You know how many cameras are watching you right now? >> Are you serious? >> You're not a real cop. You're not a real cop. Are youing kidding me? >> Joke. You know that you talking about a mouth about my been dying in the city. You cracker. >> Yeah. >> Yesterday you took two bottles of wine and some ground beef. >> How do you know that? >> Because I saw we saw you on video. >> Oh. Whenever police approached, naive thieves often looked shocked and played innocent, never realizing the cameras above them were real and working until the moment it was already too late. Here is the moments when woman pushes a full cart like Walmart cameras are just decorations. We are This is Law. Don't forget to like and subscribe. Starting with this delusional woman. She believed that she was the real cop. >> Oh, because you took the money out of my lane car. That's why I have to steal. You don't have a right to put your hands on me for any reason because I'm being watched right now and this is a test for you guys. >> On September 10th, 2024, police approached a woman after receiving a report that she was suspected of stealing a few items from Walgreens. But what officers did not know was that they were about to face serious resistance from the woman. >> You're not a cop. Do not put your hand. >> Do not put your hand on. Stop. Stop. >> Don't put your hands on me. Let go. Let me go. >> Let me go. >> Stop. >> Let me go. >> Let me go. >> Stop. >> Let me go. >> I will let you go. >> Let me go. >> Listen and comply. >> Before I make a big deal, I let me go. >> Let me go because you're not a cop. >> Okay. >> You're not a real cop. So, let me go. >> Do you have an ID? >> Oh, you have my ID already. I do not have it already. >> You have >> Let me go because my hand is already hurt. You guys need my Stop. >> Let me go then. Let me go. >> I'm not because you continue to walk away from us. >> Let me go. >> Stop. >> You're putting your hands on me for >> I am putting you on your hands. I am putting my hands on your back. >> You know what? >> I'm going to call a lawyer for this. >> That's fine. Get you the bag. >> For what? because you were in Walgreens steak and stuff. So, it's none of your business. >> It is our business. >> No, it's not. And I'm not on Wall Street's property right now. So, you cannot touch me right now. Y' >> Do you know how many people are watching you? I don't care. Do >> you know how many cameras are watching you? Are you >> serious? Can you listen? >> You're not a real cop. >> Okay. >> You're not a real cop. >> The woman repeatedly offered extremely irrational excuses while tightly keeping the bag containing the items with her, causing the situation to gradually escalate. intention. >> You're going to go from probably just giving them their stuff back to going to jail. >> I'm proud to say that you're not a cop. >> Okay. >> Can we see the bag? >> Let me go because this is the biggest mistake you're going to make of your life. The timing is on. That timing is on. >> You know why? Every look, you know that. So you're wasting your time. >> You're wasting your time. This is special. >> Let me go. Let me go. Let me go because my clothes. >> Let me go. Get your hands off of me right now. You're the biggest mistake you're going to make of your life. That's timing is the timing is on. Get your hands off. Get your hands off. >> Get your hands off of me. >> Get your hands off of me. >> All right. No. Relax. Relax. >> You're being recorded. >> Okay. You are being recorded by us as well. Okay. >> You're not a real cop. Are you kidding me? >> Joke. You know that. >> Relax. >> Is that a real cop? Oh my god. >> Take your ass back to us cuz you're not a cop. >> Real cops are watching it right now. >> I'm a real cop. >> In her rage, the woman staged a fabricated spectacle, claiming that she was the real cop and that everything unfolding was merely a test of others reactions. >> This is your test. This is your last chance. Let me go. >> No, you have you. Then take it because I'm just going to go somewhere else and get the same thing. >> Okay. Well, don't do it in no time. What's going to happen? >> Well, you should have paid for it. >> Oh, because you took the money out of my link card. That's why I have to steal. Because you took the money out of my link card. You know why? Because you me every time I go to the store and get something and buy something, you take the money out of my link. Because you can. You know why? Because you killed everybody in the store that owns it. You know why? because you think you want to own theing store. >> She's got a hospital, but I don't want my information. >> Yes, I do. And everybody knows where I'm at and what I'm doing. And everybody is watching right now. The wholeing world is watching me. >> Did you see your own sister? >> She was crossing. >> Okay. Cuz I I I drove by and I just turn in and I saw your lights. So, you know, right? >> I saw Yeah, I saw your lights. You have the right turn around and I saw I'm like, "Okay, >> I'm not on W's property anymore." It doesn't. >> Yes, it does matter. It does matter. >> It matters when I'm in the store, not when I'm out here. >> We got to leave this for a final sale point of purchase. >> I'm at the bus stop already. Okay. You cannot touch me. You don't have a right to put your hands on me for any reason because I'm being watched right now and this is a test for you guys. Real cops are watching me right now. >> The woman's thinking had nearly crossed into delusion. And even when additional backup units arrived, she continued to reinforce and repeat the same narrative. >> You want to Jesus Christ, please record this. You want to >> You're going to arrest me because I'm stealing milk. You know why? Because you took the money out of my link card because you guys me every time I go to the store. Tell me you guys tell me. Tell me it's a lie. Tell me it's like >> food. Food is not a reason to arrest somebody. >> Yeah, I drink them obviously. Um >> yeah, I'll bring this. >> I can back I can drink that from anywhere else. It doesn't matter. This if you think that this is not because I can get it from anywhere else or I can drink water from a ho from anywhere else. >> Yeah. Only my mother does. >> Okay. Well, then your mom would go to court and dismiss the charges. Okay. >> Oh, she would. But you guys everybody in the court system, remember? >> No. Oh, your hand is shaking. So, you're guilty. >> I'm not shaking. My >> hand is shaking and I'm shaking because you got your demons. >> You take medication for anything? >> No, I don't. I don't need to. >> You sure you guys do? >> The woman completely made up her own rules, saying whatever came into her mind at the moment, even spinning out extremely bizarre stories. >> You know, I just came from the hospital and we swapped it already. You know that my there's something in my vagina right now that it's a camera that's recording everything everybody that touches me. >> 21. >> So once again, >> are you going to this is your last chance? Let me go and let me go about my day >> because I'm just going to go somewhere else and drink water. >> I don't need to come back to this. Elizabeth, is there anybody who would want to report you missing? You have family. >> The wholeing world is watching. Are you kidding me? Everybody right now is concerned about where I'm at right now. Do you know why? Because you guys won't stop me. Cuz you guys won't stop me. There's proof. I have scars on my arm. You guys stuck a baby and you still can't. >> Look at my hands already. I'm tired of this [ __ ] already. My feet hurt. My foot hurts. I'm tired of you guys breaking my arm breaking breaking my wrist. My