OH MY GOD. >> LISA, [screaming] STOP. LISA. LISA. >> OH MY GOD. >> OH MY GOD. >> I will pay it back and I will do everything I can, but I cannot let my mom find out. >> I'll buy it. I'm not too late. Buddy. >> Hey. Hey. Don't you do that. >> Can I please just buy it? >> No. Now you're going to jail for rupture. >> How dumb was that? Some shoplifterss thought they were smart enough to outwit the police with lies or even bribe their way out of trouble. With no real remorse, they were still about to learn a hard lesson from the law. Here are the times when the worst Walmart Karens who think they own the store. Beginning with this theft case where their lies completely fell apart. >> Okay. Well, go ahead and turn around. >> I'm being arrested. They're being detained. >> Four. >> You guys doing this because you need money, you need food, you need I got food. I'm good. My mom's telling me get >> On the 23rd of July, 2021, officers received a call from a shopping mall reporting an active theft in progress. When they arrived, the suspects noticed the officer's presence and quickly fled, prompting an immediate pursuit. >> Hey, no. Hey, no. Nope. Nope. Nope. >> 46. He's running. Run to you. PUT YOUR HANDS UP. PUT YOUR HANDS UP. We get Oh. Oh, you're right downstairs. Where did he go? Which way did he go? Don't you not have a corn entrance. >> The suspects were believed to be a pair. The fleeing suspect was believed to be a man while the woman who stayed behind was taken into custody. >> Okay, I need you to get in the car. >> Three or four? >> Because uh you're suspected. >> Okay. Okay. >> Well, you hold my hotel room. H >> I need to go back to my hotel room. >> Okay. Well, go ahead and turn around. >> I'm being arrested. >> They're being detained >> for >> probably right now. >> Turn around. >> Go ahead and drop them. Okay. Movies run towards Bass Pro right now. mobile and I can still see him. He's in the parking lot in Bass Pro going upstairs. >> It initially seemed as though the man had successfully escaped, but he was still hiding somewhere inside the shopping mall. Just a few minutes later, officers quickly located and apprehended him. He ain't got to show me that light. I ain't chasing you all over the damn mountain. Stop. Okay, officer. I copy that one. >> Get up. >> Get up. Go ahead and lift the air at 1346. Go ahead and lift. >> They caught him. >> Did you see where he left? >> Did you actually see which entrance he went out of? >> No, he >> cuz he went out. >> Yeah, he went toward I lost him right back though. >> That was fast. What did he do? >> Mine's 57. But he's got a bunch of your polo. >> Damn. >> And from you and stuff. We got >> Yeah. >> Oh, good. >> His decision to run only further suggested his consciousness of guilt. Yet, he showed no remorse. Even after being caught, he continued to recklessly deny any involvement. >> Long time no see. >> Why y'all chasing me? Why'd you uh run from me? Why'd you drop all your stuff? >> I need my stuff. >> I got it. Sorry. >> How many razor blades you got over here? >> Whoa. What are What do you have in here? >> Metro precinct 4 unit sending signal 20 24 Mackenzie way accident injuries 14030 Aorn Street. I got two raises off. >> Well, good thing uh about these body cameras cuz I got a clear view of uh you've taken that stuff out of that that uh Allen out of Dillards. That's a bunch of stuff, too. If you have a traffic, >> all right, you're in. >> Get yourself in there. >> Contrary to the man's denial, the loss prevention team confirmed their involvement and verified the severity of the offense. >> Get this stuff out. She ain't had nothing in her bag, so it was all in his bag. Oh, yeah. He got Yeah. So >> they called him at Bass Pro. >> So are they bringing them back around? >> They already here. >> Okay. We got their information yet or >> No, they getting all that stuff right now. We need to find out that ticket. >> Oh my god. >> This obviously didn't belong to us. >> Don't know whatever stuff he might have had in there before. >> This is ours. This is ours. >> Just the polo alone gets to the felony, I believe. >> Oh, yeah. >> All right. That's that's a I don't have the total right now, but that's that's a felony. >> This felony amount. All right. >> They were together. >> Yes, they were together. They were they together put you in the bag. >> But she was great giving him stuff and he was putting in the bag. We got them on footage actually putting stuff in the bag, but he tried to give them the benefit of the doubt that they were probably using it as a shopping bag. >> Mhm. >> So like, okay, well, I just go in the area and I just keep eyes on him, keep him on the camera. He had me on the phone the whole time. you know, he's watching them. So, they go to cash register and they take all stuff out, pay for it. Okay, cool. Cuz they make it past all points of sale. It was obvious they were in here stealing. >> Returning to the woman, she could no longer keep lying. At that point, she finally had to truthfully admit what had happened. >> What What What you guys in here stoming for today? >> I'm in here just looking for a dress for my son's wedding. You're looking for a dress? >> Yes. Okay. What about him? I mean, he always we're always together. So, I mean, >> so you're looking for a dress >> and you guys end up outside of the store with more than >> address. Uh, yeah, you did. >> Okay. Have you ever been arrested before in China County? >> Yes. >> For what? >> Um, one was shot with me when I didn't take anything. What was that? Uh uh actually I was pulled over and it was for something that was I was in a car. >> So >> but your charge ultimately was shot. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. So this is this is not your first shoplift charge. >> Yeah. >> Is there anything >> deeper within the lines that's going on? Do you guys are you guys doing this because you need money? Do you need food? Do you >> No, I got food. I'm good. My mom's house get you had more than a dress in there. I came to the mall to get something to eat. >> Okay. So, first it was you came to get a dress for your for your son's wedding. Now it's getting something to eat. >> Both. I mean, we were going to get something to eat and a dress or look for a dress. >> So, did you eat before you came in the building? >> In the end, the man and the woman were charged with felony grand theft. [snorts] Running away and then denying the obvious did not erase the evidence. [music] Their actions only made the consequences harder to avoid. Next, it wasn't shoplifting, but this mother still caused major trouble at Walmart. >> That I need to discipline my child and that he knows how to act in society and not the way that he hasn't. Did you see her like physically like hit the kid? >> Hear it. You heard it. >> You could hear that's pretty far. >> On the 6th of February 2025, officers were dispatched to Walmart following reports of an altercation. The suspect was believed to be a mother trying to discipline her son, but in an inappropriate way. When officers arrived, tensions were still high. >> Hello. Hi, my name's Officer Mitchell of the Farmington Police Department. Do you guys want to finish or do you want to wait till you get outside? Can I ask what this is about, officer? >> Yeah. So, do you want to do this outside or right now? I mean, I can scan and do this. Like, >> okay. I don't know what they told you. I don't know what you saw. But yes, I did discipline my son by smacking him in the mouth cuz he's being really disrespectful right now. >> Mhm. >> And as I told the other guy that we're just, you know, almost done and we're going to go home. >> Okay. because he's been real mouthy and real disrespectful throughout the total time we were in here. So that was just only the one time and like I told him, he was fine. We're okay. I'm just getting the stuff that we need so we can go home and make dinner cuz this one needs to be in bed by 8:00 so he can wake up early for school tomorrow. >> All right. So, do you want to finish that? We'll talk outside. >> Am I being the same? >> You are. Yep. You are. >> May I reach into my purse and get my cell phone? >> Yeah, go ahead. >> He'll be here soon. He's over at Define Fitness. >> Okay. >> And he's going to pick him up and take him home. >> Okay. Can I ask if this is going to be a 24-hour hold or anything like that? The reason why I asked is cuz I work at the casino and I have to let him know if I'm being detained. >> So, so what I'm going to do is I just want to get your statement and get his statement. All right. So, right now you're just a king. I'm not going to put you in handcuffs for now. If you can save that video footage for us cuz we we'll look at it after we get their statements. Um then it'll go. >> Her family member barely got a chance to speak as she repeatedly talked over him. Once outside, she explained what happened and insisted that what she had done was simply [music] educating. >> Car normal. >> Mhm. >> Everything was fine up until we got into the back. When we got into the back, um, I had gotten after him for saying, "What the?" And he was going to cuss at the end. >> Mhm. >> And so I told him, "No, we don't do that." And it just progressed from there and I took the card. So since he was very upset that I took the card, he um was like, "Well, it's not fair. It's not fair. Give me the card. You said I could push it." And I'm like, "No, we're done. we're we're just getting what we need. And so then um started crying. I was like, "You need to stop. You need to stop crying." >> And I was like, "You're 10 years old. Go over there. Go over there. Go cry over there." And he just kept crying. Follow me. Which, you know, all kids do, right? >> And so I was like, "Okay, well, you need to I was like, Demi, you need to stop." And I was getting pretty frustrated. So I was trying to separate. Then he started talking back saying, "I'm a bad mom. I hate you." And I'm like, you know, the normal kid stuff. So, let me just advise you of your rights cuz I have to ask you specific questions. All right? It doesn't mean you're going to jail or you're in trouble. I just have to ask some questions that pertain to mental health. >> She fully believed in her way of raising her family member even though it made her relative burst into tears. [snorts] She later admitted that it had happened. >> He was trying to push the cart. >> Yeah, he was trying to push the cart and I told him no because he was already getting hurt. When he gets upset, he starts ramming things, start kicking it, which he already did also kick too when we were in the bacon aisle. And I was like, that's enough. >> He kicked the what? >> He kicked the cart. Okay. >> And I was like, that's enough now because he does it when I'm not looking. And I'm like, now that I'm not looking at you, now that I'm looking at you, do it