Yeah, what happened at Walmart? What did people tell me? Um, I didn't steal nothing. Listen, I'm facing a second degree felony. You're not facing a second degree felony either. But you know what my felony is going to be if you are. We often saw shoplifters quietly acting alone in large stores, but what if it was done by multiple people? A carefully planned scheme was carried out to steal a large amount of merchandise. The outcome was revealed in today's video. Cops surprise stop a Walmart shoplifter duo stealing an entire cart full. Every situation comes with a lesson to learn. Like and subscribe to support us and catch the next videos. Next, this pair of shoplifters was not just an ordinary duo. They were a mother and daughter. What is this? On March 6th, 2024, police received a report of an organized retail theft. The suspects were believed to be a mother and daughter who had removed security tags from items. Surveillance footage showed that after removing the tags, the mother placed them into a bag and carefully hung it back on the store shelf, then walked out alone. Only to be met with an unexpected surprise waiting outside. Hey, come here. Come here. Drop your bag. Drop your bag. Okay. Drop your bag. Okay. What's your name? Open Open your hands. Drop that. What's your name? Edna. >> Don't Don't be reaching in your pockets. What's your name? Edna. Edna? Okay, I'm Officer Figueroa with Muskego, okay? We got called about suspicious activity, possibly a retail theft going on. Okay. Okay. What's your name again? Edna. The woman's calm demeanor showed that she knew exactly what had happened, and it seemed even her answers had been pre-planned as she quickly responded to the officer's suspicions. No, I don't. >> have any ID on you at all? Okay. All right. What do you have in your pockets? Do you have any weapons or anything like that? Just keep your hands in your pockets, okay? Is this your car right here, the silver Tahoe? No. No? No. What car were you going towards? Huh? What car were you going towards? I was just going to keep walking. You were just going to keep walking? Yeah. What car were you coming here for? I didn't come in a car. How'd you get here? I got dropped off. By who? Huh? By who? By my uh friend. By your friend? Mhm. We'll wait for Aaron. Yeah. How do you spell your first name? E D N A. Is that it? Yeah. Put your hands behind your back. You don't have any needles on you? No. You sure? Okay. If I get stuck, I'm going to be pissed. No. You don't got no needles on you? Okay. I wouldn't lie to you, officer. Okay. Right now, you're being detained, okay? Okay. For our investigation. Okay. Did you conceal anything on you? No. Okay. Just sit tight, okay? Yeah. Is this your name? Yes, it is. Okay. If you're lying to me and give me a fake name, you know that's a charge. Yeah, I'm not lying, officer. >> Okay. Do you have a driver's license? No, I don't. Have you ever had a driver's license? Yes, I did. Okay. So, if I pull you up, then I should show a picture of you and it's you. Of course. Sit tight. Okay. In reality, the officers already knew she had lied about not arriving by car, and at that point, they directly questioned her about the vehicle believed to be hers. So, you didn't come in this SUV? >> No. I don't even know whose SUV that is. Okay. So, it sounds like from the call staff that they said you came out of this car. No, I didn't. So, the video is going to show us obviously got video cameras on the outside of the building and inside the building? No, I didn't. Okay. I walked through the through through the you know, past it. You do? Okay. You can throw it in the back if you if you want for now. Do you have your gloves? Yeah. Just do a quick search. When we get a chance we can do a more thorough one. Okay, look. Right now you're under arrest for retail theft, okay? We have information from the store from inside. They watched you push your cart out of the store for all those items without making an attempt to pay for any of them. Okay. Okay? Okay. I'm not going to ask you any questions right now, but I'm telling you that's why you're under arrest. I'm going to search you. Do you have anything that's going to stick me, poke me, needles, knives, nothing like that? You sure? >> I have Okay. Spread your feet for me. I'm going to unzip you. Uh-huh. Raise your arms for me. The search of her body was conducted and through this action officers uncovered a hidden detail tied to the theft concealed behind her clothing. What is this? Um That's a security device. >> yeah. I'm guessing the white shirt, Nike shirt on, is a an item from inside the store? >> old. Oh, do you have pockets at all? Looks kind of new. >> No, it's old. You don't have pockets, do you? It's old, very old. Do you have the other earring on? Yeah. Go ahead and step in. >> I got to get They set this one up kind of goofy. Moments later, the other individual involved stepped outside completely unaware of what had happened and officers quickly moved in to catch her off guard. Correct. She walked past the point of sale. This is copper. Okay. Put your hands on your back, both of them. Can you help me here? Yep. Which two? Yeah, I'll get a second. Yeah. Can I grab her out of my car? You good? All right, what's your first name? Precious. All right, we're going to go to my car. Edna was found guilty of retail theft involving property valued between $500 and was sentenced to 4 months in jail. Precious was found guilty of retail theft under $500 and received 90 days in jail along with 1 year of probation. Both were also ordered to pay nearly $1,600 in fines. Overconfidence and rehearsed lies may buy time, but evidence and coordination from authorities will always uncover for truth turning a calculated plan into serious legal consequences. Worse, this mother even stole items to give as gifts for her own child. They should have all been paid for. By you? No, not by me. Was there somebody else with you? Yes. All right, that right there. This shit's all new here, too. I I actually threw this bag back here when I was running. On the 9th of August, 2025, police approached a woman while she was sitting in her car, and she was suspected of being involved in a theft incident from both Kohl's and Walmart. Here was what happened next. How you doing? Good. Getting cheesesteaks. All right. Steal from Steal from Kohl's just a minute ago? No. No, I I was shopping. When you When you get done, we're going to pull out and stop over here and we can figure this out. >> Whoever did the parking beside over here? Well, yeah. We'll stop in there. You got your ID on you? Yeah, we haven't been over there yet. Do you have any idea why Kohl's said you were stealing? No, listen. That's why we're stopping. >> In the past Walmart said you were stealing. That's why we're stopping. Walmart? Kohl's. I was just in there. In the past I have Yeah. Now, Kohl's Kohl's called and said you were stealing. That's why we're here. They said you were stealing today. That's why we're here. No, this Listen, that girl has a vendetta for me. I'm telling you. Is that all you got? Is that your backpack? Yeah. Are you He's going He's going to pull up to the corner here on the left to the place over here, okay? Right here. Where's Chad at? I haven't been here in a while. The woman claimed she had paid for everything, but when