hi detective Steve berry here with you again from Hohokam Stadium in beautiful Mesa Arizona home of the Oakland A's over the years we've seen countless fans come here to enjoy the spring training games and enjoy the sunshine but some of them choose to bypass the crosswalks and JE walk across the street to try and get from here to here where the fun is hi I'm officer Brandie George the real tragedy that we see during spring training our pedestrians who never even make it to the game fans who carelessly bypassed the crosswalk and are tragically struck by an oncoming vehicle instead of being part of the action inside of the stadium some fans unfortunately find themselves watching the game from a hospital bed or worse unfortunately some fans pay the ultimate sacrifice and find themselves watching the game from here that's an easily avoidable tragedy use the crosswalks don't jaywalk there's nothing better than being in the stands or lounging in the grass at a spring training game on behalf of the Mesa Police Department we would invite you to bring your friends and family out and cheer on your favorite team and hey while you're here don't forget to check out our social media through the Mesa Police Department app our Facebook or Twitter feeds we simply ask that you don't jaywalk use a crosswalk and safely get to the game safe [Music] you [Music]
