On April 28th, 2024, Michigan State Police started receiving frantic reports about a driver barreling the wrong way down multiple freeways near Detroit. Troopers soon realized the woman behind the wheel was not slowing down for lights or sirens. And every mile she continued raised the odds of a catastrophic head-on crash. Sergeant, I'm going to take it out if it uh if I get a chance. All right. 50's on the wrong side. Now I'm on the shoulder. Need to take it out if I get a chance to. Okay. Good pit. Good pit. At the Detroit Detention Center, troopers identified the driver as Abigail Boou and her breath tests reportedly showed blood alcohol levels far above the legal limit, leaving her facing serious drunk driving related charges after traveling nearly 30 m against traffic. But for the trooper, do you think he deserved a 30-day suspension for driving the wrong way to pit the suspect and stop the danger? Let us know what you think. March 6th, 2021 started with Georgia troopers hearing reports of a Dodge Charger tearing through downtown Atlanta while spinning tires near Centennial Olympic Park. The driver ignored multiple patrol cars almost immediately, turning a loud night in the city into a rapidly escalating police chase. 35 1080 1080. You got 1050 right here. Jimmy Turner was eventually taken into custody and booked into the Fulton County Jail after crashing the Charger into traffic while trying to escape. Investigators later tied him to hit and run related allegations along with fleeing charges while several civilians and pedestrians were lucky to walk away after narrowly avoiding the chaos he caused downtown. On May 19th, 2021, deputies in North Dakota attempted to stop a stolen Pontiac Grand Prix just minutes after it had been taken from a Grand Forks gas station. Instead of pulling over, the driver blasted down Interstate 29 at tripledigit speeds, forcing deputies into a dangerous pursuit near an active construction zone. Dispatch marker 1027. Door opening. Passenger Elellanena Fedelland survived the crash and continued recovering afterward, while investigators spent months examining whether the collision was intentional and why deputies continued following the vehicle through the construction area. February 11th, 2025 became a very long day for officers in St. Joseph, Missouri after they spotted a gold Chevy Impala tied to several previous police evasions. The driver kept slipping away earlier in the day, but by nighttime the same car was back on the streets and refusing to stop yet again. >> I'm heading south. >> I just hit it. I just hit it. Police later identified the driver as Zayn Walters, who admitted there was methamphetamine inside the overturned Impala after the pursuit finally ended in a violent crash. Officers recovered drugs, paraphernelia scales, and multiple cards from the vehicle while Walters was booked on aggravated fleeing charges, controlled substance possession, and several outstanding warrants. On January 2nd, 2023, deputies in Hernando County, Florida, attempted to arrest Alan Scott McCrae after spotting him at a Speedway gas station tied to an active warrant. Instead of surrendering, investigators said McCrae reversed his Honda toward a deputy before speeding away into the night. requesting eval. Five. Wait a minute. Let him know we're staying up now. Authorities connected him to multiple felony related allegations tied to fleeing law enforcement and assaulting an officer with the vehicle, while troopers noted the damaged Honda had already been running on deflated rear tires before the arrest. January 16th, 2021 looked routine at a Georgia road check until a black Hyundai Elantre stopped twice and then suddenly accelerated away from troopers. Officers quickly realized the driver had no intention of cooperating, especially after the car nearly forced another truck off the roadway during the chase. Big girl. Do it again. Do it again. Investigators also reported smelling marijuana on her and later obtained a blood sample after she admitted smoking shortly before the pursuit, leading to charges connected to fleeing reckless driving and impaired driving related offenses. On February 21st, 2024 Florida troopers responded to reports involving a grey Audi connected to a hit-and-run crash in Escambia County. Within moments, the driver was tearing across highways and city streets at extreme speeds, leaving troopers and deputies scrambling to keep up. >> Industrial. There he goes. Coming across industrial. >> I'll stay on five. Just let me know when you get finished looking for there and then we'll cut him with >> We'll do air 31. I don't think he could get slowed up in time. That's going to be a great Tacoma that just got signal forward. >> So, he's uh extreme reckless. Just ran right into the back of that guy. >> All right, he took the exit. I'll give out the updates. He took