No. Please, please, please. No. No. No. Please. Please. I'm really sorry. >> I understand that you're sorry. >> I'm not from this country. I'm not going to be staying here. >> Hey, please. Please don't do this. >> Don't resist. It's not going to go well for you. >> Why? >> Have you ever done this before? It's going to be going to [music] you. >> Illegal immigrants are already living on the edge of the law. Yet, some push further by committing additional crimes like theft when police step in and the outcome is far from what they had hoped. These are the moments captured in when illegal immigrant shoplifterss get caught and deported on the spot. Welcome to This is Law, a channel that takes you inside real encounters with law enforcement. Like and subscribe to support us for more videos to come. Starting with this woman. No ID, no job, only theft. So she said, "Yeah, I put them in my um bag and then I walked out with my friend and that's when they um corrected me. Um she didn't intend to pay for her for payment." On February 6th, 2025, police received a call from Macy's reporting a young woman who calmly entered the accessories section, glanced around, and quietly slipped two pairs of designer sunglasses into her bag before trying to leave unnoticed. Upon arriving, officers found her in the loss prevention office. Okay. Okay. All right. So, she came in here. Did um she got her with anybody else? Okay. I came here with another girl, but she walked. >> Or anything of her. >> The woman communicated in Spanish and admitted to her actions. Continuing her cooperation, officers also asked her about the reasons behind her misconduct. >> Okay. Um, this is opportunity to tell me why. Why was she stealing him? What was what was her No All right. So, she said, "Yeah, I put them in my um bag and then I walked out with my friend and that's when they um grabbed me." She didn't intend to pay her rent for payment. >> Okay. All right. Is there anything else she wants to tell us about this that she hasn't already that now has the opportunity to do it? And just confirm she is stealing the um sunglasses. Yeah. >> Yes. >> All right. Um, ask if she's ever been arrested before. >> First time. >> According to the report, the woman was 21 years old, originally from Venezuela, an age when finding work and earning money would normally be possible. The real reason she couldn't however was that she had entered the country illegally. >> Uh what was her she's from Venezuela there city or >> so she's so she's at large. She's from another country. How long has she been here in the United States? I hear in 12 days. >> Okay. So I hear that date. >> Okay. So she crossed the order when they seen her. >> Does she know she had a dis? >> Uh >> oh. You say that. Did they ever lock her up or did she have any kind of >> Yeah, cuz she said she turned herself in. >> So a year, one month and one day she crossed >> and Okay. All right. So, she's in South Florida. She has no place to live. She has no job. She says she crossed illegally a year a year ago and she's committed foul theft. That's the facts. Yeah. >> We know them. >> Yep. And >> she is 21, correct? >> Mhm. >> Identifying the woman became a major obstacle for officers. They proceeded to search her, documenting her tattoos and fingerprints to replace the ID she didn't have. if you can stay or send back and guess in this case I'll take her be more wellc >> [clears throat] >> All right, that's it. Let me take a picture of her. >> I'm just going to put this in her pocket. Was that cool? >> Yeah, that's fine. >> She was charged with petty theft. Lacking proper documents doesn't justify breaking the law. When people choose theft as a shortcut, they only trap themselves in deeper consequences. In the next case, this woman shamelessly thought begging could undo 7 hours of theft. It'll be well over 500, I'm sure. >> No, it will be more. >> You're right. >> Um, >> hey, please, please don't do this. >> Don't resist. It's not going to go well for you. >> Why? >> On May 1st, 2025, police responded to a call from Target about a woman suspected of shoplifting after she had wandered through the store for 7 hours, stuffing three reusable bags with merchandise. When officers arrived, the woman was escorted to the loss prevention office. This was what happened next. >> So, this is Annayia. This is the info she gave me. Um, she said she does not have an ID on her. She's been in the store about 7 hours or so. She said she's waiting for someone to pick her up. She's visiting here. >> Okay. >> Um, she said she doesn't live here. She's from India. She's with family. They're coming to pick her up still a few times. Um, so basically she's been in the store. We've been watching for at least 4 hours. She's taken a ton of merchandise, different kinds. We're getting a total right now for you. It'll be well over 500, I'm sure. >> No, it would be more. >> You're right. >> Um, and she put them all into big three reusable bags. And then she kept getting really close to the door. She'd stand there. She'd send her phone about three times she did that. And then she came back in the store, kept shopping, and then eventually we just stopped her because she passed the first set of doors, went into the vestibule, stopped her in the vestibule, brought her back here. She's saying that she was still planning to pay for it. Um, >> okay. What do you guys want done? >> We're a prosecute and trespass. The woman fully admitted what she had done. Yet, despite her actions, she showed no shame and believed she could still change the outcome if she begged. >> Let me just pay for it in order. >> That's That's not happening. So, you don't have an ID on you or anything like that? >> No. >> No driver's license? >> No. No. I don't drive here. Also, >> so you don't have any sort of Illinois ID, anything like that? >> I'm not from this country. >> Okay. Okay. Well, there's a lot of people who aren't from this country but still have stuff. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Do you have a middle name? >> No. I can only do is I don't mind paying for it everything and then leaving. >> No, that's not happening. >> Can't do that. We lost that opportunity. >> Why can I just pay for it? >> We're way way way past that. >> You committed a felony. >> But if I'm paying for it, what is the harm? >> It would have been fine if you didn't leave, right? You would have had that opportunity to pay. because you left the store at at that point you chose to not pay for it and we can't go back. That already happened. You can go to Walmart or Meyer or Kohl's or you're going to have to find a different store to shop. >> You don't have to fill this up. >> Well, >> but again, you made that decision. >> I'm going to try to run this and see if I can get it to come back. I'm going to step out of here cuz I know >> I'm a very nice guy. I promise. But this is my job. >> I'm afraid no record on file for last name of Lani first. I'll check online. You don't have to have like a town or anything, do you? >> Where do you live? India. >> Negative. >> It was another sign of the trouble ahead as this Indian woman had no information about her own ID. And even the reason she had come to this country remained completely vague. Who >> Who are you staying with right now? Where does your family live? >> Family is in India. >> How'd you get here? >> On the flight. >> On the flight? >> Yeah. >> So, you're here by yourself? Yeah. [clears throat] >> Okay. >> They let you fly over without a passport. >> Of course, I have one. >> You have a passport with you? It's on. How do I copy the passport and ro around? >> Okay, let's see your passport. >> I don't have a passport right now. >> So, okay. You flew here from India to America. >> Exactly. But the passport is not with me in this bag. Do >> you have a Do you have a picture of it? >> Listen, I don't want to get into any trouble. >> Yeah, we're we're it's too late for that, girl. Pull up your passport. >> No, but then what am I supposed to do? >> That's none of my business. I don't know. You shouldn't have been stealing stuff. >> I've not yet done anything. >> Oh, you have. Pull up your passport. >> For what? What do I do? >> Okay. So, you can pull up your passport now or we're going to take you back to the station and you can pull up your passport there. >> Please don't. I'm really >> It's really It's too late. Can you please just pull up your passport? >> He just You promised me that nothing is going to happen. >> I did not promise you. >> Of course, you said that nothing. You'll once we do this thing, you will leave. I No, I said as soon as we're done with our reporting, we'll try to get you out of here as soon as we can. >> Yeah. You said you did not. >> You won't be allowed to. We're not going to fight with him. We're not We're not going to fight with him. >> It's too late. >> So, what do you want me to do? >> I need you to pull up your passport. I need to see a valid identification for you. >> And then >> and then you will be going back to the station with us. I need to see your identification. >> Please don't take me. >> That's that's simply not going to happen. You don't get to have that choice anymore. You you made lots of poor choices today and now you have to pay for the >> but he said he's not going to put me in the station. >> Well, that's not He doesn't work for us. I don't know who this man is. >> So, I'm really sorry. I'm ready to pay for this. >> That's again, I understand you're sorry. I know you're ready to pay for it now, but you didn't want to pay for it then. So, I need you to give me your identification. >> I'm really sorry. Okay, please. >> The woman's remorse appeared entirely reluctant, as if in her mind everything could still be changed. a mindset that showed a clear disregard for the rules here. >> Listen, please don't please don't embarrass me, ma'am. >> I think your own choices are going to embarrass you. It has something to do with me. >> So, what do I have to do if I have to what do you want me to do? You >> will. >> I'm not taking anything. I'm ready to even pay for it. >> It's not does not work like that. I don't know why you keep saying the same thing over and over again. >> So, what do you want me to do? >> I just want you to be quiet for right now. >> I'm really sorry to bother [clears throat] you if it is. I'm really sorry. >> I understand that you're sorry. >> I'm not from this country. I'm not going to be staying here. >> Okay. How far? >> Okay. Are you allowed to steal things in India? >> No. I didn't think so. >> Okay. The minute he came, the minute the door opened, he came. I returned back. I said I was just waiting. >> I've not gone away. How would I even run with these bags? It's m humanly impossible. I don't mind paying for the merchandise. Okay, I'm I'm done talking to you because you just keep repeating the same things over and over again and I keep telling you that that's not an option. We can't do that. So, I'm not going to be acknowledging that anymore because I've already determined that we're not doing that. You're repeating the same thing over and over again and expecting a different response. It's not going to happen. >> One second. He promised me. >> You've already said that. We've already gone over that and it does not matter to me what he said. You still committed a crime regardless of what you >> realizing her excuses were losing their effect, she returned to using her foreign status as a shield, trying to justify herself. But soon enough she would get answers for everything. >> Sorry that you're from a different country but like you said you're not allowed to steal in India either. Most places do not really appreciate thieves. >> Of course you don't you if you walk out and if I if I walked out and I ran away yet I'm just coming. He came running. I was like what's happening? I was on a call. Where are these people? I don't mind paying for it. You can see the video. I don't mind paying for it and finishing it off. I need to take these articles for as gifting. I promise there won't be anything. It's over. I just need to pay and finish it. >> Oh, just kidding. [clears throat] >> What's the total amount? >> Or 13 before test. >> I don't mind paying that. >> Stop. >> Do you want me to honestly give you everything else or you? >> Um, no. I'll take that back with me because I'll have to do the complaints and everything that you're copying. Okay. >> All right. I'm going have you take your bag off and put it right here. >> Take the bag off and put it right there. I told you what's going to happen. Stand up. >> Nothing on you. >> I think so. >> Nothing on you. No guns, no knives, nothing like that. >> No, not just face me. >> Don't move. Just stay where you're at. >> She has a personal luggage, too. >> Yeah, it's an empty bag. >> Okay. So, she brought something into the store. That's an >> empty luggage. Trying to please. Hey, >> please. Please don't do this. >> Don't resist. It's not going to go well for you. Stop. >> But why? >> Just stop. We explained it to you. Okay. When you take things without permission, that's a crime. >> But what do I what do I do now? For how long is it going to be? >> Hang on. >> Huh? >> Okay. Just hang on. Okay. It's probably going to be one maybe 2 hours. Okay. It depends on how quick the paper process works. >> Please, I'm requesting you. >> Even