What's your evidence? >> I already told you. >> Since she's going to keep yapping non-stop for about 5 minutes. How about you guys actually actually consider there could be other reasons why I would be swinging on a Washington roadway. Oh, no lights. Oh, perhaps trees on both sides. Maybe it was because I didn't know where I was going because we are in the middle of nowhere. >> But yeah, let the rest break my window spray pepper spray in my eyes. Are you still filming? Yes. >> I have the right to face you. I can't face you. I can't face you. So, take your strength off my >> Take your strength off my tricep. I don't have the right to face you, officer. I am not getting >> We're not asking you any questions, are you? >> I'm not getting in a car until you >> This is an ambulance. >> Great. What ambulance? >> Who is this? Who is this? All right. Quilting. Quilting. Fire and rescue. >> Quilting team fire and rescue. I respect you firefighters. Thank you. I will cooperate. >> Do you police officers? >> Hey, I'm going to move your hair out of your eyes. >> Oh, why do that? Just spray copper spray. Break my windows. Spray my dog. Spray my French cheese. Spray me. Why? Cuz driving your Mercedes and then putting her social media post up. Sure. Awesome. Awesome. I would love it. She's been >> strong. Are you serious? I'm holding. >> Are you still filming? >> I sure am. >> Good. >> You have the right to talk to an attorney. >> You have the right to talk to an attorney before answering any questions. You have the right to be present during questioning. For you without cost if you so desire and exercise these rights at any time. You understand these rights. Do you understand? My name's Lyn. I'm an EMT. I'm going to take care of you. Check out. Okay. I'm going to touch your hair. Okay. Do you want to touch some pepper spray with? >> No. No. No. >> Oh, that's what these dead hairspray pepper spray on me. Oh my god. Yeah. It's amazing. Are you coming to my ambulance with me? >> Do I have a choice? Clearly, I don't. I'm handcuffed in a strong arm. I have no choice. So, I'm definitely getting in your ambulance with you, Lyn. Okay, come on. >> In the end, she's charged with DUI, attempting to elude a police vehicle, and resisting arrest. Her dog was taken into custody and remanded to the county animal shelter. The cops then later learned that she had two prior DUI arrests. Moving on to this crazy case now where two drunk principals got double DUI in one vehicle. >> We're both principles. We're not bad people. >> No, please. We're under arrest. >> No. Why? >> Well, because you you were given an opportunity to go home and then you made the choice to then go get the car that you were told to leave in the parking lot and drink impaired or drive it. >> Hey, good evening. >> Hi. Hey, do you happen to have your driver's license and registration on you? >> I don't have my license, but I have a copy of it. >> Don't have your license, but you have a copy? >> Yeah, I can. >> Yes. Can you give him my license? This is my car. This is my car. >> Your car? >> Yes. This is >> Okay. >> My friend is good getting me home. >> Okay. Well, she's driving, so we got to have her license. >> I got I know. >> Stop. >> I know. Where's your name? >> You still looking for it? >> What's your first name? >> Jennifer. >> Jennifer. >> We're both principles. >> I'm >> Oh, you have a picture of it. Okay. >> Yeah. >> All right. I'll write it. >> My first. >> Okay, I'll write it down. And you said it's your car, correct? >> Her car. >> Okay, that's fine. >> No problem. And where are you ladies coming from tonight? where we're like two seconds away from the house. >> Yeah, but I said where I asked where you were coming from the kids and then >> Okay, that's fine. Serious >> to eat and then riding home. >> All right. >> Well, they sound drunk. Pretty sure they of alcohol. And the officer thinks so, too. So, he's going to ask them if they had anything to drink. >> Miss Jennifer, are you consuming any alcohol today? Yes, >> cuz I can smell it. Which? >> Yes, I have. Okay. Or you mind stepping back here so I can talk to you. Are you related to her or anything? >> I'm a best friend. That's >> why. Right over here. Be careful. Why? Why is she speaking for you? >> Let's not fall here. Let's go right where the light is. >> Yep. Just right there. Okay. Say that again. >> She's worried about me. >> Okay. Why is she worried about you? you're >> cuz we are both high up in we are both >> high in the totem pole of you know education and >> okay >> our workforce so it's it's it's hard and we're both uh married to police officers so >> okay well my wife's married to a police officer too and I'm >> just get home and I >> Is she currently married to one or she have an Um, both of us are, we just recently divorced, >> so I'm trying to get her home and >> Okay. >> I thought she was going to be the DVD, but it didn't happen. And so I'm just trying to get a quarter of the way home. >> Okay. >> I just moved. We just got divorced and I just moved. >> I'm sorry to hear that. >> Uh, I don't know. You should be thankful for me. Well, I don't know about the personal stuff, but just just to be clear, the reason why we're here is because >> you you guys are over by Mini Do you know the area? >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, you're over by Minihaha. >> Mhm. >> Um and what would that be? East Avenue. >> Yeah. >> You know where that is? >> Yes. >> Okay. You guys were at the light. When you're coming down Minihaha, you're all over the road. >> Okay. >> To the point even when you come around this corner, you're in that travel