Investigators identified him as 37year-old John Johnson, who was wanted in connection with serious firearm related charges. >> We're banishing. They back there. They back there. >> Hurry. Hurry. [music] Oh, there it is. Officers from several agencies joined the pursuit. After tire [music] spikes were deployed, Johnson's vehicle eventually collided with another car near Brook Park Road and Columbia Road. He then ran toward a nearby apartment complex while carrying a handgun. In seconds, a vehicle pursuit had turned into a far more delicate situation. Coming up to Columbia's going to be fleeing. Back up. Back up. Back up. Move. MOVE. Get out of the house. [screaming] GET OUT OF THE HOUSE NOW. SHOW ME YOUR [ __ ] HANDS. PUT YOUR HANDS OUT. >> Investigators said Johnson forced a resident, Eliia Abolados, back inside her apartment while her four children were home. An aire officer arrived, moved the children away from the doorway, and forced entry. The officer later said he saw Johnson's handgun pointed toward him. Less than a second later, the situation escalated. In moments like this, training and instinct leave almost no room for hesitation. EXIT OUT. CONTACT EMS. >> GRAB MY KIT. >> GUNS ON HIS RIGHT SIDE. >> According to BCI, 15 shots were recorded within about 3.85 [music] seconds. Another officer entered, secured Johnson's handgun, and helped stabilize the scene while medical aid was provided. Authorities reported that no officers or civilians were injured. For the family inside, the most important thing was that the danger had finally stopped. Hey. HEY. >> On August 6th, 2021, at about 7:03 p.m. in La Habra, California, USA, police received a 911 call from a woman who said a vehicle had been following her from work. Dispatchers directed her to drive straight to the police station, but the other driver followed her there. Officers soon contacted the driver identified as 22-year-old Matthew Tuan Tran near the station entrance. At first, the encounter appeared under control. What's going on? >> Hi. How's it going? >> Good. What's going on here? >> Uh, I'm just seeing somebody right now. >> Okay. You show us through these cars? >> Uh, no. Okay. All right. Yeah. >> Well, we'll get to you in a sec. Okay. >> But as officer Millard began walking away, TR suddenly pulled a handgun [music] from his waist. In an instant, an ordinary conversation became an emergency. Okay. Hey. >> Hey. Hey. You okay? >> No. [ __ ] >> Police said TR fired toward Officer Millward. Officer Fox witnessed the threat and immediately responded to protect her colleague. The confrontation unfolded within seconds, showing just how little time officers sometimes have to make a critical decision. Where you hit? Where are you hit? >> On the chest. [ __ ] >> Okay, you're okay. Take a deep breath. Take a deep breath. >> 10:33. Suspect is down. I've got an officer down. We need help. >> Paramedics quickly arrived and provided assistance. Officer Milward was taken to the hospital in critical condition, but recovered and was released nearly a week later. A woman had driven to the police station seeking safety, and the officer's rapid response helped prevent the situation from escalating any further. Drop the gun now. SUSPECT, [laughter] DROP THE GUN, SUSPECT, DROP THE GUN OR I'LL SHOOT you again. Drop the gun or I will shoot you again. On January 31st, 2020 at about 6:48 p.m. in Fremont, California, USA, police responded to a Sephora store after three men allegedly took around $19,000 worth of merchandise and left in a black SUV. Officers soon located the vehicle heading north on Interstate 880. >> Okay. So, there you know what race or how old or anything further? >> Three Africanamean white hoodies, one has a black hoodie. Okay, hold on. What I want you to do is can you describe it one at a time for me? So, the one with the white hoodie. Anything further? >> Well, so I don't know exactly what they're wearing, but we do have cameras. >> The driver identified as 30-year-old Stefan Tobias refused to stop and accelerated with the vehicle's lights off. After a pursuit of roughly 10 m, the SUV reached a culde-sac in Union City, drove onto a residential yard, and nearly struck an occupied home. What began inside a store was now putting an entire neighborhood at risk. Heat. Heat. You want a cold sack? >> HEY, [screaming] STOP RIGHT THERE. STOP. >> Officers surrounded the SUV and ordered the three occupants to comply. Instead, police said Tobias drove into several patrol vehicles. Fearing he could be struck, officer Daryl Manrika responded with his service weapon, bringing