I change the tag and pay 50 cents for it. >> In front of a whole bunch of people or just >> there'll be other people. Yeah. like >> I'm not going to lose my job. And >> on the 12th of April 2025, police received a call from a retail store reporting a theft. The suspect, Merrick Lennon, a teacher, had attempted to purchase a $45 cup for just 50. Here's what unfolded when the officers arrived on the scene. >> Hi, man. How are you? >> Hello. What's going on, brother? Good. >> We have stopped her. >> Stop her. >> No, hold on. Your daughter is like No, not this one. Not this one. like 45. >> What's an aala? >> It's a cup. >> Like one of those fancy cups. >> Yeah, >> like one of those like Stanley's. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> But you have like multiple incident with us. It's not that's not like the first did it. I have video for all the incident and stuff. >> No, you were wrong. You can do this one. You have to do the other complaints for the other stuff. >> Yeah. >> How did she try to take it? She go through self check out and switch it. I change the tag and pay 50 cents for it. >> 50 cents? >> Yeah. >> Where's the tag switch? >> Uh it was on the cup. Where's the Where's the cup? Do you want to put it back? >> Yeah, but we have uh >> It's somewhere ripped up though. >> But she said she was giving them so I don't know. Cups a person needs a ticket switch. 50 cents for a $44.9 cup. >> This wasn't the first time the woman did something like this. This time she tried a more elaborate price tag switch. The police immediately told her why she failed. I'm >> going to teach you a little secret. You ever try to break into Fort Knox? You know how there's like five bajillion cameras everywhere around Fort Knox? Target's the same way. They have cameras in every single aisle. This is the worst place where I sell something from. Plus, they have all these people working and you're a teacher or you are a teacher or you were something with the board of ed here. Stand up. >> Number one, if you understand why we stopped you today, you came into the store merchandise without paying. Second one, you are being come back to 4 years. >> You cannot come back for >> your trespass. You are banned from returning to this property. If you come back, they will sign a claim against you for criminal trespass. Receipt. ID. >> Receipt. You got the receipt. I got the receipt. I got >> I got one receipt and another one. >> Just one receipt. Just pay for the rest of the stuff normally. >> Yeah. >> You can go in my office. Would you like us to put your stuff in your car for you? >> You can come with us. >> We're walking to your car. >> You pay for this, right? >> Yeah. Would you like us to put that in your car for you? Cuz you can't come back here. Yeah. Shortly after, the woman was taken to the police station where she began talking more, asking for forgiveness, and showing some remorse. >> You're going to tell me something that I don't know. And I'm sorry. I don't mean you're 100 You're 100% correct. I don't You could look at I don't have any prior anything. That's the only thing. And I don't know why they spend money on all I do is shop. >> We don't take it personal. >> No, I'm I No, no. I I get it. Listen, I see this all the time. I can't believe that this is something I have situation put myself in. It's my >> It's the last time, right? >> Mhm. >> It's the last time. >> Do you have anything on you? >> Nothing money. >> No. >> You want to told you already? >> No, I No, I'm not. No, I'm saying do like does this people have to know about this? Like I'm like >> real quick, let me I have to ask you some questions. >> Okay. >> Please tell me this is a joke. Did you get arrested? >> What? Please tell me this is a joke. Did you get arrested? >> Okay. Do you know what happens with something like this? >> Uh we fingerprint you, take a picture, then I guess it just depends on the judge if they let you go or if they take you to B County jail for the night. Although the woman appeared completely remorseful, in reality, she was not reflecting on the wrongfulness of her actions, she was concerned about her lost reputation, as her next statements clearly showed. >> I'm embarrassed enough that it did. >> I just don't want my kids to >> text my husband back. >> What do you want to tell >> that? >> I'll we'll do it for a recorded line instead. Is that okay? I just don't want him to worry. >> I can only do it on a recorded line cuz you're under arrest right now. You're not free. >> No, I are you. You okay with that? I call him right now. >> And just tell him. >> You can tell them whatever you want. You can tell them you're here. What happened? I'll give you a ride back to Target after this. I'll talk to my boss about it. >> I swear I know that you might do this. I'm not a thief. Yes, I did take water bottles, but I am not a flight risk. I know. You know, I'm paraly I think you're more paranoid than anything cuz I'm I don't >> I just don't want my honestly I don't want my kids to know. >> I just to be clear. Um you walked in with that. Did you walk in with this little this little code? This little barcode thing. >> No, I don't think so. >> Cuz you were scanning something else, but you were the mug the big mug in your shopping cart. The >> No, I think they put that on my They put that sticker on in the Target. the sticker on there. She brought it back in. I did it with a sticker on. >> What item were you scanning? >> It was revealed that the woman had swapped the $45 cups price tag for a cheaper one. The police clarified where she had obtained that tag. >> You were scanning something that was like 50 cents, >> right? >> What was that? >> Oh, it was a cup. >> A cup? Like a plastic cup? Like a cheap plastic cup? >> Yeah. >> Okay. 50 cent plastic cup. How is it only 50 cents? That's what I'm trying to figure out. >> I don't know. >> And then you took the uh big metal mug, right? I don't I don't care. It's I don't take it personal. I just have to make sure. >> Yeah, >> it's accurate. That's all. I'm not Mr. Target, you know. >> We're not But that wasn't on my They put the sticker there. So, I don't know. >> All right. Well, >> it's now now it's irrelevant. I just want to ask you. >> So, I think it was I think they said the cup was 40 $44. Maybe he tried to accuse me of selling cups that I do. >> Let's just stick with what happened now. >> I I just wanted to tell my husband to to tell me a take me back to Target. >> Hello, >> Eric. >> Yeah. >> Hi. Listen, I'm at the police station. They're just um fingerprinting me and stuff like that. I'll explain to you the whole story. >> Sir, we can't give you a time right now. We have a lot of paperwork to do. It was evident that she was even embarrassed to speak about her actions in front of her own family and she grew anxious about her upcoming court appearance due to concerns over her reputation. >> In front of a whole bunch of people or just >> it'll be other people. Yeah. Like >> I'm not going to lose my job and >> we're not going to sell your job. >> Okay. >> We're not selling your job. >> Is this to come with somebody to talk or no? Just >> really >> I don't really know how the system works. That's why I'm asking. I'm sorry. I mean, if