Don't touch me. I don't care what you said. I'm not being investigated for nothing. >> I didn't do nothing. I honestly I was trying to get my >> detained for stealing stuff from Walmart. >> You ain't got to hurt me like that. Everything you just witnessed was the behavior and attitude of shoplifterss who thought they could simply walk away after stealing until police stopped them before it was too late. What consequences would they end up facing? Find out in today's video. Shoplifterss think their theft spree went unnoticed. We are This is Law. Don't forget to like and subscribe. Starting with the theft of a single bra. The situation turned into a felony. change money back. >> Nothing was paid for. >> No, ma'am. That's my understanding. >> So, >> yeah, that's retail them. >> On the 29th of January, 2024, police were dispatched to a Walmart after reports of a theft surfaced. Surveillance footage showed the women shopping completely normally, but one woman in a gray shirt made the move that changed everything. She secretly slipped a bra into her bag before walking away as if nothing had happened. Moments later, police stopped the women outside, turning the situation into a tense confrontation. >> Police on the ground. GET ON THE GROUND right now. >> On the ground. >> Down. >> Get on the ground. >> I want this right there. >> Get on the ground. >> Get out of the car now. Get out of the car now. >> Stay right there. >> Okay. >> Put your hands behind your back. Put your hands behind your back. Put your hands behind your back now. Here. >> Drop the phones. >> Drop them on the ground. >> I don't care. Drop them. >> Turn around. Turn around. Turn around. >> I didn't do anything. Then I talk about it. >> Right now. You're under arrest. >> For what? I'm trying to put him down. >> I don't care. >> You got to cooperate with me. >> I am. I promise. Come up. >> Put your hand behind your back. >> Stand up. >> All three against the car. >> They're all right here. >> All three were successfully detained as officers gathered information on the suspects. Police even uncovered another violation involving the woman in the gray shirt. Yet, she showed no sign of guilt. Philadelphia. >> And you told me I was going to be detained cuz I didn't take anything. >> Well, investigate that, right? >> I don't know if I understand that, but I'm talking about >> She's a driver as well, isn't she? >> Yes. >> Okay. It just says she's suspended indefinitely. >> What does that mean? >> Oh, she's the driver. That means your license is suspended. >> How to She'll be the driver. >> Could be various things. would be insurance, registration, toll fees. >> Toll fees. >> Yeah. If you haven't been paying your tolls, be many things. >> Do they give you a ticket for that? >> Yeah. >> And also, your license will be taken from you as well. >> Okay. Then how do I get a reinstate DMV? >> You got to figure out whatever the issue is. >> That's the same. >> Mhm. >> Go to the DMV. Do you have insurance? >> No, I don't have a car. This is my mom car. >> If someone else you shot that mean you get arrested for that. >> I mean I don't know. We got all three of you could be arrested. Understand that. >> The woman's question seemed aimed at taking responsibility for the two others with her. But that became difficult after they were also seen ignoring the theft. At this moment, their family members arrived at the scene, forcing police to explain everything that had happened. Let me let me talk to the owner. >> Ma'am, can I This is my car. >> The way it came out was as a retail theft where the three >> Oh. >> stealing stuff from Walmart. >> Uhhuh. This my niece. That's her mom. >> Okay. Um, which one is which? >> That's my daughter and that's my god daughter and that's my niece. >> So, this is your daughter. >> This is your daughter. Okay. She's how old? 20 right now? 21. >> 21. >> This one right here. >> She's 22. >> 22. Okay. And then the other one back here >> is 16. Uhhuh. That's what this young lady told us. And she said she's 17. >> So that's why I was starting to explain. I just wanted to figure out who was who in play. >> So they were here >> came out as a call of retail theft, which is they were stealing stuff from Walmart. >> Okay. >> Walmart confronted. >> Did you want me to talk to you? >> I'm calling her mom. I'm asking me. I don't want you to lose anything in the conversation because to the >> So they're coming out. Walmart confronted them at this door will over here by the pharmacy. >> They gave up the merchandise and when we approached they all ran and got in the car which then they wound up parking here. I don't know how we got here but I know that >> um >> they were they were chased up to here. Yes. And this is based on the officer's explanation, the attempt to flee had turned a simple shoplifting case into a felony situation. What made it even more serious was the involvement of a minor, causing the other family members to seemingly push hard to clear her of blame. >> So, she's probably going to go to jail, it seems. >> Community service hours. >> I don't know if they choose community service or whatever, then that's what they choose. I mean, that's on them. >> Just over 21. >> That's crazy. Even if even if somebody else get, you still go to jail for that. >> For what? >> Even if somebody else get to jail for that. >> If somebody else was stealing. >> Yeah. Like cuz I didn't have nothing. You talking about she going to go to juvenile and stuff. You didn't have nothing on us. >> That's