after arriving at the police station, the woman shamelessly believed she had done well, despite stealing, showing no embarrassment as she clung to the same absurd excuse over and over again. >> The best thing to do would be not to steal in the first place. That would be the best thing to do. >> Of course, if I could have gone run away, it was a different thing. The minute the guy came back, I turned. He was like, "Target, target, security." I said, "What happened?" He's like, "You have to You've not paid." I said, "I don't mind paying for the items." >> But why did you walk through the doors then? >> Because I was on call with them. They said, "You >> You're going to walk past the last point of all the cash registers with the with the security things." >> No, if the security if it if the security bars over there, okay, I I know that if I pass that, it's going to beep. >> It only beeps if you have certain items. >> See, I don't And after that, the second door was there also. I didn't pass. Tell me with this heavy luggage I could have taken the things and put it in my bag also. The bane bag >> you you passed all of the points of >> not all of the points the first half point. >> No no no you passed all of the cash registers >> the cash registers were different and this is this side was there. >> So I'm trying to explain to I'm trying to explain something to you. So what we call the last pointal or the last point of final sale, right? If you pass if you take the cart full of the stuff. Okay. and which which is you had you had $1,300 worth of stuff and you push the cart past all of the po all of the places that you could have paid for it and then you start to leave. We have a problem. >> I know. I know. I understand. I don't mind paying for it right now. I'm going to have to do the procedure now. Get target stuff again online and do ask somebody to do it. It was the simplest thing for him to tell me that next time don't come to the store and tell him that listen pay for this and then leave. She was charged with felony retail theft and criminal trespassing. Her attempts to justify the crime only made her look more careless and disrespectful. Owning up to the truth from the start is the only way to avoid turning a bad decision into something far worse. Or even worse, these women even turned the incident into a violent struggle. >> Not me. [screaming] No. Not me. >> Resisting. This can go a lot easier. On June 24th, 2024, police were dispatched to JC. C Penney after reports that two suspects had been detained for shoplifting. Upon arriving at the scene, an employee stepped forward and explained the entire situation. >> So, they both selected stuff, took hangers off of stuff, hid the hangers throughout the store. Um, I was on top of them the whole time cuz it's slow, so it was easy. >> So, they're not here? >> No, they're in here right now. They're in the holding room. >> I tell you what was going on before this. >> Gotcha. Gotcha. >> Okay. >> So, I just wanted to do that before. >> How much? >> Uh, it was almost $500 together. >> Okay. >> I got a receipt over there for you guys. >> And one doesn't speak English that well, but the other girl does, and I also have somebody in there on our end that speaks English. >> Okay, perfect. >> Hi. Thank you. >> Hi. >> Do we have IDs on us? >> No. >> No. No IDs? >> No. >> Nothing. >> All right. I got to read this to you guys, okay? Before we talk about anything, just listen, okay? >> You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of law. Do you understand each of these rights? So, I've explained them to you. Both suspects spoke Spanish and only one of them had no knowledge of English. But they didn't realize that the professional police team was fully prepared to handle this situation. Okay. No. I'll say no. >> No, [music] I don't want to. >> She doesn't want to talk. So tempted. >> Okay. All right. I'll have you stand up over here. >> Yeah. Come on. >> No, you got to stand up. No, that's how it's We'll do this one at a time. >> Stand up. Stand up, too. >> Stand up. Stand up. Come on. Don't think this hard. Let her let her go. >> You stand up. >> Stand up or you're going to get a resisting charge. >> A resisting charge. Stand up. >> Stand up. >> Clearly, neither of the women was willing to cooperate, forcing the police to take a more assertive approach. But the women did not make it easy. Come here. >> Come on. >> Why? >> Stop. >> Stop. Come on. >> No. No. No. No. Stop. Why? [screaming] Why? Why you do this to me? Why? >> No. No. Please. No. Please. No. No. No. No. No. No. >> [screaming] >> Can you stop me? Please, please, please. [screaming] No. No. Please. [screaming] I got no police. Please >> stop. Stop. >> You got me. >> Sit down. Sit down now. >> You need to stop. You need to stop. >> Yeah. >> Stop resisting. >> The chaos escalated as both resisted, forcing the officers to separate them. Yet, the struggle didn't stop. The police had a very difficult time handcuffing the woman outside. >> Resisting. This can go a lot easier. Stop. If you're able to no FD, just additional units. No, no, no, no. Please. I'm not sure. I'm not cute. I'm not accused. I'm not accused. Sir, >> you were hurt. Yes, you still got stuff that you selected as well. Put your hand behind your back now. >> The suspect resisted simply to avoid being handcuffed, even though it was only a temporary detention for questioning, but her resistance immediately led to criminal charges. >> Put your hand behind your back. >> I know. Hello. >> Hold on for your hand. on my level. We b Sit down. >> Sit down. >> Yeah. Down. Down. >> Get up. >> No. >> Oh my god. 21 for one moment. >> Hang on. Where you taking her? >> Where you taking her? >> Cruiser. Where's your cruiser at? >> I don't give a >> Where's your cruiser at? It's on the east side. >> Where's your cruiser at? >> East side. Jess, >> take them both out or they're both going in the car. >> One moment. >> We'll be back with the rest of this. They're going to get secured. >> All right. violence. >> In the end, they were both charged with petty theft and resisting with violence. Failing to cooperate with law enforcement can turn a minor situation into serious legal trouble. Staying calm and compliant is the only way to protect yourself. Even more shocking, these undocumented individuals carried out the theft as a coordinated group. >> All of you Spanish. >> You have a number on your phone? >> Not with them. like she like that. >> You want to stand by it right now? >> On October 7th, 2024, police received a call from a Lululemon store reporting a group of men and women who had taken items from the display shelves and left without paying. When