Now you doing that for what? You doing that TO ME? FOR WHAT? >> THEY SAID SHOPLIFTING. >> And you know what? >> That wild. >> Come here. >> Whether they leave calmly or flee in a panic, those are the different ways some thieves act right after committing their crimes. Police appear and disrupt them, proving their belief that they had gotten away with it was wrong. These are the moments when when women think her Walmart theft went smoothly. We are This is Law. Don't forget to like and subscribe. Beginning gently with this woman who made the policeman's day. >> And I'm not going to lie. I ain't going to pray. Um I'm not going to lie. Right here. >> Yes, ma'am. Now kick it in the >> On the 29th of November 2024, police approached a woman at the station known to be linked to a theft case and unlike other cases, she readily admitted her actions, even showing a degree of pride in it. >> What are you going to get a WARRANT FOR? >> THEY SAY I WAS SHOPLIFTING. >> SHOPLIFTING. >> AND YOU KNOW WHAT? WHERE FROM? >> At Walmart. And I ain't going to lie, I did it this time. >> I didn't have nowhere to stay. I'm living in the womb and I'm not going to lie. I ain't going to cry e. Um I'm not going to lie. I did it this time and other time you know I not count that for me. Then why I can't picture myself? Okay. >> 811. >> Okay. I get my bag in there, too. I don't I don't run. >> I love you. >> I was going to turn myself in yesterday, but I just didn't want to. So, >> you still take care of the day? >> I'm I I Y'all KNOW I DON'T YEAH, I GOT A WARRANT. >> It was evident that she was genuinely pleased with her surrender. She showed no shame and even casually made requests before going with the police. >> Can I smoke first, please? I ain't going to roll. >> Come on. >> You got your cigarette. Put your money in your um in the pocket. >> We're going to have to You want to put it in her bag? >> Uhuh. >> Okay. >> Leave it in your pocket. You get your phone. I told Y'ALL SOMETHING to >> put your cigarette on. Pig too. I ain't going to run with this, but I came up here. >> Yes, ma'am. That's your phone. >> Yes. Oh, my sister. I met the police. Go to the jail. All right. You >> good? Ready to go. >> Yeah, I'm ready. >> Don't open it up. >> Right here. >> Yes, ma'am. >> Y'all kick it in the good. >> Yeah, I That's why I can't turn myself in. I did. >> Almost. Thought you left the budget in. >> I didn't have the money. It's ego. >> It was clear that the woman cooperated more willingly than in other shoplifting cases where suspects attempt to flee. And because of that, some of her reasonable requests were also accommodated. >> I'm sorry. >> Okay. >> Come on. My handcuff key. They're my medicine. My stuff my stuff. Yes, sir. Okay. You had all for what? >> Go down here and go to sleep. [clears throat] Where are you? I need that one. I get that one. Twist it around. No, I ain't going to twist it on your hair. >> A lot of mess. >> Yes, sir. There you go. I'm >> ready. >> However, in reality, she did not turn herself in immediately after the incident, but only did so after a warrant was issued, which led police to question how she had become aware of it in the first place. >> Hi. >> How do you know you had a warrant? my sister. I called up here yesterday, which I called yesterday and she said, "Yes." And I said, "Well, okay." And I don't like running, so I said, "I just turn myself here today." And that's what I did. >> And y'all don't have That's all my stuff. >> Oh. Wait a minute. Let me sit up somewhere. Okay, I'm ready. Give me one sec. >> Okay. In the end, she was charged with shoplifting. It can be seen that cooperation made the entire process significantly easier, reducing difficulties for both suspects and police, and surrendering can lead to more leniency under the law. The next woman was even worse, entitled, manipulative, and completely without remorse. >> What I'm trying to tell you, don't have toing me any of that. Be rude to me, any of that. We all make poor choices or bad decisions that we all have to learn from, right? >> On the 29th of January 2026, officers approached a woman during patrol because she was recognized as being familiar with a suspect linked to a theft. When ordered to stop, she immediately displayed suspicious and uncooperative behavior. >> Don't go nowhere. Point Police Department. >> I don't got on me. >> Go have a seat, please. >> Go have a seat over there, please. >> I'll move it. I don't have nothing on me. What the >> I got you. You're detained. Okay. >> Detained for what? >> You move. Okay. I see you. >> Hold on. Now you doing that for what? YOU DOING THAT TO ME FOR WHAT? The >> Hold on. >> I got you. Relax. Relax. Relax. >> What are you doing that to me for? What the >> Relax? I AIN'T NOTHING. [screaming] PUT YOUR HANDS BEHIND YOUR BACK. PUT YOUR HAND. Bring your back. Thank you, ma'am. >> Can you give me my glasses? I'll get it for you. Why is he doing that? >> Relax. Relax. >> Stop. Relax. >> Relax. Stop moving. Don't get up. Stay low. >> Stay low. hand. >> You're fine. All right, you just stand up now. Ma'am, >> can you get my >> I got you. >> Don't move. Handcuffs. >> Y'all doing the most. I didn't take nothing. I didn't want to. >> Why you playing me like that? >> Gave you multiple orders. >> No, you said no. No, no, no, no. I'm like, ma'am, >> I'm not going go run from you. >> I don't got nothing though. >> Look at me. Police were forced to handcuff her immediately as in reality she had attempted to escape from her thefts more than once. Shortly after, the officers also explained this to her. >> What are we doing? I I I don't have anything. >> Allegedly, you stole or you have a history of stealing. >> Okay. >> So, that's why we're here. >> But I didn't steal anything. >> Okay. Well, if we have open cases on you, then that's a problem. >> I don't have nothing. >> What What is your name again? >> My name is Tatiana. >> Tat what is your legal government name? >> Tatiana. >> Tatiana. Tatiana. What? >> Smith. name. Yes. >> All right. Smith. >> Yes. All right. Come on. >> Turn left, please. >> Number two, large playground. Nothing heard. >> Can I use the phone? >> Not yet. Come on. >> Don't do me like that. >> I'm not doing like No way. Why would I let you use your phone? >> Cuz I want to call my >> court. You understand me? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> You You slam me on the ground. You got my knee hurt and my side. Like y'all didn't even have to slam me like that. I didn't run from y'all. No, nothing. Your camera is rolling. What's listening? >> I don't have no weapon. Like I was literally listening to everything y'all said, bro. >> Y me for what? >> No, that's not No, y'all on body cam. Y'all did that for what? I'm little. >> Have a seat. >> I'm little. I obeyed y'all. Like where was I going? You slap. You got my >> You got my knee hurting. Next time, listen to what we are saying. >> I am listening to you. You was You just came up being nasty to me. For what? Like for what? >> Always nasty. Huh? That's a problem. >> Okay. Well, you slammed me and I need to go to the hospital. >> It was clear this wasn't her first time facing the police. So, she showed no remorse for her situation at all. She even made it difficult for officers to obtain her information. >> Wait, I need your name and everything. Tatiana Smith. S m i t h i t i t i t >> i a n a call you back. I'm just uh 10 ft away trying to get unfortunate. >> Man, you need to understand like if you're lying to the officer, that's called obstruction. You're going to >> just let you know free and clear. >> Tatiana, spell it again. Tit. I >> just told you T I T I A N A. >> What's your middle name? T >> T as in what? >> Tom. >> Like what is your middle name? >> My middle? >> Yes, ma'am. >> My middle name or my first name? >> Your middle name? >> Tatiana. >> What's your first name? >> Tatiana. >> And what's your middle name? >> Oh my god. My name right now. I can't even. >> Tatiana. What is your middle name? Lie to you. >> That's why That's why I'm I'm trying to be calm, but you not understanding. Tatiana, what's your birthday? Tatiana, what's your birthday? Tatiana. >> Oh, you're not 17. >> I don't even know. >> How old am I then? >> Closer. >> How old is that? >> Yes. >> You like 25? >> Not no damn 25. >> 20. I mean, you ain't 17. >> Can you take me to the restroom? If you take me to the restroom, I'll talk to y'all clear. >> Yes. I'll let you eat, bro. Her repeated requests to be taken to the restroom raised suspicion that this might be an attempt to escape. And that concern seemed even more justified when she became increasingly tense upon being taken there. [screaming] >> ME AT THE I TOLD YOU I'M PREGNANT. >> You You're on your period. You're not pregnant. >> It is. It's just bleeding. I'm telling you. Stop moving, ma'am. See, this is why we had issues earlier. >> And you took my jacket off the cold. Can you find me? >> No, ma'am. I cannot. >> All right. Come on. >> Relax. Don't move until we tell you TO MOVE. OH MY GOD. >> It seemed she still had no concern for her wrongdoing. Even during the escort, she made things [music] difficult, even growing irritated when reminded by the officers. >> You don't got to start limping now again, man. Come on. Let's go inside the room. >> I'm telling you, it's on there. Like, it hurts. Like, I got to go anyway. Like, you you DID THAT FOR WHAT? Y'ALL GOT ME [ __ ] UP. Y'all slam me on that ground for no reason. >> You want to make it seem that's fine, ma'am. But you still wrong. >> I may be wrong. Whatever you say, I can I