someone's probably in there right now. another officer watching back the video footage cuz they have they have cameras all over it. >> That much is she out on bond for anything? >> No, she never been. >> Yeah. So, it it'll be real minimal minimum $100. >> And I don't know what the bond schedule is right off, but it's >> Why she got to sleep? I don't want my baby to be sleeping. Why you can't get >> uh well it has to do with first appearances. So it takes a while to process through >> so it can take up for what 7 hours just to kind of do it through the system if that makes sense processes and everything. >> Uh but they have the option to release on a bond if that makes sense. >> But there needs to be something that has to happen and we don't deal with any of that stuff. So that's >> if they get a merchandise event why did y'all even go after them? Well, it's still a fact. >> You understand what I'm saying? So, I still went through with the act of effect. >> Shortly after, officers held a discussion to determine what would happen to the young girl. And this was the decision they made. >> This basically summarizes that your child has committed a delinquent act, which is in parenthesis a crime. >> Um, if they were adults, they would go to jail, but because they're not adults, we're instead of taking them to the juvenile assessment center because it's such a trivial crime, >> Jack. >> Exactly. >> Yeah. Um, our policy states that we're issuing them this. However, this is also your guys's choice as parents. Um, you can accept this. Basically, it means within 7 days, you got to call the juvenile court system and see what's the plan. You service, write a letter, I don't know. They make the rules over here. Again, though, that's your guys' decision. And as well, they have to sign and agree with that too, saying that they're going to do that. whatever those standards are. >> If they don't abide by those standards after you guys call and the courts will give her more punishment, whatever it may be. Um, but for our sake, we give it up to the juvenile ascent juvenile court system. >> Mhm. >> That's just paraphrasing all of this. Okay. >> Okay. >> Um, right here is this phone number here. I wish I had a highlighter. This is barely seen. That's the phone number that you guys are going to have to call within 7 days. Okay. >> All right. if you could. Did we already grab um at least one of your yours and one of yours um ID? Cuz on a report we also had to put that we gave them to you guys. We didn't just like >> The adult suspect was charged with retail theft, fleeing and eluding police, driving with a suspended license, and contributing to the delinquency of two minors. The moment a simple theft turned into a reckless escape, the consequences became far bigger than any of them expected. Even worse, the women next believed that getting angry would help them avoid being arrested. >> What is this? >> You wouldn't know if I >> I have bad anger issues. It wasn't no trying to oh, do this, do that. I had >> On February 9th, 2025, police received a call from Sally Beauty reporting that two women had stolen bleach products from the store and fled on foot. Upon approaching, the individuals immediately became confrontational, acting as if they were being treated unfairly. >> You guys have uh IDs? >> No. >> Okay. Well, >> we going to work. >> This is so considerate. >> We're going to work. What is the problem if we're going to work? Like I'm going to my mom. Y'all just check us. We don't have >> How old are you? >> We're young. We're trying TO GO TO WORK. >> OKAY. [ __ ] know you two. Do I? >> Exactly. And we don't know you too. You're coming off rude to us. >> Do I have a job to do? >> No. Excuse me, sir. He's coming off rule to us. We don't have no bleach. We have to get to work. The beauty supply in the hood on 95th. The beauty supply in the hood. What's your name? No. CUZ I'M IRRITATED. WE'RE TRYING TO go to work and we can't stop cuz we don't have no bleach. I'm upset cuz I'm trying to get to work and we don't have We go back to go back to like cuz I'm irritated. And you guys >> stealing things from Sally's flag. That's why we're here talking. >> They're not going there. Can we go back over? >> What is your day of birth? >> Keep stop yelling at me. >> Yes. I need I I don't care if you're like in trouble with no law like this. >> Well, then listen to me. This is all all this bad you see online and stuff. >> It all starts It all starts with not >> The officers were forced to issue a warning due to her behavior, which was escalating tension as she tried to avoid providing her information. But it seemed the girl was not willing to comply easily. >> Okay. What is What is your date of birth? >> No, I don't. I have my work. >> I I've asked you roughly like 10 times. >> Then I have my steal that I No, I'm Don't Don't touch me. I'm not going to go nowhere. Okay, you let me go. It's so expensive. >> Now the police over here harassing me. >> All right, this is what's going to happen. Let me talk to your mother. >> We I'm trying to buy some curling onions for my hair. I'm on night. I'm trying to go to work. YOU TALKING ABOUT some He went to the beauty supply for real. All right. >> It was clear they had no intention of resolving the situation as they repeatedly attempted to leave the scene. However, everything escalated into a climax due to their subsequent actions. >> I wish I punches. DON'T TOUCH ME. DON'T TOUCH ME. You mother >> arrest her. >> They don't care. THEY DON'T