Every time officers receive a report of a theft, it may seem like a simple case of catching the suspect, [music] but sometimes things can get much crazier. >> Oh, no. I got one. I got it. >> Don't touch me. I hate that. Please. >> Go ahead and figure it out. Just a second. >> You're going to go ahead and steal this. [screaming] >> Military uh helmet. I'm wearing that sweatshirt, but I put it on the wrong way. >> You're doing that to yourself. >> Hey, I'm behind your back. >> Here are the times when most psycho shoplifterss get arrested at Walmart. Starting with this woman, the chaos unfolded simply because she refused the chance she was given. >> Okay, you have one more. >> This is a crime. >> All right, go ahead. Place your hands behind your back. and she said, "No, you harassed me. I'm black. You're racist." >> On the 18th of July, 2026, police received a report about a woman who had brought a large amount of her own belongings into the store, raising concerns that she could be hiding store merchandise among them. Along with her disruptive behavior, the store decided to trespass her. But when officers approached her, she clearly did not agree with the decision. >> The cops brought me here. Thank you very much. >> Yes, it is. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Tell me your stuff, please. >> Hello. >> You know, I mean, >> okay, >> here's the receipt. >> Okay, >> I been came in here earlier and I had to tow all my stuff. A cop even came here and dropped me off because I couldn't carry all this stuff. I have over like I overheat a lot. >> Okay. So, who what cop? >> It was a cop earlier who dropped me off. >> Okay. >> But but that's besides the point. If I use the cart, it's no problem. I put my stuff. I let the lady know that it's my stuff already. He literally saw me cuz he saw me from the front obviously. He saw me come in here and I said all of this stuff is mine. >> I been bought everything and this is my stuff. >> Well, regardless, uh they want you trespassed. Okay, that means you need to leave the store. Okay. >> Why am I being trespassed? >> That's not all right. So, >> you're not even reporting this. >> You have two chances to leave the property without me. >> You have a problem. Why am I being trespassed? >> Ma'am. Ma'am, I'm going to tell you all this stuff. >> I'm going to tell you one more time. Take your stuff and get out right now or you're going to go to jail. Okay? You're being asked to leave nicely. I'm being nice to you. Okay? Regardless of your feelings with them, they're asking you to leave. Okay? Private property. >> Trespass for what? >> They can trespass you for any reason. It's private property. >> This is This is not a reason. This is a >> I understand it doesn't seem like a reason to you. >> So, you have one more chance. >> This is a crime. >> Okay. You have one more chance. This is a >> The officers tried to remind her that she still had a chance to leave, but she didn't seem to care and this was a crime. She was ultimately arrested for trespassing. >> All right, go ahead and put your hands behind your back. >> Don't touch me. Don't touch me. myself there. You can't resist. >> Stop resisting or you're going to get tased. >> You're going to get tased. You hear this? You're going to get tased. >> So, stop resisting. Puff her. Cuff that hand and then I'll get the [laughter] other one. >> Now take the other hand down from UNDERNEATH YOU. >> I CAN'T [screaming] I CAN'T BREATHE. Even a taser was used to warn the woman about her behavior. But handcuffing her still wasn't enough to stop the chaos. The moment she opened her mouth, everything became loud all over again. >> GET YOUR MOTHER ON THE PHONE, YOU FREAKING >> GET YOUR mother on the phone, you freaking ANNOYED BASTARD. >> GET YOUR MOTHER ON THE PHONE SO [screaming] I CAN TALK TO HER AND TELL HER HOW SHE RESPECT WHERE YOU ARE. I'M HOMELESS [screaming] AND I CAN'T CARRY MY STUFF. [laughter] >> Leave me alone. You take everything from me. >> Stand up. >> Stand up. >> And I'll be around as well. >> Freaking bastard. You're not here. [laughter] You got two resistance charges. Keep it up. You'll get another one. kill you. >> What did you say? >> I'm going to steal you. >> You're going to do what? >> You said you're going to kill me. >> I'm going to shut you down. I said >> Christ. >> After arresting the woman, officers checked the carts filled with her belongings. But everything raised another question. Did she actually have the means to pay for all of it? >> This car and this little thing she's wheeling around. So she had both of