Okay, listen. We're going to be placing you here. I have a ticket. >> That's what happens when dumb shoplifterss think they've made a smooth escape. Starting with these girls who seemed all too familiar with bargaining with officers. >> Oh, I know you. What's up? >> You, too. >> No, you know my last name. You know my full name. >> You know my last name. I hardly know who I am. I actually >> On the 6th of July 2024, officers responded to a Macy's after receiving a report of two teenagers suspected of shoplifting who had been detained in the store's loss prevention office. But the trouble didn't stop there as officers also discovered another offense. >> Meow. Do you just want to do the digital statement form? I give the only for >> Oh, I know you. >> I know you, too. >> So, probably better than yours. Just >> at this point, just letting you guys know you are under arrest for theft three. Um, it sounds like you guys also had a bottle of vodka with you. So, it's minor in possession. I don't know. >> Which one are you? >> Huh? Can you just tell me when am I going to go to jail? >> I don't know. At this point, just based off your history. Normally, just with the three charges, just call parents release the parents. Again, you guys are in contact with the police frequently. So, I don't know exactly. >> I am though. >> I'm aware of who you're hanging out with. >> I don't know. I don't know. So, here's the deal. If you guys don't want to give me your name, that's going to be an additional charge. >> Okay, >> we'll go down to the department. >> You'll be identified. >> Okay, >> I'm not going to >> This is my roommate. Okay. >> It seemed neither of them felt guilty as they both appeared to know that their age meant they would not face the same legal consequences. Worse, one of them acted as if she was already far too familiar with situations like this. Take one thing at a time. >> Just need you to pay attention and listen. All right. >> Just need you to pay attention and listen. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can be used against you in the court of law. You have the right at this time to talk to a lawyer and have them present with you or being questioned. >> If you cannot afford to hire a lawyer, won't be appointed to represent you before question if you any time to exercise these rights. Not answer any questions or make any statements. Okay. Actually, I do actually have to. >> Since you're juvenile, anything you say can be used against you in a juvenile court prosecution for a juvenile offense. >> It can also be used against you an adult court criminal prosecution if you're tried as an adult. Do you understand? >> Do you understand your rights? >> Yeah. Wait. Try as an adult. No, I don't understand. >> Do you understand your rights? Do you want me to reread them, too? >> The whole thing. >> I just heard the whole thing, by the way. >> No. No. I just heard the whole thing. The cops always just tell us. >> Do you understand your rights? >> Yes, I do understand my rights. Trust me, I've been here before. >> Do you know who I am? >> Wait, are you guys taking your money? >> It's in my wallet. I have a wallet. >> Are you going to stay seated? >> Huh? >> Are you going to stay seated like or do I need to put >> them? Do I need to put you back in handcuffs or you need to stay where you're at? >> Yeah, you can take off. >> The officers then delivered the consequences they had to face, but they still seemed to show little concern as a felony. Is a felony or misdemeanor? M Mr. Morris, Officer Morris, >> copy. >> What's up? >> Is trespassing a felony or a misdemeanor? >> So, if you trespass, there's trespass one, trespass 2. That's basically being on the property versus in a building. >> And then if you commit a crime, if you commit a crime while you're trespassing, that's burglary, which is fine. >> How what was the >> 85? Yeah, >> I don't see anyone that PC theft, too. >> You have a question? >> No. >> How much was it? >> How much is the >> 805 something like that? >> This is it. >> So, you'll be trespass for 3 years. Oh, this year you said >> July 6, 202 July 6th, 2027. That includes AMC and everything. >> What level? >> With the total value of the merchandise reaching around $800. Officers had to document the case and take their photos. But apparently getting a clear picture was difficult when they were not exactly willing to cooperate. >> Another one picture. I have to >> you need to show him your face cuz you're trespassing the mall so you can give me take a picture of you. >> Excuse me. If we're gonna play that then this is going to go a whole lot more confusing. Why? >> She just took a picture. How would you >> call me? What about that? >> Cuz you're a cop. Like >> I call You don't have to be like that. >> Okay. Well, that's not respectful of you. >> This is respectful either. Take out my cups. >> Respectful. >> No. Why are you taking out your cuts? You're under arrest. What's that? That's not fair. >> I was borrowing it. >> Oh, I see it. >> I was going to put it back. >> I'm sensing out why they are. >> WHAT'S THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN? I AM. >> Most likely transport them there. >> Uh Showing no concern for the situation, they only dragged out the officer's work. While their growing boredom showed how little awareness either seemed to have >> I like being watched. >> It's weird. >> Did you call my dad yet? >> Not yet. >> Did you call my mom? >> Say he's not here yet. >> Talk to her. >> She's cool with Christian. Can you please sit back? >> Sit. >> No. >> You Here's here's what's going to happen. If you don't, I'm going to put you in cuffs. >> Okay. I'm already jumps completely. >> Both hands. >> You want to be like this right now? >> You need to be able Please just get up. You need to be able to fix right here. That's it. >> Okay. Thank you. >> No. >> You've lost that privilege. >> Okay. Okay. >> All right. We're going to go out the vehicle. So, I'm placing you back into