Yeah, just follow us to the office over here. >> Why'd you pay for it? >> Well, it's Yeah, it's too late now. You got to remove your glass socks off your head. >> Good grief. >> There are handcuffs and you have to go listen to me. Stop. >> Stop. All right. >> Look at me. >> Not a baby, correct? >> No. >> They thought they were untouchable. Flashing fake confidence, acting above the law. But when reality hit, these entitled thieves learned fast that karma always comes with handcuffs. >> Step out of the car or you're going to be taken to jail. >> Kick his door in at 5:00 a.m. >> You going to kick his That's a child. >> So what? He fled from the cops. >> Here are times when entitled shoplifterss learn a hard lesson from the cops. Support us with a like and sub. You won't believe what's next. Starting with the woman who was confident in her perfect plan. But it didn't take long for her to face a bitter ending. >> She's got a basket full of stuff. She had a bunch of She was in here for like 3 hours shopping. >> Yeah. Just follow us to the office over here. >> Well, yeah, it's too late now. >> On July 27th, 2025, police were dispatched to Walmart after staff reported a theft at the selfch checkout. The woman believed her trick would succeed, but in reality, employees had already seen through everything. >> She's got a basket full of stuff. She had a bunch of She was in here for like 3 hours shopping. >> Okay. >> She had a bunch of clothes folded. Um, and so what she was doing was she she scanned the outside items, but there was like three or four folded in between. >> She had a bunch of uh dog food. >> Is she like a current or frequent uh shoplifter? >> Yeah, I know. I know Kohl's has dealt with her a lot. That's who sent us her information. Oh, okay. >> Um, she usually stages the carts and has other people come in and get it, but in this case, she did it all herself. >> Which way is she going to exit through? >> Hopefully this side. >> Hopefully this side, but we're going to see right now. >> I don't know if she's trespass. >> What was her name? >> She wasn't in the office. >> Do you know how to spell her last name? >> Yes, sir. C. >> And do you know her date of birth? >> That I don't know. >> Yeah, she's coming this way. She still believed she could walk away after 3 hours of shopping, but she was stopped by employees and police. She was escorted straight into the loss prevention office right after. >> Hello, Mary. >> Yeah, just follow us to the office over here. >> Why' you pay for it? >> Well, it's Yeah, it's too late now. You guys want to get ready to go? >> Yeah, we'll get everything over here. >> Do you have any idea what >> you have any other items in your in your purse or anything like that that you didn't pay for? this fell in there. [Music] >> Yeah. [Music] >> If you guys didn't want to, do you have your receipt as well? That way you guys can see what she paid for and what she doing. All right. decide at any time to exercise his rights and not answering my questions or make any statements. Do you understand your right? If you want to talk to me, >> so yeah, right now you're not free to leave. You're basically under arrest for shop. >> The woman showed no change in expression after police explained as if she silently acknowledged the issue and calmly thought she could do what she should have done from the start. >> Well, I mean, that's why we're here. they saw you on the cameras. So, depending on the dollar amount, um, we'll just give you a citation. If they want you trespass, we're going to have you trespassed. Um, like I said, depending on the dollar amount. If it's not a felony amount, we'll give you that citation. >> 500 500. >> 500 or more. >> Well, it's for the items that you didn't scan. >> Yeah. >> It's for the items that you didn't scan. So, as long as it's not 500 or more, we'll just cut you a citation and then um I'm sure they're going to want you trespassed. So, we'll just have you trespassed and you won't be allowed on any Walmart. Okay? >> And trust me, they're really good at what they do. That's all they do all day. Check cameras and people. So, if you decide to go to another Walmart, all this information is going to go to another Walmart. They're going to check you out there. They're going to see you there. And then after that, you will go to jail for trespassing. >> Okay? Just because we just advised you right now that you're not allowed at any Walmart here in Las Cruus at leaza too, but shoplifting. >> Can I pay for it still? If I >> if you want to take it if they let you. I mean, >> I think after >> No. >> Yeah. That's what I mean. >> Along with what the cameras recorded and the receipt showing the amount, she would surely have to face the consequences of her actions. >> How you doing, sir? >> It's okay, Papa. >> It's okay. >> You need to see an ID for me. That's fine. Hair child. We're going to go with Chad, Papa. Okay. That one I can put around my card. >> All right. >> I'm going to leave him really loose. Okay. sleeping really cooperatively. >> Finally, the woman was charged with felony shoplifting and trespassing. This case showed a hard lesson. Guilt doesn't disappear just because you stay calm. Cameras don't lie, and the law doesn't negotiate. Next up, the entitled woman believed her act was nothing serious for the amount she had stolen. >> I didn't pull any tags off anything. >> Okay. All right. >> But I can I'll pay for it again. I don't want to have to good grief. >> On April 20th, 2025, police quickly responded to a report from a local Meyer store where a woman admitted to hiding a few items, but what they uncovered next revealed something much bigger here. What's happened? >> Let's go get the other stuff. >> Some of it's not from here. >> I'm sorry. >> The bag took the bag over. We're going. [Music] >> That's it. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Got work bags and she really needs to press charges over this. >> I don't know. I just got here. You saw when I walked in, right? >> Because I walk out with the car. How many of you did they send over here? >> Um, I don't know. Maybe two >> for this. >> Uh, yeah. It's a crime. >> Now, I had a blanket in the bag that was already mine. Do they need to have that? >> Ma'am, I don't know. We'll figure it out. Do you have another item? If so, >> I have a blanket in my car. >> Was it from here? >> I thought that was the one we were trying to match. I'll pay for it again if it's not. >> Was it? >> Cuz I had one in my car. >> Okay. Was there another one that you pull a tag off? >> I didn't pull any tags off anything. >> Okay. All right. But I can I'll pay for it again. I don't want to have to have charges. I will pay for it again. I'm glad. >> At that moment, the woman showed discontent that the amount alone had brought such consequences, reflecting her own sense of ownership. But nothing could change what was already decided. >> We're past that already, so they're pursuing trouble. Let's be >> for under $100. >> Doesn't matter. It's their call. Please, >> what's your phone number? >> Are you printing the train receipt? >> Please. >> He says she don't have Do you have it or not? >> I have a blanket in my car. Yes. >> Was it from here? Can