You are detained for what? >> For an investigation. Go sit down. >> What type of investigation? >> Let go of Let go of me. >> Seriously, let go of me. >> Sit down. >> Seriously, if you don't sit down, I'll put you in cuffs. >> Seriously, let go of me. >> Turn around. It's going to be wonderful. I'm scared if I can use the restroom. Sir, will you walk me? >> You're under arrest. >> That's definitely not happening. >> So she doesn't try to slip on. >> Now you're going to jail for freaking battery on here. THAT WAY [screaming] >> STOP. What the? >> You're hurting my knee so bad. >> Stop kicking and stop squirming. >> I just want to use the restroom. >> 755 dispatch. We >> stop kicking the restroom. >> You will when you get to go to jail. >> Sure. Please stop. Please get your hands off my ass. PLEASE GET YOUR HANDS OFF of my ass. Please. [screaming] >> After detaining her, she's escorted to the squad car. >> Make sure you grab her by underneath her by her shoulders and everything. >> You're not biting. >> You're not trying to bite him. >> No, you're under arrest. >> For what? >> Like >> for what? I go underneath her. >> What am I arrested for? Is what I'm asking? >> On this side. >> From where? >> Like this. >> What am I trespassing? >> Underneath here. He's going to get in the light. >> So gross. >> Yeah, that side. >> Yeah. >> Why are you doing this? >> Cuz you can't behave right. >> Oh, I was supposed to go to the restroom. You guys >> Yeah. This girl, after stepping out of a bush like an animal in hiding, would immediately deny every accusation the cop made about her. And as she's being detained, she tried to walk away, which kind of prompted the officer to put her under arrest. >> Hey, where's he at? We're going to put a dog on the ground and bite him. So, where's he at? >> You're not putting a You can >> You can't tell us what to do. >> Okay, I'm not telling you what to do. So, we shot the second one at the same time and then dropped. >> But her I dropped on her cuz she wouldn't put her hand on her back and we still don't know her name. We're going to have to identify her. >> Can you get >> You got your pad. >> I try. He doesn't know her last name. >> He does. He just know how to spell it. >> She's adopted, so she don't know her actual birthday. I don't know her birthday. >> Hey, you're lucky I didn't tase you in the face though, bro. For >> sure. >> Cuz it almost it missed you. One of them right there. It is. >> I respect you though, bro. >> You hurt my girl. Did you hurt my girl? >> Yeah, >> you did. I dust you. >> You a little quick. You ain't fast. >> I quick. You ain't fast. He ain't fast. He quick. >> Hey, if I meet him in a race, >> hey, I got 100 lb over you, man. I'm 260 lb. Are you letting me catch up? >> I'm 130. Both these people are charged with resisting arrest and theft. Moving on to the next case now where this woman turns a minor accident into her own arrest. >> What have I been asking? >> Shut the up. Like stop. >> Give me your driver's license and your insurance card. >> Man, what a what's up? >> You want to take me to jail? >> No, I don't want to. Rock. >> On January 10th, 2022, police conducted this traffic stop on a vehicle for leaving the scene of an accident in Joliet, Illinois. What is happening here? >> Hello. Uh, were you just in an accident back there? You sure? >> Yeah. over there on uh South H Street. >> Okay. Do you have your driver's license and insurance card on me? >> I just need to see your driver's license, your insurance card, man. >> Yes. So, you were involved in an accident just back there. We have your drive. We have your your um license plate, your vehicle description, you're on camera, and you have damage on your vehicle, and then you just left the area. So, we're just trying to get your information for the accident, and then we'll send you on your way. Okay? So, I just need to see your driver's license and your insurance card. Don't. Girl, why is he trying to open my door? >> Ma'am, you need to give us your driver's license and your insurance card. You >> have absolutely no right. You would have no right to be my father. She trying to >> Ma'am. >> It's just an accident. Don't turn this into something else. accident. >> You were involved in an accident. You You got to come off of that. >> Involved in the accident. >> You got to come off of that. Okay. You were involved in the accident. >> We have to take your information. >> Open your window for us. >> Open your window. >> What's your first name? >> Don't turn this into something that you don't need it to be. Okay. All we need, let me tell you something. >> You're turning into something, >> ma'am. >> We need to take I already explained it to you. We need your driver's license and your insurance card or what's going to happen is you're going to end up going to jail. >> Pull me over. >> I already explained. Do you want me to explain to you for the third time? Okay. You're involved in an accident on South H Street. You left the scene of that accident. We have your license plate. You have damage to your vehicle. We need your driver's license and your insurance card for the accident report and then we can send you on your way. If you refuse that, you can go to jail. So, it's your choice. >> Do what you got to do. I'm just asking for your