I mean, think about that. Look how inherently dangerous that is. Who's creating the peril? The suspect is, man. He's just taken off with no due regards of the safety of the road or anyone on the road or any bystanders. Can you imagine? Starting to smoke. One male black driver, dark tinted windows, wanted for 961 and RES stopped deputies. If he foot fails, don't run. We're sending the dog. All units, be advised. Nobody's reaching for the gun, dude. I swear to God I saw you reaching for the gun. I thought you was going to kill me. 507, is there another unit that can go? I dropped his ID on the freeway when he hit me. I swear to God. Hey, I got scared for my life. I'm scared. Please help. Stop. Hey, stop for a second. I thought Okay, look, Jerry. I know you got kids, man, but you are putting everybody in danger, man. You're scared for your life and you decided to go over 110 miles an hour. I mean, come on. Whose fault is that more than anything? You decided to create that peril for you to just take off and put everybody's life in danger. I mean, that's pretty reckless on your part. >> I thought I had a nightmare about this I was going to drive. They was going to kill me. Stop for a second. Oh, [ __ ] Please don't kill me, please. Jerry, I got kids, man. Don't kill, please. I got kids. Jerry, stop for a second. I got kids. I know you do, man. You just told me. I got kids. I saw you reach for the gun. Nobody reached >> You don't know what happened to me. I almost died like like 2 years ago because for nothing. Jerry, can you stand up? George, get a fire extinguisher in case this goes up. All right, nobody's going to kill you. Oh. Okay. Let's stand you up. Oh God, no. Jerry, look. No one's trying to kill you, man. About the only person who's trying to kill you is yourself by taking off from the cops, man. That's a big no-no. Again, it's probably because you got something going on maybe in the car. Who knows? But no one just takes off because you got dark tinted windows >> [music] >> and you didn't give them your insurance card because you were calling your wife. Next you know, boom, you put it on D and you take off. Come on now. Don't move your car. Let's start with the armrest that are even behind your car. Thank you. 10-4. Let's stand you up. I'm scared of the dog. All right. What's your name again, Jeremy? Jerry. Jerry? I gave you my ID. I just thought you was reaching for the gun. Nobody reached for a gun, dude. Rope on your feet. Break your knees and swing your legs around. Ready? One, two, three. Hey, look at me. Look at me for a second. Jerry, Bro, please don't kill me, bro. I'm sorry, bro. Hey, look at me for a second. I just didn't want to die, bro. I got kids, bro. >> Look at me. Have a seat. Here, grab a seat. Jerry, you're not going to die. Have a seat. I don't want to die, bro. Have a seat. Right here. There you go. Just lean forward. This is too tight. Let's take I'm sorry for running past you. I thought you was reaching for the gun. It did like 3 years ago. No, it wasn't 3 years ago. I got slammed on my neck, bro. You what? I swear to God I got slammed on my neck, bro. I just seen you reach for the gun. Jerry, Driver just called out that they're going to get the ID. If you want to call my work phone, I'll tell you where it's at. Like, I had got slammed on my neck. Oh, on your neck. Okay. I need you to take some big deep breaths, okay? I just seen my life flash before my eyes, bro. I know you just went for a hell of a ride. >> Bro, I just seen my life No, we I seen you grab your gun, bro. Reach for your gun, bro. I swear to God I got slammed on my neck for nothing, bro. >> take a Take a breath. Take a breath. Take a Take a breath. Big deep breaths, okay? I thought you was going to shoot me, bro. For no reason, bro. Nobody's shooting you. Nobody's Okay, so this is one of those parts that we miss the most about cops. You know what? So empathetic, so supportive and you know, kind of ensuring him, "Hey, it's going to be okay. Take a deep breath." And oftentimes we don't get to see that side of police work. And you know what? That's pretty important considering what just happened where Jerry, again, >> [music] >> uh put everybody's life in danger. You know, it's accountability on your part, Jerry. So, we tried stopping it. Yep. He stopped, opens