the exit and then he's getting right back on westbound. Getting right back on westbound. Cars coming the opposite direction. I think they'll be past you by the time you get there. So, keep at it. There you go. You just passed them. You're you're clear. If there's any units available, if you could get down from Molino Road. >> It's already late. They're just coming up on Molino. Just coming up on Molino. And he's making the right turn on Molina. I think she is dazed and confused there. Clear the car. Okay, they got the driver in custody. Driver in custody. That was a good pit Tallahassee and that was definitely a uh a roll at the end of that. I got uh five troopers out with it. The 18-year-old driver from Wisconsin was eventually arrested after the heavily damaged Audi rolled over at the end of the pursuit. Investigators connected him to multiple hit and run allegations, reckless fleeing charges, and dangerous driving accusations after several crashes occurred during the chase, including near misses with school buses and civilian vehicles. One evening in Detroit, Michigan, state troopers rushed to assist local police after reports of gunfire erupted outside a club. Witnesses quickly pointed officers toward a white Chevrolet Impala leaving the area, and the driver immediately fled when troopers tried to stop him. Let me take this priority. There's no traffic speed. All right, we're still eastbound. We're up to 75 and we're 375 through Russell. Speed 50. Through Russell, speed's 50. LAY ON YOUR FACE. LAY ON YOUR FACE. LAY ON YOUR FACE. GET DOWN in the car. Anybody? >> Car's clear. We got one out of city. say good job 220 on him. >> Okay. >> You hit it or anything? >> Why are we here? >> I'm sorry. I did something. >> Well, you should have just stopped. You didn't have to do anything. >> The suspect was eventually taken into custody after the pursuit ended, although investigators later noted it remained unclear whether he was ever directly linked to the reported shooting. Troopers continued interviewing witnesses from the club while the driver faced fleeing related charges and questioning connected to the blood found on his clothing that night. April 6th, 2023 turned chaotic in Los Angeles after officers tracked down a reportedly stolen vehicle tied to an armed and dangerous suspect in the Pico Union area. The driver spent nearly an hour circling downtown streets at reckless speeds while passengers kept jumping out one by one during the chase. Can't go off of the vehicle license plate because it appears to be a stolen vehicle and so they have limited knowledge about the driver. But once again, you can see he is posing a real danger to all of these other motorists as he speeds down Venice Boulevard at upwards of 50 miles per hour. A spike strip. A spike strip. It missed. A failed spike at Venice and Bonnie Bray. Continuing westbound Venice Boulevard. >> Thank you. A northbound turn onto Courtland Avenue. Another suspect jumping out, running for it. They're going to take him into custody in short order here. And the driver is continuing once again. So now three people have jumped out of this vehicle and the driver continuing the pursuit. Again, this is a stolen vehicle and we're told uh by sources that there was also a felony want for the driver of this car. So it's more than just Grand Theft Auto. There are additional charges. Yeah, you can't help but presume that this is probably an area that he's very familiar with, if not resides in. Too early to tell. Again, three suspects jumping out of the vehicle in this neighborhood. And we believe at least one or two of them have been taken into custody. And hopefully LAPD is in the process of trying to gain more intel. Look at all of these units. Not only the units behind him, but at some of these intersections, there are units that have been able to set up for him. and even attempt several spike strips. But so far, we have not seen any successful spikes just yet. At one point, he did fish tail quite a bit. And we'll see. There he is coming out. Coming out still pushing the gas pedal trying to get away from those officers, but that vehicle is Look at that. There's more flat tires. In fact, both of those tires on the right side are flat. And the vehicle obviously starting to struggle here as he struggles to maintain control of the vehicle, wobbling back and forth as he tries to control that steering wheel. It's not cooperating. And I think it's fair to say, Jory, this vehicle now on borrowed time as they are now setting up at various intersections along Pico Boulevard getting ready for the termination of this pursuit. Yeah, more pedestrians coming out catching a glimpse of this. You can see them spectators trying to see this pursuit come past their neighborhood here. Uh but there are risk factors. And unfortunately, well, fortunately, it's uh a late hour, so