Look at what he's doing. He's hurting me. >> He doesn't have to hurt me. >> Look at what you're doing. >> What am I doing? >> Pointing at me. >> You're very, very aggressive. You don't have to be that. >> You don't want to walk to the park. You want to get tased. That's what we want. You want to be carried like a child. You want to show this to your son. GET ME OUT OF HERE. [screaming] WAY TO GO, YOU stupid pigs. You let the [ __ ] out. >> Some thieves believe they are truly smart, but their stupidity is completely evident in their actions. The police had to deal with every trick they tried. And of course, justice always prevails. All of these foolish antics will be on full display in today's video. When dumb shoplifterss [music] think they can outsmart police, our videos are created purely for entertainment and are never meant to humiliate anyone. Like and subscribe to support us. Starting with this serial shoplifter. Life dragged her all the way to a global trespass ban. >> Such a [ __ ] >> I'm going to be sitting in jail for a while. Life kick my ass. >> I just kicked my ass. >> On July 7th, 2025, police rushed to Walmart after learning a very familiar face had returned. The moment they arrived, she instantly slipped into remorse, as if she already knew this wasn't going to end her way. >> Did we have Did we go with you before? >> It's been a long one. >> So, they already give you a rundown what's going on, I assume, before they brought you back here. >> She admitted. Okay. >> Did I miss my board? >> I don't. >> Oh, you warranted. >> Um, >> do you have a driver's license in your purse? >> ID card? >> No, because they didn't see me in my ID. I I don't know why. I I waited and waited and I went to the shower and ask her if they had my ID and she said that she said it might. >> Okay. >> All right. Sounds familiar. Yeah. You know, you've been around me before. You know, >> you've been walking around this store for like two hours suspended. >> Says an act of 15 of this agency's name. [snorts] >> Yeah, I knew your name. You said your name. I knew you had more. So, I said your name yesterday. >> I wasn't sure if it was in July. I wasn't sure when my court date was. I don't know. I'm such a [ __ ] caught. I'm going to be sitting in jail for a while. >> She already sensed what was coming for her. Yet, she still chose to break the rules. In the moment she spoke about her past, the despair hit her all at once. >> I don't know. Are you on probation? Really? >> Yeah. >> Sit there. >> You're clear. >> Five point. If it's a fade to appear warrant, I would imagine we'll see more depending on what your probation decides to do. >> If your probation violates you, if Cheyenne violates you, then maybe it a few days longer or whatever. >> He's going to violate me. I just got a feeling he is. >> For petty death from two, three years ago. >> Why he violate you? Can I check it out? >> He didn't violate me, but I'm sure he's going to go the summons. I'll just direct charge it. >> Yeah. >> What do you say? >> Huh? >> What you say? >> Oh, nothing. I'm just going to attach the If they want show in the event they want charges, which depending upon what the value of the items you took were, they probably will. Then I just leave it for jail. I don't >> have to. She has prior. >> Ah, okay. >> And she years ago. >> Yeah. She was already got in my car, too. Give it to the prior Rachel. We're going to have to borrow you again. Um, sign the last one. So, but I'll go over it again for you. That's all Walmarts in the world. That's Sam's Clubs and the Murphy gas stations. >> The center then decided to ban her from every one of their stores worldwide. But it didn't stop there. The police had their own decision waiting for her. >> So, from my my standpoint right now, Rachel, just being upfront with you, you're going to go to jail on the warrant. Okay. >> Yeah. >> Um, sounds like you were barred from here previously from a theft, so you're going to be charged additionally with criminal trespass and then the theft of the items taken. Okay. >> So, my advice to you, once you get all this stuff taken care of, you probably ought to go to the hospital, get your knee looked at >> prior to prior to going in a store and trying to steal some clothes. Seems to be >> I don't have any clothes. I mean, tell you right now, there's plenty plenty of people running around town right now handing out clothes. Loads. And I mean, loads of clothes. I see them all over town handing out clothes on tables from here, too. I say the only receipt we have right now is for the popcorn that she's got there with her. And uh is that receipt in the bag? >> Yeah, there's stuff in the bag. >> All inside the bag. >> Yeah, some of that uh spray, makeup, stuff like the cans and stuff were taken in here. >> At that moment, officers and staff totaled up everything she tried to take. All basic household items, the kind she could have gotten without stealing, just like the police had told her. So, my advice to you, once you get all this stuff taken care of, you probably ought to go to the hospital and get your knee looked at >> prior to prior to going in a store and trying to steal some clothes. Seems to be >> tell you right now, there's plenty plenty of people running around town right now handing out clothes. Loads. And I mean loads of clothes. >> I see them all over town handing out clothes on tables from here too. I say the only receipt we have right now is for the popcorn that she's got there with her. >> And uh is that receipt in the bag? >> Yeah, there's stuff in the bag. >> All inside the bag. >> Yeah. some of that uh spray makeup stuff like or the cans and stuff we're taking in here too, right? >> Yeah. >> So, that's going to be hers. >> Yeah. We'll hang on to whatever. >> She's got some like steal shoes and buy a phone and steal gummy bears and buy a phone card. You know what I mean? And then steal steal clothes when there's when there's places out there donating clothes out by the metric ton all over chil coffee out of the dumpsters. >> Yeah. >> And not even not even out of the out of the Goodwill places, but people just handed them out on tables from their own houses. They're behind [clears throat] Valero almost every day. >> Clearly, hardship had never been a reason to steal on this scale. Yet, she still claimed her family issues were the force that pushed her into doing it. >> How old was your son? He's 13. >> You have custody of my >> Yeah. >> Where's your school at? >> Don't be dig into there yet. >> I'm not put my money in there. >> Okay. >> Southeastern. >> There you go. >> Yep. >> But the same shoes. >> Yeah, they're just dirtier. >> I got a hole in that be one for one swap for a new model. >> They just wore down a little bit. They wore down a lot cuz they can throw rocks to them like that. >> Just traded them in for a newer model. >> You was all over the store for must been 2 hours. So she limp like she barely walk. I said >> you wore me out. >> No, my knees like >> Why didn't you just leave? >> Hurt. >> On the surface, she acted like life had challenged her into this mess, not her own choices. And that mindset showed clearly in every word she complained about at the police station. >> Anybody like my mom and dad or dead? I don't have anybody. I don't know. Life kicked my ass. >> Life just kicked my ass. >> I feel you. I've been on my own. I've been on my own since I was 17. So I know I know where you're coming from. >> It's 40 now. >> Yeah. And even being a female, you know, these men like they expect things and I don't know. It's just it's messed up. >> [snorts] >> say that I would do it, but you know what I mean? Like go on the state, >> you know, and what I've been through. I've been through a lot and it pretty sucked. >> Yeah. >> And you have a kid. How many kids do you have? One, two, two. >> My oldest son, he graduated. He's working at FedEx. He went great. I mean, I've raised very good boys, you know. >> Good. I'm sorry, you need to help raising these boys, but I got to get my [ __ ] together. >> You just just got to get back into that. >> Yeah, I get back. >> The woman was arrested and hit with theft charges along with her outstanding warrants. Once you start blaming life instead of owning your actions, you trap yourself in the same mistakes. Accountability was the only way out, and she kept running from it. Next, we move on to a so-called family business where the main line of work was stealing. I asked you to stop. >> Stop. >> Okay. Sorry. I didn't realize that you were >> Well, actually, I've been eating too much. >> You eat? >> Close? >> Yeah. >> I was trying to get something decent. >> On January 3rd, 2025, police received a call from J. C. Penney about a family of shoplifters still inside the store. A married couple. The pregnant wife, their child, and the husband's sister. When officers arrived, they blocked the man's path. Let's see what happened next. >> Are you with somebody here? >> Your fiance? >> Are you? >> Okay. Do you have any merchandise on you? >> No. >> From J C Penney that you're not supposed to have unpaid for? >> No. >> Okay. >> Mind if we look in the car seat? >> Well, yeah. My kids's there. >> Okay. Um, so here's what we're going to do. We have reason to believe that your fiance >> Do not get on your phone. Don't >> No using your phone. