He actually went like this. >> He went like >> Yeah. >> Guided by security, officers reached the sixth floor. As the elevator opened, Stribling stood before them holding a knife and an umbrella. The situation quickly became tense. >> Billy, STOP. STOP IT. >> SUDDENLY, STRIBLING RAISED HIS KNIFE and advanced toward the officers, forcing them to react immediately with their service weapons and a less lethal device. In seconds, [music] everything changed. >> Billy, stop. Stop it. >> Officers secured the scene and provided first aid before emergency crews arrived. No officers or bystanders were injured. A tense reminder of how one reckless choice [music] can lead to irreversible consequences. On June 22nd, 2023 at 4:31 a.m. in Bell Gardens, California, USA, a deputy spotted 45-year-old Jesus Cerda driving in circles at the intersection of Eastern Avenue and Florence Avenue. What seemed like reckless driving was about to take a dangerous turn. >> Come on. You don't move. You don't [ __ ] move. >> 998 at Eastern [music] and Florence. >> White SUV in front of my vehicle. >> The deputy positioned his patrol car to protect approaching traffic. Instead of stopping, Cerda suddenly drove straight into the police vehicle, [music] then reversed and struck it again while the deputy was still inside. >> Do you need a unit at Florence and Eastern? Unit responding to Eastern Ave. Units responding at Florence and Eastern or Florence and Eastern? 2600 >> I got a 998. >> Certa struck the patrol car three more times, leaving the deputy in a dangerous position. With the situation escalating rapidly, the officer was forced to respond using his service weapon. >> If you keep on rushing your mic, I copy you need a union 204 and 8. Still in the vehicle. >> Don't move! >> He's still in the PT. >> Ma'am, my vehicle was rammed. It's 245. And I'm going to 998. Not Not injured. >> Certa's [music] vehicle finally came to a stop, and responding deputies secured the scene. Both Certa and the injured deputy were taken to hospitals. A powerful reminder that one reckless decision can put multiple lives [music] at risk. >> That's a negative. No. >> Hey, put it in drive, hey! Get Get out! >> I got it. I got it. >> Don't move, dude! Don't move right now! Do not move! >> Okay. Yeah, we're going to get him down. >> Can you confirm the location? >> Wait, ON THE GROUND! GET ON THE GROUND! >> On July 27th, 2023 at 6:38 p.m. in Tampa, Florida, USA, police received a report of a stolen vehicle at AdventHealth Tampa. GPS tracking led officers to 36-year-old John Coker, triggering a pursuit that eventually reached Dade City. >> All right, he's bailing out. He's running out of his vehicle. See if you can still hold him. He is running into the wooded area. Quick, see if we got a street name for it. If someone can come up faster >> Coker abandoned the vehicle near a public store and fled into a neighborhood. After hiding in a shed, he forced an innocent driver to help him escape. But with officers closing in from every direction, his options were running out. >> Coming out of the corner right now. He jumped into it. >> Who's car driving through? >> This is okay. >> He's got a gun. He's got a gun. >> He's got a firearm in his hand. >> HEY, HANDS. HANDS. >> I GOT SHOTS FIRED. I'M taking him out of the vehicle. He's trying to get into it. He's on the ground. Watch your hands. Watch your hands, guys. Got something in his hand. Watch out for him. >> When the vehicle stopped, Coker stepped out and pointed a firearm toward the officers. Facing an immediate threat, four sheriff's deputies and one Dade City officer responded with their service weapons, bringing the confrontation to a sudden end. >> Drop the gun. DROP THE GUN. LAY ON THE GROUND. Lay on the ground. LAY ON THE GROUND. GET ON THE GROUND. GET OUT. GET OUT. GET OUT. >> SOMEBODY GET STOP STICKS READY. >> WHAT? >> WHERE'S HE AT? IS it this van right here behind us? >> [music] >> Okay. >> Van. >> Who's car driving through? >> Coker was taken to a hospital in critical condition. With eight previous felony convictions, he now faced multiple serious charges including armed carjacking, kidnapping, and assault on officers. One desperate escape had only led to far greater consequences. >> Get out. Get out. HOLD YOUR FIRE. STAY DOWN. BACK HERE. Shots fired. Shots fired. Stay down. Get out. Get up here. Get up here. >> ON THE GROUND, [ __ ] ON THE [ __ ] GROUND. >> ON JULY 26TH, 2023 at 2:12 a.m. in Huron, Ohio, USA, police responded to a security alarm at Vacationland Federal Credit Union on University Drive East. What they discovered was anything but ordinary. >> 995, we're over in the drive-thru. >> While searching the building, officers heard noises coming from the roof above the drive-thru area. Beneath an access door sat a blue recycling bin. Something unusual was about to happen. Suddenly, a duffel bag dropped from above, followed by a man landing directly inside the recycling bin. Little did 27-year-old Tristan Heidle know police were already waiting for him. His escape plan had taken an unexpected turn. >> On the ground, [ __ ] ON THE [ __ ] GROUND! >> OH, [ __ ] >> GET OUT. GET OUT. >> GO. >> THIS [ __ ] >> Put your hands Hands behind your back. >> Officers quickly took Heidle into custody and recovered construction tools