On October 20th, 2022, a red Chevrolet Camaro caught the attention of Arkansas State Police after being clocked well above the posted speed limit on a busy interstate. What started as a routine enforcement moment immediately escalated when the driver refused to cooperate and chose movement over compliance. 40 westbound. We just wanted to cast the track. clear. already westbound cutting in and out. He's going on the left shoulder. He's trying to get around these big trucks. They're trying to haul him up. The pursuit was discontinued due to the increasing danger posed to surrounding traffic and the unpredictable behavior of other motorists who failed to yield properly. Many viewers agree the trooper made the right call to disengage given the crowded roadway and lack of awareness from nearby drivers. Do you see it the same way or would you have wanted officers to continue? Let us know in the comments. Tuesday, June 20th, 2023. A Brown Ford Explorer drew police attention in Conway, Arkansas after officers received word of a vehicle fleeing within city limits. The reason for alarm grew quickly as the driver refused to stop and continued north through populated streets. What about us? Soon as I get a clear spot. >> Hands. Hands. Hands. >> HANDS. >> Shut your mouth. >> What the You just did. >> I don't understand. >> My name is Shut up. Shut up. >> Once the vehicle was brought to a halt, officers encountered seven occupants inside four of them, juveniles, and the driver later identified as 18-year-old Shawn Jones. Jones was taken into custody after resisting during arrest and ultimately faced charges including fleeing and resisting arrest while the juveniles were safely removed and turned over to guardians. February 7th, 2024, assistance was requested as a stolen U-Haul cargo van approached the city limits of Tonnytown, Arkansas following a pursuit that had already crossed multiple jurisdictions. The situation was already volatile due to reports of extreme speeds and a violent collision earlier along the route. South on industrial. South on industrial industrial south. Still out. They were charged with multiple serious offenses including aggravated assault possession of destructive devices, felony fleeing, and criminal conspiracy while the involved officer was treated and released with minor injuries. On April 25th, 2023, Florida Highway Patrol troopers responded to an unusual call in Kier County involving a woman reporting imaginary criminal activity tied to her own family. The encounter quickly changed tone once troopers observed impaired driving behavior during a roadside welfare check. working on you. Thank you so much. This is the media. We need ahead. Go ahead. Come on, man. >> Your hand your hand. >> Why are you following me? Hi everybody. I mean my hell is my family. Why were they? >> After the pursuit concluded, 53year-old Jana Aliesa, St. John, was taken into custody following resistance during arrest and an attempted escape on foot. She was charged with fleeing and eluding, resisting an officer with violence and driving under the influence, marking her third documented offense of that nature. June 6th, 2023, traffic along the five freeway became the backdrop for an extended police pursuit that stretched across Orange and Los Angeles counties. The driver refused to stop and continued forward even as the vehicle's condition visibly deteriorated. And we can anticipate another spike strip here in just a little bit. We'll keep an eye out for that coming up uh in the next half mile or so. There's the spike. And it looks like a pretty successful spike. Pretty much uh nailed it. We'll see if those tires react and start to lose air, but she went right over them, I believe, with all four tires, squarely over that uh textbook spike uh spike toss. And uh you saw her try to evade. It was already too late. She tried to switch over to that number two lane. Uh but it looked like a pretty good spike. So, we'll see. It almost looks like she's already slowing down. And it looks like both uh both of the front tires, the right and left tires on the front end are gradually losing air. That driver side tire almost completely flat. And you can see that right passenger side tire uh going flat as well. again uh as she's basically driven over two spike strips. That last one clearly was effective. Was able to inject a This all started as a welfare check down in Orange County. CHP Orange County uh division actually San Juan Capistrono officers trying to uh check on her when she fled and the pursuit began northbound on the five freeway and she has refused to pull over ever since. She was holding steady straight up the five at the tail end of rush hour making her way into LA County with very light traffic all the way up through uh downtown LA and now into the San Fernando Valley where this pursuit's been going on for more than an hour. And now a slow speed chase continuing up the five freeway with almost all four tires impacted by several spike strip attempts uh tearing apart that driver's side tire completely. That front left tire is gone. So, that's one rim. And then, uh, the front right tire is flat as well. And here comes the pit attempt just barely fast enough as that CHP unit pulls right up along her right rear, attempting to fishtail the vehicle