Police pressed her for details, exposing the lies, especially with her shopping cart still there. >> So, how'd you get all this stuff? >> I came here with this stuff. >> Uh-huh. You came in there with that stuff? >> Yeah. How you like to take a [ __ ] Damn. I get off the bus, take a seat. >> Okay. >> Where you coming from? Um, I was living from um off. Oh, for >> real. You state you live in Fallon? >> No. >> Oh, you don't? All right. >> At this point, Sam's Club staff arrived. They said she not only engaged in suspicious shopping behavior, but her attitude toward them afterward was also seriously problematic. >> So, um, our policy at the exit door is to check people's receipts. Most of the time if people bring in like their old cold or hot bags to put their stuff in, they'll use that bag, but they'll still unzip it and let us scan the items inside. She she got quite a few bags and she said she just came in to use the restroom. Um came out. Yeah. But then coming out and she got real aggressive with the lady at the door was cussing me but walking real fast and just came over here. >> You got to pursue charges for theft. Correct. >> Yeah. If if that's what she she did. But I truly feel like she was taking stuff from out of here. She got she got like four or five. She got four or five like 1.75 those gallons of Cheetos. >> Yeah. >> So you guys do got her here on camera stealing it. >> Yeah. I mean, no, we we caught her walking out. So we I can go and pull up the cameras from her actually putting the stuff in. That take time. >> Um but as far as us seeing her come out, yeah, she came right out and I all I want to know is you're pursuing charges. Yeah, that's all I want to know. >> Yes, sir. >> All right. If you want to stay uh >> I can go back a side of this way. With all the staff's statements and the woman's blatant lies, the police made their decision regarding the suspect. >> Hey, can you face that way for me? Put your head back on. All right. Can you show me plan everything to here in a second? Okay. Give me just a sec. Here's here's I'm I'm going to lock these cuffs real quick just a no ID on you at all by chance. Your name The name that you gave me is not is not a real name. >> It is my real name. >> Okay. You either give me the wrong last name and the wrong first name. Okay. You either spelled it wrong. I'm going I'm going to double check and see where Okay. >> Even after being arrested, she showed no shame for her actions. Instead, she remained calm and defiant. Gradually, some truths emerged, including that her previous identity was fake. So your last name is right >> correct. Okay, right. Mhm. >> Okay. Your date of birth is what? >> Mhm. Okay. That that name's not coming back. So what's what's what's your real name right here? >> My name is >> Okay. What's your last name? What is it? >> You're not you give me a fake name. That's not there. That's not true. I just checked your name and not getting nothing back. You got no formal ID ID on your >> I don't have nothing on me. >> Okay. I'mma tell you what. You keep telling me the fake name. I'm I'm going to add another charge for on top of that for obstruction. Like I said, I'm I'm willing to cut you a break right here if you give me your real name, but if you give me another fake name again, I'm I'm going to add obstruction to your uh your charge. Okay? So, it's however you want to play it. Like I said, I'm not trying to be rude to you. I I I got a job to do. You know what I'm saying? I know you're probably falling on hard times right now. I'll work I'll work through that for you. Okay. I'm going to cut you a break right now. Okay. So, you want to try this again? Give me your real name. >> I gave you my real name, sir. >> Okay. All right. >> The woman still chose to lie. Behind that brazen attitude, there was no sign of shame. Even after stealing the entire shopping cart, she would still have to face the full consequences of her actions. Missouri ID. >> I tried very nice. >> Okay. Well, we're going to we're going to take your fingerprints. We're going to figure out who you are. So, we're going it would it would be it would be much easier and would be a huge benefit if you if you're not telling us the right name. We we just need to know. But like I said, we're going to take your fingerprints. We're going to find out who you are. So, we just need you. We would just would really appreciate it if you gave us a real name or if it's like a wrong date of birth, something just, you know, Okay. So, Officer Ben's going to get that for you. That's your real name. >> Okay. What's your last name? >> Okay. What's your first >> S H A >> S H A >> N I K A >> N I K A. >> Okay. What's your name on this one? That's coming back. In the end, the woman was charged with retail theft. Even after being arrested, she stayed calm, defiant, and kept giving false information about her identity. No matter how confident one feels, [music] dishonesty and theft inevitably lead to consequences. Worse, the woman even tried to wield a sense of authority, but it was rooted entirely in her delusions >> from aing nursery home. >> Don't step, chill out. >> On July 18th, 2025, the police received a call from a store reporting that a woman previously banned had returned and continued shoplifting. As soon as they arrived at the scene, the police questioned her about it. Let's watch her reaction. >> Huh? >> What's going on? >> Nothing. >> Are you supposed to be here? >> Have you been banned from here? >> No, >> you haven't. >> No. >> Okay. >> I'm just going to grab your information real quick. Okay. >> Okay. >> What's your first name? How you spell Jasmine? >> J A Z M A I >> Z M A I N. >> Three. >> You're not allowed headphone. How come? How come? >> Cuz this is a tracker for the world. >> Okay. >> Don't cover you. >> Okay. All right. Well, just hang tight for me. Okay. >> Okay. >> Hey, we're going to 13 her. >> She's banned from here. She does have she does have warrants out of uh Cleveland for jaywalk. For j Yeah, for jaywalking, but she's banned from here. So, we're going to 13. We'll figure out if they're going to they want to sign charges or not. So, the woman was not just someone who had stolen before. At first, she could have easily provided her information, but things gradually [music] became more difficult. >> All right, Jasmine. >> What's that? >> He said, "I don't know how to." >> I said, "Okay, do >> Can you do me a favor?" >> Can you stand up for me? >> What? >> Can you stand up for me? >> What? >> So, by the time you're going to be under arrest, okay? Why? >> Cuz you are banned from here. >> No, I'm not. >> In our system, you are banned from here. I'm not. >> Yes, you are. >> I'm not stand up. >> Yeah. >> We don't want to make this any harder than what it has to be. Okay. So, you stand up and we're going to put you in cuffs. >> Tom B. I'm here. >> Okay. >> Tom B. >> Because they they advised you. I want to make sure that they want to sign the charges before we do this. >> Okay. >> You're not supposed to be here. >> Why not? >> Because they told you you're not allowed. >> Said you're not allowed. >> Not allowed. >> Not allowed. And we banned you. >> Her words became increasingly vague and somewhat delusional, but considering what she had done, it could have been a deliberate act on her part. At this point, no matter what she tried, the police had already made their decisions. >> Hi. >> So, listen up. >> So, this is sounds like an ongoing issue. Yeah. >> What is >> this? Now, you've been you've been here multiple times. Yes. And you've been arrested for being here. Yeah. >> No, I haven't. >> You haven't? >> No. >> Okay. >> I never been arrested for >> you. You've never been arrested before? >> No. >> Okay. >> All right. So, just so you know, they want charges signed. So, you are under arrest. Do you understand? >> I'm an arrest. >> Because you are not supposed to be here. I didn't. >> So, like I said, >> I'm not trespassing. >> Yes, you are. I'm not. Yes, you are. I'm not. All right. So, what's you can either stand up and put your hands behind your back or you're going to be forced to put your hands behind your back. Do you understand? >> No. >> You don't understand? Okay. >> So, go ahead and stand up. >> All right. >> We need two uh 32s for one male and one female. Both both are >> messing the cuff up cuz you keep moving. >> All right, we'll get it situated in a second. >> Yeah, that's fine. >> I'm going to take this lighter from your hand. All right. >> What's that? >> We're not ready yet. >> All right. Hold on. I'm going to adjust this other cuff for you so it's not super uncomfortable. >> Okay. And I'll u Nor's face now. >> Where do you stay at, Jasmine? >> H. >> Where do you stay at? >> Nowhere. >> You don't stay anywhere? >> No. >> Where do you normally be hanging around at? >> Where? You hang around here? >> Yeah. >> Even though you're not supposed to be. >> Why? >> Because you're banned. >> I'm not banned. >> Immediately after arresting the woman, a police officer returned to the store and confirmed the total value of the damage she had caused. >> Uh, how much? It was just these that she took. >> Yeah. How much? >> Like $4 something like$453. >> $453. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. So, one of your boss came here. I'll get the video footage of her actually taking this and all that kind of stuff. Um, and then being banned is anything else that did she take anything else that you know? She just like at the morning she also come but at that time I just told her get her from here or she's not she's banned from here. So she's both simply out but >> uh the evening right now when she come she just take there and she ask us. >> So whatever you do going to do we you call the police and whatever you have to do. >> Yeah. >> They can't do anything to me and all the things. >> Okay. >> Yep. So I'll just wait for your boss here. Okay. >> All right. Perfect. Thank you. ever. >> Returning to her, the difficulty she caused became even more intense. She showed no remorse for her actions and continued to spout delusional statements unconditionally. >> From my nursery home, don't step up. >> I'm a beef. I'm so It's not even funny. >> Listen, you got anything illegal on you? They might have missed guns, drugs, nothing. Cuz if it goes into the county, it's an extra felony charge. Okay? I don't want to see that happen to you. So, nothing illegal. >> I'm going beat it anyways. >> All righty. >> I'm going to beat it anyways. I was supposed to be in cotton. >> Okay. So, I'm going to put the second pair of cuffs on first and then we'll get that first pair off. All right. >> I was never supposed to be in cotton. >> Why was that? >> Cuz I was >> I was punished from that goddamn cop. >> Why? Cuz I did the red nose pit boy to his bed. >> Suck. >> I turned to a Virgin Mary and beat the living [ __ ] out her goddamn nose and punch your head her mother tiara >> cuz her wedding person is life. >> Mhm. >> And life shot is Dot. >> Okay. >> Her baby daddy. Cuz she never had >> Who's baby daddy? >> Daddy. >> Miss Bener. >> Okay. >> She never had a baby. gave her baby to me cuz I kept on hearing I'm wonder she had to have the baby to give it to you. >> I never died. I never died. I just turned into nature. Why? Why? Cuz nature got jealous. >> Cuz the only reason why I heard I'm wonder cuz it was my song got a ballerina too. >> At the police station the suspect's behavior grew even more erratic. Almost as if she wanted attention from all the other officers present. >> All right, we're going right through this door. I'm both people going right. I thought assist you got the bouquet park. >> All right. Walk up to that window for me. Face down. >> J chill out [ __ ] >> You think you stop? >> Shut. You're out. >> No. >> Yes. No. >> Yes. >> What the law? Huh? >> Cuz what? >> You said 72. >> What's going on? >> Nothing. >> Where are we going? >> What's open? >> All right, let's go. >> She came. >> Okay, I I'll talk. >> Yeah, I think there's a bonnet in there and then the jacket. That's it. >> The woman was charged with criminal trespassing [music] and theft. Habitual offenders may try to manipulate or distract with delusions and defiance, [music] but the law doesn't bend for theatrics, no matter how chaotic the suspect becomes. Worse yet, this woman owned more than 200 aliases just to test the officer's patience. >> Michelle. Michelle Austin. I know my name. I got several names. I don't just have one name. I HAVE SEVERAL NAMES. WHY CAN'T I HAVE MY BAG? >> WELL, GET YOUR STUFF. SIT DOWN. >> WHY AM I GETTING DETAINED? ON February 23rd, police approached a woman after receiving a report from the store that she was concealing merchandise in her bag. But things were far from going smoothly. Keep watching to see what happened next. >> Stop. What are you doing with all your stuff in the bag? All the stuff you're concealing in bags. >> I came with with bags in here. >> That's not what the LP is saying. >> I don't know. I haven't had any problems the whole time I've been here. I'm just riding around looking around. >> Okay. Well, they're saying that you're putting merchandise and stuff in your bag. Are you planning on paying for any of that? >> Of course. >> Do you have money on you? >> Of course. cuz I have cash on me. This uh some lady was following me around when I got here. >> Okay. In the end, she was charged with retail theft, providing false information, obstructing an officer, and disorderly conduct. Always be truthful and cooperative with law enforcement. If you want to spend the night in jail, you tell me. >> Okay. Well, I had somebody come in here and steal it. >> On May 10th, 2022, officers responded to a report from Walmart about a woman accused of stealing from another Walmart before coming here. I don't be in this store. >> Put your hands on your back. >> Really? >> Yep. >> Her arrest came from the trespass alone. She thought a scarf could hide her identity, but it only made her easier to spot. Yet, she still believed it was just about shoplifting and denied everything. >> Check the cameras cuz I didn't steal none of this. >> Can you check footage and see when she came in? >> Yeah. >> Real quick, >> cuz I did not steal this. I don't appreciate being accused of this. If I If I didn't steal, you can let me go or can you just write me a citation? >> Well, we'll discuss that. >> Yeah, cuz I didn't steal this. >> You with him? >> No. No. Yeah, it's fine. I'm not going to run him. >> No, no, I'm not with him. I just bumped them at the store. >> These are what, like 30 bucks a piece? >> $15.94 for these ones. But the underwear is like 15. >> Those are 15 bucks >> each one. Something like that. Or 12. Yeah. >> I'm not expensive. >> And it's not really expensive nowadays. That's not >> Do you want one or two copies? I need one copy. You have I need two copies. >> While officers were still checking the merchandise, a man walked up and casually admitted he had hooked up with the suspect before. What followed turned into an even stranger scene. >> Hello. >> How you doing? >> Are you with her? >> No, we used to hooked up every once in a while and I'd lost her number. >> Uh-huh. >> And then I saw her walking through here and I was like, "Hey, how you doing?" And then you guys rolled in. I was like, >> "Never mind." [laughter] >> Hey You had just seen her when she was walking this way. >> Yeah. I was just We were just passing each other. I was walking out. >> Uhhuh. >> So I was like And then you guys showed up. I'm like, "No." >> Gotcha. What was your name? >> My name's Sam. >> Sam, how you doing? >> All right then. >> Is she going in tonight? >> What's up? >> Is she going? >> Probably. >> Probably. >> It's up to him. >> He's asking, "Can I have your number?" >> Yeah. I told you. At least unless >> even when you get arrested, people still like, "Hey, man. She's single." >> I know, right? >> Guess certain people like that. >> I know, right? >> That quality. I know. >> Yeah. Job party for her. >> What's your phone number? >> Okay, we're going to be up there at Los. >> She was then taken to loss prevention where officers pushed harder for the truth because up to this point, all she had done was lie. >> Want to spend a night in jail? You tell me. >> Okay. Well, I had somebody come in here and steal it. >> Okay, that's better. You understand that? >> Yes. >> When? >> Cuz if you had somebody come in here and steal it, I want to know who did it. >> I didn't come in here. I didn't have them go come in here. So, they choose to come in here and steal it. >> Okay. Well, let's win >> about 10 minutes ago. 9:50. [music] >> Okay. Male or female? >> Female. >> Okay. Well, she look like you. Was she wearing a gray sweatshirt, pretty lipstick? >> No, she scrubs. >> I get Chica. >> The parking lot. >> I do not know cuz she she already has items with her. She just told me, "Hey, can you can you return this?" >> Who is it? [ __ ] name. >> Just tell me cuz it's just us. Let's go. >> Mona? Uh, you know Mona, bigger chick. No, I don't know Mona. >> She's a fatter chick. She uh Smiley's mom. >> Who's >> Smileys? She just got trying to figure I don't know her last name. It's Mona. I know her first name. She just got out of prison recently. >> Well, it's more than 10 minutes ago because from the time we make contact with you coming in here. >> Yeah, it was more than 10 minutes ago. It was sometime tonight, but like it was like between 9:58. I think it's Mona. I don't know her last name. >> She threw out another name, claiming that the woman had stolen the items and asked her to return them. But she had no idea the officers [music] knew exactly who that Mona was. >> Of Mona. Um, I've dealt with her. I arrested her and put her in prison. Um, it's not her mom either. >> Oh, I know. She said she's not his mom. >> But yeah, I put one in prison. At least the daughter did. She just got out. She just got out recently. >> She They must have gave her a court date because I know I put her in prison. She was on probation. She was dating some dude named Cherokee. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Yeah. And I put her in prison because she had 8 ounces of meth on her. >> Yeah. Exact same. >> Yeah. I'm got her. She confessed to it and everything. All right. Let's go. Yeah. That receipt. The cashier. Cashier's got your other one in jail. >> Yeah. >> Really? >> Yeah, because you conspired. >> So, sit down real quick. >> Really? You said >> Yeah, I did. But you know what? You conspired with Mona. >> I didn't know that she I didn't know. I didn't know she she stole that. That's a part. Oh, I know. >> What's a hipster? Those are the the words, right? >> Yeah. I'm going to jail. Really? >> Yeah. And you're trespassing. West Cargo. Those are the men's jeans. Can you just write me a vacation? >> No. Woolly brush. What is that? >> I don't know. Come on. >> I don't know. Thank you. >> Finally, the woman was charged with trespassing and shoplifting at Walmart. Trying to cover up wrongdoing only makes the consequences worse. Honesty from the start would have spared her from arrest and additional charges. Next, this woman turned what seemed like a simple yard sale into a chaotic and serious situation. >> I have a yard sale. Oh. [laughter] and they had more in the back. >> Hey, who's got a hop? >> On December 27th, 2023, police received a report from a yard sale about three teens caught stealing. When officers arrived, they swiftly apprehended all the suspects, even though the teens had tried to split up. >> Put your hands behind your back. Put your hands behind I don't care if you're if you're your kids. Keep your hands behind your back. Do not move your hands. >> If not, I'm going to take you to the ground. >> But if you don't listen to orders, then that's a fault. >> I ain't do nothing. I'm still >> Put her in handcuffs. Come over here. Take a seat right here. Take a seat. >> Hey, we got him. >> Hey, you got the other one? We got them right here. The two are right here. >> Put Stop. >> I'm not playing with you. Okay. >> I'm not doing. >> No. No. No. Stop. You need to stop. >> Keep trying to pull away. >> Stop pulling away. >> No one told you to go. >> You keep moving. Stop moving. >> Stop moving. >> Can I sit down? >> No, you cannot sit down. Sir, you being >> Keep moving. Stop moving. It ain't hard. It ain't hard. >> If I'm doing something. >> Given their age and behavior during the arrest, it was clear this wasn't their first offense. Even with additional police assistance, this suspect still continued to resist fiercely. >> Grab your arm real quick. We need to adjust this and lock this. >> Yes. You keep being >> I'm moving. I'm just trying. >> Stop trying to pull out of the handcuffs. two times. >> Stop pulling out of the handcuffs. >> I'm not pulling. I'm >> sir. I'm talking. How am I pulling? >> Go. No. >> How are you pulling me? >> Here. Let me put it to the wall. Let me put it to the wall. >> I'm not even Stop. Stop. >> I'm not even What the >> Stop it. towards us. Just face the wall. >> Where's your car at? >> Bring your car up. >> You keep saying stop moving. I'm not going nowhere. It doesn't matter if you're going anywhere. You keep moving. Stay still. No, you can't. >> Y'all being rough with me. >> We're not being rough. >> You don't have to push me. I'm not turning in. >> I'm getting it. >> Keep being robbed. >> Can you get it? He acting like I'm doing something. They own me. >> Just walk and get in the car. >> Let me get my shoe. >> I will get your shoes. >> You're being robbed. What you got? Sergeant real quick before we get put her in. >> You need to stop. >> The suspect's resistance showed no intention of stopping. She might have thought it would help her escape, but her next actions only added to her charges. >> Hey, who's got a hob? >> You got one in there. >> X right then. Just stand by. Trying to put a hole on it. You don't have to switch to me. Got it. >> No, I'm not because you're punching me. >> I got one. >> You're trying to elbow me. Stop. >> Got it. >> Stop kicking. >> Stop kicking. >> Trying to scratch my arm. >> I can't breathe. >> If you just relax, >> you can sit down. Good. Gross. Why so rough? >> Can I sit up instead? >> Yeah. Turn. >> Can y'all sit me up? >> Turn to your left. >> Can you get me up? >> You have to help yourself. We can't >> leg. >> Tuck your knees in. >> Tuck your knees in. >> I can't breathe. >> Let's get on that side. >> Yep. >> Grab her. >> Grab her head on the bottom of the throat. I'm going to pull you there. >> There. You good? >> Can you fit me my feet? Shortly after, the other suspects were also placed in the police vehicle and officers collected information confirming multiple prior offenses. >> Starbucks napkin. Okay. >> Okay. >> It's okay. Is your mom going to be mad at you if we call her? >> Okay. >> I would be mad. >> We're just trying to figure out what's going on cuz we got multiple calls that you and your cousins were like in all these stores taking stuff. Okay. >> No, I'm not I'm not saying you are. >> Relax. Well, you did a lot of things. All right. You kick people. You try to scratch my arms. >> Relax. Breathe. Like you >> Well, you're not trying to let us sit you off. >> I'm relaxing. >> Look. Look. We're We're trying to >> I'm relaxing. You relax that. >> I got I'll handle dicks. >> We got to see the car has anything like you guys see anything from outside? >> What do you mean from video? >> Cuz they took a bunch of a bunch of shoes from J C Penney. They took a bunch of shoes from J Penny. >> From Nat. Yep. >> I'll handle >> I'm handling dicks. 99949. >> Oh yeah, that's that's a robbery, bro. That's a 40. >> She said she wasn't trying to stop the clothes. She got punched in the middle of it. >> How did it go? >> She said she was holding the items. She said, "Don't uh don't run out with them." Then the girl punched her. >> To further verify, another team interviewed the store manager about the incident, revealing that the entire theft appeared to be premeditated. >> Raise your right hand. You surrender for writing about tell me is the truth. >> Yes. >> So tell me what occurred initially transpired. >> Habitual female that I recognized from previous incident >> entered the store with two other juvenile females. All three selected merchandise. No. All three selected reusable bags. >> Mhm. >> And then they went to women's department and multiple departments selected merchandise. Sealed them inside their reusable bags. M. And all three of them, proceeded to the front of the store, pass a whole bunch of sales, and the store with merchandise in their hand. >> Okay. So, they kind of just like shopped around the store. Was it just all in the women's area? >> Women's tech [music] and and so forth. >> Okay. And as they were selecting the stuff, that's when they're like concealing or did they kind of gather it and conceal it in a different area? >> Um, they select and conceal. >> Okay. >> That's going and you noticed observe them on the visually on the floor doing it or on CCTV? >> Um, CCTV. >> Okay, that's fine. And um I know we're working on the receipt right now to get the total of everything. And did you want to pursue criminal charge in reference to the theft? [music] >> Okay, perfect. >> And you guys got a receipt uh going with all the stuff? >> We don't know what it is yet. >> All right. So, how'd it happen? She punched you? >> No, no, no, no. The store manager. >> She punched the store manager. She was coming up. >> All right, perfect. All right, ma'am. So, this is what we got in the back so far. Did you Did they take Crocs from you guys? >> Yes. >> All right, so these are a bunch of Crocs here. I got I still got to go into here. So, I don't know what else they might have taken. >> It's probably just all this that was in the back seat with them cuz I don't think they open the trunk. >> So, if you want to go ahead and grab all this stuff right here. >> Yeah, I'm going to open the trunk. There's nothing in this