She gave the name of this store. The female suspect sat in the room able to hear every accusation and piece of evidence presented, yet she showed no sign of guilt as she immediately offered her own excuses afterward. Jessica, that's your name? So, why did we skip scan stuff today? What happened? That it was an accident. I've been on very low speed and I thought the EDT would take the, you know, the shoes cuz I have the money. And then I thought it scanned and it popped up with the round thing, you know. You know, like she she came out and I stopped right away because I thought it didn't scan. And like The suspect claimed it was all just an accident, but the police were not convinced by that excuse. and under their scrutiny, she gradually admitted that this was not her first time being involved in similar behavior. Okay. How often do you shop at Walmart? Not very often, honestly. Like, I My mom passed away last year. Like, I don't really do this. >> normally shop at? Just in town, where I live in Rib Mountain. Like, I I don't have a problem. Have you ever been caught shoplifting? No. Er No. Ma'am, yes. Er er You okay? Anything I can help you with? >> Okay. So Look, look. I was drinking back then, and a lot back then, okay? But, if you went to Rib Mountain and asked our GA, I don't like Yeah, I had an accident, but I really did think I I paid for all that. Like, even my dog ticket. You can ask the judge and everything. I even said I was in the wrong and still paid >> not at We're not at Small Claims. I know. What's in your pocket? Don't touch it. What's it Don't touch it. What is it? Oh. Go and stand up for me. Nope, don't touch it. Don't touch it. Do not She rummaged through her pocket despite repeated commands from the police, which made her behavior highly suspicious, forcing officers to use force to stop her. Ma'am, now. >> I'm sorry. And I did it. >> No, you cannot, actually. Can I I can Okay. You want to get a resisting? What are you doing? Put your cuffs behind you. It's Okay. Stand up. >> God, I'm Oh my god. Please don't Okay. Ow! Ow! Grab her arm and grab her by the arm. Over here. Grab her by the arm and grab her Grab her by Ow! Ow! Ow! You're hurting me. What did you break? Ow! Why did you hurt me? I'm going to sue you guys. Ow! Why did you hurt me? Get off of me. Why would you hurt me? Ow! Why are you doing that? I'm going to sue you guys for this. I'm going to sue you guys. Ow! You're mine. You're going to break my arm. Ow! >> Open your belly. You're going to break my arm. >> Open your stomach. You're going to break my arm. I felt like you guys got me. Ow! Ow! This is abuse. I'm going to call the cops. That's it. Yeah, I know you're going to be sued. It was clear that her own resistance had led to the situation unfolding this way, yet she now clung to it to portray herself as the victim. I'm going to sue you guys. I'm going to sue you guys. Let me out. Let me get out of this. I'm going to sue you guys. You hurt me. You're hurting me. Smashing me in the face. She has a Help me with this. What did you hurt me with whatever you had? What do you mean? You guys were the ones who jumped on top of me and I'm going to sue you guys. It's still in her hand. What's in your hand? Ain't nothing in my hand, but you trying to kill me. >> That's me. Yeah, I know I'm bleeding because you guys hurt me with whatever you guys had. Open your hand. Open your hand, damn it. >> I will if you guys get off of me. Open your hand. You're going to get tased. >> the lawyers. Open your hand. Open your hand. >> get off of me. Open your hand. This is your chance. >> Why did you guys hurt me? She dropped it. It's in between her legs. That's okay. I'm going to call. She reacted that way because the police discovered she was trying to conceal contraband on her body and what they found ultimately became the evidence against her. I have nothing on me. Just wait. Are the cameras are they turned on? You're good. They are. Good for you cutting me with whatever because you told me to jump on my head. She's got a broken meth pipe in her pocket. I don't have nothing broken on me. >> pipe or whatever. >> Yeah, because you guys hurt me. Yeah, what is that? You might want to get it out apparently cuz you planted it in there. Do you mind? I'm trying to stand up. Okay, well I'm going to piss on you. I wouldn't do that. Yeah, that's what you guys pounded me with. I am trying to stand up unless you want me to She's good. Well, actually I didn't check her good. I don't have nothing with me. Now you guys are hurting me. Shut up. Yeah, well you guys are hurting me. See? What you doing? That's my shirt. Can you guys at least let me in the car? Oh my god, I can't wait until I call my lawyer. The woman showed no shame for what she had done and she continued to make things difficult even during the process of being placed into the patrol car. Don't move. Put your hands behind Oh my god. Relax. >> I am. Let me shut this door. What are you guys doing? I am relaxed. What are you guys doing? I am relaxed. I am not struggling. Why won't you get off of me? Does it look like I'm struggling? Not now. You stopped. >> Okay, well cuz you guys won't get off of me. She's still pulling away. You guys are hurting me. You guys are choking me and you want me to not struggle. Can you guys tell me I can breathe like Still got to watch stop. I would participate now. Can we participate? Oh my god. Oh my god. Yeah, we're going to need an ambulance here in a second. Ow! You're fine. Really? Nobody's cranking anything. Really? You're going to have to. Yeah. Relax your arm. >> to get off of me. He has my arm. Can you not see he's holding my entire arm? >> Okay. Oh my god! I'm trying to. What the Look at I'm going to Look look I need I need me this jacket off, please. Please. The woman was charged with theft, tampering with evidence, resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia, and obstructing official business. Your actions in stressful situations can make things far worse. Staying calm and cooperating often prevents minor mistakes from turning into serious consequences. Next, this employee went on to commit merchandise fraud at her own store. I'm a single mom. I can I can make payments. I can do a payment plan, please. Just off the books. We'll work something out with you? I have no control over that. If they do, On August 1st, 2023, officers were dispatched to a Burlington Coat Factory after a fraud incident had occurred with a shocking detail coming from one of their own employees. Upon arrival, the store manager provided firm statements regarding the suspect. Well, she was always cashier. Like she was always giving them the stuff for free. Okay. You know, the other associates I haven't found any where they're taking merchandise. She's just She's at the cashier, so she really admitted to like $3,000, which is about what I came up with. Um So, minimum of $3,000 she allowed to leave the store by not properly ringing it. Um But, I I put it on here. Like I kind of put this is her, so she's responsible for like 63 grand. The other one, from what I can see on the transactions, she 16 of that is what this social walked out with. And this one here is like a farmer she said she recently put in. That's just their names. I had to had all the other social's names. But that person you hear present here today, she was involved in all the transactions. She was involved in all She was the cashier. She was the cashier, so she was like letting the employee leave with all those products. She would bring some of the stuff up, and it looks like it looks if anybody's looking and it looks like everything's getting rang, but then she was instead of cashing it out, they would hit suspend. So it just suspends the transaction, but she still gave them the stuff and they walked out. Yeah, they never paid for it. Immediately after, officers approached the suspect. She knew what had happened to her, but she showed no shame. She immediately begged with a solution she proposed herself. Talk to you. All right. I'm Deputy Frankie with the Sheriff's Office. So you, unfortunately, there's no choice. You're going today. Give me the paper money back, please. I can't go to jail. I just lost my boyfriend, everything. I can't go to jail. You got $3,100? I can pay payments. I can do so. Uh that's that's not on my hands. That's on them, but they want Right