You're digging it into my arm. So close. >> He's digging it into my arm. No one will tell me. >> Do not force. I'm promise you this is not going to go well for you. Sit in the car. You're going to gun club. Sit in the car. >> On November 20th, 2025, police were dispatched to Walmart after receiving reports of a raging outburst occurring inside. And it was revealed that the cause came from one of their own employees. To understand what truly happened, listen to the testimony of this employee. >> What's going on? I'm in water. I'm the one that called her. And I got an associate who like we was just trying to like not even hold her accountable like just speak to her cuz you know Walmart our core values stick to the individual like you can't be cussing each other out in front of people like >> so like just from there the the tension just went overboard and so we we called like a a lady TMG and a lady big boss coach you know to talk to the lady in the in the the room whatever >> and she was not having it and then she got she like we used this little um pointy thing to like grab stuff off the shelf. Yeah. She started holding it in her hand like a weapon. >> Not really like a weapon, but she had in her hand, swinging it, like talking on the phone with somebody like >> and her language or whatever. >> And when she was um like literally right after that >> um when the when the coach told her like you're being hostile right now, like clock out and come back and talk to the store manager tomorrow if you want. >> Basically giving her a chance. >> Yeah. And then when she said, "You're being hostile." I guess she took that like she about to be fired or something. She like, "Are you playing with my money, my family?" She dropped it and just started swinging on the coach, the lady coach. And then right after that, she started um the boss start talking to the officer. >> Additionally, regarding the woman's actions, several witnesses came forward and provided their statements, showing that her behavior was completely abnormal. >> She attacked two coaches, myself and a team. Do you want to press charges? >> She untagged us. Yes. >> Yes. Okay. That's all I need to know. Okay. >> All right. So, I'll get back with you. >> Okay. >> Uh, what happened? She punched you, scratched you. I see you guys scratching on that. >> She She hit me in the face. She attacked him, hit him in the face. Then she went after the team lead and started hitting him. Then she came back and hit me in the face. Then she hit the team lead again in the face. Then she ran out there, attacked him, threw one of those bird flower things at him. He just took off running. So you saw him out. >> Oh, that was that was the team. Okay. At the same time, other officers approached the woman who, after everything she had done, sat in a corner of the store, and it could be said this was the beginning of her lack of cooperation. >> What happened? >> Where do I begin? >> I don't know. Let's talk outside, though. >> My mother's here. >> Okay. How old are you? >> 28. >> 28. Okay, we can talk outside. You just cough in your hand. I'm sorry. I'm not going to do that. You can stand up. 10:15. You can stand up. >> You can stand up. You just had a whole outbreak. Let's Come on. You can stand up. >> All right, that's fine. We'll stand you up. >> There's no weight. Ow. My dress. >> She's going to jail. Ma, >> you can go home. Thank you. >> No, ma'am. She's 28 years old. You can go home. It seemed to stop at mere non-ooperation, but soon after her mental state spiraled into panic once again, bringing with it a wave of chaos that stretched from inside the store to the outside. >> Where are you taking it? >> To jail. >> Which one? >> You're digging it into my arm. >> He's digging it into my arm. >> Go home. >> You need to tell my mother where you're taking me. >> You're a grown woman. >> Where am I going? Where am I going? >> To jail. >> Where? What you want? You're digging my >> dick. I told you need to help me. >> You didn't seem weak after you started screaming like that >> cuz you're hurting. >> That's why I'm guess you're fired down. Ain't no point in coming back. >> Where are you? >> Watch out. Which is why? >> Sit down and we'll tell you. Sit down. >> No, I'll tell you. >> Do not force. I promise you this is not going to go well for you. Sit in the car. You're going to gun club. Sit in the car. >> Mommy. >> Sit in the gun. >> Mommy car. >> Mommy gun club. Chill. >> The woman appeared weak, but in reality, her actions showed she was putting on an act. And even after being arrested, a witness went as far as giving a sworn statement to firmly confirm the horrific thing she had done. I am the fashion coach here. Okay. And so I got called in to come speak to an associate by Coach Isaac. Um that's the other guy who she jumped on as well. So when I went to the back room to speak to her, I said, "Hey, can we go and have a conversation, meet you, and go try it?" She said, "No, I don't want to talk to him." I said, "Do you mind talking to me?" She said, "We could talk right here." And I said, "That's not how we do things. We go behind those words. What's going on? we don't need nobody else into it. She said, "No, whatever you can say, you could say right here." And I said, "No, we need to go behind closed doors." So, she said, "Well, I don't want to I don't want to talk about it. I don't want to talk to nobody just like that." So, I said, "Okay." So, Isaac was standing up behind me and I said, "Well, Isaac, she could call back and go home and then she could speak to the store manager on her next scheduled shift." So, Isaac said, "Okay." So, I said, "You could go home. When the store manager come on your next scheduled shift, you can talk to her." So, she ignores us and she picks up the phone. She starts speaking to someone on the phone in Creole. Now, I know a little bit of Creole. And basically what she's telling you, what she's telling whoever on the phone is that not for word for word, but it's basically telling them that she um different coaches are telling her different thing. And the whole time she's doing it, she has the stick in her hand, a metal stick, and she's hitting it back and forth while she's talking to the person on the phone. So once she finished talking, I said, "Hey, you could clock out and go home." Just like this, I got my hands on my pocket. I said, "Hey, you can clock out and go home." I was standing behind me. She said, "Girl, you ain't going to mess with my money. Girl, you ain't going to mess with my money. Girl, you ain't going to mess with my livelihood." >> Finally, she was ultimately charged with battery and trespassing. Actions driven by uncontrolled emotions can quickly spiral into serious consequences, proving that losing control in a critical moment can cost everything, including one's freedom and future. >> That's fine. I'll never come back. I swear. >> Yeah. And it's not just here. It's like >> I understand. I mean, let me off this one time. I'll never come back. I swear. >> You might have to go see a judge then. Okay. So >> on October 23rd, 2025, police received a report from Walmart about a woman suspected of shoplifting. Here's what happened when officers arrived at the scene. >> You want to talk to her first? You want to talk to me first? >> Doesn't matter. I mean, >> so I came across her. I noticed that she was kind of all over the place over in Apparel, so I started to watch her. Um, and then I got her over into shoes where I seen her like she have merchandise in her purse. And then she went over into um one of the shoe or one of the aisles where the purses and stuff like that is and the headbands and stuff. >> I'll tell you everything I did step by step. >> So just the jewelry was taken. >> No, no, no. We got the rest of the stuff. They're still trying to get They're trying to get They're trying to get barcodes for everything right now so we can do >> All right. >> Um yeah, I guess I'll just talk to you then. Um >> you're doing that. I'm going to go out there and see if I can help with that done because it's taking them forever. >> Okay, perfect. Since we're back here and such, I'll read you right. >> I'm getting >> I don't know. We have to talk to that. But for right now, you are being detained and such. So you have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can be used against you in the court of law. You have the right to have an attorney to have the present while you're being questioned. You can decide at any time to exercise your rights. >> I know, but I do. And I really messing me up. >> Sorry. >> You can have the present anytime if you would like before you answer any questions. Um, you can decide anytime not to talk. >> The woman appeared completely unreorseful and there was a reason for her attitude. According to her statement, she did not consider her actions to be stealing. >> So yeah, what what happened? >> Being honest with them, okay, I've been going through some stuff. I got all my clothes going. I literally just left court. You know what I'm going through. I'm sure if you ran my name, I cannot get in any more trouble. I do not steal. The one time I was, "Oh, I'm going to take a few trips from Walmart cuz I have no clothes to get." I took three tank tops, a necklace, some face stuff, and a lip gloss. >> Okay. How did you take it? Like you have a cart? >> No, I stuck in my purse. >> Your purse? Okay. I'm I gave it all back. >> Okay. Did you take the tags off things and such? >> Okay. >> But I gave it all back. I even told him where the tags were. >> Okay. >> 62 status. >> 104. Where are you living at? Are you You're over in Strer. That's the right address. >> In trouble. >> All right. Well, yeah. Like it's up to them. I know they've already filled out a trespass, so you're going to be banned from here. >> That's fine. I'll never come back. I swear. >> Yeah. And it's not just here. It's like let me off this one time. I'll never come back. I swear. >> Okay. Yeah, they're probably >> okay. So, come with me. Grab your stuff. Yep. >> She completely downplayed the situation she was in. And even with her previous experience of being arrested, she seems surprisingly optimistic about the next steps with officers >> and then I'll bring you back here. Did you drive here or what? >> No, my friends picked me up. >> Okay. Can they just pick you up at the station? >> Can you drive me a ticket? >> I You have We have to do fingerprints and stuff at the class A. >> You know, last time I got arrested, they didn't do my fingerprints. What's our drill? >> Couple monthly. >> Okay. Well, yeah, our fingerprint machine went down, so it makes sense. Um, yeah. So, I'll take your purse. I'll put it up front with me. Uh, you don't have anything I need to do. >> No, I don't. Promise. >> Okay. Let's put your phone. >> Can I message somebody and tell them? >> Yep. I'm going to have Wi-Fi. >> Yep. Tell them to just come down to the station and it won't be long. You have any open cases or anything like that? >> Yes. >> Like for what? I just left court. >> Okay. >> For a possession of a gun. Drugs is when we're mine, though. I'm fighting it. And then in Lifestyle County, I'm doing a That's all going to get dropped, too. They said they found drugs in my car and I never seen them. So, >> it's county. Yes. >> Okay. Yeah. Yeah. You might have to go see a judge then. Okay. >> What we're going to do, what we're going to do is go down to the station and I'll call up to say, see if there's any really trial conditions or anything like that. >> Yes. Not getting in trouble. >> Okay. Yeah. Then that's So you might want to tell them I would have to go up there. >> Why do you guys write me a ticket? >> It's a class A. This is just how it goes now since the safety act. So you just write me a ticket. >> Her frustration showed just because she wasn't given a ticket this time. Even in the patrol car, she shamelessly talked about her last ticket. This is ridiculous. I just got sanctioned. I just did like 8 days a couple weeks ago. You like your dog? >> All right. >> Oh, yeah. Probably >> I've heard that for sale. >> No, it was probably found or >> what? >> Impounded or something? >> No, I'll grab it. Yeah, leave it. >> All right. Right in front of there. I'll take them cuffs off you. Okay. All right. Have a seat there. The bench for me. Just had a seat on the bench. >> At the police station, officers conducted a more detailed interview to gather her account of the incident. >> Can they kind of explain to me what happened? >> I'm going to Walmart. Uh, slow ground. Literally, I have a crate of clothes. That's all I have. My all my stuff got robbed straighter. Everybody's everything. I said, "Oh, I just p tank tops and a pair of leggings >> and swap out my sunglasses and yeah, I got caught." Not even anything crazy. People walk out with carts of stuff. >> Yeah, they sure do. >> And I have never in my life been like I don't even steal. >> So, you got a couple shirts. You said >> I put a couple shirts. It was like a long sleeve shirt, a pair of leggings, and some face stuff. >> Okay. like makeup or >> no like this clay because my skin's breaking out really bad. >> Okay. >> And I put in my purse. >> Okay. All right. >> And when he asked me, I was honest about everything. I even told him where the tags were and I gave everything back. >> What about the jewelry with our necklaces, too? >> There's one necklace I had it on. I forgot I even put it on. So, I was like, I usually always wear necklace. I'm like, "Here, take it. Sorry." Okay. >> I'm like, "Here it is." The the packaging. I told them where all the ticket little things were and everything. So, >> Okay. And >> completely honest. >> Sure. Yeah. Where did you Did you actually buy anything or no? Where did he talk to you at? Where did he Where did he stop you? >> Right when I was walking out. >> Okay. By the doors. >> Yeah. Okay. >> Shortly after, police questioned her motives for committing the wrongdoing. It seems she also refused to accept the consequences of her actions. >> Do you I mean, is it just you're hard on times? You're not having money? >> Very hard on times. Well, I have um all these felonies. Can't get a job. I was a CNA. >> Yeah. >> Uh just never ending cycle of [ __ ] >> Just hard. And I had all my stuff at somebody's house and they everyone goes and all the little drug addicts go and take all my one pair of pants. >> Okay. Sorry. >> All right. Well, let me get your uh >> bad person. >> You're not a bad person. People make mistakes. It's >> exactly. >> Yeah, I get it. >> Really not anywhere trouble. >> Okay. All right. Just do you want to make any phone calls off our phone here? You're good. >> Yeah. Jesus. >> How do you want to go? I'm going to make sure that I have to call and see if you have any pre-trial conditions. If you do, yes, you have to go up there just for the till you see a judge. I have to got to do my job. So, um, can you sign here for me? >> Stay there all night, >> huh? >> You'll have to see a judge in the morning. I'm not going to lie to you about that. I doubt >> I have to You're going to have to take me to jail. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Huh? >> Yes, you'll have to go up to county for sure. Am I going? >> I'm going to check on your pre-trial release conditions. Okay. It's that's a misdemeanor. It's a >> I know, but if you violate any criminal statute, it's >> I don't >> All right. Just sign there for me saying you don't want to make any phone calls. If you change your mind. >> In this case, the woman was charged with retail theft. Even when the wrongdoing is obvious and the consequences are clear, refusing to take responsibility only makes the situation worse and shows a lack of accountability. In the next case, the police faced many challenges. >> They're the ones. Come over here. [ __ ] [ __ ] you're doing. >> I'm hitting him in the corner. >> You keep on hitting me. >> On October 9th, 2023, officers received a call from TJ Maxx reporting a group of women engaging in shoplifting. Upon arriving at the scene, the officers approached the store manager to gather details about the situation. >> So, I have three females in the building right now. Um, they have been actively selecting. One of them I have on camera still in her black ducker bag that she selected off my floor. Um, one of them is wearing a black jacket and she does not have a face mask on. The other one is wearing like a red lingerie suit, short sleeve shirt, shorts. >> They're still inside. >> They're still in there, but we can't >> they're still inside the building right now. >> We can't do anything until they actually come on um and come out the store with our merchandise. But when I was coming out here to coming up here to reach you, they were still in the kids section selecting my items. >> At the same time, officers noticed a man engaging in inappropriate behavior in the parking lot. They immediately took action. >> What are you doing? >> What do you mean, what am I doing? >> Come here. >> Come here. Hold on a second. >> Come here. Turn around. >> What are you doing to me? Central, I have one detained, unassociated. >> What the hell do you think you're doing? >> I'm hitting him in court. >> You keep on hitting him. >> Well, at least they're on top of it. >> You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can be used against you in court. You have the right to an attorney. If you can't afford one, we'll be on top of the police. She's inside our place. >> Their mom. >> Yeah, she's in there. There she is. But when I told her he was dragging him by his neck, she went, "Oh, is he?" >> I'm not being arrested. >> Why do you think, sir? >> I don't know. Well, I spanked him, but I mean, >> no, you did not spank him. Everything's on body cam. >> Shortly after, officers approached the mother involved in the incident, and she appeared to see nothing serious about what had happened. >> Has a broken Has a broken arm. Is that your husband? >> Uh-huh. Well, friend, we're done. >> Well, he's probably going