CARE. >> BRO, STOP. Y'all chill, bro. We not trying to run or nothing like that. We just >> So, she good. >> Stop. >> They stop grabbing me. What are you shoving me in a car for? Like, >> get out of my pocket. >> The girl in the beanie even pushed her friend and the officers to get away. However, the other girl already had evidence tied to the crime and quickly went silent once it was discovered. >> Give me Give I'm going in your pockets. >> Okay, stand up. >> You pulling me. I don't want to get up and fall. Step back. >> I'm not DOING ANYTHING. >> PLEASE STEP BACK SO I can stand up. I don't want to get close to me in any way. Like >> uncomfortable as >> What is this? >> You would know if I told you. >> You would not know if I told you. I can't keep it. No, I don't know what this is. What is it? >> What's the point? What's the point of telling? You wouldn't know. >> Turn around. Put your hands behind your back. >> This shit's ridiculous. I'm going back to Atlanta. I'm not even from here. Like, bro. I'm so human. He's going to see that crazy. >> Um, this one had the bleach in her pocket. So, >> she wouldn't just give that up and stuff. >> No. I'm literally looking through the bag and then I'm like, you know, she's got her hands in her pockets and so I'm like, "All right, let me make sure you got you don't have a pistol or something." They're both probably going I don't know if there's complaints for this. She raised fist to me. >> Oh, yeah. >> Oh, she's going to jail. Yeah, that was >> I'll confirm that it's in the book that I got cuz there's a whole bunch of beauty supply. >> Yeah. Hey, look. If they want if they want to sign complaints, I'm happy to take both. So, let me give you a heads up as to what's happening, right? I'm not sure if you are going to go to in or not right now. Okay. We're we're going to have them come over for a positive ID if they want to sign complaints to have you locked up. Okay. If that's the case, then you're going to go back to the station. We're going to do the fingerprints. We're going to do the photographs. If it's just ret it would just be re >> Meanwhile, the girl in the red beanie was also detained, but she still showed no awareness of her wrongdoing and continued to act in a defiant and confusing manner. You're uh I told your girlfriend, right? >> Mhm. >> Same thing. All right. >> Excuse me, sir. Um I was not raising my fist at you. I was trying to pull >> You're getting charged. You're getting charged with it. Okay. >> Okay. But I was trying to pull you out for her. >> Yeah. I was Yeah. No, that's not happening. >> And even if it was, guess what? Still illegal. Pains me to tell you that. Please tell me. Please tell me you gave me the right date of birth. Is this you or your sister? >> No. >> You know what? I don't care. We're charging with obstruction, too. >> If it's a different birthday and different name, you're getting charged with obstruction, too. >> It's already done. All right. >> Written on my ID. >> Great. The one that you told me you didn't have. >> Fantastic. >> You know what? It's okay. Save it for Miranda cuz I'm going to read your Miranda when we go in. Okay? Then you can answer whatever questions you you want to answer. Okay? You just work with me. Sir, I have bad anger issues. It wasn't no trying to oh, do this, do that. I have literally if you when we get to the station, can I show you my phone? My >> I know your anger issues. You raised a fist to me. >> I didn't raise my fist. I'm trying to grab your >> Tell it to your lawyer. All right. >> Okay. >> Cuz this is my body cam. Like you didn't introduce you to it. All right. That'll capture the whole event. >> Okay. Your anger issues are why you are in the situation you are in right now. You match the description. She matched the description. You're in proximity to the Sally Beauty Supply. I don't want to be dealing with you any more than you want to be dealing with me. But here we are. I am a marked I'm in a marked squad car and I'm a uniform police officer. You understand that? >> What you mean now? Listen, I was trying to um call you was not Oh, cool. Yeah. >> You was >> The pair were subsequently charged with retail theft and obstructing identification for each. This case shows how refusing to cooperate and escalating resistance during a police encounter can quickly make a minor incident turn into a more serious legal situation. Next, this woman showed she clearly had no idea what remorse even meant. >> So, we have a report of a shoplifting that occurred. >> Now, we spend the money being investigated for nothing. If I'm not under arrest, I'm able to leave. Yes, I am. >> On the 25th of October 2024, police received a report from a shopping mall about a shoplifting incident that had taken place. The suspects were allegedly two women who, after being approached by officers, immediately responded with suspiciously defensive denials. >> Just to let you know, everything's being recorded. >> Okay. >> Okay. You guys have any identification on? >> No. What's the problem? >> Okay. So, we have a report of a shoplifting that occurred. Oh no. >> Before Before we go through that, Before we go through that, do you have any identification? >> No. I didn't see from where? >> I'll buy you in a second. We're not right now. >> But I just I'm leaving. >> Nope. You're not leaving. You You are not. >> All right. You're right. You're right. All right. You're right. >> Put your bags down. Write your first name. Last name. >> First name. Last name. >> I want