these. But what's this? Is this like a homeless sign? >> Yeah. >> So we will leave in this shopping cart all the hair stuff. So tomorrow you can come and get the videos. >> Yeah. We'll have to get the video tomorrow for sure. They have no one in here that can get uh camera footage until tomorrow. So they can't even verify what property would be theirs from today. >> Did you get the She did have receipts. >> I have no idea where her receipts would be. >> Told her I said you can't be pouring stuff in here. >> Yeah. She got this here and this sign here. That's more like uh what's that word called? Making money. Uh soliciting. >> Oh yeah. >> I said I said you can't be doing that. And that's that's when she started getting loud. You know I told her I said calm down a little bit. Okay then please. And she said no. You heard her ask me I'm black. You're race. I said I ain't race. I said I got more black friends. I got white friends. [laughter] And then she started screaming around and said I'm about to call the cops. >> Yeah. >> And I'm going to call y'all. >> That's the smart thing you did. Like I said, she's got locks on her bag, all this stuff, but I I see no receipts. Just out in the open right now. >> Grab my items. >> Your items will go into the police department for safekeeping. So, when you get out, you can pick them all back up. >> I won't lose any any of those. >> It's all on body cam. It's been on body cam since the moment you and I started talking. Do you guys want both arms restraint or just one? >> Whatever y'all feel like. >> Remarkably, the woman didn't seem concerned about the trouble she had caused. After [snorts] all that chaos, her attention was focused on something else entirely. her belongings and her Bible. >> I like >> Can I have my Bible, please? >> It cannot go with you. Okay. >> It has to go with me. It's just paper like my receipts. >> Okay. Will the jail take a Bible? >> The jail will take a Bible. >> They don't know. >> I'm not sure. We can We can >> check inside the Bible. >> Check inside the Bible >> to see if there's any weapon. But I >> I'm not worried about weapons in your Bible. >> I need my Bible. >> Here's what I can do. I can try to turn it into jail. If they say no, it'll go with the rest of your items. Okay. I will try that for you, though. No, it's not. I'm about to walk right now. I need my Bible. Get ready. First of all, it helps me with my mind break. >> Okay. >> You're going to be sitting down over here. >> So, he's going to switch your your handcuffs. >> That's a handcuff key. >> Oh, you're okay. Have a seat right there. >> Can we pass my Bible, please? >> His hand's going to be cuffed to this chair. Okay. >> All right. Scoot all the way back, young lady. Big J version Bible. >> I guess >> that's the only one I saw over there. So yeah, you can take that with you. >> Okay. Or final. I guess she wants it. Go through. Make sure there's nothing in there. >> Yeah. >> She was arrested and charged with trespassing. When you're asked to leave private property, refusing to cooperate can quickly turn a simple situation into an arrest. [music] Once officers give you a clear opportunity to leave, making the situation more difficult can only lead to greater consequences. Next, this woman had apparently spent enough time in jail to hate the place. >> [ __ ] I hate that place. this [ __ ] plane. I've only been on one. >> On the 2nd of September 2023, officers approached a woman who was [music] kneeling beside her bike in a parking lot after she was reportedly involved in a theft at a nearby store. But as soon as she noticed the officer, she quickly walked away. >> Hey, police, stop. I'm fine. >> Stop. >> I'm fine. >> You're not free to go. >> I didn't do anything. >> Okay, you're not free to go. All right, so stop walking away from me. You're like, "No." >> Okay. >> Why don't you set your stuff down and talk to me, please? >> No, because I'm going to buy something. Please, stop. >> Put your stuff down. >> No. What did I do? >> Right now, you're being detained for investigation of theft. >> No. >> Go ahead and put your hands behind your back. >> I didn't mean to do anything. What did I do? >> Like I said, you're being detained for investigation of theft. Okay. >> Hold on. Oh, >> stop. >> No, please. Please. >> Everything. >> Okay. Like I said, you're being detained, not arrested. Okay. >> No. [ __ ] my life. >> You have any weapons on you? >> No. >> I don't want to go shoot. >> What's your warrant for? The woman was then escorted to the car and her emotions began to escalate, making it seem as though