Ma'am, [laughter] >> they say they caught you on camera. All right, so camera is not edited. You can't edit uh any video within a few minutes, but we try to get to this point. >> I don't give a [ __ ] [ __ ] >> Missking. Okay, >> get your ass away from me. >> Shoplifterss thought they had prepared lies to justify themselves when they were caught. But what they did not expect was that the surveillance footage had already exposed them, forcing them to face reality. These are the moments when Walmart shoplifter didn't think CCTV were watching her. We are This is Law. Don't forget to like and subscribe. Let's start with this irresponsible mother. >> Let me see the camera cuz I didn't hit nobody. MA'AM. >> On the 18th of April, 2024, officers received a report from a Walmart store about a woman who had fled after shoplifting. And more seriously, the incident involved young miners. This was what happened when officers approached the suspects. >> Step out. Get out of the car. >> Get out of the car. >> Step out. >> Get out now. >> Get out of the car. >> Don't pull on me. >> Do not put on me. >> Don't pull on me. >> Get out of the car, >> ma'am. I wasn't on it. >> MY CAR. >> I GOT KIDS IN MY CAR. >> DO NOT do not I wasn't trying to run from you. What the relax? >> Because the chaos erupted unexpectedly, officers attempted to calm the remaining minors. But it seemed the situation was not as easy as they had expected. >> What are you doing? What are you doing? You're not going that way. You're not going that way. >> Get off my mom. >> You're not going that way. >> Cuz they're saying that she took way. >> Stay in the car. Stay in the car. Stay in the car. >> GET OFF MY MOM. >> STAY in the car. >> Listen. You're not going THAT WAY. STOP TOUCHING MY MOM. YOU DUMB. >> RELAX. I'mma put you a cud if you don't relax. You understand me? >> Relax. >> Tell him to get off my mom. Tell me off my mom. >> She's being detained right now. Okay. Till we figure out what's going on [laughter] cuz she took something from Walmart. Okay. >> Oh god. She didn't take nothing. Okay. What are you talking about? >> Relax. We're going to figure it out. Okay. >> I hope this don't work. >> We're going to figure it out. Relax. It was clear that they could not yet distinguish right from wrong at that moment. And returning to the mother, the officers directly presented the accusation. Put >> your hands behind your back. >> For what? >> Put your hands. >> We are investigating a crime. >> What crime? >> Retail theft at Walmart. >> What crime? Hold on. What? >> I didn't take nothing from Walmart. >> Well, we got to figure that out. YOU'RE >> LOOK, CHECK. LISTEN. YOU CAN CHECK. >> LISTEN. >> YOU CAN CHECK RIGHT NOW. >> YOU'RE BEING DETAINED. Figure this out for theft. Someone said you stole a lie. Okay, we got to figure that out. >> No, YOU CAN CHECK MY STUFF RIGHT NOW. >> OKAY, WE WILL CHECK. YOU CAN CHECK OUR stuff now. >> We are going to But we need to detain you. >> You can check it now. >> Go check it. >> Stop resisting. >> You're going to get charged with resisting if you continue. You need to stop. Stop. >> Stop. >> Stop. >> Stop resisting. >> Can y'all tell him to stop getting to get off my mom? >> Relax. >> Can you tell him to get off my mom? >> Relax. >> Can you tell to get off my mom? She's about to get another charge and she doesn't relax either. Okay, we're trying to figure everything out. >> Okay, let me tell her to calm down. >> Okay. Okay, you can do it from there. >> Clearly, the mother made the situation worse in front of her own family. And even after calming down, it seemed that they were not what she truly cared about. >> Can you grab my keys off the floor? >> Grab my keys off the floor. >> I'm not going nowhere. >> Can you take a seat inside the car? I don't want to sit in the car. >> Well, y'all have AC. So, let's >> I'm fine. I don't need it. >> Y'all need to check. >> Relax. Relax. Okay. Huh? Can I give you check? >> Well, we're we have an officer going over there. They're going to go check the video for us. How long does it take? Can I give a hug? At least >> just give us a second. Okay. Just give us a second. Once we once we figure everything out, we'll we'll let you do that. Okay. >> But what is a hug? >> All right. >> Someone said there was someone stealing at Walmart matching what she looks like. Okay. >> But she doesn't have any her >> We don't know. We don't even know what happened yet. They just said that someone was stealing. So, we have to figure out asking her what did she steal. She's saying that she walked there with some merchandise, but she ain't walk out with nothing. So, what is she talking about? She sounds stupid. >> You're so good here. I can head over to Walmart and probably start a show. >> At this point, the officers returned to the reason they were there. And it seems she also had her own explanation to justify herself. Like I said, we're conducting an investigation that occurred at Walmart, right, for shoplifting. Okay. Unfortunately, you met the description 100%. >> Isn't shoplifting is when you out the store with the stuff >> without paying for it? >> You pass all points of sales and you pass all points of sale, which is all the registers, even the register by the little pretzel spot and pass the pharmacy and all that stuff. And they say they caught you on camera. All right. So camera is not edited. You can't edit uh any video within a few minutes. Yeah. Right. Just so you know. All right. Can you explain what happened? I want to hear your side of the story. >> Yeah. I was scanning the stuff and then the the lady was taking forever to come. >> When you say the lady, you talking about the customer service rep? >> Yes. Okay. >> So, I was just standing there and I got to go to work. So, I >> scan some of the stuff and then some of the stuff was left in the bag. >> Okay. Did somebody try to stop in you? >> Yeah. And she told me to go rescan my stuff. And I told her, "I can't go rescan cuz I have to go to work." So I left the cart there. >> So you left the cart over there with all your stuff. >> Yes. >> Okay. And then when you left, you obviously left in a particular way. Okay. And we saw it on camera as well. So they're saying that you left in reverse out of the store. >> I left it in reverse cuz she's trying to get my tag. >> Okay. >> What she did my tag for. I didn't take nothing out of the store. >> But you passed all points of sale. That's the main purpose. The woman had not realized that her actions were already an offense and she even completely denied her earlier resistance. >> Regardless of the fact when an officer stops to request for you to get out of the vehicle and we tell Hold on. >> Okay. >> Hold on. Hold on. And you start resisting and saying no. >> It's the way that you got me out of the vehicle. >> Yes. Because you you said no multiple times. >> No, I said when you not when you're not cooperating with officers and we give you unlawful order to stop because we're conducting an investigation, >> it's only resisting. And then when you got violent with the other officer and you saw you actually >> No, I didn't get violent. >> You got violent. You actually hit >> I did not I didn't hit nobody. That's a lie. That is a big lie. I did not hit no officer. >> No, I did not. Don't Don't do that. Don't do that. I did not hit nobody at all. I didn't put my hands on nobody. >> Let me see the camera cuz I didn't hit nobody. >> Ma'am, that's a lie. Come here. >> That's a big lie right there. >> My hands ain't going on nobody. He put his arm on his hand on my arm and dragged me out the car. And I say, "Why do I have to get out the car?" >> So why you don't why you not telling me the reason for me to get out the car and then you pull me out the car? >> Yeah. At the end of the day when we're conducting an investigation, you >> It doesn't go like that when when you open my door and say get out the car. You don't do that. >> Okay. So we told you to get out the car multiple times and you denied. The first time when he told me to get out the car, officer, >> I said, "Why do I have to get out the car?" Then he pulled me out the car. >> Okay. >> You don't do that. >> So, we were conducting investigation. That was the main reason we we were conducting. We gave you a lawful order. All right. For cuz we were conducting an investigation. That was the main purpose. >> The woman was charged with shoplifting, resisting an officer with violence and battery on a law enforcement officer. Actions driven by denial and resistance only make consequences worse. Taking responsibility early can prevent a situation from escalating beyond control. Worse, [music] she even believes she was skilled at manipulating others. >> Walk in and out and they scan as you walk out. >> In Minnesota, they do that there are so many stores in Minnesota. You walk out and they charge you. >> I've been to those. But you >> On November 11th, 2025, officers were dispatched to a retail store at the airport after receiving a report of a theft. At that moment, the store employee also provided some information about the incident. >> Hi, what's going on? >> I'm going back to my store, but she just walked out of the store. He's going to let her pay for it. But she literally stole that both of those bags from him while he was helping another customer. I was just coming in to work and he told me about it. So, I said, "I'll help you." Look, cuz he's going to lose his job. That's over $1,000 worth of bags. >> Okay. >> Now, she says she's going