you cut? Was it from here or not? I'm starting to lose my patience. >> I was Yes. >> Yes, it was. Okay, let's go get it. >> So, is this the one that you took from there? >> I'm trying to Yeah. >> Okay. All right. Just bring it back in with you. >> She says she don't want that. So, $300 for me to go all the way back. >> Unfortunately, it's it's their call. So, apparently you all already had a y'all don't like each other. So, >> I've never been I like I'm not even from the area. I did a stupid thing, but I'm not >> I get it. But it's their call. We don't have a choice in it. >> As much as you don't want to deal with it, we don't want to deal with it either. >> It's Sunday. >> If I didn't want to deal with it, I should have >> Yeah. Go ahead. How many things do they need? >> Is there going to be a transport or no? >> You're going to arrest me? >> Uh, possibly. >> What? >> That's what happens when a crime is committed. Like, are you >> Knowing the outcome would be far from pleasant, the woman kept begging the staff to change their decision. As if late payment could magically erase a crime. >> We know you can. This is under $100. I had a really stupid I won't come back to your store, please. This is within your ability. >> Um, >> it's under >> he got his notary stuff. Do you want transport or you want it to >> Can I just pay for this? I won't come back. >> I'll do the booking sheet and I'll do the photos >> and send it in to him. >> All right, ma'am. It's not happening. Set that down, please. And we got to take care of some other stuff. >> We don't have all day to deal with this. >> Um, can you stand over here for me? >> Ma'am. Ma'am, can you stand here for me? >> And just look straight ahead, please. Uh, you got to remove your glass off top of your head. >> Good grief. >> Great idea. >> Okay. And then can you turn and face that way? and then the other side, please. >> Okay, you can go and have a seat. >> The police made the final decision on the woman's actions. This was the consequence of her deliberate behavior. Yet, she still seemed unable to accept it. >> You're being trespass. >> If you come back, what happens is they have cameras. So whether they stop you at that time or if they are able to provide proof to us that you were here after being trespassed, then it's it's it's grounds for another arrest. >> Okay. >> I didn't pull the tag off of that. >> I was around for another one. >> So what's going to happen is this. Um you're going to be spared the embarrassment of having to be taken out of here in handcuffs. So you're going to be given an NTA. All right. It's notice to appear on that. They're going to press charges on top of the trespassing. >> Absolutely. >> Like I said, this could be much worse and we can call for a transportation van and we can lock you out of here in handcuffs and then you have to go. Listen to me. Stop. >> Stop. >> All right. I'm sorry. >> I'm doing you the favor of not having to take you all the way to the police department. All right. >> Mhm. >> So, what's going to happen is you're going to be given paperwork. It's going to have your court date on there. You have to go to court that date. All right. >> Yeah. >> If you don't go to court that day, then there's going to be another warrant put out for your arrest. >> All right. That's it. It's completely up to them. They're pursuing charges. Said and done. Nothing's going to change it. All right. >> It is up to them. >> Until the very last moment, the woman still believed she could change the outcome, but the power would never belong to her. >> How much was the total? Can I pay for it? >> No. >> Can I know what the total was? as soon as we find out how much this blanket is. All right, let's go outside. We got to give you one piece of uh paperwork that's going to have your court date on it and then you guys got to leave. Okay. >> So, um yeah, that's pretty much it. It was either that or a lot of times typically in these situations we uh we go ahead and just um you know we'd have to call a trans transportation ban out here. You get arrested um well you are arrested technically but we'd put handcuffs on you. You'd have to walk out of the store like that, search you. You'd have to go to the police department, do the booking and all that nonsense. So um just take it as a lesson learned. Okay. In the end, the woman was cited for misdemeanor shoplifting and released. This case proves that the price tag means nothing compared to the act itself. Even a small theft reflects intent, and intent is what brings real consequences. Next, let's watch a pair of sisters who completely lost their sense of shame when caught. You can wear your sunglasses, your mask. That makes you stand out even more. >> I don't have cheeks, that's why I had to wear a mask. It was my sister. I don't get the I can't breathe. >> On September 4th, 2025, police received an urgent call from Target reporting a theft in progress. The suspects were accused of hiding stolen goods inside a baby stroller. As soon as officers arrived, the tension spiked instantly. >> Stop. Stop. Stop. >> We're going to contact somebody over here. >> Stop. Put your hands up. Your hands up. >> Look at me. Where's the wafer? Keep them up. Keep them up. >> Not a baby. Correct. >> No. >> We just want to make sure there's no child, no children involved. >> Okay. >> Last incidents we had with you guys, you guys had a weapon. Where is it at? >> I don't have a weapon. >> I never had an incident with you guys. >> Not with us. If there's an incident, we know who you guys are. I'm going to talk to you in just a second. Okay. Right now, Target's going to retrieve their property. I'm going to place over here, then I'll talk to you. >> Okay. >> Put over here. >> Her sunglasses and mask were meant to hide her identity, but instead they made her stand out, making it easier for police to recognize her. At that moment, the officers pushed her to confess everything. >> Okay. >> Right. You can wear your sunglasses, your mask. That makes you stand out even more. >> I don't have teeth. That's why I wear a mask. >> You don't have what? teeth. >> Teeth? >> Yeah. I got them removed. So, >> okay. Well, regardless of the reason. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Uh, and here you are. And now we're here. Can you tell me what happened in there? >> We were being dumb. >> Okay. What do you mean by that? >> Taking stuff. >> Taking stuff. Now, that stuff that you were taking, what do you do with it? >> Uh, use it. >> Use it? >> Yeah. >> How? >> For my kids, my house. >> Okay. I'm just asking a lot of people come boo stuff and they go sell it. >> Is that a situation? >> No. >> Now, who is that again? >> My sister. >> Your sister? What's your sister's name? >> April. >> April. >> Yep. 1994. The reason I know that is because again, you've been shoplifterss. Repeat shoplifters. This is not the only time they recognize you and they've had incidents with you. Now, I want to ask you about another incident. I You probably saw yourself on TV or something. March 19, a few months ago at the Dollar General, you're wearing exactly the same glasses. You're wearing exactly the CO mask coverings or whatever. Nowadays, people use it only to cover their faces, to cover their criminal activity. It turned out this uniform had become her trademark whenever she planned to steal. And this time she even brought her own coworker, a relative who ended up sharing the same fate. >> All right. So when they not only that you a lot of people shoplift every day, then they get away with it. They come back like, "Hey, we know this person. We know these girls. Hey, please. These girls are here again and they're repeat shoplifterss." >> Right. >> Okay. So, and now here we are. Can you tell me what happened in there? >> Uh, okay. So, we went in. Our intentions were to go in and get some Pampers for her kids and um some other stuff. And I wanted to pay for it. I can't afford it. I mean, I thought my check was going to come in sooner. It didn't. And so, we decided to put it in her uh stroller. >> Mhm. So, couldn't afford it. Decided just put it in the store. >> Yeah. I mean, like I was telling Mr. I hear that. You mean we've tried asking for help and resources and nobody wants to help us. >> Yeah. Well, you know, to that uh everybody's had hard times. I've had them, but and I just don't see the the justification of doing not only that, but over and over. >> I know. I I agree. I know it's pathetic and it's it's stupid and >> I definitely will be the last time we'll ever do this stupid again. Cuz here's the thing. >> All the other stores once we put your name out there, your photo out there, they're like, "Yeah, she hit us over here." "Yeah, she hit us over here." Uh do you know the They're not new. This is 2 years old. Uh the shoplifting statues. Once you reach a certain amount, that's organized retail crime. That's a secondderee felony. >> Wow. Upon reviewing the incident, it became clear why the officers were so tense upon arrival. And no amount of regret could ever save the suspects from the consequences of their actions. >> Well, a gun being pulled when uh during a shoplifting, that's aggravated shoplifting. That's a thirdderee felony. >> He took my money or she took my money, not him. She did. >> He came from the back cuz he just heard the commotion. >> You mean I honestly I didn't know she was going to pull the weapon. I didn't know. >> Okay. >> Oh, please. Okay. >> Go over to my kids. >> Yeah. >> Uh >> I didn't pull out the car. >> Okay. Well, if you're if it wasn't you, then who was it? >> It was my sister. >> Oh my god. I'm freaking I can't breathe. >> Relax. I don't know what they're going to do, but you know, there's been bond reform, so they've been reducing people once you get booked. I I'm not promising anything. >> I know. >> Finally, both sisters were charged with felony shoplifting, criminal trespassing, and conspiracy to commit a felony. This case reminded us no disguise can hide repeated wrongdoing. Once your face becomes familiar to the law, regret won't erase your record. Next up is a well orchestrated theft carried out by someone who was supposed to be trusted. You get the food, she'd take the money and ultimately zero out the order and keep the money. >> $450 and it's $475. I'll put the $450 in the >> On December 28th, 2021, the police arrived at a Taco Bell after a report that an employee had scammed money. Upon arrival, management and the employee explained exactly how she carried out the scam. >> So, I've got an employee. She took 250 200 $250 from us. We've got video of her taking cash. Um she would take customer orders, zero it to zero, give the customer the food, take the money in, put it in the register, and then at the end of the day, she'd go and they break down their register. >> Whatever was left over, she would put in her pocket. So in the exception the exception reporting system that we have it would find unusual behaviors which is >> or things like that. >> So that's what alerted us to something unusual going on >> 1839 >> and then when I matched the the tickets like a video that's when we saw the customer would pay for an order to get the food. she'd take the money and ultimately zero out the order and keep the money. >> So, mash events to tickets. >> Yes. >> Well, sir, just in your words, tell me what led you to call me here today. So we have an exceptionbased reporting system that alerted us to uh voids and deletes that were being done in our computer system after reviewing uh employee customer tickets and video. It allowed me to identify the employee who was um zeroing out the tickets, taking the money and pocketing it. >> Okay. >> To uh brought me here today to interview her. >> Okay. According to the man's account, the employee admitted to taking money on several occasions. And in fact, she was not a new employee. Okay. >> And what happened when you got here today? >> Today I talked to her. She admitted to $200 to $250 uh of fraudulent voids that she would zero out the the ticket number um put the money in the cash register till take it to the manager's office at which point she would take it out and put it in her pocket and keep it for her personal needs. >> Was this the same employee the every time on the video? >> Every time. Yes, sir. >> Okay. And do you know who that employee is? >> Okay. And how how long has she been working here? performances from >> uh I think in about 3 years two and a half to three years. >> Okay. All right. Um you have any knowledge of her doing this prior to these uh five or six incidents? >> Uh I have documentation over the last four to six weeks I believe it is. >> I'm sure you guys are going to check further back to see. >> Oh yeah. >> Yeah. Okay. Cool. >> All right. I'll go in there and talk to her. Are they uh Is there anything else that I haven't talked about or asked you that you want to add? >> At this point, during questioning by the police, the woman showed some reluctance in recounting the story again. Each answer seeming like she was reluctantly accepting the situation. >> All right. So, in your own words, you you know why I'm here today? >> Yes, I know why I'm here. >> Okay. And I see that uh you wrote a letter. Is this the letter you wrote? Yes. >> And so you have your ID on you or do you have a Florida ID? >> Okay. Let me see. What's that? >> ID. >> All right. We're here. Oh, yo. So, tell me how you came to talk to Mr. Gong today. So, I got to repeat all that. >> Well, I haven't read that. I just know it's a letter you wrote. I'm here. I asked him and I spoke to him and I'm just speaking to you. >> Okay. So, it's the um I've been taking cash pretty much. Bottom line. >> Taking cash. say it's more than what I'm admitting to, but um it's not true. >> Okay. Paying cash from where >> the >> So, how you you just >> So, how you just take it out? I mean, you don't think that they're going to notice it's missing? I'm just cur I'm just asking. >> Dude, that's a good question. and I wasn't thinking like >> however when asked further about how she carried out the act she gave evasive and incomplete answers forcing the police to clarify details as if withholding information might lessen her culpability. >> So I mean how did you take it? Do you just take it out? Is it? I mean, >> no. I'll put the money in the register. Once I count the register down, I keep what what what's left over. >> Like if the ticket said it's