bag at all. There's more shirts here. >> Police found a large amount of stolen merchandise in the suspect's bags. But to their surprise, the discovery didn't end there. They were even more shocked when the trunk of the car was opened. >> Oh boy. >> Yeah. >> Oh man. >> Hey, is there another pair of shoes in there? Another pair of feet. Like a felies. >> Hold on. >> Oh yeah, there is. There's in the They're in the front. >> Bad. >> Yeah, we forgot those shoes. All right. She's going to be going over. >> All right. We have it, bud. >> Yeah, she's coming with it. >> All right. Old Navy. Hey, we need to go to Old Navy, bro. >> Got to send someone over there. >> My life. >> I have a yard sale. >> Oh, [laughter] that's And they had more in the back. They had more. >> Whoa. They're fully loaded. >> I think honestly this is all I mean, I'm not saying it's not stolen, but there's no tags on them, and it looks like they've been washed. >> Where's the Old Navy stuff? >> The Old Navy stuff. Any ladies? sweaters or maybe stuff sweaters. They change stuff like that. >> Well, I mean, we already got an ID. So, if you guys go back in your cameras and >> we have this camera, >> it was stealing from one one of our locations. >> I don't think that's one of them. >> Okay. I have more pictures because we share. Let me see. I can find more pictures. >> Is this the only Old Navy? >> No, there's some other sweaters there. >> Shortly after, the women were released to await their court summons. But just a few days later, it seemed the suspect still refused to accept the consequences of her actions. >> I do. You remember me? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> So, we got to the bottom of it. Okay. When all the commotion was taking place, the phone was placed on top of the >> Listen, listen. Listen to me. I'm trying to help you out. Okay. So, with that being said, okay, we've documented. What you need to do is call this number right here. >> What is that going to do for me? I DON'T HAVE A PHONE. LIKE, Y'ALL DID THAT. LIKE WHAT the I told YOU THAT HOW CAN Y'ALL DO THAT? LIKE HOW >> ARE YOU GOING TO LET ME SPEAK? >> I GOT EVERY RIGHT TO BE MAD. LIKE WHAT DID YOU SAY? >> I'M NOT SAYING YOU DON'T HAVE EVERY right to be mad. I'm trying to show you a way to get the phone. >> How to get my phone? >> Listen to what I'm saying. This your family? >> No, I don't know them. >> Okay. >> The woman was charged with shoplifting and resisting arrest. Resisting law enforcement only worsens consequences. Even if someone believes fighting back will help them escape, it adds additional charges and makes the situation far more serious. Even more astonishing, the woman returned to steal again simply by changing her outfit. >> Okay, now turn around. Turn around. >> Okay. >> Stop moving around. I'm pregnant. I'm pregnant. I'm pregnant. Can you stop? >> My arm. On July 18th, 2023, police were dispatched to Target after reports of a female suspect in green pants and a black shirt shoplifting and fleeing. But things took a surprising turn when officers arrived and discovered she had returned. This time wearing a completely different outfit. >> I can give you an ID for her. >> She's passing the lanes right now. She has a blue shirt on. >> Okay. >> Is that you earlier? Let the same go short. >> He's coming up towards the bathroom. Do >> you have an item? >> Mm-m. She just came in. >> Why did somebody call a shirt came in, grabbed the cart, >> and then said to Karen, "Oh, I forgot my she went out the front door." >> And she's back in. That's the same one that had the bicycle in the store earlier. There she is. >> She got a book bag now that she did not come in. >> Nope. >> She's looking for Levis's. They're gone. Now she's wearing a backpack and two shoulders. There she's leaving. back. >> Immediately, she tried to leave and officers quickly moved to block her path, >> but she didn't make it easy for them. >> Turn around. Drop the backpack. >> Okay. Okay. Turn around. Okay. >> Turn around. >> Turn around. Turn around. Stop moving. >> Stop moving. Stop moving. >> Stop moving. >> Stop moving. >> Okay. Can you guys not arrest me, please? >> Can you not arrest me? >> Are you serious? Can you not arrest me? I'm pregnant. CAN YOU STOP? YEAH, YOU'RE HURTING ME. YOU'RE HURTING [screaming] ME. STOP. >> STOP. >> YOU'RE HURTING ME. WAIT. >> I'll never come back. >> Give me your other arm. Give me your other arm. >> I'm pregnant. I'm pregnant. I'm pregnant. Can you stop? >> STOP. >> MY ARM IS PREGNANT. STOP. [screaming] >> JASMINE, STOP. >> OKAY. >> STOP. JASINE, >> I'm pregnant. Can you stop? Will you take me to deal? Stop. >> Okay. Are you taking me to jail? That's all I want to know. I was pregnant, sir. >> Cross your legs. Cross. >> Her resistance made no sense if she denied any wrongdoing. And it did nothing to resolve the situation, only making things harder for herself. >> Stand up. Stay right there. Stay right there. Stop moving. Stop. >> Stop moving. >> Stop moving. I'm going to tell you right now. Stop. >> Okay. Are you arresting me? >> I'm at the front entrance of Target. >> So, are you arresting? >> You're being detained at the moment. Jasmine, >> can I sit down? >> Front entrance of Target. Right there. >> Okay. Um, I won't ever come back. I'm sorry, sir. Okay. >> Sir, >> stay right there. Am I going to jail? Am I going to jail? >> Jasmine, stop. >> Okay, but am I going to jail? >> You're just detained at the moment. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Okay. I apologize. >> Am I going to jail, sir? That's all I want to know. >> You're just being detained at the moment. >> Can I sit down? >> Please don't take me to jail, sir. Please, sir. Please not take me to jail. >> Stop moving. Can you not take me to jail? >> Jasmine, >> I don't want to go to jail, please. >> Stop gripping my fingers. Stop gripping my fingers. >> Can you not take me to jail? Thank you, sir. >> Sir, Am I going to jail? That's all that I want to know. Am I going to jail? >> Am I going to jail? Am I going to jail? Sir, please. I want to go to jail. Am I going to jail? I'm asking you. That's all I want to know. >> Give me a minute. We're going to figure it out. Okay. >> Okay. >> Do you want to sit down? >> Sit down. >> Okay. Cross your legs. >> Okay. >> Stop moving. >> Even when she calmed down slightly, she showed no shame. Treating the situation as if it were trivial and believing that a little apology could change the outcome. >> Do you wish to speak with me? >> Um, sir. Sir, I apologize. Okay. I won't ever come back. I promise. Can I not go to jail? >> Front of Target. I'm literally right in the front of entrance stores. >> Can I not go to jail, sir? I promise I won't ever come back. >> I'm going to ask you one more time. I'm sorry cuz I didn't get to hear you. Having these rights in mind, do you wish to speak with me? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> All right, Jasmine. So, you said, >> "Yeah, >> Jasmine, >> we saw you on camera. You left here and then you walked back in and you got a backpack and you walked past these doors with a backpack. What were you doing that with that backpack?" >> Oh my. >> I'm sorry. I can't hear you. What did you say? >> Um, I put stuff in there and I apologize. >> You put stuff in there? >> Yeah. >> What kind of stuff? >> Um, just stuff so um just so I can get money to eat and stuff. >> I'm sorry, sir. I'm supposed to go to detox, but I won't ever come back. Please. >> Did you steal that stuff, Jasmine? >> I was going to take it. I apologize. >> I apologize. I won't come back. Okay. >> Okay. Right there. >> It turned out that her frantic behavior stemmed from not wanting to go to jail instead of rehab. Yet, her chaos didn't stop even as officers prepared to remove her from the scene. >> Please, you're hurting me. Please, >> stop. You're hurting me. You're hurting me. >> Let's go. You got to walk. Please, no. >> You're going to get a resisting charge if you don't walk. >> Please, I don't want to go to jail. Please, >> I don't want to go to jail. >> Jasmine, >> I don't want to go to jail. Please, please, please. I don't want to go to jail. Please, [screaming] PLEASE, PLEASE. I won't come back. I won't come back, sir. I won't go back. I won't get in the car. I'm pregnant. Get in the car. Actually, right. >> Get in the car. >> Please. Okay. >> Get in the car. >> Get in the car. >> Please. >> I swear I'm going to kill myself. I'm going to I swear to God. >> Stop. >> I don't want to go to shop. >> You shouldn't go. You shouldn't have choplifted. >> Please. I'm supposed to go to rehab tomorrow. Please. >> What happened today? >> Please. What happened