handcuff. You can just stand up for me. Can you stand up? >> I can't. >> Stand up. >> Stand up. >> I can't go that far. >> Please don't. No. I was going to do this one. >> We're standing up. >> Stop. Do you want to get a resisting arrest charge? Then stand up. Oh my god. Cops are >> Oh god. >> Stay where you're at. >> Yep. I'm not really What can I do? >> Take your hand out and sleep behind your back. Okay. Cops around you before. >> Both teenagers were charged with felony retail theft and possession of alcohol by a minor. Treating a serious situation like a joke can only make things worse. Cooperating with officers is a much better choice than wasting their time or creating additional problems. Even worse, the next case goes far beyond an ordinary theft. >> Don't know about his lower body. We did not move him cuz I was afraid of his spine. >> Doesn't mean you have to talk to me. Simply saying, I read this to you and you understand. >> I refuse. >> That's fine with me. On the 22nd of October 2025, police were dispatched to the scene after receiving an emergency call about an incident on the roadway. A witness reported seeing a man clinging to the hood of an SUV as he was dragged along the road. Here's what happened when police arrived at the scene. >> Hey. Okay, we go. >> Yep. And there's his phone. >> All right. Hey, sir. >> Can you hear me? Can you hear me? >> He hasn't been able to answer any questions. I asked him what he was if his shoulders dislocated. I don't know about his lower body. We did not move him >> cuz I was afraid of his spine. >> Anything down here? >> Who Who's involved here? Where's the vehicle? >> No idea. >> His vehicle is That's his right. >> No, that's my daughter. We pulled over. >> Car is pulled over. There's no 57 as he's still conscious. All right. >> Just got a blanket to cover him up. >> Hey, what's your name? >> You know, I got it right here. >> What's your name? Right here. >> 5763. Got a DL break. >> He's got tons of road rash right here. His shirts off. His >> Hey, what's your name, partner? Huh? We're going to get you some help. >> You got vital. She's shaking. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Just bring it. >> I'm at 635. So, how did this incident begin in the first place leading to such a dangerous situation? One witness stepped forward and recounted how the whole confrontation started. >> So, um I was at this traffic light. There was a car behind me. I heard something scraping and I'm like, "What the heck is that?" Then I see this car right here pull up and I'm like, "Oh, it's his bumper." >> He pulled up. He he like jetted in front of me and then jetted in the lane next to me and then cut this woman off. >> Okay. >> Cut this woman off. His car was like like this. This is where he stopped. Her car was like a little bit back here >> in the turn lane or in the straight lane. >> She at that point she cut she was No, she was in this lane right here. Not the turn lane. The straight lane. >> The through lane. >> Yep. She was in the straight lane. He cuts her off. He gets out of his car on the hood of her car, screaming at her >> and holds on to like her windshield wipers or whatever. >> Yeah, like the maybe the >> Yeah. holding on something. Yeah. His belly is down. He's yelling at her. She's clearly like, "Oh my god, what the heck?" >> So, she's like jerking her car to get him to come off. He doesn't get off, but he stays on. And then ultimately, she ends up facing this way by kind of circling like a U-turn >> basically. Yes. And so at that point her bumper is backed up against my bumper >> and I saw her reverse lights go on. I'm like, "Oh, she's me." So I end up the light turns green. I go down Cooper to head home. And then at that point she when I'm driving down Cooper, I see her car now facing >> Who is that? Is that one of our detectives? >> So we're not This is all supposed to be closed right now. >> Oh. Oh, okay. her her bumper is um so she's now turned completely around and she's face driving. >> She is literally holding on and she's driving with him on the hood of her car. Okay, >> I don't know. That's where I last saw. I thought I saw him tumble off but maybe I didn't. But >> the witness's statements all pointed to the same story and there appeared to be no reason for them to lie about what they had seen. But even then, the driver behind the wheel remained a mystery. Using the vehicle's license plate information, police were eventually able to locate the SUV connected to the incident. >> Well, there she is. >> How did you guys find it? >> Uh, okay. Well, here's the gist of it. >> I just pulled up the hot and I drove around for about 3 minutes and found sitting here that match the description of the vehicle was stolen out of the burglar on campus. So, I rolled up, made contact with them, and uh there was a female standing out on the passenger side. There was a male inside that was sifted through everything. Um, and uh, officer wound up showing up with me. We got a thing. We both have all the warrants from the car was stolen. >> Info from you guys. >> Who you guys have? The males info. We can get >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Yeah. They both got jail. So, >> female got heart failure as soon as she wound up hearing something on the radio was with regard to your guys' stuff. us, man. What's going on? >> He'll get you. >> I can drive it. >> Oh, no. I'm >> So, did you guys go through the car? >> He did. And another K9 officer did. They were wearing gloves. I only touched the >> crime part briefly. >> Yeah. We didn't know it was on. >> I figured at first it was just like a Yeah, just you guys. It was just a 45 at first. >> Yep. Uh, his name Brian Spalding. SB P A U L D I N G. Do OB 328 to 77. 