BUT THAT'S MY STORE. THAT'S MY STORE. I DON'T HAVE TO EXPLAIN WHY. >> It's ironic how shoplifters who disregard the law turn a simple incident into a violent one. >> I'm not moving. I'm not moving. Stop it. >> I don't have to explain it. I'm giving you an order. >> No. >> Yeah, I am. >> You're a dirty ass cop. BUT WE ARE NOT MOVING. >> But remorse seems to be nowhere to be found in their mind. >> I'm not resisting, y'all. What am I doing? I'm not resisting. >> You're going in handcuffs. >> I'm not doing nothing. Why your camera not on? Why your camera not on? Why your Why your camera not on? >> Everything is coming up in today's video. What happens when shoplifters attack cops after theft fails horribly? Let's start with the woman who thought she could bully her way out of an arrest. >> I put you in cuffs. We're going to detain you for a second. That's it. We're going to put you in >> We need to find out what's going on and then you're going to >> DETAIN WHAT? THAT'S MY STORE. LISTEN. DON'T GRAB IT. >> ON the 4th of March, 2025, near the intersection of Harlem Avenue and Central Avenue, a woman pushing a shopping cart full of merchandise caught the officer's attention. Especially because she was reportedly linked to an earlier theft at a Whole Foods store and her behavior only made the situation even more tense. >> We're not doing We're not doing this. >> Yeah, you're being detained. >> No, I'm not being I'm not being I'm not. She's not. No, she's not. Keep your hands up. Keep your I'm not pushing Move. >> What do we think she's fighting? Hey. Come here. What do we think she's fighting? She's fighting. That was pretty rough. COME HERE. >> MOVE. I'M NOT PUTTING >> RETURN TO I'M NOT PUTTING [ __ ] MOVE. I'm not putting I'm not putting I'm not putting Put your [ __ ] I'm being arrested. It's illegal. What? You said I'm under arrest. You put your hands on me behind your back. Get off me. >> You're under arrest. >> Move. Stop. Stop. Stop. Get off me. >> Was this woman a professional athlete? Even after fleeing the store, she still had enough energy to struggle against two officers. She kept creating chaos, seemingly trying to make everyone believe she was the victim. She certainly knew what she was doing. >> Stop or you're going to get tased. STOP. STOP. STOP. STOP. STOP OR YOU'RE GOING TO GET TASED. Where is Latrina? Stop. Latrina. Latrina. >> No. No. >> Latrina. Let me. Let me. >> Latrina. >> I have no purse. I have no purse. >> Calm down. >> I want them. I want them. Listen. I want to try. Look, I want to try. I want TO TRY. I'M NOT GETTING LOCKED UP FOR MY NOBODY YOU have it with me. >> Okay, calm down. Calm down. We're going to put you in cuffs. We're going to detain you for a second. That's it. We're going to put >> We need to find out what's going on and then YOU'RE >> DETAIN WHAT? THAT'S MY STORE. >> OKAY. OKAY. >> THAT'S MY STORE. I don't have We didn't get the false arrest all the time. WE'RE NOT DOING A FALSE ARREST. >> WE'RE NOT DOING THIS. >> BUT WHY SHOULD I GET HER CAR? >> BECAUSE WE need to >> But why? Let me tell you something. THERE GO MY OH, WE AIN'T GOING TO USE FORCE. WE AIN'T GOING TO DO THAT. I WILL HELP YOU OUT. LISTEN. >> Backup officers arrived and wow, surely this arrest would be much quicker now. But no, this lady was determined to come out on top pushing the chaos to an even higher level. >> Don't grab her. >> All right, come on. >> Oh, sorry. I thought it Let me Here, give me your I'm going to take your taser. I'm taking your taser. Here, watch out. I'm going to snap my glove. All right, I'm going >> Hold on, did you hear >> You going to court. They getting charged. We're hurting the president of UNITED STATES. THEY'RE GOING TO GET CHARGED. >> Help us out. Help us out. Help us out. Come on. Hey, >> Move. >> Help us out. What are you doing? Come on. Help us out. Help us out. Hand up. >> SHE'S CHARGED WITH 10 MURDER. And that's how that's going down. And you say yeah. Yeah, they parasites, though. >> Hey, can you search her? >> Yeah, get in car. GET MY DAUGHTER. >> IT WAS AS IF they were arresting a group of terrorists. The officers had to split up the tasks with some restraining her, others trying to handcuff her, and another removing her bag. That alone showed just how difficult this woman was making the arrest. >> Relax. Are you telling my >> Nobody's touching >> WE AIN'T TOUCHING >> STOP. STOP. STOP. >> Do I have to say it any more clear? >> Stop. >> Let me tell you. Well, stop it. >> No. >> I ain't standing up. >> Stop. >> He's standing up. >> Stop. >> And that's why they mad. They both is Have we They going to court. Support it. They're murdering the president of the United States. Yeah, it took a lot of But when I get my swords, it's going to take a lot of me. No, what the sergeant said, he's standing on the white house. >> No offender is willing to admit they're guilty, and this woman was no exception. But what was truly shameless was how she kept screaming, seemingly trying to portray herself as the victim in front of everyone around her. >> All right, I'm going to put my hand by your crotch, okay? >> I don't have a crotch. I have >> All right, I'll put it >> Yeah, you can put it in. >> Uh-huh, that's fine. >> Yeah, you you can look down there. You don't have a crotch. They have This is a device. >> All right, that's fine. >> No, I have What I said is I didn't show up. Guys, disease carrier That's what the We just said. And a in this place I would ever touch. Disgusting. He's pulling AND YOU'RE PULLING BACK. WHICH ONE is wrong with me? You or him? You're pulling and he's pulling back. BUT YOU WON'T HELP. And that's what we just said. >> In the end, the woman was charged with retail theft, resisting arrest, and criminal trespass. [music] She also had two outstanding warrants. Cooperating with officers can prevent a difficult situation from escalating further. >> [music] >> Resisting arrest and creating a scene will not make the underlying allegations disappear. Instead, >> [music] >> it can lead to additional charges and even more serious legal consequences. Next, let's meet the woman who played the racist card when things didn't go her way. On the 22nd of January 2026, it was anything but a peaceful day at Schnucks when a woman named Shaniya Smothers caused a scene and yelled at employees, prompting officers to respond. Little did they know that things would quickly spiral out of control. >> At the apartments? