GET on the ground. >> Do you understand each of these rights I've explained to you? >> Do you understand each of these rights I've explained to you? >> What did you say on this day? >> It ain't no goddamn Walmart bag in this mother. >> That's disorderly. >> He's wrong, sir. >> I never walked out the door. I mean, I walked out the door, but I didn't walk out the door with nothing. >> I didn't do push me out of the way. >> I didn't do I'm not resisting. I'm pregnant. >> You already did resist once I >> I'LL PUSH THE DOOR. >> THE law was created to protect everyone. Yet, some people exploit it as if it were their personal privilege. And even worse, use it to cover up wrongdoing. Once the police step in, they'll learn that crime never ends well. And now, let's dive into the moments when entitled Walmart shoplifterss got humbled by cops. What do you think about this story? Like and subscribe if you want us to release more videos like this. Starting with this case, these women would rather be mocking than feel remorse for their crimes. >> Let me catch my breath. >> Stand right there. >> I'm standing. >> No, you're not. You're turning. Stop. >> Get off THE GROUND. >> DON'T TAKE ME. >> GET ON THE GROUND. GET ON the ground. >> I get on the ground. >> I'll get on the ground. >> On May 31st, 2024, police in Florida responded to a report of a theft at a liquor store. The suspect was believed to have fled in a white vehicle. After tracking the car, officers approached it. And at first, the woman seemed cooperative, but things quickly took a surprising turn. >> Do you want to actually 10:22? >> Hello. >> Hi. >> Hey, can you stay in the car for me? >> I believe I'm 1012. >> Ma'am, do you have your driver's license? >> She have hers. >> Yep. That's who I was talking to. >> STOP. STOP. THEY'RE FLEEING. THEY'RE FLEEING. >> BUT QUICKLY, the police caught up and the suspects fled on foot, disappearing into a residential neighborhood. >> Get on the ground. >> 43 foot pursuit behind the residence. >> I WILL TASE YOU. GET ON THE GROUND. >> DON'T TASE ME. >> GET ON THE GROUND. GET ON THE GROUND. >> Get on the ground. I'll get on the ground. >> One cuss. The other one still running eastbound from this 1020. Get face down. Face down. >> Your hands ready. Roll in your face and put your hands behind your back. >> That was so >> We're on the west side. >> Correction. We're on the south side of the street and they're running eastbound. Shut up. You're not in charge. >> I know. >> Okay, then stop. >> Walk. >> You want to make this worse? We can make this work. Oh, yeah. >> Yeah. You're the one that's fled from the cops. >> I'm not cuz I'm not even with this. >> You were when I tried pulling you off. >> Yep. >> We'll get all that here in a second. Okay. >> The women's attempt to flee only made things worse. During the transport, the woman kept making repeated demands, creating difficulties for the officers. >> Wait, wait, wait. Hold on one second. >> My feet believing in all that. >> Okay. Well, then don't run from the police. >> I would never run from the office. I would never drop. >> What? It doesn't matter. You got out and ran from the vehicle. >> Not at all. >> You did. I told you to stop and kept running through the backyard. >> How? >> How? With your feet. >> I never made I mean never made contact with you. >> Only when I aimed my taser at you and told you to stop. Did you stop? >> There's everything on the camera. Yep. Standing right here. >> Let me I'm going to sit home. >> Stand right here. >> I'm never good for you. I'm >> You already did. >> But let me pee right quick. >> All right. We're going to walk We're going to walk around the other side and you can sit down. >> Hold on. I don't even want to get in the car right now. But let me pee right quick. >> All right. >> Hold on. Hold on. Let me catch my breath. I'll catch you. >> Stand right there. >> I'm standing. >> No, you're not. You're coming. Stop. >> Is it with you? >> No. Oh no, that's them people. >> Get in the back seat. >> I'm going to get in the back seat. >> You're going to get in now. We're not playing this game of you're going to do what >> get in. >> Give me a second. I'm I'm getting in. I'm not resisting you. >> Get in the back seat. >> I'm getting in. But I'm saying I have to I have to I can't breathe. Let me >> catch my breath a little bit. >> Get in. You can catch your breath while sitting down. Put your foot in. >> I'm talking to you. >> Put your foot in. 3 2 >> She insisted she wasn't resisting, perhaps [music] hoping the police would comply with her demanding requests. Shortly after, the other suspect, the woman who had driven the getaway vehicle, was also taken into custody. >> Who else was with you? Anybody else running back there? We need to know cuz you run through people. >> One's in my car, one's in the second one. Listen, ma'am. I'm going to take one of these handcuffs off right here. >> See, I came out with my hand as a mine. >> I wasn't here for that. All right. Just do me a favor. Put this hand on the car. Okay. Your left hand. All right. >> Yeah. As soon as I get it out of here. >> Yeah. I know. >> Yeah. We We'll um And then we jump over this. >> Yeah. I always >> You got You got this, man. There's a bunch of stuff back here. >> Probably get a warrant next to >> This is the second time they've hit it now. >> Really? >> They hit it. They hit it yesterday. >> Oh, they did? >> Yeah. Last night they hit Wind Dixie and then they hit it again. >> And what else? Cuz there's a bunch of stuff back there. >> I I don't know. Nothing else from our jurisdiction that's been reported. >> Did you guys see Did one of them grab the purse and keys or >> The only thing I saw were two girls running back there. I'm like, who? >> Okay. Cuz when I took her down, she dropped her purse and keys on the ground, but they're not there now. I think this girl might have gone back. Uh, it's right there on the trunk. Yeah. By this time, another team had arrived at the store and conducted a full investigation, confirming the suspect's wrongdoing. Yet, even now, both women showed no remorse or shame for their actions. They're walking right there. Take a seat. >> Definitely. Thank you. >> How long will responses take place? >> It's going to be a minute cuz there's two of you, but I'm going to bring you back to the PD and I'm going to have y'all sit sit down and then I'll take >> Okay. Can I stand outside if I prefer? Because I don't feel like I feel like I have anxiety and I feel like I have to >> custom. I feel like I have >> Well, there's a toilet in there. It's like a whole room in here. >> No, not you're not going to stay in the backseat of the car. >> Yeah. >> No, we said how long the PD now? >> Yes, that's what I was saying. Can I be able to stand outside? I'm asking please. Will I be able to stand outside because I feel like I I am going to pass out. I passed out in the other car. Well, then sit down cuz I don't want you to pass out. >> I'm going to roll down the windows and we're going to head down. