These cops conduct a traffic stop over a cracked windshield, then uncover a major drug bus with a mom and her three kids inside. That's a gun. Y cops question the driver and passenger after finding drugs in a firearm in the vehicle. Things escalate when their stories don't add up and the officers suspect they're both lying. Take a look. Hey, how you guys doing? Hi. Thank you. You have your license with you, man? Thanks. Reason I stopped you, a few different reasons. One, did you buy your vehicle with the window tint like this or did you get it done? I bought it like this and then this happened on our way here. I just drove it from Nevada. Yeah, I caught that. That's a pretty decent crack right where your view's supposed to be at. So, okay. All right. So, my mechanic can't fix it. I took it in yesterday for oil change and all that crap. Okay. You got a dog in the back? Yeah, my little Tan. Oh, nice. Wimpy. She's wimpy. She's wimpy. Oh, wimpy. I'm taking I'm dropping them off and taking her back. Okay. But um you told me to have your license. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Do you have insurance registration with you for the vehicle? Do you happen to have an ID with you, sir? You have an ID on you? You don't? No. All right. Why? Why am I getting pictures? I told you the tint, the cracked windshield, then you shortcut through the parking lot. I know that's a weird right turn on the intersection. You There's signs. You make a right at the intersection. And there's some signs. They loop you around the other hotel. I didn't know. You're not from here, so I wouldn't expect you to know that, but you got to obey the signs. Oh, you are? I moved to Nevada. Okay. I just saw you Monroe Falls. Is that still a good address? Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah, that's what I s Thank you. I got to loop around. What's that? I got to loop around. Yeah. Can you go ahead and write your name and your social for me? I appreciate that. Do you have an Ohio license? Oh, you're from Vegas. Okay. Yeah. Thank you. Okay, let's go ahead and stop right there. Time out. You know, hold the phone because we've had a discussion in other videos about, hey, can you ask the idea of a passenger, right? or can you detain a passenger legally? That is right. And look, there's nothing stopping a cop from asking for your ID. I know what we have thus far is just some traffic infractions, right? But you don't know what this traffic stop is going to turn out to be. We don't, right? So, if you ask and they say, "No, I don't want to give you my information." Okay, there's case law that says that you know what, you don't have to give them your ID. You don't have to identify yourself, at least for the passenger. Okay, that's been the uh the discussion, if you will, the debate. Okay, let's see what happens. Thank you. I appreciate that. I'm going to talk with you out here. Okay. I'm going to have my partner watch traffic. I'm going to have you step out real quick, just go over this stuff and get you guys rolling on your way. Okay. I don't know. Something affecting me. What's that? Oh, no. I got a really bad rash. You got a rash? Okay. Well, you keep your shirt on. I know. No, it's really bad. I used the product. Okay. All right. Okay. Let's stand off here so we're out of between the cars. I don't like standing between them. Okay. So, where are you guys coming from today? From my room. From the room. No. So, I moved to Nevada. My son was getting in ton of trouble. So, I sent him back with his dad. Okay. And I gave it a little bit of time for him to learn like, you know, like you need me, you know what I mean? So, then I came out here to get him. We're staying there for a couple days. My winter backpack. We got stuck on a freaking mountain in Colorado. Oh jeez. Oh my god. I need a tuna. I Let's go back here. I'm going to write you a warning ticket. Not a real ticket. A warning. Hang on. Right here. I got my ticket. Uh my warning's on the other side. You can just stay right there. Yes, ma'am. One of your officers was telling me yesterday that my insurance should cover that cuz he said a lot of times they will. It depends on your level of coverage. Progressive. I have super full coverage. Okay, cool. I got to have lockouts toes and upies because I lock my keys in my car lock. You'll definitely be That's worth a call cuz that's not cheap. So, how do you know the guys in the car? Well, so they're all from SC except where we live. Yeah, those are they're all my son's friends and his girlfriend. They wanted to hang out. My daughter missed some so I let them come stay the night. I got to take them all home. Is your son in the car? Yeah. Which one? My son's in the middle. Oh, in the middle of the bath. Okay. And then that's his best friend from Nevada. I brought him with me to kind of help, you know what I mean? Help with the drive and then help get him back out there and keep us from arguing and just like kind of mediate, you know what I mean? Yeah, that's nice. Cuz he's struggling with some things and I'm just trying to get him away from here. Yeah. Look, this canine officer, this canine