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> I come here every Tuesday and Thursday. I've never stolen nothing. I've never taken nothing. They came here and he came back here and said something to me and I told him I said, "No, I ain't never took nothing. I ain't never done it." He said, "Well, we want you out here right now." Why would you want me out here right now and I'm on I'm purchasing my food. I ain't done nothing wrong. No. No, I wasn't. >> Do you have a driver's license on you? An ID on >> I don't have nothing on me. >> Can you give me your name real quick? >> My name is Shaniya Smothers. >> Hold on. >> See, and I don't even like this. >> Okay. Okay. >> I don't know what >> Miss Smothers, Miss Smothers. >> What they probably No, no, no. >> Just calm down for a second, okay? >> No, I can't calm down. >> Okay. What you doing? Okay, listen. >> Listen. No, no, no. >> What you doing over there? >> Look at you. You work for me. >> I am and I got to get your information. >> And I ain't done nothing. >> Listen, Miss I need you to calm down. >> I can't calm down. >> Miss >> Cuz you work and and >> Okay. >> Do you know how many of us die? Okay. >> Okay. >> Do you know >> Do you want to Do you want to Did you pay for those? We don't know. Do you have Do you have a receipt? >> No, Miss >> Okay. What >> I showed you that I paid for I had a link card. >> You have a link card, but do you have a reason >> They came up to me before I could pay for anything and do anything. >> Okay, so I'm asking >> They came to put me in the bathroom and they >> Listen, all I'm asking you is did you pay for it? >> I didn't even walk out no door. I never walked out no door. I don't owe nothing to nobody. I don't owe nothing to nobody. >> It was clear that the woman had little control over her emotions and showed little regard for how her behavior affected others, setting the stage for the non-compliance that followed. >> Hey, I'm still on the line. >> Okay, can you >> Nope. Nope. Nope. >> Can you walk out here with me so we don't cause more of a disturbance? >> We He already caused a disturbance >> Okay, but you're the one yelling, okay? So, would you like to walk out with me? >> me. I didn't bother you. >> Okay, I'm asking you, okay? >> You know why I'm yelling? Because I have been falsely accused. >> Hey, I'm going to ask you one more time, okay? I'm going to ask you one more time to exit the store. >> I'm going to exit the store. >> Okay, come on. >> I'm going to exit the store. Okay, let's go. You can't You can't >> I'm going to ask you one more time. >> do nothing with me when I exit the store because I don't have nothing on me. >> big ban from the store, okay? >> I might be banned. >> Okay, come on. Now, can you give me your date of birth? >> No. >> Okay. >> No, I'm keeping alive. I'm keeping alive. I'm keeping alive. >> Ma'am, we're trying to do this the right way, okay? >> No, I'm not doing nothing. I don't have no more issues. No, no. >> Listen. >> I'm done. >> All right. >> Sir, I'm >> Stop or I'm going to put you >> Please don't touch me. >> don't stop, I'm going to put you in handcuffs. >> I ain't I'm not I'm not I'm not I don't care. You're recorded. I'm recording. >> I'm okay. >> So, there's Here's how this goes. >> care. I ain't got nothing. I ain't stole nothing. So, that's why I'm >> Will you listen to me? >> So, that's why >> to me? >> Please let me go. >> to me? >> Nope. Nope. I'm a black woman. >> Stop. >> I'm not doing nothing to nobody. >> Stop walking to you, okay? >> I You're getting too close to me. >> Because you're you're not listening to me. >> But you're getting too close to me. >> You need to listen to me. If you don't stop, I'm going to put you in handcuffs. >> You going to put ME IN HANDCUFFS ANYWAY BECAUSE >> I'M SAYING YOU'RE A >> YOU GOING TO PUT ME IN HANDCUFFS. >> YOU BEING black has nothing to do with anything. >> It got everything to do with it. I come from a multi-racial family. >> You don't know nothing ABOUT THAT. >> YOU JUST ACCOSTED ME ABOUT SOMETHING THAT YOU ABOUT ME AND I'M NOT >> I'M trying to tell you something. >> Listen to me. You're not telling me nothing. >> If you're not going to listen to me, I'm going to put you in handcuffs. >> I just feel >> And then I'm going to identify you that way. >> I just feel like >> We're not saying that. >> She used race to challenge the officers while making their job more difficult, but the more she pushed back, the more resistant she became until the situation eventually descended into chaos. >> We got to listen. All right. You're going in handcuffs. >> Hey, y'all. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. >> You're going in handcuffs. >> Hey, y'all. Stop it. >> Stop resisting. >> I am resisting. >> Stop resisting. >> I am resisting. >> Hands behind your back. >> I am resisting. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> Put your hands behind your back. PUT YOUR HANDS BEHIND >> HEY, I DON'T WANT >> I AM RESISTING. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> I'm not I'm not resisting, y'all. What y'all doing? I'm not resisting. >> You're going in handcuffs. Please stop. >> doing nothing. Y'ALL, WHAT I'M NOT DOING? >> YOU'RE going to be detained cuz you're not listening. >> Detain me. That's fine. Detain me. >> You are being detained. >> That's fine. Detain me. Detain me. >> Detain me. Detain me. Detain me. My arms are loose. Detain me. But >> Calm down. >> God don't like ugly. Take me to jail. Nope. We ain't got nothing else to talk about. >> Calm down. We've got to double check your cuffs. Make sure they're double locked. >> Y'all wrong and y'all ain't nothing BUT SOME RACIST WHITE I ain't I AIN'T CALMING DOWN. >> TO explain something to you. >> in a white neighborhood. >> We're in a white neighborhood. >> Y'all put the handcuffs on and I've been at work. I've been at work and y'all just >> We're going to go in the car. >> Y'all Y'all I'm at work and y'all just >> Please walk. Walk. Walk. Let's go. Stop resisting. >> Y'all drag me. Drag me. Drag me. Drag me. God going to see you drag me. God don't like ugly cuz I ain't did nothing. >> Why are you doing this? We're trying to work with you. >> did nothing wrong. >> I'm at >> not listening to >> I'm at work. >> I was listening. I'm trying to >> Come on, ma'am. Please get up so we can put you in the car. >> I How can I give you my hand? No, you can't >> Get up on your butt. Sit up on your butt for us. >> She showed no shame in her own actions, even appearing arrogant in her belief that she was innocent while [snorts] employees were providing statements detailing her alleged misconduct. >> They called me over to Deli. She went over there first. >> Okay. >> Teammates told me to She put her hands on and we're yelling at them. >> Okay. >> So, she did de-escalate it. I finally tried to get her to check out and just leave. She kept yelling. She said she wanted to check out up here. So, I escorted her. We stopped at Floral. I tried to check her out there. Then she said she paid for it. I didn't care about the chicken. I just wanted her to leave. >> Okay. >> She started yelling. She came back over here and started yelling at teammates again. I came back over here. That's when I told them over here to call the police. Just have her removed. >> Okay. >> I gave her every opportunity to pay for it and leave. >> So, she made physical contact with some of your employees? >> Supposedly over in the Deli. I haven't been able to verify it. >> Okay. Do they want to press charges for battery or do they just want her gone? >> She's going to get charged anyway. I got her charged already. >> The only reason I asked for the battery is cuz we then we just got to get some more people's information. Not a big deal. >> I mean, yeah. >> Sometimes people don't want to go to court, and I understand that. She wanted a car and obstructing charge with us if she would have just given us her name so we could have trespassed her like you requested, but >> We tried to She obviously is intoxicated as well and >> I I >> I smell it at least. >> I at least smell it. I don't know how >> back and forth and kind of a logical >> So, right now she's going to jail with us for the obstruction, not wanting to cooperate or impeding my