hurts. Myole hurts too. Just I can't feel it because that's how much God loves me. cuz you she cuz >> God doesn't want me to see all of the up that's happening to me right now because I'm a legend and I'm proud of it. And if stealing is the the worst thing that I can do, then so be it. That's the only thing that I can I can give you guys is is is that what the woman did raised serious doubts about whether she was under any influence. But before anyone could even question it, she answered it herself. The only thing that keeps going through my head right now is that so in your head >> is that I'm sober and that I don't give a about what what's going to happen from this point on because I'm sober. >> Are you sure you don't take medication for? >> Please take you want to take me to town. >> I'm very happy that you are sober. >> Question. >> But I know you're not going to take the right deal. >> What did you use to use? >> You're going to take me to hometown because that's the place where you guys belong. >> What did you used to use before you shot? Was it alcohol or anything like that? >> I'm sober. I don't take drugs. >> Oh, you've always been sober. >> Oh, look. Somebody came out of your room because I don't take drugs, honey. >> So, so you've always been sober. >> Yes. >> I don't I don't smoke. Oddly, I don't smoke. I hate smoking. I hate smokers. >> I I hate smoking, too. It's disgusting. It stinks. >> Makes people breast stink. Makes your clothes stink. >> People's hands people hands stink. Like if you shake their hands, they are smoker. Then your hand smells like smoke. It's It's terrible. >> 352 Angelica's time is gone. >> That's time. >> The woman was charged with retail theft and resisting arrest. Refusing to face reality and escalating through denial only worsened the outcome, turning a minor incident into serious charges. Next, the woman completely exposed herself as a failure through the collapsing story she told. >> They took a large TV, large items. >> Okay. You don't remember the name of the street that she lived in? >> I'm not I don't remember. I'm sorry. Google Maps took me there, so I wasn't. >> On October 16th, 2023, police responded to a report of a suspicious check cashing attempt. And upon contact, the woman provided multiple statements filled with inconsistencies and doubt. >> Do you mind? Do you mind just >> Okay. Do you mind just step turning off your car real quick? >> Tom, were you trying to cash a check? >> Oh, yeah. >> Did you get your check? >> No. She They They have it. >> They have it. And you just left. >> Yeah, I just just left. >> You just You didn't ask for the check back. You >> No, no, no. He told me that he's going to go ahead and give Mary a call because um they're going to hold on to it. >> Okay. Why? >> That's what he told me. >> Who's Mary? >> Mary was the girl that paid me for working. >> Okay. Where does she where do you work for? >> Um just I did her was cooking on her yard. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> So I'mma read you something. Okay. You are being detained right now. >> Why? What happened? >> So I'm I'mma read you something right now. >> You have the right to remain silent. Do you understand? Um >> I don't understand why I'm being arrested. >> You're You're not being arrested right now. You're being detained. So, the call that we got was that somebody was cashing a stolen check. >> The lady paid me. I >> Where is that? Where do you work? Where's that lady working? >> Um, I mean, it's her address. It's her home. >> At her home? >> Yeah. >> What do you do for her? >> I was just hopping in the yard and throw some trash from her. >> Where is that address at? >> Um, I don't know off by heart, but I have it at my house right now. >> You have it at your house? Her statements shifted repeatedly, almost unconsciously, making the situation increasingly suspicious. Shortly afterward, police managed to contact the person who was believed to have hired her for the cleanup work. >> And Mary, I have a officer, I'm sorry, deputy officer. >> Um, Lynch here with us right now from the Police Department. Um, >> not nobody. Nobody. Not at all. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Not Not anyone. No. No. No. >> You guys have a check? All the checks were stolen from your home. >> Yeah, there was a break in here. >> Okay. >> The night that I found out was middle of the night and sheriff came out, but there wasn't a whole lot they could do. Yeah. >> Okay. So, about three days ago. or I mean it was probably Thursday. I think it might have been ongoing where there were multiple attempts to get in the house. >> Okay. >> They took many many things on value TVs, wedding rings. They also took um sorry to be so emotional, but they took my son's ashes. My son passed away last year. >> Oh wow. >> And they took the the container with the ashes. >> Thus, the situation became far more serious. while the suspect still did not realize it and continued to lie to the officer beside her. >> So, if we were to call Mary, she's going to tell us, did she know your name? >> Yes. Well, yeah, I booked her. >> Okay. She's going to tell us that you worked for her and those checks were signed off by her or that check was signed off by her. >> Um, well, I mean, as far as I know, yeah. >> Did she did it in front of you or did she? >> Um, no. I actually met her. She picked up the check. >> Okay. >> Yeah. So, like I said, if she if we contact her, she's going to tell us she gave that check to you. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> Let me see. You did not write any check to Driana. >> No, >> that does that name doesn't ring a bell at all. >> No, not at all. Okay. >> We haven't I haven't written a check in a long time. >> All right. >> Okay. So, But nor has my husband. >> We have that person detained right now. >> Um >> Okay. >> I assume you would like charges on her. >> Yes. Uhhuh. >> Okay. >> Um. Yes. Most definitely. Um I thought it was a male. So this is a female now. >> Yeah. So honestly when people burglarize houses, they go and they sell this stuff. They fence it. They sell it for fentanyl. They exchange it for fentanyl. This stuff may have already been through three or four different hands. So, realistically, the girl that has your checks probably didn't burglarize your house. Just being straight up, if that makes sense. Yeah, >> I would think that they wouldn't be that stupid. >> Right. >> At this point, the officer confronted the woman directly with the information he had obtained and addressed the issue head on. Watch how she reacted. >> This is Mary. >> No, >> no, >> no. >> What does she look like? >> She She's looks younger than that. >> Okay. >> Yeah. Um, so Mary was the victim of a burglary last Thursday where a ton of people took her checks. >> Oh, wow. Isn't >> that weird? Now you have one of her stolen checks on you and she did not authorize nor she ever heard of you in your life. >> Yeah. No, some lady I mean I helped I helped clean out this house and she has to deal with. >> So the more the more cooperative you are, >> the easier this usually goes. Yeah, >> guys. I just spoke with Mary for 10 minutes. Her house got burglarized. >> She's never heard of you in her life. >> I see this lady. I help out clean out the garage and throw some trash. She does not look like that. She's a lot younger. >> And she gave you $683. >> Yeah, that's what she gave me. Well, she had reimbured me for the trash when I went to the dump to throw the votes. And I took about four or five loads. It was supposed to be for three, but I >> How do you How do you say your name? >> It was supposed to be for three. My name Yeah. Debria. >> Debri. Okay. Debri. >> So