from his bag. He faced charges of breaking and entering, possession of criminal tools, and safe cracking, with bond set at $50,000. Sometimes the most carefully planned escape ends in the most unexpected place. >> Who's here with you? >> Just me. No, I thought I wanted to >> On February 3rd, 2024, at approximately 10:21 a.m. in Georgia, USA, state troopers pursued two sport motorcycles along Interstate 75. Refusing to stop, the riders turned a busy highway into a dangerous high-speed chase. >> I'm secondary behind you trying to catch up. >> Nice work. >> Four trying to catch up on 95 right now. Traffic is going northbound. >> I got it. >> Copy. >> that. He's at 319 with 20 yellow here. 80 with another one. Passing the 320 56 52. >> We're passing the 321. >> Copy that. He's at 321. >> He's passing 77 in Calhoun. >> After the first motorcycle crash near mile marker 319, officers continued pursuing the second rider. Reaching speeds of 140 mph, he repeatedly weaved between lanes and slipped past attempts to surround him. How long could he keep pushing his luck? >> Motorcycle fire here. >> Crossing into Whitfield. Should be a white male, appears to be black shirt, blue undershirt. >> He's crossing into Whitfield County. >> That's nearly 20 or 30 miles. >> Copy that. He's at 363 in Calhoun. Show back up. >> He's crossing 130 into 130. >> He's traveling at 130. >> Copy that. He's at Alliance State 130. >> He's at 320. >> Got 378 coming up. Be careful. Be careful. >> Copy that. Black jacket. >> Copy black jacket, red and black helmet, tan shorts, blue undershirt. >> I want you to stay on contact. >> 136 Calhoun. Have an 10-0 and route to that first 10-50. >> Near mile marker 326, the rider suddenly changed lanes and misjudged the distance, causing his rear tire to strike a patrol car's front bumper. The motorcycle lost control, sending the rider sliding across the pavement. In an instant, the chase was over. >> Stay there. GET OUT. ROLL OVER. NOW. >> 537 10-95. 10-95. >> Officers quickly secured the rider and provided medical assistance. He was taken into custody without further [music] resistance. A powerful reminder that at extreme speeds, even the smallest mistake can carry life-changing consequences. On October 9th, 2026 at approximately 10:40 p.m. in Arkansas, USA, state police pursued a black passenger car after the driver refused to stop for a broken headlight and license plate light. A routine traffic violation was about to turn into a dangerous chase. >> Pull over. Pull over. >> Ignoring police signals, the driver accelerated and continued fleeing. Officers followed closely as the situation grew increasingly tense, but how far could he go before running out of options? At a critical moment, a trooper performed a PIT maneuver, sending the fleeing car off the road and into a ditch. Within seconds, officers surrounded the vehicle and ordered the [music] driver to show his hands. The chase was finally over. >> Go and start 160. LET ME SEE YOUR HANDS. WHY DON'T YOU STOP IT? Crawl out. This way. Crawl out. Crawl out. This way, towards me. Let me see your hands the whole time. Just out the window. Don't open the door. >> The driver was taken into custody after questioning the reason for the stop. Officers then searched the vehicle and investigated possible substance-related violations. What began with two faulty lights ended in a far more serious encounter, proving that fleeing police only makes a bad situation worse. >> If you would have pulled over, I wouldn't have had to. >> On September 15th, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in Arkansas, USA, state police pursued a pickup truck driven by a man suspected of making online threats against law enforcement and public officials. Reports suggested he might be armed, making the situation especially dangerous. >> Passing on the shoulder. >> Despite repeated police signals, the driver refused to stop. Officers continued the pursuit knowing that every passing second increased the risk. With a potentially armed suspect ahead, one wrong move could change everything. At a critical moment, a trooper attempted a PIT maneuver to stop the truck, but the patrol car's front bumper became caught on the pickup sending both vehicles spinning out of control. In seconds, a calculated maneuver turned into an unpredictable situation. >> 6-1, copy that. >> Pit pit pit. >> 6-1, copy that. >> 40, get out of your car. Let's see your Let's see your hands. >> Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported. The incident highlights the risks officers face when making split-second decisions under pressure. Sometimes, even a carefully planned action can take an unexpected turn, reminding us that safety should always come first. >> Hands. Seatbelt, can I cut seatbelt? We got him, okay? All right. >> On July 22nd, 2025, in Polk County, Florida, USA, police spotted a silver Toyota Tundra reported stolen near US Highway 98. The driver, later identified as Michael Ray Miller, refused to stop, triggering a dangerous pursuit through the streets of Lakeland. >> [music] >> Ignoring flashing lights and sirens, Miller accelerated through residential streets, reaching speeds of 100 mph. He ran a red light, nearly collided with another driver, and continued speeding. Every reckless turn put