now they're prosecuting. Please excuse me. Please. I can't go to jail. Please. I can't I just lost my boyfriend. He didn't want I can't. I know. I mean I mean I can't You know, I go with the corporate Please. I can't. I can't go to jail. I really can't go to jail. I'm a single mom. I can I can make payments. I can do a payment plan. Please just talk to them. I can't go to jail. Right. And I And I did this I know. I know what you're saying, but I did and they you know, it's Please. Can you Can you Can you call and break anything? Talk to them and explain to them. I can't go to jail. I I will. I will call them back, but I don't you know, I don't know what it's going to Can you just please talk to them? I can't go to jail. I can't I can't I will. I will I will call them, but just talk to this guy on the phone. >> me to jail. Well, first we're going to talk, and then we'll go from there. The woman only begged for her own situation, ignoring the issues raised by the manager. At that point, when officers attempted to refocus on the case, she showed no intention of resolving it. So, do you want to explain like Like we have one that's on layaway. Like what happened? What what happened here? I mean Were you ringing Were you Did you ring up and let them walk out and not pay for the product? Is that what's happening? [ __ ] you. And he's going to call corporate, so nothing's official yet, but we are going to talk cuz So, They've got you They say about 31 almost 3100 dollars in items so far. But I got I don't even know half of these people. I told him like it was a mistake for some of them, but this ain't that the receipt receipt came out after they put their card in there, and the receipt came out. I didn't know if I suspended it or not. Just explain it to him. Some of them people I don't even know. Well, you explain I don't understand what you mean by suspend. That's what I don't understand. What does that mean? So, like this one here has your name right? Yes. So, this was a transaction for 13 items on the 20th, right? So, and it says status suspended. What does that mean? The the the transaction was suspended. Okay, was that a declined card or Let me see what the card She kept getting distracted, showing that she did not know how to answer the officers, which caused her honesty to be questioned, and so did the rest of her story. Did you know that this that the that the transaction was suspended? Yes. Is that something you >> one No. Cuz This is a what it says to >> One person used the card. She put her card in, but the receipt still came out. He said, "I put suspended." So, the receipt still came out. So, he's saying I suspended in the office there in the store. Okay, so the the the transaction was suspended. You knew it was suspended. And >> this one. It's another one that I knew was suspended. >> Okay, so regardless, how does it go in suspended? Is it because a payment wasn't accepted or there was no payment or is there something you have to do? >> You can press F2 F You can press your number on there and then it's suspended. Okay, so that's That's happened and So, you knew that this transaction was suspended for whatever reason then you allowed the product to leave. I'm sorry? Not all of them All of them because the receipt will come out. If they put their phone right there it's the It won't tell me if you want to pay. It's just a receipt will come out. Okay, but it doesn't always have suspended. I mean, every one of these receipts has suspended on them. That's what the system said. Okay, but I also have one here I'm looking for it. That was a layaway that they came back in the next day that layaway was then canceled and then the product still left the store. Yes. So, I guess what I'm getting at here is um I mean you're knowingly allowing this stuff to leave the store, correct? The layaway, yes. It could be seen that she tried to shift the blame onto the customers for the suspended transactions, but she failed. The officers then directly confronted the issue of her involving others in her scheme. So, I guess another question is how do you pick and choose who you're allowing to leave without paying for product? Cuz some of these are Some of these are associates that work here. >> Two of them are. Two of them were definitely associates that we know of. Um Is this something they do that they told you about? Cuz I mean they coming up to you asking I mean do you know them from like the neighborhood I mean how do you know them? Are they are they doing work? Two of them work. Two of one of them I know. That works here? Do you know them prior to working here? And then they did they tell you that this goes on? No. Have you ever been arrested before? No. Have you ever been in trouble? No. All right. I know he's talking to some people. But as of right now if this goes away this it's it's a felony. You will have to take you if they do decide to prosecute that's up to them. They could turn around and be like we'll work something out with you. I have no control over that. If they do the only thing I would definitely be cognizant of is that this is a felony. So they have a certain amount of time that they can report this without any repercussions. Immediately after the officers escorted her outside the store and began placing her in handcuffs. Show us where your car is. One of us will take that out there and drop it off. Once you go to my car do we have to go to cuffs and then we'll give you a a double them up and we'll look to transport you to our district to get paperwork done before we get you out of here for your service for. It's the black Chevy Impala. What's that? It's the black Chevy Impala. >> It's black Chevy Impala? Yeah. All right. Do you want to get that and the keys? This is me right here. We'll try to make it as comfortable as you can, right? They ain't built for comfort. Hold on, we got one. We're going to double it up. It'll give you a little bit more freedom, all right? With an amount of approximately $3,100, she qualified to be charged with third-degree grand theft and scheme to defraud, facing up to 5 years in prison along with fines and probation. Admitting wrongdoing without understanding the consequences and speaking without legal counsel can turn a difficult situation into a guaranteed conviction. Next, we turn to this man's fraud case, but it was his wife's behavior that drew the most attention. First she used a credit card. Just put your hands behind your back for me. I didn't use any cards. I didn't pay for anything. I'm not trying to like debate with you or anything, but if you run those cameras back, at no point was I at that desk with him. That's what he tells me. >> Okay, but here's my question. >> tell you the real dirt. On the 11th of June 2023, police received a call from the Marriott Hotel reporting a suspected credit card fraud in progress. At the scene, hotel staff presented their suspicions. She didn't stay here, right? Okay. The last four she gave me and the amount matches this card and his reservation, right? So, this is in Pennsylvania? No, so no, Louisiana is what she said. >> Yeah, she hasn't stayed here. The area code she gave me is a Louisiana area code, too, right? So, I just tried to like put it together to see if she's actually in Louisiana or she's part of it, right? So far it's good, but this guy that was here, you know, is using her card apparently and now he's gone, right? For sure, I understand. Okay, so For sure, I understand. So, is there anybody in there now? No, I don't think so. Did you clean her already? We're all done. What's going on? Credit card fraud. Well, yeah, that's that's what it was about last night. And then they they ran the Was it a stolen car or what? Wait a minute, hold on one second. It was uh her card they were using. And she didn't know this guy? No. I was wondering why they ran up a $450 tab in the in the restaurant. Police soon received another report of a card being used fraudulently at the exact same location. Coincidentally, the two incidents were completely connected. Ma'am, hi ma'am. This is Officer Roberts with West Palm Beach Police. Mhm. Okay, did you call earlier about somebody using your credit card? Yes, ma'am. That was earlier today. Okay, were you ever in West Palm Beach, Florida? No, ma'am. I live in Louisiana. Okay, so you've never come to this part of Florida. No, ma'am. Okay, um so the