can accept that whatever I did. Why are you going to accept what you did? You was just cussing at me. YOU YOU AND YOUR PARTNER SLAM ME ON THE GROUND FOR ONCE. >> Go have a seat, please. >> I ain't won. I ain't budg. I didn't do anything. SO, I DON'T GIVE A Y'ALL need to hurry up. I told you my information. I have a lawyer. You can call him. The best lawyer in town. Call him. I'm not talking anymore. And I want to go to the hospital. Y'all was too rude to me for what? To jail, please. OR TO THE HOSPITAL. WOULD YOU NOT BE AFTER YOU'VE BEEN SLAMMED? BUT I'M TRYING TO TELL YOU, YOU DON'T HAVE toing top me ANY OF THAT. BE RUDE TO ME. Any of that. I'M RESPECTFUL IF YOU RESPECTFUL FOR ME. BUT COMING UP SLAMMING ME WHEN IT'S TWOING MEN ON A 105 FEMALE, WHERE THE AM I GOING? WAS I A THREAT FOR YOU GUYS TO THROW ME DOWN LIKE THAT? >> NO. SO WHEN I'M DONE, I'M GOING TO HAVE A [ __ ] LAWYER LIKE I ALREADY HAVE LAWYER, >> MA'AM. >> AND I TOLD YOU GUYS I'M PREGNANT WHETHER I'M BLEEDING OR NOT. IF YOU DIDN'T KNOW, YOU COULD STILL BLEED IF YOU'RE PREGNANT. I'M NOT RELAXING. >> TATIANA, >> WHY ARE YOU THE ONE THE ONE THAT SLAPPED ME? >> That's not him. >> WELL, I'M SORRY, Officer Moira. I'm sorry. >> The woman's apologies were completely insincere as she showed no real remorse. Her identity had still not been verified, forcing officers to check her phone. But that only seemed to become yet another thing that irritated her. >> Come back for what? >> I didn't get that. >> Come back for what? >> Could you try again? >> No. Don't. No. Hold on. You in my phone for what? >> You do not have permission to be OUT OF MY FACE. HE DOES NOT HAVE PERMISSION TO BE IN MY PHONE. I'M ON YOUR CAMERA. YOU DO NOT HAVE PERMISSION TO BE IN MY PHONE. You can do whatever you want to do to me. MY BAD. I'M NOT TALKING TO YOU. HE'S IN MY PHONE. >> But why IS HE IN MY PHONE? >> I GOT nothing against you. >> GET OUT OF MY PHONE. THAT'S NOT YOU CANNOT DO THAT. He cannot DO THAT ALERT. HE CANNOT DO THAT. I HAVE NAKED STUFF IN THERE. EVERYTHING IS YOUR PHONE. IS IT UNLOCKED OR NO? >> BUT WHY ARE YOU IN MY PHONE? YOU TAKING INFORMATION OUT OF MY PHONE. >> I CAN'T IDENTIFY call my mother um lawyer. >> Scott, please get that. >> What is your name though? >> Scott needs your name, man. >> SCOTT, I'M NOT TALKING TO YOU. I GAVE YOU MY NAME. MY NAME IS TATIANA. YOU'RE >> NOT coming back. >> Well, I don't know what the TO TELL YOU. MY NAME IS TATIANA. >> You rude as [ __ ] Uncle Tom ass. >> Oh, that's so cute. >> I know it is. >> She was then taken to the police station to continue the investigation process. But even more disappointing were her shameless remarks in the car as if she saw nothing wrong with what she had done. >> We all make poor choices or bad decisions that we all have to learn from, right? But we're all human. I'm sure it's stuff that you guys have done. Not not judging you or saying you, but it's stuff that cops have done that they they haven't been called for or you know they make bad decisions every day. >> But I'm going as long as someone is respecting me, I'm going to respect them regardless of what they doing. Like I see bums all the time and I don't look down on them. I don't you know whether they out they could be out smoking in front of me. That's wrong. I'm not going to just disrespect them people. >> That that short cop and that [clears throat] black cop was just nasty for nothing. LIKE I'M NOT YES, I GET IT. I'M MAD AT MYSELF. YES, I get it. People People go try to do stuff and think about it and don't do it, you know, and I did not. Whatever they talking about previously, I have no idea. But guess what? It's a way to approach something. You could have said, "Ma'am, you're detained." Um, yeah, I see you don't have anything, whatever, but it's not for this something, you know, anything. But not to handle me like that. And I'm not letting that go. Like, I'm not I know people like get upset and try to get their self out of [ __ ] or, you know, try to prolong or don't want to go to jail. It's okay. If I have to go, I have to go. But this I'm I'm hurt behind this. It really didn't happen. >> Finally, she was ultimately charged with obstruction of justice and theft. Her actions showed that avoiding responsibility only made the consequences worse, proving that dishonesty and resistance toward authorities will only deepen the trouble instead of escaping it. Worse, she was completely unaware of the danger her own actions posed to her safety. >> I just came over here to buy my my my blacks and you for no reason. On the 17th of September 2025, police received a call from a gas station store about a woman causing a disturbance there. And when they arrived at the scene, the argument was still ongoing. >> Hey, come here. Come here. Come here. >> Hey, I've been talking to you politely. You don't listen. Who arrest? >> Ma'am, come here. Can you talk to me for a second? >> Talk to you. >> Hey, ma'am. Ma'am. Ma'am. Ma'am, please come here and talk to me for a second. You're not in trouble right now. I just want to talk to you. >> You know, come here, sir. Can you sit down on these water bottles for me or the curb? >> I was taking >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Go ahead. >> So, were you just drinking tonight? Did you take anything? >> No, I just um um came here for black and >> black and mild. Well, you're very you're highly intoxicated. >> No, I'm not highly intoxicated. I just came from the store. I just bought a black amount. >> Okay. >> I just seen this uh uh whatever this bottle was outside. This is not mine. I seen it over here >> and I took a drink of it. That's it. I don't know anything about this. >> Where where you going? >> I'm for I'm going here. >> I know. Go. >> I just came over here to buy my my my my black mouth. >> Yeah. >> And that's it. >> What do you mean? >> I don't know what I said. >> Although she denied being intoxicated, her slow, sluggish speech clearly suggested otherwise. Even the earlier incident the officers were about to bring up further confirmed it. >> We got a call that you were out here and that you had your shirt on and that you were drawing a crowd. >> No, you didn't have a shirt on or you had your shirt on when we got here. >> Okay. So, you guys need to uh investigate that because I don't have no shirt on. >> Okay. Well, >> it was somebody why you off? >> Because my feet hurt. Because I came over here. I bought my black amount. I'm not doing anything wrong, man. >> Okay. Do you want a squad to come out here just to check you out? >> For what? Yo, >> because you're highly intoxicated. >> No, I'm not. Yo, there's people that's drunk. Like, I'm walking by myself. I just bought some things from the store. >> That's what we got. >> Who got what? >> But we got the information we got. >> What you have? >> I'm going to a female. We're standing out here with no shirt on. She's had a high rate. No, at the end of the day, I mean, that's ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous. I sat here and I gave this to my mother. I bought my cigarette. >> You did? He just told us that you bought it. >> So, what the hell? I have a right to >> Somebody else called that you had a shirt off and we're drawing a crowd. >> I don't have a shirt off. >> No, you have your shirt on when we got here. But you are very highly intoxicated. So, now I'm trying to make sure you're okay. >> I'm just trying to make sure you're okay. >> I'm fine. >> You don't seem fine. I sat here and I paid my money for a smoke a black amount. >> Okay, >> that is not that. Can I go back in the store? >> No, no, no. They don't they don't want you back in the store. You're too intoxicated. All right. >> All right. You, too. Just so you know, everything was audio and visually recorded. Okay. >> All right. Thank you. God bless you. >> All right. Get home safe. >> It seemed like everything had ended there, but just minutes later, the police received another call that she had wandered back into the road, putting herself in danger. Yet, she didn't seem to care at all. You're walking in traffic and you're apparently intoxicated. Okay. You're playing everybody. >> Yes. You're a danger to yourself. Okay. You're in traffic. >> No. You're walking on the side. You're walking in traffic. >> You have no >> All right, man. Well, you were in the street. I identified that you're in the street. Okay. >> I can be in the street if I >> didn't do anything. >> Wait, wait, wait one second. Wait one second. Wait one second. Stay right here. Ma'am, ma'am, you're not free to go. >> I didn't have anything. >> You're not free to go. >> He's detained. >> You're going to make >> You're going to make this way worse. Stop. Please stop. You're not free to go. >> You're not free to go. Okay. >> Listen. Listen. You're intoxicated and you're in the street. >> Yes. In the street. >> No, I'm not. >> Yes, you are. >> This is not >> Now, you are when I turn around. Okay. We're not going to play this game. All right. >> Hang tight and let's wait. If if you are who you are, >> you would you get somebody to come and take >> if you are who you are. Like I said, you live over there for no reason. >> They didn't stop you for no reason. Walking over walking in the middle of the traffic. >> I wasn't walking in the middle of the street. I was >> You were in the middle of the street. All right. I saw you in the middle of street. >> No, you didn't. >> Yes, I did. >> No, you didn't. >> Yes, I did. >> So, just hang. >> And why are you minding my business? I'm minding my own business. I'm walking. >> Oh, wait. I will. I don't