today? >> Please, I want to go to Ria. Please say please don't take me to jail. >> Hey, >> stop kicking. >> Clearly, she made the situation far more complicated. Although she didn't want to go to jail, her actions ensured the opposite. And by then, any remorse came too late. >> She saw the jail that I'm taking. >> You're acting like you're not. >> YOU'RE TRYING TO I swear to God, >> you got to stop. Okay. >> Stop banging your head. >> No. >> I'm going to >> stop. >> I'm going to I swear to God. Please. >> Listen. Why can't we talk? >> What's your name? >> Huh? You won't even talk to me or you want me to release you. >> Please, I want to go to detox. Can you please release me? >> You got to talk to me. Calm down. What's your name? >> Jasmine. >> Jasmine? What? >> Please release me. I want to go to detox. Please. >> Well, hold on. >> Oh, please. >> Calm down. What happened here today at Target? >> I'm shoping cuz I have an addict. I'm so stupid. >> Hey, but what were you stealing? >> Um, these clothes so I could get something to eat and make sure I was well, sir. Please, can you just take me a detox? >> Hold on. Listen. >> I don't want to go to jail. >> I need you to take a deep breath. >> Please. >> Listen to me. >> Okay. >> Listen to me. Breathe. >> Breathe. Okay. Listen. All right. The suspect, a blonde woman in a yellow top, had slipped extra clothing and jewelry into her bag. But she had no idea that every move she made was already being watched by both the store manager and the officers. >> Those are her dirty shoes and those are our shoes. And then she concealed in her bag, I think, a a shirt. And I'm not sure he still has the pants on him, but I think she has jewelry as well. But I didn't see her. I But what I did see was that those shoes are ours. >> We got two more coming. Let's look into them, please. >> So, I don't know what you guys want to do. I know you guys are busy, so do you want to approach from the floor and just >> uh No. We're going to need to have her actually try to exit because at this point, she could try to say like while still going to pay. So, she would have to bypass all the points. So, okay. Okay. No worries. Start working. >> Okay. >> Try to see where she's at. She's in the back right now. >> Yeah. Hopefully, they're almost done. >> Through the surveillance screens, we could see how skilled she was. As she repeatedly slipped into blind corners to avoid being seen. >> I just didn't know cuz sometimes um when PD shows up, they're like, "Oh, we're really busy, so we're just going to go perch on the floor, get stuff back, and blah blah." >> But yeah, so I just never know, you know. Which one is that? I mean, we can hang for a little, but I mean, >> so >> so hopefully hopefully they'll be on their way out. I'm not sure. >> And it's just her so far. >> It's It's her. Where is she? >> Oh, there she is. >> You guys know who she is? >> No, I don't. >> I feel like I've seen that hair. [laughter] I mean, I if anything, have her on the shoes. Those are her shoes. So, >> we're just trying to see if she's going to have to try to do it. Like, >> where are her old shoes at? >> Right here. >> Okay. >> Where'd she leave them? >> She left them at the shoe in the shoe aisle. She like put them behind other shoes. >> Okay. So I said, "Well, if anything, I know she has stuff in that purse that belong to us, but I but that in fact like if I have anything and those are ours, so I have her on the sheet." >> With the swapped shoes, the woman did not stop her professional behavior. She noticed an officer nearby and then acted as if to erase all evidence of her wrongdoing. Every move had already been fully observed by the store manager. >> There's an officer out there, a GM, because they think they're going to walk out. So, but the gentleman's pain, but she has stuff. She has her shoes. >> Oh jeez. Some of these cameras aren't working. >> Just stay right there. One on 32 and it's a female with the yellow. But I have the police. >> Yeah. Checking out right now. They're heading towards the exit right now. >> She still has a female. >> At this point, the woman confidently stepped toward the exit wearing the new shoes, unaware that police were waiting for her. When approached, beyond her denials, her attitude was also strikingly noticeable. How >> you going, buddy? Are you there? >> You didn't even look at the pictures when I came here. >> No, no, no. We have your old shoes. We got your old shoes on your back. Okay. >> I'm wearing the same shoes I'm wearing. >> Okay. >> Well, we have your old shoes in the asset protection office. >> So, you're just detainer now. But >> I didn't eat on anyone's neck. >> No. What else did you do? >> Who? >> That's why he's in jail. >> Who neck? >> Valenuela. We didn't think I was naked. >> The woman clearly refused to cooperate at all. Even when she entered the asset protection office and saw her bag again, she showed no sign of surprise, revealing the full extent of her acting skills. >> So, they have you on camera swapping out your shoes. Hey, can I see putting items in your purse? Okay. >> Um I I didn't leave with that. >> Okay. No, I understand. We're not worried about that. >> I was using it as a shopping bag. >> Okay. Right now, is this you? >> That's fine. Can I have my tickets? Okay, we're going to get done when we're done. Okay, you don't run this. >> All right. Well, then are you going to sit with my daughter? >> No. >> You want to talk? You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can be used against you court. You have the right to talk to a lawyer. Have him present with you while you're doing question. You cannot afford a lawyer. One will be appointed to represent you for any question if you wish. You can decide any time to exercise these rights and answer any questions or make any statements. You understand? >> Am I being pro? Very now you are. >> I thought I was being detained. >> No, you were detained. But we have video. Now you're >> Yeah. Now you're arrested because we do have you on video footage swapping your shoes and trying to walk out of the store. >> It's a $10 ticket. Like it's a $10. >> Okay. Well, actually, I can't take you to jail. Okay. So, you want to talk about what happened? >> I just need your shoes. >> Okay. >> What's your name? >> Even more astonishing when the police checked her records, the woman herself was shocked to learn that she had a series of outstanding warrants. >> So, you're going to jail today? Actually, >> I have warrants for what? Yeah, >> I said shoplifting >> disorderly conduct, resisting, arresting, or evading an officer. >> So, whatever incident you had prior, you didn't show up to court. It sounds like >> they could just be simple FTAs. >> I've never had a Okay. >> Well, it comes back to your social security number. So, >> it comes back to my my name and social security number. >> Yeah, I ran you by >> I ran you by your social case in court. >> Okay. Regardless, you're going to have to get it in court. Sort that out with them. We're not going to hear anything to discern it. It's in your name. It's to your social. It's for you. Am I going to have a bunch? That's We'll find out right now. >> You sure you don't want to take your >> Yeah, those are cool. >> What's your husband's name? >> Joseph. >> Okay. All right. >> Have a warrant. Municipal back. >> Call my mom. She'll post my bond. Mom will post my bond. It's for some bull immunity. >> Resisting and uh >> disorderly conduct. >> Back to 2018. garbage. >> Do you have no stick for coffee, ma'am? >> No, ma'am. >> All right, cool. >> All right, then. >> The woman was booked [music] on a warrant and faced an additional charge of shoplifting. Remember, even small thefts leave a clear trail. Trying to act clever or hide evidence won't stop the law from catching up. >> Don't touch me. Don't touch me. Don't touch handcuffs. >> No. No. Don't touch me. Don't touch me. Don't touch me. Don't touch me. now, ma'am. >> Okay, I saw you shake your head. >> On July 29th, 2024, police received a call from Ross Dress for Less about a woman refusing to leave the store. They immediately arrived on scene and spoke with an employee who revealed that she had many actions that were far from simple. >> Hello. >> Where is she right now? >> Uh, she's back to the home section. So, she's been here um she's been here a few times and we kicked her out, >> but right now we tried and she's like, "You're being um discriminatory." >> Why is she saying that she black or something? >> No, she's not. >> Okay. Uh so, you've told her to leave? >> Yeah, I have. >> Okay. Uh >> and she's just like, "No." And I was like, "Are we waiting for someone?" I was