the confrontation to an end. In that moment, the priority was no longer the missing merchandise. It was protecting everyone nearby. There people now. >> Tobias received medical treatment before being taken into custody. The other two occupants, Raidwan Lindsay and Cameron Stanley, were also detained. Investigators recovered the Sephora merchandise and determined the SUV had previously been reported stolen. The original store incident was later classified as felony grand theft, and authorities said no weapons were found in the vehicle. car into park now. Let the car park now. >> On July 20th, 2022, at about 7:20 p.m. in Eureka, California, USA, Hanbolt County deputies spotted a white Kia Sorrento traveling recklessly at around 65 mph when they attempted a traffic stop. The driver identified as 27-year-old Derque Miles McKewan refused to stop, beginning a pursuit through the area. >> Get a bullet. Move the laptop. Do you turn on the highland 45 >> 50 multiple shot? >> Yeah. >> Multiple additional shots fired. >> 91 shots fired by the police. Shots fired by the police. As deputies followed the Kia onto Vance Avenue, the situation suddenly became far more serious. Investigators said the front passenger, 32-year-old Jared Eli Aubrey, displayed a rifle and fired several rounds toward the pursuing deputies. One round reportedly entered a nearby home, but fortunately, no one inside was injured. In seconds, a traffic pursuit had become a threat to everyone nearby. >> DAMN IT, HARRISON. >> HEY, [screaming] TURN IT OFF. TURN IT OFF. I'LL [ __ ] SHOOT YOU. Turn off the car. GET OUT OF THE [screaming] CAR. GET OUT OF THE CAR. GET OUT OF THE CAR. GET OUT OF THE CAR. GET OUT OF THE CAR. GET OUT OF [screaming] THE CAR. GET OUT OF THE CAR. GO. GO. GO. >> THE pursuit continued for another 1.7 mi near Utah Street and Highland Avenue. Investigators said Aubrey leaned from the vehicle and pointed the rifle toward the deputies. A field training officer responded with his departmentisssued rifle. At that moment, there was almost no time for hesitation, only seconds to protect the officers and the public around them. >> Get on the ground. [screaming] Get on the ground. GET ON THE GROUND. GET ON THE GROUND. I GET DOWN. GET ON THE GROUND. GET DOWN. GET DOWN. [screaming] GET DOWN. GET DOWN. GET DOWN. >> GET OUT OF THE VEHICLE. >> ONE PERSON GIVING COMMANDS. ANYBODY MOVE, YOU GET SHOT. >> THE CHASE finally ended at Buuna Street and Harrison Avenue when the Kia collided with another vehicle and could no longer continue. All three occupants were detained while Aubrey and Mchuan were later booked into the Humble County Correctional Facility. Investigators also recovered an AK-47 style rifle. A dangerous pursuit had finally stopped, leaving behind a powerful reminder of how quickly reckless choices can place innocent people in harm's way. got a backup. >> On January 22nd, 2026, at about 3:44 p.m. in Hernando County, Florida, USA, a Florida Highway Patrol trooper was alerted to a white Chevrolet Express van heading south on State Road 589. Authorities said the driver had an active felony warrant and had allegedly used the van in a threatening manner toward Citrus County deputies. 47. You got another unit just north of 50 if you want to wait. Go 50. That's 65. 50. >> The trooper positioned his patrol car near mile marker 49. Minutes later, he spotted the van approaching with an unmarked Citrus County vehicle following behind. He activated his lights and siren and moved in to make the stop, but the driver kept going. What could have ended with a simple stop was quickly becoming a much greater risk travel back >> the van and continued south at around 90 mph in a 70 mm zone, forcing the trooper into a pursuit. At that speed, every passing vehicle and every sudden movement carried another layer of danger. The longer the driver refused to stop, the less room anyone had for error. [ __ ] Open the door. >> The pursuit continued south on State Road 589 as officers worked to bring the situation under control. From this point, one thing was already clear. Refusing to stop had turned an existing legal problem into a dangerous highway encounter, putting not only the driver, but everyone sharing the road at unnecessary risk. >> Do you want charges on me get them or you can get them if you want them? Cuz you were the one that actually made the pit. We'll go with uh we'll loyal. >> On April 12th, 2024 in Riverdale, Georgia, USA, a Clayton County Cobra Unit officer noticed a vehicle displaying a test drive tag that reportedly did not meet Georgia regulations. The