supposed to be $450 and it's $475, I'll put the $450 in the >> But okay. Well, I don't I see I don't say how would there be a difference though because like when if I come in you say here your bill is 220 and I give you 220 I mean at the end of the day the machine is going to show 220 so how how they like I'm not >> he doesn't understand how you would zero it or how so >> so pretty much deleting the stuff off the screen and putting it in the register What band [ __ ] mean like voiding it out like like if I comp [Music] I get it now? >> So, how many times did you do this? >> Twice. Maybe four or five times. Five times and a period of how long [Music] three four months 5 months >> ain't a five month per you know about how much total you did >> I he say more than 2 250 I believe it's like 2 250 >> so how much do you guys have so far >> um probably closer to 400 >> by the final minute. She only tried to explain that she had used the money for her personal expenses. The woman had to face the consequences of her actions. >> Anything else you want to add to your statement? Is there a reason you took it? Well, I mean, I'm just curious. >> Bill, gas, grocery. >> Don't y'all have a program or something to help out your employees and talking? >> I was never told that. >> It's a lot of stuff I'm still learning right now. Yeah. >> All right. Explain to you what this is. This is what you're being charged with right here. You're being charged with petty theft. All right. All right. So, all you going to do is you going to swear in the test is on is on being documented on our camera that you you're promising to show up to court. It's not saying that you're guilty. is saying that I'm going to come to court now. What we going to do? Pull your mask down. Make sure I get your face on camera so you can't say it was your sister that was it. All right, take care. Happy holidays. Try to have a better day. >> Happy New Year. >> In the end, the woman was charged with petty theft and fired from the establishment. Attempting to cover up theft, even repeatedly, will ultimately lead to legal consequences and job loss. Honesty and accountability are crucial, and financial struggles do not justify breaking the law. Let's see the woman deceitful, reckless, and irresponsible. >> Step out of the car or you're going to be taken to jail. >> Kick his door in at 5:00 a.m. >> You going to kick? That's a child. >> So what? He fled from the cops. >> On June 11th, 2025, police received a report about a woman switching unpaid merchandise at Home Depot. Surveillance showed her entering with an old toilet seat under a yellow bag, then leaving the plumbing aisle with a brand new one instead. Before she could walk out, store security stopped her. Let's see what happened next when police chased after her car. >> People's going to be occupied by at least two. Hello. Step out. Go >> ahead. Step out like I'm asking you. >> Why is he stepping out? >> Cuz I asked him to. And by law, I don't have to give you a reason. Step out of the car now. >> Step out of the car or you're going to be taken to jail. [Music] The suspect had no idea it was a grave mistake. Moments later, officers tracked her down in the parking lot and swiftly placed her under arrest. [Music] >> Yeah, adult female. [Music] >> Sweet. >> You don't remember when I was at the passenger window, you reached over, put the car in the drive. Who was the guy driving? Put what car in drive? >> Oh, you talking about I put the car and drive? >> Yes. >> Yeah. >> Who was the guy and where is he at? >> What not? >> That's That's a child. >> A child? Where is he at? >> He's a child. He's not He's not with me. >> He's going to be arrested at some point. >> No, I'm just saying he's not with me. >> Where's he at now? I >> I did that. >> He was driving the car. You were the front passenger. >> But I'm saying I did that. I I take full responsibility. You can't take responsibility for somebody else driving. That's how that works. >> That's not how this works. >> I'll take full responsibility. >> Well, when I get the warrant for him, >> I'll kick his door in at 5:00 a.m. >> You going to kick his That's a child. >> So what? He [ __ ] from the cops. >> It's a felony. >> He almost crashed in a whole bunch of cars. He almost people aggravated felony. >> So you can tell me where he's at now and we can handle this peacefully or we'll come back with a warrant. The woman eventually admitted to what she had done. After officers read her rights, she explained why she ran, but her answer didn't quite match the attitude she had when she fled. >> All right, listen. They're a different agency with a different thing. >> That's fine. Flag of right. >> We're Felicia, >> right? >> Read everybody their rights. So, I'm going to read your rights and then I'll talk to you about >> Can I just dig my cheese out my butt real quick? >> Oh my gosh. Don't give it to us. Why would you flee from I mean, you know how I know. You scared? >> I mean, I'm a pretty friendly guy. I would have just stopped and answer some questions. >> He's scared. He's scared. You know what I'm saying? >> So, you had already dropped him off before that. I didn't see anybody else. >> That's what I'm trying to tell. Yeah. He's talking about, "Oh, he's out here." No, he's not. >> All right. >> I'm being honest. >> Okay. Well, I'm placing you arresting plane. Okay. Vehicle's being towed. Okay. Uh they're going to take it processing and they're going to look for elements in the front. So, that's what's happening today. You got any questions for me? >> Yeah. No. I'll give you some credit for hopping in the car and being chill. You walked in here like nothing was going on. >> You mean six? >> No. No. I just wasn't I didn't want the the girl to go to jail. You know what I'm saying? >> We We're not going to jail. It's all good. We're all good. We're even stealing. >> The items that were stolen from Home Depot and flagged her. Did you give it all back? >> I gave it back. >> Okay. Did you steal from anywhere else today? >> No. >> The woman claimed she had never done anything like this before. But when officers searched her car, what they found only raised more suspicion. >> Bunk of that car is like a bunch of like >> No, everything else mine. Cuz I, you know what I'm saying? I've been, you know what I'm saying? Like staying in the car. >> You're sure about that? >> You feel me? Yeah. I've been staying in the car. But there's like brand new boxes of cologne and perfume. >> That's mine. Yes. That's mine. >> Do you know where you purchased that at? Do you know where you purchased that at? >> Do I know where I purchased that at? >> Mhm. >> I mean, I've had it for like >> just in unopened boxes. >> Two months. >> Okay. Yeah, about two months. >> All right. >> Who I love my mommy? >> So, if we're doing >> Huh? >> I love my mommy. >> That's my mom. >> So, if I we're doing a search warrant on the car, >> that's fine. >> And all those items will be scanned and we'll be contacting all the stores and we're not going to say, "Oh, this is stolen." >> That's fine. >> You could be on any other store video stealing stuff. >> That's fine. That's fine. >> Okay. >> That's fine. >> All right. You don't want to tell us who