asked for a receipt, she gave a highly suspicious story. So, you got a You got a receipt for the stuff you bought or what? My friend does. My friend's mom. I was taking her home after her daughter's birthday party. >> your friend's mom have your receipt? Because it's her her daughter's birthday stuff. And she's leaving here at >> step out here. Open this door. Step out. You only me to license, anyway? I don't know. Can I eat? I don't know. Yeah, you can step out of the car and eat. Yeah, I don't care. She walked out with a whole cart full. I did not. What's this bag full of back here that you got here? That's going to the daughter. Did you Did you get that today or what? No, she's had that for a while. Just have a seat over here on the curb. So, did you get Did you get the clothes from Kohl's today, the one in the bag, or what? >> No. Come back here. No, that's it. How do we get out of here? Can you grab my wallet when you get it back? And it's Jump Family Funeral Services. I need to report You have the right to remain silent. Yeah, I mean All right. So, they said, now listen, they said you pushed the whole cart out. So, that's not a mistake if that's what happened. No, I mean, I had the bag in the cart. Okay. But I I didn't I didn't take it. If they'd have been If they'd have been done, then she was on her, not me. They said they got a whole cart of stuff you didn't pay for you pushed out. No. Okay. There's two big bags full of stuff in here. Set that stuff down. So, the police confirmed that the items they were looking for were in her car, and immediately after, they took action against the woman. All right. So, now what What's What's solve this since we got that you are under arrest for the Pickaway County warrant. Did you not pay for anything? Let's make it easier. Did you pay for What did you pay for? I didn't cuz it's not mine. The stuff you pushed out of the store, is there anything you did not pay for? It should have all been paid for. By you? >> No, not by me. Was there somebody else with you? >> Yes. Oh. Where are they at? They're on their way to Columbus. They don't know about it? Hey, that's what I said, her Her daughter Her daughter lives right over here, and she asked me to take it to her for her birthday. For her and her daughter's birthday. I thought I heard her say that. This shit's all new here, too. I I actually threw this bag back here when I was putting it in. >> This stuff's all new. That stuff's all new. This board game here is new. Do you have a receipt for that stuff? I It's with her. That's what I said. I don't know. >> What's her name? Jennifer. Jennifer Caggett. Caggett? I think Jennifer How How'd she leave? Walk? She No, she drove. I Okay. So, why would she throw the stuff in your car? That don't make any sense now. >> She had to get her car fixed. Okay. It's her granddaughter's birthday. She asked me if I would take her stuff to her granddaughter. If you notice, her story shifted from daughter to granddaughter, and at this point she even admitted that she was the one who pushed the items out herself, yet still tried to shift the blame. How did her her car end up with you, I guess? Did Did you Are you the one that physically pushed the cart out? >> Yeah, unfortunately. Okay. And you're just saying you assume she paid for it? >> Yeah. Okay. I dropped it right here and she threw that bag in the back. So, it's only I thought I'd throw that pink bag. How did her her car end up with you, I guess? Did Did you Are you the one that physically pushed the cart out? >> Yeah, unfortunately. Okay. And you're just saying you assume she paid for it? >> Yeah. Okay. You can set that on my tailgate if you don't want to get through it. That's why I put the other one. So, that's who it was, somebody else, Jennifer And but she's the one that pushed it out. She just thought she paid for everything. She did say that Jennifer has the receipt, but she left it in her car to get her car fixed and asked her to bring all that stuff. She did say she getting stuff for her kid's birthday, so that would So, that would make sense. She said she was getting stuff for her kid's birthday party, so that would make sense why she had all this kid stuff. Yeah, she's shopping with her own money. >> Yeah, shopping with her own money. Okay. That's nice. Somebody put a beer can in my truck. I see that. And a Modelo, too. Or no, that's a Natty. But, Natural Light in there. This might be a felony. I don't know how much all these clothes and everything is. I didn't see nothing else, Shane. We went through the whole Yeah, let me go have to get a price list of this stuff. Shortly after, an officer returned to the store to retrieve the stolen items, and there the suspect's story unraveled, revealing her lies. We were in our Pickway County West on January 1st, so Okay. Can you give us a receipt maybe of all this stuff and tell us what happened? What Like how do you verify So, um my associate saw her and like a big tall one in the back. Then she watched her. She had a was it's a Kohl's shopping bag. Yep. And then she walked up and then she walked it straight out the door with her cart. She was loading up her truck and took Was she with anybody else? Never with anybody. Okay. She claimed she was with another girl who This is she who she thought paid for this stuff, which is bogus. It's a bogus story. I'm waiting on our remote operating center to send me pictures and video. Was it was it a red truck with a bed like jacked up in the back? 3892. The story about her being with somebody is bogus. She was by herself. Just walked straight out without trying to pay. All right. Just let me know the dollar amount. You lied to me. I lied to you? You were by yourself. He's watching the cameras. He just pushed the cart right out. It was a security tags. It was a long time ago. It was a long time ago. Seriously, I mean, yes, I used to boost. Well, but seriously, they got you on camera by yourself. Nobody with you, so It is what it is. You miss stuff for the truck tail or Yeah, you can take them. At least for the water and we'll see out the dollar amount on this. The woman was arrested and charged with theft. Lying, deceiving authorities, or blaming others only worsens the consequences. Ultimately, all thefts are discovered and those responsible must face accountability. Next, these women believed they were truly professional at what they were doing. No, you can look on the camera. I never left with nothing. What is this used for at the boutique? Explain to me again. When people buy stuff, they detach them off, and put them on. Detach what? A loan. On the 17th of July 2023, police received a report from the mall about two women caught stealing. When officers approached, one woman vanished along with the merchandise, leaving the other to seize the opportunity and deny any wrongdoing. Hold on a minute. Me? Yes, ma'am. Look at what's going on. Were you just in Burberry? Who did? The other girl was looking for baby suits. Did you leave with anything? No. So, you're saying any footage that I just saw You didn't see me leave with anything. No. So, you know, I'm going to read you your rights real quick. No, listen. You didn't see me leave with anything. >> Ma'am. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in Yes. You didn't see me touch anything or leave with it. Were you with someone that took something? >> Huh? No, we walked out together. We I asked them for the baby suit. He checked the suit, and he didn't he couldn't order it the next day, so I was like, "All right." All right. So, you didn't leave with a pink bathing suit? I seen baby suits. >> Pink bathing suit bottom? >> No, you can look on the camera. I never left with nothing. Yeah, I'm going to say you can look on the camera. The man was with me the whole time. Huh? Huh? Yeah, the man was with me the whole time. Later, police verified the story with the store staff by reviewing the surveillance footage, and it quickly became clear that nothing matched her claims. The one like that in the Is it the one with the bun or the one with the hair down that took it? >> This one. All right. Uh, do you have a video of her concealing it? Yeah. This is the moment. a little bit. So, she's holding these two shirts. She waits for them to for her to distract him. And then she pulls something off a hanger here. And then stuffs it in her pants. We have two missing pieces but I think she I don't know when she took the other piece. It must have been like in the other corner. And you have camera in the other corner? I do but it doesn't catch her putting it anywhere. >> And returning to the woman, the search was conducted and officers indeed found several items that did not belong to her. All right, so you got your being detained at this point. Is that stuff right here? We can review cameras and That's yours? Were they trying to grab it from here? It's from there, from my purse. Okay. Do you guys have that on camera here? Okay. I'm going to go look at the camera with them real quick. Um Well, this is going to be yours. Let me just I'll hang on to them for right now. This was yours as well? Okay. I'll just let me hold on to it for right now. He'll get it back. Right there. So, the shorts so she had the belt and the Okay. And the belt or the belt and the shorts. Okay. We just have to confirm um where she selected the belt from and then we can I guess add that value to it. Yeah, and if you could see too if she concealed it anywhere on herself or if she was just carrying it. Uh the belt, right? >> Yeah. >> Absolutely. Oh, there's that back. If we could also just get a receipt for the value of that. I mean obviously we're not going to take it from you guys cuz it's still here but if we could just get a receipt for it and then uh we'll decide what we're going to do with that cuz she didn't leave the store with it, but if she concealed it on herself, Correct. Yeah. we know what she was going to do, so. According to the report, both suspects had reportedly split up to target different stores, and the second suspect was quickly identified and apprehended. They give my sister my stuff here. No. Everything on you is down right now. Yeah, I guess so. I don't know. For what? So, what am I going to say? >> For shoplifting. What did I say? You took a bathing suit bottom and bathing suit top. You put it in your pants. It's all on video. Yes, ma'am. I have nothing in my pants. All right. Well, when we get down, Like, that's crazy. Well, Sis, get my phone. Nope, phone stays with you. Everything on you. >> No, I don't need it. My kids need it. >> Okay. This is crazy. That's her suit, brother. Shirt. Is this your Oh. Nope. All right. I got one on her. Where's the uh merchandise right now? >> We got to mention We got to mention the bottom. I don't have anything in my pants. Is this yours? Is this one of yours? But is it one of yours or All right. Oh, this is Burberry. This is Burberry's. We wasn't We didn't have anything I didn't have anything in my pants at all. They lying. They So, they found Zueski's over there. Yeah, he's watching video, so. Like, what? At this point in time, she She won't talk with us, we can just transport her back, so. I'm talking to y'all. What do me to say? The woman continued to deny her guilt even as the stolen items were recovered, but she did not mention that police had soon uncovered a crucial piece of evidence that was nearly impossible to dispute. Have you got anything else in here you did not? Mhm. Why did you tell me about the magnet? What you mean? It was in my shoe. I didn't even know it came out. Okay. What do you have it for? I own a boutique. So, what do you use this for? In your boutique? Um the sweat along all the fences of where I work. Okay. Do me a favor, take your shoes off. So, it was in your shoe and it just fell out? It must have. I don't think it was in my shoe. Okay. So, real quick, do you have anything else stuffed anywhere? Cuz you're Listen, you're going to be searched by a female. They find it then, it's just going to you're going to get more trouble, so. Okay. That's what you said before you didn't tell me you had this magnet. >> Yeah. But why would I I mean, what difference does it make? Because we know what this is used for. Well, what shall we use it for? >> You're not using this at your boutique. So, what do we use it for? So, we use it for >> I had a boutique. I sell clothes. And okay, what's the boutique? You said what it's called? Yeah. Where is that at? Well, I live in Maryland. What town? Marlon, Baltimore. Baltimore, Maryland? >> Mhm. And you're the owner? So, what is this used for at the boutique? Explain it to me again. Like people buy stuff and detach them off and put them on. Detach what? Alarms. In the end, they were ultimately charged with shoplifting. Dishonesty only makes things worse, no matter how confident someone feels, the truth will always catch up, especially when evidence is undeniable. Worse, the chaotic couple chose a reckless and irrational way to solve their problem. The one that came before me I said matter of fact I did. >> handled it ourselves. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. She shot here and she shot over there in her leg. Okay. All right. On December 23rd, police received an emergency call from a Domino's store reporting an ongoing disturbance, but they did not know this incident would go far beyond their imagination. Returning to the initial moment of contact, the customer, who was also the suspect, completely made everything tense. Daddy, these [ __ ] in our jump me. They came out of whatever and they jumped on me because I asked for a refund. I've been waiting for 6 days and I came up here and I asked him, "Where is my money?" because she just hung up on me when I called. She jumped me. Nobody going to fight. It's a little lady that just left who was a eyewitness. She called right talking about order from last Thursday. I told her it was from last Thursday that I cannot look up my order from last Thursday. I got to email her for the customer service. She over talked to me blah blah blah blah blah. Y'all got me [ __ ] or whatever cuz the man got out the car first with his phone talking about y'all can't hear me. Y'all can't hear us cuz y'all got the music loud first of all. Nobody never said we can hear y'all. The [ __ ] was mad because I said I can't go all the way back to next Thursday last Thursday to get your order for you. This is the lady right here who think the whole thing actually. I'm sorry. I can't make it because she said my license plate number on there. I didn't want any issues because I I came up here to pick up a pizza. But this is the video. >> you know