Yo, I'm about TO SPAZZ BECAUSE I'M ABOUT TO BEAT the out her mom. No, [laughter] get the off. Get the off. >> On the 28th of February, 2026, police received a report from Walmart about two women suspected of shoplifting inside the store. Even worse, they had brought along some very special companions with them. This was what unfolded when officers arrived at the scene. >> We are in the middle of getting a training receipt right now. All right. again. >> So, she was with another party that party had purchased her items at a man checkout and walked out. >> Okay, come back out. >> She um attempt now. Are you calling for someone to pick up your order? >> No, I'm calling it because the person I was with, >> we saw her attempt to push out grocery side twice and was stopped both times by the doorman. She came to this side, jumped up to to customer service to call for a party and they never came. She walked back into the store. >> They paid for everything. Okay. Well, I'll I'll talk to you after. >> She Where's her mom at? >> No idea. I was here. I called I actually came to register. >> Call her mom. >> I Dad, I'll call you back. She's not answering. I'm going straight to I was my thing was we were going shopping. >> If you could potentially get arrested, you want this little girl to go with diapers right now. >> Find her mom. Bring that. Figure it out. Where is her mom at? >> My love, I don't know. I was here. She was supposed to pay for [ __ ] No. >> Yo, walk here. Taxes. >> From where? From where? Where? >> What does her mom say? >> Her shelter. This is crazy. >> What does her mom think? >> Randy Sista. I've been over overcome. >> Although loss prevention staff clearly accused her of trying to push the card out twice. She insisted on a different story, shifting the blame onto the other woman who had already vanished. >> All right, Sadie's in front of me. I don't want to have this conversation. It's It really doesn't have anything to do with this. I'm calling Dyus. I don't care what they have to do. I'm calling Dyus. And stop. >> I'm getting the kids about you. >> I don't care about me. I care about the kids and what she just put her kid through being with me. >> What are you doing? What are you doing to you? >> I don't know. It doesn't really matter. I told them I'll pay for what I got to pay for, but half the is Randy. So, she's going to have to take accountability for what she was supposed to pay for. >> No. No. You just cuz you have the car. You're responsible. So, I'm responsible because I have a card for somebody who was putting in my cart, >> bro. Because Randy don't put me in a ass position and I'm probably going to get locked up because she's a lying ass. >> I'm at Walmart. I have my food stamp card. It's in her wallet. >> That's customer service. >> I was supposed to pay half the food and then she was supposed to pay half of the clothes for her and Satie and Jason and Liam. I don't went to the customer service like two or three times on top of checkout line asking for her name. She didn't show. So I figured, okay, she's paying. I called her. She didn't answer. So I figured she was outside. So I'm I didn't even go outside yet. I'm like halfway out the store. And then they check me. I'm calling her. She's not answering me. No, nothing. I have Satie with me. Like for all this, I would have never came here with her. She apparently she'sing lit. >> Okay. Can we just reload it and um reload me thinking that I'm paying for half of it and she has my card? I don't know. Nobody can find her. I'm in the office at Walmart. >> The woman completely portrayed herself as a victim of the child's mother. But it all appeared to be an act as store staff and police had a very different and far more certain view of what really happened. >> She was what? >> She was she was pushing stuff in the car. The other kid >> I don't know if we'll have footage of that or not. This lady here tried to go out the other door first. Then she then she tried to grow up a garden door. So she knew she knew what she was doing. >> But we don't know. We have the other girl on camera doing stuff. >> I'm sure. Um man, I can't I No, because she paid. So we I think she left the clothes. Dakota can tell you better. >> But did she conceal it at all? >> No. No. She had a big pile of stuff. She paid for some stuff and left the clothes. That's what I was told. I was following this girl. But we never had her the other girl stealing trying to take anything out the store. No, not no. Not to her, not to her knowledge. Just be her. >> At this point, a guardian arrived to ensure the safety of the child beside her, but her attitude only made the situation grow even more tense. Her name >> come's right here. I want to make sure this is Orion. >> Can I see? Come up here. Stay right there. >> Right there. Stay right there. Get back there. >> Why are you touching? >> Get back there. This is Orion, right? >> Yeah. Stay calm. Relax. >> Yo, I'm about to SPAT BECAUSE I'M ABOUT TO BEAT THE out her mom. >> No. >> So, close the door. Please for a second. Relax, >> bro. This is ridiculous. >> I don't do this. >> Calm down. Stop hanging out with >> I don't do any of this. >> She's supposed to be here. What? What color does she have on? >> I don't know. She had a burgundy and black one on >> and then a green one. Ridiculous. >> Can I press charges? Like I would like to press charges. >> Can you calm down? >> No, because I was not aware of this. Y'all seen that I have called her multiple times. I don't get in trouble. Like I would like to press charges at this point. I would really like to press charges. [snorts] >> I don't ever get in trouble. like I would really like to press charges because I really thought like I called her name multiple times and I made sure of it. >> Her denial did nothing to change what police had already confirmed with the store and officers quickly made their decision. >> Do that. >> Can you stand up for me, please? >> Of course. Why are you guys grabbing me? >> You're being told and you're not listening. >> So, I'm guessing she's not getting locked up by just him. She didn't steal anything. Are you serious? >> I'm just going to search her real quick. >> Other pocket. Can you put that in my pocket? >> I'm going to search with my back hand. your waistline. >> Do not touch my >> I have to. It's just going to be with the back of his hand. He's not going to back my head. Just go ahead. Make sure there's no weapons in the area. Don't go like towards her crotch or her butt or something. >> You guys have watched him. You've seen me sit here and call out her name multiple times. >> I didn't even walk out the store. And I'm getting charged for what? Theft. >> Um, I'll take care of them. >> You got smaller handcuffs cuz it clicked through. >> They're good. Do you like smaller handcuffs? You got mying hands tight as hell. I got a dumbass [ __ ] stealing from here. I'm telling you, I had a bunch of multiple people asking for her name and I don't want to get in charge. >> Like, this is ridiculous. >> Please stop touching me. Unless you're a female. >> I I I suggest you don't put away stuff cuz that could be another charge. Listen to us. We're not doing nothing. >> I have nothing to do with this. I'M TELLING Y'ALL, I will pay for this. >> Her tension reached a breaking point and showed no sign of stopping as she became even more difficult when officers began searching her bag. I don't care who's in charge. YOU GUYS ARE PRINTING [ __ ] IN MY PURSE. IT AIN'T MINE. >> You act like it's illegal. IT'S STUFF THAT WE'RE >> I DON'T CARE. >> I DON'T CARE EITHER. >> Apparently not. >> You don't. Apparently not. >> You get paid. >> And you're mad at us for doing our job. We're just taking this stuff out of you. >> No, no, no. I'm mad at you for not doing your job. How you got to sit here saying she's going to pay you for >> Don't pull away. Don't pull away. Don't pull away. Don't pull away. Don't pull away. Don't pull away. Don't fall. I'm going to complain. You guys are hurting my >> You guys are hurting my >> Yo, get the off me. Yo, girl, unhook my two. >> Y'all about to [ __ ] y'all up. >> I'm about to y'all up. >> Yo, get the off. >> Get the OFF ME. GET THE OFF ME. >> Stay back. >> Yo, get off. That hurts. That [ __ ] hurts. Are you serious? >> Are you serious? That [ __ ] hurts. I'm telling y'all to get off me for a reason. I have a patch on it. Friend, get off my wrist. Yo, y'all are hurting my wrist. >> In the end, she was retail theft, obstructing justice, and resisting arrest. Remember, blaming someone else would not save you because when the evidence was already clear, excuses only made the situation worse. Next, shift the mood as we dive into the chaos caused by this woman. >> So, fighting west. >> This is wrong. >> YEAH, I AIN'T DOING NOTHING. I TRIED TO CALM THEM DOWN. >> On April 16th, 2024, officers were dispatched to a restaurant following reports of an ongoing altercation, and the tension showed no signs of easing even after their arrival. Here's what unfolded. >> To be in here, to be a part, and for you to tell me to shut the and then call the police like, what? Do the first. >> No, we don't need to talk. We do need to talk. >> Ma'am, he gave you a lawful order. You can go outside with us or you can go out handcuffs. You can walk out on your own and talk to us. >> You on the same >> We're taking the situation outside. >> What you for? >> I got to get everybody side of the story. No, ain't no side of the story, but they told us >> they hillbillies and they woman handicap. So they think this is a fivestar restaurant that they at. >> And of course, the confrontation didn't come from just one person. The second woman, the one wearing glasses on her head, also clearly displayed blatant non-compliance. >> Ma'am, let's go. >> I ain't got to go nowhere. >> You're coming outside, too. You told me to go somewhere >> with my picture. You told me to go, >> ma'am. I step outside. >> You told me to go. >> I'm going to ask you one more time. Step outside. >> What? I'm over here. >> What's your instigation situation? >> I GOT IN. I TOLD her to leave. >> I'm going to ask you one more time. Step outside. >> You got I know the chief and I know all of them. Wait on. Come on. I tried to do something. I'm put my cover on my picture. I'll take it out. Well, I ain't got to pay for nothing. So, you you take me out. So, >> Oh, you you said to come back and pay your bill. >> I ain't paying [ __ ] And I bet you that. >> Okay. >> I bet you pop me. >> I've been trying to confuse the whole situation. >> I'VE BEEN TELLING HER TO >> MY RIGHT IS THE same as his. >> WE WERE LISTEN. We were sitting there and >> you make all the cheese for you. >> What's up? What you want? What you want me? >> First off, >> lose your tone. Okay. >> Hey, listen. What's up? >> Were you in the situation? >> Huh? >> Were you >> I went to THE WHOLE ANOTHER YOU ASKING ME A question or no? >> When I was standing there, YOU WAS INSTIGATING? >> NO, I WAS NOT. I WENT TO THE I was at the table with them. Take a step back >> and you ask >> waving your hands in my face, please. >> Give me somebody else to talk to cuz he don't want to talk to >> Oh, and she don't look no better. >> Well, unfortunately, I'm the supervisor, so you don't have a choice and told me, "Come on over here and talk to me." >> Ma'am, they told us to shut the [ __ ] and then call SOMETHING. ASK THEM. >> OKAY, BUT can y'all lower your voice? >> How can we lower our voice when we regular customer just like everybody else? We came to sit down instead of the waitress coming and the manager telling us we were too loud. THEY TOLD US TO SHUT THE L. >> Then they called you. Listen, >> they didn't call us. >> Yeah, they did. >> Yeah, >> the restaurant called >> No. Okay. The restaurant called >> They told us they called you. >> Oh, YOU'RE GOING TO JAIL. >> YOU'RE GOING TO JAIL. WE CALLED ON Y'ALL. >> YEAH, they were called. >> What began as mutual attacks soon shifted with both women now united in their complaints against the restaurant. Yet even so, they continued to refuse any form of cooperation. >> But why? My ID need to be here. >> I need your ID, please. >> For what? >> Because you're getting criminal trespass back here. I need your ID. >> No, they you lying. They just told me I was cool here. >> Oh, you lying. They lying. But you get my ID. >> I bet you they ain't told me I can't come here. The owner just came and said I WENT TO THE I LEFT my