I paid for Let's go. I paid for You did not. This is for you to leave. You did not. Hey, stop. Hey. Thieves boldly fled as if shopping centers were their own territory. What they never realized was that police [music] stood ready to catch them off guard. What happened next? Panic, deception, or total chaos? Everything unfolded in today's video. Starting with this woman, she simplified every bit of her wrongdoing. Pulled you over today for doing what? No. Walmart said you were stealing something. No, I haven't stolen anything. I made a total wrong call. And I said Who that? On February 23rd, police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle linked to a Walmart theft. This is what happened after officers approached the female suspect. How you doing? My name is Officer Bros. I'm with the Palm Beach Police Department. Did they try to talk to you or talk or stop or do you have any groceries in here? No, I don't have anything. >> just leave Walmart? I saw you pull out of the Walmart parking lot. Yeah, I had pulled in there, but I forgot something. Okay. You got your driver's license with you, ma'am? No. You ain't got no license? It's in the One second here. Where do you stay at? Yeah. Okay. And you said So you don't remember anything about Walmart stopping or anything like that. They said they They were very specific that it was a white female driving a black Jeep with dealer license plate. And that you left all the merchandise there, but you didn't actually take anything. No, I had on me and and I had forgot my billfold. I came back out there after it. Okay. Did they think you was a mistake? Maybe they thought you were stealing? >> Yeah, probably was. >> Okay. But you didn't actually try to steal >> No, no. I don't have anything. Okay. Yeah, that's what they said. You left everything there. So, let me let me write your name. I'll be right back. You shut your window and stay warm, all right? The woman tried to make excuses for herself, claiming she had done nothing wrong, but it seemed she told a very different story shortly after. Listen, I'll be honest with you. I screwed up. I accidentally left billfold in there. I was I wanted to go out and I take my So, I'm not 100% sure what they want to do yet. All they're going to do they're just going to drive by and see if it was yours or not. Do you mind stepping out with me real quick? >> No. Okay. The only thing is my Your purse? Billfold. It's in there. Tell them I will pay them restitution. Pay you what? I will pay them for for everything. No, you said your What was left in there? My billfold. I have Billfold? Because see, I made a total wrong call. >> Okay. That's fine. And I They all screwed up. >> That's fine. Just go ahead and they just want to see you out here or whatever. Okay. Oh, a little bit chilly to have on shorts. But I didn't Well, stand over here. Do you have anything in your pockets you're not supposed to have? No. Okay. I'll check for you, okay? You don't need to be digging around there, okay? Uh just for the time being I'm going to put handcuffs behind Okay. Just so that I don't you have to run away or anything like that, okay? Okay. I would never run. That's not me. Huh? No, I moved away. The woman showed no sign of guilt at all. In fact, this was not her first time committing such an act, and police questioned her about it as well. Am I going to jail? >> You are. How much is Can I my bill? Well, I think Didn't you just get out of prison for theft? I screwed up. I know. I think this might be a felony, so. Um Is there any chance of me hop in the I've been um my car's on. Okay, we'll get it out. Is there any chance of me hopping and out of jail? Do what about that? Is there any chance of me getting out? Back to a judge. This issue is a bottom out on here. All right, I got to screw over here. Is there anything in the back of that car that's not supposed to be in there? Or else we're going to inventory No. What do you want from the car? Just my car keys. Okay, car keys. Even afterward, officers quickly uncovered evidence showing she was still on probation at the time. Get the tow sheet started and all that. Do what? We'll get the tow sheet started and all that over there. >> Inventory. She's got a She's got court paperwork here in Franklin County, Illinois, on probation for meth possession. Okay. And then she's got what looks like some little uh odds and ends up there, but But yeah, so Really? Could be something in there. She doesn't have any teeth. Do I have her wallet? I would imagine the other officer did. I can't imagine him not grabbing it. Really? What is I didn't get All right. Yeah, probably. Yeah. I think I got her driver's license in this though. Did you grab her uh I have her wallet and all that stuff. >> Good. I got a lost property title five paperwork What did you say? Yeah, he's got your wallet. She's cooperating. Yeah, you can have your wallet. She was formally charged with retail theft. Do you think this woman would repeat the same wrongdoing? Unfortunately, the answer was yes. By May of that same year, she returned to Walmart and committed the exact same offense. You could watch that incident in the video we already made. Worse, she believed acting cute would help her avoid punishment. I think I actually have the other one. Okay, you can just set that down. No, you're okay. Okay. On November 21st, 2025, police received a call from a shopping mall reporting a theft with the striking detail that the suspects were already well known to officers. This time, however, they were caught. Keep watching to see what unfolded when police arrived at the scene. So, three of them still have stuff. She says she doesn't have anything. And she was in the dressing