Maybe I did. I thought of many scenarios of which none of them I'm going to do. >> Did you see me order a fat suit? Did you, you know, I'm not going to do any of that. >> You didn't order a fat suit because you had a change of plans. You realized that wasn't a good idea because there'd be two separate crying out loud. I >> On September 6th, 2019 in Kalama, Washington, Dawn Renee Rolf was brought in for questioning in connection with a plot to kill her aranged husband, Richard Rolf. his mother, Penelopey Newberg Rolf, and his girlfriend, Stacy Peabody. Spoiler details are in the video description, and the full results of all charges in the case are laid out at the end of the video. >> So, it sounds like the the other that that Groy here already told you what's what's going on. >> I can't believe it. I was talking [ __ ] dude. >> You're talking [ __ ] >> Yeah. I mean, I remember me and Brenda would go out and get drunk and stuff and just talking [ __ ] and and then the other day, um, she says, "Oh, you know, Cara has a gun." And, um, I was, I'm so broke. I was just going to take it to North Portland and sell it. I know that's illegal, too, but that's all I was going to do. >> You're going to take it to North Portland, sell it? >> Try to. >> How much do you think you get for that gun? >> I have no idea. All I know is that I'm flat broke and >> Okay. So, you're just trying to get some money out of that gun. >> Okay. >> Yeah. I honestly I >> Are you convicted felon? >> I No, I don't think so. >> No, I know I have some assaults and stuff, but they're pretty far back. >> Um, you know, like domestic violence and stuff. >> Ever been arrested for for felony looting? >> Oh, yeah. Years and years ago when I was like 21. >> Is that a felony? >> I don't know. I but I did get in the looting, you know. I was like 21. That was like 30, 40 years ago. Well, no, I'm not that old, but >> Okay. >> Yeah. No, we were just out in the bar. We were talking [ __ ] you know? I mean, people talk [ __ ] And uh could never hurt anyone. I've never even had a gun. I don't even know how to use a gun. I wouldn't even know how to load a gun. >> Okay. So, what I normally do when I interview people is I'm normally asking them, you know, did you do this and did you do that and did you do this? Um, >> I'm not going to be doing so much of that here because because I know what you did and just let me speak for a couple minutes and I'll give you a chance to respond. Okay? >> I'm not going to be asking you did you do it because I I know what you did and here's how I know what you did. Your husband has expressed concern for his his safety and the safety of his girlfriend and we've been I've been watching you because of that. Not only have I been watching you, but I've been secretly recording you without your knowledge through a court order. Okay? So, I know the conversations that you've had, whether it be the Columbia in I've been monitoring that place. That place has been bugged, >> right? >> I've even bugged the I told you I told you, let me finish. >> I've bugged the Columbia strip. >> Do you know where that place is at? You should because you were there on Monday. >> Okay. I've had that place bugged. I've had your phone bugged. I've been listening to your phone calls. I've been listening to you at the talk at the Columbia Inn. I've listened to you talk at the Columbia Strip. >> Okay. >> And even from work, I've listened to your phone calls. >> Okay. If certain Does it sound like an invasion of privacy? Sure. But it's been through a court order. And I have good reason to get that court order because of the the safety concerns that your husband and his girlfriend have. >> Not just your husband and his girlfriend, but also Penelope. >> And I don't know why because I don't even talk to those people. >> Okay. Again, I'm laying all this out for you and that to make it very clear to you that I know all this stuff. I know all the stuff that was going on. Okay? And so, I'm not here asking you, Don, were you planning on killing your husband? Don, I've already got a lot of record of that. Okay? I'm here to ask you why why you intended to kill your husband. >> I am not going to kill my husband. I >> You said you're going to kill >> I was hurt. I know. Well, people say things doesn't mean they do them or are going to do them. You You said you were going to kill your husband. You said you were going to kill Penelopey. Penny Mansor. >> You said And you said you were going to kill uh Stacy. >> I'm not going to kill anybody. There's other people I've been angry with that I'm like, "Oh, yeah. I'm going to kill them. Have I killed anybody?" No. You know, I'm not It's just talking [ __ ] I'm not You know, it's not like I went up there and tried to kill them or anything like that. >> Talking [ __ ] Okay. Maybe you were just talking [ __ ] You acknowledge that you did >> say you're going to kill Pig Body, as you call her. >> Yes, >> you did acknowledge that