you feel more comfortable with your husband or someone, you can bring them. >> No, I feel more comfortable with like somebody who knows >> like a lawyer. >> Yeah. Public defender. Sure. >> Yeah. I'll talk to him in a minute. >> And when I go to court, that's when they decide if I have to go to jail. >> Yeah. >> I I doubt it. So, you never been in jail before. You never I'm sure your your rap sheet isn't that long. Isn't really It's nothing really. >> I was like, everyone does. tickets. >> Oh, >> like >> speeding tickets, stuff like that. >> Oh, I don't that has to be from a very very very long time ago. >> It's gonna be fine. I don't want to, you know. >> Okay. No, I get it. >> I'm not a judge, but it's going to be like fines and it's going to be one of those slip on the wrist. I hope this is the last time. In the end, the woman was charged with shoplifting, pretending to be remorseful while focusing only on reputation rather than the wrongdoing itself, can lead to serious consequences. Attempts to manipulate or deceive the system, even in small ways, are rarely worth the risk. Worse, the woman begged for a chance only after refusing it. >> She's a liar. She a liar. She a liar. >> Give me a chance. Give me a chance. Be a be an officer. >> On the 1st of October 2024, police were dispatched to a gas station following reports of a disturbance with the suspect identified as an angry woman upset over a fuel transaction. Upon arrival, the chaos had not yet subsided. >> You you you TYPE AWAY PEOPLE. YOU LIKE TO BE SEEN. YOU COULDN'T EVEN GIVE ME MY GAS SO I CAN GO. You want to be seen. You one of those white people. You want to SAY THAT SOMEBODY DOING SOMETHING TO YOU, BUT I'M NOT IN NO NO DIRECTION OF HER. >> RELAX. >> I'm not in no no direction of her. >> Listen. Listen. Relax. Okay. Come on. >> Because I wanted to give my gas and this she didn't want to give me my gas. >> Listen to me. >> And I'm like, why you don't want to give my gas? >> Hold on. Listen to me. Go outside and talk to me. >> Yeah, we can go outside. >> Hey, trespass. police. Just tell her she's trespass. >> Ma'am, >> I'M GOING BE TRESPASSED. I WILL SLAP YOU IN REAL LIFE. >> MA'AM, GO OUTSIDE. You've been trespassed. >> I WILL SLAP YOU IN REAL LIFE. >> LISTEN, >> I WILL SLAP YOU. >> LISTEN, YOU'RE GOING TO GO TO JAIL NOW. IF YOU GO OUTSIDE, >> I CAN GO OUTSIDE. >> THEN GO. >> IT DON'T MATTER. I CAN GO OUTSIDE. I'M GOING OUTSIDE. Although she said she could step outside, her movements constantly indicated an intent to advance, forcing police to take action, which then triggered even greater chaos from the woman. >> Go outside. You're going to go. >> She's a liar. She a liar. She a liar. A liar. >> Stop. >> I'm not going to jail. >> Get off me. >> Send me another good. >> She a liar. She a liar. >> Relax. Relax. Listen. Listen. Listen. No. No. Listen to me. You're going to jail now. You were told to leave. >> Okay. Let me leave. Let me leave. My phone. >> Relax. Nope. Nope. >> My pants. My phone is in my pants. >> Okay. >> Okay. You allow me to You allow me and I need to touch this lady. >> You were told to leave and you wanted >> Can I leave? Can I leave? Can I leave? Can I leave? >> Don't tense out. All right. Or you're going to get tased. >> Can I leave? >> Don't tense up or you're going to get tased. >> Why you Why you going to arrest me? Can I leave? >> Listen. No, you're not. >> Why? Why? >> I told you. Why? Why? >> Relax. >> Why? Wait, wait, wait, wait. Relax. >> I don't need to wear no. Look, we're joking. But I just had I had I >> just had a baby. >> Okay. All right. Relax. >> But I don't need to go to jail. >> For real. I don't need to go to jail. I need I just left. I just had a little baby. >> Relax. Relax. >> Her attitude shifted suddenly and unpredictably, and she claimed to be a new mother. Immediately afterward, she began playing the victim, trying to make herself appear pitiful. >> Spread your feet apart. Why you doing me right now? >> Spread your feet apart. Spread your feet apart. >> But my feet are spread apart. My feet. >> Kick your leg out to the right and don't move. >> What you mean to my right? >> Your right leg to the right and don't move. >> What you mean? What you mean? What you mean? >> I don't know what you mean. I don't know what you mean. I don't know what you mean. I'm doing with you. >> Yes, ma'am. I just need one other unit. >> Don't hurt me. Don't hurt me. I don't know what you mean. I don't know what you mean. I don't know what you mean. I don't know what you mean. I don't know what you mean. You going this late? >> Nope. Just don't move. >> Just don't move. Yep. Don't move on. I know I won't move. >> You don't need to do me. >> All right, just relax. Just relax. Relax. Just relax. >> I never I never been I never been listening to ask her why she want to ask me my gas. >> Why I'm getting arrested? Why I'mma get arrested? Cuz she want to ask me my gas. Why am I getting arrested? Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Why? Why you grabbing me like Why you dragging me like that? >> Because you're not walking. >> Cuz I'm walking. I'm walking. I'm walking. I'm walking. Okay. Walking. Well, be nice to me. Be nice to me. Be be nice, >> bro. I'm not I'm not I'm not I'm never I'm never going to uh uh uh >> what's that word? >> Prove this. >> What's that word? >> The woman even struggled to defend her own actions. As if she knew what she was doing, yet continued to act innocent. This made the police's next steps considerably more difficult. >> Sir, sir, can I can I just sit down? Can I sit down? Can I sit down? Can I sit down? Can I sit down? >> Can I sit down? Can I sit down? >> How do I take this off? Sir, can I sit down? >> There you go. >> Fur sir. F. Sir, I don't need to go to jail. I asked that lady why she wasn't giving me no gas. That's the only thing that I asked that lady. I didn't ask her nothing. I'm literally GOING TO JAIL FOR ASKING her why I didn't go to get no jail. No gas. Bro, sir, please don't take me to jail. I literally just had a baby. >> Please, please, please, sir. >> Sir, sir, please. Can we talk about this? Can we talk about this? is we're done talking. >> Look, look. Sir, sir, sir, sir, sir, sir, sir, sir, sorry, s sorry. Look, look, look. Talk to me before you >> We're having a seat. >> So, so >> once inside the patrol car, it seemed she had finally paused. Yet, her actions showed no hint of shame. She began pleading as if begging could alter the outcome. >> Give me a chance. Y'all wouldn't even give me a chance. >> Nope. Give me a chance. Give me a chance. Be a Be an officer right now. Be me a chance. Be a chance. BE A CHANCE. BE OFFICER. OFFICER. I WAS OFFICER. I'LL TALK TO YOU. I'LL TALK TO YOU. >> I DIDN'T You didn't give ME A CHANCE. >> CLOSE THAT DOOR. >> YOU You just closed the door on me. >> Thanks, brother. >> Of course. >> Anything else for me? >> I'm good. Thank you, buddy. Yes, sir. >> Have a good one. >> You just called the door on me. You didn't even give me a chance. I I literally was trying to beat >> officer put my list for transport. >> Officer, please. I will apologize if you want me to if you want me TO GO IN THERE AND SAY I'M SORRY. I would never come in here. I would never come in here ever. >> I