friends. >> Yeah, they won't pay. >> Y got to pay and then y'all getting criminal trespass me. Y can't come back. >> Not me. I bet you it ain't me. Yes, ma'am. This year. >> I bet you it ain't. >> He tell us y'all need to shut on it. Put on it. I bet you it ain't. But you get my >> and I'll be here tomorrow and make it seem like we just reciprocate our money just like that. And you will no negligious behavior or anything. If I'm going to shut the car, >> this is it's is >> you got your ID? >> No. >> All right. He tells me to shut the >> after the waitress talking to us. He can tell us TO SHUT THE >> I WAS A WHOLE another one. >> Ma'am, come over here. >> Ma'am, come over here, please. >> The officers once again separated the two women in an effort to deescalate the situation. Even the boyfriend of one of the women tried to help, but the atmosphere remained completely tense. >> This is not my bill. >> That is not my deal. They're going to be criminally trespassed. But I mean, >> I'm trying to get >> Yeah, because I'm like, well, the other lady like I just walked up and she was just >> But you don't understand the way we did the way this officer came and try. Let me talk to Listen, when we come up here and we're trying to figure out what's going on and y'all are yelling and screaming >> because the off the the rusher has already came and took sides. Look, she listen back. >> And so the white and his wife and he said, "Y'all shut the [ __ ] up. First of all, that ain't your place to tell nobody." >> So you you disrespecting them. >> Figure out who that is. >> That's not mine. >> So like that ain't something that you do cuz it's original. >> The owner should have took care of >> the owner. They was there to take care of it. They said while the owner was there, "Y'all need to shut the [ __ ] up and say we're gonna make sure y'all take y'all ass to jail." >> You don't do that. You don't do that. And I told them, "I'm gonna STAY HERE TILL THE POLICE get here. I could have been left before y'all got here." I told them I was be here until the police get here because that's not right. Because I pay my money just like everybody else. If I'm loud, come correct me. And if I don't change that, >> then then you if you don't check me and I don't change it, then hold me accountable. >> As initially determined, the woman with the glasses was identified as the primary cause of the incident. At that point, officers took action based on the confirmed nature of her behavior. >> Like Jose said, owner, I'll be here tomorrow. >> Are you going to listen to me? >> Hey. Yes, you do. Actually, >> you touching me? >> Yes. You just body check me. >> I do. >> I did not body check you. Yes, you did. >> This is wrong. >> Back up. >> I ain't even doing that. >> Wait a second. >> All right. You're criminally trespassed already. All right. >> I was TRYING TO GET I'M THE ONE who ask her. I'M THE ONE WHO TRIED TO CALM HER DOWN. Like this is wrong, man. >> Stay here. Stay here. Stay here. right here. >> That's why we're trying to get her. >> She going down. >> Why is she? >> Cuz she tried to bump into She bumped into me on her way out. >> She did not. >> Yes, she did. >> Hey, chill out. Chill out. >> Come on. Come on, mama. I might HAVE TROUBLE. >> YO, I DID NOT. Y'ALL CAN HOLD THE OWNER HERE. Y'ALL, I AIN'T NEVER tried to do nothing to nobody. up here. >> Stop moving. >> She needs to pay. >> I don't know what to do. >> Yo, listen. >> She the ONE THAT WAS CAUGHT. >> OH, SORRY. >> All right. >> YEAH, I WAS DOING NOTHING. I TRIED TO CALM them down. The other woman was only deemed to be trespassed from the property and officers explained this to her so she could leave. But her attitude clearly showed she had no intention of doing so. Okay. >> I say, "Look, just that's all you got to just pay the bill for you and you can leave." >> I'm putting her in the car. >> No, she's Look, I'm straight. >> Look, as long the thing, okay? So, when I walked in, she was the calmer. You You was upset, but you was the calmer one of the two of y'all. She was antagonizing the situation thing, sir. >> Ma'am, she was antagonizing the situation. I mean, she she was egging it on. Okay. And you know she was >> But sir, if you got disrespected, I'm sure you would have antagonized it on as well. >> They told us to shut the [ __ ] up and we going to make sure y'all go to jail. I'm sorry. I don't want to put my >> But listen, they told her they going to make sure somebody go to jail, sir. >> Everybody home run paid while I talk to her. You >> sir, they told her they were going to make somebody go to jail. >> Let's Let's step out of the road first cuz folks can't drive. Okay, so look, listen. First off, okay, I understand you felt disrespected and I get that. Okay, but my thing is this. We're all adults, right? >> That's right. >> We need to handle adult situation, correct? Adult manner, right? >> Yes, sir. >> There's kids in that restaurant. Okay, >> sir. >> I understand. Let me finish, please. Okay. I promise you. I'm going to give you a chance to talk. I prom I'm not that type of person. I'm not going to just cut somebody off. Okay. So, look. This is where I'm at with it. There's kids in that restaurant. If y'all had a disagreement or you felt some type of way, the best thing to do would be to either a >> one woman was arrested for obstruction and criminal trespass while the rest of the group was also criminally trespassed from the establishment. Actions driven by ego and refusal to cooperate can quickly turn a simple dispute into legal consequences for everyone involved. Even the next woman showed no shame about her wrongdoing. >> Just what like scanning them and just not paying for them. Oh god. about how much money was that? >> Okay. >> Cuz if it's just a soda in the bag, then it wouldn't be no need for her to like scan the bag. So, the the gift cards are in the bag. >> On January 20th, 2025, the police received a call from a store after they discovered one of their employees committing fraud by manipulating gift cards. For more details, the store manager explained the situation clearly. >> So, what she was doing was gift card fraud. Okay. >> Um, >> so she was of course uh getting different getting different gift cards and uh cashing them out but without paying for them. So right now her total is up to $970. >> Okay, gotcha. >> So I have video of uh of a few days and then I do have all of her transactions. >> And when did this all occur? >> So her first transaction was on December [clears throat] December 17th. >> Okay. And then she did three on December 18th. >> Okay. >> Um where her first one was a Boost Mobile for 200. Uh >> and that's all on here. >> Uh-huh. And then on the 18th her first one was a $50 Chipotle. >> And then here we have a $100 Amazon >> uh which was on the 18th also. So she did three. >> This is a Victoria Secret for 100. So that was three gift cards she did on the 18th. >> Okay. And and how exactly would is she doing this? >> She So >> is she just stealing the gift card? >> Yeah. So she would go and get a gift card cuz she's the cashier. >> Okay. Gotcha. >> So she So she's ringing them up by herself. So she's concealing that like one transaction it would be like in a paper in a plastic bag or the gift card would be underneath her phone or underneath the Kroger magazine. Okay. >> So like that. >> Gotcha. Um, and of course I watched video to make sure that, you know, none of these transactions were for customers, which they weren't cuz she had no customers. >> Uhhuh. >> Except for the one except for the one transaction. Um, which she did it right in front of two different customers like right in front of as another customer was coming to her line. She did it. >> From the investigation conducted by the loss prevention department, it became clear that the woman had made a serious mistake. Yet, the suspect's attitude showed no sign of remorse. >> Hey, what's going on? It shouldn't tell you. >> What's that? >> You're right. >> Yeah. Yeah. So So I was chatting with her about it, but I just >> I wanted to chat with you about it as well. >> Go in. >> Okay. So um can you tell me exactly what happened just so I get your side of the story? >> Okay. How How are you doing that? >> I was going through the um registration. >> Okay. Just what? like scanning them and just not paying for them. Okay. About how much money was that? >> Okay. On what dates was this happening? >> Like December. >> In December, like before Christmas. >> Throughout December. Okay. So, you're just scanning them, not paying for them, and then you take them home. Okay. Do you remember about how many transactions you did this with? >> More than four. Okay. How long you work here? >> Since like the first reference to this coming back negative. >> She showed no shame as she openly admitted her wrongdoing, but the store had already made its own decision. >> Were yall want to press charges? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> Yes. >> Um I would like to see that video. >> Um I'm going to wait for my partner to get here and then I'll go in there in your office. Are you able to watch that in your office? >> Yes, I do right now. >> Okay. if you wouldn't mind just working on pulling that up. >> Um, and then once he gets here, I'll come in there and watch it. Does that work? >> Yeah. Yeah, that works. >> Okay. And there is your license back. >> Okay. Absolutely. Has Nicole talked with you about next steps? >> As far as the job goes, >> yeah, they told me um I could either sign >> sign for like volunteers like resignment or something. I just want to do that. But the officer told me about like depending on like how much it was, they would have to prosecute. So if she would never say that, I would have snack pictures. >> At the same time, an officer reviewed the surveillance cameras with the manager that captured her actions and this became the evidence that clearly exposed the woman's behavior. >> So this is the one for the 7th uh cuz this this is her last transaction on >> January 7th. So right now >> January 7th. Okay. So this one she did a $300 Amazon card. >> 300 Amazon. >> Mhm. Okay. >> So right here. So right now the gift cards are in the bag. >> Okay. >> So as you know she works like you know a shift. So at some point during throughout her shift she goes over there in front of customer service cuz that's where they are >> and picks up the gift cards. >> Gotcha. >> Um so right now they're in the bag. She has a a Mountain Dew or something that's in the bag. But then you'll see what she does here. [snorts] Cuz if it's just a soda in the bag, then it wouldn't be no need for her to like scan the bag. So the the gift card is like in the bag. >> Gotcha. And then put it under the >> And then scans it through the See. >> Okay. Gotcha. >> So she scans it, put it back. >> And that all pop I mean that all populates on there anyway. That's how you know. >> So now she's putting in how much she wants. >> Uhhuh. >> On the gift card. >> Okay. >> Pretty bold. >> I know. It's pretty hard to see. >> Pretty bold. >> Yeah. Oh yeah. Yeah, especially when you get three three cars on one day. I >> time matches up. >> Mhm. >> I I wrote it on here also. So, just in case. >> Awesome. I appreciate that. No, that helps a lot. >> Oh, yeah. No problem. No problem. So, so this is basically the whole trend. So, it's either through a Kroger bag, underneath the Kroger magazine, >> underneath her phone. >> Okay. >> And it was clear that the woman's wrongdoing could not be forgiven. So, the police took action. >> Um, like I said, I appreciate you being upfront with me. Um, I appreciate you being cool with us. Um, so the total was 970 in total um, over several transactions. Um, so you are going to be under arrest for theft by shoplifting. Okay. So go and stand up and turn around. >> What's that? >> [clears throat] >> Yeah, it was almost a thousand. >> She was charged with theft by shoplifting. Admitting your wrongdoing without shame will not erase the consequences because once the evidence is clear, the law will always take its course. In the next case, the suspects even abandon each other in an attempt to evade punishment. >> He definitely did come here to steal things. >> Okay. How old is he? >> I don't know. >> Oh, okay. Get on your stomach right now. I will tase you. Get on your stomach. On September 24th, 2025, officers stopped a woman because her boyfriend was suspected of being involved in a theft at