Let's go with him. >> If you were a shoplifter who decided to run after officers suddenly stopped you, don't forget that police had K9 units capable of tracking the scent from the very items you discarded, while store surveillance systems could also help piece together your every move. But what if you were running from police, not just because of theft, but because there were far darker secrets hiding behind your crime that you desperately wanted to keep buried? What would happen to you then? Watch today's video. Shoplifters thought their Walmart theft went smoothly after cops surprise stop. We are This is Law. Don't forget to like and subscribe. Starting with the woman, she attempted to avoid accountability at all costs. >> He never announced who he was. Had he would have said like >> I'm not sure he has to do that. Well, even even I as a police don't really have to identify myself as a police officer when I come out to affect the arrest or take law. >> Then they told me I got a warrant for retail theft somewhere. I don't even know where. >> On the 8th of March 2026, police received a report from Walmart about a woman who had previously been trespassed, but returned to the store and was allegedly involved in shoplifting. Upon arriving at the scene, they spoke with a witness who was believed to be a relative of the suspect to obtain a statement about the incident. >> What's happening? Hey. >> Um, hold on, yeah, hold on. I'm a quick person and then and then a minute. Um So, I don't really know, you know, what she was doing. We drove separate cars. I came to do some grocery shopping. >> Yeah. >> I guess she came to do some grocery shopping, but uh she was in the like the self-checkout scanning her stuff or whatever and the guy just kind of walked over there and I had my own lane and she was in her own lane, so I was, you know, just looked over and I seen the guy like grabbing her bags and stuff out the corner or whatever. And um and she was like yelling telling him like what you grab my stuff for I'm not done scanning and this and all of that. And he was like well you think he said you you going to jail for trespassing or something. And she was like what are you talking about she like I'm not done scanning my stuff. So I'm like what's going on? I said you know why you not scanning yourself what you what are you doing like why you didn't pay for it or whatever. And he was just like holding the buggy and bags and I was asking another worker I said you know what do he work here or whatever what's going on. And they was like well yeah he do but they didn't say that so you know I don't know what's going on like I don't you know >> Okay. >> I don't know. >> According to the prior report the suspect was believed to have been involved in a dispute that escalated into a physical altercation inside the store and police also questioned the witness about this matter. >> There was somebody said something about a bag of chicken getting thrown at somebody do you know anything about that or >> No. >> No, okay. Um So you were just in the checkout lane do you know the people over here in this car or >> Yeah, I know her. >> You know them okay. Who was who was arguing or was it the guy in the with the employee? >> Yeah, so honestly like I said he was literally like I didn't know she knew him so I just got back to scanning my stuff and was like I don't know what's going on. But he was like holding the bag I just never seen nothing like that happening. So he was holding the bags and he was like grabbing the buggy and was like you not going nowhere and all of that and she was just like you know what are you doing. So I mean he was you know I just feel like kind of doing too much. >> He was doing that to this girl over here? >> Yeah. >> Got it okay. >> Yeah, cuz I was like I don't know why would he do all of that so >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Seems odd but >> Yeah, it was and I I never seen him do nothing like that and I'm like what's going on. >> Okay, so you weren't involved in anything aside from just seeing what was going on and >> I don't have nothing to do with this stuff I don't know what's going on but like I said I have never seen nobody you know like grabbing buggies and bags and stuff. So I was confused though. >> Okay, was he saying anything to her or was it just like >> He was just like you going to jail for trespassing or something and she was like I'm not even done scanning my stuff. She She like get back. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> Fair enough. >> Yeah. >> Um are you just going to head home now or what what's the plan? >> Yeah. >> Okay. All right. >> I was going >> No, I'm just I'm just asking. I'm just Did >> Look, I was just saying cuz I wasn't expecting all that to happen. That's why I just called my sister. I said, "What is going on?" >> She was not certain about the exact disruptive actions, but she was clear that a confrontation had taken place. And this was further supported by the suspect's own aggressive demeanor being observed. >> So, let me get my purse. Don't touch me. >> Is that Okay, so you were the one that he was messing with? >> Yeah, he almost slipped my baby out the cart. And I sure did. I did. >> Yeah, I did so him that I feel like I didn't know I ain't never seen nobody doing that cuz I was confused cuz she was scanning her stuff. >> And he was just >> He didn't even let me finish scanning my stuff. Then you come up to me all hostile and [ __ ] and almost slipped my baby out the cart. How you going to react if somebody almost slipped your kid out the cart? >> That's fair. Which one? >> Who has Who has green leggings? Somebody said somebody has green leggings on. Nobody has green leggings on. >> Was there anybody else in there that y'all knew or >> Mhm. No. I guess I was by myself just scanning my stuff and I'm look over and see, you know, him at the buggy. >> Yeah. >> With the grab He was like in the buggy like this and stuff and was grabbing. I'm like, "Who is that?" >> Okay. >> And then he was just like uh he was saying I think he was saying you going to jail for trespassing or something. >> Yeah. And she was like, "I'm not done." >> I was like, "Who are you?" He said he was like, "You going to jail for trespassing. You going to jail for trespassing." I'm telling you I was like, "Who the [ __ ] are you and how am I trespassing?" >> Yeah. Do you know him or anything? You never met him before? >> never seen that man a day in my life. >> Okay. Fair enough. >> Oh, Jesus. It's all the cops now. >> The woman denied any prior altercation with the loss prevention staff member, but her statement appeared to be an attempt to downplay the incident and shift attention away from the earlier shoplifting. >> Because we have reasonable suspicion that a crime was committed inside Walmart and you were involved. >> No, I wasn't involved. I wasn't involved. I wasn't I wasn't >> Once Once we figure it out and dispel our reasonable suspicion, you'll be free to be on your way, okay? Right now, you're not under arrest, but you're not free to leave. >> to tell you what happened. He pressed charges on me, I pressed charges back on him. He can't touch me, so I got the right to defend myself, so hey. >> Well, well, here's the deal, young lady. The only law allows retailers to use reasonable force to protect their their business and their property, which involves touching people. >> Right, but okay, that's the law, but at the