handler is building this rapport because he might feel like there's more than just these traffic infractions, right? Uh as a matter of fact, when you start having these particular type of uh contacts, right? these traffic stops. These are drug interdiction type of investigations. So, because he's K9, guess what? The K9 is coming next. How long did it uh take you to drive out here then? Oh my gosh. The drive there was 4 days, but the drive back was a day and a half cuz I like already You drove from here to go there? I drove there with my kids and then my son acted up. So, I shipped him I flew him back out here. Okay. Cuz he needed to learn a hard lesson like what life's like without me. So you drove your son from Stow out to Vegas. Yep. And you packed up my [ __ ] and was gone. Okay. And you know, and we have I have a storage unit here. I need to empty out. So there's just stuff to take care of. I I just left. I didn't handle everything cuz I was just trying to really get him out of harm's way. So who did you drive back with from Vegas? With his friend. I brought his friend to help drive. The front passenger. Yep. I brought him to help drive and then to help me like to help us mediate cuz we argue a lot, you know. He's a teenager. Holy crap. Yeah. Yeah. He's he's locked up. He's not coming out. I got a question. Yeah. Um I have to meet a parent. So my son struggles with like the opiates or whatnot sometimes. You know what I mean? He's been sober, but he's relapsed twice. Um but I the problem is that the facilities won't take them without their consent and their minors. Yeah. which isn't effed up to me beyond royally mentally all kind of ways, right? But um I found out there was a place out here. That's why I really came back and he doesn't know it yet, but he's about to be thrown in. Okay. So, I don't know yet. I don't know how long it's going to take. Let me let you Let me ask you this. Your car does smell like marijuana. How much weed's in the car? I don't know. I know they were smoking. Okay, now we're getting to the good stuff, right? It smells like marijuana. There might be possible drugs. ask for a consent to search, all that good stuff, because chances are you're probably going to find something in that car. I'm not going to say go ahead and push the BS button because this is a good conversation, but chances are Yeah, you might end up at the Great Bar Motel before we left. Okay. I mean, it's Are they 21 and older? Yeah, he he is. Well, he's 20. He's about to be 21. He was smoking. Well, they got to be 21 and older. Okay. So, I didn't know that. They brought the weed in the car. No, he was smoking before we left. I I won't let them smoke in my room. He did smoke. He smoked in the car. Okay. I didn't I didn't know until I came out and smelled it and I was like, "Fuck you guys." Like, you can't do that. Yeah. You know what I mean? Hopefully my dog's okay. Your dog? Yeah. She's like not even stepping on it. And she's she's a show dog. Like I have a photo shoot for her. She's the dog that does the tricks in like the Yeah. And with the little bows. She's a kon. So, um, is there anything inside the vehicle I need to be concerned about that would be illegal in the car? Any firearms? Here we go. Not that I know of. Any kind of, uh, computer equipment for like skimmers, scanners, anything like ripping off credit cards, anything like that? There better not be. Okay. Part and part of what we do on the roadways is make sure there's nothing illegal going from point A to point B. Within the state, without a state, anything like that. Okay. So, no firearms, no. I came my kid. Okay. Any drugs inside the vehicle? Not that I know of. Any crack? No. Cocaine? No. Opiates? No. Marijuana? Meth? Anything like that? Not that I know of. Any large amounts of currency? What's that? Like a ton of money, like tens of thousands of dollars or anything like that? They rob as a Navy Fed, too. My bank account got hit for 20 grand in uh Vegas. Okay. That's not cool at all. Would you Would you mind if I searched your vehicle to make sure there's nothing illegal in there? Yeah. I don't I mean I I can search it. I have nothing to hide. Okay. All right. Thanks. I appreciate it. Uh this officer is just going to get uh your so and the phone number and that'll be it on there. That's just a warning. It's not a ticket. Okay. Just you got a few issues to take care of with the car and moving violations wise. Okay. All right. Thanks. Don't reach back here. What do you have? What do you have by Yeah, you're reaching hard, man. What's What's by your put anything in your back. While you're reaching down there, hold here. We're going to patch you down. Okay. I thought a little bit. Before we watch any further, I stand corrected. No K9 search, no K9 sniff of the outer perimeter of the vehicle because he did get consent to search. What's that? I got uh something in my pocket right here. What do you got in your pocket? Can I get it? Oh, yeah. Okay. Got just some weed. How old are you, man? I'm 20. You're 20? Okay. You got to be 21 to have it. All right. So, not the end of the world. I appreciate you being honest, though. Okay. I'm