individual that may have used the credit card is coming back to the the Marriott to pick up something and we might end up, you know, take him into custody if if you want to prosecute for fraudulent use of a credit card, ma'am. Yes, ma'am. Is that something that you would be interested in? Yes, ma'am. Okay, so I have to call you back and get a an official sworn statement, but I just want you do you know any any way that he could have gotten your credit card numbers? I I ordered that I think he must have done a scam or something cuz Friday on Thursday I Macy's where it said Macy's had a luggage luggage on sale. Uh-huh. So I had my the one that do all my ordering for me, I told her, "Look up on Macy's." And she did look at your receipt and ordered from there on Thursday. She said it didn't She didn't get the email. So, when I look on my bank statement for the $32, it said it Macy's right there. It said "A'Cres". With assistance from the hotel, the suspects involved were called in. They were completely confused by what had happened. There he is right there. Grab the baby. Can you just come inside? We'll explain to you inside. Can she grab the baby? Can you guys at least give us a rundown? We'll let you know inside. What's the happen? You guys used your credit card to buy that robe? Just put your hands behind your I didn't use any. I just paid for it. What's the happen? Just put your hands behind your back for me. I didn't use any. I just paid for it. I didn't pay for anything. So, Okay. I'll explain to you what happened. Yeah, I got it. I got him. I got him. Just do Upon seeing the man handcuffed, the woman immediately denied making any payments, clearly aware of what was happening. The man, meanwhile, feigned innocence in an attempt to evade responsibility. Go ahead. I have a I have a victim, okay? A sworn statement. Now, what happened? Stop. One second. Go ahead. From Louisiana they told me that she's never been here in West Palm and he used the same credit card. >> he got into a fight with his peoples and they actually did authorize that, but since he didn't pay the money back that it was initially >> this person is giving a sworn statement that means under under oath. >> Under oath. Can we talk outside? Yes. I just want to put them in my car and we're going to bring you out. We're going to talk to you. You're going to Sir, this is not right. Okay, hear me out. We have we have a victim. Sir, this is not right, though. Listen to me. He got into a altercation with his family. They did let him use the card, but it was like a really big scene. So I'm pretty sure they probably didn't want to Okay. What's the name of the What's the name of the >> I'm not sure. So what's the name of the lady that she used the card? Was it a lady or a man? It was a lady. What's her name? Her name is Michelle. Her name is who? Michelle. Michelle? Do you have a Michelle? Okay. Yes. Listen. Listen. I'm going to put you in here. Man, this is Sorry. This is not factual, though. Hold on. This is not factual, bro. Yes, it is. We have Listen. Listen. Listen. Listen to me. I have I have it all. I have a sworn statement. I have transactions. Did you guys eat in the restaurant? Did I eat here? Yes, I stay here. Just sit in the car for a second. That's my family, bro. >> Come talk to me. The woman requested to step outside to address the situation, but once outside, she changed her attitude and began questioning the officers instead. What I'm saying is do you guys have a camera with a physical card in his hand? Yes. That's impossible because I was there. He didn't use a physical card. He Whatever transaction he made on video, it's on video. Utilizing the credit card number. Okay, so how do we go about What what is he going to be charged with? Fraudulent use of a credit card. Okay, and what's the bond for that? I don't know. I'm not I'm not a bondsman. What's your name? Alexus. You have your ID on you? Yeah, I have it in my purse. Can you grab your ID for me? Can you give me um a pen, please? So, Uh-huh. She's giving me her ID. Go ahead, cuz now I'm I'm pretty shaken up right now. It's very upsetting. I'll explain it to you. Of course, but I You have to understand I'm shaken up right now. Like, Can you give me your ID? >> Yes, I I have to find it. >> Okay, go ahead. What are you trying to tell me? I want to hear what you have to say. Go ahead. I'm the primary officer. So, I'm going to be the one Ma'am, I feel like you're Whatever it is, you're taking it out on me. You have to understand that. >> fault. You were here with him, okay? I'm not charging you. I could charge you, but I'm not doing that. I'm charging him because he's the one that actually used the card, okay? So, I just need your ID, Mhm. and you'll be good to go. Okay. She continuously evaded every request from the officers, escalating the situation, and forcing them to issue a warning about her obstructive behavior. You were here and present in the room, so it's >> idea. You have to understand when men do their dirty in the streets, they don't >> Ma'am, Miss Campbell, one second, one second. You have to cooperate with me because if not, I'm going to charge you with obstruction. I don't want to do that. You have a newborn baby. >> but I don't I need your phone I need your phone number. My phone number is 954 and I You got to understand I don't want to cooperate with that. I don't want to be I had no clue that it was fraudulent. I wouldn't have been here with my daughter. >> why I'm not charging you. That's why I'm not charging you. But, if you start being uncooperative, that's called obstruction, and that is a charge. But, you can't If you're a witness, you have to know what's going on. That's number one. >> you were present with him. I'm not saying I'm not saying that I'm I'm not trying to like debate with you or anything, but if you run those cameras back, at no point was I at that That's what he That's what he tells me. >> Okay, but here's my question. Hold on hold on a second. Hold on a second cuz you're going to get yourself in trouble. Cuz were you in the restaurant? Cuz you didn't pay the bill there, either. >> Yes, I was in the restaurant. >> you did not pay the bill you did not But you did not pay the bill there, either. So, therefore, that's considered theft. You're going to get yourself a charge for for $39. So, what I'm trying to get you to What I'm trying to explain to you is it's better just to sometimes cooperate than just go the next step. Numerous warnings and attempts at persuasion were offered to the woman, yet she left the officers frustrated, showing no change and even escalating the tension. You control what the victim does. >> here. I don't I don't give a about the charges. This is my name. Do you see what I'm saying? I don't. >> So, when I talk to you, I'm telling you what I have on facts, right? What I'm telling you is how you came at me. >> talk to You When I talk to you is what I have. Right now, I'm trying to be a better person and not take you for theft. Which I can. Which I can. That's nasty nasty. That's part of the process. That's what he That's not his He didn't murder anyone. It doesn't matter. If it's rented under somebody else, he's driving the car. He does not have his license on him. He doesn't have a valid license. >> So, what happens when the person whose car name is his is sitting right there? The name is not under you. It's a It is, and it's getting There's an agreement, ma'am. >> Okay, listen to You're not listening to what I'm saying. I'm trying to explain it to you. I'm trying to be as nice as possible without giving you a court date. I'm trying to. >> That's why I'm >> I'm trying to. You're pushing my buttons to the point where I'm just going to give you a court date, and you're going to have a court date, too. It is what it is, because they're willing to prosecute. Do you really want to get a court date for some some food that you you jumped out on with him because he didn't pay the bill? Do you really want that? No, I don't. All I want is respect. That's So then please give me respect, too. The man was charged with fraudulent use of a credit card. Attempting to manipulate or evade the law only worsens the situation. Cooperation with authorities can prevent additional charges and help resolve disputes more safely and efficiently. Next, let's turn to this unusual woman. What are you doing? I didn't do nothing. Don't do that. Don't do that. Don't My name I didn't go home. I'm blind. I miss my mama. Y'all On the 3rd of July, 2025, officers approached a woman on the street who had been reported for panhandling and disturbing customers at a racetrack store. It was not the first time, as officers had already recognized her from prior incidents involving loitering, panhandling, and digging through trash at multiple businesses. This was what unfolded next. What are you doing? I didn't do nothing. Don't do that. Don't do that. Don't Don't do that. Don't do that. Hey, hey, we're going to taze you. I'm going to taze you. I'm going to taze you. Stop it. I'm going to taze you. >> Stop it. Stop. Stop. We're fighting right here. We're fighting. [ __ ] get off. Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow. >> Roll over. Roll over. Roll over. I thought I killed a cop. Why? Why would I do that? Taser, taser. I'm going to do that to my dad. My dad. Who is this person? I thought I was running. Give me his hand. Give me his hand. I thought I was running. Give me his hand. I got that. Is this neighbor who do you think this is, folks? I thought I was magical [ __ ] I didn't know that I had money. I want to go to jail. I messed up. I ran from the law. The woman completely lost control of her speech as the chaos unfolded. This showed she was mentally unstable and it was clear it would not be easy to stop. I don't just relax. I'm Amber. I'm Amber. That's the devil I don't want. Yes. I want you guys. You just said don't use his name. What's his name? Don't use his name. I got to go home. I'm blind. I miss my mama. Yuck. A car. It's going to get out. What? I don't know what he said. Go find somewhere else to go, please. Why would you do that? He was attempting murder. Come on. Stand up. Come on. Stand up. Stand up. Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on. This is Justin. They put him on TV. They here. He I know that. I'm scared of them. They just made a grown. I have a warrant. God. I have a warrant. Come on. I ran. I'm so scared of my life. Oh, I did. Look. Amber. I thought She's on mental health. This is so ugly. Immediately after successfully detaining the woman, officers made several observations about what had just occurred. Started fighting us. Basically took off running so I pushed her down. Uh-huh. Then she started kicking us with her feet. That Amber girl from the Oh, that crazy Amber. I had to fight with her. Physically fight with her. So, she took off running so I pushed her on top of her shoulders. Pushed her down on the ground. Then when she turned around, she did all this kicking. So, we ended up just We tried He couldn't get a hold of her. So, you got your taser out? I got this. Yeah, we're good with that. I don't know where the other probe is. Eight? Yeah. Yeah, we got all that. We'll take care of all that. She just keeps digging in trash cans. Go ahead take her to the station. I'll It might be stuck inside of under her clothes or something. We'll just look again. At this point, officers tried to ensure no taser barbs remained lodged in her body, but she seemed unconcerned, which only made things messier. Turn around. >> What are you doing? I'm going to find that other probe that we tased you >> I you take home nothing out of my dead body full of AIDS. You're not dead. I heard it myself. It's not real. >> You're not dead. I cursed that phone. That man switched his real off with Amber. See if she left it up there. How you know I'm nothing? No, my grandma said come home mama. Officers then returned to the store to collect statements directly from staff and understand what had happened. Uh did anybody know why we got called out here? Did y'all call? She was inside. She had some tickets. She was asking going around to different guests bothering them. Hey, can you help me out? Pay for this. Pay for that. >> Got you. I had a guest come to me and complain. Right. That's when I called. But I also saw her myself and another another member of staff earlier. Got you. It's just a thing where you can't Yeah, she did it. >> So yeah. Okay. She was here doing it. I didn't say anything to her. I was like the police was going to come up. Yeah. But she also No, I'm lying. I did say something to her inside when she was at the register going to people. I said, "Hey ma'am, I can't have you do that." Yeah. She ignored me and continued to do it. So that's when I called somebody. Got you. So and then she kept going. >> Yeah, because we don't have no security. She don't have no security guard on her. So I try not to do too much. Yeah, don't do anything. You just call us. We'll handle it. Yeah. So yeah. Okay. Did Did you see the incident where the officers >> Someone had already stopped her. Like an officer or a person? >> Yeah. An officer had already stopped her. Uh-huh. Then he walked over. Yeah. She just charged at him and throws a bag. That's all I see. Oh, she started fighting the officer? Yeah. She started hitting him. Oh, how'd that work? Yeah. Cuz anything you say to her, she was going off even when she was over here. >> Oh, so she was extra aggressive? >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. She was throwing the bag at him. Uh-huh. Whatever. But I'm going to I'm going to find I ain't recording, but I'll flip the camera and just will tape attention, but she she was swinging on him. Got you. Okay. The suspect was then transported to the police station, but her condition showed no improvement, and officers had to make efforts to assist her. I want a police report. I just tried to go to the hospital. >> a police report. Don't worry about it. >> No, I'm going to get a police report to get to the hospital. Y'all need to get a street sweeper. DNA. I said stay away from these white cops. >> So, ow. Don't pull at my body. It hurts. >> Okay. My body hurts too bad. Take me to Grady so they can pull it out. I want to find out if this kid they took home has DNA from one of these cops, and they have to do a swab test. If they show real blood traces as to who that is. I got a name that's coming to check your injuries, okay? And I'm burning torture. Is that a bullet? It's in her left hip. Are you able to take it out? No. Don't pull that out. I'm going to follow you home. No, wait till the police get here. Wait for Grady to get here. Wait for Grady to get here. Don't pull that thing out of my body. That's why you didn't feel it. It got right in the side of you. I feel her with a real body. Amber Barber was arrested and charged with loitering, obstruction of a law enforcement officer, and disorderly conduct. The key lesson: Mental instability can escalate situations quickly, and patience plus proper support is essential when dealing with individuals in crisis. Worse, the suspects believed they didn't deserve arrest despite their obvious wrongdoing. On February 4th, officers were dispatched to Georgia Square Mall after receiving a report of a couple stealing an adult toy along with batteries, which they concealed in a bag. Officers quickly arrived on scene and the following events unfolded. Hey. >> Hey there. So, what we got going on? All right. Well, let's go ahead and get everything that belongs to them out of you. There's a lady that went to the bathroom as well. A lady went to the bathroom. What was she wearing? Oh, hello. She's right here. You want to just get everything out that belongs to Spencer's? Yeah, this here. Yeah, we don't have anything. Okay. Anything else from anywhere else? No. No, this our stuff, personal stuff. You want to go check the bathroom? I don't know if there was anything in that bag, but I do know that where my stuff was. Well, then somewhere else. No, all that all that's mine. My purse. You have a receipt for it? Um I do. And that's from um originally actually Do you mind if I stick this new wallet with so the card That's fine. Yeah. Is that where the receipt is? Is it in there? >> Yes, cuz I used the Google Pay. That's fine. All those are clothes. We got it all together. Okay. I apologize. We got it all together. Up to this point, the woman had not admitted to shoplifting and the items officers were checking had actually been purchased. This shifted suspicion toward her possibly hiding merchandise while she was in the restroom earlier. Did you drop something in the bathroom? >> I did not. All that is the job. You don't? All