Drop it. Drop it. >> Hey adrenaline junkies, welcome to Police Chase. Today we're kicking off a brand new series when people mess with the wrong cops where every dumb move instantly triggers justice mode. All right, let's dive in. On June 22nd, 2026 in Sandy Springs, Georgia, USA, officers became involved in a vehicle pursuit that had crossed into the city from neighboring jurisdictions. The driver, later identified as Jared Juwan Pierce, refused to stop despite repeated emergency signals. Traveling at speeds exceeding 110 mph, Pierce weaved through traffic putting countless drivers in danger. Even after officers carefully carried out several PIT maneuvers to safely end the pursuit, he continued pressing forward. In moments like these, one reckless decision can affect many innocent lives. >> Charles 1 is continuing on himself. Charlie 6 5, good pit, good pit. He just got to take off on me again. >> [music] [screaming] >> Charlie 6 5, good third pit. >> 4 is continuing with him. >> Yeah. Charlie 6 5, he took off again. >> You still behind him? >> Exiting the Glenridge. Another good pit, another good pit. 4 on Southbound Glenridge. TRV blocking, TRV blocking, TRV blocking. >> Still with the guy. >> The pursuit finally came to an end when Pierce abandoned the vehicle and attempted to escape on foot. Officers immediately followed, giving clear commands throughout the chase before safely taking him into custody a short time later. Sometimes running only delays the inevitable. >> GET ON THE GROUND. GET ON THE GROUND. GET ON THE GROUND. GET ON THE GROUND. GET ON THE GROUND. Get on the ground. >> Fortunately, no members of the public were injured during the incident. Pierce now faces multiple charges, including felony fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement, false imprisonment, reckless driving, driving with a suspended license, obstruction of law enforcement, and several additional traffic-related offenses. The case is another reminder that respecting the law is always the safest choice for everyone on the road. On January 26, 2025, at approximately 7:20 a.m. in Fresno, California, USA, police officers responded to reports of a burglary in progress at an apartment complex near North Backer Avenue and Shaw Avenue. A 911 caller reported seeing three armed suspects forcing their way into a residence. Surveillance cameras later showed the suspects entering the apartment and removing a heavy safe before loading it into an SUV. Just as they attempted to leave, responding officers arrived and repeatedly ordered them to surrender. Instead of complying, the driver reversed into [music] a building and suddenly accelerated toward an officer. The situation changed in an instant, forcing officers to make rapid decisions under extreme pressure. The suspects fled the apartment complex, but officers quickly began a pursuit. After the SUV was forced to stop, investigators said the driver, 37-year-old Amicho Manzia, attempted to retrieve an AR-15-style rifle before running away. >> Pick up the rifle. >> Freeze! >> Watch out. Watch out. >> Gun. Gun. Freeze! >> Shots fired. >> Believing there was an immediate threat, officers responded and a police K9 was later deployed to safely bring him into custody. Another suspect, 43-year-old Antwuan Francisco Montia, was arrested at the vehicle after officers secured the rifle. Days later, detectives located [music] and arrested the third suspect, 28-year-old Aaron Geary. >> Let me Let me get that. >> I got it. I got it. >> Officers recovered the AR-15 style rifle, a shotgun, the stolen safe, and additional evidence connected to the case. El Micho Montia was later [music] booked on charges including felony assault on a peace officer, robbery, and firearm-related offenses. Antwuan Montia faced robbery and multiple firearm charges, while Aaron Geary was also booked in connection with the home invasion. Fortunately, no officers or bystanders suffered life-threatening injuries. The incident serves as a powerful reminder that dangerous choices often lead to lasting legal consequences, while teamwork and professionalism help officers bring chaotic situations under control. >> There's a guy in the car still. >> There's another guy in the car still. Another guy in the car. >> On April 20th, 2025, at approximately 12:30 p.m. in Louisville, Kentucky, USA, officers with the Louisville Metro Police Department responded to reports of a man causing a disturbance in the 3300 block of Outer Burn Avenue. Witnesses said the 36-year-old man, later identified as Atuma McCollum, appeared to be intoxicated and was damaging apartment windows. >> All right now. Howdy. What you got in your pocket there? >> None at all. >> Looks like a knife. >> When officers arrived, they calmly began speaking with McCollum and quickly noticed he was carrying a knife. They repeatedly instructed him not to reach for it and attempted to de-escalate the situation, but instead of backing away, McCollum continued moving toward the officers. As they tried to detain him, he resisted and an electronic control device was deployed but proved ineffective. Sometimes, even the calmest approach cannot immediately change a rapidly escalating situation. >> All right, put your hands behind your back. >> No. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> No. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> Behind your back. >> You okay? Got a 15 by your shots fired. >> Moments later, McCollum reached for the knife and lunged toward one of the officers. Fortunately, the officer's protective vest prevented more serious harm. Faced with an immediate threat, the second officer responded to stop the attack. As soon as the scene was secure, both officers immediately began providing emergency medical aid while waiting for paramedics to arrive. Their actions reflected not only courage under pressure, but also their commitment to preserving life whenever possible. >> Starting EMS code three, I got a male subject with a gunshot to the head. You all right? >> Yes. >> Are you okay? >> Yeah. Think I am. >> Stand. >> One in the head. >> DROP IT. DROP IT. >> On February 16th, 2025 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA, deputies with the Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office responded to an alarming report involving two young boys just 7 and 9 years old who were holding a loaded firearm. It was the kind of call no officer ever hopes to receive. >> Get behind cover. >> Just go ahead and drop that. >> Put it down, babe. Go ahead and put it down for me, okay? >> You're not in trouble, but we got to drop that and come talk to us, all right? >> Is there a magazine inside the magazine well? >> As deputies arrived, they remained remarkably calm, speaking to the children with patience instead of fear. You're not in trouble. Put the gun on the ground, they repeatedly said, reminding the boys that this was not a game and assuring them they only wanted everyone to stay safe. Every word mattered because one wrong move could have changed everything. >> What I want you to do is I want you to hit the side of me. >> Hit the wall? >> I want you to hit the wall. >> Hey, put that Just keep it down. >> Sean. >> Put it down. >> I want you to hit the wall. Hit the floor. >> Sean, I just got to hit the wall. Put the 40 down. >> Hey, you got to do what he says. >> All right, then, Eugene. Can you put it down for me? Now Sean has it. Sean, can you just toss it to the side, babe? Let's make this easy. >> I threw it in the bush. >> Cuz we want to help you. We want to help you. >> I want Try to do a warning. >> 40 going out. 40 40 40. >> DROP IT. DROP IT. [screaming] DROP IT, SEAN. LOAD ANOTHER ONE. LOAD ANOTHER ONE. DROP IT NOW. YOU'RE GOING TO GET HIT. DROP IT. >> WHILE CONTINUING THEIR efforts to de-escalate the situation, deputies deployed a less lethal projectile in an attempt to safely interrupt the children's focus. For a brief moment, one of the boys pointed the firearm toward law enforcement, creating an extremely tense atmosphere. Thankfully, after continued reassurance and calm communication, both children eventually put the gun down without further incident. >> Drop them now. Drop them both. >> I don't even have the gun. I don't have the gun. I don't have the >> You got it. >> Deputies safely secured the firearm, and the incident ended without injuries to the children or responding officers. Authorities have not disclosed how the loaded weapon came into the boys' possession. The encounter serves as a powerful reminder that responsible firearm storage, adult supervision, and calm communication can make all the difference when [music] protecting young lives and preventing tragedy before it begins. >> Well, I'm not trying to be rude to you, man, but the speed limit is the same all over the state. >> On November 25th, 2025, in Pinellas County, Florida, USA, a sheriff's deputy stopped a 21-year-old driver after observing her traveling at 91 mph in a 35-mph zone. Moments earlier, the vehicle had also come dangerously close to a pedestrian in a crosswalk, turning an ordinary traffic stop into a serious public safety concern. >> I'm going to pat you down. >> Okay. >> You have anything in your pockets? >> No, I don't. >> Okay. All right, turn around and face me. All right, you seem like you've been drinking a little bit. You smell like it. >> Okay, I had one drink. >> Okay. All right, are you willing to submit to field sobriety? >> As the deputy spoke with the driver, identified as Chloe, he detected the odor of alcohol and began a careful investigation. Chloe admitted she had consumed one drink. Although the initial field sobriety assessment did not immediately indicate clear signs of impairment. The deputy also discovered open containers of wine inside the vehicle. Faced with