[screaming] Every day, Walmart faces thousands of customers, including those who aren't there to shop, but still walk out with full carts of merchandise. What happens when they get caught running, pleading, or even mocking their own crimes? All of these actions are captured in today's video. When cops catch [music] a woman stealing an entire cart full from Walmart, every moment on camera leaves a lesson behind. These thieves deserve their consequences. Don't forget to like and subscribe. Starting with this case, the woman failed to maintain any sense of confidence. >> Okay. I'm not going to jail on parole. Is it cool? >> How How you going to tell me when I'm not on parole? [screaming] >> On January 7th, 2025, police responded to a report from Walmart regarding a theft in progress. Cuz otherwise going to go worse and it's going to be an additional charge. >> Call us. It's right here. I ain't going to >> I know. But the it has to. We going to talk about it. That's it. I don't I just >> Yeah, >> I do though. I I try to keep it cool. You don't have to. Although the woman acted confidently as if she had done nothing wrong, her fully covered outfit made her immediately suspicious. Combined with the tension she radiated, the police knew this encounter would not be easy. >> How many the more cooperative everybody? >> The easier to go. You understand that? Like we can get this over real quick. Go ahead. >> All right. You have some anything with your name on it? >> No, I don't. >> Okay. Well, you got to produce that. Otherwise, we going to have to >> My name is Tim. >> We going to have to go to the station. Either way, if you do not if you can't show me nothing with your name. >> I'm trying to avoid. >> I don't have my name on it. I don't have my ID. I don't know if I'm not a card. >> Hello. I don't know how you did. I lied. My nails more. That's my nail. I forgot 1996. >> I'm trying. Oh, look. I'm trying to help you out. >> I'm not I'm sorry. I'm not going to look tonight for us. >> I ain't trying to take it. But if I have to, I have to. But I'm trying to avoid this. Like legit trying to get this over with as quick as possible. >> Spell your first name. >> Adam. A M I A. >> The police patiently tried to keep the woman calm, but things gradually became tense again when they realized she was not a first time offender. >> What are you on parole for? >> I'm not on parole >> anymore. Okay. >> When is that? >> I don't know. I don't want to talk. I two years. So they saying you on for couldn't possibly say that make it up. >> I'm maxed out. I've been out a whole year. Been free a whole year. >> Well, you better talk to your parole officer. >> I don't have no parole officer. >> That's what they telling me in my ear. >> We need to double check. >> I don't need to double check. I ain't no parole. I'm not going to jail for me on parole. >> Is it cool? >> How How you going to tell me where you >> Y'all be? Cuz y'all want to do the most. >> You would be in handcuffs right now. >> Simple as that. >> All right, cool. >> We're giving her >> She already has a record with us. five different events. >> She's already trespassing trespass. >> Okay. >> And we're pressing charges on. >> Okay. >> This local city orders. >> Okay. >> Wait, what's going on? >> What? >> Wait, what's going on? >> You have a record with us, man. >> 56. >> Her wrongdoing became increasingly exposed, not just a few times years ago, as she said, but she had recently been trespassing. At that moment, her previous air of confidence completely crumbled. >> You're sitting there right now. I won't I won't I won't come back. Please. Please. >> You already told them that, but you already done it five times. So, how are you not lying? [laughter] Please, please. I won't go back. I promise. I got to go to jail. Please. Just die there. Please, y'all. Please. Please. Please. [laughter] Please. Y'all, I won't I won't come back. the same. >> I will not come back and then >> that's from >> No, that's all I I've been going to court for that. >> Oh, it says July 17. >> I I just went I just went to jail and got and got out the [ __ ] day before Christmas Eve >> because of this. Yeah, y'all. Please, for real, y'all. Come on. My boyfriend just died in there. Please, y'all. I Please, please, please, please, please, y'all. Please give me I will not come back here. I promise, sir. I will not come. PLEASE, I CANNOT GO TO JAIL. MY WOMEN WAS COMING UP. PLEASE. >> [screaming] >> The woman's screams and please did nothing to help her. Her begging came too late and the police had already decided to take action. [laughter] Please I would not come back. Please, please. >> I would love TO BELIEVE YOU. [screaming] >> PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE. COME ON. LISTEN, BUDDY. >> I love to [screaming] >> ma'am. Go ahead and stand up. You're going to be placed under arrest for shoplifting. Go ahead, MA'AM. [screaming] >> You got to do all that. >> Chill out. Chill out. Relax. Okay. LISTEN. STOP. YOU HAD TO BE [ __ ] ROUGH with me. >> I wasn't. You can't be pulling away. Stop. >> It is not that serious. >> WHAT THE [ __ ] IS MY FAVORITE? STOP. I >> stop. [snorts] Okay. You give me your wrist right here. >> Okay. All right. [snorts] All right. I'm going to double lock on you. Okay. Just when it seemed like everything had come to an end, it wasn't over. As the woman was being escorted to the patrol car, she acted out again, only making things harder for herself. Here, DON'T STEP ON THE ICE. DON'T COME. LET me touch you real quick. Chill out. [screaming] [screaming] Come on now. This is too [screaming] much. Come on. [laughter] [screaming] >> This is way too much. >> I just want to check her waist real quick. [screaming] The woman was charged with shoplifting and violating a trespass order. No matter how confident someone feels or how clever they think they are, breaking the law always catches up. Repeating past mistakes only makes the consequences harsher. Even worse, let's meet the woman who carried out the unthinkable in public. >> What's that? >> They said you peed on the floor and drank wine out of the bottle and are eating chicken and you're doing all THOSE THINGS. >> DON'T JUMP BACK IN YOUR HEAD. GROW A little >> Hold on. Let me pull your pants off. >> On February 20th, 2025, police responded to a call from Walmart about a woman causing chaos inside the store. She brazenly consumed food without paying. And as officers approached, it became clear from the police's words that the situation was even worse. >> Hello. Hello. >> Hello. >> Don't put your hands on me. >> I'm just trying to say hi to anyone. Listen, what's going on? >> Nothing. >> Okay. >> Because we're in Walmart with a caller. >> What's like what's happening today? They said you peed on the floor. >> What's that? >> They said you peed on the floor and drank wine out of the bottle and are eating chicken and they're doing all those things. Don't walk away from me. >> I'm I'm saying like I'm just shopping. >> Okay. Well, why don't we go talk about that? >> Well, we going to talk about that. >> Where? Just the front of the store. >> Can I take my all this? >> Like, have you purchased any of it yet? We can go to the cart. >> Have I purchased any of that yet? >> Yeah. Well, you're eating it, so I asked. Did you get the wine bottle drinking it? So, I asked, right? Does that not make sense to you? >> Ignoring all the officers warnings, the woman continued her defiance, and that's when backup police arrived. She was immediately detained. >> Come here. Yeah. Guys, >> sounds like one thing right. >> Is anyone here from LP? >> Uh, is anyone here from LP right now? >> No. >> Can the office open or no? >> I can't open the office. >> They're calling threeon one. You >> want me to pull up your pants or something? Why are you looking? >> I don't want you to What? >> What can I do? >> I trying to stop. So I said you eat on the floor, you drank water, you ate chicken to the right. >> Nice seat for you. Come on. >> Anything on you? >> You uh >> no help for us. >> Stop moving. >> Oh, I was >> moving. I was just so you CAN CHECK MY POCKETS. >> YEAH, so she can check your pockets. I got I haven't checked my >> I haven't taken your Sure. >> I know, [ __ ] At the loss prevention office, all the warnings and accusations she had ignored earlier were completely forgotten as she even questioned the officer's actions as if she hadn't done anything wrong. >> Hey, well, whatever. What did I do? >> What did I do? I didn't walk out the store. You You approached me in the store while I was still trying to shop. >> Does that include pissing on the floor? >> Well, charge me with that. >> What the [ __ ] >> Whatever you want. >> You want to change? >> You good? You want to check my bag for this kind of thing? >> You want to Hey, can you can you can you put it in my Can you my bag right there? >> Well, we we'll take a look through your bag here in a little bit. >> Yeah, I don't trust that stuff, bro. >> You still moving away from me. >> Nah, man. I don't trust that. >> Um, you can show one in so apparently you're eating eating some grilled chicken. >> Yeah, but I hadn't even made it to the cash register yet. >> Still can't be eating food in the store. It's still considered retail theft. >> No, whatever. >> You got anything in your bag you shouldn't have? >> No. Check it. Everything I was trying to pay for it was was in in the basket. Huh? >> I own that. >> I own that. >> I own that. All that. I don't care about you. Matter of fact, I was going to give >> What's that for? >> Because you can't stop me. I ain't did nothing wrong. I didn't even walk out the store and the cameras going to see that. >> Mhm. >> They got cameras everywhere in here. >> Yeah, I know. And I still got money on my card to pay for what I was eating. All right. So, well, book me. I'm good. >> Well, we'll discuss it