Investigators confirmed the crash involved another vehicle and property damage adding weight to the charges tied to the stolen car and the reckless flight. On February 9th, 2024, a late afternoon patrol along Interstate 75 in Charlotte County turned tense when a motorcycle caught attention for a deliberately concealed license plate. That attempt to avoid identification quickly raised deeper concerns for troopers monitoring the roadway. fight. Come on. All units 1036 traffic slow 149. 133 mph. POWER. Get the up. He was formally charged with felony fleeing and eluding a marked law enforcement vehicle following the incident. February 20th, 2025 started quietly in Ch-Tech, Wisconsin with a pickup truck rolling through a stop sign without a license plate in sight. What followed was a brief encounter that raised immediate red flags for officers on scene. >> I'm trying to go home. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> All right. Court records reflected convictions tied to fleeing an officer impaired, driving, resisting law enforcement, and felony bail jumping. Tuesday, August 12th, 2025, brought renewed urgency to Jones County deputies searching for a woman with multiple active warrants. A routine attempt to take her into custody quickly unraveled once her identity was confirmed. 1080. So she just took off like BMW. Pit pit pit. All right. Heat. Heat. Heat. Pit pit. She's in a million. After her arrest, Demetri Bazzy faced new charges for fleeing reckless driving and obstruction in addition to four outstanding warrants already on the books. Authorities confirmed she was safely taken into custody following the incident. On April 20th, 2022, Santa Clarita residents watched law enforcement converge on a stolen SUV connected to a serious outofstate case. Inside the vehicle was an 18-year-old wanted for murder in Texas along with two minors. >> The back seat, these kids are struggling. And look at this. He's getting back in the vehicle. Another one back in the vehicle. And finally, CHP in the pursuit now. Right be is that CHP or sheriff's? Yeah, CHP right behind him here. We're going to forget about that one passenger, but we now know of the driver and at least one other passenger. These were young men that jumped out of that vehicle. And now the pursuit continues uh through the Santa Clarita Valley. Guys, this is very, very dangerous. >> Extremely dangerous. >> I am considered armed, all three of them. So that that's a very dangerous situation there. And just the way he's driving through this into oncoming lanes of traffic going the wrong way now. Jump that median. And he is continuing the wrong way on Valencia Boulevard approaching Railroad Avenue. >> Look at this. Continuing with LAP. Look at this. Oh my god. Oh my goodness. A near head-on collision. Very, very close. A very close call there. One of several that we've seen here. And it's just getting more and more aggressive by the second. At least he's going the right way now, but showing no signs of slowing down. >> Not at all. >> Eastbound Solidad. And now making a left turn into what appears to be an apartment complex or a condominium. A U-turn through the entrance there. Now going to Okay, he's going in circles. He's really toying with this officer here just doing a circle around this group of cars and he's into this apartment complex now, which I think leads him to a dead end. We'll widen just a second and see if that's the case. You can see LAPD with their airship overhead. California Highway Patrol on the ground down there now face to face with this uh CHP officer. He's going for a run. They're both jumping out. Driver and passenger jumping out of the vehicle running through this apartment complex. Unfortunately, only that one officer that we saw here. Not sure if they're familiar with this complex. If they live in this area, no idea. But in any event, they're running through here on private property waiting for more deputies to arrive on scene. I'm not sure that that one CHP cruiser is going to be able to catch up with them here, but they are continuing to race through these condos here in Santa Clarita. We'll see where this takes them. >> All right, sorry. Go ahead, Joanna. >> Uh, just Chris Christie. This is uh Jovana Lada and alongside Mark Brown. We're joining you now. And what a wild pursuit. These guys are driving or have been driving so dangerously and now we are looking at them running through this complex putting the people who live here likely uh in danger >> across street here. We're just off of Solad Canyon Road and again trying to get a trying to get an exact location. Thank you for that, Jay. Yeah, they're they're moving towards this pool area. It looks like a pretty big apartment complex. They're