All right, just So, I'm trying to sit you up with your back right here so you can breathe. >> [music] >> Okay? You want to sit up with your back up? You sit up you can breathe a little better. Ma'am. Hello. What's your name, ma'am? What's your name, ma'am? Hello. She says that she has a Got a 3-year-old here. 8- or 9-year-old in the car by itself. It was clear she had tried to use a family member as an excuse, but when officers checked her claim, the truth behind that story began to unravel. They can't ask her to verify that she had They didn't have a child in the car. We have a green Volvo with the windows down like she explained. There's no child in there. Precious green Mercedes. Okay, let me go over here. Miss So, number one concern besides your health right now is your son. You did mention you had your son in your in your car. All right, what car did you drive? Yeah. Okay, we can't leave your son in your car. Do you know what car you had? What are you car were you driving? She had a car. Yeah. Hey, what car did she say she was driving? An older model, uh, green Mercedes. E320. Okay, 10-4. Um, she's not answering. So, that's all we have to go off of. There's no kid in there, then I guess there wasn't a kid to begin with. So, there was no family member in the car as she had claimed, but the officers uncovered new findings, which may have been the real reason she was so desperate to leave. I didn't see a mag in it, but it's in there. Check her Get that wallet in the back. No, no mag Uh Yeah. Yeah. There's a There's a wallet back there, too. I can't see. Is this her? She was ultimately charged with shoplifting and obstruction of justice. Avoiding the truth and trying to manipulate the situation only escalated the consequences. Cooperating and taking responsibility from the beginning could have prevented the situation from spiraling into more serious charges. Next, we moved on to a group that showed absolutely no shame. You Why'd your buddy leave you right now, man? Stop. Go away. You can leave that right there. Oh, no, that's Okay, I thought you grabbed that bag that was over there. The suspects appeared confused by what was happening, but in reality, they knew exactly why this encounter was taking place. Because when they were accused, their reaction showed no surprise. All right, you're under arrest for shoplifting. Do you understand that? Um I um I didn't go anywhere. No, you you've been cooperating. I appreciate it. I saw you going. I appreciate you stopping for me. Did you guys stop? I'll go over all that in a minute, all right? Sounds like we got the other car stopped anyway right now. I'm just trying to help you here. All right. Yeah, thank you. I appreciate it. Like I said, I'll talk to you in a minute. Got a lot going on. Got a bunch of you guys out here right now. Got to wait till my guys get out here. Say it one more time, let's go. Wait. All right, so I'm going to explain everything to my sergeant here and this is why you're in custody, okay? I pulled up, you're standing back there, you're on your phone, you're talking to a male that was walking out, so there was a male that walked out with proceeds and this subject right here. When I pulled in you looked back, you saw my truck, you turned, you looked at him. Hold on. >> you. Now go ahead. You saw me and then you turned, you looked at him, he looked at you, looked at me and then he went back into the store, hid some things. Ooh, I wasn't on the phone with nobody. >> involved, the bigger guy. So he goes back towards the store and I see you walking towards this car, the car that just took off that he tried to get in. Okay? >> but >> Can I ask you something? There was nothing on me and I didn't have anything to do >> So that that's that's all right. Uh stay with her cuz I got to double check over here. In reality, the woman in the white shirt knew exactly that the theft was taking place, but after being detained, she still tried to make excuses to deny her responsibility. All right. So can you give me a reason why you're out here? You have Is your car out here right now? No. How did you get here today? With some friends. Was it the friends in the Honda? Yeah, but I didn't shoplift. >> Okay. So what was the point of coming here today? It may not be your point, but you tell me you can tell me about them. I don't know, honestly. I honestly don't know. Where did you guys come from New York today? Yeah. Okay, so you drove down from New York, is this the first place that you guys went to? Yes. Are you staying at a hotel nearby? Staying at a friend's house? So from Staten Island to Marlton? Yeah. Today? And this is the first stop is a Lululemon. Okay. I didn't go in over there. I didn't go in. >> Did you go in the store at all? Yes. Okay. Did you look around? Did you talk to anyone? >> around. Okay. Did you pick anything up? By looking at the stuff? Yeah. It's okay, you're shopping, right? At any point did you give anything to anyone else involved? Uh no. Okay. Who's this in the car right here? My friend. Okay. Do you know their name? Not her real name. Okay, what's the name she goes by? Chanel. Chanel. Okay, so that's Iyana, you're not sure that that's her real name? Oh yeah, a real name. Yeah. Her real name is Iyana, but you know her as Chanel. >> Yes. Okay. It was clear that her statements were completely evasive, as if she was trying to hide whatever she could. In addition, the police also raised suspicion that she was acting as a lookout in this theft operation. So, you went into