officer attempted a routine traffic stop, but the driver had other plans. I will be pulling into the wind jammer center plaza vehicles taking way. >> Instead of pulling over, the driver accelerated, leading officers on a pursuit through Riverdale. According to the report, the car belonged to his girlfriend and was still new. A minor traffic issue was now turning into a much bigger problem. All because of one decision not to stop. Let's go drive up. We're going to be going towards 85 85 eastbound 85. on Southwest Parkway. As the pursuit continued, an officer used a pit maneuver to bring it to an end. The fleeing car lost control and rolled over before finally coming to rest. In just seconds, the chase was over. And so was the condition of that new car. TA gun. We're going to get out. >> Yeah, you're going to get out the [ __ ] car. >> I don't give a [screaming] [ __ ] Shut up. with it. [laughter] One, two, hold. Stand high. Stand high. >> Officers helped the occupants out through the windshield and fortunately, no injuries were reported. They were taken into custody and a small amount of marijuana was reportedly found on one individual. The driver then had another concern. How would he explain his girlfriend's new car? Sometimes avoiding a simple traffic stop can create consequences far greater than the original problem. >> So if you don't know, sir, you are under arrest. Sorry. >> On July 13th, 2024 in College Park, Clayton County, Georgia, USA, a deputy spotted a man riding a dirt bike on Godby Road without a visible tag and in an unsafe manner. The deputy activated his emergency lights and attempted a routine traffic stop, but the rider refused to pull over. >> [music] >> Turn it on. >> Got me on >> towards Fton. According to the deputy's report, the rider looked back, laughed, made a disrespectful hand gesture, and accelerated away. He repeatedly entered opposing lanes, crossed grassy areas, and ignored traffic controls while officers followed. Several drivers were forced to break suddenly to avoid him. What started as a simple traffic stop was now putting complete strangers at risk. Cover one, we're in pursuit of it. Southampton red, black male with a black jacket, blue light. go. >> The pursuit continued south on State Route 314. After turning onto Norman Boulevard and riding onto the grass again, the rider suddenly laid the bike down, raised his hands, and surrendered. After taking so many risks to get away, the chase ended with the same choice he could have made from the very beginning. Stop. Everyone that plays All right. Coming up. All right. He just struck a patrol car. So now he got hit and run. Officers took him into custody without further incident. Investigators found that the dirt bike was not stolen, but it was reportedly unregistered, uninsured, and the rider lacked the proper motorcycle license. Officers also recovered a Glock 43 that was confirmed not stolen. Medical personnel checked the rider, and no injuries were reported. In the end, a few minutes of reckless choices created far more trouble than the original traffic violation ever would have. >> Hey, sir. Hey, sir. On December 31st, 2024 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA, more police located a vehicle driven by 35-year-old Kayla Cervantes, who was wanted on multiple felony warrants. Officers attempted a traffic stop, but Cervantes refused to pull over, beginning a pursuit. We have exited our locker button 81. Police said Cervantes drove erratically through traffic lights, entered opposing lanes, and cut through parking lots while officers followed. With other motorists all around, every sudden move increased the danger. What began as an attempt to avoid police was now putting complete strangers at risk. after the service road going back west 24 50 mph still westbound westbound westbound. Near I 240 and May Avenue, officers used a TBI maneuver to bring the pursuit under control. Cervantes's vehicle rolled onto its side before coming to a stop. After minutes of uncertainty, everything changed in seconds and the chase was finally over. Cervantes was taken into custody without further incident, medically cleared at a hospital, and later booked into the Cleveland County Detention Center. Authorities said she had multiple outstanding warrants and was also facing allegations involving several illegal substances. Fortunately, no officers or civilians were injured. In the end, running didn't erase the original problems. It only added more consequences along the way. >> Headquarters, we're going to need a unit eastbound to