room. And she has a bag. I have a wallet. A bra. Okay. And then the other two have stuff on them. Yeah, they have stuff on them. Should we read Miranda to all of them? Yeah, we got All right. She She just took these off. So, she says that's it. That is. We had you in Yeah, cool. We can do one at a time in the other room. Yeah. You got a bra on, you think? Yeah, let's go. Hi. Has an officer talked to you yet? Okay, I'm an officer and I'm recording you. I've got my body camera on. Do you have your ID on you? No, I don't. Okay. Have you ever been arrested before? Okay. Here's the deal. We'll We'll Typically on these, we don't go a criminal route, okay? But we do have like questions and stuff we got to ask. I know it's a lot right now. We'll work through it with you, okay? Not right now. No. You are detained. You are detained. No, it's that it we have to talk to you guys first and figure out exactly what's going on. Um there's a possibility you could be arrested, but that doesn't mean that's what we're going to do, okay? Do you have your ID on you? No. Okay. What's your first name? Um Jayda. How old are you? I'm 18. You're 18. This is What's Jayda on? So, they were literally wearing the stolen items right up until they were caught. The woman appeared deeply remorseful, clearly unable to bear the responsibility for the consequences of her own actions. What's the worst that's going to happen? Worst, it depends on the amount of property that was taken. So, If it's Yeah. So, if it's anything under $300, it's a misdemeanor. But I don't know how much it was. We'll figure it out. >> Stupid stuffed animals. Like, this is like they're not mine. This is just like I promise you. Hear me out for a second. I know a lot of people that have committed, you know, these thefts, and it doesn't affect I know it's a lot. It and it and it doesn't affect >> stolen a candy bar from Dollar General and that's like six. This is a stuffed animal. Like, you know, It I promise you, Jayda. Hear me out. It'll be just fine. About yes. So, this is all the unlighted that just went out. This is total for everyone? No, this is total for her. Okay. Okay. Yeah. I'll let you know when I'm done. So, I have to get a lawyer? No, it's you you have the right to a lawyer. Do you want me to read them again or do you understand them? >> No, it's okay. Do you understand the rights? >> Mhm. Okay, uh that's a yes. I just need a yes or a no. Okay, having these rights in mind, can I talk to you? Mhm. That's a yes. I need a verbal yes or no. >> Yes, sorry. Thank you. What made everything even more absurd was this woman's reason for stealing. Watch as she explained it herself. Okay, so um well, first, our friend told us that they had like jelly cats here. So, it's like a stuffed animal and then like I gave my mom like uh other people just like told me like stealing's like easy. Mhm. So then like I don't know and I didn't even think about like looking at the price tags cuz I just like wasn't really thinking about it. I didn't even know how much those like something else were. Kind of my intention was like come here cuz I didn't have any money. Does is that Does this make it like saying it's bad? >> No, just be honest. Yeah. >> Okay, I just don't want to go to jail. Yeah, no, that's okay. It's Do you promise this isn't going to happen, right? I I can't promise anything, right? Cuz I don't know all the details yet, but I just have to figure out what happened, okay? Okay. So you did Did you have any money on you? Um well, yeah, I had my card my card, but only like $10. >> Okay, so not not very much. >> can pay for the things. I'll pay I can pay for all of it. We'll talk about it later, okay? Yep. Did you So you came here with the intent to steal then? Well, no, I was just going to see. Okay. >> actually just going to do it. >> Okay. And then uh do you remember which items you stole? Um Jelly Cats and then some Skims stuff. Do you remember the specific ones? Uh a bra and then I think underwear. >> [snorts] >> Bra, underwear and then a pajama thing. Um and how did you like take them? Well, I put the top on. Mhm. And then the Jelly Cats I just like put right here. Mhm. Like in your pocket or something? Uh well, like right [snorts] here. Oh, okay, like on your person. I think I actually have the underwear on me. Okay, you can just set that down. >> didn't feel anything. She claimed she had never intended to steal, yet in reality, she never had any intention of paying either. made it like I'm assuming you didn't attempt to pay or anything like that. Um no. Well, well, my cousin was saying like let's go out that way. So we went out that way and then this guy stopped us and we just came in with them. Okay, so did you make it outside the store? Yeah, but the guy like stopped us and we didn't get far. Okay, but you never attempted to pay or anything? Mhm. That's Yes, you never attempted to pay. Yeah. Okay. Is that No, that's okay. I'm just like I said, it's not a worse or better thing. It's just I have to understand the details of what happened. Okay? Came here with These are all your friends, family, anything like that? Um one of them's my sister and one of them's um my cousin and then another one's just our friend. Have you ever been arrested for retail theft? No, absolutely not. Okay. With retail thefts, um the felony amount is $300. I don't know what your amount is yet. They're They're pressing it up. >> $64. What do you think about that? Okay. So, with that, if you don't have any prior charges and it's $64, I'll write you an ordinance violation. Okay? [music] An ordinance violation is like a speeding ticket and it doesn't go on your record if it's paid or [music] if you go to court. You have to You got