Nothing was technically stolen. Like I don't know. >> But you tried to push. >> She's still in there. She told me she had already paid for it. >> I told her I said I need you to come back inside to discuss the unpaid for merchandise. Um right away she started telling me, "Oh, my friend paid for it." You know, your friend didn't pay for it. >> You got a warrant. >> But I got a warrant for it. >> I'm not fighting. I'm not fighting. >> Stop trying to get up. Stop trying to get up. Cross your leg. >> Rock on. >> I'm so glad I finally caught you. I've been friend. >> Everything you just saw was the outcome for petty thieves who thought they could get away with their actions. But to find out what they did, stay tuned for today's video. When shoplifterss think their full cart walk out went smoothly. Starting with the woman whose entire story was exposed by the store's cameras. >> Nothing was technically stolen. Like I don't know. >> But you tried to push. She's still in there. obviously just past all last points of sale. I come up behind her and I stopped her just before the other door. >> On the 28th of February 2025, police were dispatched to a Walmart parking lot after receiving a report of a woman attempting to push a full cart of unpaid merchandise out of the store, but when approached, she tried to shift the blame onto someone else. >> Hi, what's going on? >> Um, I don't know. I can't find my girlfriend. Um, she told me that she had paid for this stuff and I can't find her anywhere. She's not in the store. >> Okay. And I don't know where she went. >> Okay. So, how would she have paid for it if you had control of the cart? >> Um, she gave me the cart like I don't know 20 minutes ago, half hour ago. >> Okay. Do you have an ID on you? >> I don't. >> Really? Nothing? Huh? >> No. Nothing. I gave him the cart back. Like I don't know. Nothing was technically stolen. Like I don't know. >> But you tried to push out the >> She's still in there. She told me she had already paid for it. >> Um, how'd you get here? >> Uh, my girlfriend. >> Okay. in a vehicle or what? >> Um, what does that matter? Yeah, like >> Mhm. What's your name again? Nikki. >> Yeah. What's going on? Like, am I going for jail or something? Cuz I have to like tell my girlfriend like what's going on. >> We can figure that out. There is a way where you >> you can hang out with me, Nikki. >> Okay, you can see your pockets, >> Nikki. You keep looking around and that makes me think you're going to try to run from me. >> I'm not going to try to run from you. >> Why don't you take your hands out of your pockets for me, too? any weapons or anything on it? No. Okay, perfect. So, Nikki, what's likely to happen next is either a citation or we can hook you in for for shoplifting. >> I'm cooperative. >> But you are cooperative. Okay. >> I've been like I'm telling you the truth. Like my girlfriend said that she already paid for like how I circles right there. >> I've been walking in circles looking for >> Nikki. Does your girlfriend drive that black car, blue car there? >> Um, >> gotcha. What's your girlfriend's name then? Um, >> what's her >> She couldn't even provide basic information about her girlfriend, raising questions about whether that person actually existed while police were already uncovering details about her prior history. >> Yeah. Um, I saw her in the store. Uh, she's a person of interest before because uh, she and her was a black male on Sunday. Uh, pushed out about $350 worth of action figures. >> Okay. >> I filed a police report with uh, Bobby Eastman. he came and filed the report. Uh the car that she is driving has been involved, but two or three incidents here and then one up at Hermantown, too. >> Okay. >> Um on Sunday, she helped select all the merchandise and electronics with the blackmail. Um they separated. She went out the door first and about within 20 seconds after he followed her out with unpaid for merchandise and they both got into the same car and she was >> and then today I recognized her right away. She's wearing the hat and the eyes uh from previous. Like I said, uh she made an attempt about 2 weeks ago to get out. If it'll load here. Yeah, it's not loading. Okay. You want to bring her up to the office? We can uh bring her up to the office and go over all that if you >> Otherwise, I'll just have uh Charlie run her in and then I'll take the report from you. But today, she tried to push the card out. >> She did. Yep. I stopped her in the vestibule doing the dance back and forth. She refused to come back inside the store. I said, "Let's just talk about it." Nope. She didn't want no part of it. [snorts] and I let her get around me and out the door she went. >> Okay. >> Yeah. Um >> so she left the car behind and left. >> Investigator. >> Okay. Was she with anybody today? >> I She kept on going around in circles and circles in the store. She's trying to find a way to get out. >> Okay. What day did what what day did she take the action figures? >> Um the action figure Sunday. >> On Sunday. >> Yeah. >> That's her. >> And [music] Eastman took that report. >> Yeah. Bobby Eastman took the report. Yeah. Okay. >> And he said he entered the license plate into your uh plate system. Is that what Sundays was? >> Um Dave Dollbeck told me that uh he thought that he had our suspect ID. This is uh from the previous week she tried getting out uh automotive with uh a basket and a cart full of stuff. >> Okay. >> Based on the allegations from the Walmart employee, police had enough grounds to detain the woman. But things became even more suspicious when they discovered possible drugrelated paraphernalia on her. 100. Okay. >> Sophie's still in the store though. >> Do you have anything on you that would be contraband county jail? No. >> Nothing. Do you have pockets on the shirt? >> No. >> You don't? You have a penny? >> Uh, no. What you got? >> Some tin foil that likely has something in it. I got >> No, there's nothing in it. >> This would have been contraband and it would have went in and gained your felony in the jail. And it does have something in it. >> It doesn't have anything in it. They're empty. Okay. Is there anything shoved anywhere on you that >> No, nothing. It's paraphernalia. Like >> I know, but that's a felony in the jail. I just saved you a felony in the jail. You're welcome for that. >> Thank you. >> Is there anything? Is there anything else? Is there anything else in there? >> I don't even know what we have yet. >> There's nothing in it. I promise you there's maybe like a little bit of residue in it. There's nothing in it. >> Anything anywhere else? >> No, no, no, no. I didn't even think those were in my pocket. So, I would have said I would have walk this way. >> Am I going to get other charges now? >> I don't know yet. Is it just paraphernalia or is there something in the tin? >> I promise you there might be a little bit of residue. Nothing. >> Okay. All right. So, I got to go look at today's thing, but apparently she's possibly getting in here on Sunday taking some stuff. So, >> I'll look at this. >> So, for sure one counter retail theft. Otherwise, uh if I find something >> after that, an officer went into the loss prevention office where the staff had compelling evidence that was difficult to dispute. >> Here she is. Uh like I said, we uh obviously just passed all last points of sale. I come up behind her and I stopped her just before the other door. Identified myself as Walmart asset protection. I told her I said I needed to come back inside to discuss the unpaid for merchandise. Um right away she started telling me, "Oh, my friend paid for it. You know how your friend did not pay for it. Been watching you since I saw you get in here." >> Yeah. >> Um stood there for a bit and then she decides, "Well, I'm not staying here." And then she went around me and open the door she went. Okay. >> [snorts] >> show you after cutting through. Uh >> police eventually found the other woman the first suspect had mentioned and her reaction to what the officer revealed raised even more questions. Hi. >> Hi. >> Good afternoon. >> Yeah, >> officer Collinsburg. Police Department. >> The reason why I'm talking with you is that loss prevention is telling us that you possibly were ticket swapping inside the store. >> Yep. So, you take a tag of a cheaper item and you put it in place of the tag that's originally on the item >> and that way you get a cheaper looks like you paid and everything rings up, but you get it for a discounted price. >> Okay. So, after What? >> I wore a pair of jeans. What's in the Walmart bag there? >> What's in your Walmart bag? >> Uh, shirts >> that you just bought in there. >> Yeah, shirts and socks. Yeah. >> Jeans in there. >> [ __ ] >> What are you What are you doing in the car here? >> Who's that? >> My friend. She's inside. Well, tell me who she is cuz I might be able to tell you where she is. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> What's her name? >> Her name is >> What is it? >> Nikki. >> Yep. She's in jail. >> Oh, okay. >> Mhm. >> I was wondering why she was coming out. >> Yeah. So, >> so what's in the You have anything in the Walmart bag that you didn't pay full price for? >> No. >> Okay. So, when I talked to the loss prevention worker, The merchandise was returned to the store while more evidence showing that the items had not been paid for was presented, suggesting that the suspect's claims were not truthful. >> Yeah. >> Was it Nicole shot? The jeans on the building for sure. That took a switch. >> Um, that's right. That's right. That's right. Her Oh, this is wrong. Switched. girls. I just got some. >> Is this purse from here? >> Yeah, >> it is. Okay. Did she pay for it? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> We weren't sure if there was stuff inside of it. >> Gotcha. >> Nothing that matters, but anyway. >> Do you have an ID on her? >> Um, yeah. I'll have to get that. Joel Collins got it. Um he's she's uh she's in his squad right now. I'll get it for you. >> Um and then I'll just verbally tell her that she's trespassed, too. And it's going to be the same incident number. >> It's the same incident number. >> Yeah. I'm just going to do it all under one report. Um Sophie. Yeah. All right. So, you definitely did switch the ticket on the jeans and like a shirt. So, there's a different there's a different tag. You put a different tag on those items. No, different tag on it. >> Okay. Well, you did. Um, and so you're going to get a city oriented citation for shoplifting. Okay. >> All right. >> All right. So, can you step out of the vehicle for me real quick? So, right now, I'm going to issue this citation. I'm going to fill it out my car and give it to you. But in the meantime, just so you know, you are under arrest right now. Okay. >> Okay. >> So, we're going to put you in handcuffs while we are uh filling that ticket out. >> Okay. >> Do you have anything illegal on you that I need to know? In the end, Nikki was charged with retail theft, while Sophie was issued a city ordinance citation for shoplifting. [snorts] Denying obvious evidence rarely makes an investigation disappear. Once surveillance footage and witness statements tell a different story, changing the explanation can only make the situation harder to defend. Worse yet, this woman returned to the store she had stolen from, carrying another secret. >> I have it like in our system from 2 to 3 days ago of her selection. So, can we add that today? which is most likely a felon. >> Whatever. It's not a part of it. >> On the 4th of October 2025, police received a call from Target reporting that they had detained a woman who had committed theft there. But what was more notable was that this was not her first time that week. Let's listen to the employees statement. >> It was 2 or 3 days ago, but she has it on her today. Like she didn't select it today, but she I have it like in our system from 2 to 3 days ago of her selection. So, can we add that today? >> Yeah, you can add that. >> Okay. So you guys didn't file a report? >> I didn't file a report on that one, but this she has it today and she took it from us the other day. >> Yeah, that could be added. Okay. >> Okay. Do you have any ID on you? >> No. Let me get your name and date of birth. Brandy 81. >> Probably would. >> Anything that the jail's going to find and end up charging you with? >> I am going to jail. >> It's not definite cuz I'm not the officer in charge, but >> you guys are prosecuting. >> Yes. >> Yeah. You're going to jail. If you noticed her appearance and suspected that she might be in an unstable condition, the officer's search of her shortly afterward revealed the answer. >> What is What is this? Just tell me. >> Let me grab my phone. I'll do the pill identifier. Highly doubt it's ibuprofen. We'll also go through that first to make sure there's nothing else that's hers. >> Is it math or not? >> I picked up I don't know the little bag you picked up. >> I honestly don't know. These went in my pants. I borrow. So, she had a bag of um what? Meth >> on the right right front pocket. >> There's nothing in that. But go right ahead. >> You're the wor one of the worst liars I've ever ever met in my life. >> I'm not aing liar. I got put these pants on and got up. Don't call me a liar. I can say what I want. He still talk. I'm still a person. You want >> Don't call me a liar though. >> You are still a person, but you're a liar. That's >> But it's all right. >> You told me you didn't have anything. >> I didn't think I did. End up with something. That's a liar. You asked if I had anything you like a knife or something. I did not know about that baggie. >> My horse is Yeah. Okay. >> You know how many times I hear that? >> Well, that's fine. I don't It's the truth. >> Doesn't matter. It's going to be caught. I'm going to be fussed with it. Whatever. >> Are you on probation at all? >> No. >> The suspect did not want to admit to the officer's suspicion. As if she were completely used to it, she showed no sense of guilt whatsoever. >> Yeah. a baby monitor and >> underwear and the other two >> baby monitor underwear and then those two were from the other day that she was carrying in here. >> Yes. >> Ironically, >> what's that got to do with taking care of >> scratched off symbols on it? So that's an unidentified drug that can be sent off for testing, which is most likely a felt. >> Whatever. It's an apartment. >> Okay. All right. Um I do have to get your photo. It's for our trespass. You got it. Okay. >> Thank you. >> So, with all that said, you're not wearing underwear. If [music] they find at the jail, >> nothing on me. I know that lady. I've been to jail. >> I did not know about the bag. The the other stuff is is legal. I don't I don't care. >> Sit down. >> 14. There's going to be a ride along. >> That's what drugs do to you. >> Can I give you attitude? Been doing this way. >> Alcoholic has been way too long. It's been Trust me. Trust me. I've I've been doing this a long freaking time. >> I don't believe you can, but I'm telling you. I know it when I see it. I hate drugs. >> I hate you. >> She still refused to admit that she had a controlled substance on her. But what made things even more tense was that she began accusing the officer in return. >> Thank God for body cameras. >> Thank God for body cameras. Thank God for Hey, and keep talking. Keep talking cuz this is what the judge needs. >> Keep talking cuz this is what the judge. This is what the judge needs. >> Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. >> Keep downing me >> right here. Smile at least. >> You're smiling. >> You have teeth. >> I got I'm asking. I'm just sure. >> Is that why you won't smile? >> Oh. Oh yeah. Really? You're going to down my teeth now, [ __ ] >> Oh, >> that hurt. I got called >> Yeah. about me. >> Am I those two? I'll do a different >> drugs. >> I hate drugs. >> Do you want me to do it since you did all yours? >> And criminals, >> dude. I hurt my walkie thing. >> Chasing after her. >> Yeah. >> Oh, if it's we can add that charge. >> Yeah. Keep them. >> Is that your bike? Is that your bike out there, Randy? Ready? Is that your bike out there? >> Yeah. >> It's not yours. Is it not? The drugs aren't hers. So, the money's not yours either, right? I'm assuming the money's not yours. >> Money is not yours. The drugs aren't yours. And the bike's not yours. And that obviously wasn't yours. >> Blah blah blah. She even said, "I want my bikes the last time." >> No, it's not. >> Trying to She's trying to feed her babies and take care of her babies, but she's buying drugs. >> Spending She's spending on drugs. That's why she has to steal cuz she doesn't have the money. The money she has, she uses on drugs. >> She sounds like a mom. That's sad. >> Even as she was about to be taken away, she continued denying her other offenses, showing just how confident she was in those denials. Leave it alone. >> Yeah, but it was already hurting. >> When you're pulling away from me, it doesn't make it very easy. >> I wasn't pulling away. You didn't body cam that you have was not pulling away from you. Not >> once. Just listen to him. >> I know my I know what to do. I know not toing pull away. I know that. I I I know I did not resist you. I did not do none of that. >> Whatever. I'm done listening to your words. >> Well, whatever. >> I'm done having a conversation with you. Very unreasonable person to talk to because you just lie straight through your teeth every time you >> I talk and I lie. What are you doing? What are you doing? You're lying saying I resisted. >> Everyone here's lying. You're so pulled on me. >> I blow your eyes. >> I did not try to get away from you. >> That's resisting. >> You said it's not your bike. No, I wrote it here, but it's on my bike. >> So, you don't care what happens to it? >> Yeah, I care because I borrowed it. >> If you didn't ask that, >> you borrowed it? >> Yeah. >> I'm going that way. >> Yeah. You got to take me to the store. >> Brandy was charged with resisting arrest, petty theft, theft, and possession of a schedule 2 controlled substance. She was adjudicated guilty on all three charges and sentenced to 120 days in county jail. Denying wrongdoing does not make the evidence disappear, especially when officers and store employees have evidence to support what happened. Once the situation escalates, refusing to cooperate or blaming others, can only make the consequences worse. Next, it wasn't just one, but all three suspects who showed no shame after stealing. >> But I got a warrant for it. I'm not fighting. >> He got all your little baits and all that. Now, the money was in your sock and all that good stuff right here. All right. So >> on the 29th of December 2025, officers received a report from a shopping store about a theft that had occurred. Three suspects were reportedly being held at the checkout. And when officers approached, all of suspects tried to avoid them suspiciously. >> Y got stuff in y'all bags or anything. Y anything that belong to them? >> I got nothing to >> Are you sure? Cuz easy we just You got anything that's given to us? >> Nothing. >> Nobody. >> Yes, sir. You ain't You ain't conceal no in your pockets. No sugar. I ain't got nothing. >> I ain't got a no in my wallet. I ain't got I ain't got no purpose though. >> Okay. I got nothing. >> I'm with I'm with the old man here. I ain't stealing nothing. >> You with him? >> Yes. >> Are they? >> All three of them are together. >> We together nobody stealing nothing. >> She's the one that has >> Okay. She the one that got the stuff. Officers confirmed that the woman was the one who had taken the items. They tried to verify her identity, but the information she provided soon became suspicious. >> All right, that's it. You got your ID on you? >> I got them. No, I got a picture of my on my phone, but I don't have my phone with me. >> Okay. Can you pull up your ID for me? >> Let's get everything out there. >> I just said I don't have my phone with me. >> Who want? >> No. Can No, the other one not with me. >> Y'all all come in together. >> You got ID you back? >> No. >> You got no ID? I can give you my name though if you want my name. >> Okay. >> You ain't got no ID on you? >> No, my ID. I had lost my ID, but I had a picture up in my phone. I can give you my name though. I don't mind giving you >> You got a picture of it? >> I don't have my phone with me, but I can give you my name. >> You going to give me the right name? >> Yes. >> What's your first name? >> How do you spell it? >> K I L. >> Mhm. >> W O N A. What is it? >> You got a middle initial M. >> Okay. And it's out of >> What was that? >> You got a Georgia ID. >> Uhhuh. Georgia ID. I'm saying right here. >> Yeah, he's he's with them. Okay. >> Why you put handcuffs on me? >> Because you got a warrant. You got a warrant. You got You got a warrant. >> You got a warrant. >> I got a I got a warrant for what? You got a warrant. >> What? I got a warrant. >> This discovery by the officer left the woman confused, but she clearly knew about it. [snorts] What she did