relationship. >> Hi, how you doing? What's going [music] on? [bell] >> I talk to you outside real quick. >> Yeah, sure. We'll talk about sir for sure. >> My name is officer Scarbor LCPD. What's What's going on today, sir? >> Uh trying to abbreviate as best as I can. Been in a relationship with this girl for 3 years. We had a child together on and off. Had issues. Um been trying to like work through ship and then get to another point where we're like arguing again. try to keep it too like not shouting and [ __ ] the disagreement like escalating like beyond to what it should be. >> You know, I've like asked her to be respectful and not [ __ ] take my child. She's done it multiple times in the past. >> You're referring to your my daughter. >> Okay. Your daughter. >> She's trying to take my daughter. I told her no. And that's where we're at. She called her [ __ ] mother. >> Obviously, you know her mother. She's the investigator for LCPD. >> Mhm. comes in barging in, screaming, [ __ ] saying all this [ __ ] It's like, "You're in my [ __ ] apartment." She's like, "Yeah, it's also her apartment." It's like, "Okay, fine. Sure." But she's not helping when she [ __ ] shows up and starts screaming at me in my [ __ ] apartment. I'm just saying like as an equal parent. No, I'm [ __ ] putting my foot down. I don't want my daughter near her. >> Right. I got you. >> I um >> And I I can understand they they want the [ __ ] same, but what makes them more [ __ ] bright of a [ __ ] >> And your your ex is the one sitting on the couch. Yeah. >> Okay. So, you guys both live here? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Where was she remind me that where was she trying to take her? >> To her parents. >> Okay. All right. And that's Is there anything like anything in writing stating that you can or or that she can or anything like that? >> No. >> There's no custody agreement in the courts or anything like that. Okay. Just solely just like, "Yeah, I don't want you to take my daughter away." >> Yeah. I'm just saying like I literally told her she can have her tomorrow, but she's like so [ __ ] adamant about taking her tonight. >> Yeah. >> She's done that [ __ ] multiple times. Everybody disagreement, you know. Exactly. In the silence, you know, like they're saying no. >> Yeah. >> You can have her tomorrow. You're not taking my [ __ ] daughter tonight. Like I haven't seen her all week cuz she just [ __ ] took my daughter last week. When I asked her to bring my daughter back, she [ __ ] refused. >> Yeah. True. Is are you in fear that like she's type of danger or anything like that if she goes over there? >> No, but she's going to say she's in fear of me because of the disagreements we've had. But I've never acted out like that with my daughter. I have All these women in my apartment screaming at me. [clears throat] >> Got you. >> How do you spell your last name, sir? >> Uh P. >> Did it get physical at any point in time today? >> No. >> No. No one like pushed you off. >> She tried to leave. I stood in front of the door. That's the extent I have. Never [ __ ] touched her. >> Got you. Um how how did that go? Did she tried to leave with the child? >> Yeah. And I just told her no. >> Okay. >> And she's this is entrapment. You're [ __ ] keeping me here. I'm like I'm not keeping you here. I'm keeping my daughter here. >> Got you. How long ago was that? Before I came here >> ago. Yeah. Okay. >> Just recently. >> Was that when her mom showed up? >> Yeah. She called her mother. Her mother came in barging in and [ __ ] screaming at me. >> Okay. Got you. And that was So what I'm asking was was mom in there um when she tried to leave and you were like, "No." Or after >> No, that's when she called her mother. >> Okay. That's what she called her. >> No, no, you're good. You're good. You're good. Um All right. Listen, this is literally all that I'm trying to say. It's like I just want my [ __ ] daughter. I just want her to [ __ ] leave. >> She can have her tomorrow. >> Yeah, >> I'm [ __ ] okay coexisting and [ __ ] co-aring or whatever the [ __ ] she wants to do. >> I just I don't appreciate that she [ __ ] calls her mother. They come in here [ __ ] shouting at me, calling me a piece of [ __ ] It's like in my [ __ ] apartment. Get the [ __ ] out. >> I got you. I got you. And the reason why I had to ask, it probably seems kind of weird, but the reason why I have to ask if um if there's any type of like court order before the >> Yeah. No, we just haven't got to that point. >> Got you. And it seems like that may be necessary if that's the case because right now, even if even if the roles were switched and you had the kid and you're trying to dip with her and then she was like, "No, this that." >> No, I understand. >> You know what I mean? I can't take the kid away from her to give it to you or vice versa. You know what I mean? It goes both ways, especially if there's like no type of agreement. And even if there was some type of agreement in place, we still couldn't do that unless there is like a sense of emergency to do so. You know what I mean? Meaning if there was any type of emergency, that's why I also asked if you feel like she's in any type of danger going over there. Um because that in that aspect, that's when we would have to get involved like, hey, let's see what we got to do. Um there separate party, so on and so forth like that. You know what I mean? >> Does that make sense? >> Yeah. >> Okay. So that's why I have to ask those questions. But um we we can't force whoever had I I got you. We can't force whoever has, you know, custom child in that aspect if there's no extra. >> Does that make sense? >> Not that you [ __ ] let him go. >> I I'll talk to me in a second while they're on the way over there. I'll just talk to him. See what's going on. Um, you have any questions on that so far? >> No. >> Okay. >> Who do we need to talk to, dude? >> Um, if you just talk to mom um or ex x to him, talk to him and then we'll go from there. So, >> okay. I don't know if I need >> You want to go upstairs and get back into the warm? >> Sure. >> All right. Just try to keep everyone separate. >> Do you have any questions on that so far though? I'll explain it to you. >> Um disappointing. So, so in this case, you know, just trying to like [ __ ] speak some reason here. Who determines >> who determines the logic between who gets the [ __ ] full right to just [ __ ] take the child? If >> because right she just [ __ ] convinced