to know. >> Right now, we're investigating up top. >> From where? >> We have the right to know, right? I just gave you >> date of birth. Oh. your social. >> I don't know my social >> your address. >> I'm clear. >> It became clear the woman could not provide any valid ID while the information she gave sounded increasingly unreliable. She even refused to stay still, making the situation even more suspicious. Hotel >> M R A V L. >> Last name Whitehead R. >> One word >> 67979. >> M R A V L E G. >> Why you looking at like that? >> Oh, I can't tell. >> What town is that? >> Elizabeth, New Jersey. I'm not the window. >> I'm not being detained for nothing. >> I don't care what you say. I'm not being investigated for nothing. If I'm not under arrest, I'm able to leave. She showed no intention of resolving the situation and fearing she might leave without permission, officers decided to detain her. >> Take my bag. Nope. Nope. I'm not taking your bag. Stop. I'm not taking your bag. Stop. >> I'm not the bag. Drop the bag. >> Drop the bag. Drop the bag. >> Drop the bag. It's not that hard. 97. arrested. >> All right, search the bag. >> Is there anything on your poker stick me? >> No, >> don't touch this bag. This is my bag. You don't have the right to touch my bag. >> You do one right here. >> Oh, wow. Look at that. Can y'all give my sister my bag? Y'all got the glasses. Give her my bag. Just make sure she comes back. >> Give her my back. That's it. >> While the woman in black reacted with frustration and resistance, the other woman chose to cooperate after witnessing everything, making the situation far easier for everyone involved. >> Take my watch. Ma'am, do me do me a favor. What name? Stand right here. >> Okay. >> Wait until we finish our investigation. >> My name is Smith. That's my name. That's my real name. >> You have You gave my my officer your uh >> He has my You want her? You want her yet? >> Yes, he did. We already have somebody in line. So >> my car, please. That came out MY POCKET. D, GET MY CAR. >> WHY DOES SHE have my phone? >> Get my I'm showing I'm I'm showing him my name. >> Yeah, but you still don't you still don't get that possession of your phone. >> Just give my phone my name. This is your man. >> This is going to happen. Soon after, the woman in gray proved her innocence and was released, while the woman in black was confirmed to have concealed her fingerprints and lied about her identity. Even then, she showed no shame in facing the consequences. >> I don't got nothing on my baby. Sorry. >> 19 set up my car. In the meantime, can you uh give ID a call? I can't >> She go pick me up. She be able to pick me up roadong road. The woman in black was charged with shoplifting, providing false identification, and resisting arrest. People who lie about their identity and resist officers only turn a simple investigation into far more serious criminal charges. Even worse, the woman could not even control her own behavior. >> I haven't I haven't do nothing, >> MAN. I SAID I don't have to kick me. >> On the 14th of May 2024, police received a call from Walmart regarding a woman suspected of shoplifting. At that moment, officers approached her as she pushed a shopping cart out into the parking lot. This is what happened at that time. >> You got an ID on you? >> You don't have an ID on you? What's your name? Nikia. What I do? What's your last name? Nikia. What I do? Can you spell Nikia for me? >> I'm saying what's the problem? >> Can you spell your name for me? >> Okay. But what's what's the problem? >> We got a call about shoplifting. >> I wasn't stealing. I'm waiting on my grandma now. If I was stealing, >> if I was stealing, I would have left. >> Do you have a receipt? >> And that's fine. We'll we'll get to that part as soon as I figure out who you are. >> Do you have a receipt for the stuff that you met you purchased? The woman stayed silent when asked about the receipt, but she had no intention of cooperating. Her actions only prolonged the situation and prevented police from ending it. >> Okay, I had paid for this. >> All right, you're not me. How I'm not Okay, but >> Okay, BUT PLEASE DON'T TAKE MY >> STOP. STOP. BUT I HAVEN'T BUT Y'ALL, I haven't did nothing. Why not? >> But I didn't do nothing. I just But I just >> I just tried to get my drink. >> Yeah. Why? I just >> I just tried to get my drink on. LISTEN TO >> WHY ARE y'all trying to listen to I just tried to get my drink though >> from Walmart? >> No, I didn't. I was trying to get my drink >> detained for stealing stuff from Walmart. >> You ain't got to hurt me like that. JUST >> OKAY, BUT Y'ALL AIN'T GOT TO HURT ME. I ain't doing nothing wrong. Stop. >> All right. Do you have anything on you that could poke me, sick me, and hurt me in any way? >> What are you detaining me for? >> Because I was called here for shoplifting and you're not able to just the receipt. So >> I You said I went. He got my stuff. Shortly after, officers began searching the woman, but nothing went smoothly. Her actions afterward only led to additional charges against her. >> Man, get I just told you I don't have nothing. >> Well, we got to check on you. >> Okay, so get off my arm. >> MAN, GET I don't have nothing. >> Kick me kick, >> man. I don't got nothing. DAMN. >> Let me see this foot up. Pull your foot out. No, cuz I don't have anything. Y'all doing all that for no reason. >> Okay. If you take anything into the jail, any contraband, it's an additional charge. >> Cuz I don't have anything. >> Damn. I