to pay for it cuz she thought she could just walk down. >> I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I need a company. I woke up. >> Thank you. >> I can show you on camera right now. >> Is like 700 something bucks and the backpack itself is like 450 something bucks. What she's trying to say that she thought this was one of like you know how like Amazon has stores where you can like grab stuff and walk out and then charges it to your account. She's saying it was like that, but like the video that she just got, you can tell she walks up, grabs it, she steps over here like looking and she's looking and then she walks and hides right there for a second and then she just walks out. >> The store manager confirmed that this was an intentional theft with no mistake involved. Shortly after, officers approached the female suspect who still had many excuses to justify her actions. >> There's places that you walk in and out and that's I thought it was scandal out. I wasn't trying to leave without it. I set on my gate. I'm not trying to do anything. I'm willing to pay for it. And I apologize to him. He said he could lose his job. And I'm I feel really bad. I really do. And I I did not switch tags. I have my my bag over there. I didn't do anything to Miss Sky. I I was just sitting on my gate. >> Yeah. Oh, >> I just came from work honestly and I'm going on a on a trip on Friday so I needed a bag. I saw it. It was busy and I thought it was like a thing that you can I mean most stores in in any other airport I travel a lot. You can walk in and out and they scan as you walk out. >> Okay. >> In Minnesota they doing it like all over and it's my bad. >> I didn't even look. I didn't even look. >> I need it for the weekend. That's when I'm like >> was trying to buy it. >> Give me just a second. Let him talk to her. >> The woman denied the act as described by the store, but several suspicious details in her behavior were questioned by the officers. >> Yeah, I'm not interested in the story. Where the tags at to >> So, I went to the bathroom. I used the bathroom and I need I needed this for the weekend. No, where the tags and I went back. >> Can you go get the tags? >> Yes. And they're not there. >> Okay. >> It's all about contact. >> Okay. All right. I did look. >> The possibility is that if she does purchase it, he >> he's fine with it. >> So, there is >> that that is an option. Sorry. >> But if you can't find the proper tags for that, >> then >> can they run the other ones that are like the same? I mean, there's like I look at it'll be up to him. It'll be up to him if he can do I don't I don't know if they can do that or not. >> Okay. Cuz there's other I mean I looked at the colors. I was trying I looked at the colors and I like burgundy and that's >> but I don't know what that does to their inventory. So if he brings up a black one, it might >> reduce their inventory by one. >> So you taking that one and and the tags not being with it anymore now, it is causing a problem with their inventory. >> So he's going to see what he can do to try to fix that. If not, then >> he's not going to >> So you went back to look at When did you go back to look at the tags? >> Just now. She let me go. >> Oh, >> just now. And I left my bed here. >> Wow. >> And I said there I I mean I went to the bathroom from here to the bathroom and then to the gate. actually went to the lounge and went to the gate. So, they cleaned out the bathroom. >> Thus, the woman disrupted the sale of the items she intended to take. Yet, she still believed it was a minor issue to the point that she thought she could simply leave. >> Can I tell my gate that I'm late or >> am I going to miss my flight? You think >> I just get I mean, normally that I mean, if it's a 210 >> Well, that 2 Yeah. I have time. I think I have a phone. >> I mean, just depends on Where's your gate at? Which gay? >> Right here. Like 10. >> She's out of state, so we can't give her a citation. >> I mean, I I swear. I promise. >> Oh, yeah. >> He said that's not even an airport price. He says they're normally that expensive, which >> Yeah, they are. They are. I mean, I'm buying it because I'm going on a trip with my family and it's my 50th birthday. >> Where's your family? They here >> in No, in Minnesota. I came for work. >> Okay. So, I I was buying it to go on a trip to Mexico in Minnesota. >> I can't bring it up. >> Okay. >> Can you Can you run another color? >> No. >> Right. It's going to It's going to mess up. >> I mean, I could have just not come back and took my bag and leave, but I'm not trying to do that. >> I just >> No, no, no. Like, when you let me go to the bathroom, I could have just leave. I'm not trying to do anything stupid. I promise. >> Okay. >> I came for work. >> On his end, he has to do something with his inventory that he >> without having the tags. >> Yeah. >> There's nothing you can do. >> Yeah. >> So, in that case, uh I have these that option. >> Can I just buy another? >> I mean, it's the same exact thing. >> So, what's the what is the difference? >> You're under arrest. >> Oh. >> All the options the woman proposed completely failed. And at that point, the officers informed her of the charges she could be facing. >> What is the >> You're under arrest. >> Oh, >> so I cannot just pay for it. I swear to God. >> You can't mess up his system. He doesn't have another wine um backpack back there. So you're there's no other choice. We can't eat a site because you're not from here and it's it's class A misdemeanor. So you're going to have to go to jail. >> Can I just buy a black one instead? >> He can't mess up his inventory. Like I said, I mean, >> can I call the company? I mean, can I >> I mean, is it not the same the same code? It's the same different numbers, different. >> So, do you have anybody on the line with Delta right now? >> Yeah, I'm I have somebody online. Can we look in the bathroom or maybe with the lady that clean the bathrooms? >> I mean, >> can I can I go do Can we go do that? There's going to be virtually impossible to track down which person cleaned out. >> There is like there is like right here. I promise. I swear. >> But you said you already looked. >> I I looked on the bathroom that I thought it was but there was other bathrooms that were closed. >> We looked really quick. >> I apologize. Like you already looked. You said that >> there was one bathroom that I Hello. It was clear that she was highly manipulative from trying to downplay her wrongdoing to pleading to pay in order to leave. But none of it could change the officer's decision. >> Black one, can we look in the bedroom one more time, please? >> Okay. Please take your satchel off and go and take your fanny pack off. I've still got your ID. Can >> Can we please look at the bathroom one more time? Maybe the lady is there. Garbage is there. Can I dig into it? You've already said you But I didn't move into the other garbage. Can I please take >> Please. Please. >> You're under arrest right now. >> You can leave this. >> Are you here with someone? >> No, I'm by myself. I came for work. >> Okay. >> I just came to drop off a dog for a sick woman. That's what I do. That's literally what I do. >> Can you Can you go to the bathroom with me, please? >> We definitely can't walk inside. >> What? See that again? We can't walk inside of a wooden bathroom. >> No, I will go in. >> We >> No, >> we can't. We can't do that. >> I did not mean to do that. I swear to God. >> This is horrible. >> We unfortunately if we had the tags, we might be able to go a different route. >> I wish I wouldn't take them out. I didn't want to walk around with >> I wish you didn't take I wish you didn't take the suitcase from the beginning. >> I know. I know. I should have asked. I He was busy. I >> No, you should have bought it. Instead of asking, you should have just bought it. I I swear that there are so many stores in Minnesota, you walk out and they charge you. >> I've been to those stores, but you also have to use your card to go inside the store. >> In the end, the woman was charged with theft. Her attempt to downplay the situation and manipulate the outcome only made things worse because once a line is crossed, no excuse can undo the consequences. Next, this woman completely lost touch with reality. >> HOLD ON. WATCH. HOLD ON. We'll get you water. Hold on. >> Okay. No. >> Okay. >> I love you all the [ __ ] morning. >> On the 19th of February 2026, police approached a woman after receiving a report that she had been causing a disturbance in a store. From the very first moments, she displayed signs of mental instability. >> Ma'am, what's Ma'am? What's going on? >> I don't know. >> I'm Officer West. What's going on? >> I'm going to jail. >> No, I don't know what's going on. I'm coming to ask you what's going on. >> I want a water. >> Okay. You want me to get you some water? >> Please. Thank you. >> Okay, hold on. Just just talk to me real quick. I'll get you some water. Okay. >> Yeah. >> Here. Uh my call my daughter go well. >> Okay. >> She get halfway back. >> Okay. >> For my phone one day. >> Do me a f Do me a favor. Just hold on a minute. I'll go get your water. Okay. >> OKAY. >> WHY ARE you Thank you so much. >> You You come You got to come with me. All right. What's your name? >> My name is Tanisha Smith. >> Tanisha Smith. It's Tanisha Smith. >> Do you? >> I'll walk with you. We'll walk. We'll walk together. >> So, what's what's their issue with you? Huh? >> I mean, they been they been trying to throw