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Right now. >> Clearly, their attempt to flee was a [music] deliberate act. Yet, they kept recycling excuses, claiming to be victims all along. Ironically, [music] when things didn't go their way, she became increasingly irritable. >> But can I stand outside until you better go because I >> I'm ready to go right now. I'm just waiting for you to sit down in the car. It's okay. >> You know, I never left. Bring him back to the PD. And >> you know I never left him. I just went on the side of the door and I just was standing there. >> What you should like this is this is crazy. This is crazy. This is absolutely crazy. >> All right, I'm going have you guys stay seated for now. I'm going to read you your Miranda rightites. >> Okay. >> And if you guys want to talk, I can talk to you both one at a time. No problem. >> All right. >> Would you be would you be so kind to loosen my my hand? >> Let me check them because it's >> This one is actually too loose. >> Yeah, this this this one is good. >> This one I can loosen up a little bit. Hang on one second. >> Do you understand each of these rights I've explained to you, >> ma'am? >> Do you understand each of these rights I've explained to you? >> Huh? >> Do you understand each of these rights I've explained to you? >> What did you say? I don't understand. Ma'am, did you understand the rights I explained to you? >> I'm sorry. I was on. >> Okay. I'm going to need you to pay attention. All right. >> What do you think of each woman's attitude? Innocent, playful, or stubbornly ignoring the seriousness of the situation. Either way, it doesn't erase their wrongdoing. >> Do you understand each of these rights I've explained to you? Yes. No. Maybe. So, okay, cool. I know I'm pretty loud, so if you guys want to play me like a fool, then we could just go to jail. >> No, I'm not. Wait, wait. >> Put your foot in the car. >> Wait. I'm I'm I'm going to put my foot I'm going to come >> I'm going to put my foot in the car. But are you able to get me in the car? >> Something to some kind of liquid, please. >> Water. >> I don't have >> What you see in this car is what I have. I don't have any water >> because I literally feel nauseous like I'm going to poke. >> All right. Well, let's get some wind in your face. >> Wait, wait, wait. H >> you're going to have a couple of criminal citations to sign. Are you going to sign them? >> What are they? >> For driving on a suspended license and aggravated >> driving on a suspended license, aggravated flea looting and reckless driving. >> My license suspended. >> Your license suspended? >> I didn't know. >> Okay. What you said? No. I didn't know my license. >> So those charges are going to have citations on them. What is it? I'm sorry. I didn't care because when you Oh, go ahead. I'm sorry. >> Your charges are the ones that are trafficked all have citations and they need your signature on >> one of them, but you sign the other, but you don't have no knowledge of the other one. >> I was signing one of them. >> Both women were charged with theft, fleeing, and resisting officers. While Stephanie also faced serious traffic violations, and neither showed any remorse or concern for their wrongdoing. [music] Trying to escape responsibility only makes consequences worse and showing no remorse never undoes wrongdoing. Next, meet this couple. They failed as [music] parents through their method of stealing. >> Trying to conceal merchandise. >> It shows me dropping it in the car seat. That don't mean that we trying to steal anything. >> Okay. What the >> Can you put them in a cart? Can you put them in the baby's uh baby [music] carrier? >> On February 19th, 2025, police were dispatched to Meyer following a report of a theft. The suspects, two people, were said to have become hostile with store staff after being caught concealing merchandise in a baby stroller. When approached, one of the suspects immediately denied the accusations in a tense tone. >> Hang up the phone, please. >> Huh? >> Can you hang up the phone, please? >> Hi. >> So, I can talk with you. So, I guess you and another male ran out the store. You guys trying to take something or >> No, nobody didn't take nothing. >> Okay. Were they trying to talk to you? >> He was talking to me. He let me go. He got everything back. It wasn't even nothing but a hat. It's a cohort head. Sorry. >> Okay. Where where's uh is it >> boyfriend? Husband? >> He didn't take a Yes. >> Where's he at? >> Pull it up. Yes. >> Ma'am, one more time. Hang the phone up. >> Yes. >> Until we figure this out. All [crying] right. >> Okay. >> Do you have a car here? >> Yes. >> Where's your car at? >> It's It's coming to him. >> Okay. Is it the male who took the car? >> He didn't take the >> Okay. But he took the car and left you guys. Is that right? >> No. >> I was in there shopping. He went to go get some food. That was it. That's how >> All right. You got your ID on you? >> Yes. >> It's in the car with my purse. >> Is that him right there? >> Yeah. I'm put my baby in the car, please. >> So, the woman was standing there with the baby stroller on the ground, waiting for the man to take the car and be ready to flee. And only after being approached did the man become tense at the accusations. This was truly suspicious. >> It's not a big job. >> What's up, brother? You want to park this so she can go get the baby in the car? >> I ain't stealing. >> That's cool. I'm just We're going to have a conversation. >> But you got a kind of a conversation for >> right now. You're being detained investigation. I'm being detained. Hey. Yes, you are. Right. So, let me just park the car. All right. We ID you guys. You'll be on your way. Just >> tried to pay for this. He didn't even want to let