want that. I will never come in there ever. I will be forever trespass. Promise. I did not come in there for that at all. That's not what I came in there for, officer. I did not. I'm asking you to please give me a chance. I haven't been in trouble. YOU CAN LOOK HOW LONG I HAVEN'T BEEN IN TROUBLE FOR. BRO, GIVE ME A CHANCE. PLEASE. >> All right. Give me a second. >> You can see how long I haven't been in trouble for. You can look at my You can look at my record and see it. In fact, the police had already given her a chance inside the store, but now this was the consequence of refusing it. Meanwhile, officers approached a witness whose testimony explained why she had been denied fuel. >> Um, what did you say? >> I see I was out here actually eating a piece of pizza, but I was inside first and she came out here and couldn't get the pump. She couldn't lift the nozzle. Then she went in there and I was out here and then my kids like I want a piece of pizza too, Dad. So I went back inside and she was just going, "Holy hell in there." >> And what what did you see in there that she was doing to him? Just doing what I saw. Basically yelling at him and stuff. >> Yeah. >> All right. Um you have your ID on you real quick. >> Uh yeah. >> I'm just going to put you in the record. It's not doesn't mean anything. Just you you kind of saw it. So >> can I go? >> Are you calmed down yet? >> Yes, I'm calm. All right, when I get back from you, >> I been calm. I already been ready to go home. My son been waiting on me all this time. I was about to pick my son up from school. This up, bro. Only reason why I was in a rush because I was trying to pick my son up from school and this to make it seem like I'm getting I'm getting attitude with her and I'm just trying to hurry up pick my son up for school. That's it. What the bro? Shortly after, the store employee provided additional testimony detailing the woman's behavior. >> All right. Um, and so she just came in here being additionally >> she she came in and when she initially came in, she was looking for a gas can, whatever, and she was I think she was on the phone yelling at somebody. And then she paid for $10 in gas. She went out to the pump. She came back in, yelled at us to set the pump. It was still on there. Okay. >> She went back out, then came back in again and started just screaming and carrying on. At that point, once you start raising your voice and yelling all of us and telling you're going to slap us and all that nonsense, >> I cancelceled her gas and I handed her her receipt and told her to get out. >> Okay. >> And then it escalated from there. There was a customer standing here >> and she said she was going to slap the out of you. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Um I'm just going to put you down as a second witness. >> Okay. >> Uh what is it? Alicia. >> Okay. >> She trespass. If she comes back in here again, she'll go to jail. Um, so, uh, she's going to jail for, uh, trespass after warning and, um, she's going to go to jail for, uh, disorderly conduct. Okay. >> The woman was charged with trespassing after warning and disorderly conduct. ignoring rules and trying to manipulate situations can quickly escalate conflicts. Even when given a chance to comply, her refusal led directly to legal consequences, highlighting the importance of respecting boundaries and authority to avoid unnecessary trouble. Even worse, the next individuals also could not handle the pressure of their own actions. >> So threshold 300. >> All right. On May 24th, 2025, police received a report from Dollar General about a woman committing theft at the store. Upon arrival, she attempted to flee on an electric scooter, but she was quickly apprehended and brought back. Here's what happened during the incident. >> You guys have the whole bag and everything. Okay, I got >> just Why don't you just leave that and you just go on in and have a seat with him? I'll grab this. >> And then do you have an ID, ma'am? I don't know. >> Can you pull out what you have in your >> You have anything in your pocket? Let me come search you. So, do you have anything else in your pocket? >> Yeah. But if you can grab the chickeners, >> it can be seen that the woman had hidden all the items, including snacks, in her bag. The scooter with the basket was merely a means to move faster. However, everything was so obvious that the bag was soon confirmed not to belong to her. The bags here also >> the bag that it was in. >> Sure. validation that she understand. >> There's a whole other bag. There's two bags. They're not from here. >> Two matching bags. >> She comes in with the link. I can't verify the bag. That's so And then the next page is I'm just going to try to pull all this stuff out and then shove it right back into it. I guess I can still >> The amount of stolen goods was so large that the police spent a significant amount of time recovering them. Returning to the suspect, she appeared deeply remorseful and her accomplice confessed the purpose behind their actions. >> Homeless, bro. Yeah. Trying to get some stuff like take it to like the fun stuff or either like video game party get somewhere to stay. Just trying to gather items and then p it off. >> Yeah, cuz we homeless, man. >> Okay. Have you guys been caught doing this before? >> Yes. >> At Walmart and other locations? >> Yes. >> When was the last time you guys have done this? >> Two two years ago. >> Two years ago. I don't remember. >> Yeah. >> Do you have a nationwide ban on Walmart? >> Um I was told I could come here cuz they had a personally banned us. I had talked to security and they said that their Walmarts was separate than the other Walmarts. >> Okay. All right. I'll have to double check on that. But her said that you have a nationwide ban on Walmart. Okay. Who both of us? It was just her. You have one that has to be served which just got served too >> cuz I if I known that I wouldn't have even came here but I was told >> this Walmart was different and they had a band. He I can't I don't know the guy's name. He's real tall. He works here and >> it turned out this was not their first time. Shortly afterward the total value of the items they had taken was determined. I just real quick You don't have to stand. Just get one. >> Previous sub total is 585. So threshold is 300. All right. So that's what we're finding out right now. Right now um from our supervisor on leather what we're going to do. All right. Is there any way back to I mean I can I can see where you're coming from. >> It should be noted that they had even been trespassed from the store. Yet they still attempted to enter and commit the illegal act. At this point it was puzzling to see the woman unable to cope with the pressure of her own actions. >> So right now what we're finding out is that one lady issue notices to appear where basically you just go to the police department and um get photographs, fingerprints there and release you with the court date or is it something that you'd have to go to to jail and then you would stay until you saw a judge? I'd say fortunate for you guys if you do go to jail Saturday. >> I can't go. >> So there's there's court there's holiday court tomorrow because of the holiday and Monday. So at