my chain >> here. I'll come with you. >> But I've been hiding it around me. >> Okay. >> They put up in the truck. They do something to me. >> Okay. >> I told THEM, "WHAT DO ME I I always try to help. I every time I go up, >> where you stay at? >> The woman was asked to step outside to avoid disturbing those around her. However, she had no intention of staying put, forcing police to take action to prevent her from losing control. HOLD ON. WATCH. Hold on. We'll get you. Hold on. Come here. Come here. Come. Come here. Come here. Come here. Come here. COME HERE. >> DAMN. WHY YOU RING ON ME? >> COME ON. WE'RE GOING TO GO OVER HERE. >> I KNOW. >> Hold on. Stop. I don't want to put you in. >> I don't want to put you in handcuffs yet. Come on. We'll get you water. We just want you to sit. Open up. Come on, buddy. Come up. >> It's okay. Come on. I'll open you up. >> We'll get you some water. Come on. Just have a seat. >> Huh? What's up? >> What do you need? >> Water. >> Okay. Can you take >> Yeah, we'll get you water. Just have a seat for us. >> Yes. >> I'm going to go get you some water. Okay. In your bag, too, right? >> Yeah. >> You don't want it? >> No. >> You just want some water? No, I do want >> I'll go get you. Okay. >> She She never >> If observed, she was chewing while speaking, indicating that she had consumed store items before paying. This was also confirmed by store employees. >> Uh opening packages of food, >> just just acting irrationally. >> Okay. some some up the stairs. >> Okay. Well, I mean, definitely consistent with drug use or mental health issues. So, >> but she never she never stole anything from the store. Well, other than Are you guys looking to press charges or you just want her out of here and want to get get some help? >> Get some help. Yeah. >> Okay. >> All right. Well, as far as I'm concerned, this is consistent with a drug use or a mental health episode. So, >> yeah. So, y'all have a great day. >> Thank you, sir. Nice to see you. >> Good citizen. >> All right. Well, let me go gather her property. Um, you want to try to work on a uh social or something. Tanisha, I think >> it was evident that even while confined in the patrol car, she did not stop screaming. Police also made several assessments regarding her condition afterward. >> How's she doing? Yeah, I bet if you rattled her up, we're putting her in yours. >> No, no, no. >> Okay. She being fine. >> Yeah. She just want to listen to music. >> Okay. >> Just to be advising, she's not spitting cuz she's pissed. She's spitting cuz her mouth. >> Okay. >> So, she's probably, >> huh? >> Her mouth's driving. She's probably on something. >> Yeah. So, we're going to go down to the hospital. I'm going to ask her if she's willing to go and if she's not, we're going to cuff her. >> Did she take anything? >> I'm going to ask her. >> Ready? Come on. >> Hey, Miss Smith. Miss Smith. Miss Smith. I'm going to get you some water, but here's where we're going to do it. OKAY, I >> DON'T GIVE A [ __ ] >> Miss Smith, stop kicking. Okay, >> get your ass away from me. I ain't scared of you, [ __ ] >> Okay, >> give me some water. >> Okay, I GOT YOU. >> WHERE'S MY [ __ ] water? They want to hang on me. >> Okay, the same ain't sight. Okay, we're going to get you your water. >> I don't give a [ __ ] >> What kind What kind do you want? >> I ate a I had a cupcake and I drunk strawberry juice. >> Okay. >> Strawberry juice with >> strawberry milkshake. Oo. >> Okay. Do you want some more of that or you want water? >> I want a clear water. >> Okay. Dani or D. >> Are you going to put it in my mouth? >> Yes, ma'am. >> If you choke me, I'm step out of here. >> I would never do I would never do something. >> YOU THINK I'M A MAN? >> NO, MA'AM. You seem tough to me. Let's take a seat. Okay. I'M NOT TOUGH. I WANT TO BE A PRINCESS. I want >> I got you, Miss Smith. Did you take anything today? >> I took [ __ ] >> Okay, that's fine. >> My friend DOING WAY MY FEET. My stash. I be her. Wait. When I say okay, then you go. >> Okay. I love you all. I want to [ __ ] morning water in a [ __ ] >> I got you. Okay. >> While escorting her, police asked whether she had used any substances. Let's hear her response. >> When's the last time you used crack cocaine? >> I don't know about crack cocaine. Boy, you got to shut up. >> No. >> Should I don't do that? >> I I listen I don't judge. We're going to get you as much water as you need. Okay. We'll get you a gallon. See, I'm out, too. I got I'm fresh out. >> I need more. How are you? When you [ __ ] water for, >> huh? I got to stay hydrated. >> I'm going to jail. Okay, whatever. >> You're not going to jail. >> I'm tired. >> I want some water. Stop at the damn store. >> What you want to listen to? >> I listen to them, [ __ ] Give me a nice water. >> Let's go get you a cheese pizza and some water. >> I got you. Got to stay cool with me though, right? Come on. Let's go get some pizza. >> Come on. >> I got you. I got you. We're going to get in there first. Okay. >> Get in. >> Yeah. Right in here. Okay. >> It was clear that she lacked the mental capacity to recognize her actions as wrong or even to distinguish reality from her imagination. She even began believing she was being taken to get actual pizza. So, I get on >> I can I can get your food order in. cheese pizza. >> I want a room. >> Yeah, why not? >> Give me a room. >> I got you. >> Hey, I'm sleepy as well. >> We're going to we're going to wheel you on over to the room. Okay. >> There you go. >> Why am I SO TIRED? WHY ARE MY HANDCUFFS OFF? >> WE'RE GET once once we get back to the room, we'll get them off. >> No. [ __ ] that. Take off now. You do the I told you yours. I should HAVE PAID THE [ __ ] YESTERDAY. [ __ ] GET YOUR ASS OFF. OH, YOU WANT TO BE HARD cuz I think they don't want me to be on the royal rubble. Sit down. >> Oh, but we AGGRESSIVE ON A WOMAN. Y'ALL [ __ ] ass [ __ ] WHERE THE REAL [ __ ] at? >> I don't want to. >> Everybody go FOR WHOEVER, [ __ ] >> My soul crack whatever. The woman was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Petty theft could apply if the store chose to press charges. This woman's actions show that ignoring rules and resisting help can escalate consequences, highlighting the importance of seeking support rather than acting out. Next, change the mood with this woman who blamed her race instead of her own laziness. >> Morning. All I want to DO IS GET ABOUT MY DAY. AND NOW I'M BEHIND with some damn handcuffs. Black. I come to the bank with ID. I hand her my ID. Ask for >> On June 14th, 2025, police were dispatched to a bank after reports of a woman causing a disturbance when she couldn't withdraw money. Here's what unfolded once they arrived at the scene. >> Damn money. >> Hey. Hey, calm down. Let's go now. >> We're trying to get money out. >> All I want is $5,000. IT'S 2025. I CAN'T EVEN GET $5,000 MY ACCOUNT. YOU ARE SO BAD NOW. >> CALM DOWN WITH ME. I don't give a damn about you. >> Okay. All right. LISTEN. >> I DON'T WANT MY MONEY. GOD DAMN. >> OKAY. WHO ARE YOU, SIR? >> Her wife. Her husband. >> Watch out of the way. Watch out of the way. Watch. MOVE OUT OF MY WAY. >> It was clear that in less than a minute, the woman had already made the situation extremely difficult. And to manage matters efficiently, the police decided to take action to prevent her from escalating the situation further. >> We're going TO STEP OVER HERE. >> WE'RE GOING TO STEP OVER HERE. We're going to go on cuffs right now until you calm down. Okay. Please, >> sir. Move out of the way. >> Babe, babe, just calm down. >> We're going to cuss right now. Just calm Adam. >> Adam. >> We're going in custody. Just >> calm Adam Lincoln. >> Give me the ID. She's >> not under. >> Oh, yes, sir. >> We're just trying to get our money. >> She's calm down. >> She's got all >> Get a picture, please. >> She's got all I love. >> She's got all her. >> Come on. Let's step over here. I'm going to move FOR >> Are you serious? >> A Saturday morning. >> ALL I WANT IS $5,000 OUT OF MY ACCOUNT. CASH [screaming] MONEY. >> WHY? WHY ARE YOU doing this? >> Let's go. >> This is crap. >> She's detained right now. I'm going to sit her in the back of the car to calm down. She's just screaming. >> Let's go. >> Are you serious? >> Let's go. I'm not doing this. >> I ain't either. >> Walk. >> You walk. >> Why are you dancing? >> You're sitting in the back. You're sitting in the back. >> Get my mom in the back. >> You have anything on you? 31. Can you search me for I said >> no. >> It was evident that the yelling had stopped, but the situation did not improve because even in silence, the woman's actions remained completely uncooperative. Go ahead and sit. Go ahead and sit. I'm not doing this. Sit down. Sit. Do you want another charge? >> You can charge me whatever you want to. >> Sit in the car. >> At this point, you can charge me whatever you want. >> Listen, the choice IS BLACK. >> BLACK TRYING to bank. >> Sit down. >> Black trying to bank. That's what I am. >> Sit is nothing. Sit down. >> Black trying to bank. >> Sit. I'm going to give you >> black. I'm going to give you one more CHANCE HERE TO >> BANK. CHASE. >> I'm going to give you one more chance. All right. Sit. Get in the damn car. >> Jesus. >> 13 ws. We have one detained at this point. >> Are you serious? >> Back inside the bank, the woman's husband did nothing to ease the situation. Even without losing control himself, he still added tension to the scene. I love you. >> What's going on here? >> I have no idea. I'm trying to find