On December 22nd, officers with the Aztec Police Department responded to an apartment complex after a neighbor reported that loud banging and screaming from another unit had awakened her child. >> Don't somewhere. I'm headed somewhere. >> Okay. So, what's going on? >> Headed somewhere. Who called? Is it for me or is who is it for? >> It is for you. >> Is it for me? >> Yes. They said one. >> Yes. >> Of course. Of course. I'm going walking. That's all I'm doing. Yep. Well, I know we were here earlier and you were having some issues and stuff, those problems or >> No, I'm pretty jedy. I'm pretty all right. I'm pretty okay. >> Okay. All right. >> Because you're disturbing the peace with the other with your other neighbors and stuff. >> That's what the report is. >> Really? I'm disturbing the peace. That ising interesting cuz I don't really remember being very loud. But that is interesting. That is something I will remember to recall. >> Okay. No, hold on. So, are you still having the issues with the that you're having? >> Yes. With >> Yes, of course. Always. When does that ever end? I'd like to know. You tell me. I don't know. It doesn't end. >> Okay. Do we need to take you into the hospital so that you can >> get your back on the medication? >> I don't need to go to theing hospital. Well, the problem is you've you told me earlier you weren't taking your medicine, right? >> I'm not taking my medicine. I'm not taking my medicine. No, I am not. >> Okay. >> Does that usually help you in this type of situation? >> No. I don't know who called or what called for what for what and what not. But I'm walking and I'm going. Okay. >> Not right now. >> That seems reasonable to me. All right. So, what is the issue here? Am I not stable enough to go for a walk? What is the issue? >> Well, the issue is that you're banging around causing noise in your apartment. That's enough to wake up the neighbor. >> Goodbye and good riddance, I suppose. Right. Cuz Iing make no noise in my apartment, right? Whatever. I'm drunk. Yes, I am drunk. I am drunk and I am bipolar and I am an addict and this and that and whatnot. And what will you have? you. >> I don't care. >> So, >> so hold up. So, we want to work with you and be here and support you, but you have to consider your neighbors and stuff. So, we don't want to come back out here. We don't want to charge you with anything, but we got to have a happy medium of the noise level. I understand pretty loud themselves. They are pretty loud themselves. It is. And I do keep my my volume to a minimum. I do try to keep it to the point. But if they want to be loud as they are. >> Okay. It's almost midnight. >> All right. So, people are trying to sleep. Tomorrow is Monday. It's a work day. Okay. >> So, that's all we're here for. We're just asking We're just asking you to keep it down. Doesn't >> matter, officer. I don't think it >> We do come back here due to your drunkenness. You >> drunkenness. You can take me in if you'd like. Honestly, if you feel very uncomfortable, you can take me in if you'd like. >> If we continue to come back out here, you could be charged with this orderly house. conduct, whatever you'd like to call it. You know what? I'm a very safe person. I keep to myself. I do not say anything. >> I don't say a thing. Them [ __ ] are very loud. I don't say aing word. But they want to call the cops on me cuz I'm being whatever they want to call it. All right. By any means, merry Christmas. But I'll call the cops on you when you're loud. >> All right. >> I'll say that much. That much >> whatever. So, do you understand the options that we've kind of laid out? >> It really doesn't matter to me to be honest with you. >> Okay. >> If you want to arrest me, go ahead. >> We're not arresting you right now. Okay. >> We're just trying to work with you and keep the peace. Okay. >> By any means. >> Do you feel that you need to go to the hospital? >> What peace is there to keep? Really? I mean, how many times have I been needing to go to the hospital? I don't tell you. One, two, three times. >> Well, we can take you to the hospital. >> I can tell you three too many times. And you know what? Iing handle it like chap and I try to and I have to because I have no choice to and you know what I get the [ __ ] end of the stick and it's all good cuz you're bipolar and nobody wants to deal with you. Yep. Everybody [ __ ] hates you. Yep. >> What about the sobering center? >> Sobering center. Nope. Sober enough. I'll say that that much right right now. I almost had two years of spriing meth and alcohol. And you know what? Iing almost could have it again if I were strong willed enough or whatnot or whatever you have it. >> Do you want to go to the hospital so that >> go to the hospital so they could do what? >> So they could take me to the hospital to take me to the psych ward whatever the >> No, just someone to talk to >> someone to talk to me stabilized this and that. All right. Okay. Go ahead. Keep me stabilized. Have you eaten anything today? >> Nope. I haven't eaten anything today. I've had coffee. I've had nicotine. And I've had alcohol. >> Do you want something to eat? Do you want me to go get you something to eat? >> I want peace. That's what I want. I don't want anything, but I want peace. >> Is a walk going to help you? >> No. >> You know what? And I have goals and I have aspirations and whatnot. >> Goals are good to have. >> I want to be a firefighter. I don't want toinging be here. I don't want to be the person that I am. I don't want to deal with the things that I've been dealing with. But here I am and it's fine. Merrying Christmas. >> It doesn't matter to me. >> It doesn't matter to me. >> Don't matter to me. Don't matter to me. Nothing. >> Something's not working. Goding prick takes everything from you, prunes you and whatnot. And then you're going TO HAVE TO DEAL [screaming] WITH THE CONSEQUENCES. NOTHING. I have nothing. Absolutely nothing. I've got a three-year-old daughter who calls me Desiree. Yep. She calls me Desiree. You know what? I've got nothing. That apartment. I've got nothing. Nothing. I don't understand why people want to mess with me. Why people want to me? I have nothing. Not a godamning thing. No, not me. Nope. You got your episodes. You got this. You got that, but you ain't got a thing. >> And I can understand you being frustrated. >> It sounds like you need some help. >> Sounds like I need God. And it sounds like he ain't around. It sounds like he has his own concept of whatever the he thinks normalized. >> Nothing. Nope. Nothing. So, you might as well take me in jail or take me somewhere because I have nothing. No, I can take you to the hospital and see if they can get you some resources. >> Medicated, I'm sure. Okay, we're going to get medicated and then we're going to solve the problem and then we're going to pretend like everything's okay and we're going to pretend like you're not up and like you don't have a mental illness like I'm not I'm not familiar with your what's your first name? >> Desire. >> Okay. So, Desiree, um we can't allow you to continue to scream out here. Okay. Like this other officer is >> appropriate. So, please, if you could just keep it down where we're talking to you, but what we're trying to do is we're trying to figure out what's the best way we can help you tonight. >> I mean, really nothing. >> You said you >> there's really nothing you can do to help me. >> Okay. Well, and >> I mean, in full honesty, nothing. >> Okay. So, I get that and I get that you've been through a lot and stuff. With that being said, though, I mean, like we said, we can't continue to have you screaming and stuff out here. Okay. So, if we leave, are we going to get any more calls on >> No, no, no. You might get a call. You might not get a call. You want to take me in? Go ahead. That's your choice. I don't really know what to tell you, officer. But you know what? I'm not okay. I'm not all right. And I'm sick and tired of pretending like I'm okay and I'm all right. >> Sounds sucks. God sucks. And everything sucks. I don't understand anything. None of it makes sense. And you know what? I'm suffering. I am suffering inevitably because >> Okay, Desire decision. >> Desire. Hey, let's go ahead and place your hands behind your back. Okay. >> No. No. No. No. No. No. Hands behind your back. Hands behind your back. Stop. >> Stop resisting. Desire. >> No. Desiree. Stop. Desiree.
