Why am I getting arrested? >> Right after that, the officers returned to the store to speak with the employee involved in the incident. It seemed that the reason behind the disturbance was also quite serious. >> Hey there, can you break this? >> Maybe. Give me the magazine. >> Yeah. >> And this stuff is yours or is it for us? >> For you. >> Thank you. >> What do you mean, like break it, break it? >> No, like pop it for an ice pack. >> So none of this is paid for? >> I don't know. >> No, I just ran for the receipt. >> Oh, none of that is paid for? >> Yes. >> Oh, this top part? >> This stuff is not >> Okay. Okay. >> said, "I am actually Why you hit me?" >> Yeah, we We'll do aggravated theft and um Back outside, a woman believed to be a relative of the suspect appeared visibly upset about what had happened, which only made the situation more tense. >> The baby was crying in my house. >> The baby sad. Everybody sad. Everybody just got You're not here to video recording us like what are y'all doing all that stuff? >> What? >> I'm just saying you're going to be able to get the shot. >> I need to >> So long as she's breathing just fine. >> Like she ain't going to >> Sir, step back there. >> Shut the [ __ ] up. >> Step back there. >> That's why your hand's bleeding cuz you're a [ __ ] [ __ ] >> She is nothing standing right there. What are you here for? >> My sister. >> No reason. Correct. >> Cuz y'all are murderers. >> No reason. >> Murderers. Do we have your badge number? What's your badge number? I already have everything else on recording. I'm going to take a picture of that, too. Cuz we're That's exactly why we're doing I'm about to do a lawsuit now because of all this. We all trying to do that because of that. Yeah, exactly cuz he's You don't You ain't going to fight nobody else. You ain't going to fight no man without no badge on. >> But the woman acted completely arrogant, insisting that no wrongdoing had occurred at all. She even began showing clear disrespect toward the officers. >> You all that. You ain't I can I'm a CNA. I can do it. I'm a CNA. I can do it. I went to school for that. Yeah, exactly cuz he's a dick. >> Ma'am, take a step back. >> No, he's stepping towards me. >> You take one step back, ma'am. >> up, he walks back towards me. >> Ma'am, right now this is your last chance. Take one step back right now. >> Because of what the suspect had done earlier, the officers had to communicate with her through the patrol car window. However, she still insisted on presenting herself as the victim and framing the situation in her own way. >> I am too. I'm trying to ask you about the children. They're okay now, right? You just said that. You said that they're okay. You told me they're okay. Now you're asking are they okay? I'm talking about the man that touched me. I'm like automatically under arrest and he's not? >> Yep, right now you are. Yes. >> Right now, what do you mean? >> You're You're the only one being under arrest at this time. Hey, real quick, do you want Taylor to take the stuff you bought? >> Why are you guys asking the same things every time? >> Well, I got to hear it from you cuz I'm about to hand it over to her if you you want that. >> I literally said it seven times. You guys are breaking my wrist and you guys >> Is that a yes? Is that a yes? Do you want Taylor to take your belongings? I need to know. >> Sir, can you arrest the man that touched me first? >> I am I'm the guy who arrested you. >> Can you arrest the man that touched me first? >> There was no assault that took place with him. >> What assault? >> You assaulted him. >> How? Cuz I tried grabbing my phone and he pushed me. >> The same simple question, do you want her to take your stuff? Okay, that's fine. >> Let's get All right, let's get the going for him. Do you need to use my car? >> Yeah. >> The woman was ultimately charged with theft, assault causing bodily injury, and interference with official acts. It shows that once aggression and resistance are introduced, the situation can no longer be resolved as a simple misunderstanding, but instead leads to serious legal consequences for everyone involved. Next, this woman pulled even more tricks. >> What's wrong? >> My son was just in an accident. Of course, I'm having a bad day. I'm a little white girl, so you guys don't care that you're ruining my kid. My kid now >> On the 24th of March, 2026, police received a report from Target about a woman suspected of previous shoplifting returning to the store. This time, employees watched her much more closely. She casually pushed an empty shopping cart into the store and wandered through the electronic section as if nothing was wrong. Even with employees nearby, she acted completely relaxed, chatting