more innocent lives at risk. The pursuit intensified as Miller reached 120 mph in a 45 mph zone, even driving against traffic to escape. Near Winter Lake Road, a patrol car accidentally collided with another police vehicle during a turn, forcing one trooper to withdraw from the chase. Other officers continued the pursuit until Miller was eventually arrested near Fletcher Avenue and South Cambie Road without further resistance. What began as an attempt to escape ended in handcuffs, reminding us that no getaway is worth risking the safety of others. On December 7th, 2024, in Orange County, Florida, USA, Florida Highway Patrol and local police were responding to a street takeover near Emerald Dunes Drive and Lee Vista Boulevard. As officers blocked the exits, a white Honda Accord suddenly drove onto the sidewalk, attempting to get around the patrol vehicles. A trooper followed with lights and siren activated, but the driver refused to stop and continued onto Lee Vista Boulevard. The first PIT team maneuver spun the Honda around, yet the driver kept going. At this point, one risky decision had turned into an increasingly dangerous pursuit. The trooper performed a second PIT maneuver causing the Honda to overturn and finally bringing the pursuit to an end. Officers quickly approached and detained the driver, later identified as Elias Yeras Burgos. >> [clears throat] >> Burgos and his female passenger were checked by emergency personnel with no serious injuries reported. Burgos was taken into custody for fleeing to elude and was also cited for his involvement in the street takeover. A shortcut to escape police had only created a much longer road of consequences. On April 8th, 2025 at about 3:20 p.m. in Orlando, Florida, USA, an FHP trooper clocked a tan Chevrolet Malibu at 91 mph in a 60 mph zone on Interstate 4. When the trooper activated his lights and siren, the driver accelerated instead of stopping. The Malibu reportedly exceeded 100 mph weaving through traffic and colliding with three civilian vehicles before continuing. A PIT attempt briefly spun the car around, but the driver managed to keep going. What began as speeding was quickly becoming something far more serious. The pursuit finally ended at a parking lot on East South Street. The driver, identified as Tristan Steven Dixon, ran from the vehicle but was quickly apprehended. His passenger, Melissa Andre, was also detained after following officers' commands. >> All right, we need a priority. >> But the biggest surprise came afterward. During a search of the Malibu, troopers reported finding around 310 pieces of personal and financial information along with credit card records and other suspicious materials. Dixon subsequently faced multiple charges related to the pursuit and alleged misuse of personal information. A simple speeding stop had uncovered a much larger investigation, proof that one reckless choice can reveal consequences far beyond the road. On March 1st, 2025, at about 9:33 a.m. in St. Johns County, Florida, USA, troopers spotted a blue 2019 Hyundai Sonata traveling north on Interstate 95 with a license plate reported stolen. When officers attempted a traffic stop, the driver suddenly sped away. The Sonata reportedly reached 137 mph, racing along the shoulder, weaving through traffic, and narrowly passing other vehicles. Even after colliding with another car, the driver continued. What began as a traffic stop had now become a dangerous highway pursuit. >> I signal forward up 10-4. >> With assistance from the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office, troopers stayed with the vehicle until an opportunity appeared. A carefully timed PIT maneuver finally brought the Sonata to a stop, ending the high-speed escape. Officers quickly moved in and took the driver into custody before securing the scene. The dash cam captured the entire sequence, a powerful reminder that one decision to flee can turn an ordinary traffic stop into minutes of danger for everyone sharing the road. >> I'm going to put seat belt on you, okay? >> Yes, sir. >> In March 2025 in Collier County, Florida, USA, a trooper stopped a gray Toyota Yaris on Interstate 75 for reckless driving. During the stop, officers noticed the smell of cannabis, and a trained K9 was brought in to assist with the investigation. As officers investigated, the driver and his juvenile passenger suddenly jumped back into the car. A taser was deployed, but the Yaris sped away, reportedly exceeding 120 mph and weaving through traffic. For public safety, officers temporarily ended the pursuit. The escape did not last long. Officers later spotted the vehicle again on Bonita Grande Drive and used a PIT maneuver to bring it to a stop. Within moments, the high-speed chase was finally over. Both occupants were taken into custody. Officers reported finding 38 g of psilocybin mushrooms, 27 g of marijuana, and 110 g of THC wax along with additional evidence inside the vehicle. What began as a traffic stop had grown into something far more serious. A reminder of how one reckless decision can quickly multiply the consequence. Behind every flashing light, every pursuit, and every tense encounter is a reminder that one decision can change everything in a matter of seconds. These moments are more than dramatic footage.