just told you that. You're >> making this a lot more difficult, >> man. Okay. Can you let my ARM GO THAT [ __ ] HURT? >> You going to relax? >> Yes. >> Just brush your teeth. Hey. >> Okay. >> Bam. >> Step. >> Have a seat. >> Okay. >> Shortly after, officers returned the items to the store for inspection, and an employee confirmed that the stolen merchandise turned out to be the clothing the suspect was wearing. >> We can't do it. Wasn't working on the other day. in the pink shirt that she's wearing in order to pull out. She doesn't have another one. Another shirt, I guess. I don't know. We have her sweater. Yeah. >> The total value of the merchandise was reportedly $145, which was not enough to qualify as a felony. So, she was released shortly afterward. However, officers explained that she would still have to face charges. >> What I need you to do is for me to sign right here. The citation is not admission to guilt. All you're doing is signing a thing you receive today. You have a court date. >> Yeah, we have a coffee. We'll get a coffee. I'll be right back with you. yellow cup. >> Yeah, I will. The woman was charged with shoplifting and obstruction. A simple mistake might still leave room for consequences, but turning the situation chaotic with resistance and defiance only made everything far worse for her in the end. Next, let's switch things up with this fraud case. >> So, in order to sign paperwork, you're going to need some type of ID. >> We already did get those things. Now you finding out that there was no availability of funds, they never gave you an issue with that. Like they never had >> pending deposits. >> On the 5th of June 2025, deputies approached a woman at a dealership after receiving reports of a forged instrument being used. This was what unfolded next. >> Are the black Tesla out front? Are you guys Is that your ride? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Class 64 is the ride. >> All right. So, what's going on today? You guys are trying to purchase something. >> Okay. So, what are you guys trying to purchase? >> What? You already purchased something? >> Okay. So, what exactly is happening with the contract? >> I guess there's a problem with the check. It's >> So, I'm just going to be very straight up and honestly honestly it goes a long way. The check's bad. So, what's the deal with the with the with checks and going on and stuff like that? >> What do you mean? >> The checks the checks used to purchase said vehicle are bad. And there's another check brought in that is also bad. Do you have the check? >> Purchase this vehicle. >> Yeah, they come from where I come. >> Are they? Do you have the check? >> Do you have And it's in First Horizon. So, who is what is First Horizon to you guys? >> Right. >> All right. >> And who's the account holder for it? >> Joseph holder for that. >> That's you. >> Yeah. >> That's your ID first. So, in order to sign paperwork, you're going to need some type of ID. >> We already signed We already did this thing. the bank already. >> The woman acted like everything was already finalized and refused to show her ID, raising even more suspicion. Meanwhile, the dealership manager explained the issue they were facing. >> They didn't so from my correct from our conversation, we didn't see everything everything went through, but now it's just waiting on this like a down payment for the complete payment of the car. >> Yeah. So, the initial down payment, which was $9,500, they've given us already two back checks. >> Okay. I've even If they have any of this, you're going to need a statement from whoever was involved. I'm going to find out there. We're not going to ask any questions when we do it that way. It's going to be a good >> um they they've already wrote me two bad checks and now they brought me a third check which we can't verify as well. So all these checks um I called their lender today to see if they could verify that check. She says they have no indication of that check that it's it's it's basically it's fraudulent. >> Okay. So, uh, we also ran her records, of course, and I noticed that she had a prior to this type of stuff. >> Oh, so, so this is over the the down payment of the actual. >> Yeah. So, the actual contract itself, I mean, everything's it's a funable contract. Like, we have a real approval with the bank. >> It's a consistent down payment, >> the whole initial down >> in order for make the deal to be complete. >> Correct. >> $9,500, >> which we've already tried them to get multiple, can you just bring me cashes? I can't do that. It's got to be a cashier check. I started cashier's check is cash. Just go to your bank and pull the money out. >> She goes, "Oh, they won't let me do. I have to wait 24 hours." >> And this is all within today. >> Today? Oh, really? Yeah. Within within today. >> Moments later, deputies directly confronted the woman about the information they had uncovered and she immediately came up with a wellprepared story to explain it. >> So, that's all we we have. We have an issue here when it comes to the checks. So, what's what's going on with the checks? >> Okay. So, we've been driving by this car for probably about a month and a half, right? >> 3 weeks after They got they were trying to get approval 3 weeks after they called me like, "Hey, you know, we're good to go. You guys can come and, you know, you'll have you'll have the deal, whatever. You guys can move forward with uh like picking up the car." >> Okay, >> sure. No problem. You know, originally