who was the instigator? I got video of She was the instigator. That's why I started recording it because the first When they ran out there, my kids are in the car and they were in here and she came in here towards them with it. They told my kids to get out of here and all I see is my kids running into the car petrified because this lady is getting out her car about to fight this lady over So, even witnesses had footage capturing the suspect's erratic behavior. And it seems she showed no remorse at all when admitting it. Okay, and it's clear what it says on the receipt. You know what's clear? The video on this one. >> Period. It's right here. Yes, and what did it say? >> It shows you assaulted her. I assaulted her when she was the one who ran up on me. Not to mention she was the one who came out of the store bothering me. >> I just watched the video. >> Uh-huh. You totally instigated the thing. You swung I instigated it. So, what was happening when we were right here at the window? Uh only video I see is right Oh, so all you see is right here, but even though I was at the window, I came up and I asked for my money back. She was the one who was getting an attitude. Why would she be out here and allow me to do that if she wasn't the one who was instigating it? She was the one who walked around and walked up on me. Are you kidding me? So, why is she out of the store walking up on me? If she's not instigating it, you tell me that. So, I got my fists up cuz I'm ready to defend myself. Are you kidding? Huh? And then did you see the other girl jump in and then [ __ ] hit me and kick me and [ __ ] Did you see that? Yeah. So, you're telling me they can assault me or run up on me, come out of the [ __ ] store and run up on me, and they're not in the wrong? Let's go get our We didn't start nothing. Come on. Show a [ __ ] self cuz I ain't going to do [ __ ] Show a [ __ ] Well, we could arrest you both. Oh, come on then. I'm ready to go. The woman, driven by anger, completely disregarded right and wrong. At the same time, the man accompanying her appeared, but he also contributed to escalating the tension. Oh, that's what I took the They ain't just sitting here. That dude was hitting him out here. Are you kidding me? No. Come on, let's go. Let's go. We don't need y'all. We should have handled it ourselves. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. video, you do what you need to do. Come on. Let me Let me Come on. Come on. Come on. That's why they ain't got no money. We won't We won't vote for anybody. You can leave. Okay, so if I assault or assault her, why didn't they call the police? Why didn't they call the police? If I was assaulting If I was assaulting them, why didn't they call the police? They did? That's a lie. That's a lie. Come on. That's a lie. Thank you. Thank you. They came out of the store and assaulting me. Came out of the store. And so it's okay for them to come out and be aggressive. That's what you're telling me. Cuz I asked for my money back. The money y'all paid for a [ __ ] pizza that they [ __ ] up. And I asked for my money back. And they give me attitude with me. And this comes out the store and says, "I'm going to beat your ass." So I pull up and I'm like, "Bring it cuz I'm not afraid of you. You're not going to threaten me and give me my [ __ ] money. Are you kidding?" I don't know. Are you kidding me? All I've been doing was sitting here waiting on them to be professional and give me my [ __ ] money back. At that moment, there was not enough evidence to arrest them. So both were allowed to leave, but what police did not expect was that they returned just hours later, making the the far more serious. Who shot? Me. Where at? In my back. I don't know where he came from. He walked up on the side of us. Go ahead and sit down right here. Go ahead and sit down. Who else got shot? Just you? No, she's in the back. Ultimately, he was convicted of two counts of first-degree assault, two counts of armed criminal action, and unlawful possession of a firearm, ultimately receiving two life sentences plus an additional three years in prison. Letting anger spiral out of control and choosing to handle it yourself can quickly turn a minor conflict into a life-changing crime with irreversible consequences. Next, the pair showed no remorse while committing the wrongdoing together. Oh my [ __ ] god. No help. No, that's not That's not cool, bro. [ __ ] [ __ ] Bro, and there's a [ __ ] to ride it, bro. If we do get out, we're going to get out till Monday. On November 3rd, police conducted a manhunt after two female suspects stole merchandise worth thousands of dollars and fled. Officers quickly captured one of the fleeing suspects near a nearby dumpster, and this was what happened next. Why didn't I say anything? No, we got her. You got one detective. Did I go away? No, we got the female who was behind the dumpster and gave it to you. I'm going to go to jail? Always. Why? I don't want to take no I don't want to take all the merchandise though, sir. Although she attempted to evade the police, the woman denied her actions, but under pressure from officers, she began to tell her story in a way that favored herself. We were just doing testers. Perfume testers. You're what? >> Perfume perfume testers. You were stealing perfume testers? Yeah. Okay. That's all they took. Promise they're not even They're not even They're probably not even in the pool all the way. Okay. Um, you and this other gentleman were? Okay, what's his name? I um, he's her friend but I don't know his name as either. Okay. You know these guys? I know her. Okay. So, were you taking them and putting them in his bag or what? I had them I had them I had I literally had them in my hand. You had them in your hand as you were walking out? Some of them fell. They dropped on the floor cuz I heard them crack. Over there? When I was running and them crack. Like they're falling I had cuz I had them had them my jacket. Okay. And um I took off my jacket and they fell on the floor. Okay. I took the already even like they were store merchandise. And did you guys come in here knowing that you're going to steal those or Can't say. Okay. All right. I'll have some more questions for you in a second, but I just go and stay in here. All right. >> Are we going to jail? I'm not going to put any cuffs on you right now, but if if you get squirrelly, then we're going to have to make it happen. All right? >> But are we are we going to jail? I don't know yet. I'll come talk to you more here in a second, okay? >> but just one quick question. Like I know no matter what is bad for just having taken it, but at least test I mean testers are still like like you know merchandise, but it's worse if we were to write it with actual merchandise merchandise. It's still store property. They're probably going to treat it all the same. But just give me a second. I'll turn the AC on for you back here. Just don't get squirrelly, okay? Okay. On the other side, the second woman was also located and taken into custody, but what stood out was her complete lack of remorse. Take your phone. We'll take your phone for you guys. I'm getting arrested for what? We'll talk about that in a second. You don't know? You're just being detained right now. I don't want to interrupt you. Yeah. You got it good? Yeah, that's fine. That's