the guy was that was in the car, the girl, whoever was driving? >> I mean, is she still on the phone? >> No, I think she hung up on her. >> You want to tell us who the other person in the car was? >> Do you want to tell us who the other person in the car was? >> Like I said, >> Oh, I understand that. >> All right. But he still fled from the cops. So when >> I take responsibility, >> we find him, >> he's going to be arrested. >> I take responsibility. >> Okay. >> I trust me, I get what you said. >> According to the report, the woman had a prior theft record from 2024, and this time she was convicted of retail theft and resisting law enforcement. I took two samples. >> Brenda, I'm going to ask. >> Don't do this to me. Please let me go home. Nope. On December 20th, 2024, officers quickly responded to a call from Walmart about a woman walking out with cosmetics without paying. But once they approached, they realized she wasn't as simple as she seemed. >> What have I done? >> So, if you want to explain to her what? >> Real quick. So, right now, you are being detained for suspicion of retail theft over at the Kohl's earlier today. Do you have an ID on you? >> No, I don't. >> Okay. >> Can I go use the bathroom real fast? Yes, I do. >> Not right now. Okay. >> Where are you coming from today? >> I'm just walking around. I just came from one of the stores. I haven't done anything wrong. >> I haven't done anything wrong. >> No. Do you? >> Ma'am, you're not free to leave at this time. >> Who's that? >> You're being detained. >> Ma'am, you are being detained for what? >> You need to stop. >> Let me see. Let me use the bathroom. >> You stand. No, you're Nope. When officers stopped her, she quickly turned uncooperative and started making demands. >> Can I call my sister? >> We're going to give you a moment to call whoever you'd like. >> Why are you entertaining me? That's me. >> That's you walking out of Kohl's >> when >> at 2 or excuse me 2:20 in the evening or the afternoon today. So here's the deal. >> I'm going to ask you again for an ID. >> I don't have one. >> Okay. What's your name to me? >> I'm going to ask you. >> My name is Bri. >> Is that short for anything? Brenda. >> All right. >> She gave her name as Brenda, but when asked for ID, the woman kept dodging and insisted she was innocent. >> Attained for suspicion of retail theft. They have you over at Kohl's here just up the way on video putting makeup in your pockets walking out of the store without paying for it. >> I didn't put makeup in my pockets at this store. >> Well, I have you I have you on video. >> Makeup. I didn't take any makeup from that store. I want to see that right now, you know. And then I want to go. I didn't take any makeup from that store. I swear I didn't. >> Here's the deal. >> Show me the makeup. >> If any of that information that you is false, that is going to be an additional charge for obstructing identification. >> No, that's me. And can I go home now? >> Not yet. >> I didn't take any makeup. I didn't take any makeup. >> I didn't. >> Like I said, my partner has video. >> I want to see the makeup I took. >> I didn't take anything. I used the sample. I need you to I need you to >> No, but I'm I'm okay. >> Brenda kept denying it, claiming she only used samples and tossed them away. >> But her shifting story only made the situation more tense. >> I I some a sample thing I used, but I didn't take any makeup. >> Well, I have you on video putting it in your pockets. >> No, that was that's a sample exact same clothes that you're wearing. >> It was a sample thing. You put it in your pockets, >> but it was a sample pockets. That doesn't matter. You can't >> I thought you could. It's a sample. >> Okay. There's nothing on there that said they were samples. They were displays are samples. I didn't I didn't even keep it. I But it was just I didn't steal like take stuff like like you know what I mean? Like stuff like that. I didn't. >> Okay. Go ahead. Hold on. >> I'm not going anywhere, sir. I No, we're done walking around. You stand right there and don't move until I tell you to. >> Yes, sir. I'm sorry. >> I'm so sorry. Could you please 10 9 >> I didn't know the samples were wrong and I threw them out. I did. They weren't even my color. You know, you're just goofing around. I didn't mean anything. I took two samples. >> Brenda, I'm going to ask you again. Do you have anything with an ID? >> I don't have anything. >> You have anything with your name on it? >> No. >> All right. Even when confronted with clear video evidence, police also discovered the tag still attached to her hoodie, sparking suspicion that she hadn't stolen from just one store. >> You ripped the You ripped the scanner off, but the tag still attached. >> I didn't write a scanner. This is not I didn't rip a scanner. This is mine. >> Look at the tag. Want me to show? >> I know. I see the tag there. But that's not that. That's mine. >> Okay. I'm >> I see that there. I have layers on today, >> girl. I'm just saying you left the tag on. >> No, I didn't leave the tag on. It's not. This is something I threw on. Okay. Okay. Okay. >> What are you looking for? >> So, according to Kohl's, she's got a Walmart cart somewhere where she was dumping stuff by a bush. She's wearing the exact same clothes that she was wearing at the time of the theft. I think that she's giving me a phony baloney name. >> The evidence was plain as day. Yet, she kept dodging, begged to go home, and even tried flirting with the cops. But none of those tricks got her anywhere. >> I'm just patient, sir. I'm sorry. You might pace, too. You're handsome, though. >> Thank you. >> You're nice looking, too. Oh, I appreciate you. That's very kind. >> You found it right here. >> Yep. >> You're the man, dude. Appreciate you. >> This is >> I think she's giving me a phony baloney name. >> I would assume so. Especially if she's not coming back. >> Correct. So, I'm going to try a couple other things. >> Did you talk to Target? Cuz this is Target's bags. >> Target. So earlier they said she didn't take anything, but that may have changed between now and then. >> I got dispatched out to Kohl's earlier today. They advised me that there was a retail theft of several pieces of makeup items offered for sale. The total value of those items is $141. They have you on video walking over to the makeup section, putting those items in your pocket, and walking past the last point of sale without procuring a form of payment. I'm talking, you're listening. >> I'm apologizing. >> Okay. The moment officers confirmed her identity and charged her with $141 retail theft, Brenda's next reaction was anything but expected. >> Do you have Don't go reaching for anything. >> I don't have anything in my pockets. >> I don't know that. >> Touch plug and go. >> So, I'm going to You are under arrest at this time for the crime of retail theft. We're going to go over right here to this black F-150. Miss Thomas, please be mindful of your steps. >> I won't let you're going to have to really help me. Okay, I've got you. I'm not going to let you fall. >> I'm just going to take your hat off. No, don't. >> I have to take it off. It's departmental policy. >> I I don't know. No, please don't. I