best you'd sit there or worse sit there more morning. So if you're not there you want to just uh you want just put your hands behind back. >> No I'm going to get it for you. Okay. Just put your hands behind back. Okay. Hey man, don't give up, baby. Just I mean, we got, okay? We don't just don't do this no more. Don't give up on it, man. I tell you, don't give up on what, okay? They won't give no phone calls once you get there. >> I can't call her. I'm just going to text her real quick. >> No, once you get there, you'll get phone calls on their their you don't have to. You're allowed, but let this be the bottom, right? You got to hit the bottom before you go back up, right? So, let this be the bottom and then everything. So, you got to make better decisions, right? And I get I say that from I >> it's easier said than done. I get that. But we just encourage you to tell us now. Otherwise, you >> if there was anything illegal or something like that and you were to take it down to jail, that's additional. The woman and her accomplice were charged with theft. And the woman additionally faced a probation violation for her prior offenses. Repeatedly ignoring legal boundaries, even under the guise of necessity, only leads to more serious consequences and legal trouble. Worse, she kept trying to portray herself as innocent. >> Stop. >> Stop resisting. >> Why are you put your hands behind your back? >> You never said you're under arrest. >> Okay, doesn't have to do. It's implied. >> Third of all, no, it wasn't implied. On May 31st, 2024, police received a call from Dollar General reporting an ongoing theft. The suspects, a man and a woman, initially fled, but officers quickly located them. Here's what happened when police approached them. >> Hey, did you guys just come to a dollar store? >> Okay. Well, I saw pictures of you guys coming from the dollar store. >> Did you guys take stuff without paying for it? >> I gave her head nod. She gave me a head back. I mean, a headnog back. >> Okay. Okay. Well, now they're calling on us saying you guys stuff from the dollar store. >> Really? >> Yeah. >> Well, I can I >> Let's go talk over here. So, we're out on the street. Okay. >> What did you guys What did you guys think? >> This bag of the lady I looked at the lady went like this and she went like that and I left and we didn't run or anything. >> Okay. Did you guys open that stuff? >> Did you open it? >> All right. >> I'm just hungry. I'm trying to go to that spot and get shoes. Okay. Well, >> you want this back? >> There was no trace of shame even when the theft was admitted. They even explained their reason for stealing as if the items naturally belong to them. >> It's over. >> I don't have any money on me. That's why we both job. >> Okay. I I understand you guys are coming on hard times. All right. I just I'm going to get you guys information and we'll go from there. Okay. >> My info. >> Yeah. >> You guys have warrants? >> No. >> You got warrants? >> I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. >> Is there an ear? He doesn't have his back if that's the issue. >> You got warrants, buddy? >> Huh? >> You got warrants? >> Yeah, probably. Maybe. I don't know. >> Okay. You know what I got to do now, right? All right. Just set that stuff down. I'll put you in handcuffs. I'll run. Ma'am, you're not free to go. >> Why? >> I said so. >> 22. >> Ma'am, >> don't go. Where am I going? >> I want to be out with these nines at Brown and Krauss >> more so >> 85. >> 85. What? >> What about you? >> Huh? >> Oh, what's her What's the issue? She Do you want to go back? >> We're probably going to have to go back. Okay. >> Do me a favor. Set that stuff down. I'm going to run you guys' information. I got to put you in handcuffs, man. You said you have warrants, right? >> Don't reach in your pockets. >> Show me, dude. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Just don't reach in your pockets, though. Turn around for me. All right, let's go have a seat. >> Even when handcuffed, the man remained fully cooperative while the woman grew increasingly unmanageable. Her behavior becoming rather bizarre at this point. >> Any math or anything like that? You don't have to show me. >> Well, I'm emptying my bra before you touch me. >> I'm not going to touch you. >> Okay. >> I just asked you. >> No, I don't have any words. >> Okay. Pull your shirt back down. >> Can I get my chips back, please? I'm trying to go to my house which is on Herbert. >> On Herbert? >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, you guys went to the Dollar General store. >> I just grabbed I swear to God that the tall lady at the register looked She went like that. >> Okay. Do me a favor. Turn around. Put your hands behind your back. >> Why? >> Because I said so. >> Listen. >> Don't push me. What is wrong with you? >> Stop. >> Stop resisting. Turn up. >> Put your hands behind your back. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. >> Stop. >> Stop. Stop. >> Stop. Pull away. Put >> your arm back behind your back. >> Stop. Stop trying to pick >> for what? >> Knock it off. >> What is wrong with you? >> I sit right there. What is wrong with you? What is wrong? >> 22. Can I have another cruiser? I need to put this female in a different cruiser. >> Her whip. >> I've already got a male in there. >> The situation escalated due to the woman's unexpected resistance. And surprisingly, she continued to believe she was innocent afterward. >> Simple case. >> And now you made it so much harder. >> What is it? >> Now you're going to jail. >> Why? >> Well, you pinched the [ __ ] out of me. You stole from Dollar General. Can I please Can you please let me go? My birthday is June 5th. >> I don't give a [ __ ] about your birthday. Knock it off. >> What am I doing? I really I was just trying to go. >> Stay right there. Don't move. >> What? >> Stand up. >> Put your feet under you and stand up. >> Please. >> One, two, three. Can you stand up, please? >> Put your feet in the cruiser. Sit down. >> Is this reference? Uh, >> yeah. >> She pinched the [ __ ] out of me. >> What? >> Pinched the [ __ ] out of me. >> Blood. >> Pinched you? >> Yeah. >> All right. My name is Sergeant Vassic. Okay. What's your name? Right after everything unfolded, the woman was placed into the patrol car. But from that moment on, she began causing trouble in a different way, confronting the officers as if she knew exactly how their procedures worked. >> Hey, >> why did you do I'm trying to What are you >> Okay. Well, you don't need to do all that moving around. So, I'm just going to talk to you through the the window. Okay. >> What's your name, sweetie? >> Anna. >> Anna. Anna, what's your last name? >> I don't What? It's Dery. >> Dery? >> Yeah. >> Okay, Dery. Anytime that our officers aren't able to to solely just put somebody in handcuffs, i.e. there's a struggle or use of >> I was sitting on the curb. >> Okay, hold on. First of all, I'm here. Second of all, you never said you're under arrest. >> Okay, doesn't have to. It's implied. >> Third of all, no, it wasn't implied. >> It's implied. When they tell you to turn around, put your hands behind your back. It's implied that you're under arrest. >> No. Okay. >> You You Whoever grabbed me by on