driver's license and and your insurance card. That's all you got to do. >> Do you have that on you? >> What accident are you talking about? >> The one that you were just involved in. Now, you don't have to keep doing this. >> Okay, we can. We're going to continue talking about. >> Okay. How about this? >> I wasn't in no accident. >> I need your driver's license, your insurance card, or you're going to go to jail. >> You pulled me over for no reason. >> I already explained to you the reason. So, I need your driver's license and your insurance card or you can go to jail for obstructing the police. >> It's your call. Are you refusing to open the window? Cuz I think you know what's going to happen if you do that. >> Why'd she keep denying it when the police already have clear evidence tying her to this accident? I mean, all she had to do was give the officer some info and be on her way. Instead, she wants to run her mouth in denial, dragging things out and making the situation far worse for herself. >> You pulled me over for what? >> You want me to explain it to you for the fifth time? >> Yep. That's why you ain't get get on me back in >> for the fifth time. >> So, wait. >> You were involved in an accident. You fled the scene. >> And now you're refusing to give me your driver's license and your insurance card. >> So, I need to see your driver's license and your insurance card or you'll go to jail for obstructing the police. I'll tow your car and impound it. Well, you're gonna unlock it for me or I'm gonna break the window. >> You're gonna break the window? >> Yeah. >> For what? >> Because you're refusing to give me your driver's license and your insurance card. >> That you can't. >> I Well, I know I can't. >> You know, >> so are you refusing to open your window? >> Refusing. >> Okay. So, at this point, you're under arrest. I need you to get out of the car or I'm going to break the window and take you out. >> Why are you pulling me over? >> I already explained it to you. We're past that. >> All right. If you don't get out of the car, I'm going to break the window. >> Hey, ma'am. Will you do it here on the scene? Otherwise, you're you're going to have we're going to be down at the station. It's up to you. >> This [ __ ] is dumb as [ __ ] >> Okay. All right. >> What did I do? >> It's going to come. I've been here for 10 minutes trying to get it through. >> Can you shut the car off at least so we don't turn this into something that it doesn't have to be? >> I just don't want just 10 zero would just stand around the car. Okay. >> Thank you. >> Can you turn the car off? Thank you. >> Can you give me your driver's license and your insurance card? >> What you think in front of you? >> I'm just asking for your driver's license and then your insurance card. >> Are you dead ass serious? You going to act like that's what you've been asking me for this whole time? >> What have I been asking? >> Shut the up. Like, stop. >> Okay. I need your driver's license and your insurance card. It's just an accident. Don't turn. >> So he should tell you then that you should give me your driver's license. >> Why the entire [ __ ] >> And what do you say right now? If you're acting like this. >> Why are y'all Why do I Why am I pulled over right now? >> For the accident. >> Six time. You want to go six? You were involved in an accident. You left the scene. I found your car. You have damage to the front of your car. All this is is an accident report, ma'am. Don't turn this into anything else. >> Leave it that. Don't turn it into something else. >> It's an accident report. We need your stuff for the report and then you're on your way. >> It's your word against the other driver's word. That's all we're looking at, man. >> Judging by how deep she is in denial, it's pretty clear that she doesn't actually have any kind of information the officer is asking for. And with that attitude, man, she's practically guaranteeing herself a one-way ticket to jail. >> You're making this far too difficult on yourself. >> I understand. >> On yourself. >> I understand. >> Okay. You just give them your license, your insurance. They can relate that over the other. >> Can y'all go to them? >> We already have enough of them. >> Yeah. >> Oh, okay. >> That's why we're here. >> I have nothing else to talk about. >> I'm good. >> I need your driver's license and your insurance card. >> I don't have none of that. >> You don't have your license. I don't know your insurance. >> I don't have it. >> Okay. I need you to step out of the car. >> Why? >> Because I need you to step out of the car because now you're under arrest for obstructing the police. Okay. >> You want to turn that into that? We can turn it into that. Just get your license, get the insurance, get get an ID, whatever you got. Just provide it. It's Monday. We're not trying to make you any more difficult than I am. >> I didn't do anything. >> Okay, now you're doing something. Give us your license and your insurance card so we can get this on the report and get you the hell out of here. Now denial will shift to the next stage, looking for something that doesn't exist and trying to stall for as much time as possible. But guess what, lady? You shot yourself in the leg when you stepped into the officer's face and asked to be arrested. Why