fine. Yeah, hold on. I just want to lock them for you so What do you What's your income on the phone here? I'm just court. For what? Um What's the charges? Some [ __ ] up charges. Um from like 2018. It was like manufacturing, distributing this video. Are you I was a minor. Yeah, when I was 18. Okay. Uh we'll go ahead and do you know your probation parole officer name? Um yeah. Jeff. Jeff? Jeff. Jeff just Jeff. Kibble. Kibble, yeah. Kibble, okay. Are you staying up to date on everything? Yeah. Yeah, of course. All right. Yeah, you want to go ahead and I can just have her sit here. >> Yeah. Okay. Is it better to cut through the mall or Yeah. Yeah. Just go and have a seat here for a second and then >> honestly know cuz I'm on my period and I don't want to bleed through my clothes. So like >> Okay. Just stay next to this pole for me, okay? The woman was still on probation, even wearing an ankle monitor, and officers remained patient as they tried to uncover the full story of what had happened. >> You know everything this girl's doing and when she jumped in your car yesterday, you had to look over and be like That's a That's $3,000 worth of fragrances. What are you doing? I swear never have I ever looked through your bag. I never would have. But him and her ran and jumped in your car. So she was with We got video and photographs of your car and them stealing and getting in your car. Right. So you drove them from the scene of the crime and you said like Like that's an easy way cuz I'm just I'm really telling you everything I know. I'm just saying that, you know? And you're trying to hide it and you're looking for the answer like you know that they did that yesterday. You guys ran to your car and like Yeah, but like honestly just like if you ask me on the spot like where was I at this time, you could have asked me what you did yesterday. Well >> Instead of me thinking of what I don't want to lead you into it. Well, yeah. I would never be with him. For real. I didn't know that she was with him yesterday. But yesterday you knew she was with that fool. Why is she hanging out with that Judy? Um I don't know. She had told me that he said he was 19. He's kind of delayed developmentally it seems. You know? Like I never actually really talked to him like that. For somebody to like take on the responsibility of having care and custody of someone like him. Like doesn't seem very fair to me. I mean, you tell me. Do do you think that he's sane enough to be with her? Back at the station, the first woman initially appeared to show remorse, but it all vanished once she arrived, leaving no sense of guilt at all. So, one is going to be separate from theirs. You can break. Oh, it's worth $20,000 $20,000 worth of stuff? It's worth >> No, mine. Um we're going to figure that out and talk to the sergeant and do that. I'm going to figure out what I'm going to do. I I don't I just don't I don't get it. >> not a I only take testers, though. It's number The same stuff that she's going to jail for because you guys were working together. No, we're not. No, we're not. You guys You guys You guys How you guys even going to prove that? >> You guys You guys have a video for the judge. So, so friends can't hang out? Wait, wait, wait. It's I've never been in trouble. Never, ever. We've never even been in together, yeah. Uh hold on. What's your name? Yasmine. That's [ __ ] Okay, you can tell that to the charging officer. He's the guy that was just here telling you. That's [ __ ] No, I can't be a charging officer when you got charged. Yeah, but she didn't take nothing. She Literally, that was all me by myself. She has a probation hold. I was out on town. And then Oh my god. Testers? That is mine. I Other stuff. I only take testers. What is going on? >> Is it Is it out on parole? We're out on parole. She got out on parole. You're out on paper or what? I I would just die at this point. Yeah, I'm good. Thank you. Yeah, I think I'm going to go. We'll be around if you guys need us, just call us. Oh, for sure, dude. Thank you. Um I need you to Yeah. All right. Donnie said you could just go and do that. Is that fine? Go to the people right now or did you want us to wait for the three weeks? So, what's your charge? He said he's going to get you released or They haven't told me. That's what he said, right? Yeah. So, what am I being charged with? So, what's our charge that I'm getting? So, the charging sergeant is going to come in and tell you guys exactly. I don't want to say exactly until he knows, okay? Shouldn't he be just like shoplifting? No, because you can do it multiple times out of a career long of things. So, you're getting conspiracy? The contributing to the delinquency of a minor cuz he's a Oh my god, no, no. No, that's not That's not cool, bro. Hell no, that's not cool at all. That is not cool at all, you guys. I didn't even know he was in there, bro. Him and him didn't go in together. The woman appeared angry once her charges were confirmed, but as soon as her friend was around, she seemed to take pride in those very charges. Dude, listen. I'm facing a second degree felony. You're not facing a second degree felony, you dumb ass [ __ ] But, you know what my You don't have no You don't have no You don't have no worse than shoplifting. You don't have no convictions, stupid. Cuz he doesn't shoplift the car, right? Your indictment is gone. I know, huh? I know you didn't have so much jail time. I didn't even make some jokes, too. On god. Uh y'all want to make some jokes? I didn't even make some jokes, too. First of all, it's the dumb ass law that don't I got it. I thought y'all [ __ ] so damn perfect. Y'all perfect then you guys don't have perfect hair like Do you call people Is that really Yeah. You want to like Can I keep my beanie on? I got a better idea than you any day. Huh? What? Do you want to fix your hair or anything? Yeah. Yeah, let me just Hold on real quick. I think I'm almost done. Use your strong arm. Swear to god. Swear to god. Does it hurt? I ain't going to lie. You just have an iPhone. I don't make any money around here. I know. I know. Ow. They were ultimately charged with conspiracy, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and multiple theft-related offenses tied to their repeated shoplifting scheme. Getting involved in repeated crimes, even over small items, can quickly escalate into serious charges, especially when others are involved. Next, the couple even pretended not to know each other when everything was exposed. >> I got to tell you about warrants for pollution. So, we're just going to We're just going to go with that right now. Can I get in? On February 9th, 2025, officers pulled over a vehicle after suspecting it was linked to a theft as the suspects, Lewis Watson and Maggie Bennett, allegedly took an entire cart of merchandise without paying. This is what happened next. Back passenger. Thank you, guys. Nice to meet you. How you everybody doing? All right. What's your name, brother? My name is Paul Watson the Third. Paul, step out of the car real quick. What's going on? >> We'll explain everything to you in a second. I'll back you up, oh. I got to get your phone for you. I got you. I'll back you up here. You got anything else on you? No. What's going on, sir? Let me explain. Just slow down a second. The man hesitated completely when handing over his ID to the officers, causing them to suspect that he might have a criminal history. You got warrants or something? Uh, I just got a whatchamacallit for paying child support. Okay. Okay. If it come up, I don't know if it come up or not. I don't know if it's local or not. It might not even extradite in this area. Where was it from, like the area? >> Daytona. All right. Might be specific to Volusia County. Sometimes they're specific to counties only. You know? Especially if it's something so minor like that. Yeah. What happened though? 