she was the victim here. >> [ __ ] my life. Please don't be secure. >> I'm not taking you anywhere. I'm just putting you in my car right now. What's your name? >> Taylor. >> Taylor, what? >> Taylor. >> Wyatt. >> Okay, go ahead and step in here for me. >> Here, let me get this out of your hand real quick. Okay, you're not going anywhere just yet. Okay, [laughter] put your put your feet in the car and I'm going to go get your stuff so it doesn't walk away. Okay. >> Pay for it. It didn't get paid for. I told her I had a choose. [crying] >> All right. I'm going to advise you of your rights right now. Okay. >> We're under arrest [laughter] on your warrant. >> No. No. No. I don't want to go [laughter] to jail. No. [screaming] No. Am I supposed to see my kid? >> You have the right to remain silent. ANYTHING USED AGAINST YOU in a court of law. >> I HATE THAT. PLEASE. >> Amid her panic, the woman was still able to plead for mercy, making it seem like she was completely familiar with this kind of behavior. >> Do you understand these I explained to you? [laughter] >> No, I don't want to go. Please, please, please. I hate that place so much. >> Something about something I read that you're not. I can't talk to you. Okay. >> I swear I said it was in there and she rang it up. I'll pay for it. Please >> turn around. >> Please. Please. No. No. No. No. Don't take me. Officer, please. I hate the chill. Please. Please. Please. No. I was just getting it taken care of. [crying] >> Okay. It's not possible that you can't get it taken care of. Yes, I love you. Why? Please. >> The officer then checked the woman's information in the system and got an unexpected result, making the situation even more serious. >> Why don't you care? Do I look like I'm a bad person? >> I never said you were a bad person. I never called you crazy. All I said was that you were detained for investigation of theft. And then you have a warrant. Okay. After I arrested you on your warrant, searched your purse, I found what looks like to be drugs in there. So, you're being booked on theft. You're being booked on controlled substance possession, and you're being booked on your warrants. Okay. That's the way it goes. The jail accepted you on your warrants. >> No, they always do. >> Cuz it's a DB warrant and it's not possible. No, I don't want to be. >> But it didn't stop there. At the police station, she was searched again and officers discovered a little secret hidden on her. >> Earlier today, you [ __ ] >> I hate this [ __ ] blank. I've only been once. Yeah, cuz I said I would pay for it. I I see it was missed on the [ __ ] receipt. I was literally doing that and I was like, she didn't know it. >> Okay, I'm going to take this haircut. [laughter] >> Can I see my name or w y a t depressed. >> No. Let me get your jewelry back. >> You need help? Can I help you? >> I just can't do this, dude. [ __ ] hell last time. Finally, the woman was charged with misdemeanor theft and possession of a controlled substance [music] along with being taken into custody on an outstanding warrant. Panic and excuses won't make the consequences disappear. Once officers uncover more violations, a simple theft investigation can quickly become much more serious. Before we move on to the next shoplifting case, let's take a look at this customer assault case. >> On both of them, hell yeah, that's fine. See you guys the camera back this. >> On the 5th of September 2025, officers were dispatched to the parking lot of a Safeway store after receiving a report of a fight that had occurred inside the store. As soon as they arrived at the scene, officers quickly realized the situation was more serious than it seemed when a victim admitted that suspect [music] number two had taken serious actions against them. >> Hello. Are you involved? >> I'm not yelling at you. They assaulted me. >> Okay. Are you just here shopping? >> Yeah, I was shopping and then she goes ballistic on the employees here >> and one she's screaming and cursing getting in people's faces. I did not like that. Plus, I need assistance with the people who work here to finish my shopping. >> If they're busy dealing with her screaming in people's faces, I can't get my assistance. So, I yell at her, "Hey, stop this. This is Is this how you want to be portrayed? Knock it off. And then they grab like a mixture drink, like a smear knob thing, and they throw it at me. >> Okay. Where did it hit you? >> In the chest. >> It hurt. >> No, but still. >> Yeah. Do you want to press charges against him? >> Uh, if she wants to, I will >> because she was screaming