usually I have a religious beanie that's in my purse. >> It's going to go right back on. I have to take it off real quick and then >> Oh god, don't do this to me. Please let me go home. >> Nope. We're past that point now. >> Okay, >> I want it back on now. >> I'm Brenda, >> please. >> I'm going to put it back on. I said I had to take it off for a second and put it right back. >> Can I have my religious beanie? >> Your beanie is still on your head. >> No, it's Is it on my head? Cuz I was hiding taking it off. I have a religious beanie I wear all the time. >> What color is it? >> It's black. >> It's still on your head. >> I don't know. I'm nervous. >> In the end, Brenda was officially charged with retail theft along with obstruction of identification for repeatedly giving false information and failing to provide any ID. Brenda's theft bought her nothing but a criminal record. A mistake that will follow her far longer than any makeup ever could. And now watch this shoplifting couple swear they'll stick together for life and see how that promise ends. >> Stop. Stop. Stop. >> I need a stop. You guys are >> on July 22nd, 2024 in Florida, officers responded to a target shoplifting in progress. A repeat offender couple hid electronics and police moved in after they passed checkout. Stop. >> You guys are You guys are in custody right now. We're >> We don't need any of that. >> Please wait over there. >> The male suspect kept begging for forgiveness, even taking off his glasses to look honest, but it was all a ploy to dodge charges. His behavior with his girlfriend that followed showed he didn't care one bit about what officers were saying. >> Listen, I'm going to tell you this. I'm going to tell you this. >> Any standard candy, >> the stuff that I took not to charge and ban me from all targets, they take my picture, whatever. I I'll tell them how I took it >> cuz there's there's no other people that's taking it the way I'm taking it. Okay, maybe we'll >> figure I'm telling you right now the way I'm taking it, they're not taking it the way nobody else is taking it. >> What? What? >> They got to press charges. But I want to tell them she she's just with me, bro. She's my girlfriend. She's just tagging along. Listen, she >> Is there anybody else that was with you? >> No. No. >> I put them on a beat on everything, bro. How the [ __ ] I'm taking, nobody else is taking, bro. The way I'm taking it. >> How long you been out in Lake Worth? >> I'm in 2 months, bro. I'm I'm in a halfway house. >> How But where you originally from? I just moved out here from from Philadelphia. >> From Philly? >> Yeah. >> And like we're struggling, bro. And it's just, you know what I mean? We're struggling and [ __ ] like that. >> What was this going to be for? >> It's going to pay for our rent for the next 250 each. >> Keys on. >> No, I don't. No. >> It's 250. It's 250 each in rent. We got the halfway house, bro. This is how we This is how we eat, bro. >> During questioning, he admitted to the theft, but blamed it on hard times as a newcomer from Philadelphia. Yet, store employees revealed a very different story. Last week they came in, they took some items and we left the store. So we identified them, recognized them from the subject that been targeting several other targets in the area. >> Okay. >> So they came in, they went straight to the electronic area. >> All right. I think it's just that >> we're we'll let's figure this all out. All right. >> I would never come here again. I would never come I would never catch me in Delray again, bro. >> All right. Just give us You think I can get you out there? >> You have a Philadelphia license? >> Yeah, I have a friend. I do. >> Did you see where they put that key by any chance? >> See, but they had it too. >> Uhhuh. >> Is this the camera? >> Who had that? >> That's how That's how I'm doing it, bro. >> That's exactly how I'm That's exactly how I'll never come here again. >> Do you mess around with the magnet? >> Yeah. I'll never do it again, bro. >> Okay. I'm That's when I'm in trouble. Nobody and I'll never do it again. >> The man kept making promises and pretending to cooperate, but his words showed this was not as simple as it first seemed. >> This thing is probably going to be a >> Yeah, that's going to be something else. >> It's a big crime to have this. >> It's a magnet. >> It's a magnet. >> It's a magnet. >> It's you the way that it was used. >> But you used it to bypass the security device. >> I know. I'm pretty sure that's how many. Hey, brother. Take a take a picture of me, man. Ban me. Do this. >> He said it's approaching a,000 cuz the hard drives are the big >> ban me right now. Ban me. How much is the total? >> How much? >> 934. >> 934, man. Okay. >> She's good, man. She's good, man. Can Can you bail me? Yeah. Yeah. >> I tell you if it's more than 750, it's a >> Yeah. But that's what's on sale, bro. >> No, that doesn't matter. >> They upped it for 300. >> It used to be 300 was the felony price and then they upped it to 750. >> During questioning, he admitted using a special magnet to remove security tags, a detail that made the case far more serious. And then as if the law were a flea market, he actually tried bargaining over his charges. >> You're banned. All right. So So So I'm telling you, you can't come back. All right. So what's going to happen? Like can you can they split the the amount on both of us? Like then it's not a >> Hey, can I ask you a question, bro? >> Can you split them out on both of us so it's not a felony? >> No. No. No. No. That's not That's not how that works. Yeah. >> Oh, we have both. >> She handed you the stuff and uh and she had a device that bypass the security device as well. >> You do this together. You got to go together. It's the law. >> It's not like But >> you got to understand when it's felony, you have no discretion. >> It's a misdemeanor, bro. >> It's not a misdemeanor. >> No, it's not a misdemeanor. That's a felony. >> You stole $1,000 worth of the stunt. It's not a misdemeanor. >> It's more than 750. That's felony. Despite clear evidence in his denial that his girlfriend was involved, officers bluntly laid out the couple's violations, leaving them with almost no hope. Listen, that's >> Sir, that's that's what's $449, bro. >> What's $449? >> That does not go $449. That's 15.50 a piece is $4.49. You have these Western Digitals. You have another Western Digital that's a different one. Then you have a SanDisk. Then you have Nintendo accessory, Nintendo accessory, $80 a piece. You had three $150 hard drives plus another 135 plus 189. That all adds up. >> Yeah. So, listen. It is what it is at this point. Like I said, we're here now. It is what it is. All right. >> Can I take half of it? >> Right. Your code is in the case. >> Take this bag off. I got to take one off. Both were handcuffed and escorted to the station. Desperate, the man begged and grew angry over the tight cuffs, but by then it was far too late. >> Bro, whoever cuffed you is, please, >> I'm going give you more trouble if you try to put me in here than than you unleash. I swear to God, bro. I just did 10 and I'm not going down like that. You [ __ ] hurt, bro. >> I'm showing you respect right now, brother. I'm