know. >> I'm telling you, you're not free to leave. If you walk away, you will be placed under arrest. >> Okay. >> All right. >> She believed the police had no right to interfere with what she was doing, and the situation only grew more complicated due to her reckless indifference. >> My business. I didn't do anything to you. >> Kiana, >> thank you. Have a blessed day, >> Kiana. >> I didn't commit any crime. >> Kiana, listen to me and stop. >> Don't get sued because I didn't do anything wrong. >> Kiana, >> I'm minding my business. Kiana, >> thank you very much. >> Kiana, >> thank you very much. >> Kiana, >> thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. >> Now I'm in the street because you guys are following me for no reason. >> I'm here and stay over here. >> You guys are following me for no reason. >> Kiana, >> what in the world is Jesus Christ? >> Stop. >> What are you doing? You're the pain. >> I'm not doing something wrong, you guys. >> No, we're telling you to do something. You're not listening to us. >> What is the problem? Did somebody call you? What? What is going on? >> You're walking in the street. Come here. It was clear that the officers remained patient, calmly walking alongside her to stop her and ensure her safety, but she failed to recognize it, continuing to make reckless decisions that ultimately forced the police to take decisive action. >> Come here. >> You guys shall do that too. anything. >> Stop. Why are you guys up? >> Stop resisting. >> Stop resisting. >> You're under arrest. >> I didn't do anything. >> You're under arrest. Stop it. >> It's okay. I'm going to >> stop. >> I'm going to do anything wrong. >> Stop resisting. You're going to get charged with another charge. Okay. >> I didn't do it. >> Why are you supposed >> I didn't do anything. >> Stand up. >> You [ __ ] You made it way worse. No, I can't. What the [ __ ] You scared me. >> You're under arrest. >> For what? >> I didn't do I don't know what the >> This was the outcome of the woman's own actions. Yet, she still refused to accept it, continuing to make things difficult for the officers. >> Bag let go of the bag. >> You did not. >> Let go of the bag. >> You did not. >> Let go of the bag. We're done. >> I was sitting here walking by myself on the side of the the sidewalk. You want to let go of the bag? Are you going to let go? >> I understand why I'm sitting here being detained for no reason. Cuz I'm >> You're not detained. You're under arrest at this point. >> But for what? >> A lot of stuff now. >> I didn't do anything. >> I really didn't do anything. >> I didn't do anything because I'm [ __ ] scared. I have PTSD and you guys trying to me for no reason. >> We were trying to get >> I'm walking home. Well, I didn't do anything wrong. >> I'm safe. >> So, I'm safe for what? >> I was already safe. >> So, why'd you run away then, K? >> Cuz you're sparing me. >> WE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING. >> YOU guys are [ __ ] that for nothing. >> We didn't do anything. Stop touching me, man. >> All right. >> You guys are grown ass men. You guys areing weird. You just come over here for no reason and I'm walking home and I'm literally right there by the house. >> Where do you live? >> What the [ __ ] is your problem? >> Where do you live? I JUST TOLD YOU DAMN M AGO. SO [screaming] WHY did you touch me? >> Why did you run away FROM US? >> CUZ WHY ARE YOU DID THAT ASK ME QUESTION? >> WE DIDN'T TOUCH you at all until you started running. >> No. Why are you touching me? >> We didn't touch you until you started running. >> We didn't touch you till you started running. >> Why are you asking me questions for what? For what? Nobody called you, did it? >> We've explained this to you numerous times. Numerous times. >> For what? >> We're not explaining it anymore. That's it. It's done. >> Nobody called you. >> You were walking in the middle of traffic. You were a danger to yourself. >> I was not trying to get you driving. I was literally on the sidewalk, dude. And you know that. Like I was literally right here and you guys just pulled up from my butt. >> Do you have a BLS coming? >> You'reing making my scared like >> I just >> I am. I am injured cuz you just CAME OVER HERE FOR NO REASON AND slam me [ __ ] with the ground WHEN I WAS WALKING HOME. I DID NOTHING to you >> and I want the [ __ ] body cam. >> Completely failing to recognize her own wrongdoing, she continued to see herself as the victim and use that stance to force the officers to repeatedly try to calm and reassure her. >> I am cuz you just CAME OVER HERE FOR NOING REASON AND slam me [ __ ] with the ground WHEN I WAS WALKING HOME. I did nothing to you and I wore the [ __ ] body camo >> because I was not in the street. I was not in the [ __ ] street and you know I was not in the street. >> Calm down. All right. >> I was not in the street. Calm down. >> I was not in the street. I was not in the street. You'reing liar and you're weird of my body. >> Get off of me, my Get the off of me. What the [ __ ] is the problem? I JUST ASKED YOU TO GET THE OFF OF ME. >> I JUST ASKED YOU TO. >> SO WHY ARE YOU touching me? I'm already detained. So why the [ __ ] is you touching me? I ask you to get off of my body. Calm down. >> Get off of my body. That's what I say. How much How much MORE DO YOU WANT? >> Can you take a seat? >> How much more do you want? >> I'm alreadying locked up. So, I ask you to stop touching my body. >> Take a seat. Okay. >> Stop touching me. Yo, >> if you take a seat off of me, >> what else do you want? I'm already locked up. Take a seat. >> I'm asking you to stop. >> Just take a seat off of my body. Take a seat and come down. That's it. >> I got PTSD. My body. Okay. I was molested. The woman was ultimately charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and obstructing justice. The incident highlights how her refusal to comply, escalating behavior, and continued denial of responsibility directly led to her legal consequences, showing the importance of cooperation with law enforcement when safety concerns are involved. Next, this man even chose to play dumb to shield his wife's wrongdoing. Can you recognize what it is visually? The items that y'all stole with my camera. All right. Well, it's clothing that you stole and she stole. >> On the 20th of December 2025, deputies received a report of a fleeing theft. The suspects were believed to be two individuals, a female and a male named Heather and George. At that moment, officers arrived at the loss prevention office to uncover what had truly happened. I believe she was I was on the sales tour and she was doing the video. >> Did they leave with this stuff or >> She attempted to and then I tried to get her to come back inside. This is this is the guy he left after her. >> Did you guys see him put anything in his bag right now? >> No, we were we were focused on her at first because she this is her entrance. She's shopping with um a reusable bag in the beauty department just loading up the bag. >> In what department? >> Beauty. So she started with like um skinare and stuff >> and she left everything. >> Yes. So I announced myself as Target security and asked her to come back inside and she started to come back inside with me but then she just went forward, put the bag down and walked out. Everything in the the Target bag is unpaid for, but she tuck kind of tucked it under her purse so we couldn't see it. Okay. >> So she like kind of walks back inside with me and I keep telling her we're going to go to the office and she's ignoring me. She goes and just puts the bag down. She doesn't say anything. Puts the bag down, walks out. Did you guys see her put anything in her personal bag? >> No. >> No, just the Target bag. >> She didn't. This the Target bag looked old. >> Do you guys have a tag for the 4Runner? >> We just got the first letter. It was a J and it was somewhere. Do >> you by any chance you didn't see what vehicle she went into? >> It was this one right here. >> Is there any camera that like sees the back of it? >> Yeah, but it won't see the tag. That's the thing. Cuz even when they come in, they pull in from right here and I won't be able to see. >> Can I see a picture of the male again? >> Yeah. >> And the female. >> I have the male right here. Delta 2265, can you 1065 description of male and female? Driver is going to be a white male with a gray hat facing backwards, orange. He's going to be a passenger. >> Along with the identification details gathered by the police, another team of officers stopped them in a nearby parking lot. This was what happened next. >> Stand there. Don't um you don't mind if I look at the coals, right? And all the coal stuff. >> You want to interview real quick? >> Yeah. >> We can tag team together. >> Yeah, that's fine. >> Stand here. Don't move. Right. Go on the other side just so we can keep sight of her cuz his face is over here. >> Oh, okay. That's fine. >> Do you want to go with that original plan? >> Yeah, you can ask him. >> I'll turn it around. >> The woman was believed to have admitted to the act, but the man did the opposite. Despite all the evidence he tried to play dumb. >> You seem like a smart fellow. >> You already know that I know a lot of stuff. So, >> I'm just going to run it down from the beginning and then we'll go from there. How's that? So, I know that you own the coals. Can we agree on that? >> Mhm. >> You go inside the coals and all that like that? >> I mean, yeah. I I go in with my bike, right? >> Yeah. So, I mean, looking at the hood of the car, you already know what I