Okay. >> What did I just tell you? Stay against the wall. >> Okay. What you missing about? >> I don't have it. Stop. >> What started as simple shoplifting cases turned into intense marathon chases driven by arrogant thieves who believed they could escape the consequences of their actions. But in the end, it all came [music] crashing down. Watch today's video to witness it all unfold. The worst shoplifter [music] tries to flee from Walmart with a full cart. We are This is Law. Don't forget to like and subscribe. Starting with [music] this woman who believed paying for the stolen items could help her escape consequences. >> And I got money right here. Don't get >> Hey, can you let me just pay for myself? I I already rung it off. You going to take me to jail, right? And I pay for my merchandise, right? You sitting right seeing me on camera pay for my stuff. >> On the 16th of November 2023, officers received a call from Walmart reporting a shoplifting incident and the female suspect was said to have been detained in their loss prevention office shortly after. This was what happened when officers arrived at the scene. >> Hey, yes, we pressing charges. Hello email. Okay, I answer this before you even try to take me to jail anything like that. They saying I didn't ring all my stuff up, but really I had to ring all my stuff and even if I even if I don't have to ring all my suit up, I still had money to pay for this. Why? That's why I was trying to tell him and I was about to pay for it and basically he just trying to basically I mean point of sale like I said >> that's what you what you getting a police officer for and I could pay for my [ __ ] That's what I'm telling you. That's why I come next week. I ain't tell you why pass point with stolen merchandise. That's your mistake. >> I steal nothing, bro. I paid for my make sense for them to call the police and I got money right here for snacks for some little [ __ ] like this. >> Well, so let me explain to you how shoplifting works. Okay. Um once you pass all point of sales and you make it obvious that you don't plan on buying the items, that's when you commit the crime. Okay. It's completely up to the quote unquote victim in this case, which the victim being Walmart, on whether or not they want to allow you to pay for the items or not and then just be done with it. Right. >> That's what I'm That's what I'm telling you. You ask you, can I pay for my [ __ ] >> I'm pressing charges. Listen to me. >> Listen to me. >> Quit stealing. >> If they don't want to allow you to pay for it, >> just allow me to pay for my shoes >> and they press charges, then that's their decision. >> And I got money right here. The woman attempted to use multiple excuses to downplay her wrongdoing, but she never actually denied it. At that point, the officers made their decision. >> Stupid and I got money on my hand. >> Do me a favor. Put your hands behind your back. Okay. >> Yes. Put them behind your back for shoplifting. >> I pay for stuff. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> Okay. So, what about my pay for stuff? What about that? >> Give me this. >> Give me your hand. Hey, stay against the law. Do what I tell you to do or you're going to catch another charge. Do you understand me? >> Take a couple deep breaths and pay for that stuff. You don't see him. You don't see him. >> Face the wall. Stand right there. >> You don't see You don't see the >> Stop. Do what I tell you to do or you will catch another charge. Do you understand me? >> Calm down. >> But you you you putting me in handcuffs for nothing. You can't even turn. >> Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. It's dying. >> I hate the [ __ ] police, man. >> Good. I'm glad. >> Let me put my >> 1375 for forensics. >> Hand me this. Let it go. >> Are you serious? >> Face the wall. Stop. Quit moving. Do what I tell you to do or you're going to go on a ground. >> So, you really going to let this man take me to jail and I pay for? >> The woman acted disruptively to appear innocent and held on to the belief that she was being wrongfully forced into jail. But in reality, her actions on camera told a very different story. >> Yeah, I got one down. It's just >> Yes, ma'am. >> Did you see the last part of my text? >> Erica, >> stay against the wall. Scoot over. Stay right there. Do not move. Got him doing the video. You want to bring him back? Right. Yes, ma'am. Some paid for like Hey, just >> paid for $24 worth of stuff and stole approximately $50 worth of stuff. >> Okay, but listen. Check this out. Oh, it's a real job. Hey, so okay, you going to take me to jail, right? And I pay for my merchandise, right? You sitting right seeing me on camera pay for my stuff? I'm talking to the officer, too. You don't You want to see me pay for my stuff? What did I just tell you? Stay against the wall. >> Okay, but you missing the part I'm watching. We missing the part. >> Stop talking for like 3 minutes and let me watch the video. >> You're missing a part where I paid for >> Stop talking. We ain't got to that part. >> All right. All right. All right. All right. But you missing that part. >> All this talking you're doing is not helping your case at that. You missing the part where I p it at you cuz I'm I'm looking I'm looking right right at the video where I'm paying for my [ __ ] at. >> So is not paid for it. Let's pay for two items puts five in the bag. Two items five in the bag. >> And even if I but I scan all that stuff. So even if I didn't scan it and I got the money, I told him to ring it up and just go ahead and pay. Go ahead and let me pay for it. You see I got the money right here. And you see I paid for my and you still couldn't just ring it up. I'm talking to you, man. Blue shirt. Hello. >> And then, do you have her walking out? >> She constantly interrupted as officers tried to understand the situation as if she could manipulate them to her advantage. But when confronted with what they had seen, she nervously denied everything. >> They had you on camera shoving bags of potato chip. Huh? >> I did not. I paid for