[laughter] >> Please. >> Okay. Listen, I can put another set and loosen them. That's all I can do. But you're going to stay in handcuffs. >> Okay. I'm telling you, it just hurts. >> Okay, that's fine. >> That's all I'm telling you. >> Okay. So, is would that be sufficient? They're gonna put another pair of cuffs on so it kind of spaces it out a little bit so your shoulders aren't um back like that. >> It's not just it's my wrist and my shoulder. >> Okay. Well, well, like I say, nothing gonna be able to do about your wrist. It's a temporary restraining device that it's it's not going to be comfortable. And if you're under arrest, that that that's how that works. They're not they're not going to take the cuffs off. >> Do you understand that? >> I understand what you're telling me. I speak >> I'm saying like this guy here not what I'm saying. He's walking right here. >> Huh? >> He keeps coming back. He's not supposed to be here. He's trespassing. >> That guy. >> Yeah. She lied about everything. >> Do you have an ID on you? >> No, I don't. >> You guys are going to How do you know who I am? Look at my name. Look my look my picture up. >> I have my ID. >> I have my ID. >> On September 15th, 2024, police were dispatched to the Walmart parking lot after receiving a report of a shoplifting suspect fleeing. Officers quickly searched for the woman in a surprising location. >> Send it to my I1, please. Just let me put the stuff back. >> Why are you doing this? My friend was making me do it. Running. >> Okay. Okay. Well, stop running. Okay. Okay. >> What all did you take? >> Just close. You want to close. Just close. >> Here. Grab. Grab it. >> Just give it to >> All right. Here. We're going to be going over here 1683 at 21108. >> The woman repeatedly made any excuse she could to deny responsibility after which she was ordered to return to the Walmart office. >> Please, >> we're going to go over here and we'll talk baby. >> Here she is. >> All right. You don't need to be answering that right now. Switch to three for a minute. All right. >> Do you have an ID on you? >> No, I don't. >> What's your name? >> What What all did you take? >> We're going to be going through your your uh purse right now. But she continued pleading and even resisted, causing chaos. >> I already know. I already know who you are. >> No, I'm not. >> I didn't even say it. I already know who. Stop pulling away. Stop pulling away. >> Stop pulling away. >> Come with me. Please let me go. >> Behind your back. Stop pulling away. >> Please. >> My babies. I don't have anybody to watch me again. >> Okay. Stop. >> We're going to take it away. >> Pull away. Knock it off. >> Can you please let me go? >> Knock it off. >> No. Stop. >> Okay. Stop. >> Stop pulling away. >> If I beat you in the car by yourself. >> Okay. We'll make arrangements. Knock it off. >> We're going to take you down to the ground if you don't stop. >> Please let me go. Let me go. Let me go. I'm not You guys are going to How do you know who I am? Look up my name. Look my Look my picture up. >> I have my ID. >> I have my ID. >> Yeah, I don't know. You got to >> Her attitude changed, no longer appearing pitiful, and her lie about not having an ID was exposed. She still tried to beg, but the situation had become far more tense. >> I could not do this. Please let me go. I have to go to my baby. Let me go to my baby. Please. Please. >> Please. I have to go to my baby. Please. Please. I'm begging you. >> Please. I'm fighting for my baby. >> Can we get another? >> Please >> stop resisting. You're under arrest. >> She tried to bring her children into it to erase her guilt, but her acts of resistance did the opposite. She even kicked a police officer. Yet now she behaved as if she had done nothing wrong. >> Talk about a war. >> You detained me for no reason. My ID's in there. >> I'll get all our info. >> Yeah. You're under arrest for retail theft. The very least and resisting. >> What do you mean? No. You arrest me. No reason. >> Uh retail thoughts. >> Okay. >> And resisting. >> Can I stand up? >> I don't know. You got to cooperate. >> Okay. >> I'm sorry. >> You caused this. >> I have an 8-month-old >> and you come in here to steal with an eightmonth-old. Can >> I stand? >> Yeah. You need a 124 >> 34 at Walmart. >> Clearly, if the woman had thought about her children from the beginning, she would never have committed the theft in the first place. However, it appeared she was only lying about her concern as she did not know any information about that. >> Please let me go to my car. Please, please let me go to my car. >> I got to go to my car. Are you listening to what I'm saying? >> I can't. >> I already explained this to you. >> Where they at? >> 32. We're on the grocery side. >> Please go. My baby is there. Please let me go. Resisting arrest. Her attempt to manipulate sympathy only worsened her situation, proving that dishonesty and resistance destroy any chance of leniency. Taking responsibility early is always less damaging than pretending to be a victim. Next, the man shamelessly lied even though the police had witnessed everything. >> Hands behind your back. >> Hands behind your back. >> Hands behind your back. >> All right. On July 6th, 2024, police were dispatched to the scene after receiving a report of a theft as the suspect was believed