to do one of those two things. If you neglect the ticket, you then get charged for it. They appeared remorseful, but it was quickly exposed as fake as they continued giving conflicting statements about the details of a pair of shoes. About Uggs? Did you take any Uggs? No. These ones are yours? Yeah, these are mine. Your friend already said it was you and her. Don't lie. I got everything. We already filed the police report. Okay, guys. I just don't know what's happening right now and this is just really freaking me out. >> with that one. Just just be honest about it. It's not good to lie about it. Okay, I don't know what Can someone just please let me know what's happening? >> Did Did you take the Uggs? Yes or no? Yeah, this was like a long time ago. >> I got it all there. We filed a police report. He just wasn't [snorts] here when Yeah, they didn't even know I was here. So, yeah. Oh, so this is a pre- This is a pre- They weren't our shoes cuz we had to wait for them to come back after they got all that was it. So, So, this isn't the first time that you've stolen? Well, from here because our friend told us that they had like all these things here. We wouldn't have just We didn't even know about this. >> Where are these from, by the way? Yeah. We didn't Sorry, I didn't I didn't know they were on me. That's okay. So, [music] what Do you remember stealing those? Yeah, it was like a while ago though. I haven't even like worn them or nothing. Okay. So, September sound right? I don't know. Okay. That time when you took the other Uggs, was it just the Uggs or did you take more than one thing? Uh it was just the Uggs. Okay. Does this make it worse, too? Is everything making it worse? Well, I can tell you one thing, lying about it does not help it at all. >> Okay. >> So, just be honest about what happened. Okay. Right? The question was raised, if she feared that lying would only make things worse, why did she keep doing it? Moments later, she began babying the officers as if that would somehow lessen the consequences she was facing. Sorry, I just turned 18 and now I'm like I'm probably going to be getting arrested or it's all right. You're You're just a 10 right now, okay? We still got to figure out the amount of value and stuff like that, okay? Okay, but that's That's fine. What's that? >> Okay, but I don't know what the total is. Can you tell me? Yeah, we're going to go in and chat right now, okay? If you could just go back in here and we'll sit down with your friends, okay? What's that? Is it 300? Am I getting arrested? Uh we still got to figure out the value. It's a possibility, yes. Do you have a total for I her? Oh. Her her Which was just this $34. 34? You can just step in and hold your here, okay? Has an officer spoken to you yet? >> No. Okay. Just got your name. Okay. Okay, so here's the deal. Um can you have that back? Here's the deal with this. I got to You're technically detained right now, okay? I have to I have to read you your rights before I'm able to talk with you, okay? Um so, let me just do that. Okay. Realizing that you want to talk to me. That's a yes? Okay. How old are you? 21. Two individuals in the group were charged with felony theft as each was found in possession of more than $1,000 worth of stolen merchandise. Lying and trying to manipulate others only made the consequences is Taking responsibility early was the only chance to limit the damage caused by one bad decision. Next, meet this truly awful pair of shoplifters. I have Let's go. I paid This is for you to leave. Hey, hey, no. Hey, stop. Right now. No, I paid Put your hands behind your back. On May 9th, 2025, officers were dispatched to Walmart after receiving reports of a couple committing theft there. At that moment, the police waited for the suspects to appear so they could catch them off guard. Yeah, I'm just waiting out of sight. I'm going to go over there cuz I'm stolen. Cool. Excuse me. Yeah. from Walmart. This is what they said. You have anything you want to say to the camera right now? >> [clears throat] >> No, it's in your bag. >> Let's go. I paid Let's go. We know where it is. We saw you do it. I paid for it. It's in your bag. Come on. We saw you do it. It's on camera. No, it's too late now. No, that's great. It's too late now. Should have paid for it when you had the chance. Okay. I paid for it. Let's go in here. I have the receipts for everything. No, you don't. Let's go in here. >> No, I have the receipts. You can look at them. I don't have to speak. No, let's go in here. No, I'm just saying you can Okay, we're going to go in there for the stuff that you put in your bag. No, look. I'm saying Yes, there's Look, we're going to do this in here. See, look, everything is on this We're going to go in here. This is everything on me. We're going to go in here. Why do I have to go in here? Because I'm telling you. >> not on there, obviously I paid for everything. You didn't pay for that. I have Let's go. The suspects clearly showed their refusal to cooperate and their own actions quickly plunged the situation into chaos. I paid This is for you to leave. We did not Hey, stop. Hey. Thank you. to Hey. Hey, no. Hey, stop. No, hey. Put your hands behind your back. No, stop. No, stop. I have my little brother in the car. No, I have my little brother in the car. No. No, I'm just saying I go in here. I said my little brother I'm going I'm going here. I'm just letting you know I have my little brother in the car. I have my little brother in the car. That's it. But I will go in here with you. I'm willing willing I'm willing I'm willing You need to stop now or you will be tased. I'm sorry. Put your hands behind your back now. >> Okay. Hey, sir, stop. Hey, stop. Hey. Hey. Hey, get