at >> Who wants to? >> The employee. >> The employee? >> Yes. >> Did they assault her at all? >> I'm not sure. >> Because they did get in her face quite a bit. They could have. >> You can just see the behavior. And it was the girl in the black shirt holding the phone who assaulted me. Not the one who's actually causing all the trouble the entire time. >> All right, just hang out here for a second. >> Hi. >> Okay, just tell me what happened. >> He [laughter] said he kind of stepped there to try. >> Yeah, he did. Um, just trying to walked out without transaction. He walked out without transaction. >> Was it her that threw the bottle? >> Uh, the one in the black shirt. >> The one in the black shirt threw the bottle. >> Yeah, it was a bottle. It's like those plastic like smearing off mixers like you just squeeze into a drink something like that. >> She threw it at you. >> Yeah, she picked it up, threw it at me. If you check the cameras, you can see it. >> Okay. Do you want to press charges against Okay. >> It turned out that it was not just one person as both a customer and a store employee had been attacked by the suspect. [music] But even with multiple people pointing to the suspect, the woman still tried to deny everything. >> She was pushing me. She hit me right here. I want you to >> Are you serious? >> Pick you up. >> Look at her. SHE HAS TOO MUCH AUTHORITY AS SHE THINKS SHE HAS. ARE YOU SERIOUS? >> That is crazy. >> This lady literally just walked up on both OF US TALKING ABOUT YOU NEED TO STEP BACK. >> WE NEVER EVEN TOOK A STEP. >> Step back. She's stepping on us. LOOK AT HER. LOOK AT HER. >> ALL RIGHT. SUPERVISOR. SUPERVISOR, PLEASE. Cuz that crazy. >> Why are you doing all that? >> Because she sounds crazy. >> It's not that serious. >> She sounds crazy. >> You are yelling way too much right now. >> I'm yelling too much. There we go. Yeah, there we go. >> Yep. Are we yelling too much? Even though she just came up on me like she was about to aggress and attack me just right now. >> You didn't see that, huh? I know. I know. You didn't see that. I know. >> We're here because they said I was stealing. Literally, the transaction went through. It was $2 left. I guess it was through actual cash. >> I did ET and cash. So, he said, "Oh, left." I came and gave the dude $3 left. He said it was, "Oh, it's $29." I gave him $3. Boom. Done. You're stealing this girl right here. You're stealing it. after I already gave the money out. >> Okay. So, you paid for all >> I already paid for everything. I already paid for everything. The seats are in there. I already paid for everything. So, now you're attacking me then. I don't know who this random dude is. I don't know who him this guy. He said I'm going to call the police cuz you're you uh what he say? Uh what's the word? You uh assault. You assaulted me. You assaulted me. I said, "How the I never SAY >> I DON'T KNOW. THIS IS WHERE RUN THE cameras back for her and him, please. cuz ain't never we never did >> literally he said oh it didn't go through came back gave the man the money here boom >> she said you're stealing what you're >> I might have arrests >> assault on both of them oh hell yeah it's fine >> you guys aren going to watch the camera back to see I've never touched none of them >> the officers then approached a second woman who was reportedly a friend of the previous suspect appeared that she was also involved in the incident Hello. >> Hi. >> What's your name? >> Ariana. >> And she's your friend? >> Yeah. >> I don't know what happened, what started the argument or whatever with the employees, but there was a random citizen standing by. Try to step in and like try to settle you guys down. >> Stop provoking. Stop provoking. Stop arguing with her, >> you know. >> Okay. Said what I said. >> He's saying you threw a bottle like a smiroff bottle at him. >> I Is he lying? >> Hold on. I'm talking. I'm asking you. >> I didn't throw a smear off. There was a little icy little container and I threw it. I said, "Stop provoking her, please, so I can get a hold." No, I threw it towards his way. I didn't throw it at him. >> He said hit him in the chest. >> He's lying, sir. He I I didn't hit him. >> I mean, there's cameras, so I'll be able to look. >> That's fine. But I did not hit him. >> So, you picked up something and threw it toward him. >> I told him. I just wanted to just understand. >> What's your What's your purpose of >> I just wanted him to stop talking to her, to rebok it, or just keep arguing with her. I said, "Just stop, please." It wasn't no, "Oh, I'm trying to hurt you or