you're going to kill um Richard. >> Just talk. >> Did you say it? >> I did, but that was just talk. >> Did Did you say that you're going to kill Penny? >> Yeah, but I'm not. >> Did you say that you And I know you backed off this stance, but did you say that even Billy that if he was a casualty? >> Oh, God. Yeah. Well, yeah, but I was drunk. Do you know how drunk I was? >> You've done a lot of this stuff sober. >> I know, but it's just >> You didn't You didn't get off I've been following you a long time, so I know what's been going on. Okay. I know your work schedule. I know you work go to work at 7 o'clock, you get up at 4 p.m., right? >> And sometimes odd days you have like today where you go to work at uh 10:45, get off at 7:45. I've been I've been watching you like a hawk. >> It's just talk. >> Okay. So I So you you can say >> it's just talk. It's just venting. It's just talk. I'm not I wasn't going to do it. I wasn't planning on do it. I just needed money to pay my bills and to get caught up and that's all I was going to do. When when Brenda brought that up, I it wasn't my idea. I didn't ask anybody for a gun or anything. >> I've been monitoring Brenda's conversations, too. So, you you can't tell me things that are recorded. Okay? You can't tell me things that are recorded didn't happen. For example, if you and if you and um uh Brenda if you and Brenda had a phone a conversation in which she talked about getting a uh >> getting her her ability to get a firearm legally because you can't because you you don't think you can because you're [clears throat] a convicted felon. And did you even try calling Clark and in in Halis County clerks anywhere to find out if you could? No, because I didn't want a gun. If I thought I could have got a gun, I would have went and bought one. And the only reason why I got that one is because she is the one who brought it up and I just thought about go taking it to the Columbia strip or whatever cuz I and see if I could sell it cuz I needed money. That was it. And I know and I know that's illegal, but all I wanted was, you know, when she brought it up. Otherwise, I would have been like, "No, I you know, no." >> Like I said, I had the Columbia strip by as well. So, what were you doing down there? You weren't down there. >> I just went down there cuz I was bored. >> Mhm. And I used to go to Portland and so I just wanted to go out. I haven't been out in a while. And I was driving past there and thought, "Oh, well, I've went past there before or, you know, been there before." >> You realize you've had a lot of sober conversations in which you >> I have. in which you have talked about getting a gun or hire. You you've been going back and forth between getting a gun and hiring somebody to do this job. >> I'm like, I have money to do that. How am I going to hire anybody? >> How are you going to hire somebody? I'll tell you because you said it on a recorded line. Well, >> you you you said you would give them $200 in cash and you would also you'd also talk about >> $200 in cash. I don't even have $200. >> You probably don't right now. That doesn't surprise me. But did did you not talk about Penelopey having $6 to $10,000 in rings on her hands in a >> That's just drunk talk. It's just talk. Yeah. So I said it. So that doesn't mean I was going to do it. >> Is picking up a a firearm that you believe that you know the serial number is shaved off. So therefore you knew it was stolen. >> That didn't matter. I was going to sell it. >> Is picking that up also just drunk talk? >> No. But the when the conversation started and then all I thought was I'm gonna sell it for money because I need money. >> Okay. The conversation >> and so flat broke. >> I've been listening to Brenda too. >> Mhm. >> I know. >> I know she's in on this. I've been listening to her as well and I know that this conversation didn't just happen today. There's been talks for for some time about >> Yeah, there has. Most of it was No, about the gun. Yeah, but that was just again getting drunk talk. It wasn't until she's like, "Oh, you know, oh, I have one." And I'm like, "Okay, well, I'm gonna sell it." But it >> for me it was just fun to talk to somebody and vent my you know like oh you know >> I wish I could but I wasn't going to cuz I know I can't get away with it. >> Right. You >> wow. Why would I be so stupid to do anything like that? >> You said that right on recorded line that you um wouldn't do it. Well, not on recorded line, but it's recorded. You say you wouldn't do it yourself because you feared you would get caught. Therefore, you thought you had to hire somebody to do. >> Oh my god, I can't hire anybody. I don't have money to hire anybody. >> I can't. That's why you thought you'd be able to do it by by promises of rings on Penny's fingers as well. >> And that's if you just have you ever fantasized about something, fantasizing and talking about something and >> I've never fantased about a triple