out what's wrong with my wife. >> Hey, stop walking away from me. I'm trying to talk to you. I'm >> trying to find out what's going on with my wife. >> Well, I'm trying to Hold on. [screaming] Hey, >> stop moving. >> Stop moving. I'm trying to talk to you. What happened inside? >> I don't know. I walked in. I was I was sitting in the car. >> I'm waiting. Waiting. I know she went in to get money. >> Okay. >> Okay. She left her phone with all her accounts and stuff information on it, but she gets questioned for all these IDs. >> Okay. >> Okay. We got the money in the account. I'm sitting here wondering why we can't get it. She I >> She's talking to you, not me. Talk to her. >> Okay. But I walked in. I walked in. See what's taking so long. >> Mhm. >> She's standing there. She's saying she can't get her money. She gave her the two IDs that she wanted. >> Okay. >> But she didn't have her pin them cuz her phone's in the car. >> Okay. And now I'm walking and like, "What's going on?" She said, "They won't give me my money." >> Okay. Yeah. They called us saying that she was Hold on. Let me let me >> I got it. I I'm I'm sure she's hot. >> Okay. >> We've never had issue with nothing like this. >> They I think, you know, we're worried that >> I get it. I know in this day and age, we have to deal with it. >> I've been black all my life and I have to have to deal with it. But I mean, >> we're trying to get money honestly out of our own account. Both blamed their race for not getting the money, but the bank required more than an ID. They refused to get the phone, skipping a necessary step, as staff would explain. >> So, what happened? >> So, she wanted to take out 5,000. She had her debit card and her credit card. So, our system kind of has some like security measures in place when it's a large amount. And I asked for either the debit card with PIN, which she said she didn't have. >> Or her phone number to send a passcode >> and she didn't. She said she didn't have it. She wasn't going to go get it. >> Okay. >> So, the system places. >> Did she have her ID with her? >> She had her ID. She had her credit card. >> Okay. >> So, she gave you ID and a credit card, but your system has secondary measures because of the large amount. >> Yes. With fraud being really bad. >> So, why did she want us called? What did she say? wants you to make me give you my super money. >> I see. >> So, was that all the money in their account? That's what we were told. >> They had more than >> Okay. Okay. >> All right. All right. Thanks. >> In the car with his debit card. That would have been the whole thing. >> Yeah. But she was being difficult about it. So, okay. All right. We'll be back in. Thanks. >> It was a simple matter, but they made it unnecessarily difficult. Outside, the husband still felt discriminated against, though. The bank was simply trying to protect them. >> I understand what you do. Sheriff and I got a uncle. >> Where's the sheriff at? Yeah. Listen, I would have just talked to you guys just like this. I'm telling you, she's hot. >> I get it. >> She's upset. >> Yeah, I get it, man. You're a little bit hot, too, man. Just >> I am because my wife, >> we've been together 40ome years. >> I know, man. You guys aren't going to break up after this, right? >> That ain't the point. It's just she's been for >> because she was losing money. GET HER MONEY >> CUZ SHE WAS SCREAMING, MAN. She was I would have just talked to her just like this if she wasn't losing her mind all in my face. Right. I'm not trying to fight nobody today. I came to work just like you go to work every day, man. I'm not trying to fight nobody for no reason. >> That's disorderly. >> Yes. That was 100% disorderly. Yes. >> That was what was? Yes. Screaming. So nuisance in public is disorderly. Yes. >> For yelling. >> Yes. >> I'm just telling >> 8:45. She's in the car. You want to check on her? Make sure she's good. >> She is hot, man. Dang. >> What's going on? I I'm JUST KIDDING. WITH $5,000 OUT OF MY ACCOUNT. >> THERE IS NO >> AND THEY MADE A BIG DEAL OUT OF IT. COME ON, BLACK. >> ADDITIONALLY, THE POLICE TRIED to explain to the man why the withdrawal couldn't be completed, but he still refused to accept it. >> Um, she had her debit card and her ID on her, but I guess they have secondary measures with a large amount like that that a code has to be sent to the phone. She didn't have it on her and she wasn't going to go get it >> cuz she got IDs, >> right? So, I'm just explaining how it got to where we're at. >> All right. She's worked in the bank. Yeah. >> Okay. For years. >> Yeah. >> She just can't believe today we still got to go. >> It's cuz it was $5,000. >> I get it. But she just can't believe it. She That's what this >> I don't know how long she's been out of work, but that's their measures that they have. >> I get it. But yeah, >> she still >> Let me talk to him real quick. Okay. >> Can you just calm her down? >> 45. You want to stay with him? Yeah. >> Listen. >> What's your damn name? >> Amber. >> Amber. Listen, >> why don't you have the parade? Oh, you got to man everything, right? >> What parade? >> Your leader parade. >> I don't have a leader parade. >> Oh, you got plenty of leaders. >> Step on up. >> Turn around. >> $5,000. >> Turn around. >> $5,000. >> Was a police officer for a while. >> I'M BEHIND. I'M I'M LOCKED UP. MONEY. YOU'RE under arrest at this point. >> I don't give a damn. >> You're under arrest >> at this point. I really don't give a damn. >> STOP RESISTING, >> STELLA. PLEASE. >> Despite numerous attempts to intervene, the woman was ultimately charged for her actions and there was nothing she could do now except remain angry. >> Get in. >> Don't understand. >> Get in the car. >> I don't understand it. >> You're going to get another charge. >> Break my legs. >> I don't want to break your legs. >> Break. Just Just me. Give me Give me Take me out of my No. Take me out of mying misery. >> Why are you THIS IS SO STUPID. WHY ARE YOU BEHAVING? >> ARE YOU [screaming] SERIOUS? >> WHY ARE YOU BEHAVING LIKE A CHILD? >> A SATURDAY MORNING, all I wanted to DO IS GET ABOUT MY DAY AND NOW I'M BEHIND WITH some damn handcuffs for wanting $5,000 out of a bank account. >> Do you THINK YOU WOULD ACCEPT? >> ARE YOU SERIOUS? >> You think you WOULD ACCEPT THIS BEHAVIOR? >> ARE YOU SERIOUS? >> Do you think you would accept? >> I WAS A HEAD TELLER. >> I GAVE HER ALL THE IDS she requested. >> IT IS 2025. I [screaming] AM BLACK. CAN'T HAVE A DAMN piece of money. Ain't allowed to withdraw it. >> Are you serious? >> You let me TALK TO YOU. >> I'M I'M NOT MAKING SENSE. Are you No. No. Honestly, I'm not making sense. >> I didn't say that. >> I'm black. I come to the bank. What ID? I hand her my ID. Asked for $5,000 out of my account. >> Okay. >> She asked for additional piece of it. Uh >> I gave it to her. >> She says she that you didn't give. You would need it. I GAVE HER MY CHASE CREDIT CARD. >> ARE YOU GOING TO LET ME TALK? I'm trying to tell you. >> You just told me. She said I didn't give it to you to her. >> The woman was charged with obstructing official business and disorderly conduct. Even in a routine situation, refusing to cooperate can escalate quickly and draw legal consequences. Staying calm and following procedures is crucial as resistance only prolongs conflict and can lead to charges. Next, looking at these men and their scams that go back to the 1980s. >> It's a felony today. It's called organizing scheme to the fraud. >> The vehicle survived this car though. [music] >> On December 29th, 2022, the police received a report from a local Costco about an ongoing scam. The suspects were two men selling fake speakers in the parking lot, and one of them was attempting to flee, but was quickly stopped. Here's what happened after the police approached the suspect. >> Turn off the car. Step up. Turn around. Listen. Stand right there. Sit right there. Just sit. >> Don't cooperate. >> Sit. Okay, then cooperate. Sit. >> Sit down right here. >> Yeah. Sit right there on the ground. >> Yeah. Sit right here. >> Let's walk over to the back of your car. Go. Walk. Walk. >> Did I do anything wrong? >> Listen, bro. If I got to tell you again, no problem. Okay. Just hang out right here. Do you have a license on me? Uh, no, I don't. 48. >> I'm 48. I'm out with the two males right in front of Costco. It's 1050. >> Is there a Is there an issue here? Like what's an issue? >> What happened? You can't do that here. >> Can't sell sell stuff. >> Yeah. Yeah. Especially stuff like this. >> My boss told me that I could. So, >> yeah. No, he didn't, bro. Listen. >> No, he really did. >> I've done this a long time. I've stopped this car four times. >> This car? >> The same exact car four times? The black guy? The black guy? >> Yeah. I arrested him last week. in the same car. >> He's he's actually uh he's been talking to us. He said he's Yeah, he's um Why Why did you arrest him, though? >> Cuz he had drugs on him. >> Oh, well. >> Yeah. I just do this work. I don't I don't carry drugs like that. I mean, I might have a little marijuana, but but I got a license for it, so there's nothing. >> Doesn't matter. You can't drive and smoke. >> You're driving. Okay, you're right. >> It became clear that the vehicle itself was connected to multiple incidents. At this point, the officers openly shared their suspicions with them. Seriously, it's >> illegal to do that. It's a felony to do that. It's called organized scheme to defraud tow the vehicle. >> How am I going to get home? Cuz we're