investigation. So, there you go. >> I heard it. >> If you have any questions or anything, please give us a call and hopefully you have a a better day. >> Have a good day. Thank you. >> A cashier was also interviewed, providing a clearer account of the suspect's alleged physical aggression earlier in the incident. >> And was mad with another worker about Styrofoam plates. We don't have any, but they've been out for over 3 hours. So, when she got here, they already weren't there. She was mad saying that who did what she was mad at went back there and started talking about her. But, she went back there to tell everybody else we don't have any plates. So, when I heard she was cussing, I came around and she was in my face talking about like saying you need to stop and I'm calling for you all that. And so, I told her we haven't had any Styrofoam plates for a while. And she got in my face and said, "No, I got the last one. You remember I got the last one." I said, "Okay, whatever, you know." I know she didn't, so I'm not going to argue. And when she got in my face, that's when I smelled her breath. And I know she Yeah. And that's when she like shoved me and she She didn't do it hard, but she Don't touch me. >> Did she kind of do like this or >> like a Well, you don't know. >> Okay. >> It wasn't like a attack, but it was don't touch me, please. >> Okay. >> And so, that's when she kept getting more mad and I could tell it wasn't going to like get better, so I kept telling her it's all well. And she goes, "I'm fine, but you're not." And just kept saying stuff like that. And she kept coming back and just standing there. So, I called like and once I like she got even more mad and then started doing that all over my face again. And ma'am, and she thought he said dude. >> Okay. >> So, she went really Yeah, and then that's when told me to just walk away. I stayed away since then. >> When she did How many times did she make contact with you? Was it just once? >> She like >> Shania Smoothers was cited for obstructing identification and resisting a peace officer under Illinois law. Refusing to cooperate can turn a simple request into a much more serious situation. When officers are trying to resolve an incident, escalating the confrontation and resisting their instructions can lead to additional legal consequences, even when the the allegation remains disputed. Next, this woman may not be a shoplifter, but let's see what kind of trouble she caused in the Walmart parking lot. >> On my soul, I'll hold that old up here. On my soul, I'm I'm going to put my hands on her. >> You're being placed under arrest. >> For what? For what? Why y'all pushing me? >> On the 23rd of March, 2026, while everything seemed peaceful inside Walmart, a fight broke out between two customers in the parking lot, prompting officers to respond. But things appeared to be more serious than expected based on the first person's account. >> I think she might have got in that black truck that just walked that just pulled away. >> Well, what happened about this gold car? What about this gold car? >> They They left her here. >> What's going on? >> car, they left her here and they took her. >> I'm recording. >> So you're not the complainant? >> Huh? >> You're Nothing happened to you? >> Yes, she grabbed me and ripped my jewelry off and she choked my cousin. >> Okay. >> She's crazy as hell. She's got a black bathing suit >> So is there more than one person? >> What? With her? >> She's still out there. >> her outside and by herself for a long time. >> No, I'm asking if whoever did this, was there one more than one person or was there one person? >> She was the only one attacking us. >> Wait, and what car did she get into? >> He was black and he was black and and she had another friend who was with her that they left. They left. >> Okay, so so this black truck is the one that she got into? >> know. That black truck that was sitting there whenever they saw you pulling in, they took off and I don't know where he's gone now. It was that truck that was old. >> 90 69 What? >> There's a girl over there trying to arrest someone. >> What? >> 90 53 >> trying to arrest someone. >> Huh? >> It was a >> What the heck is going on out here? >> Look, there she is. >> Where? >> There she is. She's in between them two cars right there. >> Where? Put it in Panorama on the parking lot. Parking lot. 10-4. I believe I'm in aisle 14. >> This 23-year-old woman was at the center of the ongoing dispute. When approached, she repeatedly tried to portray herself as the victim while bringing up details that only made the situation more complicated. >> Oh my god, you are so rude. Oh, WHY DON'T YOU GO BACK TO YOUR CAR? >> OKAY, PLEASE. Thank you. >> What you're not going to do is yell at me. >> No, I don't want to yell at you. Don't touch I'm not trying to touch you like that. >> No, I don't I don't want you to yell at me. >> to be respectful for you. >> What happened? >> First of all, she's been on the phone with me the whole time. She want to come You want to cry now? You want to cry now? You want to cry now? Cuz she was just >> to talk to me. >> Cuz she was just with the dude that I was with with cocaine, snorting cocaine. Oh, okay. >> Okay, well, what happened? >> Anyways, anyways, I ain't got to do with none of that. >> I just need to know what happened between you and the other lady. >> Open. >> That's all I need to know. >> I pulled up. >> Okay. >> Minding my business. >> Mhm. >> She got out of her car, doing what she did, and me, I don't care who you are. You ain't You ain't got to do with me. You ain't You ain't my mama. >> Doing what she did? >> As in coming to act like she had con- some type of control on what she had to do with this. No, you don't. You ain't no cop. >> So, I'm I'm confused what's happening. Well, tell me from the beginning. >> Go, ask her. She's a [ __ ] >> I'm asking you. >> Bro, she's a [ __ ] funny note. She's funny. She's funny. She's funny because the hotel room that we were just at, she was sitting there snorting cocaine. >> I need to know what's happened between you and this other lady. >> you. >> Okay, you gave me like cliffhanger. >> happened between me and this other lady here other than she came behind me. >> right here. I'm or scratch >> I've been had Sherry had I been had this scratch. >> Yes. >> Thank you. >> Her tone and behavior increasingly suggested that she might be intoxicated while several witnesses were ready to share their side of the story. >> I'm just calming down just a little bit. We were coming through and she was staggering over and she thought that we were trying to cut her off. >> She was walking down the middle of the road. >> road and we come on and passed them into park. >> on my car. >> And she started beating on her car real bad. >> The Lexus? Where was she beating on it? >> I looked at it. I She just started beating on the side of my car. >> And when she did that we jumped out and she went full tilt crazy then. >> And she grabbed her. She choked me, scratched my eye. >> And at that point I grabbed the back of her hair and to pull her off of her. >> Cute. Face this way. >> Yeah. >> And look that way. I'm just trying to use the light from the car. >> Yeah. >> Where did she scratch you? >> She She hit me in the face. She punched me. >> Okay. So right there? >> Yeah. >> And where