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. >> All right. So, what I'm going to do is we're gonna have to take your baby out. Get your hands out of your pocket. All right. I'm just going to detain you right now. So, turn around. Put your hands behind your back. You are being detained. Okay. >> Yeah, we do have a baby in the car. I I'll double check to make sure it is a real baby, though. >> I don't I can't see that. >> All right, lift your lift your arms up. Just not so high up. >> We're going to take baby out. >> We're going to back. >> We can't keep him out here. We got to take baby though. >> So, do you want me to drive him there? >> Uh, yeah. Put him in the back of a squad. Transport him to LP and then >> Yeah. Where's Where's wife though? >> So, if anything, we can put him in the back seat. You'll be here with the baby. And then once we get the other Wes involved, we'll come back cuz I don't want to leave baby unattended in the cold. You baby. Is he sleepy? >> I thought it was a 94. >> Oh, he looks so cute. >> All right. So, his fiance has three bags loaded up. Okay. >> Met up with his sister. >> One of the three suspects were detained with no chance to fight back. And even the man's early denial completely crumbled once officers confirmed he had found the missing items. >> What's in here? >> Hey, a bracelet. >> All right. So, this was in his left pocket. All right. You're going to have to show me your receipt if you want that back. Uh, gloves. >> Those are mine. >> The tags removed. >> Detained. >> There's two. There's the baby and then Champ has the other guy. I didn't know that there was I I didn't know there was three. >> And then are we getting there? There's one or two left that we have. >> There's two in >> They keep trying to call them so they keep avoiding the doors now. >> One of them has three bags that has concealed items in it already. >> Sure. >> And then we found items are concealed with baby >> in the stroller. Oh, look. Carrie car seat. >> It looks like they're still trying to call him, so stand by. We're waiting for them. >> The sister suspect was quickly found, hiding behind a pillar she thought would completely shield her from the officer's view. And she made sure nothing about her arrest came easy. >> I got other stuff. >> Stop. >> I got other stuff. I'm not moving. All right. I'm a cop. >> No. Stop. Stop. I asked you to stop. >> Stop. >> Okay. Sorry. I didn't realize that you were rest. Turn around. Put your hand on your back right now. >> Okay. >> Thank you. >> I have my personal cup of perfectly fine. >> Walking with you. >> All right. Turn around. I need a physical handcuffs. Lock them. You want me to stay with her? >> Yeah. You stay with her cuz you're a female. You're with me. >> Well, there's two females. >> I'll stay with her. I'll grab your car and then we'll throw we'll put her in with all the stuff in the car. >> Huh? >> You search her well? >> No, I didn't search her at all. I just double locked her handcuffs. >> Search her well. I'll grab all the stuff and start getting her. >> You want me to put it in my trunk? >> Yes, I'll put it in your trunk. Yeah, just search her well. >> Uh, more stuff. Pepper spray. Turn around. Face the wall. >> Oh, >> and there's the bracelet. That was yours. Maybe. Maybe not. I don't know. >> I didn't ask you a question. >> Colia. >> Yes. Thank God. >> Moments later, it was the wife's turn. The instant she stepped out the door, officers took her into custody, completely unaware of what had already happened to the rest of her family. >> No, my ride is out here. >> My ride is out here. I wasn't trying to leave. >> Is she your sister? >> No. No. No. >> Okay. >> I wasn't trying to leave. Just follow him till you consist one female. >> I'm a double lucky. >> I'm going to have Officer Himenez, another female officer going to search you. >> All right, here we go. Thank you. Can you move her over here, please? All right. I'm going to put her against the wall here under this light. Give me a second. I'm going to zip this back up. Is that your baby? >> Yes. Why? Is the dad with him? >> Yeah, dad's with him. >> Where's he at? >> Dad's also in handcuffs. He's going to be transported to the lost prevention. >> Why? Why? We can answer questions later, okay? But I'm going to have you get in this car, okay? >> Okay. Somebody's going to get the baby. >> Somebody's going to be with baby. Baby's going to be fine. >> Going to come get the baby. >> We'll figure that out. Baby's going to be fine. >> But I'm seeing my family's coming to get the baby. >> We're going to we're going to go to the lost prevention. We got to everything you want to figure that out. We're going to bring him back to the PD. Someone one of the three of you, we're going to sit with the baby. We're going to do round robin if need be. If someone else could come pick up the baby, that'd be even better. >> Okay. All the family members were finally gathered, though nowhere near underp pleasant circumstances. Every stolen item was laid out in full view, and the total value even climbed to $2,000. >> Yeah, we got this right. >> All right, I'll join you when we're Oh, that's heavy. >> Yeah. >> Can you get it? >> Okay. >> Okay. >> This one. >> Okay. All right. Excuse me. Jeans, you guys for sure. Arizona. price tags that >> uh jewelry you guys. >> Yes, but it was a >> sweater. >> In the sweater left pocket >> sweater left pocket. Sorry. There you go. diaper bag is shoes, panties, jeans, >> t-shirt, hoodie. >> You guys know that I'm going to have to take all these items. >> Yep. >> Okay. I'm sorry. One, two. >> Seven. >> You want to look in her first? There's like a tin foil in here. >> A tin foil. >> All right. There's nothing in it. There's nothing. Literally, it's literally a piece of foil. >> There's nothing in it. even look at it. Does that hurt your >> sensors? Never in it. >> Foil hurts your sensors. >> Foil to cover. >> So, it was clear they had planned their little theft scheme long before walking into the store. And it didn't stop there. Officers soon uncovered several suspicious items in their personal belongings, hinting at even more criminal activity. >> I don't remember this being marijuana. It's a broken pipe, but I don't think this is for marijuana. Okay, >> we'll talk about that later, I guess. >> Okay. >> Well, yeah, I just feel a little like, you know, you have to touch my boob like that. >> I can take off my bra. She's searching. >> But I can take my bra off. >> You stole merchandise. >> Okay, but that doesn't mean they have merchandise inside my boob. >> Yes, people shove merchandise and they shove drugs up their hoo-ha. I'm not gonna argue with you. >> Jennifer, please. I don't want you to get a ch Why do you put drugs in here? >> What's wrong with you? God damn it. There's white powdery substance. >> Yeah. >> Gosh. >> You guys lie to me. >> I I >> No, you guys lied to me. You told me it was marijuana. No, don't talk to me. What is it? >> Like a crack pipe or a meth? >> It's probably one of those crack pipes. Probably >> pipes. God damn. >> This is from here though actually this jewelry. >> Thank god powder or