like, >> "How about let's just let's just grab onto her, have her ID, and then we'll trespass her." >> Okay, that's fine. >> Cuz we did see some stuff that was in her purse, but we don't know if it's hers or not. >> Is it from your store, do you think? think we don't I think so cuz she came in here with an empty bag >> and now that bag's not empty anymore. >> She also did have a ton of stuff in her car and we approached her notice that like more than half of it. Yeah. >> Do you want her Do you just want her gone? Do what? >> I just want her out of the store. >> Do you want me to try to trespass her or just be like get out of here? >> Just Yeah. Get out of here. >> Okay. Do So you and I I just want to make sure I understand. Do you want us to go through like the official trespass process? No. Oh, cool. All right, we'll scare her a little bit. And just so you know, she gets one opportunity. So, I'm going to say get your stuff and go. If she says no, if she does not start going, she's going to go to jail. Just so you know. >> That was the police's initial plan. And when they actually approached the woman, she was truly suspicious as everything confirmed by her words. No ID and no intention to allow her bag to be checked. >> How's it going? >> Oh, I'm all right. How are you? >> All right. They want you to to get going. >> Okay. That's not mine anyways. >> Okay. >> So, what's in here? Do you want to show me what you have in there? Just make sure you don't have any rust stuff. >> Oh, I'm okay. I don't have anything though. >> Well, do do you mind showing me just just so I can look? >> I kind of do. >> Okay. >> But I don't have anything. I just have other stuff that I wouldn't really want you guys to see like you. >> Oh, that's understandable. Sometimes we have some privacy. What's your first You have an ID with you? >> Um, I don't. >> Okay. What's your first name? >> Julia. >> Hi, Julia. Nice to meet you. Well, Julia, if you don't if nothing's going on, we'll get you out of here. You be on your way and you can go on with your life. Okay. Does that sound like a plan? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. I really hope I don't have anything. I think I might have missed >> control 5241. Can you run a name, please? Is your idea to wash it organ? >> It's Oregon, but I think I might have um port Dave. I really hope we'll check. >> 14. Thank you. >> Yeah. >> I'll let you know in just a second here. Okay. >> Hopefully not. >> Okay. I really hope not. I don't think so. What was Do you remember what >> was the date? >> 28th. >> 28th >> of July. >> Yeah. 28th of July. >> Okay. >> We'll see. I'll let you know. >> Do you know uh what that was? >> No. >> The woman's anxiety grew and the difficulties for the officers began to emerge. Her attempt to flee subtly confirmed her wrongdoing and caused chaos across the store aisles. >> Julia. Julia. >> Julia, stop. Julia, stop. Relax. >> No. No. I take a breath. I don't have any breath. No. No. Don't Don't touch me. Don't touch me. Don't touch me. You're being put into handcuffs. No. Don't touch me. Don't touch me. Don't touch me. Don't touch me. Under arrest. Don't touch me. Don't touch me. Don't touch me. Don't touch me. Don't touch me. Don't touch me. >> Hey, let's lower to the ground. >> Don't touch me. Don't touch me. Don't touch me. No. No. No. No. Onto the ground. >> No. Don't. Get off me. Get off of me now. >> Arrest. Get off me now. >> No. No. No. GET OFF OF ME NOW. >> HEY, >> GET OFF of me. Get off of me now. >> Get off of me now. >> No. No. No. No. No. Get off of me. >> Extend your arm out. >> Get off of me now. >> Get off of me now. No. Get off of me now. Get off of me now. No. No. I got her in the hands. >> Get out of me. Now, >> here's what's going to happen, Julia. >> Get out of me. >> You're going to put your hands behind your back, okay? And we're going to put you in handcuffs cuz you're under arrest. You understand? >> Yes. You understand, right? >> Yes. >> Cuz this isn't going to get any better. >> You understand that, too, right? So, I'm going to release one hand. You're going to put it behind your back. >> Okay. >> You're going to lie flat on the ground right now. >> I got it. >> Can you get off my hair, please? >> Not on your hair. >> Well, you were. You were. >> Our code recover can slow down. >> Just need one additional unit. We have cuffs. >> Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ. At least let me take this one on the left. Yep. Julia, just so you know, so you can learn from your mistakes, I would The jail might not even have taken on your warrant, but now you're at now you're at a felony. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. >> If you paid close attention, her slow speech and dazed gaze were signs of being under the influence of something. And at that moment, she even admitted it herself. >> Just stuff. >> Okay. >> I swallowed something. >> You what? >> I swallowed something. >> Okay. >> You swallowed what? My pills. >> Your pills. What kind of pills are they? So we know what to tell the medics if they got to come take care of you. >> Can you speak up? >> You can't speak up. I don't know what kind of pills you swallowed. Like Advil or you talking drugs? >> Huh? >> Xanax. Oh, she says she swallowed some Xanax. So, we'll probably need AMR. >> It's going to go right out this door. >> This way. Put your butt in first. >> I have blues. >> Huh? You got blues? >> No, I have them. >> You had them? >> Can you put your feet in? >> Scoot your butt up a little. Sit up on the chair. All right, you got her. Yeah, I'll hang out here. >> Immediately after taking her into custody, police searched the woman's bag. And just as they had suspected, while at this point, she had completely lost awareness and showed no concern for the chaos she'd caused. >> What do I need to do? Um, >> uh, can you bring all this stuff in with the ROS tags and see if it's theirs? >> Yep. I'll check. Thank you. >> Hey, can we check and see if this stuff belongs to the store? Yeah, that does. >> Yeah, >> from this door. I guess it doesn't really matter. >> Yep. Ross, >> rings up. >> Ross and [clears throat] all right. >> Ma'am. >> Ma'am. >> What's your first name? >> Julia. >> What's that? >> Julia. >> Julia. >> Can I please lay down? >> You have name, right? Go. >> Can I please lay down? Feeling what? Uh, you're going to be all right. Lay down. >> Be out here in a second though when the air market gets here. >> Still awake. >> Hi. >> I hear you. >> The suspect was charged with resisting arrest, theft, and criminal impersonation. Following her arrest, officers found out that she had assumed a family member's identity to evade recognition, leading to extra charges of criminal impersonation. When speaking with the family member, they confirmed that the suspect had used their identity twice, which had resulted in warrants being mistakenly issued under her name. Using someone else's identity to cover up crimes only worsens the consequences, leading to extra felony charges and trouble for others. Even worse, the woman tried to use her pet as an excuse. Apparently, the lady I shot with him back in November. >> I have a dog at home. >> That's fine. With or without cuffs, the choice is yours. >> Are you taking me to jail? >> On March 5th, 2024, officers were dispatched to Target after receiving a report of a suspect actively shoplifting. The woman had already concealed items in a box and had been previously recognized at another Target store. Upon arrival, officers waited outside with staff, observing everything they discovered. for pushing uh loading her card up, pushing out um at the Hilton Head store. >> So, we recognized her when she came in. >> Yeah. >> And she already selected jewelries, a gaming headset. She put inside a container. She's selecting a few more things. >> Mhm. >> So, she's going to end up trying to push out most likely. Um one of our co-workers says she knows her from back in the day and apparently in >> Evet. Huh? Evie said >> she said female. >> No, no, no. She's slender >> the lady. Okay. >> Yeah, she she doesn't look that strong. You can probably take it. >> No, no, no, no, no. I know. I know somebody in the past, but >> No, she's a white woman, like in her mid40s. Okay. >> On gray sweatshirt, black pants. >> I like the outfit, but not her. >> Um, but she's my buddy's going to let me know when she's like headed out cuz if she >> for some weird reason ends up paying for anything, I don't want to stop her, you know, unlock. Apparently, this lady I shot with him back in November grabbed her exhusband's girlfriend and tried to put her in her car. Yeah. What? Take her. I don't know if she