84 Where are you coming from? I was in the car my I'm coming from Bunnell. Bunnell? Hey, so you work for Uber? Where'd y'all pick up at? Okay. Okay. I'm good. You got the what? Okay. No, that's fine. What you say not yet? No. No, no, no. I got I got I got some stuff to talk to you about. What happened? He's going to explain it, but we got to go through our normal process, man. Yeah, but I want to talk to you about something that happened at Walmart. Yeah, what happened at Walmart? I was hoping you would tell me. Um I didn't steal nothing. I didn't say you stole nothing, but I asked you where you coming from, you said Bunnell. Oh, hey brother. Just tell me what happened. Okay. I was Coming I was coming I was in the store. And uh I was shopping. Some ladies uh tried to stop me or whatever like that and I told her I said um I was getting ready to go up here and whatchamacallit, but I don't know what she had going on. So, I just walked out of the store. I didn't steal nothing. I didn't take nothing. Okay, well I didn't steal nothing. Got you. The man denied committing theft, but what raised suspicion was his visible nervousness when officers began asking about the items. Okay. Where did the stuff you were turning come from? No, I'm saying I had stuff in my car. Okay. I'm a little upset and nervous. Yeah, you're good. Yeah, that's why I want you to just like calm down. Okay. I need to understand what happened, so you can describe it to me like I was up there. All right. I was coming I was in the store. I was getting ready to turn out and and go towards the whatchamacallit. I wanted to put some money on my card so I can pay for my whatchamacallit. What's the whatchamacallit? Uh pay for my stuff my items. Okay. Okay. Um the lady stopped me and made this whole big deal the And I didn't know who she was. So, I'm like, "Man, you know what? I didn't take nothing. That's all I know. I didn't steal nothing and I didn't take nothing." All right, where did she talk to you at? At the door like uh right before the door. Okay. But I didn't take nothing. I didn't steal nothing. I didn't take nothing. I didn't go out the door with anything. You know what I mean? >> I left the cart in there. So, I did not take nothing. So, you just went back and got your car in the parking lot? No. What happened to that? >> I went No, I I waited probably I went I went No, no. I walked off cuz I didn't want to I don't know what's going on. I just want to I just want to clarify. What was it you were you were returning, though? Man, I left my return to thing in there. I ain't even So, what what were you returning? No, I had a cart, right? I was going to return The way it goes, I didn't steal I didn't take nothing. Man, I'm not asking you You already told us like nine times you didn't take nothing. What what were you returning? >> trying to We're just trying to get everything straight. The man had no idea that the officers already had full video evidence of his actions. So, no matter how much he denied it, he had already sealed his fate. What I did, sir? I got to detain you for that warrant for for evolution. Oh, man. So, we're just going to we're just going to go with that right now. Yeah. I'm just trying to move your watch a little bit. I'm not trying to get your watch, bud. But we're going to do that real quick. That's it? Yeah, cuz I have to detain you for that. >> together? You guys don't know each other? No. I'm good. 212 total stops. All right, sir. I'm just saying. I'm 212. Got one detained here at the Is that Walmart? What is this? That's my room key. That's your room key for where? Huh? For where? For uh sleeping in a motel. Okay. I understand. I still got to get her name. Why? For what? Because right now I still got to figure out a ton of information from Walmart. Officers approached the woman shortly after, but things became strange when despite being seen riding together, she denied everything. You and that guy didn't come up here together? >> No, we did not. I need you to tell me what's going on because you know that doesn't make any sense. You need to help me figure out this because I'm the one that's got to make sense of He don't want to How am I supposed to believe you for something? I don't know, sir. Just tell me what happened. I don't know, I don't know, I don't know. I wasn't with him. I can't tell In the car? Yeah, I'm not going to do anything. You sit down here, but I can't have you back in the car. Look at my leg. It's really swollen. I'm going to have you sit down out here, but I can't have you back in the car. You're all right, you almost fell over. I know it. Oh. So. I'm back. Can I make a couple of calls? Just give me a sec. Please let me talk to the >> Give me a sec. Just check the license. Where's your ID at? Oh. Oops. Thanks. All them cards, whose cards are those? Maggie? I don't know who them are, sir. It just was in my pocketbook, it's not a big deal. Just like the man, the officers also had full footage capturing the woman's actions and she surely faced the consequences of her actions. You made a thing, okay? Yes, sir. I'll let you get two, three puffs of that before we put it out, okay? You know I need my backseat with it. Is he lying to me? I don't know. You got all kinds of stuff going on. We're going to have to have a conversation and I want to have a real conversation with you. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, the lighter and lighter for me, please, please. Oh, you need a light? I'll let you get a puff or two, but you're going to go I'm trying to get you some AC real quick. I need to figure out some stuff. Okay. Pleasure. Yeah, yeah. You had two or three puffs out of it? >> Yeah. All right. I'm going to have you lean up against my car right here for just a second, okay? I ain't going nowhere. So, you can stop playing with me, man. I promise you that. I'm not going nowhere. I appreciate that. Sometimes people tell me that and they take off running. Do you have anything on you that's going to poke me or stab me? Okay. Do you have any pockets on these pants? Wait. Wait. I got my driver's license. Your driver's license is in your pants? >> Yes. Okay. Right there. I'm I'm not going to reach in your pocket. >> Just let my arm go and I'll stick my hand and get it. Okay. So, it was in her pants? Listen to me. This is your last chance to lie to me if you have any kind of concern. Do you understand that? Okay. Lewis Watson was charged with felony retail theft, providing a false name to law enforcement, and an active warrant out of Volusia County with the bond set at $970. Maggie Bennett was charged with felony retail theft, providing a false name to law enforcement, and an active warrant out of Putnam County, and was held without bond. Lying and making excuses only made their