did she get you? >> I don't She She just Yeah, she just broke one of my bracelets somewhere. I don't know. She broke one of them. >> guys want to press charges for battery? >> I want her to go to jail. >> Okay. >> Now I'm from Tennessee. Do you know I have to stay in town for this? She don't need to be out in public. How old are you? >> It says 65. >> And I'm 70. I'm 70 years old. >> She's got markings on her neck. You can see a visual scratch right here. >> Um So her bracelet broke it somewhere. >> The visible injuries on the victim suggested that this incident could have serious legal consequences especially given that both women were over 65. Meanwhile, the 23-year-old woman was still struggling to control her emotions. >> Second. >> Oh, no. >> I said I said just calm down. It's okay. We're going to get everything figured out, okay? Just hang tight right here. It's okay. Just breathe. Okay? >> [laughter] >> I know you I know you just I know I know you just got your car back from the It's okay. Just breathe. Just breathe. It's okay. Just breathe. Try not to get let your emotions get the best of you, okay? Just breathe. It's okay. Ma'am, don't say that. Just Just breathe. Just breathe. Just breathe. Just breathe. It's okay. Nobody's touching you. Nobody touched you. Just breathe, okay? We're going to get everything figured out, all right? I'm not 100% sure. I'm I've been trying to figure out exactly what's going on, but the motor's right. Just hang out right here for me. All right, just hang tight for us, okay? We're going to get everything figured out. No, don't say that. Come right here for me. Let's stay out of the car for just a second, okay? Given the woman's increasingly erratic behavior, officers couldn't be sure what she might do next, so they moved quickly to arrest her. However, she wasn't going to make it easy for them. All right, put your hands behind your back. Turn around, face the car for me, okay? Face the vehicle. You're being You're being placed under arrest. Tell me Why are y'all pushing Stop resisting. I haven't did nothing to y'all. Bro. >> Just face the vehicle. >> But >> Just when officers thought they had successfully restrained her, she managed to slip out of her handcuffs, further demonstrating [snorts] how difficult she was to control and raising more [music] concerns about her potential to become aggressive. >> I know the set of cuffs on you are [ __ ] okay? Once those ones come off, I'll be all right. Are you okay with it? We're going to end up doing that, okay? >> Do we have to get out though? >> Okay. Can you do me a favor and just face that way so we can >> We'll have her get out so we can cut those ones off. >> All right, yeah. Hop on out. We'll cut those off of you. >> You got shears on you? >> I do. You got shears? >> Uh they're in my car. >> [ __ ] >> No, behind your back. >> I'm not going to fight y'all. Just get that off her wrist. >> It ain't got to be that tight. >> Stop. >> I'm not doing nothing. >> In the end, the 23-year-old woman was arrested for battery on person 65 or older, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest. When emotions take over, aggression and resistance can turn a dispute into a much more serious legal situation. >> [music] >> Cooperating with officers and allowing them to investigate the facts is far better than escalating the confrontation and risking additional charges. Next, what happens when family members team up to go shoplifting? >> You're all being detained. >> For what? Detained for what? >> Shoplifting. >> No, you can take your [ __ ] and let me go. >> That's cool. They're my sisters. >> They're your sisters? >> Yeah. >> What is >> They're one of my >> Why are you acting like that, man? >> On the 21st of March, 2025, officers were dispatched following reports of three suspects allegedly shoplifting from multiple stores in the area. At one store, an employee was even pushed when he tried to stop them, prompting officers to investigate his account. >> Good morning, sir. >> Oh, hi, sir. >> Yeah, you got called? >> Oh, my god. Shoplifting can quickly turn into a much bigger legal problem when people choose to argue, resist instructions, or make excuses instead of cooperating. Being intoxicated or acting innocent does not erase the consequences of the original offense. Next, we meet a woman who just can't seem to give up a life of crime. >> I don't want to go to jail because I'm never going to get out. I HAVEN'T DONE ANYTHING WRONG. >> HEY, SHELBY. ADRIAN. Can you take me Okay, I'm turning this way for her. >> Face the car. >> I'll face the car. Now what? >> Her attitude showed no signs of cooperation. She seemed completely unremorseful and even continued hurling insults at the officer. >> I might not. Thank you. Switch. Look, where Where is the >> You're a stop. >> You're a pedophile. You're a pedophile. Literally, you're a pedophile. Ain't no stop nothing. I just told you I don't [ __ ] in my pocket. I'm talking about a mother 49er for somebody saying something Like be for real. So, we can run these cameras back cuz my mama went to school for for this mother judge. My sister in college to be a mother Yeah, yeah, in the car. Like I said, nothing new. >> She brought up her family members who had studied law to show off her arrogance. And more importantly, that same arrogance had already appeared in the previous incident. The officers then discussed it shortly afterward. >> Oh, this is the one she went on Facebook and was like, "Yeah, that was me." I went behind the counter and >> Oh, really? >> Remember that? >> No. >> So, she already recorded herself saying that she broke the law? >> on the the Facebook page comments like Yeah, you're right. I did that. >> So, is it theft too or is it just a >> Uh >> Taking items and leaving? The battery, criminal trespass, and theft. Is that all three? >> The third one is just >> Oh. Trespass and theft. No battery. >> The battery is pending on the system. >> Oh, okay. So, we just have trespass and theft. Do a booking for trespass and theft. Theft under What? Oh, there's proof of Yeah, that We don't need I mean, he'll probably try to talk to her, but >> I I have no idea what she's talking about. >> So, the the Facebook page posted it. And she commented on it I was like Yeah, why would you do that? >> Apparently that video that video never got out. >> Oh, yeah. >> Okay. >> Oh, yeah. >> Back with the woman inside the patrol car, she continued clinging to her sense of entitlement, completely dismissing everything the officers were investigating. >> What are you talking about? All this for a 49er. And I'm talking. I'm done talking. >> I read you your Miranda rights. Do you want to talk? I read you your rights. >> I'm done talking. So, roll the window up. I don't want to hear it. [snorts] I don't want to hear the Miranda rights. Should have been read to me. When you put these cuffs on me. >> That's not how it >> Roll the window up. Okay, well, like I said, I don't want to hear it. Nope. Nope. Nope. Roll the window up. What are you talking about? I'm going to tow your car cuz it ain't going to be me that tow it the back to my house. Now. Now. Ha ha ha ha ha. >> The woman believed she could get away with everything because she thought her family's careers could help her do so, continuing to show that same arrogance. >> My sister