you you have to know that if we go to the dump, they have video. >> Yeah. >> So we also obviously we're going to go have to talk to her. >> We already have our statement saying that >> she she doesn't know who you are. >> I don't know who she is either. That wasn't >> you know you know when she does a claim that her checks are being stolen, every single check is numbered. >> Yeah. That wasn't her. That lady that she showed me, that was not the lady that hit me. >> The woman desperately clung to her lies in vain. Even so, police still gave her a chance to verify the phone number only for the result to prove equally disappointing. >> What's her name? >> Well, she said Mary. That's what she told me. >> So, if I call her right now. >> Okay. >> Yeah. I can't >> call her. Come on. >> Let me see the phone number. You just called. >> Why does that say Chewy? >> Oh, I'm sorry. No, that was that's her number. >> It literally said Chewy right there. >> That's what I put her under. >> You put her under Chewy. You known her for a week. >> Like a week. Yeah. >> Her name is >> I couldn't remember her name. That's why >> you just told us you you gave us >> No, I know her name, but I couldn't remember her name when I first put it in there. >> So, I I I don't believe you. >> No, I somewhere >> I've been doing this for 9 years, and this is probably the worst story I've ever heard about. >> I'm telling you the truth. I'm so I'm so >> person you barely knew and you did yard work for is nicknamed Chewy in your phone. >> No, I couldn't remember her name when I first >> seems like more of a plug for >> when I first No way. I do not >> or just somebody that you know that's going to cover your story. I don't do not do drugs. >> Well, you have a stolen check for a felony amount. You can't tell us who you got this check from. >> I will take you to the house. >> We're not going to your grand. That's >> But I know I'm saying. >> So maybe in the next >> the lady that gave it to me. >> Immediately afterward, police conducted a search of her car and it appeared that no further investigation was necessary once they saw what was inside. There any fake checks in your purse? >> No, >> that's a lot of clothes in the concrete. >> See checks are a little bit more >> to hide. But >> no, I I mean I'll do I'll take you to her house. >> All right, Debbiana. So, I'm not going to arrest you today, physically arrest you. You will be receiving the summons, which is >> you're going to have to show up to court, >> of course. >> If you can pull get all your evidence saying that you I don't know who's going to take the fall for you. >> No, I'll get the receipts and everything. >> Yeah, you I mean, the receipts, I just want the person that gave you that check if that's true. >> Yes, I'll give I'll give you, sir. I mean, I'll give her two days cuz that's not right. >> Sorry. You said you're going to go file this report with APD, but you're going to have to get all that evidence cuz you all you will be receiving a summon for this. Okay, >> you got it. >> Okay, I'm going to put the 49 in your car. >> That's a good phone number for you. >> Finally, the woman was charged with receiving stolen property over $500. Lies and excuses only deepen suspicion. Once evidence speaks, every false move brings harsher consequences. Next up, the man feigned innocence while facing a nononsense cop. >> How many times you've stolen from here? Go have a seat. >> Not many. >> Not many. Too many. >> I made a mistake. Okay. >> Yeah, there's a lot of mistakes that you made. >> On May 31st, 2025, police received a call from a store reporting that a man previously cited for trespassing and shoplifting had returned. They immediately arrived on scene and approached him while he was visibly panicked. You taking this with the charger? Okay. >> What's up? >> Don't move, bud. What's up? Steal your name. You were previously trespassing there. >> Oh, is that right? >> Yes, sir. >> You know that. >> You knew it. >> I know. Can I? >> No. >> Nope. You already knew it. >> And you stole yesterday. Yes, you did. >> Sorry. >> Can I have my back? >> Nope. >> All light in here. Can't be here. not going to be here. >> While being escorted, the man continued to plead with the officers, showing no remorse. And the police responded to him without hesitation. >> Come over here, bud. >> Can I just go home? >> No, absolutely not. >> You got him real quick. Next time I come back, go to jail. >> I won't come back. >> Yo, one more thing. >> No, I won't. Oh, >> it was evident that the man had returned with the intent to steal just as he had before. Yet, he still believed he could plead to be let go despite what had already transpired. >> You pat him down. >> No. >> Hey, hold on. Come on. >> I got >> You got him. >> I don't have anything on me. >> Can I just go home? >> Nope. Have a seat. >> Yes, sir. Let me grab these. >> Trying my best. >> You're good. You know how many times you've stolen from here? Go have a seat. >> Not many. >> Not many. Too many. >> The man feigned innocence, attempting to downplay his wrongdoing, completely unaware that the police already knew everything about him. >> I don't think so. >> You want to go on that side? Give me the seat belt. >> All my money goes to them. >> No. >> Yeah. >> Yesterday, you took two bottles of wine and some ground beef. Two bottles of wine that you already drank and a pound of ground beef that you already ate. >> How do you know that? >> Because I saw we saw you on video. >> Oh, >> that's why you're going to jail and for trespass. >> What's up, Christopher? I told you not to come back and you just continued to come back. >> That's just not smart. >> I just came to get a sandwich cuz I was hungry. >> Yeah, but you still >> I made a mistake. Okay. >> Yeah, there's a lot of mistakes that you made. Almost every single day you come here and steal [ __ ] I don't steal from here. All my money is goes to them from my card. >> No, >> my debit card. Yeah, I got >> You were going to steal today. >> I got receipts. >> Finally, the suspect was charged with shoplifting and trespassing. The man's attempt to feain innocence backfired, showing that trying to deceive the authorities only leads to inevitable consequences. Next, these women's plan collapsed as they blamed each other. Does >> she have a thigh tattoo? >> Is she wearing shorts? Yes, >> she is. She just got a die cut too recently. >> Yeah, that's ours. You're going to jail. >> You're deleting things. >> No, I'm not deleting anything. >> On July 16th, 2024, police responded to a report from a bank regarding a fraud incident at the location. Upon arriving at the scene, officers approached the suspect while she was completely unaware that she had been detected. >> Hello, ma'am. >> Hello. >> Hi. We need a donkey for a minute. >> Okay. I'll hang on to this. Okay. >> All right. Can we go over here real quick? >> Yeah. >> Your friend asked you to bring her over here or >> Yeah, cuz her car needs to be um repaired for the brakes and something underneath the bottom. >> Oh, I don't know. >> You don't know what she's doing there? >> No. >> Um at this point, you're not free to leave. Okay. And we are going to be asking you questions that are uh incriminating in nature or could be incriminating in nature. So, I'm going to read your Miranda warning. >> What happened? try to stick the plate that way. >> What happened? You didn't try to stick the plate that came out like that. >> Yeah, it's not that. This would have been totally different if we had more time, you know? But >> I see you guys are like >> Oh, cars. Three cars. I see like another car. >> Four. Well, because mine is over