us pay for what happened. >> I'm talking to you. What happened? >> They trying to say I stole. I ain't steal. That's all that matters. I ain't steal nothing. >> The man's face clearly showed his awkwardness every time a lie slipped out. And with the woman's next story, it sounded as if a new script had just been made up. >> Really quick brief summary. Just tell me what's going on. Why are we here? >> The head. Well, we tried to buy it, but he act like we couldn't buy. He said police was here. And I'm not even trying to say no racist stuff, but he looked like he was one of them. You know, we black. So, he wanted us to say, I guess he wanted us to not pay. Just talk to y'all. >> Okay. So, you guys had a hat and you said you were planning on paying it. >> Yeah. Cohort. The cohort hat. I don't know if you know this what it is, but it's cohort. >> Cohort. Yeah. >> Put it back. He He got it. >> Okay. Did you guys have a cart or anything or were you just >> cash? You pay cash? >> Uh like push grocery cart. That's what I'm saying. >> Oh yeah. >> Okay. So you guys had a grocery cart, whatever. >> We was going I was going to shop. >> They ain't got nothing I see. But like that's it. That's all. >> The woman told her story as if they were victims of racism by the staff. Yet inside another officer was given a completely different version. One that didn't match her words at all. I picked them up right there in men's. Started watching them. Looked like they're concealing underneath the baby. Long story short, they did. Went to stop him. They stopped her, stopped her with backup. Went and he came back and start getting very hostile yelling. I'll just strip right here. I ain't got [ __ ] on me. A word I'm not going to say stuff like that. >> Okay. >> So, once we got like right here, she goes this pulls everything out cuz she's going to go and ditch it. And I'm like, "No, you got to keep coming with me." She's like, "I got to grab something else." I'm like, "No, no, no. Hold on. Finally, once we got right there, she just pulls everything out and walked out the door. >> Yes, these two. She's the one that committed the theft, she walked out with it. He was just selecting merchandise with her, but we picked them up and they were way back here. >> So, they select the jeans, the hoodie. >> There's some other things I can't remember off the top of my head. Jeans, hoodie that they put back. There's a white shirt, black jeans, two hats. I think that I believe that's it. >> Okay. It was a total of 11876. >> Yep. >> What is she selecting there? >> Uh, she was just concealing merchandise with the >> All right. Can you show me that again? >> Yep. >> Seal in there and then just conceal her like that. >> With all that evidence, the police could be [music] more decisive about their actions. And now looking at the man's reaction, it was clear he had no [music] idea he had already been found out. And he tried hard to act innocent. >> All right, Mr. Lord. Are you good if I [music] patch you down? >> No. >> No, you're not. >> He found me down for it. >> Well, to make sure that you didn't steal anything. >> I asked him did he want me to strip [ __ ] naked? He told me no. I was good. >> I'm asking you. >> Hello. >> So, you asked [music] me to search me because you felt like I stole. >> I'm going to pat you down. >> I'm not going to search you. I >> told this man. Battish under what? My bandit found in my band. >> No, sir. You were under arrest. >> For what? >> I stole? When did I steal? Where? How did I steal? >> You guys don't have to walk out with merchandise. >> Hold on. How did I steal? >> We're going to go over all that. Just >> hold on. How the did I just steal when I ain't had [ __ ] >> bro? What? How did I >> You were also not free to go. Okay. >> All right. >> Don't drive off. All right. >> He's going to go in the back of the car. I'm going pull up this cruiser. >> You just said I stole. >> How the did I >> You are not going to jail as of right now. So, do not drive off. Do you understand, Miss Ramy? Do you understand? Okay. >> Can I get in the truck? >> Just Just hang tight for me. All right. >> Walk over to my car over here. >> Y'all basically cut me up because I was hostile. Y'all didn't like that. That's what's going on. That's what's going on. Basically, just be honest. Y'all didn't like that. I was being hostile with the situation due to the fact I didn't steal. What am I stealing for? I have money on me. I asked him, "Did he want me to buy this?" He said, "No." He tried to make me go back there. I told him, "No, I ain't steal." Am I going back there for? And I walked out. So, how did I steal? Can you explain it now? >> I will. Can you go ahead? >> Well, I'm going to read you your rights first. I don't want >> I want you to No, I want you No, I want you tell me. What did I hear? >> Yeah, absolutely. What the [ __ ] >> What did I steal? >> In contrast to the man, the woman quickly admitted everything once the accusations were made, leaving her with nothing to deny. Ironically, the man also failed to argue his way out of it. So, he eventually accepted it in quiet frustration. >> You're trying to conceal merchandise. >> It [music] shows me dropping it in the car seat. That don't mean that we trying to steal anything. >> Okay. >> What the >> All right. So, that was the answer to your question. Then I asked him to buy that [ __ ] He said no. So can I go in here and buy this? >> No. Like I said, you're under arrest. >> All right, cool. Close the door. That's all it is. >> Got to get your seat belt. >> So from video evidence, everything like that, you guys are consuming merchandise, correct? You told me about the multiple hats. How many hats? Like I said, just keep working with us so we can work with you a little bit better. >> Yeah, >> he's going to jail. >> So as of right now for that. >> Okay. I said the camera footage, we're still going on it. Okay. Our policy is we usually take two like people who get charged with that to jail. Okay. We're trying to work with you so you don't go tonight and give you a court date. But I would prefer to get your side of the story a little bit better now. Okay. That way we don't have to take him take you and your baby needs to get picked up by somebody else. >> We took a couple of items, but we put it back. >> You got it all. You don't We don't have nothing. >> Okay. You took a couple items. Were you planning