mean. It's clothing. >> Okay. >> Do you know what that is? >> Clothing you stole. >> Clo. Can you recognize what it is visually? The items that y'all stole? >> I can't. >> All right. Well, it's clothing that you stole. And she stole that. Remember? >> I mean, I remember being in Kohl's. I I do. >> There's camera footage. There's everything. She's already admit it's stolen. That's why I'm here. I didn't come here to check up on your handicap, but I came here because of stolen stuff. And that's where why we're here. And I'm sure it's like $200 and something dollars. That's a lot of money. Stolen stuff. So that's at Kohl's. Go down to the cart. You steal some more. She got caught. You had your car. Come here. Come on. This ain't yours. Yeah, you didn't have this beforehand. >> I have a ton of shirts just like >> Okay, don't play stupid with me. You got a ton of shirts that look like this. This is >> All of them have those tags on it. >> I mean, I go to Goodwill all the time. I shop at Goodwill. >> You just came from Goodwill. >> Shirts that I have that have those tags on it. >> So, you're trying to tell me that you bought this today. You're already playing dumb with me. Don't Don't play dumb. You're trying to argue me that you paid for this today when it's got the tag on. >> That's been in my possession. Additionally, from another perspective, officers also questioned whether the man truly had no knowledge of the woman's actions. >> Shirts and stuff for my son. >> Okay. >> So, you had no idea that she was going to walk out with anything? >> I mean, I was looking for pants and I see pants over there. So, >> I didn't answer my question. You had no idea that she was going to walk out with merchandise that she didn't pay for it. >> I didn't. I didn't know. >> Okay. So, is that the same thing at Target? You had no idea that she was going to collect merchandise cuz he's going to he's going to try and be nicer to you. Okay. He's going to try and be nicer to you. I'm not. I'm not gonna play with the mess. I'm not gonna be roped around like I'm dumb because obviously we've got stuff over there that was stolen. We've got, like you said, we got video footage of the both of you. So, when when she was leaving Target, where were you? >> Tell you what, on the clothing side, maybe like >> Do you remember having a cart when you were at Target? >> Okay. What was in your cart? >> Uh, there was an ice chest, like a backpack ice chest. It was another uh like a cooking pan, stuff like that. >> Okay. So, when you guys went into Target, was the same plan? Kind of just you were just there to look around. Yeah, I'm looking for stuff for Christmas. So, normal shopping around. >> So, did you know that she was going to walk out with merchandise? >> I didn't even know. You just told me right now that she got caught at Target. >> Now, we both know that that's a lie because >> I know you're saying you just found out because I told you. But we both know that that's a lie because I have you on video footage watching her get caught. >> Watching her. >> Mhm. And after you watch her get caught, you then your car. >> Aren't you a veteran? Don't you have some level of integrity? They just stand there and lie. You don't. >> It turned out the officers created a false way out to test whether the man was truly being deceptive and he fell right into that trap. After some time, a few truths were finally revealed. >> Were you aware prior to me coming here that stuff was stolen? I told you. >> Okay, that's where you're getting. Yeah, >> you did. That's the first honest thing you said all day because when she's telling me cuz when she got in the car she told you that it was stall cuz she told me. You got to stand there and lie. Doesn't make any sense. >> So tell my partner the truth about Target open for >> about Target in Target and leaving. Okay. >> Were you aware that the stuff that she was walking out of the door with was unpaid for? >> No, we did not shop together in Target. >> We did not. >> Did you see her evade the loss prevention officer at Target? I did not see anyone evade anyone. >> Did you see her get caught by loss prevention at Target? Okay. And when she got caught by loss prevention, where did you go? >> Well, I was checking on her. I was worried about her. >> When she got caught by loss prevention, where did you go? >> I left. >> Did you leave right out the door? What happened to your car? You had a cart full of items, didn't you? >> Well, yeah, but I saw my wife having trouble and naturally I ditched everything that I was doing. >> So, you did see your wife get caught by lost. You just told me it was on video. But you just said that you're telling me. You just said that you didn't. >> Anyway, so what did I do wrong there? >> You were not I'm just I just need to clarify. Were you aware or were you not aware that what she was leaving the store with was stolen? Okay. >> We were not together. >> Okay. And with the items that you had in your cart, did you have intentions on paying for those? >> So what was what was the where were you heading? So you were you were near the grocery store, right? You were near in front of that Starbucks. Where were you heading before you saw her get caught with loss prevention? Well, I still had to do grocery stuff so I could figure out. >> So then after you saw her get caught with loss prevention, where' the cart go? >> I think I left it in one of the places right there. And >> did she contact you at all after? >> I contacted her. >> Okay. Did she say anything about why she was caught by law prevention? >> That you know she was heading out the door. So I assume I saw all that. So I had to go figure out what was going on. So, the man did not actively steal, but he knew exactly what his wife was doing and made no attempt to stop it. Shortly after, the woman was taken into custody. >> Heather, go ahead and face away from me. Put your hands behind your back. Put them together like you're praying. Okay. It's going to be the most comfortable for you. So, right now, you're being placed under arrest for petty theft and resisting a loss prevention officer. You're going to go over to that car right there. I know you have a dress on and a sweater. Do you have anything on you that's going to stick, hurt, poke me? You have anything on you that can be considered contraband when you get to the jail? If you do, it's a felony. Going to stand right there. Lean against the car. >> Lean against. >> Go ahead and spread your feet for me. Are you wearing any type of shorts or anything underneath the dress? Yes, ma'am. >> Okay. Do they have pockets? >> They might. I don't know. >> Okay. What kind of shorts are they? >> Like spandex athletic. >> And are you wearing a bra of anything? Okay. It's going to be uncomfortable. I told this. Anything that you want to go with you? Phone. >> You need my driver's license. >> I have your driver's license. Is there a phone that you want to go with you? >> I don't have to charge it. Well, we can you could turn it back on when you're at the jail that you need to get phone numbers. >> Yeah. Or do you need phone numbers or anything like that? >> Bail bond or bail? Hey, can you get me out? You call bail bond cuz I'm going to leave my phone. Is there a reason for me to take my phone? What numbers would I need inside? >> Ultimately, the woman was charged with petty theft and resisting a loss prevention officer while the man had charges forwarded to the state attorney's office for further review. Sometimes staying silent in the face of wrongdoing is just as damaging as committing it yourself. Because knowing the truth and choosing not to act can still lead to consequences. Even more absurdly, the man chose to blame poor memory instead of admitting he had lied. >> What it is the only reason I didn't wear this twin brother or anything? >> No. The only reason I >> Anything else you tell me, man? >> I got short-term memory. >> Short-term memory. >> Yes. All right, my man. Okay. >> On June 15th, 2024, officers received a call from a Best Buy about a man who was believed to be involved in a theft that had occurred the day before. When approached, the man completely denied everything, delivering his story as if it had been carefully prepared in advance. >> Hey, how you doing, sir? >> Doing great. How you doing? >> Good. Good. You got any ID with you by any chance? >> ID? >> Yeah, >> sure. >> Cool. Thank you. >> Uh, so here's the thing. They're saying that you you you stole >> from here. >> Yeah, not today. >> Nope. >> Were you in here at any time this week? >> Uh, no. This the first time I came in. I'm trying to get this uh uh what do you call it? Fixed. >> Do you mind if I check you? Make sure you don't have any weapons. >> No, me check you. >> Yeah, sure. Go ahead. >> Whole thing. >> Oh, you got a little knife. Hold on to it. >> Go ahead. You'll be able to leave with it. Do me a favor. Just face that officer. >> I work I work work work work work work work work. And I came in here because I had geek squad. I bought this from uh night um what do they call it? Uh the night pawn shop down by the casino. >> Yeah. And they sold me a broken one. >> Did you buy anything here today? >> Today? No. >> No. >> No. Okay. No purchase today, sir. I mean, I I got money. >> Let me see if I can get with staff and uh pull up the video footage. Here's the thing. There's a guy in here looks just like you wearing the same exact hoodie. >> Okay. >> But you're saying you were never in this store? >> Nope. The man firmly denied every allegation raised by the officers, but