here in a little bit. >> Clearly, she believed her actions were entirely justified. She just hadn't paid yet. Her attitude grew increasingly out of control each time the officers carried out their checks. >> Don't put your mother feet on me. I will if you don't listen to me. >> YOU CRACKER. DON'T PUT YOUR FEET ON ME. >> I've asked you a couple times to give a about that. >> KEEP TURNING CLOSER. >> DON'T PUT YOUR MOTHER FEET on me. >> I'll do whatever I need to do to get you to comply. >> Cracker. >> This kind of attitude are going to help. >> I don't give a about that. I ain't did nothing. >> Okay. >> I know the law. Uh man, do what you want to do. CRACKER. LIKE I SAID, DON'T PUT YOUR FEET ON ME. >> I won't as long as you listen to what I tell you. That's >> cracker. Now what? We got to wait. >> No, no. >> Enjoy each other's company. >> Yeah. Well, it won't be that and I promise you. >> Okay. You from the area, >> man? Don't matter. >> No. >> Don't matter. >> Natural Fidian. >> Don't matter. >> Move down here. >> Don't matter. >> Okay. Are you homeless or do you have a >> Don't matter. >> I have a place of residence. >> Don't matter. >> Don't matter. >> We're going to be sitting here for a minute. >> I'm just trying to have conversation with you. >> Don't matter. >> Don't matter. I'm good. I didn't [ __ ] here. She kept repeating, "Don't matter." But the one it really mattered to was her. As time went on, her demeanor shifted, mocking the officers with a crude, contemptuous attitude. >> I just don't see I didn't walk out the store. So, >> okay. >> Whatever. Well, LUCKILY [screaming] [screaming] >> MAN, don't touch me. Striker, >> MY FEET IS FACING FORWARD. MY FEET IS FACING FORWARD. >> DON'T TOUCH ME. MY FEET. LOOK AT MY FEET. >> Spitting like that. You're going to have a spit. >> Look at MY FEET THOUGH. THIS CRACKER TOLD ME TO FACE MY MY FEET IS FORWARD. You ass cracker. Nah. Crier n my just like you you said face my feet forward my feet is for IT CRACKER NOW what you going to do >> in my face I don't know if you >> I don't give a what you talking about >> I care >> man you cracker >> don't be screaming in my face >> man you cracker >> you cracker you ain't did nothing looking forward >> I ain't did nothing my feet is forward you can't TELL ME WHERE TO put my head at. Crier. >> I came when you're yelling in my face, >> man. You cracker. You [ __ ] you, >> Krier. Walmart. >> Yeah, I know. >> We don't have to be friends. I just need to do what I tell you to do. That's it. >> Yeah. >> I don't you >> I don't want you screaming in my face. >> Cracker. >> Okay. >> You You hear me? I do. >> Out of here. >> Ker out of here. Let's cry something. >> Even as the officers decided to escort her out, she showed no concern for the chaos she had caused. Continuing to revel with a twisted joy and a joker-like grin. >> Go jump back IN YOUR MAMA. GO JUMP BACK IN YOUR GROW. [laughter] >> Hold on. Let me pull your pants off. >> I didn't even walk out the store. Y'all didn't even let me. If you go in my pocket and look in that wallet, you just took out my pocket. >> I got your wallet. Yeah. What's up? >> Paid for everything that I had. Everything that I had once you got home. What's going on though? Like why why I'm being arrested though? Like I I didn't even I didn't even I If you look at my cash app card, I got money on my card to pay for everything. I didn't even walk out the store. >> Anything tucked up inside you? Anything like that, it's going to get you a whole other charge? >> Nah, I ain't nothing like that. I know the law. Okay. Oh, I thought you think we're good. We're good on there. >> Are you from here? Born here? >> Don't matter. >> The woman was charged with disorderly conduct and trespassing, holding full responsibility for her reckless and defiant behavior inside the store. This incident shows that ignoring rules and mocking authority only escalates consequences. No matter how justified one feels, defiance and disrespect lead to legal trouble and personal loss. Next, they claim to have receipts, but those receipts were their tickets to jail. >> Can I get my receipt, sir? >> Right here. >> I'm going to get my receipt. You don't have to touch me. GET OUT. Get out of the >> Stay. PUT YOUR HANDS BEHIND YOUR BACK. >> ON June 24th, 2024, police were called to target about two women who were shopping without paying. When they arrived, each woman was pushing a cart in a different direction. This is what happened next. >> Right there. >> I paid for my stuff. >> Let me see your receipt. >> I did it off my card. >> Okay, hold on. Let me see your receipt. >> Okay, let me get my receipt cuz y'all doing the most. Y'all doing the most. I don't Can I get my receipt, sir? >> I'm going to get my receipt. You don't have to touch me. >> You're going to go right there. >> Okay. I'm going to get Okay. >> Okay. >> Okay, that's fine. I'll show you my receipt. >> You got it over there. Why do you have to go to your car? >> Because I got it on my phone, sir. >> Okay, then show me on your phone. >> Okay, >> stop. >> SIR, I DON'T HAVE NOTHING left to do with it. >> Okay, that's fine. Do you have your receipt? >> No, I I just I just came out. I'm not with her. >> Okay. Do you have your receipt or No, >> I'm not with her, so I don't know what they have going on. >> Listen to me. >> Two separate things. >> I don't know what they have going on. There are nothing separate things. Okay, >> that's what I'm saying. >> That's what I'm asking you. Stop. I don't know what's going on. >> Stop and listen to me. If you didn't steal, do you have a receipt? >> Yes, I have my receipt. But I'm trying to figure out WHY HE RUNNING AFTER ME. I don't even I don't even know. >> Where is your receipt? >> It's in my purse. But I'm I don't even know them. >> Let me have your receipt. Then I'll get you out of here in 10 seconds. >> I DON'T BUT WHERE MY RECEIPT? I don't even know. >> Let me have your receipt. >> Okay. Give me a second. I give you like what? >> I'm going to give it to you, sir. >> Stop and give me the receipt. >> Can you shut out? I'm going to give it to you. Immediately, both women reacted defensively even before the police said anything. Their fear was clear, and one of them tried to avoid the situation through actions that created CHAOS AROUND HER. >> STOP. >> I'M GOING TO GIVE IT TO YOU, SON. >> GET DOWN. >> YOU HAVE TO DO THAT. >> GET DOWN. >> YOU HAVE TO DO THAT. I'M TELLING YOU. I'M GOING TO GIVE IT TO YOU. >> I'm trying to get Stop. Get out. Get out of me. >> STAY DOWN. PUT YOUR HANDS BEHIND your back. >> Get out of me. >> Put your HANDS BEHIND YOUR BACK. >> I'M TRYING TO GET IT. I'm trying TO GET YOU. >> STOP. I'M GOING TO GIVE IT TO YOU. >> STOP, >> BRO. YO, >> put your head behind your back now. You >> got your cuffs. I dropped my >> I'm going to give it to you. >> You ain't doing nothing now. >> Damn. Y'all doing the move. >> We're detaining one now. >> Bro, I'm going to give it to you. Y'all doing too much. >> Keep your hands there, >> bro. I'm going to give you the receipt. >> Yeah, there's another black female 23 for the trip. >> I'm going to give you receipt, sir. >> She was over there in a brown. >> I'm going TO GIVE YOU THE RECEIPT. >> WE GOT the one with black pants and a burgundy sweater. >> Her act of ripping off her sweater to run showed she would do anything to escape. A lucky stumble quickly put her back under control. But worse, while police were detaining her, the other woman had already fled. >> You guys want to prosecute? Absolutely. You know where the other one went? Uh, she took off when she started running. So, she >> Which way? West side. I went out. You know, she went out. No confirmation there. >> I tell you, I almost hit that one. >> I'm trying to tell the L about it. >> What's the description of the other one? >> It's a black dress. Um, >> black female [laughter] with a black dress. Not sure. Yes, we're 104. >> I'm going to give you the receipt. >> We're past the receipt at this point. You understand that, right? >> We're walking back to the front now. My car No, I left her when I saw you fighting. >> I give you a receipt, bro. >> Once she was brought to the patrol car, the woman began showing the consequences of her actions. Yet, she refused to take any responsibility for the theft itself. >> I breathe. I don't want to be closed in. We got >> [ __ ] bro. >> I was literally going to give him my receipt and he grabbed me. >> Okay. You could have gave him the receipt. >> That's what I was trying to do, but he grabbed me. >> I guess stay to that. Okay, you stick to that one. >> He tried to run. Why? >> Because he tried to grab me. What is he grabbing me for? >> That's why I'm trying to figure out what is he grabbing me for? >> Put your feet on. You got the easy run. >> Okay. [laughter] Can I I'm I don't want to feel claustrophobic cuz I do have a heart murmur. >> You're going to have to go in there. >> I know. I understand. I just want to catch my breath real quick. Breath real quick. At this point, police worked with the store's loss prevention team and realized that every action by the two suspects had been planned and executed in coordination. >> So, >> were they Were they together? >> Yeah, they always come in together. >> They're pushing two separate cards. >> Yeah. So, the second one she came out and so Mike, my trainee, spoke with the first one. >> Mhm. >> And then I saw the other one come out. I said, "Is she involved?" He goes, "Yeah." And she starts going this way. They start separating. >> So I walked up to my girl. I'm like, "Hey, stop." She goes, "I ain't with her." Starts freaking out. And I said, she's like, "I ain't steal nothing. I don't know what that is. I show me a receipt." I said, "You got a receipt. I'll get you out of here right now." I got it. It's in my purse. Okay. Give it to me. So she starts backing up. So I come around the