When we get to the jail >> Am I going to be alone in my cell or what? >> No, when you When we get to the jail, they're going to allow you to to retrieve any phone numbers that you wish from your phone, okay? Um and then they'll You'll be able to make phone calls. All right. Our job is just to get you, take you there. >> Am I going to be safe in the cell? >> Yeah, you'll be safe. You have anything on you that's going to poke me, stick me, or anything like that? >> I don't think so, no. Except my phone and >> You don't think so? >> I don't believe so, no. I don't have any weapons on me or anything. >> Okay. Just do me a favor, widen your stance for me. Wider. >> What will be the bail on this? >> I I don't know, buddy. It's It all depends on the judge. We don't have no bearing on that, okay? We type up the report, we do what we got to do, we bring you in, and then that's it, all right? Yes, you're going to be in Laurel County's custody, so of course you're going to be safe. These are your keys to the house? >> Yes. >> So, you're saying this phone is not your phone? >> No. Okay, so that is my phone, but that phone's SIM card doesn't work, so I had to get a new phone from the company. So, that phone actually makes calls, that phone. It doesn't I think it works, but >> So, you can get the numbers out of that phone, so you can make the call on that phone? >> Well, I have all the numbers in that phone, so I don't need to say >> Oh, it's okay. >> They just swapped the phones. >> All right, so you want me to bring this phone back to them? >> I'll just take both of >> All right, let's just take it in. >> Is there a fee or something? >> No, there's no fee. There's no fee. What's your first name again? >> Um Eldar. >> Eldar. All right. >> Could I Could I send you a picture of my dad after I get >> Yeah, once you get there you'll be able to make a phone call, all right? >> I hope he answers. >> Hold on, let me get this for you. >> [snorts] >> Just go ahead and sit back for me a little bit? Thank you. All right. >> [snorts] >> You know they called the police on me. >> Hey man, it's going to be a little bit, all right? We got immigration and border patrol here, so >> Are you able to take the cuffs off at least now? >> Huh? >> Are you able to take my cuffs off? At least Okay, like loosen them maybe? The cuffs are >> I can't take them off. I can loosen them for you. >> Yeah, cutting into my skin. If possible, thank you. >> Which one? >> Uh this one. >> This one here? >> Yeah. Oh, that's tightening it. >> I don't know. I'm trying to uh unlock >> thank you. >> Is that better? >> Yeah, I appreciate it. Thank you. >> I don't want them to lock up on you. All right, there you go. >> Yeah, will be able >> It's still tight, man, all right? Once they're ready, then I'll let you know, all right? >> Okay. >> All right. >> The AC is on or no? >> We got the AC blowing to the max. >> Okay, I appreciate it. >> Do you want me to roll the window down or >> Yeah, can you leave the door open or No, I don't >> I can roll the window down for you. >> Yeah, that would work. You said immigration and border patrol? You said immigration and border patrol? >> I'm not going to say that it's not that big of a deal. >> Okay. >> But I'll be able to be able >> Get out tomorrow basically? >> Yeah, you So usually what happens is you'll see the judge in the morning. >> Okay. >> The judge will set your bond if you get a bond. Sometimes depending on the type of arrest your bond your bond amount might be zero. >> Is this one of them or is this >> I don't know. It's all up to the judge, so >> True, but from like your experience >> I've made arrests before where I thought that they were, you know, the bond was going to be high and the bond was zero and they were out by the morning. So >> The person that I threw the rock to he was having an affair with my wife. I'm divorcing her. And and also she's illegally here so if I divorce her she'll also get deported. So It's a lot going on. >> You can go ahead and step out. Want to go out this way here? How you doing? You want to go through this door? Yeah, so like I was explaining, so like this is When you see the judge in the morning, that's just for the judge to set your set your bond amount so that way you can get out, right? Um so let's say for instance, somebody was sentenced to let's say a month in jail, right? Or let's say that their bond amount is 10,000. And they don't have that 10,000. So the alternative to that would be what? I don't have the $10,000. Well, you're going to sit in jail for 30 days. So let's say your bond amount is set at whatever, let's say 500 bucks. You pay the 500 bucks, you get out of jail, but you're you're still going to have to go to trial or you're going to have to see the judge for the case. You know what I mean? And then at that point that's when you're able to hire an attorney and then You can take a seat on on that bench there, all right? >> The man was arrested on a charge of aggravated battery, a felony. Court records indicate the state filed the case as battery touch or strike, a first-degree misdemeanor. As of publication, no plea or sentence has been entered.