none of that." >> Do you have your ID? You have your ID? >> Yeah, I do. >> This is not all that, bro. >> Where's your car? >> Right here. >> Who's driving? >> Me. >> Have you had anything to drink today? >> No. >> Like, you're kind of sluring your words a little bit. >> I'm slurring my words. >> Yeah, you are. >> I'm not slurring my words. >> I'm not drunk. >> You haven't had any? >> I had one drink. I'm not drunk. >> One drink. How long ago? >> An hour ago. >> An hour ago. Okay. Would you be willing to do some standardized milk? >> What about the weed on the passenger seat? >> Huh? >> What about the weed on the passenger seat? >> That we just got that. >> We just got that. When was the last time you smoked? >> We didn't smoke. >> Not the other day. >> No, no, no, we smoked today, but we just bought that. I haven't smoked >> hours like 2 hours. >> Like 3 hours. >> 3 hours. How much do you normally smoke on a daily basis? >> A couple. >> Both suspects intensely denied the same actions, further revealing their short tempers while the store cameras continued to prove that they had been lying about everything. She is she's her attempting to pay for her stuff. >> She said >> like she threatened to hurt you guys or anything. What did she say? just said, "Uh, I'm intoxicated. I'm going to beat you up. Uh, you look disgusting. You're >> the lashes off your face. >> I'm going to rip my eyelashes off your Yeah, your face. >> You guys want to be victims of harassment?" >> Uh, I do. I don't. Yeah. >> I'll get you a sticker. >> Um, she threw something at him. >> Yeah. >> We're trying to find that part out. That's when she comes over here that she should be coming. >> Okay. Let me go get the statement. >> Okay. I wasn't with her physically. I was walking out of the store and okay, >> police came up. I mean, she was arguing with one of them, the one the young man came out and said that you didn't pay $2. >> So, we walked back in and paid the $2. >> She starts arguing with them. >> And I'm trying to figure out what is going on. And the the gentleman right there was keep provoking her. So, I I grabbed something and I threw it. I I said it like this. I said, "Stop provoking her so she could stop arguing with him." >> Okay, >> that's exactly what I said. He know well I didn't throw no smearing off bottle because there ain't no smearing off. All the liquor is locked up. >> Okay, >> that right there in the bin is a slurpee. Is a little slurpee icy. >> The officers then arrested the other woman based on what they had confirmed. But doing so was far from easy. >> Do you have a warrant out of Kent for assault? >> A warrant for what? >> I just told you assault which is uh what you're under arrest for today actually for assaulting. >> What the did I do? Like are you You assaulted. You threw something at me. Hold on. >> Don't touch me, bro. That's hella weird, BRO. [screaming] >> BRO, I'M INSIDE. >> GET OFF ME. >> THROWING. >> GET OFF OF ME. YOU DON'T NEED TO TOUCH ME. >> YOU ARE INCEST. >> STOP TOUCHING ME. >> If you keep DOING THIS, YOU'RE ALSO [screaming] FOR RESISTING ARREST. Do you understand? >> NO, BRO. I don't have a warrant for what? I have a warrant for what? >> Assault. You're lying. Where? This is so crazy. >> If you do that, then you're going to be placed under arrest for resisting arrest. Do you understand? >> Please, can you touch me? I don't want a woman to touch me. >> You are also under arrest for resisting arrest. Okay. >> I did not resist. Are you serious? Please get somebody help me. Please. >> I warned you several times to stop resisting. >> I did not do anything, BRO. [screaming] I better close this. >> She appeared frustrated and tense, but as soon as she was placed inside the patrol car, she suddenly began acting like the victim. I cannot believe THIS, BRO. I LOVE MY MOM. I did not do nothing. Oh my god. Why? Why? Why, bro? I got a point. I don't have a war, bro. What are you trying to make it seem like? I'm just this crazy person, bro. >> All right, we're going to walk you into the jail. You good? Walk. Walk. No. No. In the end, a Rodriguez, 29, was booked on assault in the fourth degree, resisting arrest, and obstructing a law enforcement officer. All three charges were misdemeanors under Washington state law. Denying what happened does not make the evidence disappear. When witnesses and camera footage tell a different story, resisting officers can only add more legal consequences. Worse, this woman resorted to stealing simply because she was too hungry. >> And then, can I have the wrapper? Thank you. >> Why are you