car. I said, "Stop. Show me a receipt. I'm going to show you a receipt." And she kept backing up. I said, "Stop." So that's when I grabbed her wrist. She pulled away. I grabbed her sweater. It came off and she took off running. So I ran after her. I'm slow as hell. My trainee caught her. So we got her down, cuffed her, and that's that. >> We're chasing cuz last thing I heard these cases. >> I'll give you the case. Uh, it should be burst. I've been in contact with her for a while. >> Yeah. Case case notes. Uh we have four file awards with with this with these girls or just in general with the one that we have trusted actually specifically. So for over these here just take care of this. >> Okay. >> All right. That's good for now. Let's um I guess let's get the other numbers and then I'm going to send you a link so you can send me the video. It turned out this was not the first time these individuals were involved in crime. Back with the detained suspect, she played the victim as the medical team arrived to check her. Turn. Get back in the seat. Lean back. Look to your left. Come on. Step on out. Ow. >> I would not find your way home. You have medical conditions. >> She was charged with grand theft and resisting arrest. Trying to escape or deny wrongdoing only worsened her situation. Accountability from the start could have prevented serious consequences. Next, the theft played out like a staged movie scene driven by jealousy. >> I think that that's why she's having this thinking I'm cheating. I'm just trying to deal with it the best I can. I don't like it. >> If you came with him, you could be an accomplice in this. Okay. >> Accomplice in what? >> For stealing. >> On January 28th, 2025, police were dispatched to Walmart after receiving a report of a shopping incident involving unpaid items. The initial reason was said to be a dispute between a husband and wife. When they arrived at the scene, the husband quickly ran outside. Here is what happened next. >> Hey man, come here real quick. Question for you. So you're here with your wife. >> Is your side chick here as well? >> No, she thinks that that's what's going on. >> Okay. >> Oh, >> so that's ultimately what the issue is kind of. >> It wasn't really I mean it just happened before. >> Yeah. >> Know why I got called? But one lady that seen us kind of bickering, she did look really concerned. I knew it was going to happen. >> Well, if I'm getting personal with you, I'm just trying to figure out what why people are calling. You know, >> we just went through a big thing. We had somebody in the car that was a friend and I got arrested for possession of fentanyl. I took a damn charge for my wife driving my truck for her not to go to jail and then take the kid cuz he was going to take everybody cuz everybody seen it's not ours. Anyway, that caused a lot of stress on him and I think and that's when the cheating stuff. She started thinking I was cheating on her. >> Okay. >> Watch me go to jail in front of my daughter. You know, I'm 35 years old and haven't been arrested. >> I think that that's why she's having this thinking I'm cheating. I'm just trying to deal with the best I can. I don't like it. We've been together 8 years. I would never have cheated. But if she came here with you, why would she think that there's another female in the store that you're with? >> Yep. Sounds pretty crazy, huh? >> A little crazy. How long y'all been married? >> I mean, 5 years, been together eight messages between girls. There's no me doing odd things like tucking off around the building at Walmart, calling people. But I'm not doing anything like that to think for her to think that she's cheating, >> right? But that's what it's made up in her head. And she truly believes it. I know she I look in her eyes and I can just tell she really believes in cheat. >> As far as the groceries, you had a big >> Yeah. Well, I had a goat track like I was telling her the scooter, the little riding scooter, cup, milk, couple small things, toilet paper >> and um yeah, I don't know. I don't know if she's uh >> you're heading back in. >> She don't have the car, so I know she didn't get far. I went back inside, told her to pull up. That was my fault. >> The husband had tried to purchase several items while shopping with his wife, but her jealousy caused her to leave, preventing him from paying. Here is how she recounted all her actions driven by her jealousy. >> Sorry about that. >> Honestly, you probably never will buy anything because I canceled all the cards. cuz I found charges on them. >> He doesn't know that. So, he's probably be really pissed off. I was trying to save that. I was trying to do that whenever he went outside. I try to They knew he was going to be really mad. But >> that's where I found the charges and what started his car. [laughter] >> He doesn't know that I know that the charges are on that. >> Are you going to be okay for the night? Oh yeah. >> Oh yeah. He's not gonna he's not >> any sort of honestly if anything. >> He said you guys were arguing in the parking lot. >> Yeah, we did a little bit. That's because that's when I cuz he came out originally without the car and was complaining about asking me what was going on. That's what we were fighting about. And then >> okay >> that's when I then he came inside and the car the truck was parked in the >> lane. The lane here. Yeah. In reality, the husband acted very frantically. Earlier, he had already pushed the cart out past the security line, and now he went back into the store, which immediately raised concerns with the police. >> I don't have I don't have enough in this car to cover that. Um, and also with this situation, I guess I'm just going to come back. It's fine with me. I'm just going to come back cuz I don't have I don't have $300 on this card. I'd rather just >> Well, I'm going put I'mma put it to you this way. Okay. >> You both are acting very frantically, right? You know that there's no money on that card right now. You pull up the truck. You have a large load. What do you think I'm trying to get out of here? >> I already know. I already know. I'm not stupid. Like I told you earlier, I'm I've already picked the situation. That's exactly why I'm just going ahead and leaving. But I do have money. I work. >> I do work. You know what I mean? Like why would I come in here to steal that much money's worth of I mean, come on. That's pretty stupid. Come on. Have I Have I maybe possibly, you know, knowingly not scanned an item before? Maybe. But I, you know, never anything like that. >> Okay. >> I mean, there's a guy sitting. >> Well, I'm gonna tell you what's going to happen now. >> I'm gonna tell you what what's gonna happen right now. Okay. >> Okay. >> All right. You're going to be entertained for now until we get everything figured out. All right. >> Why is he being arrested? >> I don't know. >> So, >> what's going on? >> What's going on? detaining me. >> We're just going to detain you so we can kind of figure out what's going on. Okay. >> Several other suspicious points were also raised by the police when speaking with the woman. What they suspected most was whether this was a stage theft and if both of them were accompllices. >> The cheating thing is obviously something you guys are going to have to worry about, but unfortunately that is not a criminal aspect. >> Exactly. >> Okay. So, that's not reason why you are incuff right now. >> Okay. Why am I hangups? >> What I am looking at is because your guys's erratic behavior, the truck being pulled up right here ready to go, the large amount of items that are expensive on the cart and some items concealed inside of a cooler. >> See, I wasn't in the I wasn't even in the store. >> I Here's the thing. If you came with him, you could be an accomplice in this. Okay. >> Accomplice in what? >> Or stealing. >> Well, why would he steal it? He literally walked in. He was at the selfch checkout. >> He told you to go purchase the items, right? >> He Well, I didn't have the card. you didn't have the car. >> That's when I came in and tell him, well, when I told him that the cops were out here to go move the truck, he walked out there immediately, walked walked right away. Not one person asked me to leave. I sat there and talked to that lady right there the whole time and let her kind of know what was going on. And the reason I was like standing there like that, not one person told me to leave. >> What I don't understand is you guys come together to go shopping, but you stay in your truck and then you abandon the truck to keep an eye on him and then he comes out not knowing where you are, pulls the truck up, but then tells you to go pay. No, but you don't have a car. He never told me to go pay. I walked in to tell him the truck was in the fire lane to move because there told me that you told me to go pay. >> Well, he when inside when I told him, he told me to pay, but he didn't. He walked off of everything. >> If you don't have a car, you pay for it. >> No, but I could have had my if I had my phone, I would have been able to pay, but he didn't know that. He wasn't going to pay for it. He doesn't >> I know. But here's the thing is usually when I buy groceries, right, and I'm ready to go. >> Then we get to that step of >> I was yelling at him. I wanted Yeah. I wanted to go. That's what I was literally telling him. Let's go. I want to go home. I'm pissed. But >> so you know nothing of any of the items being concealed on the cart. You had nothing to do with any of those items. >> Along with their suspicion, the police also questioned the man which revealed that he had a prior history with similar incidents. >> Your guys's both behavior is very erratic. >> Well, >> and the circumstances are coming behind this right now. >> Well, it's probably >> that's what I'm looking at obviously. That's why you're in >> c because it looks