was trying to kidnap her. Apparently, she tried to handcuff her. I don't know the the whole details of the story, but apparently she tried to grab her ex-husband's new girlfriend and try to handcuff her and put her in her car. The woman's reputation was well known to the loss prevention staff. At this time, she tried to leave with a cart full of merchandise. She was stopped, yet she seemed to think she could decide what happened. >> Hi. >> Hey, man. How's it going? >> Good. >> Now, we're going to detain you for shoplifting here. So, you're not going anywhere, but we're just going to check your box here. >> Sir, you don't have to detain me. >> To the AP office. Follow me, man. >> Just follow him, please. >> You I don't need to be detained. >> Yes, ma'am. You do. Please follow him. Please don't do this to me, >> ma'am. No one's doing this to you, but you need to follow him that way. >> Please. >> It's either you come with us without cuffs or with cuffs. >> I have a dog at home. >> That's fine. With or without cuffs. The choice is yours. >> Are you taking me to jail? >> You're being detained right now. You can be detained with or without cuffs. >> Are you taking me to jail? >> See you in detain. >> All right. You don't have to me. >> No, we just he could touch you. He can touch you. The woman was completely [music] uncooperative. Even in the loss prevention office, she kept making excuses and showed no intention of resolving the situation. >> I have a dog. I don't live with anybody and I have a dog at home that's going to have nobody to take care of him. >> You go help. Probably should have thought of that beforehand. >> I realize that. >> Am I being arrested? >> We don't know yet. Do you have any right now? You detained right now. You have an ID? >> I'm sorry. >> You have an ID. Driver's license. >> No. >> No. >> So, you driving without license? >> What's that? >> So, you were driving without a license? >> I don't have it on. >> You drive a license then. >> Huh? What's your What's your name? I have to figure out something to do with my dog. >> There's no way you can just sight me. >> No, no, that's not the way it works, man. I'm sorry, but that's not the way it works. That's not the way it works. >> My dog is going out there. >> Yeah. You see all this stuff? Huh? >> Yeah. Yeah. You can handle see the way this works. This is the way it works. You're 48 years old, right? You see all this stuff? You should have think about it. This is a huge store. They got cameras everywhere. All right. And whatever you were, whatever you took, they seen in camera. And whatever you paid for, they could tell whatever you pay for. All right? You see what I'm saying? Her naivity led her to believe that her please could help her avoid consequences. But instead, they only annoyed the officers as the situation was far more serious and time-conuming than she realized. All these cameras here and they got their property, they got their merchandise, their items inside the store and you, it doesn't matter what it is. And if you feel like you want to skip scan or whatever you want to do, >> they could I'm saying even if you skip scan, skip scan mean you're pretending like you're paying for an item. >> Okay. >> Okay. They could tell you exactly. Their video camera could zoom in on you. It could zoom right in on your on your phone, your credit card to see exactly what you're doing. Okay, we've [snorts] been here for like >> 20 minutes. >> 30 minutes? Watching you, watching you, watching you, watching you, doing all this. Come on. Come on. Come on, man. You You're too going for this. Come on, >> guys. I'm begging you. Please just let me go get my dog. >> I don't I don't see how that works. >> I mean, the unfortunate thing is the dog is caught in the middle of it, but you know, that doesn't change what you've done here. There's no >> there's nothing you guys can do to work. >> Correct. >> We have a case on you. This is not your first time doing this >> and yeah, there's nothing. We're going to get a total. They're getting a total right now for all the ink. Um, it's definitely over the amount. So, >> even after hearing all this, she acted as if the officers had ruined her life, showing no concern for the consequences or the losses caused. She only cared about how it affected her. I really am just because of my dog. I'm just concerned. >> I understand. I mean, if I were you, what I would do would make arrangements for your dog right now. >> That's what I hope that >> But I mean, in these types of situations, is it typically an overnight stay? >> Um, I mean, at this time, it could go either way just because it's 4:00. So, >> but like you said, for shoplifting, usually a couple hours, >> but I mean that's again that's a question for over at the jail. Ridiculous question, but the money that we make for the lamp box, do I get that back for Target? >> Yeah, you between you and Target. >> You can keep the box. You can put it in your car or we could issue a refund for the box itself cuz you did >> refund will be fine. >> You did pay for the box. We saw that. >> Okay. >> Um just not the content inside the receipt. >> Yes. Thank you. >> I mean, is it usually an overnight thing? I'm trying to make arrangements for my dog. I mean, I mean, we can't we can keep telling you the same thing over and over, but >> I know we do this a lot, I'm sure. So, what do you typically see? >> I mean, typically, do I arrest people for shoplifting at Target a lot? Not necessarily. >> So, um I mean, it could go either way. Like I told you before, you can ask it when you're out there. >> The woman was charged with felony [music] shoplifting. Arrogance and self-centeredness blind people to the real consequences of their actions. Focusing only on yourself never [music] prevents accountability. It magnifies it. Next, we meet this fancy woman carrying [snorts] nothing but confidence. >> And then she keep walking back and forth, back and forth, checking to see who's with to see who is up front, who is watching, who not. She has a picture of her back. >> All right, sounds like a good plan. You have ID with you? On August 16th, 2025, officers were dispatched to the Rainbow Clothing Store after a reported theft had taken place. When they arrived, the suspect had already fled, forcing the officers to question the employees to uncover exactly what had happened. >> Okay. So, tell me what happened. >> So, she came in with a rainbow bag. That's how >> So, she already had a rainbow bag. >> Yes. That's how they do it. So, we think that, you know, get sidetracked and say, "Oh, they're coming, you know, to buy something already and whatever." Uh-huh. >> So, she went in the shoe department and um I had her go around where she was while I'm at up front here >> and then she keep walking back and forth, back and forth checking to see who's looking to see who is up front, who is watching, not so I went in between the hallways there and I saw her putting stuff in her bag and then I approached her. So, >> orange pair of shoes, >> an orange pair of shoes in the bag. >> Orange pair of shoes. But I approached her and she I said, "Get that off your SM bag." I did tell her that. And she took it and she dropped it on the floor. And then she proceeded to leave. And I say, "You have more stuff in your bag. Give it to me." >> She has a picture of her from the back. >> All right. Well, >> from the back. >> From the back. Okay, that's fine. >> Did you see anything? Yeah, I was right there, but I didn't see her putting stuff. But I was there. Watch. I'm the one on the watch. She has a short black hair with a big yellow >> earring. Yes. Yes. Yes. Black hoop earring. >> Yes. And um black sandals. I don't know if she came in with that. She has black sandals with rhinestone on it. >> According to the employees, she seemed to realize she'd been caught. Yet she still stubbornly walked off with the concealed merchandise in her bag. Using the description they provided, officers began searching for her. >> We are trespassing. >> Also from Lantana Police Department. Okay. Right now we're just making contact with you. All right. >> So don't go anywhere right now. You've been detained. >> All right. Sounds like a good plan. >> Your ID with you? >> Can I have your name? >> Tamika. All right. It's a m 5 to one. She has a short black hair with a big ear loop earring. >> Can I have your name, please? >> Um, so I just gave it to you. T A M I K A. >> T A M I K. Last name. All right. One second. Let's do this. All right. We're not going to play this game right now. Okay. No, no, no. >> You're being detained right now. All right. >> I'm just asking questions. >> Well, I'm