the door. Hey, my windows don't work. I'm like, "Okay." So, I'm standing between the door and I'm like, "Hey, step on out of the car for me. It smells like marijuana in the car." It don't smell like marijuana. I said, "Yes, it does. Step on out of the car." Mhm. He grabs the door, tries closing it. We kind of wrestle over the door. At the speedy hit that, we'll get him at least signed off. >> to get him in the car right away then? I don't know what to do. We can. Vince was in the passenger side and he takes off, drags Vince 5 ft. Vince gets out, you know, like disengages. And then He did fine driving, honestly, all the way up until he saw a state here. Yeah. Every time he saw a squad in a turnaround, Yeah. he knew it was coming. Yeah. So, he would take the media or the shoulder of either side. >> Yeah. And when he came the shoulder on the number two lane, he shot back across and just lost it. Okay. Um took the median, never rolled. Can you stand up there? Hey, we got him up earlier and So, he's he's shaking. You want him back in there? Yeah, catching up. I'm like starting to see their lights and my car are just like, nah, I'm done. I couldn't go above 80. He's got >> what you took, you got weed, right? A lot. He's got weed and stuff in his pockets. I'll measure it later. Uh our deputies don't want to die either. So, when you try to run them over, this is kind of what we have to do. I didn't run no deputy over. I swear to God I didn't. I swear to God I was out the way. I ain't know where you was Hey. Please, bro. Please. I swear to God I'm not Jeez. Please, bro. Jeez. Nobody's going to kill you, man. Are you like straining against those handcuffs? Is that why you're like groaning like that? We need to get a good search out of him. He has 961 on him. Okay. What was that? Hm? What was that? Drugs. I don't know drugs on me, man. I don't I probably got a couple of blunts of weed, bro. Okay. Those are drugs, though. My weed is not nothing. I wasn't smoking or nothing in the car, though. We understand, but it's it's still legal. So, we still got to do our jobs and you can't bring it into the jail or anywhere. >> Or the state of Wisconsin. Yeah. But you're going to be all right. We got to Are you on anything other than weed? Cuz you seem a little agitated. I had nightmares, bro. I got slammed on my neck by some cops for nothing, bro. Not too long ago. Okay. But are you are you on any other drugs besides marijuana? No, I just smoke marijuana and eat, bro. Good? Good. Yeah. Yeah, I saw him reach for that, so I went to grab his arm and the like B pillar just hit my arm. You drove onto the grass, lost control, and then you Y'all kept throwing stuff at me. I ain't know what it was. I didn't want to go up to the car. I just wanted to get over it. Just in case cuz I'm like at this point >> Just instinctively like Right. trying to slow it down, you know. No, for sure. I just didn't want to cuz I'm like here, I'm not going to send my dog cuz I don't want him getting hit by another thing. Yeah. >> But if he does boogie, I wanted to be over the fence in case he did. I just didn't want him to turn and Right. I know it was a bomb. I didn't know what the I never been in no police chase in my life, bro. Then why'd you run? Cuz I seen him reach for his gun, bro. I got scared, bro. I got scared, bro. I seen him reach for his gun, bro. Ain't nobody going to shoot you unless you do something stupid. >> Bro, I didn't do nothing stupid, sir. Bro, it don't take for you to do nothing stupid, bro, to get shot, bro. It don't. He hit me and knocked the ID off me. I had just clipped it into my vest. You good? Yeah. Okay, now Jerry says that the cop was reaching for his gun. You know, well, nothing in the video really depicts the fact that he was actually reaching for his gun. As you can see, I want to say the minute that Jerry saw the passenger officer and you can see from that angle it depicts that he just put it on drive and took off. So, I don't know, man. I'm going to call BS on that because it seems to me that he just wanted to take off because again, he's probably hiding something that's in the car. I was on my arm, but Okay. my feet are Didn't ruin your boots dragging you? Yeah, I was out to You all I was scared, bro. You want to I swear to God I've been traumatized