the store, Mhm. shopped around, Yes. Looked around. >> looked around, what and then you walked out. Why is it when I came in you were all the way back here? >> I honestly did not even see you. Okay. Honestly. Did you see them? >> out, I was looking for the car, actually. I was like, "Where the hell is the car?" Okay. So, you're looking for the car, that's why you were back there? Yeah, I was looking for the car. I was like, "Where the hell could we park?" And you don't know who's driving that car, who else is in it? No, I don't know him, no. Okay. How did you get wrapped up in this whole thing with these people? Because they said they was going shopping, so I was like, "Okay, let me go." Shopping means a 2 and 1/2 hour car ride? Yeah. Listen, if they shop where they want to shop. You probably passed I have no clue. They shop where they want to shop, you know? Yeah. Yeah, you you probably passed about 10 Lululemons before you got to this one. Got it. I'm not the driver. I know, but you don't understand how you're involved? Me being involved in me not taking anything does not have nothing >> a charge in New Jersey. There's two things, so anytime So, we have this operating, right? This one walks out of the store with a bag of clothing. Okay. Now, they get the charge Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. They get charged with shoplifting. Okay. We have two other people right now detained who did shoplift, same thing. We have three Oh, no, no, no. I'm just explaining everything to you. and why you're detained, why I didn't detain you, that's why I'm allowed to do what I Yes. You have three people shoplifting. You have a fourth person that was in the store. You might not have walked out with anything, but in the state of New Jersey, we have something called a conspiracy. Conspiracy to commit, right? Do you understand what that means? It's the same exact charge. Conspiracy to commit shoplifting. >> stop me? You said I was not under arrest. >> No, no, you're detained right now. Okay. Which is why I'm talking to you. The amount of stolen merchandise was determined to be $3,000, and the other suspects who had fled earlier were quickly apprehended by the police. All right, so listen. Here, come back in. Try not to sit on that seat belt for me. Okay. I just don't want you to sit on the seat belt. I got to put it back on you. All right. Sit up straight for me. Here come coming this way. And this cuff is really tight. Here, sit back. Sit back. No, no, no. Sit back. Sit back. Here, lean forward. I'm just going to go behind you. I can't. The cuff is tight. Listen, which one? Which one? This one. one? No, there's there's enough room. It's just don't move your hand. Every time you twist your hand Every Like if you Like it's supposed to be that way. So, if you start twisting your hand the other way, it's it's going to it's going to pop off. It's not going to be comfortable for you. So, um we're going to get take you to the station, we got to do everything. I'm sure you talked to the other guys. All right. So, look. Right now, man, this is in the state of New Jersey, shoplifting, okay? It's a I think you're out of third degree. It's not a big deal. It's honestly something you don't Hold on. Listen. Stop. You're being charged with it no matter what you say right now, you're being charged with it, okay? I'm letting you know that you are being charged with shoplifting. It's a third degree crime. It could be released on a summons if we know who you are, and we know you don't have any warrants, we can get you out of here. If we don't know who you are, we have to take you back to the station, we have to fingerprint you, okay? We're going to reveal who you are then, and once we do that, we'll hit you with whatever warrants as well as additional charges as as obstruction, whatever else we see fit, okay? We do that, then that third degree charge uh potentially becomes a warrant, and you spend the night in our jail instead of going home. All right. So, I'm going to ask you one more time, what is your name? Vincent Brown, I'm not The number of suspects did not stop at three, and this suspect clearly knew that his other associates had already been caught. When he was stopped, he immediately gave an even more unreasonable excuse. Step out of the car. You're going to be detained. You're not under arrest at this time, but you need to step out of the car. Put your phone down for me. He said he said I'm not arrested, so You're being detained. You're not arrested at this time. >> Can I call my Can I call my family? >> You're being detained right now, okay? Step out of the vehicle. I didn't do anything. Okay, just step out of the vehicle, okay? You're being detained, okay? Because you're in question for a vehicle that was left scene shoplifting, okay? Okay, we're going to figure that out. That's why you're being detained. That's why you're not under arrest at this moment. Whatever I had was was going to get, I put it on the counter. Yep. I'm just going to put you in the back of my car. I'm going to drive back over to the Promenade. I'm going to drive back over to the Promenade. The clown? The Promenade. Where you guys were just at. All suspects were charged with organized retail theft and conspiracy to commit theft. When people choose to stay involved in wrongdoing, even indirectly, they risk facing the same consequences as those who commit the act, because in the eyes of the law, silence and participation can be just as guilty as action. In the next case, this