there. >> With these rights in mind, are you willing to talk to us? >> Yeah. >> All right, perfect. Like I said, I don't have any questions right this second, but um except for some, I guess, preliminary stuff, but um what are you uh what are you doing today? >> Um I was just trying to cash a bond that I received. >> A bond that you received. Okay. Where'd you get the bond from? >> Um I actually got it from my cousin. >> Yeah. I don't know the whole story, so that's why they're trying to figure out, you know, I was going >> and do you know where she got the bond from? >> Um no, I don't. Okay. Um, I know that it was from my grandmother who passed away and she just gave it to me and told me that I cannot do it. >> Just as previously reported, these individuals attempted to come here to cash their bond, but the document turned out to be problematic. >> Same [snorts] thing, Ar same checks. >> Yeah, they look like they're printing them off a printer thing, but what's getting them caught up is this. You got a check dated for 92 and you were born in 96. >> Um, and are you going to families or are you coming from family? >> So, um, I well I was home and then I was going to my family and I was actually on my way back home >> cuz she hit Daytona, Orin Beach, a couple of other stores >> and they all denied her and she came here. They >> give me wet. You want me to get out so you can stand under there so you're not getting wet? We can if you want. >> You want to beat me your terrorist point? >> No, I'm serious. Yeah, >> so right now I don't know. I just read you those reds, you know, so I can ask specific questions. Okay. Um, for now, I don't see why we can't let you go unless they, you know, have a different story to tell or what else. So, we just got, you know, call saying that she wrote was in this part. So, that's why, you know, you're not free woman. It's up to you. Whatever. >> Mine. >> No, it's not for me >> because what is this? >> The female driver appeared completely tense in response to what the officer presented, causing police to question whether she knew anything about what was going on. >> Who's the person driving? And uh >> that's baby. >> Baby. Who's baby you? >> She's my friend. >> Your friend. Okay, I got you. Um was she with you all day or how did you baby her baby? >> Um she picked me up from my house. from your house. Okay. So, she went to your family and everything. >> Okay, I got you. All righty. Um, did did she knew that know that you had this bond and everything like that? >> Um, I mean, she dropped me off. >> I got you. Did you tell her what you uh you were coming in here for, or you just told her you need to go to the bank? >> No, I just told her I needed to come in here. >> Okay, I got you. No worries. All righty. Appreciate it. Keep hanging out for me, Sarge. I'm going to go talk to the driver. Hello. >> Hi. >> I'm Corpal Johnson. >> How you doing? >> I'm doing all right. Um, so like I was explaining to um I'm sorry who the >> Lana. >> Uhhuh. >> Lana. >> Lana. Yes. I explained to her why we're here. I don't know if officer go explained it to you. >> Yeah. So we're working a fraud. So, we're trying to make sure either prove that a fraud did occur or did not occur or at least, you know, find the probable cost. >> What though? >> Uh, what she was trying to cash. So, um, >> was it a check? >> Huh? >> A check? >> It >> I don't think it was a check. >> What do you think it was? >> She said it was from her great grandma or something. >> From her great grandma? >> Yeah. Okay. I got >> her mom gave them all. >> Okay. Did you say where she got it from? Like, specifically? >> No. So, the original plans were for me to go get a outfit cuz today is my 30th birthday. >> Happy birthday. [clears throat] >> Thank you. >> The female driver also presented a story similar to the other woman, suggesting this may have been prior collusion. At this point, police confronted the suspect directly in an attempt to extract the truth. >> Case that we worked this our shift in particular with these pretty much exact same checks. Um, >> it's an ongoing investigation and then people just keep coming to the same TD Bank with these same checks and they just keep getting arrested. >> Okay. >> I understand. Um, there's a first time for everything. Okay. So, it's time for you to be very honest about where the check came from and who gave it to you, where'd you get it, stuff like that, because you're looking at some pretty serious charges right now. You know that it's not real, right? >> No, I did not know it was real. >> You didn't know that it was real? >> I promise you. >> Okay. So, who gave it to you? >> Her outside. >> Yeah. >> What' she tell you to do with it? >> She told you to cash it. >> Okay. How did you guys end up linking up today? Like, what was her birthday? >> It's her birthday today. So, >> today's her birthday. Okay. It's her birthday. So, she was like, "Hey, do you want to hang out?" She was like, "Um, she was like, I have this thing where you can make the room." And I was like, "Is it like big?" And she was like, "Yeah, like it's perfectly fine." Just like when you have counterfeit money, you can feel the difference in the paper. >> Okay. >> I'm going to show my son. >> Okay. >> When we ask her, when we take her and put her in handcuffs right now, >> what is she going to tell us happened? Is she going to tell us you knew it was fake or is she going to tell us? >> She I don't think she's going to tell you she knew it was fake. >> She's going to have some reason why her your name is on it. >> She is she's the one that put my name >> cuz right now she's saying she has no idea where it came from and that this was all your ID. I'll be honest with you. That's what she's saying. >> It's not my ID. I've never done anything like this. I don't I don't do >> understand. I got you. The suspect then confirmed that the driver was involved in the incident and officers immediately began questioning her about the matter. >> Where there was some personal information being exchanged to put on these checks so that they could be cashed something along the lines of it's legit blah blah blah. >> So >> from me or from her boyfriend? >> She is saying that they came from you. >> Her boyfriend. >> Okay. Why would she tell us it was you? Maybe because she's >> Well, it's her boyfriend. She's been on the phone literally >> all day with her boyfriend. >> I got you. >> So, if you look at her call logs, she's been on the phone all day with her boyfriend. >> I got you. >> I'm just telling I'm just wanted to ask you because that's what she's telling us. She's telling us that she didn't know they were fake. That she cashed them because you told her to. >> So, what about her grandma giving them? I'll try to figure that out myself because apparently that's all a lie. >> No, I just think that she's trying to cover up some of >> I mean she she is providing incriminating information about herself, right? And implicating you by saying you gave them? >> No. >> She So you did not give her these checks. You don't know anything about these checks? her her I know her boyfriend does that type of stuff, but she told me that that was from her grandma that she was going to come with me for my birthday. >> I got you. Okay. Um >> I think her boyfriend >> and I've never met him. Like I've seen him on FaceTime but she has earphones in. So that's how she was communicating with him all day. Sergeant, what was that email again that she gave you? >> The story then introduced another suspicious man, but when police asked her to contact him to support her statement, she immediately changed the subject. >> I don't want to go to