to be a man who stole packages and then fled and officers quickly blocked his path, causing the situation to immediately turn tense. >> Stop the car. In the end, the man was charged with package theft and unlawful possession of a weapon. Even with a visible injury, the man still chose to commit theft, showing that physical limitations don't excuse unethical behavior. In the next case, this robotic man displayed a series of unbelievable behaviors. >> No, man. You can't make me sit down. Sit down. >> You can't make me. So, I'm standing up, man. >> You can't arrest me. >> You can't arrest me. You You can't arrest me. On January 21st, 2022, police responded to a report from Walmart about a suspicious man through the surveillance cameras. The man displayed multiple fertive behaviors resembling theft along with several actions that also left loss prevention staff confused. >> Yeah, I didn't know how to describe. [laughter] >> Yeah, that was not that was not what I was expecting heard when I saw ponytail. >> So, he's back in the back now. Okay. So, he's in the back back, right? >> Yeah, we think he might. Well, he just grabbed his suitcase, but he took the tags off the suitcase, so he might try to stuff it. But we originally thought cuz he was acting like really weird like he was cut. >> I got like >> it was like a It's like jewelry. Well, he got it on his neck right now. Um >> stuff he picked up in here. >> Yeah. >> That he like opened up and put on. >> Okay. So, he was opening like packages of stuff from in here like uh merchandise >> and he's wearing it. >> What he was cutting open at We don't know if he still has it or not. So, yeah, we got to call cut the stuff. >> Yeah. >> So, he's definitely not all there. >> Demonic noises. I don't know. It looks like he's on something. >> Yeah, >> he's moving and switching his head around stuff. He's either on something or he's saying that he shouldn't be. >> He's either on something or off something, >> right? He was suspected of not being fully coherent as beyond fertively taking items, he also exhibited behavior believed to be disorderly at the location. A concern that employees had already reported. >> I mean, he cut the tag off the suitcase. >> So, the stuff he opened, what did he do? >> Well, he got the necklace on right now. And then, like I said, he ripped the tags off of the suitcase. Um, he had got a necklace earlier and put in his pocket, but we put it in the toilet. >> Oh, that was nice of him. >> So, I was I don't know. He He all We're all um But it's only video drinking. Let me just tell him leave cuz I don't know how long he going to be in here. He's been here for like 2 hours already and he already been spitting on the floor and just doing stuff. 419. >> Yeah, sure. >> At that point, police approached the individual and it was clear that everything about him appeared abnormal, from his clothing to the way he spoke. >> Hey, what's going on? >> What? What's up? >> What's up, man? >> What's going on? >> Not much. How you doing tonight? >> I'm great. >> You good? >> Yeah. >> All right. So, the reason we're out here is that, you know, they've been watching on the cameras for a little bit. They saw you cutting stuff up >> and they pretty much just wanted to leave, man. >> All right. So, just hang tight for me real quick. All right. You got any You got a ID on you? >> I'm going to leave. >> Just hang tight for me, man. All right. You got You got any ID on you? >> No, I didn't cut anything up. >> You got no ID? >> No. >> Nothing like that? >> No. >> Okay. Oh. So, once again, you got nothing. >> No. >> No wallet? >> No. >> How are we going to pay for this, man? >> So, we got called here, obviously, man, cuz obviously the three of us don't decide to come to Walmart. >> Um, somebody said you was making noises, using the bathroom, you opening up packages. >> I didn't open any packages. >> You got that necklace on from inside the store. You threw one in the trash can. >> No. >> No. >> No. >> Those >> Yeah, you threw one in the toilet. >> No. >> No. So all that was just made up. >> I don't have anything. This necklace is from the tattoo shop. >> Okay. So like I said, all that is just made up. >> I don't know what you were saying. I don't know what you were saying. >> Okay. >> The man denied everything, but what he did not know was that police had been watching everything and shortly after he was immediately taken into custody. >> Walmart's been watching you on the cameras for a little bit. All right. So cuz everything done a going to be placed under arrest for disorderly conduct. All right. Put hands behind your back. Stop. >> What am I being placed for the arrest for contact? >> I'm not being >> Put your hand behind your back. >> Stop. >> How am I being arrested for this conduct? >> Cutting up packages. >> I didn't cut up. >> Relax your hands, man. >> You got >> Don't hold your hands. Relax. >> I didn't Hold on. Hold on. How am I being arrested for this movie condo? >> Cuz everything you've been doing, the actions you've been doing, you haven't done anything. >> Can you bring that up here so we can >> I'm just Why am I under arrest right now? >> I just told you, man. >> What are you telling me? What am I under arrest for? >> I just told you disorderly conduct. >> How How am I being disorderly? >> I just told