approached, the situation became even more complicated as none of them could speak English. >> Okay. What's going on? >> What's that? You speak any English? Little what language? >> What language you speak? >> Do you have ID? >> Driver's license? >> No. >> Do you have a driver's license? [music] >> Where's your ID? >> How'd you get here? >> Do you know what, ma'am? What language? >> How did you get here? Car. >> What do you speak? >> Where's your car? What do you speak? >> What's your main language? >> Spanish. >> Spanish. Okay. >> All Spanish. >> You have an Uber on your phone. >> Not with them. >> Can you get a little Spanish? >> Okay. >> Can you try and communicate? It's underneath this girl right now. But she's saying Spanish as her main language. I'm not getting any communications. The woman in the blue shirt claimed she was not with the other three, complicating the investigation. To handle the situation, a more experienced officer was quickly called in. Yet even then, the suspects continued to make the process difficult. >> Is she in route here? She's going to sus. Call her here. >> Sus. >> We need her here for um translation. >> 304 from 303. Are you available in translation? >> Thank you. I have no idea. You got anything in your pockets? >> No, I don't have nothing. >> Come here. Step up. >> Okay. You're talking to somebody who can translate, sir? >> No, he's my mom. >> Your mom? >> Yeah. She speaking Spruce Avenue. >> I'm going to have her spell your name. Lululemon seek. >> Okay. Can they stroke us or arm us? >> No. >> No. >> Security footage from the store showed that all four suspects had entered and exited together. And most importantly, the stolen items were hidden on their bodies, prompting the police to immediately conduct a search. >> She says she does have it on her. >> She does. She said that she has items. his information ID. >> I don't know. >> No, just this one right now. >> This is here. over there. Do you mind holding that >> per person? All from >> her. We'll go over here. We can put that stuff down here. >> Sorry. I'm just throwing this stuff. Trying to keep >> Shortly after the woman was taken in and further facts were revealed. She and the others were all undocumented immigrants and she was not actually Spanish. >> You speak Romanian. Romanian. Spell your last name. You're being detained. >> Not under arrest right now. >> You understand? >> Not under arrest. >> Walk with me over here. We'll get you in the back of my car. >> The woman was charged with multiple counts of retail theft, while the others were charged for assisting in the crime. Trying to commit theft while lacking proper identification and legal status [music] is bound to be uncovered. And attempting to deceive authorities only worsens the consequences. Next, watch as this Indian woman completely unravels. [music] >> You don't want to talk to him. >> Okay, that's okay. You don't have to talk to him. I'm not going to talk to him. But you're the one who chose to come in here and try and steal things. >> On January 15th, [music] 2025, officers rushed to Target after a report of a woman concealing over $700 in merchandise. Upon arrival, she was already bracing herself, ready to beg at the loss prevention office. Right now, you're not free to leave. Okay. For investigation, can you stand up for me? Your second for weapons. >> Stand up for me. >> Thank you. >> Do you have any weapons on you? Do me a favor. Just take a deep breath cuz we're going to chat. >> Has it been since you stopped her? >> Yeah. back. Yeah. >> Okay. Have a seat. >> Do me a favor. Take a big breath. As deep in as you can call in. >> You got to take a deep breath. One breath. Not hyperventilate. >> Cuz I got to be able to talk to you. And if I can't talk to you or if you're breathing like that, I can't talk to you. Okay. Do you speak English? >> Not very good. >> Not very good. What's your primary language? [laughter] >> What is it? Gujarati. Where is that from? >> India. >> India. >> The woman continued to appear anxious and hyperventilate, making it extremely difficult for officers to verify her identity. >> Okay. So, we're here. They called us saying you were shoplifting. Do you have any ID on you? A driver's license or anything like that? No. Do you have any medical issues? >> What medical issues do you have? >> High blood pressure. >> Do you need me to call the fire department for you right now? >> No. >> No. Okay. Is this normal for you when you get nervous? Okay. Have you ever had a license or anything like that? Is I I have >> What's that? I I I have like >> Okay. [music] >> Is it out of Washington or out of a different state? >> Okay. So, the name that I don't know if you gave them the name or where your name came from. It came back clear. No record. So, I'm going to be totally honest with you, okay? If you shoplifted and I can identify you, I'm not taking you to jail tonight. Okay? you'll get a [music] charge and you'll have to go to a court date. Does that make sense? If I can't identify you, meaning if you gave them a fake name or if dispatch just ran it wrong. >> Okay. Okay, that's okay. So, I'll just get the information from you and then we'll chat about why we're here. >> Strangely, she found the courage to commit the theft, yet hours later panicked at what lay before her, making the officer's job even more complicated. You got to speak a little bit slower and more quickly. You >> all Adam Robert. Mary Adam Robert. First of Mary Adam >> date of birth 0311 1999. >> David, has she been able to talk to whoever this is yet? >> Uh, no. Okay. Who is this calling? You don't want to talk to him? >> Okay, that's okay. You don't have to talk to him. I'm not going to talk to him. [crying] >> Okay, we're not going to We're not going to answer it. It's fine. >> It was Pamar. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Pamar, are you okay? Tell me what's going on. Are you saying you aren't going to do this again? [crying] >> Have you ever done this before? [crying] >> Yeah, she's a regular. >> Have you been able to apprehend her before? >> No, this is the first time that anyone's >> Officers tried to calm her down to continue the investigation, but they were certain that her actions behind the theft were entirely aimed at illegal resale. I already told you if if that is your name, I'm not taking you to jail tonight. Okay? So, I need you to try and relax a little bit cuz I can't get your side of the story if if you were not able to speak with me. >> So, what all were you going to try and sell? >> Out of the things that you took, what were you going to try and sell? You are obviously very scared right now and I don't know why, but you're the one who chose to come in here and try and steal things. So, for me, there's two options. Either send you something in the mail or book you into jail. So, if there's something else you would like to talk to me about, we're here for that. >> But I can't force you to tell me whatever's going on. At this point, nothing the woman said yielded any results, stalling the investigation, and the officers made their decision. >> Yeah, you throw it right away. Sounds good. Well, our cleaning crew will take care of it. >> Thank you. All right, we'll catch you later. All right, have a good one. Stay safe. Thanks. >> We'll follow you. >> I go back. >> Yeah, we're going to we're going to leave. >> Yeah. >> And then you're free to go. I go >> What's that? >> I go. >> Yeah. You're going to leave. We're not [snorts] taking you. We're just walking outside with you and then you can go. >> Go. Hello. Can you go alone? >> Sure. We'll walk a ways behind you. Yes. But we need to see you leave the property. >> Okay. Yep. Go ahead and we'll follow. >> Give you some time so you can look like you're walking out by yourself. Thank you. >> The woman was charged with theft shoplifting, [music] a gross misdemeanor under Washington law for merchandise valued at $721.75, and was issued a permanent ban from all Target stores. Even if one has the courage to commit theft, panic and lack of preparation only make the situation worse. Illegal actions not only lead to legal consequences, but also leave oneself vulnerable and exposed. Worse yet, these two illegal sisters saw their American dream fall apart completely. On June 25th, 2024, police responded to a shoplifting report at Burlington. The suspects, two [music] women, spoke no English. Officers approached one outside the car. She immediately exploited the language barrier to make things difficult for them. Okay. >> Okay. Oh, okay. Yeah, here in [music] I feel strong. The suspect was believed to be waiting in the parking lot for the other accomplice to come out so they could flee. And her constant requests to use her phone only raised further suspicion from the police. foreign. Oh, hey. >> [music] >> The device found on her person said it all. She wasn't there to shop. Indeed, reports revealed the suspect was part of an organized retail theft [music] ring targeting multiple stores that same day, and the second suspect was involved as well. Okay. Nine. Okay. Okay. Okay. This is to [music] over here in child from here. Yeah. I photo. At this point, each suspect was placed into the patrol car and they began to worry about their fate. fully aware that their earlier actions had now landed them in serious trouble. >> [music] >> In reality, one of the two suspects had given birth on US soil and was still living in the country illegally. Their management says they don't want to do anything. But she's already caused the scene two or three times at Dunkin Donut. >> We'll be able to ID and then if they call back and then we'll just write warrants. >> Yeah. >> So, got this. >> Right. She's going to She's going to send me some money now. So, it doesn't make sense how you buy clothes that you have no money. That's what I'm saying. >> I have money earlier. You came to get me for this [ __ ] with the lady. So, do me a favor. >> What I'm telling you is is that I know. >> Do me a favor. Do me a favor. I ain't come here for this and I don't have to explain to you. I'm dealing with this. >> What we'll do is we'll go to the store and we'll see if they want to press charges and we'll go from there and then you go to jail. So, I I'm just trying to >> I'm not trying to go to no jail. I'm trying to go home. I've been here too long. I'm exhausted. Okay. I'm tired of Florida. I don't live here and I ain't coming back. The woman's tension grew stronger and stronger, and even as the officers tried to calm her, it didn't seem to ease. >> Keep it up. Your borderline disorderly conduct, and I'll just arrest you for that. Okay, we're trying to resolve this. >> I'm trying to talk to him. You with me for one thing, and he coming with me for some other I'm trying to get home. I have a doctor's appointment and I have to You going to arrest me? I have a doctor's appointment and I have two. I have >> Ma'am, you're not under arrest. Place your hands behind your back. >> You know what? This don't make no sense. What more y'all going to do to me, ma'am? Place your hands behind your back. You >> see how bad my look is? >> Don't come here. >> My home like that. >> Take my bag right here. Take my bag. What the hell? >> 105. >> Take my bag. Take my bag. Cuz he don't know if I got the receipt on me or not. >> Disorderly conduct. >> You know what? >> Stay right there, man. Don't get up, please. Thank you. >> Get your hands off of me. I'm going to sit here. >> Her outburst led to a disorderly conduct charge. This was the third time she'd caused trouble at the airport. She resisted even when handcuffed and even made baseless accusations of racism. >> I don't believe you racist motherucking bastards, >> man. Race has nothing to do. >> You racist mother. If I was white, you would have let me go ahead here. You're racist. >> That's the best you can do. >> That's the best you can do. >> That's the best. >> You just want to with me cuz I'm black. >> No way. >> I didn't ask you to steal today. You son of a >> face and pick up another charge. >> Go to um the office and deal with this. Yeah. >> You holding me too hard. You racist son of a2. Clearly, she brought up the topic herself, and at that moment, only she was claiming racial discrimination. Even during the escort, her insults never stopped, filling the entire hallway. >> My arm, mother, you holding me too tight. He's holding me. Okay, but you got to be and you squeezing my finger. You tell him to stop squeezing my finger. >> Just stop resisting. >> You know what? Kiss my ass. And you keep your face. Keep squeezing me. You're holding me. >> I offered to try to help you. >> No. >> I don't want none of y'all. No, I can kiss my black ass. Keep pulling my arm. >> At the airport security office, the officers became the focus of her anger. Her insults continued relentlessly, and she even took more reckless actions that only added to her own charges. >> Let me go. What you going to talk to me now? You know what it man? piece of [ __ ] before I spit on your ass. Female officer hit me. Hit me. Hit me. Hit me. Hit me. >> That's another charge. >> So what? You trying to break my back, you piece of 289. >> That's why I spit on it. >> Look at I'm from New York. I come here. I don't care. I ain't going to be there. In the end, the woman was charged with trespassing, resisting arrest, and battery on law