On September 11th, 2025, a late night traffic stop on Interstate 30 began with a Silver Ford Taurus moving well faster than posted limits. A routine request for paperwork quickly turned tense when the driver's behavior raised immediate red flags. It's better. 24. >> Hands. Show me youring hands. Get out on the ground. On the ground. >> LAY DOWN ON THE GROUND. >> On theinging ground. Don't move. Don't move. Medical crews were called after the arrest and Archie Flemens was later cleared before being booked into the Palaski County detention center. He faced charges including fleeing by vehicle fleeing on foot and resisting arrest. On October 3rd, 2020, Georgia State Trooper Zachary Walker was alerted to a Chevrolet Traverse fleeing from Jasper County, South Carolina into Georgia during the early morning hours. The vehicle was reported driving without headlights and had already nearly caused a collision before entering Georgia. Be southbound coming up to the He just turned his lights back off. We're passing 100 points right now. I'm going to set up the pit. I just bit him. Just bit him. Looks like he regained it though. He's uh slowly coming past me again. Be southbound again. Coming up to the 102. What's your speed? >> About 100 miles an hour. >> I just hit him again. He's into the guard. Really into the garden. >> Just pass 102. He's going to push bond on foot. [screaming] He just crossed >> crossed over. >> YOU BETTER GET ON THE GROUND. GET ON THE GROUND. >> GET ON THE GROUND. >> GET ON THE GROUND THEN. LAY ON THE GROUND. >> LAY ON THE GROUND. >> LAY ON THE GROUND. YES, SIR. >> LAY ON THE GROUND. >> Don't kill me, man. Please don't kill me. Please don't kill me, sir. >> Go ahead. I come. >> Come on. Come on, man. Please. >> Please don't kill me. >> Please don't kill me. >> I have nothing on your back. about the 103 and a half. I believe one got the driver 1095. >> Yes, sir. Please don't kill me. We got him. >> You got me. Y'all please don't kill me. After the pursuit ended, the driver was identified as Malik Macaulay and the passenger as Tamsha Brown, both of whom were transported to a hospital for medical clearance. Evidence connected to fraud was recovered from the vehicle and Macaulay was later issued citations related to the incident. Tuesday, January 21st, 2026, Fyet County deputies were alerted to a stolen SUV reported out of Nunan earlier that afternoon. A red vehicle matching the description soon passed deputies who attempted a traffic stop. today coming up the green. The train. Come on, I'll make this turn. left. >> 1850 radio roll over. Driver, hands up. Ginger cake land. >> Following the crash, the 17-year-old driver was found without major injuries and identified as a missing juvenile. He was held at the Fet County Jail and faced charges including reckless driving, speeding, and providing false information to an officer. On April 12th, 2023, California Highway Patrol attention was drawn to a driver accused of making an unsafe lane change in busy Los Angeles traffic. What started as a traffic concern quickly escalated as the driver refused to stop >> on the freeway passing Templant Highway and pretty much uh you know no man's land for the next several miles up until he gets to Gorman. Uh and then on the way up there from there from from there he basically will start getting closer to Bakersfield where there will be an additional CHP office ready to take over. Look at that. A hand out the window with his cell phone out the driver's side of the vehicle. Uh not clear what he's trying to convey there, but once again continuing for a bulk of this pursuit. Every time we get a close look at him, uh he's got that cell phone in his hand. He's basically been chas been uh continuing this chase with one hand on the steering wheel almost the entire time. Uh but again, uh at some point or just a moment ago, waving his hand at the driver's side window with that cell phone in the air. Those lead units still right behind him here. the five freeway about three or four lanes as he makes his way through Gorman here. More units up ahead of him. There's actually an unrelated unit, possible speed trap actually that just happens to be there. And look at that. There's the spike. There's the spike. And it looks like it was a miss. >> I caught it at the corner of the screen. A very rare, I would say unorthodox. Bruce could correct me. Uh but I think it's uh maybe once a year lately that we see a spike strip attempt on the freeway. You're 100 miles per hour uphill. He's going to run out of fuel much faster than you or I would if we were traveling up the uh up the five freeway. And so that's again only good news. Uh I I think you can only say this is the best case scenario that any of these uh officers could have hoped for and hopefully the resolution to this pursuit is just as optimal. Here comes another spike strip attempt. Maybe maybe does not look like does Yep. Spikes across. There's the spike. And he might have hit it. Might have hit it. They got to pull it back otherwise that patrol car Yep. Hey, he hit it. >> And it looks like it looks like he hit it at le I think the patrol did he I you'll have to replay that. >> I think the patrol car might have gone around it. But you can see now clearly that front right wheel heavily affected immediately going flat. Look at that. He's going to start. >> Didn't take long at all. Didn't take long at all. And now it looks like he's about to be running on empty at least on that front right and the right rear and the right rear. Both the right tires uh are now running low on air and they will be flat here in a second. We'll get around the driver's side if it's possible and we'll try and get a better picture of what's going on on that side of the vehicles per hour. Continue going uphill with at least four CHP units right behind him. In fact, he's made the decision for the first time in this pursuit to get off the freeway. He ran over something or maybe the tire came apart there, but you saw some debris flying off the vehicle and now he's getting off at Smoky Bear Road here on the five freeway. >> We have a a replay now of that spike strip. Oh, a big piece of tire just came. Look at that. The whole tread's coming off. >> It sure did. >> He's going to have the pit. There's the There's the pit. Spinning the vehicle out of control. Doing a full 180 underneath the freeway. And those CHP units have come out the other side. The vehicle has now come to a standstill on the underneath the freeway. Looks like those officers