the shoulder and can I explain to you why I'm here or at least finish trying to explain to you why I'm here? >> I I mean, you can try. >> Okay. I'm trying to, but I'm trying to listen. Can I scoot up and talk to you like a person? >> Sure you can. >> Then why did you slam the door in my hand? >> Well, because you've been kicking and spitting at people and inside this cruiser, so I didn't want to get kicked or spit on. >> I don't want to get touched and handcuffed for nothing. >> Okay. Well, you did you shoplift today? >> No, >> you didn't. >> No, I thought it was a courtesy. >> You thought it was a courtesy. I think restaurant or businesses just give out free stuff as a >> courtesy. The woman on the first register said okay. >> Okay. That No. to me. >> You initially told the officer that she nodded at you >> instead of holding. >> All right. So, what I'm going to do is I'm going to read you your Miranda warning before I for start talking to you in the first place because we're having conversations that are started to be admissions and and retractions of guilt. So, you have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can will be used against you in a court of law. Talk to a lawyer and have him or her present with you before any questioning. If you >> constantly interrupting, the woman showed no sign of respect. And when she realized she couldn't change the situation, she began recounting her circumstances in an attempt to gain sympathy. >> Take care of my grandmother who lives on Herbert. And I'm I am hungry. It wasn't a those chips. >> I haven't ate them in a while. I was chilling. I swear to God, I haven't had these in a while. Fritos. If I wasn't chilling, they would be a different kind or something stupid. And I'm sorry that Well, I'm not sorry for something I do for you. I was on the way to my house with myself. So, did you take those items from the store? >> No, except the chips. >> Where'd you get the Where'd you get the chips from? >> I don't know why I'm stressing about it, but that's what I found. >> Okay, Anna, where did you get the chips from? >> The ginger. Yeah, I want to put it. >> Where did you get those items from? >> Um, I don't know. Dollar Tree, Dollar General. >> Okay. The one right down the street on exchange. >> I'm not sure. It was like Okay. >> But you got them from a store? >> Yes. >> Did you pay for them at the store? >> Um, I mean, no, not with money. >> Okay. All right. Did you Did you assume that you paid for them some other way? How did you assume? In what manner did you assume that you paid for them? The >> first register stop. >> I don't know. I know. And I didn't want anything to do. I don't know. I don't know. >> Okay. >> So, you you you said that you you paid for them in a in a fashion other than money. >> Store credit. >> Store credit. Do you have credit? in an open line of credit with the store. >> This action is where I be. >> It was clear that she changed her story from her initial statement. And even when confronted about her earlier resistance, she continued to lie. >> When the officer told you to turn around and put your hands behind your back, >> what did you do? >> I He didn't say that. >> What did he say? >> He didn't say anything. >> He didn't say anything? No. >> Okay. So then what happened? >> I don't know. He grabbed me and I felt threatened. But uh I was I was sitting on the curb. >> You were sitting at the curb at the time. >> When I stood up, I didn't move. I didn't move. He didn't say he did not say that. >> Okay. So, let's walk back a little bit. So, when he tried grabbing your arms >> from putting you into handcuffs, >> there's a fight or flight response. I didn't mean to. What did I do? I don't I didn't mean to. >> Okay. >> Or threaten. >> Okay. Um, did the officer have to use any force to place you in handcuffs? >> Um, not really. Not to was I was >> not really. So, well, putting you in handcuffs would be restraining you. You understand? So, >> scared me a little bit. >> Okay. So, did he have to >> So, did he have to like put you in an arm lock, an arm bar? Did he kick you? Did he punch you? Did he Did he tase you? Did any Did he use any force? >> I'm double jointed. So, like force that was unnecessary. And he didn't tell me to pull my hands back. >> Okay. So, what force did he use that was unnecessary >> other than trying to place you in handcuffs? >> Personally, it was >> the woman was charged with theft and probation violation while the man was charged with theft. Small dishonest choices, even when driven by hardship, can quickly escalate into legal consequences. Owning up early and cooperating fully can make all the difference. More surprisingly, the man believed he was smart enough to outsmart the police. >> Whatever it is, put it on the hood. >> I paid for these. I paid for it. Put on the hood. >> On January 2nd, 2024, police were dispatched to the scene after receiving a report of a theft where the suspect was identified as a man who attempted to flee on a bicycle after stealing lottery tickets from a gas station. This was what happened when officers approached the suspect. >> How you do, sir? Do you have any uh weapons or anything on you? Where you coming from tonight? Okay. Lay lay the bike down right there. Come over in my car right quick. Whatever you took it uh whatever you took from the store, put it on my on my hood of my car. This all this all I do for this You want me? >> It seemed that the man appeared cooperative, but in reality, he was only acting superficially. And the officers recognized this and bluntly warned him. >> Stop playing, dude. it. You You going You're on the way downhill from at this point in time. Put whatever you took from the store on top of the hood and we be good. All right. I paid for this. >> Whatever Whatever it is, put it on the hood. >> I paid for these. I paid for it. >> Put on the hood. I paid for it. That's it. I ain't got nothing else on the back. Put it on the hood. >> I don't have nothing else in my pockets. >> Okay, let's let me play your game with you. All right, tell you what. Put the book bag on the hood. All right, so you got the the book bag here. >> Yes. >> Right. Put the glasses on the hood. All right. So, you don't have nothing else in your pockets. My phone. All right. Put that on the hood. Wait a minute. How many pairs of pants you got on? All right. All right. So, let me let me ask him let me ask a more specific question. What's in your other pants pocket? Come on, man. That was why the officers had to make sure he took everything out of his pockets to ensure he wasn't carrying anything dangerous. Shortly after, the officers proceeded with their actions before bringing up the reason for the encounter. All right. So, what's going to happen is if everything you've told me turns out to be true, I'm going to take these right off of you. I'm going to send you on your way. But for the moment, we're just going to sit here and wait. So, let me ask you this question. How many lottery tickets did you buy? I don't even remember. >> All right. So, how much money did you spend? >> How much? >> Over $30. >> Those are $30. So, you saying that you bought these? >> Yes. >> All right. So, what about the large pockets? That's down the front