we're not dealing with, you know, daytime traffic. Uh the only uh more ideal situation would be if he was on the freeway. Look at that. More spike strips. He's going to drive around that spike, but uh there's not much tire left to spike. I mean, there's pretty much uh you know, it's pretty much game over at this point. He's on that. He's on his last few miles here. But uh the only thing better or safer would be on the freeway. Right now, though, that doesn't seem to be an option for him. He has bypassed every opportunity to get on the freeway and he is just crawling now up Alvarado Street once again choosing the same streets over and over again which has allowed them to set up at intersections ahead of him uh not only to set up spike strips but also to close off additional traffic doing or repeated circles along the same exact streets. It's telling that even as the pursuit has slowed down to 20 25 miles per hour coming really close to those parked cars, it's telling that they have not given the go-ahad for a pit maneuver. It seems like relatively good conditions for a pit maneuver to put the final nail in the coffin of this pursuit. However, there must be a reason why they are not opting for that pit maneuver. They're continuing to let this drag on uh despite the fact that it has slowed down tremendously. compliments of those spike attempts that have successfully flattened almost all four tires and uh those units are continuing to follow at a close distance. They could easily pit him if they wanted to, but for some reason they have not. And in any event, that pursuit now coming to a grinding halt here, it looks like along Alvarado Street just shy of Olympic Boulevard. And this might be it. He's pushing the pedal to the metal and the car is not cooperating. It looks like this has come to a dead stop on Alvarado Street. Officers getting out of their cruisers where they're might be ready to uh surrender here. You could see him maybe communicating. Uh hands in hands not in the air. He's out of the vehicle. There's the hands. Hands up in the air. His back facing those officers stepping away from the vehicle slowly. And now it appears he is giving himself up. They are uh not going to take any chances with him. They are going to continue to instruct him uh to do a number of things and uh eventually he'll be proned out here in just a second. He's walking away from them for some reason. And now on his knees. Right. That's right. Here he is proned out. All eyes. By the end of the pursuit, both the driver and a female passenger surrendered peacefully after the car was reduced to sparks and shredded rims. Investigators continued searching for additional passengers who bailed out earlier while the suspect faced stolen vehicle allegations, felony warrants, and multiple reckless driving related charges. On April 2nd, 2025, Oklahoma City officers attempted a traffic stop that quickly spiraled into a police pursuit across busy streets. The suspect refused to pull over, forcing officers to bring in tactical intervention units before things became even more dangerous. >> So many cars going northbound on Sunny Lane approaching I4 to yield right now. >> Your call has been updated. Watch out. Fox in the driver's seat. >> I believe so. We're going to be getting westbound from lane. Uh we are getting I40 attempted to TVI just uh on the on-ramp westbound >> traffic speeds are about 75 miles an hour. Police later identified the driver as Desaine Jefferson, who was arrested after the chase ended near Pennsylvania Avenue and Reno Avenue. Investigators said Jefferson faced charges including possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, endangering others while eluding police and flight to avoid arrest connected to Texas authorities. January 8th, 2024 became one of the most disturbing calls officers in Trotwood, Ohio had seen in years after reports came in about a man intentionally running over his own daughter. When police arrived, the suspect was already armed and openly pointing long guns from inside his truck, setting the stage for an extremely dangerous confrontation. Okay. >> High power right away two. 33. Fire. Right. South and north are already passed. dispatch 35 out. James Michael Scurvvin was later sentenced to between 58 and 63 and a half years in prison after being convicted on a long list of violent charges involving police officers, firearms, and vehicular assault. Officer Michael Richardson suffered severe injuries that forced him into medical retirement, while Scurvven's daughter survived and recovered from the attack that began the entire chain of events. September 26th, 2024 started with South Carolina Highway Patrol chasing an SUV weaving through traffic near Myrtle Beach with a driver who clearly did not want to stop. The suspect blasted through neighborhoods, drove into oncoming lanes, and