and laughing with them naturally. Soon after, she filled her cart with merchandise and took advantage of a moment when staff walked away, pushing the cart toward the exit like nothing had happened. A loss prevention officer quickly stopped her before she could leave. Despite the obvious theft alarm and confrontation, she refused to admit anything and instead began yelling, accusing employees of racism. Even after police arrived on scene, she immediately tried to portray herself as the victim. >> I accidentally >> Move over there. Don't be coming up to me like that. >> you, please come >> Don't come up to me like that. Go over there. >> Oh, you have the camera too? >> So, what? >> Um, she has multiple items in her cart. >> But, is she actually stealing something? >> She, yeah, she was walking out and I redirected her to come back to the office >> have permission to be So, she's paying? >> So, she's paying or what? >> Oh, no, she rang that >> She's not paying. I don't even know if she's She had the option. I don't want her in the store. She's creating a scene. >> Okay. >> I rang that >> All right, so come on. What are you doing? >> What? >> Are you paying for this stuff or what? >> Well, yeah, she said she rang stuff and I'm trying to see if I can hear it. >> All right, let's go. >> No, this was open. >> They don't want you in here. Let's go. Let's go. Come on. Let's go. Let's go outside. >> That's what I was trying to do, but then he gave me like, "Oh, now you're not going to buy anything?" I was like, "No." I was like, "I'm just going to get a brush, you know what I mean?" >> Did she pass the point of sale or anything? With the items? >> I rang that, but it was my hand. >> Let's go. >> Can you just at least say that you're >> No, I'm not doing nothing. >> had grabbed my personal property. >> The woman thought the >> police did not know what happened, so she tried paying for the items to act innocent, but moments later, the situation completely changed when officers took a different action. >> Why apologize? Oh, I don't get an apology? >> Put that back in there. >> No, of course I don't, cuz I'm a fool. >> back in there. Put that back in there. >> No apology, you were wrong. >> Let's go. >> I'm not doing anything. >> Come on. Come on. Come on. >> expensive stuff. >> Come on. Come on. >> Sir, can you get my my items back? >> Why are you doing this? >> I understand you do dick all day. >> Turn around. You're under arrest. >> I didn't steal anything. >> Turn around. >> So, what? >> Turn around. I'm not [ __ ] with you. >> I was in a very bad day before what? >> Turn around. >> My son was just in an accident. Of course, I'm having a bad day. I'm not trying to resist you, but you can't What do you Is this what you wanted? Over a minute uh mis- uh uh >> Turn around. >> What do you want? I didn't [ __ ] do anything. Cuz I showed you, I asked for an apology. This is what you wanted because I asked for an apology. You're hurting me. Get my stuff right there. Get my stuff and my stuff. I want to see you grab it. All because I asked for an apology? Because I asked for an apology? You're grabbing me like this. Okay, I'm You're breaking it. You said you were You said you didn't see anything. Who's lying? You keep doing this. Where's my Apple [ __ ] And my little turkey thing. Bro, get my stuff. >> At the same time, loss prevention told officers about her earlier theft that day. >> She was earlier with another gentleman that was under the influence of drugs. I've been watching her since she walked in with the other gentleman. >> Okay. Over in electronics. >> She She grabbed it. The items and attempted to walk out without paying for the merchandise. Now, we had before that I I presented myself to let her know like, "Hey, I've been watching you for a while. Um you you escalated the situation." She was in the back room where team members only should be. Um and she was back there um saying she was looking for milk or something. Anyways, um when she went to go walk out, I went to stop her. Um she didn't comply and she went back to self-check out and started creating an entire scene saying she didn't mean to walk out with the merchandise. Um and then that's when I reached out to you guys cuz it was obviously starting to escalate and she was starting getting very, very >> Back with the woman, she escalated her victim act even further by suddenly crying to gain sympathy. >> So, you want to make the line sorry or should I have a lawyer with me? >> Don't matter to me. >> Okay, so now I'm with the good luck. I can't walk my mouth. >> Cool. Let's go to the car. >> Can you grab my apple watch? Are you going to get it? >> Can you grab your watch? >> Huh? >> What? >> Can you get my watch? He said he