enforcement. Even a small act of shoplifting can escalate if one reacts with anger, insults, and defiance toward authorities, turning a minor incident into serious charges. In the next case, this woman tried to shop, but in a very different way. >> You don't put the items in. And if you were just doing that, why you you do it so secretly like that? >> Wait, can I top it? You know, you're actually baring. You're not supposed to be here. Come on. >> On May 17th, 2025, officers rushed to Walmart after reports of a woman concealing items in her purse. Caught in the act, she busily sifted through merchandise, unaware that she had been discovered. How are you? >> Hey, ma'am. So, right now, you're just getting detained for shoplifting. Okay. >> Oh, no. I'm buying stuff. >> Okay. So, right now you're just being detained. You're not arrested or anything. So, as of now, you are >> But I'm trying to buy >> Do what? >> I'm buying some stuff. >> Are you buying super glue? >> Yeah, I'm buying some stuff. >> In your purse? >> Yeah. Super glue. >> Rents. >> I was going to buy >> Okay. And when you're going to buy it, do you normally put items in your purse? >> Well, sometime they um like at that >> we're 10:26 right now. >> Okay. So, >> but I haven't walked out the store yet. I'm feeling vi. >> So, what I'm going to tell you right now is as against the law, you can't conceal items within your purse because that is part of statute. So, as I as I said, right now you right now you're detained. Yeah. With like a purse, like a like a a shopping bag that you buy from them. That's your purse. So, right now you're just detained. Okay. until we can see video footage and from there they want to press charges they can figure that out and you can talk with them about that. Okay. >> Can I talk? Can I talk to them because I I'll you know what I'm saying? Like >> we we'll review the videos. >> Okay. >> But I want to buy this stuff. >> She insisted she wasn't stealing, claiming she just hadn't paid yet. But concealing items in her purse was clearly wrong. And she even tried to justify her actions. But I'm saying like when you go to Kroger's and Publix, you can put stuff in a bag >> in in a in a dedicated shopping bag that has been bought by them. It's a recyclable bag. That's your purse that has all your other personal items in it. >> It ain't nothing ain't nothing. It's empty. Ain't nothing in there but my phone and my money >> with your personal items, right? So your purse, your little phone, and then everything else in there. So with the statute, it is concealing items >> in a bag. I went >> all right. We're going to go ahead and head over there so you can talk to him and everything. Okay. So, >> walk with us. >> At this point, the suspect was taken to the loss prevention office where staff clearly showed her everything on the screen. Yet, she still tried to twist the story. >> Um, so Miss is stating that, you know, obviously, hey, I'm going to buy these. Um, I was just putting them in my purse uh till I go to check out. Um, >> so it's probably here to dispel any kind of confusion as to why this is shoplifting and, um, if you'd like to press charges, ma'am. >> Yeah. So, um, did y'all get everything out of the >> Yeah, there's like a dozen items that were in the purse. >> So, I mean, you have a cart. So, the cart is what the what's, you know, let's be real. I mean, honestly, you have a cart. That's what the cart is for, not your purse. You don't put the items in your purse. And if you were just doing that, why you you do it so secretly like that? That's not how people shop and get their >> That's not secretly on right there on the island. >> Okay. Um well, yeah, I want to prosecute. So, we'll let the um the judge decide. That's fine. So, the judge may agree with you and the judge may say, "Hey, she was just putting it in her purse." >> Okay. But I'm saying I got I can pay for I was going to pay for the stuff. Like I wasn't going to walk out the store with this stuff. >> Okay. And you can tell the judge that. That's fine. >> But I'm telling you like I really don't I got my child outside. >> Is your child in the car, Jody? >> Yeah. Like I want to pay for the car. Can I just pay for it? >> Jody, which car is he in here? Is she in? Cuz we had a bigger issue now. Where's your What car? You said you were dropped off here. >> No, I had caught a ride. Is do you have a child outside, ma'am? >> Yeah. Yeah. With my ride. I don't know if they >> Your child's with your ride. >> Yeah. I I leave my child in a car by theirself. >> Okay. >> The management's decision had been made and the police were ready to act. Yet, the woman still refused to accept the truth, [music] lingering as if she could handle the situation on her own. >> Jerry, give me your stuff. >> What? >> Give me your stuff. Come on. I'm saying >> Jody, come on. >> Wait, can I talk? >> You know, you're actually barred from not supposed to be here. Come on. >> Okay, the next thing. >> Jody. >> Ma'am. Okay, but I'm trying to talk. Can I >> You don't need to talk to her. This is our business. >> Okay. Okay. >> You're barred for this location. Come on. >> Okay. >> Jody, come on. >> Stand up, please. >> Just ring those up and get a receipt. I won't >> this is there you you violated the the trespass. So that's on them. They they they take you for that. That's what I mean. >> I'm saying now I know. You know what I'm saying? Like what it look like, but I have the money to pay. >> Right. But you weren't supposed to be on the property to begin with. >> I thought they said um I was born from OK. Well, you stole from them, too. So, you're barred from them, too. I would assume >> got caught in both places. So, how >> come on? >> There's nothing else to talk about. >> I'm just trying to see how long. >> Come on, sweetheart. We'll tell you. >> We'll tell you how long it is. >> We have it in the system. >> We have it on the system. How long your body has? >> We'll just do this out here. That way, ain't nobody else around. Okay. >> So, will I get out tonight? >> Probably. During the walk to the patrol car, officers continuously informed her of what she was about to face. But by then, her worry for her fate had come far too late >> for criminal trespass. Yeah. >> Do you know how long? >> I mean, here in Athens, it's usually pretty quick. Like 24 hours or less. >> 24 hours. >> I mean, that's a day. >> I don't want to do a day. >> I don't want you to do a day either. >> I ain't going to get no bun when I get there. >> You should. You don't have any pockets, do you? Mm-m. >> Okay. >> You don't have anything on you that you don't want to take to the jail? >> H. >> So, what are they charging me