not looking to jam you up over a little bit of personal use. Okay. We could search. All right. You got shorts on or are those boxers? Boxers. Those are boxers. Okay. You didn't tuck anything down your underwear, down your pants, nothing like that. What's up? I just asked you, man. That's all right. All right. Oh, yeah. Did you already get that side? Uh, not real well. Is that just your vape? Yeah, that's just my lighter or your lighter, rather. Okay. Yeah. Where? What's that, dude? Move your hands for me. Yeah. So, in Ohio to have weed on you, you have to be 21 years old. Okay. You only What else you got in there? That's Feels like pills. Yeah. You guys I knew he had Yeah, he's crouched the pills. Hey, I'm just going to advise you your rights real quick. All right. All right. You understand your rights, man? All right. All right. What do you What do you have in your mouth? I don't have nothing. Dude, I don't believe that. What does that feel? It feels like pills are like big crap the whole time. Just tell me. That's my bones. We're going to find it. All right. If I shake it, is it going to fall out? Cuz I don't want to reach in your pants. No, sir. It's not going to fall out. I'm on the log. Right on. All right, let's go back in the second car. What else do you have on you? Cuz anything else you bring back to jail is going to be an F3. Even if it's a roach, if it's one pill, if it's a needle cap, right? You understand? Okay. Cuz do you have anything else on you? I'm going to have you kick your shoes off before you get in here. Okay. Are these fentanyl? Just straight up. Are they press F? Yes, sir. They are. Okay. Thanks, man. I just don't want to get that stuff. You know, it it doesn't hold up like regular pills do. I don't want to have somebody get a bunch of powder on them. Is there more in the vehicle? No, sir. That's Is there more on you? Uh, no, sir. That's That's You didn't seem too confident on that. You've been So, here's what's going to happen. Okay, I'll be honest with you. Thank you for being honest with me as much as you've been. Okay, I get it. You don't want to get in trouble with this. All right, I'm not You're not, you know, El Chapa with this. Okay, it's not a small deal, but it's not the end of the world. Okay, if you have something else on you, you're going to go to jail. All right, I'm just being upfront. Right now, you are going to jail, okay? For the possession of these, you're going to get strip searched in the jail. Okay? If you bring anything on in you, even if it's one of these pills or anything at all like that, that's a felony three. Okay? That's a pretty high felony in Ohio. That's mandatory jail time in most cases. Is there anything else on you? Cuz I'd rather find it out here and talk with you about it than have you bring it back in there. And then the bosses don't let us really talk. And you know, it is what it is. You bring something dangerous in the in the jail. Yeah. They don't they don't play with that. Yes, sir. No, sir. I don't have nothing else. Nothing else. Okay. I'm going to pat you down again to make sure. Okay. Is that Is that cool? All right. That's okay. While the officer is patting down the suspect, couple of things. Let me tell you back in my days uh in LAPD. Oh god, that's 28 years ago, right? We're working patrol. My field training officers, my FTO's used to always tell me, "Hey, Marlin, you know what? At a traffic stop, dope, money, guns. Where you find dope, there's money. Where you find money, there's guns." And we know, and I've said this before, is traffic stops are probably the most inherently dangerous situation to walk up to because you're walking up to the unknown, right? There's this other procedure as it relates to having a lawful arrest called CILA, S I L A that, that we used to call, search of incident to lawful arrest. So, now that we arrested one suspect, guess what? Now gives us permission, right? Or I should say the legal right to go ahead and start searching the vehicle. So, let's see what happens. How many are in there? You think like a couple hundred? About a hundred. Yeah. Okay. Listen, you might have a habit. I don't doubt that. Right. But that's that's all that's more in personal use. Okay. Go ahead. Spread your legs for me a little further. supposed to listen to I'm not trying to sign you up anymore, but like you realize it's a lot bigger card if you go to jail and there's more hidden Yeah. Okay. So, you haven't been on us one time yet. So, I'm giving you a chance right now. That's right. There's nothing on you forever. That was That was it. That we right. I'll let you have a seat. I'm going to check your shoes and I'll let you put those back on. Okay. If you want to sit like butt in, feet out or that works. I got it. All right. How much do Benciaga shoes cost? 800. 