on the rear side of it now just looking for a spot to hide out. Unfortunately, I cannot tell you the name of this side street that they're coming up on. Actually looks like more of a bike path potentially behind the apartment. There's people there. Look at this. They're now approaching the pool with people in the pool, people enjoying their Wednesday afternoon. And these two are just running right along the pool deck looking for a hiding spot. We have to remind you, these two are believed to be armed as they run through here. are believed to be armed grand theft auto suspects that now pose and danger to this community. But apparently they see law enforcement within their line of sight here. There's the officers with their guns drawn, approaching the suspects. Thankfully appears they're finally giving up. >> One LAPD, one LA County Sheriff deputy both approaching these suspects with guns drawn. They immediately dropped to their to the to the ground. That's the good news. The people in the pool, there was a look looked like a little girl getting a swimming lesson out there. They've all cleared the pool. They're out. Everybody's out of harm's way. The little kid being hustled away, everybody leaving. >> Um so they are out of harm's way. No shots have been fired. Uh those suspects proned out. uh now following the orders of the two law enforcement officers from two >> how fast they were driving on those roads going against uh oncoming traffic uh jumping onto sidewalks uh zigzagging through cars and at very high speeds. I really believe something bad that this would end badly and thankfully um um these guys surrendered and no one was hurt >> and you saw earlier >> right about that and just to sorry >> go ahead Chris. >> Yeah. You know, I I was just going to clarify this is the Villa Metro apartment complex. They're right behind the main clubhouse. It's a huge apartment complex or housing complex uh here in Santa Clarita, right along Solidad Canyon, but it's called the Villa Metro is where this all ended up. >> By the conclusion of the investigation, all three suspects were in custody and officers confirmed the recovery of a firearm along the route. The case remained under active review as authorities worked across state lines to address the outstanding charges. March 31st, 2022 marked a devastating early morning along Interstate 75 near Bluffton, Ohio after officers identified a vehicle traveling at extreme speeds. What began as an effort to protect motorists quickly turned into a heartbreaking loss for the community. >> Okay. Up to 115 northbound. Northbound 115. We're in the middle lane. 227. 227. Middle lane. Take him out. Jason. You can continue north contact with my business northbound on primary 13 by the turn lane right Firm. Right firm. Approach the turn light. Right firm. Coming back over now. Left hand lane. Left hand lane. Left hand lane. Right here. Right in front of me. >> Take him out. road is still 230 back southbound. They just telling we are we going on 20 Are we on 20 57 chestnut? >> I'm running the view parallel on 83. Trigger 100 northbound in the southbound lane 57 north in Chestnut. >> 1721's out. 39 coming up behind you. Coming up behind you. Officer Dominic Francis, a 42-year-old veteran of the Bluffton Police Department, was struck while attempting to stop the fleeing suspects and later passed away. Three suspects were eventually captured and charged while the community mourned, a public servant remembered as an officer, coach, teacher, and father of two. On June 27th, 2024, just after sunrise, an Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper attempted a routine traffic stop on Interstate 75 in Allen County. The driver's refusal to comply pushed the situation beyond a simple speeding violation. >> We're down to 49 16 2.8. Okay. >> We're three with it. >> Off again. Northbound from the 1635 northbound left lane. Speed just dropped down to 90 foot. He's running east in the rest area. >> 31 31 31 >> involving 804. Do >> you need medical? Hold on by you. All right. >> Yeah, I'm all right. >> Okay. >> All right. >> Okay. The squad. >> The suspect identified as 22-year-old Jayvon L. Johnson of Detroit was arrested and jailed on a felony failure to comply charge with additional counts pending. A trooper and a semi-truck driver were treated for minor injuries as investigators continued reviewing the incident. October 4th, 2024 unfolded across Los Angeles freeways when authorities responded to a shoplifting report that escalated far beyond a retail parking lot. A bright yellow Mustang soon became the focus of intense attention during rush hour. >> Thankfully, the marine layer is uh is is holding. It's holding steady. So, if he continues southbound, and