with? >> Um, criminal trespass due to the barring and uh shoplifting. Obviously, I don't know how many counts that you have, whether it be a misdemeanor or a felony. I think it's up to like four. You have to shoplift like four or five times before it's a felony. >> It's not that many. >> Okay. So, it just be a misdemeanor shoplifting. >> Will you think I can buy this today? >> I should be able to. I don't know. The woman was charged with criminal trespassing and retail theft. By refusing to face the truth and trying to justify hiding items in her purse, she revealed a lesson. Excuses cannot erase wrongdoing, and denial only ensures harsher consequences. Even worse, this woman made her own charge heavier through her own anger. >> I ain't scared of y'all. Y'all want me to be scared? I ain't scared. I ain't double scared. >> I'm f to go. >> Oh, you're still here complaining. >> No, I'm going to go. We went on my sister. On July 2nd, 2023, police received a call from a grocery store reporting a woman causing a scene and she was even attempting to steal. When officers arrived, she was standing outside the store visibly agitated. Here's what happened next. >> I'm paying myself. I got three different transactions and that's all I was doing. Three different transaction. I'm paying for myself. Why the that I got to I got a mother amen to a Why I got to do that and I'm paying for my >> What do you What do you mean? That's all I'm doing. I got three different transactions. So I'm paying for my stuff and that's all I was doing. >> All right. Where's uh where's the stuff at? >> They had I think they put it to the suspended my my transaction and I'm paying for it. Don't worry about my ID. I just want my You know what? >> I can keep that [ __ ] >> Okay, listen. Listen. >> Don't worry about my ID. Don't worry about the mother thing. >> Okay, listen. >> What you don't make me mad >> and I want to hit somebody right now >> and I don't like that. No, I ain't going to hit the police. So, y'all ain't going to take me to jail. Stop kissing my ass on that thing. >> Transaction. >> Her tone and words did nothing to calm the situation. Even after corrections were made and the accusations were clearly explained, the woman acted as if nothing serious had happened. And she was even ready to create more trouble. >> A transaction. >> She didn't pay for her items. >> Right. >> I'm speaking to him. So, give me one second. Relax. >> Relax. Um, and so she stated to them that she was going to try to uh do >> one by one individual on the items, >> but she had the whole car full, ready to walk out. >> So manager just wants to not prosecute, but wants to go ahead and trespass her. Okay. >> So that's it. What is that? So for today, you're going to grab your ID, get your information, come back tomorrow. You're not you're not going to if you come back tomorrow, >> I'll come back when Perfectly. That's fine. >> And y'all not give my ID either. >> Okay. Well, now you're going to go to jail then for obstruction because you're not giving me your ID. Nope. Okay. Okay. So, you take me to jail. You go to jail. You want to go home? >> I'm going home. >> Then give me the ID. >> Stop playing games. >> Give me the ID or you go my hand. >> Stop playing games or you going to get my hand and I will give it to you. >> Okay. Just show your ID. >> Can you get the ID cuz I'm I'm ready. >> Give me a minute. Let me go my way. >> Even something as simple as getting her ID proved difficult. Showing just how disruptive she had been in the store. She even stalled, testing the officer's patience to the limit. >> Cuz I ain't going no jail. Okay. Give me your ID. >> Thank you, ma'am. Let me give me time. Can you give me a minute? >> Just give me just give me your name. It's a lot easier. Give me your name. >> I'm going give you my ID. >> You're about to go to jail. I'm not playing with you. Okay. You are going to go to jail if you keep playing with me cuz my patience is running very thin. >> Okay. So, give me your name or you got 2 minutes to give me the ID. >> Give me a minute. Let me find it. >> You got about 1 minute left. >> Well, you got to wait. >> Thank you. How hard was that? >> 43. I don't want to talk to you. >> I'm talking to you. >> I don't want to talk to you. >> I can go where the I want to go. >> At this point, while the officers were checking her ID, she still wouldn't let things settle. She made herself the center of attention, constantly venting her frustration. >> I'm good. I'm good. I'm good. The off you. I'm good. I ain't scared of y'all. Y'all want me to be scared. Okay. >> Give me my ID. >> This ain't this a case number. >> You could do >> Have a wonderful day. >> I don't need >> So, the woman was only charged with trespassing and could have left easily, but her disruptive behavior wouldn't let her stop. She lingered, continuing to broadcast her frustration from a distance. >> Have a good day. Bye-bye. 2 seconds. Bye. I'll get a statement from you and then uh she'll be trespassed. Okay. >> Okay. >> If she comes back anywhere here, she's going to go to jail. Okay. >> Bye-bye. >> So, I'm going to start driving and she gets locked up, man. She served the keys in the store and everything, man. She need to be locked up. >> No, trust me. She gives overund something dollars worth of merchandise, man. Oh, of course. >> Got in the guy's face and everything. >> She's still going on. You guys going to allow that? >> Give me Give me a second. Give me a second. >> If I was to do that, I've been locked up. >> Listen, there's a first amendment right. Freedom of speech. Okay. I think she's going to go to jail. She's still on the property. Her decision to linger ended up violating the very order she had just received. This was the result of her frustration, prompting the officers to take immediate action. Let's go. No. Come on. Come on. We told you to leave. You're still >> I'm going to go. >> Oh, you're still here complaining. >> No, I'm going to go. We went on my sister. I'm going to go to >> the car. Thank you. >> The woman was charged with trespassing and obstructing an officer. Frustration and deliberate defiance only make matters worse. Cooperating from the start, following police instructions, and leaving restricted areas can help avoid unnecessary legal trouble. Next, this woman went even further, acting like a victim. I'm tired. I've worked all day and I'll be game. But they're going to steal my stuff and I get in trouble for it. >> You concealing items in the bank. >> Why was I No, no, no, no, no. I don't No, no, no, no, no, no. >> On June 21st, 2023, police received a call from a shopping center reporting a woman suspected of concealing items. When officers