are getting ready for a confrontation here. He may have gone for a run. He may have gotten out of the vehicle. Foot pursuit. This is going to be a foot pursuit onto the freeway. He's climbing up the embankment. He's trying to get on the freeway, guys. Northbound side of the five freeway. Some trucks coming up there. And now he's in traffic. Northbound side of the five freeway. The foot chase is going to stop there because those officers will not chase him across the freeway over the divider. More oncoming traffic here. And this is so dangerous as he comes out the other side. They will be there to meet him on the other side. But they could look at that. The K9 unit starting to cross the freeway turning around there. They will get units on the other side of the freeway. underestimate the speed of these cars. But he's now in the middle. Maybe that's Oh, okay. See, he's doubling back >> over the divider again. Back on the northbound side. >> Oh, dear. Look at this. Trying to carjack a vehicle. Tell you trying to carjack other cars on the freeway. They're going to have to get more aggressive here if he continues this kind of uh behavior. But now he is trying to carjack these cars on the freeway. >> Oh my goodness. And they're at a standstill, which [music] is not helping matters. He's just looking for an unlocked door. He's looking for any unlocked door to try and get out of the situation, but they are going to close in on him here pretty soon. I can't imagine that they're that far back. I don't want to lose him here. We're going to stay pretty tight, but I'm trying to look to see uh where it looks like he's trying to go down the embankment off the freeway now. Going down below, and they should be be able to meet him. Uh he's going back where the vehicle is and there should be officers down there. I don't see them, but you would imagine that there are more officers underneath the freeway. And there's one of them. >> Okay, we got someone behind him and then someone down on [music] the ground, too. >> He might be hiding under the freeway, up the embankment. Um, you know, there's those nooks and crannies up there as opposed to running down on the street, but there is a unit moving pretty quickly. Oh, there he is. >> Oh, he's up in the air. Right, David? There were so many hiding spots under these overpasses to hide out. But it looks like he's come out the west side of the five freeway. He's now being confronted with a taser with his hands in the air. He's on his knees, not exactly complying. But here he goes now about to be proned out on the roadway down below underneath the five freeway. Still resisting. Still resisting. Four four officers on top of him. And it looks like he is going to be subdued here. The suspect was taken into custody after attempting to escape on foot and was later arrested in Gorman. We're down to 80. >> Down at 80. 182. >> Run. Run. We got brake lights. We're slowing down. COPY. [screaming] >> Out subject in the media. >> Get over there. Get over there. Subject in the media. The vehicle fled across several freeways before crashing into another car in Sand Damus. >> Any of these intersections. With that said, you can see that one black and white behind him. That is a California Highway Patrol unit through a green light here, weaving through the traffic, making the turn there. Uh, again, driving very erratically and very dangerously as he tries to flee the California Highway Patrol. Right through a red light there and continuing at uh still extreme speed, especially as he goes through these red lights. There goes another one. And now we have that night sun showing. Oh, there it is. That's the crash. There he is jumping out of the vehicle. One, two, and possibly a third suspect jumping out of the vehicle. An innocent vehicle going through the intersection, taking it on the on the driver's side of the vehicle. We'll come back there in a minute to try and see if anybody was injured in the meantime. That's the driver you see running through this parking lot at East San Gabri. That's going to be uh Arrow Highway. Right off of Arrow Highway is where we are. Let's come around here. Looks like he's in front of a Ross shopping center. Another suspect from that vehicle running behind the alley into the rear of the shopping center. California Highway Patrol making their way into the area here as well as well as other law enforcement. This suspect running out of steam here. There's another suspect on the uh north side of the building continuing to walk casually behind the shopping center. Another suspect in front of the shopping center. Can we go ahead and see if maybe they've got him? Did they get him or did he go inside? He may have gone inside one of these stores here. Law enforcement descending on the scene. Possibly that suspect. Okay, he's on the ground. On the ground in front of the Ross Shopping Center. That's the driver, I believe, that's now face down on the pavement there. That is a second suspect that you saw a moment ago on the backside, the rear of the shopping center. He has not been taken into custody yet. Surely they are directing law enforcement behind the mall here. But you can see he's continuing to walk behind the Ross as the driver of that crash, the vi the driver of that pursuit vehicle I should say, is now being taken into custody. Uh this is where that suspect was last seen. Again, four suspects being taken into custody. A fifth managing to get away temporarily. We'll see if he pops back up. But again, the driver taken in. Three others in the back seat also being taken in under arrest now as this wild pursuit comes to an end. I think that's him. That is the That's the fifth suspect there. That's the fifth suspect. So, a total of five suspects now in police custody here in Isusa down for the intersection through the red light and then hitting the front of that actually the passenger side of that vehicle and then coming face to face with another vehicle there. So, it was a a a wild crash. It could have been a whole lot worse. I got to tell you, another split second and uh that passenger would have taken it uh squarely. >> Five suspects were taken into custody within minutes of the crash while three occupants of the struck vehicle, including a child, were evaluated by paramedics and did not appear to have serious injuries. The incident remained under investigation in connection with the initial shooting report. What you just saw closes one chapter, but it sets up what comes next in a way most people miss.