Target. She had fled with the suspect, but he had left her behind. Here was what happened next. >> Don, is that all I know? >> What is he wearing? >> Uh, you're already in trouble, so might as well >> I I'm in trouble. I'm trying to tell you, but uh he's wearing I think like a black hoodie or a dark colored hoodie. And I he was definitely he definitely did come here to steal things. >> Okay. How old is he? >> I don't know. >> Oh, okay. >> I personally met him through that. I've never like a black hoodie. Anything else? >> Um in uh I think dark colored jeans. >> Darker like her. >> He's like a V6. So he's pretty tall. But he didn't touch anything of mine. I did not come here for any reason at all. >> I uh >> Does he have Fisher? >> Uh yeah, he does. What does he have? >> Short. He had a short uh short beard. >> Is it a full beard or a goatee? >> The suspect had been willing to abandon his girlfriend to escape and even the merchandise, all totaling up to $1,000. At that moment, officers quickly identified the items to proceed with recovery. Okay, I didn't find a wall over here. If you want though, you can put all other stuff back in your backpack. Okay. Uh, she believes there is white boxes in there that might be stolen. >> I just want to make sure he didn't pay my money. >> We found him. So, we're going to check him and if he has your wallet, we'll find >> While officers were working with the woman, another police team had located the man. And it seemed he had exhausted himself after the escape, leaving the situation far from over. >> Got him. Third try. Show me your hands. You're going to get tased. Come out and show me your hands or you're going to GET TASED. COME OUT TOWARDS ME AND SHOW ME YOUR HANDS or you're going to get tased right now. Come over here to me and keep youring hands up. Show me your hand. Put Get on your stomach. Get on your stomach right now. I will tase you. Get on your stomach. Put your hands behind your back. Put your hands behind your back. Both of them now. Put your hands together. Behind your back. >> Don't move. >> You move again. I'm tasing you. >> There's There's a hole in the fence, but he's got to He's got to go. >> You have to lay down and roll. >> Get up. Start walking. >> Well, we got to do it. It's the only way out. >> If I mean, if we get I could pull the fence up and go in. >> Start pulling yourself up. >> Get on yourself. >> Start walking. >> Stand up. Get up. Did he leave with any merchandise? >> He left. He ditched the curtain. >> All right, there's a red bandana. >> Grab that bandana. Start walking. What are you doing? Why you acting like >> It turned out the man had been in an unstable mental state and officers immediately raised suspicions that he had shown signs of drug use. >> He probably ate something. Was he acting like this in the store? >> No, he was shopping like normal. What'd you eat? >> What' you take, dude? >> I think you might have swallow something. What' you take, too? >> Hey, what'd you take, dude? It's not worth dying over. What' you take? >> He still has something in his mouth cuz he's looking >> Open your mouth. Open your mouth. >> Open all the way. Stick your tongue out. Open your mouth. Stick your tongue out. >> Yeah. Go in a sec. >> Stay there. What' you eat? What' you eat? >> I got another one in the door there. >> Shove it in his nose and squeeze it up. Hey, keep your head up. Hey. Hey. >> Keep your head up. Keep your head up. What' you take, dude? >> All right, John. One last question. This is for the ambulance to save your life. All right. We need to know what you took. Not not to put charges on you to save your life. >> What' you take? It's only going to help you out. >> I don't know. >> You know what? You know what? You can tell the ambulance crew if you don't want to tell us. That way they know what they'll give you. >> They already found the needle. They just want to know what you took so they know what to give you. >> What is it? >> Let them kill me. >> All right. Hey, they're not going to. >> Returning to the female suspect, it appeared she was also involved with drug use and officers immediately addressed the issue. >> About using speed or some [ __ ] >> No. Yeah, we're going to figure it out. >> What I came here for? >> I know. As you guys are done clearing the business, um I'd like to bring it back how the got in the back door cuz they saw employees only or if that damage has been there. There's no shoe mark. I get here early every day and I just open up the store. I went to the back. We had a customer call in saying that they were coming in to get a iPhone. So, I'm putting all our packages away, checking our uh safe to see if we have the iPhones or things like that. So, I start the time delay and when I start, every time I start the time delay, I uh tell my wife to start a 10-minute timer. Then, a customer came in. So, I started working with the customer, she was talking about her internet's not working, her friend's internet's not working, and so I just go push the buttons and once I step in, he sent me to get on the ground. Where was he at? Right behind the door. >> From the final footage of the suspect fleeing, the police quickly traced their lead. And at that moment, everything became extremely tense. >> HANDS UP. >> PUT YOUR HANDS UP RIGHT NOW. TURN AROUND. >> ANYBODY ELSE IN THERE? All right. Got cover. I'm just going to be >> You have me on camera? >> No, no, no. I said, "A vehicle was used in armed robbery, and so you're driving the vehicle here. We got to talk to you about it." >> Hold on. Wait. >> What? >> This woman was the store employee herself. And while falsely denying any involvement in the robbery, she even came up with a story about her boyfriend borrowing the car. >> Did anyone borrow your vehicle? >> Did I let somebody borrow the vehicle? Yeah, I did. >> Okay. Who Who >> Tyreek you? >> Um, this this boy I've been talking to you today. >> No, I'm with you. Is that the story that you want to go with? >> They have these awesome cameras each intersection and the track here, >> right? >> So, we know where you've been, >> right? So, like you want to tell us like again which way you're coming from? I came from the north. >> So why why was your car coming from back like a robbery? >> When what time what time do you have your car? >> I got my car at the What time did she text me? Cuz I said I was coming over. >> You got my car cuz she asked me was I still coming and I said I'm on my way. Sorry. I'm coming over. >> At 12:16 he picked you up. >> Yeah. No. >> So, we look at the Cuz we're we're looking at the cameras. We're not going to see you. We're not going to see you in there. >> No. >> That was her story. But with the evidence confirmed by the cameras, the woman eventually admitted a little about the person who had borrowed her car. The best part right now is just to be honest about everything >> because you can either not be in trouble or you're going to be in a lot of trouble. I can't put making promises right now. >> I like Tyreek drive my car, >> huh? >> And I say I like Tyreek drive my car. >> You like how you drive your car? >> Yeah. >> And you ride T-Mobile and stolen? >> Is that so? >> This is your purse. >> Yeah, >> that's my purse. He used my car for robbery. >> They be in no trouble. You can cooperate. and not cooperate and be in a lot of trouble. >> I know, but there's a lot of back and forth going on already. So, it's like you didn't pull me into something else. >> Whatever you talking about, he got going on. >> Yeah. >> And it's like, can I ask you one question? There's a lot of kids running around in here. It was reported that this guy, not you, you all at some point. You just want to make sure it's not somewhere in this business where kids going to find you. >> I have no idea. And >> it's going to help you out a lot. Literally ran to the door. I said, "Grab my purse off the other car so I can take my phone." And that was it. >> Where's the keys to the viewer? Cuz it's got to get to >> It's using a robbery. Yeah. I mean, it's We can't cut the brakes on that. >> It did not stop there. According to the investigation, a third person had taken part in the robbery as a lookout in the car. And of course, he would not escape being arrested. >> Ground. I said, "Drop what's in your hands. Lay flat. >> All the way. >> I got cover. Hands on your back. Listen, we have an arrest warrant for you. Okay. We'll explain it all in just a few minutes. Okay. You're helping Drake, correct? >> Yeah. >> Okay. All right. Um, lay on your butt or sit on your butt, brother. Going to sit you up, right? Okay. Do you have any weapons on you? No. >> Nothing like that. You're standing up. Um, get your feet up under you. Stand up. All right. I'm going to grab your phone. That bag. If it's just uh if it's just goodies, we're going to put it in the uh >> be in the car with us. >> Okay. >> All right. I'm going to pat you down right over here. Okay. And uh Roy, we're going to separate the uh >> All right. Hang on. Just hang tight. >> Okay. So, you're being you're you're uh being arrested for complicity to aggravated robbery. We'll explain all the details. >> Anything sharp on you? >> No. >> Okay. phone. >> Okay. And that phone's in that bag, right? >> I don't know. You guys, >> right? >> The suspects were charged with aggravated robbery, unlawful possession of firearms, obstructing justice, and criminal mischief. Greed and betrayal can quickly turn a planned crime into a disaster, and the truth will eventually surface, no matter how carefully someone tries to hide it. The drama did not stop there. [music] The next man even cast himself as the victim in his own story. >> You just came up earlier, guys. Telling the truth, bro. >> I got robbed. >> Put your feet in. >> I got robbed. And you're throwing me in jail. >> On the 6th of December, 2025, police approached a man after receiving a report of a disturbance involving him. But when they arrived, he instead claimed that he was the victim of a completely different incident. Let's keep watching. >> What was that? >> Got robbed. >> You want to do a police report? >> Yeah, I got two. >> Okay. Listen, you understand that if you make a false police report, you're going to jail. >> I'm just letting you know. >> You ain't got to let me know. >> I know what a false police consequences of lying to the police. >> Okay. I just want to make that very clear. >> Huh? >> I said I'm a grown man. I understand the law. >> Okay. So, if we review footage, what are we going to see? >> I'm going to see somebody stealing from me, bro. >> Okay. >> In the parking lot of Walmart right there. >> All right. So, give me a rundown of what happened. >> I'm walking to my car like this. I get to my car. I got a Durango. I bought the trunk. I'm assuming y'all got police activity out there in the back. So, everybody's back there kind of looking that way. I'm assuming when I'm looking this way, they're pulling the groceries either from here or by truck. >> You saw it? >> No, I didn't see it. That's why I'm back in here with no groceries. I'm I'm I'm ask I'm doing >> that makes no sense. So, you never saw anybody go in the back of your car to You basically remember loading up groceries. >> You got footage. Just go look at if you think I'm just go look at it. We don't got to play the whole game. Go ahead. >> I'm not That's not That's not what I'm saying. It just seems very >> when you come up here, you say, "Do I know what the future is?" >> Cuz they're saying that >> they feel like you already know who you think I'm saying. >> If you want to let me speak, I'll explain it to you. They're saying that they review footage and that's not what they see. >> What did they say? >> I didn't get to review the footage myself. >> What did they see? I >> I don't know. I have to go see it myself. >> Okay. >> The man claimed that his groceries had been stolen in the store's parking lot, but the surprising part was that he believed the store should be responsible for those items. >> And he went and got everything back. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. You can't do that. I told them I didn't just do that. I'm telling them it's not I understand, but it's not that's not on them. >> Yes, it is. This is their parking lot. Yes, >> it doesn't matter. They're not They're not responsible. That doesn't matter. >> They're not responsible for it. >> Yes, it is. >> Okay, you can say what you want. I'm telling you what they're telling me. They don't want you leaving with the groceries. They don't want you leaving with the groceries. It's just as simple as that. And they're allowed to do that for >> this [ __ ] bro. And I got probably not talking about >> how they're not they're not held responsible for that. You said you was going to go review footage. See, >> which I am. What happens if you see I'm not lying. Then what? >> It doesn't matter. It's up to them. It's a private business. If you don't if you if you feel like they're responsible for it, take them to small claims court and sue them. >> But you can't walk out with these groceries like this >> in Walmart's parking lot. This Walmart li >> Yeah. I don't I don't know what you're doing, but I'm letting you know that if you walk out with these groceries, right, you're shoplifting. I don't I shot nothing and I paid for domestic. >> You pay for the ones that got stolen. >> So why don't we >> But you have to go through the >> Let's go through that process. Come on. Let's go look at >> Well, I don't know if they want you doing that. >> The man grew increasingly frustrated when his situation was not being resolved. And he became even more irritated when store loss prevention employees showed up at the scene. >> Ain't nobody giving a about I just got robbed. Bro, >> that's very infuriating, dog. >> This is what we see. This is what we saw. >> Do you want to listen or No, >> I'm listening. >> Okay. >> All right. So, we saw him get to his car as he's putting his groceries in the trunk. We can see that three people go to the vehicle next to his uh it looks like they stopped between him because it look like they're talking to him. It's hard to really tell from the distance of the >> distracted me and the other two with the doing >> this dude. Like, so he ends up taking the groceries out of his trunk, >> putting them back in the cart, >> moving that. >> He's moving the groceries out of his trunk into the shopping cart. >> Me? >> And pulling the shopping cart across to the next car with the groceries in it. >> Me? >> Yes. >> I took groceries out of my truck, put it back in the cart, and pushed the cart away. Is what you're saying right now? >> Show him that camera, man. Show him that. I >> I'll review it all. Don't worry. I'll review it. >> Me pull groceries out of the truck. is what you see >> and put them in the shopping cart and walk the shopping cart over to the other side. >> You seen this, too? >> Yes. >> Me pulling groceries out of my trunk. >> Yeah. And you leave the cart over. You leave a cart over there and the three people get into the blue infinity that's parked next to your white truck. They reverse out of that spot. >> They get out. They go straight to the shopping cart. Load the stuff up. >> So, my question is, you see me put the groceries in there, not them? >> Yes. >> Why? According to the employees conclusion, there had been no robbery at all. Everything had been done by the man himself, which made the police suspect that he was attempting something suspicious. >> So you guys, >> well, according to video, it does seem like maybe you are doing something. >> I'm not doing a >> Oh my god. I come here every day. >> Okay. So, if I review it and it is what they're saying and you basically lied. >> I didn't lie. Not >> But if the video says if the video shows something completely different than what you're telling me, what's lying? The video or you? So that's what I'm saying is enough of the games. >> I'm not playing. I'm lost in the fact. So it's me doing that. >> Do you guys want them trespassing? >> We don't need them trespass. >> Not a problem. I'm I'm the paying customer. >> What are you talking about trespassing? But we >> I pay I don't steal. I don't rob. I don't scam. >> But according to them, according to them video, listen. According to video, >> that's shocking me. That's the only part that's shutting me up right now. I can't believe that. That part is so unbeliev I'm doing that. >> Can you wait over here and I'll review it? Maybe they're seeing something that they shouldn't. All right, let me review it and I'll come back. >> We'll come right back. We'll come right back. >> Are you going to stay here or you are you going to dip as soon as I leave? >> I'm not going to dip, bro. But I don't want to go to jail behind me getting robbed. I honestly got robbed. >> You walk out with those groceries. >> I'm walking out with the groceries. >> I'm just making it very clear. >> Shortly after, the police reviewed the surveillance cameras to confirm that the employees statements were accurate. But on the other hand, the only thing the man had to support his claim was his repeated insistence that he was a regular customer there. >> This is weird for me, bro. I come here every other a lot of these that work here. That's why they talking to me cuz they personally see me here every day for years. >> I got you. I got you. >> Like, bro, this crazy. I'm not even mad. You know what I'm mad at? I'm mad at this [ __ ] store, bro. I spend money in this every other day. And you tell me you >> That's why I came the way I came. They post the easy say, "Oh, it's 94 day spending my money, bro." >> I got you. [ __ ] >> Like they said, >> you report the Walmart. >> All right. It is >> our parking lot. You not you're not keeping your patron save. I'm a patron and I'm somebody who comes on the regular. I mean, right, not going to lie. Cuz at the end of the day, I do understand what you're saying. You got to be responsible for your own, bro. Well, somebody's taking your [ __ ] out while you're putting it in. That's a one two right there that you [ __ ] ain't stepped on and on top of. That's a whole different analogy. It's cool. >> I I'll repay for it, bro. I can do that, bro. I can I can repay for this [ __ ] I got bread. >> Listen, I'm mad at them. I'm not even My beef ain't even with y'all. It's the mother watch me come in here every day and spend money and then they going to act like this $60 going to kick in their little [ __ ] nuts during Christmas and they know I got Come on, bro. Yeah. >> Do you want me to see if they could do like a store credit >> something, bro? Like I just got robbed and y'all pay to treat me like I'm suspect. Not you. I'm saying like they Bro, you came in here feeling how you felt based off their energy, bro. Based off their energy. I'm somebody who come and spend money in this thing every day, bro. I'm going to be here tomorrow. Whether you here or not, I'm going to be here. And I just got robbed for the first time. I come here for years. And you [ __ ] ain't even trying to look out. Although the story he created sounded very detailed, it ultimately turned into a charge of making a false report once the police had learned the full truth. And what followed was the consequence he had to face car with the items in the shopping cart. You get in your truck, you drive away, and then that car that parked next to you comes and takes the groceries. So for that reason, which I explained to you beforehand, if you provide a false statement, I'm going to take you to jail. >> You just came out and said, >> "I'm taking you to jail." You just came out and said I was telling the truth. up and put your >> You just came out earlier. I was telling the truth, bro. >> We're not going to play this game. >> You just came out here and said that truth to what I said. >> Yeah, you did put the groceries in the car. >> Stop tensing. What the is going on, bro? >> Holy [ __ ] >> What did I tell you? >> I'm white, bro. Would you do this? >> Do this [ __ ] if I got going to jail, bro. What you mean is if you got robbed and got taken to jail, what would happen to you? What would happen at the McDonald's? >> You didn't get robbed, >> bro. Yes, I did. >> Provide a false statement. >> You're lying. >> Okay. And you you came out and said you looked at the camera and seen I ain't lying. >> I'm trying to buy groceries. What? >> Let's go. >> [ __ ] bro. >> Go ahead and sit in the back of the car. >> How do you sleep at night, bro? You You throwing an innocent man in jail. >> I got robbed. Put your feet in. >> I GOT ROBBED. You're throwing me in jail. >> The man was ultimately charged with making a false police report. According to investigators suspicions, the man had staged the robbery story in an attempt to scam the store by forcing them to take responsibility for groceries he had actually removed himself. He believed [music] the scheme would get him money or replacement items for what he had purchased. But instead, it only earned him a ticket straight to jail. Worse, this mom missed her daughter's birthday after trying to steal a gift from Victoria's Secret. >> And I can show you my daughter um >> that tomorrow is really her birthday. >> Okay. >> On September 4th, 2024, police received a report that a woman had concealed merchandise while shopping at a mall. You're just being detained at this time. >> Detained for what though, officer? >> For potentially shoplifting. >> For potentially, not for actually. Potentially. >> So, you're matching the description of somebody that reported shoplifting in a store. >> I just literally got to this mall. So, we're looking at camera footage right now. >> Okay. >> If you didn't shoplift, you'll be on your way. Sometimes people tell me that and then they take off running. >> Do you have anything on you? It's going to pug me, sick, and stab me. Okay. Do you have any pockets on these pants? >> Wait, wait. I think my driver license. >> Your driver license is in your pants? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> Right there. >> I'm I'm not going to go. >> Just let it go. Just let my arm go and I stick my hand and give it. >> Okay. So, it was in your pants. Listen to me. This is your last chance to lie to me if you have any kind of concern. You understand that? Okay. >> Lewis Watson was charged with felony retail theft, providing a false name to law enforcement, and an active warrant out of Valuchia County with a bond set at $970. Maggie Bennett was charged with felony retail theft, providing a false name to law enforcement, and an active warrant out of Putnham County, and was held without bond. Lying and making excuses only made their situation worse, proving that dishonesty will always lead to heavier consequences. Come here. Put your hands on your back. Put your hands on your back. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> You can buy this. >> You can buy this. >> On March 22nd, 2025, police received a report from a Costco store about a woman who was involved in theft at the location. This was what happened after officers arrived at the scene. >> We're going to let you make the 1015 inside the store. We've got consumers. Uh now Costco's policy is they got to exit the store but our general manager says if you make 1025 and send 15 right away we're good. >> My thing she got to make uh uh pass off once. >> Well I know and that's how we are too. >> Yeah. >> Then we post right here. Let us know. >> All right. Good. How are you guys? >> Good. We're good. We're good. We got concealment. She hit us. I'm going to try to give payment for three bottles of restitution. If she don't want to give us payment, I don't care. I'll go to first appearance and and do what I got to do there. But >> but right now she's concealed what? What? How much or $99 bottle of wine that she did two weeks ago. Hit us for two bottles. A week ago hit us for one bottle. Uh and she reports on the bottles. >> Uh no one because now I have her 28. So we want to get everything membership. >> All right. Asian female went away. >> Asian female. Here's what she looks like. Our manager was at her shop couple days ago. >> What she put the wine in >> inside that purse that she's carrying. >> Okay. >> So she's wearing all white and white. So >> you guys got everything on video too, >> huh? >> Everything on video. she we consume it when we got the selection on video from the camera right after consume it. We we saw that. >> According to the manager's statement, this was not her first time and they even had evidence to prove it. >> And I'm going to like I said, I've got the selection. I've got her file dates like >> All right. So, I know you told me. >> All right. So, that's was some time ago when she got so I can get her vehicle information. Yeah. >> Uh that was when she concealed in that bag. >> Mhm. >> Maybe 3 weeks ago. That was her at the register buying whatever she buys. Um, so I don't know if she's the RO of the vehicle, but that's her install. >> So, her first uh 65 was two bottles on the 22nd. Same price, $99.99. Okay. >> Uh, she checked out and then the first bottle and another bottle on the 8th. She hasn't been here since the 8th. She's been coming on Wednesdays. So, >> Okay. >> And the report was uh taken for those. No, we haven't done anything because they want to get the fact that you know everything done >> and uh >> Okay. >> No, no, I know. Yeah. As long as she comes out the door gets her receive check. So, >> let us see >> now after we get done pays >> so people see them. Yeah. So >> at that moment, police proceeded to arrest her and it appeared that she fully understood what was happening to her. See man, come here. Come here. Come here. Come here. Put your hands behind your back. Put your hands behind your back. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> Let's get that. Let's get that. >> All right. There you go. Come here. >> You're being detained. All right. >> You're being detained right now. Put your hands behind your back. >> I keep I keep praying. I keep praying. I keep praying. >> For you detain, please. I keep There you go. Keep doing it. >> So, we going to grab your bag right here. You got porting? >> Yeah. You want to go to the office? You want to go to the office? Uh, I go to the car. Going this way. You sit right here on the hood of my car right here. >> She seemed neither to resist nor to feel any remorse. And she even admitted to part of it while officers searched her bag. >> Ling. Yeah, that's that black one. >> ID. What's your name? >> Ling. >> Ling. So, what's going on, Ling? You know why you in handcuffs? >> Yeah. Why you negle Why are we here? >> Way to find it. >> Why Why are you in handcuffs right now? >> I'm sorry. >> Why are you in handcuffs? Saying you're sorry, but why are you Why are you sorry? What's going on? >> H. >> Yeah. >> Why are you handcuffs right now? >> I'm stealing. >> Okay. You're stealing. What did you steal? >> Yeah. Something. >> Huh? >> Yeah. Some of the medic some of the medication. >> Medication. >> Okay. Medication. What else? >> H >> I don't know. She in handcuff. You stole medication. Anything else that you took? Is there anything else? >> That might be your bag. >> All right. So, we just do this. >> Yeah. Going to the office. Where's it at? I still got my paperwork. >> Yeah, my Yeah. Yeah. I just wanted Okay. So, question. >> Yeah. >> Are these yours? >> Did you Did you buy this? >> No. >> Did you buy this? >> No, I'm not. >> Did you buy this? >> No, I'm not. >> Did you buy this? >> Nope. >> You bought this? >> No, I'm not. did not. Okay. Yes or no? Did you buy this? >> No, you did not. >> Did you buy this? >> Not a single item had been paid for. And at that moment, the store manager also wanted to say a few words to her. >> So, um on 222, we've got you selecting two bottles, one at that time and that time. Our inventory auditor marked them off as steps so we know you took those bottles because we don't have them. Another bottle after that. Now totally your choice on whether or not you want to repay for the bottles you've taken in the past. I have you on film taking the bottles. >> If you want to, we will ring you up a receipt and give you a a total amount to be paid for those three bottles. If you don't, I will be at first appearance with you trying to get restitution from the judge in a month or 3 weeks, however it is. Do you want to make payment for the bottles that you take in your house? Okay. >> Get ring up three more bottles. These are the dates and times for our notes. Three more bottles of the Farnante from the 22nd and the 8th. >> We'll let her I don't know. I would let her do what the last guy did the check and come back and pay it. >> She wants to pay right now. She can pay now. >> So, yeah. So, we can we can we have a membership. Bring her up for two balls. We'll put it in the court. Police also discovered a few things about this suspect. In fact, she was fully capable of paying for those items. >> How much money she has still? >> She she runs along other companies. She has this whole thing. Just all the money took out. Look at all this >> for today's thing. for today's job. >> No, they're not. >> She should launch hers. >> Yes. So, >> and she's coming to via >> That's getting pretty. >> Thank you. >> Okay. So, you >> And then you saw what you you pulled out. You saw what you pulled out inside, which is $300. $300. >> The woman was charged with petty theft. In addition, her store membership was permanently revoked and she was banned from returning to the location. Greed can cost more than the stolen goods. Just because someone can afford to pay doesn't mean they won't risk everything for a quick thrill. And that choice can follow them long after the handcuffs click shut. Next, we moved on to the woman who was being exploited. >> Ma'am, just need to talk to you. Just stop for a second. Just stop for a second. Right. We're just here to talk to you. >> You guys rented it. Somebody rented it though, right? >> Mhm. On February 3rd, 2023, the police received a call from a Herz store reporting a fraud scheme carried out by a woman. The suspect was believed to have used a fake ID. Upon arrival, the employee also provided a brief statement about the incident. >> Say it again. >> The driver's license she's presenting is showing that it would be fraudulent in our system, >> which is what we've been seeing. She just made the reservation. When I asked for a second form, she had to go get it from her brother's car cuz she's trying to leave. So, we've been seeing a lot of um people fraudulently obtaining drivers. >> That's the one right here. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Yes. 413. >> The female suspect appeared to be attempting to leave, forcing the police to quickly intervene and stop her. >> Ma'am, you need to stop. Ma'am, just need to talk to you. Just stop for a second. Just stop for a second. All right. >> We're just here to talk to you. All good. All right. Okay. So, come with me. All right. All good. >> We're just going to talk to you. >> They said the IV was fake. Somebody gave me IV and 450. We were unable to copy what you said. They actually give them a letter in their name. >> Where? >> Okay. >> And they was like, they gave me their ID. So, I did it. I didn't know was I was going to get in trouble for it. Like, very bad in trouble for it. >> So, you you use somebody else's ID? >> Okay. Do you know who it was that you used the ID? >> Um, I don't know the name. I >> I know the person who gave me the ID. >> Okay. So, you got it from somebody you know? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Were you trying to rent it from? >> Mhm. >> Okay. All right. Do you um They took the ID from you? >> Yeah. The people got it. How come you're not using your ID? >> Um, I don't have a license. >> You don't have a license? You know, you can't have a car, by the way. I'm sorry. >> Are you with somebody? >> Um, I was in Uber. >> You Ubered in here? >> Mhm. >> Where is your ID right now? >> Um, in my purse. Let me I'm going to have you put your hands on your Thank you. No, you're good. You can put your hands down. I just don't want in your pocket. I'm cold. >> I know. I know it's cold, but we just got to keep your hands out. Okay. >> Okay. Why don't we >> I'm going to >> go to our office where it's warmer. Eh, >> we can figure out. >> From the suspect's responses, it became clear that she was working for a fraud organization. Shortly after, a search of her person was conducted. >> Okay. Um, you got anything in your purse or your just I need to worry about leaving you? No, just charger in my car. All right. Don't reach in your pockets. It's all good. No, no, it's okay. to the back. I don't want to step on my foot. So, you just started open. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Girl, shut the [ __ ] up, [ __ ] for a drink. Ready? >> Yeah. So, what were you going to do at Helping Hands? What was your new position? >> I don't want to be. >> Well, did you commit a crime? >> I don't Is that >> Okay. Where is your real ID in this? >> Somewhere in there. >> What name will we find when we're >> All right. What was the name on the license that you gave? >> Okay. So, your friend gave you is not your friend's ID though either. >> Okay. >> At the police station, the woman appeared to admit everything once she realized the situation, but her personal information and other documents still forced the police to verify and uncover the details on their own. >> The who rented the car? Um, it's in the name. >> It's in the name on your the ID. >> Yeah. [snorts] >> All right. >> But you didn't you you rented it or somebody just told you to go pick it up? >> Yeah. >> I'm sorry. That's probably I >> So, is it just laying loose in here or is it in a purse or what? like the side pockets over here. >> Here's the the we >> So, you guys rented it. Somebody rented it though, right? >> Mhm. And you said your friend, what's your friend's name? >> Brandon Gibson. >> What is it? >> Brandon Gibson. >> Brandon Gibson. And he said he rented the car. He paid for it ahead of time. >> Okay. You didn't have to present a credit card or anything? >> All right. Copy. I'm wondering if the credit card that they rented it with was also fake or that went through. >> So, you just got hired at Hoping Hands today? >> Yeah. Well, no, I got hired like last week, but I >> Oh, today's your first day at Hoping Hands. It became evident that she knew little about the scheme as she was merely being used to rent the car as part of the organization's theft operation. Even when questioned by detectives, she struggled to provide clear answers about the situation. >> I was never told that I was just going to sh drop it off and I was just going to park it outside my mom house and go to work. I'm not going to lie. >> So, you were going to park the car outside of your mom's? >> Yes. I just said that. Well, like you have trouble seeing, I have trouble hearing, >> so please bear with me. I uh I'm a little older. >> I'm just trying to hurry up and go down to the jail. I know. I don't want to talk no more. >> Not going out. This stressing making me have another stroke. >> Well, we don't want you to have any kind of stroke. We don't want you to be under stress. However, we are trying to >> Okay, that's all I know. That's all I can tell you. I don't know nothing else. She was charged with theft of property and identity fraud for using another person's information to unlawfully obtain a rental vehicle. This case showed that blindly following others in illegal schemes could still lead to serious consequences even if you were not the mastermind. Even more confusing, the man continued displaying extremely bizarre behavior. >> He's in Yeah, he's in the He's scrolling. >> He was in the bathroom laid out in there. >> I mean, I don't think it's illegal. It just says uh something done by a motion picture. >> On the 30th of April 2025, the police received a call from Walmart about the appearance of a man behaving strangely inside the store. The officers quickly detained the suspect and brought him to the loss prevention room where his actions were clearly described. >> First, it wasn't my fault. Okay. >> She That's her right here. She said I get we get him by the >> That's him right there. I ain't get him by the uh register though. >> When he was taking stuff, >> that was the other day. >> That was today. That was That was before y'all walked in. >> So what? He changed clothes or something? >> No. >> No. The picture I showed you was from Sunday. >> Oh, I see. >> Yeah. This is the day. >> Yeah. This is what he was just doing today on the ground right here. >> He's in Yeah, he's in the he's scrolling. [ __ ] >> He was in the bathroom laid out just said he >> tripping man. He might be on something like it's like alcohol bottle in the bathroom. >> Okay. >> Yeah, we got seen. >> He was laid out in the bathroom. So, we went to go check on him cuz he had been >> see then he tried to get in the restaurant right here. >> Okay. Bet. Okay. I might need you. All right. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. She said, "Are y'all coming to get the customer?" >> They kind of focus. >> Got it. [laughter] >> His actions were considered quite bizarre, making the employees question whether he might have had a mental illness. He don't look like he having like mental issues or whatever. >> I don't know. High. >> No, he's high or something. Drunk. >> He most definitely had some sense the other day when he came here. >> I don't He went to He flushed something. He might have flushed whatever he whatever he had when I went to the bathroom. But the alcohol bottles there [clears throat] spin that. >> Look at he going to pick this up. >> He going there. >> Did he put anything on that book pocket that he got or no? >> I mean, possibly. He he possibly could have cuz when >> I seen him put something on his person, but I don't know if he put anything in the book bag. No, he got some stuff now. He couldn't do something. >> Yeah, he most definitely opened that soda and was drinking that at the register. But when we first seen him at selfch checkout stuff, [laughter] >> that's him. >> Okay, she's over here. Yeah. >> During the observation, they saw that the man brought money to attempt a payment, but the bill was actually unusable. And the police then verified this. >> Turn around this way. >> I got your legs from a friend. But that's what I want to know. >> It's not fake either. >> The $100 bill. Yeah, that's fake. >> It's not fake. It's from a movie. >> Yeah. You try to pay for you try to pay at Walmart with that. Yeah, cuz it's from a movie. I thought no one would know this. >> I mean, I don't think it's illegal. It just says uh something about motion picture. Put this somewhere. No credit card. >> I don't got nothing on. >> You got anything else? >> No, I just want my phone and my backpack. That's it. I didn't I >> Okay. How was he? >> Although he admitted that it was fake money, he immediately tried to act innocent by making the excuse that he did not know. You trying to use counterfeit money? >> Oh, I didn't know. >> I thought it was real. That's You can smell it, too. It's real. >> I don't know. >> Oh, there it is. >> That's from the movies. You get that from the movies. >> Oh my goodness. >> Oh, that's not from here. to go. [clears throat] >> The man was charged with attempting to use counterfeit currency to make a purchase, consuming store merchandise without paying for it, and possessing store items with the apparent intent to steal. This case showed that trying to use fake money, and casually using store items without paying only turned a small situation into multiple criminal charges. Next, even after being caught three times, the woman still felt no remorse. >> I I do apologize. I do apologize. >> So, >> but I I do have the baby. >> Mhm. We need to take care of. Okay. All right. You stand back for me. Okay. >> I'm 14. >> On the 14th of November 2024, officers were dispatched to Target's loss prevention office after staff detained a woman suspected of committing fraud during checkout. Upon arrival, employees provided statements regarding the incident. >> Oh, what up, dude? Good to see you. How you doing? >> Good. How are you, sir? >> Good, man. So, today I have Miss Angel Powell. Today, she was in selfch checkout with all of these using these tags to make it all cheaper. These are like $150 each. She had all of these like attached to like that. Hit hit my uh prosecution guidelines. This is for you. You can have that. I don't need that anymore, but um I'm going let you take it over from here. >> Got you. Cuz >> I pretty much have mostly everything I need from her. >> Okay, got you. >> So, did you have an ID with you? >> Thank you, man. >> You see your current address >> on Highway 138 in this? Okay. All righty. What happened today? >> Switching out. Okay. Police confirmed this was not their first encounter with the woman. She had committed similar acts before and it became even more evident when she began using manipulative tactics involving her circumstances. >> Department of [snorts] policy. I'm supposed to take you to the big time jail right now. But you got that first baby with you. [music] >> I I do apologize. I do apologize. >> So, >> but I I do have the baby. Mhm. >> But Oh, sorry. >> Where's your family at? They're the ones at work. I don't have anyone to come get them >> and I don't have no one to come get them. >> I think you would rather have >> who you can call to come get him than who we have to call to come get him. >> Yeah. >> I'm just >> I don't have nobody to come get him. I >> I don't want you crying and all that, but >> Yeah. I don't have nobody. >> You don't have to call your family. >> Where's your family at? >> The ones at work. >> Where? My mom This is it. >> Um in Fairville. >> In Fairville. You think you can call mom? She was like her first cycle. She had several cycles. >> So, one of them went She said that went to pre and now we're going to have two more cases. >> So, that's three in. Yeah. Don't be When did you uh leave chicken salad chick? >> I left chicken side chick in I want to say July or maybe August. >> That's where you used to work. >> Yes. >> The one right there. >> I ain't never seen you in there. I just I'm not saying you're lying. I'm just saying I never seen [laughter] >> her uniform right there. >> No, no, no, no. I'm just saying that I used to I'm sorry. Wait a baby. Immediately afterward, loss prevention staff also uncovered past incidents linked to the woman and began confirming the total value of the losses. >> Um, so this one back in August was uh 206. >> And today is how much? >> Today was 136. >> You ain't got no bag, do you? >> No, sir. >> All right. Thank you. >> Did you say 06? >> Huh? >> Did you say you were going to say 06? One six. >> One six. >> Is that yours? >> Oh, okay. Is that yours? [laughter] >> I was going to say you was going to say 06. >> We look nothing alike [laughter] >> with me. Have someone on the way where he has to go with him. That that's probably where we're going to be at is we're probably going to end up making upon you shopping. >> We got three here at this store. >> We got >> I guarantee you got a bunch of >> one in South Punch. >> Well, you was the one who just said that you was in Fville that day. So, if we run your face through their system >> and link you up in any of their other cameras. >> I have a clean. >> I know. That's why you brought them with you cuz you said those sweet Peach Street City cops, they're so nice and handsome and they ain't going to take me to jail. >> Well, I got this cute little baby with me. >> Based on what had occurred, officers reached several conclusions and began explaining the situation to the woman. >> Then took seven days, three consecutive times, cuz that would be considered a crime spree. Then you would be getting a felony charge. But after a certain amount of convictions on um >> I thought you just said good thing is >> good thing is you ain't getting a felony. >> Yeah. >> Good thing is well yeah >> but there is some good thing is it's a misdemeanor. So that means [music] that you just >> you'll have a preset bond. >> Preset bond. >> What does that mean? >> That means you don't have to see a judge. You'll go in, they'll book you in probably about 3 or 4 hours. >> That's better than you spend the night. [clears throat] >> Oh yeah. So somebody might still come pick me up. >> Well, my uncle, he's an attorney, so you have to >> Oh, yes, sir. >> Who's your uncle? >> Uncle Ronald. >> What's the um >> What's the amount of I can do? I can do her. Um I can do a citation for >> So this is this is the one on Halloween that I'm right now to make sure it is. This first time, the first time I saw her, cuz when I saw her there, I was like, "She look." >> Um, this one was 206. >> Okay. >> That was August 21st. [snorts] >> And then she What did she It was the same thing. >> Closed. No, >> I'm saying it was the ticket. >> Mhm. 150. >> No. Yeah. Um, it wasn't. [snorts] >> You said 206. With three cases uncovered, the woman showed no remorse and it was clear she would not be released easily at that point. Officers proceeded with their course of action. >> All right, Miss Pow. So, we're going to do great to get you down there. We need you to take care of. Okay. All right. Just stand back for me. Okay. >> Unfortunate, but I do have to do it this way. Okay. in the locking so they won't tighten up on you. >> 134 show 1361 1095. >> You don't have anything on here, right? >> No. >> All right. If if it's something that you don't tell me about and the jail finds it like just a little bit of weed, a little bit of blunt and away from this automatic felony. Okay. >> Okay. All right. All right, I'll get you everything now. See you again on my super family still here, >> huh? >> Who her family? >> I thought uncle your uncle just coming. He took the graveyard. >> Yeah, he did. He did. He did that. Oh, >> they got the gun. >> Oh, yeah. >> Ultimately, the woman was charged with multiple counts of retail theft after being linked to a series of fraudulent checkout incidents, repeated deception, and refusal to take responsibility will eventually expose a pattern of wrongdoing, turning minor offenses into far more serious consequences. Now, temporarily stepping away from retail stores and shifting the mood to this bank fraud case, >> I would tell you. I will tell you if you work with me. I would tell you. I will tell you. >> And if something happened to me, I can't go to jail if somebody >> on the 29th of April 2025, police received a call from a bank reporting that a woman attempted to open a checking account using someone else's identification. And everything only became more suspicious when she tried to avoid officers as they approached her. >> Can you do so real quick? >> Sure. >> All right. Can we just go here? >> Yeah. >> This is your stuff right here? >> Yes. >> Is that your car right there? >> No. Can I Can I use this officer quick? >> Sure. So, you're not making a call. >> Okay. >> Put your hand behind your bath, please. >> Excuse me. Please don't lose me. Put your hands behind your back. >> I don't want to hurt you. Don't hurt me. >> Okay. Give me a hand. Give me a hand. Give me your hand. >> Let me make a call to my kids. >> We can do that afterwards. All right. >> Please don't do this to me. >> I was trying to ask you a simple question. >> I'll tell you. Let me in. Please. I'll tell you. Please. I can't go through this. >> Listen. Listen. Listen. >> Listen. I got somebody. I'm going through something and I I can't go through this. >> Okay. >> I can't go through this right now. Do you not understand this, sir? I cannot go through this right now. Do you understand what I'm saying to you? >> No. We will get there, though. Just Just take a seat. I will tell you. I will tell you. >> All right. >> You understand what I'm saying? I would tell you. >> Just take a seat for please. All right. >> Her pleading indirectly admitted her own guilt. But completely contrary to her cooperating, her panic made the situation more difficult. >> I can't go. I can't go. Can I please call my mother? Can I please call my mother? Ma'am, just [laughter] >> you're not understanding what's going on with me. I can't go through this, sir. Please, I can't go through this. Please don't do this to me. >> Do not get out of that cup. If you just let me go, please turn this way. >> Can I tell you something? Can I tell you something? between me and you. >> I know you don't care about me. >> Turn around. >> I [laughter] just want you to know something. I'm in danger. And if something happened to me, I can't go to jail here, sir. Somebody something happened to my kids. >> Ma'am, give me a [laughter] >> You don't have no idea what's going on with me. You have no idea what's going on with me. You have no idea. >> You have small ass wrists. Good lord. I have no idea what's going on with me. Can I call my mother? I want my daughter safe. >> We [laughter] can handle all that for you. Okay. >> If he seen y'all come here, something's going to happen to my baby. >> It was clear she chose to commit the wrongdoing. Yet, she automatically cast herself as the victim while officers worked with bank employees to fully understand the situation. >> She was trying to use somebody's account. >> She was trying to open an account with somebody else's social >> that already has an account here. My poor baby. I want to see her walk across [clears throat] that stage. >> Oh god. >> What's your mom's name in here? Just mom. What's your >> I'm not opening my phone. I'm sorry. >> If she had thought about her loved ones before committing the wrongdoing, the outcome might have been different. But now she could hardly