anything about to go off. I haven't looked at it. I'm kind of doing it till the end. What's it called? So there was drugs in the bag. So yeah, just letting you know. So, as soon as you pulled it away, I think it was this. And then I found white powder in there. >> And then she's got some of this. Verify like it's not there. And she has some earrings. >> But did they verify through the video? Like if I touched like if I touched it, >> why you asking me questions? >> I'm just wondering like Hold on. Hold on. Jennifer, is that jewelry? I don't know how much you had of you. >> Um, I have to go back on camera. >> Okay. If anything, >> cuz I mean he had jewelry. She had jewelry. My guess would be she was >> This family was overflowing with wrongdoing. The more officers dug, the more they uncovered. And it almost sounded like stealing was their full-time job. Judging by the way the suspects talked about what happened that day. >> Jennifer, what what happened today? >> I'm trying to get money. >> Trying to get money. Do you resell this? >> I can't get hired out of balance. Nobody will hire me. I don't have I don't have a way of making money except to come to J C Penney and try. >> Okay. So, you ain't got money. You ain't got a job. You're a felon. They won't hire you. You are out of your job, getting bigger, wanting to get new clothes. >> And it's because I seen, you know, I like I seen her. I just made I made a poor decision. That's all. >> You seen Jennifer? >> Me? >> Oh, yeah. >> Wait, what? Yeah, I'm saying I made poor decision hanging around with the wrong people like us. >> What about you? >> Yeah. We're broke right now. >> Where do you guys live? >> Diamond. >> Okay. So, you know, I normally started off with you, but what happened? >> Surprise us. >> Surprise us. >> First, we saw Jennifer. She was pushing one of our shopping carts. Uh, Jennifer made quick selections of at least 18 women's items. Tom. >> Tom. Okay. >> The the male had the baby. He walked over to men's, picked up men's t-shirts, took them off the hanger, placed them on top of the baby. >> Go ahead. >> Uh, Cad went into women's shoes. She selected a pair of women's gym shoes out of the box, placed them underneath her purse. Jennifer. >> Hi. >> They were all arrested and charged with organized retail theft, possession of stolen property, and additional offenses tied to the suspicious items found on them. When you turn crime into a family routine, the downfall hits everyone. Their case shows that once you normalize stealing, every lie eventually collapses and the whole family pays the price. Even more chaotic, the next thief pulled off something unthinkable against the police themselves. drink. I don't need to do it. You pour it in my mouth. He can pour it in my mouth. I really just need a drink. On February 23rd, 2025, police responded to a report from Nordstrom about a woman who had used someone else's credit card. When officers arrived, the suspect and a man had already reached the parking lot. But things were no longer simple the moment the officers approached. >> Can you just come stand over here, sir? Get out of the car. >> You're good. >> Just stepping out of the vehicle. >> Why am I being stopped? >> Laura, step out. Can you just step out? >> He's ask you to step out. Step out. >> Roll the window down. >> Step out. Step out. Step out. >> He's about to try to take off on Where you going? But mostly relationship. >> Step out. >> Step out. GET OUT OF THE CAR. GET OUT OF THE CAR. >> GET OUT THE CAR. GET OUT THE CAR. GOT TO GET OUT THE CAR. GOT TO GET OUT THE CAR. >> GET OUT. >> GET OUT THE CAR. >> HAVE NOT BEEN REVIEWED by the club. >> Her [snorts] act of reversing the car clearly showed her arrogant attempt to flee from police. And even after every warning was given, officers still had to use decisive force to stop her. >> Get the OUT OF THE CAR. >> GET OUT OF THE CAR. >> GET THE OUT. >> GET OUT THE CAR. >> GET OUT. Give me >> unlock the [ __ ] door. >> UNLOCK THE DOOR. >> TURN THE CAR UP. >> OPEN THE DOOR. >> START us more units. >> START BREAKING THE WINDOW. >> OPEN THE CAR. >> GET YOUR WINDOW PUNCHED. >> Get your window punched. >> GET YOUR WINDOW PUNCHED. >> SHE CAN'T GET OFF. SHE'S CRANKING HER PATROL VEHICLE. Get out of the car. Get out of the car. You [ __ ] idiot. >> Get the out. >> GET OUT OF THE CAR. TURN THE CAR OFF. TURN THE CAR OFF. Get out of the car. >> Whip out of the car. Get out the car. >> GET OUT OF THE CAR. >> All right, location. >> To her, the car felt like a final fortress protecting her and she believed that staying barricaded inside was the safest way. A choice that made it genuinely difficult for officers to pull her out. >> You're going to get sprayed. You're going TO GET SPRAYED. NO, YOU HAD MORE THAN A SECOND. >> YOU'RE GOING TO GET SPRAYED. >> YOU'RE GOING TO GET SPRAYED. >> GET THE OUT. >> GET THE OUT. >> GET OUT. Get out of the club. >> Around you anymore. >> Give me your [ __ ] hand. Give me your >> What the is wrong with you? >> I GOT HER. I GOT HER. I got her. >> Stand back. Stand back. Stay back. Stay back. I know. I know. Just saying. >> Okay. >> You might need a hook for the patrol. >> What is wrong with you? >> Get her up. GET UP. >> GET UP. >> We might need a hook for the patrol car. >> No, you're not getting you over. Do me a favor. Go sit down. Grab my phone. >> Right here for now. Just go right here. >> I didn't do nothing. >> I know you didn't do anything. >> I didn't do anything. >> No, I'm saying like I didn't take anything. >> It was a completely unreasonable claim because if she truly had nothing to hide, why would she try to run and fight [music] against the police? And even after all the chaos, she still showed no concern for how serious the situation really was. >> Save on my drink. >> You're not getting anything else. >> Let me give this not >> absolutely not. >> Go again with that. >> Oh, can can he have those cards? >> No. Are they all of her name on it? >> Oh, I really need a drink. >> Like, I'm telling you, I have mad health issues. I just need a drink. I don't need to do it. You pour it in my mouth. He can pour it in my mouth. I really just need a drink. There's one in my car. Whatever. >> I don't know what's in there, so you're not getting it. >> Okay. It's unopened. >> You almost ran both of us over. Now you want to ask for something. Where is the come? >> I was behind your wheel when you almost ran my foot over next to your pocket. >> Complain of pain. >> Complain of pain. >> My back. My chest. >> Yeah. When >> your throat hurts. >> I can't I I have really bad asthma. I >> You laughing, but she got Narcan in here. >> Yeah. Okay. With is a legal run. That's enough. >> There was absolutely no intention to cooperate from the woman. She cared only about herself to the point where even the man with her had to urge her to calm down so everything could be settled. >> I'm going to just go get checked out. Please. >> I'm not going to give it to you. >> All my property and your pop. It's all mixed. >> [ __ ] It's all my cigarettes. Please. That ain't my step back at all. In a minute. >> She just want me to grab my other stuff, my personal and my phone. That's it. My cigarettes. >> You'll get everything back that's yours. All right. You just wait over here. >> He's going to get his phone. Don't worry. He's going to get his phone. No, they just said they're not making all that stuff. >> It's the phone everything. >> They said, >> "No, don't do that. Go to the medical. That's mine." >> So stuff in this in this purse you're saying is yours, too? >> No, that phone. >> So the heroin's not yours. >> No heroin. I don't have no damn girl. You know >> the suspect was charged with obstruction of justice. criminal mischief, eluding police in a motor vehicle, resisting arrest, aggravated assault, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and the manufacturer or distribution of controlled substances. She also faced charges for forgery, credit card fraud, and trafficking, and personal identity information along with two active warrants. This case shows that running from the police only turns a bad decision into a disaster. Staying calm, cooperating, and facing the truth will always be safer than trying to escape. Next, this