them. That's what I'm telling you. You ain't seen they see you ain't seen me on there paying for the stuff. No, you were shoving them straight from the buggy into the bag. >> I scanned them. >> You did not scan them. I watched it on camera with my own two eyes. >> But I paid What I'm telling you was >> So, how much money did you spend? >> I spent 27 something. >> And how much was all the stuff worth? >> She's doing it right now. >> The ch the ch the chil is worth 20 ch is like $10. >> Spent $24. It was more than that. >> It's 27. >> I think she stole around 50. >> HOW? HOW? WHEN I ONLY HAD 10 BAGS OF CHIPS. Did you even count? >> Listen to me. If you keep screaming, we can't >> have 10 bags of chips. The chips was a dollar. I got all that money right there. And you can't let me go for it. >> That's not my choice. That's theirs. >> And I And I had pay for stuff. >> If you move all pass points of sale without paying >> Hey, can y'all can y'all talk real quick? >> So, what's fixing to happen is a female is coming. She's going to search you. >> Okay. My money right there. Okay. >> You going to take me to jail for $10? Basically, >> they want to press charges of chips. >> They want to press charges. I have to. I don't have a choice. If they want to press charges, they tell me, "I want to press charges." I have to thank you. >> I can guarantee you they're not going to respond to you when you keep trying to interrupt them and yelling at them. Okay? Honestly, I would probably assume the whole reason you're in this situation in general cuz you have a horrible attitude. And I can tell that right now. I'm That's just my assumption. And I've only been here 5 minutes, but I'm assuming they are so steadfast on pressing charges cuz of how bad your attitude is and how dismissive you are. >> But I'm telling you, I had 10 bag of chips. All right. >> Okay. They're fixing to bring a receipt with everything and then a receipt of stuff that you paid for and we're going to compare them and if they don't match then you are going to jail. >> Okay. But I already had paid for. I don't know if the lady took took some of the stuff off my >> At that point a female officer arrived and a search was conducted on the woman revealing another issue from inside her pocket. >> You couldn't even just take the $38. knew she had that too. You could smell it from >> I can smell it, but still it's nice. >> So, you're also going to catch a misdemeanor marijuana charge. Okay. >> This is the receipt for >> this original seat that the stuff that she paid for. >> That she paid for. All right. >> This is like >> $20. I'm going put this back in her pocket. >> Will you put all this back in there, too? >> You already? >> No, I have not yet. Uh, do you have a car outside? So, check it out. When you have property like this that the jail won't take. Okay. for it cuz you're taking your >> Okay. Well, I'm taking this to the property room and logging in for safety. Okay. You don't have an ID. You don't get your shoes back out of the property room. >> Do you want your money in your pocket or do you want this to the property? Okay. >> Last time I stole my money. >> What's your last name? >> She was ultimately charged with misdemeanor shoplifting, obstruction, and marijuana possession. Trying to argue, interrupt, and deflect responsibility only made the situation worse when clear evidence exists. Staying calm, cooperative, and honest is often the only way to avoid turning a small mistake into serious consequences. Worse, the next woman handled the situation like a seasoned professional thief. >> Okay, I'm going I don't have nothing. >> You have found the receipt. He already told me that I was trespassing. He already told me that I was trespassing. I don't know why. On August 14th, 2025, police received a report of a theft and the suspect was believed to be a woman who skipcanned several items. Throughout the process, the woman acted normal. Even when a loss prevention employee pretended to assist her, she had no intention of stopping. Immediately after finishing her actions, she attempted to leave, but was stopped as the store manager took control of the cart and instructed her to follow for further investigation. However, her arrogance did not stop even when police arrived at the scene. >> So, she she has stuff on her. >> Hold on. >> Ma'am, you're not free TO GO. LISTEN, >> I DON'T HAVE DON'T DO IT. >> I DON'T TOUCH ME. I GOT DON'T TOUCH ME. Got one. >> I DON'T HAVE NOTHING. I DON'T HAVE ANYTHING. I don't have nothing. >> GET OFF ME. GET OFF ME, MAN. >> I don't have nothing. I don't have anything. I don't have nothing. MY >> [ __ ] right. I got it. >> I DON'T HAVE ANYTHING. I don't have anything. I don't have anything. >> Don't touch me. >> 23. She will be in a moment. >> The woman believed that since the items were recovered, her theft failed and she was innocent. Even using the fact that she paid for a few items to justify herself. >> This is all of MY STUFF. I HAD my money in my hand. I paid for my stuff already. >> They didn't even let me take our >> touch. >> Okay. I don't have >> Okay, sir. I don't have anything. >> I just want to pay for all my stuff. >> I went to Don't touch. Don't touch me. Don't touch me. >> Okay, ma'am. This is all my stuff right here. I went I was paying for my stuff. It hit me. He touched me >> at a rolling level. The entire parking lot doesn't have to see and look at you. What's going on? I will listen to what you're saying, but lower your voice. You're trying to do it. >> Okay. I WENT TO GET SOME TANK SO THAT I could get on the bus. That's all of my stuff that I was purchasing. >> She acted like a victim and only cared about her belongings. While inside the loss prevention office, staff had already clearly pointed out her actions during the shopping. >> Yeah, she came with two tiny >> to return it. >> Was it already in her bag or she come with a bag? >> She came with a bag. >> Okay. >> And then um I asked her the receipt. I said she didn't have a receipt. And then I say, "I need your ID to return it." And she said, here. She showed