from Broward, >> huh? >> Yeah, I know. For sunrise. >> Yeah, you know where we're at, huh? >> Damn. See, you really have pulled me pulled my boy over. >> He's actually our manager. >> I told him clearly not over here. No. I told the boss they didn't I didn't hear anything about it. But uh whatever it is, I'm cooperative. You know, just please don't tow the vehicle, man. I got to get back I got to get back to the warehouse. Anything you'll do, I'll cooperate, dude. >> You guys all talk exactly the same. >> Really? >> Yeah. >> Well, we uh >> that like that trying to that savvy like I'm a salesman type of >> I don't want to I don't want to come off savvy. I'm sorry. >> That's what you're trying to do. >> Well, how about this? I'll just come off as a regular civilian. Uh it's just we just we talk to people all day. So it's like kind of like what we do. We just talk to people all day and uh give them really good deals. >> No, really good deals. Nothing, bro. Stop it, bro. I know what the I know with the scam, bro. They're full of concrete. We're talking about really good deals. >> Stop. Stop. Stop. I want to hear that. I want to hear that. >> The man did not deny anything the officer said. Shortly after, he even spoke about the illicit work he was doing, showing not a shred of remorse. brought scams, >> huh? >> Brought scams. >> Well, you know what's crazy? When I started this job, I really didn't know that it was like that until like four or five weeks later. >> Then I found out, >> no, seriously, I'm not lying to you. >> You thought that it was legitimately selling speakers out of out of >> Until somebody SUV is >> until somebody text >> until somebody texted me back and told me that >> driving through parking lots trying to sell people with speakers is a legitimate business. Is that what you're saying? No >> believes that. No one. >> Honestly, I apologize. >> I don't believe that. Where'd you go to school, bro? >> Uh, I'm from North Carolina. >> Okay. >> So, I went to Bvard North uh Bvard High School of North. >> Yeah. >> Man, I'm really embarrassed. Everybody's looking at me. Embarrassed, bro. You're scamming people. Should be embarrassing. Could I contact my boss? At least tell him that I'm getting >> No, no, no, no. That's what we did the last time. I talked to him over the phone and I told him, "Don't come back up to Palm Beach Gardens. Don't send your people up to Palm Beach Gardens. It's going to be the same result every time." All right. Jail. Jail. >> It's a felony. Bro, do you not understand the first time I said it? >> Sir, >> there's a there's a statute in Florida. It's called organized scheme to defraud, right? That means when you set up a scheme to take money under fraudulent pretense, >> right? And selling speakers out of a van that are that are fake speakers that are made out of full of concrete falls right under that category of fraudulent pretense. >> The man's scheme was gradually exposed by the officers and under their pressure, he began to plead. >> I'm not, bro. After this, I'm never going back here. >> You know, I'm never coming back here. I I'll stay out of your city. I promise. >> Hey, that the last guy the last guy, he's he's in jail. How is he supposed to let us know about it? >> I talked to the boss over the phone. >> That's what I'm saying. The >> I talked to the boss over the phone and I told him, "Boss, >> every time they come up here, he going to go to jail." Every time he go to jail. >> I don't have drugs. >> I arrested that guy twice. I don't >> You got no drugs in there? >> Hell no, I don't. >> You got no other drugs in there besides that. We >> Bro, I don't do drugs like that. Look, don't I look like a stoner? That don't mean nothing, bro. >> Well, I don't do drugs like that. >> Everybody knows people people don't sell they do pills, bro. >> I don't do drugs like that. Okay. >> A striking detail is that the man had a legal license to sell cannabis. Yet, he did not have a driver's license and was found to still be serving a sentence from a prior offense. Something the officers also pointed out. >> Probation driving, you have a license. BLP. >> What? >> Violation. He said >> probation >> because of why? >> Driving with no license. >> Wasn't he driving? >> Oh, you drive. >> Violation of probation. >> So that means that I got to go sit in jail now. What do I do again? It's my first day. This happened the last time. Dude's first day and y'all showing them the wrong way. You just had to find a ride. >> I live in high Leo, man. >> You high Leo? >> Yeah, y'all can't take me. >> Absolutely. We definitely not doing that. >> We're too far away for Yeah, we we too far away for that. Hopefully, I'll get bonded out. Wait, if it's VOP, I probably can't get bonded out, right? See if you can actually make that. >> Shortly after, the products involved in his scam were confiscated. I'm supposed to ride this bike, though. What? What's your question? You don't know where to take the car? >> No. No. Like, can you get the number, the box number from his phone so I can call him and get me a Uber or something? >> I'm going to let you drive his car. >> What's that? >> I mean, isn't it illegal? >> You have a license? >> I have a license, but I'm saying like, isn't this car like? >> I'm going back to the place, bro. >> Straight though. Why don't you go back to the place? It's >> straight. No, but you believe me. This is my first day, right? >> I believe you. I believe you cuz the last couple times there's always like one guy who's brand new. That's how they do. They got one guy who's experienced and the other guy trains the other guy. But don't do this type of [ __ ] cuz you get so caught up. >> No, they called me yesterday random. >> But it ain't worth it, bro. >> But you you know better than that, dog. >> You know better than that, bro. >> I'm going be real honest, man. I really believed it. >> Come on, man. So these both his phones? >> That's my baby, though. >> I'm not taking that stress. Here's your key. Let me make sure he don't got nothing else. >> In the end, only the man wearing the hat was temporarily arrested due to his probation violation, and both were charged with organized fraud. Trying to exploit others through scams carries serious consequences. Even if someone believes they are clever or protected, authorities will uncover the deception, and prior legal issues can worsen the outcome. Next, let's come to a man who saw himself as the victim. >> Sit down. I am not doing that >> cuz I'm a great I don't get in tr I ain't f to fight you so I just ask you from my heart cuz I already know what jail been like bro I don't want to go through this on October 17th 2023 officers approached a man because he was a suspect involved in a shoplifting incident at Walmart and not only that it escalated into an altercation when approached he also told his side of the story about the confrontation >> but it's okay I let it go when I did I was going to do it cuz you know I had to build But I didn't do it. So I let it go. He when he did the only reason I did cuz he spit on me. >> Okay. >> So I said, "Sir, I didn't walk out the store with it though. So it's okay." So at the end of the day with my choice, but I'm glad I didn't do it though. >> I'm okay. So I You know what I'm saying? >> Okay. No, you just call Anthony. >> Okay. >> But when he spit on me, that would messed it up. And I'm not barbing, but he just they bar me for, you know, cuz I didn't. But I didn't I ain't got nothing on me. you know, do nothing. >> All right, let's walk back to the uh to loss prevention. Okay, >> at the end of the day, I just felt like I was going to do it, but I didn't do it. So, >> all right. >> And I don't want to be at work. I'm over that. That road he spit on me like that. So, he did lock up though because you cannot you don't do that, bro. At the end of the day, it my choice, but I didn't I didn't take anything. I didn't walk out the store with it. I could have when he stopped me. So, I followed him and put the bag down. Just a little t-shirt and panty for my little daughter cuz I can't be in the 40 right now. So they just said they can get barman from life here. So that's what I could do. I never come back to Walmart. It ain't no problem. I never get I mean at the end of the day that's you don't spend. But I told him I try to shake your hand. >> The man also claimed that he was the victim in the incident. Right after escorting him back to the loss prevention office. The officers reviewed the surveillance footage to clearly determine what actually happened. >> My heart dead. Y'all going to go ahead. But I ain't got no warrant, no probation, no nothing. Sir, I can I've been telling some people have emergency lifetime, sir. That will Excuse me for now. See, there you go. Right there. That one I sworn when he spit in my face right there cuz I told him, "Bro, but I want to go." I took a better angle. >> They made me upset when you spit on somebody. Bro, I ain't going to go out y'all. You say, "Sir, put the bad back down." I say, "Okay, no problem." He needs to mother commitment. We had altercation time. >> Can I call my family just in case whatever? Cuz I know I ain't walk out that story and I need a lawyer or whatever because y'all followed y'all rule, but that man spit on me. I want to see it myself, too. So, I don't want make no make that up. I need no violent person, angry type of person to get mad, but that man spit on me. How you doing? Do you have one coming down from the pharmacy? >> No. Okay. Just