He received 10 years in prison, 16 years of extended supervision plus restitution and fines. A stolen red SUV became the focus of Florida Highway Patrol on September 24th, 2023 after it was reported traveling along Interstate 75 from Riverview. October 25th, 2023 put Hails Corner's police on the trail of a vehicle that had escaped a Greenfield pursuit the previous day. An officer located the vehicle and activated the emergency lights, but the driver, later identified as 17-year-old Jeremiah, immediately fled. terminating the runway. The vehicle had been reported stolen from Milwaukee and Jeremiah was found guilty of fleeing or eluding an officer and secondderee recklessly endangering safety. He received 2 years at a community reintegration center plus 700 in fines and 164 in restitution. August 4th, 2024 turned a stolen car report at Cleveland Hopkins airport into a pursuit that would cross the Ohio and Pennsylvania state line. The suspect was identified as 23-year-old Mel Scrugs, who allegedly continued fleeing as authorities pursued the stolen vehicle toward Interstate 76 in Pennsylvania. >> We're still eastbound Cleveland. While the incident involved collisions with police and civilian vehicles in Ohio, he faced failure to comply unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and felonious assault. In Pennsylvania, charges included receiving stolen property fleeing or attempting to elude reckless endangerment, reckless driving, and criminal mischief.
