Three women, one traffic stop. One of them ends up with a 20-year sentence. That's not my bag, sir. Whose me is this? Can't breathe, sir? I'm sorry. A routine traffic stop takes a turn when officers smell marijuana. But what they discover next is only the beginning. Let's take a look. Oh, hey. You have a license on you, ma'am? No, I don't. You don't? Okay. You have to call registration or anything here? Um, all right. looking going to let you know the reason I'm stopping you. Laser lock between 91 and 70. Well, I'm on the way to the funeral home at the moment, sir. I didn't know how fast I was going. I have to be there to pick up my son's uh stuff for his Okay. Do you have any if you have any sheet of paper in there at all, I'll let you write your name and date of birth down. It's a rental, but I can write it. Okay. A rental agreement? Yes. Um well, let me see. I think I got a copy of Look for that. I'll be right back. Get a sheet paper for it. Hey, um the registration and stuff of the car, her rented it. Mhm. All right. Yeah, it should be okay. Okay. Um it's in the Anna Rodriguez's thing. Okay. She's not in the car. I'm going to go on the way to pick her up now. Okay. Cuz I'm on the way to my um son's Are you on the driver list for the rental agreement? Yes. You are? Yes. Okay. All right. Tell you what, print your name on here as neatly as possible. Your dad needs that. Okay, I'll check it that way. You have a Georgia's driver's license. Do I have a Georgia driver's license? Yes. Okay. Okay. I got to stop it right here. Normally, I let it ride a little bit, right? So, we can get a little bit more of the story, but push that BS button. Is it just me or we've done a couple of these incidents, right, videos where the rental agreement, [music] I mean, come on. It's always in the glove compartment or you know, the paperwork, right? You walk into the rental car office and you do all the paperwork, give your credit card, and they give you like a whole bunch of papers, right? Grab those papers and put them in the glove compartment or somewhere in the car. But for whatever reason, when we do these breakdowns, it's like they vanish. They're nowhere to be found. I mean, what's up? All right, Shields, if y'all go ahead and step out here, I need to talk to you about something real quick. Okay. Call y'all to step on out. Careful, careful, careful. Leave that in there. Y'all just come back here to front of his truck. Okay. Okay. So, I think it's fairly obvious that everybody car smells like marijuana. Okay. Yes, sir. When's the last time somebody smoked from there? Well, let me back up. The way I do things here, as long as I honest with me, it's not failing or anything like that. I'll just smoke. If I find something, I'll cut you ticket, let you go on down the road. Your dish honest with me, you'll go to jail. So, is there anything in the car still? Not driving, but I'm saying before we left bad weather. Is there anything still in the car? Just like some roaches, any roaches? Yeah, that's it. Yeah, that's roaches. Bowls, pipes, grinders, anything like that? Um, might be some wine stuff in there. Okay. All right. I'm going be honest. I got instant I got you guys in too. Okay. That's all I want is like y'all lie to me. I'll hook you up in jail. But I'd rather not have to do all that paperwork. Y'all just be honest. Yeah, it's just you got a couple grams. That's all. Yeah, I got a few grand. That ain't no big deal. Like I said, I'll write your ticket for that's it. As long as all it is. Okay. All right. Love PC search for PC search. The shaking seat. You want to watch? I'll search. Or you want to search? I watch. I'll search. A lot of cigarettes. Yep. She says it's from Georgia, but I'm assuming she's going north to sell those, which is highly illegal. They don't sell them in other states. Um, has more than a couple grams, but it's not an ounce. Um, they do, but the taxes are outrageous up north. Oh, yeah. So, you can make a killing to buy them down here and then take them up north and resell them. What y'all doing now in Atlanta? Um, my son passed away. I'm sorry to hear that. Get his death certificate and things. Okay. [snorts] And I just borrow my friend's car to meet her up the road from the funeral home so I can get my stuff. That's it. Now y'all all know each other. That's my That's Where y'all from? I know where you're from. Mhm. Okay. We might be around an ounce. Think that's getting close to an ounce? Oh god. This one. Now the one girl got rid of take her purse. Want to take it out of the car back there too. So, I'm curious about that. She got out with the birds. She started to Why y'all Let me ask y'all something. I'm assuming he pulled over for speeding. Me. Okay. Or you speeding before um they leave for lunch. I know, but just listen. If you know what's in that car while y'all speed, I'm just trying to get to my son's saying. Um, that's what I was. I'm just I just told the truth. I have