shortly after when they pointed out several matching details, he began to show signs of suspicious nervousness. >> Okay. Did you drive here? >> Uh, yes, I did drive here. >> Okay. Is it possible someone else drove your vehicle here? >> Uh, no. Not my vehicle. My brand My vehicle is brand new. 2013. No one drives my car but me. >> Okay. Give me a minute. I got to hold on to it for right now, man. >> I'll pull out the video footage. If it's you, dude, it's you may as well just come clean about it. If not, then maybe it's just somebody with the same exact hoodie as you. >> Well, it's possible. I mean, these, you know, it is what it is. The only reason I didn't wear this >> is that a twin brother or anything? >> No. The only reason I wear this is because of this right here. I got >> Ouch. >> Yes. I got a staff. >> Okay. So that's the only reason I'm wearing the hot ass thing today because it's embarrassing coming up in the store like this. >> Gotcha. Okay. Stand here with this officer. >> Clearly, although the man denied everything, he began to give increasingly unbelievable statements. And shortly after, the officers returned with solid evidence. >> You ready? >> Yeah. >> Ready to be honest? >> Yeah, sure. What do you got? >> I got your Nissan in the parking lot. I got you in the store. >> Same shoes, same hoodie. >> Okay. >> So, you were in the store. >> Okay. Yes. >> So, now I can't believe anything you tell me. I can't believe anything else you tell me, man. >> I got short-term memory. >> Short-term memory? >> Yes. >> All right, my man. You're under arrest. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> Relax the hand. I know you got a bad hand. >> Got to go behind your back. I >> would have been honest. Mike could have got you off with just a citation or something. >> Hold on. Don't talk. Don't talk. >> What can I do? >> Do you have the >> Where's the laptop? >> It said night. >> Night poncho. >> He still knew exactly where the laptop he had stolen was, proving he did not suffer from any short-term memory loss. And he even remembered the number of years since his prior conviction. prior convictions of lararseny or retail theft long. >> So why you still doing this 30 years later? >> Sometimes your word is your bond. Just be honest. Okay. Can't say they want to fire with you, right? >> You gave me a chance. >> You give me a chance, but you can give me other chances. >> No, chances are ran out, man. >> There's no such thing as ring out chance. >> So, as a 50-year-old, you're smart enough to know if you took something that wasn't yours. >> Right. >> And then the first thing you said >> and you know, >> was I have short-term memory loss. >> Right. >> Right. >> And so, >> but now you remember all this. No, but listen. What I was trying to do was stay out of trouble. >> You know what I'm saying? Like >> if you were trying to stay out of trouble, you wouldn't take something. And if you're trying to stay out of trouble, you certainly wouldn't come back to the same place, >> right? What >> I mean, at least go to a different Best Buy. >> I don't know what to tell you, man. Which is your bad arm, man? >> Bad arm left arm or right side. >> All right. Watch. >> He was ultimately charged with felony retail theft. Dishonesty only deepens the consequences. Owning up to mistakes early can be the difference between a second chance and a far worse outcome. Next, this man even portrayed himself as a wealthy individual to carry out his scam. is actually a uh the property is pertinent properties is a for >> they have notified the bank that not only are they not familiar with your company >> on November 16th 2022 police were dispatched to a bank after receiving a report of a check fraud involving a man. Upon arrival at the scene officers gathered several useful pieces of information related to the case. >> Yeah, I got you. >> What you know so far? >> All right, so apparently I haven't made contact with him. He's sitting over here in the office. Apparently, he deposited this check, I guess, 2 days. Was that 2 days ago? What's today's date? >> Yeah, today's 16th. >> Okay. So, 2 days ago, it was put on a 2-day hold. So, it was supposed to be released today. >> So, he came back in today. Do we know where it was deposited? >> He did it on his app, mobile app, which is how it's kind of like, but I'm looking at it, and you can tell that it's altered. >> So, um, he came in to try to do a $15,000 withdrawal. And you said you've been in contact with this company here. Yeah. And they confirmed that uh their checks were stolen. And this check specifically was mailed to a completely different business. >> Okay. >> So, we don't know how many checks they're possession. >> What was the uh the clue to you that it was? >> So, when you I mean there's a lot of things. So, like the fact that it's all this font in general is not the same as the rest, which is a big indicator of fraud. We see a lot of fraud here. Um and then when you zoom it in, you can see that like uh it's it's blurry around the pig name. So on the what >> on the around the pay name >> once you cuz we're able to like blow this image up there and you could just tell. >> So when I looked at that I contacted the business and they confirmed it was an altered well stolen. The checks were stolen and that's not the right pay. She said >> is this one y'all's cards? >> Yeah it's just a debit card they used. >> Immediately after the officers approached the male suspect and he offered excuses in an attempt to avoid scrutiny of his check. So, um, first, do you have any weapons or anything on you need? No, sir. No. Okay. >> So, the bank thinks that the, uh, check is a fraud. Is there anything you can tell me about the check? >> Uh, no, sir. It's actually a check from my business partner. >> Okay. >> Um, been doing it for years. >> It's from your business partner? >> Yes, sir. Yes, sir. >> Do you mind if I take notes? >> Yes, sir. Okay. There you go. Where my pen? >> And the check is a fraud. >> No, no, no. They said >> that's the individual I just ran. I gave it to >> They said they uh they think it might be fraud. So, you know, we got to investigate. Okay. >> Um >> what's real quick? What's your first name? David. >> David. >> Okay. So, you said the check was from whom? It is actually uh uh the property is Purdue properties is a forer pert properties is the name of the business. Actually the check was from my business partner is just for repairs actually for property. >> Okay. So you're saying the check was >> check out >> for him? >> No, it's for us for repairs. For the property put the money into the property and be able to take out the equity out. Thus, the man had inadvertently admitted that there was manipulation related to the check, and suspicion grew even stronger as he hesitated when questioned about his partner's information. >> Were you the one that deposit? >> It was a direct deposit. Yes. Just took a picture with us. >> All of us was together literally. >> What did you deposit on your on your All of us was together? >> Gotcha. Who's all of us? >> Uh me and Jeremy and the other gentlemen. We were all standing there together. >> Gotcha. Is there a phone number for Jeremy? >> And then who was the other person that was with y'all? >> That was his buddy. I forgot his real name. Nor his buddy. Okay. >> He's normally he's normally with him though all the time. >> See with uh is he part of the business decision? >> No. Well, just with this one because we kind of needed his help. We were at a stand still. >> Yeah. >> Just with this one. >> But this is actually our first endeavor. You and uh the other guy. >> No, this is produced properties. Our first endeavor. >> Gotcha. >> So, you guys were trying to flip houses. That's what we're doing. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. There's money in it. It's just >> I don't know if right now's the time, man. Market's starting to change direction. >> But, you know, that's why actually what we're doing now is really more of investing and we'll keep the property. It's just taking out the equity. >> Shortly after, another officer arrived, compared the suspected fraudulent check, and raised several suspicious discrepancies to question the suspect. >> Would assume that you sign a lot of things being a business person. Correct. >> Yes, sir. Yes, sir. >> So, people tend to sign their signature the exact same way every time, right? >> Yes, sir. >> And you know, your signature is on your driver's license. Yes, sir. So, I'm looking at your signature on your driver's license, and I'm looking at the signature on the back of this check, and I could tell you that they don't look anything alike. They look completely different. So, that's the that's the first thing that stands out to me. >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. >> But a signature on a business check, is is that is that really a problem? That's what I'm asking. What the >> So, that's not that's not that's not why we're here. That's just something that I happen that happened to stand out to me. There's no way that he's sent me a bad check. >> Who? >> The gentleman we got it from. Cuz I've already spent money on the check. >> There's no way. >> Who did you get it from? >> But he gave the guy that was with Jeremy gave us the check. >> Okay. >> The only reason I met with them was to deposit the check. That was it. >> But >> how well you know your business partner? >> Very well. >> Yeah. Very well. We both work at Delta Airlines. I've been there since 2011. He's been there since 2010. Okay. >> Yeah, we've