to go to jail today. >> Okay. So, I mean, what happened exactly? Uh, I saw him punching that guy multiple times. And I'm not talking about discipline. I'm talking about punching >> multiple times. >> We tried to tell him kept on doing it to him. >> Yeah, it was um it's going to be child abuse. >> Okay. >> All right. Um which will probably lead to other issues, but um on his side of things. >> Uhhuh. >> Uh has he been acting up today or what? um because he wasn't listening because he was running in and out of the aisles and he basically took well he said well you're going to have to come get me if you want me to stop and then finally once he did get them I guess >> look I'm all for I'm all for punishment of kids who act up but what he was doing was not is not right it's not it's not within the laws all right we can go back to your car if you want >> is there anyone else 108 that can come to TJ Maxx there's three suspects and just on me right now. >> 250. I'll help out if you need to. I'm right here. >> Returning to the main incident that brought officers to the scene, the officers plan to wait and monitor the suspects for the right moment. >> If they're concealing things inside the store, we can detain them. >> But as soon as they walk out with the merchandise, one had a black duffel that is ours that have a TJ Maxx tag on it. Unless they have a magnet, it is a black duck. >> Central, can you generate a second call at the same address for child abuse? And that's the call that we'll have one in custody on. Is that them? >> 250. We sure that's not them. >> She's saying that's them, but they don't have any merchandise. They dropped it inside the store. >> 104. >> The one the Brown was carrying a couple bags. >> After receiving a confirmed signal on the suspects, a nearby officer quickly moved in to intervene. But unexpectedly, the women had already prepared something insane. >> They're the ones. Come over here. >> [ __ ] [ __ ] Spray. Spray. [ __ ] Godamn. Black Dodge Stratus. Flee in the scene. >> Assault on officer. Assault on officer. >> Sergeant, I'm here with you. I got you. >> I got Damn it. >> Assault on water. >> I got water in my car. [ __ ] Where's your car? >> Yes. >> Not a charger. >> It's an Avenger. >> It's not a charger. Black on the back. I got water. I got water. I got water. >> Give me Give me one. Seems secure. What the [ __ ] >> The suspects had clearly anticipated the officer's presence and had prepared a method to escape. At that moment, officers were forced to struggle after being hit with pepper spray. >> Yeah, they I think that's said that one of that was at the mall was all beat all up and [ __ ] >> Was it was the same one? >> Okay, >> yeah, take care of him. I'm going to go get camera. Okay. >> Okay. >> One of them pepper sprayed our sergeant. >> Okay. Um I have a a officer here, the one that responded to the call. Um the one of the girls that left when they left here, one of the officers that was on a different call, she pepper sprayed him. I think Beverage seen her seen him leave leave out. >> Yeah, there was an officer going. >> Yeah, but I don't know if they caught up with Knew it. >> I've never been sprayed that bad. >> Yeah, good. It look like a damn host pipe. Like a damn garden. >> They had it. >> The woman was convicted of theft and assault on an officer, although the assault charge was dismissed as part of a plea agreement. She pleaded guilty to stealing merchandise valued between $10,000 and $60,000, was ordered to pay more than $11,500 in restitution, and was placed under two years of probation >> from school. >> Understand, but we're past that point. >> I know you're past that, but please, just one exception. I'm I'm a single mom and I I just summer's coming up and I just had to be >> On March 14th, 2025, police were dispatched to Vonm after a report of a woman attempting to conceal items in a baby stroller. Upon being approached, the woman appeared somewhat remorseful for her actions. >> You could if you want to look I have a merch located on the computer. >> Please, sir, like >> you're going to have to come in there. >> Where do you live? Where do you live at? >> Orland. >> Orland. Okay. >> And I have to pick up my kids. Please. God. >> What's going to happen? >> Nothing yet. Just got to figure out what the amount is and I got to talk to Ben. >> I swear I will never come here again. >> You guys are still working on video. >> Um video I can I can show you that. Yeah. While this is going on >> started observing at 12:26 with handbags. How you know? I was sitting outside. I was sitt I was sitting outside. >> It's a 1226. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Um >> and you said handbags. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> So, she already had that black handbag on her stroller there >> along with some women's items. >> Okay. >> So, she ends up buying us a different handbag. Okay. >> So, handbag was on the stroller handle. >> Yeah. Like the top part. Okay. But right here, um the black purse Mhm. Um, it's on the stroller. So, she holds that white purse up and takes the black purse and kind of stuffs it in the stroller >> like in the pot. >> Yeah, like under under. She has some clothes up on there. Okay. So, it went underneath there. So, that's it for the handbag. I'm going to skip ahead. >> Okay. She buys one uh handbag. >> From the information obtained, the woman carefully selected the items before taking them and did not stop there as she continued moving to other sections with the same intent. Okay. And she makes her way up to the infant infant boys area. Okay. >> Where she selects eight infant items. >> Infant area. And you said eight. >> Eight. >> Eight items. Okay. >> Um she moves over to >> Where'd she put the items? >> Uh they were just on top of the stroller. >> Same thing. Just on top. >> Yeah. Okay. >> Then she moved into >> the >> the lingerie stock room. I'm sorry, fitting room with the Yeah. So, she's in there. Okay. >> Um was up there with her. She was reported to the fitting area to observe the fitting room. She exited fitting room. exited fitting room at 116 with just uh a couple of the women's items that I didn't that she had originally when we first started watching her and just one of the children's items. >> Okay. And the fitting room was checked? >> Yes. I checked the fitting room, found no merchandise whatsoever, and one empty hanger. Okay. >> Um she does make her way down to first floor. Okay. >> Where the the women's items she had, she like just sat on one of the counters and put on hold. >> She put the items that she already had. >> Yeah. She just put them kind of here on hold with who had come down. So dealt with her there. Inspected the items that were put down. >> No children's items inside or anything. >> And then she exited east door at 122 and was apprehended by Tom of the East parking lot. exit east door, stopped the parking lot, IDed as LP, and she came back. No issues. >> Yes. >> Okay. >> Everything was already clear, and the woman surely knew it. Yet, she still failed to grasp the seriousness of what had happened. >> All right, ma'am. So, I'm going to read your Miranda rightites. It's just like the movies. After each one, I need uh response. Whether you understand yes or you don't understand no. >> Am I arrested? >> As right now, you're not under arrest, but you're not free to leave. But I said, we have our investigation to do. So, >> please, I swear I will. I swear to God, I promise this will be the lesson ever. >> I'm going to read you your Miranda rightites and you either got to tell me you understand yes or you don't understand no and whether or not you want to talk to me. Okay. So, >> please, please, please. I swear I will never do this again. Let me go. >> Ma'am, >> please, please. I cannot get arrested. >> Okay. Why are we here? So, what happened today? I I honestly I really I I'm I'm a single mom and I I just Summer's coming up and I just had a baby. I just wanted to get some stuff. That was it. >> Okay. >> Please, please. I swear I will never do this. I swear. >> Are you working? Do you have a job? No. >> No. >> Okay. The woman avoided the officer's questions and instead spoke about her personal circumstances as if seeking sympathy. Yet, the reason behind her actions was utterly irrational. >> She came here. What was your plan? >> To honestly buy a birthday gift. That was it. I was going to go in and out cuz I had to pick up my kids. And then I was like, "Let me take a little gander at the kids section." And then I saw the cutest little things that were a little crazy. And I I >> You couldn't pay for it? You couldn't afford it? Okay. All right. And then before we continue any further, is there anything else in here that we need to know about? >> We recovered everything. >> Yeah, I did find the additional items. >> Okay. So, I have 621. >> Okay. Have you been arrested before? >> No. Please, please, please. I did not get arrested. >> So, here's the deal. Okay. So, thanks. >> So, unfortunately, the amount that's something I can't just like, okay, have a good day. I mean, if there was like 20, $30, that's something that we could discuss with loss prevention because this is a lot. >> Yeah, but it's the thing is they're little items. They're so expensive. It's not like it's one. >> Well, this is why I'm things are expensive. I mean, Target's usually cheaper. Got cheaper stuff. But you come here, everything's expensive. >> I will literally >> Because of her actions, the woman was decided to be taken into jail that same day. And as a result, her family members were forced to face a difficult situation. Watch the decision made by this single mother. Put it right. >> So, here's what's going to happen. Okay. We are going to have to take you into custody. >> I cannot I truly cannot go. >> So, let me explain. We're going to have to place you under. >> We're going to have to place you under arrest. What we have to figure out is what to do with your child because there's two options. One, let me finish. Okay. >> Here are the two options. One, you call somebody to come pick your child up or we call DCFS and then they take custody of your child. Oh my gosh. So those those are two options. So get on the phone with someone and tell them they have to come here and pick up your child because those are the two options. >> Sure, please. Could I come back? Could I I I'll literally come back with you. >> No, unfortunately no. >> Unfortunately, no. >> I will literally pay for everything on my credit card. >> I understand, but we're past that point. >> But I will like just get out of it. >> But here's the deal. The only reason you're willing to pay for is because you got caught. It wasn't because you wanted to pay for it. >> I know. I know. But now I'll pay for just to go to jail. Please. We're past that point. Like I said, those are options. So, do you have a phone so you can call somebody to pick them up or you got to get DCFS over? >> The thing is, my kids get out of school in literally 30 minutes. I have to pick them up. >> You got to come up with another plan. Okay. So, someone's got to pick up your child and man, what's your phone number? Okay. >> Please, officer sir. I swear I Please. I swear to God. I just can't get arrested. I literally I don't have like the means or anything. Like I I got to pick up my kids from school. >> Understand? We're we're past that point. >> There's no way you're past that, but please, just one exception. >> She believed she would be the only exception, but she was not. And everything she did only prolonged her own hardship. Therefore, the police were forced to issue a warning >> to the rule. >> So, let's start working on calling somebody to get up there as fast as possible. Like I said, let's get that going cuz again, I don't want to call DCFS. I don't want them to take custody of your child cuz I'm going to tell you right now with getting your child back after you're arrested, it's going to be very difficult. So, let's just get someone over here to handle this. Okay. >> Hi, this is Dr. Oliver. >> Hey, how are you? >> Good. Just so you know, you're on speaker and you're being recorded. >> Okay, fair enough. Um, uh, I'm an attorney, by the way, my name. >> Okay. >> I'm her wife and her attorney. I mean, I'm her husband and her attorney. >> Okay. >> Um, I guess I'm kind of confused. your uh what what is she being um arrested for? >> Retail theft. >> Retail theft. >> Yep. >> Okay. And then the next step is >> she gets taken over to our station, gets processed and ideally released within the next hour or so. But we got to have someone pick up uh pick up the baby. Otherwise, we got to take the baby and contact DCFS. So that's why we want a family or friend to come in and get the baby. >> No, no, that's not necessary. >> Yep. Like I said, we just want to get it done. >> 45 to 50 minutes to get there. >> Okay, >> sounds good. >> Where where should I meet? >> Bonau. You just see our squad. You see our bonar at the at Yorktown Mall. You'll see our squad cars and just park over there and we'll meet you out there. >> Okay. >> All right. >> There was no single mother here at all as she had lied about that. At this point, the next procedures were carried out. >> It's going to go. Okay. We're not going to handcuff you right now. Okay. We're gonna get up. We're gonna walk out. Okay. You're gonna hand off whatever it is that you need. Okay. And then >> could I just put her in the cart? >> You can put you can put her in the stroller. Um then we'll hand her off and then we're going to have to put you in cuffs after that. >> Okay. As long as you stay cool with us, don't run anything like that. I mean, we want to get this done. You'd be surprised by what some people say and then what they end up doing. >> Yeah. Just keep her phone by you. I mean, I wouldn't drive back to Orland Park. I mean, unless you think you can make it there back. >> You got two other kids, man. >> Oh, yeah. All right, then. >> I mean, I'm going to stay here. I'm going to stay here, but the process >> uh is a felony. >> It's a felony amount, but I got to talk to the States attorney's office and let them know what's going on and they make that decision as to whether or not it's going to be a felony or misdemeanor. >> So, we'll keep you in the loop >> based on the amount. So, we'll keep you in the >> phone. We'll keep you in the loop on everything. Like I said, ideally, it'll be 30 minutes to an hour, but she'll keep you in the loop on what's going on. All right. Okay. >> We're going to walk over there. >> In the end, the woman was charged with retail theft. Lying and seeking sympathy could not erase responsibility, and believing in special treatment only led to harsher consequences. >> It was the really hurt me. I let it make the phone call on one phone call. >> You left it up my sleeve. >> Cuz I don't want to get caught, buddy. >> Talk about why. >> What do you mean? I don't want to get caught in the car. >> On February 6th, police were dispatched to a hotel after receiving a report from a man searching for a missing phone. But upon arrival, the caller matched the description of suspects accused of theft at a 7-Eleven. And that was when the police's act began. >> Make a towel from the phone. >> Oh, you're saying to like a phone thing. That's what I'm trying to figure out how to do. >> Uh, okay. >> You going to hear everything that's going on. That's what I've been trying to do. I've been doing this for an hour and he gave me a hard time. >> Well, let me let me wait till my partner's finished and then maybe we can walk out to the car and then that then you can call her and then if it's out there, it'll ding. You'll hear it cuz otherwise what's the point of her doing it if we're not nearby to hear it? We'll stand by the car. We will call her on speaker and ask her to ding it and if it's in the car, you can grab it. >> I bet you're trying to say that though. >> It was cold outside. We came inside to figure out what we're going to do. to get a car firing from him. >> Are you going to come or do you want to go outside now and do it? Let's go to the car. We'll call fiance or whatever quick and get her to pick the phone. Okay. I got to hold on. Sorry. >> Let's go over here so we can get I'm just going to wait. >> I'm not doing nothing irresponsible. Queen. >> All right. >> Queen. >> Yeah. >> Can you please try to find where my phone at? Because they they trying to make it seem like I'm a part of something. I got nothing to do. Nothing that's going on. I'm stranded out here. I mean, what they need for me to do. Send a screenshot to somebody's phone. >> I don't know what they want, but I'm trying to find my phone. I've been trying to find my phone for hours. He said you can make it do the >> You know, when you lost and found [ __ ] >> Yeah, the phone. >> The police also tried to lure the remaining female suspect to appear while the man was completely unaware of the police's act and even revealed many other things about himself. >> Trying to make it like I got something else going on. I ain't got nothing to do with this cop. >> My license is bad as is. I'm already fighting the case. I'm not going to drive no [ __ ] car. >> This ain't got nothing to do with you. You can run these plates on the cop. A nothing to do with me. >> Thank you. >> This not my cop. >> You trying to blame this on me? >> I am not trying to blame it on you. >> You was trying. That's why you waiting to confirm for him. >> I'm trying to help you find your phone. I'm literally on helping you right now. >> You trying to wait for a whole confirmed for something that ain't got nothing to do with me, man. Blaming anything on you. >> No, you wasn't. You let me learn before you he ma'am. Can you can you do the find my iPhone like make it ding for him? Trying to help you find your phone. >> I understand the phone. >> Somebody has his phone. >> Well, the phone goes straight to voicemail cuz I called it as well. So, >> it's ringing. >> It's ringing now. >> You saying it went straight