jail. >> I understand. >> I cannot go to jail. >> I understand. >> Like seriously, I cannot go to jail. >> I understand. >> My daughter is going to be devastated. >> I understand. Listen, like my surgeon has explained to you that when I initially >> I know how this plays out. They're going to come back and they're going to put my hand behind my back and I'm going to go to jail. I don't know that. I don't know that for a fact because here's here's >> I know you guys ran my name. I'm on probation. I know you guys that. >> What are you on probation for? >> Um from 2019. I have 156 days left. >> Okay. >> She told us her email was this. So I want to see something here once you're done on the phone. >> She confirmed that her email is email. >> Mhm. >> That's not it's not enough to put her behind it. >> We need to see more from this email. Oh no. >> I cannot go to jail. >> I got you. So >> I cannot go to jail. >> Right. That's what we're trying to figure out. >> She's a Look, whatever she said about me, that's cool. But she's a good girl and it's the boyfriend. I that that I know for sure. >> Do Do you have any information about this boyfriend that we'd be able to >> I just know that it's like Gucci or something, but I don't know no real name. I don't know him. >> I need proof that that came from that email. Like a >> No, not that one. The Yummylicious. cuz she's denying the little baby. >> You don't follow him on social media? You've never met him before? Nothing like that. >> Do you know anybody that besides her that's associated with Gucci? >> Anywhere that could lead us down a breadcrumb trail to >> Who is Gucci? >> Gucci's calling you. Okay. What What's is is it from a phone number or how's he calling you? >> Through Telegram. >> Through Telegram. Okay. It says so Gucci. >> So Gucci. Gotcha. Okay. You want to answer and see what he says? >> I'm scared. >> While the female driver continued to insist on her innocence, the woman inside confessed to everything. And that was the moment police knew exactly what they had to do next. >> Oh snap. Can you go back to it? It's >> that Yeah. Oh, she must have deleted it. She put that on. >> Well, it's on my body, but >> I don't know. >> Yep. She on her phone right now. If she deletes it, it goes off of your phone, too. >> The fair day back. She probably delete everything. Can't get rid of our messages. I know that for >> this is ours. >> Yeah, that's ours. You're going to jail. >> You're deleting things. >> No, I'm not deleting anything. Joe, >> I just saw everything I need to sell. See, >> but I didn't delete anything. I was sitting here googling the boy's name. >> I understand. We'll look at that and we're going to try to uh figure them out. But I saw everything I need to see on >> She deleted it. As we're reading the group chat, everything wipes off. >> Did you not see when he was calling me on in on Telegram? >> I saw, but based on the information he's saying, I'm telling you, >> take a phone call from me. >> You won't tell us the truth. So I don't I have no sympathy for us. >> A no time frame. >> Based on the script, both women were charged with uttering a forged instrument in check fraud. The driver, already on probation, was taken into custody without bond. While the investigation continued to identify the male suspect believed to be the mastermind behind the scheme, lying and trying to shift blame only made the situation worse. Taking responsibility early and avoiding illegal shortcuts could have prevented serious consequences. Next, the shoplifter turned out to be an employee and the daughter of a detective. >> You never watch Sir, I'm telling you to your face. You never watch me on a video cancel order. I'm telling you that because if you >> those receipts, >> okay, >> am I Your dad's a police officer? >> Uh my dad is a detective. On August 15th, 2025, police received a call from a Waw Wa store regarding an employee suspected of theft valued at $750 at the store. And viewers saw how she carried out her actions through the LP employees account. >> Did she leave? >> She she sprinted. >> Okay. >> Yeah. All right. >> She went get it. >> What um what did she take? Do you know? So, um, at this one she, um, she does a gift card and she brings a gift card through and then doesn't put any cash in the chill. And then there were other incidents where she, um, avoids items and then puts the cash underneath her um, >> is employee. >> An employee. >> Oh, it's an employee. Okay. Did you guys just like confront her about it today or something or >> So, yeah. Lost Mention was on the phone with her and then before you could even get her to give a statement, she went, "Go get it." >> You gave her a statement over the phone? >> Yeah. >> Okay. She was working here. >> She was working today. Yeah. >> Yeah. And all these incidents, did you have it on video? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> So, a lot of these are voids. So, she would bring the customer through. >> Okay. >> Void it >> and then >> and then um take the money. >> Okay. And >> instead of cashing out the customer, >> so she would ring them, act like they were or ring them up, void it out of the register and >> they would give her the money and then she would void it >> out of the register. Yeah. And then take >> cash it out and she would take the cash. >> Yeah. So, she the way she does it, she's sneaky. She puts so if they need a receipt she'll put like a cup of ice in which 50 cents >> so it's still through the reg register and then she'll just void the other item that she's taking the money. >> Okay, hold on. >> So she rings up. So the customer gets two cartons of cigarettes new ports. >> Two new ports. Okay. >> And a um large mixed fruit. And then she puts that cup of ice coat that cup of ice coat in. And then what she does is she'll cancel the she the customer paid cash. >> Okay. >> So she cancelled before she hit cash she canceled um out the the cigarettes. >> She canceled out the cigarette. >> Yeah. >> Okay. And then um puts it in under like an unknown but she canceled it and then she just keeps the cash after she cashes it out. >> Okay. And and you said all this is on video. >> Yeah. Everything seemed clear and after several weeks of further investigation, police approached the suspect at her home where she appeared visibly panicked by their sudden presence. Hello home by chance. >> Tamaya. >> Yeah, we have this at her listed address. No. >> Taya. Deisha. >> Is she here or no? Hey, Dea. >> How's it going? Hey, we got to talk to you about something real quick. >> You're Tasa, right? >> Deasia. >> Yeah. Tamaya. >> Tamaya. Yes. >> Yeah. All right. If if you don't mind setting that down for me. >> I'm giving it to my camera. >> Oh my goodness. I'll explain to you my explain. >> I'll explain everything to you. >> It's okay, ma'am. >> Reys. >> Ma'am, uh I'm done 12 and nine alpha. We'll be switching to division one. >> I'll explain, man. I'll explain everything to you. >> Just switch the one. Uh, can you put your feet in, please? >> Thank you, ma'am. We'll explain everything to you. Okay, hun. >> Yeah. Uh, >> immediately after successfully detaining the suspect, police proceeded to explain what had happened to her family members. >> Hey, how are you? Is that mom or you sister? >> Grandma. >> Okay. Are you related to her or no? >> I'm her girlfriend. >> Oh, okay. >> I'm grandma. >> We're Thank you. Uh, so I don't know the details of the case, right? But At one point at one point she made a mistake, you know, involved some fraudulent activity as far as I know cuz I'm not the investigating officer. >> Mhm. >> But there's there's active process. Okay. So we come, we make