of your pants. What about those? So there's no reason why the business owner says that he was just robbed by blackmail with red pants. He completely denied all the accusations raised against him, but that was entirely a lie. As shortly after, another officer arrived at the store to find evidence through the surveillance cameras. >> Do you know how to work it? I >> never learn it, but it's not really hard. Yeah, agree. It was clear that everything had fully exposed his actions. And at that moment, the value of what he had taken was also determined by the employee. >> You know how much we're at? We're up as far as how much how many he's taken or is less than still less than $500. I'm sure >> less than 500. >> Yeah. >> Okay. I'm about to go meet up with them. >> Will they hold him somewhere? >> Yeah, we got him. So, >> like I said, we just have to positively identify. >> No, no, no. That's why I say I I didn't panic. I didn't rush. What? >> Yep. >> Yeah. So, you going to bring him here? >> We're not going to bring him I don't think we're going to bring him here, but let me go talk to them and see. >> No, I I make sure I want to see what's going on because we have to verify, you know. Did you see the guy? That's the right guy. You see him? >> Yeah. the one who was reaching over and Yeah, I saw him. >> Is he You can zoom one time. So, >> what? I'm sorry. >> You can't bring him, right? >> No, if he's going to go, he's going to go um as far as going to go straight to jail. Let me go talk to them. I'll be right back. >> Okay. >> Returning to the suspect, the officers proceeded to recover the lottery tickets. And it seemed there were still more surprises coming from his backpack. 7 8 9 9 * 3 >> should be like 10 in total or something. >> This is So he did break the $500 limit in there. Oh yeah. >> Oh man. Wait, wait, wait. What's this? >> Looks like a little bit of crystal. >> Yeah. >> You're not getting a citation. You're going to jail. >> I know. >> So, you're in possession of lottery tickets that equated to more than $500. So, it's a felony. And you're being charged with possession of a control substance. Also a felony. >> Control substance. >> I'm suspecting that it's going to be crystal meth. Um, however, we got to do preliminary drug test and we're going to do that. The man was charged with theft by shoplifting involving property exceeding $500 constituting a felony along with possession of a controlled substance methamphetamine, also a felony. Lying and trying to hide the truth only made the situation worse, turning a smaller offense into serious felony charges. Next, let's meet this innocent man. >> Am I going to sit in a jail cell this afternoon? >> Well, I don't know what happened. So, >> no. I need to know that answer and then >> before. Have you done this before, sir? >> I tried. >> I tried. >> On February 27th, 2025, police received a call from Walmart reporting that they had detained a man for theft at the store. Upon arrival, the man showed more concern about his fate than taking responsibility for what he had done. >> To sit in a jail cell this afternoon. >> Well, I don't know what happened. So, >> no, I need to know that answer and then I'll then I'll go ahead. If you can answer that for me, then I will go ahead and we'll go from there. >> Here's what I can tell you. If it is a misdemeanor amount, you will get a notice to appear citation. >> What is a misdemeanor amount? >> Under 300. >> Um, he's going to do misdemeanor. >> Okay. So, can you tell me what happened? >> Uh, lower money, need some stuff. >> Okay. Okay. >> So, what items, what did you do? Did you render ring them? Did you just Okay. With what? >> Okay. What items? Just the two >> the bags. Okay. Where >> was the items? Like food or Okay. >> Okay. >> Okay. Have you ever done this before? Have you done this before, sir? >> I tried. >> You tried? >> Where at? >> Like other Walmarts or >> just loose? Are you working? Uh, not right now. >> So, it became clear this was not the first time the man had attempted to steal, making it hard to believe his explanation for why he committed the act this time. >> I was trying to make myself feel nervous and go back to work. But this all >> What do you do for work? >> Okay. >> All right. Let's see all of this stuff then. >> How long ago was the last time you tried to do this? >> Was it recently? weeks ago. Maybe a >> couple weeks ago. All right. What's a good phone number for you? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> How much is it, too? >> Uh, she's been coming back in. >> So, is this what you pay for or what you stole? >> This is over there. >> He scanned those, right? >> He scanned these. Those are Thank you. >> I'm going to grab a picture of you real quick, sir. Just for our evidence. >> Is Is he in your system? >> No. Did you hear about Heath? You've never You've never tried this at Walmart before. It's been other stores or >> I've tried it at Walmart before. Yeah. >> How was it not successful though? >> You had to. >> Did they catch you there? >> Sure. >> No. >> Taking domestic. >> It seemed like this would be a simple theft and walk away case, but as statements from the witnesses emerged, everything revealed the situation was far more serious than it first appeared. My daughter just said that there's something on the truck staring at the doors that he's the getaway driver in case you guys need to know that. >> Okay. Outside here. Yeah. >> Okay. Um and I asked her what the she said black right outside the GM door. >> Okay. Sounds good. Thank you. >> Yeah. Okay. Uh you're good. If you want to go, you can. >> No, it's a child. So Oh, and it's very upstairs. I might have to go back up there. >> I think he just paid for us. >> Yeah. >> All right, man. So, here is the items that you paid for. Um, Officer Tito is going to issue you a notice to appear. We still explain that and they're completing trespassing for trespass all. Okay. So, if you go to any Walmart or any club, you can and will be arrested for trespassing that >> um that's indefinite. So, um, usually we tell everyone to just give it a year at least, um, and call 800 Walmart, explain your situation. What happened here today? Um, say, "Hey, I made a mistake. I just happened a while ago. Um, I need you need to come back to the store shop." So, you're able to explain it. I know it's an ignorance when you get trespassed, but we obviously have to stop this behavior. >> Well, I understand that, you know, it was a poor decision on my person. And I mean, I get it. Money's tight and everything. And if you're stealing actual food, one thing which is Red Bull soda and I mean that's >> By that moment, his act of theft had been fully confirmed and the police were able to clearly determine what he would be facing. >> All right, Jeffrey, I'm just going to um >> tell you about your >> notice to appear. Okay, so you're getting charged for the misdemeanor retail theft. >> I mean, be honest with us, man. Like that's the thing. So, like now you're looking at just uh and now you're still hiding stuff trying to get away and stuff. >> Well, all you got to do is say, "Hey, I got a bottle on me." >> I got a bottle. >> Well, we'll wait for that. >> All right. So, obviously we're not