couple failed in thinking that fleeing home would make their theft [music] successful. >> Go inside and turn around. This is ridiculous. Stop busy enough. >> This is ridiculous. Stop. >> No. Way to go, you stupid pigs. You let the dog out. >> On February 9th, 2024, police were dispatched to a residential neighborhood after a shoplifting had occurred at Kohl's 2 days earlier. based on the exact match of a suspicious vehicle at the scene. At this point, police cautiously approached house. >> Lindsay's coming to the door. >> Hello, Lindsay. How are you? >> Is John available as well? >> Uh, what's this about? >> Uh, it's in regards to some things that happened at Kohl's. If you want to go ahead and step out here, if you want to yell for John. Um, John's not here. >> Okay. >> We have to have a conversation. Okay. >> Well, I mean, I just seen a gentleman go inside that fit the description. Oh, there's John. >> We just Hey, John. How are you? >> Working out. [snorts] >> How you doing, man? Nobody. >> So, before we do anything, just for everyone's safety, I know you guys aren't going to want to do this, but unfortunately, I just wanted to teame everyone for safety. So, let's go ahead and turn this way for me. >> Contrary to the woman's words, saying he wasn't here, the man stepped out of the door shortly after, which was recognized as a sign of their unwillingness to cooperate, and police carefully proceeded to detain them. >> Okay, we'll take care of it. How old is >> Yeah. This is just for safety precautions. Okay. >> What? for what? We'll go over here in just one second. Well, unfortunately at this time we're not going to do that. See, we have some information at Kohl's where you guys were in there and you proceeded past the point of payment, which means you guys have um are going to be charged with retail theft. Okay. That's why we read Miranda to you. You had the opportunity to speak with us. Regardless of that, I have enough um information and probable cause to arrest you guys for both of that. >> Um I might just I might >> We've got some surveillance footage. We've got all of that. Um, >> just sit down for a second. >> Yeah, if you want to sit, that'd be fine. >> Yeah. I don't know what this means. >> What does this mean? So now our kids are going to not be picked up from school. >> Do you have a number of somebody that we >> It's just us. This is ridiculous. So >> that was their reaction upon hearing the [music] accusation, showing complete disregard for the wrongdoing. And the situation gradually escalated as the woman began taking increasingly reckless actions. >> No, I don't have anything. >> Go inside and turn around. This is ridiculous. >> Enough. >> Stop. Stop. >> No. That's my Okay, then we'll walk to our car doesn't have to see it. >> I appreciate your cooperation. >> You don't want to walk to the car. You want to get tased? That's what we want. You want to be carried like a child. You want to show this to your son? >> No. I don't know why you're here. >> Stand up. >> I'm not standing up. >> I'm not standing up. >> Do you want to stay here with her? And then I'll just pull the car up. That works. >> And then we'll drag her from there. >> You will not because that's assault. You're assaulting me for no reason on my own property. >> You want to go for a resistance, too? >> No. I want to get Leave me alone, boo. You're not going to wrestle me. I'm way stronger than you. >> Yeah, you are. >> I know >> you are. So, you want to go for resisting, too? >> Sure. >> We need to call to >> I can't get my phone. How are we supposed to call her? >> It was clear that the accusations from the woman were completely unreasonable and did nothing to improve the situation. Even when being restrained, she refused to stop her actions, forcing the police to issue a strong warning. >> That's the only person I have. Get off of me. >> It's not happening now. >> Okay, I'm going back to my house because it's my house. >> What are you going to do? >> You're going to get tased now. >> You're going to get tased. >> Walk to the damn car. Don't hurt me. Why are you hurting me? >> You put your arm behind. I want to go to jail. >> YOU'RE NOT DOING ANYTHING WRONG. You don't have to be rude to me like this. I was just talking with a hand first so we can understand each other. You're hurting me. >> I'm not resisting you guys. >> The woman thought the police were being mean and how they treated her when she did not cooperate. Additionally, she did not understand why she was being treated that way after she had stolen items. >> My god. >> Why are you being [ __ ] up? I didn't resist you. >> Sit down. >> You're being mean. >> Oh, you haven't seen the >> Why? What's wrong with you? Why do you have to do that? And not all five of them were talking to you. >> Yeah. >> Me and my partner told you to stand up. Did we not? >> I was talking with him. >> Okay. I'm not telling I'm not asking what you were talking about. Did we tell you to stand up? Yes or no? I don't know cuz I was talking with him. >> Okay. So, when I came around after my partner grabbed you and I looked you in your eyes, I said, "Drop your bag." You dropped your bag or did I have to pull from you? >> Yeah. After he grabbed you, cuz you were under arrest. He He advised you you were under arrest. I advised you were under arrest. >> He grabbed me and then you grabbed me. >> Yeah. Cuz you were under arrest. >> But I wasn't resisting. >> It doesn't matter if you were resisting. You are under arrest, which means we have the right to use force to put you in handcuffs, >> which means we're allowed to touch you. We didn't have to. If you would have listened, if you would have stood up and turned around like we told you to, you wouldn't have ended up on the ground. >> But you did end up on the ground because of your choices, not because of ours. We don't want to take people to the ground. >> You didn't have to do that. >> Yeah, we sure did not have to. If you would have listened. >> You forced us. >> No, I didn't. >> Yes, you did. >> I didn't force us. >> You did because even after you curled up on that thing and knocked off my body camera, >> it was clear that the woman was mature. Yet, she completely refused to accept the police's [music] explanation, continuing to offer excuses to portray herself as the helpless victim. >> I don't know. I just seen his eyes looking at me really aggressively. >> Okay. Well, if you would have listened to him the first time he told you to do something, he probably wouldn't have had to yell at you. It works with him for a long time. He doesn't just yell at people for no reason. >> It's however you want to say it. >> Okay. >> He didn't have to get that aggressive. >> Okay. And you said you didn't do anything wrong today, correct? You said you checked out and bought everything. >> Yes. >> Okay. So, this is your receipt that you had when you checked out, right? >> Yes. >> So, you spent >> This is This is the one you checked out. Oh, this was that was okay. One small mistake could have led to tragedy. Watch how officers handled it. Hi. Where is he? Uh, >> he's still running around the store. He keeps running between out there to the back bathrooms, kitchen, knives, and then back to sporting goods. How old is this guy? I had to guess probably mid30s. Me and Ronnie tried stopping him. I want to say last month, and he actually shoved her into a the breakaway doors, knocked him off the track when we went up. Staff told officers the suspect had a history of violence once shoving someone to escape and he had very distinct identifying features. Minutes later, they spotted him. He bolted instantly, igniting a heartpounding chase through Walmart's crowded aisles. >> Yeah. >> Right here. >> Hey, [clears throat] come here. Stop. Stop. >> He's running. going towards assault exit. STOP NOW. Get his hands. Make sure he doesn't have a knife. Sir, >> are you okay? >> No, I'm fine. >> Get a hiccup on him. >> The suspect was taken down. But wait, this thief wasn't as easy to handle as they first thought. >> No. No. No. Get it behind your back now. Behind your back. >> I got taser. >> Yeah, >> I got it. >> Let me know why. >> Get in my legs. HERE. CLEARLY, this wasn't an action movie. Yet, this