to voicemail. Well, do you want me to hang up and call it or do you want to go over there if it's ringing and see if it's ringing? Did he check the car that that car? We've been checking the car the whole time. >> Yeah, we're checking the car right now. Careful. I don't hear it ringing. >> Can you tell that is Are you still calling it? >> I'm going to call it now. >> Okay, she can call right now. There's a phone right here. >> What phone is that? Right there. >> No, this not it. >> Thank you. >> That's not it. >> Okay, >> that's not my phone. Ryan's got a Louis case on it. A Louis case will color. >> The search for the phone was only arused by the police. In reality, they led him to reveal information about his vehicle and even astonishing details inside it. >> Trying to find my car. I've been trying to get back to you the whole time. I'm searching this person cop left and right outside the cop. >> FC 53884. See, look. God damn. It ain't even closing. >> I'm saying this got nothing to do with me. >> See, I had to have slid under the seat, but I don't see it. And that phone under the seat's here, not yours. >> Oh, >> no. You're good, dude. I didn't see nothing here. >> I do not. You don't like >> No. And it rang and rang and rang and then went to voicemail. All right. You want to try inside? >> All right. >> Really helling me out. came outside to try to enjoy my life being outside. That's it. Before he came to the desk, it was the party that really hurt me. I He let me make a phone call on one phone call. >> I bet look at my phone. >> Shortly after, the man led the police back to his own room and that was the moment they returned with the true purpose they had been waiting for. >> You see one of them? >> We need to put in the couch right away. Yeah. Wait. >> No. Got it. All right. >> Yeah, that's great. Hey, so we've got some news for you, man. So, we got video from the 7-Eleven that you knew nothing about. Can you put your phone in your pocket, please? >> Okay. So, we're going to put you in in handcuffs. >> I ain't got nothing to do with that. >> Nope. No, don't. >> You did have something to do with it. >> No, I don't. >> I don't. >> You do. Do you want to see the I'll show you the the photo right after I put you in handcuffs. I don't have >> I promise I'll show you the photo, >> but don't do it. Let us just do this thing. >> I don't have nothing to do with that. Come on. >> It's not No, >> I don't have nothing to do with that. >> You do. >> Come on. >> I'm not I'm not in I have nothing to do with it. >> But we have to detain you while we do an investigation. >> Hey yo, come outside, man. Cuz I ain't did nothing with this. Chaos erupted affecting that entire section of the hotel. He denied the allegations yet resisted despite having nothing to prove his innocence. >> It's here. >> I'm trying to make sure that >> I thought it was clear on that one. >> Can we please make sure >> Why is you lifting up my sleeve? Cuz I don't want to get caught, buddy. >> Talk about what? >> What do you mean? I don't want to get caught in the cup. >> My head's been in C double cup me. We're going to charge you. >> I'm not doing nothing. You can't move your feet. >> I'm not doing nothing wrong, man. >> I have guys in my leg. Hey, Dante. Good morning. How you doing? We got to get you in here in jail. Okay. We got to bring you in. Nothing wrong. Okay. I haven't seen your paperwork yet. The other suspect was found heavily intoxicated and unclothed with all of the stolen merchandise recovered inside the hotel room and the total value exceeded the felony threshold. They were charged with grand theft. This case showed how careless behavior and overconfidence only made it easier for police to uncover the truth, turning a simple lie into serious felony charges. In the next case, meet an organized group of thieves whose members were mothers. >> He being real he was being real nasty. We need to get a CR. >> How much are these cups worth? >> 35. >> She's at like >> On June 29th, 2024, police responded to a report of the theft of 24 Stanley Cups, and investigators believed four women committed the crime. To clarify the details, listeners heard the employees statement. >> Um, and my store manager's on the way to get you videotapies. Um, three black females come in here. Um, I was able to get their tag number. I kind of walked around. I walked by and I see him at the end of this aisle >> and they were doing something and I was like, "Oh, great." I walked out there and I seen a lady out there in her car with her um running and she was just kind of sitting out there. >> So, I kind of knew something was up. So, I was act like I was picking up trash. She was like, "Don't be taking down my tag number." I was like, "No, ma'am." I grabbed the cart and acted like I was picking up trash. >> I've been working retail a long time. I know what's up. We'll see. Um, so I'll give you the tag number. Tony Lucas, our store manager, is on his way. Okay. He will give you the he'll get the video feed. But they were down here and when they walked out into the parking lot, >> it looked like this. >> Penny counts. It was like this. You can >> Yeah. Clearly see >> um I didn't see which way they left because as soon as they left, I came in here to see and I didn't even think about it. And then I walked by and I seen those gone and that's when I knew. So you said there was three brothers. >> There was three inside and one um in the car. >> Okay. >> Now the lady in the car, she walked in earlier about 30 minutes earlier and was kind of casing. >> Okay. >> So I was doing inventory and the other association from back and she was busy with the customer. So it was kind of >> You're the one who called originally. Do you got your ID on you? >> Uh do we have a receipt like >> Yeah, they didn't anything. They um >> No, like an a an itemized receipt that of what they took. Carter. >> Yeah, >> Carter can maybe get that one. >> The front door is the front door. >> Jacob said to send home facial fix and he said to press charges to the full extent. >> Based on what the cameras provided, the police located the suspect in a vehicle matching the description. It appeared this was the person the police had been searching for. >> Yeah. She told me she didn't have a driver license or a very strong odor of marijuana coming out of the car. And when she opened the door, all the stolen fell out on the ground. >> Okay. Come with me, ma'am. >> Okay. >> She has no ID. I can give you my name. >> Okay, that's fine. We're going to walk right over here and I'm going to patch you down. Has anybody patch patted you down? Anything like that? Okay. You got anything that's going to stick, poke, anything like that on me? Okay. >> Absolutely not. You need to get under my bra. >> You're good. See on the rest of them? >> Yep. >> Okay. All of them. >> Mhm. >> All right. So, before we get started, I'm going to read you this having these rights of mind. Do you wish to speak with me? I will. >> Okay. So, why were you guys at Ace Hardware earlier? Um, I'll just wait to I'll just wait to talk to my turn. >> The woman's choice was driven by her fear of exposing anything connected to the other suspects on the other side. The officers also approached those suspects. >> Do you have anything on you that I need to know about? >> No. >> Okay. What we're going to do is um we're going to step over here to her Tahoe real quick. Hang on. Hang on. >> Give me your other hand, please. Thank you. >> Well, I heard what you say. >> Okay. Well, whatever. >> Well, what we being detained for >> for shoplift retail theft. >> We at >> uh the tractor supply, I think. >> Can I smoke me a cigarette least, please? >> Well, we'll work that out. Let me just work this out first and then we'll go from there. Okay. >> I'm sorry. >> Where' the line come from? >> Huh? Where all the cold? >> I'm not sure. Where else did y'all hit while y'all was over here? >> This one no hit or >> um you realize we have y'all on video, right? >> Yeah. Y'all are all on video. >> Stealing the sails from the Ace Hardware. We're here. Then y'all go to the Ace Hard. We're over here. >> Like we're not dumb. We do this for a living and you're on video. >> Oh, you said Stanley Cup, but you're saying something else. >> Yeah, we're all nice cold champagne. >> Ma'am, can you walk over here? I'm just going to patch you down for me. Okay. You got anything that's going to poke, stick, prod me? Nothing like that. Right. Okay. >> Both individuals initially revealed nothing about their actions, clearly suggesting this may have been a prior arrangement between the suspects. So, attention turned to whether the third woman would do the same. >> I don't have ID, but I can tell you >> ID. Okay. How about you guys? >> I'll tell you my name. >> Is that the Stanley Cops? Okay. He being real. He was being real nasty, right? So, we need to get a cr we should have crashed. Like, you shouldn't have said that. >> And that's not my car. This my son car. So, he come to get his car. >> Okay. >> But when you're driving with a bunch of stolen standing cups and stolen stuff in the floorboard, that's how you're going to crash. That's what I meant. >> Well, you >> But you take it how you want to. >> You didn't say that. I heard what you're saying. I recall what you said. >> All right. What's your first name? >> Stacy. Is it s t a >> c y and then last name? >> Sullivan. You racist. >> You're real racist. >> Yes, it is. >> We just don't like thugs. >> We I got to be a thug. >> What's your middle initial? >> V. >> V. >> Oh, I'm sorry. >> All right. And then what's your date of birth? >> Huh? >> What's your date of birth? >> All right. You mind just keeping your hands out of your pocket? Sorry. >> Yeah. >> All right. You got anything on you? You want to poke stick stab me or anything? >> Just my phone. >> Okay. Sounds good. cuz I wanted to tell my son where he can get his car. This his car, >> okay? >> He don't do crimes. Okay. >> Their common ground was that they all admitted guilt because the evidence was undeniable and none of the three showed any remorse. However, under pressure from the police, the woman in the blue shirt also revealed the reason behind her actions. >> I remember stopping to >> keep keep in mind that we already got all the videos from all the stores. They've already got field shots, videos. We already know about y'all's warrants from other counties from Petty Fifth. Like keep all that in mind before you sit here and lie to us. >> I'm not lying. >> Okay. And keep in mind that the only two we haven't talked to are y'all two. >> Me and who? >> The other girl. >> Okay. >> So, just keep that in mind. Okay. What did y'all do inside the stores? >> Have y'all got the videos while you >> cuz I got to I got to at least interview you. Give you a chance to defend yourself. Sorry. What about the wind? >> Come here, baby. Come in the shade. Why? Why in the world you come way out here? Where you stay at? >> I already know. I'm staying in the room. I'm trying to make money so I can pay my room. >> Okay. >> My son in prison. >> You don't got to feel sorry for I'm just >> I don't tell the other man he did he say wish he crashed. Like >> I be saying no like that. Sometime he be be struggling and sometimes you know you >> I am struggling. My son can't this can I ask ask you this question since I been that's his car. He don't get in trouble or anything. >> We're not seasoning it. >> Okay. Can he come get his car? >> Um well we can't do that. But what we're going to do is that it's being towed, right? We'll tell him where it's being towed to. Okay. >> Why that mean he have to pay more money to get it out the tow. He don't have that. >> But if he comes and gets it today, they don't charge like every single day. You know what I mean? If he can come get it today, they don't charge every single day. Okay. The only thing is we're not going to seize it. But we got to tow it. >> Why y'all have to tow it? >> Cuz if it's used during the crime, we got to tow it. >> Facts. Straight facts. We got to tow it. Okay. >> They're saving you big time because they could have seized the vehicle easily. But we we ain't going to see it because it's your son. >> You don't got that kind of money. >> But it ain't it ain't it's not your it's not your vehicle. I'm not going I'm not going to damage your son anymore. >> Even the fourth suspect, the woman who appeared to be behind today's theft plan was implicated as this was not the first time she had committed similar acts. Okay. >> Um so where did you guys go today and take and be mindful that we already have video footage. We have itemized receipts from each place. So, just take that in account. So, how many how many times have you been charged with like petty theft or retail theft? Have you had any previous? >> I I've I've never had a retail theft. I've had petty theft. >> Okay. >> It's it's it's been a few. >> Okay. How many have you had before? >> My dad. >> At the same time, the police inventoried the items inside their vehicle and everything showed that they had definitely committed more than just one theft that day. That's all. >> You got all the meat? >> Yeah. This is all >> tail. Okay. >> It had to be something. >> The island. So they left here. went over there. >> Nice. I drank a bottle of honey. >> Every time they hit >> They got the rib eyes, too, man. If it came from here, >> so all that cold champagne came from I wonder if they went You think they went to Publix on the island? >> I guarantee you cuz there there's meat and stuff all on this. >> Ribs. No. >> All four suspects were charged with grand theft and conspiracy to commit retail theft. A coordinated plan and repeated theft may seem clever at first, but clear evidence and police pressure eventually exposed everything, proving that crime always leaves a trail. >> What's the total together? Maybe >> uh it's about 900 940. >> Oh, you guys are going to jail. You guys came here to steal at the same time. On June 13th, 2023, Florida police responded to a call from J C Penney reporting a mother and daughter caught stealing $3,000 worth of cosmetics and clothing. When officers arrived, both were already held inside the store's loss prevention office. >> You guys came with an empty purse like Halloween. Whose purse is this? Right. >> Do you have a Florida license? >> I don't know. >> But are you here on vacation? >> When are you going back to Jamaica? >> I didn't know. It's not it. >> Yeah, I know. I just want to say it. >> Not right now. What's your date of birth? Ivy or that's okay. >> That's what they took. >> Yes. >> What's the total together? >> Maybe. >> Uh, it's about 900 940. >> Oh, you guys are going to jail. >> Mrs. Brown, >> you're not answering the phone. Please don't ask me. >> Can I answer your phone, please? >> No. >> I have someone at my house, so they need to go to the gift. Sorry. >> That's not what happened. >> The mother seemed uninterested in resolving the situation, making matters even more difficult. Her responses gave little personal information punctuated by size. >> Can I just have to deal with the house? >> No. pressing charges. >> Who got the call? The PBS. >> Oh, it was okay. >> Sometimes we get theirs. >> Yeah. >> Be easier for me if they let you go. >> I was asking if I can pay for it. >> What is your phone number? >> Like 20 million cameras in here. I don't know what you guys were thinking. >> I'll come back. And you have I'm going to read you your rights before we proceed with any questions because I didn't know the amount was so large. You have the right to remain silent and know answer any questions. Understand that right? >> Yes. >> Any statements you make must be freely and voluntarily given. You have the right to the president of the representation of a lawyer of your choice before you make any statements and during any questioning. If you cannot afford for a lawyer, you are entitled to the representation to the presence and representation of a corporal lawyer. Before you make any statements at during any question, if at any time during the interview you do not wish to answer any questions, you are privileged to remain silent. I can make no threats or promises to induce you to make a statement, this must be on your own free will. Any statements can be and will be used against you in the court of law. How old are you, Mrs. Brown? >> I'm 41. >> And you? >> Whose bad idea was this? >> Was it you, Mrs. Brown? >> I have that, please. >> The woman also wondered why their plan had been exposed. She tried to change something, but if only she had done it from the start, this outcome might have been avoided. >> Together with five people. >> Oh, it's the same crime. You guys came here to steal at the same time. It's not a separate crime. You guys are here together. You took half. She took half. And when you add both halves, now you got a felony. Anything else? Can that come off? Like he said, it's not that easy. >> That was that was step number one was to pay for it. >> To be thorough, the officers asked the woman additional questions, showing that the way these women educate their family truly needs to be reviewed. >> All right, you guys may have never been arrested before, and let me tell you, I'm being extremely nice. I don't have to. So, we, you know, everything's on video. Whatever I'm asking, >> everything that you guys did is on video. >> We drove a car outside. >> Um, >> are you guys okay with that? >> What's that >> with the vehicle being outside? Can someone come over and pick it up? >> Yeah, that's fine. >> Uh, whose car is it? >> Just locked down cuz they'll be trespassed. >> Yeah, I know. Whose uh whose vehicle is it? >> It's my boyfriend's car. Okay. Uh >> besides JC Patty, did you guys also went to a different store? >> No. >> You came directly here? >> No, we had supper sometimes. >> No, >> did your chop lift at a different store here in >> just only on this place? >> Yeah. >> Are those like personal clothing or kids clothing or who was it closed for? For you guys or for