stealing food? You said that your EBT doesn't come in on February 14th. So, you're doing it cuz you're hungry. Okay. >> Yeah. On the 10th of February 2025, police received a report of a vehicle break-in that had occurred in the parking lot of a dental clinic. But the situation became more complicated when they arrived and employees provided more serious details about the incident. >> So, pretty much if you want to come in here. >> Okay. >> So, pretty much um earlier today the owner of our hygienist got broken into her car. >> Okay. And then um the owner of the manager from next door, GNC, later on told us that the people that kind of have gone around trying to open our doors, they were outside right at that moment. >> And that was so the next door neighbor said that they were seeing these people playing. >> They have seen it before, but they were outside again. And then one of our assistants went and kind of confront them like, "Hey, did you guys see anyone breaking shoes?" They got really nervous and they started walking away. What time was that at? >> Just like right now. >> Yeah. >> And they didn't tell you guys or anything? >> They No, they just One of them just said that her husband got shot at Walmart two days ago. >> Who lives people outside? >> Yeah. >> Like I haven't heard anything about >> Yeah, definitely not. >> This girl, she's like really thin. She was wearing a black hoodie. She went across the street to Walmart and then just right now like 2 seconds before he got here, >> he saw you and he started running that way. >> And so he's wearing like shorts and a pants. shorts and a black hoodie. >> A black hoodie. >> Sh shorts. Black hoodies. >> Backpack. >> Yeah. And then the female you said went over there. She's wearing the pink and the what? >> Well, no, it was just like a black hoodie, black jeans. She's like really good. >> Okay. >> After that, officers found the woman inside Walmart and brought her to the loss prevention office where she clearly began to show signs of erratic behavior. >> You don't know your social? >> I don't. >> What's the address you're saying or you say? >> I'm so Did it happen or did it happen? What are you asking about? >> Well, 3 days ago they killed some people in front of Walmart. >> No, it didn't happen. >> No, it didn't happen. >> You guys weren't even here. >> Yeah, we were. But okay. >> You guys were not. >> Were you here? >> Yeah, I was here. >> You were? >> I was. >> Okay. Were you with the other guy on the other side of the street? >> The guy with >> Yeah, I was with him. But that's not the point. >> So, with Edgar, right? Some of the guys that they killed, one of them was my husband, but he's from Mexico. >> Okay. >> Did you Did you have contact with the other? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. I got his 49. He was clear 29. >> And then >> and then she confirmed uh that his name's Ed. So, >> she kept telling an unrelated story, seemingly trying to avoid the investigation. But things took a different turn when a search of her bag revealed something else. So Chuck, you doing you favor take all the stuff out your pockets, put it on the bench. >> Oh, this is the same. >> You guys want to get a price? >> She's also trespassed. We caught her. Yeah, we caught her the other day. >> Yeah, >> that's all the stuff you have in your pocket. >> Trespassing. Yeah. >> You guys good? >> Yeah, we're good. Thank you. >> You guys have my other pocket. >> And then can I have the wrapper? Thank you. And then I'm going to take a picture of this. Where [snorts] did Ed go? >> He left you. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> That's cool. I don't even know him like that, but thanks a lot. >> He left me. What do you mean he left me? >> Were you guys not here together walking around? >> No, we didn't get on the property together. >> Okay, cool. So then he left you to go walk somewhere else by himself. >> You started walking away. He walked out. >> Yeah, I think he was going to kill me. I think everybody's out to kill me. >> And where you hanging out with him, >> bro? I was staying over there. >> Where you staying at? where you keep staying somewhere, but >> I guess I have to go. >> Even the cookie she was eating was reportedly something she had not paid for, but she still seemed unconcerned about whether she had done anything wrong. Instead, using her own unbelievable story to explain the situation. >> What's going on today? >> Nothing. I'm just trying to see who the um got killed here at the Walmart. >> Okay, but why'd you have all that stuff in your pockets? >> Just