next, however, changed the entire situation. >> I'm not fighting you. I'm not fighting. >> Put your hands behind your back, >> sir. I'm not fighting you. How can I get off the car? >> Put your hands behind your back. >> Let me get off the car. Get out. >> Give me your hands. >> I'm giving it to you. You ain't got a rope past me here. talking to me for no damn reason. I need your captain badge number. >> Can I get your captain badge number, please? Excuse you. Hey, sir. Can I get your captain badge number? >> Can I pick my bag up? >> I got you. Come on. Come with me. >> My money on the floor. >> Come with me. >> Can I get my money? >> Do me a favor. Grab those dollar >> in my purse, please. You didn't have to rust house with me. Damn. Under the arm hurt. Yes, that's my money. I'm not going nowhere. You ain't got to hold me tight. Where the I'mma run you in some slippers. Come on. >> You hold me all damn tight for no reason. >> Cuz you tensed up on me. That's why >> I tried to What? >> You tensed up on me. No. >> What? I got on slippers. What the? I'm a run from slippers. >> Slit. Sit down. Sit down. >> Hurt my [ __ ] arm. >> The third suspect did not make the situation any easier to resolve. He appeared annoyed by what was happening, but that did not mean he was not involved. >> That's against the law. No. No. No. No. over here. Okay. >> No, I can't even stand, bro. >> I can't stand still, bro. I can't stand. >> I can't stand, bro. I got my can. >> Let it go. Just Just drop it, bro. Let it go, sir. I paid for all my stuff, bro. >> I paid for all my stuff. Look at Look at my stuff. This a law. I ain't did nothing, bro. I did nothing. >> All right. Come on. Back here. >> I ain't got to get nothing, bro. >> I got chill. Come on. >> We got Come on. Come on. >> I ain't even did nothing. >> I ain't even did nothing, bro. >> I ain't did nothing. I can't sit down. It's where I can't sit down, bro. I told them I disable. They don't give a >> They really don't. >> I can't understand. >> I can barely disable. >> Stop trying to get up. Stop trying to get up. Cross your legs. >> Stop trying to get up. >> They were all taken into custody, but none of them showed any shame. Even though they all knew they were going to jail. >> You had my shoulder. I need your best. >> Yes, ma'am. >> I'm run and goddamn flipflop him. Can you zip my bag up, please, so my fall out? >> Yes, ma'am. I got you. >> Go ahead and bend your knees up. I'm going to stand you up. Okay. Do you have anything on you you're not supposed to have? >> No, I don't. >> Okay. So, I don't have >> I'm Listen, I'm going to use the back of my hand to make sure you ain't got nothing. >> No problem. No problem. >> I ain't worried about that. I'm worried about my cousin cuz he disable. I don't care about >> Okay, we'll figure we going to figure it out. >> We going to figure it out. Where you at? >> Can you put me in the car? You going to jail anyway. >> Give me one second. >> I need my bag. Make sure my bag I have a bag on. It fell. >> It fell. >> It fell back. >> I got me. Put Put her Put her Put her in cuz he's going to transport them more. >> Okay. >> All right. She got Listen. Listen to me. All right. All right. All that stuff you had in that bag, all your vase and stuff, I get that to your cousin. All right. Cuz >> No, she wanted her bag. >> Are you going to listen? Let me talk. Where's he at? Where's Where's Where's your cousin at? Oh, he he w they let him walk out. >> Yeah, they let him. >> Okay. Well, I mean, he he wasn't going to jail, so >> Yeah. So, he >> want him to have my bag. >> Okay. Well, listen. We going to listen for you. He got all your little baits and all that. Now, the money that was in your sock and all that good stuff right here. All right. So, what's going to jail with you is what was it? Like three or $300 and all the cash. >> I want to give my Can you give my girl a $100 bill? I want So, she can go to jail with a 100. She can have a 100 on her book. It's my money, man. Come on, man. I don't want my girl doing that in the other hand. She got a warrant. >> In the end, the woman was charged with theft and arrested on an outstanding warrant. Being caught in a theft is only part of the problem when an outstanding warrant is also involved. Staying calm and cooperating with officers can prevent a bad situation from becoming even worse. In the next case, what stands out is the employees excitement at finally catching this man after 13 thefts. >> He has been trespassed nine times. Nine times. Um, so we're going to trespass him again. >> Actually, we can do >> this has just made my year. I'm just so happy. >> Merry Christmas. >> Thank you. >> On the 7th of December, 2024, police were dispatched to the loss prevention office after receiving a report of a man stealing there. He tried to flee when officers arrived at the scene, but this was the result of that attempt to escape. >> That's stupid on my part. searching. He's got a knock here on this side. >> That's all I've got. >> How many cards you got? >> Four boxes. >> Yeah. >> Got any needles or anything on you, dude? >> No. Hell no. >> Too cold. >> Not if you're running. the first thing right now. >> First time I ever >> Yeah. Don't do it again. >> No [ __ ] You guys are fast. >> Let me go secure my vehicle. >> Sounds good. >> All right. Turn >> this way. Knees in. And step. >> You got to go around this way. Very >> on this side. >> Yeah. Well, you got to go through that, right? Damn, I got to keep smoking. You know, we do this daily, right? Well, no, I'm never ran for you guys. Should be going over. There you go. Maybe if you can get it around make a decision in your jacket. >> Yeah, go ahead. [snorts] >> Got it. >> Yep. >> What's that? >> The man was then brought back to the loss prevention office. But surprisingly, the loss prevention employee seemed quite happy to see him. >> See right there. >> I'm so happy I caught you. You're right in front of me. >> It's a safe thing. >> Yeah, I yesterday as well. >> Did you get to the gate? >> Yes. >> Rock on. I'm so glad I finally caught you. I've been friend. >> So, apparently he's stolen like $3,733 like in the last 13 times. And he's not been caught for that, right? >> No, he's Okay, hold on. He's been trespassed nine times. Nine times. Um, so we're going to trespass him again. >> Actually, we can do the >> We can do felony theft. >> Yeah, you can actually do more than felony. You can do the organized crime now. So, which is a class X. >> Yeah, cuz look at this. It's 3,733 total. 13 events always stealing trading cards. So, I'd say yeah, it's probably or so. We'll just do that. >> Perfect. >> Y. >> Awesome. Thanks, guys. I'm so glad I >> This is how I knew this was going to happen today. So, I wore the same exact pants. >> Okay, I got to get a picture of you. >> Hey, his >> Thank you. >> As the employee counted each item, the total value continued to add up and it seemed this was the moment they had been waiting for a long time. >> His scooter's in my car. I'll just >> You guys want to know how much this is today or it doesn't really matter. >> Yeah, we do. >> Yeah, we need >> We have calculator. Okay, Carico's got you. Okay, cool. >> Just scan all the stuff up there cuz we're going to need to receive anyway. I just want to know how much it is right now while it's sitting here. Sure. >> Okay. This is 1994 plus 592 plus 7.97 plus 597 plus 7.97 Sorry. Plus 7.97 plus 592. Plus 797 plus 60. Hell yeah. >> Closer. Closer. Yeah. >> Plus 60. Plus 60. >> Plus 60. Plus 60. Now this going to be filing. >> Plus 60. Oh yeah. >> This has just made my year. I'm so happy. >> Merry Christmas. >> Thank you. Thank you. >> That made your year. >> Yes, it did. >> Cool. All right. Well, >> good job, guys. >> Yeah. >> Good job. [laughter] >> Since this was the 13th theft he had been caught for, his criminal history made it more difficult to determine how to handle the case. Uh, I'll put a scooter in Sal. >> You'll have to enter it. I would assume that scooter is probably stolen cuz it's been spray paint. >> It's not. I put paint job on it >> after the guy just stole. I would say it's probably stolen, but >> for his 15th time, >> um, there's no way you're going to be able to figure that out. So, >> okay. So, he's been charged with >> Okay. So, should I report just this event or should I report all 13? So I would do this as your main case file and then an addition at the end of your report saying that you've caught in 13 other times and the the illicit amount for the 13 totalities >> is and if you have dates and times >> okay dates times >> date time amount date time amount date time amount cuz if I do all of them it'll send like 15. So I'll just >> y just do one narrative today and then in in catching him you discovered that you have 13 active cases and they are as follows and just put date time amount and if you have an idea what was stolen >> and then we'll send all the state attorney's office >> always and then they may request like extra ship >> merchandises and stuff. Do I I'll say do I need like a list of the stole in the past? >> You have that like every individual item. >> And [snorts] after all that, the suspect received yet another trespass notice that he had probably heard many times before. But this time, the consequences were no longer as simple as before. >> Okay, I'm verbally trespassing you for the 13th time. You probably already know the whole thing I'm about to say. You're trespassed from all Walmart on property. That includes Sam's Club, Murphy's Oil. You are not supposed to come back. If you get caught coming back again and I catch you again, you're going to go to jail again. Okay? Hopefully, you'll just go to prison or something. Okay? That way you don't come back. So, I'm writing verbal handcuffed. Thank you. All right. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Thanks, guys. In the end, the man was charged with retail theft over $300, resisting or obstructing a peace officer, and criminal trespass. Repeated theft and ignoring trespass warnings can turn what seems like a simple shoplifting case into much more serious legal trouble. Once police get involved, trying to flee can only make the consequences worse. Next, let's move on to this woman's theft case where she went even further by attacking the victim. >> Why do we go back to >> There's an investigation going on right now, Alison. You can't go nowhere right now. >> Investigation what? because she's accusing you of taking her phone. >> Right here. >> No. >> 13 now. >> Get the off of me. >> Just get off of me. >> On the 25th of September 2023, police received a report about a dispute that occurred after the victim believed another woman had taken her phone, causing the incident to turn into a robbery. Here's what happened when police arrived at the scene. >> Okay. She come in my store. She going to a store. >> All right. All right. Relax. Relax. >> I came to her store. >> No. Tell me. >> And uh listen to her. I don't have my fault. >> Okay. >> I came to her store to see if she help me charges. Right. >> I want to go. I'm not going back. You can't go. You can't go nowhere right now. I want to go back to >> There's an investigation going on right now. Allison, you can't go nowhere right now. >> Investigation? What? >> Because she's accusing you of taking her phone. >> You park right here. Behind your car over here. I had to get my stuff from the pantry right here before they close. >> Okay. But she's saying that her phone is missing. >> I'll be right back. >> No, no, no. It ain't about to be right back. Alice, >> their place is right here. >> No, no. It ain't about No, it ain't about 10 minutes. >> I need my cell phone. >> Okay, Alice. >> Alice, >> what? I'm right here. >> I don't have no phone. >> Where's the phone? >> Check my stuff. I check my jacket. Everything is empty. >> Okay. Where's the phone, Alice? >> Everything is empty. Where's the phone? >> Everything is empty. >> Oh, where's the phone? Just tell us where the phone is. I DON'T KNOW. YOU WANT YOUR PHONE BACK? >> YEP. >> You want your phone back? What kind of phone is it? >> Uh, Samsung is Samsung cell phone. >> Alice, where's the Where's the phone, Alice? >> The woman repeatedly tried to leave and insisted she didn't have the phone. But when officers tried calling the number, things turned out very differently. >> Where's the phone? I can hear it. >> You don't hear nothing. That's his phone. I just heard Alice. Alice, where's the phone? I CAN HEAR IT. >> HAVE IT. >> ALICE, WHERE'S THE PHONE? Cuz I can hear it. >> Ryan, I can hear I can hear I can hear something on >> I can hear something ring. You have it on ring or or vibrate. >> Ringing. >> I don't have no phone though. >> Take everything. Yo, >> can you please just let me >> Where's the phone? I go, friend, please just let me go. Just I just want to go right here. >> Alice, Alice, stop playing around. Alice, stop playing around. >> Stop talking. >> All right, >> here. He's on It's like on this side. >> Alice, >> I don't. >> How much is your phone? >> How much is your phone? >> Yeah. How much is it worth? >> Okay. But how much is it worth? >> $1,000. >> Okay. >> $1,000. All right, Alice. >> Did you see her take it? >> No, >> she my phone. >> Please. I can I can hear you, right? >> I got to get my phone from here. >> I can hear it. >> I got to get my phone from here. >> All right. Listen, if you don't give me the phone, >> please. >> You're You're going to get arrested. Okay. >> I just want TO GET MY STUFF FROM HERE, PLEASE. >> Just have to deal with this. WE HAVE TO >> NO, I NEVER CAN HANDLE my business. Just walk me to this door right here, please. Like last time, right, when you had to go to the hospital and you had to get braces and stuff like that. We took you over there. We said, "Look, take care of her. Make sure she get taken care of and things like that." >> No, we need to worry about this phone first. Alice, just give us the phone. >> Let's do what we got to do. >> Give her the phone. They need to go. >> Alice, everything is being recorded right now. >> Well, the camera's hearing everything. >> The door is right there. >> The phone could be heard ringing on her. Yet, she continued to deny having it. But after officers handcuffed and searched her, they finally found what they were looking for. your phone. >> There's your phone. >> Yes. >> Wow. Just to make a phone call. >> He rather call the police. >> I'm pretty sure. >> No, he rather call the police. He rather call the police. I said to make a phone call for me. Yo, y'all just stay in my mother business. Hate you guys. >> I swear to God I hate you guys. >> All y do is stay. >> We're going to have about 105. Take it. I don't care about >> We have information for nothing. Yo, I can't even get my thing. >> Yo, this crazy I got my >> What started as a simple theft became increasingly tense as the suspect's resistance turned into a prolonged struggle. >> I'M NOT. KILL ME RIGHT NOW. >> NO, I'M NOT GETTING THAT CAR. NO, I'M NOT. >> I AM NOT. NO, I'm not. >> No. No. >> Alice is not that serious. Alice. Alice, I'M NOT THAT SERIOUS. >> NO. >> ALICE, >> NO. >> ALICE, >> RELAX. ALICE. [screaming] >> ALICE, RELAX. >> NO. >> NO. >> 13 now. >> Get off of me. >> Just get off of me. >> Get in the car. >> I was in your face. >> Yo, you >> get off me. >> Three phones. Phone. >> Just get off of me. >> Get off me. >> Right. Alice, >> get off. >> Cut it out. >> Alice, stop. Alice. >> Alice, stop. >> Just get up off of me. >> Okay, but we're trying to put you in the car and you refusing. You want to hit your head against? >> I know. You just need a hand or do you need a car with a cage? >> Yeah, we just need a a hand getting her inside the car. She's been looking >> 39. I I'll roll over there. >> T will get inside the car. You going to >> No, just kill me. >> We're not doing that. It's It's not that serious. Alice. Alice. Alice, stop. >> Alice, stop. >> As police spoke with the husband and the store owner, a new detail emerged. Alice wasn't only accused of taking the phone, but the confrontation that followed also involved an act of violence. >> Okay. So what happened? You tell tell me what happened when you went to talk to her. You went to ask her about the phone. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Give me the phone. I said and >> my puh my wife porn is [laughter] >> you sto give me the problem is hit my head. Okay. >> It's okay. My head. >> Your head is okay. Do you need do you need an ambulance? >> No. I think no. >> No. You just got to ask and stuff like that. You need you don't need an ambulance or anything like that. You don't need to go to a hospital or anything like that. Okay. All right. I just need to take your information down. And where did this happen? When she hit you? >> When she hit you with the umbrella. Where? >> Uh over Clinton Street. >> It was on So, right here Street and Sixth Street. Close. >> Okay. So, Sixth and Clinton. >> Okay. Right here. All right. Do you have your ID? You have ID with you? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Do you need my >> Yeah. Yeah. I'll take yours at the same time. >> In the end, Alice was charged with first-degree robbery with a weapons enhancement and resisting arrest. What begins as a simple theft can become far more serious when a suspect chooses deception, force, and continued resistance. Cooperating with officers can prevent a bad situation from becoming even worse. Next, the thief in this case turned out to be a team leader at the very store where he worked. >> You'll see him fold bills in his hand and he slides them into his right pocket. just if you could just give us everything that belongs to your keys, your name badge, um anything else that you may have that >> on the 8th of October 2025, police received a call from Target about a theft that had taken place. The suspect was a 31-year-old team leader who had access to the cash office every day. Once officers arrived at the scene, they quickly confirmed the value of the loss. and we're going to forward it up uh to our detective bureau and tomorrow morning they're going to give a call and they're going to do their own investigation. >> Got it. Okay. >> Never had that happen usually. >> Yeah. I would love to make the I would love to make the arrest but our procedure is to call the detective bureau and with that I did and uh he uh he told me to go this route. So that's where we're at. And that's a sergeant with the uh our detective bureau. >> Got it. Um >> it's not it's not a uh it's not that it's not going to be investigated. you guys can still trespass him and everything. We're going to have all his information. We just want to get all our ducks in a row and with all the videos cuz over the span of a month. So, the detective bur would handle that and make sure the PC fits the $40,000 in each time and the days corroborate along with the money being taken. >> So, because normally like with any type of theft, we have all the video of him doing it. >> Yeah, I completely understand that. I completely that's where [clears throat] that's where we're at right now with the uh my supervisor in the detective bureau. That's what he's advising. >> The last couple days it was like a couple thousand dollars that we saw him live doing. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> So, you have all his videos already? >> Yeah, we have all the stuff. Like I was in the middle right now starting up. But before we even get to this point, we have like all video. We have That's HQ is the one that actually found out the stuff. So that's all through reporting cuz it's through cash office. So, it's literally all logged. >> Are they categorized by date and amount? >> Did you tell them about BSO's investigation? Like, I'm afraid that he's not No one's going to find him after this. It's almost $100,000. >> Do you do you have >> I'm going to We're going to show him the last couple days um worth of the money that he was taking because we have it um online. >> Yeah, it's multiple thousands of dollars from the past few days like why clear concealment. No. >> The man's actions were carried out over multiple days with the losses from each incident added together into one total. Once the amount exceeded $20,000, he could face a secondderee felony carrying up to 15 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000. By then, his actions had also been clearly captured on the store's cameras. >> You'll see him fold bills in his hand and he slides them into his right pocket. And this is just this is at the end of the day when you're emptying the cash register. >> This was this was the middle of the day at like 3:30 p.m. >> And then he does that about 300 times. >> But I mean this process is when you're emptying cash registers and taking an account of >> pretty much you collect the bags out of the registers and all the cash you bring it in here. Um you put it in the recycler, count it out and then all the bags go into the safe. Okay. >> And vice versa. >> Yeah. I never worked in a in a retail place. I