woman suddenly turned aggressive in an unexpected way. No. Are you Are you insane? Are you insane? Are you insane? You don't push a cop. On the 23rd of November, 2024, officers approached a woman because they suspected she was involved in a theft. More specifically, she tried on bras in the fitting room and walked out wearing them instead of bringing them to pay. Here was what happened next. I tried two bras on and they were too small for me. Okay. Yes, sir. But the ones you have on now, we found the tags for in the room. Oh. So, you're just going to have to pay for them, right? This is my bra, though. You want me to pay for two bras that don't fit me? But you walked out the dressing room with a pink and a black bra you were wearing in the bathroom. Now you're coming out the bathroom with a different set of bras on. I tried a black on. Yeah, we can't see it with your shirt. See it. Cool. The concern is that you're using an item you're not paying for. That's That's the concern, right? Yes. Apparently, but I'm You know what? I'll pay for it. Give me a large and I'll pay for it. You want a large but don't want me to call the other officer? So, um do you have You have your ID? So, what So, what happened there? You You obviously went in there and they weren't to your liking, right? >> Yeah, and they were too big. >> Okay. They were I'm sorry, they were too small. They were medium. They were too small. Okay. And so >> And I brought out the fiance's shirts and I got one shirt that I'm fine The woman completely denied the allegations, but the suspicion only escalated as she began to share more about her situation. Thank you. Are you living at any particular address now? I I don't. I'm Homeless, apparently? Yes. Okay. I'm staying at Safe Harbor right now. Do you know Oh, okay. What about Safe Harbor? Have you tried Safe Harbor? Um I actually talked to Officer Pony about um doing Tent City. Okay. Yeah. Yeah, he's the guy He's the guy to stay in contact with, okay? >> Yes, yes, sir. All right. Um nobody can make you pay for the things, but the thing is if you walk out of the store and they and you have them on you, it would technically be theft. >> I'll pay I'll pay for them, but I'm going to return them because they're not going to fit me. Well, that's the thing. Their concern is that you have them on you somewhere. Or you left them somewhere, maybe in the bathroom. So, we're just making sure. >> There's no bathroom here. >> Okay. Well, let's show Let's show Hey. Um she doesn't have them in her purse. So >> don't know what Is it the black one that you have on the black one she has on? >> these are mine. What? Okay, where's the Do you have the Do you have the pink one? >> No, I don't. prevent this whole I don't have the pink one. They didn't fit me. Okay, but did you leave them in the dressing room? I brought them back out. And where did you put them? I set them on the counter and then the lady asked me where they were and I gave them to her along with the other short or the pair of pants Okay. and the um shirt and the sweatshirt. Okay. All right, so you don't you don't need them then. No, I I mean I I How much are they? You guys said they're like $21 and no, I don't. It was clear she couldn't afford them yet still tried them on and her story was inconsistent. However, everything gradually became more tense when she started getting upset for no reason. Well, we're just trying to understand. Well, $17.99 for two bras. Give me a large. No, no, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. Hold on. No, no. Ashley, Ashley, Ashley. This pisses me off. I know. Listen, listen, listen. I'm trying to work with you. I'm on your side. I'm trying to understand the full story. My my >> is that lady was rude to me. Okay. Which which lady? The black lady. Okay. What she do? >> And then she was rude to me and then treat me like I'm a piece of sh Listen, we're not >> I ate all of them. >> no, no, no. No, you didn't. Just show me where you They didn't even need the bras. Just show me where you put them and we'll work it out. I gave them to her. Okay. Okay. All right. Well, then if you're good, You know what? I'll pay for the $21 bras, but I'm going to return them because I can't afford $21. >> You don't need to pay for something that you didn't buy, but we're They were concerned because they thought you might be wearing them in the bathroom. That's all. Okay. That's all. And if you're not, you're not. But if you are, they just want the product back. Where am I That's all. As things turned uncomfortable for the woman, she even began acting embarrassingly, showing no concern for the consequences. What happens? No, no, no, no. Ashley, don't do that. Ashley, don't do don't I just want to say like there's I know I'm in public. That That's the concern. That was the only concern, okay? You don't got to get all upset. >> You know, I am upset because I'm trying to grocery shop and I'm trying to get back home. Well, we can help you get back home. What's that? What What's what? I don't I just picked up the car. Excuse me. What happened? Did you roll close? Oh, yeah, yeah. Excuse me. Ashley, would you happen to have this in your purse by chance? >> No. No. I washed it home. You're not wearing those? You found it? Okay, so Ashley, listen, listen, listen, Ashley. You just asked me to She just put this back. She put this thing on me. You're not wearing these. I didn't That's not me. >> wearing them. You're not wearing them. Is that the No, man. I just got these from the