the full picture, he continued the investigation with patience and professionalism rather than making assumptions. >> Okay, let's see if you're if you're impaired to the point where you shouldn't be driving. Okay, do you have your license? >> I do. It's not on me, but you guys can look at >> Okay, is this your vehicle? >> This is my mom's car. >> All right, how old are you? >> I'm 21. >> Okay, stand in front of the bumper for a second. I'm going to grab a form. >> pedestrian and I'm really really sorry. >> see the pedestrian if you're driving like excessive, you know what I mean? >> Okay, and I'm sorry, like >> Okay, so you're willing to submit to field sobriety? >> Yeah, what happened to like >> Okay. >> I don't want to get like aggressive right now. >> Well, I'm going to ask you to perform some field sobriety exercises. You have the right to say yes or no. >> Based on Florida's super speeder law, which requires an arrest for extreme excessive speeding, the deputy informed Chloe that she was being taken into custody. Throughout the encounter, she became increasingly emotional, repeatedly asking how long she would be detained and what would happen to her vehicle. Even in a stressful moment, the deputy remained calm, explained each step of the process, and ensured the situation stayed under control. >> speed limit and I >> Well, I'm not trying to be rude to you, ma'am, but the speed limit is the same all over the state. >> I'm so scared right now. I'm going to >> Okay. So, all right, listen, turn around for me. I'm going to place you under arrest. Turn around. I'm going to place you under arrest for reckless driving. You're driving way too fast, ma'am. You nearly took out the pedestrian. You're driving 91 in a 35. I I can't let you not go to You have to go to jail for that. There's a line and you crossed it. >> Chloe was later cited for dangerous excessive speeding, possessing open alcohol containers in the vehicle, and failing to yield the right of way to a pedestrian. The incident serves as an important reminder that a few seconds of speeding can lead to lasting legal consequences. More importantly, slowing down and making responsible choices behind the wheel can help protect not only your own future, but also the lives of everyone sharing the road. >> All right. On October 2nd, 2022, at approximately 12:32 p.m. on Interstate 75 near Lowndes County, Georgia, USA, Georgia State Patrol troopers joined a high-speed pursuit after local deputies requested assistance. The driver of a white Toyota Corolla had initially been stopped for traveling 98 mph in a 70 mph zone, but instead of pulling over, he accelerated and fled. As the pursuit continued, the Corolla exceeded 110 mph, weaving across multiple lanes and narrowly avoiding several other vehicles. Spike strips had already been positioned ahead, but the driver swerved into the emergency lane at the last second to avoid them. Watching the vehicle repeatedly endanger innocent motorists, troopers knew every passing mile increased the risk for everyone on the highway. After identifying a safer opening in traffic, a state trooper decided to perform a precision immobilization technique or PIT maneuver. The patrol vehicle made controlled contact with the Corolla, causing it to spin across the highway before coming to a stop off the roadway. The driver immediately ran into a nearby wooded area, prompting a coordinated search involving multiple deputies and a police K9. After nearly an hour and a half, the suspect was located hiding on the back porch of a nearby residence and was taken into custody without further incident. >> LOWNDES COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE K9, [screaming] YOU NEED TO SHOW YOUR HANDS. GET HIM. GET HIM. GET HIM. GET HIM. GET HIM. GET HIM. PUT YOUR HANDS UP. PUT YOUR HANDS UP. PUT YOUR HANDS UP. >> Investigators later recovered a backpack containing packaged marijuana and a firearm, along with information linking the suspect, 23-year-old Brandon Rosier, to several outstanding felony warrants from other jurisdictions. He was transported to the Lowndes County Jail, where he faced multiple charges while additional investigations continued. The case is a reminder that attempting to outrun the law often leads to even greater legal consequences, while the patient coordination and disciplined decisions of law enforcement help bring dangerous situations to a safe conclusion. On January 8th, 2021 at approximately 9:25 p.m. in Milledgeville, Georgia, USA, a Georgia State Patrol Trooper attempted to stop a dark-colored minivan after noticing it had no working tail lights and no rear license plate. Instead of pulling over in the parking lot of the Economy Inn, the driver suddenly accelerated, turning a routine traffic stop into a dangerous pursuit. >> I was going wrong on North Columbia headed south towards MLK. North Columbia south towards MLK. It's a black >> 10-4. minivan of some sort. Black minivan. Going left on MLK. Left on MLK. No 28 displayed. See if I can pin him here. Flight cleared north on MLK. >> The driver, later identified as Forest Trees, sped through city streets, repeatedly exceeding speed limits, passing vehicles in unsafe areas, and ignoring multiple traffic signals. As the pursuit continued, officers watched the van create growing risks for everyone sharing the road. Believing it was the safest opportunity to end the chase before conditions became even more dangerous, the trooper decided to perform a precision immobilization technique, or PIT maneuver. >> Cleared north Jackson making a right. We're south on old Jackson Road. It's a tall white van right here. We're coming back to Montgomery now. Jacobson at Montgomery again. Okay, Jacobson at Montgomery. Flight cleared it right. Milledgeville cleared it. We're on over pit road. >> The maneuver successfully brought the van under control, but the vehicle overturned before coming to rest on the roadside. As the trooper approached, he heard a female passenger calling for help while the driver fled into a nearby wooded area. Officers immediately shifted their focus to assisting the passenger, requesting medical personnel, and securing the scene before launching a K9 search for the fleeing suspect. In moments like these, protecting lives always comes before making an arrest. The passenger was transported to a hospital for treatment while officers continued searching for Trees and later obtained a warrant to search the motel room where he had been staying. Investigators recovered suspected illegal substances and drug paraphernalia, and further interviews helped confirm Trees's identity. Additional arrest warrants were later obtained as the investigation continued. The case serves as another reminder that attempting to escape often creates greater risks and more serious legal consequences than cooperating from the very beginning. >> Listen to me. Listen to me. Keep Stay Look at me. Look at me. >> Can you Can you pop the hood for me? I got no stupid questions. We got a winch cable. >> On August 23rd, 2024, at approximately 9:26 p.m. in Washington County, Arkansas, USA, an officer observed two motorcycles and a Dodge Charger accelerating rapidly away from a traffic light on Highway 412. One motorcycle immediately stood out. It had no working headlight, no visible license plate, and appeared to be racing. When the officer activated his emergency lights, the rider chose to speed away instead of stopping. >> It's a motorcycle. No 28. No mile marker. No 28. >> The motorcycle raced through intersections, ignored traffic lights, passed vehicles on both sides of the roadway, and reached speeds exceeding 100 mph. As additional officers joined the pursuit, the rider turned onto a dead-end county road before reversing direction. With the suspect continuing to endanger everyone nearby, officers knew the situation had to be brought under control before someone else was put at risk. An officer carefully positioned his patrol vehicle, slowing down while weaving slightly in an effort to reduce the motorcycle speed. The rider continued forward and eventually struck the front of the patrol vehicle before falling onto the roadway. Officers immediately secured the scene, placed the rider into custody, and requested an ambulance to evaluate his condition. Even after a dangerous pursuit, their first priority remained everyone's safety. >> I got this one. >> Just chill out. Everybody just Just hang on. I understand, but you're going to sit here for just a second. >> Please, I don't care about my >> I don't know. >> He hit me freaking hard, went up on my hood. >> After receiving medical evaluation and being released from the hospital with a minor shoulder injury, the rider, identified as Mr. Collins, was transported to the Washington County Detention Center. He later faced multiple charges, including felony fleeing, reckless driving, speeding, driving on a revoked license, operating an unregistered motorcycle without insurance, and several equipment violations. The incident is a reminder that one impulsive decision behind the handlebars can quickly become a series of serious legal consequences, while cooperation with law enforcement is always the safer path. >> I understand I made you mad. I'm sorry. I understand I made you mad. >> I don't want to listen. All you're telling me is excuses. >> I'm not excusing nothing. I'm just >> On June 23rd, 2024, at approximately 5:55 p.m. 5:00 p.m., in Los Angeles, California, USA, Los Angeles police officers responded to a report of a man allegedly carrying a knife near Adams Boulevard and St. James Place. Officer arriving, officers quickly realized the situation required immediate backup. As additional units rushed toward the scene with emergency lights and sirens activated, every second mattered. What seemed