right. I'm just asking. So, I don't know why she just put that stuff there. Um I'm sorry I wasn't able to tell you, but I 100% know that purse cuz I saw it. You got gloves too? I did put that trash in there, but I didn't put my hands in it cuz I had my gloves. Sir. Hold on. Just so you know what I did drop something in there too. Yeah, hold on. Just just hang out for me here. I got you. Do you think you dropped it in the bathroom? >> That's what she's talking about. Well, they're probably going to bring it in here. Just calm down. It's okay. I just thought about It's right there on the on the the little silver bag that was back in the back. Please go get it. There's three people in there. Just that they'll be back in just a second. I guarantee you that's what they found, okay? For shoplifting? Yeah, I did shoplift. They'll probably press charges for it. Spencer's usually does. Yeah. Yeah. I'm going to just spread this open just to be sure, okay? You got drugs on you? Do you have any? Um I do not. I have Okay, that would be good. So, you have your ID? I told them all my information when y'all came. Yeah, yeah. He's He's He's told me what happened. Additionally, officers quickly recognized the woman as somewhat familiar, suggesting this was not his first involvement in theft-related behavior. Oh, my car got towed. Okay. How many times have you been convicted for shoplifting? Cuz the last time we picked you up, I think it was a couple times. Now, the last time Detective Franco got you, you had been Franco? What What did Franco do? He's the one who works all the shoplifting. Oh, but I've never been to small claims. He didn't call my name. Can you just give me a description, height and weight? Height weight. Brown eyes. Looks Looks like he does have a mustache. And he got teeth. Not going to harm you. Yeah. Okay. Warrant for failure to appear for something? Oh, no. They gave me one. Did you go to court? Which I think I got an extension though. We're checking right now. Well, it looks like if you do have one, you'll be taking care of that court case a lot sooner than you planned. So. But I got to go. If they confirm it, then yeah, but Man, this is ridiculous. On both suspects' faces, there was no sign of remorse, partly because the woman had her own justification for her actions. Unfortunately for them, reality did not align with their expectations. I would like to go have an absolute Okay. What was your question? I also invited you to walk out with anything. All you have to do is conceal. What do you mean conceal? Put things into a bag is all you have to do. It's It's the It's the intent to to take 10-4. Your name is Eureka? All right, so give me just a second. So, they are going to want to take you, okay? So, I'm going to go ahead and put you in handcuffs. Give me a second, okay? Come around to where the security offices are on the top level. Let me ask you this. So, as you know that you you going to go, they going to search you. What What you got on you? Is it anything that's going to stick or poke me or hurt me? I don't know. You don't know You don't know if you have anything? What? I don't know. They can get out of my pocket, man. Damn it. Come on. Where's your Is it Is it Is it in this pocket? You're going to have her on all charges. Okay, um excuse me. Mhm. Just have a seat, Ricky, okay? The man was successfully placed in handcuffs, and of course, the woman soon faced the exact same outcome. Five shirts and things? 11, search only criminal histories on both. It's too late for that. What What you need to do is probably stop shoplifting. All right? Cuz you're not really good at it. And also Huh? Is that after you called me a racist? Yeah, I understand that. You're going to ask a favor? No, it wasn't a favor. Sorry. All right. So, I'm going to You can still smoke a cigarette with handcuffs on if that's if that's going to happen, okay? Do what now? Put it in front right here anyway. I said, can you put them in the front cuz I'm pregnant? That's what I'm going to do. I'm going to do two. I'm going to do two. It's going to be a lot more comfortable put them in the back, okay? I can't hold them in the front, though. Okay. Okay. I like okay. No, no, no. I've got to get through her history cuz I don't know what all she's been convicted of. Okay. I didn't know you had already opened it up, man. Okay. Now, since you'll be transporting, do you want front or back with her? She does have an ankle that's messed up. She She could fall. Okay. Here. Go on and put your hands like you're praying like this. Not going to give no trouble, are you? No, I promise you I'm not. No, I'm not even going to like this here. It was clear she cared more about her dignity than her wrongdoing, even claiming pregnancy to avoid being handcuffed while continuing to give unreasonable excuses for her actions. Minimum 1 year. I don't just do it just to do it to get through it. I have an active addiction. No, I and I get that. I'm just letting you know. You don't do that at 22 years old. You don't need that. So, just I I I get it's an addiction. I I've met a bunch of people that say that. So, I'm about to go, but what I'm going to tell y'all is if either one of y'all give him a hard time on the way to the jail, we're going to be seeing each other again. Okay, I'm just saying. I don't want to be pulling up to him when he's pulled over on the side of the road. Yeah, it's it's lifetime. It don't matter. You need to stop shoplifting. I'm saying that you know what shoplifting is because you've been arrested for it. I would >> So, you're you're not you're not ignorant to it or naive. I mean, you know what's going on, man. This Okay. All right? >> Okay. Finally, they were charged with shoplifting with a guilty plea, possession of controlled substances, sentenced to 90 days of confinement, and 12 months of probation. Actions driven by excuses and denial only deepen the consequences. Taking responsibility early is the only way to break the cycle. The chaos didn't stop as the next woman showed absolutely no remorse. On March 25, police received a report from Walmart that they had detained a woman for shoplifting there. Officers quickly arrived at the scene to approach her, but unexpectedly, chaos suddenly erupted. Sit down. What? I just asked you to sit down. >> He already got what he got. There ain't nothing else in my [ __ ] but y'all can go through my [ __ ] and your No, it ain't. No, it ain't. They took that pencil that was mine. Take a bag. No, you're not putting my No. Now, sit down. Put your paws off me, bro. Don't put your hands on me, bro. >> Now, you don't Put your Don't put your in my face. Stop. You put your hand in my face, bro. Her attempt to block the search of her bag escalated the situation to this point. Yet, even then, she only cared more about her appearance. Listen. Hey, relax. Dude, I'm telling you, bro. Nobody's [ __ ] with my hair. >> You're making it worse. >> No, I'm not. No, I'm not. It is a It got into this whole Stop. I just pulled on my leg. I'm resisting. Stop doing that. Thank you. All right, see how I'm moving? You ain't going to hold me. I'll put that up away. So, a misdemeanor you turned into a felony. Yeah. That's not smart. Oh, she shouldn't do that [ __ ] It's your own fault. Why is it my fault, bro? Cuz you don't even know the situation yet. You ain't going to hold me. She said she Pull my shirt down, please. She said she had a pill bottle. No, I don't have a pill bottle stuck in my bra. All right. Look. Go look. It's my medication. Do you have anything in your bra? >> It's my medication. >> Is there anything in your bra? >> No, look. Look. Ow. Good. I got my period. I'm freaking Can you Thank you. Locked? Yeah, it's double locked. All right. So, I can't even see what's in my other thing? You guys are freaking She was freaking The situation didn't stop there because right after being placed in the patrol car, she continuously shouted insults forcing officers to issue a warning. Behave now back here. I don't behave, dude. She put her hands on me, man. He put his hands on me, too. Yeah. I don't take that. I don't care what it is, but if she put her hands on me. Who? You're You're the cop. >> Yeah, after you pushed her. No, I didn't. >> Yeah, well, listen. >> She freaking got in my face, though. Okay. Okay? You have no respect. You don't do that to a cop. Huh? You don't do that