dollar store. Okay, Ashley, the bra we were talking about is right there. So, you did have it at some point and put it in the bathroom. Okay, so But it's not on me. Ashley I paid for it. You want to trespass? Yeah. Let's go to the front. I can't get nothing. So, the woman was only given a trespass order and could have left easily, but things didn't end there when she began directing aggressive remarks at the officers. Ashley Ashley, no. Are you Are you insane? Are you insane? Are you insane? >> doing nothing wrong. You don't push a cop. You don't push a cop. You don't do that. Well, you did and now look what happens. No. Stop it. She sat there and lied and then went She >> Nobody lied. She didn't. I didn't get in her face. Part of the reason she was detained was that she had actually stolen a set of fake nails from the store and the staff were working to confirm that at the time. Okay, so we're going to make sure. What do you think that this is yours? We're going to rewind it. I asked you if you took my nails. They were in my car. You said no. They're in your car all over the ground with the glue. >> No, those are mine. I said they're on my hands. Stop talking, Savannah. No, you stop lying. They're on my hands. I know cuz you glued them on. No, I didn't. I promise. I got them for $5 at the Five Below. Well, you said you got them at the mall earlier. So, make your mind up. I didn't I didn't say anything. But, either way, I'm going to charge you with the sports bra cuz you still wear it. Mine? The black one that goes with the pink one cuz it's the same as your other one. Okay, so I can't wear two [ __ ] bras? Sports bra. We found the pink one, but you got the >> I don't care if you found the pink one. I didn't steal your bra. Like talking to me like I'm Joe. She was charged with battery on an officer, petty theft, and disorderly conduct. A small dishonest act, when mixed with denial and loss of control, can quickly spiral into far more serious consequences. Next, this woman proved to be just as bad as the previous case. I'm not. Well, I'm not doing anything. What is the problem? What do you have? What's your first name? >> What do you have? >> to give me your first name. What do you have? On September 9th, 2025, police stopped the U-Haul truck after noticing signs linking it to multiple retail theft cases in a Walmart parking lot. At the scene, officers clearly presented their suspicions, but the suspects appeared completely uncooperative. So, so your your final offer and you stay quiet. Okay. So, right now you're being detained. Open the door for me. Open the door now. After the door Open the door and say you're going to open it. I'm trying to figure out why. You You caused the destruction of the property. So, open the door. Is that the deal or not? Open the door. No, that's the deal. I'm going to get I'm going to get the dog. Their scheme was identified as stealing a microwave, then placing an empty box back on the shelf, and taking a new product to return it for cash at the same store. At this point, she clearly showed a defiant attitude, even knowing that everything had already been exposed. Hello. Can you try one more time? Try what? What's your first name? While she denied everything, her own statements during the conversation exposed a flaw and the police immediately confronted her about it. Why are they so worried about the microwave that they were trying to return? We didn't even know about that. No, we're not worried about it. We're just telling y'all what's going on. So, what do you have? What did he What did she give? Deja. I have Deja. Me, too. Why is it worth while? You know you're in DuPage, right? Am I? Yeah. Yeah. I I think it's reasonable. You just told me you were going to charge me for a misdemeanor for not having a seatbelt on, which is my right. But like that's crazy. I mean, really, if I wanted to be difficult, I could charge you with battery on a police officer cuz you wrecked my car. I didn't never touch you. If she wrecked my hand Bro. You're being petty, though. But you're being petty. No, you're being petty. But you're being petty. You know what? Like in in a real world, that's what Yeah, that's what I You told me to step out of the car. Your window would have been fine. I figured. So I ran All right, I'll tell you what. You're just an [ __ ] That's what it is. No. But I want to go home to my family. >> All right, so make it easy. What's your name? >> understand why I was both wild. So what's your name, then? >> Victory. Thank you. There we are. You got a couple of warrants. I know that. But I don't want to go away. I'm just getting my stuff together. So, after a series of heated arguments, the police successfully obtained her identity. Meanwhile, officers also approached the driver regarding other violations. I'm I'm going to drop my location right now. That's what I'm trying to do right now. Cuz I mean, I could literally just pull up to Walmart and get a car seat. Can I get a car seat? Basically, that's what I said. He said I could Yeah, he said I can't leave. Let me see. You got to Look, I'm going to just share my location with you. And while you're doing that, you got issued two citations, okay? One for not having your I'm not going to give you the traffic light violation. One for not having a seat belt, and then one for your child not having a seat belt, okay? Court date is 10:17 at 1:00 p.m. Am I going to have to go to work for this? Yeah, you can go. Can I just pay the ticket? It depends on the traffic You can