like a routine response was about to become something far more challenging. While responding through the intersection of Adams Boulevard and Gramercy Place, one patrol vehicle was involved in a serious traffic collision with a Toyota Corolla. In just a brief moment, the focus shifted from reaching the original call to handling another critical emergency. Paramedics quickly arrived and transported the Corolla's driver, Regino Orea Jr., to a nearby hospital with severe injuries, where doctors provided intensive treatment. The officers involved also sustained minor injuries, received medical care, and were later released. Incidents like this remind us that even when officers are racing to protect the public, unexpected dangers can appear without warning, changing many lives in an instant. >> [ __ ] Partner, you need some help. Hey! >> [laughter] >> Hey! Drop the gun! DROP THE KNIFE! >> [screaming] >> ON MARCH 19TH, 2024 AT 9:18 p.m. in Paramount, California, USA, deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Lakewood Station responded to a welfare call at a residence on Indiana Avenue. As the patrol vehicles moved into position on Artesia Boulevard in Long Beach, Acosta suddenly shifted into reverse and accelerated backward, colliding with the front of a patrol vehicle. The powerful impact left both vehicles unable to continue. >> Hey, PUT YOUR [ __ ] HANDS UP. Put your hands up. Put your hands up. PUT YOUR HANDS UP. HEY, PUT YOUR HANDS UP. >> HE'S GOT a knife IN HIS HAND. >> [laughter] [screaming] >> MOMENTS LATER, DEPUTIES saw him step out holding a knife. Despite repeated commands to drop the weapon, he continued [music] moving toward the deputies, forcing them to react within seconds. >> Hey, you guys good? >> Drop the knife. >> Hey, DROP THE KNIFE. HEY, DROP THE KNIFE. HEY, drop the knife. >> Deputies immediately provided emergency medical assistance while waiting for paramedics to arrive. A knife with a blade measuring approximately 3 in was later recovered at the scene. One deputy received treatment for injury sustained during the collision, while no other members of the public were reported injured. >> Drop the knife. >> HEY, DROP THE KNIFE. HEY, DROP THE KNIFE. HEY, drop the knife, BRO. DROP THE KNIFE. >> ON JULY 11TH, 2026 at 8:13 a.m. in Austin, Texas, USA, Austin police officers responded to multiple 911 calls reporting that a man riding an electric scooter was allegedly threatening runners with a handgun near West 5th Street and North Lamar Boulevard at approximately 11:07 a.m. Officers located a man matching the description near the Ann and Roy Butler Hike and Bike Trail. When they ordered him to stop, he abandoned the scooter and ran. During the brief foot pursuit, officers observed what appeared to be a handgun and repeatedly instructed him to drop it. >> Gun, gun, gun! >> According to investigators, the man did not comply and as officers closed the distance, he turned while still holding the firearm, forcing an immediate response. >> Take cover. Take cover. >> Yeah, yeah, yeah. >> Are y'all hurt? >> No. >> Let me see your hands. >> All right. >> All right, let's >> Officers quickly secured the scene and immediately began providing emergency medical assistance until paramedics arrived. The individual was later identified as 29-year-old Emanuel Diaz. No officers or members of the public were reported injured during the incident. Looking back, it's hard not to wonder how differently the day might have unfolded if lawful commands had been followed from the beginning. Sometimes, a single decision made in just a few seconds can change the course of many lives. >> Do not move. >> Don't come over here. >> On April 8th, 2026, at approximately 3:02 p.m. in Texarkana, Arkansas, USA, what begins as a simple seatbelt enforcement quickly turns into something far more serious. A gray Honda Accord catches the officer's attention and in that moment, it seems like just another routine stop. >> 25010-24 25 10-10 Locust Northbound Locust Not stopping. Trying to stop William Cannon 4200 block of William Cannon 428 >> The officer activates lights and signals the driver to stop, but the vehicle keeps moving at a slow pace, ignoring clear instructions. Within moments, the situation escalates as the driver begins running stop signs and accelerating through city streets. You can feel the shift as a minor violation turns into a deliberate attempt to flee. >> Black male male white t-shirt 16th and Locust 16th and Locust Northbound County >> Speeds rise dramatically as the vehicle pushes beyond 80, then over 100 mph, ignoring traffic signals and forcing other drivers to react quickly. At one point, the driver throws items out of the window, adding to the urgency of the situation. The pursuit reaches its peak when the vehicle runs another intersection and collides with multiple cars, bringing everything to a sudden halt. >> He continued on William Cannon. 