During my 24 years with the LAPD, it's been my experience that physical evidence doesn't lie and it never forgets. You're about to see exactly why. Take a look. Pon Coast Parkway and like flipped the front of my truck and just kept driving and uh I'm like, "What the hell?" You know, and I'm flashing my lights and like it's like they didn't even realize they hit me. And so I I was following them down the Parkway. I flashed my beams a few times. They're swerving all over the road. They about hit a Volkswagen next to them. They hit the curb. They went off the road a few times and uh they just wouldn't stop. I'm like like what the hell are you doing? Pull over. You just freaking hit me, you know. And then they know I think they must have noticed I was behind them cuz I'm flashing my lights a few times and they turned left into the Kohl's parking lot, you know, and they kind of slowed down. I thought they were going to stop, you know, and I was behind them. Then they just started going again. They turned left, came out over here um like by I guess the CVS exit by the McDonald's south on Valter and just kept driving and the I was on 911, you know, the whole time and she told me to stop following them, you know. Did you guys find them? You find the car? No, we're coming to find you first to see what's going on. Well, they were going south down Belair about a half an hour ago now. Mhm. Nobody went to look for him. There's tons of stuff going on. He can't be everywhere at the same time. I mean, the guy hit like another car and, you know, he's all over the road. I thought that would be kind of a priority, a drunk driver, you know. I gave her the plate number. I took a picture of the the back of the car with the license plate. Did you see who was operating with you? It looked like maybe a woman. They had long hair. That's the car right there. They came across at the old King's intersection. Would you be able to identify her if I showed you a picture? I Yeah, I mean, I think so. Yeah, there was another person in the passenger seat and there was a little dog in the car, too. They just kept driving. They and they hit a white Volkswagen, too. I don't know what happened to that guy, but I'm sure. Did you get another call for someone else that got hit? Yes, it does warrant a follow-up investigation. You know, yeah, we're busy. You know, there's priority calls, uh, this and that. But I can tell you that in my beloved LAPD, this is a hit-and-run investigation, right? A misdemeanor not committed in your presence. And often times we just do follow-ups, but when you're working patrol, you can't just uh stop what you're doing. And because that radio, man, you're going to get service calls. I can tell you like on a Friday night, no matter where you're at in the city of Los Angeles, from 6:00 p.m. probably all the way to 400 p.m. you're chasing that radio. So, I can see his frustration. But look, you got a great witness, right? And you got some good statements. Not only did he not only did she crash one vehicle, right? Collided with one, but it looks like she collided with multiple cars. So, you know what? This will be a really good follow-up investigation. If you can identify her, you got the license plate, run it, it comes back with an address, and uh let's see what we got. Jesus. I mean, they all over the road. They hit me at the intersection like I was stopped at the red light of Old Kings in the Parkway and I just Which light did you? Uh I was heading west on the Parkway. I was in the all the way in the left lane, you know. I left Waw Wa there. Came left lane and uh they came from kind of like like the light turned green. I just started to go. They already had momentum like they just came. They cut right in front of me. bam, hit the front of my truck and just like got right in the lane right in front of me and I just started following them. I don't even think they noticed honestly that they hit me. I mean, they were definitely like hammered or under influence of something cuz they were all over the road. Well, when they stopped in Kohl's, did they have any business there or did it look like they were trying to lose you? I think they were trying to lose me because, you know, I flashed my high beams half dozen times at them down the Parkway like, "Hey, like pull over already. You hit you know, they came across me like this, like boom, like dragged across me and just got in front of me and just kept driving. I did all that and then they scuffed my I just put those 22s on just like a week ago. Literally just made the first payment on this truck, but sick to my stomach. And if it comes to it, do you would you like to pursue a possibility of criminal charges against the other person? want them to fix my truck. So, whatever that takes, you know, I don't feel like I should be responsible for it, you know? Like, I think they will have criminal charges. I mean, they're completely wasted. Like, there's nobody that drives like that even halfway sober, you know? They were all over the road. They went completely off the parkway. I thought they were going to go all the way down into the ditch for a minute. If a crime did occur, would you want to pursue the possibility of Yeah, she needs to be