didn't even attempt to ask you to bring me a receipt. He didn't even accept it until he was three hours late. I didn't even weigh in 4.4. Please, don't stop dancing for me. >> Sit down. >> It wasn't me, it's you. I'm sorry I yelled at you in public. You know that makes people think they can like You know Sir, please talk to me. >> All right, sit down. >> You're not talking. >> Sit down, look at me. Hey, uh, Fender. Fender. Can you stand by with her? >> My legs hurt, sir. Fender, but >> In reality, not a single tear ever came out. She even continued begging anyone who showed up around her. >> All right, um You guys going to bring her to LP really? >> Listen, this is what No, please >> Listen, yeah, stop talking for a second, just stop. >> You want to bring >> Just stop. >> Okay. >> Okay, just just let us talk. I haven't even asked you any questions. I haven't asked you any questions. >> I have videos of you. >> Stop. Um, do you want to bring her into the LP office and we can just go from there? >> she's being belligerent. >> Yeah. >> And pulling and and running and all that, so >> No, I'm afraid Are you a parent? Are you a parent? >> And this is watch, correct? >> It's my son's and I just my son was in an accident. >> Is this your watch? >> Yes, it's my >> I'm going to put it in your purse, okay? >> Maybe. >> Your son was in an accident? >> Yeah. >> I'm sorry to hear that. >> No, and so then >> I'm going to go confirm what we've got. >> Look, I have >> Yeah, he said he had >> I haven't asked her anything. >> Please give my wallet back, please. >> I'll Miranda is not How do you open this thing? >> I know it's hard. >> Miranda's like you said you wanted to >> Where's my Are you getting the rest of my stuff in the army bag? Cuz you took my video. >> Just open the purse, please, so I can put your wallet in. >> clean for 4 months, but that's just with the hope that I finally got into the God base one. >> Yeah, will you open the purse? >> I got to squeeze not like this. You got to squeeze these two. >> After finishing all the procedures, officers and store employees announced their decision regarding her actions. >> And I have >> is March 24th, 2026. You are officially trespassed from Target. You cannot come back to the Target, which includes all of the parking lot and all of this area until March 24th, 2027. If you do come back before >> And you were physical and put your hands on me. You put your hands on me. >> Miranda >> You put your hands on me. >> Miranda, listen. Do you understand what he just said to you? >> What? I don't care. I'm past I'm suing him. >> That's fine. >> He groped me. He touched me. >> can't come back. >> Just like your partner Ray is. >> If you come back within a year, you go to jail. Does that make sense? Okay. >> okay. I'm a little white girl, so you guys don't care that they're ruining my kid. My kid now is in the >> Anything else I can help you with? I mean, she was she was fighting me, so I was fighting her. Do it again over there. She doesn't like me very much. Yeah. Yeah. I told uh Bergman to go to since she's a female and whatever. All right. >> She was charged with petty theft, disorderly conduct, and resisting an officer. Lesson: Constant lies and victim playing only made the situation worse instead of helping her avoid the consequences. Worse, the woman also lost her job as a result of the incident. >> I don't want to lose my job. >> Have you been arrested for for shoplifting before? >> No. >> Are you sure? On the 2nd of March, 2026, police received a report of a theft at Walgreens. The female suspect was believed to have fled shortly after, but police quickly located her at a gas station. This is what happened at that moment. How you doing? >> Hello. >> Where's your bag at? Did you go to Walgreens right now? Are you sure? Okay. What are you doing here right now? >> I was working. >> Yeah. >> Where do you >> Working here? Okay. Where's your black bag? Want you to stand up for me. Did you have a black bag on you? >> No. >> Okay. You got anything in your pockets? Did you go to Jewel and you steal anything? I'm sorry, not Jewel, Walgreens. >> No. >> You sure? Cuz I'm going to have them come over here. And they have to identify you, you're going to be arrested. So, I want you to be honest with me. If you took stuff from Walgreens, tell me where it's at. Give it back to me, and we'll go from there. >> Okay. >> Where are the stuff? >> It's in my job. >> You work here? >> Yeah. >> Why would you go steal at Walgreens? >> I'm sorry. Cuz my boyfriend, he stole stuff and >> Okay. Well, you stole stuff today. >> Mhm. >> You're a Speedway employee. Okay. Did you pay for these gum? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Where's the receipt for it? >> This is mine from my job. This This is mine from my job. >> Let's go get the stuff. Want you to go we'll talk to them at the Walgreens see if they want if they want this their stuff back. Unless you want me to go talk to them. We'll just trespass her and let me >> my job. Well, you're here. Inform them that she's a Speedway employee and she's never going to do it again. Let's go get your stuff. >> You know I can't bring it back in the store. >> No, I'm going with you. Under police pressure, she admitted to her theft. Immediately afterward, the police recovered all the merchandise. Okay, well, give me the stuff that you took. All of it. That's all you took? >> Yes. >> Okay, let me get your ID. >> I have my ID >> Where's your ID? >> At home. >> Why would it be at home? You're working right now. Okay, let's go outside. 52 from 51 informing that I got all the merchandise that was taken. What's your first name? >> Niesha. >> Spell it. >> N I E S H A >> N I >> E S H A >> Slow down. >> E S H A >> What's your last name? >> Brassfield. Am I getting charged for this? >> Well, I don't know. It depends on what they want to do. The woman still believed there was nothing serious about what she had done, forcing the police to explain the consequences she could potentially face. It's a crime to steal. You work at a freaking gas station. Somebody stole from here. If you were working and somebody stole in your establishment where you're working, what would you want to do? >> Then >> Would you want them arrested? >> Not really, but I would have them give it back. >> you're in the predicament where you're on the other side of the of the of the >> I would have them give it back. >> Okay, well, I can't I can't tell you what they're going to do, all right? What's your last name again? >> Brassfield. >> Can you spell that, please? >> A S S F I E L D >> F I E L D Do you got a middle name, Niesha? >> Yes, Monae. M O N A >> Just need the N. What's your date of birth? >> Brassfield. Oh, no. >> That's 6. Can you run it again? >> 0101 >> Yes. >> Okay, what's your phone number, Miss Brassfield? How long have you been working here? >> Not long. >> Not long? How long is not long? Maybe a month, 2 months? >> Couple weeks. >> Couple weeks? Okay. >> I don't want to lose my job over >> Have you been arrested for for shoplifting before? >> No. >> Are you sure? Cuz I can look you up and I will find out. >> I know. >> Her expression showed no sign of remorse, and she went on to shift the blame onto her boyfriend, trying to frame him as the one behind the situation. All right. >> I was only in there like we sell my boyfriend, he sells stuff like I don't know on the train and stuff. He sells stuff. >> He steals from people? >> Huh? >> He steals from people? >> No, he like just sells. >> Sells stuff? >> Yeah. >> Okay, that's what >> deodorants and stuff and he tells me to get it. >> So your boyfriend told you to go to Walgreens, steal a bunch of deodorants so he can sell them on the train. Is that what you're saying? >> Basically. >> Okay. I got you. Your boyfriend's a bad influence. He shouldn't be telling you that. >> I know. >> How old are you? >> 20 I just turned 25 on the 28th. >> 25. So you're an adult, you can think for yourself, right? You make your own decisions, right? >> Mhm. >> Okay. And this one was a bad decision. >> Yeah. >> All right. Where do you live? >> Um east side. >> At that moment, officers explained to her that she would be placed in a patrol car. However, based on her reaction, she still seemed to believe she was not being arrested for her wrongdoing. We're going to have a squad car pass by over here. Just look at the squad car, okay? All right. >> That's 43 >> What does that mean? >> That means there's going to be somebody in the back of a squad car that going to identify you if you were the person that was stealing in that Walgreens or not. Okay? >> Shots fired 22, change to assist. >> I'm not going to help you. >> Yeah, I know. >> I'm getting arrested? >> Yep. Come on. >> That's a pretty good explanation for what they wanted to do. >> Finally, she was formally charged with retail theft. Attempting to minimize or justify theft does not remove legal responsibility, even under influence or external pressure. The individual still made a conscious decision to commit the act and later faced full legal consequences once the evidence was confirmed. Next, a single theft investigation ended up exposing two more separate crimes. >> The stuff wasn't scanned at the scanner. And I was like, "Oh, well, my apologies." >> What are you doing, bro? Oh, stop, bro. What are y'all doing, bro? >> On the 23rd of January, 2024, police stopped a vehicle suspected of being linked to a Walmart theft. However, they