800. Come on. I got a comment. Are you really going to buy an $800 pair of sneakers? All right, man. You want to slide those back on? Put that in. Don't kick me, dude. Okay, dude. He was touching it the whole time in and out when I got caught on. Yep. Excellent catch on. We'll get them out. I got answers are evasive, dude. Yeah. She gave me a story about driving out to Vegas and one day with her son, flying the son home, taking him. She told you? Yeah. Taking him from Vegas to do we just arrested driving 4 days back here to meet the son again. They have no time limits. They have nothing like the car. I had no idea. Are we here? I was at RA talking to her. Her story didn't make sense. Even what your story is, what I got is they don't match. Right on. All right. Do you have a leash for your dog? I do. Okay. I was going to say I got a couple if you need one. Um, we're going to have everybody hop out. We do have probable cause. Search everybody in the vehicle. Okay. Well, he's an adult. So, and you're not his mom, right? I got to know. So, I'm not allowed to know. He's going back to jail. It's his business. If he wants to tell you, he can. Okay. It'd be like if you if you had something I wouldn't want to tell him. You know what I mean? He gives us consent to search and pat him down. I feel I'm like, "Dude, that's a bag of pills." He's like, "There's nothing there." I shook his pants. They fell down his pant legs. He said it's 100 fentanyl pills. I was just talking to mom and uh I saw you guys like push and cuff him up. So I just came up here. Yep. I saw the aftermath. I just didn't Yeah. He didn't really reach too hard, but we wanted to prevent him from reaching when I felt that. He gave us a bag of weed. He's 20. It's got to be 21. So that's 100. He said it was 100. And I asked him like, "Do these fentanyl?" And he's like, "Yeah." Said it was 100. So I'm starting here. This dude on the front had he had two phones and he was what's his name? This guy Lee something. Lee is the driver. Lee Flemer is the female driver. This guy's Jaro Pisano. Okay. Yeah. He had like too Okay. Yeah. Dude, none of this makes sense. No, for sure. I would not be surprised if she had something in her purse or stashed under his seat. Okay, dude. She's got two more phones in her purse. Do you mind? There's a brown paper bag in the backseat of my or back trunk area of my car. Do you mind just throwing that in there with it? That came from his pocket. It's in your trunk. Yeah. On the right side. The pills are in there. Check that out. I did. Yeah. If you want to check the other side or the back, man. Jump in. You already checked out this little satchel. I did, but double check it. That's a gun. Yeah. Baby girl. Hell yeah. Yeah. I didn't even get there yet. Run it. Keep looking up there. Yeah. Thanks. And this is why it makes traffic stops so inherently dangerous because you don't know what you're walking up to. Kick. I've never heard of that. So, did you talk to the kid if this was his bag or ask him anything? I did not. I did not. Okay. All right. We scratch the serial number. I was going to say I was going to do it, but go ahead and do it if you already got it up and I was going to take it off and call it a pup. So, I stand back over there. Yeah. So, I went and talked to him basically said that uh he remembers Miranda Rice. He's denying ownership. Doesn't know anything about it. That's not his bag. Not his gun. You showed it to him. We all know his [ __ ] And I didn't show him the bag, guys. Okay. I asked her. She goes, "Oh, I don't know anything about it." And the seven-year-old girl goes, "That's Chino's." Beautiful. I go, "How does she know that?" Well, he watches her sometimes and I don't see everything that happened. Perfect. Then, dude, that's good enough for me. Yep. Hey, sir. You doing all right back here? You want the window down? No, you good. Okay. All right. Is this your bag? Listen, I already know the answer because somebody that's a minor in that car tripped up and said, "Oh, it's Gino's bag." Yeah, that's not that's not all right. It's under your seat when you would reach it. See, I never seen it. So, when we dust it for Prince, you're not going to have any fingerprints on this. Push that BS button, man, because the seven-year-old already said that that belongs to Gino. That's that that's you, right? So, come on. Own up to it. Take some accountability. All right. That's what we're gonna do. We're gonna take the gun and do the same thing with that as well. Okay. All right. Hey, there's another bag. Where was that? Right under the front passenger seat. Nice. So, I was pulling the seat back. I don't know if it fell if it was there. I'm like, that back doesn't look normal. Where was it? Right under the front passenger seat. Right on. Like the seat. I was pulling on this and it fell out. So, let's [ __ ] yank these. Oh, what? You said something. What? Not breaking it. Just his phone, dude. I don't know whose phone's whose, man. There's like 18 phones in here. I wonder if these seats are loose, cuz that's where they're keeping it. And then Doug, do me a favor. This feels factory, but that that feels like a box right here. Feel yours, right? Like that doesn't feel right. Yeah. I Pat is coming. I've never seen a car trapped like that. Patton is coming. Let's finish it there. Yeah. What are we going to do with all that? I got another car coming to help with transport. We have what? We have 10. So that sets one. We