same time >> having said that, you are free to proceed with civil litigation against Walmart if you so choose. You can obtain an attorney and and >> Right, because my my thing is though he never announced who he was. Had he would have said like >> I'm not sure he has to do that. Now, even even I as a police don't really have to identify myself as a police officer when I come out to affect an arrest or take law enforcement action. >> Based on the evidence gathered earlier, the police were still able to make a determination at that point. >> They laughing and playing like it's funny and it's not funny. Like I don't find >> All right, you're going to go ahead and place your hands behind your back here, you're under arrest. You do have a warrant for retail theft. You're also going to be arrested for misdemeanor battery. >> I got a warrant for retail theft, for what? >> Uh boosting for tickets. >> Well, I don't >> Place your stuff in the back over here. You're under >> Yeah, can I call someone to come and get them? >> Is your friend able to drive or >> No, she she don't know how to drive. I can call my cousin, she stay living right down here. >> She right in the filing here? All right, we'll get something figured out here, okay? I'm going to get your phone, anything else you need in the car? >> Yeah, my stuff. My I need my phone. Um >> Wallet, purse, whatever. >> Yeah, my purse. I guess my Leave my keys with somebody who have to come and get my car stuff. >> Okay, yeah, we'll work all that out, okay? I'm going to have you come sit in this car here, and we'll get all your stuff for you. >> Okay, can I just tell my cousin to just call her mom right quick? >> You talk to her real quick, yeah. >> I'm going to go to jail. Then they tell me that I got a warrant for retail theft somewhere. I don't even know where. That ain't possible. >> The woman was charged with retail theft, trespassing, and misdemeanor battery. Denying or escalating a situation does not prevent accountability, as surveillance footage and witness accounts ultimately clarify what happened. Next, this woman further created drama with her false story. >> I got it. Can we go? >> What what >> We'll go when I say go. >> I mean, this is the normal protocol for us. >> We got to take care of your kid before we go. >> know what y'all normal is. >> On the 11th of March, 2025, officers responded to a call from Walmart after employees reportedly detained a woman for shoplifting while her young family member waited outside alone. When officers approached her, she immediately showed an irritated attitude and clearly had no intention of cooperating. >> Hey, how are you? >> Fine, how are you? >> Good. I'm Officer Sullivan. Um Do you have anything else on you? >> No. My daughter is. >> Okay. Well, now I have I have to do my part, too, okay? Um >> I have a purse. I'll go get my purse. Can you sit in here with her? My kid is outside waiting. >> Okay. How old is your kid? How old is your kid? >> 12. >> 12? What's your name? >> Levert Brewer. >> How do you spell that? >> L E V E R T A. >> What is your last name? >> Brewer. B R E W E R. Excuse me. Yes. Can I please call my mom to get my child? >> In just a minute, okay? What's your date of birth? You want me to go ahead? >> I got I started getting her name, but >> No, you need to sit down. Sit down. I'm I'm not Sit down. You weren't worried about your child when you left them in the car. So, you're going to sit down. >> Can I at least make a phone call? >> No, not right now. >> She appeared to treat the entire situation like it was nothing serious and acted as if it did not even need to be resolved. Even the information she previously provided quickly raised suspicion. >> First name, L O R I D A. Lincoln, Edward, Victor, Edward, Robert, Tom, Adam. >> Your child on the side of the building or where? >> She's down on the >> Where? >> Yes, she's down on the >> 10-4. Is this your real name? >> Yes. >> So, we're not finding you in the system. So, if you're not giving me the real name and your real information, then it's going to be a real problem. >> Ma'am, this is my name. >> Can I see your identification in your purse? >> I don't know why she didn't call me to see if I've ever been here. >> It My system has nothing to do with Walmart. >> Oh, she thinks she was looking up to see if I've been here stealing or not. >> Yeah, this is to do with our system. Do you not have a license, a driver's license? You've never had a ID in the state of Arkansas? >> Yes, yes, I've had ID. >> Okay, do you have that in your purse? >> No. >> You don't have any identification in your purse? >> It does show up. No. No. >> Do you have a picture of it on your phone? Where I can possibly get like your ID number, the number at the top? >> I know it. Hold on. It is. >> Usually with a non, non, non. >> Non, hold on. >> She had nothing to prove her identity and even hesitated when questioned. Meanwhile, officers and employees urgently tried to get information from her to locate her family member. >> Can you give me your keys and I can talk to at least pay attention? >> I just gave it to her. She's not in the store. She went to the bathroom. >> She's not in the store. Is you Do you have a car outside? >> No, ma'am. >> What do you think she would have went? >> She would only walk away. little bit. >> Uh-huh. >> What does she have on? >> Black leggings and a I want to say a t-shirt and pink. >> Black leggings and a hoodie. We got somebody going to look. >> Y'all need anything? >> Yes, ma'am. Thank you. Can I please call >> Make a call for my mom to get my child. >> We We will get that in just a second. So, do what I asked. Put your purse down. Put your phone down. Can I put it in everything in my purse? Yeah, I'm going to go through it anyway. All right. Give me this one. And you sure your child's out there? >> Yes, ma'am. Please call. >> We We will get her taken care of, okay? Double lock these real quick. And you don't have nothing else on you? >> No, ma'am. >> All right, I'm going to pat you down. >> Ignoring all doubts about her credibility, there was still no reliable indication that the relative she kept mentioning actually existed. In fact, her behavior at that point suggested she was no longer even willing for officers to search for them. >> Wala. >> Ma'am, don't go get my keys. >> Wala. >> Because I don't want you to get my key. >> Your kid You weren't worried about your kid when you was in here stealing. >> I got it. Can we go? >> What >> We'll go when I say go. >> I mean, this is a normal protocol for us. >> We got to take care of your kid before we go. >> know what y'all normally do. >> What kind of car are you driving? >> It's red. >> A red Mercedes? Is it an SUV or a car? >> Yeah. >> Which one? >> The first one. >> SUV? >> I don't have I mean, he won't be able to drive. >> She kept changing the location of her relative and even changed her story about driving a car after initially denying it. Officers quickly caught the inconsistencies and confronted her. >> We've got somebody going to check. So, you're You've lied about having a daughter here this whole time. >> Ma'am, we do have your daughter. somebody to pick her up. >> Where is she at? >> Right here. a I need somebody to pick her >> Where is she at? >> She's not going to go with you. I need my mom to pick her up, you can doubt it. >> Where is your daughter at? >> She's not here. She's been dropped off. Can you >> Been dropped off where? >> At