look at the instructions. Look it up. If it says court required, court's required. All right. If it doesn't, you just pay it and pay it. All right. So what's going on with her? Okay. I'm not worried about my ID. Where did it go? No, my No, we're we're just We're hanging out for a second now. All right, well look. Let me share my He's not going anywhere until at least So listen. Right now, you're also under arrest, okay? I picked you up there? Yeah. Bro, you could technically get charged with child endangerment. How do you know? I'm a police officer. So what did I just do? You grabbed the microwaves. Return the microwaves. So can I at least call my sister and tell her what's going on? Traffic her. I'm going to call you going to make a phone call first, okay? Give her a Give her a second to figure things out. You said your person is 25, 35 minutes? What did you say again? I suppose about 35. >> 35 minutes? And even more concerning, the two of them had brought a young member along. The police tried to work with the woman to find a guardian, but she seemed more concerned about her boyfriend instead. Why is he going to call someone for her? I'm sorry? Like, what's happening? I want Hold on. You're going to go to the park. No, that's not why you're going to go to the park. Your daughter is going to go to the park. Your uh boyfriend, I don't know what he is to you. He's calling someone to pick her up in case you guys are there on the way to the park. Okay, I know I'm booked. I'm trying to figure out why is he getting in custody because I thought he the baby was >> He can tell you if he wants to. It's his business. Well, he won't be able to tell me if I'm in custody. You're going to the same place. How you going to tell me that I'm able to call? You're going to the same place. I'm not saying you can talk. You're going to the same place. That's my baby daddy. That's his dad. I mean, that's her dad. Okay. But someone is coming? He has so I don't know who it is. He's He's really on the phone right now. He's Originally, they were going to come here, but now we're having to go to the PD because we don't I don't want your daughter to sit on the side of the road for the next 20 minutes. Yeah, so I'm worried about that, but I don't know you Can you tell dad if it's okay? I'm pretty sure it's okay. I just want to know what's happening. So I can know what's going on. I know I'm going to be in custody, so What What items? Yeah, we can grab your personal property. Okay. We'll We'll get your purse. >> want y'all going through my stuff. Ain't nothing in there. Here. Y'all leave Yeah. We'll leave it in the car. I've talked to him about something else, so give me a second. Okay. Black book bag. What did you say? We got his book bag. Open alcohol. Take that with Unless they have a list. All they're doing is the boxes right now. Okay. They said something else. Are you looking more? I'm ready to get out whenever you are. >> Oh, sorry. No, it's good. You got the key? Yeah. I got to do well. Both suspects were formally charged for their roles in the scheme. The male suspect faced charges of retail theft along with multiple traffic violations. Meanwhile, the female suspect was charged with retail theft, obstruction for providing false identification, and a seatbelt violation in addition to having outstanding warrants that led to her immediate custody. When lies and defiance become the first reaction, they often turn a bad situation into something far worse. Cooperating early could have changed everything, but resistance only added more charges and consequences. Let's take a break from shoplifting cases and move on to this carefully planned fraud scheme. I think I told her or not asked her like, "What do you mean by the limit?" And she asked me again. She's like, "How much can I withdraw from my account?" Second, I'm going to put handcuffs on you as I escort you through the hallway area. >> Handcuffs just to walk back there? I can walk through the building I do it through the front. >> to walk out back to you though. On February 22nd, [music] 2025, officers received a report from a bank about a woman attempting to withdraw money from an account that was not hers. Officers arrived promptly at the scene, and this was what the bank found suspicious based on the employee's [music] statement. So, Corrine came into the branch to withdraw 10,000 Was that from her business account. [music] Um when we looked at Corrine's history in her business account, she doesn't have like she's doesn't have a history of having like large sums of cash or really any much of activity. Um and [music] so when we looked at the source of the transfer or the funds, it was a trans- an internal transfer. Looks like it was initiated online from Carol's account. Before we released the funds [music] to Corrine, we called Carol to verify the validity of that transfer. [music] Carol indicated that she had never done any money transfers. She didn't do anything online. Um and had mentioned that some weird things were happening, um, with her account anyhow. Okay. She said she was going to be stopping it. So, the transfer was done, um, through online banking. How they got access, I have no idea. Um, but Corrine, the lady that was here to withdraw the money, had said she needed to withdraw 7,000 to meet at a police station to buy a truck. Um, so when we kind of delayed the transaction, she went outside and I looked on the camera. She got into, uh, burgundy It was a burgundy, um, Chevy, maybe Malibu. And then that car drove off. When you pulled up after I had called the police, um, cuz she kept running in and out, she got into that pickup truck and then they drove off. The details clearly indicated that this was an organized fraud scheme and the amount involved was far from insignificant. Now, how long has Corrine's, um, business account been open for? >> September. Okay. Now, this money that was transferred from Carol's account to Corrine's account, that deposit occurred online. Mhm. Um, how many days ago? Today. >> [music] >> Today. And that was of 10,000? 