showing respect. I'm not going to move my hand. You can hold my hand, bro. >> You see how I can fit this? >> This one right here hurts, bro. >> You You want to sweat? I'll give you >> This one right here. >> Some other cups to put on. I'll give you a fight before I go in this like this. I promise you, >> bro. Don't say that. >> The couple was officially charged with felony theft after the total value of stolen electronics exceeded $750. The man also faced an added charge for using a special device to disable security tags, making the case even more serious. From begging and bargaining to lashing out in frustration, none of it mattered. The law made them pay the price. >> What did I resist, though? >> I'm done talking. Let me know when I resist. Sit down. Sit down. Sit down. They're talking to me. They're talking to me. I got video. >> On March the 6th, 2024, officers responded to a chaotic scene at a Walmart where Ariel was caught shoplifting. The situation quickly spiraled out of control with her young children witnessing the drama leading to multiple charges in a tense standoff. >> Hey, police. Go with them. You're not resisting them cuz they're you're detained for shoplifting. Go over there. >> I wasn't even I just paid for it. [Music] >> Get in the office. Come on. >> Your ID. >> I don't have it on me to the car. And I don't have >> Take the bag off. Take the bag off. >> For what? >> Take the bag off. >> What are you doing? >> Put your hands behind your back. >> For what? Heather, >> stop resisting your hand. Why are you putting my hands behind my back? Heather, >> I don't know, bro. >> Stop. >> They're embarrassing me. Heather, my kids, please, cuz they're embarrassing me. >> I didn't do anything. Using her kids as a free pass, but the cops instantly exposed her shameless act. I didn't even do anything to resist anything. What the hell? Pour it out. Pour it out. There's nothing in there. >> Oh, okay. >> I already paid for that. >> No, she paid for that. That's all they need to pay for. >> Call the people that are sit down. >> My kids can't be in here with them with us. >> Sit down. >> Literally, she's answer. >> You're doing this. You're acting a fool in front of them. >> No, I'm not. >> Guess what? Shut up. >> Shut up. Heather, we're on the grocery side by the wine. Kiana is screaming. >> Nobody's coming in here. >> They're pushing me. Come get my kids. >> They're doing crazy to me, man. They're doing crazy to me right now. Y'all give me a hug because they don't like black people. Give me a hug. >> No, you should be embarrassed because you're acting like a parent. >> No, I'm not. >> Yes, you are. You're stealing in front of your kids and you're going to jail. >> I will get my credit card out and pay for everything right now if you want me to do that. But can you please not make my kid stand right here? Like I promise to God I will do that. >> If that's the issue. >> It wasn't cuz it broke or something. >> Don't cry. It's okay. I did not grab you, bro. >> I have you on video right here grabbing my arm. You need to cut my finger. >> You pushed me. I did not touch you. Bro, you didn't bring the camera. >> You grabbed my arm and I never watch you push me. Just right now touch you. >> My hands were on my phone and on the car. >> Can you take them outside, please? >> Finally, her friend arrived to take the children away, leaving Ariel without her get out of jail free card. Without missing a beat, she went right back to playing the innocent victim. As if she did nothing wrong. >> Okay, it's okay. >> We're not going to keep talking. >> What do you mean? I'm taking this off of you cuz we're not going to have somebody on the phone while you're under arrest. >> You're not going to do what? >> You're not going to do what? I'm sorry. >> You're not talking to anybody. >> Why are you acting like that towards me? Like I did something aggressive. I didn't put >> You are You're resisting. >> I didn't resist anything. >> Okay. Bullit. >> What did I resist on camera? >> What did I resist? >> Okay, we're going to play stupid. >> What did I resist though? >> I'm done talking. >> Let me know what I resist. >> Going to jail. It's okay. That's all you need. >> When did I resist? >> If you want me to pay the cash money, I can pay cash instead of >> not pay nothing cuz you had the chance to do it and you didn't. >> I didn't want to go through. And so you walked out of the store with all their >> Excuse me. >> Get the parking real fast. >> You got your ID on you? >> Sit down for >> All right. Well, >> no. You okay? >> Yeah. >> Where is it at? >> Right here. I'll have to take a picture. What does she do? She went to another register where she was supposed to ring everything up. Well, she only pays for a Dr. Pepper. And then she walks straight out the door. Before I got here, they tried to confront her and then she tried to walk away from them. And then that's when she started this whole fiasco. Okay. This is everything I need though, right? This is all her stuff she had with her. Okay, cool. And then you said one more time, the county, >> the scambi county. >> Escambia. You all remember that? >> Escambia. >> Scambia. >> Oh, Scami. >> Scambia. >> In the end, Ariel was charged with battery on an officer, and resisting with violence, a thirdderee felony in Florida, punishable by up to 5 years in prison, probation, and a $5,000 fine. Parents actions in stressful situations shape how children perceive authority and handle stress. Modeling calm and respect teaches valuable life lessons. Next, watch this woman go crazy after being caught red-handed. >> Do what I tell you. >> Let me go. >> You [ __ ] >> I call my husband now. >> Stop. >> On May 26th, 2024, police responded to a woman caught pushing a cart full of goods out of Walmart without paying. When stopped, she exploded. And here's how officers handled it. Pull away from me. >> Do not. I need my bag. >> Don't. I had surgery on my shoulder. Let me go. >> Then walk. >> Don't talk to me like that. >> Then walk on your own. >> You don't want me to cuss at you? You will not cuss at me. >> Yes. Please keep on because I've got an officer that's in my family that's on his way. >> Cool. >> And I He can tell you that you won't talk to me like that. And you're not going to keep swinging me around. >> Then walk. >> I'm walking. >> The suspect was handcuffed immediately while store staff counted the stolen goods. So many that officers couldn't help but laugh when she began to resist. Your pain's in my arm. >> I'm not being touching her. >> Some glasses rather. >> All right. >> Where are you taking the lock potential in the jail? >> I'm not going to That's funny. >> Let myself go. >> You're under arrest. >> It's pinching me. >> Sit down. >> And you going to abuse me. You might do it to everybody else. So you will not >> You're going to do what I tell you. >> Let me You [ __ ] >> Do what I tell you. >> Call my husband now. >> Stop. >> Call my husband. >> Let's go put her in the car. >> Call my husband. Let me go. Let me go. >> You are going to jail. >> You cannot hit me like that. >> Stop. >> The woman screamed non-stop as she was escorted to the car. Minutes later, she tried pressuring officers by claiming her