situation worse, proving that dishonesty will always lead to heavier consequences. What do you think about cases like this? Have you ever been arrested for shoplifting before? Is this a trial or something that she ain't Is she Are y'all going to lock her You haven't worn it. I'm going to get my [ __ ] Put your hands behind your back. >> Y'all are [ __ ] lying ass mother On February 21st, 2024, officers approached a residence after receiving information that a shoplifting suspect from Target was there. They'd even prepared evidence for the case, and what happened next unfolded quickly. Are they actually going to press charges? Sweet. Hey. Hey. Are you Camera Smith? Yes. Hey, I need to talk to you about some incidents at Target. Uh-huh. Um Is that you? Who is it? Huh? >> Who is it though? Hey. That's you in all those photos, ain't it? Mhm. Two of them, yeah. Well, I did a bunch of research and I went and showed these pictures on the streets and somebody I said you. Well, they gave me your name. And so >> And they swiped my edges for fun. I did research on you. Um With the officer's arrival and the accusations presented, both women showed no sign of surprise at all, raising suspicions about whether this was truly their first time. Have you ever been arrested for shoplifting before? Is this a trial or something? Is she in Is she Are y'all going to lock her up or something? >> Oh, no. I'm going to take warrants on her, but I just wanted to talk to her about this situation. Um so Have you ever been You haven't been arrested for shoplifting, have you? I I was like 17, 18. We'll We'll deal We'll We'll deal with that. Um As soon as one woman went inside, the woman believed to be the main suspect immediately showed an even more uncooperative attitude and even began questioning the officers in return. So who who brought y'all to my house? Be honest. No, I brought myself. Like I said, I I don't >> Look at y'all my edges though. My edges don't show it to nothing though. That's the other one. So you don't know who that other girl is in that? >> No. Whose truck is this right here? It don't got nothing to do with nothing. That truck just got bought the other day. Okay. Well, here's the thing. You You have an arrest warrant. Not for the shoplifting, but for a traffic ticket. So, we're going to put you in cuffs. Oh, my god. Let me get my clothes. Hey, what the [ __ ] is that [ __ ] lie? Hey. You have a warrant. Let me get my [ __ ] Put your hands behind your back. >> Y'all some [ __ ] lying ass [ __ ] I told you not to open the [ __ ] door. We don't have to provide the My mama got a warrant for her. Just the rest of We are not. Go inside and get her shoes like she's asked. The chaos created for no reason did not make the situation any better. It only worsened further with the defensive attitude from her family. Y'all are some liars. Listen. Why the warrant didn't take me to jail? We just called for some violence here? No, we're recording. >> Don't pull away from us. Cuz y'all some lying That's why you waited till my mama got out of the car. What car? No. Listen. Let me see the [ __ ] warrant. I know. Let me lock these so they don't get tighter on your wrist. It's all right. Man, come on. I'm trying to. Just come on. Come on. I am trying to. Stop fighting. This is a whole another thing. >> Listen to me. Man, come on. I don't see nothing. No That's what I'm saying. Stop. Go and get the shoes, please. My mama lied. Why? This white. Please go get shoes. She's asked for shoes. Let me lock these so they don't get tighter. >> warrant. Just show the warrant. Will you listen to me >> Hey, what traffic stop? This is I just for failure to appear on something about failure to appear. I'm going to lock these so they don't get tighter on your wrist, okay? Okay. They do need to provide the warrant. Y'all lied to me. I'll show you I'll show you the warrant when we get in the car. I didn't do it. Pull away. Oh, my god. We're going to get you some shoes. Do you have anything on you that's going to stick me, prick me, something you shouldn't have? The suspect fell silent and appeared annoyed while being handcuffed by the officers, but it only lasted briefly because she soon stirred the tension again. I was not the Caleb is hiding. I was not the driver. >> who's car this is here? >> God damn. Who the guy whose car this is, is he here? No. We'll see. You So, your warrant is from They signed it on the 10th day of October in 2023, okay? And what is it for? It's a failure to appear. It's original charge traffic. I can let you see it when we get to the car, okay? I want to see it now. My mom wants to see it. Well, I don't have to show it to her. Why not? Show it to me before you take me into custody. I'll show You're already in custody. When she gets back, then I'll give me my stuff. Well, once she gets that, we'll go to the car, I'll search you, and then I'll let you see it, okay? I'll go up with you. There you go. Why, mama, do you like this? This is your They can't do all this [ __ ] >> All right. Why, they ain't no mother Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. They talking about who car this is. This is not no Jerry Rogers car. This one's registered to him, it is. I I don't see nothing. But this is He's not in there. That's what Is that We're not I'm going I'm going to go ahead and tell you I'm not taking you out of handcuffs cuz what happened over here. So, what I can do Listen. Listen. What I can do is I can slide this over you. I can slide this over you. This don't look like you can come and tell me what you ain't got. You ain't shot nobody. [ __ ] him. He shot nobody [ __ ] >> Hey, stop right the [ __ ] now. Come on. If you don't, I'm going to bust you in your [ __ ] mouth now. Beyond that, it became truly disappointing for this family when, aside from the woman's wrongdoing, officers quickly discovered another family member who was also facing a separate arrest warrant. Come on. You're Amy Rogers, right? Yeah, but I already took care of it. No, you don't. You got a warrant for abandonment of a child. So, It's still showing active, my man. All right, you got cuffs on you? If they say they don't want you, if they say they don't want you, if they say they don't want you, we'll take care of it, but it is showing up as abandonment of a child. Oh, honey, do you want me to call you a cab? Thank you for cooperating, my man. If they say they If they say they don't want you, but it's in the system, it says abandonment of a child. I was here looking for her. I just thought I had the wrong address, so I checked that tag and it showed you had a warrant. So, Ma'am, can we We will. We will. Stay here. This is too much attention. We'll get out of here as soon as we can. It's what? Work 10-26 with the Rogers 88. The woman was charged with retail theft and obstruction. Repeating crimes and responding with hostility never made a situation better. Recognizing one's wrongdoing and choosing to change was always the only way to avoid deeper consequences. Worse, the couple even treated committing the crime 20 times as something trivial. Oh, there's cameras all over. It was a big deal. I accidentally missed this [ __ ] today. Well, a big deal times 20 turns out to be a big deal. On March 18th, 2025, officers were dispatched to a Walmart after receiving a report that a group of