works for the police. You >> I'm sure she's proud. >> works for the police. You Y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all. This is not hard. >> I didn't went to school for a medical assistant and a phlebotomist. I ain't doing it right. >> All right. >> I know how to cooperate, I got two kids. One born on Christmas. You try to know how to cooperate, hoe. What you talking about? You ain't even going to give me one of them. >> Every day. Every day. Every day. >> I stay in the heights with a fast homer on my breath. It was just a purple challenge. She seemed completely cheerful, making expressions as if she were simply playing around with everything that was happening. >> That's what I'm going to Let me switch your cuffs out real quick. Let me see your other hand. [ __ ] Nothing in there. Nothing in there. Researcher? >> Yeah, I got it. >> Yeah, it's all right. It's all right. Thank you. You're all right. >> Thanks, sir. >> All right. >> Can you meet us at the McDonald's later? >> In the end, Aquashia Stanford was charged with theft and criminal trespass to real property. No matter how powerful or well-connected your family may be, those connections cannot protect you from the consequences of your own actions. Arrogance and refusing to cooperate will only make the situation worse. >> Nope, we're going to go ahead and take this right here. >> Okay. >> I'm going to take your hands and put you in handcuffs, all right? >> All right. How long am I being Am I just being held? >> Yep, you're being detained. You keep kept these cuz they may have the cards in them, right? >> Yeah, but some of the papers uh I'm not trying to get involved in it. >> No, you're fine. You're fine. >> On the 22nd of March 2025, police arrested a suspect who had stolen hundreds of pieces of mail from multiple residences by riding an e-bike from house to house before fleeing into a store. When confronted by officers, she denied everything, but her behavior immediately raised suspicion. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> What am I being detained for if you don't mind me asking? >> We're going to go ahead and discuss that >> A lawful criminal investigation is all you need to know right now, okay? So, you're not free to go. Come out with us. We're going to go to the store, don't worry about it. >> Okay, can I call my uh >> No. Nope, we're not going to let you call anybody. We're going to take this right here. I'm going to take your hands, we're going to put you in the handcuffs, all right? >> How long am I being Am I just being held? >> Yep, you're being detained. We'll talk about it in a few minutes. >> Okay. >> All right, I'll grab your stuff, don't worry about it. What's up? >> Some stuff fell on the floor. >> Can you Did you buy it? >> Uh >> How did this one get here? >> Yes, you can >> Don't move it, it won't What stuff fell on the You got it. Your nerves? >> Yes, I did. It fell out of my >> Not now. In there? Hold on one second, Alora. You said you dropped stuff in here? >> Um it was the toilet paper. I had to go get out of it. I had to go from here. >> Afterward, officers entered the restroom she had just walked out of, and what they found in the trash can seemed to say it all. She was clearly the suspect they had been looking for. >> Which stall were you in? >> I was in the third >> Hmm. >> [clears throat] >> I need to take this, please. >> Hey, 11 on two. >> Okay. >> We've got a 10-12. Got her out of the bathroom, told she was lying. The detainee went into the bathroom with all the mail with the addresses in the trash can in here. >> Dollar Tree for a moment. Yeah, I'll I'll grab her stuff real quick, we'll go outside, we'll chit-chat, okay? What was your name, miss? >> Uh Karen Miller. >> Okay. Well, Miss Miller, we're going to go outside and chit-chat for a moment. This is all your stuff, right? >> Yes, sir. I got some of that I can get a number off of. >> Miss Miller, let's go out and chit-chat. That's not That's not your purse, is it? >> I guess it is. >> That one right there? That's it, this is yours, Miss Miller, right here. Is this yours? >> Yes, sir. >> Okay, perfect. It's all right. All right, where are we going from? >> I am >> Miss Miller, I'm going to cut right to the chase, okay? I'm going to give you the one chance to be honest cuz we all know why we're here right now, okay? So, what in the world would compel you to steal all that mail today? You're running around here looking like freaking Santa Claus. >> Um I did not have that bag to begin with when that woman stopped me. >> Okay. >> Um I was actually holding onto it for a friend cuz he was going out the road >> Okay. >> and doing it. >> Who's your friend? >> Um her name is Rachel. >> Rachel. >> Yes. >> Rachel, I don't know anybody named Rachel. What's her last name? >> I don't know. She's redhead. Uh she tricks. >> She tricks? >> Yeah. >> Goodness gracious. She named a friend called Rachel to shift the blame onto her, but was her story believable or was it just something she had made up? >> I need to take your sunglasses off just for a second. I know it's bright out here, but well, not quite yet. >> My phone, I know I'm going to have to have um a number to get bonded out. >> you can get your phone and go with it. >> to get it bonded out, right? >> Yeah, yeah. Hey, so she's coming um passing your side. We'll be here in a moment. >> All right. >> Uh so, you were you and this girl Rachel were paid by somebody to to bring it to the house on 8th Street. >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. Who paid you? >> Um he goes by the name of Red. >> Red's like the theme of the day, so you got Rachel redhead, you got redhead, and Red paid you to do it. >> I have red streaks, but yeah. >> Okay. So, how much were you going to get paid for this stuff? >> Um I was supposed to get paid $200. >> And then Rachel the same or she get more? >> I don't know. >> Okay. >> I do know that the the house up there had got raided here recently and all that. >> Why is some of it thrown away and some of it's not though? >> Um >> What was that, Miss Moore? I'm sorry. >> Some uh they said that when we do go through the mail so that it doesn't look like there's so much stuff in brought there. >> Mhm. >> Um to actually feel and see if there's cards in it and I that's why I did it. I felt it. >> Yeah. >> And to see if there was any cards in it and the >> The Yeah, I noticed are the cards. >> Huh? >> All these are the the cards here. So, this is Yeah, you keep kept these cuz they may have the cards in them, right? >> Yeah, but some of the papers uh I'm not trying to get close to you. >> No, you're fine. You're fine. You're fine. Yeah, yeah. It's a lot to open. I don't blame you. >> This is the first time I've done this. >> First time? >> Yeah. >> She claimed she was being paid to do it, but while examining the stolen mail, officers noticed that the envelopes containing cards had been opened. That immediately raised more questions about her story. >> The problem I I believe you that you were paid to do it. Okay, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt there. The only problem is is that all the surveillance footage that we obtained in the last hour from all these areas only show you, Ms. Miller. They don't show any other redhead or anybody else with you. >> Uh she used to be with a guy