homicide. >> Oh, well, I I'm not going to do a triple homicide. That's ridiculous. I could never get away with it. I I yeah, I've thought about scenarios because I'm, you know, that's just the way I think, but it doesn't mean I was going to freaking do it. >> You You've done more than thought about scenarios. You've taken steps to do this. The first step is trying to formulate a plan. Try to find somebody down in my head. Listen, try to find somebody down in Portland at the Portland Strip. Try to look around. You can't find anybody. Oh, if plans A, B, and C fail, you always got this fall back that you can go to. uh you have this, you know, potential now for this stolen firearm that maybe um push come to shove, maybe you can do it yourself or find somebody else use that firearm. >> Oh, I that's just [ __ ] talking. I didn't go up there. I didn't I didn't talk to anybody at the Columbia strip about [ __ ] like that. I just It wasn't even that. It was I just wanted to go out and do whatever. And the Colombians boring. Brenda wasn't there to go out with and then and then it got to like with me and Brenda where it was just kind of a funny little like game thing and then is it drunk [ __ ] talk if you're um watching Pig Buddy as you call her drive to work in Vancouver if you're trying to fall. >> I didn't watch her drive to work. >> You didn't cuz you lost her. You tried. >> Is it just drunk talk? Let me finish. Is it just drunk talk? If you're at the bottom of if you're watching uh Richard's house and Penny's house from the driveway and you see that the um fifth wheel has moved from its previous location to buy the house and now the the tilt outs are now pushed in. Is that just drunken? >> I didn't pay any attention. No, I was I >> was drinking and I >> You were up there. You weren't just drinking and [ __ ] talking. You were up there. >> Well, yeah, I know. I drove past there, but that was it. Why am I That is not a place you drive past. That is out in the country. >> Well, no, no. I get that, but I'm still, you know, I'm [clears throat] still a little hung up on my husband, but Oh, well. >> You are. You're hung up on killing them. >> No, I'm not. >> You You said it numerous times. >> I know I said it numerous times, but I >> You took a big step. You took a big step tonight and getting a firearm. >> I realize that now, but that's not what I wanted it for. I wanted to sell it. I I needed to sell it. I I am $300 $400 behind in my checking account. I was just trying to sell it to get money. >> I knew I knew when you got caught you were going to say it was drunken [ __ ] talk. You know how I knew you were going to say that? >> Because I drank a lot. >> Okay. No, because you already said that. That's what you're going to do if you got caught. That's also recorded. >> I did not say that. >> Was recorded? >> Well, I don't remember saying it cuz I was drunk. >> Okay. Well, you said if the if the police contact you you even mentioned, you know, suicide being offers yourself. You talked about offing yourself if the police contacted you and you also said that you would just excuse it. >> And I'm not going to do that neither. >> You said it was you would excuse it as just drunken talk. I I heard >> it is drunken talk. >> Well, it's not when you're going it's not when you're up there watching them leave for work and you're up there watching the house and and noticing things like the trailer's moved when when you're talking you know you're planning this is a pretty sophisticated plan to say that I'm going to put a a a piece of wood debris across. Let me finish. I'm going to I'm going to put a piece of wood debris across the bottom of the driveway. And that way when uh Pigody uh has to stop and get out and move that move that piece of log, >> someone can jump out of the woods and shoot her, >> but I'm not going to do it. I can fantasize about that. I can think about it, but and and I can talk about it, but it doesn't mean I'm going to do it. >> You wouldn't be arrested if it was just a thought. You would not be in arrest. Oh, well, I I just don't understand because it is just >> I don't understand how you >> I wasn't planning anything. I wasn't planning to do anything. Yeah, I'm I'm angry. I'm hurt, but I I'm getting over it, you know, and it was just more like a game. It wasn't I'm not I wasn't I'm not going to ruin my life, what I have left of it for those people. And yeah, I'm not going to lie. I thought about it. I I mean I didn't think about actually doing it, but I fantasized it in my head. And you know, who doesn't sometimes? >> You hoped you could get this job before their their trip to Vegas. How'd you know they had a Vegas trip on July 25th? I mean, I'm sorry, October 25th. How'd you know that? >> I can't remember. Um, >> you keep an eye on our Keep an eye on their Facebook pages. You keep an eye on our Facebook pages >> sometimes. Yeah. >> Doesn't mean I was going to do it. >> I didn't go up there with a gun. I didn't >> You're trying to follow follow Penny. I'm sorry. Trying to follow a um pig body as you call her to her workplace in Vancouver. Is that >> Is that just drunken talk or what is that? >> No, I don't know. >> You did it. >> I know, but I don't know why. It was just stupid. because I was gonna go up and try to talk to Richard after she left for work. And then so it was like, no, I'm just gonna go home and I missed my exit cuz it's traffic. So I turned around and went home. >> Okay. You've you've talked about getting this done numerous times and you really hope to get this done before October 25th. You didn't >> Oh my gosh, that is just talk. >> Okay. It's not just talk when you're going down and Let me say when you're follow when you're following her to her workplace in Vancouver when you're following her work when you're at the the in their driveway and noticing things that have changed in the house. This is within the last week you're up there. You're up there within the last week noticing a situ moved. It just got moved like a Saturday or Sunday or something like that. You're you're up there recently and this is not you work in Walmart in Long View and you live in Calama. this place where your husband lives with with his uh mother. >> No, I realized that I just wanted to go talk to him and and you know and like no no because >> well I owe Penny money for like utilities and so I was going to go up there as soon as I had the money so I could pay her and and talk to him and and then you know >> I believe you a fantasy but I believe it was a fantasy that you intended to carry out. I am not I could not I do not have the capacity to do that. I love my grandchildren to death. I don't want to be away from my grandchildren, my daughter, my son-in-law or you know Zach. I'm not going to do that to them. >> I know you didn't want to leave your grand grandchildren because when when um when Brenda tried to talk you out of this numerous times and she one of the ways that she tried to talk you out of this numerous times was to encourage you to just hey the best revenge is just to move away. If you move if you move away and live a good life, that's going to be the best revenge for Richard. You wanted no part of that. >> You wanted no part of that. >> That was just talk. >> Okay. >> That was just talk. And then she kind of got into it, you know, and and uh so it was just kind of exciting, something to talk about. Not like it was going to happen. >> I would I would trust if it was it was just talk. If you didn't go through all these steps, if you weren't stalking them, you're up at the house. You're following her to work. You're trying to >> I was up at the house once. >> You're talking about You're talking about your sophisticated plan of like I said putting a putting a log or or some type of wood product in front of the driveway. >> Well, >> and then after that was done, after you rolled pig body down the embankment as you as you put it, then then you're going to go up to the house. >> Then you're going to go up to the house and and uh talk to Penny, you know, >> and tell Penn and offer offer Let me finish what your plan was. offer for Penny to to uh you owe her money for electric bill >> and I'm going to be the first person you come after. Why would I do that? That's stupid. >> You knew that. You said that in advance that the first person you're going to come talk to. You also thought we'd going to come talk to Brenda because you told Bren, ask Brenda if she'd be able to handle the police coming to talk to her because you thought that we would just because you guys are are friends. And uh >> and it's all talk and my stupid [ __ ] dumb talk has got me in trouble. >> Your dumb talk has not got you in trouble. >> Yeah, it has. And yeah, you know, I like I said, I am still kind of hung up on him and I did want to talk to him and so yeah, I did go up there um and and that was it. And I plan on going up there and talking to him. So, I just wanted to I I know he won't talk to me if she's there. And so, that's I just wanted to see when there would be a time I could go talk to him. I I I honestly This is so stupid. Oh my god. Just from talking, just from >> I tried to look at this objectively. I tried to look at this as may perhaps drunk drug drunk talk. And when I talked to people, um, nobody that the people I talked to, nobody thought this was drunk talk. Number one. Number two, you you took steps that are beyond drunk talk. You took steps. You talked about this sober. And I know you say that was fancy. >> Oh, yeah. >> You talked about the sober. You talked about this um multiple times >> and you even took steps. Like I said, you're you're watching the house. You're watching the patterns. You know what time You know what time, for example, Richard takes Mike to work? >> Well, he lives with me. Of course, I know that. >> You know what time Richard takes Mike to work? You know what time Billy goes to work? You know