up. Hey. Stop. Hey, ow. Hey, ow. Stop. I will I will try to put my hands behind your back. There you go. Get on the ground now. Get on the ground now. On the ground now. Get up. All the way on the ground. Do not move. You are under arrest for obstruction. He showed no sign of remorse, pleaded for leniency while attempting to flee from arrest, forcing officers to issue a be on the lookout alert. I wanted to see the second is jewelry westbound black male thin build 6'2" black tank top blue shorts or blue jeans. Uh PC for obstruction and theft. All right, go ahead and sit up for me. Go again. Let's go over here. Hold on a second. Yeah, I'm fine. All right, sit there. Do you have any weapons or anything on you? No, sir. All right, what's his name? His name is Jamon Brandon Tracy, sir. It's my husband. I've been doing a little bit of drinking, so All right. I don't know how where that stands, but hopefully he's like I hope not that he like I have have a gun on me. I don't know if he's doing okay or not. Like we're more than willing to like get paid for that, like if We're just trying to pay for it. And look, now instead, he's going to have a warrant out for his arrest because he didn't stop. I told him he's not free to leave. And I was I was just trying to get him to calm down. I was trying to see if he could stop. I feel like if I get him like at least to calm down, he would have been more workable and reasonable. And I understand like my my slang appearance was probably not the best of choice, but I wasn't trying to have anything get any further. This man was trembling, his words revealing his fear of what had just happened. At that moment, officers attempted to call the man who had fled the scene. You mind if I call him back? Uh no, sir. [clears throat] I don't mind at all. Hm? I don't mind at all. I just want to see That one? Yep, yes, sir. It didn't go through. I don't think you got no service in here for you. Okay. All right, I'm going to release you with just a citation, okay, today. There's going to be a court date. Okay. Okay? Okay. The reason that I'm arresting you is because when I was trying to arrest him, you got in my way and were pushing me out of the way. That's obstruction, and I told you to stop or you will be arrested, right? And you kept doing it. Yes, sir. Okay? So, that's why you're under arrest right now. All right, I'm going to go write you a citation, Yes, sir. and I'm going to see if Jamon is who you say he is. Yes, he is. He is. He is. He's going to tattoo on his right wrist, Mr. Torres. One of my areas he's got. I guess you can tell he always does everything for us. All right. All right, I'll be right back. It's Jamon. Now, would you talk to him? See if he comes back. Say anything else, I'm going to hang up. Baby. Hello. Baby. Dropped again? Do you know his phone number? Uh it's 253-333- Oh. 7695? I have my kids. In the end, the man was released and given a court date so he could appear alongside the other man. Both were charged with shoplifting. When facing mistakes, staying calm and taking responsibility always led to a better outcome than running from the truth. Next, this [music] woman went beyond the level of simple shoplifting. On the 9th of August 2024, police received a report from the Macy's store about a woman attempting to stuff merchandise into her handbag, but she was quickly caught in the act. When they arrived at the scene, the situation immediately became tense. We could have just peacefully talked in there. Stop talking to me. But you clearly don't understand And I will I catch you outside the store with my little I hope I do. On everything I love, I hope I do. On my baby, I hope I do. Then why do you It don't matter cuz she was wrong. And I know she was wrong. >> said that. The [ __ ] is sitting right there. Said that. I told She wasn't wearing a coat and she said she is my manager. And that's what she said. >> hit her. >> [laughter] >> She was not hitting your hand. She was pulling Pulling on my purse. Pulling on my purse. Pull the camera up. What are you still sitting right here for? Go do your job. Pull the camera up. Go pull them up. Go pull them up. Go pull the camera up. She was ready to argue with everyone present there. And not only that, the trouble she created lasted throughout her entire escort. We don't even know if you're going to jail or not yet. So, don't Let's go. That's not how this works. No, it's going to work like that. No. My baby not seeing us like this. My baby not Bro, in the season Check her. Did we check her yet? What does she have in her bag? When I tell him he let your daughter see you like this. Now she sees her mom and her dad like this. I hope you're real happy. I hope you're real happy cuz you too for me. Does she have any straps on it that we can get off? >> No. I told y'all that I told I told you that when you were steady trying to put the cuffs on me. Step up. Stop cussing. It's Bro, he is a stupid I'd rather deal with you. I'd rather have a talk with you. >> Can Can we step out and can I take your cuffs off when we get out of It seemed that trying to reason with the woman only dragged the situation out. So, shortly after, the police shifted to hearing the story from the store's side. So, what happened was half of it is going to be on video of the selections and then we moved to floor surveillance cuz I was in the fitting room across from her waiting to post sweep it. How was she doing all this? She She concealed it in the fitting room. I post I pre-swept the fitting room before she went in while he maintained surveillance on cameras and then she went in the fitting room that was pre-swept and she came out. There was two tags on the floor and that's