did not expect the situation to be far more serious than anticipated. This was what unfolded at the time. >> Hello. >> Hello. >> Good. How you guys doing today? >> Good. Good. >> Good. Awesome. Police Department. Um the reason why I'm stopping you today, there were some people at Walmart said that there was an issue. You guys um coming from that area. Um they gave this license plate and everything. Said the vehicle description um that was involved in some type of altercation with somebody from uh Walmart. >> Oh, yeah. We had just a a few items that she had supposedly scanned my scanned. I guess she forgot or whatever the case may be, but we left the items. >> Okay. >> And we we was trying to purchase it, but they said we couldn't. So, we just leave the store. >> Okay. All right. Um and it may be just some type of misunderstanding or something, but that >> Yeah, it was. And we I literally asked them, "Can we just go pay for the items?" They told me some, "No. Can you guys just leave our store?" >> Okay. >> We asked can we pay for it, and I asked them did they have a charger for me to charge my phone. They told us no. >> We need to rescan. >> They said we they just needed information before we could just leave the store. >> Okay. All right. And so, did you guys go like through a self-checkout or something? Or Okay. >> Yeah. And we literally tried to pay for the items. They wouldn't let us. >> Okay. All right, fair enough. Do you guys have your IDs with you? I can take a look at it real quick. >> So, they believed it was a misunderstanding rather than being caught in the act, and they admitted they had tried to pay afterward. However, that clearly violated Walmart's policy after crossing the final point of sale. At that moment, the primary suspect detailed the entire story from her perspective. >> Put some items in a shopping cart. Kind of go through that for me what happened as far as >> Um I was actually doing the scan and go on my other phone. >> Okay. >> Um I'm not sure if it died before or after we end up getting the cake because we didn't get uh cake until after we paid for the groceries. >> Okay. >> Um they asked to see a receipt. I said, "I forget the scan and go on my phone." My phone was dead. I asked, "Did they have a charger?" Because it was already on my phone. >> Okay. >> They said, uh "We will have to uh give them our information and uh uh we won't be allowed back in the store if we don't give them our information." I said, "What's the issue?" >> Okay. >> We paid for the stuff. I'm not understanding why. They At first, they wouldn't tell us what was the problem until we made it to the back of the back door. And they were like, "Okay, well, since you guys keep asking" because we kept asking like, "You guys are pulling us in the room, but not telling us what the problem is." >> Mhm. >> What the problem is. They like, "Oh, well, you got You guys have this uh cart, but the stuff wasn't scanned at the uh scanner." And I was like, "Oh, well, my apologies. I can rescan it, but my phone is dead." >> She came prepared with a detailed story about her phone dying and being unable to complete the payment, but in reality, police used her ID and discovered this was far from her first time doing something like this. >> All right. Uh miss We were just had a warrant. >> Okay. >> no. >> You have you have a warrant for retail theft. You weren't aware of that? >> No, I'm not. >> Yeah, it was it was issued in July of this year. So, it looks like it's a PR warrant though. So, what will have to happen is that we'll have to take you down to the county jail and you'll have to get your fingerprints and photographs and stuff and what they'll do is they'll give you a new court date about like 30 days out from now. Do you Are you aware of any pending cases or anything like that? >> No. >> Okay. Not aware of that at all? No, okay. So, if county too, so I don't know what what you got going on or whatever. I haven't looked into it yet, but they just told me that you had a warrant. >> What the >> Yeah, so are you on the phone with mom or you still are? Do you want to tell mom the information or whatever or have her come down and get you or >> Do you know how long this is going to be? >> Um it just depends on how long it takes to process you, that's all. So, the the faster we get going the faster I can get you out so you can get your kiddo's birthday party. Um they would have tried to make contact with you. You would have got something in the mail, too. >> I have not received anything in the mail, nothing. >> Okay. Yeah, you you would have got something in the mail around July then. So, like I said, it's a PR warrant. So, generally the only thing they'll make you do is post like $35. It's like a it's a warrant fee is all it is. What you'll have to post down there. >> The woman was taken into custody shortly afterward while the mail driver tried to clear his name and distance himself from the theft. However, police then informed him that he was tied to an entirely different violation. >> So, as far as your license goes, were you aware that your license is no good? Your license is revoked on our screens. You're aware of that or not? >> Oh my god, please don't tell me that. >> license is revoked. >> aware of that. I wouldn't been driving. I don't need to be doing that cuz I know I gave the tissue back. I had a roll of tissue under me and I had paper towels and I placed it and I forgot the tissue. >> Well, we have a huge theft problem back there, okay? If you didn't steal anything, we'll be out of your hair here in just a few minutes. >> Okay. >> But, while we're doing our investigation, you do have to provide us the information we're asking for, okay? >> Okay. >> That's that's why when you were giving us attitude back, we got to start with you. >> That's fine. >> You have to give us the information we're asking for, okay? That's all mine. >> Based on your reaction and how you're behaving towards us, I'm going to say you probably stole it. >> I haven't been doing this job. >> I've only been doing this job for a few days. That's why I can't understand why you ran from me. >> In the end, she was charged with retail theft, resisting arrest, and obstruction of justice, in addition to her active warrants. Running only made her situation worse. Honesty and accountability from the start could have prevented far more serious consequences. Next, the man even turned Walmart into his own marathon. Somebody called the police on me? >> Absolutely. >> For real? >> Yeah, come on. >> Who did it? Who called the police, man? >> On August 10th, 2024, officers received a report from a Walmart store about a man who had been committing theft. According to the surveillance footage, he repeatedly glanced around as if he had been preparing for something. Once he had ensured it was safe, he began taking multiple shopping bags and placing them into his cart, showing that this had been a premeditated act. Immediately after, he left the store without paying. At the same time, officers had already arrived and moved in to stop him, which then escalated into a dramatic chase. >> The ones right here? >> Yeah. >> Officer, I want to see why y'all stopped me in the middle of the >> You should just stop. >> Huh? >> You should just stop. >> I did. >> Stand him up. >> I ain't going to be able to stand up like that. >> Why you roll up? >> I'm trying to. >> I know. >> There it is. >> Call the police for me. >> I got you. >> What I did? Cuz you was waiting on me. All right, listen. Do I got to go to jail? >> Absolutely. >> Why? >> Cuz you ran. >> His act of fleeing had indirectly admitted his own wrongdoing, yet he still questioned whether he would be going to jail. Perhaps it was because he felt no real remorse. He even went as far as making desperate pleas. >> Please, man. I don't need to be from here. >> Oh well. >> Man. Oh my god. Man, that was for school, man. Hey, man. I ain't got I can't say. This is not but I got 10 people that's here with me, man. Man. >> 7157 >> You got gloves? Just people He checked the mirror trying to see if there was a way he could get the guard center bolts. I said, "Well, I don't know." That's when >> Only bags, his items. >> Yep, so I don't I don't actually have him bagging items. Yeah, it was in a blind spot. >> Mhm. >> But >> But you do have him not going to the register. >> Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. There we go. >> That's all I need. >> Yeah. Yeah, eventually well >> Uh is there any way you can get all of those different uh >> Oh, yeah. But >> Yeah, but he didn't actually help or anything. >> Yeah, I didn't know. >> Okay. >> Oh, yeah. Or I would have easily told y'all, yeah. >> Mhm. >> Um All right. >> If you wondered why a physically capable man like him did not seek a job and instead turn to theft, At this very moment, he was about to give you the answer. >> Yeah, man. I wanted to. You know, I I didn't want to. So simply, what it what it would have been just a Well, no, cuz I had all that stuff. I would have still went to jail. I can't really hear you, though. >> Sam Haywood was charged with felony shoplifting for stealing over $650 worth of goods, obstruction of law enforcement for fleeing from officers, and additional charges related to his four active arrest warrants. Running from the truth only made his situation worse. Instead of taking responsibility, his choices turned a simple crime into a far more serious consequence.