named Duke. >> Duke? >> Yes, sir. And this is my uh friend >> So, take a picture of that. This was This was used in the commission of a an incident, right now. Yeah. Yeah, you can put your sunglasses back on. >> I'm trying to be as helpful as po- You can raise it back up because I know that's more >> There you go. >> Your Your seems like you're either unwilling or unable to give up any of your associates. >> Well, what what that's unwilling or unable, so it could be either. Listen, so what that's looking like to me is it's looking like it's all just you. >> No, I can't I would be wrong to say >> Hey, Laura. Take a picture of this. Ms. Miller, can you do me a favor? Now, we can have a seat. You can rest yourself. I'll help you down. >> Yeah. Uh they are in >> Okay, I'll get them for you. Lighter in there? >> I know the lighter is right here. >> All right. Right here. Okay. I'll help you down. >> All right. Thank you. Um if you >> There you go. >> Um Thank you. >> Shortly afterward, she shared a little about her personal circumstances, which may have been the reason she turned to stealing. >> Is that your phone or is that your phone? >> The um that was my boyfriend's phone and that was mine. >> Who's your Your I don't know, yeah. Is he local? [snorts] >> He's the reason I got clean. >> You got clean? And why are you doing this for money and not seeking a real job? >> Um I'm putting in applications and I'm not going to lie, we are at Walmart, so >> Oh, sweet. On H hard, what's what's your flavor, ma'am? >> Um meth. He's in and then after all this is done, you can call my dad and let him know that I'm in jail. >> I thought you said he >> dad. >> Okay, I was going to say I thought you just said he just died. >> street He's like my street dad down here. >> Street dad? >> Yeah. >> What's his name? >> Uh John uh Whitman. >> What does a street dad mean? >> Somebody that looks out for me. >> He's not selling you out or nothing, is he? >> Selling me out, what do >> He's not working you? >> I mean, tricking? >> Yeah. >> I don't trick. >> Okay. >> My mother told me while I was in line for the bath. >> Well, if that was the case, I'd like to go after the guy that's making you do that, so if you're saying no, I'll believe you. >> Is it going to be several charges or is it going to be one or is it going to be one big charge? >> Probably just going to lump it into one big one. Depends on how many Now, it'll be one charge, but there may be multiple counts. >> But I will have a bond? >> I'd have to see. >> And I also hate to ask. Um the hair tie I have in my hair, is it solid black? >> Mhm. >> Okay. Not the big one around my head, but the one that's in the ponytail, cuz >> It looks all black. >> Okay. Cuz if not, can I have them let them grow out cuz they won't let me get a hair tie. >> The woman was taken into custody and charged with 63 counts of petit theft and fraudulent use of personal information. Her circumstances may explain why she needed money, but they did not justify stealing hundreds of pieces of mail and targeting other people's personal information. When she chose crime as the solution, the consequences quickly caught up with her. >> I had a feeling to check on my baby and I look over and my car is gone. And so, um there was a trial that was taken. >> Oh. >> Yeah, by you. >> Oh, that. On the 20th of November, 2025, police received a call reporting a kidnapping that occurred while a mother took her family member to browse books at Costco. The victim believed that a man had accidentally pushed her shopping cart away earlier. However, during the call with police, she suspected that it had not been an accident. >> I was just there this morning somewhere around 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. with my infant. She's in her car seat and I put her in the big part of the basket and I was just going through and I had the cart right next to me and I was looking at some books and I had a feeling to check on my baby and I look over and my cart is gone and so I started kind of scanning quickly where it could have gotten if somebody had taken off with it and so went over a couple aisles and I found this man with my cart and his reaction was quite bizarre. really apologetic like I'm so so sorry that'll never happen again. That's all he really said and then we kind of parted ways. I was just so grateful to find my cart and my baby. >> Yeah. >> But the more I processed it, I'm just like I don't think that was unintentional. I think that was pretty calculated. Knowing how Costco works, I was thinking it might be really great for you guys if it's possible to look through some of the video surveillance and he must have checked in with his name and has a picture on his card. I just wonder if there's more that can be done as I don't ever want to go through that again nor do I think that a mom should have to go through that if he's targeting moms. >> Right. >> Trying to abduct children, that's horrifying. >> I'm super thankful that he didn't leave with your baby. You said 4 weeks or 4 months? >> Yeah. >> 4 weeks. >> 4 weeks. >> Okay. >> Within a week, the man had been identified and summoned to the police station. Investigators questioned him about what had happened that day, but he appeared to leave out the accident that had taken place. >> And so I was pretty sure I wasn't going to go. That was the day that I went to Costco because I remember buying a pumpkin pie there. So I got gas and I I went to Costco itself and then I don't know how like annoying or troublesome is it to get a lawyer to like be here? I don't I'm just wondering like cuz like they always like show up like on the TV and like I don't want to be like that guy that's like I want a lawyer and then like they don't say anything and then like [music] it just doesn't help you guys. But like I just want to know what >> Yeah, honestly we're just trying to get some information from your side of the story. I couldn't think >> I just don't know what's going on. >> Yeah. >> I don't know. I'm sorry. >> So can you explain to me what you believe and then >> Confusion or anxiety would normally be expected when someone is suddenly summoned to a police station without knowing why, but he showed neither. Even when officers brought up the incident, he remained suspiciously calm. >> Okay. >> Something that did kind of concern us is that there was maybe an incident where there was a child that was taken. >> Oh. >> Yeah, by you. >> Oh. >> With your child. >> That. I am so sorry. I remember that now. >> Okay, can you tell me about that? >> I was looking in the book section. I was trying to see if maybe if there might have been a good book for my roommate cuz he loves to read books. But I wasn't finding anything there. I think I like had placed a cart next to the book stand and I just like started like moving the cart with me cuz like I didn't want it to get in people's way. So I just started like kind of dragging it. Like I got it from the top and then I moved it forward and then I didn't look and it was inside of it. And then the next thing I know like I hear like I see this woman like come up like birth roll. I I don't know if she called me or if she I just saw her or something, but um I saw her and like she had like cart or like she like maybe she just pulled on the cart that I was pulling and had