been out long, man. >> The man provided a fairly detailed story, including the company name, his friend, and his colleague. But what he didn't realize was that the bank and the police had already investigated the company on the check beforehand. >> The bank has been in contact with the company who is the holder of these checks. Yes, sir. >> Okay. So, they have notified the bank that not only are they not familiar with your company, um, but that they have recently had checks stolen from their business and that this specific check 005185, >> yes, sir, >> is written in their records to a completely different company. Okay. >> This check is fraudulent. >> All right. Yes, sir. So, this is this is one of those things. I don't know if a police officer has ever told you this before, but this is one of those this is one of those times where we we know the answers to questions that we're asking you, seeing what you're going to tell us, and it would be in your best interest to be completely honest because that dictates which direction things go for you. Yes, sir. >> Right. So, I'm asking you questions. You're giving me answers. I already know the answer. This check is fraudulent. There's no there's no ifands or buts about that. The bank has been in company with in contact with the company. This >> community construction group. >> Yes, sir. >> And community construction group. I had them asked very specifically if they were familiar with your company to see if there had been some sort of mixup. >> This was the first time >> and and they're not. They're not familiar at all. >> Every detail in his story was exposed and he no longer denied anything. Shortly after the police made their decision, >> first things first, guns, stand up, turn. Could you please not arrest me in front of the bank? I'll walk outside with you guys. >> No, I'm not going to do that. Okay. Just put your phone down. In my pocket. Okay. >> The reason I'm not going to walk you outside is because if you decide to run, honestly, >> I don't feel like chasing me. All right. Turn face the make sure these cuffs are are not too tight and I'm going to lock them so they don't get any tighter on you. All right. We'll walk you outside. Yes, sir. Okay. So, the issue is the bank said the check appears to be altered. Go and stand in front of my car, please. the check appears to be altered and the account that the or the company that wrote the check has no idea who your business is and they've confirmed that that check number was written to another business. Okay. So, you're telling me that you were given a check uh from a person that you don't know. You deposited it and now you're trying to withdraw funds. So, you the way I interpret that is you deposited a fraudulent check and you're trying to withdraw money from fraud. Okay. Yes. >> He was ultimately charged with forgery in the third degree. Greed and blind trust can cloud judgment, but failing to verify the truth can quickly turn opportunity into a serious crime. What do you think about cases like this? Share your thoughts in the comments, and don't forget to like and subscribe so you won't miss the next video. Even worse, the next individuals also could not handle the pressure of their own actions. So threshold is 300. All right. So that's what >> on May 24th, 2025, police received a report from Dollar General about a woman committing theft at the store. Upon arrival, she attempted to flee on an electric scooter, but she was quickly apprehended and brought back. Here's what happened during the incident. Do you guys have [laughter] time? >> Oh, I need the whole bag and everything. >> Okay, I got >> Just Why don't you just leave that and you just go on in and have a seat with him? I'll grab this. Do you have an ID, ma'am? >> I don't know. I don't think I have left. >> Can you pull out what you have in your in your pocket? Can we come search you? So, do you have anything else in your pocket? Years. It can be seen that the woman had hidden all the items, including snacks, in her bag. The scooter with the basket was merely a means to move faster. However, everything was so obvious that the bag was soon confirmed not to belong to her. >> Bag the bag from here also. the bag that it was in. this morning. >> Sure. >> That's why we would have got this. There's a whole other bag. There's two bags. They're not from here. Two matching bags. She comes in with the link. I can't verify the bag. That's so And then the next page is I'm just going to try to pull all this stuff out and maybe shove it right back into it. I guess I can >> The amount of stolen goods was so large that the police spent a significant amount of time recovering them. Returning to the suspect, she appeared deeply remorseful and her accomplice confessed the purpose behind their actions. You're homeless, bro. >> Yeah. Trying [snorts] to get some stuff like take us to like video game party. >> I'm just trying to gather items and then p it off. >> Yeah, cuz we homeless now. >> Okay. Have you guys been caught doing this before? >> Yes. >> At Walmart and other locations? Yes. When was the last time you guys have done this? >> Two two years ago. two years ago. >> Thank God. >> Yeah. Do you have a nationwide ban on Walmart? >> Um I was told I could come here cuz they had it personally banned us. I had talked to security and they said that their Walmarts was separate than the other Walmarts. >> Okay. All right. I'll have to double check on that. But does that say that you have a nationwide ban on Walmart? Okay. Well, both of us it was just her. You have one that has to be served which just got served to you >> cuz I'm if I known that I wouldn't have even came here but I was told >> this Walmart was different and they had a band. He I can't I don't know the guy's name. He's real tall. He works here and >> it turned out this was not their first time. Shortly afterward, the total value of the items they had taken was determined. Lovely. Look [snorts] at how pleasing. >> You don't have to stand. Just get both of them. Sub total is 585. So threshold is 300. All right. So, that's what we're finding out right now. Right now, um from our supervisor on leather what we're going to do. >> All right. It should be noted that they had even been trespassed from the store. Yet, they still attempted to enter and commit the illegal act. At this point, it was puzzling to see the woman unable to cope with the pressure of her own actions. So, right now what we're finding out is if one can we issue notices to appear where basically you just go to the police department and um get photographs, [snorts] fingerprints there and release you with the court date or is it something that you have to go to to jail and then you would stay there until you saw a judge? I would say fortunate for you guys if you do go to jail, it's Saturday. >> I can't go. So there's there's court there's holiday court tomorrow because of the holiday and Monday. So at best you can sit there or worse you sit there till tomorrow more tomorrow morning. If you're not there, >> you want to just uh you want to just put your hands behind the back. >> No, I'm going to get it for you. Okay, just put your behind back. >> Hey, hey, don't give up, baby. Just I mean, we got Okay, $3. Don't do this no more. Don't give up on me, man. Please don't give them away. Okay. They won't give the back. >> You guys will get phone calls once you get there. >> I can't call her. So, I'm just going to text her real quick. >> No, once you get there, you'll get phone calls on their their ping. >> I don't believe you. You don't have to. You're allowed, but let this be the bottom, right? >> You got to hit the bottom before you go back up, right? So, let this be the bottom and then everything just got to make better decisions, right? And I get I say that from >> I said >> it's easier said than done. I get that. But we just encourage you to tell us now. Otherwise you said everything. >> If if there was anything illegal or something like that and you were taken to the jail, that's additional. >> The woman and her accomplice were charged with theft and the woman additionally faced a probation violation for her prior offenses. Repeatedly ignoring legal boundaries, even under the guise of necessity, only leads to more serious consequences and legal trouble. Even more chaotic, officers had to deal with two suspects who thought they were above the law. >> Respect for human decency. >> Do you? >> YOU THINK YOU'RE ABOVE THE LAW? >> I DON'T. DO YOU WANT IT? >> YOU can't do that. >> I just did. >> You cannot do that. >> On the 29th of October 2024, police were dispatched to Walmart after a woman refused to leave despite the store wanting to trespass her. Upon contact, the woman's lack of cooperation was immediately evident. >> You about to be out of here. Do you understand? >> I was. But what did I do? >> Because they don't want you here no more. >> Yeah. But what did I do? >> You don't have to do anything. This is private property. >> It's not private property. It is. >> It is private property. >> They're going to tell you one time or you can take you to jail. It's up to you. >> Now, what do you want to do? >> All right. First of all, y'all are getting aggressive. >> Are you going to leave or not? >> Eat the wrong way. Eat the wrong way. >> Are you going to leave or not? >> You're the wrong way. I didn't even do it. >> Why are you arresting me right now? >> Trying to talk to you. >> Hello. >> Yeah, I need my license. >> Yes. >> Okay, we get just a minute. Right. >> You committed a crime. >> Hold