you before I told you disorderly conduct. All the actions you've been doing, the stuff you've been doing with the packages. >> There are no packages. >> All right, man. >> What packages are you talking about? >> All right, man. >> Walmart has very good cameras. >> Okay. What are you saying? >> They've been watching you do everything I just said. >> I haven't done anything. >> All right, brother. >> So, how can you arrest him? >> How can you arrest me? I'm not worthy. >> At the loss prevention office, police discovered additional items he had hidden away. So let us see how his attitude changed afterward. >> Do you need that? >> No. Okay. >> Yes, I do need that. >> Okay. >> It's right here. >> That's not y'all. >> Yeah. >> And you asked me to leave the store. So if you ask me to leave the store. >> No, I said Walmart. >> No, you asked store. That's what you said. >> Stop, man. >> I said Walmart. >> You said when I asked you to leave. >> No, no, no. I said Walmart wanted you to leave. >> Okay. >> But with the way you've been acting, cut me off there. All right. No, we're not having this discussion. >> The [ __ ] out of here. We don't have this discussion. You asked me to leave this school. >> I said Walmart wanted you to leave. >> Okay. So, [clears throat] >> but you didn't let me finish. >> I did. >> You stop You stopped me right there. >> Listen. >> This is my necklace from a tattoo shop. >> This is my necklace from a tattoo shop. >> Why are you taking this off from my neck? >> We going to make sure. We're just going to make sure. We're going to look at the camera and make sure. Okay. >> See, >> I'm trying to stand up. >> Sit down. >> No, man. No, man. >> No, man. You can't make me sit down. [clears throat] >> Sit down. >> Can't make me I'm standing up, man. >> You can't make me sit down. >> Look, >> that is my necklace from the tattoo shop. >> We don't look at it. >> Listen, you don't sell that head in the store. The man appeared to have no memory of any of his prior wrongdoing. But even when police showed him exactly what he had done, he did not care at all. >> It's much more than that. >> Okay. What's your last name? >> What you find out is much more than that. >> That's fine. What's your name? >> You can't arrest me. >> You can't arrest me for anything. >> What's your last name? >> You can't arrest me for anything. >> My name? >> Yes. That is my name. >> Sto your name. Can't spell your name. >> I can't spell my name. Can you spell my name? Can you read? Can you write? Okay, leave it that way. That's fine. That's fine. >> That's fine. White boy. >> Yeah, let's leave it. >> Let's keep it like that. >> Y going to find out. Y know what's going on. >> I know. What happened? >> Think you know what's going on. What happened? >> Think what it is intended for you to think. You can't arrest me. You can't arrest me. You You can't arrest me. >> In the end, the man was charged with disorderly conduct and transported to Dalb County Jail. Actions driven by denial and lack of self-awareness only worsen the consequences as clear evidence will always outweigh excuses. Even worse, the woman showed no sense of guilt for stealing at all. >> She has a roll of a Walmart receipt for some reason. >> Are you having to shoplift to provide for your needs? That kind of deal. >> Huh? Is it? >> On January 10th, 2023, officers approached a woman after noticing she matched the suspect description from a theft that had occurred at Target. This was what happened next. How >> are you? I was stopping you because this vehicle uh was possibly involved in a shoplifting from Target. So they provided the description very well of the vehicle and uh description of you know you so uh do you have your driver's license with you? I do. I >> Yeah. I don't you know. All right. Thanks. Yeah. So, I mean, you essentially know what I know right now. I mean, there's a deputy there that has confirmed it. Um, and they're trying to get all the details hatched out, but um, they provided a very clear description of a vehicle which matches this description and almost an identical tag number. So, um, you know, just uh, hang out, okay? You don't have any weapons in the vehicle or anything. Okay. All right. I'll be right back. >> The woman appeared confused and cooperated with the officers as police continued questioning her to gather further information. >> So, where are you heading today? Where? >> Inter. >> Interlockan. Okay. What brings you in Palm Coast? >> Just driving through from Edgewater. >> Just driving through from Edgewater. Okay. >> What takes you out to uh Interlockan? >> I'm saying that I'm like going through divorce. >> You're going through divorce. >> And my mother has a lake house. >> Have a witness respond. >> So, um, so do you live in Edgewater? kind of. Yeah. And I have a storage impact water. >> You have a storage unit out there? >> Yeah. Like I'm kind of taking all my stuff from mom or to the lake house right now, but it's too much for the house. >> Okay. Uh just north of West 100 on uh US1. >> Yeah. >> All right. Just hang tight for a couple minutes. We're just kind of trying to figure out what's I just rolled up. So I don't, you know, I'm just here standing by for safety. I don't really know a whole lot what's going on. So, >> you don't know what happened? >> Yeah. >> Did you make