contact. Um I mean if you like a followup, we can give you a call back with more details. I'm sure she she'll bond out and explain everything to you. >> Fraudulent activity? Yes. like something with with like I said, I'm not the investigating officer, but all I see is that she has a active problem cause an arrest. So, I go pick her up. Okay, >> go sit up and just face the face the car. >> Anything on you? >> Anything on you? >> She has PC. >> You have a problem. >> Probable cause. Probable cause arrested. That's why we came to pick her up. He's going to get the details once. Just give him a second. >> Peace of Thank you. Mario, what happened? Mario, what happened? >> Go. >> Yeah, I'm sorry. I mean, >> once once she gets booked into county, they'll they'll set a bond for her if if there is one depending on the circumstances and everything like you explain, like probation, she's any cases, anything like that. Um, we'll set the bond and then they'll know then when like how much it would be to post again. >> Okay. >> Shortly afterward, the woman was taken to meet investigators where she was informed of the reason behind the situation. Although police withheld the key details, she quickly grasped what was truly behind it. >> So, I was assigned a case involving Wawa. My understanding is that you are an employee of Wawa, right, for about 4 months. What happened there? >> He was basically saying that I was voiding something. >> Mhm. >> And putting putting it on a gift card or whatever. But >> I'm sorry, Tamaya. I didn't hear what you just said. >> He said I was voiding something. >> Voiding? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Did he tell you what you were voiding? >> Um, no. And then he was like asking me like um what was I doing with the the money that I was voiding with or whatever. >> Uhhuh. But I don't you need a manager to void. I didn't know I didn't know how to void or anything. So I didn't know what he was talking about. But then he was like, you know, you do know what I'm talking about. And then he was like, oh, you've been voiding stuff and putting it on a gift card, some stuff like that. But the only thing that I've ever like, you listening? >> I am listening. >> I just want to show you exactly what he's talking about. Go ahead. >> Yeah. So the only thing that I ever put on a gift card is like tips. And he never told me that I couldn't put my tips on gift card. How many times did you put your tips in a gift card? >> Uh, how many times have I got a tip? Hold on a second. >> You need help? >> No. Okay. >> How many times I got a tip? >> About how many times? Estimated. >> I get tips all the time. >> One, four. >> Five times, 10 times. How many times have you put your tips on a gift card? >> Every time I get a tip, like I always get a tip, no matter how how long I work, whenever I >> But can you estimate how many times did you get a tip? >> Uh, probably like I didn't really start accepting. Well, I didn't really start knowing that I can get tips until a foyer told me. And that was in August. >> In August. >> Yeah. >> The woman attempted to deny the allegations, claiming it was related to her tips. But what she did not realize was that police already knew everything. >> There's got to be an answer cuz if you want me to be honest with you, you got to be honest with me. So, I think we're past cuz we're we're past that. Okay, just remember I've looked at video already >> and I spoke that man's name. >> His name is Davidson. >> Mhm. >> Davidson, you guys were having a conversation and when he brought up some of these allegations, you left. >> Oh, no. >> You went to the bathroom and then you went home. >> So, what he So, let me just to show you an example. >> All right. So this is your receipt. This is you. You were on the cashier. Do you recall this transaction? A lady purchased and I know this is from July July 6, but a lady purchased a carton of cigarettes 9735. >> Another carton of cigarettes 9735 and large bowl of fruit. You cancelled the cardinal cigarette, the cardinal cigarette, the fruit bowl, and you rung up a cup of ice. Do you recall that transaction? >> No. What if I told you that you took the $200 that that lady gave you and you counted it on camera and you put that money to the side inside your drawer? Do you recall that? >> Yeah, I recall. I always take money and put it inside my drawer. Yes. >> Okay. So, why did you cancel those three items and the lady walked out with those three items? >> Sir, like I told you, I was never trained on the register and the register had a lot of counter problems. So, if I did, no, I'm not going to say if I did it. >> Do Do we agree that you cancel three items here? At least in this example, >> I don't >> when you look at your name. >> Faced with all the evidence presented, the woman was unable to respond and her attitude showed that she believed police were deliberately targeting her. Why did you then cancel 76 items? >> I'm trying to understand, sir. You guys said you have to be fair with I'm trying to be fair with you and I'm trying to be fair. You got to take some ownership. >> No, listen sir. I'm I'm and I'm taking ownership. If I knew >> What's the ownership that you're taking? >> I'm taking this is the ownership that I'm taking. >> Yes. >> If I wasn't trained on the register, right? I wasn't trained on the register and I just told you that Wawa register does have a lot of problems to where when you press certain stuff, it clears it out. every anybody that you talk to from Waw Wa, if you go there to talk to them from Wawwa, they will uh let you know that 76 I'm confused. That's why 76 76 items of ice. >> No, no, no. You cancel. So, let me show you receipts. >> Here's another receipt. >> Mhm. >> You cancel cancel cancel all of those items. >> And where did the camera? You took the money. >> I took the money. Why did How could you say that? I took the money. >> You cancelled it 26 times. >> Okay. You said 76. >> Yeah. When I count. So, so for the record, >> I have a staple, >> but here's here's here's one receipt. Let me uh >> You don't have to count it. I'm actually >> No, no, I'm just going to show you everything they gave me. >> Uh-huh. >> Cancelled. >> Mhm. >> Sale of a cup of ice. >> Mhm. >> You were very good at it, Tamaya. >> Actually, I want to tell you, you were very good at it. Even in your mannerisms, I even told Miss uh Broxson, I think Broxen is Broxen. I said she's very good. She's very good at the cashier. Like you're very smooth. >> No, I actually >> here. Cancel. Cancel. 