stupid, right? So, when you start saying, "I've been the I have the flu. Stay away from me." That's that's a red flag. I understand, but it's a red flag cuz you don't want us coming near you, right? So that's why I was like searching that was >> well it was >> so regardless we would have found it. Okay. So um it's still gonna be a misdemeanor amount but obviously that adds to how much the total is. Okay. Um so you're going to have a court date on uh March 31st which is a Monday at Tazel County Courthouse in Beacon. Um make sure you go to your court date cuz if not they're going to issue a warrant for your arrest. Okay. Do you mind signing um that you're receiving your copy? >> Hey, >> just write on the X there. It's just stating that you're receiving your copy. Okay. >> All right. Thank you. And then they're going to give you your trespass warrant. >> All right. I think they said his drive is outside. >> So, he was temporarily released and allowed to leave, but the officers noticed he didn't seem mentally stable, so they had to make sure he was capable of driving himself home safely. >> Did you drive here? >> Yes, >> you did. >> Yes. >> You don't have someone waiting outside for you? >> No, I drove. >> Okay. Are you under the influence of alcohol right now? >> Do you mind providing a breath sample to prove that you're not under the influence? >> I do. >> Okay. Well, if you're going to have an issue providing one, then we can't release you to drive. So, you either got to call for a ride or prove to us that you haven't been drinking in order to drive home. >> All right. >> Okay. >> Do you take any medication, man? >> Uh, blood pressure medication. I can feel it ain't working right now. >> Yeah. Well, I mean, um, do you, uh, anything other than that? Uh, do you have contact or glasses? But you can see the tip of my finger. All right. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Do you think you're good to drive, man? >> Yeah, I'm fine. >> Sure. Cuz I don't I don't I don't agree with that. So, how much have you had to drink? >> Two months before I left the house. >> Okay. When did you leave the house? >> Hourgo. >> An hour ago. Okay. Okay. All right. Um, let's go outside and we'll go from there. Just like that. Just like this. This about one about two about three. So on this >> Okay. Um, I'll just retell you dead then it's right here. March 31st at 9:00 a.m. County Courthouse MP. Make sure you go. Like I said, they'll issue a warrant if you don't attend. Do you have any questions for me? >> You got your trespass paperwork correct? No. All right, I'll go grab it for you real quick. Okay. >> The man was charged with misdemeanor retail theft for intentionally manipulating the selfch checkout system to underpay for merchandise, clearly demonstrating fraudulent intent. Repeated wrongdoing doesn't just increase the risk of getting caught. It slowly destroys any credibility a person has, making every excuse sound less believable and every consequence more justified. These two women still had deeper secrets behind their theft. >> Are you guys from? >> Yeah. >> Let's steal the red sweater or did you did you come in and you were like maybe I could kind of look like a target employee kind of thing? >> No. >> On December 9th, 2025, police were dispatched to Target after their loss prevention team detained two women for shoplifting. Upon arrival, both were immediately asked to lay out all the evidence in a deeply embarrassing manner. >> Put them on the on the desk for this. >> Are you guys from Loses? >> Yes. >> You guys are okay. What's you guys' first name? >> Kayla. What's your first name? >> You have an ID. >> Huh? >> Have an ID? >> Uh, it's in the car. >> It's in the car. >> I hope you do. You have any idea? >> Um, no I don't. >> What's your name? >> Mystery. >> Say it again. >> Mystery. >> Mystery. >> Yeah. >> How do you spell that? >> M I S T. >> M I S. >> Yes. T R I. >> T R I. >> Yes. >> And then your last name. >> Lopez. >> Lopez. freezers. I think right there. >> Right after recovering a table full of stolen items, the store employees began questioning the reasons behind the women's actions. >> Um, is this for personal use? Are you guys doing this to >> personal? >> Was it just for Christmas or No, mine is personally. I just I recently lost like all my stuff in a car accident and so it's like really expensive to like replace makeup [ __ ] So >> Sure. Yeah, I totally understand. Yeah, makeup is not cheap. >> Embarrassing, but no, it really is. >> I I Hey, this is a step in the right direction. I should you guys a lot. I really do. Um, >> okay. Have you guys ever been doctor shoplifting before? >> No, it's not typical. >> I knew I still felt something. No, I appreciate you. Thank you so much. Thank you. Thank you. >> Okay, that's everything. >> So, this is everything that was on you. There's nothing else. Clearly up to that point, both appeared cooperative. However, the investigation showed that only the woman in the red sweater attempted to take items and pass them to her friend, raising serious suspicion that there was more behind the situation. >> So, this is everything that was on you. Okay. There's nothing else for sure. Okay. And then mystery goodness. What's the deal with the red sweater? Did you Did you come in and you were like maybe I could kind of look like a Target employee kind of thing? >> No. >> No. Okay. Just coincidence. just like I only honestly didn't even plan on taking anything, but then when I >> figured I could hide one or two, I was like, "Well, I need >> more stuff and I'm not going to like want to do this all the time." >> Of course. Yeah. It's It's not a situation anybody's proud of. So, again, I I appreciate you guys. It's It's not the funnest thing in the world. >> Um, but I'll just get down to the the basic stuff that I need from you guys. Um, the first portion of it is what I need from you. If you do me a favor, >> it's just you don't have to necessarily put down everything that I'm putting in clothing. All I just need from you here is just it orange. I'll have you do the same in the second one. And just to let you guys know, obviously this situation comes with the trespass. Um first offense, I'm just going to give you guys a year, okay? It's not going to be indefinite. You guys can come back after a year, but do me a favor. Let's not do this again. Okay? >> And that was what the store based its decision on, judging from the women's actions. Yet, it seemed the woman in the red sweater intended to take the blame for it. It's >> not something that she typically like would have even done or I typically would have done, but I couldn't get everything I needed. So, I had asked her if she would do me a favor and like she wasn't really comfortable and I feel really bad. But honestly, this is not like in her character. Like those were all items like for me. >> Okay, I'll I'll make sure to narcot. >> Yeah. No, I understand. and she's capable making her own choices. But I just don't >> just got to be under circumstances. >> Just do the same. >> What's today's date? >> Today's the 9th. >> Just have a couple of things from this time real quick and then whatever. I'm sorry. >> Um so all you're putting, you don't necessarily have to put