any stops when you got off the highway? >> No. >> Where'd you stop? >> Sorry. >> You stopped at Target? >> Oh, nobody said you took anything. Oh, so what' you get at Target? >> Nothing. I didn't get anything. >> You didn't buy anything? No. >> Under the officer's professional questioning, she admitted that she had gone to Target and soon after gave statements related to the stolen items from the store. just to to shop because I like I buy and sell Legos. So >> you buy and sell Legos? So you were shopping but you didn't get anything? >> I didn't end up getting >> You didn't get anything? No. Okay. So they just didn't have what you were looking for. >> Yeah. You seem like you're shaking a little bit. Yeah. you know, >> well, they got the property. >> Yeah. At out she I mean, she passed all lines of sale outside. They recovered it outside the store. You know, she's got a bunch of Lego boxes uh like sellers Legos and all that. I mean, I can see in the back possible that uh according to the store, they're saying that um she's been hitting other stores in the state. >> I'm going to grab some water. Okay. >> Okay. Any weapons in the car? >> No. The woman appeared nervous after accidentally revealing several details. Shortly after, officers stated plainly that her image had been captured during the theft incident. >> All right, so real quick, before I go searching the vehicle or anything, would you mind just going to the back of his vehicle so that way we're not as close to traffic and so you are aware that thing is sharp, so I don't want you getting hurt. Okay. All right. Be careful with the ants. >> Yeah. It looks like you look a lot like you. >> We're going to do a show up and uh the deputy's going to bring by the witness that we have and they're going to say whether or not that what whatever they observed was uh you or not. I didn't take anything from that. >> Well, I mean, uh, according to them, passed all lines of sale, got out of the store, >> and they recovered the property outside the outside the, uh, doors. >> That was not outside. Can >> Okay. Sounds to me that you have kind of an issue with this stuff, you know, and maybe you should get some help, you know, cuz this isn't the way to be. Under police pressure, she partially admitted her actions, but her attitude showed no remorse at all. >> I'm having a rough time. I know, honestly. Like, I'm going through the worst muscles. >> Yeah. >> And I'm sorry. >> Some people that shop have been doing it for the thrill or they're on hard times. But, you know, uh it may seem like not a big deal to you, but the the the big corporations, they just write it off and they end up raising the prices of everything else. So, the people who work their butt off to pay for stuff, me, I end up having to pay more for stuff like that. You know what I mean? My shoplifting bill or shop shopping bill is more because of theft. I don't think it's fair. You know, she has a roll of Walmart receipt paper for some reason. >> It's not Walmart. survey.com. >> Really? >> Yeah. >> Survey Walmart. Okay. >> Wonder if Walmart has anything on her. >> From the receipt rolls officers recovered, it could be inferred that she was quite experienced in shoplifting. However, her statements denied any involvement suggested by that suspicion. So, are you I mean, are you having to are you having to shoplift to provide for your needs? That kind of deal, >> huh? Is it basically >> I don't want to pay too much. >> I'm sorry. I can't >> I don't really want to see too much though. >> Oh, okay. I see what you're saying. >> I'm starting to dig up the uh things. These are some brand new shoes in a Target bag. No tags. Um there's an lot of like Target bags are in it um impressed like state. Here's a Walmart roll. Here's a Target roll. Blank receipt paper like but on the back it's the store paper. >> So I guess explain to me like so I mean you have these items and um according you know it's it's your word versus theirs, right? Cuz they're saying something. Explain to me what happened. How how did it all go go down? I was pushing a car out of the store and they said they stopped me and I just walked away. >> Where did they stop you? >> In the in the vesting room, the door rest. >> Um, you mean like the main doors to the store? All right. So So you didn't you didn't uh you weren't like in the parking lot going to your but you were heading out and they stopped you before you could get out. >> They stand. >> What's that? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Yeah. He needs to just be driving by. Okay. Yeah. See, just let us know on LE3. Yay or nay. >> Also, um have your guy contact other LPS for other targets because we're finding a lot more merchandise. >> Okay. >> But do your thing. >> Have her stand just by the back of your vehicle if you could stand over there, please. >> In the end, the woman was charged with retail theft. Repeated dishonesty and [music] inconsistent statements only deepened suspicion. while a lack of remorse made the consequences harsher and unavoidable. What do you think about cases like this? [snorts] >> Jordan, you need a hand down there? You good? I'm good. >> You got a hobble? I've got one up in my bag. On September 23rd, 2025, police responded to a call from the airport regarding chaos that occurred on a Frontier Airlines