just you know process. >> No problem. Yeah. This is my first case with this big of amount. So, I have no idea. She's successful. >> Like, like I was telling you, I mean, I've dealt with this before in Broward. And usually the DB roll, if they're here, they'll come out and like you said, it's it's a >> he's got a turn up. He's a young kid. You know, >> he lives in he's not going to he's laying his head somewhere in this county or the other county. We will find him. And at the end of the day, the problem is recouping that money. You're not going to get the money any >> in the big scheme of day, it's $40,000. >> Crimes that are way more than that or less than that. And we do the same investigation. He will be picked up. >> You know, I do I do as told. >> Yeah. Yeah. Know, you guys are good. No problem. Can't >> go against. >> After all of the man's actions, the store representative also made their decision regarding him. >> He's probably going to do it this evening. Um, >> well, we're going to fire him now, but >> the only difference between him taking off is a day cuz he will be released on a bond. You know, some kind of a bond and you know that's when you guys are he's going to if he's going to dip, he's going to dip. >> Oh, yeah. A thousand%. >> There are going to be repercussions. >> Don't worry about it. Okay. >> All right. Yeah. I apologize. It is what it is. >> That's fine. Let's go ahead and do the interview. All right. >> Yeah, we're going to get a statement. Who? >> Um, well, honestly, just we're we're going to figure it out. We We will >> The still need a statement from one of the managers. >> All right. >> I understand. >> I understand you're upset about this, but >> I No, it's just I've been He's here and I >> Okay. No, after after. >> Okay. Oh, yeah. That's fine. Okay. >> No, you can do what you got to do. >> Okay. >> Okay. [clears throat] >> Let's just wait outside here by the bathrooms. >> Yeah. >> You guys can hang on here. In [snorts] case you guys >> just identify real quick just real quick. >> Sorry. She's just going to say her little >> Okay, go ahead. Sure. >> All right. Um, unfortunately, we have to for girls misconduct stuff. Um, at this time if you could just give us everything that belongs to you, your keys, your name badge, um, anything else that you need. After spending time working toward a management position, he was now embarrassed by his foolish actions, which forced him to give up his entire position. He was then allowed to go home so officers could investigate further. When police came to his home, Ahmed finally realized how far things had gone. >> Um, you used to work at Target, right? >> Yes. >> Okay, here's the deal, bro. Um, so I'm going to try to make this work for you. Okay, there's no arrest warning around for you right now. I don't want to take you right now. Okay. Yeah. >> All right. I know. Let's make it work so that you can turn yourself in for a day that's convenient for you up in Palm Beach. Okay. And then you can get processed and then once you're processed um you'll be released on a bond. Okay. So, it's for everything that happened at Target. So, right now you're looking at you're looking at one count of grand theft and one count of organized scheme to defraud. So, those are both felonies. >> Organized. My suggestion would be if you're thinking about getting an attorney, >> if you get an attorney, I'll give you my name and number to have your attorney reach out and contact me so we can work on something that that's works for both parties involved. Okay. Um even even the target people, I don't think they're going to want a full reimbursement talking. They say you were pretty honest about it and you just kind of screwed up. Um but you still got to be held accountable for it. You know what I'm saying? Um because the warrant's out now, I didn't want to bring it over. You got to make a big scene or anything. Um so as long as you're willing sometime within the next two weeks, okay, >> um you're going to have to take a date when you're not working maybe or an evening that's convenient for you. Um make sure you have your bond money set up so that you can just at all. >> What's happen? >> I was literally just waiting to be contacted really cuz I I mean I wasn't sure of what was going on. >> Okay. Um, >> I mean, if you have money for an attorney, that's fine. If you don't, they'll appoint one for you. Um, you still have to be fingerprinted, photograph, process, and see a judge and then >> you'll be right out. You can probably contact a bail bond beforehand. >> Yeah, right, John. >> I have crocheted credit. I don't think they'll just give you money. >> Yeah. The only thing with the bondsman is they they're going to >> they can take signature bonds pretty much, but they're going to keep 10% no matter what. >> That's the only problem with the bonds. What was initially presented as a case that could be resolved by turning himself in eventually led to bail reaching tens of thousands of dollars. The I mean you you'll have like an initial appearance first with the judge with the charges. Then after that um they'll assign you an attorney and then you'll meet with your attorney and go over everything. And and I think all targets probably looking for they probably know you don't have that kind of money on you but maybe some type of small restitution or obviously you know >> what's the possibility of actual time? I don't know. I can't speak for it, but my experience has been based on something like this. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> It's not a violent crime. They don't look at it like that. >> Yeah. >> I've been doing 30 some years, man. I haven't seen someone get locked up for a property crime for a significant amount of time. Unless you got a history of stealing all the time. >> Yeah. History that's totally different cuz then you get squed out and stuff like that. Yeah. Dude, >> what I he was like, "No, let's call let's call BSO out and have them ready to go." Let's see what the kid wants to do first. So if you, like I said, you seem like a pretty honest kid. You just screwed up, made a mistake. It is what it is. Let's try to move past it and get you on the right track again. That way you don't have to look over your shoulder anymore. >> All right. >> Ahmed was charged with grand theft and organized fraud, both secondderee felonies. The lesson: repeated small acts can become a much larger legal problem when the total losses add up. Trust and access at work also come with serious consequences when that trust is abused. cannot come here anymore is what I'm telling you. >> Okay, go ahead. Do it. >> Okay, come on. >> I don't leave. You don't understand me. I don't leave. You make trouble. >> I just come. I don't do no nothing. >> On the 20th of May, 2023, police received a call from a Family Dollar store reporting a woman who was causing a disturbance and [music] refusing to leave the premises. When officers arrived, the woman immediately gave them her side of the story. >> What's going on? Yeah, I just come and buy the juice for 12 134 and this is my waist. Follow me. Look at my bag in the car. Just follow me while right here. I finish check it. Just follow me in the in the front door. You take my picture. I say what happened? You see nothing. Huh? What happened? Still look at my bed. Okay. This is the This is the juice. One $124. She presented the situation as if nothing had happened, but the store employee had a completely different story. >> How you doing, sir? I'm Christina. >> Nice to meet you. >> Um, she came, didn't I say one word to her, >> right? >> She was st I casted her out. She's the one that giving me eye contact and keep looking back at me. So, I just start giving her the eye contact back while she's exiting the door. So, when I finish cast her out, I just stood right here. Never asked her for her bag or anything. didn't say nothing, sir. I just watch everybody who comes in and out. >> Right. Right. >> And she came back in here to me. So, I backed up and stood over there. I'm like, "We have a problem. You watching me?" I said, "I'm entitled to watch everyone in the store." She came back in here. She told me to call the police. So, I went ahead and called the police. So, can you please give her no trespassing for me, please? >> You got your ID? >> I don't have ID. >> You don't have any ID? >> Yes. >> Nothing on you. >> All right. Well, let's go outside. I got to get your name. She doesn't want you to come back in the store. All right. >> Come back. >> Have her. >> What do you What do you What do you What do you mean come back in the store? >> You cannot come here anymore is what I'm telling you. >> Okay, go ahead. Do it. >> Okay. >> It turned out that the suspect herself had wanted the police to come. She acted as though she understood the situation, but in reality, she still did not understand what was happening as she repeatedly questioned [music] why she was being trespassed. >> Go outside real quick. >> Store. >> What? This store, you cannot come back to Family Dollar. This store >> Family Dollar sometime you say I don't come back on Family Dollar. >> What? What does that mean? >> You cannot come back here. >> What does that come back? I'm from I'm on the the front door. Why? I'm in the front door. SHE TRIED TO TAKE MY PICTURE. >> OKAY, but this is the problem. If you would have just left my bag, >> if you would have left be >> Now, I'm telling you, you have to leave the store. If you don't leave the store, >> I don't leave the store. >> You're going to go to jail. >> You don't understand. >> You are going to go to jail. Do you understand that? >> Go ahead. Yes. Go ahead. Check my bag. >> I'm not going to check your bag. I'm going to take you to jail. >> No. >> Come on. Let's go. >> No. >> Let's go. >> Do it right here. >> Let's go, >> Jimmy. Do it right here. >> No. No. We're doing that. We're doing outside. >> I have no idea what you just said. >> Do it. >> Okay. Let's go outside so we can do it. >> Do it. >> Come on. You got to go. >> You got to go. I'm going just wait for a female to get here. >> Okay. >> And then >> No problem. >> We'll handle it from there. >> Yeah. >> You do understand if you don't leave, you're going to go to jail, right? >> I don't leave. You understand me? I don't leave. You make trouble. I just come in. I don't drink. No, nothing. >> I just come in and I She's follow me. I stay in the front door. She say I What happened? >> You just follow me. Take my try take my picture. >> I get