it and everything that she came out with she came out with her scarf. And she came out with another this item Was she putting it in her bag She put it in her bag cuz her when her mom came she started throwing everything out and then some of the other stuff just came out of her purse. Are you able to pull up videos of the slapping portion or was that outside? >> No, that was outside. I could see if I could get it Yes. But I physically put her my hands on her. I did hold her bag which I grabbed her because once they got off the curb she was literally like this on the curb. >> That's outside of She was outside. Once they got off the curb I stopped her from going off the curb. Okay. And but she kept Look, my hand is red. She kept standing popping me and popping me and popping me. I mean, you might be mad at me in the crotch. Um That ain't nothing to me. Shortly after the store also presented additional evidence that proved her act of theft. >> Um We waited till she hit all sales of points before we apprehended her which is right here. Okay. Well, we could have got her at this door but we wanted to make sure that she wasn't turn around and pay for the items. So, I'm missing one tag which was in the fitting room but so far it said 16350. Okay. And I I think it's fair going that last item was probably not 140. No. All right. Here we go right here. Do you guys have ban paperwork you want to get for her? Uh we I wanted to get her trespassed. She comes on a daily basis for 3 years. And usually the mall, too, don't they get that? >> usually get one. Um we just go we can just go based off what they give us. What's it? Uh trespass? Okay, so it's like right here. This is when she goes out. Yeah, he was right on her heels. Is it out of camera view then? Yeah, that's Yeah, he got it. Cuz it's going to be right here. The suspect was expected to receive a store ban, but her hot-headed behavior still left the female employee visibly [music] upset. As far as her slapping your arm and all that, we're going to write it up in the report. If the state's attorney decides to >> the the verbal the verbal threats that she just made? Did she say she'll come back and crash out? Yeah, she said That'll be documented at least. Um but as far as threats, it's got to be a little more specific than that. She said she'll blow me up and everybody several times on my child. The good news is she'll be banned from here. So, if she comes back, she goes to jail. It's no questions asked. So. So, if I see her at my other job She's She's calmed down quite a bit. You You could always try and get an order of protection on her, which would cover you at your other job. And obviously you'll have her info once uh security gets that for you. Uh and I think you have more than enough to file for one. But I deal with worse than that person. So, all of that was like, Okay. Yeah, let me let me check on him. Um how far along are you on that? >> Um the computer is slow. I'm trying to move as fast as possible. That's all right. I'll I'll check back with you. This was the woman's first time committing such an act, so the police made a decision regarding her. Watch it and share your thoughts on whether that decision was fair. I'm going to take you out of handcuffs, okay? And then I'll explain this entire thing. You all right? Do you want to repeat that? The pop mark gave you electric shock. I'll spare electric for you. Thank you for your consideration. Hopefully we never meet again, right? We won't. Okay. Do you have any questions at all for us? Can I get your ID back? Yeah, yeah, she has her ID. Okay, well, you're free to go now at this point, okay? I appreciate it. The woman was charged with retail theft and issued a trespass ban from the store. Owning up early, staying calm, and accepting responsibility will always lead to a better outcome than letting anger and pride make everything worse. Worse still, her deliberate stalling exposed her as a seasoned professional thief. Do you want to let us search the vehicle, or do you want to decline that and you go the other route? And I'm so sorry. On the 26th of May, 2023, police officers were dispatched to a shopping mall after receiving a report about a woman committing theft. When they approached her, she attempted to deny her actions, but her resistance did nothing to stop the police. Hello, ma'am. We're looking for you. All right? So, we're suspecting a theft at Chanel. Were you in Chanel today? Yeah. Okay. A necklace? It's like a necklace. We got footage of it. wearing today. We have exactly what you're wearing, exact description, glasses, everything. Do you have the item on you still? I don't have glasses. You're wearing glasses. Yeah, but do you have the item you stole from Chanel? We have footage of it, ma'am. We know it's you. We've been looking for you. There's many stores that know you steal items. Do you have the Chanel item on you right now? I do not have >> Okay. All right, well, you're going to be placed under arrest for now, okay? I'm going to take your items. Uh place your hands behind your back, ma'am, please. You You a right to remain silent. Anything you do can be used against you in a court of law. You have a right to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed to you. Do you understand your rights to them? I understand my rights. You got arrested last week, too, at Bloomingdale's, correct? Yes. Yes. Okay. So, you're familiar with this, right? Immediately afterward, police discovered suspicious evidence suggesting that the theft was not limited to Chanel, but that she had also recently stolen items from Nordstrom. Um I read you your rights. It's a pair of jeans. Pair of jeans? Yeah. Do you have the receipt for it? Not