328 or 77. Yep. >> After further investigation, the driver was identified as Danielle Henry, 34. Investigators also found that she had been shoplifting at the same Kroger, while the SUV she was driving had been reported stolen. She was already wanted on warrants related to theft, receiving stolen property, and failure to comply, which may help explain why she fled the scene. Both Henry and the injured man were later taken for medical evaluation. >> I like to put your shoes. >> Can I please pee first? >> I got to pee so bad. >> Did you pee for them? >> No. >> Why didn't you? >> You never asked me to. Yeah, they did. I watched them. I was right there. >> Well, I don't remember. >> I'm going to pee myself for you. >> We'll give you your jacket. Get your shoes off first. >> Making a lot of noise. >> Yes. Yes, you have. Put your jacket on. >> Can I please >> zip your jacket? Zip your jacket. >> Hands behind your back. Turn around. >> Palms together as if you were praying. >> I can't pee. >> Palms together as if you were praying. >> I can't pee. Oh. Oh. She showed little sign of remorse for what had happened. Even at the police station, she remained seemingly unfazed, choosing to exercise her right to remain silent and refusing to answer the detective's questions. Okay. What does that kind of mean to you? >> That means I don't talk until I speak to a lawyer. >> Okay. It means you can or can't. It's up to you. Okay. Would you sign here that you that I read this to you and you understand it? The print and sign doesn't mean you have to talk to me. simply saying, "I read this to you and you understand." >> I refuse. >> That's fine with me. >> What's your highest level of education? >> Just make sure I that what I what I read to you, you understand. >> I'm competent. >> Okay, fair enough. >> Do you have any idea why you're here today? >> Hey, Danielle, >> I I don't know. >> You don't know? Let me let's explain. >> Can we should we talk about why you're here today? >> I want to speak to a lawyer. >> You don't want to talk to us at all today? >> No. >> That's entirely your right. I will tell you, you have every right to not talk to us. You have every right to end this end this interview and talk to an attorney. Um I will tell you that a lot of what I'm here to talk to you about is I would like to get your side of it because I know there's it was probably a pretty hectic situation. I'd like to see what you have to say about it, but again, I can't force you to talk to me. So, it's entirely what up to you what you want to do today. >> I want to speak to you. >> Okay. Do you understand the charges? >> No, I don't know what you charge for. >> Okay. >> I'll explain to you. I have a couple of things for you that you're being charged with aggravated uh vehicular homicide. >> What? >> Aggravated vehicular homicide, involuntary manslaughter, and stopping after an accident for the on the roadway. the felony of that. >> What? >> I would love to sit and discuss this with you, but you decided you don't want to speak to me. >> Okay, that's fine. >> Would you like to to discuss this a little bit about what where these charges came from? What's going on with them? >> Initially, Danielle Henry was charged with aggravated vehicular homicide, involuntary manslaughter, and failure to stop after an accident, along with additional charges and active warrants related to theft and receiving stolen property. She later pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicular homicide while the other charges were dropped. Henry was sentenced to at least 4 years and up to 5 and 1/2 years in prison, and her driver's license was permanently revoked. The lesson: a dangerous confrontation on the road can escalate into consequences far beyond the original dispute. When an accident happens, stopping and cooperating with authorities can be critical. Next, this woman took things even further by driving away with an entire carload of stolen merchandise. >> Her son's on his way up here, so I'm sure he's going to be a delight. >> On the 25th of January, 2026, officers approached a vehicle driven by a woman identified as Duran, who had allegedly pushed two carts loaded with unpaid merchandise out of Walmart before driving away. She appeared to deny everything, but what officers found inside the car told a completely different story. >> Yeah, you were. >> Let's find that ID then, Donna. I don't care. I need more than your name. I need your driver's license. >> Got a lot of merchandise in here. There a lot of stuff in here unbagged. >> Where is your insurance at? >> Well, that's not very smart to not bring the right purse, right? What about this purse right here? >> Yeah. What about this purse in the back? This officer sees. >> Why don't we Why don't we look? >> Why do you have a big old empty purse? >> Even rolling down the window. >> Big empty purse is nicer. >> I don't know who you are. >> This whole box is >> You have tinted windows and your windows rolled up. Let's see what's in your hand, then hand me what's in your hand. >> We'll just see what she what she took. There's a lot of loose merchandise throughout the vehicle. Why is all this stuff in the back not bagged up? The stuff you just got from the office. We're going to we're going to we're going to determine if you're good or not. >> Currently detained, ma'am. >> Give me my Give me my >> You're not leaving. Turn the vehicle off. >> My paper. >> If you do not turn the vehicle off, I will bust this window out. >> You ain't going to bust nothing. >> Turn the vehicle off. >> I'm not going to bust. I got I'm It's I'm not You're not going to bust nothing. >> You ain't leaving. >> Yes, I am. >> You want to bet? >> Yes, I am. >> Try to drive off. See what happens. >> You are current. I don't need one. You are currently detained and that's called obstruction. No, I'm not. >> Yes, you are. Where'd you go to law school at? >> Where'd you go to law school? >> She became visibly annoyed as officers inspected her vehicle piece by piece, showing no intention of getting out. Instead, she continued making suspicious movements inside the car. >> Quit reaching around. Put your hands on the steering wheel. I wouldn't be in your face. I don't know what you're