flight. The suspect reportedly refused to depain when instructed, and upon arrival, officers saw that the woman showed no shame. >> She's on the plane. >> She's on the plane. >> Yes. I want to get off the plane. [snorts] >> Okay. >> Yes. She's in the fourth >> flight attendants are the ones that called it and stuff. >> Okay. Yeah, I'll go I'll go down there. Hey there. >> Uh, the one and four on the left hand side. Four on the left hand side. Yep. Brown. >> Brown. Okay. >> Excuse me, ma'am. Hey, I need you to get up and come to me. >> Why? >> Because you're not going to be on this flight. So, I need you to get up and come with me. Okay. >> To what? >> Give me a reason. >> Because you're not allowed on this flight. >> Reason. >> They're not letting you on this flight. That's my reason. So, you're not allowed to be on this flight. Now, come on. So, we can do this two ways. I You can come off this flight with me or >> as I asked them, they wanted some food. >> Okay. I'm not going to talk about it with you here. You can come off the flight with me or I can clear everybody out and then I can drag you off the plane. >> You clear everybody out. >> The woman had no intention of cooperating and exactly as warned, the police carried out measures to ensure the safety of the other passengers. But first, they needed permission from the flight crew. >> So, she's obviously not going to come willingly here. Yep. Um, so we're probably going to have to remove her off a plane. Do you want to clear out the area or >> It's your choice. We will leave it completely up to you. Where are you more comfortable? >> Cuz my my worry is that if she starts going fly, going to hit somebody else. >> So, if we could just kind of clear the first four rows, the first four, and then maybe the couple behind in case you like flutely. Absolutely. All right. >> Yes. This way you >> Sorry. Where are you guys heading to? >> Denver. >> Denver. >> Yeah. >> No, you're not making it out of Nashville today, it seems like. >> Oh, no. >> Just the first couple rows. Sorry we had to do this to you guys. I just don't want anybody getting hit by anything if you start swinging it or something. You know >> what? She just yelled out, "I actually have a bomb." But no one going anywhere. Cool. >> The woman attempted to threaten that she had a bomb on her after seeing the police take action, but none of it was true. The police then took even more decisive action against the woman. >> All right, let's go. >> I said Oh, you want to It's going to explode. >> Let's go. We're We're not going to jump like that. >> It's going to explode. Oh. Oh, it's going to explode. It's right there. Hands behind your back. Thank you. Huh? Yeah. She said she had a bomb on the plan. >> Oh, that's fantastic. That's just another charge. Good job, buddy. Yeah. Yeah. Can I disconnect this or am I cutting it >> back still? >> It's still there. All right, guys. Find a different >> Get off. >> No, the bomb is still there. I promise I >> just keep making it worse. >> Hey, take this. >> The police successfully removed her from the aircraft. But the difficulty did not stop there. The woman made every step of the way anything but easy. >> Hey, Jordan, hold up a sec. If you can get her I'm going to grab her legs cuz she's going to pull us both off of this. If you can get her torso. How could there? >> No, you've already proven you can't. Come on. Really? Stop hooking your feet. >> I want to get on that side. >> You want me to act right? >> Let's go. Let's go to Now hand off. I think I thought Okay, >> Jordan, you need a hand down there. You good? >> I'm good. You got >> I can work. You got a hot. Sit down here. >> Sit down. You got a hobble? I've got one up in my bag. >> Immediately after the police had ensured all possible safety measures, they questioned the woman. But she cared about nothing other than herself. >> And I'm like, stop. I'm not doing that. >> We're going to have to pull her legs back out >> this time. What you be doing? I do it. >> We've already told you what to do multiple times. >> Questions. >> I want you to count my money on >> Do what? >> Yeah, we're going to count your money. All right. >> Together. >> Together. >> All at least. >> We're going to count it right up here on the way down to jail. Okay. Do you have anything on you? >> What? >> Do you have anything on you? Any weapons? Any drugs? anything like that. Okay. >> I need to make sure my mothers get done. >> Dispatch, go and get a metro number for public inox to start and then we'll and I mean false reporting and then heaven forbid if it's not a false report then we'll go from this. Yeah. >> Okay. >> Disorderly resisting PI false reporting. The woman was charged with making a false bomb threat, a felony, along with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and public intoxication. Her bond was set at $31,000. Her action showed that reckless behavior and false threats only made a bad situation far worse. Turning a simple refusal into serious felony charges and consequences that could have been completely avoided, the foolish thieves chose a store they were trespassed from to commit the crime. All right. >> We're not listening to commands. What do you mean? What are you doing? >> Listen to command. >> You heard us call you on my own. >> On October 2nd, 