her child in it. I think that's probably what happened. As soon as I realized that I had the wrong cart, I was I felt awful. And like I started apologizing and I apologized two or three times to her because like I was completely mistaken on my part. I was just scared the Jesus out of her. And then I took my cart and then I kind of went to the checkout stand at back of the store and left the book. And then I think the loss prevention guy was like, "Anything like Is she okay? Like is there anything I should do?" And then I think she just kind of walked away. >> Although he had a fairly detailed story to explain away the suspicion against him, some parts of his account did not match the surveillance footage. >> Let's talk about it now. So, I want you to try to walk through it again if you were kind of looking at books and then you just kind of you just kind of grabbed the cart, right? That's where you're standing. >> Yeah. Is there like evidence saying like I didn't do that? >> Yeah, so the the video kind of doesn't show that. Like so we there's just you know there's cameras in Costco itself. So, we kind of reviewed that video and what you're saying is just a little bit different than what we saw. And so, I'm trying to I want to understand. To me it looked like you really knew that you were grabbing that. >> And we can't help if we don't know the truth. You know what I mean? If we just try to guess and and cuz people do that. They'll be like, "Oh crap, maybe I did screw up today." And then you try to paint it differently to try to save face. But when we do have you know, but then when it's we're met with actual physical evidence that you can see doesn't jive that it's it's totally different. So, that's what we do. We just Yes, we just want you to tell us the truth, man. You know, we're not here to ink you up or trick you or anything. We know things and this is our time to meet you and and just to see how What what can we do? What What happened first off? We just want the truth and then how can we help? >> What would happen if I had a lawyer here, I guess? Like what would that look like? >> Then we would interview you in front of a lawyer. I would talk to you in front of a lawyer. >> Would it like go on like my permanent record or something? >> That you had an attorney? >> Yeah. >> I just don't really understand the question. >> I guess I just don't feel ready or prepared for anything that's going on. I don't want to get anybody in trouble or anything or like make myself a bigger problem than I already am. >> I don't think you're going to get anybody in trouble. Like you said, we're trying to understand where you come from. >> I just I don't know. I just don't want to incriminate myself. I just don't feel like I don't know. I don't know. >> Do you feel like you committed a crime or like what? >> I feel like I do now. It's just being here like >> He tried to delay the investigation by saying he wanted to speak with a lawyer as soon as the officers mentioned the surveillance footage. Sensing his growing anxiety, they decided to show him the video to see if it would trigger any reaction. >> Okay, you're This is the book section that you're talking about. You kind of look around the carts in the middle of the aisle. You're a cart, right? >> Okay. >> And then you see yourself kind of looking around at the end of this aisle. You see how you kind of walk right up to the cart >> Um >> while she's looking away and honestly you can't see it from this angle, but then she comes back out. This is the video I want to talk about. >> Sorry, do we know where my cart was? I just I don't know. I'm just curious. >> Yeah, I mean it's just but remember you said it would have been right next to you or at the end of the aisle. There's just no cart. >> What if it would have been like at this end of the aisle cuz I remember like I found my cart like pretty soon after like that happened. >> Yeah. Yeah, you did find your cart pretty soon after. >> Was it like was Do we know where it was? >> So you maybe told us that you were standing there looking at the books >> Yeah. >> and then you grabbed the front of the cart and walked out. You didn't even look. That's what you're like, "Oh, I didn't even know." >> Yeah. >> as you walked out. But as you can clearly see the video, you didn't do that. You walked by yourself over and grabbed the front of it and walked around. >> So like did I like Do we know if it was like left over here cuz like I might have just left it like >> So you in your cart you had pumpkin pie, milk. Did you have a baby stroller and on it on your cart? So you didn't have that. >> See how it's like big and it's like right here, your baby's blanket with the car seat and it's like, so if this is the top of the car, the car seat's like coming out of it. You almost have to like put your hand right next to it when you grab it. And then >> After seeing all the evidence against him, the man changed his attitude and appeared to admit he was at fault. However, officers still noticed several details that continued to raise suspicion. >> I guess the first thing you should worry about, I guess, in that kind of situation. >> Do you remember saying anything along the lines of, "I'm sorry, I'll never do that again?" >> Yeah, I think that might have been part of my like profuse apologies. >> Okay. And what did you mean by "I'll never do that again?" >> Meaning like I made that mistake that time and like that's never going to happen like again cuz I can't like undo that. Like as much as I want to like not do that mistake that I did to that poor mother and that poor child. Not to make their bad, I just like I robbed them kind of what that makes sense. Like I don't ever make that kind of mistake again. Just being so unaware of my surroundings that I robbed somebody of their child for even just a few seconds. >> Yeah, it's just to me, you know, I wouldn't have said like something along the lines of, "I'll never do that again." That almost implies like you feel guilty that you made the action like on purpose. Not like, "Oh my goodness, you know, I didn't This isn't the cart like I thought it was." You know, something like that. >> I mean, like saying like "Oh, this isn't the like cart that I thought it was." It sounds really light, I guess. I just want to >> light, sorry. >> It means like I just don't feel like you sound sorry, I guess, when you say it like that. >> So, you're you're telling me that you're searching the area, you have no idea where your cart's at, um but possibly on one of these two ends, and then you just think that now all of a sudden it's in the middle of the aisle, even though you thought earlier that it would have been on either side. Now it's in the middle of the aisle next to this lady. You never saw the really large child carrier inside of it, and you never noticed that you had a child in the car seat before that woman approached you. That's a pretty big mistake. >> After reviewing all the details, the officers informed him of their decision. However, his behavior afterward only raised further questions about his mental state. >> So, you are going to be under arrest for kidnapping, okay? So, we're going to detain you guys a little bit longer. >> Okay. Can I talk to somebody? I need help. Please, I need to talk to I don't know what's going on. >> Yeah. >> And