to the cop. Well, she doesn't do that to me until she finds out what the whole deal is. No, that's why we're here. You didn't give her a chance. You just got up and pushed her. No, I did not. >> Uh yeah, it's on camera. >> No, it's not. No, it's not. Okay. >> Yeah, it is. Whatever. All right, we're back now. All right, cool. Give me a total for everything she took. Yeah, so just give us a rundown of what happened. >> So, she's shoplifting on the floor. She takes a few bags like that. She's basically just putting stuff in there, right? And that's the two items. All right, so after that, um I'm just waiting for her to pass the last point of sale. Boom, we stop her. After she comes in the office, she comes in. She gets very, very aggressive. Starts coming in my face and all that. But, we retrieve the merchandise. >> Obviously, she's aggressive. >> I asked for ID and stuff. She didn't want to, you know, provide it and stuff. And she getting angry at us and that's when we started calling the police because of just how agitated she was. Okay, so hold on. She was taking bags and loading stuff in them? Yeah, all I seen was the two electronic items and one makeup. I don't know if there's more stuff. >> and makeup. Okay. All right, let's go through. I don't know if there's more in there. Um do you want to fill out the the shoplifting form? Yeah, we'll see if there's anything else. Through the investigation, officers discovered she had concealed items on her body, and they quickly proceeded to search, but the woman did not make it easy for them. No. Where is the [ __ ] that you put in your bra? You're on camera. How what does my tit you know that? Right, but you're on camera stuffing something in your bra. That's why I'm searching. Can you please step away? He's got to be here with me. He's my backup. >> at my tit. Listen, I'm a female. I'm a female, so that's why I'm searching you because you're on camera. >> fix that? When you're done? Yep. All right. Okay. It's in your bra. That's What is? How do you know what? Watch your Listen, there's >> it's a lining thing. Yeah, well, I'm going to cut it open. Why are you going to cut it open? There's an opening on the side. That's what I'm trying to look for. Then go. I'm trying to give you a little help you out on the other side so you don't have to reach over and freaking grab me on the neck. The freaking thing is bunched up. I put them in there because I don't freaking my nipples get hard. I don't like that. People see my nipples. And it's it's the thing that's bunched up. That's all it is. It's your Yeah, but you're on camera. There's two. We have two. No, there's two in there. There's two There's definitely I took my Yeah, cuz I eat them. I have a prescription. Yes, I do. Yes, I do. But why are they in your bra? Why are they in your tits? Well, then let me get it. I have a prescription. Go take them and weed out jail. That's what I was going to do. Despite committing numerous offenses and wrongful acts, the woman showed no remorse. Even more astonishing was her blatant disrespect toward the police. >> Stupid [ __ ] I'm a professional here. You know what? Take one. In contrast to her mocking behavior, officers informed her of a serious charge of grand theft, all stemming from her prior criminal history that she was seemingly unaware of. We're going to go do the paperwork. Wait, what do you mean? I'm rolling the way. Grand theft? Hold on. Wait, wait, wait. Hold on. Grand theft? How the did that happen? >> Edward Marigan. Now it's going to be grand theft. For a radio, it's $13. It's not. It's 13. It's right next to something that's $23. So what is this? Grand theft? >> What's grand theft? Yeah. How is it grand theft? The radio was $13. No, it becomes It's still It's felony petty theft now because your previous theft is really So, what's the It's I don't It's called It's upgraded. It's an enhanced charge because you have previous theft-related crime convictions. >> It's for money, though. This is not This is the first petty theft I got. I cashed a check. It's not freaking theft. >> Okay. I'm just letting you know that's what you're going to charge for. So, we're not going to have a back and forth. Like, there's no negotiating. >> But, it's fraud. It's not That It's still theft-related. Fraud is theft-related stuff. There's a big umbrella of theft. But, it wasn't even grand theft. They're previous theft-related crimes. Is this what you're talking about? Cash hiding with intent to defraud? >> Yeah, but that was the one for $10,000. I I did one for $235. It was $235. It was under $500. It's petty theft, and that's what I'm being charged with. Felony petty theft. >> Yep. And uh battery on a law enforcement officer and >> even touch you. The woman was charged with felony petty theft, battery on a law enforcement officer, and resisting arrest. Her reckless defiance only turned a minor mistake into serious charges, proving that refusing accountability and disrespecting authority can make any situation far worse. Next, these women even created a huge argument simply because of their ego. On December 2nd, 2025, officers responded to a gas station store after receiving a call about a disturbance at the gas station, and upon arriving at the scene, they immediately faced an intense argument that was still unfolding. Oh. Oh, we saw him do that. Thank you. What happened? Put the cameras back, please. We came into the store with the candy that she got in her hand. The kids had the candy in their hand. They're all the kids. We came into the store. Yes, so let's go outside to talk, okay? He said our kids ate He said our kids ate the candy. I can't understand any of you guys. We came into the store with this with our kids, okay? Our kids had this when we came into the store. He said our kids stood right here, opened the candy, and ate it. Okay. They're big blow pops. But they came in with that. Okay, okay. It's not that big of a deal. We'll get To him, it is cuz he He don't even have called the police. But he don't even have the candy in here. But he needs to apologize to our kids trying to say that they stole the candy and that they opened it and that they ate it. Okay, all right. And we spent cash when we came in. And then he going to sit there and tell us that because we didn't have EBT, we supposed to leave. We got cash. >> it figured out. We'll get it figured out, okay? It's not that big of a deal. It's just blow pops. The situation did not calm down, forcing the officers to ask them to step outside the store, which only made the women openly display their disrespectful attitude. We'll talk to you guys outside. I'm going to arrest them if they don't leave the store. I don't care. I'm going to arrest them if they don't leave. That's why we like talking to women. Do something. For real. Like y'all just Okay, shut up. Right, damn. What's wrong with you? And we can handle everything outside like like adults. And then we can figure everything out instead of yelling and screaming. Shut up, pork chop. I know. And and then we're going to get through everything. I just need him to be able to check that that guy needs to be able to leave. You know what I mean? Hey, relax now. No, you relax. We were talking to Cuz everything you don't get what you coming from. So you relax. You relax. That has nothing to do with anything. Cuz you got irritated with us. Okay. I'm not You relax. I don't doubt that. Listen, I don't doubt that. I'll take you to jail for disorderly conduct in about 30 seconds. You are you're yelling and cursing. You're going to hurt You're going to go to jail. Now, here's the deal. I want to know everything that happened. I relax. I want to know everything that happened here. I want to know everything that happened, but I'm not going to yell and scream in this store. So, start at the beginning. The women claimed that the candy in question had been bought from another store and brought in. So, the officer immediately went to that store to verify it. Did they just buy some candy here from you? A little boy. Yeah, one little boy in a white t-shirt? Yeah, he bought this one. He bought a bubble gum. The little boy bought a bubble gum and he bought this candy. Perfect. Thank you. How many of those were bought, do you know? One. One of those was bought and then a bubble gum? And then there was some little some other little kids with them, too? No. Okay, so