me on her wallet. I said, "Take it out." >> And she refused to take the um the ID out >> and then she just walk away. >> And then right after I was, you know, following her. She went to electronics. >> Mhm. >> And I saw she just grabbed, you know, the >> chargers, >> the chargers. I wasn't sure what was it. So she tried to to put like two at the same time. When she saw me, one of them is dropped >> and she just pick it up. And then I I call the AP and I say I'm going on lunch. Keep an eye out on her. When I get back, she was still on the stuff and she, you know, bagged pretty much everything. >> She put the stuff on the bag. She >> She paid for only two item. >> She only paid for two items. >> She paid for two item. >> And then um I told them, you know, she needs to show the receipt before she leave. And she said, "Oh, I pay on my credit card. I don't have the receipt." And she said, "I'm not showing the receipt." Okay. You're going to have him upload the videos. >> Yeah. >> Did she She paid for something. >> Did she pay for two items? >> Yeah, she paid for two. >> Two items. >> Returning to the woman, she once again denied her previous actions as if she believed the police had just arrived and knew nothing. Let's see how she reacted when her actions were exposed. >> Oh. >> So, you said you were trying to return everything? >> No, I was trying to return I was trying to return my stuff. >> What is your stuff? all of that stuff, but I forgot my CDs was in a bag and I was trying to return the title and all and stuff. >> Okay. You were trying to return it. >> Yeah. >> Did you have a receipt or anything? >> No, I didn't have a receipt. That stuff's been done in my cabinet for a very long time. It still happens to >> So, if there's a video that shows otherwise, >> this stuff, you're right. This stuff is This stuff is yours. >> Yes, this stuff is mine. >> It's all the other stuff. What other stuff? >> The stuff that you were not scanning when you were acting like you were scanning it on the camera. >> They didn't I didn't I didn't walk out the store with anything. I >> You walk out the store with everything. >> No, no, no. I used my car. No, I didn't walk out the store with anything. >> And that's my stuff. I have one receipt. I should have multiple receipts in my thing. >> Hey, Miss Beverly, you said that's your stuff. >> If you can't find the receipt, he already told me that I was trespassing. >> He already told me that I was trespassing. I don't know why. >> I was going back to get some money. >> Watch your foot cuz you're just yelling at me. >> She fully knew what she was doing and showed no remorse. Even on the way to the police station, speaking without a single hint of shame. >> And why did he let me go? I didn't do anything. >> I don't know. What did he say? Ask him. No, I'm not doing it. I I'm not doing it. I ain't doing it. I got plenty of money. Take care. Yeah, I hurt now. No, no, no. Arrest them, sir. I tried to spare them. Arrest them. Arrest all of them. Yeah. Release me out here. Don't threat me. Don't do nothing. Yeah. No. Release me out. Let me see where my lawyer at. No. Don't talk to my lawyer. Don't talk to my lawyer. >> She was ultimately charged with retail theft and resisting arrest. Ignoring clear evidence and refusing to take responsibility only makes the situation worse. Honesty and accountability early on can prevent far more serious consequences. Next, the woman only made her situation worse by piling on even MORE OFFENSES. GET OUT OF [screaming] TASER. TASER. TASER. >> You are under arrest. >> Why? >> That's a double question. >> On the 24th of March 2025, officers were dispatched after receiving reports of a woman with an active warrant. Upon arrival, she attempted to flee, throwing the entire situation into immediate chaos. >> HAND ON THE GROUND. GET OUT OF TASER. TASER. TASER. TASER. TASER. TASER. >> NO. NO. I GOT HER. I GOT >> I GOT HER. I GOT HER. >> Don't taser. Don't [screaming] taser. >> You are under arrest. >> Why? >> Why? >> For what? >> That's a double question. >> She's a driver. Yes. GO BACK TO THE CAR. Watch the car. >> For what? >> FOR WHAT? WHAT DID YOU JUST DO? >> WELL, I JUST CRASHED THE CAR. >> YEAH, because you're stupid. THAT'S WHY. >> WHAT ARE YOU looking to come at me for? You have warrants for your arrest, young lady. Number one. Number two, when you see a police officer, you don't flee. And I don't even know if you don't have a license. So that's why you're in handcuffs. Okay. >> Hold on. Let me double lock them. Get this one. >> Yeah, I did. >> All right. >> [sighs] >> Can you just stay on there for a second? >> Hey, stop yelling. >> We're going to shoot the car anyway. So, >> stop yelling. If you if you if Listen to me, I'll put you on the ground very fast. >> Why? >> Stop yelling. You're under arrest. You're not going to be yelling in public. You got me? >> Yeah. >> You be cool, we'll treat you cool. >> Officers successfully apprehended the suspect, but after everything she had done, she showed no remorse, prompting police to issue firm warnings about her behavior. >> No, no, no. >> No. No. What? >> No. >> Young lady, you're not going to dictate what happens. You understand? Okay, sir. >> You are not in control and you are not in charge. Okay. >> I know it was a little bit much, but it's all done. No hard feelings. Okay. But again, as long as you act like a young lady, an adult, they'll treat you as such. Okay. But the minute you get out of control, you're going to get treated like that. Okay. Zero tolerance. You understand me? >> Yes, sir. >> All right. I appreciate that. Thank you. Cuz you did some damage to this gentleman's nice truck. Okay. Well, frankly, you didn't need that >> zone. Away like you did, but that it is what it is. >> Getting arrested. >> Oh. >> Do you have a license? >> Yes, sir. >> Zone. >> I'm going to check. I just want to make sure. Let me get her give Central her information. >> In the ambulance. >> Check you out. >> Are we going to play this game now, too? She's perfectly fine until >> Yeah, I know. >> Star one Central. >> Go