what time is the most opportune time where just your three targets are going to be there? >> I'm not going to do it. >> Yeah, I know that. So, I No, I I >> was pretty clear. Do you know how many crime shows I watch that I just, you know, think, you know, it's just stupid. It's Yeah, it's like it I'm angry. I was angry. So, yeah, you know, I might I was never going to do it. And that's not why I got that from Brenda. I was wanting to sell it. I was hoping I would to get maybe four or 500 bucks for it. >> That's not what the plan was in any of your recorded conversations. >> No, it wasn't. But I didn't tell Brenda that. >> That was only your plan after you got the handcuffs put on. >> That's not true. You don't know my plan. Just because I didn't talk about my plan. >> You don't know what my my my plan was just because I talk about stuff. >> I knew exactly what your plan was for the air fryer. That was to use it on your husband. >> No, it wasn't. My god. I couldn't kill him. I couldn't kill anybody. the other one. >> You you you said you said I would love for my face to be the last face he sees. >> That's true. >> That is true. >> But not like that. >> Like not like that. Like you go up there and he just randomly has a heart attack or what do you mean? >> No, I just Well, hoping that they'll split up. So, you know, but >> So when you say >> No, I don't know. So when you say you wanted his your face to be the last face he sees, you you miss >> just because he won't look at me. >> Okay. >> You know, and I I don't know that was my intent was to go sell that. And I know I talked a lot of [ __ ] and and I shouldn't have. Did you know the the gun that you picked up out of the from underneath Brenda's seat? Did you know that was a stolen gun? >> No, I thought it might have been seat. Yes, >> you should have. You talked about the >> Yeah, and that's why I thought I could sell it. So, and I know that that's illegal, >> too. Water. >> Sure. Let me bring you some. >> All right. Thank you. >> I also have soda if it's preference. >> Uh, water. Water. Thank you. >> You don't mean any of this and it's just drunk talk. Why is it so important that you know discuss this thing with you via text message? It's all just >> I don't I don't know. I guess I just got caught up in the stupid Thelma and Louise thing with her and and I had no intention of finding a gun or looking for a gun or trying to buy a gun and and then she's the one who popped off with that and I just thought, well, come and take it in and sell it, you know, cuz I need the money and that's it. I could never do anything like that. I don't There's no There's no freaking way. >> Maybe I missed it. Why did you go to the uh Columbia strip in Portland? >> Just to go do something to have fun. >> Okay. Normally when you go to do something to have fun, you usually go to You never go there before. >> I used to when I worked in Portland >> many years ago when you worked in the bad area north >> and that's why I wanted you know I just >> But you haven't been going to that place many many years. >> No. And actually what I did was I went someplace else first and then I was driving home and I seen it and I thought, "Oh, hey, I used to stop in there before and then so I stopped in there." >> I'll tell you why you stopped in there. Cuz you said it. You said it on a on a recording while you went down there. You went down there to try and find somebody to do this job for you. >> Oh god. >> You said it and then you actually went down there. >> I said it, but I lied. >> It's not like you said it and didn't go down there. You said it and went down there. >> Oh, I can go wherever I want. You certainly can. >> And just cuz I said it, I didn't talk to anybody about that down there. I didn't ask anybody. I didn't try to get anybody. I >> I just went down there. I had a good time. >> If if you said you would need to go to Northeast Portland into the bad area where you used to work and try to find somebody to to do this job for you and then you then you didn't actually go down there. That'd be one thing. Then you followed it up and immediately went down there. It's because I had it in my mind to go down there and have fun. I go to the Colombia in all the time. It's the same old people. It's boring as [ __ ] >> Okay. >> You know, I didn't approach anybody for anything like that. >> We have your phone. I saw it's not passcode protected, which is good for us. It makes it easier to get into. If I if I do a I'll apply for a search warrant on that phone. Mhm. >> And when I apply for a search warrant on that phone, if one is granted, I'll be able to see all your location information. >> Okay. >> I'll be able to um you know, see your internet history, what kind of searches you've been doing. Have you been Has your fantasy included a bunch of internet searches regarding >> any kind of murder stuff? >> No. >> No. >> You sure? >> I don't think so. >> You would know if you've researched that or