again. >> Mhm. >> And just to kind of like, you need to stop that. And so it's like, okay. And then so we went to the meat aisle and I was like, we need to go get some meat. You need to stop. You're 10 years old. You shouldn't be crying like this. And so then that's when um the manager came and he claimed that that a guest or not guest a customer was also. I was like I got frustrated cuz I was like I know what you mean. I was like you mean customer or do you mean back or not? >> Do you mean customer or do you mean employee? And he's like well it doesn't matter. So then I was already frustrated from him. So I was keeping everything monotoned and I was like I understand your frustration. I appreciate it, but I need to discipline my child in that way. He knows how to act in society and not the way that he has been doing. >> Okay. Where was he at when you smacked him? >> We were at the milker where the employee was standing at. >> Okay. >> Because that's when he started talking back to me and then just literally right in the mouth. >> Was it close or kind of like >> kind of far away? >> The back of your palm or the front? >> Just just the tip of my fingers. >> Okay. Tip of your fingers. Okay. You know, I've heard parents doing that to their kids, but it was only of them either cussing or just acting a fool, right? Was he saying any like cussed words or anything like that? >> Uh, he was about ready to cuz he's got a cousin that does that and she says what the and stuff like that and so I'm trying to break him out of that habit. He only hung out with her once yesterday and that was for like 3 hours and so he repicked it back up. All the other times that I've disciplined him before, it's like, "Okay, we're taking away your tablet, taking away your TV." you know, the gentle parenting stuff. >> The loss prevention office then provided the surveillance footage and witness statements detailing what they had seen during the incident. >> They walk over here. You can see her swing. >> Yeah, she did say it happened, Kyle. So, >> do it again. >> Yeah, it's very very grateful. She She stopped swinging. It took me a few times to get it. >> The person that called it in, did we talk to them yet and see like >> um what kind of >> be kind of saw it >> like what kind of hit was this? Like was it like a smack or was it like >> it was close fist? >> Close fist. >> And multiple people see him. >> When I spoke to her, she said she just did that. But from what I see now, it looks like a kind of looks like she kind of went all the way across. She kind of like >> she swings at him. >> So it keeps doing maybe. >> What did she say? >> She said the kid was pushing the cart and then he was like bad melding at her. >> He's not letting him buy the cart though. >> Yeah. No, when I And you played it from the beginning. He wasn't pushing the cart, but I guess she was trying. He was trying to ask her like, "Let me push the cart." And she said, "No, I'm going to go talk with the RP. I might take this one." >> It turned out the boy was not as troublesome as his mother had claimed. And an employee also gave a clear statement confirming her use of force. >> Can you tell me what happened? So, I kind of heard her yelling at him over by the milk area, and she was just like, "Get in my face, my dary, just get in my face." I don't know what they were arguing about, but all I kept hearing him say was, "I just want the cart. I just want the cart." or go to the car somewhere like that. And then she passed by me and stood right by where the eggs originally are. And then I heard like I was pretending like I was scanning cuz I felt like I needed to like pay attention to what was happening. >> And then next thing you know, I just heard this big like whack. I don't know if he like it was a punch. I don't know if it was a slap. I just know she hated me. >> Okay. >> I stood there and I looked at her and she's like, "You have a problem? What's your issue?" And I said, "No, ma'am. I'm just making sure he's okay. And she's like, "Well, clearly he is." And I said, "Yes, ma'am. He sure is." But I was trying to like see where where she went through the store. >> So, it didn't make it noticeable that I was following her. >> Sorry. I'm like like nervous. >> So, did you you heard it, but did you see >> I didn't actually see the hit, but I just heard the the voice. >> How far do you think you were approximately where you heard it? >> So, when she hit him, it was probably like from here to there. >> Okay. Can you tell me what happened? >> Okay. So I was um so like the butter would be right here and I was walking towards the milk. >> Okay. >> I heard somebody yelling and so I happened to look up just as she full on hit him right in the eye. >> You're her right. >> Mhm. >> Where was he standing up? >> Like right here. So it would have just been like that. >> Okay. >> And she was kind of like she was like this but kind of sideways and he was facing her and there was a Walmart employee like right behind them and she was doing something. She looked at her and she was like what's your problem? or something started yelling at her and I'd never ever I mean I have four children and I've never seen a kid get hit like that. So I like panicked so I called 911. I tried to follow her around the store. I ended up finding her up by the meat. The little boy was yelling at her and he was like, "You do not get to hit me in the face. Like you're a bad mom." And I was just trying to get somebody in here. Like I said, I've never ever ever seen a kid get hit like that. Do you think the mother's method could really be considered education when some of the people at the scene who were mothers themselves showed no sympathy for what she had done? >> Did you see her like physically like hit the kid? >> You could hear it. >> You heard it. >> You could hear it. >> That's a pretty far distance. Right. >> Yeah, it was loud. Honestly, I went home after here and I was like just sick to my stomach. I was like I just started praying on the way home cuz I was like this this is very >> Yeah. After that, the kid kind of just was like, "I don't want to be here. I don't want to I'm just going to walk behind you. I don't want to be seen with you. I just don't want to be around you." Which is very understandable, but his face was right. He was just sniffling and crying. >> Was he crying or anything? >> I took a picture and that's his little face. >> I was like, >> back with the mother, officers confronted her with all the witness statements, making it clear that she had to face the truth. Be honest with me. I've seen the camera footage, witnesses in the area. It wasn't just a little tap on the mouth. >> Well, to me it was cuz I literally just went like I wasn't watching cuz to me I just felt it on the tips of my fingers. That's literally all I felt. So that's why I said tip of my fingers. >> I'm going to be honest with you. All right. So you're going to go to jail tonight for what happened? Okay. That's why we're having dad take the kiddo away cuz I don't like doing that in front of kids. You know, it's a hard situation. Does he have like a special Is he He's autistic with ADHD and epilepsy. We've been managing it for a while now. And I understand that his autism is what's causing this, too. He does take medication. So, that's what's going to happen tonight. Uh there's just there's just a lot of witnesses. I understand that, but this is my kid. I mean, small loss of judgment. I just I like I >> So I do understand if if you kind of like just went over and kind of tapped him on the mouth and nobody heard it, but there's a lot of people that heard you smack him. >> I don't know if it was because like literally I behind and smacked cuz I don't know if that sound came from his mouth like if it was open or anything but literally I just >> He's good. >> Okay. So just go ahead and turn around. There's the trans. It's not Friday so you'll see a judge. We'll let dad know about it. Okay. Okay. But the reason why I need my phone. >> The mother was charged with child abuse. A parent should never let frustration turn into physical violence. [music] When trying to correct a child's behavior, staying calm and using appropriate consequences can prevent a situation from escalating into something far more serious. Next, this shoplifter loses her mind after police catch her. >> I didn't do that on purpose, mister. Please. I've never been arrested in my life. I never been processed in my life, mister. I didn't I swear I didn't do that on purpose. >> On the 15th of June 2024, police received a report of a woman shoplifting at the selfch checkout. A team was dispatched to the parking lot to stop the people accompanying her as they loaded the merchandise into a vehicle. >> Yeah. What's going on? >> Copy this one. It's a light car. >> You push this one for me. >> I'm in between 15 and 16. You going to push this one for me? >> Yeah, I'll push that one. >> All right. Four that up. I just have to come to the floor. >> All right. >> What about that grill? >> That's my >> I got my receipt. So when y'all go in there, y'all can see it. >> Look, that's Look, I just got here. I have no idea what what did >> I So was making me aggress. >> Which one you want me to push? >> This one cuz it's heavier. >> All right. information for all units of >> 44 out of New York. >> The merchandise was then taken back to the loss prevention office where the main suspect was already seated. Suspecting the woman in the white hoodie was also involved, officers tried to gather information from her. >> No, but I think I dropped it. I want to see if he needs it. Yes. What's your social? >> What do you need my social for? >> She said the same thing. So in New Jersey when you seen your social, I want to run you and check you for once. >> Oh, why why you want check for one for? >> I didn't shop with a damn thing. >> Yeah, I didn't. >> We know. We know that. >> So if I got a warrant, no. I don't want y'all to get my sister if I got a warrant and I ain't shoplift. >> Well, you're with your sister who did shoplift. >> That y'all can see we separate. I paid my stuff. That has nothing to do with me. We're trying to figure out right now the stuff that they saw on camera. >> He said he going to pull it up and tell you right now, huh? That's what he's figuring out right now doing the investigation. >> I don't want to get involved in both. No. No. as you are. I don't mean to put you through the other. >> The officer then confirmed that $330 worth of merchandise had not been paid for by the woman in black, while the woman in the white hoodie was allowed to leave after proving she was not involved. The suspect showed no shame and instead begged to be allowed to leave. $329. So you're getting prison under arrest for a shot. >> I didn't do that on purpose, Lisa. >> Please, I've never been arrested in my life. >> I