[Music] Hey it's detective Steve berry here with you again and detective C Flores we're out here at a local mall and what we're gonna do is we're gonna challenge each other and see how many valuable items we people have left behind and plainview in their cars in five minutes and this challenge is called learning a valuable lesson all right Steve you ready I'm ready here we go but that's a shopping bag you know sometimes the lesson is as simple as black and white I got back-to-back cars that have purse or handbag type items left right and Plainview Oh found the purse here so I think I should get a bonus for this car not only did I find something left and played you I got two mini iPads all in one car it looks like a computer bag thief would glad to have that one here's another one that we found not any hard items like phones or iPads but I can see a lot of health bills and things of that nature you don't want to leave that important documentation out where somebody could steal it and you could become the victim of identity theft oh it looks like we've got a walgreens bag in this one and it's got prescription drugs in it any criminal will be glad to have that I mean the value of prescription drugs on the street right now and the theme with everything going on you gotta be kidding me sometimes you come up to a car and things are just too obvious in this case there is a very very large woman's handbag just sitting on the front seat in plain view that's the kind of thing that's gonna make a thief want to break in [Music] even though the detective Steve berry won this challenge the real winners are those who remember to lock up their valuables before they were chopped it is fun to win I'm not gonna lie but the important message is here again be sure that you put those valuables away don't leave them in your cars don't leave them in plain sight on behalf of the Mesa Police Department we want everyone to have a safe and happy holiday season [Music]
