During my 24 years with the LAPD, I've handled thousands of traffic stops. Most of them routine, but this one, far from it. It's a white jeep temp 517804. Hi, how are you guys doing? I'm offic Police Department. Just the reason for the stop is when you come to that stop sign, you didn't make a complete stop and you also didn't use the stop sign that's right there. You didn't come to a complete stop. I'm not thank you. You did not. Oh, I'm sorry. So, but you have an ID on you. Um, kind of. Are you able to roll down these back windows, too, please? Thank you. You want both of them? Yeah, that's fine. If you don't mind rolling his window down, too, please. I appreciate it. Get your ID. I don't even have my wallet. I can give you my social. Okay. But I do have a picture of my ID, too. That works. Yeah, I'm fine with that. And then just something that we ask on all traffic stop. Any kind of firearms or anything in the car? No. Firearms. Okay. You still live up in Cocker Falls? Yeah. Okay. There's that back for you. Thanks. All right. Just hang tight for a second. Okay. Okay. Well, first and foremost, let me tell you that like I've always said in other videos is that you just never know what you're walking up to when you're conducting a traffic stop. It's the unknown, right? It's probably the most inherently dangerous situation a cop can be in. Okay. Now, with that being said, yeah, it kind of raises your suspicion when you're asking, "Hey, are there any weapons in the car?" And you know, it's no big deal. No one's no one's acting any different or any weird or strange, but we're going to see what develops out of this traffic stop. I believe for it was for a stop sign, a minor infraction, but again, you never know. Let's see what happens. Here, here's that back for him. Uh, what was that? Is that a blunt that's in there? Yeah. Do you want me When's the last time you guys smoked? Um 25 minutes. 25 minutes ago. Okay. Uh what we're going to do uh can you just go ahead and turn the car off, please? Yeah. We're we're going to have you guys step out for a second. Uh what we're going to do is call this PC search, probable call search, because you obviously have a blunt uh roach in there, and you guys just said that. You guys smoked about 25 minutes ago. So, we're going to have you guys step out. We're going to patch you guys down for weapons real quick. All right. Then we're just going to do a quick look through the car and then get you guys out of here. Okay. So, I'm going to ask you any kind of firearms in the car? Um, no, nothing that I'm sorry, sir. I just got my car back, so I don't I'm Can you repeat what you just said? That's all I got. Okay. So, we're we're going to get everybody out just one at a time. Okay. Okay. So, I'll just leave you guys' bags and whatnot in here and then we'll get you out. Okay. And then when you just step out, just face the face that way. I just got my car back from my front. You're all good. There should be nothing in here. Okay. Uh, do you have Can I check your pockets real quick? I appreciate it. All right. If you want to just step in front of our car. Okay. I appreciate it. Just face that way for me. Try not to step back just a little. Right here. I got a M in my hoodie pocket. That's it. It's a single [ __ ] too. Oh, okay. Okay. You okay if he checks your pockets? I appreciate it. I just got out of prison, bro. I don't know how I be. What? What' you get out for? Uh, I trust you. Okay. You I looked it up, bro. I did not know. I don't do [ __ ] We We're more. We're just more concerned about firearms. Oh, I don't do that. We package. Come back this way here. How long? 13. Yeah. right now. Stay stay there. Right now, we're just putting everybody in handcuffs right now. Okay. 13. You put this back in my pocket. I got you, man. Just give me one second. Perfect. Can you get a 42 for a cage, please? I'm going put it right here. Okay. So, like we used to say back in our LAPD days, code four in custody, you got two suspects in custody. And the code for meaning you completed their affecting an arrest. Now, with that being said, you pretty much found the gun in the uh middle council. Okay. So, now we're going to start investigating to see who it belongs to. Registration, and we'll talk a little bit later about these gun laws here in the state of Ohio. It's completely different in other states, [music] including the state of California, where it's a little bit more restrictive. So just uh let's see what happens. Can any of you head toward Can you talk to her, bro? Cuz I I got you. So right now everybody's just detained. So sir, I just got out of prison. I I understand. Just go. I got a job. I I understand. Just go ahead and swing your feet and we're I I'm going to work with you guys as much as much as you guys work with us. Okay. So, we're gonna wait for another