on paying for them? >> Yes. He was going to pay for some. >> And where did you put those items at that you were planning on playing? >> He got them. I told you I gave it to him >> when you first picked them up. Where did you put them at? >> Did you put them in a cart? Did you put them in the baby's uh baby carrier? >> Baby carrier. But we we don't I used it as the cart, you know. >> We got He got everything. >> You put it underneath the baby? On top of the baby? >> On top? >> On top. Okay. Were there any other items? But your intent was to steal them. It did not work that way. You put them out and you guys did not walk out with any clothing. Correct. >> In the end, both the man and the woman were charged with theft. Never use your children as a cover for wrongdoing. When you exploit them to hide your mistakes, you [music] don't just break the law, you fail them as a parent. Next, another terrible parent. A stark reminder that good outcomes rarely favor those who choose to do wrong. >> Why are you putting down his information? Well, because you were caught shoplifting with a minor with you right here. >> This is what we're watching live. Okay. >> On November 16th, 2024, police received a call from Target reporting a woman who had swapped price tags and underpaid for items. At the time, she was in the parking lot getting help from someone because her car had issues. Officers approached her. Let's see what happened next. >> Jessica, hey, I need to talk to you. >> I'm just getting my car jumped. >> Yeah, this is going to have to wait. >> I just need to get my son home. Okay, this is going to happen. >> Follow me to my house. And then >> I'm not going to follow you to your house. So, thank these really nice people for attempting to help you. And if you still need help and we're done, then I can help you. Okay. >> Okay. >> All right. Thank you. >> Can you call my son's dad to come get him? >> Uh, we'll see what happens. Okay. So, here's the thing is we got called here. Target is saying that you were caught trying to steal some items from them. So, we're going to investigate that. And if that's the case, we'll go from there. If it's a misunderstanding, then we'll go from there. Okay. But right now, you are detained. You're not free to leave. If you try to leave, you will be arrested immediately. >> All right. You have a cell phone on you. >> It's dead. >> Okay. This is what I'm going to have you do. I got to move my car cuz there's a bunch of people trying to get out and stuff. I'm going to have you just come up towards the front of the store. Okay. This way you don't try to drive away or anything like that. >> My car is dead. >> That's a fair point. Okay. Um I'm still going to have you go up towards the front of the store cuz I'm going to move my car up there so it's out of the way. Okay. >> Here. Sit down. Why are you putting down his information? >> Well, because you were caught shoplifting with a minor with you, which means you're also going to be charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. >> What does that mean? >> So, basically, in the state of Utah, if you perform criminal acts in front of a minor, it's called contributing to the delinquency of a minor because it leads him to believe that that's okay to do. >> All right. Will you hang out with them? I'm going to go talk to them. >> She seemed completely unfased by the accusations and notably, a young child was involved. Even more shocking, according to the manager, it became clear this wasn't her first time. >> That's her [laughter] before. This is her. Um, we have that much evidence on her. Plus, this Okay. Um, I have not filed these yet. I was going to and thought, you know what, she's probably going to come in. I'd rather catch her myself. She came in. I caught her myself. >> So, well, this is >> we caught her. Jessica Twitch. >> Nine different incidents. >> Nine different incidents. >> So, this is number 10. >> This is number 10. Okay. >> Yeah. I'm sure you're aware of how like if we catch her, we'll address this one and then you do the online reporting for the other ones. >> Unfortunately, I'm >> unfort Yeah, [laughter] >> I'll be honest. I totally like it definitely puts both of us, but I mean, if I had to now do nine different reports on this, >> absolutely, there's more important things for you to do. It adds a big chunk to me, but >> I understand. >> I completely understand it. We want to cooperate with you guys as much as we can. So, [snorts] she selected a whole bunch of stuff. um went into the fitting room. Um, of course, we can't see what's happening in the fitting room, but when she comes out, she has the same stuff that I can reidentify what she went in there with, including some of the items that are that are in here. Okay, these gummies. Saw her select those. Most of the stuff that's in here, I saw her select >> and bag and tie this bag shut. >> And when she comes out of the fitting room, we can see that it's in there. Some of the stuff she paid the right price for. Most of it has been price switched, which is part of what she does. She got it. Goes and gets a clearance tag, tears it off the merchandise, and puts it on another thing. >> Next, the manager recounted a previous incident where he caught her in the act. It was clear she didn't care about her wrongdoing and even used her child as an excuse to try to escape. >> So, we stop her. She starts to come back in, stops. I'm like, "Nope, nope, nope. Just follow her." And I I starting to get the vibe that she's not going to hang out with me in here. We get her in here. I ask her, "Do you have identification?" "Yes, I do." I ask her if she's got somebody that can come pick up the kid because I know that we're going to be doing this and there's a really good chance that she's got history and probably not going home tonight and I don't want him having to go someplace really freaking scary. >> We'll figure that out. >> Yeah. So, I asked, "Do you have somebody that can pick up the kid?" She says, "No." And he's like, "Yeah, my dad." And she's like, "No, he's out of town." "Well, you have roommates." >> "No, I'm not calling the roommates." I'm like, "Listen, it's probably a really good idea for you to get somebody down here. I'm giving you that option to call somebody because I don't know where you're going to go from here, but I know that I'm going to be calling SGP. So, she then