change the ending. >> I'm sorry. >> Oh, >> you can just uncip it. It just like >> it's like a button. >> I like this. >> Come on outside. Roll the windows down so you get some air. >> Okay. Just letting you know you are under arrest. Okay. [laughter] But I just need to read something to you [gasps] before you start talking again. Okay. [laughter] You have the right to remain silent. >> Anything you say will be used in court as evidence against you. They cut my >> Turn around and face that way. I can get two fingers in each one of these. >> Is my fingers is burning. You can feel them. I can get two. >> This one. >> The left one. >> Jewel. >> Sit back a little bit. >> Do you need ambulance? Jewel, >> do you need ambulance? [laughter] >> You said you do. >> Jewel, can you hear me? >> It was clear the situation had already been exposed and the guilt had been acknowledged. Yet, she still could not accept it and kept asking questions that already had answers. >> What's the reason for all this? everything. >> I know life is [laughter] complicated. >> Wise to me. >> I know you're going through something. I get it. Okay. People do things. It happens. >> Okay. >> There you go. Good. Deep breath. It's okay. It's not the end of the world. This ain't, you know, some crazy crime. Don't do that. [clears throat] Okay. You'll be right back. This ain't the >> This ain't the end of the world. This stuff happens, right? >> It is. >> No, you'll be fine. >> It is. Are you kind for saying that? >> You really are kind. >> I promise you. >> You kind. >> How you doing, man? >> Hey, how are you? >> Good. This is Juwel. Uh Juel was hyperventilating. She just had a panic attack. Has anything hurt on you, Jewel? >> This one thing is you had anxiety attacks before. >> Shortly after, officers searched the woman's bag and discovered she was not struggling financially as she had claimed. >> She got money in here. >> Yeah, that's a whole lot in there. I >> count it. >> Yeah, you camera. 1. Show me around. Uh, >> I [ __ ] Uh, 2167. >> Bro, you're not even a customer, dude. Right. >> She was formally charged with fraud and taken into custody. Panic, denial, and self-pity only made it worse. Facing hardship with honesty would always leave a better path than trying to escape through wrongdoing. >> And then just conceal. >> You are under arrest. >> Put that. >> I stole. Where did I steal? Where? >> On February 19th, 2025, officers received a report from the Meyer store after two suspects acted aggressively towards staff. But there were still many hidden details concealed beneath the baby stroller beside her. This was what unfolded when police arrived at the scene. >> Ma'am, hang up the phone, please. >> Huh? >> Can you hang up the phone, please? >> Why? >> So I can talk with you. So I guess you and another male ran out the store. You guys trying to take something or >> No, nobody didn't take nothing. >> Okay. Were they trying to talk to you? >> He was talking to me. He let me go. He got everything back. It wasn't even nothing but a hat. >> It's a cohort hat. Sorry. >> Okay. Where's uh is that >> boyfriend? Husband. He didn't take nothing. Yes. >> Where's he at? >> Pull it up. Yes. >> Ma'am, one more time. Hang the phone up. >> Yes. >> Until we figure this out. All right. >> Okay. Come on. >> Do you have a car here? >> Yes. >> Where's your car at? >> It's It's coming. Sit down. >> Okay. Is it the male who took the car? >> He didn't take nothing, D. >> Okay. But he took the car and left you guys. Is that right? >> No. >> I was in there shopping. He went to go get some food. That was it. That's all. >> All right. You got your ID on you? >> Yes. It's in the car with my purse. >> She denied every accusation the officers made, but it raised the question of whether this had been premeditated because as soon as they approached the second suspect, he showed the same level of caution. >> Investigation. I'll be in detail. >> Hey. Yes, you are. Right. So, you just park the car. All right. We're going to ID. You guys going to be on your way. >> Just tried to pay for this. She didn't even want to let us pay for this [ __ ] >> What happened? >> I'm talking to you. What happened? >> They trying to say I stole. I ain't steal. That's all that matters. I ain't steal nothing. >> You got your ID on you. >> Sit back. You have to sit back. >> Sit back. You have to sit back. >> Chill out. Are you saying you did not steal anything? >> It's on camera. Check it out. >> Did you Did you walk out the door with anything? >> Check it out. I appreciate you. >> Hang tight for me. All right. >> Can you just like You can walk. We can park. I just want to get out on you. I'm ask >> No, I'm just saying like can we can you just walk right here so I can park it? >> No, it's okay. We just I'm not worried about nobody else. All right. >> Thank you. >> Yep. >> Chill out. Get out. Get out. >> Despite the prior suspicions and accusations, the woman mentioned an incident involving a hat. So, the officers attempted to uncover the story behind it through her account. >> Quick brief summary. Just tell me what's going on. Why was there >> the hat? Well, we tried to buy it, but he act like we couldn't buy. He said police officer. And I don't know. He was trying to say no race stuff, but he looked like he was one of them. You know, we black. So, he wanted us to say I guess he wanted us to not pay and just talk to y'all. >> Okay. So you guys had a hat where and you said you were planning on paying it. >> Yeah. Cohort. The cohort hat. I don't know if you know if it's what it is, but it's Cohart. >> Cohart. Yeah. >> Put it back. He He got it. >> Okay. Did you guys have a card or anything or were you just >> cash like push grocery cart? That's what I'm saying. >> Oh yeah. >> Okay. So you guys had a grocery cart. Whatever. >> He was going I was going shopping. >> They ain't got nothing I see. are like, >> but it seemed the officers had a different version of events based on the employees statement. Started watching them looked like they're concealing underneath the baby. Long story short, they did went to stop him. They stopped her, stopped her with backup, went and he came back and start getting very hostile yelling. I'll just trip right here. I ain't got [ __ ] on me, a word I'm not going to say. Stuff like that. >> Okay. So once we got like right here, she goes, "This pulls everything out cuz she's going to go and ditch it." And I'm like, "No, you got to keep coming with me." She's like, "I got to grab something else." I'm like, "No, no, no. Hold on." Finally, one sweet guy right there. She goes, "This pulls everything out." Walked out the door. >> Okay. You guys didn't put any clothing. >> And your like sweatshirt, anything like that. You didn't put in the baby stroller, baby carriage. >> I gave it all. I gave them back to them. >> Those two are together. >> Yes. These two. She's the one that committed the theft. She walked out with it. He was just selecting merchandise with her, but we picked them up and they were way back here. >> So, they like the jeans, the hoodie. >> There's some other things I can't remember off the top of my head. Jeans, hoodie that they put back. There's a white shirt, black jeans, two hats. I think that I believe that's it. >> Okay. >> It was a total of 11876. >> Yep. >> What is she selecting there? >> Uh, she was just concealing merchandise, but the >> All right. Can you show me that again? Yep. See, you seal them real close in there and then just conceal it like that. And of course, it wasn't just the woman because shortly after the man was also confirmed to be fully involved in the incident. Amir, it's going to be end up being both. The male aided in selecting the merchandise. She concealed it and the baby carrier total loss is 118 bucks. LP says they were stopped at the door. >> Was the merchandise recovered? >> Yes. >> All of it was >> Yes. >> All merchandise was recovered. >> I'm clear. They were received theft charges or trespass or DC. What we what we think uh we're going to do. >> They do want to proceed with it. I think we're for the male it's going to be more of a complicity. They we just noticed something with the mail involved. So, we're going to double check to make sure he did not conceal anything in his pants and stuff as well. All right, I've got loss prevention here. We're working on some affidavit real quick and I'm going to get a copy of the receipt now. >> With the evidence becoming increasingly clear, the officers finally decided on their next course of action, but the suspects didn't make it easy. Time >> isn't. Are you good if I pat you down? >> No. >> No, you're not. >> Me down for it. But to make sure that you didn't steal anything. >> I asked him did he want me to strip [ __ ] naked? He told me no. I was going to >> I'm asking you. >> Hello. >> So you asked me to search me because you felt like I stole pat you down. >> I'm not going to search you. >> Hold this man. Let me sh my bandit. >> My bandit. >> No sir. You are under arrest. >> What? >> I stole? When did I steal? Here. How did I steal? >> You guys don't have to walk out with the merchandise. >> Hold on. How did I steal? >> We're going to go over all that. >> Hold on. How the did I just steal when I ain't had [ __ ] >> bro? What? >> How did I >> You were also not free to go. Okay. All right. >> Don't drive off. All right. >> He's going to go in the back of the car. I'm going this guy. >> You just said I stole. How did I You're >> not going to jail as of right now. So, do not drive off. Do you understand, Miss Ramy? Do you understand? Okay. >> Can I get another? >> Just Just hang tight for me. All right. >> I walk over to my car over here. >> Y'all basically cutting me up because I was hostile. Y'all didn't like that. That's what's going on. That's what's going on. Basically, just be honest. Y'all didn't like that. I was being hostile with the situation due to the fact I didn't steal. What am I stealing for? I have money on me. I asked him, "Did he want me to buy this shit?" He said, "No." He tried to make me go back there. I told him, "No, I ain't steal [ __ ] What am I going back there for?" and I walked out. So, how did I steal? Keith, >> the man kept talking non-stop, trying everything he could, but it clearly didn't change the outcome. Shortly after, the officers attempted to explain to him why he was facing this situation. >> I'm imperson There's an officer in there. He's reviewing body camera or camera footage. So, you told me you told us to go check the cameras and somebody's doing that. And that's what it shows. You're trying to conceal merchandise. >> It shows me dropping it in the car seat. That don't mean that we trying to steal anything. >> Okay. What the? >> All right. >> So, that was the answer to your question. >> Then I asked him about buy [ __ ] He said no. So, can I go in here and buy that [ __ ] >> No. >> Like I said, you're under arrest. >> All right. Cool. Close the door. That's all it is. >> Got to get your seat belt. All right. Mr. Horn, these are loss prevention guys. All right. You already met them. All right. They're going to give you a trespass. All right. From all Myers. All right. >> So, [clears throat] I'm just going to ask you to listen to them. >> I'm still going to justice. >> You're still going to just center? That doesn't change nothing. >> So, close the door. >> You don't want to talk to What is What am I talking about? I didn't steal [ __ ] >> I'm going to trespass you from the Green Township Meer. Okay. >> I didn't steal. >> That's okay. It has nothing to do with anything. I could >> trespass you because they don't want you here. All right. So, don't ever come back to Green Township Meer. Got it. You understand that? If you were found here at Green Township and be arrested, right on. >> So, I stole. So, you found me. >> You're trespassing me with something. Did I steal your picture? I need a picture of you from >> I'm asking you a question. Did I steal? Yes or no? >> I'm listening the officer. >> I'm asking you a question. >> In the end, both the man and the woman were charged with theft. The man was booked and released while the woman was given a scheduled court date. Actions have consequences. Denial and resistance won't erase evidence. And staying calm and cooperative can often lead to a better outcome. >> I got money right here. >> Hey, can you let me just pay for my stuff? I I have already run it over. You going to take me to jail, right? And