not? >> I Yeah. I have it. You show me. If you're going to If you did, you better excuse it now and not say, "Wait a minute. She said she didn't and she did." Can you Can you think of any alternate reason why you'd be looking up stuff about murder? >> No. >> Okay. Did you have a plan to It was your first plan to um murder Pig Body to to follow her to work and dress up in a fat suit. Pop out and shoot her in a fat suit. Then you realize, wait, that might be not be a good idea because there' be two separate shootings. >> Huh? >> No, >> you didn't say that. >> Well, I maybe I did. I thought of many scenarios of which none of them I'm going to do. >> Did you see me order a fat suit? Did you, you know, no, I'm not going to do any of that. >> You didn't order a fat suit because you had a change of plans. You realized that wasn't a good idea because there'd be two separate shootings. >> Crying out loud. I Yes. I thought of many, many ways to kill them because I was angry, but that doesn't mean I was going to do any of them. >> Well, you took a pretty big step in obtaining a firearm. Oh, well that Yeah, but that's not why I did it because I did it because I was going to sell it. >> Well, how come you didn't relate any of that to Brenda? >> Because we were just being stupid with the Selma and Louise thing and then I thought she was into it and we were just >> If you're comfortable enough to talk to Brenda about a triple homicide that you intend to orchestrate, I would think you're comfortable enough to talk to her about your intent to take this firearm that she has it stolen. And you know it's stolen because I didn't even think about it until until like uh earlier today when she said she had it or whatever and I'm like, "Oh, well, cuz I was actually going to head to Portland right after I left her to try to sell the damn thing." >> When she tried to talk you out of doing this triple homicide, which she tried numerous times. When she tried to talk you out of this, did you ever say, "This is all just a joke. This is all just fantasy." Did you ever say that? >> No. How could we? I don't know. I don't I have no idea. Did you ever say today in your conversation with her? And bear in mind in mind I had her house bugged. Did you? >> No, I almost did though. I almost told her no, I don't want it and I should have. >> Did Did she have Did she try to talk you out of it again today when you went into her house? >> No. >> Okay. Did she talk to you about if this thing is used in a murder, you better not say my name? >> Yeah, but I wasn't planning on it. It's >> Did you tell her you weren't planning on it? No, >> that's in my head. >> You have made no You have made no indication at all to me whatsoever that this thing was anything less than completely real. [sighs] >> You have taken so many steps that someone who was just having >> so many steps. One step. >> So many steps. No, not one step. >> One step. >> One major step which is a fire. >> I'm getting that from Brenda. But other than that, no, I really haven't. I >> you say one step one major step which is get missile and firearm but but I would say >> going down to Portland to the Columbia strip to try and find somebody is quite a step to go try to find anybody. >> I would say sitting on their property trying to study their patterns when they >> I'm not studying their patterns. I just wanted to go up and talk to Rich >> and and follow Stacy to work. No, I wanted to see what time she left so I could go talk to Rich. I was going to go up there the next day, but I had to work and by the time I got off work, >> she would be there. So, if you just wanted to wait for her to go so you could talk this week, >> then there' be a reason to follow her. There'd be no reason to follow her out. >> I didn't follow her. I was going home and I got cut off in the middle lane and I couldn't get back over to the Calama exit. So, I went >> down to Todd Road and I drove home. >> But you lost her. >> No, I didn't lose her. >> I wasn't following her down the freeway. I was going home. I got cut off in traffic and I missed my exit. >> Okay. She left her house where she lives with Rich. >> Mhm. >> And she went and you happened to be in that area and she happened to get on I5 and start heading south. You happen to get on I5 and start heading south. >> That's the way I live. But there was no following. >> No, I I got stuck in the middle lane. I couldn't get over to the Kama exit and so I had to go to Todd Road and turn around and go home. >> Well, how can you say and again it's recorded that you tried following her but you lost her. >> Stupid talk. >> Stupid talk. A lot of it. >> Yeah, a lot of stupid talk. You're right. >> A lot of stupid acts, too. >> I know. I know. >> And I didn't realize the extent of it just, you know, I mean, I really I didn't >> I knew the gun was a stupid idea, but like I said, I was just going to >> sell it to get the money. >> Listen. >> Okay. With all the conversations