bad. Yeah, >> it looks bad. Now you're >> It looks bad. Okay. Do you have any history of shoplifting or any any kind of theft? >> Absolutely not. >> Never stolen your life. Never got charged for a theft or anything? >> I got no when I was like 18. Wrong place, wrong time. But in Manatee County, yeah, I got arrested for uh basically >> I got sold a necklace and when I pawned the damn thing, then boom, I got hit. So then I So I got arrested. I went to jail. But it was like one of those things like, oh, I got arrested first time as an adult, moved on with my life, and they withheld. So okay, >> as far as if you guys I don't know if you guys see it or not. I don't think you do. I haven't looked at it. >> I don't know. But I got to see >> I'm going off of what you guys are telling me right now. I'm not basing it off your history. >> I got you, but I'm just saying. But I got But I also have a security clearance in the space center, so I don't think I don't know. But I told them about it, too. And when I got in trouble then and then 35. Yeah, 35 when I got arrested for the fentanyl. >> Other than that, no, I have no >> You're not a user or anything like that right now? >> I have 10 years ago. >> Fentanyl? >> No, I don't think it was around 10 years ago. I'm not really a thief, dude. You know, um >> the couple faced a felony retail theft charge for attempting to take over $1,000 worth of items. However, the case was later suspended when the store chose not to pursue criminal charges. Jealousy and poor communication can escalate a normal situation into serious legal trouble, highlighting the importance of staying calm and handling responsibilities clearly. Worse yet, the officers could hardly trust a single word that came out of this next woman. >> This was a complete accident. I do not I didn't purpose to not scan things. >> Sure. >> We would we had the money to pay for it. >> Oh, that's that's not me. On January 4th, 2025, police were dispatched to Walmart after receiving a report of a woman who filled a shopping cart, but deliberately skipped scanning items at checkout. When officers arrived, she was already in the loss prevention office and immediately began defending herself. >> Hey, this was a complete accident. I do not I didn't purpose to not scan things. >> Sure. >> We would we had the money to pay for it. >> Oh, that's that's not me. I just do the report and then you can tell the judge that >> I will >> that hey I didn't do it on purpose yada yada yada >> to pay for it right now. >> Sure. But everybody is everybody does that. >> Well no I mean I wouldn't have said that there were three cars going after car. >> Sure. So what what's your name here? >> Pam what's what's that? >> Okay. >> Okay. Uh date of birth is because this was a complete accident. >> McGomery 125 2729. >> Am I going to jail? >> Uh, we'll go to the PD >> 125. >> That was a complete accident. >> Smith. >> Say Pamela. >> Yes. >> The so-called Pamela claimed it was an accident. Yet, shockingly, she admitted she had worked in retail and still failed to recognize the wrongdoing in her own actions. [clears throat] >> Smith, >> and I would be throwing a fit about me even being accused if I purposely done it. You >> sure? >> We've heard it all. >> Oh, I'm sure. I'm sure you have. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> I used to work in retail, too. >> Oh, yeah. So, like >> retail retail sucks. >> This little white thing right here, company. This is Walmart policy. So once you pass that, you're past the final point of sale, >> right? >> And uh once you pass there, it's the point of no return. >> Okay. Well, I didn't know that. And if I had known that there was anything that got scanned, I would like I told him >> to Walmart Champagne. I bought some things and I bought it like a stereo thing for my son and it didn't receive turn. I was looking over it and it didn't scan the stereo. It didn't scaled it, but it didn't come up what it was supposed to be. I need credit for, you know, uh, warranty. >> Sure. >> So, I mean, it was cheaper than what I was supposed to be paying, but that's what caught my eye. I would have went and had that fixed if I was a thief, you know. >> Sure. >> Yep. >> I would have two. >> Does he have any Does he have any close about the price? >> I'm not sure. All right. >> All right. Is there anything on you I need to know about? Is there any more merchandise or anything? >> No. No. >> All right. >> Right after handcuffing the woman, the officers conducted a search of her body and found several other highly suspicious items. Yet, she still managed to come up with excuses for each one. Trying to diffuse their suspicion. Now, is there anything that's going to poke me, stick me, or cut me? >> I don't think so. >> You don't think so? Cuz it needs to be like, >> I know you won't. >> Cuz if I get stuck, I'm not going to be very happy. >> My broken neck goes in there. Are there any needles? No, knives. >> Oh, hell no. My pockets go all the way around. >> I don't want to get poked. Oh, >> that's just a broken neck. Please drop. >> Oh, my torch. Give that to him cuz >> torch. Okay. >> Here. Let's step back here. >> All right. Let's drop that back in there. That's my sense. It's broken. >> Okay. >> I don't know. >> Is this you guys's >> No, he got it here. >> Yeah. Yeah, >> he got it here. Is it? I've had that. That's what he had on there. Holding it. He said holding something on. Oh, the piece. But hold on. >> I know. But like today, >> it still has the little tag. >> Yeah, it's on there. He had >> there secured to the >> No, let me in my jacket somewhere. There should be a silver um that goes all the way around. A silver um get off my hand >> here. Here. >> A silver uh St. Christopher uh St. Christopher that he put on there and it was broke out. You're not I don't know. Her excuse twisted in circles and her awkward mouth gestures made every word feel forced. When it came to the tag on the bracelet, she even pinned the blame on some so-called friend. >> Well, it's from today. We have selection on that from earlier. >> So, why did you have the guy that you're with bring that jacket back in? >> Because he told me that it wasn't paid for and I thought it was her daughter's. >> That's because there's no tag on it. But you didn't even attempt to scan it because >> No, I just went to No. Yeah, I thought it was her daughter. >> I watched you selects earlier. >> Yeah. So, confirm that. >> So, that one is is >> Where did the rest of the stuff from go that you had >> on the shelf and wherever the spray foam stuff is? >> Oh, you just ditched it? >> Yeah. >> Is there anything? >> No. >> No, >> I don't have No, nothing's worth it. >> Yeah, I I see that. Yeah. All right. Yeah, I don't Nothing's going to fit in those shoes either. >> Well, that wasn't in the car. That the card was complete accident. It really was. >> There's two transactions on the way in. First one with the other person you were with and then >> Yeah, I got that. >> There was also some car named that scanned. >> You got two of them. First thing, very first thing in the transaction, you scanned one and you bagged both. I still >> Okay. Well, I thought [clears throat] the other one. >> I sand them both. >> You did? >> Yeah. I put the one down and I almost put my finger through the plastic. >> Yeah, it'll it'll be on. It'll be on. >> Okay. Well, I the the stand was >> How much do you think? Over felony or Okay. The situation turned into a complete mess filled with shaky, indecisive statements. With the camera footage laying out a textbook shoplifting case, the officers quickly reached their final decision for the woman. So, you won't be allowed on any Walmarts in the United States and Hawaii. I think Hawaii. >> Uh, it's all in North America. >> Wait. I can go to any town that has a Walmart. >> All All in North America. >> Okay. Where did he go? >> He walked down that door. I haven't seen it since your daughter. >> That I just thought was her daughter cuz her daughter has a lot of different daughters. >> So everything they paid for, you going to give it to him? >> He wants to take it if he's still here. >> Yeah. >> Oh, probably. >> Yeah, we'll grab your purse. >> No, he just said it was him. Where they at? >> Mike, wasn't there a dude stand here when you got here? >> No. Oh, >> can you call him? We will we'll grab grab your purse. >> No, just leave it there. My purse is fine. >> It's interesting. You're awfully worried about the purse. >> I'm not. It's got his watches in it. >> Yeah, >> that he had me >> stole the property. >> Yeah, that' be my guess. >> Yeah. >> In the end, she was charged with retail theft. When you start piling up excuses instead of owning your actions, you only make yourself look less credible. Clear honesty would have cost her far less than the tangled lies she chose. Next, meet those who learned to steal for the first time. >> I didn't. I put it back. >> Why are you running from us? >> Cuz I was paranoid cuz I knew that they were like, "Follow me." So, I didn't take anything. >> My baby's father's sister just passed by and I >> On February 24th, 2024, police were called to Home Depot regarding two shoplifting suspects who had fled. By the time officers arrived, one had escaped, leaving all clues reliant on the store employees statements. >> I'm wearing all black. Black here about shoulder length. Nvember 11 purse. >> One half of this took off on foot. White female approximately 5'8, wearing all black, black hair, short with a tan purse. for everybody. I just thought she goes by Alicia. >> Hello. >> Hi. >> I didn't take anything. I didn't. I put it back. >> Why are you running from us? >> Cuz I was paranoid. Cuz I knew that they were like follow me. So, I didn't take anything. >> I swear I didn't. >> All right. >> I put it back. I didn't leave the store with nothing. Okay. All right. Take a seat on the curb for me. Okay. >> By the end of her panic, she returned to confess to the police. At this point, both suspects were being interviewed separately by officers in different locations. >> I didn't. I was going to, but I didn't. >> What's your uh first name? >> Micah. And after central I can call my baby's father. >> Oh, yeah. We can see about that >> cuz he has to come get the car. Whose car is it? >> It's his dad's. Well, it's my car, but they tagged and insured it for me. Okay. >> All right. You're not free to leave right now, so I'm going to read you your rights. Okay. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say may be used as evidence against you in a criminal prosecution. >> I'll have to go get a picture of the other chick with you. >> Oh my god. >> The car. I don't even know where I'm at. You're going to have to go get the court. >> If at any time hereafter you wish to stop talking or have an attorney present, all question will be stopped at your request. Do you understand? >> You still want to talk to us? >> I mean, I just know I didn't take anything. So, >> okay. So, then why were you running? >> Because they were following me through the store, so I knew that they thought I sold something, so I left. >> Well, I I mean, I get that, but like to then run across 44 with >> cuz I just was scared. Traffic going by at 55 mph >> doesn't make too much sense. >> It does cuz I was scared. I didn't want to get in trouble. >> Did you see me pull you? >> One of them was panicked, the other fearful. Both were preoccupied with their personal concerns during the incident, showing no acknowledgement of their own wrongdoing. >> Can I say bye to my daughter? >> Is your daughter in the car? >> No. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. I would never do that. My my baby's father's gonna have to come get the car if he gets here before we leave. Can I tell my daughter by? >> Yeah, she's got 49. >> Here's the You have a warrant. >> I know. >> Um I will say this though, the car and stuff, if there's dope in that car, that's going to be a real bad issue for your boyfriend, whoever's getting the car and your dog to be leaving that car. I don't. The only thing there should be in there is meat. Well, and it's not even mine. Like >> just some needles. >> Yes. >> So, the plan was to go out and take something. >> Yesterday, me and my boyfriend broke up and he destroyed my ebike and I was trying to, you know, get some money together to get me a new bike. So, they started following me in the store. I seen them. So, I couldn't take anything cuz I didn't want to get in trouble. >> Did somebody else sell the other female? >> Yep. >> Across the street. >> You need to else go. >> We'll have to start working on video and stuff for you. So, >> yeah. No, if you if one of you wants to go over there, we're good with her for now. So, >> all right. >> In reality, the woman wearing the wig had stolen items in her bag, but during her escape, she discarded it. The police confronted her about this action. Do >> you have a purse with you or anything? left it. >> Where at? >> In the store. >> You left your purse in the store? >> Like right outside? Yeah. >> Um >> where at? >> Um like in the lawn department. >> Where at in there? >> The flowers and stuff. >> Okay. >> Why would you leave your purse? >> Because I didn't want to steal anything. >> Was there merchandise in your purse? >> There was >> And that's why you left it? >> Okay. I didn't want to take it. >> Okay. There's merchandise in your purse and that's why you left your purse. >> I want to take it, but then I was like, "No, better not. I don't want to get in trouble." So, I left. >> Nothing. >> Where did you leave it at? Out there. >> I don't know. Just I was nervous. I was leaving the store. >> Well, I'm trying to help you out. If we can find like where it is and >> in the store, >> then I can What the purse look like? >> Um, brown. >> Brown. Based on the questioning, the officers near the store searched for the discarded bag and as they suspected, found the stolen items inside, shattering all her denials. There's >> probably nothing in it. She probably dumped it in the car. >> We'll find out. >> Yeah. >> I mean, is this is this the stuff that she stole? >> Yeah. Yeah, the black wire. Sorry. So, it's underneath it. >> Very cool. Very cool. So, she laid it down picture and then you get a picture. [laughter] >> Thanks, bro. She's saying that she never walked out the door with it. >> Yeah. >> She said I left it in the garden section. I guess she she kind of left it in a garden, but >> put your hands up here. Anything you supposed to just take the hoodie off, please. Where's your car at? I can't pair gloves. >> I blocked her in. What do you I'll check it for you. I got gloves on. >> Yeah, I think it's just the copper fittings. Yeah, I found it first. So, you know, I'm going to give you the bag back to them so they can follow one. One picture. Right. >> I'll take the purse back and the other dog. >> Cool. Thank you. >> At this point, both were brought together and even then there was no sign of remorse. They showed no concern for the wrongdoing they had committed. >> I babysit Jafari. >> I think Christiey's going to be with them cuz they had to bring two people. >> We'll work it out. You guys are about to be sitting next to each other anyways. So, go ahead and take a seat. >> Can I make a phone call? >> Not quite yet. Jonathan. >> Um, ma'am. >> Ma'am, >> my baby's father's sister just passed by and I >> Okay, there's nothing I can do about that. Honey, >> I was just trying to let you know that they're here. >> Okay, I'll let them know. >> Put this in here. >> Oh, I can't. Thank you. >> Yeah, of course. >> But they were just want to trespass you. >> They were both charged with pet theft. Even when caught, the suspects prioritize their own concerns over facing their actions, showing that avoiding responsibility only worsens the consequences. What do you think about cases like this? I'm more worried about people. Are they out? I don't know. >> Do it. I'm sorry. I really wasn't thinking. I won't take my meds today and I'm impulsive. >> Okay. Oh no. Where's the lighter at? >> On December 26th, 2023, police received an alarm about a massive fire at a Walmart in Wisconsin. The moment they arrived, officers rushed inside to assess the situation and check if anyone was still trapped. A preliminary cause had already been identified. >> Come on, girl. We got smoke. >> Let's just go. I'm not worried about people. Are they out? >> I don't know. dropping the sprinklers here. Philanth >> Oh, Jesus outside. You're >> all right. >> We're just sleeping. Make sure everybody >> is everybody out. >> I think everybody Yeah. Okay, you get out. >> Just get out. >> Yes, sir. >> Just let it go. >> Yeah. I'll grab this section. >> I'm going to go down and I'll go that way. >> Yeah. >> All right. Have the slightest clue what started it. We'll probably want to pull footage and make sure everyone some kids are doing something stupid in there, I guess. >> Yeah, we definitely will. We know like where it's like where it like busted the most was like where where we have artificial floral is really combustible. >> Yeah. My fear is that some some kids did something stupid and you know kind of worst case. >> Yeah. I mean impossible right >> after confirming the situation with store management and reviewing the evidence. Police were certain that a 19-year-old girl was behind it all. She had set fire to a fake tree, then calmly walked away. That very same day, officer showed up at her home and the moment she appeared, she knew something was terribly wrong. >> Hi. >> Hi. >> Can you come down and chat with us for a second? >> Yeah. >> You want to have a seat? I'm Detective Braid. This is Sergeant Lotus. Were you Were you at Walmart today? >> Mhm. >> Okay. What did you go to Walmart for? >> Oatmeal and mayo. >> Oatmeal and mayo. Okay. Did you go with anybody? No. You seem a little nervous. What's going on? >> Because it scared me genuinely. And >> she did come in a panic. >> What? What scared you? >> The fire. >> Okay. Where were you at when you saw it? >> I was walking. I was ready to go check out and I was in the lady's bra section and then someone was saying, "Oh, there's a fire." And then I saw it. It started breaching the ceiling and then I said, "Everyone move away. Fire, fire, fire." I have a video if you want to see. Okay. >> Well, Walmart has a lot of video cameras that >> a lot of them that pretty much cover the entire store. >> But some people >> Okay. So, did you get your oatmeal and mail? >> So, >> I got them from Hansen. >> So, why were you over in the bras if you went there to get oatmeal and mayo? >> Because when I was going to check out and >> did you have oatmeal and mayo in your hands? >> And then I set it down. right where the refrigerator was in a selfch checkckout aisle. >> The girl showed clear hesitation and nervousness when answering the officer's questions. She denied her actions, even presenting the video she filmed as proof of innocence. >> And then I was going to walk away. And then I went in the fabric section to the socks and the bras. And then that's when someone said, "Oh my god, look. There's a fire." And that's when I turned around and I made the stupid decision to just stay and videotape it instead of leaving. And I watched it over multiple times. And it's pretty clear to me that it was in that section. Okay. >> Did you see anybody else in the section where fabrics were and stuff like that? >> No. >> Nobody else was in there. There was an old lady, I think, with her family and they were near it. And then this other person that I was standing near was saying, "Everyone move from the area." And then I started shouting that, too. And you can see it in the video. >> Do you have the video? >> Mhm. [clears