so, like, I don't understand what's happening. >> So, you're you're going to be booked into jail soon, but you're waiting for patrol officer to come and get you. So, it's just going to be a little bit longer. >> I just don't understand like what happened. >> The kidnapping. >> Yeah, like, I don't understand like how I'm guilty of that. >> Well, like you said, you're not guilty until proven innocent in a court of law, but yeah, the evidence is against you on that. >> I'm only innocent. >> The man was charged with second-degree kidnapping. This case shows how surveillance footage can quickly expose inconsistencies that words alone cannot hide. Remaining calm or changing a story after seeing the evidence does not erase what was captured on camera. When investigators compare statements with objective evidence, the truth is far more likely to prevail. >> Do you have them now? >> Yeah. And I just don't want to do it in front of her. So, it's up to you. >> On the 16th of April, 2025, police received a report from a Florida store about a woman who had allegedly stuffed more than $1,000 worth of merchandise into her bag without any intention of paying. Officers responded to the scene immediately, and this was what unfolded next. >> All right, so this is the deal. She concealed over $1,000 worth of stuff in a bag. She didn't take it all out when she was approached. >> The problem is we were just trying to be nice and get all our stuff back, but we're still missing items and she's acting like she I mean she works here or something. That's and has So maybe you can help us get her items back. >> Hello. >> Hi, how are you? >> Good, how are you? >> I'm okay. >> Do you have a driver's license with you or an ID? >> Uh she has it. >> All right. >> They're apparently from New York, but >> Do you live down in Florida now or >> No, I live here. I grew up here and I lived in New York for 15 years. >> Okay. How long have you been living down here from New York? Okay. About 2020? >> She's looking for her two items without tags on and I she's asking me where they are. I don't know. I can look for her. I offered to pay for the two for the inconvenience. I know they came off. She said they don't come off when you try them on. >> I mean they were hurt in the fitting room like ripping. >> No. >> I mean these don't come off easily. This is like a hole. >> May I demonstrate actually? It's quite easy. >> No. >> Don't don't rip any more of the tags. >> to rip any tags off. >> No. Just set it down. Just set it down. >> if you put the tag in while you're dressing up. >> She openly admitted what she had done without showing any real shame or remorse. In fact, two items were still missing. Yet, instead of helping recover them, she made little effort to assist and continued insisting she had no idea where they were. >> I want to give them all their stuff back, but they're missing those two items, so. That's where we're at right now. >> I want >> Did I throw them away? No. >> Do you have them on like that? >> Do you have them on under your coat? >> No, I don't and I don't have any I offered >> She said that tags fell off. She said these tags just fell off. >> They're very easy to fall off. And so there's I mean I know that there's like nine pairs of each in the bottom. I guarantee you there's at least two of those >> That's not it is I ma'am I looked before we wasted your time. Our people there are worth looking. She either ditched them somewhere or where they can't be found or she's wearing them. Those are the only two options. There's no other option. >> The hangers the empty hangers were also found. So that's also an indication. >> Do you mind if I look in your bag? >> I do I don't I do mind but it's like cuz this is >> Do you mind if I look in the bag? Do you mind if I search the bag? >> Sure. >> Do you understand they're trying to work with you and just get their stuff back? >> Yes I would I told them I would I mean how can I go look? The thing is I went in twice to the dressing room and the first time it was a younger girl that helped me and I gave everything back and that was when the tags fell off. So they were on the hangers without the tags. I put the tags in my bag. I just didn't want to say sorry they fell off blah blah blah. So when I went into the dressing room to get rid of everything and leave those I put aside with the bra paddings that I had >> Officers suspected that the missing items were actually being worn by the woman but she had no intention of allowing any inspection. Her refusal to cooperate quickly frustrated the store representative. >> What about the two pair? >> This isn't the first This isn't This isn't our first rodeo. So we know our We know our our our laws and what we need to do. She knows hers. We can press charges on everything that you concealed which is a felony charge in the state of Florida. It's over a thousand dollars and you will go to jail. All I'm saying ma'am very kindly and nicely is we want our stuff back. Tell me in where you ditched them. Save all these people's nice time. We will We will trespass you from the store and we never have to see each other again. You can't go into another dealer for 7 years. And it's it's it's it. It's that simple. Or we she has to take all and take put your handcuffs on, walk you out the store, and you have to go to jail. >> I Here Okay, I I can I go with you and her to >> I'm not asking you the entire time to please tell me the truth. I have my purse and I have >> They're going to be on a hanger in one of three spots or on the floor by the dresses. That's it. >> All right, let me see the spots. Let's go. >> She's going to walk. So, if you all want to ask her where it is as well, yeah, to show them where she thinks it is. She just showed a yellow strap. So, They're all We've already checked. Every one of them had tags on it. >> We checked every one. We've done our homework. >> Hold on. I'll just go. >> So, the whereabouts of those two missing items remained a mystery, hidden behind the woman's deception. With no sign of cooperation and the evidence continuing to mount, officers made their decision. >> It's all right, ma'am. We're just going to walk out. >> Okay. I'm not I'm not resisting you. >> Okay. I need you. The night before I needed you. We have just the tags. Officer, I can see that. >> Yeah. >> From the amount of merchandise she stole, it was highly likely that she was stealing the items to resell them illegally. She appeared to be completely professional at it, and even the employees' statements reinforced that impression. >> Can you make it out of 24, honey? Is that okay? >> I put them in the fitting room, so I know what I put in there. >> Okay. >> She comes out, she has two items in her hand. They're not the items that she went in there with. And we went to the fitting room, they weren't in there. I asked to check her bag. >> Mhm. >> And then she refused to walk to the fitting room, and then she shut the door and started taking items out of her bag. And then she admitted to us that she had put them in her bag. >> She admitted to you? >> Yep. >> Finally, the woman was charged with grand theft for stealing merchandise valued at over $1,000. People who think they can outsmart everyone often forget one thing. The truth usually takes longer to uncover, but it almost always catches up in the end.