I have recorded, >> what happened here? What's happened here is crystal clear. Okay. I know Richard. I know he has been married for 25 years. I know he he left you high and dry. He's up there w with his mom living on 20 something acres, you know, probably in the house now. He's got the nice fifth wheel. He's got his girlfriend and he just left you high and dry after 25 years of marriage. >> Yeah, that's doesn't mean I'm going to kill him. >> I'm not sitting here defending him. >> I'm fine with my family now. I'm fine with my grandkids and my daughter and my son-in-law. I like it there. I thank him for leaving me because at least I get to spend time with my grandkids. I wouldn't get to see my grandkids if I was up there with him. >> That has not been your sentiments at all. >> That has not been my sentiments, but that's just talking to Brenda and being a dumbass. >> Okay. >> It was just like a game. It was it was a stupid game, but you know, and then she played along with it. And so it was just like a gooseball thing and the gun was stupid. I should have never and I knew and I knew I shouldn't take it because I probably couldn't sell it anyway. >> You shouldn't take it because you can't possess firearms. It's illegal because you're a convicted felon. You shouldn't take it because you knew it was stolen. >> I know that. I know that. I was just going to try to sell it to check it because that's you're you're taking a substantial step towards committing a triple homicide. >> I am not going to commit a triple homicide. >> Not not now. >> Oh, no. Not ever. >> Unfortunately, we avoided that. >> Do you think uh do you think if I talk to Rich, do you think he's going to and he knows all of this, do you think he's going to think, "Oh, that's just that's just fancy. Don does that." Is he going to be like that or does he >> I have no idea what he's going to think. He's changed so much. I don't know the person he is anymore. >> Do you think Stacy's going to think, "Oh, that's just that's just how she is." >> Oh, she don't know. >> Okay, I'll leave her out of it. How about Penny? Do you think she's going to be like, "Oh, Don just gets that's just how she is." >> I don't know. I honestly I don't know. >> Well, I'll fill you in. How about Billy? I miss Billy. Do you think Billy thinks his mom just gets drunk and she talks all kinds of trash? >> I have no idea. >> Okay, well, I'll fill you in. Thanks. They all were very fearful of you carrying out these threats that you're making, these fantasies that all very fearful. >> Well, that breaks my heart. It breaks your heart. Know me better. >> It breaks your heart. How do you think Billy feels when he thinks his own mom is willing to take him out? >> That was just stupid talk. I would not take out my son. Okay. >> There's no [ __ ] way. >> Yeah. When I told Billy about this, he he was going like this. I'm sure he thought it was drunk mom talk. >> Oh my god. Wow. >> Wow. Is exactly right. >> How come? I can't believe my stupid dumbass mouth got me in so much trouble. >> It wasn't your mouth. >> I still love my husband. Even after all the [ __ ] I still love him. So that's I would never hurt him. I would never hurt any of them. Penny, when my mom passed away, was just like my mom. And yeah, it hurt and I was angry >> and I talked and did some stupid [ __ ] but I wasn't. >> Since Since you bring up Penny, it raises a good question. I know why at one point in time with with Billy, I understand with Billy that you what why your feelings were the way they were is because he was completely disloyal. He took dad's side when you guys went through the separation. >> I understand why you had some ill feelings towards Billy. >> What's what's what's the history with Penny? Why do you fantasize about her death? >> I don't. Absolutely. You talked about it. >> It's just stupid. It's just stupid talk. >> Was Was it Was it because she's the only form of payment that you could provide to a hitman? >> No. >> That's what you said. He talked about the the $10,000. >> I talked about I talked about a lot of things and they were all stupid and none of them were going to happen. You don't see me bringing hitman up there, do you? You don't see me up there with a gun. >> We're a month away from that happening. >> No. No, you're not. No, you weren't. Well, I mean, so I don't know what if told you what all your charges are, but the felony harassment, you know, that's when you make threats to kill somebody and the person that is being threatened has a reasonable belief that those threats were be carried out. I didn't. You want to know you want to know about your charges, I'm sure. Oh, yes, please. So, so yeah, if you threaten somebody to to kill them and that person has a reasonable belief that those threats will be carried out, that's what felony harassment is. So, we have recordings of you making threats towards to kill um Penny, Richard, and Stacy. >> So, um I threatened them and then they