on. >> What crime did I commit and why am I being detained? >> How old are you? >> Huh? How old are you? >> Let's go. >> How old are you? >> Ma'am, you're going to be next for obstruction. Now go. YOU'RE GOING TO BE NEXT. YOU'RE GOING TO BE NEXT. >> WALK AWAY. >> YOU'RE GOING to be next. >> Come here. Come here. you. Why is your 15 14-year-old daughter not driving? >> No, look, I'm in pain. You want to see my surgery? >> You cannot. He cannot drive. Keep walking. Come this way. >> Excuse me. I'm trying to talk to him. >> That's not There's nothing. >> It's fine. It's fine. >> Why am I being detained though? >> You're being arrested. >> For what? The warning. >> Congratulations. Put him in my car. >> But you didn't even tell me that. >> I told you that a long time ago. I told you a long time ago. >> You too. It wasn't just like >> But you didn't want to hear me. >> If they don't want to serve you, they don't want to give you any type of business, they don't have to. While the suspect was being escorted, the woman in the blue shirt followed along as her driver's license had been taken by police due to a separate situation. And throughout the walk, she repeatedly pleaded despite knowing the officers were busy handling the case. >> You have to understand, >> no, there's no crime. >> I have surgeries >> and I'm in pain and she needs to get a permit trying to go to the hospital. >> And she needs to get a permit. >> Can you take me to the hospital? >> I can get a rescue to that hospital. >> No, no ambulance. I don't need ambulance. I just need to get there first. You didn't want to hear me. You wanted to talk mess to me over here. So, this is what happens. And this this I'm sorry. We're going to the police station. Let me get your badge number, sir. >> 2251. >> 1712. >> No, I can only I can't take you. I'm about to take you to jail. Listen, >> you took my license. >> Yes, cuz I have to give a citation. >> Okay, then give me the citation. >> You're not driving that car. Only Only she can drive. Only you can drive the car, right? >> Yeah, I know. >> I know exactly what y'all doing. Y'all see this? I hope everyone's getting a good look. We could we go out some more. >> Yeah, we going to walk up. >> We could do a parade. >> I'm not serious. >> I got to do something to y'all. >> Nobody said you did anything. You just won't You weren't listening. >> You can't touch my >> I can't do Yes, I will. And I I can and I will. >> Stop. Stop. >> I'm going to sue y'all. >> I'm s What you going to do? >> What the >> Listen. >> Why are you Come here. Come here. Come here. >> Ma'am. Ma'am, >> come here. Come here. Come here. Come here. Yes, I can. You remember? Come here. Come here. All right. >> The officers struggled to handle two situations at once, and the first suspect made it even more difficult as she soon engaged in actions that escalated the situation into chaos. >> Committing a crime by walking into a Walmart, acted like I hurt anybody. Did I put my hand? Did I curse anybody out? >> How many times did we ask you to leave? >> Who is we? >> He asked you. He >> didn't ask me to leave. He asked me to put the car thing on. >> No, we asked you to leave. >> You're not this way. >> I am. Turn around. >> I'll play the game. >> Don't sit there and and do this to me. >> I'm in >> resistant. Get out of here. >> Get out of there now. >> I don't care. Get out. Leave. >> I have a son. >> Leave. Leave. Leave. Or you going to jail. >> I'm not even I'm putting you on your side. just kicked ME IN MY ASS. >> NO, I DIDN'T. >> YO, HELP. HELP. >> TURN AROUND. >> NAH, MAN. They they being too brutal. They just kicked me in my ass for no reason. >> And Tomas, >> stop moving. Face the car. >> Stay in the car. >> Stay in the car. >> You're literally hurting me. >> Stay in the car. >> All right. Do we need to put him on? Don't put him in the back. Just put them in the back on other side. What do >> they have there? Trespassing in a [ __ ] Walmart. >> All right, we got we got >> Turning back to the other woman. She was reported for shopping while leaving a minor in the car. Upon confrontation, officers immediately focused on safety. >> How's that child? >> How's that child? >> She's 10. No, put her in the back seat. This child needs a a boost. This child needs a a string seat. >> No, this child cannot be driven out here like this. >> Go to jail. >> You can for a minor. >> You can go to jail for that >> because your baby's in the back seat with no car seat. He's not buckled in. There's a child that's not supposed to be in the front seat. >> On top of that, she couldn't even see the steering wheel. >> Yeah, >> you put the lights too bright in our car. >> It doesn't matter. She's 14. >> Doesn't matter. >> She's not 14. >> But still, does she have a Does she have a permit? >> Does she have a license? >> Not yet. >> Okay. If you want to do this, we can take everybody out the car, tow your car, and you can figure out how you're going to get home. >> If you guys want to do that, it's fine. >> Go do that. Let's do it. Let's do it. Give me your license. >> No. >> Give me your license. >> Hold on. >> Give me your license or you're going to jail. >> No, you can't take my license. >> Give me your license or you're going to jail, >> ma'am. >> Hold on. It's No. Hold on. I'm the police. Give me your license. >> Call him cuz I need Spanish. You don't need Spanish. You speak Spanish. You're speaking English. Fine. >> This woman switched to speaking Spanish, seemingly to create a language barrier and complicate the officer's work while the initial suspect grew even more agitated. >> What's your name? >> What's your name? >> My friend. >> Why am I trespassing in a Walmart? >> You guys don't want to answer You don't want to answer nothing. I have you don't want to ask answer any questions I have from y'all on why I'm BEING ARRESTED, WHY Y'ALL BEING SO [ __ ] BRUTAL, BUT YOU HAVE THE NERVE TO ASK ME MY NAME. How dare you? You have no respect. >> Let's close the door. >> Look, I'm trying to give you an opportunity so we can explain everything. >> You're not giving me any opportunity. YOU NEVER GAVE ME AN OPPORTUNITY. You told ME TO PUT THE CARD up and I came to you AND I GAVE THE [screaming] CARD BACK TO YOU AND YOU'RE TELLING ME I'M TRESPASSING. >> What What did you say to me when I asked you about the card? What did you say to me? Am I Are you my [ __ ] daddy? Isn't that what you said? >> THAT'S NOT WHAT I SAID. ARE YOU MY [ __ ] DAD? I SAID, WHY ARE YOU TALKING TO ME LIKE YOU'RE MY FATHER? >> LIKE, AND >> I ASKED YOU A VALID QUESTION. >> OKAY. AND AND what did I say? They don't want you in here. And what did you say? >> WHO IS THEY? >> MANAGEMENT. Why didn't management just come up to me and say, "Can't you leave the >> I'm I'm a representative of their staff today and they asked me to do so and that's what I asked you to do, but you wanted >> it's not it's not even it's first of all, it's how you ask somebody. Number one, you can't just come across somebody. You do you have any respect for human decency? >> Do you >> YOU THINK YOU'RE ABOVE THE LAW?" >> I DON'T. DO DO YOU WANT TO DO YOU WANT TO continue explain Let me explain. for you. >> It was clear that she considered herself above the law, deliberately refusing to understand the reality and continuing to challenge the officer's leniency >> when I was in the store. >> Then we asked you to leave. >> Who? Who was we? You weren't there when >> I was just there. What are you talking about? Can we just Can we start over to So who put you in handcuffs? Was it me? And I remember asking you and telling you to leave. Management had already told us to tell you to leave, MY FRIEND. WHY DO I HAVE to leave? >> Cuz you're Cuz you're acting up in the store and they don't want your business. >> Acting up. >> I wasn't there. That's not up to me to start determine. Okay. So, I'm going to give you one chance. Instead of taking you to jail for no reason, how about you provide your name and date of birth? Because if I book you in as John Doe, no one will know you're there. Nobody will know who you are. So, would you like to give me your name and date of birth? >> Why do I have to go? I'm going to jail immediately for >> Yes, you're going to jail immediately. Yeah. If you don't provide your name and date of birth, >> I feel like this is illegal. Well, you could fill out. Did you go to law school? >> Yes. >> How old are you? How old are you? >> I don't have to give you that information. >> What law school did you go to? >> I don't have to give I don't have to release anything. >> Exactly. You didn't go to law school. >> You're a public police officer, right? >> A public police officer. >> I'm a police officer. Yes. >> That works in the public, right? >> Yes. Public servant, my friend. >> Exactly. So, I don't have to release any of that information to the public. >> What you have when you're when you're detained, you have to give your name, date of birth. When you're accused of a crime, you have to give your name, date of the person. >> Obligated to by who? >> The state of Florida. >> Take me, gentlemen. Okay. >> Turning back to the other woman, this mother would also have to be taken into custody. Yet, she remained completely obstinate, making the tension just as intense. >> You're not going to tell us how we're going to do our job. We're not going to do this. >> Give me your ID right now. You want to jail? >> You're still on the Uhuh. Okay. >> Don't resist. >> Okay. >> Don't resist. >> No, I'm not resisting. >> Don't resist the phone. >> He's taking me to jail for He's