block. Uh, we got a lot of debris on the eastbound lanes as well. >> So, can you please drop the knife for us? >> On November 1st, 2023, at around 7:00 a.m. in Brooklyn, New York, USA, NYPD officers Santiago and Nicholas Brush were on routine patrol when their license plate reader identified a black 2022 Honda HRV connected to a double homicide investigation. An ordinary morning suddenly became anything but ordinary. >> WHAT IS THAT? [screaming] >> RIGHT NOW. >> Officers approached 47year-old Jason Pass and spoke with him for several minutes. Without warning, he ran while holding a knife. More officers arrived and repeatedly called out, "Drop the knife." For nearly 30 minutes, they tried to calm the situation and persuade him to surrender peacefully. Would he make the right choice? >> Watch everyone. Watch crossfire. Watch crossfire. Get on the ground. >> Just get on the ground. >> Just get on the ground. But it's not the end of it. Come on. >> Instead, pass suddenly moved [music] toward the officers while still armed. Facing an immediate threat, several officers responded to stop the danger, bringing the tense confrontation to an end within seconds. >> She's been there a long time, right? That's the cop. That's the cop. >> So, can you please drop the knife for us? >> Officers secured the scene, recovered the knife, and requested [music] medical assistance. The incident serves as a reminder that one decision can change everything and choosing cooperation is often the safest path for everyone involved. Give me a bucket. On December 17th, 2023, at around 11 p.m. in Strawburg, Virginia, USA, officer George Rathor responded to a 911 call reporting that 40-year-old Melissa Tomkins was behaving erratically and damaging property at a local hotel. What started as a disturbance call quickly turned into a critical situation. >> Yeah. Can I get someone at the Ramada in Strawburg, Virginia? >> What's going on? >> Okay. I work here and I step out front to smoke a cigarette. I go back inside and I see what looks like somebody's clothes in the lobby. All right. >> Where's he at? >> Uh in here like going crazy like throwing everything. [clears throat] Like can somebody please hurry up? I mean he's like throwing she's throwing cans of soda at us and everything. >> I'm getting officers heading that way. Okay. >> All right. What's that? >> Who is? Come here. >> Everybody, >> come here. Come here. Come here. Come here. Come here. It's the police. You're safe. >> No, I'm not. >> You're safe. Come here. >> Can you please? >> I'm the police. Come here. >> Wait. Are you going to take me to jail? >> No. No. No. No. >> No. For real. When officer Rathor attempted to stop her, Tommpkins ran across the parking lot, even after a taser was deployed, she continued advancing. During the struggle, she grabbed the officer's radio, wrapped its cord around his neck, and later took control of his baton, despite repeatedly shouting, "Stop! I don't want to shoot you." She continued moving toward him. In moments like these, every second matters. >> Get back. Why? Get back. Stop it. I don't WANT TO SHOOT YOU. >> I DON'T WANT TO SHOOT YOU. >> I'm right next to you. With the threat escalating and no [music] safe way to retreat, the officer made a split-second decision to stop the attack. >> The confrontation ended moments later, and backup officers immediately moved in to secure the scene and provide emergency aid. >> Get out. Stop. Get out. Medical teams arrived within minutes while investigators reviewed body cam and surveillance footage from the hotel. The incident reminds us that unpredictable encounters can change in an instant and following lawful commands [music] is often the safest choice for everyone involved. >> I'll swap you out. This way. This way, BRO. THIS WAY. >> [screaming] >> ON NOVEMBER 11TH, 2023 in Houston, Texas, USA, Westside Patrol officers attempted to stop a stolen vehicle driven by a 19-year-old suspect. Instead of pulling over, the driver sped away, leading officers on a dangerous chase through busy streets before crashing into several vehicles on the Southwest Freeway. Dallas this way. This way, bro. This way. [ __ ] >> [screaming] >> AS OFFICER Jay Gibson gave clear commands, the suspect suddenly produced a firearm and opened fire, leaving the officer injured. Fellow officers and a nearby citizen quickly pulled him to safety while additional units rushed to the scene. Even after leaving the stolen vehicle, the suspect ignored repeated orders to drop the weapon and attempted to enter another vehicle. Over here, right here. You're