my daughter and myself? Okay. And the same with you? No. >> Guess what? You got a daughter, too? >> Yeah. >> Their actions were clear and serious. The mother showed some remorse, but it was certain that she along with her family members would face the consequences of what they had caused. >> How long when what time did you guys get here? >> I still don't know. We just got here maybe half an hour ago. >> You took all that in 30 minutes. I think we got here maybe after three. >> Are you sorry for what you did? >> I am extremely sorry. >> Thank you for your honesty, Sister Brown. How about you? No, >> you guys got like no record. No, >> I don't. >> I thought you were BSing me. I thought I thought you were lying. But you messed up bigger than her cuz you're not from here. All right. So, I got my confession. I'm burning the >> That's a statement. >> Yeah, that's a statement. You got Do you have their names? >> Yes. >> Who gave them to you? >> I got the names. >> Who's Anna? >> Ann is the is the is the oldest. Nice. >> That's not the name. >> That's another name. >> Okay. The one >> Sha Williams was that? >> Yeah, that that's the other one. That's the name she gave. >> I'm sorry. >> All right. Finally, the suspects were arrested and charged with felony grand theft. When criminals involve their family in theft, their actions are clearly serious. Even if some remorse appears, they must inevitably face the consequences of their own deeds. Next, the thief celebrated his prize only to receive a lesson he would never forget. Come on. Take one. >> On October 8th, 2025, police received a report from a Texas Roadhouse restaurant about a male suspect who committed theft inside the store. Surveillance footage showed that he approached the cashier. Swiftly snatched a necklace and fled the scene. Even more brazenly, after succeeding, he proudly showed off his stolen prize. An employee armed himself and immediately chased after the suspect, leading to a confrontation on the street. At that moment, police and medical personnel arrived in time, and apparent chaos had already unfolded. >> You have chest. You have chests on you. What? >> Chest still on you. >> Yeah. >> Who shot him? >> Who shot him? He did. >> I just got on site. I don't know. 41 medic secure. Get him to >> the restaurant. >> Sades or Texas? >> Sades. Watch out. >> The man lying on the ground was the suspect who committed the theft. He sustained an injury to his back and was promptly given first aid. Where you shot at? >> I don't know. >> Take one. >> Do we have anybody here? >> Right there. >> Let me have you roll over real quick. I want to see where I can my leg is. >> Okay. Roll to the other side. This one. >> We don't We don't need one. >> Yeah. There's no exit. Okay. >> Just stay right there now. We're going to get you some help. You >> want to die? >> No. Son of a [ __ ] >> Small one. >> Yeah, that's fine. Right there. >> You want some? >> Check them anywhere else. >> Is anywhere else hurting besides where I'm touching? >> I'm just going to lift your shirt up and check. Make sure you're not bleeding anywhere else. Okay. >> Come on, guys. Hurry up. I need something to eat. >> Right there, too. >> Come on, guys. >> Yep. >> Come on, guys. This should be good. >> Come on, guys. >> Two. Yeah. 4. We have a firearm here. Confirmed GSW to the back of the individual right at the intersection starting right here in that front grass. >> At that moment, medical personnel confirmed that his condition was not life-threatening. His fear completely overwhelmed any sense of guilt. So, he continued to complain. >> Feel good. >> He has two on his butt. Doesn't look like there's any exit ones. >> Down. Feel good. >> Okay, just lay flat right there, man. >> Please help me. >> Right under my left hand right here. >> I don't feel good, guys. >> I don't feel good at all. >> You said no exit. >> No, not that I saw. >> Is it still green or no? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Is there actually one? We can check one. >> Come on, guys. Come on. >> Sorry, man. >> Take some deep breaths. Okay, >> we're going to we're going to go. >> Yeah. Okay. >> Grabbing it. >> Single shot, sir. >> Only fired once. >> I don't know. >> I only heard one. Oh, he had one, too. I thought, >> come on, guys. I'm ready, bro. Come on. >> Tight, buddy. They got to do what they got to do to secure you so we can get you going. Okay. >> Shortly afterward, the victim, who was also the suspect in the theft, was placed on a stretcher and transported away, while the employee gave his statement about the incident. We got that. >> We're going to get you going. Okay. >> Hey, what's your name, man? >> Joshua. >> Joshua. What? Mo e >> John. It's going to be the new >> M C K O >> That guy right there. >> Do you know his name? >> So, you're the one that >> Yes. >> Okay. >> I got his everything already. Let's get him in a vehicle for now then. Sir, >> can you question? >> He said something about the chain. Did he still have the chain at that time? >> No. No. Well, yeah, when he when he was over here. Yeah, I got it back from me. >> It's broken now. But >> And that was after you shot him. >> Uh, correct. Yes. >> Okay, man. So, just for now, just to let you know, you're going to be temporarily detained. >> Yeah, that's fine. >> Um, until detectives understandable. The server was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, while the man who was shot was charged with robbery and lararseny over $25. Reckless crime escalated into violence, proving that impulsive actions and arrogance could turn a simple theft into lifealtering consequences for everyone involved. >> I'm 19. >> 19. You guys are all above 18. >> Yeah. Well, I'm here. >> Why am I here? And why are you in cuffs right now? On July 19th, 2024, the police responded to a Sephora store reporting two women suspected of shoplifting. It seemed that both were just over 18 watch what unfolded next as officers approached the young women. >> Listen, right now, let's go over here to the corner cuz I got to talk to all you guys about whatever support. Okay. >> Okay. >> So, go over here, take a seat. Go over here. Take a seat. >> Yeah. Or just lean against the wall. Do you guys got IDs on you? >> No. No. I have my >> All right. How old are you guys? >> How old are you guys? >> I'm 19. >> 19. You guys are all above 18? >> Yeah. >> All right. You don't have anything with your name on it? >> Take a closer look at this girl's face. There's a hint of awkwardness, eyes darting away, a clear sign of her anxiety. Just moments later, as another female officer arrived, the police made their decisive move. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> Okay. >> You said she's >> fine. >> Take this off. Put your hands behind your back. >> What is going on? >> Right now, you guys are being detained for the shoplifting investigation. So, >> did you write it? So her her too. Yeah. >> All right. Here I'm going to put your phone I'm going to put your phone in bag down so I don't drop your phone. Okay. >> Okay. So, you guys sure you don't have any ID on you? It'll just make it easier to find you. >> I don't have any. >> No. >> Behind the cooperation and handcuffs, there was a complete lack of shame over her actions in the middle of the mall. At this point, the store employee also stepped forward to give additional details of what had happened. >> Um, basically, they walked in. I was on the sales floor, so I noticed right away with the girl with shades and the hat plus the bag. Um, she I looked at her. She didn't smile at me or anything. She just >> Was she involved at all or No, >> the >> the one that's standing right there. >> No, she wasn't involved. >> She was just doing makeup. [ __ ] honestly, I think she was just a distraction. But >> I watched these two and they separated and they went by skin care, selected our skincare products. I watched them put it inside the bag from the CCTV. So, I got clear footage of them concealing it. She placed an item inside her jacket and then she put it inside her bag and took out the item in her jacket. >> They walked out. That's when I called you guys. Okay. >> And I followed them down there and I guess they saw me following them. So we turned back and they came visit. >> Okay. Um we're going to walk over to your office and just look through the the stuff. Okay. >> They usually park in the back by name and Marcus. >> They do. >> Yeah. Because she asked me where the exit was. The one with the cap. And they they you know they work in a team. Okay. And the skate vehicle >> got to be in the back. >> Oh, so they have a vehicle in the back. >> No, no doubt. That's how they come. Or they go they come to the track which is empty. >> Oh fenders on. >> It turned out that the sunglasses and false lashes the girls thought stylish actually made them easier to spot. Now the police let them keep their glamorous look while sitting on the floor as they continued handling the situation. >> How do you pronounce your first name again? Thank you. >> Okay. So again, my name is officer Timothy, all right, with the Buffalo Police Forman. Again, you're detained right now, all right, for my investigation. Okay, so I'm going to afford you the opportunity right now. >> Okay, hear you. >> And I'm going to afford you the opportunity right now to be honest with me and tell me what's going on today. What happened what happened to the world? Why am I here? >> Well, I'm here. >> Why am I here? And why are you in cuffs right now? I'm going to let you think. I have cameras on every single angle on that take something. >> Okay. >> So, did you take something? >> Did I take something? >> Yes. >> I was looking and stuff like that and I was trying on stuff. >> Okay. >> But again, right, I'm trying my best to work with you, right? is it goes a long way. If you're honest with me in the front end of my investigation, it goes a long way. Right. I already watched all the camera footage. I know exactly what happened. It's seeing if you're going to be willing to work with me and talk to me and tell me what happened. >> What you mean? You I'm already like in this predicting. >> Although this woman didn't deny the accusations, she didn't admit them either, constantly diverting the officer's attention. The other woman acted the same as if they had planned this in advance. So, you didn't you didn't purchase anything at the store? >> No. >> Okay. >> So, why are they saying that you took stuff from the store? >> Why are you why are they saying that you took stuff from the store? >> I don't know. I have a bunch of makeup stuff in my bag because I don't like my makeup. Like, all my makeup stuff is in my bag. >> So, all your makeup stuff's in there. >> Like what I brought from home. >> None of the stuff from their store is in your bag. >> No. But like I said, they have video of you being in there. >> Yeah. >> So, would it make any sense that they're watching you while you're putting stuff into your bag? >> Wouldn't make anything. >> You're saying you didn't think anything, but they're they're watching you on the camera while you're sticking stuff in your bag. Is that accurate statement? >> Yes. So, what what in that bag belongs to Sephora? Uh, I just bought ordinary from there. >> That ordinary? >> Yeah. >> Is that the skin care or is it makeup? >> Oh, the skin care. That's all I got. >> Okay. What What kind of skin care? Is it like oil face wash? >> It's It's for your face, but I think it's just like >> a stuff. Okay. Now, when you got that, you selected it, you or her? Did you take it off the shelf? Cuz she did. >> When I got the ordinary, I took it off the You took it off the shelf. Where did you put it? It's in my bag. >> No, no, I know. But did you stick in your bag? Did you walk around when it's in it? >> No, I didn't walk around. >> Okay. So, you just stuck it straight in your bag. Okay. >> After the officer's persistence, a confession was finally made. But the striking truth was that it came without any remorse. This wasn't a spur-of-the- moment act. She had come in with that intent from the start. >> Okay. So, you went in there with the intent to take something without paying, right? No, not >> Okay. So, at some point you came to the conclusion I'm going to take this without paying. Is that accurate? >> Okay, I got you. >> We're good. >> Yeah. Um, Officer [ __ ] is going to go through >> I said Officer [ __ ] right? This is the officer that's standing here with you. She's going to go through your bag, right, and take out the items that you took. All right. Uh, is this your bag right here? >> Okay. And this is your phone on top of it, correct? >> I didn't know where my soul went. >> No. Yeah. No, I have your phone. Yep. >> Was it just one bottle or two? >> It was two. >> Two. >> Everything else in there is my main stuff that I originally had. >> Do you want to have him come over here and take a look through it? There's a bunch of stuff. >> I'll just I'll walk it over there with him so it's easier so we're not playing back and forth, but I know for sure you're saying that it's these two, correct? Okay. All right. Um, since I like I said, you're still detained right now as are you. I'll be right back. All right. Thank you guys. Appreciating it. Oh, I didn't. >> Um, I'm going to grab that as well. >> Go ahead and go. >> Okay. >> In reality, the items she stole weren't worth much. The real issue was how she took them. >> The other woman was no different. For just two or three products, they were willing to gamble away their entire future. >> You're going to jail. >> You're under arrest, right? So, this is simple. I want to go through your bag and make sure, hey, what exactly you took is going to go back to them. If you're saying there's other stuff in here that belongs to you that you paid for, you need to let me know. >> You can you can um I just got to see what you're taking out though. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> What? >> Go ahead. >> You took this? >> Yes. >> Is this from Sephora? >> Yes. >> Okay. The stuff you did not pay for, correct? >> Right. >> Okay. Yes, that's it. got three items. >> No, this >> Okay, >> you need to search this one. >> Yeah, I'm going to bring this one over there, but there might be more in here. >> Both women were charged with retail theft. Always remember, even small impulsive thefts can derail your future faster than you think. Next up, the woman was taken by complete surprise by police, leaving her in disbelief. >> Have a guy come back here that's picking you up. >> No, I Well, I don't have that, so I I don't have that option. Are you guys sure that this is real? >> Yeah. >> No, this is going to have you sit in the back of my car right now. All right. On February 28th, 2025, police received a call from a bank reporting a woman involved in financial fraud at the location. When officers approached her, she completely denied everything. >> Hey, what's going on, man? Are you calling? >> No. >> You didn't call >> at all? >> No, you didn't call. >> I I did not call whatsoever. >> Okay. Are you trying to cash this in the Is that going a situation on the bank? >> No. >> No situation going on in the bank. >> I just walked out of there. >> Okay. You have an ID on you by any chance? Yeah, we just got a call about a issue going on at the bank with disturbance or anything like that. >> Oh, I didn't even I >> I >> Oh, no, no, no. I'm just saying disturbance like No, >> I got you. >> Um, what disturbance were they saying that I did? >> There was a lot of arguing, going back and forth. >> Oh my god, I swear. >> That's what we're just trying to figure out. No, no. I promise you I got a call because I have to go and I am not. They literally told me I can't. They have to call the owner and I left. >> Okay. >> I told them I'll get another form of payment and I was out. >> Another officer entered the bank. There they met with an employee who clearly explained the issue that led police to respond to the scene. >> It's with me. >> It's with you. >> Yeah. Let me explain to you. >> Yes. >> She went to another branch. >> Uhhuh. and to try to cash this check. That's the same that we have here. We kept this one and we called the customer and they don't know about anything about this. >> Okay. >> So, she's trying again. >> All right. >> This is >> So, where's the check right now? >> This is the check. >> This is the check. >> And uh show the email for the other one. So, that way. >> Yes. >> Oh my god. I can I like go like use the restaurant if you call me >> in a second. Like I said it's a >> All right. >> Um well I was leaving right now but you're going to have to give me a minute. >> Oh my god. But I wasn't even arguing with them. I >> said sometimes things come over the radio a lot different and then in the whole situation >> they didn't even they told the lady went to the bathroom. The suspect still believed she was being accused of causing a disturbance, unaware that her suspicious actions had already been discovered. At that moment, she told her own version of the story. >> So, what were you trying to do in there? >> I just went to cash my check and that's it. I got cash that I got given a check to pay to pay. >> That's it. And then she told me I can't and I just was like, "Okay." She gave me my IDs and my card and I walked out and I came here and then you guys came saying that I was causing the scene which that was not. So, you went in tried to cash a check and then they said you can't. >> She told me they have to call the owner to verify. >> Literally, I sat down. I waited. Um, she came out and told me no. No, the gentleman told me no. And I said, "Okay." And then he was like, "Oh, um, I said, "Can I have my check back?" And he said, "No, we have to keep it." >> And I said, "Okay, I'll get it. I'm going to talk through. >> It's a check made out to me, paid for." So, I just came in here cuz I don't have an account with them. >> I use my business debit card to show my two forms of ID, which >> where's your Where's your vehicle? >> Yeah. Where's