approached, she immediately began speaking to them in a manner that made her appear to be the victim. I don't mind following the stuff that they took. >> Okay, come over here. >> No, I didn't do nothing wrong. I'm not going to start with anything. I want my belongings. They won't let me pay for my stuff without my belongings. They have my phone and stuff. That's not fair. Right here. Right. >> Right there. Have a seat right there where I'm pointing. If you look, sit down. What's your name? >> Ser. I can't sit on that. >> The woman was clearly in a highly unstable state of mind. Even as the officers tried to gather more information, she refused to cooperate and repeatedly demanded special treatment. >> I want a supervisor. Okay. What is uh your date of birth? >> I want a supervisor, please. >> Supervisor signed up. >> I don't care. I want one. You have to give me one. Okay. >> Yes, you do. You're treating me like a criminal, and that's not fair. >> Listen, if you just came to talk to us, we won't have to keep doing all this other stuff. >> Yeah. Yeah. Because you're going to listen to him regardless. >> Wanted to play the name. >> They're going to cancel. >> Look, I got all over me. Okay. I'm trying to buy some tampons. You would be upset, too. I'm I want a supervisor. You You have to give me one. You got body cams? >> Huh? >> Do you have body cams? >> Yeah. Right here. They're on. >> Okay. Just making sure. They They took my belongings up. That's They took my belongings and I've been asking out different haircut for an hour for my stuff back. Try again. Try again. What? I am. This is not even fair. Not even fair. This is not fair. My house just broke down and I'm not going to be treated like this for trying to buy stuff for it. I'm tired. I've worked all day and I'll be getting They're going to steal my stuff and I get in trouble for it. Nobody knows where it's at. So, they stole my stuff and I get in trouble for it. >> Nobody said you're in trouble right now. >> I feel humiliated. I feel disrespected. And I feel no. Okay, I'm sorry that I feel that way, but we have a job to do. So, >> no. And you guys should and you guys don't know. No, no, no. >> At this point, another officer spoke with the store manager. According to their account, her behavior had been highly suspicious, [music] even bizarre. >> Another manager here. >> Yeah, they just saw her fill up carts. Yeah. I haven't assumed everything. I mean, like I was thinking she took her phone like like selling cars without her knowing. She's been running around looking for the stuff that's been disappearing. Like >> she has been. >> Yeah. So I don't I don't know everything. That's just like from what I've heard, this is weird. Like we don't normally call you the way we did. >> She didn't she actually did it. We called you way >> before. Okay. >> So, but I don't unless there's something I don't know or something, but >> Okay. >> I mean, >> yeah. I don't know. That's just I I just want to let you know you might be I won't take this time. >> Okay. >> I just that's my that's my side of things. >> I want to investigate it first. So >> yeah know 100% I'm just I'm just let >> the woman continued to escalate the situation showing no awareness that she was a suspect. She kept making a scene outside the store. >> Please tell me how I was stealing. Please. Please tell me how I was stealing. >> Yep. >> Please. >> That's what they're going to find out. >> Well, I know. I'm I'm pissed. I want my balloons. >> You'll get them. >> I'll get them when they're ready to give them to me. >> No. >> When they're ready, they get to spill my stuff and I'm told I have to wait. But yet, I didn't go nowhere near cash register with their stuff. I didn't even push the car all the way around the store. I left it sitting in the front by the register so I didn't have to push around the store. And then I get in trouble for it. Are you serious? This is really what's happening. Can you go to the restroom with me? Like toilet paper down there or something? I don't my pants. I have one more to go or something, please. >> Nothing. >> Nothing. >> Phone, dash pass, and chargers. That's about it. >> There's not a charger in there. >> Oh, no. It's a It's a USB connector. Whatever. >> Did you drive here with somebody? >> No, I bought the bus. But they have >> Why were you trying to go out the back door? >> I was not. I was buying a flower. I bought a rose bush. Tomorrow's my mom's birthday. >> Go look. Tomorrow I didn't even take the car outside. I've got a rose bush from there. That woman came out there and told me that I couldn't couldn't be out there. >> Even after receiving her items, she believed her business was done. Yet, she continued insisting on proving her innocence. >> Hey, where you going? >> No, you're not. >> Why? What? What did I do? Please tell me what I done wrong. Please. Please tell me what I did wrong. >> What? I didn't do nothing wrong. I didn't push no cart outside. I went out there and bought a bruise bush for my mother. >> I know I'm bleeding all over myself, but I'm This is humiliation and I'm pissed. I'm helping. I'm tired. I'm ready to go. >> Do you have an ID in there? >> I should have a wallet in here. Yeah, I should. There's no There's no wallet. What does your wallet look like? It's brown. It's about like a square about the size of a damn >> It's about half the size of phone. >> Are you sure you had the >> I'm positive I had it with me. It was with my phone. Where did you put it? >> The phone in the wallet that was laying with the receipt in that right there like on the basket. >> They get a return over. >> Yeah. >> So, there's no wallet in there. >> No. >> I'm going to go look at a picture real quick. Although she initially faced a possible trespass after confirming her identity, the officers realized her earlier claims about her identity were completely questionable. [music] >> Let me see a picture you're looking at. >> I have dangerous. >> That's not you. >> Is it not you? >> I had about 80 lbs on me. >> Where'd your mole go? >> What mole? >> Oh, it was removed by a doctor. I need to go to the hospital. >> Okay. >> You're under arrest for trucking and uh >> I need to go to the hospital. >> We'll figure out who you are, what warrants you got. >> I don't have no warrant. When first approached, she tried to claim menstrual issues and other problems. Now, as she faced arrest, her alleged medical conditions were repeatedly brought up inappropriately to demand special treatment. >> I need to go to the hospital. >> I have four. >> Did you hear me? >> I have four. >> They got medical in jail. >> No, I >> All right, let's uh go ahead and uh >> I have four ribs.