trying to do the same thing as he did to the other kid. No, you can't. >> Someone resist. >> Yes, we can because if you're going to jail, >> you can't. What are you arresting me for? >> Contributing a minor. >> Hold on. Hold on. >> Drop. Just put on Put it right here then. >> Put it right here. >> Drop your Keep your license, too. >> Hold on. >> Put your license on, too. Please, Miss back and forth. >> You know why he's trying to arrest me? Cuz I took a video of >> No, that's not why. >> And he said that I was obstructing their way. >> Give him your license. >> You can't do that. I just did. >> You cannot do that. >> Come on, miss. I'm not going to do this with you. We We tried We tried to ask you many times. >> No, I'm No, >> it's fine. >> Cuz you're doing an injustice. That's why you're trying to >> First of all, are you done talking? I'll tell you what's going on. >> Okay. >> Are you done? >> Yeah, I'm done. >> All right. So, your child has No, your child has Does your child have pain? >> No, I'm in pain. Yeah. And >> you don't listen, too. >> I'm trying to go to the hospital. Yes, I need the medic. Yes. >> Have a seat, my friend. Give me your hands. >> I can't give you my hands. How am I giving you my hands? >> The first suspect was arrested for trespassing, resisting arrest, and obstruction, while the other woman faced charges related to endangering a minor and obstruction. From this incident, it's clear that defying the law and refusing to cooperate only worsens outcomes. Trying to manipulate situations or exploit leniency not only escalates conflict, but also puts oneself and others at risk, especially when children are involved. Worse, the chaotic couple chose a reckless and irrational way to solve their problem. >> The one that came up on me after we should have handled it ourselves. Let's go. >> Let's go. >> She's shot here and she's over there in her leg. >> Okay. All right. >> On December 23rd, police received an emergency call from a Domino's store reporting an ongoing disturbance. But they did not know this incident would go far beyond their imagination. Returning to the initial moment of contact, the customer, who was also the suspect, completely made everything tense. [ __ ] in there jumped me. THEY CAME OUT OR WHATEVER. And they jumped on me because I asked for a refund. I've been waiting for 6 days and I came up here and I asked him, "Where is my money?" Because she just hung up on me when I called. >> She told me, >> "Nobody a lady that just left eyewitness. She called, right? was talking about an order from last Thursday. I told her it was from last Thursday. I cannot look up my order from last Thursday. I got to get it home for the customer service. She overtalked to me. Blah blah blah blah blah. I did disconnect the call. I'm going have to try while you already told you I can't go all the way back next week. I told you the problem. I told you the solution. What I can do for you. She pulled up early. So she get out the car at the window and she swings on me. So you damn right. I'm going to I'm going to swing back. You can ask anybody in here. She at the window. The man came in here, reached this woman, and he had me first. So that's when I told them, "Y'all got me." [ __ ] or whatever. The man got out the car first with his phone. So y'all can't hear me. Y'all can't hear us cuz y'all got the music. First off, nobody never said we can hear y'all. The [ __ ] was mad because I said, "I can't go all the way back to next last Thursday to get your order for you." This the lady right here who think the whole thing actually. >> I'm sorry. I came back because she said my um license plate number on there. I didn't want any issues because I just came up here to pick up a pizza. But this is the thing. Do >> you know who was the instigator? >> She was the instigator. That's why I started recording it because the first >> when they ran out there, my kids are in the car and they were in here and she came in here towards them with it. They told my kids to get out of here and all I see is my kids running into the car petrified because this lady is getting out her car about to fight this lady over Another one. >> So, even witnesses had footage capturing the suspect's erratic behavior. And it seemed she showed no remorse at all when admitting it. >> Okay. And it's clear what it says on the receipt. >> You know what's clear? The video. >> Here it is right here. Yes. And what did it say? >> It shows you assaulted her. >> I assaulted her when she was the one who ran up on me. Not to mention, she was the one who came out of the store bothering me. >> I just watched the video. >> Uh-huh. >> You totally instigate the thing you see. >> I instigated it. So, what was happening when we were right here at the window? >> Only video I see is right here. >> Oh, so all you see is right here. But even though I was at the window, I came up and I asked for my money back. She was the one who was getting an attitude. Why would she be out here and allow me to do that if she wasn't the one who was instigating it? She was the one who walked around and walked up on me. Are you kidding me? So why is she out of the store walking up on me? If she's not instigating it. You tell me that. So I got my fist up cuz I'm ready to defend myself. Are you kidding? >> Huh? And then did you see THE OTHER GIRL JUMP IN it and hit me and kick me and [ __ ] DID YOU SEE THAT? >> SO YOU TELLING ME THEY CAN ASSAULT me or run up on me? Come out of the STORE AND RUN UP ON ME AND THEY'RE NOT IN THE ROOM. Let's go get our We start. >> Come on. >> Show yourself cuz I ain't going to do [ __ ] >> Well, we could arrest you both. >> Oh, come on then. I'M READY TO GO. >> The woman driven by anger completely disregarded right and wrong. At the same time, the man accompanying her appeared, but he also contributed to escalating the tension. >> OH, THAT'S A TOUCH. >> THEY JUST TOUCH NOBODY. [screaming] >> THAT DUDE WAS HITTING HIM OUT HERE. >> I JUST TOUCHED NOBODY. COME ON. LET'S GO. Let's go. We don't need a touch nobody, man. >> The one that came up on me, I said, man, I don't have handled it ourselves. Let's go. >> Let's go. I ain't nobody video. You do what you need to do. >> So, you see me hit somebody. >> Come on. I saw you help her. >> I help her get up and I push the girl off my woman. >> You a He lying, man. You ain't SEEN ME NOBODY. >> THAT'S WHY THEY AIN'T GOT NO MONEY IN. >> We won't vote for any. I didn't actually see you HIT to her. Why didn't they call the police? >> I GET OFF THE GROUND. WHY DIDN'T THEY CALL THE POLICE? IF I WAS ASSAULT, WHY DID I HELP my girl GET OFF THE GROUND? >> IF I WAS ASSAULTING THEM, WHY DIDN'T THEY CALL THE POLICE? THEY DID. >> THEY DID. >> That's a lie. Come on. >> Give me your You got a coin, man. You going to threaten me with arrest and I ain't put my hands on nobody. >> Thank you. Thank you. They came out. I JUST MY GIRL AND ASSAULTING ME. CAME OUT OF THE STORE. And so it's OKAY FOR THEM TO COME OUT AND BE AGGRESSIVE. THAT'S WHAT YOU'RE TELLING ME. >> CUZ I ASKED FOR MY money back. THE MONEY I PAID FOR a pizza that they up AND I ASK FOR MY MONEY back and they get an attitude with me AND THIS COMES OUT THE STORE AND SAYS I'MMA BEAT YOUR ASS. >> SO I PULL UP AND I'M LIKE BRING YOUR CUZ I'M NOT AFRAID OF YOU. YOU'RE NOT GOING TO THREATEN ME and give me mying money. Are you kidding? >> I don't understand. >> If it's more than one, man. They jumped on them, man. I don't know. >> ARE YOU KIDDING ME? ALL I'VE BEEN DOING WAS SITTING HERE WAITING ON THEM TO be professional and give me my money back. At that moment, there was not enough evidence to arrest them, so both were allowed to leave. But what police did not expect was that they returned just hours later, making the situation far more serious. >> Who shot? >> Me. >> Where at? >> My back. I don't know where he came from. He walked up on the side of us. >> Go ahead and sit down right here. Go ahead and sit down. >> Where? Who else is shot? Just you? >> No, she's in the back. >> Um, no. I'm not I don't even know what she said. 662. We got one female shot scissor left side ribs. >> We're at >> She shot here and she shot over there in her leg. >> Okay. All right. >> 662. >> Second female shot in the leg and in the hand. >> See uh is there's a person >> we don't know. I heard pops right here. I've got these clean up here, but 486. While officers and medical teams were handling the chaos, another officer gathered statements about what had happened. >> What? What? What did What happened? What did you see? >> I was actually back here just in the back of the store and I heard pop pop right outside the door. Then they came tearing and yelling, "Call the cops and she got shot." >> Okay. So that's his information. >> You heard her. She was going which is a good thing. Congratulations. >> Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. I got everybody else. >> I'm going back cuz he said that uh they were outside in the bathroom. Yes, >> sir. Yes, sir. All right. >> Yes, sir. >> Doing good. Yes, sir. >> All right. >> Yes, sir. >> Got you. >> Yes, sir. >> According to reports, the man returned to take revenge on behalf of the woman. Ultimately, he [music] was convicted of two counts of first-degree assault, two counts of armed criminal action, and unlawful possession of a firearm, ultimately receiving two life sentences, plus an additional 3 years in prison. Letting anger spiral out of control and choosing to handle it yourself can quickly turn a minor conflict into a life-changing crime with irreversible consequences.