it was a $7,000 down payment. We come here. Um then they're like, "Oh, the down payment is going to be $9,500 or something like that because we're going to wave something yada yada." That was about 2 weeks ago or something like that. I asked them, "How can I make the payment, you know, for the down payment?" I said, "I can bring you a business check like what what can I make it?" And then I even asked I said uh this was on a Friday or Saturday or something like that. So the bank was closed. So um bring the check and um they call me on Wednesday and they say that the check returned uh the funds weren't available or something like that. So I go back. >> So when were you notified of that? That was um what if I grab my phone? >> Best of your knowledge today. >> The best of your knowledge. >> Um >> so the first time the check didn't go through when what day was that? >> Thursday th Thursday of the follow of last week or something like that? >> Last Thursday. Okay. >> Yeah. So then um that's when the check didn't didn't go through. Um and so then uh I came in. They asked me to give him a Oh, no. I was here. So with the whole situation that it was two checks and stuff like that, I had given him the wrong I had given them the wrong check. >> Her story became a long patched together explanation that was hard to believe. Suspicion only grew as she sounded increasingly unsure while answering the deputy's questions. >> What did you do at the bank? >> Huh? What did you do at the bank? The >> check. >> Okay. Which check did you get? >> The one that I gave him that he told me that he hasn't cashed or anything because he hasn't he's not able to cash it or whatever. And this is the check that you handed to me. >> Yes. >> Okay. >> The check that I >> Do you know what what check number that was that they gave me? >> It starts with nine, I believe. >> Okay. So, you said you have the bank statements. Normally, if you look at the bank statements, it'll tell you what check number they wrote wrote out. Is there a way for you to get into that? >> Um, well, the bank statement is going to give you the bank statements that's already been released. You mean the account itself? So when you purchase a buyer's check, it tells you the check number that they're issuing. >> But no, so it's not it's a business account. So what they do is they it's a draft check. And there was a lot of back and forth. Some people were saying yes, other people were saying no. He told me you're good. Then he said, you know, you're not good. So I really don't. And before you guys got here, we were about to sign something. He told me that he had given it to his accounting team or something and he had already called and verified something. >> So, so at the bank when you physically went there to get the check, they never gave you an issue when it came to getting the check or obtaining it with, you know, being now you finding out that there was no availability of funds. They never gave you an issue with that. Like they never had pending deposits that were coming into the account. That's why they said, you know, within 24 to 48 hours. So, if we do want to just go in and get it done with and then find that she has no cash on her, we're still good to take her. >> Is the suitcase hers or was it? >> Nope. She's grabbing it from the store. Looks like she's going to fill it up. So, we can do I can since she can't see, I can walk into LP office, watch cameras with him, and update. Or we can go in now. Doesn't matter. >> That's just update. If you want to do that, if you want to go in and look at the cameras, >> I'll go in there. I'll be right back. Okay. At the same time, the moment the woman was exposed, officers quickly approached her, catching her off guard. >> Go ahead. She's here. Put your arms behind your back. Put your arms behind your back. >> All right, I got it. Oh, got your ID in here. >> No, I don't. I What's your reason? >> What? >> More? >> Yeah. >> You know why you're being stopped? What was your intention of coming here today? >> I was just getting some clothes for me and my kids. >> Okay. Did you intend to steal it? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Do you do you have any like credit cards or money or anything on you? >> No. She had not carried any form of payment on her, which confirmed her intent to come there and steal, but when questioned, she denied it. >> Here today to steal that. Is that right? >> No. No. I came here to pick somebody up and when when they wasn't here, >> then I just swung by the store. >> Okay. >> Something stupid. >> Okay. So, what was your purpose of coming here though? You, you know, to get clothes? >> Yeah, I was coming to shop. Mhm. >> Okay. But you essentially had no way to pay for it, though. >> Yeah. I mean, I had ways to pay for it in my car. >> Okay. All right. You want to hop out right here real quick? Go ahead. >> Shortly after, the officer returned inside the store while another officer who had already been working with the staff had also reached several firm conclusions. >> Um, so was there was merchandise stuffed into the suitcase. Is that right? >> Yeah. Yeah. There was it's 22 something. It's 19 after sales, but they don't do sales, so it's >> that purse wasn't hurting. It It is. It's not here. It was little uh $2,000 some going to try and flip her. >> Yeah. something interested. >> She's from Indiana, so um I've never done that. So McDonald's talking to her now. >> The situation became even clearer when more items were discovered