relax. I think >> he put the stuff in the backpack. >> It was clear that the theft did occur and the man also admitted it. But it seemed that he did not see it as wrongdoing. >> Concealment. So, but you know, at the end of the day, I thought about it when he said foot. >> No, what I'm saying is the concealment, you've already committed the crime. It's done. Like, you've the concealment. I mean, I could have walked you could walk out the store. >> No, it has nothing to do with walk out the store. You put it in the bag, sir. Here you go. >> Just sit down. We're still looking at it, man. Just relax. >> No, cuz I'm ready to go to jail. Get it over with. I don't have >> I don't even know if you're going to jail or not. You might get a ticket. Okay. >> That's amazing. >> Just stop talking. Just relax. >> I feel bad about doing I don't be like want to do them when my baby girls and stuff. >> Well, they saw you do it. >> I know. >> They picked up the stuff. They saw you do it. No, they got they they make my baby girls when I seen that stuff. I told them >> cheeks >> stay away from this store. Every time I come here, even I do shop, they still be on all this stuff at the end. But I want they to stuff right there. But we trying to get to this pit part. Why try to shake your hand? I apologize, bro. Then he was calling me all kind of names and stuff, right? Cuz then when he spit on me when I swung cuz I like, "Bro, you cannot spit on nobody like that." Bro, can you pull it closer? >> It's going to get grainier. Anyway, >> see what my hands were when I spit when you >> During the investigation, the man kept narrating over the surveillance footage as if he was trying to prove his statement. And afterward, to ensure fairness, the officers gathered statements from other witnesses. Did you see what happened? >> I heard the screaming. I was with a customer over Health and Beauty. >> Okay. >> I came running around and they were yelling at each other and then they finally locked on. >> Okay. >> So, I broke it up and I escorted the guy out the door. >> Okay. Did you see James spit on the guy? >> No. >> Okay. >> He The guy kept telling me he spit on my face. He spit on my face. >> Uhhuh. >> I don't know. I didn't see that. >> Okay. >> Okay, babe. You don't have to come. Yes, sir. Did you see the altercation? >> Okay. >> Well, you're my cousin. >> Okay. >> I got to talk. I got to talk. When you just stand at the door cuz he talking about look when I walked in the store. I said, "Anthony, I then officer at me said, "Was you with him?" I said, "No." And he Anthony said, "Yeah, no. Hell, I went I just came bought my baby." >> All I know is >> they were they were they were having a ar they were arguing and I looked over and next thing I know, I heard Anthony say that Jamie spit on him. Did I see Jamie spit on him? No, I don't know if he did or not. All I know is they was tussling and then he came over there to help them stop them from tussling and then Anthony left the store. >> I love you honey. >> And then Anthony came next know y'all came to lock them up. >> I don't know why. I just know they said he had sto bag and then when they open the book bag up had some drop under clothes or something. >> Yeah, we got the we got all the stuff that was >> Do I know if he spit on him or not? I ain't going to tell no lie. I don't know. >> Okay. All right. >> But that's what I seen. >> After everything, the officers had decided what actions they would take next. >> I have the shop looking. >> Yeah. Yeah, that's why I asked. Yeah. >> I just going to walk out and Can I smoke my pig? Smoke my last cig. Cuz I'm going to be in there for I don't have bomb money. >> No. Turn. >> Well, y'all going to have to fight me, man. >> No. No, you're not. >> I just sit down. I am not doing that. >> Cuz I'm a great I don't get I ain't to fight you. Soldi you from my heart cuz I already know what jail been like, bro. I don't want to go through that. >> I'm not playing games tonight. I am not playing games with you. >> I don't give a man. Don't do that. Don't have to hurt me, man. I >> You just said I have to fight you. >> No, because I just wanted to slow my last secret. I already know I don't have a bomber and nothing to get out. You don't got to grab me cuz that man >> man on me. >> No, it's mad. >> Let's go. >> So, what I'm being charged with too, let me know. >> Simple battery and shoplifting. >> That man that [laughter] man spit ON ME THOUGH, MAN. THAT MAN spit on me, bro. He trying, bro. Ain't no ant, bro. Come on. That mother spit on. He charging >> car. Just let me get on. You can >> It ain't right though. >> Okay. Yeah, mine's up there. >> Okay. >> Stop, Anthony. >> Man. >> Hey, bro. Stop, >> man. I see it, bro. Stop. >> This some crazy [ __ ] low, man. You think you pay? I asked you for more. You ain't got >> The man was charged with theft by shoplifting, simple battery, and obstruction of an officer. Even if circumstances feel difficult, using them to justify wrongdoing only leads to worse consequences, especially when denial and emotional reactions make the situation spiral further out of control. Next, this foolish shoplifter stole alongside her friend who helped get her caught. >> Oh, it's stupid is what I did. It was really stupid. >> I'm not sure what that is yet, but >> where's all of >> uh Kimberly stuff? You have some of it. >> This is like I said, this is the old [clears throat] >> On the 13th of January 2025, police were dispatched to a Walmart parking lot after receiving a report of suspected theft involving a woman. When officers approached her, the woman appeared to display a conspicuously suspicious sense of panic. You want to step out for me? >> Uh, for what? >> Uh, you're being accused of retail theft. So, I I need you to talk to asset protection. >> Sure. I need you to talk to asset protection just to get this cleared up. >> I'm sorry. >> I need you to talk to asset protection to get this cleared up. >> But they followed you out of the building. >> Well, they followed me out. >> Yeah. >> Nobody followed me out. >> Okay. They're not allowed to leave the sidewalk area. So, they're not allowed to leave the sidewalk area, so they just followed you. >> Nobody followed me. My boyfriend walked up to me to come get me. >> Sure. They didn't they didn't walk you out? >> I have a friend that was with me. >> Okay. >> She's not in here. >> Where's she at? >> I don't know. >> All right. So, that be the reason why you guys circle back around. >> Huh? >> Cuz you were at the AT&T store. >> AT&T store? >> Huh? And then you came back to here >> to go get Yeah, cuz my boyfriend >> So, where is she at? >> I don't know. My boyfriend and her boyfriend were over there playing slots. >> I came over here so that she didn't have to walk or anything. And I had some things I had to get, towels and things like that. I got my receipt. >> All right. >> I can get it out of the bag if >> Well, you your clothes don't match the description, so that makes sense that you had a friend in here. What was her name? >> Kimberly Green. >> Kimberly Green. Thus, it was clear that no described suspect appeared at the scene. And with the cooperation of the suspect's friends, the police made their decision. >> You guys are free to go if you want to figure out what's going to happen with her and if you want to wait or since she caused you a bunch of grief, if you just want to leave her here. But I would appreciate if you took her home with you because I don't need her here in Lichfield. >> Okay. >> If I can find her. >> All right. So, we have her detained right now. Yes. So, more than likely we're going to run to the police department. Depending on how much she's taken, I'm probably just going to write her a citation and then let her go. But I have to go figure out with asset protection. Okay. So, if you guys want to sit tight, I'll be right back with you. Okay. No, but we were going to go we were going to go to Los. >> Okay. Well, that's where they're at. >> Oh, >> so if you want to if you want to hang out there, that's fine, but I need a way to get a hold of you if >> I have my phone. I gave you my phone number, so we'll be there. >> All right. >> I want to >> All right. I'll be back with you. Okay. >> At this point, the police had identified the location of the suspect at a gambling venue, and her appearance there seemed to take her by surprise. >> Black hair. Hey, Kimberly. Hi there. >> Excuse me. >> Sorry. >> What's your name? >> Huh? >> What's your name? >> Boy, what's going on? >> Kimberly. >> No. >> Go ahead and step up. >> Why wasn't the matter? >> You can grab yourself. >> Yeah. Do you need a cash out or something? Don't go anywhere. >> I'm not I'm sitting right here. I'm just getting a cigarette. >> What's your name? >> My name is Kim. >> Yes. Okay. So, that that wasn't hard, was it? >> No, it wasn't. Sure. I just didn't I just didn't know what was going on. >> Okay. So, why do you think we need to talk to you? >> I have no idea. >> Just at Walmart? >> Uh, yeah. >> What happened at Walmart? >> Well, I was in there and I was buying some stuff and then um that guy some guy came up to me and asked me said something about not paying for something or something, but I have money to pay in my purse. >> Gotcha. Can I see that? You can go ahead and set that soda down. Do you want to put that sweatshirt on? >> Yes, do so. >> Thank you. >> It seemed the woman had already guessed what had happened. Yet to her it was nothing serious and she appeared