your car, man? >> I'm sorry. >> Where's your vehicle? >> I came I got dropped off and I'm getting picked up. That's why I was eating and I hurt. >> So, >> where's the person that's picking you up? >> Well, that's the thing. I'm calling them because they have to go somewhere else. So, I'm I don't know. Like, I don't I didn't know this was going to happen right now. This was a familiar script of organized fraud rings where someone was dropped off to cash, forged checks, and withdraw money. Her increasingly suspicious story continued to prove exactly that point. >> So, I'm calling to get an Uber while they go or pick someone else up. >> Have the guy come back here that's picking you up? >> No, I Well, I don't have that. So, I I don't have that option cuz they're leaving because they held me up. So, when I left, I was like, "Okay, I'll come out and get it." >> Of course, >> that's fine. I did not make a scene or did not fight with anybody in there. >> Is anybody in there? >> There's a lady right behind me with the lady. >> Getting a sworn statement. Do you know >> he didn't walk in with the paper for a sworn statement? I think he was just >> Is that her ID? >> Yeah. >> Came back. >> I have my other ID. >> All right. I'm going to go check on over there. >> And you said she did this at another branch, too. Is this where I got the picture of the check? >> Yes. Fifth Avenue. >> Fifth Avenue South. >> Yes. >> Today. >> Yes. Uh before 3 and 43 because they sent an email telling all the branches about this. >> So she tried this. This is the second fifth third. She tried today. >> She did it over there at fifth a they denied it. She sent it. They sent out like a hey bolo watch out. She came here to do the same thing. So, >> okay. >> Here's a check. Here's a card. Here's a check from That's This is from over there, correct? The fifth AV. >> Yes. >> So, she has her ID. We ran that. >> And this is a check that she tried over here. And here's the actual check here. >> Yeah. So, this is a second. This is the No, no, it's the same. >> It's the same check. >> The same check. >> At that moment, the woman was completely unaware of the serious situation she was facing. And that was when police caught her off guard. How to freaking I'm hungry. I have to go to the bathroom, too, when someone got you. All right. Who are you calling right now? >> No, I'm on the phone with my people. I'm waiting to see what to do. And I'm also on the phone back and forth. I have people calling me cuz they're waiting on me and I'm not answering. >> Well, let's put the phone down first and then I'll tell you exactly what they told me pretty much. All right. >> Okay. >> Yeah. So, first I'm going just need you to put your hands behind your back. I'll explain everything right now. I'll explain everything. All right. >> Okay. >> So, pretty much you're being detained because you try to for uh give a forge check or something like that. I'm going to take off the watch just to make sure. >> So, you're trying to pass a fraudulent check. >> Pretty much too fraudulent. >> Well, that's what we're figuring out. >> That's what we're trying to figure out right now. All right. Wait, wait. That's a little tight. >> I'll fix it. I'll fix it. The right one. >> The left. This one. >> Okay. >> Wait. Wait. Hold on. >> Where did the check come from? >> I was paid by an owner to to get, you know, a job. That's not something that this has never happened to me. >> What do you do for work? >> Retaining. >> Yeah. >> You go track. Are you guys sure that this is real? >> Yeah. >> No, this is >> We're just gonna have you sit in the back of my car right now. All right. >> She seemed unable to accept the reality of the situation. Even when police tried to ask for more information about the incident, she had no intention of speaking. >> Sorry. Exercise these rights and not answer any questions or make any statements. Do you understand your rights as I have explained to you? >> Yes. Okay. um having these rights in mind. Now, you want to answer my question or something. >> You don't want to answer any questions right now? >> I answered all of your questions and I'm still sitting here. >> All right. >> I mean, that's fair enough, right? >> All right. So, you don't want to answer any more questions? >> No, I need to figure out what is happening to me right now before I I I'm I'm in here not knowing either as much as you. So, >> well, we just explained that you were in you're in cuffs right now because of some possible fraudulent checks and >> that's a big problem. That's the problem. >> That is the reason why. Like I said, >> you're in these cops. So, >> did you try to cash another check today? >> No. >> No. >> Like I said, that's the reason I'm being you. So, if we could get your side of the story, then that's the whole reason I read this. So, do you want to answer questions? Yes or no? >> Are you going to let me go? >> Like I said, we got to figure out what's going on first. >> So, can I just make a phone call? >> All right. Not right now. Like I said, if you answer some more of our questions, then by all means. Like I said, the questions could help out your situation. >> No, you don't want to talk. All right, no problem. >> Yeah. So, this is So, it's a church. This check. It's two different checks, too, from two different people. >> Yes. >> I was just making sure that was >> So, this is the church and then these are the four people that are on file. >> Okay. >> So, and uh >> they attempted to contact this one. They couldn't make contact. They made contact on the last one. That's where it was. >> Okay. And finally, she was charged with uttering a false check. Ignoring reality and refusing to cooperate only deepened her trouble, proving that denial is often the fastest way to turn suspicion into serious consequences. And the next case showed the consequences of protecting a criminal. >> You better stop. >> Get out caric. On February 25th, 2022, police responded to a reported theft at Walmart. The suspect was known to have committed similar offenses before and had prior trespassing violations. Upon arriving at the scene, the situation immediately descended into chaos. >> Hey, please stop. >> You better stop. Get out of the car. >> Get out of the car. Get out of the car. 304 out there. >> 304. Are you at Walmart still? >> Yeah, I had a vehicle just run from me. Uh, looks like they're going out towards the loop. It's a white. Looks like a Chevy passenger car. plate. >> First digit. >> They're going out towards Fourth Street. >> And a landing >> Impala. >> It's going to be a Chevy Impala. >> Look like a black female driving. >> The uh subject evaded and resisted. >> The female has a violent um leopard. She will get a car, too. >> So, the driver in the vehicle also cooperated by fleeing with the suspect. At this point, police and store staff were able to clearly verify and confirm the events >> cuz now we're going to file this and we got a whole bunch who who saw everything. >> Well, they were all doing it. He went So, I think um Brady got the selection on the speaker. By the time I met up, he had the speaker next to the backpack and then I watched him take it out of the packaging and put it in the backpack. And I think Marshall seen it as well. We can do a statement, right? Yeah, >> I got to head to work. Um, >> yeah, don't worry about it. >> But I just got to get everybody who saw info. >> Okay. >> Was everything recovered or >> Yes. >> Yeah. >> Where' she drop the stuff at? >> Oh, it was a female. >> No, it it was a >> I think it was a female. >> That's a female. I thought it was a dude. Just >> huge. Yeah. >> Serious. >> Look. Oh, wow. That's a female. >> That's a female. >> They must be lesbians. >> It has to be >> or family. I don't know. I look like a dude. >> At first, from my point of view, yes. I could not tell >> and I was not going to keep looking either. >> So, everything was recovered. >> Yeah. >> Where did she ditch the stuff at? >> Right at the uh right at the entrance right there. The guard after she passed off. >> She left. >> She ran right there. >> She dumped the car after all of ran. You got that on >> everything in the bag. Yeah. >> Yeah. >> When I went after her. >> Yeah. We'll get that whole thing. >> I almost got her. >> I got >> Good job. >> 1336. >> And I've got all his stuff here. It's a >> remote start. What is that? >> Everything in there trying to steal. That's all. >> The suspect's identities and the vehicle's license plate were confirmed. Based on this information, another team intercepted the car as it arrived near the suspect's residence. >> Hello. Can you roll the back window down for me? >> All right. Okay. >> Yes. I just came from Walmart. >> Yes, ma'am. You sure did. >> They just tried to attack you. >> You had an officer. >> Yes, ma'am. He just tried to attack me when I took off and he scratched me in Miami. >> Resisting an officer and evading the scene is not how you solve that problem, right? >> Well, I was scared. Like I had six people on me. >> They're doing they're doing um a shoplifting scene. >> I went in there to go get a headlight. I have my doctor. I have a sneaker and I have a pair of boxes that belong to my brother that is in that bag. >> Okay. that was already in the bag when I went to Walmart. >> All right. Do you have your license with you or an ID of some sort? >> No, ma'am. I'm I was going around the corner to go talk to my mom, but I got >> Okay. What's your name? >> I'm on probation. That's why I ran. I got scared cuz I did I before I went to jail and got on probation. I got in trouble for shopping. >> Okay. >> At that Walmart and I was told not to go back, but that's the only Walmart that had my license. I mean, >> the woman went to a location where she knew she was trespassing. Her excuses seemed entirely unconvincing. And shortly afterward, she also had a separate story written. >> In the store, all I did was go straight to the auto. I asked the man if he had the light bulb. He said, "They don't have my light bulb in." I walked out to electronics to see if cuz my phone is broke. >> So, I tried to see if they had a phone like unlocked phone for straight talk. Okay? >> And the lady said they didn't. The only one they had was the 11. And I was car. After that, I went out to uh garden center. whole bunch of people started coming at me, scratching me, pulling on me, and I got scared. So, I I got in the car, okay? And then the officer had his hand on his gun. I got scared. I got in. I'm on probation. I Okay. Well, we made a series of not so wonderful decisions, okay? So, now we're going to have to kind of work it out, okay? And figure out what's going to happen. What's going on? Do y'all know who lives here? Just where you pulled over. >> I pulled over around this corner over here. I live straight up the road. >> Okay. Okay. Yeah. They they were able to get the license plate on the vehicle and that just left your house while you're driving. >> I just got scared. That's all it really was. >> The rest I was just scared. >> Okay. Okay. >> I'm on probation. >> And you said you're on probation for shoplifting? >> No, ma'am. I'm on probation for a DWI. >> CWI. All right. Well, hang tight. I'll be right back. Okay. What is your name, darling? Uh, >> yeah. She didn't have nothing to do with me. I got scared and I told her to drive. >> What's your birthday, Miss Washington? The female suspect surely knew that her actions would cause serious trouble, but in reality, she had no idea that she was also bringing additional problems onto her friend. >> Okay, Victoria. >> All right, I have a question. Can you >> Yes. Can she uh drop my car for my sister and take my car? >> No, ma'am. >> No. Is she going to? >> She didn't have anything to do. >> Yes, ma'am. Because you when the officer >> I'm going to do. Shortly afterward, more stolen items were discovered in their vehicle. >> Okay. >> And she admitted to it. >> Yeah, she admitted to it. I got on BWC. >> What the driver have to say? >> Uh, she said she didn't know what was going on. She was scared. All this other stuff. I got some Walmart Wrangler pants in a bag in here. >> Yeah, they they saw her certain things. It's got to be over over 100. It's going to be a 750. >> Okay. I had like a every time he closes something I think they're hitting up your back seat. Okay, so we got um car freshener red hoodie that it's torn where he grabbed her arm. So >> the passenger >> Yeah. So, I'll take a picture of that where it in the end, the suspect was charged with theft and resisting arrest and the driver was charged with evading arrest detention. Avoiding, resisting, and deliberately withholding information only makes the situation worse. Cooperating with authorities from the beginning is always the safest choice. The next case, this pitiful woman, after committing her crime, tried to use sympathy to escape punishment. Come on, >> arrest me. >> Stop. Turn. >> I don't have nothing. I can't. I don't have anything. >> Turn around. >> On November 17th, 2024, police received a report of a woman shoplifting the Family Dollar. But it didn't stop there. She even brandished a firearm to threaten the staff. When officers approached, she pretended nothing had happened because there was nothing in her bag. >> But I gave him back to him. I was still in, but I gave it back to him. Why you arresting me? >> Stop. Turn around. >> I don't have nothing. >> I don't have anything. >> Turn around. >> I don't got nothing. >> Turn around. >> I don't have nothing. Why aren't you grabbing me? >> Turn around. >> Okay, but I don't have nothing. But why are you grabbing me? I don't have nothing. >> Turn around and you turn. >> I don't have nothing. You just grabbing me. He got it back. I never took nothing out the store. >> I never took nothing out the store. I'm not doing nothing but y'all grabbing me. >> I didn't even do nothing. You just grabbing me >> like you just was grabbing me for nothing. I'm under arrest for nothing. I don't got nothing in my purse. I didn't take anything or nothing. He kept trying to run up on me. Although she was told not to take anything else, she thought that since she had returned everything, she didn't deserve to be treated this way. >> You You have to understand we stepped out. >> Okay, babe. You ain't got to tell him nothing. >> You immediately said I was stealing. >> I know, but I Okay, but I gave it back to him. You feel me? >> How do we know that? >> I swear he took it. I It was nothing but soap powder. >> So, we should just let you go after you commit crime. >> I didn't do nothing. I don't want I just want to go >> take your word that you undid the crime. >> Yeah, I listen. That's not how it works. >> Can I tell y'all this? I had soap powder. He called me with the salt powder. I gave it back to him >> and I left the store. That's all I say. Ain't nothing else. Ain't nothing ain't nothing else in that place. I ain't got to lie. Ain't nothing else. Ain't nothing else. >> Go get my mom now. Go back to the room where I am cuz I ain't I ain't going to jail. I didn't do nothing. >> Like I ain't do [ __ ] like damn. The way y'all's grabbing me, I'm trying to tell like you feel I understand what y'all >> I told you under arrest. You do not pull away. I did, but the way y'all grabbed me, I'm like, >> you were pulling away. >> I'm sorry. I apologize. >> Yes. For future reference, if you are told you're under arrest, stop it. >> But the investigation revealed that the woman's wrongdoing didn't stop there. Her vehicle registration had expired. This made her increasingly fearful of the consequences and finally realize her guilt. >> No. If it leaves the car tow, >> I'm sorry. >> No, I'm saying yes. Can you hold on just one moment? >> I'm confused on what you're saying. He said the tags expired, but I'm asking expired. >> Tags are expired. >> You guys need to go get license for this. >> He It's only been expired for a week of >> It doesn't matter with the temp tag the day >> one day expired. >> Okay, I know y'all. I did some dumb, but we ain't got to be like, you feel me? We ain't got to be like that. >> You guys can't drive that vehicle. >> Okay, I'm going to get the license driver whose vehicle it is. >> You can't drive. >> Yeah, bring the owner here so I can give him a ticket for letting her drive without a license. >> I'm sorry, ma'am. Just one second. Let's get her in the car. >> Why do I got to get in the car? I'm going to jail. >> Okay, >> you're under arrest at this point. Somebody figure out if they want to press charges or not. >> She's >> and she's got warrants. >> Although she felt remorse, her actions only made things harder for the police and her pleas for sympathy were attempts to change the outcome. >> Can you face the cruiser? >> No, I do got a daughter. I know for that and I'm not trying to give y'all no. >> You know, >> so far you've been very uncooperative. Can you face the cruiser >> because I ain't been in jail in a long time. >> That's that's why. Face the cruiser. Cooperate with us and we'll see what we're going to do. >> Thank you. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Sorry. I was about to >> I don't like I I got a daughter and I I listen I I know I don't want to go to jail. >> Cooperate with us. >> Yeah. I don't want to go to jail. >> Let's just take it one step at a time. They're figuring out what's going on. I just arrived on scene. >> Look, I just want to just if I get a ticket, like I just want to go home to my daughter. >> Listen, just be cooperative and we'll figure it out. Okay. >> All right. >> I know. I know what I was I know I was wrong for that. I knew I was >> okay. >> He's running with something means you got to pay consequences. >> Uh, I'm sure they have video in there, but no audio. >> I'm really going to jail. >> I'm going to read you this, Mr. Walker. You're >> going to jail. >> Is that who you are? >> Well, I'm going to jail. >> Are you What did I do that? >> I'm going to read I'm going to read this to you. All right. >> I got a daughter that >> Miss Walker. Miss Walker, >> you have the right to remain silent. Do you understand that? Right. >> What I'm getting arrested for >> at the very minimum theft. >> I will pay for it. I'm going past that point thing in my pocket to go home on my daughter. >> I'm sorry. I don't want to ask. >> Okay, I'm going to read this to you cuz I'm going to ask some questions for you. Okay, we're going to have a conversation. >> Her pleas certainly didn't help her escape punishment. They only made everything more complicated. >> I got a dog. I did not want >> So this >> I please I would do anything. Walker, then let's get through this. >> I can get a ticket, please. I can't do my not food. What was I thinking again? I just wanted to wash my clothes and knew I had money. Like, >> can we get through this or not? >> Please, can I get a chance? >> Can you answer his question? Please stop with the the fake crying. >> I'm not because I ain't been in jail in a long time. I want to let him read you this and you want to go home and all this crap, but you're not letting us do what we have to do. >> Okay. having these all these rights in mind. Do you wish to talk to me now? >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, what happened today? >> Nothing. I don't know what I was thinking. I Something was already winning. I went in there and grabbed some ties. I some some soap powder. I didn't know he was going to see me. I ain't going to lie. I didn't know he was going to see me. And when he seen me, he said, "Can I have my ties back?" I said, "Yeah, you can have your ties back cuz I got money in me." And I that's when I walked out the I gave him my stuff and that's when I just he said, "Get out my store." And that was it. But when asked about threatening the employee, she insisted it was impossible, claiming she couldn't do such a thing. Yet the statements from the employee told a very different story. >> Threaten them with a gun or say you had a gun or you >> already beat up somebody. I ain't threaten him with nothing. >> I'm telling you the honest truth. I know I should never took no ties. I know I should have paid for he asked for them back and I gave them to him. I got a whole daughter that's waiting for me right now. I ain't about to threaten him with no damn >> So why you out here? If you got money, why you out here stealing time? >> Because I thought I was I shouldn't never been doing that. >> I ain't got no gun. I ain't about to do that. I ain't been in trouble in a long time. I know it was done for me even want to goddamn P them ties whatever they is and I got money. >> I ain't about to do that. I ain't about to risk my life for trying to shoot a man for some damn and that's the truth. I'm not as I ever did that. Just want to go home to my daughter. >> Who was the other person you were with? And that was my sister. I told her to go get my mom. >> Where's mom stay at? >> She stay up with her own self press. >> Is that where daughter's at? Where's daughter at? >> With my auntie them today at the competition. >> Yeah, it just they're they're just saying that they told us that you threatened them with a gun. Not that you pulled one out that you said you had one and you pulled out and put it to itself. >> I think about the hell here. >> We We weren't here, right? >> Yeah. >> Okay. We just happened to be across the bank when it started to come in and I can see him waving his flag. So, we had no knowledge of any of that. >> But you know what I mean? >> I just want to go to my daughter and that's it. >> So, all right. Well, we got some things to figure out, okay? And then we'll let you know what's going to happen, okay? >> The woman still tried to draw pity, but those tears were hers alone. Her statements only defended herself and did nothing to resolve the case. Okay. So, you know the only other option to this if you don't want your child staying with your aunt, I'm going to take custody of your child and CSP is going to have to come. Correct. >> Why? Why? >> Because you are being arrested. >> Why? What is going to jail for? >> Why can I get a ticket? >> Because I'm tired of people doing this and everyone's begging for a ticket. >> All these people that that steal and shoplift, they do this. They get they sometimes they don't get caught and then they do it again somewhere else and then the times they get caught then they give this side story about >> I'm not giving I'm not giving no side story but I just don't understand. I really got to go sit in an economy for this. I know it was wrong. I ain't going to lie and say it wasn't wrong but damn y it's better it's better stuff than >> you're owning up because you got caught. >> I never got Listen, I'm not owning up to it. >> I'm only up to it. Why would a man tell me to give him his stuff and then when I walk out the store he want to act like I I was about to him or do some weird stuff? I thought I could get away with it. So, you're telling me >> But you asking me a question. I'm not going to lie to you >> because you got caught. I'm telling you if if you didn't get caught today, you're telling me I'm going to receive a call from you at your house saying, "Hey, I want to own up to to me stealing today." I would have got that call today. >> What? You I'm not good for you. >> If you didn't get caught right now, right? You made it home. You're telling me you're going to sit on your couch later. I feel bad. >> But why would I call Listen, >> because that's what I'm saying. You're only owning up to cuz you got caught. But for real to send me to the county for this and I could understand if I hit the man, disrespect the man, call the man hoes to listen to police. >> Cuz I didn't understand why y'all grabbed me like that. >> You literally said you knew that you were stealing. >> But I didn't I didn't know they was going to grab me the way they grabbed me. I didn't know they was about to do this to me. Not over no ties. I didn't know that people get shot. I didn't know that. I was scared the way y'all grabbed me, y'all. Man, I didn't know that. >> Keep saying people get shot. But guess what would happen to prevent us from having to do that and putting our lives in danger to get in that situation. Just don't break the law. >> The woman was arrested and charged with armed theft and threatening behavior at Family Dollar. Trying to manipulate sympathy and deny responsibility never works. Her attempts only complicated the investigation and ensured she faced consequences. It's a clear reminder that deceit and ignoring the law will catch up with you. Next, meet this stammering woman whose every lie ended up creating a gap for herself. >> Why have handcuffs on? He He just said, "Why you going handcuffs when you just >> Because you're lying. >> I'm my only support system. Like, I do have to go pick up pick up my daughters from school at 4:30 like this." >> On June 13th, 2024, police received a report from a retail store in a busy shopping center about a woman suspected of stealing. When officers closed in, she had no idea she was already trapped between them on the escalator. So, you have to walk back up. >> Yes. >> How are you? >> I'm good. >> I'm talk to you at the bottom. >> How are you? >> Well, for what? out here. >> Uh, we believe you. >> Uh, we believe you stuffed stuff in your purse and walked out of dicks with it. >> No, I have not. No, I have not. So, do do you have me on camera doing that? >> We do. >> Okay. Can you show me? >> We'll get to it. >> Yeah, we have your ID on you. >> Do I have ID on you? >> We don't have to go that far. >> Yes, we do have to go that far because I I have I have a ticket. So, I can show Can you show me on camera that I took something? >> Here's where we're going to start. Do you have an ID on you? >> No, I don't have ID on me. >> Okay. What's your social >> for? For For what? >> I believe you shop. Am I Am I Am I being detained? >> You are. Yes, ma'am. >> What am I being detained for? >> For shoplifting, theft. >> What did I What did I take? >> We don't know yet. We got >> some green items. >> Some green items. >> Nike items. >> No, I have not. >> Okay. Well, you still have to tell me who you are. >> Soon as soon as I walked up, the lady was like, "Oh, um, are you paying for that hat?" I said, "The head that I the head that I walked in here with." >> Okay. >> Why would I be paying for a head that I walked in here with? >> Okay. >> I'm being I'm being pro I'm being profiled for what? She immediately denied any suspicion, but she kept repeating herself, speaking quickly and trying to divert attention to her hat, which only made her look more suspicious. Next, see how she reacted when she was told the police had footage of her on camera. >> In your purse? >> No. >> From that changing room. You're on video of doing it. We're here to ask you. >> I'm on video putting stuff in the change room. Is there social camera in the changing room? >> Not in the change room. Somewhere in there. Somewhere outside. I don't know. I was I was going to say >> don't know the first time. >> That's it. That's exactly what I just said. >> That's exactly what I just said. >> Black male, white tank top. >> Who are you at dicks with today? >> My boyfriend. What's his name? >> Why? >> Slides. Where's he at? >> Why? Oh, >> because we want to talk to him as well. >> For for what? Did he take anything? >> On the phone with him. >> Did he take anything? We're trying to figure out in a minute. >> We're not with him right now. The other >> Hello. >> Hello. Hello. >> Do you have anything in your purse that there shouldn't be? >> No. >> Do you mind if I look? >> No. Do you have anything stuck in your closet? >> No. If if you could show if you could show me on camera. that I took that I that I took anything from out there. Yes, I'm not I'm not I'm not doing that. >> She clearly tried to use her boyfriend as a diversion, making him appear suspicious, but her attempt failed. The woman gradually showed clear signs of non-ooperation, even denying every accusation without any proof. >> What am I being detained for? >> Because it looks like you have stuffed in your shirt. >> I got stuff you got stuffed in your shirt in your bag. >> But you can't tell me. >> Then prove it. Then prove it's and we'll be done. >> You can't you No, you you didn't you didn't tell. You didn't show me. Give me this phone. Give me your phone. You're going to be detained. Do not pull away from me. Give me your bag. >> Why you take them off? This is This is This is wrong. Are we Are we being recorded? Are Are you Are you guys process? We're going to a process. >> Okay. But this is wrong. We're going to go in and verify the cameras right now. You're going to be detained until we're done. >> That's all we're doing. >> Okay. So, why are why are you taking my purse? >> We're not You sit in the back of the car with >> Why do we If you were a male with anything, you don't go back and cruise. >> So, why do I have to sit in the car? >> Cuz we got to go look at the video. Why can't I come get the video video with you? I've I've never I've never been through ever to wear a date. Now, >> we're trying to be real nice with you. I mean, we're not trying to be rude. If you just If there's nothing in that purse last, we're done. We're done. >> I've never been through this situation to wear. >> We're not answering the question. Okay. >> Give me your purse and you're having a seat in the back. >> I'm going to look at the camera. Like I said, there's several ways we can do this. >> Sir, can you not? I'm not Why you Why you grabbing me like that? I'm not grabbing you like anything. >> They Why are y'all taking my purse? You're getting set up here. >> Okay. >> At this point, the police began searching her bag. It became clear that her actions from the start had facilitated the wrongdoing, even though she had aluminum foil to bypass the store's security. >> So, that's that's >> why would you have it in there and I don't understand that? >> Because that's from >> No. >> Yeah. >> Did you pay for these items? >> They're not from the store. So, I was going up there trying to put try to put things together. The lady even seen me >> get back in the car. I'm sorry. I apologize. >> We know you're being nice. I know you're nervous. We're trying to make this easier. >> The lady even seen me take them like >> The lady saw you put these in her purse. >> No, not put Not put in my purse. I >> don't. >> They have you on video putting these in your purse. >> They don't have me on I can promise you they don't have me on video because I brought them in here with me. >> We're going to go and verify that. >> Step out and turn around and put your hands on you. >> I'm going to go in there and see what we got. >> Why are you Why I have handcuffs on He just said, >> "Why you put handcuffs on me?" He just said, >> "Because you're lying, >> sir. I'm not. I promise you. >> Step out here. >> I promise you if if >> just put your hands behind your back. Okay. >> If you if you going out to see the video, you will see that I've not had >> I have a I have my partner in there right now looking at the video and he just said that you're on video placing those items in your purse. >> No, sir. I have not. I promise you. >> Like he said, we would have loved to cut you loose with a summon and gotten you on your way because it's a misdemeanor, >> right? >> But you're lying to me. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Can I please say something? Please, please, please. >> What do you think she would say now? Of course, she had no choice but to admit her actions. Under the pressure from the police and facing overwhelming evidence, she couldn't keep her lies going any longer. >> I apologize. Okay. >> Okay. >> Yes, I took took some things, but all of the things were not from this location to be exact. So once the lady was like, "Oh, uh, are you going to pay for that? Are you going to pay for that sun visor hat?" That's what threw me off of her. That's what made me was like, "Okay, I'm about to I'm about to just leave." So that's um >> Go ahead. >> Where do you want Mason to meet you? >> I'm at the lower parking garage of Dicks off of Blake Street. >> Okay. >> Like I really I I have I have two kids. I have to go get my daughter my daughter's from daycare at 5:30. >> Okay. >> Is your boyfriend here? What what does he drive? No, I made I l I literally tried to make that up as far as the whole >> Well, there was somebody here with you. >> Yeah, but he was the um son of a butcher >> to wait for you. >> No, he left. He was like, "I'm not He said He said, "I'm not." Is >> that who you were on the So, you said you came in here with some of these, but not all of them. Which items did you take? Is it the green stuff? >> The Yeah. Um the the pink The black one, the white one, and the pink one. >> The black one, the white one, and the pink. >> Yeah. Well, yes, this one. the black. This black one and the white one and the pink one. >> Where did these come from? >> These are I was trying to get these. I was trying to match up with some shorts, some shorts from, but I didn't see the colors of the short. >> So, you're not going to be on video putting these in your purse. >> No, they're not they're not going to see me on video putting in my purse. I don't know. I don't know what >> Did you pay for anything in there? >> Did you just walk up to the cash register, saw something, and walk this way? >> No, I was I was I was going to pay for it. I said it was $111, but my car was declined and I asked if they had to have an ATM in there. >> It didn't stop there. Just as the police had accused and she had tried to deny, she now admitted that she still had several other items hidden on her person. >> So like um >> is there items in your shirt right now, too? >> I guess I have one item in my shirt right here on my um on my bra. >> Okay, leave it there. >> Okay. >> I'm going to have a female officer from Mason come here and she's going to help you get that out. Okay. >> Okay. >> I I'm not going to do that with you. All right. >> Okay. >> Don't reach for it. Don't be pulling around. I'm not I'm not doing I'm not doing any of that. >> Okay. Watch your feet. All right. I'm sorry. Nice. What's even more striking is that she came here with the intent to do wrong. And even now, she treated it as if it weren't serious, trying to use her role as a parent to plead with the police for some kind of leniency. >> I'm I'm this is on camera, so I know I'm my only support system. Like, I do have to go pick up pick up my daughters from school at 4:30 like this. >> What school do they go to? >> Nobody nobody to be able to get them at all. Like I I don't like even if even if you guys take me to go get them like I just to make sure they get to where they at. Like I can't >> Who drove you here? >> I caught a um I had caught an Uber here. >> Who were No, you didn't. >> I here with a male. >> Yeah. Yes. Yes. >> That was your Uber? >> No, I met I met him here. I literally met him here. I promise you. And I can I can call him right now. He'll tell you. You can check the cameras on the outside. I did not I met him here. I did meet him here. I did not. That's That's the honest truth. I'm tired of lying. I cuz my my daughters need me like and I I promise you. >> How many daughters do you have? >> I have two. >> How old? >> I have a six-year-old and a three-year-old. >> Okay. >> And they attend Willow or Tree Daycare. I can call the daycare and and so you can you can hear that they're that they're there and they're present. >> Good relationship with your mom. >> My mom she's a flight attendant. >> She's a flight attendant. >> Yes. >> That's pretty cool. >> And she's out of she's out of out of the week. Like I promise you like I'm sorry. I I I apologize. Like this is for even being uncooperative, but I knew I had to get them and I I just didn't want Yeah. Well, difficult. >> Well, you you're making it you made it pretty difficult with the way that you behaved when we first touched. >> I know. Because I thought I was going to go