2022, officers were dispatched to Walmart after receiving a report about the appearance of two suspects who had previously been trespassed from the store, but had returned with far from clean intentions. And the police pursuit to locate them was anything but easy. >> Yeah, I could make contact with her and she looks like the one in the picture. I mean what they do with the check. >> Go up and find out. >> Okay. >> You want to go up there? >> Yeah, we'll go up there and find out. >> Marlene. Marlene. >> Arlene. >> I had nothing but trespasses. >> If I get her in the unit, you want me to trespass again? >> Yeah. >> Then you'll charge her. >> Yeah. >> Cool. I'll go on the road. >> What was that again? >> I figured cuz I was going to go run some errands for my work right now and I saw them come in with like a huge bag and they they slept in and they were like you you could just tell they've been running cuz they were like out of breath. >> Thank you. In here then, right? >> Yeah. Thank you. Heavy tattoo. >> Anybody run in there? Blonde. A couple. >> I'm showing one out of >> They're running across the street. They're too far from me. >> Cross around here. >> The suspects fled upon seeing the police and the situation gradually escalated when signs of their presence were discovered at a nearby vacant lot. Stop. I'm going to tase you. >> I'm going to tase you. >> And I got officers all the way around. Stop. >> Get through the entrance real quick. I'm running across behind done. We're running north. >> Get down. >> I'll have the detain here shortly. The male individual wearing all black with the red hat went towards the sun country near Griggs and Walnut. >> I got him 151 South. >> Turn around. We're going to use the dog again. Just so you know. >> Stop. >> Look over here. >> Thus, the woman was arrested. And at the same time, officers elsewhere also located the remaining male suspect whose capture proved to be no less difficult. running that area. You're going to catch THAT UNIT RIGHT THERE ON STOP WEST. >> YES. Towards the walnut. We need a unit. Hey, where's he at? >> Well, way right here. Way right here. >> I think we all have eyes on him. They're going. He's going to be in a gated area. >> One's just south of Gal. I got the >> Keep walking. >> You shouldn't have ran in the first place. >> Yeah, he's smoking. Just walking around. Let's stay off the air for now. We got officers in there trying to detain him. >> GET OVER HERE. GET OVER HERE. >> RELAX. >> YEAH, it looks like he's trapped in there. He just walked. >> Get up and I'll get >> Looks like he was smoking a cigarette. He has something black in his hand. I think it's a >> All right. He's going to the south in the middle. Get on the ground right now. YOU CAN GET ON the floor. >> Get on the ground. >> After arresting the suspects, officers attempted to recover the fraudulent checks from their persons as it appeared they had also tried to dispose of the evidence of their crime. >> Kill me too. Check his walnuts. What's your command for both location? >> What's your name? >> Right next to building. >> What's your name? >> He's going to come up. >> What's your name? Damn. >> Hey, there's a available ocean unit. >> Who has the the bag of the property? >> I don't know of anybody. >> We don't We don't have a bag yet. >> I thought somebody said there was >> No, that we're just saying what description is. Katie's out there looking for it. There's somebody else looking for it. They came through this way, right? Yeah, I'll walk back to >> I thought they still had the bag here. >> What is that? There. That's it. >> I never 818. Yeah, this is the only thing I saw him with. >> We got the back. >> So, as of right now, we're just going to book her on the 40 on the crimp side for shoplifting. >> We don't know if she shop. I know the >> soon after the suspects were taken to the police station. It could be said there was no remorse at all. They treated it as nothing more than a failed attempt. >> Setting up. Do we have units blocking off Ironwood and to the south of the >> target? We just need one more unit in the back and we'll be in and out. uniting off iron wood. And >> several days later, police summoned the victim whose identity the suspects had impersonated to commit fraud. And it was truly shocking that she had known nothing about what had happened to her. I think she got these out of your mailbox and then once she got the check so she put your name and because [snorts] she got the check so that's what she was doing. >> And so you don't know Arleneius or [cough] >> No, she's lucky I don't. >> Okay. And so you do want me to file charges on her for Okay. >> And so that means she took out everybody's mail cuz there's five people's mail >> more than likely. Yes. But I don't know. I I can't >> tell your sisters. You can tell your employer. >> Yeah. Um my suggestion is go get a mailbox. I know they're kind of expensive, but >> they'll prevent this, especially if you're going to be getting checks regularly. >> I didn't even know about these. >> Okay. >> I I I don't >> I'll make you a copy then of that. >> We intercepted the letter. It looks like >> Yeah. And so what they do now is there's a thing called informed delivery. So, you sign up for it and then you put your [clears throat] address in and then the post office