unit to get here. We're gonna get here in the back of a car as well, and then we're gonna go from there. Okay. What's that? That's probably what it is. Okay. All right. Go ahead and put her back. Walk this way. Let's walk this way. Okay. Can you drop that for me? H you grab that for me. We're We're gonna hold it here for a minute. Yeah. Back this way. There was anything that he missed, right? You don't have anything else on you? No, I don't got nothing. I'll just go real quick. Just back. I just went to go pick up my my car from my grandpa's house cuz he has his business. Um, that's what you're saying to power wash. So if he does have a firearm, but if it is in there, then that's not my opt. Okay. So like I said, watch your head. Take seats for me. Watch your head. Appreciate it. Ania, correct? No, I'm not. I'm sorry. Ania. So I'm going to read your rights real quick and then we're going to have a talk about this. Okay. Okay. So you have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to talk to your lawyer. I have him or her present with you or why are you being questioned. If you're not afford to hire a lawyer, one will be appointed to represent you before any question if you wish. You can decide at any time to exercise these rights and not answer any questions or make any statements. And all you need is a yes or no for these exact two things. Okay. You understand? You see these rights of explained to you? Yeah. And having these rights in mind, do you wish to talk to us? Yeah. So, did you guys see us pull out of the our little parking lot when we were coming back onto what is that market and you guys are coming down Arlington? I think you guys were coming down market. The only thing I seen was when I was coming out of days cuz I was going to stop at the um store. When I came out, I seen that van almost hit y'all and I was like, "What the fuck?" And then that's when I just pulled out. So, I didn't see y'all any other time. Where were you guys even going? I was dropping him off. Where? At home. Where's home? McKinley. Oh, McKinley. So, why did you guys come down this way? I was just riding. Really? And I needed to go to the hair store. McKinley's that way. I need to go to the hair store right there. So, my thing is like obviously I picked him up. I was about to come to the hair store, went right there, and then I was like, "No, [ __ ] it." Did you see us behind you and that's why you guys pulled in the driveway? In this driveway? Yes. No. I'm sorry. No, I don't really care about that. So, it just looked a little weird to me. That's why we stopped you guys. It's okay because you guys immediately pulled into Davees as soon as we got behind you. And I wasn't even trying to follow you guys at that time, but it looked a little weird to me. Mhm. But then I turned on an exchange and I seen that you guys are in line to come back on an exchange. So, I waited for you guys to pull out, got behind you, stopped you for the the for the stop sign, and then no turn signal. How many times did I ask you guys if there was a firearm in the car? I didn't know it was one in there. I just got my car from my grandpa's. Okay. Whose gun is it? It's my grandpa's. But it's your car? Yeah. So, you know you're responsible for everything in that in that car then, right? No, I didn't. How old are you? 20. You're 20? So, you're not even allowed to have a pistol then, right? Yeah. I didn't have it. It's So, then whose is it? It's my grandpa's. I swear you can look it up in it. Guns don't work like that. They're not like IDs where, you know, you can run it and it comes back to someone. Guns, they don't have like an owner, if that makes sense. Okay. So, when when we run a gun, it's just going to come back if it's stolen or not. We don't know who's who owns it, cuz you can sell a gun and, you know, you don't have to register it. So, yeah. And let me kind of add to that about this uh registration of firearms. I can tell you here in the state of California, it's super restrictive, right? where every time that you decide to either give it as a gift or to actually transfer it, right, someone's going to buy it off you, you got to go to the local gun store and fill out all kinds of paperwork, thumb prints, ID, and then you got to wait 10 days uh for it to clear by DOJ, checking your background to see if you're actually allowed to even own a gun or it's what they call the prohibited possessor. So, and again, we don't want to get into all these different gun laws because there's different gun laws throughout every single different state. As you can tell, in Ohio, it's kind of like the same. And I think someone mentioned on the other video a comment about in Texas, it's kind of the same, right? Uh when you decide to sell your firearm or give it to someone, you don't have to go through the necessary paperwork to do