ahead and start EMS. Reference this female. She appears to be allergic to handcuffs. Sit up. Despite having an active warrant, the woman did not stop engaging in wrongdoing and everything became clear when officers searched her vehicle. Uh, >> did you see a black long sleeve shirt here that says USA and white letters on the front? >> C is looking for it cuz I guess she just did a theft at Walmart video. >> So, black long sleeve shirt. >> Okay. >> With USA and white letters. >> All right, sounds good. >> Oh, it's right here. Here, pick this up. So, I'm put it on my seat. It's like so we don't lose it. >> Okay. >> It was literally right here. >> But I'm sure >> here pick this up. So put it on the seat just like >> so we don't lose it. >> Okay. >> It was literally >> Hey, what did you see right there when you >> um I had blue some hills. >> Oh, you said you noticed that right away? >> Yeah, as soon as I open the door. Some shrooms you got here. N we're going to have this thing is going to be full. >> Full, >> bro. I haven't even I haven't opened up the big bag yet. She got pills. Um, >> I'm not going to take everything out yet. >> Yep. She's got a big bag. >> Yeah. Oh, snap. Dude, she is Hey, >> beautiful. Beautiful. Hey, this whole thing is sad. >> I'm just going to leave everything in this bag. >> We're taking the whole bag. >> We're just going to take the whole bag. >> The items were further identified as coming from multiple different stores, and everything became even clearer as each bag was opened one by one. >> She stealing from Ali's. >> Is there new stuff in there? >> Uhoh. >> She probably stole a shitload of stuff. >> There ain't no way she got money for all this. No, cuz she was seen walking in and out like numerous times. Freddy stole all this. >> Hey, are you taking photos of this? >> Cuz I don't know how you're going to remember all this cuz I'll put them back. Let me put it back in. Yeah. >> Hey, Sarge. >> Yes. >> They said there's a one more case for her, too. Or >> they're apparently working one now. And he sent me the photo. It's her. >> Do they know what day or no? Uh, it's uh, Fredus. >> Okay, >> you can call her. >> I'll call them. >> She's got a bunch of stuff in here, too. That >> But she was in the photo. She's wearing a a long sleeve black shirt >> that says USA and white letters. So, he was asking if that was what she was wearing, which she's not right now. >> There's a lot of Olli stuff in here, too. >> Yeah. I don't know what they saw with her coming and going. >> I'm not sure if she bought them or if they actually >> So, um, do that. Let me get this guy's information so I can give him his for the crash. In the end, the woman was charged with multiple serious offenses, including possession of cocaine, trafficking fentanyl, possession of marijuana, multiple counts of possessing controlled substances without a prescription, trafficking amphetamines, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting an officer without violence, driving with a suspended license, leaving the scene of a crash with property damage, and operating an unregistered vehicle. Continuing to engage in illegal behavior while already being wanted only deepens the consequences. And resisting or denying the truth will only make the situation far worse when the evidence inevitably catches up. Even worse, the woman only made things worse for herself. >> Julia, Julia, >> Julia, stop. >> Julia, stop. Relax. >> Julia, take a breath. >> I don't have to get off me. On July 28th, 2024, officers received a report from a Ross store about a woman who refused to leave despite being asked. Upon arrival, employees provided a brief account of the situation. >> She's been here a few times and we kicked her out, >> but right now we tried. She's like, "You're being um discriminatory." >> Why is she saying that she black or something? >> No, she's not. >> Okay. Uh so you've told her to leave. >> Yeah, I have. >> Okay. >> And she's just like, "No." And I was like, "Are we waiting for someone?" And I was like, >> "How about let's just let's just grab onto her, have her ID her, and then we'll trespass her." >> Okay, that's fine. Cuz we did see some stuff that was in her purse, but we don't know if it's hers or not. >> Is it from your store, do you think? Or >> we don't I think so, cuz she came in here with an empty bag. >> Okay. >> And now that bag's not empty anymore. >> She also did have a ton of stuff in her car. And when we approached her doors, we noticed that like Yeah. >> Do you want her Do you just want her gone? Do what? out of the store. >> Do you want me to try to trespass her or just be like, "Get out of here." >> Just Yeah. Get out of here. >> Okay. Do So you And I I just want to make sure I understand. Do you want us to go through like the official trespass process? >> No. >> Oh, cool. All right. We'll scare her a little bit. And just so you know, she gets one opportunity. So, I'm going to say get your stuff and go. If she says no, if she does not start going immediately, she's going to go to jail. Just so you know. Uh, okay. Cool. Thanks, man. I'll be with you if I need anything from you. You can kind of just point me in her direction. Immediately after the officers approached the female suspect. Despite their presence, she appeared fairly calm yet extremely evasive. >> How's it going? >> Oh, I'm all right. How are you? >> All right. They want you to to get going. >> Okay. That's not mine anyways. >> So, what's in here? Do you want to show me what you have in there? Just make sure you don't have any rough stuff. >> Oh, I'm okay. I don't have anything, though. >> Well, do do you mind showing me? Just Just so I can look. >> I kind of do. >> Okay. >> But I don't have anything. I just have other stuff that I wouldn't really want people to see like you. >> Oh, that's understandable. Sometimes we have some privacy. What's your first You have an ID with you? >> Um, I don't. >> Okay. What's your first name? >> Julia. >> Hi, Julia. Nice to meet you. >> Hi. Nice to meet you. >> What's your mail initial? Julia. Um, >> last name. >> Like the common spelling? >> Yes. >> Do you have any warrants? >> No. >> You just nervous? Made me nervous. >> That's all right. It happens. Uh, what's your phone number for you? >> Um, I don't really have any problem. It's >> all right. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Just stand by here for one second, then we'll get you going. Okay. You here with anybody or just yourself? >> No, just myself. >> Okay. >> Well, Julia, if you don't if nothing's going on, we'll get you out of here and you'll be on your way and you can go on with your life. Okay. Does that sound like a plan? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. I really hope I don't have anything. I think I might miss >> control 5241. Can you run a name, please? >> Is your idea to Washington or Oregon? >> It's Oregon, but I think I might have um support Dave. I really hope we'll [laughter] check her out. 14. Thank you. >> Yeah. >> I'll let you know in just a second here. Okay. >> Okay. >> Hopefully not. >> Okay. I really hope not. I don't think so. >> What was Do you remember what you >> What's the date? >> 28th. >> 28th >> of July. >> Yeah. 28th of July. >> Okay. >> We'll see. I'll let you know. >> Do you know uh what the booking level is? >> Uh Julia, Julia. She casually attempted to walk away, prompting officers to immediately stop her. But moments later, she threw everything into chaos. >> Julia, stop. Julia, stop. Relax. >> No. No. Take a breath. I don't have any. Take a breath. No. No. Don't. Don't touch me. Don't touch me. Don't touch me. You're being put into handcuffs. >> No. No. Don't touch me. Don't touch me. Don't touch me. Don't touch me. Don't touch me. Don't touch me. Don't touch me. Don't touch me. Don't touch me. Don't touch me. >> Hey, let's lower. >> Don't touch me. Don't touch me. Don't touch me. On >> to the ground. >> No. Don't get off me. Get off of me now. >> Get off me now. >> Get off of me now. >> HEY, GET OFF OF ME. Get off of me now. Get off of me now. >> No. No. No. NO. >> NO. GET OFF OF ME. >> JULIA, send your arm out. >> Get off of me now. Oh, >> get off of me now. No. Get off of me now. Get off of me now. No. No. >> I got no [ __ ] >> Get out of me now. >> Here's what's going to happen. Julia, >> get out of me. >> We're going to put your hands behind your back, okay? >> And we're going to put you in handcuffs cuz you're under arrest. Officers successfully placed the woman in handcuffs, but it was far from over. Her mind appeared disoriented, revealing there was still another layer to uncover. >> Two, three, stand. >> Let's go this way. We're just going to walk right out the doors. Is there anything else we need to No, just the other stuff. Okay. >> I swallowed something. >> You what? >> I swallowed something. >> Okay. >> You swallowed what? My pills. >> Your pills. What kind of pills are they? So we know what to tell the medics if they got to come take care of you. >> Can you speak up? >> You can't speak up. I don't know what kind of pills you swallowed. Like Advil or you talking drugs? >> Huh? >> Xanax. Oh, she says she swallowed some Xanax. So, we'll probably need AMR. >> Just got to go right out this door. >> Say again. >> Shortly after, the woman was placed into the patrol car and during an internal discussion, officers discovered several items they suspected she had concealed during her shopping. >> Can you put your feet in? Scoot your butt up a little. Sit up on the chair. >> You got her. >> Yeah. Oh, hang out here. >> All right. Here. Do you want AC or anything? >> You want AC or heat? >> Which one? >> Yeah, probably. It's all good. >> So, she has a bunch of rush sitting here, I think. So, >> it'll at least be resisting an attempted theft at minimum. >> Oh my gosh. >> What' you say? ITA and theft. You always said ITA. >> No, at this point resisting. I'm assuming this is raw stuff. So attempted the >> Oh, got >> and it was a a theft and >> it was a theft and resisting was the warrant. >> And they're at yellow. They probably wouldn't have taken her. I was like, "Relax. They might not even take you." She just >> I'm going to close the door for a second. Okay. Are you doing all right now, ma'am? >> Okay. I saw you shake your head. Uh, what do I need to do? Um, >> uh, can you bring all this stuff in with the Ross tags? See if it's theirs. >> Yep. They know if I say I swallowed something, we don't have the staffing to sit on her at the hospital. So, it's like it is literally their car. She's happy because she's not going to go to court. >> She was ultimately charged with theft, resisting arrest, and criminal impersonation. Mistakes escalate when panic replaces cooperation, choosing honesty and compliance early can prevent a situation from spiraling into far more serious consequences. Next, this woman completely lost control of herself. And the chips came up to pay and you were like, "No, like you can't go. You need to leave." [screaming] >> Uhoh. >> We're looking for a girl police officer. Okay. >> On December 24th, 2024, officers approached a woman suspected of being involved in a theft at a 71. How do you spell that? >> Um, why do I got to give you my name? because we're investigating to see whether you are the person we're looking for. >> Around the same time, another officer arrived at the store where they had a clear account confirming the woman's presence there. >> You [snorts] call it a shoplifter? [music] >> Yes. Yes. Okay. I have the picture uh that I often >> Okay. What did she take? She took a bag of chips like the kettle chips that she's going to include on her and come up with some kind of food like >> Do you want to press charges? >> Um definitely want to trespass, but I think we pro I think if I asked my the owner my So good picture over here. This is from the other day, but this is the woman. And then the next um the next time uh she came in was well she came in just earlier when I called and then before that. It was yesterday and stole some things yesterday, but I wasn't yesterday. >> So when you just called a couple of minutes ago, she came in right