50 cents cup of ice. >> Okay. You're showing. >> So it's 76 times. >> You said 76. >> That's not an accident. >> No, I never said it was an accident. Did I? >> In addition, she did not only attempt to defraud by cancelling transactions, but she also took cash directly from the drawer. A point police explicitly addressed. >> Cash the You grab the cash from the drawer. You also grab the $200. >> You conceal. You go and get the the the uh you uh dep do a night uh the drop underneath where you put each $20 bill, >> right? But you keep the $200. >> I keep the $200. >> Yes. And then you go get your cell phone. Hold on. Then your cell phone is over here to the left of the counter. >> Then you get the the cell phone and you still have the $200 concealed underneath your cell phone. >> Okay. Now I'm going to I'm going to actually I'm not going to exit anything. >> Yeah. >> Um >> so when I do a safe drop before I do a safe drop when I do a safe drop >> and now that you said it was 9:07 so that mean I was leaving at either 9 or 10. >> Um that's close for me to go home. >> So when you when I do safe drops I take my tip money out. I count my tip money out and I keep my tip money with me. Now let me show you how the gift card came about. So those are no no listen to me. I'm trying to explain. I know it's two different genders, but I'm trying to explain it to you. So, when I was talking with my manager one day, right, she was telling me when when I told her, you know, like I get tips or whatever and like when it's time for me to do my account, then that's when I take my tips out my account, right? >> During the investigation, police learned that the suspect's father was also an officer. So, they requested to speak with him, but this appeared to make her anxious. >> I don't know. >> Am I Your dad's a police officer? >> Uh, my dad's a detective, but Broward County. >> In Broward? >> Yeah. Do you mind if I speak with your dad? >> No. >> You don't mind or you don't mind? >> No, I don't mind. >> You don't mind? Okay. You have a good relationship with dad? >> He already told me like he already basically explained like what happened and how it looks and stuff like that. So, I already know how you're picturing it. But, >> um, can I give dad's number? Would you give me the passcode to Does your phone have a passcode? >> Uh, >> you know about heart. >> Two, two questions. one. What would you like for me to say to the state attorney's office >> about this whole incident? >> I don't I don't know what you can say. Well, you're gonna say what? >> No, I'm asking you an honest question. >> I already know what I typed. >> Uhhuh. >> And he said it. It's articulation and it's facts. >> Okay. >> So, let me So, okay. You don't have any >> That's your job, right? >> Number two, >> please explain to me why you charge 50 cents of a cup of ice >> over over 25 years. >> Sir, like I said, I was not trained on the register. It's a simple question. I have another a lot of problems. I do not ever >> am that's not a problem. It's it's over 25 times. >> Okay. Okay. And that's where and then if they see and that's where someone should have talked to me and asked me, you know, what am I doing? That's that that why does that keep coming up and saying that I don't I don't know. >> I don't I was not trained on the register, right? For me to even know how to even bring up a cup of ice. A cup of ice. You can't scan a cup of ice. >> You were very smooth on that register. >> I don't >> You were extremely smooth on that register. >> You were very good. >> It's not, sir. Like I said, I was not trained on the register. I paid attention to other employees to where I know how to take the money, put the money on the gas, and do my job. That's all I know. >> The POV show chose what you was. >> In the end, the suspect was charged with grand theft and organized scheme to defraud. Abusing trust and denying clear evidence only made the situation worse, proving that accountability and honesty are unavoidable, no matter personal connections or excuses. In the next case, meet Karen while she was shoplifting. Get in. You kick me, you're going to catch a felony. >> I don't give a about no felonies. >> All right. Going to have to call all your great. >> You playing with my name and I got kids. >> On July 4th, 2023, police were dispatched to a retail store following a report of a suspicious woman suspected of shoplifting. Here's what happened after officers arrived at the scene. >> We just got a suspect in here. She got a big curve and I asked her to leave her purse up front. She didn't need it. And as I was talking to her, she like she didn't hear me. She got that big old hoodie on and I just want her out because it's stabbing us and doing what we have to watch her. She got the big purse. I couldn't even see her face covering up there. >> So where is she at? >> Right there in me. >> And she's wearing what? She got that gray hoodie. See the hood? >> Okay. Did you actually physically see her taking things or what? >> No, no. I just want her out because I asked her I to leave her big bags up front. She said she wasn't going to leave her bag up front and then I said no bag. She said she wouldn't do >> Okay. So, you just want to move along? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> Immediately afterward, the officers quickly approached the suspect. From her oversized clothing alone, everything already seemed suspicious. >> Ma'am. Hi. How are you? All right. So, the store does not want you shopping here anymore. So, we need you to go to the front with us real quick. Okay. Do you have an ID on you? What's that? No. Okay. Well, hang tight. We'll walk up here to the front and uh we're going to get your information real quick cuz they don't want they want you to trust out you. >> Well, they asked you to leave your bag and you didn't want to leave your bag. So, >> well, that's a stair right is a store. You're do you have your ID? You're not free to leave. Do you understand that? >> Okay. Where's your ID? >> I don't have ID. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> I'm sorry. >> Okay. You don't have an ID? >> Okay. And the manager didn't talk to you at all? >> What's your What's your last name? last name >> because they want you trespass from the store. So provide this deputy your provide this deputy your information and you'll be on your way in just a minute. >> No, you cannot. >> Last name. I promise you this is going to get a lot worse if you don't tell your name and follow right now. All they want. >> She had no ID and refused to provide her name. Behaviors commonly seen in offenders. Nevertheless, the officers had to issue a formal warning to the woman. All they want you is to give you give us your name and then they're going to trespass you from the store. You're not allowed in the store anymore. That's all this is. But if you resist and you don't give us your name and stuff, then it goes. I'm sorry. Spell it. S A X first name. Where do you have an ID out of Florida? Like before it got stolen? Was it a Florida ID? >> Okay. So you but you do have a Florida identification, correct? >> Okay. So you have a driver's license or an ID card. >> Okay. How old are you? >> How old are you? >> Look, you have you have a warrant or something? >> No. >> Okay. >> Okay. Let me clarify it. The store has a policy. No big bags inside. The manager said she talked to you, asked you to leave your bag at the front. You refused to do so. She wants you removed and she wants you trespassed. So, we're gathering your information just to do a trespass card. That's it. Now, if you're lying about your name, >> this is going to go a different route. You're going to go to jail. So, this is your one opportunity and that's it. >> No, this is your one opportunity. >> It doesn't matter. They asked you to leave it at the front. You didn't want to. >> I had the whole time I've been in this >> again. So, is this your name? Is this your information? >> Okay. >> How old are you? >> How old are you? >> The woman claimed to be 23 years old, but had no documents to verify her identity. So, the officers had to take measures to confirm it. >> Do you have a Florida IDO driver's license? You don't You don't have anything. You've never had anything. You're 23 years old and you've never had an identification card. Okay? Cuz here's what we're going to do. We're going to walk out to my car and I'm going to put your finger on a fingerprint scanner because that name you gave us is not coming back. So, this is your one and only chance to start coming clean. If you lied about your name, I'm gonna find out because now you're indefinitely not going anywhere until we figure out who who you are. >> I know my rights. >> Okay. Well, you don't know your rights. Clearly, >> like, why did y'all call the police? Just because