comes up with I've got to go to the bathroom, which we are. We have to comply with that, right? >> I can stall a little bit. I tried to stall a little bit. Said, "Hey, I'm just going to call this in. Soon as I'm done calling it in, we'll walk you to the restroom." I call it in. Let me have your identification. I don't have identification. Okay. Well, what happened to it in the last 10 seconds? So, I'm like, "Okay, well, we've got your name." Yeah. >> So, I told dispatch, "Hey, she's not being compliant. She's going to probably run." They dispatch you. I hang up. We start walking around. I'm like, "Don't do anything stupid." Before we left the stream, I said, "Listen, don't do anything stupid. I'm not I just have to go to the bathroom." "Okay, do you want to take him with you?" "Yes, I do." "Okay." I'm like, "Okay, great." She's going to beline out. I can't physically stop anybody. As soon as we get to the door, she goes out. I'm on 911. Let the dispatcher know what's going on. >> And as expected, criminals never get a happy ending. when she failed to escape, her car breaking down at the worst possible moment. And she created an utterly absurd and almost comical situation. >> I couldn't write a movie script with this in it. Luckily, that lady that was there is walking up. Do you need help? Yeah, I need to jump my car. And she starts jumping her car. I'm like, >> all right. Then I saw you and then I waved and then I pointed and then [laughter] I came in here. >> Perfect. Okay. So, we're all caught up on all of that. >> Yeah. Do you have a number for tonight >> for the dollar amount? >> Yes. >> I can try to go get it. >> Can you try to get me something? >> It's going to be a while and I don't want to make you wait. So, here's what we're going to have to do is >> Well, I could probably if I get a register going. If I can get one of these registers, I could probably get some of it at least. >> You yourself? >> Well, I can get Morgan to lock me in. >> Okay. Yeah. >> Here's the thing is if you can't give me a number tonight, it's not going to be like a make or break deal. It's a lot easier [clears throat] to say this person took x amount of dollars from Target or took x amount of dollars in Walmart. >> Well, honestly, with the history, the fact that this is happened multiple time, I'm going to take it to chill. >> Okay. >> So, like I said, >> I mean, I'm I'm going to guess >> even if it's a guesstimation from you guys, >> more than 500, less than a,000. >> I mean, what do the freaking vitamins themselves even cost? >> Those are like 14, 15. This is what >> 35 45 >> 28 with all the stuff that's on the inside. I mean I can thing she like layers stuff so that when she scans one there's five items. >> She didn't scan this. She didn't scan this. No, this was underneath all those bags. >> To further support the case, the manager also showed the police the surveillance footage. Shortly after the police had gathered enough evidence to take the woman into custody. This was the consequence she had chosen for herself. >> Go do that right now. >> Is that keeping you warm? >> Uh >> little bit better. kind of, but I still want to go to >> Yeah. >> Yeah. You're getting arrested. >> So, if we can get him in a car, if you're good with that. >> Yep. That's totally fine. >> Okay. All right. Are you Kimberly? Oh, hey, listen. She's right here. >> Okay. Hang tight here for a second. >> All right. Let's go. Okay. Face her. Place your hands on top of your head. >> Yep. >> Interace your fingers. She's just got some cats and stuff on her hand that I just saw. I don't really want to touch them. >> So Jessica, I'm going to search you real fast. >> That's money. >> So we're just going to we're going to count it just so you know what it is. That's it in front of you. And then we'll make sure it doesn't go again. >> Okay. So we got 20 30 40 50. 50. We got one 26 7 $58 in cash. And we got at least three quarters, some nickels, and some dimes. All right, they're going to recount it in the jail for you. Just so you're aware, I mean, you kind of know how this goes, but like if I miss something on you and you take it into the jail, it's a felony charge. Okay. The woman was charged with shoplifting and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Even when given the chance, some people will put their own interests above everything else. Dragging others, including children, into their wrongdoing. Exploiting those who depend on you only leads to consequences you cannot escape. In the next case, these two girls will show you how cooperation versus lying can lead to very different outcomes. >> That's that's they're wrong. They're dead wrong. >> It ain't no goddamn Walmart bag in this mother. >> On December 19th, 2024, police were dispatched to a Walmart after a reported theft with two female suspects attempting to flee. Upon arriving, officers blocked their vehicle and the suspects immediately reacted with tense attitudes. >> But I don't want him to He's not getting ready to blame me. >> And what he said you got on, >> right? Can you tell them to walk out to the middle of the parking lot and confirm if this is the right car? They can see my cruiser in front of it. They need to confirm that for me. I'm sorry guys. I mean if it's not you I do apologize but I didn't I don't have >> that we nobody had anything so >> he got anyway >> he does not know if that's correct >> and I'm I'm reporting them too. That's >> that's wrong they're dead wrong. >> I'm making a report. That's [ __ ] Okay, we'll go back up to the front. >> That for what? And he said he he don't that's that he don't even know if that's the right car. >> Listen, I have reasonable suspicion. He's given me a uh description. Two black females in a white SUV. >> And he described your clothes. Black t-shirt, pink pants. Listen, I have reasonable suspicion for you to go back up there and for him to either identify you or say you're good. If you're good, then you leave and it's done. And you can file a report if you wish. I'll give you my badge number, my name. >> It's not your fault, though. I I understand that if that man called >> clearly she tried to evade responsibility by portraying herself as a victim, showing contempt toward the staff, but the police held their ground at every turn as she matched the description given in the report. Exactly. >> Can I ask you this? What's your reasonable