to see who got killed in front of Walmart. >> Yeah, we have food. >> You guys are saying something didn't happen. It happened right in front of my basement. notice. I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about you putting those items in your pockets. >> I'm here because I'm trying to find out who got killed out in front of Walmart. >> Okay. >> You guys say did it happen. Obviously, you guys aren't here. It didn't happen. >> But I'm not talking about that incident. I'm talking about >> Yeah, me neither. But all the videos, >> the reason why I'm here is because I'm trying to find out. >> Okay. But >> I mean, do you guys have the videos? >> Okay. >> Do you guys have the videos? >> I have I don't I'm not too sure what you're talking about. >> Okay. So, maybe you work with the cartel and [ __ ] >> Why would I? That doesn't make any sense. >> I know. The officers clearly did not believe her story, but they had their own explanation of what happened, one that she ultimately seemed to agree with, all while showing no sign of shame. >> So, he's asking you, why are you stealing food? You said that your EBT doesn't come in on February 14th. So, you're doing it cuz you're hungry. Okay. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Well, then that's fine. That That's what our question was. >> And you know, you're trespassed from here. >> I didn't get a card. I didn't get a piece of paper. >> You were trespassing because they have it on file right here. So, that means the officer advised you. Okay. But I was just trying to sleep. >> Well, you can't sleep anywhere else except the parking lot or the property. She even began making unreasonable accusations. >> You're impersonating an officer. >> No, not at all. >> Leave me alone. I'm leaving. Okay. You're the one who duded you to go back in there. I didn't mean to go. >> I didn't know they wanted you to leave. >> You do witchcraft. I'm Christian. I'm a Christian. See, I don't talk like that. Stop zooting me, okay? >> To help Trump. He died. It was maybe the beginning of March. I really don't know. >> Okay. That's when he lent you the vehicle. >> But he also did call it in stolen the first time. She says, "No, that's not us." >> Well, she she said she was going to call her dad. Okay. >> And her she did get a hold of her dad and he said no, he didn't like the check. >> He didn't. Yeah. Okay. So, they took the check one way or another. Okay. Uh let me see what else do I Oh, there was three other checks. I know that, like I said, I'm going to handle these, but do you have who attempted to cash those checks? Do you guys uh have the Cuz I know on one of them it had like an driver's license number, date of birth, but it didn't have the complete information. I want to see if it's the same girls that are trying to cash those other checks. >> The other No, cuz they were on the ones. It was like a um >> and Lewis or something like that. >> Yes. Lewis. Okay. Since the suspect was believed to have previously been there for similar behavior, the store manager appeared confident in their accusation when officers arrived at the scene. Um, so we had this woman in here shop with her before and we have it on video and we sent the video to y'all and a young girl came and >> she said just next time she comes in the shop to call y'all but she has two of our necklaces in her purse. She said that uh she believed that there was store merchandise that was concealed in your purse. >> No, I'm not concealing it. I have a list of I'm trying to buy for my granddaughter >> and um she's holding it for me. >> Okay. So, did you put it in your purse? >> So, I wouldn't drop it while I was holding it. Yeah, I have two. >> Oh, see this is what they were talking about. So, it is >> I'm looking for all of these things. >> So, what would you like to do, ma'am? >> It wasn't trying to buy. >> No, we have you on video shop looking from us before and we've called the police before and they have videos of you stealing necklaces from over there. We know that they've [laughter] done that. So, >> I can show you the video. >> Okay. So, >> we have that it was concealed in it was in the pocketbook. I don't think she needs to be stealing. I think she's got a stealing problem. >> Okay. >> And so, I would more than anything like for her to get help because she's got family and grandchildren who love her and care about her. >> So, you don't wish for her to be arrested at this moment and charged with shoplifting? She could only use her phone, seemingly unable to defend her actions. And at this point, the store had