could fit three in one car, three in another, or two in another. I think we should. Yeah. Yeah. Let's uh let's wait till we get more cars. Yeah. Dude, is that weed or is that key? Dude, it's that's not quite a key. Like that's like a quarter probably. Dude, if that's weed, I'm going to be really mad. I know that. Yeah, but there's no packaging. That's packaging. That's going to be [ __ ] heroin. Maybe it's cocaine at a cheaper house. I think it's coke. Hey, smells like it. Oh, does it have that like that painters like So, well, if it's pills, think about it like this. If this is 21 Yeah. How many do you think that would be? That's a good point. You know, it might be, man, man. Selling and transporting drugs. The saddest part about this whole incident is the fact that there's a seven-year-old in the vehicle along with two other minors. They haven't identified who they are, but think about that. Think about the impact it has on those kids. Feel that. That might be Bill's girl. These aren't too durable, so it's not like Yeah, you're right. I'm excited, dude. Nice [ __ ] job, bro. You great [ __ ] style. Greg's calling. So, what's going on? You know it. Am I getting arrested? What am I [ __ ] wrong? Why am I getting arrested? Let's just Oh my [ __ ] I'm just going to advise your rights right now. Right. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say and it will be to an apartment. Oh my god. Why am I being arrested? I know why you're being arrested. What are my charges? Yes. Your car is loaded with How many drugs? Well, he's legally loaded up. Oh my [ __ ] be charged with everything cuz you're getting charged with traffic. Yes. What What does that mean though? I know there's So, please explain that to me. Yeah, we can. We'll figure something out. They're not going to that's going to lean on. Can I put myself? So, so I'm just saying. You obviously know to go. You know, you know what's clean? We're not I'm not stupid. This is what I do. Okay. Okay. But I'm not I'm not clean. I didn't know all that [ __ ] was in that car. So, you're just driving. Whose car is this in? This is my car. Okay. Who is he to you? Gino. He's He's like a best friend of mine. Like he helped me get sober. He helped me drive out here. Like I thought he was not sober. I am sober. I saw your paperwork back. It's You're not so That's old. It's not It's like a beat. What paperwork? All the stuff in your bag. What stuff? Like I But I I I am doing very very well. And I'm not going to let you tell me that I'm not. I am doing a lot better. I don't I don't care. I'm not judging you. matter. I just I just have a problem when you lie. I'm not lying to you. I'm not lying to you. I know there's a bunch of [ __ ] in my car. I didn't know that. Why would I be driving around with a bunch of kids and a bunch of [ __ ] in my car? Very, very good question. And you're probably not going to take any accountability for having kids involved in your drug trafficking. I just want to know what's going to happen to my kids and my dog. They're going to go back to our station and then they're going to stay there until we figure out who to pick up. It's called my mom. And what am I exactly? But what does that mean? What do you think it means? I don't understand like what I'm looking at. Like what's about to happen? You never been arrested before. I have not like this. I got like a DUI, but no, I don't know how drug trafficking works. Taking her with the dog. With my dog. you're going to go. Okay, so let's go ahead and wrap this up. Uh, first and foremost, big shout out to Westlake PD. Man, it looks like you have some drug interdiction type of uh, experience and your training and experience led you to believe that it was more than just a couple of infractions. So, we call that a good hook, man. Great job doing that. Look, I'm going to leave you with this. Why do officers often conduct thorough investigations during what appears to be a routine traffic stop? What I will say is that not all traffic stops are always routine because officers are always constantly assessing for indicators, right, of this criminal activity beyond the initial violations. Okay, be safe out there. Up next, I'm looking at how a suspect manages to ambush a deputy from the backseat of a police cruiser. out of the car on the ground. On the ground, but that's over on my second channel where I'll be covering some of the most critical incidents in policing history. Okay, so Ann was charged with the following: a reduced trafficking charge, receiving stolen property, and possessing criminal tools. She was sentenced to time serve after 272 days in custody along with two years of community control. and Hanata was charged with the following: trafficking, improper handling of a firearm, receiving stolen property, and child endangerment. Now, he faced a much harsher sentence of 10 to 15 years in Ohio correctional institution due to his status as a prohibited person in possession of a stolen firearm. Okay, let's go ahead and click that like button and that notification bell. Okay, don't forget to subscribe. Please comment below because we want to hear from you.