throat] >> You still have it? >> Mhm. >> Can I come with you? >> Sure. >> So, she's on camera walking out of the aisle like moments before the fire starts. >> And nobody else is in the aisle. >> Not that we can see. And nobody exits the aisle from either side. And her demeanor coming in and leaving are very different. >> What the >> Everyone move from the area. >> That's me shouting that >> everyone move from the area. >> There was nobody else in the aisle with the fabrics and stuff when you were down there except for an old lady >> and her family I would presume. And then everyone that's when everyone started walking out the door. >> But with what the investigation had uncovered, nothing could slip past the police. [music] >> Okay, there's lots of footage. You're clearly in a panic right now. So, what did you start? >> This the the state crime inspectors are coming to check the fire and they're going to be able to tell us exactly how it happened. Like, not like it maybe happened this way or it maybe happened that way. >> What did you say? >> My lighter. What? Where's the lighter at now? >> It's in >> Where's the lighter at now, >> Emma? Where's the lighter at? >> It's in the kitchen where >> I don't want you to touch it. I want you to tell me where it's at. >> What's going to happen to me? Please tell me. >> Tell me where the lighter is. >> I just I Emma, this is a felony. That's That's the >> short stick of it. >> I didn't mean to do it. I'm sorry. I really wasn't thinking. There's the garbage. >> To the refrigerator first. >> Okay. I'm going to walk you over there and I want you to show me where it's at. Okay. I don't want you to touch it. >> Okay. So, let's go grab it. Don't touch it. Just show me where it's at. Which one is it? >> Green. >> The green one. >> Is she going to get arrested for this? I'm going to go to jail. Please be honest with me. >> Hi, come back over here. We're not done yet. So, what what did you start? >> H >> what what did you start on fire? >> I just >> what did you like? >> I lit one of the leaves of the fake plants and I just I really didn't mean to. >> What do you mean? Explain that to me. Help me understand. >> Because I wasn't thinking about anything that could have happened at the end. I didn't even think about that. I was and I feel really guilty. So under the officer's persistence, the girl admitted her actions. Surely she had to learn a lesson after this incident. >> We know when the bond is too much for love. >> Holy I could have been that you please. >> I love you. I'm sorry. I don't mean to be this way. I really hate myself for this. >> Remember it's just stuff. Okay. [snorts] >> Breathe. I really wasn't thinking when I did it. I swear. Benny, I love you, but you need to breathe. Okay. Breathe. It's going to be okay. I hope. >> I mean, after all this, I mean, okay, I'm ready. >> This is a lesson learned. >> Yes, it is. >> Oh, Jesus. God. >> Rick, you want to snap a couple pictures of the car before you go? >> Oh, Jesus. Oh, God. >> And just breathe, okay? Like your mom said, >> in the end, she was officially charged with arson and reckless endangerment. Accused of causing millions of dollars in damage and putting countless lives at risk. One careless spark can burn down not just a store, but your entire future. Next, the woman believed that her actions were entirely justified. >> So, I did smack her. I broke my phone with it, but I I I'm not going to lie to you. I did. On July 30th, 2024, police responded to a report from a hair salon about a stylist causing a disturbance. The suspect had even acted violently toward staff. Upon arrival, both the suspect and the salon owner recounted the chaos they had experienced. >> I own the salon. >> Okay. >> Okay. Talk to you over here. >> I have gave you my ID. >> Yeah. What's going on? >> I'm the one that's in a situation with the hair stylist. >> Okay. What's going on? >> So, I paid her 225 fry. I know y'all can't give me no money back, but I paid her $225 on Friday. I come from Miami. I drove up here today cuz we reschedled. I was supposed to come yesterday. I rescheduled with her. She said come today at 4:00. I've been here since 4:00. As I'm driving up here, she's like, "Um, can we reschedu till 5:30?" But I'm like, "Hey, I'm already on the way." She's like, "Okay, well, I'll be done around 5:30." So, I said, "Okay, that's fine. I'll wait." And she's been sitting here for 3 hours. The issue escalated when the hair wasn't the right color. So, come to find out, the hair that I purchased, it wasn't dyed to my actual hair color. It's black. So, I'm looking at her like, "Hey, like I have to drive an hour back to Miami. Like, clearly this is not going to happen today." You know what I'm saying? So, I was like, "Can I just please get my refund so I can go about my day and I got to figure out what I got to do cuz I have work to go to later on." She basically told me, "No, I'm not getting a refund because I bought two." I sure did because she ran up to me. So, I was defending myself. I'm not a liar. She ran up to me, tried to grab me, and I punched her in her. Don't run up to me. I don't even know what you have in your hand. So, I did smack her. I broke my phone with it, but I I I'm not gonna lie to you. I did. >> At that time, police also approached the stylist who had worked on her hair, gathering information from both sides simultaneously, revealing that the story was unfolding in two very different directions. >> Um, she booked a service. She has to pay half of the money for her service. >> Are you the employee, the Are you the >> I was drug her hair? Yes. Now she calling y'all talking about I do drugs and off I'm off pills or some No, I do absolutely none of that. I'm a military brat. Like come on, be for real and a mother. She mad. She's right. So that's basically what happened. They were all here. They all witnessed it. >> Do you see my face? >> Hey, can you keep telling me the story, please? >> I said, um, do you want to come back tomorrow? I'm going to re purchase the bundles for you and I'm going to dye it. I'm not going to have an assistant dye. I'm going to dye the hair properly. She starts to get all aggressive and screaming and all this extra stuff when I was just trying to solve her problem. I can't offer her a refund on something she purchased already. You can go ask me. She came up to me, tried to grab me and I hit her in her [ __ ] cuz she went inside her suite, came out and tried to approach me like, "Why are you I don't even know what you have in your hand. There's scissors in there. There's all kinds of It's my first time meeting you. I don't know who who you are." So imagine somebody going somewhere, coming back, and coming up to you. you're going to feel threatened, especially if you're already arguing with somebody. So, I defended myself. I hit her one time, she backed up and left me alone. I said, "Call the cops." >> All right. >> She hit She took my bag and I tried to reach for my passport and she punched me in my face and I have all of it on surveillance. >> Let's go look at that. >> This way. Many of the suspect woman's actions made it clear she was in the wrong at that moment, including punching the employee in the face, rifling through her purse, and even tearing up her ID. >> Uh, excuse me, you have ID on you? >> She ripped it up. >> She ripped it up? >> Yep. >> Okay. You have any other form of identification? >> No, I have my credit card. >> That's fine. Um, let me grab your >> You can have a seat. There's no picture on the credit card. >> Just give him your name. That's all. So, why'd you come all the way from Miami to >> Because mutual friends >> recommended her? >> Yes. And it was crazy because when I sat here and I'm sitting here for like 2 hours, literally sitting here, I'm like, "Hey, when are you done? X Y and Z." Like literally a text messages. She's like, "Oh, the girl changed the hair." The girl that walks out is my friend. And I was like, "Um, I was like, "Oh, you lucky you're my friend." Cuz what? And she drove from Miami. So, as I'm messing her, she was like, "Girl, the hair I have in my head, it's already falling. I don't like it." She's like, "The hair is basically like store package hair." And she already told me that I'm thinking like, "You're >> getting extensions sewn in." >> I'm getting extensions sewn into my head. So, she was telling me already like her hair is trash. >> You have like like natural straight hair, too. >> Yes. Well, currently she blow dried it out. So, as she's telling me this, she was like basically saying, "What is black?" >> It's like a cap >> so our hair doesn't get ruined. >> Police were also shown surveillance footage capturing the entire incident, which revealed that the sequence began when she deliberately rifled through the employees purse. And when confronted, she immediately attacked instead of defending herself. >> Yeah. >> So, did you see it? >> Did you see it? >> Yeah, it happens right here. >> So, that and then >> after like right here happens again. >> There's nothing wrong with her eye. >> I'm just for me to turn it out. >> Right. >> So, turn back around >> right here. That's it. >> Hold on. That happens right here. >> Oh, yeah. >> That's my color. Okay. So, so look. You see this color? >> So, I don't know. Can you like save the clips of the videos and then send it to me or how does this >> No, I think you have to screen record it. >> I was on live recording her when she walked up to me. >> Literally, I was like this. Walk up to me. I got scared. I'm like, girl, she you just left the suite. What are you walking up to me with? I don't know. You know, these hair stylists are crazy. All right, still screen recording. >> Outside, the woman remained completely unfazed upon learning she was being taken in. Even managing to maintain her image, trying to appear righteous in front of