tutoring. >> Well, first you tell me on the side of the building, then you tell me in a car, so what is it? You're getting mad over your own lies. >> I'm not getting mad at my own lies. I would want you to just grab my purse and you can go. >> That's not how this works. When you get a kid involved, we got to make sure the kid is safe. >> She's safe. >> You say that, but how am I supposed to know? >> Yeah, you lied about everything else and now how do we know that she's not actually sitting out here? Where is this car parked? >> On baby. >> What kind of car is it? Other than a Mercedes, what? >> It's red. That's what she said. >> A red SUV? >> Yeah, I told LT he said he was going to go look for it, but I don't know if he's located it yet. >> We'll see if he's got her. I'm going to walk around and see if I can see her. >> All right. Okay. >> It's going to be toward the front. >> Toward the front? >> Over here? >> Yeah. >> Okay, so I'm going to Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Are we Which end are we on? Hold on. Wait, wait, wait. >> We're on the grocery end. >> Daddy, it's right there. >> She was charged for shoplifting as well as giving false and inconsistent statements during the investigation. When a suspect provides inconsistent or false information during a lawful investigation, it not only weakens their credibility, but can also escalate the situation into additional criminal charges beyond the original offense. Even worse, the woman even blatantly lied. >> What did I do? >> Apparently shoplifting. >> I didn't take anything though. I was going to look at flowers. >> You're going to jail. >> But I didn't steal anything. >> Okay. >> On the 17th of September, 2021, police approached two women as they were intending to leave the Home Depot parking lot due to suspicion related to prior behavior. These women immediately displayed different reactions. >> Do you have any stolen items? >> Yeah. All right. Take a seat. I'll be right back. >> I was going to look at plants. I was coming back in to finish paying. >> All right. >> I was planning to walk in here. >> Step over here. >> What the hell? Am I going to jail? >> I don't know. >> But I wasn't I was >> Depends on if you stole anything. >> But I I I wasn't attempting to steal anything with this. >> Set your phone up there. >> I wasn't I was going to pay for this. >> But officer, I wasn't attempting to steal anything. You're putting me back in the car? >> Mhm. >> But what did I do? >> Apparently shoplifting. >> I didn't take anything though. I was going to look at flowers. >> All right. Take a seat. >> What the hell? >> Can you say that? Take a seat. >> Listen, I was looking at flowers. I wasn't trying to steal anything. I did have a buggy with some stuff in it, but I was going to look at plants and coming right back in. I wasn't trying to walk out with the stuff. >> Okay. I'm going to run them real quick. I don't think the black female knows anything other than just driving. So, once I run her in the car, I'm going to cut her loose. >> Police confirmed that the black woman was only the driver and not involved in the incident, while the main suspect was the woman in pink. Even her continuous pleading and anxiety further increased suspicion. >> Officer, like on my kids, I wasn't I wasn't trying to steal anything. I'm I'm I'm a nurse. I have a job. I'm not going to deliberately steal anything. He came and snatched the buggy like I was trying to steal something. >> Where's your stuff now? >> So, am I going to jail? >> I don't know. >> Well, how who decides that? >> That will depend on our investigation. >> But I wasn't deliberately trying to steal anything. >> Okay. >> I did walk past the threshold, but I was looking at potted plants. I wasn't trying to walk off. Then the minute I got out the door, he grabs the buggy, scares me half to death. I was going to I was looking at flowers. I I told the lady I'd come back in to buy mulch. >> She's going up talk to Joseph, see if the driver had anything to do with it. >> Where's the girl? >> The female's in the back of my car. >> But I wasn't trying to steal anything. I'm a nurse. Like I don't have to steal. Legit. I mean I wasn't trying to steal. I'm confused. >> 42 is a felony >> I have two children. I'm not going to go to jail for something stupid like shoplifting. What is this a misdemeanor? >> Again, I don't know what you stole, so I don't know what you stole. >> anything though. I don't want to go to jail for something I didn't do. Can I go talk to the man and tell him what was going on cuz I wasn't trying to steal. I'm a nurse. >> What does your occupation have to do with you >> But I'm saying I'm not going to go deliberately my nursing career for that. >> Okay. I mean, we have lawyers THAT GOT DUI'S. >> WELL, I'M GOING TO GO TO JAIL. LISTEN, I'M A SINGLE MOM OF TWO KIDS. I'm not going to go and steal something. I have nobody to care for my kids. >> The woman aggressively denied her shoplifting actions, but her statements inside the vehicle and the store employee's account revealed conflicting details. >> So, my boss wanted to know is there any way I can talk to her? Are y'all okay as well? We just want to know like if there's any specific spots she's taking merchandise cuz she's been hitting all our other stores. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> Um we'll have to read her her Miranda first, I believe. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> I walked out of the store, but I wasn't I wasn't going any further than that. I was turning I was looking at flowers. And I need to get 20 bags of mulch. I guess maybe I should have left the buggy sitting right there and when I got the [ __ ] Damn, I didn't I mean and I was on the phone. I guess they were calling me. I don't know, but I wasn't deliberately trying to steal anything. I'll tell them that. Like honestly. I have They have never had no issue with me here before stealing. I've always came in here and purchased my stuff. They can pull up tapes on that, too. Like I would never deliberately steal anything. >> She's been hitting it for a while. She's been hitting a bunch of different stores. >> Yeah. What she get today? >> is a felony amount over a thousand. >> Over? >> A thousand. >> Did she put it in the cart? >> She said that she didn't get out of the store, then he's got to bug his ass. >> Well, it's $775. We have to use subtotal. We don't have to charge >> Whatever, it's still a felony. >> Yes. >> Whatever. >> All right, cool. Um yeah. Um I'm going to run in, talk to him real quick, >> We understand, guys. >> All right. At this point, even while sitting inside the patrol vehicle, the woman became increasingly panicked and anxious about her fate, leading to unstable behavior that forced officers to repeatedly warn her. >> I wasn't >> You keep knocking, it's not going to >> I'm going to get the manager. >> calm down. You keep knocking >> stealing anything. >> You keep knocking on the window, it's not going to make me answer your questions any faster or any slower. Calm down, we'll explain everything when we open the door. Do you understand? >> anything, though. >> Well, I wasn't there, I don't know. Apparently, you were. So, can you please No, no, no, no, no, no. This is where you listen to what I'm telling you. Get out of the vehicle, put your body up against the vehicle so this officer can search you. That's what we're doing right now. >> why are you guys like doing this to