that. >> Yeah. >> Okay. You're in public. Anybody could take your picture. What does that mean? Picture for what? >> I don't know. >> I take something in the store. >> She never said that, did she? Did she? >> She never said that. WHY? WHY? WHY? SHE NEVER SAID THAT. YOU SAID YOU YOU said you said you supposed to take my picture. >> Why you supposed to show my picture? You You take You take I'm dumb. >> Listen. >> Okay. Check my bag. >> She kept emphasizing the situation and trying to portray herself as the victim, but her own actions told a completely different story. Even though she insisted that the officers check her bag, when they actually tried to do so, she refused to cooperate. [music] >> All right. You want there? Let me get your bag. >> Okay. Give me back. >> Let me get Let me get it. >> See, now you're breaking. >> Are you going to leave her voluntarily or do I have to take her to jail? >> Jail for what? I think >> trespass after warning. She does not want you in the store. She told you you can't come back here. I told you I finished checking. Hey. Hey. What? Hey, what? Okay. >> HEY, WHAT? HEY, WHAT? >> If you do not leave, >> what? >> If you do not leave, >> I don't take something. Hey, what? >> If you do not leave, you are going to go. >> No, I don't leave. But not >> if you do not leave. That's it. You do not leave. It's considered trespass after warning. I don't want to take you to jail. >> Jail for what? >> For trespass after warning. I was told >> I don't take no. >> You were told you have to leave. >> Leave >> the store. >> Leave the store. >> Just leave the store. Check the camera. Check the camera. >> Leave the store. >> No, I don't leave. >> So what? You going to stay here? >> Check the minute. Put the minute report. Give me the report. What now? 30 2 1. >> Once again, her words contradicted her actions. She had been telling the officers to take her away, but once they actually put her in handcuffs, the situation quickly escalated. >> This is your last. >> Okay. Sure. Yes. >> Nope. I gave you your shot. >> Okay. That's it. Yes. All right. Relax. Do not stick. Do not move. [cough and clears throat] probably loosen that one. >> No, they're both on. >> Oh, yeah. >> She was charged with battery, resisting arrest with violence, and trespassing. The court later found her incompetent to proceed, and the charges were [music] dismissed. Refusing to follow a lawful order can quickly turn a minor dispute into a serious legal situation. Cooperating with officers and leaving when instructed can prevent unnecessary escalation and additional charges. >> I have an honest job, sir. I do not have to steal anything. >> Did you kill seal anything in your purse? >> No, I did not. >> I'm sorry. No, you stay too far, bro. On the 6th of November 2025, deputies were dispatched to the parking lot of a Dick Sporting Goods after receiving a report of a woman who had allegedly taken unpaid merchandise from the store and was sitting [music] inside a vehicle. This is what happened when deputies approached the vehicle. >> No, I couldn't. >> I think that's >> behind the passenger seat. Yep. >> Get out the car. Get out the car. Out of the car. Mom, go and get us here. Hands up. Face away from me. >> Okay. They tried to say I was trying. >> Hands up. >> Hands up. >> We'll figure that out. Hey, you got cover. I got contact. >> Go ahead, >> ma'am. Come over to me. >> Yes, sir. >> Face that way, ma'am. >> Hands up. Hands up. Come stepping back. Keep stepping back. Keep stepping back. Side step to your left. Side step to your left. Stop right there. Okay. >> Hey, put your hands back up. Yes, sir. They tried to say that I was on the field or something like that. >> Yeah, man. I'm back. You got your other C. >> All right. Well, right now you're being detained till we figure out what's going on. All right. No, >> is there anybody else in the car with you? >> No, not a problem. >> One out four, you can clear. We got one detain. Everything stem four and it's just me and two. Whose car is this? >> Afterward, her family members arrived. Based on the explanations she gave, it appeared that they had no idea about the woman's actions. >> Whose car is this? >> What happened? Trying to say that I was trying to steal >> right here. Stop. Uh, well, the car the car is going to be shut down for now. >> Why? What happened? >> So, we got two options. cuz I get a search warrant for it. Are you guys going to be sent for me to search the car for property that should possibly be taken from Dig Sporting Goods? >> Go ahead and sit in there, ma'am. Go ahead and sit in there. Ma'am, take a seat. >> I did not steal anything from Dig Sporting Goods. >> Take a seat. >> She did what? >> She stole from Dick Sporting Goods. >> What? >> I'm going to randomize her real quick. >> Just give us a second. All right. >> Okay, that's fine. Sir, I did not take anything from there. >> You guys have an ID on you? >> Oh, it's in there. >> I did not take anything from there. >> Set this up. I got to read your sign. I'm going require you for >> She ain't got nothing to do with this. >> Do you have You understand? >> All right. With those rights in mind, you want to speak to me? >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. Did you take anything from inside there? >> No. I swear to God, I did not, sir. As soon as I walked in, I [clears throat] had looked at this um Christmas ball bag and ever since then, I don't know, but you I already know how these people be it dicks. So, they of course they're going to look at me that type of way. >> Contrary to her repeated denials, the deputies searched the vehicle and discovered multiple items of merchandise belonging to the store. I came in there with that [ __ ] stuff. They act like that. That's the only dick. I had that stuff already. What the queer? Quum. Bro, I did not take any thing, bro. Could you record for a I got everything I need. I got all the clothes. >> Let she describe. >> Yeah. Get that out of here, son. I don't even >> She continued to deny everything, trying to explain each detail one by one. However, it was clear that she had nothing to support her claims when the deputy questioned her about the merchandise. >> It's at my house. >> That this is at your house? >> Yes. >> The receipt for all this? >> Yes. I was not trying to do any returns or anything like that, sir. >> Okay. >> I swear to God, I do not have no reason to lie. >> So, you don't have a receipt for that? >> I do have a receipt for that. I never said that. I did not. Not on me because I did not come to return. I wanted to match. So, why did you have the items concealed in the back seat between the seats? >> Because that's where I had it at. >> Oh, that's where you have it at. Okay. >> That's where I had it at. I have no reason to to lie, sir. >> Okay. >> Why would I? I'm just trying to figure this all out. Like, they need to run them cameras back and show me cuz I swear to God I did not steal anything, sir. I swear to God I did. I'M ALREADY OUT ON BOND, SIR. I would not do this. Is this stupid? >> I think you got a warrant, too. So >> where? >> I'll let you know in a second. >> It's in North Carolina. >> Yeah, you got North Carolina warrant for instate pick up. All right. >> Yes, I know that, sir. >> You haven't been convicted down here? >> Yes, I have. >> Okay. >> I'm sick of this, bro. I swear to God, dog. Sick of this. Black every time. I'M PLAYING. I'M TELLING you now. >> The suspect genuinely believed she was being wronged and tried to portray herself as the victim. However, her story became even less convincing as contradictions began to emerge in her explanations about the stolen merchandise. >> One, two, three. >> This one? >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. And this and this one price or separate prices? >> These are separate prices. >> Okay. There's no tag on this one. Can you get me the price, please? >> Yeah. My little nephew don't be having clothes and stuff like that. I wanted to try to match his shoes with his outfit. That's a colorful outfit. >> And you brought that with you in the purse? >> Yes, sir. I did. I had took it out when I had got to the register on this far left end. Sir, >> you took what out? The items? >> Yeah. No, I took that outfit, that specific outfit out, so I can ask the lady, "Do they have a um like the shoes and stuff?" And is this the right size? Because in there it says like um they got Crocs and stuff like that. I wanted to just get him some colorful Crocs. Kids shirt. Kids t-shirt. Kids t-shirt. Kids t-shirt. 30 30 33 kids t-shirt. One p sweatpants and one sweater. >> Yeah. >> Okay. We was out there over there eating at Big John's. That's the only reason why I came in this plaza. I had also went to the GNC. If anything, why didn't I steal all over, sir? >> Like, that's just ridiculous. >> Shortly afterward, the store representative gave an account that directly contradicted her denials, providing a very different version of what had happened inside the store. >> Um, [snorts] as she was entering, I was walking up the main aisle. Um I saw her putting on her face mask. I walked up to her, asked her, "Hey, did you need any help with anything?" As she stopped at the um balls bag fixture. We were talking. She's like, "Oh, these are so cute for the holiday." I'm like, "Yeah." I was like, "Yeah, they're really cute. New holiday stuff. You know, t the season. >> Can you get the for me?" >> Why is that? >> Can I talk to the sergeant? >> Sergeant's not going to do anything on the rest. Um, she then proceeded to the youth section where she grabbed the three shirts off of the table. >> What shirts? >> Um, kids youth Nike shirts. >> The lies did not come easily. As the questioning continued, the pressure of maintaining a false story became harder to bear. And eventually, the woman could no longer keep denying what had happened and admitted to her actions. I will admit that I did take um the two Nike black shirts. I just don't know what I should do. >> Do by what? >> Life. >> First of all, stop taking stuff and not paying for it. You have a good job, so I don't understand why you feel the need that you have to take stuff. >> Sure. >> Yep. >> Can I please ask for a citation or something? I won't ever come to this area again. You already got you already out on bond. >> Sorry. What the [ __ ] did you meant me? >> You You could have just been honest with me when I asked you, but you wouldn't lie to me because >> I gave you the opportunity to be honest. >> I was scared, sir. >> Honesty goes a long way. >> Right. But I was scared, sir. >> Why you saying this is going to mess you up for? BECAUSE I'M ALREADY OUT OF BODY AND I DON'T WANT TO BE ARRESTED, SIR, LIKE NOBODY DO. >> They just gonna put you on probation. >> No, I just don't want nothing, you know. I want to apologize to everybody. >> You don't have the opportunity to do that, >> sir. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. >> You don't have to apologize to me. >> I'm sorry. I stay too far, bro. Please give me a second chance, sir. >> Correct me if I'm wrong. They gave you a second chance when they put you on bond, right? >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. And what was the stipulations when you got out on bone that you weren't going to do this again? Right. >> I didn't go on bond for this. >> So, obviously, if you didn't learn charges, I can't get no charges. >> If you didn't learn the first time when they gave you bond, >> I did learn. >> So, maybe this second time you going to learn. There's a lot of things in this world that people can't afford, but they don't go stealing it. >> I just want a second chance, please. >> Jasmine Hill, 33, was arrested and booked into the Palm Beach County Jail for theft with one prior conviction. She later pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 180 days in jail. >> What? My mind is not really great right now. I am freaked out. I'm really upset. I mean, >> I thought you grabbed me. I don't know. It elicited a response in me and I just >> On the 21st of June 2024, officers received a call from Walmart reporting a woman who had committed theft at the store. As soon as they arrived at the scene, the woman immediately stepped forward to make excuses for herself. Here is what happened next. >> Okay. >> She she went with her dad. >> Okay. I just I got you. >> Okay. Um I want to talk to you about what's going on. You're pseudo in custody here. So, I'm going to read you your random warning here, okay? because you're not free to go and stuff. All right. So, um we got a call about just stealing some stuff. Um asset protection. >> That's not intentional. Whatever Whatever I didn't pay for >> or whatever I didn't scan, I will pay for. I don't I don't >> I don't know what it >> Okay. The other problem, too. So, we should explain to you the starting point is you battered her when she was telling you she was calling the police. >> She grabbed me. >> I watched the video. She was on the phone and you were grabbing at her phone. >> Yeah. She told me, "You're going to jail. tried to come and grab me and my daughter, my car. She just freaked me out. >> To come and grab me and grabbing you are two different things. I >> I actually saw you grab her like grab me out of the phone, right? >> Right. To get her phone out of her. >> Okay, let me explain this. So, that in itself could be aggravated battery because it's during the commission of a retail. Okay. I'm not going and that and what that means to you is that's a felony. I'm not going to charge you with a felony because I kind of understand the dynamic of hey, you know, we got this lady stopping me and stuff, but she did. >> I mean, she's done this thousands of times. She calls us all the time. Okay. So, she identified >> like the approach differently. >> Well, listen to me. So, she identified herself working for Walmart. She asked you to come back in and then she told you you were calling the police and you grabbed out. Okay. Um, now you said that she was >> so a confrontation had already taken place before the police arrived, but the woman clearly showed no remorse for her actions. Instead, she began to grow frustrated because things were not going the way she wanted. >> Get the video. I don't know. >> Okay, but I'm asking you because you know, >> well, I tell you what, my mind is not really great right now. I am freaked out. I'm really upset. I mean, I've never been in trouble in my life and then I get pulled over by like eight cops. You know what I mean? I was just like, "Oh my god." >> Let me ask you this. Why? When she confronted you, why didn't you just stop and try to work it out? >> I don't know. I She just clam out of me all the wrong way and it scared me. Okay. >> I had a incident here one time where I almost got >> Okay. >> followed me down every aisle and then followed me halfway home. I had to ditch try to ditch him. It was just a mess. And >> get pulled in the police car. >> Well, it just get gave me like a >> immediately I just got freaked out and I just probably wasn't thinking. I I don't know why I didn't because like I said, I have $500 in cash in my wallet. I don't know why I would >> I had inventory, but it's you have money and stuff. So, it's the reason why I was kind of wondering what was what was going on, >> right? I mean, we >> What you're saying what you're saying is this was all mistake. >> Yes. >> She tried to portray herself as innocent, continuing to insist that it was all a mistake. But she could not fool the officers. Once [music] again, they rejected her claim that the theft was simply a misunderstanding. My only my only my only rebubble with that would be when she stopped you to try to speak to you about it. >> I think like I said, it just freaked me out because of the incident that I had before and somebody coming up to you like that and my child and my child's freaking out. It just elicited something in me. >> Okay, now that we're sold down, >> they have the receipt of the things you paid for. Do you have any other items in the car that has not been >> Now, is this stuff that you paid for? >> This is all the >> Is this stuff that you paid for you did not pay for? She said that there's some things you paid for and there's some things you didn't pay for. I don't know what I didn't pay for. >> Some of the things you you paid for you left in there and about the same amount of money that you didn't pay for. I mean, it was about the same $69 you left with, $69 you paid for. You know what I'm saying? So, >> it just seems hard to me when you're scanning yourself out when you would realize, hey, nearly half of the items I've selected aren't on the the U scan here. Okay. >> I Well, I didn't really look at it either. I mean, you should. I mean, how'd you pay? Well, yeah. I paid with the on the little thing, but I didn't like their card. Did you pay the cash? Did you pay? >> No, I paid my card. >> Okay. And I mean, you didn't think, well, this is about half of what it should be or anything like that? >> No. These are like cheap. These are like seven bucks. >> Okay. >> I don't know. Whatever Whatever I didn't pay for though, I'm happy to pay for it. >> Okay. We'll we'll go in there and talk to her. Is there anything else that you have in your car that you're not sure if you paid for or not? >> No, that's the only bag that we grabbed. Where's the actual backp bag? Is it in the car still? >> Uh, >> immediately afterward, the officers searched her vehicle and recovered several items of merchandise. >> Where you work at? >> Where you work at? >> Yeah, you can turn off your car, too. Don't turn off your window to shut your car off. You're not burning up all your gas. You want me to turn it off for you? I'll turn it off for you. Lock it. >> Thank you. >> So, we'll go in there. Um, >> you might as well. >> Uh, so we'll we'll try to figure out what you paid for, what you didn't cuz you're you're not sure. I've got your wallet right there. I'll grab that. Then you got stuff in there you paid for that you need to get too. >> Probably. I don't know. She just scares me. Didn't even like my goofy. She want to come up to me and say, "Hey, look. Uh I forgot to send something or something like that." That' been different. But her coming up to me like like she's somebody in authority and I don't know what. So when we go in here, just keep in mind that I'm choosing not to charge you with a felony, right? So I explain that. So when we do go in there, let's not be mouthing and bickering back and forth. Let's handle business. Okay. >> No, I'm not. Is that fair? Okay. All right. >> The items were later returned and the loss prevention staff reviewed everything before making their final decision. >> The stuff that she did. >> Yep. So she's got two swimsuits on here and the two elastic things like I told you, the ponytail >> and I knew that white clothing item went through it paid for. So this is >> Were both of these paid for Valerie? >> Yes. So she's got the two elastic 20 counts and then two. Uh due to the physical altercation between us um and the lack of cooperation today, you're going to be trespassed from all Walmart and properties forever. Okay? They're no longer allowed on any Walmarts, Sam clothes, or Murphy's oil. >> Okay. Well, I I do want to apologize. It I told them I tried to get me and when you come up to me and grabbed my car and I guess you didn't grab I thought you grabbed me. I don't know. It elicited a response in me and I just So, I'm I'm sign for me, please. Uh, it is all on video though. I did not ever touch you. Okay, >> that that's fine. I like I said, I'm >> I'm sorry. I didn't mean to. This is the only item I have to add to the list of things. >> In the end, the woman was charged with retail theft and permanently trespassed from all Walmart and Sam's Club properties. Being caught does not make someone the victim. Taking responsibility for your actions is always better than trying to shift the blame when the evidence clearly tells a different story. Next, this woman even ended up having her car seized just because of petty theft. More surprisingly, these shoplifterss were even university students majoring in social work. >> For ISU besides students, like what are you guys studying? >> Oh, social work. >> Say what? >> Social work. >> Second event at the store. I don't know if it was reported to you guys. This was like two years ago. >> Oh, yeah. On August 21st, 2025, officers responded to a Walmart after the store reported two teens, one male and one female, who had concealed merchandise and deliberately skipped payment at the selfch checkckout, but they were quickly stopped by loss prevention staff. This was what happened when police arrived at the scene. >> So, excuse me. >> So, the theft and stuff without paying for it. Um this is the power here that's on paid for. >> How much was it? >> So try to get that. >> Um that was paid for and then as well that's her >> that's her ID. I didn't get a true ID from him. I got to go. >> Okay. But >> number one, do you understand each of these rights I have