it was just that one? Just that one. >> Perfect. Thank you. Still? All right. So, he said that they bought one of the bubble things and bubble gum. So, I just asked. So, I'm just going to double-check and make sure his camera doesn't show something different. And then we're going to move forward with her and we'll get everybody out of here. Okay. Well, I can't make him apologize to you. So, like Shortly after, the officer updated the situation with the employee of the store involved, who also had his own account that explained why he had become suspicious. The neighbor over here sold him candy. Yeah. No, that's fine. They They buy from there. It doesn't matter to me. Okay. I had the candy that to so many. They playing with that and try to walk with the some candy of that too. And I stopped it. Okay, just minor put it back. Okay. After whatever is your you take it. You buy two candy take it two candy. Why I'm telling that that's the happen. Okay. >> After that the reason for another candy because on lady she was my neighbor that next time on that that plaza. She tried to fight with my wife and kids. One night I called for them and I leave this place because I can leave this environment the last year. It doesn't come by your store like openly like She came in today with this situation making it crowded. That's what happened. That's nothing wrong with the candy because it's very simple. If he doesn't take it, that's fine. I just tell them, "Okay, this is yours. Go ahead, it's fine." That's why I say that took mine as a bet. Got you. >> That is a point. Okay, you just want them to leave. That's it. No, I want to trespass too. I need a paper too. Okay. And he said that he had to throw all of that stuff. >> from the counter and the >> it all there. Okay. You want them trespassed, the adults trespassed, the two women or the three women, and that's it. >> I don't like to kick them out of my store. So in the end, the women were cleared and could have left, but the situation did not end there because they still chose to hold on to their arrogance. He just wants trespasses. Trespasses. No, and we just want an apology. We want an apology, but I don't want He needs to apologize. I don't come over here. So we going to trespass cuz he accused us of stealing. And we didn't even steal. This is the disturbance of the Are you going to give me your names for a trespass warning? Okay, then you need to leave the property now. Listen, he wants you trespassed. Are you going to give me your name for the trespass warning or no? Then if you don't vacate the property, you're going to go to jail. It's supposed to serve and protect, right? If you don't leave the property, I appreciate your opinion. You're about to go to jail. You need to walk. That's fine. I'll be a bad corporal. All right, I'll suck today. I suck. Continuing to follow their personal pride, some of the women returned to the store demanding an apology, which soon led them to face an outcome they never expected. Come on. Stop. Come here. Wait, why are you going to arrest her? You got to leave me alone cuz I didn't do [ __ ] to you. Why are you arresting her? Why is he arresting me? Trespass after warning. information. I didn't trespass [ __ ] >> You were told to stay off the property. You came back onto the property. You suck. You suck. You suck. I'm going to have to ask you 25 I'm not being rude. She is pregnant. Yes, she is pregnant. Tee, chill. Tee, chill. Tee, chill. Chill. Let her Stop. The baby. The baby. See, I don't know how to address that. She's pregnant. So, what is she going to jail for? You were told that you would trespass after warning. All right. Come on then. You're going to get more charges. Stop. Stop. Stop. Come on. That's fine. You're going to catch all these new charges. Have a seat. Have a seat. That's fine. That's fine. Sit down. You can do it now. You can take my purse off my um um 10-32, consent to search. Oh. She went back on the property. It's on body camera. North Green with South. The woman was charged with trespassing after warning and resisting arrest. Even when someone had the chance to walk away freely, refusing to let go of ego and continuing to argue only led to worse consequences. Sometimes, the smartest choice was simply to leave and avoid turning a small conflict into a criminal charge. Next, this woman even pretended to show remorse after she was arrested. So, this is how it was, and I ripped it off so I can scan the actual one. Uh-huh. Okay. This she tried like putting like other ones on here, I think. Sorry, man. Else she's a falsies. I think it's you. >> I like to go to jail. On September 6th, 2025, officers received a report from a store about a shoplifting in progress. The suspect was believed to be a woman who was trying to leave, but she was quickly stopped by the police. Ma'am, she's walking out now. Hello, police department. How are you doing? >> I'm good. What's going >> Good. All right, let's talk right here in the office, and we'll go from there. Okay. I hope I get to All right, now you're being detained. You're not free to leave, okay? Okay. >> him. Can I have you take a seat? Do you have your ID on you? Yeah, I do. So, is there a reason why you're putting fake tags on here? Well, Let's see that ID. Oh, sorry. So, what she's using like something called jumping beans, which is like baby's clothes as items to scan. Can I see the Scan everything with the food full price right here, if you could switch. Well, this is brand new. We just released this like a week ago. She paid a dollar for it. No, that was a sale over there. Yeah, well, I just scanned these jumping beans. What's jumping beans? It's uh baby clothes. You scanned everything as baby clothes. Like this is Nike. These never go on sale. What's that? So, her actions were thoroughly exposed by the loss prevention employee. At that point, she had no other choice and was forced to admit her actions. Is this So, are you putting tags in all this and then under-ringing it? Okay, is this a common thing for you or is this just a one-time thing? How many How often do you do this? I don't know. This is I don't know. That was something else. So, She had a Kohl's card. I'm going to run that Kohl's card and if I have more cuz you'll be doing the same thing or we'll check back to that when I arrest you. No. So, This is the first time you ever done this? No. It's pretty advanced for a first-timer. No. No, never been arrested for it all? No, for this one. Not for this? Okay. You still live in Hampshire? Yes, sir. Go with it. Here you go, guys. I'll get you guys a real total. Yeah, I would appreciate it. Of course. And then you grab all your like receipts um Yeah. The tags and stickers that you placed on different items to pay the lower price. Did you bring those home, did you take them out of the store from clothes in the store here today? What's the phone number for you? So, did you when you put the stickers on that was that When was this out when you're like pulling the items off the shelf, you didn't put the sticker on it and then put it in your cart or did you do it all at the register? When did you put the stickers on the items? Shortly after, the officers discussed the consequences she could face, but it had to depend on the confirmed total value of the items she had taken. So, she only paid about $111 for the stuff and total was 504. Yeah, with tax. Yeah. >> So, I'll have to go and see which one she with her receipt. Did you receive the different receipt? It printed out. Oh. Yeah. Sorry. So, most of these items So, see how it's like $3, $4, $6. Mhm. Yeah. So, she paid a total of one with not the tax, so 113. >> 58. >> And the all the total amount which is actually she I don't know what this one is. 50469. Okay, so 504 69. And then I'm sorry, can you show what's the 113? It is 11358. Okay. Um being that it's just a 100 over, some of them state's attorneys might be a little more hesitant to approve felony charges. >> Mhm. So, they'll leave it more probably guaranteed a misdemeanor charge. Or do you want to We can still do a village ordinance citation or we can still bring her back. My problem is like I'm going to run her card, mhm, and see what I have more. Yeah, cuz this is way This is way too >> She has a Kohl's card I can run through our system and it pops up anytime and every time she's been here. Right. Oh, wait. Oh, yeah. That's