ignored repeated commands from troopers trying to end the pursuit safely. >> 59 and 44 or 45. Come on. Back here. Got the passenger still. >> After finally surrendering, the driver admitted he fled because he did not have a valid license and thought he could escape before getting caught. Troopers later investigated possible alcohol impairment and charged him with multiple fleeing and traffic related offenses while the passenger repeatedly told officers she had begged him to stop during the chase. On May 9th, 2024, a woman visiting a Honda dealership in South Miami allegedly turned a simple test drive into a stolen car investigation within minutes. Once the salesperson stepped out of the Honda Civic, the woman reportedly sped away and refused to stop for police later that afternoon. >> I'm behind it. I'm behind it. 56 behind it. She's in the water. >> How many are in the water? >> Officers jumping in the water to save Logan, who appears to be in distress. Now, the pursuit started here at this South Miami Honda dealership on South Dixie Highway. Logan is alleged to have test drove a vehicle and as soon as the salesman exited the vehicle, she hit the gas during her not so smooth getaway, crashing into four other vehicles and destroying the Civic. Here you can see her topless as she was taken away in >> authorities identified the suspect as 27year-old Molina Logan who ended up in custody after crashing into multiple civilian vehicles and jumping into a nearby waterway to avoid arrest. Investigators said she later faced charges including grand theft auto battery on officers resisting arrest and fleeing police while one civilian driver was hospitalized following the crash. August 20th, 2022 saw Arkansas State Police chasing a Ford Mustang convertible through winding rural highways after the driver refused to stop. Troopers said the suspect's reckless driving kept escalating, creating dangerous conditions for anyone unlucky enough to share the road. Hey there. Do you know if Whale whale. Authorities took the suspect into custody shortly afterward. While investigators continued documenting damage from the pursuit and reviewing additional fleeing and reckless driving related charges. Tuesday, April 4th, 2023. Albuquerque officers spotted a woman inside a stolen vehicle connected to a long criminal history dating back nearly two decades. The situation escalated instantly when the driver allegedly swerved toward officers and slammed into multiple vehicles while trying to escape. DRIVER POLICE STOP. I was like, I don't think they need us anymore. >> It's good to see you back in action. >> It's not your fault, man. It really is not your fault. It's that girl involved. Police later identified the driver as Rahana Marquez, who was booked on charges including aggravated assault on a peace officer, aggravated fleeing, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Court records showed Marquez eventually accepted a plea agreement tied to assault and paraphernalia charges, while prosecutors pointed to roughly 30 prior arrests stretching back to 2004. January 12th, 2022 turned into a dangerous pursuit through Broward County after Florida officers tracked down a reportedly stolen truck weaving aggressively through traffic. The driver ignored repeated commands to stop, pushing the chase through crowded streets and busy commercial areas. Yeah. 94. 94 Everybody keep Hallelujah. Hallelujah. >> It's right now. You good? Yeah. You in your mouth? The pursuit eventually ended after officers boxed in the truck and arrested the suspect without a prolonged standoff. Investigators later reviewed evidence tied to the stolen vehicle case and reckless driving allegations, while aerial footage and radio traffic highlighted just how coordinated the operation became across multiple law enforcement units. On April 24th, 2026, an Arkansas state trooper clocked a Brown Chevy sedan, blasting through an active work zone near Tonattown at nearly twice the speed limit. Seconds later, the driver accelerated even harder instead of stopping, sending the pursuit past 140 mph. 764 Young Sam Adam, we're still going. 764 Young San Adam 412 westbound coming up to the trail speed 125. coming to Robinson. Troopers later identified the driver as Christa Bunch, who told officers she panicked because she was late for a personal matter when she saw the emergency lights behind her. After surviving a violent rollover crash that launched the car airborne, Bunch was treated at a hospital before being booked on charges including felony fleeing reckless driving unsafe lane usage and criminal mischief for the extensive highway damage. Once the sirens finally stopped, investigators still had plenty of questions left to answer behind the scenes. Be sure to check out the next video because the next pursuit is just as unpredictable from start to finish.