in her personal vehicle. Strongly suggesting that she was experienced in this kind of wrongdoing. >> Like everything in this car is probably stolen. >> What all you see in this bag? What else? >> Yeah. >> Oh, she got a lot of stuff in >> All this stuff. It's all in Lowe's bags, but none of it is from the Lowe's store. Got the just the MMO of concealing another bag. I think that stuff is all from Meer. This one. >> Oh, there's this gold. Who knows where the heck this is from. However, despite the clear evidence, the woman did not easily admit to anything and even hesitated when answering some of the officer's questions. There's a lot of other stolen merchandise in your vehicle. Where'd you get that from? >> Where did you get that from? >> That came from the store. Oh, I've already been in contact with Meyer. >> Looks like you were there today. >> You going to take nothing out of there? >> So, what's the camera footage going to show? >> I didn't take nothing. >> Were you there today? >> Mhm. But I didn't go I didn't take that emerge. What other stores were you at today? >> Uh, they said just Myers and I went to a gas station. >> Okay. >> Who's your friend? >> Who's your friend that you dropped off? >> No, I was supposed to pick up a friend. >> Pick up from where? >> Robert. I was supposed to pick him up from jury in. That's the reason I ended up down. >> Okay. >> And he was already gone once I got here. >> Okay. All righty. So, I would argue that that stuff is still in your vehicle. So, we're going to impound your vehicle, okay? And we're seizing all the stuff that's in there, okay? And then you're going to go to county for a couple felonies. In the end, the woman was charged with multiple counts of felony retail theft after being found to have carried out a series of shoplifting incidents at several different stores. The woman's actions escalated from a single suspected theft into a broader pattern of repeated offenses across multiple stores, leaving her little room to avoid accountability. They're very sloppy. There's money everywhere and everything. This doesn't surprise me. They just accused another guy of stealing money that they want, though. On November 29th, 2025, the police received a report call from Brinks regarding a large-scale cash theft. The officers promptly arrived at the scene to investigate what had happened based on statements from those involved. >> Hey, how's it going, sir? Good. >> So, what's going on? >> All right. Um, I'm with We're both with Brinks. I'm with Brink Security. And last Friday, the 21st, we had a uh messenger who went on route. messengers are the ones that drive the armored vehicles, >> right? >> Um he checked out his route and one of the bags like midstream he didn't even finish his route. He only did three and then he came back made an excuse that um his kid was sick or something so he had to come back. Well, we're missing a bat. So, uh Liz was here um kind of supporting the branch here and watched him go to a rest stop. Well, we don't service the rest of them. The trucks up >> the one up on the interstate. >> Yeah. Do you know if they have cameras up there? >> I don't. Uh they might. I'll have to check. >> Okay. But we have cameras in our truck so I can see him. He takes his backpack out and he takes uh brings coal bag. The coal bag is the black bag that where they put their uh money and stuff in and they go in and out of a business. Well, he takes his bag and he goes probably to the restroom. So, I want to pull I want to pull the hard drive from the truck and see actually where he goes. But then we get him coming back cuz we have internal cameras also that we can see live. And he brings his coal bag back and he takes his backpack out and then he starts stuffing stuff on top of the bag trying to conceal like he opens up his backpack. >> He stuffs stuff on top of the >> inside of his backpack. >> Okay. So he gets his you see him get his jacket and he opens up his backpack and stuffs his jacket on the top of it. So that's where we believe >> they took the money out of the delivery bag. >> Even the woman standing nearby had provided several details that further reinforced the suspicion that the suspect had engaged in questionable and wrongful behavior. >> Back to the branch. Nobody searches him. He leaves with his backpack. I counted on camera only four ATMs came back. He didn't do any ATMs. There should have been five ATMs. We only had 13 rounds. 13 stops. >> 13 stops. >> So place the rest stop. Would that >> ever happen normally for a driver to go to a location that's not part of their route now? >> You could have gone to the bathroom, but not with a with a pull bag. >> Yeah. >> Right. You never take the bag. I'm assuming that's part of like protocol. The bags don't >> because they have a route sequence that they have to adhere to and when they deviate from that, they know the branch knows that they went off a route, >> right? >> So that wasn't even on their route. There no stop at that truck stop or the rest stop. >> Is it even is it in between any two stops or >> it's on his hour drive back to the branch cuz he was in Panama City Beach. >> So I called him today and talked to him and said hey you know did you have any problem with your route? Um he goes no. I said hey I I understand that you quit. He goes yeah I quit just not for me. So after he left that day uh when did he throw his uniform? So, I guess between when he brought his ride back and didn't finish it on Friday and when they showed up to