everything that you put inside of like concealment. All I need you to do there is just in your words what happened. Okay. Um over the situation, it can just be a couple of sentences. It doesn't have to be anything crazy. It's whatever you want to put on there because that will be a document that um does go to court. >> You write down your phone. >> Sure. >> And then can I get a total amount for each receipt? That's what I'm going to go grab right >> and then I'll um I'll send you a link for the >> At this moment, police quickly uncovered some information about one of the women, revealing that her record was far from clean, as she had previously claimed. >> Uh she has a warrant, so she's going to jail. >> Chocolate. I think they looked that up yesterday when I went to court. >> Yeah. >> If it's telephonic court, they're not going to look up whether or not you have a warrant sometimes >> because it's tele if they don't have access or they're not specifically looking for it. They won't they won't let you know. >> They searching in but like I said if they're not specifically looking at whether or not you have a warrant. >> No, that's what they told her and they said we're looking to see if you >> What was this? >> Um right here at the district. the well district court doesn't have access to NCIC. >> What's that? >> The National Crime Information Center. >> And then I called my pre-trial services yesterday and said >> they don't have access to NC. Okay. >> You have to be a law enforcement officer in order to have them. Do you know like um if it's um like a mystery? >> All right. And for mystery and for >> So mystery Lopez, your total amount shoplifting today was $39.95. >> How was the other one? >> How can I go? >> Uh the other one is 44. >> Uh the 4107. >> Yeah. So, how can I go about paying you guys like what I owe? >> Um, so it's it's going to be entirely up to corporate. My job is just to get you guys to come back here and to cooperate. When you guys do cooperate, I like to cooperate. >> Your total amount is 4107. >> And it'll be up to them. So, you guys haven't made a big stink. You guys have been super cooperative with them. >> And it seemed neither woman could take responsibility for the other as both were certain to face consequences at that moment. >> Uh, just so you guys know, you guys are being trespassed as he already mentioned, but you're also being trespassed by us. So, if you guys do come back here, you guys will be automatically arrested. >> I'm going to ask that you just keep your hands up here so that way it doesn't touch your body. >> Yeah, >> you can turn around. >> You're going to the jail, too. >> Oh, I didn't know. >> Yeah, >> why? >> He was wondering. >> Well, he's not here, so really just gossip at this point. Yeah. And also the ank your ankle brace. >> It doesn't come off. It's permanent. >> Your ankle bracelet. >> Yeah. >> Okay. I'm just saying because at the gel they're going to make you try and take it off. >> Yeah. I know. I've dealt with that before. They're not going to be able to. It's permanent. >> Okay. I'm just letting you know. It's a simple thing. >> I don't want this glass. This is my engagement ring. Just put it in. >> Yeah. I'm telling you. >> I'm not going to be the one that's keeping it turning it into just letting you know. >> You let the mother know. >> Well, I'm letting know too in your hand. >> Is that your phone? Yes, I did. >> Cuz you guys broke my phone last time. Is that your >> Can you just do me a favor? Put your hands away from your body. >> Put your hands back away from your front. >> Both women were charged with retail theft with one also facing additional consequences due to an outstanding warrant. A single poor decision, even if influenced by someone else, still carries personal consequences. Taking responsibility early is always better than facing heavier outcomes later. for the next shoplifterss. Let's see this parents awful checkout. >> Therefore, the kid walked away, right? Because they're paying for stuff. We have three children. Don't you see that? >> What do you think you're doing? You're >> Oh my god. >> On January 5th, 2025 at a Walmart, a woman acted inappropriately toward a young boy. This boy had been wandering alone outside until a kind shopper brought him inside for safety. When officers arrived and saw what was happening, here's what happened next. >> Hello, >> ma'am. Ma'am, >> Miss, you okay, ma'am? >> Everything's fine. >> Okay. What you still calling me for? >> Well, because we got a call of a juvenile that's, you know, walking around the lot. >> We're paying for food. So, we have a lot going on. You can see that, right? >> Okay. Thank you. >> Ma'am, can I get your information, please? We just got to document this that uh better. >> First of all, it's not even my kid. So, we need to mind your business. He walked through paid for food. You need to mind your business. You don't need to make a scene. You don't need to do nothing. Listen. Listen. >> I got my You need to walk away now. >> Listen. But that's there's no fact about it. The fact is you need to walk away. >> There's nothing else about it. >> There's nothing else about it. >> Somebody called because the kid was standing up there, right? Okay. Then you didn't call him. So we didn't need you. I didn't ask for you. So you can go ahead now. I'm not going to call my friend cuz I don't have a right to. I don't need to. >> Go ahead. >> I found out by >> So I called because I didn't. >> Okay. So you called him. So talk to him. He called. You guys don't call. Oh, nothing. >> The mother had let this careless situation happen. Yet, she acted like it was no big deal. She even turned rude toward the kind citizen who helped keep her child safe. >> So, that's what you need to mind your business. Go ahead. >> All right. Go ahead. GO AHEAD. YOU BROUGHT him inside. So, go to head. Don't get smacked. Get the out my face, bro. >> Ma'am, I said I said it's not my kid. So, therefore, I don't care. I'm talking. I get that kid. >> We're finished. We're finished. You're in charge of the We're finished. No, I'm not. We're finished. No, I'm not. We're finished. >> So, who was supposed to be in charge of the kid? >> We're done. >> Who's done? I don't know. It doesn't matter. We're done. >> What am I talking about? Why? >> So, she had to She was supposed to be in charge of that kid. And >> I'm not in charge of any kid cuz none of these kids are mine. Therefore, the kid walked away, right? Because of paying for stuff. We have three children. Don't you see that? There's two of us. You see that, right? We got stuff going on. No, he's being whoever the cops being. So now I'm going be a too way. >> I'm not trying to be >> Yes, you are. >> Okay. >> Just talk to me then. >> You're not going to talk to me. >> So this is the kids in the gray hat. >> Her words were completely inappropriate for everyone around her. While officers tried to solve the situation calmly. She refused to cooperate and answered with a tense tone. >> Okay, that don't mean that don't mean what the mean. That mean you hit me. Okay. Okay. And when I see the kid, I was going to go get him. >> I understand. But that's if this lady walked up and said, "That's my kid." We can't just trust that.