with me, no. Where'd you purchase them from? I'm Oh, I'm sorry. >> Where'd you purchase these from today? Bloomingdale's. Not today. Not today. I didn't purchase these today. You walked in with these with tags on them. I'm sorry? [music] You walked in with these? Yeah, because I have to change the size. You said you bought them from Bloomingdale's? Or they have a Nordstrom's tag on it. I'm sorry. Nordstrom. All right. Well, we'll check Nordstrom. Yeah. Not today. All right. Well, we're going to run that by Nordstrom. You could either choose to be honest with us, tell us what you took today, if you happen to take other items, or you could choose not to be honest, and there could be some additional charges. You can make it easier or harder on yourself, ma'am, okay? Honestly, we appreciate honesty. We'll be honest with you. We'll tell you everything that's going on. We'll be polite to you and courteous to you, but you obviously stole some items today. We have on footage you stealing some items today. We want to know if you stole anything else today. I'm sorry. >> Is there a necklace in this purse? I don't have the necklace. I don't have the necklace. Up to this point, the allegedly stolen necklace had still not been recovered, and officers suspected it had been hidden inside her vehicle. [music] Yet, she remained completely unable to grant consent to search the car. Okay, you've been read your Miranda, right? Yes. We're not questioning you. We're We're just asking you for permission to sign the form, the release form, to allow us to enter your vehicle to retrieve the item. Our objective is to uh retrieve that necklace that you took that we have on camera footage of you taking the item, putting it into your pocket, concealing it, and walking past all points sales. Yes. >> it's it's your it's your choice. You have the option right now, yes or no. Cuz if we do find the vehicle and we believe that that necklace is in there, we will we will definitely impound the vehicle for search. And there's a really good chance that we're going to apply for forfeiture and you won't get that vehicle back. The thing is, if I allow sign the form, allow you to search, you may find anything else you like. If we find anything else along the search for that for that necklace, yeah, if it's if it's something tags on it, sensor tags, no no receipts, it's it's No, I there's a whole bunch of stuff, you know, that I have >> Mhm. there's no sensor tags, Mhm. but that I purchased before and I don't you might think, you know, you might Well, let me let me explain what what'll happen then. If there's items that are in bags that don't have receipts, you're saying you purchased other items legitimately. I I can understand that. And if you purchased them legitimately, you have a receipt somewhere, electronically or or or physically. >> But not with me today. No, I'm saying that's that's fine. If we do come across something that appears to be Clearly, this was not her first time facing a situation like this, and she even knew how to deflect the conversation just to stall for time. Do you want to let us search the vehicle or do you want to decline that and you go the other route? I'm so sorry to ask you again. I cannot talk to my lawyer? There's there's no need to speak to an attorney. We're clearly letting you know what your options are. I understand there's no need to A lawyer is not going to tell you anything different than what we're telling you. I understand but would I be allowed would you allow me to call I mean if you call a lawyer it's going to have to be through headquarters. We don't have phones here. You you can call from headquarters but at that point it's going to be it's going to be too late for you because you have to be you have to be present while we're doing the search. Ma'am, just look at it this way. We're not questioning you or accusing you of anything. We already know what you did. So what we're asking you asking you anything further like your right to an attorney involves us asking you any other questions about any crimes or any other further crimes. We know that you came here in a vehicle and we have the suspicion that you walked out to the vehicle and placed that item in the vehicle. We're just asking you if you're willing to sign a search form and allow us to retrieve that item from the vehicle. If not we'll do what we have to do and you'll go and get processed. So you have to make a decision right now. Would you allow me to state on the form to specify the section of the the vehicle that It's it's not a specific. It's just a search of the vehicle. She merely tried to play innocent and feign curiosity about her legal rights to complicate the situation forcing the officers to finally speak bluntly. The easiest way Either way it's going to >> Yeah, it's going to happen either way. facilitated today. Your vehicle will be taken to the we're not going to pursue the matter That's that's basically what way was planning to turn it in but either way Either way, if there's items in there that have don't have receipts, they do a search warrant. It's everything's going to be taken out of the car that doesn't appear to be belonging to you until you can prove it is. You got that? Is it going to be today or later? But if we do it today, ma'am, you can observe it and maybe tell us but when we get a search warrant, like everything's going to come out. >> mean that as soon as you find the supposed necklace, then you will stop the search and it doesn't go further? Yes, if they're in there and they see items that are that are that are not associated with somebody's ownership they'll go home. I mean, it's it's just like we do with distribution. You already have multiple