guy acted like he was invincible to the taser. AGAIN. [laughter] >> Stop resisting. Keep hitting your back. >> His hands out front here. >> Right here. >> Are you done? >> Stop. >> I'm sorry. >> You okay? Yeah. You okay, sir? >> Okay. >> Can you just hang around so we can get your name? >> It'll be a few minutes. >> Don't even think about moving. >> All right. You injured? >> So, we're rolling the squad up. Are you done fighting? >> Yeah. >> All right. >> In the end, after multiple taser deployments and a tense struggle, he was handcuffed and tech into the car. There, officers found surprises in his backpack. >> Do you have anything on you? I knew he took one of the cheap knives and then the knife that was in his hand. He was pocketing other stuff. I'm not 100% sure what it was. It was a lot of small stuff. >> Cheap knife. >> Sharpener. >> Scissor sharpener. I thought there was two knives. >> Well, there was one there. >> That big one? Yeah. This is that one, right? >> I'm not sure. The only one I saw was up against the >> I saw one very similar to that. I believe it was that one. Come crying. >> After searching his belongings, the suspect was taken to the hospital for medical clearance where officers used the time to question his intentions. >> Obviously, you're in Walmart. You admitted to the doctor before while I was standing outside that you'd been there shoplifting. Do you know how many items you grabbed or >> two? >> Two. What were you going to do with them anyway? >> I just took alcohol and a knife. >> Alcohol and a knife? >> Yeah. >> Okay. But what was the knife for? Okay. Is there is there somebody that's been coming after you or threatening you? >> No, I just grabbed them. >> Okay. So, the thing that I was concerned with honestly is cuz like I know you're homeless and I knew you kind of been through that rigger morale. The thought that I had in my mind is like you were going to resort to even worse crimes like robbing people. Was was that not not the case? You just more more concerned about protection? >> Yeah. >> It seemed his original plan was just to steal a bottle of liquor, but then he grabbed a knife in case he got caught. Luckily, no one was hurt by his reckless choice. >> Yourself at all with the knife. >> It crossed my mind. >> I would like to get you help for if that's the case. Would you be willing to talk to crisis at all? Obviously, it wouldn't affect what would happen tonight, but >> that's a that's a serious concern for us. I'm not saying stealing alcohol is not a big deal because honestly when you steal from the store it jacks prices up for everybody else and times are tough already and you know that but like stealing knife stealing weapon that kind of gets to a whole new level and it really like when I hear that going up to a call it makes me super concerned right off the bat. I prefer to figure out what's going on with you and get you the actual help that you need. So if you're willing to talk to them I'll call them. Like I said, it's not changing anything tonight, but like in the future, maybe you'll have some resources from them that you can actually kind of fix the problems that are going on and put you in a better situation. I'll give him a Officer showed patience, understood his struggle with homelessness, and gave him a chance to change, but this crime still came with a price. In the end, the man was officially charged with retail theft, disorderly conduct, resisting an officer, carrying a concealed knife, habitual criminality, and felony resisting causing injury. This situation is a reminder. One foolish moment can turn petty theft into tragedy when a weapon is involved. The price is always higher than what was stolen. Next, watch as officers deliver a surprise this shoplifter never saw coming. >> They weren't even my color. You know, you're just goofing around. I didn't mean anything. I took two samples. >> Brenda, I'm going to ask. >> Don't do this to me. Please let me go home. >> Nope. >> On December 20th, 2024, officers quickly responded to a call from Walmart about a woman walking out with cosmetics without paying. But once they approached, they realized she wasn't as simple as she seemed. What have I done? >> So, if you want to explain to her what? >> Real quick. So, right now you are being detained for suspicion of retail theft over at the Kohl's earlier today. Do you have an ID on you? >> No, I don't. >> Okay. [clears throat] >> Can I go use the bathroom real fast? I think >> not right now. Okay. >> Where are you coming from today? >> I'm just walking around. I just came from one of the stores. I haven't done anything wrong. >> I haven't done anything wrong. >> No. Do you Ma'am, you're not free to leave at this time. Who's >> that? >> You're being detained. >> Ma'am, you are being detained for what? >> You need to stop. >> Let me see. Let me use the bathroom. >> You stand. No, you're Nope. >> When officers stopped her, she quickly turned uncooperative and started making demands. >> Can I call my sister? >> We're going to give you a moment to call whoever you'd like. >> Well, why are you entertaining me? That's me. >> That's you walking out of Coohl's >> when? at 2 or excuse me 2:20 in the evening or the afternoon today. So here's the deal. >> I'm [snorts] going to ask you again for an ID. >> I don't have one. >> Okay. What's your name to me? >> I'm going to ask you. >> My name is Bri. >> Is that short for anything? >> Brenda. >> All right. >> She gave her name as Brenda, but when asked for ID, the woman kept dodging and insisted she was innocent. detained for suspicion of retail theft. They have you over at Kohl's here just up the way on video putting makeup in your pockets walking out of the store without paying for it. >> I didn't put makeup in my pockets at this store. >> I have you I have you on video makeup. I didn't take any makeup from that store. I want to see that right now, you know, and then I want to go. I didn't take any makeup from that store. I swear I didn't. >> Here's the deal. >> Show me the makeup. If any of that information that you me is false, that is going to be an additional charge for obstructing identification. >> No, that's me. And can I go home now? >> Not yet. >> I didn't take any makeup. I didn't take any makeup. >> I didn't. >> Like I said, my partner has video. >> I want to see the makeup I took. >> I didn't take anything. I used the samples. >> I need you I need you to >> No, but I'm I'm okay. >> Brenda kept denying it, claiming she only used samples and tossed them away. But her shifting story only made the situation more tense. >> I I some a sample thing I used, but I didn't take any makeup. >> Well, I have you on video putting it in your pockets. >> No, that was that that's this is a sample. >> The exact same clothes that you're wearing. >> It was a sample thing. >> You put it in your pockets, >> but it was a pockets. That doesn't matter. You can't. >> I thought you could. It's a sample. >> Okay. There's nothing on there that said they were samples. They were displayed. >> This is displays are samples. I didn't I didn't even keep it. I What? It was just I didn't steal like take stuff >> like like you know what I mean? Like stuff like that. I didn't >> Okay, go ahead. Hold on. >> I'm not going anywhere, sir. >> I No, we're done walking around. You stand right there and don't move until I tell you to. >> Yes, sir. I'm sorry. >> I'm so sorry. Could you please 10 9 >> I didn't know the samples were wrong and I threw them out. I did. They weren't even my color. You know, you're just goofing around. I didn't mean anything. I took two samples. >> Brenda, I'm going to ask you again. Do you have anything with an ID? >> I don't have anything. >> Do you have anything with your name on it? >> No. >> All right. >> Even when confronted with clear video evidence, police also discovered the tag still attached to her hoodie, sparking suspicion that she hadn't stolen from just one store. >> You ripped the You ripped the scanner off, but the tag still attached. >> I didn't write a scanner. This is not I didn't rip a scanner. This is mine. >> Look at the tags. Want me to show? >> I know. I see the tag there. But that's not that. That's mine. >> Okay. I'm >> I see that