reaching for. >> I'M LOOKING FOR MY PHONE. YOU THERE? >> YEP. >> SO, UH, apparently it was a whole car push out. >> Huh? >> It was a whole car push out. Said all the merchandise that was stolen on the back passenger side of her vehicle and they said, uh, he's Brad's getting ready to send me a photo. AP is not on right now. WS prevention is not on, but manager was the one that reviewed the camera and they tried to stop her and she just kept pushing past. So, he's sending me a photo now cuz he's reviewing the camera. See if she's willing to get out or if we're going to have to get her out. >> Hey, Joe. >> Well, she won't even roll down the window. Really? She rolled it down like half an inch if you want to cuz she's not going to come out. I mean, if she does, we'll call you off, but I don't think she's going to get out. >> Yeah, we'll give her an ultimatum. >> Tell her tell her here's how to say look the manager who's reporting this. >> All right. All right. Bye. The information coming over the radio confirmed the allegations against the woman. The officer explained the situation to her, but it seemed her arrogance made her unwilling to accept any of it. >> As the law as by Walmart management that you committed a retail theft. >> I did not do that. I did not I didn't commit no no retail. >> Okay. Well, there's six witnesses that say otherwise. >> Okay. >> Maybe. But I had somebody else with with me. >> Okay. Uh the photo I just received was you pushing a cart by yourself? >> No. with a load full of merchandise which is currently sitting in your back seat. So you have here's here's what what's known as an ultimatum. Okay. We need you to step out of the vehicle. Okay. >> Or we have to get you out of the vehicle. So let's make this easy. >> No, no, no. So what are you talking about doing? >> So currently you need to exit the vehicle. >> Is it a vehicle for what? >> Because we're going to place you under arrest. >> Huh? >> We're going to place you under arrest for retail theft. You need to get off the phone. You're here talking to me. Step out of the vehicle. Are you going to be hit with another charge of obstruction? >> I'm up here. >> You got about 10 seconds before I open the door. >> What's her name? >> Okay, Donna. Donna. >> So, you on your way? >> It doesn't matter who's on their way. They're going to get charges. Open the door. Open the door before I open it. Open the door. >> Ignoring every request from the officers, she seemed determined to test their patience. But with no nonsense cops standing in front of her, she would soon regret it. >> Like that. Don't do that. >> Go ahead and step out. I step out. >> You wait a minute. >> Step out. >> You don't call a shot here. Step out of the car. >> Neither. And you you you you said that I was speeding. I wasn't speeding. >> It doesn't matter. >> Yes, it does. >> Come on. >> You also committed a retail thing. >> I ain't I didn't commit. Let me get my stuff. >> You got about two seconds before I remove you. >> Move. Move. >> Step out. >> I can get out. Move. >> You do not call the shots. >> Move. Let me don't go cuz you don't care about me. >> Get out. >> Don't pull me. >> Get out. DON'T PULL ME. GET OUT OF THE CAR. >> Don't pull me. >> Stop pulling me. Stop pulling me. >> Get out of the car. >> Stop pulling me. Don't pull me. >> What's your name? I got you. >> Yo, I'm pulling me out. >> No. Let me get my >> No, you don't call. Don't put Stop it. >> You better stop pulling my arm like that, man. >> Stop pulling my arm. >> Listen. >> No. Ain't no Listen. You don't do me like that. Don't do me like that. >> Don't resist. How about that? >> Don't do me like that. >> How about don't resist? >> I got you. And you probably get above my head if Okay. Okay. Got you. >> Got you. For real. >> That's fine. >> Got you. >> Officer Carter, badge number 130. >> Yeah. Okay. >> She showed no sign of remorse for her actions while a closer search of the vehicle continued to reveal more incriminating evidence inside. She said then she can total it up tonight if we have the actual property of what she took or if we want to hang on to it now. >> Let me take photos for you. >> You guys need to get a hold of it. >> Her son's on his way up here, so I'm sure he's going to be a delight. >> Yeah. So, what however you guys want to do get the food and stuff back now. >> They can't. Yeah, that's that's fun. He's get everything out that she says was stolen, I guess, and put it on the hood and get a picture of it >> in the the perishables. >> So, I'll have the manager walk up here. >> I mean, normally they keep everything. >> I wouldn't be surprised if some of this came from Sam's Club like this. They don't sell that kind of stuff. >> Yeah, they do. >> Do they I think a titless. >> Yeah. There was three buckets of >> Yeah. There's a couple more back here. >> Yep. That brown bag. >> Is that what she was pushing around? >> Yep. >> What about this? It's got a bottle of wine or something. >> Yep. That whole bag. >> Yeah, that bag was in the cart. What about these big old uh >> She stole the bag? >> These pork spare ribs. >> The pork spare ribs. Yes. >> What about this bear? I didn't see that >> the tag on it. >> Yeah, I didn't see that one. But th those ramen noodles for sure. And that tide and that brown bag was in there. >> Yep. That was on a picture. It was three buckets of chitlings, though. >> There was I think >> she was charged with retail theft over $300, resisting a peace officer, and obstructing a peace officer. Denying wrongdoing does not erase the evidence. When officers give you lawful instructions, refusing to cooperate can turn a theft investigation into even more serious charges. Next up, this shoplifter was caught red-handed with more than $200 worth of electronics. >> Did you by chance put some towels in your bag? No. >> No. Can I open it? Have you bought it yet? >> No. >> All right. So, just be careful cuz that is technically concealing. On the 7th of January 2025, police approached