10,000. And today Ms. Corrine was trying to withdraw $7,000. >> Yes. [music] And you said you spoke to Carol on the phone and she said that she's been having some weird activity on her account that she doesn't know And she didn't authorize a transfer at all today online. Okay. Is Is this some sort of like suspicious behavior that you guys have been dealing with recently or indicative of some sort of criminal behavior in your experience? Um, not necessarily with her, but we are like a little more prone to fraudulent situations or suspicious activity. How did she request to withdraw money? Was it with a slip or an ID or Um she had her ID. Okay. But when she first walked up, her immediate like her first question was, "How much can I withdraw? Okay. What's the limit?" So I already was eyeing her. Mhm. It could be understood that behind the suspect's question, she wanted to withdraw as much money as possible from the account, but based on the following statements, more and more suspicious details began to emerge. So I went to the account that they were deposited from, and immediately once I saw Carol's picture, I'm like, "Nah, this isn't your grandma." So I don't she's not just going to randomly give you that amount. Sure. So Did she say who Carol was to her? Did Was there a relationship definition there or anything? >> She never really said anything about Carol. It was like, "Yeah, I got to get this money for the truck. I got to get this money for the truck. Someone's waiting to meet waiting on me at the police station." And she just kept kind of repeating that. Okay, so first day she says, "How much can I get?" That would I would say raised your your suspicion a little bit, and then you looked into the account that the money was just deposited, another red flag, and then from Carol, third red flag. Yeah, once Yeah, once I saw Carol's ID Okay. And then during the time that she when she presented her ID, the person on the the face on ID was actually her, that was Carol. I'm sorry, not Carol, um Corrine. >> Corrine, yeah. Yeah, that was that was her. Okay. But there was no activity on her account at all. Like this looks like the first thing that she did or she made it just for this purpose. Okay. Or something cuz I didn't see anything. Okay. 10,000, and then she withdrew a penny. After the deposit went through, there was a penny withdrawn. Hm, okay. Maybe to make sure she can get it out get the funds out. Did you see that? Yeah. Hm. I think I have everything I need from you. I appreciate your time. Shortly after, the victim, the true account holder, was also brought to the scene, and she pointed out several suspicious signs that her information had been compromised. a text I got a text message, and I'll find it here. This is the message I got that said it's from Landmark. Okay. So I did respond to that. You clicked on that? I I I went to my computer. Okay. And and uh put that in and uh and then no it it it did let me get on to Landmark. But it seemed like it wasn't not the usual process of getting Okay. uh on to Land- Landmark. But I did get in. I got to a page that looked very unfamiliar. Okay. It listed my accounts, but it listed them in a very different way. Okay, like a different format? Pardon me? Like a different format. It just looked differently than what your normal would. Okay. And because it looked that way, I didn't stay there long. I did go back on to see if uh uh if that amount was taken out of my checking account. Okay. And it was not. It was not. Okay. At the same time, the suspect was also present. She clearly knew what was happening, yet showed no signs of guilt. Instead, her attitude became unpleasant. Ma'am, are you Miss Jackson? You're attorney Verrelli? Verrelli. Nice to meet you. Nice to meet And then you're Curry, right? Okay. Um do you have any idea, any by chance? I didn't bring nothing with me. You didn't bring any ID with you? >> everything that I I assumed you had my wrist and I didn't bring anything with me. Okay. Is it out in I don't know if you guys came together or is it out in the car? No, I left it at home. You left it at home? Okay. You know this to be Miss Green? I do. Okay. So here's what's going to happen. I know your attorney probably talked to you a little bit, right? And I'm going to place you under arrest for fraud against financial institution, okay? And that's what you're under arrest for today. Can you at least do me a favor, verify your date of birth? 8/7/1964. 