remarkably calm even while being detained. >> We'll get to that. >> Okay. >> Oh, it's stupid is what I did. It was really stupid. >> I'm not sure what that is yet, but at this point they want to see you over there. So, I'm going to take you behind you back here. >> McGomery 126. Horse gear 135 is a female detained war 125. >> So Kimberly, what's your last name? >> Green. >> And what's your middle? >> Um, that's somebody you just brought down here. >> Hello. Kimberly. >> Oh, sorry. What' you say? >> What's your middle initial? >> Kimberly B. >> B boy. >> Yes. >> Okay. >> Do you have an ID in there? >> Yes, sir. Got rid of that. Um, if you open my purse and my bag up, it should be right there in my wallet. >> Your birthday? Please go in. >> No, we're going to go this way. >> What did you think about her attitude of admitting guilt? It was truly astonishing that even after witnessing what the cameras had recorded, that attitude did not change. Picture >> is just going to be for Walmart. It's not going to go anywhere else. It's just gross and Walmart, right? Where are you heading around? Here we go. >> Where you from? Hang on. Recognize that name? >> Kind of. Sort of. >> Are you Cody? No, >> that's fine. That's not Yeah, he's my cousin. >> Megan. >> Not my cousin. >> Okay. We are going to be trespassing you today. So, that means you can't come to any Walmart across the country. Includes the Samantha, parking lots, and the gas stations. And if you're caught on or in any of those places, you can be sent to jail for criminal trespassing. Okay. >> I got a question. Okay. I just took I don't know if I took that wrong or you said you're making me trespassing or you're putting me to where I am trespassing if I come back. >> You're being trespassed. >> You're being banned today. >> So after you leave here, >> if you come back, you're criminally trespassing. >> Okay. I'm sorry. I didn't understand that. Sorry. yet. >> Even after everything was explained, she showed no sense of shame. Instead, she shifted the focus, raising new issues about the items she had already paid for. >> What do I do about like the remaining amounts of stuff that I did pay for? Like the balance that paid like $70 worth of stuff. >> That's if you have somebody that can come get it. >> Cuz like No, because she said there's that, but then there's no equal $70 worth of stuff right there. >> The tags that you used. Yeah, that >> we're not going to refund you for that. You use that to seal. >> Okay, that's that's what I was trying to figure out. I didn't know what was going on. >> If you use other tags and put them on other tags to scan them as somebody cheaper, we don't refund you for that cuz you're using it for the >> Okay. I I just want to apologize. I >> was terrible. >> Okay. And then that's my stuff that I bought from Dollar Tree. So why is that here? Well, because you put stuff into a gray tote. >> No, I know. >> The tote that the other lady gave me. >> Yeah, I that was sitting at the service desk. You can go ask the ladies. It was sitting there the whole time I went >> put bags into it from here >> and Yeah. And I took them out and gave them to you inside the cart before I grabbed it out. You can watch the cameras when we were over here in that other tank. I took the bags out and I stuck them in the cart and I just took what I got from the Dollar Tree with me out there. I promise you I'm not I'm not lying to you about it. >> We're going to check it just to make sure. >> Yeah. At the same time, police returned to the van outside to recover the items the woman had taken. It could be said that the inside of the vehicle was astonishing. >> Howdy. >> That's my purse. That's your >> So, what was in the tote that you had? >> My That's my tote. >> What was What was inside the tote? >> Right. What was in there? >> See inside the tote? Inside to >> inside the toe. Yes. >> The one the one that you scanned. Can I open this back door? >> Uh, no. A lot of stuff's going to fall out. My mom's stuff. >> Okay. >> Where'd you put the toe? >> Hey, can we put it in there? Yeah. >> Can Can we slide it? Can we open up the other door? >> Huh? >> Can I open the other door? >> Oh, yeah. >> All right. This door right here. I can't reach inside your car. I get is there's stolen stuff inside the tote. Like, don't waste my time, man. That's a yes. That's a yes. >> I'll go. >> Okay. Pressing charges on just just grab that out of there. >> And then Okay. So, where's all this stuff? Where's all of >> Kimber? Uh Kimberly stuff. >> This, like I said, this is the only >> We have a [clears throat] She put some stuff in the I know of. >> My purse has stayed in the van, so cuz I took the load out. >> I'll go in and pay for this. >> It's just some shirts. >> Go ahead. >> And it >> take the sod out. >> You guys need to come back for anything. >> The total value of the unpaid merchandise was finalized at approximately $80 below the felony threshold. Police decided to issue a citation without making an arrest. Kimberly was returned her identification, given a court date, and ordered to leave the area. The case concluded with a permanent ban, and a retail theft record entered into the system. A calm attitude and partial cooperation did not erase the evidence. Once actions were captured on camera, denial or indifference changed nothing. Every decision still carried legal consequences. Don't look away just yet because what comes next makes this theft far more shocking. >> Both of them were full. >> But they didn't even check out with anything, right? They didn't pay for anything. On the 21st of April, 2023, police were dispatched to a shopping store after receiving a report of a theft followed by a getaway. These were the details about the suspect that officers gathered upon arriving at the scene. >> One of the girls, she's hiding her face. There's another one dressed exactly like her. Fair enough. Kind of a black Kia SUV. >> Okay. You know what? They took >> clothing. Just came in and shoved it in the bags. >> Both of them beeped. >> Both bags. Both of them were full. >> But they didn't even check out with anything, right? They didn't pay for anything. >> No, they went straight for the door. >> At the same time, a team of officers promptly pursued the suspects. She's saying it's off. >> Okay, go ahead. >> All right. So, okay. Okay. So, um, okay. So, she can't roll down that window cuz we made her turn off to her car. >> Open it. >> Okay. Take your seat belt off. >> Okay. >> You want her to step out? Yeah. >> Okay. >> These women attempted to deny the accusations, but shortly afterward, one of them became involved in a conversation related to the incident. for Max. TJ Maxx. TJ Maxx for TJ Maxx. TJ Maxx. Okay. Max. Okay. Miranda warning. Okay. So, okay. Okay. So, okay. >> Shortly afterward, the police proceeded to search their vehicle and every piece of evidence from the stolen merchandise to the tools used to commit the crime was discovered inside. >> It's that's Burlington Coat for sure, 100%. >> Oh, you see, look. So there's some Look, this is what the Brashiers look. Yeah. So they took So Oh, all of these too. Yeah. So when we stopped them, I could see them fumbling around back here and they were just probably taking tags off of stuff. See, look, another tag. And they got this ripped off. >> You couldn't with this. >> Yep. These are all Burlington tags. >> That's the one right here. >> That look like kids clothes to you? >> No. >> No, that's not kids clothes. >> Does that look like it's going to fit either of them? >> Uh maybe the smaller one. There's one that's a little smaller than the other. You want me to run them on channel two? >> Yeah. Probably not going to get anything back though. >> Huh? >> Probably not going to get anything back. You can try. >> So just um >> Yeah, you can run them >> name by passport like >> just named it a birthday. So name >> and then birthday. >> Okay, >> I got all those clothes have tags. Oh wow. In fact, the stolen items ranged from low value goods to highpriced merchandise. And the deeper the officers searched, the more stunned they became by the sheer professionalism of these thieves. Hey, >> you know what that is? >> What's that? >> To remove tags off of >> That's what That's a to remove those F devices. >> Oh, yeah. This is usually this is mounted to the counter. You just stick it here. A >> and it just comes off. So they >> ain't use nothing to cook. >> Huh? >> It ain't use nothing. >> Nope. In 12:05 we'll have a second. Come on. She doesn't speak English. You need to switch. >> Those are your cups, right? >> Yeah, those are mine. The investigation concluded with the suspects being charged with theft related offenses, possession of stolen property, and use of a vehicle to facilitate the commission of a crime. No matter how skilled they believe they are, the truth eventually catches up and professionalism in crime only leads to a more serious downfall. Even the next woman was shocked to be confronted with her own criminal record. >> He had like four charges. possession of a I don't know how to say a a a proam something like that. >> Anyway, that's all the money. Is there any way we can get the game cash? >> On October 5th, police received a report from Walmart about a woman who committed fraud at the selfch checkckout by intentionally scanning cheaper items in place of other products. Inside the loss prevention office, officers reviewed the surveillance footage to determine the full extent of her actions. Everything on here was