to jail. I swear. I promise. I promise you. I thought that was why I didn't even I didn't even This >> In the end, she was charged with theft and possession of stolen property. Lesson. Trying to lie or shift blame only makes the situation worse. Cooperation and honesty are always the smarter path when facing consequences. Even next, meet this deceitful woman. >> Never left this. never left the store. You didn't? >> No. Okay. >> I stopped it right there. Identified myself. I told her she may have had some items she didn't purchase, like the book. >> And what she say? >> She said, "I'm from a greater power." >> On February 8th, 2021, police received a report from a Costco store about the theft of liquor and several other items committed by a woman. Upon arriving at the scene, police encountered the suspect in the loss prevention office. Hey y'all. >> Hey. >> Hey. >> Hello. >> How you doing, man? >> Good, y'all. >> Good. Good to see you again. >> I know. Look at you. >> Jess was just here. Uh ma'am, this is uh Miss Heaven from the Greater Power. Uh this is my manager Sean, my manager D. She uh left the warehouse, but these items didn't >> I didn't leave the warehouse. >> Can you let them finish first and then I'm going to ask you? >> I call her right at the door there. >> Okay. put these items. This is in her hand and these two in her bag. >> Okay. >> She has several other items in the bag that she concealed that she has not paid for. >> Okay. >> And you could put those on the table. >> Definitely going to press charges. >> Huh? >> We definitely going to press charges. >> Okay. >> What's your name? >> You'll press charges for what? The thing is, did you >> know the law is because I never left your store? >> I never left the store. You going to press charges? >> You said she went out the warehouse. >> No. At the door. >> Huh? Inside. Right here at the door. >> You can stay with me. I'm pull up and take real quick. >> Okay. Never left this. Never left the store. >> You didn't? >> No. I never went out the door. >> Okay. Right there at the door. Okay. >> You got an ID on you, Miss You don't have one on you. Okay. >> So, where's the load? >> Huh? >> What is the loan? >> The loan? What is the loan? Because I didn't leave yet. >> The woman believed it was a misunderstanding because she had not left the store at all. At that point, police attempted to collect her information, but the woman made the process completely complicated. >> You Your first name is Heather. >> Yes. >> Spell that for me. >> H E A B E N. >> And your last name? >> I don't even want to give my last name. >> Oh, I'm here to do an investigation. You got to give me your last name. What's your last name? >> Investigation. >> Shoplifting. >> Okay. And I'm doing the investigation. They pulling the camera. So that's why I'm here. >> Okay. >> What's your birthday? >> Well, when they finish pulling the camera, then >> What is your birthday? >> Can I give you that? >> What's your birthday? >> Once they finish, can I give you that? >> No, cuz right now you're obstructing me from doing my job. What is your birthday? >> How am I? >> Cuz I'm asking you for important information. I need your birthday. >> I'm not trying to make this as difficult. It's simple. >> Officer >> Wilcox. Ashley, I got a business card I can give you. What's your birthday? >> Okay. Once we uh pull hat and and >> so you're refusing to give me your birthday. >> I'm not refusing it with >> Okay. What is your birthday? >> When he come back and say that I wasn't in the camera all that stuff. She >> that really it's irrelevant. Where's your birthday? >> What? >> I just >> It's coming up. >> It's coming up. >> It's coming up soon. >> Okay. Can I give it to you once he once we say okay well you did this >> what's the membership that you used who who membership did you use >> Catherine Smith >> is that your sister >> it's a relative >> you have the membership card in here >> she continued to completely deny any wrongdoing but shortly after a store employee returned and firmly confirmed her unlawful actions >> about this morning discussing the tape when she concealed items and left without paying >> okay the warehouse ma'am. I'm >> I'm listening. Okay. >> One, two was soft, conceal, and leave. >> Okay. >> These got behind shelves, so I couldn't see the concealment, but there's no receipt for I'm still pulling the tape for the rest of the items she took. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> And she just gave the membership card cuz she don't have a membership to the young lady that was sitting right here. So, she's going to She says she purchased those items last week. Date unknown. >> Yeah. And I show you the tape where she can seal this over in the May hard line. >> Okay. And also pick it up in the in the wine section. >> Okay. And she made it all the way to past the checkout. >> No, check out right there at the door where the guy check your card. >> That's not That's not the register. >> Yeah, but right there is not outside of the warehouse. >> But you passed all points of sales. >> Yeah, but it's not at the warehouse. >> She has eggs in there and salmon. All this stuff came from the warehouse. She didn't pay for that. >> Okay. >> But she passed the register. Okay. I'm going show you the tape. Sean, you feel me? Yep. >> I'll show off also take real quick, but stay with us. Okay. >> Can I see? Okay. >> The woman had deceived her own story and everything became clearer when police reviewed the surveillance footage which clearly showed that she had left the store. Here >> you going to see her. Stop here for a second. Ask some kind of dumb question. Then she just consumed on. Good to see you. >> I'm going to show you here. Just give me a second. >> Am I out there yet? I may I may went back too far. >> We didn't go back too far. >> No, that No, that's not >> Start right here. >> I don't even um I don't even see no purchases on this thing. >> So, um >> she got back in that damn dare and started loading that bag. I couldn't see back in the deli, but I got to get in that one. I got to get in that book. >> I know. So when she put them clothes in her bag, >> she going to see right here. She go through the register without paying. >> Yeah. >> Right there. Went right through the register without paying. See? >> Mhm. >> That register. And you going to see her here. >> Go. She going to go to the front end and stop. >> She going to stop right here like she asking a question. See her back there? >> Mhm. >> She right through the race without paying. Well, she going to stop, turn around, adjust the bag. That's me going out right here in front of her so I can get her stopped. See, she asked a question. She asked a question, she stopped. She go to the door. I'mma slow it down for you. I'm >> slow it down. I'mma bring this up big for you. Okay. >> Straight outside. >> With enough evidence to charge the woman. Police promptly took decisive action. >> How? >> All right. How are you? >> Good. >> Okay. Um Heaven. >> Mhm. >> Smith. Okay. What I'm going to need you to do is put your hands behind your back for me. Okay. >> Okay. for you being placed under arrest for shoplifting. We're not going to show you any camera right now. Okay. Thank you. Put your hands I'm going. Put your hands together like you praying. Take the bracelet. No, no, no, no. The bracelet. Can I take the bracelet off? >> We'll take them off for you. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> We'll take them off for >> you. You take this. You guys going to be in big trouble. I'm telling you, you guys going to be in big trouble. >> In the end, the suspect was charged with theft and obstruction. Trying to hide wrongdoing only makes things worse. The truth will inevitably come to light and be dealt with by the law. Next, this deceitful woman still refused to be honest, even when her plan fell apart. >> I don't even know what it will be other than like a fraud type deal. >> All right. Your friend you don't know the last name of. >> No. Sorry, >> man. You're a bad liar. >> On January 11th, 2024, police officers received a report from a Verizon wireless store about a fraudulent purchase involving a woman. When officers approached, she claimed she knew nothing. Let's see how the police figured out what really happened. >> Call out here for like a problem with your account or something like that. Are are you Is it your account that you're trying to open up a phone under? Are you trying to open it up on some >> No, I already have an account. >> Okay. >> But why am I getting called on? So, it it's something to do with the the phone being under somebody else's account that you're opening up and it's like a 20-year-old account. Do you have your ID on you? >> No. What they talking about? >> So, who whose whose name is the account under? >> Mine. >> It's under your name. >> Yes. And this is my phone that the call got sent to. I'm not They just activ. >> Okay. >> That's my only problem. This is my phone. I didn't call in or anything. They said allow. I clicked allow. I've been had the service for a long time. >> Okay. Same phone number and everything. >> Yes. >> Okay. How long have you had Verizon as your carrier? >> Like two years. >> Two years. Okay. Do you have your ID on you? >> Yes. Let me get it up. >> All right. You're good. You don't have to go out there. And things turned even more suspicious when she desperately tried to hide that person's identity. >> Okay. What's your last name? Tour. What's his name? >> Um, John. I don't know. He's my I just met him. He's no friend. >> Okay. >> Look, I just came into town for New Year's. I've been here since New Year. I'm going to go home cuz I'm just had to get I was getting my >> Okay. Okay. >> Didn't you Did you give them ID? >> No, I gave him my phone number and he sent the call to my phone. I literally didn't even make it far. >> I just made it to >> right now. And then I got on the phone with the credit line. She has a hold on my account. So after she sent the code to my phone, she sent the code. I allowed it. Then that was it. She hid the person outside and even hesitated with her own details. It got shadier when she kept checking her phone as if she was contacting her partner outside. >> Okay. What's your social? >> What's up with my social? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Cuz I'm not getting a return on your name. >> Um so I need my social. >> Yeah. Like literally when he sent the code, it said allow or deny. I allowed access to my account. >> Okay. >> And that was the entire story she tried to sell. A version clearly patched together. But moments later, officers uncovered the truth and her little scam finally came to light. >> The only problem that I have is none of the story kind of makes sense as what's going on. Okay. Cuz he's providing a totally different name. >> Right. I was just going to say I hire somebody. I just met him. So we >> you're like having to bring you to the store and stuff. >> Yeah, cuz I lost my car. But my car is down. >> So I got to get around. It's cold outside. It makes sense, but we're not getting the full story, right? The woman was given a chance to be honest, but lies continued to pour out. She didn't even know her friend's name, yet still trusted them with her house keys. >> He wants your mom's number. Do you want him to have your house keys? >> Yeah. >> Okay. What's your relationship with him? >> My friend? >> No, for real. You can't stand it. Yeah. >> You guys live together? >> No. >> All right. Finally, the woman was charged with forgery, possession of a fraudulent ID, obstructing identification, and attempted felony theft. Fraud with fake identities never goes unnoticed. You ran? >> That's because y'all scared me. >> How did we scare you? I just said, "Hey, come in here." >> I ain't right. I stole them and I own up to it if I if I take my accountability, but honestly, they would have told me. They would have told me if I would have stole anything. Honestly, I'm be told. >> The man twisted his statements and argued back in an attempt to downplay the situation. But because of his deliberate attempt to flee, the officers were not convinced at all. >> The Walmart would have walked at you like you stole it. >> That's what he tried to do. That's what he tried to do. He tried to stop you, >> right? >> Yeah. And then you ran. >> I didn't. And I put the bag down and I got scared because I did not know who he was. So, >> if that Walmart worker, how does it make sense that you walked up to them with your stuff, you told them that you had a spark order, >> right? >> And they didn't ask for any proof of it. They just said, "Go." That doesn't make any sense. Why would they do that? >> Ask them, sir. >> You see how it doesn't make no sense? >> You can ask them. >> What happened? >> Talk to them. >> This whole thing is just you lying. >> I'm not lying, sir. >> Okay. >> All right. So, you bullshitting on your name or not? >> No, sir. I'm telling you my real name. >> Supposed to take him out. Put him in the car. >> You got everything you need? >> Yes. >> Right here. Next case, this woman believes she could easily walk away with a heavily loaded backpack. That's why I did it. I I'm not I didn't want to bring the cops along cuz I just tried to do it within myself. On October 30th, police received a call from Costco about a woman committing theft. Upon arriving at the scene, the suspect was attempting to flee, but was quickly stopped by the officers. >> Hey, where you going? >> Sorry. I'm trying to do not out here, but the office you might be with you. >> I'm sorry. I have a personal matter. It's not drugs or anything. My kids involved. That's why I don't want to sit there and have sex with myself. >> What's your first? >> It was clear from the woman's state that she understood what was happening. And using that, the police quickly addressed the matter, leading her to admit her actions. >> I know that they already confronted you from the store. Do you want to tell me anything about what's going on or anything like that? >> That's why I did it. I I'm not I didn't want to bring the cops involved cuz I just tried to do it with it myself cuz I didn't want them to do anything. >> Okay. >> All right. Um both you guys saw it. Yeah, I did. Give me >> I will punch you in the face. >> If you punch me in the face, you will get tased. Put the pot on the ground. Put the pot on the ground. I am not playing with you. >> I noticed. >> I am not playing games with you. And I know >> he needs the pot. You're about to get tased if you will stop. >> I suggest you just call other cops. >> Would you stop? >> I suggest you just call other cops. >> Put your hands behind your back now. >> Why are you doing this? >> Put your hands behind your back. >> Why? >> Are you sure you're about to get tased? >> You told me I wasn't being arrested in there. >> You're about to get tased. >> You told me I was Stop right now. >> Give me the pot. >> You told me I wasn't being arrested in there. >> Keep it clear. >> Why are you threatening to tase me? >> Back up right now. >> I need an answer. >> Everything out of your pockets. You told me I wasn't being taped. >> Clearly, before being escorted out, she was caught with a bag full of stolen items, clutching a potted plant-like treasure and even threatened to attack an officer. Arrogance fit for a self-proclaimed queen of 711. >> Hey, you told me I wasn't being arrested. Why are you threatening to taser? >> Get down the ground right now. >> Here, 61. I got one a taser. She's not cooperating. her. She's sick. Don't taser her. She's sick. >> Put Turn around. Put your hands behind your back. >> Turn around. Put your hands behind your back right now. >> Turn around. Put your hands behind your back. You're going to get tased. >> Turn around. You're going to get tased. >> Either you can work on me or you're going to get tased. >> Yeah. >> Are you going to work on me or not? >> I'm working with you, >> Aisha. The suspect showed no fear, defying every warning. With eyes locked and body tensed as if ready to strike, tension exploded. Officers had no choice but to move in. >> I'm not playing games with you because you're not listening to what I'm telling you to do. >> Why are you threatening? >> Turn around. Put your hands behind your back. >> Turn around. Put your hands behind your back. >> Aisha, listen. Aisha. Aisha. What about >> 66? >> Cut it out now. >> Roll over. I said how was the girl? You have to tase her. >> She's fighting. >> Aisha, cut it out now. >> Turn around. Put your hands behind your back. >> I will turn around. >> I'll turn around now. >> 66201. Aisha, back up now. >> Back up. I got one to 10. Can you get some water in her eyes at least before you drive off? >> Unbelievable. She seemed bulletproof, completely immune to both taser and pepper spray. The one-on-one struggle had officers powerless, forced to call backup. Luckily, she finally gave in or they'd still be wrestling her trouble with police brutality and all type of stuff. >> I gave her so many chances. >> You at least gave us my shoulders. >> Get in car now. >> Your shoulders what? My shoulders are hurting. Get in the car. Put the handcuffs in front of me. >> Get in the car now. My shoulders are hurting. >> I don't care. She had every opportunity to do what I told her to do. Get in the car. In the car now. >> Put the handcuffs in front of me. >> No, I cannot hurting me. >> Get in the car. >> The drama didn't end there. Aisha was finally arrested after repeated defiance. But her aunt kept blaming officers for brutality and spouting religious ramblings, leaving officers shaking their heads. >> Get in the car now. >> In Jesus name. In Jesus name. In Jesus name. In Jesus name. >> Can you stop? Please. Please. >> She need help. >> Well then she should have listened to me. >> I gave her every option I could to >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Ma'am, come here. You have pepper spray all over you. >> You have pepper spray all over you. >> You do what? >> You