64, okay. Um I spoke with your attorney earlier. My understanding is you're not going to make any statements today. That's correct. Okay. Okay, then I will not going to infringe on that. If that's your wishes, that's what I'm going to leave it as. I'm going to have you stand up here in a second. I am going to put handcuffs while I just escort you through the hallway area. I can walk through the building I do until we get to the front door. I know but that's what we do for everyone that's our policy, okay? We can take your fingerprints and you'll be transported. I'll let you make some phone calls if you need to make some phone calls as well, all right? Okay. You do me a favor and turn around, okay? She was charged with fraud against a financial institution and attempted theft. This case showed that confidence and rehearsed excuses could not hide the truth no matter how calculated the scheme was. Every suspicious detail eventually exposed the fraud leading to inevitable consequences. Next, shift your mood and brace yourself for a whole new level of chaos. I want to talk to you, [ __ ] On the 18th of January, 2026, police received an emergency call from Anani's Bar and Grill after reports came in about a woman causing a disturbance. Upon arrival, she did not stop her behavior and the chaos escalated even further. Okay, my phone. >> [screaming] >> From the police to the staff and even the customers, all became involved in trying to restrain the woman's rage, but it still did not stop her even as she was forced down onto the ground. Backup officers were dispatched to the scene and her resistance somewhat subsided, but that did not mean she would stop making things difficult. You all right? I'm trapped for a half hour. Give me a hat. Come here. Get your taser out. Get your cuffs on there. All right, 10-4. All right, request field supervisor. Incoming units for Anthony's getting slowed down. Roll this window down. I'm trying to talk to you, [ __ ] I want to talk to you, [ __ ] You hear me talking to you, [ __ ] Just by looking at her behavior, one could imagine how chaotic the disturbance inside the establishment had been. But, it was truly condemnable that she still believed she was innocent. All I was trying to do was tell my people that I was ready to go. That's it. I don't understand why I'm in cuffs right now. I'm calm as possible. I'm calm as possible. I'm calm as possible. I'm trying to make sure that my people I'm trying to make sure that my people have my purse, my phone. I'm not trying to run though. Her reckless defiance only escalated her situation, proving that resisting authority in the heat of the moment could lead to far more serious consequences than the original offense. In the end, the woman was charged with disorderly conduct, obstructing justice, resisting arrest, and battery. This incident showed that refusing to control one's behavior and constantly challenging law enforcement only made the situation worse. Instead of avoiding trouble, the woman's aggressive and irrational actions ultimately led to more serious charges and consequences. Next, meet the man named Please. I was sitting here, bro. Refusing to take responsibility and letting panic control your actions can quickly turn a minor incident into serious criminal charges. Even more astonishingly, she turned Walmart into her own personal wrestling arena. I told him I'm going to pay for everything. I just paid $500 in here. Okay. >> 250 in one line. Why the hell Put your hands behind your back. Pay me. Put your hands behind On August 24th, 2024, police received a call from Walmart reporting that a woman had altered item prices at the self-checkout before walking out of the store. Shockingly, she returned moments later and attempted to process a refund. By then, officers had already been waiting outside anticipating her appearance. Hello. Hi. What's up? She's at the service desk right now. Okay, what's going on? Um she's trying to steal items. She was using a different ticket. Super ticket guy. This ticket was for a bunch of clothes. Okay. Like $80. Okay. And we found her in here checking out paying for some of the things that she was stealing. This is why we were talking to Okay. So she has So she has a legitimate return right now? She's returning Well, she never paid for the items that she was stealing, so she's returning the stuff that she used. So she used like $10 short on the ticket, right? She didn't have the shorts. That's what she's returning now, but she doesn't have a receipt. Yeah, this is her. Hi. Hey. The woman greeted the officers warmly, but it seems she quickly realized what was unfolding. As her demeanor shifted and her lack of cooperation became unmistakably clear. Hey, we got to talk to you. No, you don't. We got to talk. Hold on, don't talk to them like that cuz you don't know me. We don't got no problem. I just got done exchanging everything. They got everything together. This is what's paid for. I just wanted to find out. Okay. So, what's the misunderstanding? Cuz he said I under-rung, but they can't find these shorts. Like I told him, I'mma pay for everything. I just paid $500 in here. Okay. >> 250 in one line and 200 in another line. He said I under-rung, but how did I under-ring? So, I paid for everything else full price besides two joggers. Get the hell out of here. And I'm telling you the same thing I told him. I don't play no games. I got a officer here. He watched everything. He said that clearly I under-rung that, but I didn't. Everything is there. These shorts were She was saying she was taking them. She said She paid for them actually at the scan. And then there was a bunch of other things that she was getting like some sweaters and stuff like that. So, that's why she's going like this. She doesn't have any of these shorts. And what she is saying is that I didn't take it at this time. But you didn't have She has more than one. And that's what I'm talking about. She's saying I mean she's She has like the actual other ticket in