also decided to prosecute her. >> Do you want to uh what do you what do you want to do today? >> You want to proceed with >> prosecute? She wants to prosecute. She wants to prosecute shoplifting because you have all the elements. So, go right ahead. Or I can do it if I was I got it. >> All right, miss. >> Can I have your bag, please? Face me, ma'am. Face me. Arrest. >> Please don't do this. >> They want to prosecute for shoplifting because here's the deal, ma'am. This this is the deal. So, they have a a previous shoplifting report on you. They have video of it. Um, >> today the items were in your purse and that's not what a shopper would do. A typical shopper would do. But however, the law says once that item is concealed, then you can be charged with shoplifting because it was in your purse concealed and not in plain view while you were out shopping. So that and they wish to prosecute for that. So that's what that's why he's asking you to >> I'm just trying to purchase that list. >> Okay. So ma'am, if you could go ahead and face me and place your hands behind your back face that officer ma'am. >> Yeah. I don't understand where that's coming from. You It hasn't [laughter] happened multiple times >> and I'm on my lunch hour. I have to go right back to work. >> Yes, ma'am. But unfortunately, you made the decision to conceal it in your bag and they say they have a previous report with you which we will look up and so today they wish to prosecute for the concealment of the items in your purse. >> I but I didn't mean to conceal them. I just dropped them in there so I could look at the rest of the stuff and then and I have a list up there that I'm trying to pay for. >> Yes, ma'am. But that's >> and those need to be paid for, too. But the concealment is against the law. >> I understand it, but I didn't mean to conceal it. >> Yes, ma'am. But according to them, they have a previous shoplifting report on you. They have video proof, so she wishes to prosecute today. So that's why you're in handcuffs. >> At this point, she was escorted outside, but she still refused to admit her wrongdoing, as if she did not care about anything the officer had explained to her. >> This is totally a misunderstanding. I'm trying to find all the gifts. You can't conceal, >> but >> you can't put them in your purse. >> I just was putting them for a minute. She's got a She's got a thing for me. >> We'll talk about that over here. >> I'm on my lunch hour. I have to go back to work. >> It was a bad decision. Um, >> but I truly I did put it in there. You can >> Yes, ma'am. >> I showed her on my phone. And I have a whole list of things my granddaughter picked and it's pictures and I asked her to help me find them because I couldn't find the thing. >> And I just put that other one >> in there until >> Well, that's what that's what you'll have to talk with your legal counsel or your judge. >> They the the court will provide you with legal counsel if you can't afford to get your own and you can tell that to the judge. >> My own. I'm just trying to go back to work. >> Yes, ma'am. Unfortunately, that's not going to happen. So what do I do now? I have to >> right now you're under arrest. >> So you're in our custody right now. We'll >> we'll take care of everything. >> A misunderstanding because I >> Yes, I'm a dad. >> I'm trying to pay for it with the other things at the desk. >> The woman showed no remorse and even when facing the consequences of trespassing, she remained completely arrogant. >> Not allowed to go in and buy the things that they have. >> I don't think they want you in anymore. >> Oh, that's fine. Yeah, >> I don't come anymore. But I It's a total misunderstanding cuz I didn't. >> But right now, he just said he's just going to do a subpoena. So, he's just going to let you off with a sheet of paper. Uh you have a court date and then put you on your way. >> Okay. >> But, you know, >> I will just tell the judge exactly what >> I did. And he made I did honestly. I did put it in I put it in that little pocket on the side so I didn't lose it because I had all the other items I was trying to find and show them on my phone. >> Thank you. They are tight. >> Sorry about that. >> Okay, now tell me what do I do? So, >> I wait for a >> So, you're being arrested, but you're not going to jail. >> So, you're going to have to get a court date that I still need to put on there, but >> Okay. So, they will um He said they will contact me at this the address. >> Yeah. >> In the end, she was charged with shoplifting, trespassed from the store, and released at the scene.