emails you a snapshot of the mail you're getting. >> Oh, cool. All right. >> And so, um, she's known to do that. And so, she'll wait out there for the delivery and then go and take them out of mail. >> This ain't even the first time. >> Yeah. And so, identity theft is weird in the state. And now if she had to use your date of birth and anything else besid just your name and the address, I could get her for the actual identity theft. But you have to use like a personal identification number like your social or your driver's license or something like that in addition to the name. >> No, this is forgery. This is a forgery issue transfer. The suspects were charged with fraud of $250 to $500, resisting arrest, contempt of court. Fraud and deception may seem like shortcuts, but they only lead to deeper consequences, especially for innocent people who never saw it coming. Next, the reckless couple ran to escape, but only to cry. >> I want to be [laughter] about myself. >> Please don't shoot me. >> Get on the ground. Get on your stomach. >> I got heart. get on your stomach. >> On February 8th in Ohio, police received a report of a theft that had occurred. The suspects were believed to have fled the scene and upon arriving immediately, officers attempted to track down the suspects based on the information provided. >> They went over the railroad tracks. >> Yeah, they're in the >> Oh, they're in the further that way. >> Okay. Headed south to this line. That's where we're headed now. Female got a red shirt, right? The suspects fled into the woods believed to be a vast and difficult area to search. But they forgot that with bright clothing, police quickly located one of the two. >> Stop. Stop. I'm chasing the female right now. I don't know where the >> Stop. Get on the ground. >> Where's the male? >> He went that way. >> Hand you guys. Hold on to this side. >> Am I going to jail? Why are you laying Thomas? >> I didn't RUN FOR YOU LIKE THAT. I WAS TRYING TO help you guys. >> I always thought I was doing it. >> You want to stand up? Do you want to stay sitting for a minute? [laughter] >> I was standing up for a minute. >> All right. >> So, why were you running from Walmart? >> I was just with my boyfriend and I they stopped him or whatever. >> All right. [laughter] >> And then they said, "Won't you get your boyfriend?" That's what I want to do. >> At the same time, on the other side, police also found the remaining suspect. He attempted to flee, but the attempt failed under police restraint, leaving him struggling to breathe. >> Get on the ground. Get on the ground. >> Get on the ground. >> Get on the ground. >> Please don't shoot me. >> Get on the ground. Get on your stomach. I got >> Get on your stomach. >> I got Please, man. Get on your stomach. Get your hands out. >> On your stomach. I told you. On your stomach. >> Okay. Give me your arm. You hurt me back. There you go. >> Well, if you would listen to what Iing tell you, you wouldn't have had that problem, would you? >> Sir, I'm just trying to say I got a heart problem. I can't breathe. Please. Please, sir. >> Roll over on your left side. >> I can get my back. Please get me off this ground. >> Roll on your right knee. >> Let's walk where we came. >> My girl's pregnant, man. >> You want stupid to be stealing then, huh? >> She was hungry. I got back. >> Everyone has back problems. >> I don't know why. >> Well, you just ran a mile. I think you're all right, bud. Rolling. I did not run. I can't. >> I will. When we get to the cruiser. >> At that moment, the two were brought back together. I ain't never did nothing like this. >> Like I told him, it should I should have just literally went through the >> On January 4th, 2025, police received a call from Walmart after a woman was suspected of failing to fully pay for items at selfch checkckout and leaving the store. All right. Could you when you get a sec? I know you guys are busy. Can you get the CCTV? >> Yeah. >> Oh, okay. Cool. All right, ma'am. Hello. I'm Officer Foster at the Washington Police Department. To start, I'm going to read you your Miranda rights. Okay. So, before I ask you any questions, it is my duty to advise you of your rights. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can be used against you in court or in other proceedings. You have the right to a lawyer for advice before we ask you any questions and to have him present during questioning. If you cannot afford a lawyer, one will be appointed for you free of any cost to you before any questioning if you wish. Do you understand those? >> Okay. All right. So, >> so if you look up, I ain't never had nothing like this. So, some stuff just didn't scan or something. >> I got you. >> I literally scan this stuff because and I probably shouldn't be scanning all this stuff, but I ain't never been in no trouble. Look me up. I got so you were just shopping and then >> like I ain't change a tag. I ain't put nothing in my pocket. I ain't do nothing. Like that's why you don't see like a lot of stuff or whatever, but it I did have a good amount of stuff where I went through the youth scan and I should have just went through the, you know, the regular line trying to put the stuff, you know, doing it myself and stuff like that, but nothing intentional. >> The woman denied all actions considered wrongful, but