are you opening my door? Don't touch. >> I'm not going to touch. >> But I need you to give your driver's license and your insurance. >> I am, but don't touch my door. Why are you doing that? >> I've explained it to you already. >> It don't matter. >> Then act like it. >> So, you need to act like it. Don't touch. >> Give me your driver's license and your insurance card. >> Man, what? What's up? >> You want to take me to jail? No, I don't want to jail. Don't touch me. Don't Don't step in my face >> at this point. Just listening to >> Don't grab my >> Got a wrist. You got a wrist. No. You got it, Bobby. I'm not letting this happen. >> Stop resisting. >> You a dumb [ __ ] >> Stop resisting. >> Ain't nobody resisting. >> Stop resisting. >> You just You must be a You must be a rookie. >> You must be a rookie. >> You must be a rookie. [ __ ] OUT OF MY FACE. You feel good? You feel good? You still got a fight for it. >> I got I got I got >> No, it's the other one. I got to I got >> duh. >> Come on. Let's go. >> Got to stand up. OKAY. STAND UP. >> STAND UP. >> OKAY. Roll it to your knees and then come on up on your feet. Yep. Come on. Flip your shoes on your feet. You want your phone? >> Is this your phone? >> Yeah. >> All right. Step up. If you want your phone, step on your shoes. [ __ ] you up. >> That's fine. >> I ain't doing nothing to y'all. >> That's fine. >> That's fine. Put your shoes on. You want them or no? >> Stop. >> Don't you ain't jail. ambulance in route. >> All right, go ahead and get in. Come on. >> Have a seat. Stinks. >> Leave me alone. Y'all have no right to arrest me. >> Ma'am, you got to get in the car. >> Ouch. >> Hop in. Let's go, >> man. Get me the out of here. Y'ALL HAVE NO RIGHT to arrest me. >> You got to get in the car. I'm going to go around the other side. >> No, you don't. Come on. Come on. You have to GET IN THE CAR. >> Let's go. Come on. >> After struggling for a bit, they finally put her in the car and proceeded to transport her to the station. >> All right. We all right? >> Yeah. Yeah, we're good. This all be part of a defensive u just a takeown. >> Yeah. >> Investigating a hit and run. >> Okay. >> Just having a bad Monday. comprehend. >> I don't know. She was going in the glove box for that, but total comprehend wrong. >> You got I think it fell off at some point. >> I was I just thought I didn't know you had one, so I was just sitting here like >> here. I have a wrist. >> I had a trying to transfer the wrist over to Bob. >> I knew it was going to come to that. I could just tell right away. No, I'm glad I showed up over >> did a good job. >> Was 2420 or no? >> You gave her so many commands. I mean, there's >> 24 >> having a bad day. >> Yeah. >> All right, we'll get her down there. >> 24 arrested. What am I getting arrested for? Well, you see what you did back there is like all sorts of not good. Okay. And I think you know that. So, just listen. >> No. What am I? >> It's called obstructing the police. I mean, we can go the whole different route if you want with resisting. You kick the sergeant. We could do that, but we're not we're not going to do all that unless you act to fool down in the jail. Okay? So, what we're going to do, just listen to me. We're going to go to the Juliet Police Department. We have to take your fingerprints and your picture and then we're going to release you. Listen to me. Just listen to me, Britney. And then we'll get you out of here on an eyebound. We'll take you back to >> Or you can go sit at the Will County Jail with no bond. There's your options. Okay. This started from a simple traffic stop and and you could have just went with the program. >> Yeah. Right. >> But you didn't. >> Okay. That's why. So, [snorts] I I'm just explaining to you why you got arrested. >> Bullshitting because you can you can still be cool, but you decide not to. >> I I don't know if that's true. >> No. >> Oh, well, she's probably intoxicated. She was rrestling with us a little bit. She was in an accident hit and run, refusing to get out of the car. So, All right, Britney. So, we're going to take inside fingerprints, pictures, and if you're cool with that, I'll take you to take me home. >> I promise you I will. But you got to promise me that you'll be cool with us. We just got to take your picture and fingerprints. If you're cool, you're going to get reconed if you're down an hour >> cuz I did I do anything? I don't want to go to jail. I >> No, we don't want you to take you to jail. This is just a misdemeanor ass. >> Okay. In an hour. >> I'm not going to jail. >> No, this is the police station. I promise y'all not going to put me in. >> Look, you're you're on camera. You're on camera. Okay. I can't lie to you on camera. >> Yeah, I'm dead ass here. I >> got to get some picture. >> Fingerprints and picture and then we're got to do >> No, you're not going to take no I didn't do anything. You're under arrest. It's part of the booking procedure. Listen. Listen to me, girlfriend. Listen to me. >> Y'all not y'all going to put me under. >> Do not walk your way into a felony. Okay. Don't >> What? >> Refusing this is a felony. We're trying to get you out of here. She's charged with aggravated battery, obstructing justice, leaving the scene of an accident, driving on a suspended license, and resisting arrest.