her friends. >> I look I need like a Thug's Life like glasses. Y'all know the meme, the thug's life with the drop the Dre beat. >> I'm very familiar with that. >> Yes, that's what I look like. I just need glasses cuz this is insane. So, so should I take this out and just do >> I don't know, friend. I don't want to be stressed. No, I'm >> okay. Can you tell my mom? >> No. Okay. I never been arrested. Like, this is so crazy. >> My real hair looks like this. A natural little bob. >> You know, this looks like I just >> Yeah. >> She's here. She's getting arrested. She's all her stuff. >> Oh, she um Hey, you want my number? Do you know? >> Yeah. I need your number. Just sit her in there for now while we're still talking so we can tell sir what we have. >> The woman was charged with assault and robbery related offenses. The lesson is clear. Staying calm and resolving conflicts peacefully prevents legal trouble and protects your reputation. In the next case, you'll be shocked by how much money an employee stole from her own boss. I have $8,000. I have this in my mouth. I'm like, it hurts me a lot. On September 14th, 2022, police received a report from Plato Closet about an employee who had stolen over $115,000 from the cash register. Officers arrived immediately, and it seemed from the manager statement that she still had no idea she had been caught. >> Um, have you said anything to her? No, absolutely not. >> No, sir. >> Okay. Um, now the video surveillance. Um, so I noticed there's the 14th of this morning. >> Yep. >> And if I got that correct, you can't pull up any records or print out. Are you able to print out anything from the registers? >> From maybe yesterday, but not today. >> Okay. So, nothing from today. So now like I know some registers like you can't do a finalized report up front but you might be able to print like a >> Yeah, I can probably I can probably call Laura and get it done and she might be able to do it and send it over to me. >> Gotcha. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Now I know your cameras are the 14th and 12th. What happened to the 13th? >> There was two days there. Were you able to get a third day? >> Is today the 14th or the 13th? >> Today's the 14th. >> It It was the 13th and 14th she did not on the 12th. Did I put the 12th? >> We're just asking. I thought Yeah, you wrote 12 on the envelope. So, all right. So, the date is wrong on the envelope. So, it's today >> and yesterday. Yeah. >> Okay. And did you go back to look at anything on the >> on today's? >> Was she working on the 12th? >> On the 12th? Um, >> no, there wasn't there wasn't any discretions on the on that. >> Okay. >> Yeah, there's no discretions on that. As far as if you look at those sheets that I gave you, I think it wasn't just the 13th and the 14th. I think the 12th is clear. >> Okay. According to the investigation report, she had created numerous fraudulent transactions in the system with total losses exceeding $220,000. At this point, police approached the woman while she still thought she was just working her usual shift. >> How are you? Good. >> Deputy Ly, mind if I talk to you for a few minutes? We go in the back? >> Sure. >> All right. I'll let you lead the way to the office. Go >> ahead. You >> uh Oh, dang. I don't have >> Oh, you That's all right. You just step up front. >> Yeah. >> I wanted to talk to you cuz I have video surveillance. >> Okay. About the past couple days while you've been working doing these buys. >> Yeah. >> Okay. And you take these buys. I see you on camera taking cash putting in your pants. Do >> you want to tell me a little bit about that? >> Uh yeah. Um >> and let's be honest with you, like we're we're a part right now to just fix it. So just being honest and helping us do the right thing and figure it out is the best way to Does that make sense? We've already been looking at this all morning. So >> we're not here to we're not here to get you to tell us everything. We know a lot already. So that's why we're just asking for you to be honest, right? So um that's important. >> Yeah. >> Upon hearing the allegations, she even appeared calmer than her manager. Though in reality, she was anxious and trying to act composed. [music] Her halting and hesitant words gave away her true fear. >> I just been having some stuff that I don't want. And uh well, majority of it is yeah, I shouldn't be taking money from him. Um for two times I have done that. Um the other times um >> now have you brought where is this stuff that you brought in? >> Um it's already like out on the floor. But it's just been like two purses and a pair of shoes. But anything else I >> He said honesty has been a big year >> cuz I've watched the video surveillance. It is you're not bring you're not bringing anything in the store. you're not the LA the last like probably like I want to say two weeks ago I have been I I brought in two purses and a pair of shoes but um for the rest of the part the rest of the times I haven't. >> So you would say only twice is that am I correct only twice you brought in actual merchandise swapped it out? >> Yes. But the other the rest of the times you have done these transactions, you just scammed the register. >> Yeah. >> To think that there was a buy done. >> Yes. >> More than 200 times. >> More than 200. >> Yeah. >> I wouldn't say that. >> Less than 200. >> I I don't even think it's 200 times, but I'm pretty sure >> 100 times. How about How about this? It seemed this woman underestimated the scale of her own scam as she had no idea of the total value she took or simply took items without paying attention to their price. >> How much money do you think you take? >> About I want to say a,000. >> You want me a,000? >> Yeah, >> cuz I have all the documentation. I have paperwork dating back until January and I see all the and it's totaling way more than $1,000. You're doing a couple hundred. You're doing hundred something dollars a day. >> How much it take today? >> It's like 150 I think. >> Is that typically what you drink in a day? >> Yeah, I would say. >> Is it always over 100%? >> Yeah. And do you say that you've done it at least 20 times? So if it's over 100 and you've done it maybe 20 times, that's 2,000 right there. And that's a rough estimate, right? See what I mean? How that adds up? >> So where is this money? >> Um I have it. >> You're saving it. You have it. >> Yeah. >> You have all the money. I I I don't know how much it would be. >> If I were to say $16,000, >> would that be about what it is? >> Yeah. >> Do you think you have all that $16,000? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> I know this makes me look like a stealer. Like I'm stealing money. Like that's like the most thing you could probably ever steal from somebody. probably makes me look bad. It makes me look that I steal things, but I don't. >> So, she was aware of the actual value she took, but tried to downplay it. Her actions stemmed from personal hardships, yet they led to belated regret. >> I feel really bad for doing this. >> Where's your purse right now? >> In the back. >> Well, okay. So, we can go get that. >> We'll all go together. I I just feel really >> Are you willing to >> take that money out of your purse to give us all that makes sense? >> Yeah. And I'm willing to give back the money that I stole from you. It's >> good. >> It's just I feel really You're really bad. >> I understand. You made a mistake. >> It It's It's a mistake. >> No, it is. It's It's a bad decision and you still made it though. And I understand why you feel bad. like and it's hard because I've worked with him for so long and I don't want to stab him. And then another thing, I've been having like dental issues. I have $8,000. I have an assist in my mouth. Like it hurts me a lot and I need that money. Like sometimes the cysts are not good. Like I don't know what they do to me, but they make me tired. sometimes really dizzy like my mouth is closed. You know, >> listen, I listen. I hear it. >> I need that money. You know, >> we we understand why people do things >> to give it all, >> you know, but you know, we learn from our mistakes. We got to make sure we adjust from our mistakes. >> You know, you're 22 years old. Did I get that right? 21. >> 21. >> 21. I'm going to be 22. >> Yes. >> In fact, [music] unaware that her actions had been discovered, she continued her behavior even that day. Shortly after, police moved in to recover the stolen funds. >> All right, this is today's buddy. >> Love you. It was $183 is what she said was. >> So, why don't you go ahead and count that for me? >> Good lord. Holy God. Are you This is today. 