suspects had committed theft by skip scanning items at the store, and it seemed the loss prevention staff there was already quite familiar with them. Simmons is the last name. We've got multiple out of Waverly. They bagged, they skip scan stuff at the registers. We got put on to them and ran their card. My boss probably has 20 cases, 15 cases that he's put in. They're over a thousand dollars from past thefts, and we got a dozen or more items not scanned. I just got to get the receipt, but they're both in there, but that's the wrong guy. Are you from this jurisdiction? Yeah, um we I've got a warrant pulled up. I can show you where they're in the system, what they're what they've been doing. But, um we've just been waiting. I had them in the other day, but the handheld was messing up. And, it was like two items, and I was like, "Well, we'll wait and get us all in." And, this is actually this is all of them. I do about every every time you've been in here. This was $188. This was $56. Which is a lower $114. I mean, there's 20 20 or more cases that you guys were involved in. I know what you're trying to tell me. You didn't do anything wrong, but I mean Why do you think I don't watch you? This is two cases out of Waverly. This is what That's why I mean >> They've been involved in 18 events. 16 from us so far that's loaded up. This one's $201. That's him pushing it out. There's her blue pickup truck. Um their total value is 1356 at the moment. And, it's it's all either not scanning stuff at the register or um scanning one bag in two, three. We have receipts. All the all the photos. There's still some we still haven't paid yet. According to the report, there were a total of 20 incidents involving the same method connected to the two of them, yet they showed no sign of guilt, and that attitude became even clearer when the woman was separated for questioning. So, apparently this is a thing that happens frequently. I'm not trying to be funny if I say this. How can you tell every little child coming in here can't Oh, there's cameras all over. I understand that, but I understand that also things can be missed and accidentally not saying it's always, but you can't say instead of every time we come in here we steal something. That's not You're right. >> So, not that question. Not worried about that right this second. What happened today? No, we was I always stand there and talk to people cuz I know everybody in here. Thanks. In the end, the suspect faced aggregated felony theft charges, multiple counts, restitution, and even possible state prison time, depending on the decision of the prosecutor and the court. Repeated dishonesty never stayed hidden forever. Sooner or later, the pattern exposed itself, and the consequences became far greater than the small gains they once thought were worth the risk. More astonishingly, the next robbery was carefully planned by the store's own employee. Get on the ground. Get on the ground. Get on the ground. Is there You told me It's usually a robbery. You cover front, I'll cover left. Don't police swarm it. Get Get the manager on the phone right now. Just hold that, Brian. He is saying that they do work. He just don't have access to them. Once you guys are done clearing the business, um I'd like to bring it back. I have no idea how those subjects got in. Brian. They came in the back door. Okay. >> I wanted to kick this because it said "employees only" or if there damage has been there. There's no shoe mark. I get here early every day and I just open up the store. I went to the back. We had a customer call in saying that they were coming in to get a iPhone. So, I'm putting all our packages away, checking our safe to see if we have the iPhone and things like that. So, I start the time delay and when I start every time I start the time delay I tell my wife to start a 10-minute timer. Then a customer came in so I started working with the customer. She was talking about her internet's not working, her friend's internet's not working. And so, I just go push the buttons and once I stepped in he said he had to get on the ground. Where was she at? Right behind the door. From the final footage of the suspect fleeing, the police quickly traced their lead and at that moment everything became extremely tense. Hands up! Put your hands up. Put your [ __ ] hands up right now! Turn around! Anybody else in there? No. All right. You got cover? Yeah. Who else is with you? Don't move. There's somebody else in this whole camera. Did anyone borrow your vehicle? Yeah, I let somebody borrow my vehicle. Yeah, I did. >> Okay. Who Who Who is Who is Tyree that you know? No. That was her story, but with the evidence confirmed by the cameras, the woman eventually admitted a little about the person who had borrowed her car. The best part right now is just to be honest about everything. Because you can either not be in trouble or you're going to be in a lot of trouble. I can't make a promise right now, but Huh? You let Tariq drive your car? And you have T-Mobile stolen? Yeah. So you got it out of my car? Yeah, it is. And you said it was in there. Okay, so this is I'm sorry. Greed and betrayal can quickly turn a planned crime into a disaster, and the truth will eventually surface, no matter how carefully someone tries to hide it. Man, stop running. I'm an athlete. I got my man violated. Boy, you just violated my ass, my dick. Boy, I'm a grown ass man, but you just violated me, man. On the 20th of March, 2024, officers received a call reporting the presence of a wanted man charged with petty theft, but the situation was far from simple, as a tense pursuit immediately erupted the moment police located him. I'm going to taze you. Taze your ass. Man, stop running. Give me your hands. Give me your hands, sir. Give us your hands. >> Take out your phone and get tased for nothing. Give me your hands. He's definitely got something in his pocket. All right. [ __ ] [ __ ] That's all for your kids, huh? You tough now. Handcuff me. The man's irritating behavior only made a spectacle of himself. He showed no remorse, and even continued dragging the situation out. I'm going to get him in the car. I'm going to steal his car. You let me keep my brother. Brother, hold on. You better have him sit in the car. He ain't running nowhere in that car. All right. Let's go. Let's go. Nope. I'm going to steal his. You got anything on you? No. >> What's that? My wallet. I got it. Hey, you got my key, bro? Who? Hey, come and get your key, bro. You hold that. What is that, man? Don't be grabbing and searching on me. You can't search you. In fact, this suspect already had an active warrant, and his decision to run this time would certainly add even more charges against him. Stop doing that. You were not going to do all this. It's okay. I got to check this. That's the only way to check this [ __ ] [ __ ] y'all going to take me to the county, [ __ ] They going to search me and all. You already knew that, but you running for? That's enough. What's the charges? I'm out. I'll come right back. I got to leave my stuff in my car. All right. Finally, he was charged with a probation warrant and obstruction of justice. Running from the police only makes a bad situation worse. One reckless decision can instantly add new charges and turn a simple warrant into a far more serious legal crisis.