suspicion? >> Uh the the description they gave me in the white SUV. That's that's that's all I need. They say heavy set black female wearing a black t-shirt and pink pants and a white SUV. That's all I need to make you go up front. >> That's crazy. >> Okay. So, it's either that or I'm going to charge somebody with obstructing. Okay. So, I have reasonable suspicion. I'm not trying to escalate it. I don't I don't want to do all that, but can we please go up front and see? Absolutely. Okay. If that's it, then you're good to go. >> Tell OP that I have this car coming back up front. Need them to come outside and either identify this individual or release them. If that's the case, >> I'm not going back in that store. He can come out here. >> Okay. I told him to come out. >> [ __ ] >> It ain't a goddamn Walmart bag in this mother. >> Quit cussing. That's disorderly conduct, sir. >> Okay, that's that's okay. I can have you leave, but you can't be cussing. There's kids around. Calm down. >> Clearly, this woman hated being treated like a criminal. Yet, when the police investigated, she showed no willingness to cooperate. Even though officers had warned her that such behavior could lead to charges. >> I understand you're frustrated, but >> I got the information when they originally called in. It should be an Angela Dun. Hyan Diaz for a Signal 7. What's your name? >> I'm not sure what vehicle you're out with, but she does have a Jeep Compass in her name. >> Ain't no Angela. >> Wrong. >> Okay. Well, this individual >> want my ID. >> That's it. >> My name's not Angela. >> This This both of them loaded. Shoot them on out. >> They're wrong. >> Go ahead and step out. Turn the car in that car. Nothing. We got you. >> No. You're a liar. You are a liar. And you're wrong. My name's not Angela. >> Turn around. What am I? >> Get out of the car cuz I told you to. >> What are you arresting me for, though? >> Put your hands back. I'm going to tell you in just a second. Put your hands together. Yes, sir. >> Let's not make a scene. You ain't got to do all that. Okay. >> Let's just Let's just be cool. >> Yes, sir. >> I'm sorry. I'm not trying to pinch you. >> Can I I don't understand what I was shopping for. >> Both of them. >> She loaded a car with her. >> I was told to go. We're going shopping for We're going shopping for our kids. She said, "Get the car. I ain't got the car." >> I'm not hip to anything that's going on. >> And that's the thing. It ain't nothing in this [ __ ] car. And he said, "Angela. My name is not Angela." That's what she >> stand at that door and don't move. >> Of course, the driver was also suspected of being involved, but her cooperation in giving statements exposed some of her friend's actions and at the same time provided key testimony that helped clear herself. You end up clearing up. Can you come over and assist funeral searches? Turn around. >> Are you arresting me? >> Yes. Turn around. >> For what? Obstructing official business. >> Obstructing. >> Hang up the phone. >> They're arresting me for obstruction. I don't know. >> Put your turn your hand this way. >> I don't know. It's Walmart. I don't know. Walmart and coffee. I don't know. Bring your hand behind your back. >> Told me to come get the car. So, I went to get the car. She said she wanted to get some for the girls and for the boys and everything. So, she told me to come get the car. She told me what to look for. I went and got the car. I don't know. I came off. Do you have anything >> right now? You're being detained. Okay. So, she was taking some. >> No. >> Okay. >> But my my intentions, she said she she needed a ride. She doesn't have a car. So, we're supposed to be going shopping. Okay. She told me what to help her look for this. Look for that. Okay. >> When she got in the car, did did she make you aware that she had just left LP? >> No, I didn't know. >> Okay. Dixie, is this like an actual family member? >> Same. >> Oh, okay. Soon as she comes back, she can find you. Uh, there's nothing. >> 25-year-old female speed is bad. Okay, let's go to the front of my car. I'm going to take the cuffs off of you and you'll be good to go. Okay. You know, uh, Facebook, please. >> Sorry. Are you aware if she has anything on her? No. Do >> you know her still used drug? No. I've never seen a few times and I think I was at five years. >> Yeah. >> All right. >> Okay. Well, you're good to go. All right. So, I don't know. Maybe take more caution. >> Um, but where does she go? Like, how >> she's going to go to the Ross County Jail. >> So, it was clear that the other woman was the only one directly involved in the incident. She continued to defend herself with a story full of attacks on the staff with absolutely no intention of taking responsibility. >> I'm going tell you. So when I I was really actually looking for my little sister, but she had already went to another store. So when I walked out, I was standing there standing I didn't even make it out the door. So when I came there, I was standing at the door and I was looking like, "Is she outside?" I walked over by Subway. I was standing there. So then the white man jumped out. He came right there by the door and he said, "Hey, sir, lost for Vincent." I said, "I'm looking for my little sister." I said, "You can hold my buggy. I'm going outside >> to find my little sister." And he said, "Okay." He stood there and he watched me. I never walked out the door. I mean, I walked out the door, but I didn't walk out the door with nothing. >> Did you have items that they had to take back from you before you walked out the store? >> I didn't walk out the store. I left the The buggy was sitting right there. >> Okay. All right. So I it wasn't like I was walking out the door with the buggy. You know what I'm saying? I was standing I was see that second door right there, that last door. I was standing right there when a door opened. I looked out. Well, before I looked out, the man said, "Losts prevention." I said, "I'm not going anywhere, sir. I'm looking for my little sister." He said, "Okay." He I seen him do something on his phone. And I when I walked out this way, I was walking to the car and I heard him on the phone, but I didn't know. You know what I mean? >> Okay. All right. >> So, he was like, "Uh, he said, "I can't." He said, "I can't say you stole it cuz you didn't make it out the store, but I do still have to call the police." I