and uh, spin it around. So, there's the pit. And now you can see that that rim just spinning and grinding straight into the pavement. of the five freeway here. And now the vehicle coming to a complete stop. This pursuit has halted here in Silar, northbound side of the five freeway. California Highway Patrol moving out of the way, getting rid of uh any crossfire risk here. And you can see uh six units uh now able to make that arrest in the next few seconds here. They will instruct her to exit the vehicle. We'll see if she cooperates at all. Uh uh officers have fired something in the back seat there as an arrest team now approaches the vehicle with a shield. Look at them approaching that back seat. Approaching the back seat towards the driver trying to get a view from the rear. And we'll get a better idea if there is anybody in the back seat here. They've now shattered that rear window. And we'll push all the way in there. Josh, let's push all the way in if we can and see if we could. As they do this, they clear those windows and you can see if there's anybody uh or anything of interest in the rear back seats, welfare check. And other than that, uh we don't have any information regarding any crimes that have been committed other than the fact that she has led the California Highway Patrol on a 50-mi chase or more up the five freeway from Orange County into the San Frernando Valley. We find ourselves in Zilar on the northbound side of the five freeway. Once the chase ended in Silar, California highway patrol officers took the driver into custody following a brief standoff on the freeway shoulder. The woman was arrested without further escalation and later faced charges related to fleeing and reckless driving across multiple jurisdictions. On March 3rd, 2021, a Georgia State Patrol traffic stop was initiated on Interstate 675 after an officer observed a vehicle with illegal window tint. That simple violation turned serious when the driver accelerated away through the emergency lane instead of stopping. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Get on the ground. Oh, stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Get on the ground. Get on the ground. On the ground. Yeah. After the crash and arrest, the driver identified as Naimi Greavves was found to have multiple active warrants, including parole violations and failure to appear. He was transported for medical evaluation before being booked into the Clayton County Jail on charges including fleeing reckless driving and outstanding warrants. August 10th, 2025, officers responding to a street takeover in Orange County, Florida, suddenly found themselves surrounded by vehicles fleeing at high speed. One gray Acura immediately stood out after nearly striking officers attempting to enter the parking lot. Photoshop for you. No, no, no. Heat. Heat. going up. Come on. Take a young Heat. Heat. Heat. Get both those hands out the door. >> Following the pursuit, Michael Sanchez was taken into custody and later stated he panicked and followed other fleeing vehicles without understanding the situation. He faced charges related to fleeing reckless driving and vehicle registration violations while the incident served as a reminder of the dangers tied to coordinated street takeovers. August 15th, 2023, burglary suspects in a dark gray Mercedes sedan caught the attention of Los Angeles Police Department officers in the San Fernando Valley. The vehicle immediately fled east, threading through Southern California traffic across multiple freeways. stay on and now coming to Yeah. Now off of the freeway. This is at the exit ramp. >> Yeah. >> Okay. He's on Surface Street. He's making a left now on Baseline. Going westbound on Baseline Avenue. And now maybe preparing to go the opposite way on the 215 freeway. Doing a 180 and now going back northbound on the 215 freeway. And that's what I was starting to get at there. If we see these kinds of turns, it tells you, wait a minute, I'm not so comfortable. Well, I don't know my way around here or my final destination is not going in the direction that he was going. So, for whatever reason, we're speculating, but for whatever reason, he's decided to go ahead and reverse course, get off the freeway, and now going the opposite way northbound on the 215 freeway. Now, I would expect him to stay on the 215 freeway all the way up to the Cohone Pass because if he gets on to the 210, which he could do, then he knows he's in for some more traffic. And something tells me that this guy does not want to keep fighting that traffic that he's been fighting for the better part of the last hour or so. That's just a guess, but obviously he may have a destination in mind and that might be taking priority. In any event, he's going northbound now on the 215 freeway towards the Kahome Pass. We'll see. A wild look at them cutting off that back truck. A wild swerve in front of that 18-wheeler. A great move if you're trying to lose those officers, but there's plenty behind them to make up for that last minute move. Another wild lefthand turn through that uh fortunately green light. And now this pursuit again back on surface go ahead to to be able to pull that off. And now we are on Highland Avenue back on side streets. You know, we said early on here that it was an uneventful