I got headphones and I'm >> She asked us to come in here and deal with it. So, now we're here and now now your name's not coming back. So, that's a problem. >> Last chance cuz we're going to go out there and figure it out. >> Julia, real name. This is how you avoid going to jail. >> It doesn't matter. Last chance. >> Very very last chance. Julie, >> we [music] >> If you give us your name and we run your name, then you can leave and never come back. But if you do not give us your name, the right name, you leave in handcuffs 100%. >> Please think carefully and anytime. Turn around. >> Turn around. >> What? I didn't do nothing. I know my rights. >> Do not resistor. You will go to the ground. >> I know my rights. I did not. >> Put your hands behind your back or you're going to go down to the ground. >> Do not pull away. Let's redirect over here to the wall. No, >> do not. >> Julia, >> what what am I being arrested for >> right now? because we can't identify it >> right now. You're going to go to jail for resisting if you don't knock it off. >> You're being detained. Drop the phone. >> It seemed the woman had been trying to stall the officers. And when confronted with the situation, she became furious as all her efforts had failed. >> You're going to you're going to go straight to the ground in about 2 seconds. >> You act like it's hard to put the handcuffs on. Just put them on. >> Stop pulling away. >> Watch. I sit at this [ __ ] That hoe got me up and I know that. Y'all lying on me. Watch that [ __ ] better quit her job. But I'm in this. You'd already been on your way. >> For what? I didn't do nothing. >> Well, now you're under arrest for resisting. So now you're going to jail. Resisting. Oh yeah, you are. You're going to jail. You're done. I gave you We gave you enough opportunities. All you had to do is give us your name. You wanted to play games. So want to play games? We'll play games. >> We can play games cuz when I get out a never stop. I want to kill myself in that. >> All right. Well, now you're on sidewalk. >> Ah, y'all. Another man appeared nearby, suspected to be his accomplice, and the two exchanged a quick look before parting ways. After a brief greeting, the suspect confidently pushed the unpaid cart toward the exit, unaware that police were already closing in. The moment he stepped outside, the entire scene erupted into a chaotic chase through the store. This was what happened next. >> Checking for the darts. >> Close right here. >> Yeah. I don't know where. At that moment, officers stepped into the loss prevention office to verify more details and it became clear that the man had been extremely calculated in carrying out his wrongdoing. >> This initially came down off everything. >> Mhm. >> Yeah. Was looking for an exit. He already closed our guard at this point. >> I was wondering if he's the fire exit. Happy he didn't, but more suspicious. But he paused for a little bit. >> That's when he went to grab bags. >> Yep. Just he checked in there trying to see if there was a way he could get the guard center. Like I said, we locked it. >> That's when >> he bags his items. >> Yep. So, we don't I don't actually have him bagging items. He uh was in a blind spot. >> Mhm. >> But there, >> but you do have him not going to a register. >> Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. >> There we go. That's >> Yeah. Eventually. >> Is there any way you can get all of those different uh >> Oh, yeah. All one disc. And he revealed that his mindset had already been braced for whatever consequences came next. >> It's all the karma that I just couldn't I'm going to be honest with you, man. I couldn't work cuz I had a violation of probation. You see what I'm saying? Yo, is this the jail? >> Yeah. >> Oh, man. They let people out every day on here. LCJ 610. >> Hey, man. Could you make sure I get good people around me, man? >> Huh? Huh? What's your name is? Edward. >> What? >> What's your name? >> My name is Murphy. >> Murphy? >> Yeah. >> Hey, Murphy. Man, >> I appreciate the talk, man. >> It's not a problem. >> I hate that I even had to do on the end of this. >> It's not fun in here. >> It's not It's not fun in there. >> Not fun at all. >> What they how they jail is? >> I don't know the inside. I don't have a prison. >> Oh, y'all do have a prison down here. >> Yeah. >> What prison is it? >> What? >> What prison is it? >> State prison. >> Oh, that's a state prison. That's why. >> Oh, yeah. >> He was ultimately taken to the Vald Dosta State Prison and charged with petty theft, obstruction of a law enforcement officer, and an active warrant that had been waiting for her. Taking the easy way out only led him deeper into trouble. Responsibility and honesty would have spared him far more pain than any quick shortcut ever could. Next, the mother and her daughter together searched for a silver bracelet for themselves. >> Put your hands on your back, both of them. >> What is this? >> That's a uh device. >> Yeah. >> On March 6th, 2024, police responded to a report of a theft that had already taken place. The suspects were believed to be a mother and daughter with what seemed like a perfect plan. Both of them filled carts with merchandise, removed the security tags, placed them into a bag, [music] and hung it back inside the store. They then exited separately, acting as if they were completely unrelated. What they did not know was that police were already waiting outside. Hey, come here. Come here. Drop your bag. Drop your bag. >> Mhm. >> Drop your bag. >> What's your name? Open your hands. >> Drop that. >> What's your name? >> Edna. >> Don't Don't be reaching your pockets. What's your name? >> Edna. >> Edna. Okay. I'm Officer Fosu with Mosquito. Okay. We got called about suspicious activity, possibly a retail theft going on. >> Okay. >> Okay. What's your name again? >> Edna. >> Okay. The woman was panicked by the presence of the police. She appeared to understand what was happening and did not deny it when she was arrested and she was quickly handcuffed. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> You don't have any needles on you, do you? >> No. Do you? >> No. >> You sure? >> Okay. If I get stuck, I'm going to be pissed. >> No. >> You don't got no needles on you? >> No. I wouldn't I wouldn't lie to you. >> Okay. Right now, you're being detained. And we're actually going to walk up around this passenger side just cuz this lady's going to leave and I don't want >> to be standing on that side of the car. >> The police attempted to move her behind the vehicle to prevent her daughter from witnessing what was happening. And at that moment, they explained the reason that led to the current situation. Okay. >> Yeah. >> You can throw her in the back if if you want for now. Do >> you have your gloves? >> Yeah. >> Just do a quick search. for days. >> Okay, look. Right now, you're under arrest for retail theft. Okay, we have information from the store from inside. They watched you push your cart out of the store for all those items without making an attempt to pay for any of them. >> Okay, I'm not going to ask you any questions right now, but I'm telling you that's why you're under arrest. I'm going to search you. Do you have anything that's going to stick me, poke me? Needles? Knives? Nothing like that? You sure? Okay. Just your feet for me. >> I'm going to unzip you. >> Raise your hands for me. >> What is this? That's a uh device. Edna [music] was sentenced to 4 months in jail while Precious received 90 days in jail with one year of probation. And together they were ordered to pay nearly $1,600 in fines. Calm denial and careful planning meant nothing once clear evidence appeared.