a man while he was shopping at Kroger, mainly because he appeared to be carrying a bag containing several concealed items. Here's what happened next. >> Hey, partner. Hey, did you by chance put some towels in your bag? >> No. Can I open it? Make sure cuz apparently the LPO's are asking about you. your speaker. Have you bought it yet? No. All right. So, just be careful cuz that is technically concealing. Did you get it from here? >> You want to walk up front with us? You can push your cart. >> I don't think they're going to have an issue with you, but we'll just go ask the loss prevention. We'll figure it out. All right. But just know you're being entertained, okay? You're not free to leave. Just go down this aisle. Aisle 36 and wait at the corner. You want to wait with him? >> Did you call? Did you call? >> Where's your Where's the opio? >> Who was it? Oh, >> yeah. I got you. >> The concealed items seemed like undeniable evidence. Yet, the man showed little panic, almost as if he knew what was coming. Even after being permanently banned from the store, he remained calm. Could this really have been his first time? >> All right, boss. Like I said, they just want you uh trespass from the store. Or do you want it permanent or do you want it one year permanent? So just a permanent uh trespass for the She said you were concealing other items. I don't I don't know about that. Just stick right here. I'm going just get some paperwork. It's a civil agreement. You don't have to, but um I still got to read you like the the warning and everything. Can you radio LP? >> Just to see what she wants to do with his part. How you doing, officer? >> Good. How's it going? >> Trying to get this kit gift. >> Oh, yep. Yes, sir. >> All right. You You just disappear. Um, do you want him to just leave his cart right there or do you want him to still be able to purchase the items that he does have? >> No. Uh, take his bag. >> Okay. So, just his bag. >> All right. Just uh pick up whatever is yours. The the bag is Is that your towel as well? Looking closer, beyond the towel reported by the store and the speaker the officer discovered, they kept finding more items that had been concealed. >> Yeah, >> he had he had that that gray towel that you pointed out. He had earbuds stacked in it and it was over the top. >> So, I need to rain that up, too. >> Is that something you want to do? >> How many earbuds were >> four of them? He had saw >> him wrapped his stuff in the top. >> Yeah, he had like this. It was like that. And I just pulled that. >> Oh, wow. Okay. Thank you. >> Yeah. So, if you if you want to if you're going to ring that up and if you want to change your mind, just let us know while we're filling out the B. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> One was 171 and 77. >> All right. So, y'all are willing to prosecute? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Um, just give me a signature or print uh wrong print sign date. >> Okay. >> Is this their first time seeing him? Okay. He come here all the time. I used to pay for his stuff. >> All right, Mr. Marshall. Go ahead. Turn around for me. Right back. Just be cool. All right. And then we'll we'll help you out. Okay. You got to go to jail for misdemeanor shop. Okay. >> What do you have in your pocket? >> My babes. >> The man remained completely calm as if he already knew what was happening. Police then escorted him outside and conducted a search. You have a holster for it. >> Why is it out of the holster? Just like that. Oh, a punch knife. I have one of these. I saw that you've been to county before. What was that all about? Was that your first arrest? The pointing the gun at the other >> first arrest. That was really self-defense. >> Okay. However they worded it, I guess. >> So, at first they didn't want to prosecute and then I found those uh earbuds and then they were like, "Yeah, we're going to prosecute. You don't have anything else that's there, do you? Total came out to $200 or so. Just can't conceal those items inside the store. I don't know what your intentions were. I'm not accusing that you were going to steal it, but that's what it looks like. If you get my flow, >> it's a big bait. >> You don't see those no more. You only see the little jewel thing. >> Lift over your hand slightly. >> You got Tim under here, brother. >> You said two grand babies. >> Oh, you get you once I however fast I can write is how fast you. >> But after police confirmed the suspect's actions, they changed their decision and proceeded with the arrest. Damn, this is a shitty spot that I parked. >> Yeah. >> All right, you can go ahead. Hop out. >> Face the 911 again for this one. >> Unfortunately, I'm a popular guy and I don't think taking you to jail for misdemeanor shoplifting. There you go. is real well worth it. But I'd advise you not to shoplift because these LPS are good at what they do. Unfort Well, unfortunate for you. Unfort fortunately for me. >> Yeah. She seemed completely cheerful, making expressions as if she were simply playing around with everything that was happening. >> Step on out real quick. [ __ ] Nothing. Nothing. You search her? >> Yeah, I do. >> Thank you. >> Thanks, sir. >> Thanks. >> Can we meet up at Mr. McDonald's later? >> In the end, Aquashia Stanford was charged with theft and criminal trespass to real property. No matter how powerful or well-connected your family may be, those connections cannot protect you from the consequences of your own actions, arrogance and refusing to cooperate will only make the situation worse. >> Back and then all of a sudden you were like, "Oh my god, my bag." >> Yeah. >> And I'm like, "What? >> Do you want to talk about what happened or >> No. >> Okay. >> My attorney said that too. Just on the 4th of February 2026, police received a call from a woman reporting that she had lost a black Chanel purse valued at more than $7,000 while having dinner at a restaurant. After immediately arriving at the scene, the victim explained