I paid for my merchandise, right? You sitting right here seeing me on camera pay for myself. >> On the 16th of November 2023, officers received a call from Walmart reporting a shoplifting incident and the female suspect was said to have been detained in their loss prevention office shortly after. This was what happened when officers arrived at the scene. >> Hey, you guess we press some charges. >> Hello. >> Okay, I answered this before you even tried to take me to jail, anything like that. They saying I didn't ring all my stuff up, but already I had rung all my stuff up. And even if I even if I don't have to ring all my [ __ ] up, I still had money to pay for this. Why? That's why I trying to tell him and I was about to pay for it. And basically, he just trying to basically I mean the point of sale. Like I said, >> that's what you what you getting a police officer for and I could pay for my That's what I'm telling you. >> That's why I come next to you. I ain't tell you what the point of sale was stolen merchandise. That's your mistake. >> I ain't steal nothing, bro. I pay for my security. >> What I'm telling you is do it make sense for them to call the police and I got money right here for snacks for some little [ __ ] like this. >> Well, so let me explain to you how shoplifting works. Okay. Um once you pass all point of sales and you make it obvious that you don't plan on buying the items, that's when you commit the crime. Okay. It's completely up to the quote unquote victim in this case, which the victim being Walmart, on whether or not they want to allow you to pay for the items or not and then just be done with it. Right? >> That's what I'm That's what I'm telling you. You you ask you can I pay for my shing listen >> listen to me quit stealing >> if they don't want to allow you to pay for it >> just allow me to pay for my sh >> and they press charges then that's their decision >> and I got money right here >> the woman attempted to use multiple excuses to downplay her wrongdoing but she never actually denied it at that point the officers made their decision >> and I got money in my head >> do a favor put your hands behind your back okay Come on, Joe. >> Yes. Behind your back for shoplifting. >> I pay for stuff. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> Okay. So, what about my pain though? What about that? >> Give me your head. >> Hey, stay against the wall. Do what I tell you to do or you're going to catch another charge. Do you understand me? >> Take a couple deep breaths and paid for that stuff. You don't see him. You don't see him. Face the wall. Stand right there. >> You don't see You don't see the M. Hey, >> stop. Do what I tell you to do or you will catch another charge. Do you understand me? >> Calm down. >> But you you you putting me in handcuffs for nothing. You can't even turn back. >> Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. It's done. >> I hate the [ __ ] police, man. >> Good. I'm glad. >> All right. Let me put my >> 1375 for forensics. >> Hand me this. Let it go. >> Are you serious? >> Face the wall. Stop. quit moving. Do what I tell you to do or you're going to go. >> So, you really going to let this man take me to jail? And I paid for >> The woman acted disruptively to appear innocent and held on to the belief that she was being wrongfully forced into jail, but in reality, her actions on camera told a very different story. >> Yeah, right. It's just >> Yes, ma'am. >> Mhm. >> Did you see the last part of my text? to custo. >> Stay against the wall. Scoot over. Stay right there. Do not move. >> Got him doing the video doing the thing now. >> All right. Yes, ma'am. >> Some paid for. >> Hey, just paid for $24 worth of stuff and stole approximately $50 worth of stuff. >> Okay, but listen. Check this out. I want some real dad. Hey, so okay, you going to take me to jail, right? And I pay for my merchandise, right? And you sitting right and seeing me on camera pay for my stuff. I'm talking to the officer, too. You don't even You only see me pay for my stuff. >> What did I just tell you? Stay against the wall. >> Okay, but you missing the part I'm watching. You missing the part. >> Stop talking for like 3 minutes and let me watch the video. >> You're missing the part where I paid for >> Stop talking. We haven't got to that part. >> All right. All right. All right. All right. But you missing that part. >> All this talking you're doing is not helping your case. >> I pay it at that. >> So it doesn't ring it up. >> You missing the part where I paid at cuz I'm I'm looking I'm looking right right at the video where I'm paying for my [ __ ] at. >> So that's not pay for it. Pays for two items. Puts five in a bag. Two items. Five in a bag. >> And even if I But I scan all that stuff. So, you mean if I didn't scan it and I got the money? I told him to ring it up and just go ahead and pay go ahead and let me pay for it. You see, I got the money right here. And you see I paid for my >> and you still couldn't just ring it up. I'm talking to you, man. Blue sir. Hello. >> And then do you have her walking out? >> Yeah. >> She constantly interrupted as officers tried to understand the situation as if she could manipulate them to her advantage. But when confronted with what they had seen, she nervously denied everything. They have you on camera shoving bags of potato chip. Huh? >> I did not. I paid for them. That's what I'm telling you. You ain't seen they see You ain't seen me on there paying for the stuff. >> No, you were shoving them straight from the buggy into the bag. >> I scanned them. >> You did not scan them. I watched it on camera with my own two eyes. >> But I paid what I'm telling you is I >> So, how much money did you spend? >> I spent 27 something. >> And how much was all the stuff worth? >> Just doing it right now. >> The chil The ch the chil is worth 20. The chips was like $10. >> $24. >> It's 27. >> I think she stole around 50. I GUESS >> HOW HOW I ONLY HAD 10 bags OF CHIPS. DID YOU even count? >> Listen to me. If you keep screaming, we can't. >> I only have 10 bags of chips. The chips was a dollar. I got all that money right there. You can't let me go for it. >> That's not my choice. That's theirs. >> And I And I had paid for stuff. >> If you move all past points of sale without paying >> Hey, can y'all can y'all talk real quick? >> So, what's fixing to happen is a female is coming. She's going to search you. >> Okay. My money right there. Okay. >> You going to take me to jail for $10? Basically, >> they want to press charges of chips. >> They want to press charges. I have to. I don't have a choice. If they want to press charges, they tell me I want to press charges. I have to. Hey. Hey. >> I can guarantee you they're not going to respond to you when you keep trying to interrupt them and yelling at them. Okay. Honestly, I would probably assume the whole reason you're in this situation in general because you have a horrible attitude. And I can tell that right now. I'm That's just my assumption. And I've only been here 5 minutes, but I'm assuming they are so steadfast on pressing charges cuz of how bad your attitude is and how dismissive you are. >> I'm telling you, I had 10 bag of chips. All right. >> Okay. They're fixing to bring a receipt with everything and then a receipt of stuff that you paid for and we're going to compare them and if they don't match, then you are going to jail. >> Okay. But I already had paid for. I don't know if the lady took took some of the stuff off my >> At that point, a female officer arrived and a search was conducted on the woman revealing another issue from inside her pocket. >> And you couldn't even knew she had that too. I'm going to put this back in her pocket. >> Will you put all this back in there, too? >> You already? >> No, I have not yet. Uh, do you have a car outside? So, check it out. When you have property like this that the jail won't take, cuz you're taking your >> Well, I'm taking it to the property room and logging in for safety. Okay. You don't have an ID. You don't get your shoes back out of the property room. >> Do you want your money in your pocket or do you want this in the property room? >> Okay. >> My damn money. >> What's your last name? >> She was ultimately charged with misdemeanor shoplifting, obstruction, and marijuana possession. Trying to argue, interrupt, and deflect responsibility only made the situation worse when clear evidence exists. Staying calm, cooperative, and honest is often the only way to avoid turning a small mistake into serious consequences. >> She's in up here. >> All right, I got him. >> Come on over here. >> On December 17th, 2022, officers responded to a call from Walmart after receiving reports of a couple caught shoplifting on site. Upon arriving, the suspects attempted to leave, instantly escalating the tension. >> You too. >> Hey. >> Hey. Come on. >> Hold on. We got officers. >> 33 to 70 and 90. We're going to make contact in the store if you all just want to each take a door. >> Why are you running? Are you running that way? >> Hey, sir. How you doing? Do me a favor. Put your hands behind your back. You're being detained. >> What? >> Put your hands behind your back. >> You're being detained. >> Close. You got him. >> When the officers arrived, alarm sirens blared, explaining the staff's hurried actions. Shortly after, the man was apprehended. And naturally, the woman was taken into custody as well. >> Talk to him. >> She's in up here. All right, I got her. >> Come on over here. >> The reason we're stopping you is for suspected shoplifting. So, let's go over here. Okay. >> This is all I got. >> We already catch on camera. >> Yeah. >> Me? >> Yes, you. Let's go. Right. Let's go up here. Going to the front. >> He's already been detained by an officer. >> We're going to take a right there at the little key little black machine. Okay. Oh, damn. >> Have a seat. >> I got contact with her. We're walking up to loss prevention. >> This is This the dog. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Well, they got an office up here. We're going to go in there. >> Okay. >> Do you have ID on you? >> No. You saw it? >> Go to this office right here for me. off. No, no, they're not coming off. >> The suspects grew angry when their unnecessary demands were ignored. At that moment, the woman spotted the man and seemed to realize what was happening, making the situation far from easy. Last name. Spell that. >> G O. Date of birth. A. >> Huh? No. >> What's your phone number? >> I don't have a phone. >> Okay. What's your address? >> What's your What's your name, sir? >> Robert. What? >> What's your name? >> Bobby. >> Bobby. What? I want to pocket short. >> I don't do that. >> I'm going to loosen up the right one now. Okay. I was just watching what happened. >> I was following him. >> All right. Well, we're going to watch the video and we're going to see what happened. Okay. >> The woman insisted that she hadn't stolen anything and was merely following the man. She even began to lament her own hardships, seemingly seeking sympathy. >> My husband died last year. My mama died on July 29th. And my husband died on the 28th. >> July 29th, and my husband died on the 28th. >> This left one still too tight. >> Left joint still too tight. Why do you got to call Justin? >> You okay, man? >> He's saying the left left handcuffs a little too tight. >> It's food. >> Just call merchandise. >> Oh, coming out. Uh, do we have a bag or buggy? >> Buggies right here. >> Yeah, there's a buggy around the corner. >> What's up? >> It's against skin. You're going to want to keep your gloves on. >> Yeah. You got anything on you? That's this. >> Like I said, >> I know you lift your shirt up. I just want to make sure. trying to go down. >> What are you carrying on about? Closer. I'm coming. It probably just feels tight cuz you have all in your back. >> Oh, yeah. Listen, please like stand by on that. 60 cents for 25 carry on. All right. So, obviously we're out here for, you know, a call for reported shoplifting because I understand. I hear what you're saying, but you know, there's a difference between you just being present in the store and cooperating with him. Okay. At any point, uh, did you all come up here to shoplift? He has food stamps. He supposed to be coming up here to get some water st as I have water. >> Mhm. >> We on the urge of moving cuz she's going to his mom house. >> Y'all already searching >> water.