so. Okay, that being said, I'm going to call BS on this because it is her vehicle, right? And she's headed to grandpa's. As you can tell, cops do have a hunch, you know, because these officers have been doing this for quite some time where they kind of see your behavior, where you're driving, what streets, they're very familiar with, you know, those streets because that's their beat and next thing you know, you get pulled over for an infraction. And then here we go. You don't know whose gun that is. You said it was your grandfather's. Yes. Okay. So, I'm letting you know right now you're under arrest. Okay. Okay. For CCW failure to disclose and then It is con carrying concealed weapon. Yeah. You failed to disclose that there was a firearm in the car. Okay. Even if I know it's your car. You're responsible for the what's inside. Okay. So, I'm going to ask you one time. Is it his gun? Who? The the dude in the car. Who is he to you? My friend. Your friend. How do you know him? Oh, like just social media. We just You guys aren't like boyfriend or girlfriend or anything like that? No. Okay. So, it's not his gun. Okay, you can just watch your foot, please. Uh, so he said that the reason why she was trying to dip on us because there was a gun in the car and that because her tags were expired. So, that was before he just acknowledged that there was a firearm in the car before we even stopped him. Obviously, again, he's a convicted felon, not allowed to be around firearms. asked him three times if there's fire on the car and he said no. So, so also with that even if he knows that there's a fire in the vehicle regardless of whether it's her Yes. he can still charge. Absolutely. So, they're both going to jail. Yeah. This I don't know who that is. What's this? Um abortion pill. They're abortion pills. Yeah. They're Yeah. Why do you have like 10 or 15 of them? Um, they come in a box. They're not mine. I never had one before. Okay. But, um, they come in a pack. I can explain it to you if you want me to. Go ahead. Okay. The big one is the green one. Yeah. The big one is what you want to take to like get it going, I guess. Like like the like the morning after thing. Yeah. Okay. And then the rest of them is like to follow up to make sure like you don't conceive it. I got you. Does that make sense? Kind of. Okay. So there there no kind of narcotics. I don't know. You could go ahead and test it out. Was that in the center console or is that in your purse? I don't know. Okay. All right. You know what I find interesting is that it's not her gun, right? It's grandpa's. And then these uh pills are not hers either. And she did a really good explanation about them. And it just seems as though is uh she's trying to be very deceitful uh with the [music] cops for whatever reason. We don't know. Um so I am letting you know right now you are going to jail and so is he. Okay. So right now your charges or you're so you're going to get a couple citations for the stop sign and then the the turn signal as well. And then your charges right now is at least going to be the CCW carry conceal weapons failure to disclose. Okay. Mhm. All right. That's it. As of right now, yes. Okay. Could I have my phone to go? The So, well, we we'll talk about the phones here in a little bit. Okay. Okay. So, just give us a couple just give us a little time. Okay. Okay. Yes, sir. Sir, listen. I'm being respectful. I'm not We're being respectful of you, too. I'm not talking crazy or anything. You're not. So, but so listen. Just let me talk for one second. So, both of you guys are going to go to jail, okay? Because both of you guys failed to disclose that there's a firearm in the car. I asked her multiple times if there's a firearm in the car. She said no. You just said that before we stopped you guys. She told you that there was a firearm in the center console. Correct. No, she never told me where it was at, but she told me. Okay. So that there's a firearm in the understand where you coming from. So again, I'm just let just let me preach. So again, you're a convicted felon. You told us you're a convicted felon. You need to tell us if there was a firearm in the car or not. Whether it was yours or not. And again, you're a convicted felon. You're not allowed to be around firearms. So, you're gonna go to jail for CCW fail failure to disclose and then weapons under. Okay. Does that make sense? Yes. Okay. What What questions do you have? I I can't let you make any phone calls right now. Once you get into jail, they'll allow you to do that. Sir, listen. So, even me, even when you do the prints and everything, y'all going to see that is not that I understand here. But again, you just told us that you knew there was I've been to prison. I understand I'm a convicted felon. I wasn't understanding. I was put in a predicament. But at the end of the day, I'm