in detail what had happened. >> So, were you sitting out here or at the bar? >> At the bar. >> At the bar. I came back and then all of a sudden you were like, "Oh my god, my bag." >> And I'm like, "What are you talking about?" That's you. And I was like, >> so a black Chanel purse. >> What was the color of the like the Was it a gold? >> Yeah, it's a it's a Chanel purse. >> Okay. Was you remember the brand of your leather wallet? >> It's not a brand. It's just an Italian. >> What color was your wallet? >> Gold. >> Gold. Okay. And your PNC debit card? Uh >> PNC CD. Bank of America. >> Now, is there a chance you you left your first purse at home by any chance or are you positive you brought it? >> No, I am positive I came out. I'm very together. Trust me, I am very I'm a very head on my shoulder. >> No problem. >> They had a table that's was at the far end. >> Him and I stepped away and we went to the bar. So, he ordered another drink and I wanted to eat so I ordered something to eat. >> Where was the purse at that point? >> I think it was left on the where he was sitting on the on that sofa. There's a sofa back in that corner somewhere. Okay. You believe that the the purse was left on the sofa >> right >> where you were sitting. You don't believe you brought it to the bar? >> I don't believe. >> Shortly after, police entered the restaurant to search for the purse. Since quite some time had already passed, they had to keep approaching different people and asking them about it. >> We're looking for a black Chanel. >> No, don't know. >> That's trash. >> That's trash. I'll let you know if I see it. >> We appreciate I'll let the officer know. That'd be great. >> Thank you. Hey guys, anybody turn in a black Chanel purse? >> Anyone turn in a black Chanel purse? Thank you. >> I don't want to. >> Hey guys, don't mean to interrupt. Do you guys happen to see a black Chanel purse laying around? >> Someone said she was flinging her purse around all night. So >> she's going I'm sorry. >> Someone said she was flinging her purse around all night. >> That's what I was trying to see. No problem. No worries. No worries. It'd be evident. >> I started the night here. We were basically here with a group of people. She wasn't really here. to standing and walking with my buddy Steve. She then transitioned. They were sitting right here like the entire night. My group of friends, they get up to leave. I transition over. I'm hanging out with them. I I talked to one guy back there for a little bit. I'm like walking around. I her whole time. And then all of a sudden, I get a walk. I come back and they're like, "Her bag's gone. You guys may need to run some footage for a little bit, but not a crazy amount." What really freaked me out, and I'm not trying to be like profiling anybody, there was a guy. I was talking to right there. He was in definie and like a little bit out of place. He was not dressed well. He said he was from New York. I like talked to him for a little bit and then he's like, "Oh, I was like, I'm going to go walk around, see if there's any ladies here." I walk around, I come back, he's gone, and then bag's gone. Now, it could be just bad timing, but it was he was like the least rest guy here. You know what I mean? It was a little weird >> and it seemed to be his first time here. The last man also provided important information that helped identify a group of people and a man who might be involved. Shortly afterward, the victim also provided additional information related to that group. >> Explain, you know, what time you got there, how how everything started. >> Oh, I got to the meat market. I stepped out to have something to eat. I went inside. I saw my friend Steve and Case was sitting down with a with a group of friends. He introduced me to a couple of ladies who I had met several times before. So, they were with a couple of ladies and they invited me to sit down. I put my bag down but didn't sit down. I stood up to converse with Steve. He offered me a drink. Looked around for my purse and my purse was gone. >> Okay. And what type of purse was this? >> This is a Chanel bag. It's a flap. It's a medium size. You told the officer in the initial recording was about $3,000. So you would say it's about roughly $7,000 right now. >> Yes. >> Okay. So this is your purse here, correct? That black purse? >> Yes. >> So this female, you don't know who's touching your purse at the moment. >> Oh, she did. Wow. Okay. As you can tell, it's exactly across from me. >> This is your purse. >> That's correct. That's my purse. Yes, that is >> the female should not be touching your purse. You don't know her. And um have you spoke to any of the females? >> No. >> And you're saying that you don't you don't necessarily know them? >> No, I don't know them at all. I just met them that night. I was introduced by Casease. Case was being polite. He saw me coming. He said hello. He introduced me to the ladies >> to his group. >> Based on the CCTV footage provided by the victim, police were able to contact the man involved on February 11th. During the conversation, he began to reveal some information about the suspect. >> I'm going to show you a video here on my computer. Can you tell me who this person is here with the brown jacket, white shirt? >> That's going to be me. >> Okay. And who is the female that's sitting right next to you with the white dress? >> Right. So, I only know basically her first name. It's Sandra. Um, I had met her that night. >> Okay. >> Um, and I believe she's just friends of one of the friends that I was with that night. So, and the only one I know that she's friends with is a woman named Simona, which >> that's the one in Yes, that's the one in the black. Okay. So, you're saying that she's Simona is friends with um to Sandra? >> To the best of my knowledge? Yes. >> And then do you know who this other female is right here with the black dress, the the taller one? >> Let's see. Uh yes, that's Mallalerie. That would be Simona's