understand that, but right now it's a fourth degree crime, so we have to go. We have >> Please. I I never I never did in my life. >> Don't seem like a bad person. >> No. And honestly, I'll just stand in the way I did it. >> It's unfortunate what happened to that. >> Oh my god. I never >> You'll have your time in court. Tell the judge you got that. >> Really? Do y'all have to do that to me? Please, >> we our hands are tied right now. We don't We have no other choice. >> Still, can I speak to the group? >> It's not up to them right now. >> Am I asking y'all please? I I never >> You're not going to jail. >> I've never did nothing in my life. >> Understand? Come with us. We're going to process you. >> I never had that. I never been process in my life. I didn't I swear I didn't do that on purpose. >> Oh my god. I never >> You can explain when your court date comes. >> I don't want a court date. Please understand. >> Oh, man. I never It's okay. >> No, it's not you. >> You're not going to jail. >> No, but to have that on and to be I swear I didn't try to steal nothing. I didn't. >> But it's $330 worth of >> I didn't I didn't know. I told you when I saw the receipt 116, I'm like, "Oh." >> Her repeated and hesitant statements only made her less credible. [snorts] At that point, the officers were certain of their decision and proceeded with the arrest. >> Oh my god. >> Please, sir. I swear to God. >> I know. Please. I want my family. I don't want my family things. I I swear I didn't try to steal nothing. You don't have to >> go. Oh my god. >> I didn't realize I had. >> She claimed it was a mistake, but that was just her trying to convince herself of it. Even after the officers explained the situation and showed her the footage from the cameras, she still refused to accept what had happened. >> To y'all, I'm not buying it. Like I said, I was standing away when I saw her. I thought and then I open to Evan. If I was trying to find one out >> I just I just watched video and it was pretty clear that some of the items would not I just watch you know that it makes noise and it lights up some of the items over that screen which we're supposed to Yeah. So you you're telling me just just you tell me that you didn't know you didn't scan things, right? >> Right. Just watch what I'm going to watch and then you tell me if you didn't know you didn't scan. Okay. Cuz I I it looks like you knew really well that you know this video watch. >> No, I wouldn't. No, I I'm telling you. Go ahead. Does that look like you tried to scan it? It looked like you faked it. >> Cuz you can tell that the screen didn't blink. >> And so that means that the car didn't go >> and I wasn't and sorry. That's okay. >> And I was and I swear to God I was not dealt. I had like double of those things. Then I put some things over there and I would give it back to the man. He took some. I I swear I I tend not I don't force them. I know. >> Her arguments completely contradicted what the store's footage had recorded. At that point, she accepted the outcome and asked for all the merchandise she had paid for to be refunded, only further confirming that she had not come there simply to shop. >> Groceries or something? >> No, just refund. >> Just refund. >> You guys are you guys able to do you guys need the card? No, probably. I'm not sure. Sometimes I say yes, sometimes they say no. >> What else is in your pocket right here? Put that in. She was charged with fourthderee shoplifting. [snorts] Her changing explanations only made her story less credible, especially when the camera footage directly contradicted her claims. Once the evidence is clear, trying to explain it away only makes the situation worse. Next, this 19-year-old girl was more afraid of being scolded by her mother after. >> That's at the checkout. And that card that you use belongs to my victim. This isn't just one day, a whole bunch of stuff. This was just a few days worth of transactions at different stores. >> On the 16th of October, 2025, police posted images of a 19-year-old suspect accused of stealing an elderly woman's credit card and using it to make fraudulent purchases worth hundreds of dollars, prompting her to turn herself in. Here's what happened at the beginning. >> I saw it on Facebook and Instagram. I didn't even find it myself. I had M [clears throat] people I know in high school and my brothers and my brother's friends all sending me screenshots like, "Oh, is this you? This is you." Like seriously, you're doing this now? Like kind of making me feel very shitty about something that I didn't do. >> Okay. >> And my main thing was just like that the post came up and I like I didn't even do it. >> Okay. >> And I was just like very surprised by it because I wasn't ever but then I kind of saw it and I was like I was kind of wondering. And I was like, why didn't I ever get like contacted about something that I did and then it was like asking to identify me. >> So I was like, I'm just going to get this over with. I'm going to get this out of here. I'm going to go to the sheriff and I'm going to clear this up. >> Right. So, um, the photograph on the Facebook, that's you in there with like the white like camo hoodie or whatever. >> Yes. I had actually my best friend's hoodie on because I was going to get I think I was going to get groceries. I think I was at Walmart. >> The woman believes she was only asked to come to the sheriff's office because of something related to Walmart. unaware that detectives were actually investigating stolen credit cards, a detail they revealed shortly afterward. >> What we are investigating is a credit card that was stolen. Okay. >> Okay. And then that credit card was used at multiple places. >> Okay. >> Um I've done some digging and I got the video surveillance from one of the places where the credit card was used at. >> Okay. >> And that's how we kind of got to this point. >> Okay. >> It's kind of hard to dispute. >> No, I do understand that. >> You understand? when I have video and that. So, if you have something that tells me otherwise, like if you have, you know, a receipt from Walmart with a card that belongs to you or someone that you authorized to use, then we can then that's great. You know what I mean? >> Yeah. >> But I don't have that right now. And so, right now, I just have to go off of what I know or what I have [clears throat] when I gather. Okay. >> Yeah, I completely understand. >> Does that make sense? >> Yeah. >> So, you worked for Palm Nails? >> I do now. Still. >> You do. You still do? Okay. How long have you worked there for? I believe it's I believe around my birthday it was maybe a year I think. >> Okay. So like a year or so. Okay. >> And then we just celebrate this last. >> What do you do at the nail salon? Do you do nails or you like you work at the counter? >> I work at the front desk. I'm literally receptionist. I'm up there doing my homework half the time. >> Okay. So you check out people um that are finished with whatever service they got done at this point. Well, I guess I'll just ask you bluntly. Have you ever have you did you take a credit card that belonged to somebody that someone might have left there? >> No, ma'am. you've never used. >> The only time I have ever had somebody else's credit card in my possession is when they did forget it, but in our system, we are able to look up their name. >> Okay. >> And their phone number does come up. And I did call her and her and her daughter came back and got the card. Other than that, I don't remember her name. I think it was like Maria or something. >> Okay. Was that recently? >> Um, we're in September. I think it was maybe like a month ago. >> A month ago, >> I believe. I'm not 100% sure. I'm sorry. She denied taking someone else's card, but that story had to change when detectives began showing her the images they had obtained. >> I'm going to show you a few pictures that I have. Okay. And you can kind of just tell me. Do you drive a gray SUV? >> Uh, yes. >> Is it the one that's in the parking lot? The Volkswagen one? >> Yes, ma'am. >> Okay. You saw the picture from the Facebook page, right? Of That's the Walmart walking out. >> Yes, ma'am. >> Well, here's the same. This is when the purchase was made. That's you and your jacket. >> Yes, ma'am. >> That's at the checkout. And that card that you used belongs to my victim. >> That card. >> Mhm. So with the technology that >> 20 is that when that was printed out? >> Yeah. This is this is when it was uploaded. So this would have been August 7th. So a little over a month ago. >> Am I able to look back in my pictures? >> Sure. Yeah. Okay. I just didn't want to touch my phone. >> No. Yeah, it's fine. >> So, and the amount of this transaction is the exact amount that was charged on my victim's um bank account. I can promise you I didn't know I had somebody's card if I did. >> Okay. Well, >> but if anything, like I will genuinely, and I'm not saying this or anything, I will like anything that I am accused of, I will like pay the money back if anything, but I don't remember using somebody else's card. And I mean that from the bottom of my heart. And I know like it's hard to believe because of the pictures and everything. >> Do you still have that card then, you think, or >> No, I have my physical card. So, where did that card go then? >> I am not sure. >> She claimed she had used the card without knowing it belonged to someone else, but that was clearly a lie as detectives later pointed out that she had used it more than once. >> Okay. >> So, it wasn't just this one time at Walmart. Okay. So, that card was used by you several times. Does that bring back anything? >> I don't remember using somebody else's card if I did. >> Okay. >> I genuinely don't. I genuinely thought it was my card if anything, but I don't ever remember taking somebody's card from that nail salon. >> When you use your card, you use a Is it a debit card? You put a pin in or is it a credit card? You sign it? >> Uh, I use my debit card, but I never put my pen in. >> You don't ever put a pen in? >> No, I just hit the green. >> So, for these transactions, how do you think that went down? Did you have to sign for it? >> No, >> it it just went through. There was no signature or anything? >> Yes, ma'am. >> How do you think you would have ended up with that card if it's not yours? How do you think you would have ended up with it in your possession? >> Genuinely, I don't know. >> So, again, I want to believe you wholeheartedly. I appreciate you coming here, right? Uh, taking the time to try and clear the air for me, but I have to go off of everything that I have. Right. >> I do understand. >> Right. So, everything that I have gathered all points to you having a card, using it multiple times. It wasn't once or twice. It was more than five times. I can tell you that. >> Okay. at multiple stores. You're on camera