the police reviewed the surveillance footage and everything proved otherwise. >> That's a bunch of stuff up on the side. >> Mhm. when she grabs the hand scanner. I initially saw like this never got scanned. >> I gota cuz they can use the >> Yeah, the hand scanner. So if you watch it, she just put it there and she'll never go to bed. >> I already read her Miranda. >> So it's like most of the stuff that wasn't linked. >> And then she never scan those pants. She just >> Okay. Thank you. I'll send you a link here in a little bit. I appreciate it. Have you gotten everything you guys need to as far as items and all that? >> Yeah. >> Okay. All right, ma'am. So, did you watch any of that while he was playing? >> That's why I said you see you don't see me intentionally. That's why I said everything up there. I just >> Yep. We're not saying you intentionally did it. I'm not saying accidents happen. We're all human, right? >> So, but as I just witnessed, if you watched it too, I'm sure you observed it as well. You're sc Let's say I'm scanning these three. It looks like you're boom and then going quick and boom. So, you're missing out. So, >> did you come here with any intentions of not fully paying for something or >> if you take my I can show you my link card. Like my link card has literally like $900 on it. >> So, it was like I was blessed to have, you know, got my link and everything like that. If you look me up, I ain't never did nothing like this. Like I told him it should I should have just literally went through the full thing or whatever the >> thing instead of the you scan. I'm putting everything on there just but like I was watch if you watch too you don't see me like being sneaky if you if that makes sense. >> No, the only the only reason I'm bringing that up is cuz we're here almost daily. >> Oh, >> so we do hear a lot of the same. >> I live out here so I'm not coming out here to steal. This is my Walmart. >> The woman tried to portray herself as a good person and the police listened. But based on what they witnessed, they could not overlook the crime she committed. So, as I saw, you did you missed items and then proceeded to leave the store, which people I think a lot of people think stealing is the instant you leave the front doors, it's stealing, but it's technically the last point of sale, >> which if I remember correctly, it's right after the registers. So, at that point, if it's not scanning, you're walking out with it. >> Well, I wouldn't know. I never stole my It is still stealing at this point. So, I'm going to wait till he gets back with the training receipt and we'll go from there. But >> I wanted to get this stuff like I said, I had >> Well, it's we're kind of at that point where it's like you didn't pay for it and then they bring you in here and then you want to pay for it now. I don't I think we're kind of past that. >> Oh, that's >> Yeah. >> You scared me. I said, "No, I see too much Tik Tok. What happened? What happened?" >> That's all I watch is Tik Tok. >> Nothing's going to get crazy in here. We just got to I got to wait till he gets that receipt and then >> Do you have anything on you that would be like worrisome for us? Do you mind if she searches you >> or I can? I don't want to make you do everything. >> No, you just want to set that stuff down. >> Do you mind if I go through your purse? >> I'll have you turn around and then please the wall there. Go ahead. Don't be surprised when we take place up on your >> And then you don't think that you have anything on you? >> I know that. >> Thank you. I appreciate it. 237. >> Oh, okay. >> Walmart says, >> "All right. Do you just want this back right here?" >> And then I'm sorry. I >> Yeah, but I forgot to put a few things back, but I'm going to get them to you here. >> There was no further objection, and the police promptly reached a conclusion on the case. >> All right, ma'am. So, I'm going to give you this. So, you are being charged with retail theft. >> Okay. >> What does that mean? >> So, you're going to have to report. >> Yep. Do you got to go to court on February 3rd, 2025, 9:00 a.m. in Pein? Do you know where the Tazwell County courthouse is? You do or you don't. Okay. So, it's in Pein. If you Google it, Taswell County Courthouse, you should be able to find that address pretty easily. >> I want to say it's all capital. >> Other than that, does that make sense as far as the court date? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Do you have any questions regarding that or anything else? >> That's pretty close to it. Yes, that's the circuit clerk, but it's going to be right next to the courthouse, I would imagine. Okay. Do you have any questions for me or anybody else or anything like that? Okay. Other than that, are you guys done speaking with it? Okay. Other than that, you guys are free. You're free to go. Okay. >> Okay. Thank you. >> Yep. >> Just goes that court date everything. >> Yep. Whatever you told them, just stay in court. So, >> so Walmart will be there or something to tell. Who >> was that? >> Feel free to tell the judge. Just normally I met the judge. Yeah. >> Um, but other than that, you're free to go. So, >> does she need her? >> Oh, my receipt. >> There you are. All right. Have a better day, ma'am. >> Finally, the woman was charged with retail theft.