okay, bro. You're okay. GREEN, PUT YOUR GUN DOWN. You're going to You're okay. You're going to be all right. >> WHERE YOU AT? WHERE YOU AT? >> YOU'RE GOING TO BE OKAY. >> RELAX. RELAX. Hold my head. on his right. >> Hey, we got a hustle. [screaming] >> Hey, get him. Get him. GET HIM. >> HEY, IT'S RIGHT THERE. >> As the threat continued, officers acted to stop the immediate danger. The suspect fell to the ground, but still ignored commands and attempted to reload the firearm, forcing officers to respond again before safely taking him into custody. It was a matter of seconds. Yet, every decision carried enormous weight. >> We make sure we clear this car first. Turn the white car. >> Clear the white car. >> Hey, move up that way. Keep going. Keep going. >> Hey, just watch the oil. It's slippery. I already I already bust my ass. >> Hey, listen. I'm going to move up on the suspect. Officers immediately provided medical aid after the scene was secured. Officer Gibson was transported to a hospital in stable condition while investigators continued examining the incident. The case is a powerful reminder that fleeing from the law can quickly place many lives at risk. While professionalism and teamwork help protect the community. >> Yeah. >> Hold on. On May 19th, 2023, at around 300 p.m. in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA, officers responded to a 911 call after a woman reported that her 42-year-old brother, David Gaylor, was in severe emotional distress and had threatened both himself and anyone who approached his apartment. From the very beginning, officers knew this would require patience and caution. STAY [ __ ] >> officers spent several minutes trying to communicate through the front door and a nearby window while requesting a mobile crisis unit. Suddenly, Gayler opened the door holding a 6-foot pole with a knife attached to the end and rushed toward the officers. They repeatedly shouted, "Drop the weapon." while backing away and trying to create distance. >> [ __ ] you. [ __ ] YOU. [ __ ] YOU. >> One officer deployed a taser, but it failed to stop him. Gayler continued advancing, leaving officers with only moments to react. Faced with an immediate threat, they acted to stop the danger and quickly secured the scene. Sometimes even the best efforts to calm a crisis are not enough. Officers and emergency responders immediately provided medical assistance while investigators documented the incident. The encounter serves as a reminder that mental health crises are complex and seeking help early can prevent situations from reaching a point where no one wants them to go. >> Easy. Easy. >> It's spinning up. On May 7th, 2025, at approximately 8:20 p.m. near Preston on westbound Interstate 90 in Seattle, Washington, USA, a Washington State Patrol officer attempted to stop a Honda Civic for a lane violation. What appeared to be a routine traffic violation quickly escalated into a chase involving two brothers, a helicopter, and a series of risky maneuvers. The male driver who looks Hispanic is light skin black hair with a red and white jacket. Try with a red and white jacket. >> There's two vehicles now. This is right in front of me trying to please. We're about 100 milesPH. >> Investigators said the driver identified as 21-year-old Victor A. Hernandez Pedes refused to stop and sped away. Dash cam footage reportedly captured evasive maneuvers, an unsuccessful push to induce intervention, PS, yet even driving against the flow of traffic at high speed. Commander has >> exiting the high point. Sorry, we're coming from a high winds when I originally stopped him. He yelled out the window that he has a kid and he's losing control. >> Authorities said Daniel O'Hernandez Pedes, Victor's 18-year-old brother, arrived at the scene in a silver infinity and repeatedly obstructed the pursuit, even positioning his car between the patrol car and his brothers to help his brother escape. >> The vehicle lost control aka the high point from Highland. Subject to take over, take it from the correct lanes of traffic. 