taught her a lesson. And I got arrested before for doing some dumb [ __ ] and you know I got taught my lesson. Hi, good evening Deputy Finn Flagger County. Hi. Hi. What's your name? I'm Pamela Abernathy. Pamel, can you get yourself? What's going on? We'll explain everything once she's there. Okay. So, before we go any further into this incident, yeah, they did a follow-up. Good on Deputy Finn's part making those decisions. Again, they probably ran the plate. They probably have video surveillance as well to conduct this further investigation to see uh if she was actually involved. Now, this probably entire arrest, right, if we're going to affect an arrest is going to lie a lot on what she says. So, really interested to see what's going to happen. Hey, good evening, Deputy Finn. Figureer County, how you doing today? I'm okay. What's happening? You know why we're here today? No. Okay. We're here about a crash involving your vehicle today. A crash? Yeah. You can hang out here for us. No, I'm looking at my vehicle. I'm like, what are you talking about? Okay. Um, what were you doing around 8:30 today? Where were you coming from? 8:30 this morning? No, this evening. I was on my way. Okay. So, Right. So, whereabouts were you driving? Where were you coming from before you came? Probably by uh if we came from the park. So, maybe Cypress Point. Which park did you come from? Not waterfront, but just past like where European Village is. There's a Who were you with? Huh? You said we. Who are you with? My boyfriend. Okay. And then you took Palm Coast Parkway. So you said Cyber. No, we take it like up just pass. I'm not familiar with it. I asked my mom. I'm I'm trying to think all the roads. You have your license, registration, insurance, and is your boyfriend here? Yeah. Can you get him for me, too? Yeah. Um, just out of curiosity, um, were you driving or was he driving? I was driving. You were driving and you were coming from that park? Yes. Um, was it just you and him or was there anybody else? Any animal? Oh, the dog. Okay. Yeah. Um, you, him, the dog. Where was he sitting in the vehicle? In the passenger seat. [music] Passenger seat. Um, so do you recall the the incident in which we're talking about? No, you're talking about an accident and I'm sitting here looking around like, don't touch anything, but you've got significant damage on your motor vehicle. That's pretty significant. That's been there. That's been there since when? since before I even got the vehicle from him. Okay, I'm going to push the BS button right there because that does not look like it's been there for a while. It looks fresh. And you can see there's a a bit of a blue paint transfer from that awesome truck of the victim, right? We can call him the victim, right? Or the RP, the reporting party or the PR, the person reporting as I've previously uh described before, right? It's either the PR or the RP. And I guess in this case is a victim because this is a misdemeanor criminal offense, right? Hit and run. Now that type of blue, which is pretty badass in his truck, it's like a distinct blue. It's not just regular blue. And her car is dark. So you can tell and that's just not minor scratches. So really interested to see or actually really interested to know or hear what she has to say about these u minor scratches or you know what I I I didn't know. you know, all of a sudden I have amnesia. I wasn't involved in an accident, which could be the case. It could be. I don't know. You know, sometimes when you hit a car and maybe if you're impaired, that could be the case. You don't know if you actually hit another vehicle. I don't know. Let's find out. And how long have you had the vehicle? I got it in let's see we start dating so was it November or December of 2025. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Cuz there's don't touch anything. Just don't touch it. There's that. And I said, "Well, what happened?" And he was like, "Well, I got sides swiped." in. Yeah. Okay. If there was an accident, I think I would remember it. You mind if I sit down? Uh, let's just go to the car. So, where did you get this car from? What's that? You This was your car prior to giving it to her? Yes, sir. Okay. Um, and was there any damage on this car? Yes, there was. Where? Huh? Where? On on the rear [ __ ] just on the rear bumper that crack. Yeah. Okay. Was there any other damage notable scratches? Uh yeah. On this side? Yes, sir. Okay. What about the other side? Any scratches or no? No, not that. Okay. No scratches on the other side that you know of. Just some scratches here. I mean, did there was, you know, just minor just minor stuff. It's It's a It's a freaking older car. You know, um I I'm not sure what your So, where was the damage that you remembered? Well, c can you turn your flashlight on? Just tell me in generalities where that damage was that you remembered. Okay. Um there was there was some scratches over here and there was some scratches over here. There was a crack in the [ __ ] bumper. And uh and what color are the scratches? Freaking two grays and I think one blue. So was this damage there before? That blue? Yeah. Yeah, this was When When did this get on the vehicle? before I got it. Before you got the