cousin who's visiting from Texas. >> And at any point, did you see her uh take a purse that was uh next to you guys? I did not view anything personally. I only later in the night um after that the group that I was sitting with had left and Steve alerted me that her bag was missing and they believed it was stolen. >> And who provided you with Sandra's phone number? >> My uh Mallerie, who's uh Simona's cousin, was trying to watch the Knicks game on her phone. the battery was really low and so I brought I left for like a minute to get a battery pack like a wireless battery pack for my car and both girls uh Sandra and Mallerie were really impressed by that and they said can you send me the link on Amazon for the battery pack and I said sure so I sent it to Mallerie and then Sandra said okay well send it to me here's my number and she gave me her phone number and I texted her >> the picture here that you see is this Sandra >> that is Sandra yes >> okay >> police directly called Sandra but she shifted the blame onto another friend who she claimed was holding the purse. Officers then contacted that friend to find out what had happened. >> What's your name? >> Simona Rosenberg. >> There was an incident that occurred at the meat market. Was that the last time you you went there? >> Yes. >> Okay. And who were you there with that day? >> My cousin Mallerie. >> My friend Lauren. My friend Sandra. >> Okay. >> A couple other people filled in to say hi. I don't recall everyone's name. >> Do you know this woman here with the white dress? >> Sandra is probably here. Let me get you a better >> Sandra. Uh, Fredo, >> what about Sandra? Did she come with you? >> No, Sandra Madison. >> Okay. How well do you know Sandra? >> She's a newer friend, but four or five months? >> I was just at her birthday party last night in at her home. >> Did you ever tell her that you left maybe your purse or anything behind? >> No. >> She hasn't mentioned that to you. >> I was there with a black air mouse purse. I think I had my black purse there. Oh, I never said I left behind. >> What about um Sandra? Did she ever talk to you about any like a purse or anything? >> No. >> There was this woman had her a black Chanel purse. >> Mhm. >> Next to us on the bench and that's >> And how do you know that was her purse? >> She said, "That's mine." Cuz we said, "Who's this?" She says, "That's mine." >> So >> Mallerie came with a purse this a small clutch this big. I don't know what Sandra had. >> I had a my own black bag that was in this corner behind Mallerie. >> Okay. >> And there was a Chanel purse right here. And I'll tell you now, so that black purse went missing and um you can see that Sandra took the purse that night. The purse belongs to my victim here. She called and set that up the camera. >> The woman became extremely distressed after learning that her friend had been accused of taking the purse. Since she had clearly been dragged into the situation unintentionally, the officers tried to reassure her. >> I know nothing with you ain't no stolen purse. >> What are you looking to do with you? Oh, I haven't I haven't talked to her yet. >> Why are you crying? There's nothing to do. >> No, no, no, no. You don't know her well enough and you don't know what she's up to. It's not your problem, nor your nor calm down. Take a deep breath with me. Now we get That's not your problem. >> I know, but he's just trying to get to the bottom of it. >> Somebody I trust stole >> and you you saw on the camera that somebody who I invited to dinner that that S was a friend of mine. He paid for everyone's dinner. >> And he's saying who you have to ask when you look. He's saying you saw on camera that you saw she stole the purse. >> I saw that she walked out of the purse. She walked in. >> That's okay. Mute it. >> I was horrible. Jamie, >> you're not in trouble though. I problem. I had a birthday party last night at her home. >> You woman that does my Botox. >> It's upsetting. Jamie, >> 100%. But you're not in trouble. Imagine you sat here. >> I know. I really, right? >> Yes. Okay. Breathe. Breathe. Breathe. It's not you. It's not your daughter. I'm trying to calm you down. It's nothing to do with anything you did. >> Thank God. >> So, is it a nice purse? It's a beautiful black Chanel purse. We said, "Who's is this?" And that blonde woman, her hair was all whack. And she said, "That's mine." We said, "Okay." >> We didn't know. She was a lady was standing at the bar. She was going back and forth. >> I want you to breathe. Sit down. First of all, sit down. I want you to breathe. >> No, I know. It's terrible. I was just in this woman's home last night. >> I don't want you to get upset, though. I know exactly. We get crazy. We just take a deep breath. Want some lemonade? >> Take a deep breath and take some I know we call our nerves a bit. >> Okay. So, all I needed from you was basically to confirm that, you know, that is Sandra. You have no play in this case. I mean, I already spoke to two other people who confirmed it was her. >> You don't want anything right now, right? >> I will. >> How about I didn't ruin the appetite. >> No. >> Oh, I'll figure it out. No. >> Under pressure from several sides, the woman eventually decided to come forward herself, but she still had no intention of admitting any wrongdoing and chose to remain silent rather than acknowledge the crime. >> Hi, nice to meet you. >> I'm going to have So, the way it's going to work is we're going to have a female officer come and she's going to search you to make sure you don't have any weapons or anything. Um, >> okay. >> Do you have anything? What What do you have on right now? >> My cell phone and my keys and this for my glasses. >> Okay. I'm sure you don't want Do you want to talk about what happened or? >> No. >> Okay, that's fine. He'll be >> fine. Yeah, my attorney said like to just talk to him directly. >> Yeah, that's understand. >> Yeah. So, we're just going to wait on her. So, what happened is we're going