open the ranch on Saturday, he threw his uniforms over the fence and texted the manager that he quit. After that, the police discovered the situation was far more serious when the suspect was confirmed to have committed the act more than once with the total value estimated at 10400. On that same day, officers were also able to approach the suspect. What happened next unfolded as follows. Sheriff's office. Go ahead. Step out for me. What? >> Explain that in a minute. >> Stopping that guy or what? >> We have him stopped. He's 1050. car 258 26. >> He's got uh about $920 and just 20s in his wallet. So, we're still out with the truck. I can't see anything in plain view for us to search it or anything like that, but uh we're just going to hang tight with the truck. >> Although the man had been arrested so suddenly, he did not become panicked. Instead, he remained surprisingly calm as the police interrogation unfolded. >> Mr. Miller, I'm Deputy Lass with the sheriff's office. Since you're in handcuffs in the back of a car, I got to read you this before we can talk. Okay, >> I got you. >> You have the right to remain silent. Do you understand that, sir? >> I do. Yeah. >> Um, what branch of the military were you in? >> Marine Corp. >> Marine Corps? >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. What where'd you serve at? >> Uh, all over the place. I was in Okinawa, California, South Carolina, um, anywhere. >> What What' you do? What was your must? >> Uh, military, please. Can I handle it? >> Okay. Okay. Um, yeah, I've done most of that stuff to be honest. I've been stateside all my career. Never got any of the deployments unfortunately. So, I missed it. Did you retire or did you just >> I got hurt. I needed a knee replacement. So, >> uh, so you got disability from the VA and stuff like that. Okay. Um, so the reason that we're talking to you right now, uh, >> I already know Mike Wong called me. I didn't get money as well. They use [ __ ] all the time. >> Okay. Okay. Well, here's here's the thing you got to understand. Brinks has been doing this for a really long time. >> They have a lot of systems in place, some of which were jked to make this happen. However, there is a detailed record of everything. >> I mean, I I work there. I understand it. And I didn't make the money. Like, there's disappear constantly. It's crazy because I quit. They're bitter about it. So, >> okay. So, do you know the bag that they're talking about? >> I have no idea cuz I didn't take a bag. So, I don't need the details. I take [ __ ] from them. Well, it's crazy. Okay. >> His answers essentially amounted to a denial of any involvement in the theft. And even when confronted with follow-up questions, he responded with ease as if he had been prepared in advance. >> Well, so you did a number of things that are abnormal, right? Because every again, everything they do, everything's on video. Everything's tracked, >> right? So, do you remember stopping at a rest stop on the way back from your route? >> Yeah, I had to go to the bathroom. >> You had to go to the bathroom. Okay. Did um Why' you Why'd you end your route early that day? >> Cuz my door wasn't working. Both doors were like stuck shut, so I didn't I couldn't get in and out. >> Okay. Um So, you're in the route early cuz the doors You say you stop at the bathroom on the way. Do you normally take a money bag with you into the bathroom? >> I had my black uh brin bag with me. Yeah, because the doors were all screwy. I didn't want to get locked out with everything. So, I brought all the keys and everything with me in there. >> Okay. Um do you normally bring that backpack that you had in in the money bag with you? >> Yeah, I bring all my stuff with me. >> Well, I mean, do you normally bring that bag to work? >> Oh, yeah. I bring it over. I keep my lunch and stuff. >> Okay. Is it a table bag? >> Yeah. Is is that in policy? I don't know what the policy is. >> Well, they said that my understanding is that the if you have a personal bag, it's supposed to be either clear or like a mesh bag so you can see in it. >> Well, I guess no one no one likes that. >> Okay, that may be so I'm just asking. Right. Um, do they normally search bags like that that aren't uh clear or mesh bags? >> Kind of. Sometimes that's not uh they don't follow protocol there. They're very sloppy. There's money everywhere and everything. This just doesn't surprise me. They just accuse another guy stealing money not too long ago. If you paid close attention, the officer's questions were actually designed to test whether he had truly seen or handled the money bags since he was only supposed to be the driver transporting them. He then admitted that he had taken a money bag out shortly after. Well, understand, like I said, the way everything's tracked, it's very clear that you take all five bags out, the ATM bags, the blue ones, right? You take five ATM bags, you load them on the truck. That's all on video. >> Yeah, I know. I brought them back. I know I brought all of them back when they didn't work. >> And on video, they have you checking back in. In the end, he was officially charged with grand theft. And the money previously found by the police was also confirmed to be connected to the missing funds. Actions that seem like a quick, easy gain can quickly spiral into serious consequences when accountability systems are in place. Trying to outsmart a structured system often leads to exposure, especially when small suspicious actions add up and reveal the truth.