all three have a reasonable belief that you could carry out that threat. So, there's there's your felony harassment. Um it's not lawful for you to possess a firearm because um you're a convicted felon >> from your eluding from 1990 >> so you have the unlawful possession of a firearm and then you have the attempted murder. >> Oh my god. >> So how do you get to attempted murder is you have to take a substantial step towards committing them. >> [ __ ] >> And today when you picked up that firearm you took a substantial step. You know why? I was just going to sell it. >> Yeah. You had talked about a plan to get a firearm, obtain a firearm to kill these people, [clears throat] and then when you finally got one, and then when you finally got one, it was it was suddenly to change it was suddenly to sell it. >> It was stupid. I It's not like I asked anybody for one. It's not like I It just kind of came about and that's I'm going to sell it. I'm going to get money. I'm going to take it down and I'm going to sell it. I'm not going to use it. I don't know how to use a gun. I'd probably kill myself with the stupid thing first. I've never handled a gun. I've never owned a gun. I was actually pretty scared of it. So scared of the gun of a gun that you were researching to find out if it was legal for you to to uh legally purchase a firearm. Are you that scared of them? You you were doing you're researching to find out if it was legal for you to possess a firearm to purchase a firearm >> when >> you didn't check to see if it was legal for you to to uh purchase a firearm. >> Did you at one point in time have a discussion with Brenda about possibly her purchasing a firearm? Because she brought that up. >> I didn't I didn't ask the question yet. Did at any point in time did you and Brenda have a conversation where [clears throat] you talked about her purchasing a firearm because it's legal for her to do so and then having it stolen from her vehicle. >> Yeah. No, no, she brought it up. She's like, "Oh, I can purchase a firearm." I'm like, "No, I don't want, you know, no." You know, and again, drunk talk at the Colombia and goofing off, laughing, just stupid drunk talk. >> Were you drinking at work today? >> No. >> So, you went very over to get that firearm? >> Yeah. And then I was going to go to Portland and try to sell it. >> I don't believe you. I know you don't. >> I believe that you were intent on seeing Richard, Stacy, and Penny all dead. No, >> you backed off on Billy. I'll give you that. >> You You were willing to >> I mean, yeah, it wouldn't hurt my feelings, but I wasn't going to do it. >> You're willing to spare the life of your disloyal son. At least >> I know that was a terrible thing to say. I didn't mean that either. >> Probably the worst thing I've ever heard from my mother. >> Oh, dude. I was laughing. It was just stupid drunk talk. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Um, give me one second here and I'll I'll be back in just more water. Are you good? >> Uh, no. I'll take some more. >> I'll get some more. >> You're planning on getting that gun? I mean, the whole time the talk was to to murder these three people, but once you finally got the gun, it changed to uh to sale. Um, is there a reason to uh file off a barrel of a gun to before you sell it? To do that? >> No, it's just because it's like I said, I watch a lot of crime TV and >> you watch crime TV barrels before they sell them. >> I have no idea. It was just a stupid thing. I don't I don't know. I watch a lot of crime TV, so me and Brenda [clears throat] were kind of like >> film and Louise. And so >> you said you intended to sell the gun, right? >> Mhm. >> And did you also say that you intended to file the barrel of the gun? Do some filing on the barrel of a gun? It's recorded. >> I did, but I It was just again the >> Would there be any reason to file the barrel of a gun before you sold it? Oh, cuz like when Brenda was like, uh, oh, well, I can buy a gun and whatever, you know, and it's like, no, no, no. And the when we were, you know, bullshitting about the stealing it. And I just told her, you know, like if you take a thing, you know, you can't trace the bullets because that's what I've seen on like forensic piles and stuff like that. So, it was just stupid. I know a lot about it, you know, because I do watch a lot of crime TV and stuff, but you know, look, again, I was just talking about it. It wasn't like I I could never go through with that. >> You ever watch a crime show where a wife gets dumped after 25 year marriage and that that her her husband stands to inherit his mom's riches, her 23 acres, all of her jewelry, her her triple wide, and leaves his wife high and dry. And the wife to do a triple homicide. You ever see that episode? >> No. >> That's what just happened? >> Didn't. >> Okay. Well, at this point, we're under you're under arrest and um you're going to go to jail without bail um until until you see a judge. Okay.