before that and chopped up good. >> Yes. So she she was here to pay, but I wouldn't sell it to her. hopefully thinking that she would make it round. But um there was another customer that I was trying to help. She said she was on a bike going south. >> So she came in and got like the noodles and the chips came up to pay and you were like no like you can't >> too much like you need to leave and then did she just walk out with the stuff? >> I um are you able to you can take care of him but then can you get me like a receipt for those two things? >> Um yeah. And I asked you to spell your name for me. >> M I K A. >> Okay. M I K A. >> Can you continue, please? >> I >> Okay. And last name is H I T L E R. >> Mhm. Okay. Do you have a middle initial? >> The woman showed no concern for what was happening. Even continuing to eat as if the situation wasn't becoming more serious. >> Why would I not? Oh, because my birthday because I tried to tell you that because I was given a like that's what I'm trying to tell you. >> Sure. >> Are like are you even going to give I'm sorry to be disrespectful. Are you going to give a >> Yeah, absolutely. >> Well, my birthday because the people that had me were pieces of [ __ ] >> Okay. Well, I'm sorry. >> So, I'm just trying to learn my birthday. I'm sorry for the people that are, but what's your actual date of birth? >> Literally just told you that hand. So >> So you're going to failure to identify? It's going to be a charge. I don't want you to have a charge. >> Okay. You know what we can go ahead and do is hop off the bike. >> What the Hold on. Wait. I'm not I'm not failing to do anything. >> Yeah, but you're being detained for shoplifting right now. >> What? >> You're being detained. You're not under arrest. I asked you and you didn't want to. >> Yes, I did. And I gave you my birthday. >> What's your birthday? Your first name. M I K. >> I did spell it. M I K A Y L A Hitler. H I T L E R. I didn't do anything wrong initial. >> And he just put me in cuffs. >> She thought she was only being detained for giving a false name. But she panicked when things didn't go her way. Even going as far as verbally lashing out at the officers. >> I'll hold ON TO YOU. [laughter] >> PLEASE HELP ME. >> IN A MINUTE. You're going to get another. >> I know. I WANT TO GO. I WANT TO GO. >> YOU'RE GOING TO GET >> I WANT TO GO. >> I'M GOING TO GET A THIRD CHARGE. >> I WANT TO GO. >> You ugly piece of [ __ ] >> I'll add that to it. >> Good. You're going to jail. You Oh. >> Oh, yes. You're a pedophile. I am. >> The woman was ultimately charged with petty theft, providing false identification, and threatening a law enforcement officer. Trying to deceive authorities and avoid responsibility only made the situation worse as dishonesty and aggression quickly escalated a minor offense into far more serious consequences. Next, the focus shifted to the scammer who saw himself as the victim. >> So, I went back in the office. They told me basically I had to call when fraud was open. Um I called fraud basically they told me that >> as right now you are under arrest. Okay. For check fraud. Okay. Basically the checks that you deposited supposedly that they're saying is are were bad checks back in February. >> On April 1st, 2024, police received a call from a bank reporting a man attempting to withdraw a large amount of money even though he had already withdrawn $11,000 from another bank earlier. This immediately raised multiple suspicions. Here's what unfolded when officers arrived at the scene. >> How you doing, sir? >> Stand up. >> Your finger. Show me. We're just detained. >> So, you're detained right now. We got a call that it might be a possible fraud for a certain amount. >> That's why I literally came in here. I've been coming uh you guys office like a few days. >> Yeah, we're just trying to investigate. >> Just step out real quick. >> All right. No weapons, right? >> No, I'm good, bro. >> So, you said you said that you were coming in here to find out about the fraud. >> Yeah, I've been calling these guys for weeks. It's been like >> I don't know a few. So, I haven't even used these accounts in months. >> Okay. >> I don't even I don't even have a point cuz I have other uh business accounts and I haven't I've had them for like years. >> Okay. >> And then I got like a notice. Oh, sorry. I tried to log in online. I couldn't log in online. I called over the phone. Um they basically told me I had to come in and like pay some fees. I came in. >> Let's um let's >> Yeah, let's let's walk back here. So, this your wallet right here. Yeah. >> Your ID in here? But he has Oh, you got it. All right. >> Immediately after that, the man continued explaining his story, but even his own statements contained vague and inconsistent details. >> Accounts with these guys that I've had for a long time. Um, I tried to log in online one day. They wouldn't let me log in. Um, eventually I found out there were just some fees that like cuz it was just old accounts. Yeah. >> And they asked me to come pay the fees. I wouldn't pay the fees. They told me everything was fine. I got a few text messages saying like basically I use his cards basically. And um I didn't but I had called and they told me basically the fraud department was closed. Um so I went back in the office. They told me basically I had to call my fraud was open. Um I called fraud. Basically they told me that I had to come back in here cuz they don't um they they basically couldn't help me over the phone. And so I'm here now. Um I don't know even what it counts is even regards to they won't even tell me what accounts are. >> Okay. So you open the accounts and you haven't used it for years. You're saying that >> it depends on what account like some accounts now for months. >> Okay. So for months and you got some notifications that you got possible fraud with the accounts and now you coming in here because you had some fees related to some of the accounts. >> Well, no, I already paid the fees. >> Okay. So, you paid the fees. So, you were just So, what were you doing in here to find out