explained to both of you? Okay. Number two, having these rights in mind, do you wish to speak to me now? Okay. You guys said yes. Okay, with that being said, got to figure out what happened, why I'm called out here. Okay, they have video. Obviously, this is nothing new. Is this your guys' first time offense doing this? Okay, I'm going to check with my dispatch. As long as it is, you guys get out here on just a little basic civil ticket. Okay, it's kind of a slap on the wrist. Just let you know if it happens again becomes a felony regardless of how much it is. Okay, so your second offense if you guys get arrested for becomes a felony. Okay, so if it's $5 and $5, you go to jail. The officers explained to the suspects how the situation would be handled, but it seemed their suspicions were correct as this was not the first time the wrongdoing had been committed. >> Second event at the store. Um, I don't know if it was reported to you guys. This was like 2 years ago. >> Oh, yeah. This happened when I first got out to ISU. My sister and her boyfriend was at or whatever and she didn't pay for I think two ISU shirts. So, our boy stopped us, but he made all of us. >> Sure. Okay. Yeah. Yeah, with that being said, you still have a court date and you still have to have to go in front of a judge. Uh, if you don't go, a warrant will be issued. Okay. He said both of them are scanning items. >> Um, yeah, both of them were putting stuff in bags without scanning them. >> Okay. All right. Um, the ticket for both of you guys each will be 275 each. Okay. >> So, if you don't if you don't pay, >> if you don't pay, a warrant will be issued. Yep. >> Say what? >> So, if you don't pay >> Yep. Yep. You can fight it in court and contest it. Uh, everybody has a right to do that. You have right to retain counsel. Um, but if you determine not to, that's on you guys. Uh, but just don't forget to pay it because these this gets translated ISU. Okay. Uh, >> what is it supposed to be doing? >> I'll see you again at one of them parties. I'll write you a ticket again. >> Wait, what? >> Yeah, cuz those big parties whenever the security says shut it down. >> Oh, I don't partiesh. Trust me. >> Uhhuh. That's what everybody says. And I run to you guys again. I I I literally >> You'll never saw me out there. >> All right. I promise. >> I'm just letting you know. I already know how to lodge it up. >> Uh-huh. Report in the meantime. Yeah, like I said, I had to read you guys Miranda cuz you guys are customally in this room. Um, basically you guys aren't free to leave. >> It became clear they grew frustrated when they realized they could not leave, further showing a lack of remorse, and they were even college students, which led officers to warn them that their actions could impact their academic future. Uh, with that being said, if you guys continue having interactions with us, Bloomington County, anywhere else in the state, that gets reported to ISU and then they can revoke your scholarships, tuition, stuff like that. Okay? So, just let you guys students, make sure you guys make the right decisions. Okay? What do you guys do for ISU besides students? Like, what are you guys studying? >> Oh, social worker. >> Say what? >> Social worker. >> What about you? >> Marketing. It's just past 150, but for the both of them. So, I got to figure out. So, the the problem is is I have to write both OB's. Okay. The problem is they got me entire total, but they were both scanning different items. So, I'm going to need Walmart to get me two receipts for the total for each of the people. >> Yeah. So, >> so you got an OV for the 150. >> Yeah. Well, no, cuz the total is 160, but they both were scanning different items. >> Yeah. >> So, yeah. So, they both be 100. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> You need me to do anything? Uh yeah, he'll probably have to have your just leave it cracked. If you can leave it cracked. So this is great. The problem is since they both were scanning, I'll need like a receipt for each one of them cuz I'm running them each separate OBS. >> Oh, I see what you're saying. >> Yeah, because they're both going to be under 150 cuz the total is 168. >> And if they're both scanning items, then they can't be over 150. >> Okay. So >> So you need you need two of those. >> Yeah. Well, no, not two. I need the receipt for each >> Oh, I know each one. >> Yeah. Yeah, which each one did. >> Immediately after handling everything, the officers explain their course of action to the suspects. >> At a later date, they'll get with me. Um, but you guys are just going to get the OVs, ordinance violations. It's a basically a slap on the wrist. Okay? If you, as long as you pay it, it gets dropped off the record. Now, that being said, you guys are Huh? >> You said we had to pay the license. >> Nope. It's 2.75 each. Okay. Uh, so it' be 2.75 each. Um, yeah. Was there any particular reason? >> I'm not going to lie, we're in college. I just wanted some smell goods and I just only had Link. I'm going be honest. >> All right, Gabby. Like I said, these are basically a civil ticket, slap on the wrist. Uh if it happens again, like I said, you get arrested. Okay. Um keep that in mind. Um you guys have any questions for me about how get to get that taken care of? On the back side of that, it tells you how to get get taken paid. You can go to the the uptown >> the secretary. >> Yep. Yep. It tells you on the back side. You go to Uptown uh the uh 11 Uptown Circle, pay for it, or you can go to uh you go online and pay for it. Okay. Um so there's going to be stuff like they left at the bottom of the cart and neither one of them really touched. So what kind of um what do you want me to do about that? >> Stuff in the bottom of the cart. Uh >> neither of them just they just left there. They just fit kind of behind >> and walked out and >> if there's stuff that was lightly put in the bags and there was stuff that was just left. >> If stuff was left behind, I wouldn't I mean what you mean like left in the cart? Like they just didn't touch it or scan it? >> Yeah, they scan it >> like it wasn't like a blade like this person did. >> In the end, both suspects were formally charged with retail theft, issued citations, fined $275 each, banned from all Walmart properties, and required to appear in court. Mistakes may seem small in the moment, but repeated dishonesty can quickly escalate into serious consequences that impact both your future and your reputation. On the 15th of July 2024, police approached a woman who was accused of leaving a Red Lobster without paying and threatening an employee. Her behavior when officers arrived only further proved just how volatile the situation had become. >> Sounds weird. I don't care. So, you do what I do. >> All right. You're not leaving. Do what I do. You're not leaving. Do what I do. Okay. Do what I do. Cuz I mean I am cuz I told him I was going to get money for you. He said no. So then I'm not going to do it. I'm not going to do it. So if we going to do whatever we going to do, we going we going to fight it out till they situation worse. >> He's weird. No, I'm not staying here FOR THAT [ __ ] Y LIKE FIVE OFFICERS [ __ ] It's not that [ __ ] serious. Like what the [ __ ] Even he know that >> is five officers here. >> EVERY TIME I GO FIVE SIX OFFICERS for what? We It could be a simple a little weird. I just suck the [laughter] [ __ ] out you [ __ ] Be weird. I said, "I'll get away for it." It's a lie. She's a lie. >> He said I said, "I'll get away. I'm glad I [ __ ] you, bitch." I [ __ ] the [ __ ] out. I told you I said, "No, no, I'm still here. If I get the [ __ ] money, SO IF YOU WANT TO FIGHT, WE CAN DO THAT. I don't give a [ __ ] This [ __ ] [ __ ] up. I'm about to [ __ ] out. So give me for assault, too. Give me for that, too. Make sure I do that. You don't [ __ ] you up with your [ __ ] like that. He's got weird. You know that you going to [ __ ] that. >> How much does she owe you? Listen, let me speak to him. >> Her behavior continued to support the allegations and fearing that the situation could escalate into an unnecessary confrontation, the officers quickly detained her. I I look UP >> NOW. You're under arrest. >> [ __ ] take a fighting stance on me. >> Stop resisting. Wait, let me go. Let me go. NO, HERE'S MY [ __ ] THOUGH. You know, I swear to God that was just that wasn't right. I didn't touch you or nothing, bro. Right after handcuffing the woman, officers received additional information that she had previously attempted to steal from the store, prompting them to question her further. Unfortunately for her, some stolen items were also found in her bag. I don't have enough right now. >> 307. This silverware is that I don't know what silverware or get his info. Get the manager's info. >> Are you the girl the other day? >> Yeah. Yeah. >> I thought you were leaving town over there going. >> The officers then approached the store employees to find out what had happened earlier inside the restaurant. She was my mother. I just went to the kitchen. I turned around. I tried to find her in the table. She disappear. So just running around. >> Did she pay for anything? Nothing. She said she No, she asked for two everything but she's trying to ask me for another she. >> Can we take this? >> And that's your fork and knife, right? Yeah. >> All right, let's let's get her in. >> During the transport, the woman repeatedly appeared worried about her fate. Something that was clearly absent when she carried out her earlier actions. >> Okay. I'm sorry. What was your question? >> Sorry. >> You know enough to like put your clothes on? >> Like you know how people change into like you guys' outfit? >> Oh, like a prison uniform. Do you think I'll have to do that? >> Uh, not not at our here in jail. So, >> have you been arrested before? >> California. >> In California. Did they make you do that? >> It depends what you did. >> Well, you did. Yeah. Um, so >> longer there, too. >> You were You held longer. >> I was there for like >> Okay. Well, you're not going to be in our custody where you'll have to change clothes or anything like that for 3 days. Uh, pretty much we're going to go. You're going to be charged. Uh, it seems like a theft and and resisting and then um and then you're going to get a score. It's uh >> you're not sick, injured, or ill, right? No. >> Darcia Williams was charged with theft of services, harassment, and resisting arrest. [music] She was issued a complaint summon and released. What do you think about cases like this?