4 1 2 3 4 2 3 4 3 1 2 3 >> I think some of that is my money but >> 70 374 >> and how much was stolen in the p how much did you take in the past two days talking >> to who? >> Aaron. She wants to say something to you. She wants to talk to you. >> $16,000. As you rip me off, I could be doing good instead. I'm taking out a loan to survive because you stole 16,000 from me since January. What did you want to say? >> I'm honestly just so sorry. >> The woman was charged with felony grand theft, received 5 years probation, and was ordered to pay $20,000 in restitution. Understanding that personal hardships don't justify theft, she took responsibility early and cooperated with police to minimize [music] legal consequences. What do you think about cases like this? Even bolder, these suspects turned their crimes into a twisted game of chase and hideand seek. >> I give up. I give up. >> I give up. See your hands now. Let me see your hands. >> On October 13th, 2024, police got a tip about two criminals with multiple active warrants committing theft at Target. As they arrived, the suspects were fleeing through a fire exit, sparking an intense highstakes chase. Keep running back. Hold on, guys. We're just wait for those guys to come out. >> I got it back here now. >> I got I got >> I give up. I give up. >> I GIVE UP. GET DOWN. >> I give up. Please. Good luck. I give up. I give up. I give up. >> I give up. >> I give up. >> I give up. I said >> instead of offering any excuses, his repeated cries of surrender only confirmed his own wrongdoing. And in reality, he didn't give up. He got caught. Immediately after, police began tracking down the second suspect. >> We still got one female outstanding. She still wants >> white jersey. >> Yeah, >> we got him. >> What you wearing? >> Bring a black top. Pull up shorts. Sorry, we're searching for you. All right. >> Okay. >> Thank you, ma'am. Appreciate you. >> I mean, where [clears throat] the she gone if >> despite searching every possible corner, there was no sign of her. [music] At this point, store cameras were put to good use, revealing that the woman was still somewhere inside. >> She went >> So, she went right here. >> I wonder if she's hiding at the very top. >> So, right here, this is where she comes out. >> Nasty. Okay. >> What does she look like? >> You'll see. She's wearing like a black tank top, >> sports bra. We put it like that. And then gray leggings. There she is. And then, >> and from here, we got her back here. 249. And she's going to go. If she went this way, she would have gone I would have seen her come this way. Or if she went back this way, I would have seen her come this way. >> She's hiding someone on top. Then what angle is that one? >> Which one? >> Like the this one. So if you go over there cuz I don't have my phone. >> This one's the back of this. This is where you go through the grocery department. >> We have her only going into that um that storage area where we were all at and not coming out any other way. Where the I mean, she got back inside pretty quick. You could say the woman turned it into a game of hide-and-seek. The moment she thought her hiding spot was safe and well concealed, the police discovery of it left her with nowhere to run. Hey, let me see your hands. Let me see your hands now. Let me see your hands. >> Contact with one >> over here. >> Yes. Let me see your hands. I'm trying to crawl out. >> You need to crawl out. GOING up now. >> Keep your hands off. >> I'm coming down. >> She was hiding good. Damn it. >> Give us one second. >> Look at master finder. >> Called it. >> Yeah, that was pretty good. Yeah, my radio's not working. >> Put me in shape. >> I don't know if you guys could, but we have one to change. You >> know, it's funny. >> Oh, was she like underneath? [laughter] >> Was she under or under underneath? >> Do you have anything in your bra or anything? >> No, I don't. Nothing. >> Once both were caught, the police continued their process. There was no sign of remorse from the suspects, showing just how accustomed they were to this routine. this. No. Okay. Where's your feet? >> Where did you guys come in? Bro, >> did you guys come in a vehicle? did not understand. >> Which homies were giving you the heads up? >> In the end, the male suspect was charged with shoplifting and resisting an officer. He pleaded not guilty and his case is still ongoing. The female suspect faced the same charges, but both were later dismissed by the prosecutor. Even when people think they found a clever way to escape, repeated risky choices and trying to outsmart the system can quickly trap them. Planning shortcuts or ignoring rules rarely ends well. Next, this foolish woman confessed love instead of the crime. >> She came out from like checking her getaway. >> So that's it. 609 enters. >> Oh, baby, I love you so much. >> I love you. Okay, let's take a run. >> On August 3rd, 2023, police received a call from Safeway reporting a shoplifting in progress with the suspect being a familiar face who had previously caused $800 in losses. Upon arrival, staff noted that this time she had changed. >> Yeah, she's kind of late right now. She's stealing. So, she just steal today. >> Today? [music] No. So, what's your plan? What do you do? >> Um, so I definitely want her trespass. >> Okay. Um, sorry. Um, and I have like the camera footage pulled up from yesterday, too. >> And it's a massive cart. It's $800 plus. >> Okay. >> And then on the 23rd, >> did she just walk out with it? Did she scan items? >> Yeah. No, she just walked out. >> Okay. >> Uh, yesterday with that like that one that Yeah, she just walked out with it. Okay. Um, and then on the 23rd, I called you guys cuz she she didn't steal anything that day, but she was she was going to, and I scanned it all out. It was like 7:35. She left it over there. Um, the officer who came in said, which I understand, like there's nothing really you guys can do about that. Um, but that's what I'm saying. Like, I know she's going to steal, so I absolutely want her trespass. I don't Oh, that's her. That's her downisle four. Her brief appearance from afar suggested she had spotted the police, prompting officers to immediately search for her. Hey man, let me talk to you for a second. So yesterday sounds like you walked out with quite a bit of cart of groceries. >> I did. >> Yeah. >> No, no, no. Okay. Well, right now you're going to be detected. >> Although startled by the accusation, she and even her boyfriend did not react to being handcuffed, seeming more concerned for him than for herself. >> Dude, I love you. I love you. At a minimum, you're getting trespassed from the store. Yeah, >> that's fine. That's fine. >> And then if you're on video stealing, you better not lie to me. You understand? >> You better not lie to me. >> I might be. >> You might be lying to me. [music] >> We have the female detent. You >> got warrants? >> I might. I don't know. >> You got ID on you? >> I don't. >> Babe, I love you. >> You can go. You can go. >> I love you. Everything became even clearer when she was taken to the loss prevention room. >> Either way, she's got a felony and misdemeanor warrants. >> I do. >> Yep. Organized retail theft. Oh, look at that. You're even wearing the same clothing. >> And that's like I don't know if there's anything you can do about that was the other night. And okay, that's her fatty cart. That's the one from that night. That's the one from that night. >> Okay. >> I like I said, I don't know if that's whatever, but that's yesterday. >> So, you want to pursue charges for that? She's got a whole bunch of more she's >> Yeah, >> you do. Okay. >> So, it is 82 2023. What do you do? Do you have what time she entered the store? >> Oh, entered. Uh, >> and then you're looking at potential charges from yesterday. As long as it sounds like the video lines up. Um, I don't know the exact dollar amount whether that's going to be a misdemeanor or felony. It sounds like you had a cart full of stuff. So, the cut off for the felony, 750 bucks. Sounds like what you had in that cart was pretty close. So, we'll see. Either way, it's going to be a a new charge and then you're going to get booked on your your warrants tonight. >> I'm going to get another charge though >> potentially. Yeah. For yesterday. >> She returned to the store the very next day after her previous offense, even wearing the same outfit. Police then reviewed her entire theft process on the footage. So, she came out from like checking her getaway. >> So, that's it. 609 enters. >> She's going to grab her cart. She's looking over here the entire time. >> Is her cart already full? >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, she's already shopped. So, >> yeah. >> She enters the store at some point. Grabs a cart. >> She's kind of trying to make sure that no one over here. >> The registers are on the other side. She's clearly looking around. >> I can see you're swiping. I get it. She bypasses all the registers. >> She's up >> and she walks out. >> That's going to bind and hurt. Can you at least when we go when we drive down, can we at least put them in the front? >> No, we can't. Yeah, they have to be in the back. We could we could potentially change you over to chain cuffs instead of the hinged ones. Those are >> Soon after, the reasons behind her actions came to light. Please for sympathy and even signs of regret, but none of it could change the outcome. Maybe what happened yesterday. I don't have anything. >> You're broke. Don't have anything. Where do you live? >> Um off of six six people. >> Six in Spokane. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Six of Isn't that down by the grocery alley? >> Yes. >> Somewhere on you stay in their shelter or just Is that where you stay? No, I live I live here. >> You live? Okay. And then So why are you coming out to Cheney to steal? >> I don't I at the lake. >> Which lake? >> Silver. >> Silver Lake. >> Well, I mean, you stole yesterday. You stole $800 worth of stuff. It looked like >> a pretty full cart. That's what they're guesstimating. You see the cost of anything? >> No way. $800. There's no way. >> Well, there's a good chance it is. Right now, without a without a receipt, I'm going to charge you with that third. Yeah, a misdemeanor charge. >> Yeah, it's going to be a misdemeanor cuz I can't substantiate the the full felony, but >> you're on camera walking out without paying with a cart full of stuff, >> right? >> I mean, do you refute that at all? >> What do you mean? >> Wait, are you disagreeing with that yesterday? What happened? Is that pretty much what happened? You came in, loaded up a cart, and left? >> Um, no. >> That's not what happened yesterday? >> I don't know. >> You didn't come in here and steal yesterday? >> I don't know. You don't know. >> All right. Yeah, she's right close to it. >> In the end, she was charged with shoplifting and trespassed from Safeway. Even attempts to plead for sympathy or show regret can't undo the consequences. Cooperation with authorities from the start would have prevented this outcome. What do you think about cases like this?