me? >> Put your hands behind your back. >> Hello. >> Hands behind your back. >> If I'm not going to jail, you guys have no official Why am I being handcuffed and stuff? I know what 10-95 is, so am I coming Am I going to jail? >> You keep saying you're a nurse. Like, yes, you're going to jail. >> But I didn't steal anything. >> Okay. Clearly, the Clearly, that camera in the inside >> Georgia making the attempt to even walk out the building. >> wasn't trying to >> Separate your feet. >> I wasn't trying to literally do that. I was >> Well, you'll have your day in court, ma'am. >> Is this a misdemeanor or a felony? >> Felony. >> How is it a felony? >> I know. >> What did I steal over? I mean, I wasn't supposed to I was >> You can get your product, ma'am. >> But I wasn't trying to steal it. >> All right, well, you'll have your day in court. >> The woman was charged with felony shoplifting for allegedly stealing $775 worth of merchandise from Home Depot. No matter how many excuses she made or how desperately she denied it, the surveillance footage and her own actions had already destroyed her credibility. Sometimes, acting suspiciously for just a few moments could completely ruin the trust people once had in you. Next, this woman tried to hide the many crimes she had committed, but everything was exposed. >> Stop. >> Sorry. >> What's your problem? Get up. >> I'm sorry. >> Yeah. That's why you didn't want me to have your purse. Good bag. >> On the 21st of February, 2023, police received a report from a Walmart about a woman attempting to shoplift inside the store. The moment officers arrived at the scene, she immediately took off running, triggering a tense pursuit. >> You need to stop. Sheriff's office, stop. You're going to go to jail. You need to stop. Sheriff's office, stop. You're going to go to jail. I'm not playing with you. You need to [ __ ] stop. >> Sorry. >> What's your problem? Get up. >> I'm sorry. Sorry, I don't know why she was chasing me. >> Something silly you can go to jail for, you understand? >> Please don't take me to jail. Are you going to take me to jail? >> Depends. Put your hand on the car. Put your hand right here. If you come off of this car, you're going to get tased and you're going to go to jail, you understand? >> Yeah. >> 658 >> 658 >> Second my car and put me on view of a 300 in progress. I just had to go 10-31 and through the parking lot on foot. I'm 10-25, a white female. Put your hand on the back. 658, I'm 10-4 for now. I'll advise the finish the 94. I'm here with loss prevention, see what's going on. Hi. So, what's going on? Please, I'm chasing this random ass girl through the parking lot. She tried to throw everything into the van where her boyfriend was sitting. >> Oh, he was in the van? >> Yeah, he's with her. >> He was with her? >> Yeah, I saw. Yeah, I think he left as soon as I >> Yeah. >> She threw the purse into the car. I reached in, grabbed the purse back. She's still running through the parking lot. She almost got slammed to the ground. She's not listening. >> With every word from the officer, the woman could only stay silent, unable to deny any of the accusations. But, it did not stop there as police quickly uncovered even more troubling offenses connected to her. >> What's your name? What's your name? >> Skylar Nicole >> What is your name? >> Skylar >> Skylar what? >> Sanders >> Okay, why do you have an ID for another person? >> Well, that's my friend. She just left it in my car. >> Mhm. You ain't getting that back. You got a warrant? Sure. You seem like the type that's going to have a warrant. >> Let me run into the parking lot, bro. Get some exercise in. I'm like sitting there and she like, "She like, get her, get her, get her." I'm like, "What the heck?" She like takes the the purse and like throws it into a van. >> The guy sitting out there reaching in and grabbing the bag. Then he got in the vehicle, took off. >> Yeah, he he did. >> That meant she was now suspected of illegally possessing another person's identification, and things became even worse when the search of her bag uncovered additional crimes. >> Choice Well, that's clear. So, looks like it's me. >> That's water. >> There we go. Got some crystal. Good bag. Yeah, now you're under arrest. Now you're going to jail. To answer your question from earlier in some way. Got a goody bag. Another nice little crystal bag. Bag of You got a bag That's why you didn't want me to have your purse. Good bag. How you How long you been on the for? For a while or just got back onto it or what? >> Just got back. >> Hey, this girl When was the last time you cleaned your bag? >> It's been a minute. >> It's been a minute? Yeah, cuz you have a bunch of dirty used needles. So, at this point, you're not getting any extra charges if you have on you. But, if you take something into the jail and they find it, that's an extra charge. So, if you have it on you, just tell me now so that way when the female gets here, I can be like, "Yep, it's right here this spot." >> Yeah, no I don't. >> Nothing on you? >> No. >> Mhm. >> 125, do you need a 10-5? >> I only got you in your vehicle. >> At least you have them capped. We appreciate that. >> 125. >> You day or night shifts? >> Night. >> You nights? >> Yeah. >> Every piece of evidence discovered only made the charges against her harder to escape. And at that point, the officers finally took action against her. >> Here, we're going to pull this off and then >> Put your hands together like you're praying. >> And then no other drugs or anything like that. Cuz if it goes into the jail, it becomes an automatic felony. It's like a huge deal and stuff, okay? >> Did she get the items or get cash back or what? >> So, these are the items. >> Uh-huh. >> But, some of these items have used stickers on them. Which are 50 cents. >> Okay, so she scanned those >> instead of the regular price for the item. >> Okay. But, where's all the merchandise at? >> It's over a little bit up in the pepper right here. So, what's the ones she actually paid for? >> Either paid for or did she exit the store with them? >> Yeah. >> Okay. You she was running She was running with a purse. >> Okay, she right here when I went to stop her. So, right here. >> Yep. >> She grabbed her purse. >> And just took off running. >> Yeah. >> You tried to stop her there? Physically stop her or did she push you or anything? >> Okay. So, you stopped her in the vestibule, tried to direct her back to the loss prevention office. She grabbed her purse, >> All right. ran out the door. That's when you pointed at her to me and then that's when I had to go chase her down. >> Can you go ahead and sit back down? I'm just going to take your shoes off though, okay? >> The woman still showed no sign of shame because even while being escorted to the patrol vehicle, her shameless remarks made it clear she did not think her crimes were a big deal at all. >> You think there's somebody going to talk maybe come talk to me about like the drugs? >> What do you mean? >> Like I don't know maybe try to do something to work the charge out or whatever. >> Oh, no. We don't do that. No, unfortunately not. That's something that you would have to speak to like the judge about or attorney. >> So you don't think the panel is going to do it? >> Different county. >> Yeah. >> Different county. We do we do different stuff, okay? Like this is basically the end of our aspect from here on you're just going to get transported to Orient Road Jail