we're going to continue with them here, it looks like we've gotten clearance to creep up here on LAX. Uh looks like he's going to continue southbound down Airport Boulevard, and that'll eventually uh take him towards the airport. We'll have to make a decision either go left or right north of the airport. Yeah. Now, this is this is heart stopping here going through this uh parking lot here with units in tow here as he does a circle around the shopping plaza now coming back on Lennox Boulevard. To answer your question, that was a close call right there. Really close call. Inches away from colliding with that car. that motor unit again keeping up with him as he continues up North Hawthorne Boulevard. To answer your question really quick, I can tell you that we don't know whether he has randomly ended up in this neighborhood, but law enforcement does know. I understand that they do have an accurate plate and uh registration for this vehicle. They believe they know where this suspect resides. At least that's the information that they're operating with. So, they do have the luxury of knowing where the suspect lives. We will see uh how that affects their decision-making here. Look at him pulling in off a little bit and give him an opportunity to slow down. Now he's getting off the freeway here. Getting off of the 105 freeway. I'm sorry, 10 110 freeway, excuse me. Getting off the 110 freeway. Uh heavy traffic at this red light here. Look at that cruiser. Look at that cruiser keeping up with him. Going right through traffic, splitting lanes with him as he comes up on Roondo Beach Boulevard. going. He Yeah, he's right in Roondo Beach Boulevard and he might get right back on the freeway just using that exit ramp to get off. Looks like that left rear tire is having real trouble. So, at some point at some point, somebody either made contact with that tire. I certainly have not observed any spike strips. I didn't see any chance of that. So, at some point, he did collide with something that is now eating up that rubber. And now that left rear tire is on borrowed time. That may be the beginning of the end of this pursuit, guys. He is now southbound on the 110 freeway with a very unstable left rear wheel. I think the 90 91 transition here. That's right. Yeah, unfortunately he just took the westbound 91 freeway. I say that because that's where eventually as we continue west that marine layer is going to come into play once again here unfortunately. So uh this is this chase has had uh all the elements. Let's I mean Okay, so he's got right suspect out of the vehicle. Driver side door open. Driver side door open. Suspect out of the vehicle. We're going to come around this tree here. He is stepping away from the vehicle. Now coming around the back of the vehicle behind the Mustang CHP in position to take that suspect into custody. He will quickly be placed into handcuffs and it looks like they're rushing to some either rushing to clear the remainder of the vehicle unless somebody else went running. We're going to come around this tree here to see if we could see what's going on here. >> When the vehicle finally came to a stop, both the driver and a passenger were taken into custody without further incident. Investigators later confirmed the pursuit stemmed from an alleged shoplifting call that included damage to a patrol vehicle. On November 10th, 2024, a Jackson County deputy attempted a traffic stop on a Nissan Alima in Independence, Missouri. The encounter shifted rapidly once the driver refused to remain stopped. Heat. Heat. [ __ ] 74 1050. Hold the air. Trimming and harvesting. >> Driver of the vehicle. Step out of the vehicle with your hands up. Walk back to me. Hands up. Walk back to me. Walk back to me. Turn around. J's behind your back. Drop the cigarette. >> I'm trying to run you, sir. >> Yeah, you were. >> I promise I wasn't. Uh, my car was up. My dog hit the gear shift and I tried to get over and I slid. Right. Out of the vehicle for me, rear passenger. Open up the door. Okay. Stay there. Then step out of the vehicle. Passenger, step out of the vehicle. Keep the dog inside the car. >> Okay. His his door don't open. His door don't open. Okay, >> step out of the vehicle. >> Two more occupants. Come back to me. Come back to me. Come back to me. After the crash sequence concluded, three occupants were detained and authorities confirmed the victims in the other vehicle were uninvolved civilians. Deputies continued documenting the incident as part of an ongoing investigation tied to the pursuit and collision. November 25th, 2023 began as a routine speed enforcement detail on US19 in Levy County, Florida. GET OUT OF THE CAR. GET OUT OF THE CAR NOW. GET OUT OF THE CAR. Get out of the car.