not even tripping about going into jail or nothing. I'm trying to figure out am I going to be able to bond? Am I going to We We have no control over that. We We just take you to jail and Summit County does the processing and the intake process pretty much. So So I can't even hit my mouth or nothing. No, man. Bro, I can't get two hits. Not right now, man. So, just give us some time. Let us do all our paperwork. We'll we'll get you guys out of here as soon as we can. Okay. Please, bro. Not No, bro. Let me out, please. Thank you. Okay. You know what? Uh he did mention uh the word predicament. Yeah. You know what? You put yourself in a really bad predicament. Look, I don't necessarily know all the conditions of your parole, right? because you're probably on parole, right? You're a convicted felon. But I'm willing to bet that one of those is that you cannot be around [music] farms whatsoever. Uh you are what we would consider a prohibited possessor. In other words, you can't even own one, let alone be around one. So that's very, very important. And yeah, man, he wants to take a hit to take the edge off to deal with all the stress that's coming your way. But yeah, you put yourself in a really bad predicament. Uh let's hope that you learn from this. So they're both going. Okay. So, so you said I'm being charged with what again? So, your charges are going to be for CCW failure to disclose and then for weapons because you failed to disclose that there was a firearm in the car and then weapons under because you said that you were a convicted felon. You know, you're not allowed to be in possession or near a firearm. I'm not saying the gun is yours, but again, the reason why you're being arrested as well because the statement that you made to us, which again is recorded, you said that she told you there was a firearm in the car, and that was before we even stopped you. So, you knew that the the presence of the firearm was there. And I we asked you two or three times each if there was a firearm in the car. So, when would you rather me, bro? I would rather you be up and straighten up and honest with us. What would that be? We wouldn't be in this predicament then. I wouldn't be. We still going to jail. Not necessarily. No. Can you get them numbers from me, please? You can do that in the jail. They're they're going to allow you to get uh phone numbers from this way here. Right here. Just going to fight you down one more time. I will put this with your phones. Okay. This one too. I will put it with your phone and everything. Hey, can you make a phone call for me, please, bro? 330. Be careful with your head. Do you want this? Yeah. Um, I'm going to let her sign the ticket. Okay. Okay. And then you can just put her in your cuffs. Okay. And also let's not forget that you do have the uh impact authority to go ahead and impound the vehicle, right? So again, let's not forget to uh either you know, you have the choice to actually say, "Hey, you know, if you have a family member come pick up the car or take over the car in itself, but you also have that option to uh impound the vehicle." And I guess that's what happened. So you're aware. Just watch your head. faces when they tell you all your nose rings and everything comes out and everything stop whatever you want. Um, you want this? What's that? You just like so you don't No, that's too close to my face. I don't like that. Then I can remove it. Just make sure I don't fall. Okay. You want me to put the seat belt on while you're driving? Yes. Okay. I'm about to just scoot up to the window. Okay. Go ahead. We're not far away from the jail. Okay. Okay. Final thoughts here. First and foremost, big shout out to Acron PD for remaining professional throughout the entire incident. What I will say is this. If you're a convicted felon, you should know that you cannot be around firearms, let alone even try to own one, right? Uh it's what we consider here in California prohibited possessor. On that note, if you want to hang out with your friend, go smoke some weed, or whatever it is that you want to do, you know what? the minute she tells you, "Hey, you know what? I have a gun here in the um uh in the middle counsel, you know what? Walk away because you don't want to put yourself in a really bad predicament." Okay? Hope you learned something. Okay, so Anna was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and failing to disclose a firearm to law enforcement. She also received two traffic citations, failure to stop at a stop sign and failure to signal a turn. The passenger, a convicted felon, faces charges of failure to disclose a concealed firearm and weapons under disability. As of now, there's no public information available on the final disposition of these charges. Okay, cases like this are still making their way through the Summit County courts.