have pepper spray all over you. >> The Holy Spirit will cover me. >> The Holy Spirit will cover me. >> Jesus is not going to take the pepper spray off. He'll take it away. He's my savior. >> I get that. >> The truth only emerged later when they returned to the store for staff statements. >> I called her, told her what was happening. She called her auntie. So the auntie comes like 10 minutes later, 10 minutes later try to get get her under control. >> Well, at what point did she come behind the counter? >> So she runs back here and grabbed cigarettes. How many does she grab? >> She grabbed these, two of these, and one of these. And then there's a pack right here. Four total. >> Yeah, four total. She goes back from a pack of cigarettes and walks back there and lights lights it on the grill. She put a cigarette on the grill. >> Yeah, it's a lit though. And I was like, "Yo, you got to stop." >> Everyone confirmed she used to work there. Aisha walked in like she still owned the place, singing and spreading items everywhere, then grabbed four packs of cigarettes and lit one on the grill. A smok and fire spectacle no one expected. >> Call your mom and call anybody. And I said to stop now over here trying to fight. >> Get your hands off of her. >> He's over here trying to fight and argue with me and my daughter. >> Don't let it escalate. Please don't escalate it. Don't escalate it. Don't. Please in Jesus name. >> Go in your car. >> Y >> because those people are here you need to respect. >> You're the help. Yeah. What's the problem? can come inside. >> Outside the store, the suspect's relatives argued and shouted, turning the scene into a midnight Florida flea market, where chaos seemed to be the local specialty. >> I don't get the right to have my wife and I'm going to come in. >> Okay. Assistant mad cuz we all together we all from sleep. No. >> I already called Conniey's name. I already called her earlier. She said she was going to sleep. So I was like nobody mess with her and then went ahead and called her and then she said Stephanie mad cuz Stephanie your manager. just me. That's just me. She's just talking to my girl, right? >> Have you What have you been diagnosed with? Do you know? I was diagnosed with um >> that's that's the only thing that's what I was diagnosed with. Also telling me to go see a psychologist. >> Okay. >> Um I haven't been able to find one because I guess my insurance doesn't cover the one that I went to go see. I have to pay for that out of pocket. But >> So you haven't done that yet? >> I haven't gotten a job. Um, >> in the end, Aisha was charged with theft, petty theft from the counter, and resisting law enforcement. She faced the consequences of her reckless actions under the law. No matter any illness or condition, breaking it carries consequences, and excuses will not shield anyone from being held fully responsible. >> Why only had that little bit of stuff? Maybe y'all weren't done. >> No, >> y'all weren't done. You just got caught. >> No. Why would I had that little bit of stuff if somebody pushing me up to see? >> On June 13th, 2025, cops rushed to the Orlando Premium outlets after two women tried their sneaky Nike. They got cuffed fast and that's when their comedy of crime truly began. >> Get on the ground, both of you. Get on the ground. Get on the ground. Get on the ground. Get on the ground. There's one right here. Sorry. Straight ahead. >> Straight ahead. >> Get off your ball. Get off your ball. >> Hand one. S I need your cops. Mine's on the other guy. >> One of the suspects tried to run but was quickly taken down. That's when she started begging to call her family as if they could save her now. >> Do not move. Do not move. You understand? Do not move. >> Can I call my dad? >> Hey, she was texting somebody. >> My daddy? You can look on the thing. >> They're in a black Nissan and Altima. The keys are inside the vehicle. >> Okay. Don't play games. >> I'm not playing. I swear to God. They're inside the car. I swear to God. >> What kind of color of the vehicle? >> It's black. It's It's on It's somewhere down there or somewhere. It's either right here or right there. >> Officers located the black Nissan Alultima nearby, packed with keys and stolen goods. From that moment, the two women's stories started to clash in the most ridiculous way. >> What are you looking for? >> I don't look for nobody. You keep looking out there. I'm not stupid. I can see you peeping around. >> So, who are you looking for? >> What a driver. >> For the driver. >> Cuz it's an Uber driver. >> So, if I give you your phone, you'll be able to pull it up on your phone that it's an Uber driver. >> We had a driver. >> You found him. >> You keep looking. >> I can't see. I can't see over all the other cars. It's all >> What's your friend's name? >> All in the way. Sha >> Shaba. >> I just get here today. >> Oh, me. I met her out here. You met her out here? >> Mhm. >> Okay. So, better question. How did you get out here? >> How did I get out here? >> Family Uber out here. Who Who is she? Friend, family, cousin, sister? >> I just know her on Facebook. >> You just know her on Facebook. So, y'all came here to steal stuff. >> No, no, no, no, not necessarily. It was just the simple fact that I met her up here. >> Okay. So, let me ask you this. Right. >> Y'all were seen walking out of Nike. Obviously, you guys stole, right? So when I was pulling up here, >> I watched both of you. Well, I watched you first start take off running. Then you stopped. Then you tried to hide be behind this car over here. Then I watched her. Well, there was a pick up your She tried to hide behind that. And that's when my sergeant saw her. So what? So y'all decided to run try to hide. >> Took a picture >> not to get caught. I didn't do all. >> Okay. >> When questioned, their online friend story made no sense. The fake Uber, no proof of a ride until one finally admitted they ran and tried to hide the stolen stuff. >> So, whose idea it was to take these things? >> I have one. >> Be honest. >> It wasn't my idea. >> It was your idea. >> It wasn't my idea. >> It wasn't your idea. >> How old are you? >> 20. >> You know, you're too too old to be peer pressured into doing dumb stuff. Especially getting locked up, spending the night in jail with dirty people. You don't look dirty. You don't seem dirty. You don't want to be around nasty people, right? >> No. >> So, how come you're getting peer pressure to steal? So, what she tell you that made you want to >> want to do this? >> Nothing. >> Remember, she she can't listen to what you're saying. She's far away. So, what' she tell you that >> it's what I'm saying is going to get further than just me and you know how. >> So, is she worth your career and your life and your your future? >> I'm not talking about her. >> Okay. So, even if she does find out, but you're protecting yourself. Don't you think she's going to do the same? >> I'm not talking about her. >> Okay. So, what are you worried about? >> I'm not talking about her when I say that. >> What are you worried about? >> I'm not worried. I just not I'm not worried about anything. >> I think you should about yourself. You're 20 years old. >> I am. I'm thinking about myself. I just asked, can I can I just pay for it? I don't want to. >> Well, I'm trying to figure that out. But right now, we still got to do our investigation. You know what I mean? Like right now they're at the stores trying to calculate everything they bought from which stores and how much and they want to press charges the right statements and all that. Okay. >> Under pressure, one suspect finally cracked. She blamed her friend for setting it up then tried to pay her way out, but her story fell apart fast. The officers now suspected something much bigger. >> What do you mean taking stuff? Like >> she was putting stuff in my bag. >> So she was putting her stuff in your bag. >> Where' you put your stuff in your bag, too? Yes, ma'am. >> So, you said you had no particular reason as to why you stole the stuff. >> All right. That's what you told me initially. >> Yeah. >> But in talking to her, >> that don't seem to be the case at all whatsoever. >> What she said. >> So, >> cuz we was just talking about that >> what I just told you. >> Well, I wasn't here when you just talked to him. >> I know, >> right? So, I don't know what exactly what you told him. So, what did you tell him? >> Did you you get he asked me do I be coming like going to get stuff for people? like if if it was a case of or racketeering or anything. I said, "No, cuz I done be in trouble with people and they'll try to put the blame on you." Like you set up there and just did god knows what and >> All right. Well, word around is that you're the one getting the money and telling her what to steal and you're getting paid by somebody else that's higher than you. >> I know. >> I know she >> I wish I was. That'd be cool. But no. So, do you see where my dilemma is now? When you tell me >> I see why you coming off. >> You ain't You ain't had no reason. But you got somebody in the other car flipping the script real quick. >> Listen. Check this out. >> Check it out. >> If that's the case, why only had that little bit of stuff. >> The questioning got tense. When asked who started it, both pointed fingers and denied everything. Cops began to suspect a professional theft ring. Their method was way too organized to be random. No, >> I don't know. That's what I'm trying to figure out. Trying to compare the two stories here. >> No. I can't believe she sat up there and said that. I wish she was right in my face because why would you sit up there? She said I >> And you know her from Facebook. >> I got her stealing from me. >> You know her from Facebook? >> Yes. That's how I met her. >> That's how you met her? >> Yes. Matter of fact, I'm lying. I met her in the Avenues Mall. >> I don't have Facebook. >> Oh, okay. she spoke to me or whatever the case is like that. We exchanged numbers and she started hitting me up from there. >> I can't believe she really just sat up there and told you that. I only I only had a couple of items. So, I'm not quite sure. Like I told him, I get I like I told him, I used to steal heavy back in the days. >> Cool. >> Like back in the days, I used to steal heavy, but it was for me and my kids. I never stole stuff to sell. Like, >> you arrested for that before. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I told him I just back in 2022, I just had to um charge out a sampler. >> The curly-haired suspect finally confessed. She'd stolen before, claiming it was for her kids. A classic excuse using motherhood as a shield, but the mountain of stolen goods in the car told a very different story. >> Okay. So, from what I'm understanding, this car is full of merchandise. >> Is all of it stolen? >> Oh, yes. >> All of it is stolen. >> I would say all of it. No, but probably most of it. Not all of them, but most of them. >> Where is that all from? >> Different stores >> from these outlets right here. >> Yes. >> Okay. Is it all from today? >> Yes. >> Goodness gracious. Today. Okay. >> Officers uncovered piles of stolen merchandise from multiple stores. The two suspects argued, blamed each other, and denied everything, but the evidence left no room for doubt. >> Besides Nike, what other stores did y'all go to? >> Nike and Children's Place. Nike and children's place. >> Yes. >> Did you guys ever separate from each other or were you guys together the whole time in here? >> No, no, no. We like I was going in certain stores, she was going in certain souls. Being in her car I all the time she rides around with merchandise. And I don't even mean to throw her up in these bus. Stop riding around with all that stuff in your cars. In the end, both suspects were charged with grand theft, resisting an officer without violence, possession of an anti-shoplifting device, providing false information, and tampering with evidence. Felony charges that could lead to up to 5 years in prison and thousands in fines. This case was a hard lesson. Crime always looks easy until the cuffs lock. >> A total of 17,000 more than what she should have. >> Oh my gosh. Please. Oh my god. Oh my god. I'm going to be Oh my god. >> On May 15th, 2024, police rushed to the CGFS center after reports of payroll fraud where a trusted accountant allegedly created fake checks and leave records. Here's what happened next. >> So, she paid herself a total of 17,000 more than what she should have. Um, and then this is our fringe and tax liability portion of that. So, it cost us 1,500 bucks on top of that. So, we're looking at 195 in total. And then she has some um company owned assets at home. That total with her 990 of monitors and type of stuff. >> So, she works from home. >> Um occasionally. >> Occasionally she is she currently there or currently here? >> Uh she has been terminated. >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, she's where this is going now. >> Correct. Well, terminated. She's aware's she's aware that we know >> I don't think she knows. We're getting you guys involved. >> Um so that's a total amount. So >> she has really so far not been cooperating. We had scheduled a meeting with her for yesterday afternoon to officially in in person give her the termination. Uh we were going to try to see if we could get her to sign an authorization form to allow us to uh withhold her payroll check which is due this Friday as partial restitution and we've been working with our employment lawyer. Uh he had developed a a cognitive promisory note to see if we could get her to sign that to make restitution. Um we were going to present that with her yesterday. She gusted us. >> In summary, the woman embezzled a total of $119,500 including taxes and even kept $1,000 worth of company equipment. Immediately after the investigation, the police tracked her down and arrested her. >> Hi, Heather. >> Hello. >> I'm officer Sam police. You know what's going on today? >> I I have some idea. I didn't like this. >> Okay. What do you think's going on? It was from payroll. So now >> So I'm going to read you your rights and I'll give you the option to talk to me or not talk to me. Make any statements if you don't want to. Then we'll send you on your way. If not, we'll discuss what's going on. Okay. >> All right. So what's going on? >> I don't know what I'm charged with. I don't know what they're saying. I did. >> Well, what do you think? I'll tell you exactly what I have, but tell me in your mind what you think's going on. >> I paid myself out hours, my vacation hours >> last year. and they just and then there was I didn't a payroll that reversed and that's then then they figured everything out. Although she claimed she knew nothing, the moment she gave her statement, she immediately mentioned the vacation hours, proving she clearly knew what was going on. Even so, the officer still explained everything to her. >> Okay, I'm going to explain everything that's going on. So, right now, what we have is going to be 10 charges. All right. Um, one is tampering with records. How do I Okay, >> because it's through the payroll computer software and it's an official document registered to go through taxes and stuff like that. So, it's going to be that's just how it's written up. All right. That's going to be the highest level charge. It's a felony three. All right. There's going there's going to be there's nine payroll charges you that were done. I'm saying you did, but there were nine payroll charges done over since um October 6th or something, right? Um, and any I think this division of four or five, I can't remember which one's which, but anything over $1,000 is a felony five. Anything under $1,000 was um minor misdemeanor one or misdemeanor one. All right. So, I think I know they're split four and five. Can't remember which way is which. Um I know they're all real close to except for this last one which is pretty big. Um other than that, so they called me today, find out what's going on and talking with them. this is what they uh chose to do. Um so that's why I work here. So since >> her face showed no sign of guilt while the officers explained the situation, it was only when she learned her fate that she finally realized the gravity of it all. >> Well, this is going to happen today. >> You'll be to what's going to happen today is once we're done um this officer here has been driving to the county. You'll be booked into the county. All right? And then next day or two, today's Wednesday. Next day or two, you'll be sent in front of the judge. All right. >> I'm staying in jail for the next 2 days. >> The next day or two? So, you could be arraigned in the morning. >> I'm staying the night in jail >> tonight. Yes, you will. >> They told me when they picked me up that I wasn't. >> That's what's going to happen. >> That's not uh their call. That's kind of fault. >> Yeah. Okay. So, you're going to turn the >> Oh my god. Oh my gosh. Please. Oh my god. Oh my god. I'm going to be Oh my god. >> So, what happens from here is going to be up at a time frame of the county and the judge who gets assigned? All right. >> Oh my god. Do you have anything else to say? Any questions? Anything help answer for you? Think you broke anything? Damn you think and vice versa. Okay. >> Why do I have to stay in jail for something like this? I didn't hurt so much. I mean, this is crazy. I've never been in trouble in my entire life. Why do I have to spend the night in jail for this? I won't do I will come back. I promise. >> I don't. But this is like crazy. >> I'm sorry. You feel that way? Like I like I've never done any anything. I don't Oh my god. >> All right, Heather, unless we have anything further and get you going. Okay. Watch your knees. >> As a result, she was charged with four counts of misdemeanor theft, five counts of grand theft, felony, and one count of tampering with records. This case reminded us trying to hide fraud is quickly exposed and even subtle awareness of wrongdoing leads to inevitable legal consequences.