to bring you to our booking facility. >> Mhm. >> And they we're just going to take a quick picture of you. >> Okay. >> Everything's already practically done. So, we're going to have a road officer come and they're going to transport you to county jail once you know they're ready. >> Okay. Do you know I have a preset bond? The bond will tell you when you get there. I try to find out >> Yeah. It all depends on >> every case is different. So, >> okay. >> It it becomes difficult to find out exactly what happened. You know what I mean? >> Mhm. >> So, >> I'm just going based on the facts that I have. >> Yeah. >> And she doesn't want to prosecute. So, >> so what does that mean that she wants to prosecute? What do you What does that >> um She could have said, you know, she doesn't want to prosecute and we would have just left it at that. >> Um but she was very persistent. She's like, "No, I want her, you know, I want to prosecute." So there you go. >> This is Sergeant Mer and she's going to be searching. Okay. >> Okay. >> We'll just go straight to Bogan, right? >> Okay. >> Straight towards that door. He's going to sit in your hair for now. >> Um the uh So you need a mask, right? >> Yeah. >> We're going to take some clothes off, right? Um, do you want >> In the end, Sandra Fidel was arrested for grand theft after police recovered the stolen Chanel purse. The lesson here is that staying silent or shifting blame does not erase the evidence against you. Once surveillance footage and witness statements establish what happened, avoiding responsibility can only make the situation more difficult. >> Move your foot cuz you stepped on a piece of rock. All right. And there's meth pieces in here. >> Okay. I what you said? >> Still have to check. >> On the 26th of March 2024, officers approached a woman who had just exited Walmart after she was suspected of concealing makeup products in her clothing. As officers approached her, a stolen item was immediately recovered from her. In my >> uh I have my card. I have my Oh, shoot. >> What's her name? >> Angel. >> Angel. And this is the only one you slipped in your pocket by accident. >> Yeah, you can. Yeah, absolutely. But yeah, I just spent $60. Um, >> no, I I understand that. >> I have my car. I have my wallet. Mine. Okay, I'll just write your name down. >> A N G E L. >> You got a pen? I don't have a pen. Angel, what's your last name? >> Cupling. T U P. >> For once, I don't have my pen on me. Um, whenever I met up with Amanda, which is my girlfriend, um, I put like four things back. It's on It's where like the maternity center is. >> Okay. Just on camera. I thought I saw you put it in your pocket. This is the only thing. >> But listen, she um whenever she came around, she's supposed to give me actually 150. She only gave me 75. So, whenever she gave me 75, I had to put the four things back because I wanted to get, you know what I'm saying? >> Officers ran her information and discovered that her driver's license had expired and was no longer valid. In addition, officers found several suspicious items on her during the search. >> All right, we can go to the office. I was just running her real quick. >> If you got her info, >> you have anything else of theirs? >> No, I have nothing else. >> Okay, can I search you real quick? Well, something just fell on the ground. >> I'm in the program, actually. >> You're in the what program? >> I just went to um >> Okay, I move your foot cuz you stepped on a piece of rock. All right. And there's meth pieces in here. >> I don't even do I don't even do that. >> It's in your pocket and you're trying to distance yourself from me. Okay. I don't like lying. All right. I can >> Yeah, I should wash my hands. >> I don't have anything on me. >> Okay. >> Based on what had fallen out, the officers suspected she was involved with illegal drugs, but she denied it and even appeared to misdirect the officers with her statements. >> You know what I mean? indicative of narcotics keeping, >> right? It's all up in your It's in your pocket. >> Well, then that Okay. Well, then that girl Okay, that's not mine. I don't do uh methamphetamine. I used to do fentanyl a long time ago. I've never been arrested for that. Oh, no. I No. Um, I have a one charge that got um that got dropped and that was for like uh for like misusing an ID. >> Is this yours? >> That's mine. That's mine. Hang on. >> I'm just going to have a female officer thoroughly check you. All right. Cuz I'm not going to go digging up in your draw and all that. Let's walk over here. >> The items that fell out were crystals suspected to be methamphetamine. >> Pretty sure that bottle is ours. Remember that pink thing? thing I said >> she took it all out of it. >> Well, the whole time she kept she kept digging in her pockets. I was like, "What is she doing?" >> And so, if you can see their little crystals she that fell out of the bag. So, she says, "I don't do math. That dude fell." >> I'm like, I bet there I'm willing to bet there's drugs in the car that she was going to go ride in. What am I doing? >> There's another little person right there. >> I mean, she it was just falling out. I'm going to pull out and I'm going to come up under. Okay. >> Okay. >> What you said? >> Still have to check, right? >> Okay. I'm going to pull out. Can you fix it when you're done? >> I will. So, I'm going to grab this and I'm going to try to adjust. Thank you. Thank you. I just want my boobs like >> Yep. Okay. Now, you don't have anything anywhere else, right? >> Nothing. >> Okay. Because >> if he takes you to jail and we find anything anywhere else. >> Okay. I have nothing else. >> Nothing. >> Okay, just just hop back in there. Okay, >> that's that's my word. >> All right. >> In the end, Angel was arrested and charged with shoplifting and possession of methamphetamine. Denying wrongdoing does not erase the evidence found during a search. When the evidence tells a different story, misleading officers can only make the situation worse.