about to answer some questions. You got a middle name? >> I told the lady in the store that I'm not >> Do you have a middle name? >> Yeah, I put the shoes in the wrong box and she like, "Oh, put them back." I thought she touched my bag. >> I put the shoes in the box. >> That was the only thing I touched in the store. I went straight to >> She showed zero remorse. hands on her hips, denying everything. Since she just walked out of a fast food place, officers searched inside, suspecting she ditched the stolen items. Hey, >> can I get you for a second, ma'am? >> Can I get you for a second? >> No. What do you need? >> I need you to walk me into the female bathroom so I'm not walking down on anybody. I got to go. Whoever. >> Okay. >> Wow. What's up? Um, there's a lady who may have been shoplifting from Rainbow and we're just making sure she didn't stash anything in the bathroom. >> Rainbow. >> Yeah, the uh the clothing shop over there next. >> Hello. She was fine. >> Yeah, she's we've got her outside. We just got to make sure she outside, officers checked her bag and found the reported stolen items inside. Yet with the confidence of someone who thought she'd won, she denied everything. >> Where'd you get these? >> From that store yesterday. That's what I'm saying. You watch the video. I came in. So I might have to check the camera. >> You got a receipt for it? >> Um from yesterday. >> If you can provide us with the receipt that you bought him yesterday, I'll let you go right now. But if you can >> n she I mean she didn't stop me. She didn't say like she said I was trying to steal. She caught me with some shoes. Not with nothing else. Like the camera should show. They got to give you evidence that I stole, right? So the camera should show that. I didn't go nowhere. I only been in the store like 5 minutes. Nah, I don't even have the um See, it's another pair of earrings in there that was worn already. They're in there loose that came off of that clipboard. You could tell obviously like I'm not just really taking off and on and [ __ ] >> The um the the sensor and stuff is already popped. I bought the best. >> How'd you buy the earrings? >> Cash. >> Cash. They gave you a receipt. >> Yeah. >> Do you have it? >> Um, no. >> All right. >> That's how they gave me the bag. I got the bag in the bag. You know what I mean? The store bag cuz illegal. I mean, it's legal. So, >> at that point, officers made the decision to take her in. Even in the final moments, she refused to admit anything, carrying herself with an attitude that showed she didn't care about a single thing that was happening. >> Okay. What's this brown stuff right here? >> That's a cigar, bro. >> I can put your receipt inside my hotel room. >> What? No, >> she got some stuff >> right there. >> Okay. >> Yeah, but I got a receipt here. I mean, it's going to matter. We going to jail or not cuz the other stuff I know down. >> Do you have anything else? >> What? >> On you? >> Oh, no. I don't have any new drugs or anything else to have y'all. Like if I buy the earrings again, do you think she'll be okay with like dropping charges? I don't mind doing that either. >> In the end, the woman was charged with pettit theft. Her behavior offered a clear lesson. When someone refuses to take responsibility, the consequences only get heavier. Owning your actions early is always better than letting denial drag you deeper into trouble. Even more shocking, the woman went to unimaginable lengths just to steal merchandise. >> Maybe she's crazy. Maybe it was a tractor so she could steal one of the >> she didn't pay for it. >> I guess you need to know that because my legs again. >> Excuse me. >> I want to take >> No, that's not what I wanted. >> On June 13th, 2024, police received an emergency call from Family Dollar reporting a fire at the store. When they arrived, the entire shopping center was in chaos with employees panickedly recounting the events that had unfolded. Oh yeah, somebody Okay. I don't have a Okay. >> You have the front all the front cameras. All the employees testified that the fire started inside the store, but none of them knew who had been there. This forced the police to review the surveillance footage themselves. >> This is the area right here. This is like kind of cut off at the top >> cuz that's the back. >> That's the camera that's in the back. >> Yeah. >> Oh, man. >> So, it's just looking at that back corner, I guess. Huh? That's where where it is. I'm just trying to see if I see clothes. We can go to the front. >> Yeah. >> To any of these. >> No, I totally get it. Are there any other camera angles that can be looked at forward? >> They don't have any on the on the here. They don't have anything looking forward. >> This isn't running already. >> Was it her and she did? She just kept talking. She could have been, >> you know, like maybe she was just, you know, being her and wanted to be around to come see her to see how uh >> how they act out. >> Well, she did come from there. >> Yeah. But we don't see her like >> I already see smoke there. Oh, and then that's she came from home. >> Yeah. And I already smoke. I didn't even realize it. >> Yeah. Is there smoke there already? I don't know. I don't know where you saw the smoke before. Yeah, I saw a smoke before, but he said this system is so horrific that I cannot even tell. It was a ghost. >> And this is a female. >> What are the odds? That's a female. >> Is that her? >> Oh, yeah. The female was the one that went to the front to show. >> No, but look at her. She goes back to her shopping cart and goes away. There. >> There. That's her. There. I think she's looking. >> I just want to >> She's looking. That's before she did it. >> She's still >> That's before she did it. She's looking where to go. >> You want to go to the entrance exit after? >> From what they could see, the police identified a female suspect behind the incident. Worse, they realized she had deliberately created the situation to facilitate her theft. At this time, the officers assessed the damage caused by the fire. Yeah. I mean, all this is damaged, but they're not. >> Yeah. But clothes, they have this this stuff on top of it like it's very flammable. >> And then she said that. >> Yeah. Somewhere around here. She comes from somewhere in the middle. >> Like after she leaves here, she comes over here >> and then then she grabs her cart. >> I smell I smell the tiki liquid here. She dropped >> because it's on the floor. >> She dropped it every Oh, there it is. It's on the floor. That's what >> Yeah, it's been dropped there. It was dropped off. Yeah, she was from that over there. >> Maybe that's where I ended, but it was already here then. So, that's a >> Maybe it was a distraction. Maybe she's crazy. Maybe it was a tractor so she could still pay for it. >> No, she walked out with no cart. >> The shopping cart >> and everybody was already been evacuated. one of the last people. >> Everybody was evacuating. She was still back here. >> She was like the same. >> I will have to go back to the video to see if in another aisle she started dumping everything in those bags cuz then she came up with two bags. >> Just 2 days later, the woman brazenly returned to the store. Still unaware she had been caught. But this time she was far from lucky. Don't resist and no force on the officer. All right. >> You're being detained right now for an investigation. >> You're letting me know. You have to let me know now because investigation. >> What kind of criminal investigation? So, would I buy more of my grand? >> No, you will not detain me because you are detained. You are not going to detain you. >> Wait a second. >> Okay. Because I need you to know your back. >> I tell you, this is what you want, brother. I want to get >> No, that's not what I wanted. >> That's That's what you asked for. She don't put no handcuffs on me cuz my >> handcuffs on you. Be nice with you. >> They were trying to be nice with you. >> Okay. Well, >> she flaunted her rights after causing the incident, [snorts] showing no regard for its seriousness. Even when taken to the police station, she displayed no remorse whatsoever. >> All right. So, I am here to be your chauffeur. Okay. Just I just ask that you give me five stars after we finish everything. Just give me five stars. That's all I ask. All right. Let me take those bad boys off of you. Thank you so much. Which is this one here, right? Okay. Okay. Let's go. Let's get out of here. My petty. >> Huh? Take your petty. So listen, they got you all set in the storm fire. >> Then the camera li the camera got you store something else. Okay. But they got good surveillance cameras. Very good.