car? Yeah. So, this scratch was on there since you got the car. And since you got the car before her, it's been on there since before she got it. Yes, sir. Okay. Damn, the boyfriend's even digging a deeper hole, man. Just keep digging. Doesn't make no sense. Look, uh, Deputy Finn is doing a great job methodically asking these questions so that he can have those articulable facts, right, Paul because to believe that she already admitted that she was a driver to believe that she was the one that was involved in the accident and it's a misdemeanor because you hit and ran. Right. You left the scene. Just I'm I'm I'm just trying to figure [ __ ] out right now. Yep. And uh and I'm trying to [ __ ] understand why you guys don't. And on a side note, you know what? Let's turn it down a notch with the F bombs. No need for all that. We're having a really good conversation. No one's escalating, acting all cray cray and all that good stuff. So, you know what? We're good. Just turn it down on the fumps, please. So, why would she get into any particular situation? Why is that of concern for you? When someone tells me that, indicates she was the driver. Yeah. So when somebody tells me that, that indicates there's some truth that you're not telling me with the potential concern that it may harm her. It's not it's the doctor's honest. Okay. All right. And there is no there's nothing that I I just don't get it. Yeah. This vehicle was in an accident. This vehicle struck another vehicle today. It is on camera. It striking another vehicle. Okay. Um, there's also pictures of the vehicle and we also have pictures of this vehicle since since there was the invention of cameras and we can see what damage was on the vehicle and what's not. And my concern is is that we're here investigating a crash and this is an official investigation because we are law enforcement investigating a crash as we as we identified to you. And my concern is the truth and lying in an official investigation is a crime. So, do I need to call a [ __ ] attorney? Am I under arrest? I'm not trying to get anybody in trouble. As I clearly explained before, crashes are civil in nature, okay? It's a crash. So, this vehicle was obviously in a crash, okay? We are trying to conduct a crash investigation for the insurance to take care of or for you guys to take care of on a civil level. Okay, we are looking for the truth. So, why don't you talk to her? Because you were in the car. We're talking to both people. Both people were in the car. So, would you like to change your story at all? Did Did I feel anything? Absolutely not. Okay. Just because you Let me just stop right there. He said, "Did I feel anything?" As if, let me get this straight. You're asking the cop if he felt anything when he wasn't there when you collided with that again, that badass truck with that distinct blue color of the uh of the truck. Come on now. Come on. Help me out here. Personally didn't feel anything. Doesn't mean that the vehicle still didn't collide with something. It does look like there's a [ __ ] Yes. Looks It looks like there's a little bit of [ __ ] [ __ ] on the side. So, okay. So, it looks like there's some new stuff on there that wasn't there before. Perfect. That sir. Awesome. Yes, sir. I I apologize. Okay. I There was There was a little blue back here. Let's not touch it. Let's not touch it cuz that just wiped off the fresh blue. Sorry. I I apologize. Yeah. All that blue is fresh. I wasn't there. I mean I mean I was there but I didn't [ __ ] I wasn't. So I don't know how well the light was showing when you were over here looking at it to get your ID but all this is the damage that you were saying was there. Yes. Prior to today. Yeah. There were scratches on the I didn't care. again. So, all the blue marks and scuffs and everything, that was all there two months ago when you bought the car. Yeah, cuz there's also this crack there cuz I was asking and we had to get the brakes and the um wheel hub on the passenger side fixed. And then when's the last time you took the car to a car wash or anything? Well, let's see. Apprentice Park last week probably maybe a month. All right. You're not under arrest or anything at this time, but I do have something to read to you. All right. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say may be useless against you. You have the right to talk to an attorney and have him or her. Okay. Like I said, you're under arrest at this time, but I want to make you aware that lying during a crash investigation is a criminal offense. Okay. But what crash? But what crash? So, there's you realize that the city of Palm Coast is very well surveiled and we have cameras at almost all intersections and license plate readers and access to cameras everywhere. I think I would feel a crash and I would I would I would think so, too. But I would more so think that if you had this damage prior, you would know that this damage was here. Okay. So, I'm just saying there was no one flashed their lights at me. No one. Okay. I mean, right now I'm more concerned about the fact that you're saying that there was or that there was all this damage on the car 2 months ago when you purchased. There was damage on the car. Yes. I'm not I