there. I have layers on today. >> Girl, I'm just saying you left the tag on. >> No, I didn't leave the tag on. It's not. It's just something I threw on. >> Okay. Okay. Okay. >> What are you looking for? >> So, according to Kohl's, she's got a Walmart cart somewhere where she was dumping stuff by a bush. She's wearing the exact same clothes that she was wearing at the time of the theft. I think that she's giving me a phony baloney name. >> The evidence was plain as day. Yet, she kept dodging, begged to go home, and even tried flirting with the cops. But none of those tricks got her anywhere. >> I'm just pacing, sir. I'm sorry. >> You might pace, too. You're handsome, though. >> Thank you. >> You're nice looking, too. >> Oh, well, I appreciate you. That's very kind. >> You've got it right here. >> Yep. >> You're the man, dude. Appreciate you. >> This is I think she's giving me a phony baloney name. >> I would assume so. especially she's not coming back. >> Correct. So, I'm going to try a couple other things. >> Did you talk to Target? Cuz this is Target's bags. >> Target. So, earlier they said she didn't take anything, but that may have changed between now and I got dispatched out to Kohl's earlier today. They advised me that there was a retail theft of several pieces of makeup items offered for sale. The total value of those items is $141. They have you on video walking over to the makeup section, putting those items in your pocket, and walking past the last point of sale without procuring a form of payment. I'm talking. You're listening. I'm >> apologizing. >> Okay. >> The moment officers confirmed her identity and charged her with $141 retail theft. Brenda's next reaction was anything but expected. >> Do you have Don't go reaching for anything. >> I don't have anything in my pockets. >> I don't know that. >> Touch and go. So, I'm going to You are under arrest at this time for the crime of retail theft. We're going to go over right here to this black F-150. Miss Thomas, please be mindful of your step. >> I won't let you. >> You're going to have to really help me. >> Okay, I got you. I'm not going to let you fall. >> I'm just going to take your hat off. >> No, don't. >> I have to take it off. It's departmental policy. >> I I don't know. No, please don't. I usually I have a religious beanie that's in my purse. I >> It's going to go right back on. I have to take it off real quick and then >> Oh god, don't do this to me. Please let me go home. >> Nope, we're [snorts] past that point now. >> Okay, >> I want it back on now. >> I'm Brenda, >> please. >> I'm going to put it back on. I said I had to take it off for a second and put it right back on. >> Can I have my religious beanie? >> Your beanie is still on your head? >> No, it stay Is it on my head? Cuz I was hiding taken it off. I have a religious beanie I wear all the time. >> What color is it? >> It's black. >> It's still on your head. >> I don't know. I'm nervous. In the end, Brenda was officially charged with retail theft along with obstruction of identification for repeatedly giving false information and failing to provide any ID. Brenda's theft bought her nothing but a criminal record. A mistake that will follow her far longer than any makeup ever could. And now, let's meet the women who worked a magic trick, turning an empty bag into a full one. >> Very suspicious from the beginning. Came in with empty bags, backpacks, stuff like that. >> Oh, the what? Oh, darn. She lied. >> Yeah, the wallets. >> On October 3rd, 2024, officers received a call about two women at a Burlington store acting suspiciously with empty backpacks and bags. When officers arrived, employees revealed they were regulars in the game of snatching free merchandise. >> In here, >> um, they've came in. This is our usual. They come in about 10:15 and they run around and stuff carts and then they attempt to walk out with them. >> Okay. Um, these ones came in very suspicious from the beginning. Came in with empty bags, backpacks, stuff like that. Um, but that's what we've noticed. They're they're literally just grabbing stuff. >> So, are they still in here right now doing it? >> Still in right now. >> Okay. So, they're like it's in progress essentially. Okay. And I see that my backs just got here, too. So, um I will wait for them to come in and then we'll head in there. >> So, this back end over here through here. >> Trying to zigzag it. [laughter] >> All right. Thank you. But they're the usual suspect. >> Yeah. >> What are we doing? >> Are we waiting for them to actually steal them? >> That's what I'm wondering. >> Like in the Target [laughter] overtime days, you just wait for them just so you have something to do. >> Yeah. >> What's the word? >> This is what they look like. Now she has this bag in the basket in the other bag. And as I'm going past the men's shoes now, you can kind of see her in the basket. >> She's putting items in there. >> You can kind of see her working in there. She's got watches. She's got shoes. They've got all kind of stuff in that basket. And this one, her backpack looks a little bigger than it was when she got here. [laughter] >> But they're both in the back corner of our store right now. So, >> yeah, we got an off the back side. >> Yeah, that's usually the ones that hang out by the men's shoes are usually the ones that hit the emergency door. So, >> and there is there four of them or just those two? >> Two. Um, he said that two the other two people that came in at the same time as them. >> Did they already leave? This gentleman and another guy that came in right behind them. They've walked out already. >> Oh. With items or without? No. Okay. Just >> they came in, kind of looked around, and then they left. And then them two, those two stayed. >> And it's the red hair, blue-haired girls. >> Yeah. It's like a copper. It's like a copper color. And then hers, the part that's hanging out of her hat, you can see that it's like a bluish. >> The officers waited outside. And as soon as the women matching the description appeared, they were immediately intercepted by police. >> Sweet. Here. Here comes one of them. >> Hello [music] man. >> Hi ma'am. Can we talk to you real quick? >> Can we talk to you real quick? >> Yes. >> Um so the store um >> yeah we put every we didn't we put everything back. >> Okay. Then why don't you guys trespass? >> Okay. >> So we're if you don't do you have any ID on you? >> No I don't. I got warrants. >> Okay. >> Good. How are you? >> How we doing? >> I'm fine. How are you? >> How we doing? So >> we're fine. So much. >> Okay. So the store wants you guys trespass. >> Okay. >> Do you have any ID on you? >> Uh no. I'm from California. >> You're from California? Okay. >> My ID was in my purse when we got robbed. Okay. >> Two E like this. And then uh what's your >> name? Okay. We're going to work through this. What What's your last name? >> Ma'am, what's your last name? >> Take these back. >> Take this back off. Okay. >> Okay. >> Just relax. >> All right. >> I'm going take this one off as well. >> Why am I being arrested, sir? >> So, we'll fly in just a second. Okay. >> Okay. But why am I being arrested? But why am I being handcuffed? >> For theft. >> Okay. For theft. >> It's my first time being in this Burlington, sir. >> For stealing. >> For stealing. They are saying that they saw you put stuff in your bags and now you're walking out with said bags. So that would be stealing. >> The woman in the hat claimed she had returned the items and accepted the situation, but the other refused. Police still uncovered stolen goods hidden in her bag. >> Is this your guys' product? She's saying that it's hers. >> And those from the other over here. >> Okay. >> Shoes is not >> not your guys'. >> And then whatever those headphones aren't either the uh BT21s. Let me ask. Okay. >> You say American Eagle, so I'm assuming No. But how about some shoes or the uh headphones? >> No, those aren't from here. >> Okay. That's just the first bag. So, >> yeah. What bag was she putting it in? >> Uh those the bag. >> So, both of the duffel bags. So, not this one. >> Ah, okay. Okay. >> Whose stuff is this? >> Oh, not not to that part yet. >> Oh, all right. My bad. And you said so the the only thing out