38 38 run on foot at Arkansas and County 2530 On foot on foot Run back towards Arkansas. Where did he go? Where? >> The driver attempts to run on foot but is quickly caught after a short pursuit. He is taken into custody and later faces multiple serious charges including fleeing, reckless driving, and possession of illegal substances. One person involved in the crash requires medical attention. What started as a minor violation becomes a chain reaction leaving behind a lasting reminder that every choice on the road carries consequences. >> My leg hurts. >> I don't care. Bend over my car. Bend over my car. >> Oh. Oh, my leg hurts. >> I don't care. Stay right there. >> Hey. Hey. Hey, call my mama. 7771 >> How do you know all of YouTube knows your mama's number now? Stop. Stop. >> I ain't doing nothing. >> Who are you? >> Who are you, bro? You're arresting me. >> Stop moving. Just stop. >> Bro, you're arresting me, bro. Hey. Come here, bro. Please. Please. >> Don't come over here. >> Hey. Hey. Hey, bro, you got to hurry me, bro. >> Lean over the car. Gosh dang. >> I ain't >> Chill out. You're done. It's over. Stop. >> Get in the car. >> Stop. >> You get my leg up in the car. >> No, we're we're going in my back seat. >> Hey. >> Walk to this. >> HEY. NO, YOU GOT TO TAKE ME to the >> to carry you if you don't walk. >> OH, NO. NO. >> ON APRIL 11TH, 2026 AT 8:40 p.m. on a highway in Arkansas, USA, a sobriety checkpoint is set up under the night sky. Officers stand ready, calmly guiding vehicles through what should be a routine safety stop. Everything appears controlled, almost predictable. >> Hello. How are you, sir? >> I'm doing good. >> Trooper Foster, Arkansas State Police. Man, this is a sobriety checkpoint. Do you have your driver's license on you? You got anything to drink? Where you headed to? >> As one vehicle approaches, it slows down as if preparing to comply. Then, in a sudden shift, the driver accelerates [music] and veers away from the checkpoint. The calm atmosphere breaks instantly. Why turn away at the last moment when everything could have been resolved right there? >> Speed 105 right now. He took a side road. I'm going to pull this guy over on Lewis. >> Officers react quickly and initiate a pursuit. The vehicle speeds through the roadway attempting to create distance, but the officers remain close behind. At the right moment, a tactical maneuver is executed bringing the vehicle to a controlled stop. In that instant, the tension that had been building finds its release. >> [groaning] >> Wait, wait, wait. I got THE DOG. HEY! HEY! HEY! GET BACK! >> THE DRIVER is taken into custody without further escalation. What started as a simple checkpoint becomes a powerful reminder that avoiding responsibility often leads to bigger problems, while cooperation [music] could have kept everything simple. >> WALK IN THE HOUSE NOW OR I'M GOING TO PLACE YOU UNDER ARREST. DO YOU UNDERSTAND? >> I don't care if you're not going to talk. >> Go inside. >> Over here. >> On April 30th, 2024, at approximately 5:41 p.m. in North Little Rock, Arkansas, USA, officers responded to a report of a disturbance involving a weapon at a residence on West Street. The victims told officers that a man they knew, later identified as Terry Young Truitt, had stayed overnight at their home before leaving early that morning. Not long afterward, they realized several personal belongings had disappeared. Attempts to contact him by phone and message went unanswered. Later that afternoon, as the victims returned home, a red passenger car suddenly stopped in front of them. Young Truitt stepped out, accompanied by another man later identified as Braden Crum. According to investigators, both men were carrying firearms. A heated argument quickly unfolded near the driveway. Investigators say Young Truitt pointed the firearm toward one of the victims and then struck her once with it during the confrontation. Just as emotions reached their highest point, the sound of approaching police sirens echoed through the neighborhood. Realizing officers were arriving, both men rushed back into the vehicle and attempted to drive away, leading officers into a pursuit. >> Officers later recovered a firearm believed to be connected to the incident, and both suspects were taken into custody as the investigation continued. The victims documented their injuries and chose to pursue legal action. Looking back, what started with a night of trust ended in fear, damaged relationships, and serious legal consequences. It's a reminder that when conflicts are answered with intimidation instead of reason, everyone involved can pay a far greater price than they ever expected. On May 11th, 2025 in West Memphis, Arkansas, USA, Arkansas State Police received a bolo for a blue Hyundai Elantra believed to be connected to a reported robbery. While monitoring Interstate 55 near the Tennessee state