right, you can key it. Okay. So, then cuz then we'll have her ID'd and then be a lot easier to figure that out. So, I'll tell you what I'll do then. I mean, you want to obviously We don't want to move with the misdemeanor charge then. Okay. We'll guarantee misdemeanor. I'm going to still try for the felony. Okay. Right after that, the employee also explained in detail how the suspect had scammed the clothing price tags. These baby are real. She did pay for these baby clothes, the ones that are marked on there. But like this one, the sticker on the box was like this. So, that's how it was and I ripped it off so I can scan the actual one. Uh-huh. Okay. I guess she tried like putting like other ones on here, I think. That's not the correct one either. So, I think she just got a steeper. Okay. So, 11358. Can I see that real quick? I just want to on my body camera. Actually, this is hers, isn't it? >> Yeah, that's the receipt that she didn't pay for. And like the same thing with these like Nike sweaters. Mhm. All right. This was just I I I went ahead and they were scanned. There was like a wrap like this. So, you can't even tell if they're like just walked out the back of the park. Okay. All right. I'm going to get her going then. Um And then I'll once she leaves, I'll lay this on the floor, take a picture of it, and send it to you. Uh Or do you want to just I'll I'll probably ask Golf to do it for me. Um Golf is really It's nothing issue. It's just especially with it being tags under pricing, I'd rather have more pictures than not. So, I'm more set. Returning to the woman, she fully knew that her crime was certain, but it was astonishing that she still seemed surprised when she was arrested for it. If you want to put all that stuff in your purse, I'd appreciate it. Okay. I was just going to do it. Yeah, I need you to turn around. Okay. You'll be placed under arrest, okay? Really? Yes, ma'am. You're under because it's retail theft. Okay? I thought that everybody would walk out. It's all right, ma'am. Policies are policies. Nothing against you. >> to lock me up and I'm going to go to jail? You're going to go with me. I didn't mean to do that. You didn't mean to do it. You said you did it on purpose. I know I didn't mean to do it. I just wasn't thinking. You mean you didn't mean to get caught. I'm sorry, sir. Let me ask you something. Those boots, are those for your husband? See, got my gun going on. 241101. What would your husband think if he knew that you didn't pay for those to give them for him? He would be very upset. Yeah. You wouldn't mind standing up, ma'am? I got to just make sure you got nothing on you. >> Okay. Is this your car key? >> Yeah. Put that in your so we don't lose that. Okay, no pockets. I'm so sorry. Ma'am, is something out of New Black? Where did you pull that one from? The tag from a the coat, I think it was. Ultimately, the woman was charged with felony retail theft. Trying to cheat the system for personal gain may seem clever in the moment, but dishonesty and calculated theft often lead to serious consequences that could have been easily avoided. Even more astonishing, the next thief turned out to be truly professional. Criminally is affected by the value of an individual instance. Being that it's five separate instances, That's silly, but Yeah, I don't think they'll be comfortable with that. On the 29th of January 2026, officers were dispatched to Walmart after receiving a report of a theft at the store. Surprisingly, when they approached her, the woman suspected of the crime openly admitted her actions without the slightest trace of shame. I changed the ticket on some of them. The like the barcode or the Yes. Okay. Do you know or what like stuff exactly do Did you bring the tickets with you? >> No, she No, don't. Um Took it off something else. Okay. Okay. When you say ticket, you're talking about the tag, they're like the yellow sticker with the price number on it? >> Yeah, that's not mine. Okay. Okay. Okay. All right. Do you normally just shop at this Meijer? Do you Is this a good address for you? No, I shop here. Okay, and you still live at Okay. I'll look at you there. Good. Yeah. I'll hang out. Didn't know what you needed, so I figured I'd hang out. Extra hand never hurts. >> All that stuff on you, I know you couldn't be cold. Oh, no. I'm sweating. That's why I'm doing this. I'm trying to I'm trying to air it out. I'm I'm wet from like here down. >> I'm sure you is. I know you couldn't be cold. Oh, it's better a little bit sweaty than freezing cuz you never know. >> not good because you sweating and then you're out in the cold. Her admission should have been something worth acknowledging, but in reality, it reflected her arrogant confidence because this was far from her first time. How many total times did you say? I believe it's five. Five other cases. What we do, whether we cite you, release you, charge you criminally, is affected by the value of an individual incident. Being that it's five separate incidents, you'll likely have five separate cases with five separate charges corresponding to the set amounts on any given day. Likely today you will just end up leaving here. We'll get some information from you uh worst with some charges pending uh if not with just some citations, okay? Because of the value amount. Being that it is a habit, have you ever been arrested for anything like this before or ever been convicted of anything? This is just first time? A new bad habit that just kind of kept happening or Money problem. >> Money. I I can understand that. Why only reason I ask is that also affects what we can and can't do as well. If you had a history as far as like you've been convicted of this type of thing before, that changes the charge that we have as well. So, ladies, we have several different options. Honestly, it's kind of up to them as they are the victim as to how they want things done, but there are different levels. Um not very likely that you're going to end up walking out of here in handcuffs, that kind of thing. We do want to make sure that you get home, but we do have to make sure things are documented. We get you to the right courthouse. According to the report, each of her thefts brought the total value to approximately $174 with none of the individual incidents exceeding $100. Yet even knowing it was wrong, she appeared completely indifferent to it. Yeah, I don't think that'll be comfortable for you. I know. I'm just saying you don't have to feel like you're stuck holding that or anything like that. You're You're okay. I think I'm ready for winter to be done. Yeah. Yeah, it's been it's been a rough week. It's supposed to get nicer. I I swear the weather guy said it's going to be like the 30s next week. Yeah. I'm not going to Yeah. I'm just glad we got our windows done before the cold came. It was so bad this year. We couldn't get enough blinds closed. We had uh Everything closed up. Couldn't see the sunshine. Our house uh We had all the windows up. He lives back. I got a I got a moose for a dog. She likes the outside better than the inside, so At that moment, her charge was determined to be released pending a court date and officers escorted her to ensure she would not return after being issued a new trespass order from the store. I know that's all freaking out on my own, but whatever. My bad. My bad. Sorry I made that more difficult. Where did you park at? Okay. >> You want to sit in too? I do. Probably be you do you guys have? Probably that. Might say maybe in the front if you're comfortable with it. I'm Oh, yeah. You're good with that. I'd say the front. That's what I meant. In the front. However, the conclusion shifted due to the repeated nature of her actions and as a result, the woman soon faced a different outcome. It's better than walking you through Meyer with them on, right? Hell yeah. It's also a lot better than having to sit on your hands, too. Yes. We're trying to be as >> to help you out. So, it'll be easier probably put your butt in first and then step in one foot at a time. Okay. Yep. We'll do another quick one when we get in there. Finally, she was charged with five counts of retail theft, each classified as a misdemeanor, and was ordered to appear in court. Admitting wrongdoing does not erase the consequences. When bad habits repeat, they turn small crimes into serious legal trouble.