about the fraud? >> Fraud. Yeah. >> Okay. >> See what they think is fraud or whatever. >> Okay. >> Immediately after that, the man continued explaining his story, but even his own statements contained vague and inconsistent details. several times he went to the South Tampa location to try and figure out like the fees. I guess he said it was fees that he had certain accounts opened up. >> No, so he deposited stolen checks that were that they were I mean they're easily stolen. Uh he doesn't he's not a trustee for the trust account that he presented these trusts and he like filed a bogus filing on Sunbiz. So I I've been working with the US Postal Investigators cuz he stole several checks. Um so but I I called him. I spoke to his mother. I told him, "You owe us 29 grand and we're going to file against you and don't ever come back to GTE." Then he came and he opened new accounts. So we want him trespassed and we want our money like he he committed fraud for GTE. So >> do you guys have a a case open with with the police department or anything? Where did you deposit the checks? Which location? I >> think it might be South Tampa. >> South Tampa. And here >> in this in this location. >> Yes. >> So the amount that was So how much was the check that was that was done here in this location? >> Uh $29,7391. >> That was what he deposited here or with Junior? >> Yep. >> Okay. Cuz you said something about South Tampa. Was it all here at this location? The suspect remained unaware that his actions had already been detected. When officers mentioned the $11,000, it immediately left him visibly confused and unsettled. >> 11,000 in this location. >> So, they're at $11,000 from here, $29,000 from somewhere south. There's no open investigation anywhere. >> Okay. >> It was just through the postal >> investigative unit or something that through the post office. >> Okay. >> So, we have 11,000 here of fraud. Okay. >> So, can you hang off that? >> You guys think I stole $11,000? >> Do you deposit $1,000 check here? >> I haven't deposited a check in. >> I don't even know like >> happened in February 2nd. >> See, I mean Feb, I don't know what. >> I get you. We'll make sure. Hold on. Huh? >> Yeah, we're at 17. We have we have a picture of him. The pause check. >> He was unable to deny anything, the police said. Seeing his confusion and growing panic, the officers began to calmly explain the situation to him in detail. >> Transporting or somebody else transporting. >> Okay. >> So, you guys think the are the positive fraud. >> So, as of right now, >> as as of right now, you are under arrest. Okay. For check fraud. Okay. Basically, with the checks that you deposited supposedly that they're saying is are were bad checks back in February. >> One here, one down in South Tampa. They put money in your account that was not technically yours. >> So, they have video of you actually depositing the check. >> Yeah. >> And the checks are bad. >> Checks are bad. >> Good. >> But I mean, that's back in February. What was >> Yeah. >> with the check. They were they they money they got deposited in there wasn't was was bad. So like they could they actually out of money. So they actually down 40,000. I don't know where you got those checks from but [laughter] >> those are from my business. So I go >> Yeah. So they were bad checks. >> Whatever whatever whatever account those checks were written off of to you was a bad account or it was insufficient funds or whatever. So agree. >> Okay. >> Yeah. I'll um once we get to the car >> once we get to the car I'll I'll read it. >> As for right now they are the victim. I mean >> yeah the bank is >> okay >> since they lost money. I mean >> if you receive money that you not supposed to have a team. >> In the end he was then formally placed under arrest on charges related to check fraud and grand theft. Even worse, the women showed no sense of guilt for being caught. >> I I don't >> I'm going to tell you again. Step out of the car. Okay, step out of the car. >> Get out of the car. Get out of the car. Well, I'm going to Tok for >> for retail theft. I think we've been over this multiple times. >> On September 5th, 2025, police received an emergency call from a sporting store reporting an ongoing theft where two women accompanied by a minor concealed multiple items and left without paying. Upon contact, both showed difficulty cooperating and denied everything. >> No women. Hold on. I ain't catching her for no. >> I got you. >> I ain't got [ __ ] My baby. I ain't >> I get it. How old's that little guy? >> 60. He didn't have school today, huh? What you looking for, dear? >> My keys. >> Your keys? Yeah. >> Not in the ignition. >> No, this is not your car. >> Oh, okay. My husband. >> Okay. Do me a favor. Stop moving. >> Yeah. We should stop doing that. >> Yeah. You don't need your keys right now. Not until you get home. Whose car is this? >> I'm going. >> Did they take anything or? >> Yeah. Yeah. Okay. >> Yeah. So, that black that big black bag she has, that is full of stuff. >> It's full of stuff. >> Yeah. She did not walk in with that bag. That's why we when we verified that she didn't have the bag. That's when we >> Do you guys know what all she did with that? >> We we didn't see her actually concealed. We just saw her with the bag full of merchandise. We checked camera to see if she walked in with it. It's She didn't walk in with it. So, she know we know she got it here. >> Yeah. >> So, that guy in that red hat, he's walking towards over there. Not sure if they're >> he was in here carrying around a bunch of shoes. He were watching him too. The guy in the red hat. >> Did he take anything or >> We don't think he took anything. He gave us everything back. There's two of them, right? Two black females. >> There's two black females. Yeah. >> There's one like a denim jacket and then uh that one. So, a black bag did it. Is it Nike or anything like that's it won't be branded or anything? It's like built almost like has like pattern and it has stuff inside it. You saw them put stuff inside? >> Yes, we saw them put stuff inside