line, troopers spotted a vehicle matching the description and moved in to verify the license plate. >> Even before emergency lights were activated, the Elantra began accelerating well beyond the speed limit. Once officers confirmed the license plate, they initiated a traffic stop, but the driver continued across the bridge toward Tennessee, weaving through traffic at speeds approaching 100 mph. During the pursuit, officers also noticed unusual movement from a passenger in the backseat, raising concerns that the situation could become even more unpredictable. >> I'm calling Glenn FM mobile. >> After receiving authorization, troopers carried out a second tactical vehicle intervention, successfully bringing the Elantra under control near the 9-mi marker in Memphis. The vehicle spun into the median before coming to a stop. One passenger immediately ran from the scene, while the driver stayed with the vehicle and complied with officers' commands. The fleeing passenger was later located inside an abandoned house nearby and was taken into custody without further incident. Investigators also recovered an airsoft gun believed to be connected to the case. >> Hey, keep your hands >> Get your hands out of the vehicle! >> Stop. Stop. Stop. KEEP YOUR HANDS UP! Hold on. Hold on. Keep your hands up. Hey! >> The driver, identified as Joe N. Carter, told investigators that he had continued driving because he felt threatened by one of the passengers. Both individuals were later transferred to local authorities as the investigation continued. Looking back, this pursuit crossed state lines in only a matter of minutes. Yet, it also showed how quickly fear, poor decisions, and reckless driving can place countless innocent people at risk. Sometimes, choosing to stop and cooperate is the decision that protects everyone on the road. On June 4th, 2025, at approximately 5:50 p.m., just minutes later, officers located the pickup and attempted to conduct a traffic stop near 5th Street. Despite the flashing emergency lights and sirens, the driver continued forward without slowing down. The pickup passed several safe places to stop and gradually increased its speed as traffic became lighter. With rainy weather and a more populated area just ahead, officers knew every extra mile could increase the risk for innocent drivers. >> TVI TVI TVI >> TVI >> SHOW ME YOUR HANDS! SHOW ME YOUR [ __ ] HANDS! SHOW ME YOUR [ __ ] HANDS! >> TO PREVENT THE PURSUIT from becoming even more dangerous, officers carried out a tactical vehicle intervention just south of the highway 225 intersection. The maneuver caused the pickup to rotate into a grassy shoulder where the driver, later identified as Jeremiah Webb, jumped out and ran toward a nearby wooded area. Trooper Corey Earls immediately pursued him on foot, repeatedly ordering him to stop. Moments later, Webb gave up and was safely taken into custody without further resistance. >> What the [ __ ] was that? >> I don't know. Yeah, baby, that's my truck. That's my truck. >> I didn't I didn't ding it up too bad, man. You ignorant ass [ __ ] >> to get up? >> Boy, you thought you was slick, didn't you, man? >> Hey, you got someone to pick this up, buddy? >> Yeah, I'll get somebody. >> Okay. They told me to do it. >> Yeah, I'm going to find out who you're affiliated with, you [ __ ] liar. >> They told me to do it. >> Hey, can you grab it? >> The pickup was later returned to its rightful owner, bringing the incident to a safe conclusion. Looking back, the entire pursuit lasted only a few minutes, yet it carried the potential to affect many lives. A single decision to ignore lawful commands turned an already difficult situation into a dangerous one. Fortunately, thanks to a measured response from officers, the vehicle was recovered, no bystanders were harmed, and the incident ended without further escalation. On April 7th, 2021, at approximately 9:00 p.m. in New Mexico, USA, state police responded to a roadside call involving a group of teenagers suspected of underage drinking near a residential neighborhood. What appeared to be a routine investigation would soon become a lesson in how attitude can shape the outcome of an encounter. >> Well, we're 18. >> mom can drive it and I can drive her car. Is that cool? >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Yeah? >> Actually, no, cuz you're wearing the car. Actually, none of you guys can drive. >> None of us? >> Cuz there's alcohol in the car. That's why. >> Even even if I have my license, I have to leave the car here and come and get it later. >> No, no, no, no, no. Let's Let's try to get somebody. Let's try to get somebody to come get the car. >> my mom's coming to get the car. >> Officers contacted the group and located alcoholic beverages in their possession. Most of the teenagers remained cooperative and followed instructions. However, [music] one 18-year-old woman reacted differently.