for the booking. Booking's going to let you know when you can go see a judge and how everything else is going to go whether you get bond or whatever, maybe. I don't know your history or obviously. And then once you go see the judge whether that's going to obviously be tomorrow morning cuz there's not going to be a judge that's going to see you tomorrow. >> Currently, right? >> Uh probably going to be tomorrow morning. You're going to see them. They'll let you know what's going to go on from there, okay? And from what I don't know how many drug charges it is. Obviously you already explained to my partner what it what it was but he has to go through test kits. He has to test whatever it is and then go from there. You'll probably speak to you again obviously before we get into the prisoner transport vehicle that's coming but we'll go from there, okay? Let me get your water bottle real quick. I'm going to just close this while I do that, okay? >> Okay, thank you. >> Yes, ma'am. Thank you. The woman was charged with retail theft, resisting officers by fleeing, possession of another person's identification, and multiple drug-related offenses. People who choose to hide their crimes behind lies and reckless actions often make their situation far worse in the end. One bad decision can quickly spiral into multiple serious charges when someone refuses to stop before it is too late. Next, the man even stole from employee lockers. >> You said you were trying to steal some shoes. >> I didn't steal shoes. See, I stole I tried to steal shoes at Walmart. >> At Walmart? >> On the 22nd of July, 2025, officers received reports about a suspicious man behaving strangely outside the Walmart and Sam's Club area. But earlier, they had also obtained footage showing the man illegally entering the employee only area. This was that footage. Shortly afterward, officers approached the man who appeared to be sitting and waiting right outside the store, while his condition completely revealed how unstable and disoriented he was. >> Yeah. >> All right. Stand up for me. Put your hands behind your back. You're good. >> All right, walk this way. >> My pants are falling down. Can you give me a Can you please hold my pants up for me? >> Say again? >> Two bottles in my pocket. >> Did you just come from Walmart? You mind if I take these out of your pocket real quick? The Coke bottles? Is this your name, Scotty Crabtree? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Were you up at Sam's Club? You want to write him a driver's real quick? I mean, I guess I might as well. They forgot me, but >> Whether the pill bottles officers discovered were connected to the man's condition remained unclear, but when questioned about the theft, he showed no shame in openly admitting to it. >> You said you were trying to steal some shoes. >> I didn't steal any shoes at Sam's Club. I tried to steal shoes at Walmart. >> At Walmart? >> Yes. >> You said you were trying to steal some shoes. >> I didn't steal any shoes at Sam's Club. I tried to steal shoes at Walmart. >> At Walmart? All right, man. What's your Do you know your social? Did you turn my lights off? Did you drive a vehicle here or on foot? >> On foot. From Walmart. >> You're good. Did you turn my lights off? Did you turn my lights off? >> Are you just going to write me a ticket or do I have to go to the >> We'll see. We'll see. It is. From the Sam's? >> No, I'm saying >> Oh. Did you get your stuff from Sam's? What's your name, man? >> Scotty Crabtree. >> He casually admitted to the theft without showing even the slightest remorse. Yet, he said nothing about the footage officers had already received. So, they decided to question him further and give him one more chance to come clean. >> So, you were at Walmart and you tried to steal some shoes, you said? Did you take anything else from Walmart? That's it? What were you Were you in Sam's Club earlier, too? You didn't You didn't steal anything? You just walked around the store? Okay. You didn't steal You didn't go to the back of the store? Back into the employee area or anything like that? Okay, cuz we had We had somebody in Sam's Club around the same time that went to the back of the store and stole some stuff out of the back of the store, not merchandise. They stole some personal belongings from employees. We going to find anything like that on you? No, not money. Personal items. Out of their lockers. That wasn't you? The man was charged with theft, unlawful entry into a restricted employee area, and possession of stolen personal property taken from Sam's Club employees. People who continue hiding the truth while already surrounded by evidence often only make their situation worse because sometimes the second chance police give is also the last chance to come clean before everything collapses. Even more disturbing, the man had carefully calculated every step of his escape plan. >> Let's go with him. >> On the 10th of January, 2026, a man appeared at Walmart committing theft while covering nearly his entire body, leaving only his eyes exposed to hide his identity. Officers moved in to stop him as he walked out of the store, but what happened next became a completely unexpected and shocking turn of events. >> This is beard oil basically. Let's go with him. Got one running. Black hat. Coming right towards you. DAVID 21. HEADING TOWARD THE CAR DEALERSHIP LOT. >> THE MAN QUICKLY SHOWED OFF HIS AGILITY as he slipped through the parking lot, making it clear he was likely familiar with the area. Officers even discovered several items he had discarded along the way while trying to escape. >> No, it's It's uh some kind of pants. That wasn't his, though. David 90, do we have a K9 available? Okay, meet me in the northwest of Menasha's parking lot by the 10-ft wooden fence. What What do you got dropped over there? Dude, unless he was layered up that had to have been. >> Yeah, there's no way. >> Perhaps throwing away those items helped him run faster in the freezing weather, but the scent left behind on the discarded clothing ultimately gave the K9 unit exactly what it needed to track him down. >> Yep. There's fresh prints at >> While the search operation continued, other units expanded the pursuit by vehicle across a wider area and eventually spotted a man matching the suspect's build. It turned out he had not discarded his clothes to make escaping easier, but instead to erase the appearance he had earlier. However, the fact that he no longer had any shoes on immediately gave officers enough certainty they had found the right man. >> Why you have shoes on? >> I'm homeless. >> You're homeless? >> Yeah. >> Put your hands behind your back. PUT YOUR HANDS. STOP RESISTING. STOP RESISTING. WE'RE IN FRONT OF WARRANT animal play who got one resisting. WE FOUND HIM. GET ON YOUR BACK. GET ON YOUR BACK. GET ON YOUR BACK OR YOU'RE GOING TO get tased. Get on your back. >> I haven't done nothing. >> Get on your stomach right now. Get on your stomach right now. >> I haven't done >> Get on your stomach. >> I haven't done anything. >> Get on your stomach. Stop fighting. Stop fighting, dude. Get him on his stomach. Stop resisting. >> Guys, my leg my leg my leg. >> OKAY, GET UP GET UP GET UP. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> Stop resisting. >> You're going to stop resisting. >> Get him on his stomach. You're going to stop resisting or what? Stop resisting. >> There we go. We're good. We're good. Slow down. Slow down. We got this, Reese. Bring your other arm out. Move your hands. Move your hands. Give me the other hand. Give us your No, we still got one hand. Nate, you get over here. Grab his Grab his arm. No, he's got the other arm. It's fine. >> I got him. We got him. >> Let's see his arm out. >> The man was charged with felony resisting and obstructing, misdemeanor resisting and obstructing, and third-degree retail fraud for stealing merchandise valued under $200. Investigators also identified him as a wanted suspect connected to a double homicide investigation in Knoxville, Tennessee. No No how carefully someone tried to hide their identity or erase their tracks, the small mistakes could still expose the truth and turn a minor crime into the moment their entire past finally caught up with them. Worse, the woman called her mother to take responsibility for her. >> My mom's a captain of the police department. >> MOM! MOM! MOM! I'M NOT RESISTING. MOM! YEAH, MOM! >> On the 8th of April, 2024, police received a call from Walmart reporting that they had detained a woman for shoplifting using a skip scan method. Upon arrival at the scene, the total value of the loss was clarified by loss prevention staff. >> So, the the amount missed was 43.63 without the tax. So, this item right here that's right on top of that other item never gets scanned. She just kind of holds it over it, scans the bottom item, then places it right here for him to bag. Uh I don't think he realized what all was going on. Um and I he went to go get the kids. He had to pick up the kids. That's why he's not here. >> Mhm. Does it happen that way on every item? >> Not every item. Like for this one right here, they have six of them, they only ring up three. Now, she says it's because they were stuck together and they don't know that you can pull them apart. But, let me fast forward to the end cuz this This is the most obvious one. She has it stacked up on top of it. She's going to take the the hand scanner and only scan the top item before passing both items across. >> Is that your ID? >> Yes. >> Is it Brent? >> I'm married now. >> Oh, okay. >> It's an older ID. >> I got you. Is this uh your most current one though? >> It's not. So, right before here, I was actually in a car accident where I called the police and I gave my ID from the accident to here, I don't know what happened to my ID. >> You're You're a resident of Florida or New York or both? >> I'm a resident of Florida technically. We moved to Florida in August cuz all my family lives here in Florida. However, we're having a house built in New York, so eventually we're going back. >> Okay, but you live here now? >> Yes. >> Okay. All right, so you're being detained by >> The woman deliberately described her circumstances to avoid handing over her ID to the police, and the situation only worsened when she made a phone call while officers were analyzing her behavior. >> Right there for him to bag it. >> I see. >> Oh, but I told them >> We'll take that phone away from you, too. >> Oh, for sure enough. >> Can you put the phone down for me, please? So we got to ask you some questions. >> They're both here. >> Yes or no? You going to put the phone down? >> Okay, well, hold on cuz they're yelling at me now. Okay. >> What is your name? >> Amber. >> Do you have a Florida DL? >> I'm sorry? >> Do you have a Florida driver's license? >> Yes, I do. >> Where is that? >> I don't know. >> Lose the attitude. Okay? >> You have one, too. With all due respect, I didn't do nothing wrong. I didn't say nothing to you. You have an attitude. >> name? What is your last name? >> It's >> Spell it. >> Okay. This deputy is the deputy in the case, and he says you need to stay off the phone. So listen to him. Thank you. >> You're on speaker. Just speak up. I don't hear you. Can you hear me? >> Yeah, she said her her said she got remarried or something and that that's not the way to write my name. >> I told them there's no reason for me When I get food stamps for the kids, there's no reason for me to go and see a lawyer. >> Are you okay with her for 2 seconds so I can go get gloves and a towel? >> I was about to. I had pulled it out of the drawer now. >> Okay. >> Well, the cucumber, uh, onion, and a tomato. >> Uh, she just takes it from the counter and >> Right. The white onion and then the cilantro gets canned, but then the other stuff in there, she never even bothers to take it out. I >> I just need to see the, uh, when you stopped her. >> Oh, when we stopped her? >> Yeah, yeah. >> Which entrance? Cross rear. >> He was right out here. >> The phone call with her mother escalated the situation as she showed no concern for accountability and created further disruption when officers tried to stop it. >> All right. I tried to be nice. I told you to get off the phone. >> a captain of the POLICE DEPARTMENT. >> MOM! MOM! MOM! >> Get on the ground. GET ON THE GROUND. >> WHY ARE YOU CALLING ME? I'M NOT EVEN RESISTING. MOM! MOM! MOM, THEY ARE I'M LOVING MOM. THIS [ __ ] MOM, CALL THE LAWYERS. I'LL LET YOU GO. >> 4617 7, get back in here, please. >> I'm not even DOING ANYTHING. >> STOP RESISTING AND PUT YOUR ARM BEHIND YOUR BACK NOW. >> THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH BEING ON THE PHONE until I'm under arrest. >> You're going to get a resisting charge. Do you understand me? >> I'm literally laying here not doing anything. >> Put your arm behind your back. >> 597, I'm trying to get back in the door. >> Come on, sir. >> I got >> I'm not a >> Put your hand down. Move your hand. >> Mom! I'm not resisting. Mom! Yeah, Mom. You guys are both on top of me. I weigh 130 lbs. >> She repeatedly described the situation to her mother as if she were the victim, even though it was her own resistance that led to the escalation. She also attempted to portray herself as having medical issues. >> It was way too tight. You're cutting off my circulation. What are you doing? >> All right, roll her over. >> Giant asthma. >> All right, relax. Relax. >> Hold on. No, I can't breathe. Let me lay down. I feel like I'm going >> up. Be an adult. >> I have >> Be an adult and sit up. >> Come on. We'll help you up. >> You're really going to do this? You're going to You're going to Okay. >> I don't need EMS. I've been told it's too late. >> Do you want to sit up like an adult now? >> See, I can't. I can't. >> You can't sit up? >> Yes. >> All I had to do was get off the phone, all right? >> I'm going to have an ambulance coming anyway. >> No, I don't I'm I'm saying you can't put me in an ambulance if I refuse. That's I just need a hand to get her up. >> No, I can't get up right now. I need a lady here. No, I'm saying I don't want an ambulance. >> An ambulance is going to come check her out. >> I know. This is all because she wouldn't get off the phone. >> Okay. You want to try sitting up now? >> I don't I don't know if I can. I don't know. >> We're going to help you. Ma'am, how old are you? >> I'm I'm 30. >> 30? >> Yes. Yes. >> Ready? One, two, three. >> It appeared that, even realizing her attempt to call her mother was unsuccessful, the woman still showed no intention of taking responsibility. She continued deflecting, referring to other people as if the situation was their problem to handle. >> It's not me. If you call my husband, he has everything. >> Why would I You're an adult, lady. >> I I I was on the phone. I got in trouble for that. There's nothing I could do. He has my medication. He >> Are you 15? Why would I call your >> Well, then I can't prove anything to you. >> Okay, so you want to risk giving me false information, have three charges today? >> If you charge me for false information, then >> I can't validate what you're telling me, ma'am. I'm trying to give you an opportunity. >> I don't care. I would like you to explain why she can't find your Florida DL. Or I'm going to charge you under the name that you've given me. If that's wrong, that's going to be additional charge. >> I don't know what to tell you. I came to DMV, I got an ID. You don't have any drugs or anything hidden in your bra or underwear. No. I was literally out. >> All right, 4363 was the amount right? 