it. We just don't know exactly what it was. I know it's most likely 19. >> And that bag was stolen as well. >> The bag was stolen as well. Yeah. >> I'll be right back. So, the employees account directly contradicted the woman's denial and officers immediately pressed her on this. You >> guys got receipt? You got receipts for me? >> No, I don't have no receipts. >> You got nothing. There's no merchandise in this car. >> You going to let me go? I'll be honest. >> Come be honest with me. >> I I got merchandise. Can you please let me go? I got my baby in me. I do got some merchandise. >> I brought some stuff in her though. >> Okay. >> I had brought the outfit in there and I had took the outfit in the bag. >> He's doing something, man. I got to make sure. >> We ain't got no black and white one was mine. Okay. So, this is You do not take this bag, right? You took the bag inside. >> Yeah. He's trying to say I took the bag, but I do take >> Okay. You mind if you I'm good if I look in here? >> Yeah. Go ahead. >> I'm going put it right on my car. >> Off in there. One is mine. >> Is there anything else in there? >> No, sir. >> Nothing. >> I promise. >> Okay. >> The woman's admission showed no sign of remorse while a man in the distance repeatedly attempted to interfere, prompting officers to issue a warning. >> Do you know this guy? Go back. >> Yeah, I just told him. >> Stay back there. >> Stay back there. This guy me. No, you won't. You'll get off the scene. Go back. Go back there. Or go to jail then. Either way, it's fine with me. >> You're just getting too close, man. It's all right. It's >> I understand. You're just getting too close to what we're doing here. >> Hey, he ain't got nothing on him. That's my brother. >> I know. But I need him to stay back. We're >> just step over there so they can >> I know. I know. It's fine. We're not saying you did anything. I just need you to stay back. >> I just need you to stay off the scene. All I need you is stay away. >> How you going to say she was acting as me if we was by >> I'm still trying to We're still trying to investigate all this though. I just showed up. >> Hey, he's trying to start some [ __ ] now. HE JUST WALKED TOWARDS YOU. THAT'S STARTING [ __ ] Get the back. Why is he >> Exactly. It just we're not getting anything back. You got you got a credit card or anything? I just got to confirm it's you. The woman became extremely frustrated as she realized she could not leave after her criminal actions. And once officers successfully got her out of the car, they proceeded to detain her. >> Man, I ain't even lied about my [ __ ] name. I just gave you my name and my birthday and told you the truth to get handcuffed is crazy. >> Who what you talking about? >> I don't [ __ ] know my baby is crying. He ain't never gave him my [ __ ] name and my birthday. He told the [ __ ] truth. You're a big boy. >> What the [ __ ] >> So, listen. >> I appreciate you being cooperative with me. Your truck is over $400. That's a felony. >> I know it is over here. >> So, you've done this before, right? >> Yeah. I'm being honest with you, though. I can get a citation. >> I understand that. And I I appreciate you being honest with me. You understand the severity of this, but I got a couple more things. You saw me turn my lights on. I saw you going out. You didn't stop >> because I was trying to park and my baby and I and I was trying to figure I was trying to figure out to call somebody for my baby cuz I knew I had these wounds. I wasn't going to run. If I was going to run, I would have just sped off. I wasn't running. >> When When are they on spot? You know, >> Glen Corbin is there is Glen Corbin and Fairview Heights >> in Fairview Heights. >> Yeah. Yeah. These two out here in Illinois. >> You got any other tattoos? >> Where? >> So, I'm trying to confirm you got >> Yeah, they on my arm. >> Okay. Nothing else on your You got the one that >> Yeah, there's one right here. It just said my baby name. >> Okay. >> So, one suspect was successfully taken into custody. And naturally, the second woman could not avoid the same outcome with her resistance clearly evident from the very beginning. >> I'm stepping off the car. I don't tell you again. Step out of the car. Okay. Step out of the car. >> Okay. Get out of the car. God, man. You hear what we're saying to you? >> You've been Yeah. Go ahead and sue us. >> I am. snatching you out the car like that. >> As you to get out of the car, >> as you twice, get out of the car. Whoa. >> You got anything on you? >> Pick my [ __ ] up. >> What you saying to us, man? >> This is mine. This I I have nothing in my bag. I did. You see me go in there and grab anything? Touch anything? No, you do not. I have nothing. >> Got a second one. >> Exactly. I'm sewing the out of them. I I ain't got to say nothing. >> Just make it easier on yourself, please. >> No, cuz y'all doing too much. >> We are not doing anything. >> Oh my god, y'all. Y'all straight doing too much. >> The drama did not end there, as what had just happened made the man increasingly aggressive, and his repeated movements of putting his hands into his pockets raised suspicion, prompting officers to warn him as well. Big to her. We going to get real active with this. >> I think she was stealing. >> We f to give I don't give a what's going on. Y'all do anything. That's fine. >> We thought she was uh involved, too. >> She was. >> In the end, the suspects were charged with retail theft, resisting arrest, and obstructing justice. Attempting theft, denying it, resisting arrest, or interfering escalates danger, and ensures legal consequences. Cooperating early minimizes risk and protects everyone involved. In the next case, we moved on to a gift card theft committed by individuals who were equally foolish. >> Oh, I got hype on my right. We're going to jail too now. WANT TO THROW glasses around in water? >> Too tight, ma'am. >> They've been tooing tight. >> On the 25th of July, 2024, police responded to a call from a store manager reporting that individuals were using his stolen credit cards inside his store.