there and the exact amount of the transaction that you purchased is what went through my victim's bank account. >> Then if anything, am I able to just pay it back? >> That I don't know. So we have a victim involved, right? And my victim >> Am I able to know who? >> Not. No. And my victim signed a form saying at this point that they would like to prosecute. Maybe they'll change their mind. I don't know. I I I can't make even promises. I have no idea. As the detectives laid out all the evidence, she began to break down. Yet, she still had no intention of taking responsibility, continuing to call it a mistake. Was it a mistake? I mean, everybody makes mistakes. >> I know. I genuinely don't know. My main thing is I can't My mom can't help or I I will get kicked out and then I I have nowhere to go. >> Listen, I understand you're concerned about your mom. At the end of the day, you're 19, right? >> Yes, ma'am. >> So, you don't if you don't want to tell your mom something, you don't have to tell your mom something, right? That's not the case when I'm on every social media. I have people calling me a scumbag and everything. >> Listen, I can talk about that on the back end, okay? >> Like that's my thing. I'm just worried my mom is going to kick me out and then I don't have a like I've asked my friends cuz my mom started to kick me out before because me and her got in really bad arguments. Okay. >> And she's just told me pack a bag and leave for the night. >> Is that maybe why you're scared to come forward? Just if you >> No, it's not that. I promise you it's not that. >> Okay. cuz I would trust that you guys wouldn't just go and tell my mom because I am 19 too. >> It's just the fact that if my mom sees that on there >> on social media and everything, she will just rip me apart and she will kick me out and I don't know what to do at the end of the day of that. >> We're also what we're trying to figure out is how it happened and why it happened though. We know you did it. There's no question about it. >> Okay, I understand that. >> We got you on video. We want to know how you ended up with the card and why you used the card. >> I genuinely thought I was using my card that day. Like, I don't remember all the stores I went to. I'm going to be fully honest. I don't remember the stores. But Wednesday is my payday. So, I had money in my account and everything. I genuinely thought I was using my card that entire day. >> So, this is over a span of multiple days. >> Over multiple days. >> This isn't just one day, a whole bunch of stuff. This was just a few days worth of transactions at different stores. Like Detective Castara said, "We know that you used the car, right? We're just trying to figure out the backstory on why, you know, maybe you were short some money. You needed some extra things. You stole a car. >> Short on any money, but if anything, I will pay it back and I will do everything I can, but I cannot let my mom." >> The total confirmed fraudulent loss exceeded $500. That alone was already serious. But the case didn't end there. The missing credit card was still a major concern. >> Did you think long and hard about where you might have put that card? No, I don't. >> Because the victim might want it back. >> I don't know. I genuinely don't know. >> So, why would you not have it if you think it that it was yours? Why would you still not have it then? If >> Cuz sometimes I'll keep like my card in the back of my phone sometimes or I'll keep it in my back pocket and I have rips in my jeans and I've lost a few debit cards of my own >> and everything. No, genuinely. >> I'm being so genuine right now. I promise you. >> You just happen to have holes that like the card now just disappears. No, I'm being I don't know where it went. Like, I genuinely don't. Do you think you might be able to search your car or search your room and maybe find it? My room is completely clean. I just redid my room. Or maybe look in your purse or a wallet. I don't have I have >> How do you normally carry your cars? Do you have a wallet? Do you have a purse? >> I have a wallet. >> Wallet in the purse. Do you have a purse or No, >> my wallet might just be somewhere in my trunk right now. I'm going to be honest. >> So, you don't even know where your wallet is? [cough] >> It's somewhere [clears throat] in my car. I know that. Who do you bank with? >> Um, >> like do you have a banking account somewhere? Checking account or >> American Express that me and him used to have a shared card with. >> So that's a credit card. American Express is >> Is that a credit card? >> Do you think South States's a bank though? >> When's the last time you like generally like looked in your purse? Well, I know with us females, we kind of throw everything in there every once in a while. We might go through it. >> I haven't looked in a while. >> You think it's possible the card might be in there right now? I could definitely I can get my keys from my friend and I can have you guys walk out with me and look. >> I think we should at least attempt to look for it cuz And Bren, I'm not trying to be an ass or anything. We're just trying to get answers. We're just trying to understand. It's just it's hard to believe that you had this car and it was used a few times. [clears throat] Ultimately, she was arrested and charged with fraudulent use of personal identification of a person 60 or older, fraudulent use of a credit card more than two times within 6 months, and petty theft, using someone else's credit card repeatedly cannot simply be dismissed as a mistake. The evidence eventually revealed a pattern that was far harder to explain away. Next, this man showed no remorse at all, continuously incriminating himself. >> Buddy, put your Hey. Hey, don't you do that. >> Okay. All right. So, that picture that I just took will be sent to all Walmarts everywhere. Um, your information will be in there along with the video today. >> On the 13th of May, 2024, officers approached a man while he was shopping inside Walmart after suspecting him of shoplifting as loss prevention had been watching him throughout the entire process. When confronted, he tried to deny the theft, but it didn't stop there. >> Hey, mother police department. Hey, I hear you might have some property that ain't yours on you that it might look exactly like this. >> Yeah, >> I think I see what he was doing over here. >> All right, go ahead and put that phone up for me, sir. Put the phone up. >> I'm not buy it. I'm not too late. Please, buddy. Put your Hey. Hey. Don't you do that. >> Okay. Okay. >> Don't you do that. >> Can I please just buy it? >> No. Now you're going to jail for obstruction. >> Yeah. How dumb was that? >> We got 1095. >> All right. Thank you. >> All right. Well, >> you're fine. >> We got our own charges now. >> Yeah. >> Shark County. >> All right. >> Oh, yeah. >> No. Call from Clark County Jail. I think there's some type of way starting from me. Yeah. Well, sorry. You wouldn't have done it. >> I don't want those. >> My bad. I was I got the money. >> Then why'd you go to run? >> That means you're guilty right there. >> I ain't never run from the police. >> I never go. >> I won't ever come back. >> Stop this and obstruction. You name it, dude. >> He showed no remorse for what he had done. At this point, each item he had concealed under his clothing was also discovered. >> Yeah, there's no telling what else he's been. >> Wait, you said you'll do a receipt for both of them? >> Yeah, we'll see what he's got. I might have to go grab money outside. >> Okay. Just that thing. Gota. >> Which one you stole? This. >> This? Yeah. >> Okay. things officers. >> You tried to paid for I don't get this is all brand new. It was like >> Okay. >> Hey James, if you want if you want to do a little second little loop around there, make sure there ain't nothing else. >> Huh? >> If you want to do a second little loop, we'll sit here a minute. >> Yeah. >> What is that? >> Those are foil uh blankets that he was on the aisle with. So I don't believe Yeah. >> Oh go you go to court. Are you selling the shirts? >> The value of his stolen merchandise was then confirmed. Although the amount was not significant, another discovery by the officer made the situation much more serious. >> This is awesome. >> So, you got your those are the emergency blankets. >> The 20k that's going to be this probably. Yeah. >> Uh deep weed, >> which is >> that's going to be this one. And so site merch. For some reason, this is registered as site merch. >> Yeah, that's what we Okay. What's the total on it? Do I have it on here? >> Sub total is >> Is it that 78 right there? >> 7267 is what we go by. >> 7267. Okay. Whatever. >> Please, let me just buy those. >> Go ahead. >> Good thing is he doesn't look very fast. >> Go ahead. >> I'm not. >> He tried to run with me and Cameron like like this close to him. >> Cameron about slamming him on the ground. >> Give me a citation. >> Turn that way. >> Those aren't very good running shoes either. >> No. That's it. >> Officer, >> dude, stop asking me, please. You're not nothing. >> What is he asking? >> He just wants a citation. >> No, you're going to jail. >> I guess you try to steal that, too. Huh? >> Everything decisions get done. >> I'm getting this, which are apparently his, but they just look brand new, you know. >> You also have a warrant. So, >> I have a warrant. He still showed no remorse at all. And that attitude also left the loss prevention employee visibly uneasy. >> No, I bought Why would you buy one and then come steal one from me? >> Yeah, they're rusted. They're not mine. >> Okay. Uh what about these? I don't >> just like if you had a time to just in your life decide I want to be honest with people about things that I've done wrong. If this was your one time, why don't you just admit to what you take? >> This is Brandon, too. says, "I've got the camera. I'm going to review it and it's going to go to the judge." >> The video will go to the judge. All this. So, if these done with you and then the camera shows you leave with these and then the judge sees you left with these, but then I got you on camera taking them. What's he going to look at you with? >> So, are these mine? >> I I bought those in my pocket. I promise. >> This looks dirty. So, I don't think that's okay. >> That might go to that thing. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> That's all the stuff. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> Do you need him for anything else? Uh, we got a bar in. >> Okay, here's that bar >> for this property for a period of two years here. It's no longer allowed at Walmart on the side of town. Uh, your picture, you see that one shot up on the the wall right there? See it? All right. So, that picture that I just took will be sent to all Walmarts everywhere. Um, your information will be in there along with the video today. Again, you'll get charged with trespassing. You come here, you'll be charged with trespass. That means if I see that you standing on the corner over there in front of Golden Sign, I can call police for the trespass. >> He was escorted outside shortly afterward, but the mystery surrounding him was far from over as officers continued searching for more evidence that could incriminate him. >> Why? We didn't find, right? >> Hey ladies, you're pretty good. I just got to get in on you. You didn't flash them. >> I got a uh a belly uh thing with a flashlight in it. >> A belly thing. >> Yeah. >> Right here. >> My dope little >> Oh, no. Cut straw. >> Where's your cupc? >> No, it's not. Where's your >> uh my buddy's right there with that white truck. >> Okay. That car cuz I'm going to go search for >> Okay. Well, you have paraphernalia on. You got to have a car. >> Real quick. I got to get some gloves on. >> Didn't tell me about the straw in there and I ain't trying to get >> like I said he was set on >> Okay. Probably 27. >> You uh >> Yeah, they said that he had >> he had a little little cut straw. >> You do? >> No, I mean the only thing that I do is I smoke a little marijuana. The stuff you get from >> I'm not worried about little marijuana, man. >> He had he had a little cut straw on him. Um, so usually that's either or uh >> I've seen it sometimes focus. So that's not what I'm concerned about right now. Okay. So >> real quick. >> Uh, no. You go right ahead, man. >> All right, man. Time to clean. Do you have anything that does not need to make it in this jail on you? Guns, drugs, knives, anything like that. If you make it in there with drugs, you know that's another felony to charge, right? >> All right. >> He was charged with theft by shoplifting, obstruction of an officer, and possession of drugrelated objects. Trying to turn a minor shoplifting incident into a bigger legal problem by running from police only made things worse. His decision to resist cooperation also exposed him to additional consequences beyond the original theft. Before moving on to the next thief, let's check out this crazy woman to switch things up a bit. >> May I please see your license and insurance on this car, please? >> Um, can I see the guidelines, >> Lisa? [screaming] Oh my god. Get this off of me. Oh my god. >> On the 26th of May 2026, police pulled over a vehicle for having no front license plate and an obstructed rear plate. The driver was identified as Lisa, the owner of the Trump themed apparel store, Trump Truth Store. The officers had no idea that what happened next would turn into a nightmare. Hello. Stay in the car. The reason I pulled you over is you can't have your license plate like that and you don't have a front plate. Do you have your license and insurance? >> No. >> Okay. Do you have an ID? >> No. >> Okay. What's your name? >> I don't know, but I'm recording this because seem pretty rude. >> Okay. >> All right. Okay. Why can't I have my license plate like that? I've been pulled over so many times. We only have one kind. >> Number one, you don't you don't have a front license plate. Number two, your license plate is bent. >> Yeah. Okay. >> Yeah. So, it's a violation either way of improper display registration plate. Can may I please see your license and insurance on this car, please? Um, can it I see the guidelines where it says your license plate can is is not on. Right. >> So, you need to have one affixed to the front of the car and one a fixed to the rear of the car. >> How come? Like I've been pulled over millions of times and no one's ever said that. >> Well, you're in Carpentersville, ma'am. >> So, do you have your license? >> Different rules. >> Okay. Do you have your license and insurance? >> Is this private? I mean, can you really pull me over here? This isn't a parking lot. >> Okay. Do you have your license and insurance? >> I'm asking you a question. Can you really pull me over? How many times do I have to ask you for your license? So, are you refusing to ID yourself? >> This is not a parking lot. This road that you were driving on, >> it's public road, by the way. But >> keep going. >> What is your problem? >> Okay. I need to see your license and insurance. This is the fifth time I've asked you. >> I'm asking questions. That's all I'm doing. You're wasting my time. I get to waste your time. >> Okay. >> Okay, >> that's fine. Are you refusing to ID yourself? That's all I need. >> I don't have a driver's license with me. >> Okay. From her attitude, it was clear that she had no intention of cooperating. Things became even more tense when the officer discovered that there was also an active warrant for her arrest. Hey, Lisa, I hate to bear the bad news. You have a warrant for your arrest out of DuPage County. Okay? They hold a valid warrant with no bond. Okay? So, I do need you to step out. You will be placed under arrest. Okay? So, at this point in time, you are under arrest. So, please just comply with us. I'd like you to step out. You're going to be handcuffed. One of these fe nice female officers. Okay? So, you are under arrest for a warrant. Okay? So, please step out. >> I've never got any information on it. >> Okay. Well, Dupage just holds a valid warrant. Okay. So, please step out of the car. Okay. >> For what? >> So, I will have to say by policy if you do not step out of the car, we will use force. Okay. So, please just step out of the car so I can place you under arrest. Okay. So, you are under arrest at this point. >> And then what happens now? >> Uh, you're going to go down to Dupage County. >> Are you freaking kidding? >> Yeah. So, please step out of the car. Okay. Dupe and then I'm going to be in a jail cell. >> I don't know. I'm not This is not Dupe. This is Kane. Please step out of the car. I'm begging you. Please step out of the car. >> I can't. I have to lock up my car. >> Okay, we will lock it up. But right now, I need you to step out of the car. >> I need you to step Lisa. >> I'm getting my money. >> Okay. >> You don't need your money either. >> Well, >> there's no It's a no bond warrant. You're not going to have Okay. >> Was she pulling out the money to bribe the officer or simply to post bail for herself? She clearly didn't feel like she had done anything wrong. Even after being handcuffed, she began making the situation much more intense. >> I'm sorry now. >> Okay. Can one of you guys search her, please? I'll take >> Oh my god. >> Are you okay? >> What did I do? >> Are you okay if one of the officers parks your car in illegal parking spot? >> Cuz this is not a legal parking spot. That's fine. Yeah. >> Okay. >> Do you need your wallet? Do you have your wallet? >> Kidding me? This hurts. >> All right. >> This hurts, dude. I have done nothing to break a law. >> Okay. Well, I don't know what the bullets are. >> I can you see? I can fit a whole finger. You see this? >> I can do anything. >> Okay. All right. >> All right. Lisa, this officer is going to do a search. >> I can't wait for this to go on the media. >> Bull. Oh my god. Thising hurts. Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me right now? >> Hey, can you find the I'm on the top right now. >> Stop. >> Get this thing off of me. Oh my god. Thising hurts, >> Lisa. Thising hurts. >> Well, Lisa, you're >> No, I'm not doing anything. I need you to relax. >> Oh my god. Lisa, >> get this thing off of me. You have no idea what this feels like. >> Okay, just search it right now. >> Get the sheriff. I want the sheriff on right now. This better be recorded. All of this. >> This is recorded. >> Can you get that type? >> No, I've tried that before and there was and the videos all of a sudden went away. >> It's recorded. >> Yeah, right. They did go away. >> It's recorded. >> Once we get >> Hey, Lisa. Lisa, once we get to the police department, >> you can have the handcuffs. >> [ __ ] hurt. Lisa, you're the one. >> No, I am not doing anything. It hurts right now. >> Stop tensing up. Okay, >> I'm not even moving. >> Yeah, you just move. >> OH MY GOD. >> OH MY GOD. Get this THING OFF OF ME. >> LISA, RELAX. >> I SWEAR TO GOD, it hurts. Lisa, stop. >> Are you [ __ ] kidding me? I am not driving an hour like this. She deliberately made the situation more difficult, portraying herself as the victim while coming up with one ridiculous excuse after another. >> Yeah. Get this off of me. Oh my god. I don't give a [ __ ] Get this thing loose. Get it loose right now. I swear to God. I swear to God. I willing the [ __ ] out of you. Oh my god. >> Oh my god. >> Good. What the is wrong with you people? >> Okay, >> this is what youing do for [ __ ] money. >> Okay, >> you guys are up. >> PLEASE SIT DOWN. >> PLEASE SIT DOWN. >> Oh my god. >> Please sit down. >> OH MY GOD. >> OH MY GOD. OH MY GOD. OH MY GOD. [screaming] >> THANK YOU FOR SITTING DOWN. >> Oh my god. IT HURTS SO BAD. >> [screaming] >> OH my god. What the Oh my god. OH MY GOD. [screaming] OH MY GOD. I am not [ __ ] kidding with you guys. Oh my god. Oh my Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. What is wrong with you? I can't even breathe in here. Can you open the door? Oh my god. Oh my god, IT'S SO [screaming] HOT IN HERE. Oh my god. Oh my god, it's so hot in here. [screaming] OH MY GOD. WHAT THE [ __ ] is wrong with you? Oh my god. I am noting kidding. Oh my god. [laughter] >> Okay. Hey, Lisa. >> I can't breathe in here. IT'S SO HOT. OKAY. >> Are youing kidding me? It's so hot in here. >> In reality, the handcuffs were not even that tight. She was trying to get them off but couldn't. So she continued complaining about them. >> Yeah, we could fine. Okay, the door's open now. >> What is wrong with you people? >> Oh my god. Oh my god. >> We're not doing this. Okay. >> Ready to fall off. Oh my god. Oh my god. >> Stop. >> I Why did you put THESE ON SO TIGHT? WHAT IS WRONG with you? >> Okay, just lock the car. >> We're done. Lock the car. Lock the car. >> Just go. Just go. JUST GO. GET ME OUT OF HERE. OH my god. Just All you have to do is turn it three times. OH MY GOD. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, please put these things out. Please, please. I can't believe this. You guys are, man. Oh my god. Oh my god. Please go. Please go. I can't take this pain. >> We're locking your car right now. We're locking your car. Please. Please. We're locking your car. >> Please go. Please go. >> Okay, we're going. >> Jake, what do you do with the car? Can you car No. >> Oh my god. >> How do you lock the trunk? >> I am not making this up. >> Hey. Hey, Lisa. How do you lock the trunk? You wanted to lock your trunk. >> I just press the button. Lock it. I don't give a [ __ ] >> Which button is it? The right one or left? >> There's no button that works on my car. I don't have [ __ ] time to do [ __ ] >> Okay, fine. Despite her erratic behavior, the officers still tried to calm her down and continued explaining why she was being arrested. But it was clear that she had no intention of accepting it. >> Nothing. >> We have you have a thing wrong. >> You have a warrant out of DuPage County. >> I don't give a whating they did. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. >> [sighs] >> So, just so you know, when we get back, we're going to uncuff you and we're the girls have to search you again and then you're going to we're going to take a booking photo and then you're going to go to DuPage County. Okay. >> Oh my god, this is beautiful again. >> Yes. >> Once you do get here, >> once you get uh uh so once we go back to the police department, you'll we'll take we'll search you again and then take the handcuffs off. >> I get a phone call there. >> Yes. And then you have to go to DuPage County. So, we're in Kane County. I don't know how Dupage County does things. Okay. >> I have no idea what the hell this is about. >> So, DuPage said that they have a warrant with no bond. So, >> I Well, why don't they share the war news with me? >> I don't I like I said, we're Kane County, ma'am. I'm sorry. >> Why don't they come to my house? Why don't they come to my store if I have such aing [ __ ] warrant? >> In the end, Lisa was charged with driving without insurance and driving on a suspended license. Sometimes refusing to accept the consequences only makes a situation worse. Her repeated complaints and resistance escalated the encounter instead of helping her. Next, the escape after the shoplifting only made the situation far worse. >> Huh? >> I'm cuffed up. What can I do? >> I got a gunshot wound right here. Look at this. What can I do? On the 16th of July 2024, police received a report from a metro market about a 29 years old woman named Alashia. She had filled her shopping cart with merchandise, but things were far from simple when she paid for only a small portion of it. When a loss prevention officer tried to stop her and hold onto the cart, she struggled, ran into the parking garage, loaded the stolen groceries into her Ford Fusion, and fled the scene. Moments after the report came in, a tense police pursuit began. Let's go. All right, it's going to be going westbound capital. Just struck a struck a truck. Still going westbound capital. Vehicle's disabled. Send up for a highrisisk stop. Wisconsin axray all good 3140. A XL 3140. Turn off the car. TURN OFF THE CAR. TURN OFF THE CAR. Get back. Back up. Back up your score. Back up your car. Back it up. Turn off the car. We got an uncooperative driver >> now listening to us. I don't know if you want to get someone to shut down eastbound traffic on capital. >> 920. >> PUT YOUR HANDS UP. >> HANDS UP. OUT OF THE CAR. >> IT could be said that the situation escalated dramatically when officers realized there wasn't just a woman inside the vehicle. The driver was identified as a man named John. And there was also another passenger who never should have been there. >> HANDS UP SLOWLY. Put Put your daughter down in the car. PUT >> I YOU WILL NOT GET SHOT. Listen to us. Listen to us, sir. Listen to me. Listen to me. YOU'LL BE FINE. JUST listen to me. Put Just listen to Okay. I get you're scared. I get you're scared. Please lay lay down on the ground. That's fine. Lay down on the ground. >> Who else is in the car? Who else is in the car? Who else is in the car, sir? >> A friend. >> Okay, have them listen to us and step out of the vehicle. >> Okay, I I need you to stay right there. Okay, you can hold on to your daughter. That's fine. Stay right there. There's only one person in the car. >> I don't know if you want to get >> Only one person in the car. Is there only one person left in the car? Okay. Have them step out slowly, please. >> Have them step out slowly. Tell the passenger to exit the vehicle slowly. No one's going to get hurt. We just need people to listen. John, just stay se stay on the ground. >> Ma'am, just listen to the female officer. Okay, just turn around slowly. John, I need you to listen to me, okay? Can you have the daughter go? >> The man clung tightly to his loved one, ignoring repeated orders to place her down and move toward officers, almost as if she were a shield protecting him. As soon as they got close enough, officers quickly stepped in to ensure her safety. She'll be sitting next to me. >> No, no, just let her down. If I let her go, she'll fall. If I let her daddy's right here, >> Daddy right here. >> You don't know. >> Something I got. >> I know. I know. I know. >> All I got from a gunshot. I got >> Oh my god. All I did was come pick a retail stuff in the trash. I know. >> Can you at least bring it here? >> Okay. Okay. >> All I did was pick somebody up. I didn't go in the store. Let me search. You don't have anything. >> No. Nothing. Okay. Okay. >> Nothing, bro. Nothing. >> This is chaos for all of us. All right. We don't want to be separating kids from parents. That's your daughter. Right here. Yes. >> That's all I have. >> We'll have her say We'll have her talk to you here in a minute. Okay. We still got to talk to her, too. She's not listening to us. All right, >> Philly be right next to me. Can Philly sitting next to me? So she going to be so scared. I'm cuffed up. What can I do? >> I got a gunshot wound right here. Look at this. What can I do? I can't do nothing. I can't run. Nothing. >> Just sit in the car. We still We got to get her back here. >> I know y'all going to take me from her, but it's like, can I listen? Say my goodbyes. I'm going to be >> Yes. Well, bring her back over here, John. >> We still got one person here that we got to get. >> Look, she's scared. Shortly afterward, the woman finally emerged, and at that point, everything seemed certain. Officers placed her in handcuffs while she shamelessly begged for sympathy. >> Hands up. >> Turn face the other way. Place your hands behind your back. I know you weren't driving, but you're involved in a retail theft at Metro Market and you crashed into an innocent person. >> Okay, come back. >> I didn't drive. >> Are you under the influence of anything? >> No, I was never driving. I promise you I wasn't driving. I asked him to stop. >> Hey, White Fish Bay Squad. >> I asked him to stop. >> It's unlocked. I asked him to stop. I said, "Just stop." He said, "No, I can't get in trouble with the police." >> Okay. Okay. Okay. You don't have anything on you? >> No. >> Okay. Okay. All right. There's nothing. Okay. All right. You going to get searched again? >> I want to eat. >> Okay. >> Who is Who is John to? >> I asked him to. I just asked him to stop him. >> Whose child is that? >> He wouldn't stop. >> Is that John's kid? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Are Do you have any relationship to the child? >> No. >> Okay. Can you step up there for me? >> Whose car is that? >> It's whose >> Whose car is it? John. Okay. Stop. >> Okay. Okay. >> I'm only 18. >> Okay. Okay. >> I know you're scared. Okay. >> You're going to be okay, though. All right. You're going to be fine. I know no one wants a gun pointed out. I don't even know who you are. Do you have any warrants? Do you have anything outstanding? Okay. >> Okay. It's me. >> And that's John's car. >> Okay. Okay. >> Shortly afterward, an officer arrived at the store and began gathering more details about the suspect's actions through a statement from the store employee. >> Well, what did you see? What did they take? What happened? >> Okay. So, as I was checking out on the on the register, >> I noticed Thank you. I noticed her come upstairs and she went around towards the pharmacy. Now, she already has stuff in her car. Mhm. >> Now, I didn't see the bags, but then when I got done with all the people by the liquor register, I told my employee, "Can you take the money out the register?" She said, "Yes, so I can go watch her." >> But then when I seen her, she had stuff in the bags already. >> Okay. What kind of What kind of bags? >> Uh, Metro bags. >> Okay. >> So, then I asked her for a receipt. I even cuz she like, "Oh, well, let me show you my receipt." >> I'm just going to continue on checking. I already know she went to the bank. I just want at the end of the night I'm just trying to that's all I'm trying to do. >> Okay. >> And so I told her just show me your receipt and you can leave. I don't want to have to call the police. I don't have to go through this whole process. Just show me the receipt or just give me the stuff back. I'm like now she get to yelling and stuff like that. Now she did check out some food or whatever on her food stamp card. Door's already locked. She unlocked the door. >> Mhm. >> Upstairs. >> Yes. Okay. >> So now that's when I go out after I grab the cart. Nothing touched her. Nothing grabbed her. I grabbed the cart. She pinned me up against the thing. I'm not hurt. Feel a little hurt, but whatever. >> Mhm. >> Took off running down the um down a parking straw. She complete full circle. Some guy in a red car uh the quar said, >> picked her up. >> Okay. >> They stopped by in front of mom's pizza that way. >> Mhm. >> They loaded the stuff up. >> Okay. So, did did she get away with the car? >> Yes. The woman was charged with retail theft, resisting an officer, and two outstanding warrants. And Jon was charged with fleeing and eluding, hit and run of an attended vehicle, retail theft as party to a crime, and neglecting a child. A parent's responsibility is to protect a child, not place them in the middle of danger. What started as a theft quickly escalated into a police confrontation, leaving an innocent child exposed to fear and chaos that never should have happened. Next, let's move on to this chaos that didn't involve shoplifterss. Just to change the vibes a little. >> Who is Hey, is there another sergeant? >> No, >> there's not. >> Can you step out of the vehicle, ma'am? >> Come on. >> Whoa. >> Come on. Quick. You're under arrest. >> We're low. >> Get on the ground. >> Ow. Ow. We're low. >> On the 13th of October, 2025, police were dispatched to a parking lot after receiving reports of a vehicle parked in a no parking zone with stolen registration tabs attached to plates that had expired in 2021. But behind that, even more suspicious signs remained. Here was what happened when police arrived at the scene. >> Sergeant, go forth. Can police, you know, you've been audio and video recorded. You know, you were parked in a parking zone. >> It Well, my friend had to go and get pulled up because >> Okay. >> And I live here, the apartments. So, >> okay. When What unit do you live in? >> Okay. You know, the tabs on there don't belong to this car either. No, it was in his car. So, no matter what you show, >> it expired in 2021. And there's tabs that don't go on the front. >> Come back. >> You're in the driver's seat. >> I just in case I have to push it out of the way. >> Okay. >> But you're in the driver's seat. >> So, you're possessing the