said, "I wasn't going out the store." >> Okay. Well, put put your phone back in. I'm going to figure out what they want to do and we'll go from there. Okay. >> Thank you, sweetie. >> At this point, the police had worked with Walmart staff and were certain of their decision. Every lie the woman told only made things worse for her. Yet even now, no confession had surfaced. >> Stop them. They pushed past us. We were able to get the items, but we observed officer McCoy stopped him in the lot. However you want to word it in your words. Um, but I just need that to charge them with obstructing as well. >> You want me to get his statement and Justin's? >> It doesn't matter. I just need one to put to charge that. >> I just need one to charge them with that. And then you guys obviously want to do the theft, right? >> Oh, absolutely. >> Okay. Maybe a dollar. >> Oh, really? It's It's a lot of >> Yeah, it's a lot. They >> I'll do the theft for now and then I'll wait how we normally do it and then but if we can do the statement, I'll go ahead and put them in uh jail for the obstructing and the theft. >> Justin's currently. >> Am I going to jail? >> What cousin? Yeah, you are. You're going to jail. You're under arrest for obstructing official business and theft without consent for $735 or something like that. >> What did I obstruct? >> You lied to me at the end of the parking lot. Said it wasn't you. >> I did not. ma'am. >> Listen, cuz it was it was another it's another woman in there. >> Listen, that's that's her that's her court in the morning. >> So, what numbers do you want? >> Um c can you write them down for me so I can get them? >> I will do whatever you need to. >> Uh get tell her get my phone. >> I'm going to do one or two. I can't write down 30 numbers. We got to get >> I know you can't. I know you can't. Tell her to go tell her to go to my mom's and tell her to write my cousin Carlos's number down and um ask her is she going to come. Would it be okay if I just have her cuz I think she's thinking about coming and getting you anyway. So, can I just get her number for you and she can relay them over the phone so we can get rolling? Cuz I know them cuffs are uncomfortable. >> They're very uncomfortable. >> The woman was charged with theft and obstructing official business. Lesson: When you lie to protect yourself, the truth eventually surfaces and the price you pay becomes even higher. In the next case, Gen Z employees went to work at a store that had the items they [music] wanted to steal. What you doing? >> Don't Don't start. Just put your hand behind your back for me. Put your hand behind your back. >> You know why you're in handcuffs right now? >> No. >> All right. We'll just explain to you. >> On October 7th, 2023, the police received a report from Beauty Exchange and Supply about a theft that had occurred. And surprisingly, the suspects behind it were two employees of the store who committed it while on the job. Let's see what the manager said about this. >> I got two employees. I was recording and everything and uh the store work like more than $3,000. The two bags with bag Sunday employees. >> Okay. >> They still here. I called them to work with me extra hours to play with them. So they are in the store and got lock in. >> So I have recording everything. [music] >> Okay. Where are they right now? >> In the resection, but they have done anything. Anyway, >> they didn't take them out of the store yet, right? >> They took everything Sunday. But yesterday when I came to the store, I found boxes. >> So, they did take it. >> Yeah, they took everything, but they put everything on to to sell it. >> Okay. >> Yeah, that's why. >> So, what do you what do you have on camera? Like what? >> But how they bag it? How they the bag or how they put in the the car? >> And we have a sign at the back. We cannot leave, right? They live on Sunday. This way they just like did everything. >> Okay. >> So they got like nobody to watch us. >> Okay. You want to press charges? [music] >> Okay. >> It's worth more than $3,000. >> More than 3. >> The conversation between the police and the manager remained quiet as the employees were still inside the store. The manager even showed a hint of worry that they might try to run upon seeing the police. So >> it was yesterday. No, >> Sunday. >> Sunday. >> Sunday. >> Okay. So Sunday they were working. You saw them bagging up wigs. Put it by the door. I normally came. >> No. In the section they bag it. Some some they put some stuff in the other box. I have all the way. I wrote down the time. >> Okay. >> Yeah. I already >> Can we look at this recording? Should I look at camera? >> But I don't want them to run, you know, like >> but you know who they are. They have information. >> Okay. So like if they do roam, you just put a warrant out and get them another day. >> Yeah, I just have obviously have another deputy >> call stay by the old somebody, you know. >> All right. >> So basically there's two employees. >> Two employees. One name is Misha with the bl >> and the other name is Arian and she has in her feet. [music] I would say more than 3,000 just like 21. >> Based on that report, the manager even led the police straight to the employees immediately. Both suspects were handcuffed, their faces filled with utter shock and confusion. fine. >> You're just being detained right now. >> Is it okay? >> I get my phone. No, [singing] >> sorry. >> You got my phone. >> We'll get your phone. I'll hold on to >> my charger. >> Okay. We're going to leave everything here. We're going to take everything. We're not Listen, you're you're detained right now. We're still doing investigation. Okay. So, you're not arrested at this moment. Not going to jail. Not going anywhere just yet. But you are detained. >> Okay. What you doing? >> Don't Don't start with Just put your hands behind your back for me. Put your hands behind your back. >> Hey, >> don't start. Don't start. >> Put your hands together for me, please. I'm not trying. >> Hold on. >> Put your hands [music] back. >> Hold on. I could get a uh >> Put your hands Don't >> Don't do that. >> All right, then. Stop. I'm trying to >> handicap. >> All right. Well, you're making it harder than it is. Immediately after both suspects were escorted away together without a word of protest, silently complying as if they already knew exactly why they were being arrested. All right. Go to