her hand and she's like putting it in front of the thing, scanning it. Hold on. This is later in the day. It's all Okay. So, if she paid for it And she tried taking that >> Oh, I get the things that she was saying. Yeah. So, The receipt with the altered prices was what gave her confidence. But just wait until you heard her response when officers pointed out that very suspicious detail. Well, it sounds like you didn't actually buy a short. And this is what I'm telling him. I did have one pair of shorts for $5. They're in there on the counter. The other pair was army fatigue. They were over there on the counter. Everything I did with this lady is over there. All the receipts, the the loungewear, everything. Everything is over there. Every single thing. So, how did how did four or five different shorts >> And this is the thing. Because for one, you're missing This is a totally different brand. the first place. are all things that possibly come on clearance, I guess. So, these are all things that I grabbed out of the store. So, that's what they rung up at. And like I told him, I got all the items right here. So, if you rung up you see I rung up plain as day every single item, everyone. But, I'm not going to And this is what I'm saying. So, all I'm saying is you guys I paid for the jacket. All you had to do is come to me and say, "Hey, you have a receipt?" So, I wasn't even going to call the cops. And listen, and I don't even care if the cops come. I told you I'm not scared of the police. Do you guys want to call the police? Yeah, we already called them. After hearing both sides of the story, officers decided to arrest the woman, but what they did not expect was that her behavior moments later would ignite pure chaos. All right. Um, we're going to have to take you into custody, okay? >> You're arresting me for what? So, because of the misringing >> Hold on, wait. Hold on, wait. Stop. Don't grab me. Hold on, wait. I'm not I'm not fighting with you. Wait, stop. >> under arrest. Excuse me. Wait. Hold on. >> You're under arrest, ma'am. Police, we're not That's why you're >> wait. Stop, because I didn't under ring. What are y'all talking about? Wait, stop. >> that you'll have to argue with First of all, let go of my bag. No, hold on. No. Ma'am, you're under arrest. Stop. First of all, hold on. You are under arrest. Stop. Listen, please. I'm telling you, listen. Miss lady, you don't got to do all this. I'm listening. >> you're saying. >> Please, stop. >> under arrest. >> I understand that, but please, stop. Stop fighting with us. You're under >> fighting. I'm just telling you to We're telling you You're telling me to hold on. Hold on with that. Her actions only escalated the tension, forcing officers to issue stronger warnings and prepare to use more forceful measures moments later. I'm saying put her in I got the taser. Taser, taser, taser. For what? For what? Why are you tasing me? What are you tasing me? Hot shot! Hot shot! What? Oh! Why the Put your hands behind your back. Stop. Tase me. What do you mean? Kasha, please record this. Please record this because she's kneeing me and punching me. Kasha, record it. Record it. Record it, Kasha. She's choking me. She's kneeing me. Look at her. Hell, no. You crazy as a mother As the woman continued to resist, the taser appeared to have little effect, prompting officers to call for backup almost immediately. I don't know. Everything was all paid for with my gift card and everything. I'm not resisting. I am a pregnant woman. Why are you sitting on my wrist like that? I'm a pregnant woman. I don't got no problem now. I can lay on I can lay on myself and I'm pregnant. I can't I can't lay on myself. I can't lay on myself cuz I'm pregnant. I can't lay on myself cuz I'm pregnant. I'm not resisting. I'm not resisting. I am a pregnant woman. I am a pregnant woman. >> [screaming] >> I didn't do nothing. I didn't do nothing, Kasha. My hands are tied. I didn't do it. I will I will listen. That's five times they tased me. That's five times they tased me for nothing, y'all. For absolutely nothing. They tased me for nothing. When I say for nothing, that Oh, god damn. Then them was the falsities on the jeans, and I'm pregnant, and she knee'd me, and she punched me. Damn. Kenya, just relax. All it is because I did not I did not steal. Y'all got me [ __ ] up. Just sit down. You have an ambulance coming. Why are you twisting my wrist like that? You cannot relax. You're fighting. She refused to accept any responsibility for her actions, even portraying herself as the victim despite the chaos she had caused. Hands on me. No whatsoever, miss lady, because I wasn't resisting. I didn't lay on my stomach because I was pregnant. When you told me to slide down, I slid down, but I didn't get on my stomach. She punched my soul. I paid for everything. Everything. That's they fault. That's they fault. They made me leave. She Is that the lower abdomen there? They made I was finished ready to leave. I paid for everything. You're good to have a seat. Smash that [ __ ] out. All this at Walmart for me? Well, you're you're resisting, Kenya. I understand. >> resist, though. I didn't resist. I did not I I did not resist at all. She was formally charged with retail theft and resisting an officer and attempting to disarm a peace officer. When someone chooses deception over honesty, the consequences rarely stop at the original mistake. Escalating a small wrongdoing with denial and resistance only turns a minor charge into life-altering penalties.