4363. Why do all yours work out fine? I do one for this this guy and it's freaking a New Yorker that thinks this is [ __ ] New York. >> Yes. >> What's your occupation? >> After the arrest, officers met with her family to explain what had happened. They were not even surprised as if they were already familiar with such behavior. >> What is she in jail for one, shoplifting. Shoplifting? >> Okay, she said she missed the scan. >> There's video of it happening. Walmart wants to prosecute. She's going to jail for shoplifting? >> and one matter, she missed the scan, she took something off the shelf. >> She's going to jail for shoplifting? She's also She's also going to jail for resisting. She was fighting this deputy all because she wouldn't get off the phone. She was asked to multiple times, would not get off >> on the phone with her. >> I know. Then, she acted as if she was having a We had EMS come, check her out. She said, "I don't need an ambulance. I don't want to go to the hospital. This is stupid. I don't know why you guys had them come here." They checked her out. All her levels were good, blood sugar, everything that she could have possibly complained of. So, would you like to come inside to get her belongings? >> Yes. >> Can we just do one person? >> One person. >> Thank you. >> Can I have your name and shield number and your partner's name and shield number? >> W Ali, 6025. >> And your partner? >> Ethan Dennison. I don't know his badge number off the top of my head. >> And we'll get the rest of the stuff. >> You guys here you have to calm me. Your guys are really rude. >> Okay, well, let's go get your stuff. >> And another another two people that come. >> The suspect was charged with shoplifting and resisting arrest without violence. How quickly a minor retail theft can escalate into serious legal consequences when a suspect chooses to resist, deflect responsibility, and obstruct officers instead of cooperating. Attempting to shift blame or avoid accountability only intensified the situation more chaotic. Let's come to the horror at this McDonald's. >> 57 >> out the damn door. >> [ __ ] y'all. >> Excuse us. >> I CAN'T GO TO JAIL. >> ON THE 6TH OF JANUARY 2025, police received an emergency call from a McDonald's about the presence of a mentally unstable woman causing a disturbance and refusing to leave. This was what happened when officers arrived at the scene. >> I got to go now, well. >> So, they want they want you guys gone. >> Code three. >> Okay, that's cool. Then we need to be able to get out the door and then before this happens too much for that long. >> And it's only you. You should try for Jake's Sporting Goods, 498 Hollow Avenue, Suite 38. >> sure they just want her banned. >> Yeah. >> You want both of them banned or just her? >> No, him. >> She's Is she cool to stay? She's cool to stay, too? >> not. >> No, him. Oh, okay. I got you. You're cool to stay if you want. You're the one who has to go and you're the one that's getting banned. >> Right. I'm getting ready to leave. >> Okay. Let's get a a rush on that. You want your shoes or by the front door? >> Well, here's the deal. We'll we'll figure this out between myself and my lawyer I have. >> Yeah, you're you're free to stay. >> He doesn't do any like >> Is there somewhere you need to go? Somewhere What's your plan? >> Well, I was going to try to get over to the store to get some things to buy, but I was free. >> The gas station? >> But, actually what I'm probably going to do is go over to a spa >> Two way. >> Okay. When you move on that, what do you need to leave? >> Possibly. >> Okay. >> The woman clearly showed that her mental state was not normal, so they carefully asked about her medical needs to distract her and get her to leave, but she seemed to use that to make things more difficult. >> You want an ambulance? >> No, I do not. >> Okay. >> And I actually have severe CPTSD. >> Thank you. >> To the point of I don't want to have to >> Have to what? >> Hurt anybody. >> Do you have any thoughts of hurting somebody? >> Myself forever and ever and ever and even don't think so, Ohio. >> So, you have any thoughts of harming yourself? >> Nope, not a I cruise behind me pushing y'all right back out. >> You want to get your shoes on? I'm going to get your shoes on before I escort you out. It's cold out there. Is this her stuff? >> You're an absolute idiot. >> I appreciate that. Okay. >> Not you, but the store. So, I take this back now. >> That's fine. >> Not from them. >> Are these your jackets? >> They didn't have it. >> Damn door. >> [ __ ] y'all. >> He's starting from that disabled at 224 East 77 to 224 East. It'll be a red pickup truck just past Main Street. >> Okay, we're not going to do that. Let's go. >> Right after that, the staff and manager provided statements about what had happened, and it could be said that the situation went far beyond imagination. >> Just go. Just go. >> Bring all my belongings out here and you push me out the door so damn fast I can't even figure out how to get them all back. >> You got them all in your hand. Yep, you got them. >> It's not trespassing. >> I'm just informing you're trespassing. If you come back you will go to jail for trespassing. As long as you don't come back you're all good. >> It's not trespassing because I've been wanting to buy something all day and I can't even get up to the counter. >> fine. They can trespass >> don't understand. >> Jennifer. Thank you. >> THEY GET IT NOW. >> ALL RIGHT. She's been trespassing looks like from a few other places. Also, I was looking to see if she'd been from here before, but it looks like it was some other places around. Can't only do so much until they I mean you got kids in here and stuff so it's like It do It is kids in here. But we can't allow that for this to be established. No, absolutely not. Absolutely not. A lot of It's a lot of drugs. A lot of drugs. History of a lot of big history of drugs so I mean that's it. >> It seemed like everything had simply ended, but the woman, who was believed to have left, returned to the store and immediately threw everything back into trouble. >> Leave now the property or going to jail. >> And I apologize. >> Leave now. >> But you have to understand IF I DON'T GET THAT OUT, SOMEBODY'S GOING TO THE HELL OUT OF ME. >> Leave now you're going to jail. >> You're you're trespassing. >> Leave Leave Leave the property you're going to jail. >> Put your coat on. >> Hold. Don't come back. She didn't go get her glove and she comes back here and I'm just going to throw her in the costume. >> She's trying to get it. >> But I know it. >> Jennifer, leave the property you're going to jail. >> Yeah, I can get that back with this in my hand. >> Okay. >> How far do you want to go? >> Go home or go wherever you live. >> Go past McDonald's