lane. Okay. So then >> I sure might. Okay. I believe you. I I I don't know, but I believe you. Okay. >> Do you remember hitting the curb over there by like morning drive? >> No, I do not. >> Okay. So that that's why I'm here. And then I go up, I talk to you. I notice you have like very slow delay reactions. I could smell the alcohol. Um you even have like slow blink. You know >> your orbital sway. Like I said when you see >> Huh. >> I know it all. I've been there 20 years with my >> So, I'm just I'm just explaining to you why I got you out of the car. It's not every day that I usually have a passenger do more talking than the driver does. So, >> she's worried about me. >> I'm worried. I'm worried too. That's why I'm here >> because I'm a good person and she doesn't want me to be. >> So, Jennifer, I never said you were a bad person. >> No, no, no. It's not about that. It's just >> All right. >> Sorry about my future. Get And with suspicion of driving under the influence, the officer then asked her to perform a field sobriety test. However, she's going to refuse to do so. >> Well, since we're in this position with you, you know, having operating control of the motor vehicle. >> Yes. >> What I'm going to ask of you is if you would like to perform field sobriety exercises to dispel my concern, >> I can't do that. >> Can't do it. >> Remember, my ex was >> Your ex is irrelevant. He's not in the car with you. >> I No, I get that. But you know, >> so I'm asking you cuz you're you're an adult. >> No, I can't. >> So, do you want me to repeat it or do you understand what I said? >> I'm sorry. Repeat it if you want. >> Okay. So, what I'm asking or requesting of you is that you perform field sobriety exercises to dispel my concern that you're able to safely operate. >> Okay. So, you don't want me to explain it? >> No. >> Okay. You sure you don't want me to explain? >> I mean, you could you can explain if you want to. Sure. >> Well, I keep trying. You keep interrupting. So, I don't want you to be confused. I I I don't remember. >> If you if you understand, you understand. I don't have to go. I'm just trying to >> You can You can >> So, you do want me to explain? >> Yes, please. >> Okay. >> The reason I'm asking that is because I would like you to perform field sobriety exercises to dispel my concern that you are able to safely operate that vehicle. >> I see. >> So, I know you've given me an answer, but with me saying that, >> do you not want to perform fields bry exercises or do No. >> Okay. And you understand the recourse from that what what takes place? >> I I I I think so. But you can expand on that if you will. You >> will. So what that means is that I'm going to take the information gathered from your driving pattern and and the roadside that I made with you, roadside contact, and make a determination on what I'm going to do next. >> So when I ask that's, you know, and you say you don't want to dispel my concern, that's okay. That you're right. But then I'm telling you I have to take based off what I have and make a determination. >> Does that make sense? >> Yes, I do. >> Okay. >> Can I speak to you solely without another party or not? >> Well, I was just it was you and me here before she got here. >> Yeah, exactly. That's what I'm asking. >> So, do you want to perform a field soiety exercises? >> Can I speak to you solely without her? I'm not It's not about >> uh after after you answer my questions. Okay. >> So, do you want to perform the exercise? Okay. And you do understand adverse consequences. >> Okay. >> All right. >> So, go ahead. Put your hands behind your back. >> As the cops are putting the driver under arrest, the passenger started to act up. >> Hey, stay in the car. >> I know. We're good. >> Okay. Stay in the car. >> Come on. We're like 2 seconds from home. >> Okay, cool. >> We're both school principals. We're like, come on. Don't do this to us. >> Do what? I I'm standing here. >> I know. Like, we're not doing anything wrong. She's taking care of me. >> Okay. I I didn't I didn't say y'all did anything wrong. I'm just standing. >> You're not. >> So, all I did was just tell you not to get out of the car. >> That's it. >> All right. >> All right. So, she is going to be arrested. >> No, she's not. >> That's why. >> That's what that officer came to the conclusion. >> Why? >> He came to that conclusion. She was driving intoxicated. >> No. Why? Okay. >> Come on. >> So >> like we're two principles of two charters. Please don't do this to our careers. >> Okay. So that's not that's okay. >> Please don't. >> That's not to me. What's already done is it's done. Okay. It's done. >> Please don't. It's done. Please don't. >> So can you call someone to give you a ride? >> I will. But please don't do that to me. >> Okay. Call someone to give you a ride. >> But come on. >> Call someone to come pick you up. >> What happened? >> Call someone to come pick you up cuz obviously you're not in a good state to drive. >> I understand. and it would be a danger to yourself and other people out on the road. >> I I understand, but like I don't want that to happen. >> Okay, so it's it's already done. It's already done. She's already >> She's already placed under arrest. She's already >> determined to be di It's done. It's done. >> It's done. There is no There's no negotiating. >> Please, I'm begging you. We work for Okay. No, no, no, no. You got to listen to me. All right. No, no, no. You're listening to me. Get Get a [ __ ] ride here right now. We're done. >> I will. >> We're done. >> I will. >> It's already said and done. Get a ride. >> I will. >> Get a ride. >> Please. Like, please.