car, right? And it's your responsibility as a possessor. >> I don't know. Cuz there's my this other car part and I worry because I can move it. I have to push it. >> Okay. >> So I push the car. >> What you got in that box there? >> Okay. >> What? >> I said okay. >> That's a weird response to a box is sitting right next to you. >> Can you step out here for me? >> Did I do something wrong? >> 42. Can I have a second, please? >> Can you step out of the car, please? >> Yeah. Did I do something wrong? >> You have a lighter in your hand. There's a box there. There's a jar right there. Um, consistent with possible drug paraphernalia. You have tabs not belonging to the car. Car is not registered to you. Uh, you're associated to a unit. Drugs are known to come to and from. >> Faced with the suspicions raised by police, the woman could not deny anything. And for refusing to get out of the car, she had her reason for it. >> You're refusing to step out. >> I'm saying what did I do wrong? I just listed off all the things and we have a signed trespass agreement here. >> Okay. >> Yo, what? >> Signed trespass agreement with the property. >> Yeah, but I live here. >> Okay. >> So, and I'm waiting ready to come back. >> Okay. I just listed about six reasons why I would like you to step out of the car. And you didn't listen to one of them. >> I did listen to them, but I didn't break any laws by sitting here. >> Okay. You know what, Terry? A reasonable suspicion is. It means it's not quite probable cause, but I have reasons to believe that crime is a foot. So, you think I'm coming in here? Why am I sitting here? >> I believe there's possibly drug paraphernalia in this car. Yes. >> And where do you where where where would you leave that? >> I'm not I'm not going to do this. Are you willing to step out or No, >> I'm asking where would I where >> I've asked you to step out about five times. >> I have a lighter in my hand. I smoke cigarettes. I'm allowed to have a lighter. >> Okay. >> I'm allowed to have a lighter, right? I'm over 21. >> Sure. >> And I'm allowed to smoke cigarettes, right? >> Sure. >> So, why wouldn't I have a lighter? >> Okay. Right. >> I didn't do anything. I'm waiting for him to come back. The car is overheating. I'm waiting him to come back. Only can push it. So, >> okay. Well, this car is not going anywhere. >> I'm here to push it. >> Okay. Well, has tabs not belonging to me. Step out of the car, please. This is number six time I've asked you. >> What does that mean? >> You're going to exit the car. Exit the car. Exit the car. >> Okay. He's telling me >> exit the car. The tabs on here don't belong to this car. >> No, this is Hold on. This >> You need to step out or I'll pull you out. You need to step out. >> Hold on. I'm You need to know what we're saying. Step out. >> Okay. Don't Don't >> We won't if you step out. >> Okay. Don't touch me, please. >> It could be said that beyond six orders for the woman to get out of the car, police had also explained their suspicions many times, but she paid no attention and kept acting innocent to make things harder for officers. >> And what did I do wrong? >> I've already explained it all. >> What did you explain to me? I'm trying to get my shoe. Obviously, it's a foot. >> Okay. >> What did I do by sitting there? >> He's not telling me what I did and you guys put your hands on me. Is there a sergeant? >> Yeah, he's a sergeant. >> Who is? Okay. Is there another sergeant? >> No, >> there's not. >> Can you step out of the vehicle, ma'am? Listen, if you just complied, everything would be good. We would talk. >> Obviously, I'm pushing my shoe forward. So, I got like my shoe on. >> Ow. >> Okay. My shoe. >> How about this? If you step out, I will grab your shoes. Okay. >> I got >> You got it. Okay. Step out. Come on. >> Don't Don't pull on me. >> I'm I'm trying to get you out of the car nicely, but you're not doing But you're not giving me a reason. >> Okay, listen. If you don't step out, you're going to be under arrest for obstructing. Step out now. >> Okay. Obstruction of what? >> Of us. You need to do what we're telling you to do. >> Obstruction? What did I What am I obstructing you from? >> Cuz you're not stepping out of the car. You're not obeying a lawful command. Step out of the vehicle. >> I didn't do anything, though. >> Come on. >> Whoa. >> What the woman was doing was simply stalling the situation. But things did not go the way she wanted, and police moved in without hesitation. >> Come on, baby. >> We're low. Get on the ground. >> Ow. Ow. Ow. We're low. Back on the ground. On the ground. On the ground. >> Okay. Now you're under arrest. >> For what? I'm under arrest for what? >> Obstructing. I gave you a warning. >> Ow. You did not give me a warning. A warning about what? >> What did I do? I didn't do anything. >> I'm sitting in the car. I live here. >> Okay, that's fine. >> I live here. I live here. >> Stop. >> I live. >> Stop resisting. You got to get a new charge. >> Bro, what? You're saying I didn't I didn't do anything. This is illegal as >> this is illegal. >> We have one in custody. Hey, can you start a separate 16? >> This is illegal as this is so illegal. This is illegal. Ow. This is illegal. >> Okay. >> This is illegal. I'm not doing I didn't do anything. All right. >> So, why are you sitting there? I live here. >> Listen, ma'am. We would have talked to you, but you >> you have to listen. Sit up. >> What do you mean? >> Okay, stand up for the three. >> There was nothing illegal here. If you were the suspect in this situation, refusing police orders could get you charged with obstruction, but it seemed the woman did not realize that. >> Wait, under arrest for what though? >> Obstructing. >> What? >> You have to listen to the police when we give you a command. Okay, I know it's covered in >> really. Uh yeah, I live here. It's like >> Yeah, this has nothing to do with you. I had to do what you have on the ground. >> I live here and I didn't stand right here. >> You actually >> doesn't look like you have any pockets. >> I need a [clears throat] girl to search me. >> Okay. We don't have any females working. Okay. >> Okay. Well, can you get a female? >> Would you like me to call one from home? >> Yes, please. >> No, that's not going to happen. >> Okay. I don't give a permission to touch on me. >> Actually, we don't have one readily available. >> I don't give permission to touch on me. >> Do you have pockets even? >> I don't give permission to touch on me, though. >> Ma'am, that's not the way this works. information. That's not how this works. >> Yeah, he's not a girl. >> Okay, listen. I'm going to lift your shirt to make sure you don't have a pocket. >> That's all I'm doing. >> I'm going. >> I'm trying to see if you have a pocket, man. That's >> a pocket. I don't have a pocket. >> Ashley. Okay, just focus on me for a second. Okay, you should know who I am. I talk to you all the time. Okay, >> Ashley, >> what my partner is trying to do right now. He just needs to make sure that you don't have anything on you that can't go going to jail with you. Okay. >> No, I don't. >> And right after that, the woman realized she could hardly avoid arrest. And she also admitted that she had illegal drugs on her. >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, >> listen. Listen. I would like want to work with you on that. Okay. She's saying she has fentinel in her bra. >> Yeah. She had a pipe in her shoe. >> I told you something was in my shoe. I didn't know what it was. >> Actually, it's okay. We're just careful in your shoe. That's all. >> I didn't know it was in my shoe. That's why I said to take my shoe out. That's why I took my shoe off and you saw me take my shoe off cuz I didn't know it was in it. So Ashley, do you have anything else hidden on you? >> I believe we're having a rent for me. >> No, that's fine. No, that's fine. It's on my period. >> We're going to take it for >> That's what you're worried about? >> Yeah. Well, yeah, I'm going to the period. >> Okay. Hey, Ashley, while we're waiting, I read you your rights. You said you understood them. Is that correct? >> Do you want me to reread them before I ask any more questions? And I know it doesn't matter now. What am I in trouble for? >> You're under arrest for obstruction and now possession of control substance. >> Uh and you also have a warrant out of Olympia. >> Olympia for work for what? >> Assault. >> Assault. [snorts] But I wasn't aware of that. >> In the end, she was charged with obstructing a law enforcement officer and drug possession with intent to deliver. Actions have consequences and [music] refusing lawful orders while hiding the truth can quickly turn suspicion into serious criminal charges. >> You are not leaving. Stop. Stop. Stop. Look at this. The bottom is right in the bottom. Don't want to take it out. Okay. >> On the 2nd of July 2024, police were dispatched to a liquor store in Illinois after receiving a report of a woman suspected of shoplifting. Upon arriving at the scene, the store owner stepped forward and gave officers his account of what had happened. >> Oh, right here. There you go. >> Thank you. >> Okay. >> Thank you. >> Who called? >> She's right here, please. >> Okay. What's What's going on? >> So, what happened is the DTS you stole me >> and he came again today. He got a bag and there's both right here. >> And we have it even on camera. >> I know he saw me, man. We got to pay today. >> Today, you want to go up front and I'll talk with >> Please. >> I'm not doing that. >> What? What's What's going on? >> No, he keeps [ __ ] saying it like he keeps pushing me. He keeps saying things to me. That [ __ ] ain't right. >> What is he saying to you? >> So she can have it. >> You see it? I don't want it. I just want you on camera. Make sure you know. >> Okay, I will handle this. >> I literally just want to walk out. I want to go home. >> I'M NOT WALKING OUT TODAY. >> OKAY. WHAT? Why did you call the police or did he call? >> He >> He called. >> He called. Yeah. >> Why did he call? >> Because you're stealing stuff or something? No, he just keeps touching me. I don't like that. >> What do you mean touch me? >> I don't like that. It's like >> She turned the accusation back on the officer in an attempt to deny the allegation against her, but her claims came across as hesitant as if she was making them up on the spot. She even refused to provide her name, only making herself appear even more suspicious. >> Guess you're being detained. >> Am I arrested? >> No, you're not arrested. >> Okay. >> What's your first name? You're going to make more problems for yourself this way. >> I can walk out for you. You can me. >> You're not walking past me. >> You're not going anywhere. >> I am not going. >> No, you're not. >> Yes, I am. >> No, you're not going nowhere. >> You're not going anywhere. >> No freaking way. >> Everything is not there. I'm coming. water. Huh? >> I'm going tell you it's going to end 10 time worse for him. >> H >> It's going to end 10 time worse for him. >> Okay. >> I promise you. >> Well, you're not leaving right now. >> Yes, I am. >> I'm telling you, you're not. >> I'm just trying to be as nice as I can. >> And I'm trying to be as nice as I can to you and say you're not leaving. >> Yes, I am. No, you're not. >> The woman tried to act angry and shift the narrative to make herself look like the victim. Even after the officer told her she was being detained, she still tried to walk away as if nothing had happened. >> Excuse me. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Yeah. Excuse me. >> You're not leaving. >> Touch me. >> You're not leaving. If you try and walk to me again, I'm going to put you in handcuffs. Okay. >> It's very simple. >> All you have to do is stand here till we figure this out and then you can leave once we get done. >> Don't touch me. Don't touch. [snorts] >> Stop. >> No. Stop. >> Stop. >> Yeah. >> You are not leaving. >> Stop. Stop. >> Stop. Put your hands behind your back. Stop. >> Stop. >> Am I being detained? >> Yes, you are. Stop. Put your hands behind your back. >> No. You're not going anywhere, though. >> You're not going to stop. >> Stop. >> Why? >> Stop. Put your hands behind your back. Stop. >> Why are you making all the >> Am I being the thing? >> I already told you. >> Am I being arrested? >> Stop. Stop. Stop. >> I literally don't have a problem when nobody. >> All right. Stop. What's your first thing? >> No, this is not a >> What are you doing this for? >> I need a lawyer. I LITERALLY AM TRYING to leave. >> Dude, he already grabbed the [ __ ] bottle and then he's I'm not going. >> After successfully detaining the woman, one of the officers reviewed the surveillance footage with the store owner and everything quickly became clear. >> And I'm in the police now. >> Oh, that's the one you were calling. >> Yeah. >> She started pushing past. >> Look at this. Look at this. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> In one point even he hit me with a thing with a thing right in my face. >> Okay. >> Who is a crazy one? >> I don't have nothing else in my life to deal with. >> No. >> I said no. No, you're not leaving. Look at this. Look at this. Look at this. >> Look at this [ __ ] Look at this. Look at this. And the other guy and the other guy is stay in the front too. You know you're not leaving Mexico. Look at this guy. >> You're not leaving this. >> Did you already have the bottle out of her bag at this point? >> Yes. No, no, no. You can see the tempo. I take it out from the bag. >> Okay. >> Not It's not in the bag. That's in the front. >> Okay. >> So, let's do this. So, I can't believe it. She's I let it go yesterday. But I said, "No, no, no. You again." I said today, "No, it's not going to happen." To make matters worse for her, the store owner went on to describe how she had behaved toward him earlier, making it clear that she was anything but the victim. >> Uh, I think I did guess right. >> This is when you're trying. >> Look at this. Look at the bottle. I'm taking the bottle out. >> Now, this is the best part. We're taking the bottle. Look at this. Look at this. Look at this. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Look at this. She said, "Don't touch me. You touch me." I said, "No, no, ma'am. I'm not touching you." Look at this. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Look at this. The bottle. >> Look at this. The bottle. Look at this. Yes. Right in the bottle. Don't want to take it out. >> Okay. >> You think she has other stuff in her purse or >> I don't check that. The thing is you just saw the bottle. >> The bottle and you can see the bottle. I mean there's no way you can fake it. >> Is there anything smaller over there that she can? >> I don't know what the back but the reason I like couple minutes less than a couple minutes. She wasn't as soon as [snorts] I see her. I said, "Oh, hold on. She's back again." So she stud she stopped right there for a second. She said I I said you again huh? And she said I don't need trouble. I said believe me ma'am. Oh my boyfriend. I said don't bring the boyfriend. I don't give a damn who was outside. Like I said I said ma'am don't don't go in the shop. So she walked straight in the back and I thought I lost for a second. I said hold on where she is. And I thought there no no camera showing up. And I walk right in the back and I see her you know she have the big bag moving around. I said no no no. And the best thing is, you're not going to believe it. >> You know, she got it one time. She I bring her right. She going to get THE SECOND ONE. OH, I GOT TO GET ONE TODAY. [snorts] But it's not just one, but she got a second. Same thing. And she practicing. >> The woman was charged with retail theft under $300, resisting a peace officer, and battery involving insulting or provoking physical contact. Actions have consequences, and trying to avoid responsibility often makes a situation much worse. Cooperating with officers during an investigation and resolving the issue through legal channels is far better than resisting, making accusations without evidence, or escalating the encounter into additional criminal charges. Even worse, this shoplifter managed to rack up 17 more charges in just 45 minutes. >> Give me your car. Give me money in your car. >> No. Give me money in your car now. >> No. >> Stand up. Stand up. >> On the 13th of January 2023, police received urgent reports about a female suspect who had carried out a shocking non-stop crime spree. According to reports, she began the chaos by carjacking a vehicle at a car wash while threatening victims with a taser, then smashed through the barrier gate and fled to a nearby Family Dollar store where she stole clothing. Even worse, she later stormed into a stuff shop and once again used the taser to threaten employees while demanding money from the register. This was what happened at the time. >> Honey, give me money in your drawer. >> No. Give me money in your door now. >> No. >> Get the Get the out of here. Call 911 now. Back the up. Back the up. 911. >> Right after receiving the reports, police launched a pursuit of the woman, but they quickly realized it was only the beginning of even more reckless traffic crimes. I'm going to go ahead and have a pursuit here. >> Hold the air. Okay. Uh, I got a northbound wads through fifth. Whoever gets behind me, take over. >> All right, you guys are getting into the skull area. Let's call that off. Got him up there. Park, >> get out of the way. Come on. >> 611. I'm at second one. >> Just taking off. Southbound lost. Going to go ahead and have a pursuit here. >> South. >> Let me see your hands. Hands. Let me see your hands. >> GET OUT THE HANDS OFF. GET YOUR HANDS OFF. KEEP THEM UP. LET me see your hands. [screaming] HANDS UP. HANDS UP. Get out of the car. Get out OF THE HANDS OFF. GET YOUR HANDS UP. >> I'm with you. I'm with you. I'm with you. >> Who else is in the car with you? >> I see no one. I see no one. >> Her escape speeds reportedly reached nearly 97 mph, and she was even willing to ram police vehicles just to get away. In total, she was believed to have committed 17 crimes in only 45 minutes. At that point, officers were still struggling to bring the situation under control. >> Yeah, I know. >> Turn it off. >> I'M WORKING ON IT. Hold her. >> I got her. I got her hand. I got her hand. >> Taser. Taser. Taser. Taser. >> Do you see me standing here? >> Stop the car. Stop the car. Working on it. WORKING ON IT. IN PARK. It's in park. Hey, >> custody. >> What are you doing? >> Are you kidding me? >> Let's get her up. Just check. Check real quick. I got me. I got breathe. >> Roll over your way. You want me? >> I got to breathe. I got to breathe. I got >> I know you're on your side. Relax. >> Just breathe. >> Do you have any other weapons on you? >> No, I don't. >> Just breathe. >> All right, roll over the wrong way. >> Such a wrist cuz she's diving. >> I got her. Got her. >> Roll over. Roll over. >> Nothing. >> All right. Send her up and move over. If you put yourself in her position, there was no way someone could commit a second or third crime, let alone 17, without completely losing any sense of guilt. So, even after being arrested, she only cared about herself and tried to act like the victim. We need a patrol car. We'll >> get you a patrol car. >> Yeah. >> Don't worry. >> Have a seat. But first, have a seat. >> Linda. >> Sorry. Linda. >> How do you spell it? All in the >> were over here and I saw this uh the red car is coming and it's kind of stopped because then we realize it's dead. >> Okay, we got the paramedics coming out. Okay, Linda, do you use any other names? No. >> Okay, cuz we're not going to just like add another charge, right, with lying about your name? Yes or no? >> Okay, watch your head. I'm going to close this door. The first car, the policeman hit him a one time and this guy made made the right turn towards the fence. >> Okay. >> And then the second move this way hit him at the front really fast. >> Okay. >> While the victims described the chaos they went through, 32-year-old Cassandra showed a completely careless and irresponsible attitude toward everything that had happened. >> Wake up, Linda. >> Wake up. burn. >> I know it burns, so look up. Look up at me. >> And one lady was like, "Get out of my car." And she was like trying to hit her. So I jumped out. I'm like, "Are you okay?" She's like, "No, she's trying to get my car." I'm like, "What?" So I ripped open the door and the other lady um had maze. She was trying to spray the lady in the car trying to steal her car. >> Look up at me. Let me look at me, Linda. >> There you go. Look this way, please. >> Come on. I need you to step out. >> Swing your leg out here, Linda. Swing your leg out. Yep. Come on. Bring the other one out. >> Come on. >> Step up, please. Step up. >> Thank you. >> Stand up. >> Stand up. >> I'm ready. >> Stay right there. >> Okay. >> So, she started chasing me and I was running around my car and my door was open. So, she jumped in my car and I went to pull the door back open. She tried to tase me and miss. >> Then she hauled ass, stood here, took off, knocked the knocked the gate off. >> Now, when you say it's definitely a taser, what does that mean? >> It was it you could hear the sound. It's like a handheld. >> So, she was deploying it. >> Yes, she was. >> Okay. >> Vanessa, can you see her? here. >> Do you identify? >> Cassandra was ultimately charged with multiple felony offenses, including robbery, menacing with a weapon, vehicle theft, and assault on law enforcement officers. The moment someone stops feeling guilt for their actions, every bad decision afterward only pushes them deeper into destruction. What do you think about cases like this?