pursuit and that's what you want to see from law enforcement's perspective. Um blowing through a red light. It just turned green. But you see people there. I don't know if that was a baby stroller or a shopping cart, >> but you see people at intersections and you have a car going this fast. Chris, you start talking about some real dangerous possibilities. >> You've got innocent motorists left and right. Pedestrians, what was an uneventful pursuit may very quickly become very eventful here. Here comes the pit right along the right fender there and spinning that Mercedes out of control. Doing a full 180 and disabling that vehicle for now. We'll see if there's anything left in the tank there. He has come to a complete stop. He is now facing southbound face to face with these three CHP units. Head on now with his hands and arms in the air. Driver getting out of the vehicle. It is over for him. He understands that that vehicle wasn't going anywhere and his time is up. The driver calmly giving up here, proned out, assuming the position right there uh in front of those officers. Appears to be obeying the commands. But remember, there are two other suspects that we are aware of inside that vehicle. So, a textbook pit maneuver to finish this guy off and end this pursuit. Exactly the way they train at the academy. A perfect 180 face to face with those officers. Immediately, they all jumped out and the suspect fortunately gave up as they now attempt to detain the driver, detain the driver of that Mercedes-Benz. Again, we don't know if that Mercedes belongs to this guy or perhaps if it was indeed a stolen vehicle. We only know that the original one was burglary. These are burglary suspects as uh CHP and it appears uh San Bernardino Sheriff now involved in this pursuit. Uh as they appear to be taking over this arrest here uh it looks like a number of different agents >> given up as quickly. It's rare you see I mean this was a driver. >> Here comes somebody else. Here comes somebody else. Here it comes. The passenger climbing out of the back seat into the driver's seat over the center console now about to about to give himself up hopefully here. We will see. He may be injured. I'm not sure. He is collapsing out of this vehicle. >> And now another person visible in the passenger seat. So that would add up to three. If there was a fourth, we don't know. But that passenger from the back seat crawling over the driver's side onto the pavement there with his hands up appears to be cooperating as well. This would be suspect number two out of the back seat, driver in custody, and then one more person in the passenger seat who will be ordered out of the vehicle. But uh it doesn't appear and you got to wonder why he didn't just come out of the uh out of the uh the back seat the good oldfashioned way by opening those doors, but for some reason he climbed out. Maybe the child lock was on. Who knows? >> After the pursuit ended on surface streets in the Inland Empire, all three suspects surrendered without further resistance. The driver and two passengers were taken into custody and later faced burglary and fleeing related charges stemming from the incident. April 3rd, 2025, a Florida Highway Patrol trooper attempted a traffic stop near mile marker 88 on Interstate 4 for illegal window tint. The driver initially complied before abruptly fleeing into nearby residential areas. 1540 got one running eastbound on lead. It's a silver Corolla. company left taking a right on Palmer which will be east. Passing good bridge. Passing good bridge. All right, we made a U-turn going northbound on Lake Pike approaching Aloma. We're taking a right on Loma so that we going eastbound. >> See another unit. Tell that unit to watch out. We're going 12 whiskey. >> 14 units responding. They're currently 12 whiskey. >> Self correct. Selfcorrect. I got two units. >> Self corrected. Push your current 440. >> I'm pushing 436. Heavy traffic coming. I got two. Push your current. >> He's doing in the back. Hey, GET ON THE GROUND. GET ON THE GROUND. GET ON THE GROUND. GET ON THE GROUND. On October 8th, 2022, a vehicle traveling well above the speed limit on Antioch Road in Mon, Georgia, immediately raised concerns when officers noticed a person sitting on the roof. They found power. >> After crashing and fleeing on foot, the driver was apprehended and found in possession of a stolen firearm with an altered serial number. He was booked into the Bib County Jail on charges including fleeing firearm possession, suspected impairment, and possession of marijuana. March 31st, 2023, Florida Highway Patrol troopers began tracking a stolen vehicle traveling northbound on Interstate 75 through Lee County. April 6th, 2022, South Carolina Highway Patrol officers were already searching for a black Chevrolet Impala linked to a prior incident when it refused to stop on Highway 11. Once the vehicle came to a stop, both occupants were taken into custody without further resistance. The driver was arrested on outstanding warrants and additional fleeing charges stemming from the pursuit. May 17th, 2022, Indiana State Police attempted a traffic stop after a driver crossed the center line on State Road 15. The driver initially complied before abruptly accelerating into nearby farmland. >> Real quick. Okay.