young children were trapped inside the store. But was that really true? >> I'm not going anywhere until I talk to my hotel. >> Let me go. >> Get in the car. >> Take a seat. >> Kick your feet down. Okay, we'll get you tended to at the jail. >> Y'all can't take me for something that I didn't do. My kids are unattended. >> You have kids here? >> My kids are unattended. >> Where? >> At the store. >> Do you have kids here? For real? >> Are the kids at this store? >> I'm a 16. >> A 16-year-old. >> 053. >> Can I Can I please go in and sit down for a second? >> Please. >> Just wait here. AMS is coming here. Did you guys see her come into the store? >> We did. We did not. We picked her up when she was shopping on an aisle. We watched her come from the back of the store all the way up through Garden Center, try the garden center gate, which was locked. Then she looked, saw the uh east emergency uh access out the side. So, she goes up to it, tries the bar, looks around, repositioned some of the stuff she had, pushed through that bar, and that's when Kevin got to the gates, held it. Uh, and then we had a female witness come up. At no time did I see any children. I want to look and see if I can. >> All right. Yeah. She's saying she has some juvenile children here and I don't want to leave. That's fine. I just want to check. I don't want to leave them here. >> No, I understand. >> Officers took statements from store security and shockingly they confirmed no child was ever with her. But the drama was far from over. >> Have you been stopped here before? >> If you want to have a seat. Stop for shoplifting. >> You guys want to have a seat? Um, I had a situation like 5 years ago where I had some people with me and we came to this room right here, but it was sort of >> Oh, yes, ma'am. I knew that name was familiar. You dealt with me last time as well. You've lost a lot of weight since then. >> Yeah, but it was it was um >> almost a felony. >> No, it stopped there. Prosecutor >> I understand, but it was it was thrown out. I didn't have to go to jail or anything like that because of the circumstances >> back then. We had to go to court and if I believe I remember correctly never showed up. >> No, I am here and handcuff. >> Could you hand me my please? >> No. So EMS just pulled up. They're going to come in and check on you and make sure you're okay. Okay. >> The staff confirmed this was her second offense at the same store. They then provided camera evidence despite her desperate excuses. >> All right. This is She tried the gate first. Gates locked. >> All right. That's the camera. >> Okay. >> I don't I'm not sure how what happened with the camera. So, I'm going to do it as separate. >> Yeah, I didn't. >> No, I didn't. That's her. >> Oh, she's the camera lady. That was good. I was trying to say that the serial number the Bronco was the wrong calendar. >> I didn't say that. The worker stood up. >> Then she goes to this fire door over here. >> I bought the camera. >> Mhm. >> I still have the receipt. >> So, first she pushes the lever in and she stands in for a minute. >> Oh, you saw the face. >> Yeah. >> She got so excited. >> Yeah. >> No, I didn't. If you see what I'm doing, I'm licking my lips. >> Okay. >> I went to the tanning bed and my lips were chapped. And then she swapped over the road so that she can get the cart for the door. But if you pay attention, I just pulled the car there. Pulls the car. >> Pro the door open. >> That's when Kevin intercept. >> What were you going to do after that? >> I seen him right there. >> If he wouldn't have come, what were you going to do? >> I was going to go right to the front and pay. I have, if you look at my wallet right now, I have the money to pay for it. >> But she said that she didn't pull the card out the door at all. She gets the cart fully out the door before he approaches her. >> We're under arrest for felony, shoplifting, and obstruction. Okay. >> Look, >> you lied to me. You tried to argue with me. You tried to fight everybody here. You you you didn't try and fight me physically. Granted, but you argued with me the whole time. >> He recorded me. >> No, he took he took a picture. >> The suspect kept up her act, using her children to gain sympathy and blame her circumstances, but it seemed far too late. >> What's the address that they are at or going to be at tonight? Cuz you're not going to be out of jail until Tuesday. Well, hang on a second. How old is the second child? Not the 16-year-old. >> She's 14. >> So, the 14-year-old was at home alone. >> No, the uh the 16-year-old is there with her and she was supposed to drive by and pick up her older sister. >> You just said the 16-year-old was here. >> I said she drove here. And remember, I just said I don't know if she's still here. >> I didn't I didn't see her car. >> All right. Is there any way I can say one more thing to Samantha? >> Miss Samantha wants to talk to you. >> And um gentlemen, is he your coworker colleague? >> Um he works. >> He works for you. >> Yes, ma'am. >> 601. >> I just like for you to understand >> that I was upset >> and I apologize. I understand, man. But we gave you every opportunity to cooperate with us and all you wanted to do was was argue. You have to understand where we're coming from on it, too. >> But I thought >> we gave you an opportunity. >> But I thought the opportunity for me to cooperate was coming with you. You said to comply and come with you, right? >> We told you that several times and we stood there for about 10 minutes arguing. Maybe not 10 minutes, but a good 5 minutes arguing about it. >> And I was I apologized. I was scared. I was worried about the husband. >> Please don't lock me up for this. I will lose my career. I'll lose my family. I begging you. >> Please. >> When she realized the lies wouldn't work, the woman begged for mercy. But Walmart stood firm. Security confirmed she was no exception to their zero tolerance for thieves. >> I lock up people for doing a lot less than this. I had one earlier today that was a little over $40 and they got locked up. So if I lock them up, I have to lock you up. >> I'll never shut my face here, please. >> It's fairness and consistency. If I'm not fair and consistent, then I lose my job. And I'm not losing my job for anybody. Anybody. >> I'll never shut my face around here again. >> I ma'am, I understand that you're concerned about losing your career. But what you don't understand is that if I cut you a break and I let you go, I lose my career. And that's how I support my family. >> And I have to support my family. >> My family before you did. I'm sorry >> for that. Well, then I gave you They're being notified right now that you're restricted from Walmart property for at least the next years. Don't you cannot enter any or you will be arrested criminal trespass. >> We're done with her. >> Yeah, she's good to go. >> Come on. Let's walk out. >> Samantha, >> I can't tell. >> Please, I cannot. >> No other option. Get up and walk. >> In the end, the woman was charged with felony shoplifting and obstruction. She was banned from Walmart properties and now faces prosecution in court. Once again, a mother tried to use her children and circumstances to excuse her crimes.