items today you You have items that you took from Nordstrom. You have an item you took from Chanel. So, if we see other items in there that you potentially didn't pay for, you have no proof of a uh receipt, those will be taken. So, I've explained it to you a few times, ma'am. So, you have to make a decision cuz we we It's we we don't stand out here all day, all night like So, basically what it comes down to if you're going to drive your car tonight or you're taking an Uber home. I don't care if you have anything right now. Call your friends. All right, don't move. No, that's not >> All right, listen. We're not going to argue about this. On the 27th of October, 2023, police received a call from the Marc Jacobs store reporting that a theft had taken place. When they arrived at the scene, they confirmed that the crime did not involve just one suspect, raising suspicions that it was an organized shoplifting operation. So, did one Did just one person take something or all three? All three of them like combinedly, yeah. They all took something together? Yeah, for the most part. And then if we recover the items today, I'll come let you know and we'll just uh if we can get them right now, we'll bring them back. Uh if we have to take them down for any reason, we'll just let you guys know and then a representative from here can just come pick them up. Her attitude suggested the report was true and that she tried to return with a shopping bag to cover up her actions, which was why she kept insisting she was innocent. All right. Do you wish to continue talking to me right now? Yes or no? You're not getting handcuffed right now. You're being detained, okay? Do you want to talk to me or not? Okay, that's the information. I didn't take anything exactly. You didn't take anything? Exactly. Okay. I want him to put it in his fanny pack. Yes, I was scared. I'm not going to lie. I'm not going to lie here. Okay, that's fine. You just do it like I need you to write your name, your address, phone number, date of birth. And don't lie on there, okay? >> [music] >> Huh? Well, she said she didn't do anything, so It's all right. She can come back. So, she's just saying the other two already left. We'll keep looking. I'm not convinced. She got them? Yeah. And it's May 12th. What's your date of birth? Okay. Contrary to her initial claim that she had done nothing, the employee reviewed the surveillance footage and uncovered a very different story. The But the cameras the cam- the cameras are going to prove it. I don't want to really go back and forth. Um the cameras are going to prove it. I was still be here. I didn't want I'm the only one that I stayed here and spoke to him. But my friends ran off outside. I would be with them. Do you know what she took? They ran and I didn't Do you know what she took? That's not how it works with stores like this, man. They have corporate. All right, listen. We're not going to argue about it. You're not Listen. You know You know, you're not going to be confined. What's going to happen is Listen now. What's going to happen is you're going to be taken in, you're going to be processed, you're going to be released. It's All right. Well, you don't have a choice. You're in Melbourne. You're coming to Melbourne. Why would I take you to North? All right, you said you came here from Ocean County, right? >> The woman was charged with shoplifting with a total value of approximately $1,675. When someone thinks returning the item will erase the crime, they forget that intent and action still matter once you cross that line. The consequences do not simply disappear. Even worse, these suspects staged a dramatic I know you're doing your job. I ran. I know what happens when you run because I'm pregnant. Okay. On November 21st, 2025, officers received a report from an Old Navy store about a group of women who fled after engaging in suspicious shopping activity. At that moment, officers attempted to gather information about the suspects. Um so, there was one with like a the pyramid tattoo and then the one with the cat that I thought was a man. And then the other one, she walked out before them. But, she didn't she didn't steal anything. It was just the two. It was just the two. Cuz that one girl, I let her in the bathroom and then she walked out first. >> Okay. I think she was maybe The other two, the one with the neck tattoo And then can you show me Show the one with the triangle neck tattoo and the eye is the one that walked out. >> With Oh, without anything? >> Without anything. Yeah, so let me just see who verify [snorts] who actually took items and then Okay. >> But you don't want the third female that didn't take anything. >> She trespassed. Trespassed. Yeah. >> For how long? Forever. All of them? Forever. >> Okay. Okay, they're going to come up right here. And what was the total of everything pretty much? It's hard to tell, but maybe like at least 500 to 1,000 I would say. So she walked out >> Okay. with a lot of stuff. And then that person was up the pole too. Yeah, the other lady, she didn't take anything that I saw that we saw. Okay, so just those two? Yeah, just these two. Okay, give me one sec. Yeah. They took like a cart and a bag inside a cart, which is like a blue bag. >> So they had it in a cart? That's how that's why I thought because I thought it was weird to have a cart and one of our blue shopping bags, you know, in the cart. So the cart was in the bag with the items in the bag? Yeah. She put them in the bag and then she just walked out with them. That's Okay. At the same time, officers stopped a vehicle believed to be connected to the incident. All the suspects panicked, making the situation more difficult. Turn off the car. Turn