under ring except for um one pair of the pants and then the other pair she didn't pay for I guess because she >> one pair. >> So when you Yeah. at the registers so like you'll ring a couple things or one thing and then you don't ring a couple things or >> Can I say this? Three items I thought were scanned fully, but I didn't know that you could scan while we were waiting for an associate. >> Okay, just stay put. I'm like I guess I'm going to talk to you in a minute. Okay, you're staying home. >> Here's the thing. I'm just going to say this. I I went into a very bad depression. My fiance left me. >> You know what I'm saying? I got a little bit of hard time. Um, I'm a good girl. You know what I mean? I don't want to ever I don't want to go back. I don't I don't want to get in any more trouble. Oh, I'm here for my kids now. >> Okay. Well, we're going to figure something out. We still got to get the whole story. Like I said, just give us a minute and we'll talk to you. >> Have you ever been? >> Yes. >> Have you ever been convicted of anything? >> Never shoplifting, never stealing, never anything like that? Yes. But I have you. Do you have any feelers to appear? >> I missed court. Yes, I do. >> Because she had to >> Why is that bad? >> So, she was in selfch checkout. >> What for? But I miss >> the woman used her family as an excuse to justify her theft, then immediately admitted to using substances. What did you think about that excuse? >> Not going to lie, I smoked a lot of weed this morning and your face. >> I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I barely ever do. >> Sorry. >> I haven't. >> Marijuana is not a bad thing. My daughter takes the drop step. your best interest to stop talking. >> I'm sorry. >> Where's your daughter at? >> With your dad right now. >> Outside. >> Um, no. No. >> So, the thing with the panties is they are different prices because of the size, stuff like that. She right now this one twice. So, we gave her a refund on that one. >> So, I'll show you twice by accident. Scan that one. >> Yeah. >> Wow. They weren't the same name. I had >> Yeah, they you have to look at the price on that stuff cuz it's always They could always be different. Even if they look >> I'm sorry about that. I'm sorry. >> I was in a rush for those pay for these. She had to have an associate come help her actually put the barcodes in. They didn't have >> This is This is actually what caught my eye. So, as this is going on, she starts pulling stuff out of the plugging, I guess, to get ready to scan it. And this these items right here, watch these items very carefully. And watch what she does with it. See how she pushes it against her hand to ring it while the other item, which I think is like eyeliner, um, sharpeners or whatever, >> right? She put it on the opposite side of it. Her guilt appeared obvious, yet she showed no shame and continued trying to win the officer's sympathy. >> I didn't plan on coming in here and doing any of that. Um, I've really been struggling. I going through a mental thing. I don't know what kind of even I've been doing so good. I mean, like the last couple weeks I've been I just been not doing this. So, anyways, I came in was looking for different stuff. I mean, I might have been lolly. I'm sorry. I don't know. Um I I might have been looking for different stuff and I might look a little you know erotic or you know what I'm saying in my mind. Um I literally the stuff I there was a couple things on there I did scan I did. There was, like I said, there was the things that I was sliding that and it didn't take me that I really did think that was taking at any point. Did you put things? >> No. No. >> I'm asking you to just want you to know I'm not No, I'm not lying. >> Revisiting her past, officers brought up a previous theft case and it appeared to instantly panic her, causing her tone of voice to change immediately. So, prior to 32 back in 2014 for a grand theft. >> So, did you marinate her? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Take a seat. >> I don't have to go to this. >> I never did nothing. >> So, yeah. I'm going have to do a physical. >> I will take any I never >> I'm going to jail. >> I'm going to jail. >> All right. So, Courtney, at this time, I'm ask you to stand up. All right. It's not our choice. Just go ahead and stand up and I'll explain everything to you once you stand up. It's Don't make it difficult. >> Okay. >> Okay. Yours, >> please. I need at least I have people. I have people at least. >> Okay. We'll figure it out. Okay. >> Please. >> Are they too tight? >> No. Yes. This one. >> Okay. >> Please. >> Stop moving your wrist. It won't hurt. >> All right. Go ahead. Sit back down. So, this is where we're at. All right. >> So, this is where we're at. You stole here. Okay. In a perfect world, what we normally do, and you can ask these two guys, we usually come here. We'll run everybody. We'll issue them a piece of paperwork that says, "Here you go. This is your court date. You got to go." Right? >> We don't take everybody. >> No genuine tears fell at all. And her crying stopped immediately as she continued talking about the details of her previous cases. So that case I saw it was from 2014. 2016 you had an adjudicated guilty case where it was convicted, right? You even had restitution that you were supposed to be paying back 600 bucks. Ring a bell. >> Well, I had a lot going on at the point where I was in jail for a while. Um >> Okay. >> Yeah. I I don't remember exactly the rest what you were talking about with the restitution. I know that it was settling in court that it wasn't on me. Well, you had two different cases that involved the theft. >> What other one did I have? >> I don't know. It was another one from I think 2018. >> Oh, >> I had like you had like four charges. Possession of uh I don't know how to say a a proam something that >> No, that was a that was a >> Yeah, another theft on there. Grand theft was dropped. >> It was grand theft. Yes, it was dropped because I There was nothing that Okay. >> Yeah. >> So, here's where we're at. You got to go. You got to go to jail. We We We have no choice in the matter. Like I said, when you have a previous conviction, we got to take you. [music] All right. >> The woman claimed she stole because of financial hardship. Yet, she still had money to buy marijuana, making her plea to escape punishment seem even more illogical. >> Anyway, that's all I have. Is there any way we can get the gift card so I can get >> Please, >> it's up to what their policy is. 100 police. >> I mean, could you just talk because I don't have anything. >> Well, you will call your boyfriend. >> My boyfriend, Listen, my boyfriend doesn't have we're we're we're freshly. He has a lot of kids. He doesn't have anything extra. You know what I mean? >> Well, it's whatever their policy is. Sometimes they can do cash. Sometimes I I I don't know. >> I pay with with cash, though. Okay. >> I understand. But it's their policy. It's not ours. We don't work here. They do. So whatever their policy on returns with cash is what they're going to do. >> I understand you don't like me. I just I I'm just asking questions. >> I don't know if that has to do with anything. It's about policy. >> I'm asking questions. I don't understand. >> But we're trying to explain >> so I can bond out of jail, >> right? I I I get your point. You want cash so you can bond out of jail. But >> if there are policies to give it back to you on a >> Can you just be quiet? I can explain to you the questions you're asking me. Okay. You're asking me a question. I'm trying to explain to you, but you keep interrupting me. >> All right. You want cash, right? >> Yes. >> Their policy may be they can give you cash, or it may be that they have to give it back to you on a gift card. >> Just wait. That's what we got to answer. You're freaking out for no reason and you're getting a lot. >> She was then placed into the patrol car and allowed to make a call to her boyfriend. It seems she still believed she could escape the charges. >> And then I can I just tell him, >> please. >> Well, you're crying. He's not going to understand. I'm just going to >> I know how I can talk about it. >> No description, no direction. >> Got to turn it up and hear gun. >> Baby, >> man. Cortez is bringing the car back. I got to call shoplifting. $20 worth of stuff at Walmart. I got the money. I need somebody. Please, can you get somebody to come bomb me out ASAP? Baby, please. >> Baby, please. I don't have nobody. Cortez back. I mean, I know he is. Please, babe. What? What? What he say? >> Um, it's a petty death. >> Hey, bud. You hear me? >> Hey, this is Officer Cortez with Ocala Police Department. First of all, no relation to the other guys she's talking about. All right. Um, second of all, so she got arrested for uh, petty theft. U, so she's going to be at the Maring County Jail. So, in order for her to bond out, she said she doesn't have any money. You >> No, I do have money. >> Okay. She says she's got money. So, she'll probably call you from inside the jail. >> All right. She just wanted me to call you. I guess the car she said belongs to you. >> No, it's not that. I just need help. >> Okay. I don't know. Anyways, he she just wanted me to tell you that that >> she was charged with petty theft as a repeat offense, taken into custody, and later sentenced accordingly under the law. Personal hardship never justified theft, and attempting to manipulate sympathy only led to harsher consequences.