126. We're starting to rolling. Slow down. Okay, there it is. Right there. Easy, easy. >> It's spinning out now. It's facing the right way. It's in the ditch. Go, go. >> With the assistance of the Guardian 1 helicopter and Seattle police officers, Daniel was eventually apprehended and safe. Both brothers are now facing multiple criminal charges, including attempting to evade law enforcement, obstruction, and reckless endangerment. While investigators continue to review the events surrounding the incident, many believe they really thought they were in GTA trying to double team the cop. Which one? >> They're taking the passenger in custody. They're still talking to the driver and they're taking both into custody right now. >> On May 26th, 2025, at approximately 8:00 a.m. in the 2600 block of Northwest 27th Avenue in Marian County, Florida, US, Corporal Gary Miller of the traffic division spotted a vehicle speeding by about 20 mph. What seemed like a simple stop quickly escalated into one of the most frantic chases ever. Corporal Miller activated his hazard lights and attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver, identified as 31-year-old Leroy Graham, continued to drive away. For several minutes, Graham maintained a normal speed before suddenly accelerating as he reached Interstate 75 on Northwest Blitchton. Turning on old lady coming up the state road. >> Coming up the state road. Cash [music] stays 40. >> Dash cam footage later showed a multi-mile chase with Corporal Miller making multiple attempts to intercept the vehicle using the PT method while other deputy sheriffs, Sheriff Okala and the sheriff's aviation team also joined in. >> [music] >> another pit. He's driving out of it. Coming up. The chase finally ended when Graham turned on to Southwest Highway 200 and stopped. In a suspected criminal stop, officers safely apprehended him. According to investigators, Graham later explained that he fled because he did not have a valid driver's license. Graham was taken to Marian County Jail and held on $5,500 bail, which he posted later that same day. Well, that's a dumb Florida man. Right. On May 29th, 2025, at approximately 600 p.m. on Interstate 75 in Franklin, Butler County, Ohio, below Ohio State Highway Patrol officers were conducting a speed check when they spotted a red GMC envoy traveling at 82 mph in a 65 mph zone. What began as a speeding violation quickly escalated into an unbelievable rollover accident. 1920 get in front again towards the uh we get a good visual on the driver. I believe so. She made eye contact with us like 279 road. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but investigators said the driver, identified as Jennifer Wilson, refused to comply. Dash cam footage shows the SUV continuing on the road for several minutes before veering off the road. In an apparent attempt to regain control, Wilson steered too sharply, causing the vehicle to flip over multiple times before coming to a stop at the median. In moments like these, a few seconds of panic can sometimes outweigh years of driving experience. [music] Yeah. >> Fire hydrar. As emergency responders rushed to the scene, a passing nurse stopped to help before the official medical team arrived. Wilson sustained minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for examination. Following medical care, Wilson was arrested and is now facing several charges, including driving under the influence, failing to comply with a legal order, and losing control of a vehicle. Investigators have also linked her to a hit-and-run accident earlier that day in Montgomery County. Massive shout out to that ICU nurse who pulled over to help out. God bless her. just helping. >> On September 14th, 2022, at approximately 1:25 p.m. in Savannah, Georgia, USA, a Georgia State Patrol officer spotted a white Ford Taurus whose driver appeared to be distracted by a cell phone. When the officer activated his lights and siren, the driver refused to stop, turning a routine traffic stop into a dangerous chase. Dash cam footage shows the Taurus repeatedly driving against traffic, weaving between vehicles, and speeding through intersections. The officer slowed down several times to protect other drivers, even as the suspect created further distance. Watching the video, it's hard not to wonder how quickly a single misstep can put so many people in danger. The chase ended after the Taurus entered an intersection at a red light and collided with other vehicles. Officers quickly cordined off the scene and requested medical assistance. Investigators later found a loaded handgun, suspected marijuana, cash, and other items inside the vehicle. My main concern is my family driving with nut jobs on the road like this. No, no, hold on. I got you, Mr. Lewis. What's your uh phone number? 912. Uh-huh. On August 27th to 28th, 2025 in Jonesboro and Bllytheville, Arkansas before continuing into Pemiscott County, Missouri, USA, officers from multiple agencies pursued a white Chevrolet Tahoe traveling at speeds of up to 115 mph. What began as a local pursuit soon crossed state lines, demanding precise coordination from every officer involved. 