can't say it was exactly everything, but very substantial damage. I mean, anybody would know that this damage was on the car if this was here. I mean, yes, there were all the the scratches and there's some on the hood, too. Like, but I'm not I'm not worried about the hood. I'm talking about right here specifically. all these blue lines and wiping off all the what do we call it pollen on the car and everything else. All this damage was not here 2 months ago. Wow. Well, I think it was cuz I asked about it and I said, "What does it, you know, is there something that I need to know about?" You know, and we already discussed the wheel hub, the brakes, and so I wanted to make sure there was nothing else cuz I know there's a fuel filter. Maybe I got to Man, I got to push that BS button again, man. She's also digging herself a major hole. You know, grab that shovel. Looks like she borrowed the shovel from her boyfriend. As she's stating to the cop, "No, you know what? This happened 2 months ago. Now she's talking about this fuel. Doesn't make any sense whatsoever. But then again, what you want is self- admission, right? You want someone to be forthcoming, forthright, truthful, and honest, and you're not going to get that. This all could have been handled as a civil matter, but the fact that you actually took off from the scene of a crash, that's where that misdemeanor that wasn't committed in your presence happened. So, there's one criminal offense. And now, the fact that you're lying during an official investigation, there goes two charges. I don't care about the internal components of the vehicle. I am talking about this damage right here on the driver's side of the car. all of these blue streaks and everything else that was not here two months ago, not even here a week ago. I seen the damage, so I seen the streaks. I guess I just didn't pay enough attention to it or whatever, but you seen the streaks, right? I know if there was an accident, I would have stopped and I mean, I would hope so, but No, I would have. I've been hit by a semi. Believe me, I would have [ __ ] stopped. Again, let's turn it down a notch with the fbombs. So, again, with it in mind that lying during a crash investigation is a crime, you're still maintaining that all of this damage was here before today. I'm saying there was damage there before today. No, all of this damage. I'm not asking if there was a scratch anywhere on the car. I'm asking if all of this substantial blue I'm telling you why sit there and and everything else there was damage on the car before I bought it. Yes. Okay. I'm asking you strictly about all of this damage. I mean I can easily say yeah there was damage on my car. There's a nick in my windshield. I'm saying are you specifically saying that all of this damage was No, I'm not specifically saying all of it. I'm saying that when I bought it there were the there were scratches there was and sure it's an older car. There very well may have been some small scratches. No way. Was there heavy damage? There was there was white streaks. I didn't look if it blue, white, whatever. You've been driving the car for 2 months. You get in on a driver's side of your car every time, right? I don't pay attention. You don't pay attention getting on a driver's side of the car? No, I mean I I get in because it was some stuff was already there. So I just get in. I drive to St. Augustine. I go to my laundry attendant and but I know if there was an accident and someone flashed in their lights, I would have damn stopped. And that's what you guys are telling me, right? So, but I'm not even asking you if you were in a crash at this point. I'm asking you. No, but you had asked me about that earlier and I gave you my license and everything else like that. I I I would have freaking stopped cuz I'll explain everything in a minute, but for now, put your hands behind your back. Just so you're aware, at this time, you are being placed under arrest. Okay. Do you have anything on your armor poker? Just the car keys. Just the car keys. Okay, final thoughts. Uh, first and foremost, big shout out to Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, and I believe that's where uh, uh, Deputy Finn is from. Outstanding job. Look, fresh damages, camera like surveillance video, and pain transfer beat any denial, any stories that the boyfriend, and the arrest he came up with, right? Stay calm and methodical. That's what Deputy Finn did. He did an outstanding job asking all those questions and investigating this crash. Okay, I'm going to tell you right now, a lot of cops don't like doing what we call TC's, traffic collision investigations. But with that being said, you know what? If you lie during a crash investigation, that's its own crime. I kind of mentioned that already. And look, the final thoughts here is impaired driving destroys lives. Okay? Own your actions at the scene. Hope you learned something. Okay, so she was charged with leaving the scene of a crash and providing false information during a crash investigation. As of now, there is no public booking records and there's no final charging document or dispositions that are available in any searches. Ring that bell to be notified for the next upcoming drop.