of that bag is the coats. >> I promise you don't. >> Okay. Is there anything in her bags? >> No. That stuff that's our stuff that's in in >> in the bag. The coat is theirs. >> Okay. >> Other than that is that that's our stuff. >> Okay. >> I promise you. >> But moments later, every lie unraveled as more and more items surfaced like hidden treasure. Only this treasure came from stealing. Not any reward. Go and sign up for going to jail. >> We're going to take you in on those warrants. No, >> babe. >> And she's got a felony warrant. >> Please. No. >> Are those your shoes? >> Yes. They're Jordans. >> They're brand new. >> They're mine. >> Uh, what other Is it just this bag? >> It's just that coat. The other stuff is not from >> I'll be honest. I'm not going to believe what you're saying right now. >> These two bags, not this one. >> These two? >> Yep. These two right here. >> I'm being honest with you. The only thing that belongs to them is that >> Were those warrants confirmed? >> Yeah, they did. >> They They confirmed them. >> Give me a second. >> The wallets. >> Oh, the wallet. Oh, darn. She lied. >> Yeah, the wallets >> is here. >> Oh my god, it smells terrible in here. >> Do you guys mind getting like a dollar amount? >> Sick. >> All right. Well, you lied. Like I knew you did. >> About right about what? cuz there's two wallets in there and there's a watch in there. >> Oh, that was >> I didn't know. >> That's why I always check. >> Okay. Well, I wasn't. >> Yeah, it's confirmed. >> Good. Okay, they're confirmed. So, she is under arrest now for sure. So, if you want to continue searching her, take her, you know, the bags, all that kind of stuff. Huh. >> And the boots. The snake skin boots. >> I think you had like five shoplifting warrants. Four. >> Four. Oh, sorry. probably getting real rough to give you a break if you got five. >> But two of them I have I have court dates for >> I'm not trying to get in your bed. I'm just trying. I'm just being honest. And then one of them got to stop. You got to know you're doing a lot. >> You got a good work ethic if you you got this much going on. >> I'm just I know just I'm I'm I'm trying. I know. I I know. >> Okay. Just did anybody tell you you had the felony warrant out of state? Okay. That will not go away ever. It's going to be there forever. So, at some point they'll probably get fed up and take you. >> After arresting the women, police gathered more information from the employee. Everything seemed as if these two women had a magic power to make items vanish. >> They were kind of just grabbing shoes and then they would start the conversations when we came over like, "Oh, what size shoe does this nephew or that nephew wear?" And I'm like, "You're in women's shoes talking about what your nephew wears." Um, from there, the one with the white sweater and the black stretch pants. Um, we saw her leave shoes and then she kind of hung out in the girls section. The other one began to run kind of back and forth. She was like grabbing stuff and bringing it to her, grabbing stuff. And they had the basket with a bunch of different stuff in it. And >> like a little basket that you carry around. >> Yeah. It No, it was the cart. >> Cart. Okay. >> And then um they had came here, grabbed a couple watches, went over here in our queuing, grabbed a couple wallets. Um, and then they were hanging out in the men's shoe section. So, I walked past them about three or four times and I had noticed the things in the basket slowly disappearing. Like I walked by, you didn't go anywhere, but the watches are gone, the wallets are gone, these things are gone, and their bags were now stuck in the dipped. Um, at that point, it was about 5 6 minutes before that when I called you guys cuz I noticed the sus suspicious behavior. Um, after that, they attempted to come up to the register. Um, they took two things out of the basket, a pair of shoes and a kids jacket, and told my cashier, "Oh, my card's not working. I'm going to have to [music] go to the ATM." before she even rang anything up and then walked out with the back. >> In the end, the two women were charged with theft and possession of stolen property. The lesson is simple. Dishonesty and stealing always backfire. Respecting others property and owning up to your actions keeps you out of trouble. Next up is a reckless thief who nearly managed to escape from the police. >> Even set my right on my bike. >> Don't do it. >> ON the ground. >> Okay. >> On October 27th, 2023, officers in Ohio received a report of a woman shoplifting at a gas station and fleeing. Police quickly pursued her, but she walked on calmly, seemingly unconcerned. Yeah, she's walking over towards Exchange Street for Hi. might as well stop. Oh my goodness. Just stop. Stop. Cuz you took the food from the store. >> I almost took some crackers. >> Yeah, I know. You can't do that. >> Huh? >> You can't do that. >> Okay, wait. Hold on. Hold on. >> Hold on. Hold on. >> The moment she realized the situation she was in, she immediately resisted and took reckless actions. But it would prove to be her grave mistake. >> [ __ ] man. >> Stop. >> Stop. You breaking my hand. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> Stop. You don't have You ain't even set my tight. >> Don't do it. >> The ground. [laughter] Okay. Okay. Okay. >> STAY ON THE GROUND. GET ON YOUR STOMACH. >> OKAY. I'M SORRY. >> GET ON YOUR STOMACH NOW. >> PULL OVER. >> OKAY. OKAY. OKAY. >> I want to do it again. >> PLEASE. PLEASE. STOP. STOP. STOP. STOP. PLEASE. >> TURN ON YOUR STOMACH. >> OKAY. >> TURN ON YOUR STOMACH. >> OKAY. SORRY. SORRY. SIR, PLEASE. I have lupus and I have a pacemaker. >> TURN OVER. >> I HAVE A PACEMAKER. >> TURN OVER NOW. >> OKAY. >> ON YOUR STOMACH. >> OKAY. >> On your stomach. Don't get up. >> I'm not running. So, you don't have a >> ROLL ON YOUR STOMACH THEN. AND LISTEN. >> OKAY. I'm sorry. 25. >> I'm sorry, sir. >> On your stomach, >> sir. Can I please? >> No. >> Listen, sir. >> Help me. >> Put your hand behind your back. >> Sir, >> put your hand behind your back. >> Under arrest for >> theft. I just She touched my [ __ ] in the bathroom. >> Okay. Her resistance [snorts] offered no justification for her actions, and she continued to make excuses, claiming it was some form of retaliation against the employees behavior. >> Take that off. >> Take what off? >> That thing is pulling me. >> Well, it's not connected to you anymore. >> Okay. Okay. >> Did you pay for it? >> Sheing touched my coochie, sir. She went in the bathroom. I was in the bathroom. Sir, listen. Have a seat. >> Okay. Oh, he broke my nail. >> Okay. And you should have ran for me and you should have been grabbing on me. I asked you TO STOP. YOU DIDN'T WANT TO. >> That's my coochie. >> Okay. >> And I wanted to eat. >> Oh, so what you're saying is it's okay for you to steal. >> No, I have money to pay for it. >> Then why didn't you? >> CUZ SHE TOUCHED MY [ __ ] >> OKAY. AND THEN YOU COULD HAVE JUST DROPPED THE FOOD THEN, couldn't you? You're a grown adult. >> I took the chance cuz I wanted to eat. Okay. You have your ID in here? >> No. [screaming] >> Sir, >> you don't have your ID? >> No, sir. >> Then what's your name? >> What's your name? >> Tyler. >> Huh? >> Tyler. >> At this point, the officer searched her bag, revealing she was likely a true cookie holic. Meanwhile, she kept protesting and refused to immediately admit to the theft. This ain't helping. >> I know it's not helping. You should have helped yourself by just stopping. >> So, the lady comes in the bathroom. I'm not done. I'm not even done shopping. Whole [ __ ] out. Pants on ground. She comes in there. My bag is in between my legs. >> She's got a bunch of needles in here. So, I'm not >> I eat a lot. >> I don't care about you eating. I'm talking about these needles. Yeah. >> Yeah, buddy. >> Yeah, >> I I I I do shoot my medications. >> These are all for your medications. >> Yeah. >> For what? >> I got ADHD dimension. >> Oh, yeah. They don't take needles for that. >> Well, you I meant my medication cuz I like to get there fast, you know. >> You look just like my cousin Paul. >> I can see the Are you her cousin? He looks like mom. >> McCoy. >> So, okay. >> Wait a minute. I can tell you what food is