off the car. What's wrong? Okay, three of you, hands out the window and out the door. Okay. I'll get the driver out first. Thomas, driver out first. Get your hands up. I'm in labor. Okay, get your hand up. The car is in the air conditioning. I have to pull down my pants. I have to pull down my pants. I have this baby in the back seat. You guys shoplift before giving birth? >> Who shoplift? We shoplift? What? One of the females is saying she's in labor. Who's that? Okay, just keep an eye on her. We'll get to the driver. And to confirm, the vehicle is fit. The car is on. I'm trying to figure out what's going on. Yeah, we'll get to that. Just keep being compliant. Let's get the pain over first. She's pregnant. Hey, put your hands up. Don't reach down in there. You understand me? I don't care. Don't reach down there. All right. We need you to tell me to stop reaching around. Nobody's reaching around. We're We're not going to give you the reason to take us out. We're not going to give you the reason to >> Shut your mouth for a minute. Listen to what they say. I I don't want to die. We're not It was thought they only remained uncooperative, but unexpectedly, the woman's actions right after that became even more shocking. I'm going to take you the [ __ ] out of here. Stand the [ __ ] up and turn. I'm pregnant. Then why'd you run? Get on the ground. Daddy, I love you. Yeah, step out. Oh, I'm I'm not going to move. I I don't want Step out. Only because your friend ran is why I'm being so aggressive with you, okay? Yeah. Just relax. I got you. Why'd you take No, I'm coming to you so this will not go on. Well, why are you stealing? You shouldn't be stealing. Wait. Wait. Wait. What? Yeah. You heard me. I don't steal. You're being detained for theft. I I I don't steal. You got You got to tell it. I got a feeling she's not in labor, huh? I don't even know what Taking off running, that's crazy. Any weapons on you? Put your phone Put him in my car right here. You can sit in the back, okay? She ran. That's what happens when you run. She's pregnant. Hold up. Well, she shouldn't be running. The pregnant woman's decision to run admitted the truth in place of their words, and ensured that the third woman also faced being placed in handcuffs. Put your other hand behind your back. Put these handcuffs on, okay? Okay. All right. All right. So, leave your hands where they are right now. There you go. Step up for me like I asked you and face the front of the car. Don't grab nothing. Leave your hands right there. There you go. You're okay. You're okay. You're okay. There you go. Perfect. See how we're talking right now? Can we stay this way? All right. We're doing good. I don't even know what's going on right now. She took off on us. Well, I know. I just got here, too. Oh, you guys, please. Can I stay What can I stay Can you guys stay with me here? Listen to Can you guys stay with me? No, listen my stomach. Just stand with me real quick. Please. You're right here, babe. Please. No, listen. Just stand right here for me. Be an adult and get in the car. I am, but I just want to say >> you're pregnant? Be responsible. >> hold my feeling. It's just hold my feeling right now. Please. Just give me a moment. Please, just give me a moment. I'll be compliant. I'm already calm. Okay. Okay. Listen, yes, I am, sir. I said I apologize. Can you guys just stand right here and give me a second? My stomach. That's it. Just give me a second. >> Stop talking. Just give me a second. The woman became overwhelmed after facing the consequences of her own actions, forcing officers to calm her down. Please leave me alone. Please. I just want to talk to you. I need you to take a breath because I can't talk to you like this. Just listen real quick. Eye to eye, okay? I know you're doing your job. I ran. I know what happens when you run because I'm pregnant. Okay, that's understandable. I just need a second cuz I'm pregnant on my right side. It turned me. I just need a second. You can stand right here. Five of you guys just stand right here. Just give me a second because I know that I ran and I know I'm wrong. >> It's okay. I will help you and make you more comfortable. You're right side. You're not helping it and not against the car. So, let's get up into the car and that's going to help you, okay? It's going to relieve a lot of the pressure on your right side. So, I will help you stand up and we're going to sit in the car, okay? All right, let's do it. I don't like him to not touch me cuz he keeps pulling my and I already I know but I understand what you're saying. I I know that you have to do your job to do. >> I just don't want you to be rough with me. I understand you have to do your job. >> Don't turn around to him. Let's stand up. And now sit back on the seat. Okay. I will help you pull your pants up. >> because I'm leaking, that's why. Okay. We have medical coming but they're not going to be able to to see you when you're ready. Officers then attempted to approach the other suspects to gather additional information and it seemed each of them had their own version of the story. I think we're all here like this. Well, honestly, I really don't have no clue cuz I just was coming from Target. I went in the Old Navy and I used the bathroom. I went to Sunglass right next door. I had to get my prescription and then I walked over from Target. And then I walked over from Target and then my friend called me. She was like, "Hey, like we're we're leaving Old Navy but where are you?" I was like, "I just left out of Target." But I once I got in the car, it was fine. It's not like nobody was dramatic or nothing. I just now got picked up. I went in literally when you used the bathroom and left out.