452 is still running off. We're going to pass some Verizon Wireless. He's passing in oncoming traffic now. They're passing the hall. Trooper Jones became the lead unit and attempted several tactical vehicle intervention TVI maneuvers. The first attempt was disrupted when the driver break checked the patrol vehicle and the second attempt failed as the SUV escaped. Still, officers stayed focused, waiting for the right moment. Sometimes patience is just as important as speed. >> Send him again. All right, coming up on the bridge. TVI TVI TV success. >> Copy successful. >> On the third attempt, the TVI was successful, causing the SUV to lose control after striking the concrete barriers. Deputies and officers from several agencies quickly surrounded the vehicle and safely took all three occupants into custody without anyone being injured. >> Don't move. [screaming] Do not move. Open the door in [screaming] your hand. Show me your ass right now. Show me your ass. >> Come out the window. Come out. >> Hold this window down. Hey, bro. Hey, give me your head. A search of the SUV uncovered suspected narcotics, multiple mobile phones, and merchandise believed to have been stolen. The driver later admitted fleeing because of outstanding warrants in a previous pursuit. The case shows that running from the law often leads to even more serious consequences. While teamwork and professionalism help bring dangerous situations to a safe conclusion. >> I love you, baby. >> We're in custody. We're secure. >> You got a dog on you? >> Yeah. This is blow up right here. Secure the >> on January 1st, 2022 in Fulton County, Georgia, USA, a patrol officer noticed a silver Lexus SUV reverse through an intersection and stop in the middle of traffic. A short time later, the officer performed a Piet maneuver, causing the vehicle to spin and come to a stop. To prevent another escape, the patrol carfully pinned the SUV against a guardrail. [screaming] Over. Put your hands behind your back. Put your other hand behind your back. >> The driver stepped out but quickly climbed back into the SUV, attempting to drive away again. The officer opened the driver's door, deployed a taser, and safely brought the situation under control. In moments like these, calm decisions often make the biggest difference. You >> all right? The suspect was taken into custody, medically evaluated at a hospital, and [music] later transported to the Fulton County Jail. The incident is another reminder that cooperating during a traffic stop is always safer than turning a simple encounter into a much more serious situation. Huh? You okay? You all right? On August 17th, 2023, at approximately 7:28 p.m. in Little Rock, Arkansas, USA, Arkansas State Police joined a pursuit after the Little Rock Police Department requested assistance in tracking a stolen white Chevrolet Silverado traveling west on Interstate 630. To safely resolve the situation, officers broke a rear window to improve visibility and gave several more warnings. When those efforts still failed, they used OC spray before carefully removing the driver from the vehicle and taking her into custody. Sometimes patience and teamwork are the safest tools officers have. I got it into your hands. >> The driver was taken into custody without any further incident, bringing the pursuit to a peaceful conclusion. The case serves as another reminder that following lawful commands can prevent unnecessary risks for everyone involved. We're not talking to anybody right now. No, I He told me to turn and I turned. >> It was I I told her to turn. My grandmother's house was a complete other way and she just switched too quick. I I made her nervous and that's my fault. >> I gotcha. Okay. >> As the deputy spoke with the driver, he noticed the odor of alcohol and several signs of possible impairment. She initially agreed to perform the field sobriety tests, but moments later became uncooperative and repeatedly refused to follow instructions. Was this simple hesitation or was there something more? Do >> you have another pair of shoes on that or do you have another pair of shoes in the car that may be a little more comfortable for you or? >> No, I don't. >> Okay. >> I could take them off. >> No, I'm just asking if they're uncomfortable. Do you want to take them off? You're more than welcome to. I just know how difficult it is standing in heels for a long time. >> Yeah. No, that's true. No, it's okay. >> Okay. >> Yeah, I do. >> Can you show me your left? Can you show me your right? >> Left, right. >> Okay.