the first car. >> Do you know why you're in handcuffs right now? >> No. >> No. All right. We'll just explain to you. >> Can you feel that AC? You feel the air? Okay. >> All right. Hold on to yourself up front. Okay. >> If you want, you can get comfortable. You can lay back if you want to lay like you're on a couch. I'm just letting you know you're not >> I can't have you call anybody right now. Here's the thing. All right. Aren. >> Who? >> Your name? >> My name. >> Lameisha. >> Oh, the other girl was Ariel. >> Yeah. >> In the end, they were charged with grand theft. Lesson from this situation. Cooperating immediately and being honest can prevent escalation. While trying to hide or run from the consequences only makes things worse. If this mother using her child as a shield was bad, then meet this pregnant woman, too. >> I said I'm pregnant. Can you please fix the cuffs now? I'm pregnant. >> Hold up. >> If I said I'm in pain, I'm pain. Don't treat me like I'm George Floyd. >> On June 27th, 2023, police were dispatched to Target after receiving a report about two women stealing merchandise. When approached, both of them denied it, even though their actions showed the opposite. You guys just took from Target? >> No, >> we didn't take from Target. >> Yeah, they just called. You just stole from them? >> No. >> No. >> 9150. Copy 28. >> We have returns. >> Anybody got an ID on them? >> No. >> Okay. Well, they just said you took over 1,000 bucks worth of stuff from them. So, you got an ID? >> No. >> Give me a name. Lock your doors. They can't do that. >> Their merchandise. Buy it. This is not their merchandise. Lock your doors. >> Her repeated no, even denying that the items she was holding belonged to Target while refusing to show them to police. Morowix was extremely suspicious. That behavior led her straight to a charge of resisting. >> I didn't do push me out of the way. >> I didn't do [ __ ] >> You're not going to push me out of the way. I'm not doing anything pregnant. >> Okay. >> You should have made committing crimes when you're pregnant. >> I didn't do [ __ ] >> You're not going to push me. >> I pushed you. >> Yeah, you did. >> Ouch. I did not push you. I pushed the door and you hurting my arm. I'm not resisting. >> Stop resisting the whole time. >> No, I didn't. You didn't even grab me. That [ __ ] is hurting. And like I said, I'm pregnant. >> All right. Stop committing crimes while you're pregnant. >> Let me go. YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT I DID. I DIDN'T DO [ __ ] >> You're not being let go. >> All right. I don't have anybody inside. I'm just stuck. Don't even ask. >> Okay. Can you let go on the way out? [ __ ] >> Can you please let me go? I'm not resisting. I'm pregnant. >> You already did resist once. We're not >> I pushed the door. Can you let me please untighten this? >> No. >> I'm not going to be quiet. Can you I'm pregnant. >> Change. You hollering out. >> Can you please untie this? I'm pregnant. Please. >> No. >> I'm not resisting arrest. >> How many sets of cuffs you got? >> 45 location. >> One. where you're on location >> cuz at some point we're going to have to obviously fix them cuz >> Exactly. I'm pregnant. >> This [ __ ] is hurting me. >> After repeating no several times, she then switched to saying, "I'm pregnant." And clearly this difficulty for the officers did not stop there. >> Yes, it is, gang. Stop talking to me like I'ming stupid. I know what I'm feeling. >> Okay. >> Hey, uh, >> exactly. You just twisted my arm for me. Thank you. >> Right. >> Why? >> Why are y'all grabbing me so aggressively, bro? >> Y'all really going to piss me off. >> So, he he spoke with you already before I waited for him to finish before I had you walk over there. The uh people in the store just looked at you guys and said, "Yeah, they're the ones that were coming." So obviously you guys arrest for you want >> explain what's going on. >> Let me go. Um, we're obviously going to research and track down all this stuff. But is this stuff that she stole as well or did you guys steal this together? >> No. >> What What is all this stuff that's in the car? I mean, so I I I know that people don't just buy a bunch of shoes and clothes and just leave it in their trunk. You just don't they just don't do that. >> No, they don't. >> So, what where did this stuff come from to the best of your knowledge? Well, we just get a lot of this stuff out of her mom's house. Like I like she said she's moving. So her mom stayed not too far from here and we just like loaded this stuff out and then she wanted to stop at Target and that's where all this new stuff came from. Okay. >> This stuff has already been in the trunk. This is Yeah. >> So all obviously this stuff obviously was what you guys stole today. >> Yes. >> Um there's a TV in the back. Where'd that come from? >> That also from from there >> from where? From Target. >> Yes. >> Okay. So, so the t the TV is is in the back is from Target from today. She said >> from this Target here, >> right? >> Um, >> and I cannot put that in the car. >> You know, I'm not saying you did put it in the car, but uh she put it in the car. Meanwhile, [snorts] the woman in pink continued to express her displeasure in every word. >> Oh, yeah. But the bottom line is you knew she was stealing. >> Yeah. >> And you guys were together. >> I'm sure the video is going to show you both putting stuff in the shopping cart. >> Yes. >> Right. So, you both are going to have some responsibility, but again, the level of that responsibility is still up in the air. Um, depends on if you how many times you've been if you've been arrested before for retail theft, that matters. Um, I haven't, we can get into that later. Um, the level of your coop, you know, level of your cooperation, that matters as well. the state attorneys are are they're looking for reasons to um >> I don't want to say give breaks because everyone's going to be held responsible to some extent but um the level of which you're being held is is going to depend a lot a lot on you understand >> what do you want you were mean as hell from me >> that's what I was about that's what I was going about to say it look like I think that we all got off to a little bit of a bad start I don't like it when I see somebody it looked to me like you were struggling resistance with one of my officers I'm going to be completely honest I'm already caught.