hers and what food ain't hers. The donuts hers. The cookies and the nut butters hers. Everything else belongs to me. Okay. Now, the lady comes in. She totally threw me off. I came. Look. Food stamp card right there. Boom. >> What's your name? >> Huh? >> What's your name? >> Tyler. >> Huh? >> Tyler. Well, that's not what's on that card. >> Yeah, that's because I I I got it from my dude and he told me to go get some food. >> That's a felony. >> He told me to go What's a felony? >> He told me I can go get some food with his car. >> But her tense defiance wouldn't last much longer. The officers took a firmer approach to stop it and soon discovered even more items in her possession. Yet, none could justify her theft. >> What is your name? Because we're not we're done playing this nonsense because I will send you to Jane Doe to the county. You will sit there and rot until you tell them your name. You understand me? We're not doing this. You can be in and out real quick >> if you just give us your name and your information. If you want to play games, I will send there their there's Jane Doe and you will rot all weekend. I guarantee you will start feeling the itch when you are in there. >> I I don't want to go to jail. >> Okay, I know you don't want to go to jail. We're beyond that. You could not have gone to jail if you just would have stopped right there and let me put handcuffs on you. But you did not want to do that. All right. That's not how things are done. What is your name? >> This is where you talk. >> My name is Darius. >> There you go. >> What's your last name? >> You're close. You're close. >> What's your last name? >> Come on, man. I got >> Come on. >> I'm trying to stay out of trouble. You do. >> I know. I saw you got some needles there, too. You got a problem with drugs. >> No, I don't have a problem with drugs at all. >> I have a problem with people. >> What's What's the needles for? >> Well, for the needles, um, I use my anxiety medication, which I don't have on me anymore because it got stolen. >> Do you do you go to CSS or >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Yeah. I see a psychiatrist there. >> Okay. >> Yeah. She gives me anxiety med medication >> for anxiety. >> Yeah. Anxiety, depression. >> Okay. >> Um, other than that, I I don't bother nobody. I just get my food. That's my routine. And she came in the bathroom. That's not right. >> I know. But you shouldn't have taken their their items, right? >> I I can return them or pay for them. I >> But you didn't, right? I didn't. >> You took them without having to pay for them. You didn't pay for them. The suspect was initially charged with theft, misrepresenting identity, resisting arrest, obstructing official business, and possession of drug instruments. The woman's actions show that resisting authority in making excuses never justify wrongdoing. Even when facing pressure, honesty, and cooperation could have prevented serious consequences. And now watch this shoplifting couple swear they'll stick together for life and see how that promise ends. >> Stop. Stop. >> Stop. >> I need divided. Stop. You guys are You guys are in custody right now. We're in >> We don't need any of that. Just please wait over there. >> The male suspect kept begging for forgiveness, even taking off his glasses to look honest, but it was all a ploy to dodge charges. His behavior with his girlfriend that followed showed he didn't care one bit about what officers were saying. >> Listen, I'm going to tell you this. I'm going to tell you this. >> Any standard candy, >> the stuff that I took They decide not to charge and ban me from all targets. They can take my picture. Whatever. I I'll tell them how I took it cuz there's there's no other people that's taking it the way I'm taking it. >> Okay. >> We'll figure out I'm telling you right now, the way I'm taking it, they're not taking it the way nobody else is taking it. >> What? Listen, she >> Was there anybody else that was with >> No. No. I put him on the beat on everything, bro. How the [ __ ] I'm taking, nobody else is taking, bro. The way I'm taking it. >> How long you been out in like where? >> I'm in two months, bro. I'm in a halfway house. >> How But where you originally from? >> I just moved out here from from Philadelphia. >> From Philly? >> Yeah. >> And like we're struggling, bro. And it's just, you know what I mean? We're struggling [ __ ] like that. >> What was this going to be for? >> It's going to pay for our rent for the next 250 each. >> Keys on. >> No, I don't. No. It's 250. It's 250 each in rent. We got the halfway house, bro. This is how we This is how we eat, bro. >> During questioning, he admitted to the theft, but blamed it on hard times as a newcomer from Philadelphia. Yet, store employees revealed a very different story. >> Last week, they came in, they took some items, and they left the store. So, we identified them, recognized them from the subject that been targeting several targets in the area. >> Okay. >> So, they came in, they went straight to the electronic area. >> All right. I think it's just that We're We'll Let's figure this all out. All right. >> I would never come here again. You man messing around with the magnet? >> Yeah. I'll never do it again, bro. >> Okay. I'm That's what I'm going to trouble. Nobody does it and I'll never do it again. >> The man kept making promises and pretending to cooperate, but his words showed this was not as simple as it first seemed. >> This thing is probably going to be a >> Yeah, that's going to be something else. It's a crime. >> It's a big crime at this. >> It's a magnet. >> It's a magnet. It's a magnet. It's you. The way that it was used, >> but you used it to bypass the security device. >> I know. Yeah. >> I tell you, if it's more than 750, it's a >> Yeah, you But that's on sale, bro. >> No, no, no. That doesn't matter. >> They upped it for 300. >> It used to be 300 was the felony price and then they upped it to 750. During questioning, he admitted using a special magnet to remove security tags, a detail that made the case far more serious. And then, as if the law were a flea market, he actually tried bargaining over his charges. >> You'll be banned. >> No, you're banned. All right. So, so, so I'm telling you, you can't come back. All right. So, what's going to happen? Like, can you can they can they split the the amount on both of us? Like then it's not a >> Hey, can I ask you a question, bro? >> Can you split them out on both of us? So, it's not a felony. >> No, no, no, no. That's not that's not how that works. >> We're both here. >> She handed you the stuff and uh and she had a device that bypass the security device as well. You do this together. You got to go together. It's the law. >> It's not like >> But >> you got to understand what it's felony. You have no discretion. It's a misdemeanor, bro. It's not a misdemeanor. >> No, it's not a misdemeanor. That's a felony. >> You stole $1,000 worth of stunt. It's not a misdemeanor. >> It's more than 750. That's felony. >> Despite clear evidence in his denial that his girlfriend was involved, officers bluntly laid out the couple's violations, leaving them with almost no hope. >> That's That's what's $449, bro. What's $449 drive? >> That does not go $449. That's $150.50 a piece is $4.49. You have these Western Digitals. You have another Western Digital. That's a different one. Then you have a SanDisk. Then you have Nintendo accessory, Nintendo accessory, $80 a piece. >> You had three $150 hard drives plus another 135 plus 189. That all adds up. >> Yeah. So, listen, it is what it is at this point. Like I said, we're here now. It is what it is. All right. >> Can I take half of it? >> Right. Your code is in the case. >> Take this bag off. >> I got to take one cuff off. >> Both were handcuffed and escorted to the station. Desperate, the man begged and grew angry over the tight cuffs. But by then it was far too late. >> Bro, whoever stuff you please, >> I'm going to give you more trouble if you try to put me in here than than you unleash. I swear to God, bro. I just did 10 and I'm not going down like that. These shits hurt, bro. >> I'm showing you respect right now, brother. I'm showing respect. I'm not going to move my hand.