sign and you're all good. >> So stop. >> Stop what? >> I you're not letting me even balance my anxiety. >> Jennifer, you got to go. >> And I've already pissed in my pants. Think about the cat. >> You can balance your >> No! >> You're there. Start walking or you're going to jail. >> Put your coat on and go someplace else. >> to figure it out of here or you're going to get zapped with electricity. I don't even know how to push it back at you, back at you, back at you, back at you, back at you. Seriously. >> No. >> Get out. No. >> Walk. >> Get >> Where you going? >> Go away I'M YOURS. AH! >> OOPS. >> JENNIFER, OH JENNIFER. >> She ignored all the officers' warnings and that behavior was nothing short of a direct challenge to them, which immediately led to chaos. >> Oh, well. All right. All right. Put your HANDS BEHIND YOU. >> DON'T! YOU EVEN DARE! Damn it! >> Come on. >> I CAN'T! GOD DAMN IT! DON'T MAKE ME LEAVE. HELP ME I'M GOING TO [ __ ] MY PANTS! NO! WOW! PLEASE STOP. JENNIFER, JENNIFER, JENNIFER, JENNIFER, STOP STOP STOP JENNIFER. >> STOP. >> JENNIFER STOP. ALL RIGHT, LET'S STAND UP. >> YOU HAVE TO LET ME GET UP. YOU HAVE TO. YOU HAVE TO. STOP. >> JESUS. >> STOP. DON'T EVER MAKE ME go to jail, step. Cuz you got no idea what you think I can even do. Give me >> Let's just try to get her >> balance. >> Just try to get her out here in the cruiser first. >> Because of the woman's uncontrollable behavior, another team of officers was called in and had to bring additional measures to restrain her. >> I'll have to be able to have time to calm my heart rate down. >> Okay. Just take a deep breath. >> So that I don't because I do have a possible thrombosis, so you guys are really really going to or embolism. >> Okay. >> Okay, please please please please. >> Take a deep breath. You're okay. >> Don't even. I need up there fast. >> Okay. We're going to get you there fast as we can. Just just relax, okay? You can take a deep breath. >> Stop it. >> You're okay. >> Please. >> You're okay. Take a deep breath. You're okay. Here you go. Okay. >> High up on the chest? Okay. >> Just small steps. >> Please. Please. Okay. >> Please. Okay. Please. >> Sit down. Sit down. Sit down. >> Don't lean back. Don't lean back. >> Don't lean back. >> OH, NO. WHAT IF THAT HAD DONE THAT? HOLD ON. Hold on. I have to relax on one side. One's coming up and the other and the other is not and you have to stop. Stop it. I cannot do it like this. I cannot do it like this. Please. >> All right. So, >> Okay. >> Tighten it on three. >> She was ultimately charged with obstructing official business and criminal trespass. When someone refuses to cooperate and continues to challenge authority, even a situation that could have ended simply can escalate into serious legal consequences. >> Yep. You're currently detained, all right? Set it down before Come on. Come on. >> I think I'm stealing going through my bag. >> On April 28th, 2023, officers approached a woman walking along the road. She was believed to match the description of a shoplifting suspect earlier at Walmart. When asked to stop, she completely acted uncooperative. >> Right here for me. >> Nope. >> Hey. Come on back. You're being detained right now. Come on back. Come on back. Theft from Walmart. Come on back. Nope. Come on back. Nope. >> Don't touch me. >> Yes, ma'am. Come on. Back here towards the car. Come on. Nope. You're being detained. Okay. I don't care. Go and set the pillow down for me. >> No, this is my pillow. >> Okay. Well, go and sit on the ground for me. Set it down. Yep. You're currently detained, all right? Set it down before Come on. Come on. Don't be pulling away. Stop resisting. Okay. Set it down. And then we'll work this out, okay? >> Just work with us. There you go. Just work with us, okay? [ __ ] >> The woman acted as if she was innocent and undeserving of arrest. She even admitted the unpaid items she carried without any shame. >> Yeah, I don't get all this stuff. >> So, is this bag with you? Is this your bag? >> Nope. >> It's not your bag? >> Nope. >> You just found it magically? >> You just told me it wasn't mine. >> Well, I'm asking you. Is it yours? >> You told me it wasn't mine. You know more than me. >> Oh, okay. It's got a wrapper on it. >> Uh apparently it's brand new. >> Okay. You forget to pay for it on the way out? >> Pay for what where? >> Walmart. >> You just said it wasn't mine. >> Right. >> So, where did I get it from? >> I don't know. >> I plead the fifth. >> Plead the fifth, okay. All right. Come on back to your 20 minute car. You have an ID on you? You have an ID on you at all? >> Walmart. >> What's that? >> know who I am anymore. >> You don't know who you are? Okay. All right. >> You can look in that pink bag. That's, you know. >> Pink bag? All right. So, that pink bag is yours? Pay for it first. >> All that's mine. All like pillow. I'm on the pillow. >> Okay. >> It's mine. >> Hey, we just got to clarify. >> And it smell like [ __ ] outside. >> Outside in general? >> Yeah, don't it smell like boo-boo out here? >> Yeah, it's a treatment facility. It's horrible. >> That's probably what that is. >> Come on in and grab a seat. >> Shortly after, officers proceeded to inspect the suitcase believed to belong to her. It seemed additional stolen items were also discovered inside. >> That was the ID. >> I think it's after her. >> Returning to the suspect, the woman made it difficult to determine her charges due to her inconsistent background statements. >> Well, here's not in the state of Missouri. >> Illinois. I'm in Illinois right now. >> Okay, but Missouri, have you been convicted? >> No. >> No? Been to court, just not convicted, or you missed court date, or >> Uh >> What's court? And they didn't convict you? >> No, I'm not even from Missouri. >> Okay. Anywhere? >> I'm from Georgia. >> Georgia? >> Yeah, Atlanta, Georgia. >> Okay. You want to come to beautiful Illinois from Georgia? >> No, I live in Missouri. >> Okay. Okay, so have you been arrested or convicted for theft? Missouri, Georgia, anywhere? >> I mean, Georgia's where I'm born and raised. I've done a lot of growing up. Well, yeah, I got one for me in Georgia. >> No, cuz here's where we're at, right? With the amount of merchandise you have, okay? Um If it's a certain If it's a certain amount, okay, then it's an automatic felony. You're not quite >> it. >> You're not quite there. >> Okay, well, I want to go to jail anyways. >> You want to go to jail? >> Yeah, please take me away. >> What? No, you don't have any warrants. >> I do have a warrant. >> Out of where? >> told me. >> In fact, this woman was not the only one involved in the theft. Another woman was still inside the store. Officers immediately went in and addressed the reason for their encounter. >> Hey, how you doing today? >> Hi, baby. Hey, do you know a Tenisha? Do I know a Tenisha? >> Yeah. >> I think so. Why? >> You think so? You think so? Uh is the person that you came in here with? >> Yeah, well, I >> Yeah, okay, so Walmart's been watching you on the cameras, okay? And they saw you putting some items inside that bag that still have the tags on it. >> there. Okay. >> Stand right there. Now, when I pull this out of my backpack and you don't see nothing on there, I want I'm suing Walmart. I want you to go through it. You're pushing my buttons to the point where I'm just going to give you a court date, and you're going to have a court date, too. It is what it is, because they're willing to prosecute.