a lot, bro. All I know is between those two deputies, Oh. they're as calm as cucumbers. So, nobody's going to get Bro, I swear No, there's there's more going on here, man. You don't just run from the cops. No, bro. I seen him reach for his gun, bro. Yeah, he reached for his gun, man, cuz you sped away. I didn't I didn't You Let me explain to you what happened. He was at your window conducting a traffic stop, conducting an investigation. You sped away. >> No, I sped away cuz I seen him reach for his gun. That's why Stop talking if you want to argue about it. Bro, I don't want to talk to you. >> Okay. Well, when this goes when this goes to court and they watch our body cams, then we'll have the full story. We all do our reports. I was scared for my life. I never ran from the cops. Hey, buddy. I was just scared really scared for my life, bro. So, Can you grab my phone, sir? That's not my job. Huh? I'm one of the police. That ain't my job. Yeah, we're going to look We'll look for your phone. We'll look for it, but you When you hit something at over 100 mph, things kind of go flying. So, we'll look for it, but it might not be able to find it. Literally, bro, I was really just really scared, bro. Well, there's a first time for everything. Right where the squad is with no headlights, just the flashers, is pretty much where he lost it, flipped. You can kind of see Well, how we got You're going to the ambulance. We're going to check you out. I got ants all on me and stuff. Well, that's the worst or least of your worries right now. All right, walk to the same once you're No, you're all right. They don't eat much. Let's go, buddy. >> to go in the ambulance. You're going to be okay. They're here to help you. Okay, so as you may know, medical treatment and medical clearance is always number one, regardless of the circumstances, right? Because you know that at some point there is going to be some injuries in every arrest. Not all of them, but just know that cops are always looking out for you got to get some medical treatment [music] and get cleared to make sure to make sure we're go ahead and process the booking procedures. That's weird. That's more than a couple blunts, bud. I did I did not smoke it. I did not I did not smoke it in the car. I'm taking your socks off here. Well, you smoked at some point, dude, cuz you reek. Your eyes are bloodshot as hell. Bro, you ever fear for your life, bro? You ever had somebody reach for a gun and you fear for your life? Hey, how are you doing? >> Good. I'm fine. How are you? Oh, not bad. It's amazing how you can actually see the fuel gauge going down as they're driving 120 mph. >> Oh, I bet. So, we got PWID coke, PWID weed. Yep. Here. Nice. That's why you ran from the cops. Yep. Sounds like PWID weed and coke so far. Oh, yeah. Oh, I can see why you ran. One of the big bags exploded in the car, so there's just weed everywhere. I Like I'm just coughing just walking past the car from this. Life. I can get these. I did not have his Here. 10-10. I can get these. Backpack? Is that where you found stuff? Where is the box of stuff in there? Good boy. Here. Good boys. That a boy. Under 10-10. Lay down. Huh? I like his dad down on three hot bowls of weed. Oh, he could. Walworth County, one male. Thank you. I'll help you get out and then you can just go ahead and have a seat right here and they'll be right with you and get all that stuff off you, okay? Yes, sir. You have a blessed night. Thank you. Okay, so Jerry was charged with possession with intent to deliver cocaine, first-degree recklessly endangering safety, fleeing any looting an officer, battery to a law enforcement officer, possession with intent to deliver THC over 200 g, and resisting or obstructing an officer. Jerry went ahead and pleaded not guilty to all charges and his trial by jury is set for June 6th later this year. Look, what I will say is this, anytime that you get into a vehicle pursuit, I'm telling you right now, it can end up in serious bodily injury or it can be fatal, okay? So, it's the actions of the suspect that kind of dictates how this is all going to end, all right? So, ring the bell notification, don't forget to subscribe, go to YouTube channel The Marlon Marachi Show to see me interview other cops, and we will see you on the next breakdown. Yeah.