something in there. I'm not I'm not about You have anything in there, man? I just God, can I get my phone, please? Where's it at? I'll grab It's in my front seat on the charge. Can I please get it? Y. Okay, before we go and get the SY, I was just thinking about this theory where if you're going to be a smooth criminal and you're going to have drugs in your car, all that good stuff, just follow the law, right? I mean, don't go 91 and a 70. I don't know. Go 70 75. I'm thinking over 10 miles an hour is not that bad, right? Because no cop's going to pull you over for just speeding over 10 miles an hour. At least I didn't do that back in my days. And I didn't like speeding tickets or anything. Nothing like that. I wasn't into traffic enforcement, if you will. But like I said before, you never know what you're going to get out of a traffic stop. Let me get that phone up there on the charger. This one? Yes, please. Can I call Please, please. I just not. Say again. These people going to close. Where's it at? I'm going to put some baby stuff for y'all. Where? What's it called? Miss it. Miss it. Miss Applebee said she had some marijuana. Save a couple browns. Me and my son way to Atlanta. My other son. My god. I going to miss this funeral. I'm going to miss my stuff. Whose damn roach is that? It didn't just fall out your shoes. No, I swear it probably fell out. Yeah, a little bit more than a couple grams. Let me stop right here. If you're wondering what a roach is, right? Roaches when you smoke a joint, it's like the last bit of it. Roach was in her shoe there. That roach fell out though. So, I'm out of the car. I don't I I don't know. I'm going be honest with you. It was somebody gave it to me. I don't know how much it was. I can't even I ain't even going to lie to you. So that's why I told you I ain't It looks like a question an ounce. Lord have mercy. Please. Nobody just gave somebody this much with you. I understand, but I really don't know how much. A friend just gave it. I swear to God just gave it to us. I'm not even going to lie. So we got to the funeral. I'm about to go to I thought y'all were going to be honest, but you're saying somebody gave y'all over. No, I'm telling you. Three quarters out. No, they didn't get me. They gave they That's what you found in my bag is mine. So, I'm just going to be honest with you. That That's mine. Well, I'm not going to tell you no lie that that was center console. What is that? Oh my god. What the hell? Will, please. I don't know what that is. Nobody's coming on out here. If they show up here, I'm going to take them to jail. Strokes my crap. Okay. Don't come out here. My baby. What is going on? What is that? Whose meth is this? I don't I don't in my I didn't have no nothing that told you that's not push the BS button. It's not me. Hang on. Let's window back up. Quit messing with my stuff now. Okay, let's go ahead and wrap this up. Final thoughts. Like always, first and foremost, big shout out to Jefferson PD Sarge. Great job, man. Helping out the uh your boys, right, with this entire investigation where we uh smelled the odor of marijuana, conducted a search, and next thing you know, voila, we have distribution, you know, marijuana. The biggest lesson of them all is this. Look, definitely biggest takeaway is severe legal consequences that can arise from just a routine traffic stop. Okay, under these circumstances, it's sad because she, you know, she's got to go to a funeral of her son and all that stuff. Yes, we're definitely empathetic to that, but you have to make better decisions. You really, really do. Okay? If you have a lot of stuff going on, like, you know, this uh road trip to go to your son's funeral, don't drive over the speed limit. Don't have any drugs, okay? And please, please get the necessary treatment you need and just deal with uh with the accountability that you're facing. Okay? Hope you learned something. Be safe out there. Up next, I'm looking at an armed suspect turning his neighborhood into a war zone. I can hear him reloading or something. He's down and shot. Don't move. A bomb. But that's over on my second channel where I'll be covering some of the most critical incidents in policing history. Out of the three women in the vehicle, only the driver was ultimately charged. She faced several charges including speeding, providing a false name to law enforcement, obstruction of an officer, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, and drug trafficking. However, two of those charges were later dropped, the speeding charge and the charge for possession of more than 1 ounce of marijuana. She was ultimately sentenced to 20 years in total with the first 5 years to be served in state prison followed by 15 years on probation. And there was another significant consequence. She [snorts] was ordered to pay a $50,000 fine. Okay, let's go ahead and click that like button, that notification bell, right? Don't forget to subscribe.