her daughter just walk out and she just walks past us and I can't do anything here. >> You were covered when we left. >> I'm sorry education for you. >> I get a reception. >> Okay. Um your question is who determines like who gets custody of who? >> Well, so like you guys as the mediators, this is a civil case, right? This is something that we need to go to the [ __ ] courts to get like a >> Yeah. But I'm saying in this instance, so what? She's just allowed to just take my [ __ ] child and leave and you guys can't do anything. >> Like I said, if it was the same way, it' be the same way with you. Like we couldn't tell you. >> That's what I'm saying. I try to keep my daughter, but then because you guys show up and then she's here with her [ __ ] mother, she convince my ex to just walk out with my daughter. And in this instance where I called you guys, you see what I mean? >> Yeah, I see what you mean. >> Because I'm pulled away, that gives her the opportunity to [ __ ] run. So >> just if you walked out with your kid, man, that that's just the nature of them, man. We can't, like I said, we can't force that unless there's some type of emergency that kids in danger, you know, the individual. >> I understand. That's why I was trying to keep my baby here. >> I got you, man. That's that's that's where we're at. You know what I mean? >> Um I would say at your earliest convenience, definitely go through the civil process for it. It does help a lot when you do do that. Um, and in the event that there is some type of deviation from that court order, [snorts] you have every right to just go to the court and then file for like a violation of that protection of those conditions. And then therefore, the judge will it it'll go before arbitration. Then the judge at that point make a determination on what's going to happen with that custody agreement. In that case, sometimes it's like who gets full custody, so on so forth. But there's there's different ways that can go about depending on discretion of the judge. You know what I mean? um given this instance, I would highly recommend you do go that route uh just to mitigate this from even happening in the future. You know what I mean? So, >> do you have any questions so far at all? >> Like I know that she took my baby. I mean, I guess like we're not going to see my baby cuz like >> truthfully like I don't want to [ __ ] talk to her. I'm [ __ ] >> the patience I've had with her [ __ ] mother. The fact that she just walked and just started [ __ ] screaming in my face. >> Obviously, I'm [ __ ] tying them and [ __ ] So it's just >> No, I get I get the frustration. I get the frustration to do. >> Um >> so what now I just have to [ __ ] reach out to her like, "Hey, where's my child?" And then I have to do this back and forth game again or like >> I mean people do sometimes also like if if there's a concern like let's say for example this situation, it happens a lot. It really does. So in an event that you feel like you just want to have the child at least checked on or if you want to go over there if if there's no reason why they can revoke you the right to actually be over there if you just want to go visit. I don't know how you guys agree it is. I don't know. Um or just at least have to go check on the child too. We do that a lot. We do do that, you know. So, um, yes, in the meantime, until you're able to go to court, have the documentation ready to go and then go forward from there, it's a little easier, but then again, like I said, if there's no that in itself so matter. So, but it it does help having the paperwork there. That way, there's some type of organization and agreement there saying like, hey, you said in front of the court, in front of the judge that you're going to buy this, this is my time to have my my child, you know. So, all right, sir. appreciate you coming out. Yes, >> sir. [ __ ] >> All right. Any other questions? Let us know. Okay. >> Uh, Scarboro. >> Yes, sir. >> Yes, sir. >> You're not leaving. >> You're withholding my child from being >> You're withholding my child and you're not [ __ ] leaving with my child. Just packing up all the neighbors just cuz not trying to make a run for it. >> I'm leaving. >> Huh? >> I'm leaving. >> I'm not leaving my child. >> You're not leaving. >> I'm literally going to stand here. You're not [ __ ] leaving. >> That's my daughter not leaving. >> I have the right to leave with her. But >> you do not have the right to just [ __ ] take my child. >> I'm not agreeing to this. Hi. >> Hi. >> Can you please let me go? >> No, you can leave. You're not taking my daughter. >> Can you let me go, please? >> You're not taking my daughter. >> We're going somewhere safe. We're going to my mom's. You'll see her tomorrow. >> You can be safe alone without my daughter. >> Aaron, please let me leave. >> No, you're not leaving with my child. I don't know how more [ __ ] clear I need to be about that. >> Okay, I'm going to get past you and I'm going to go towards the door. >> I'm not [ __ ] leaving with my daughter. >> Don't touch me. >> I'm not touching you. I'm touching my daughter. Give me my daughter. >> No, let me leave. >> You're not leaving with my daughter. >> Let me leave. >> You're not leaving with my daughter. >> I can leave with her. >> You're not leaving with my daughter. >> I can leave with her. >> And I can stay here with my child. >> That's fine. And you'll have her tomorrow. >> No. >> Yes. >> I'm telling you now. You don't get to make the [ __ ] executive decision. >> If I feel unsafe with you. Yeah, I can. I can leave. You told me we can leave. You told me you didn't care. >> I can leave. You >> and she can come with me. >> You keep saying I told you we're [ __ ] past that. We're [ __ ] broken up. You're not together. This is my child. You're not leaving with my child. >> You're not leaving with my child. >> Go through the door. >> You can leave. I'm not going to [ __ ] elaborate again. You can leave. You're not taking my daughter. You've done enough damage. I'm keeping my daughter. >> Let me leave with her. No, >> you will see her tomorrow. We I don't feel safe here. >> Please let us leave. >> If you don't feel safe, then call the police and we can [ __ ] sort it out. I don't [ __ ] care how many [ __ ] more times I have to [ __ ] be clear about this. >> Keep getting the cops involved. >> I don't care what you want. I'm [ __ ] keeping my daughter. You're not [ __ ] taking her. >> Let me leave with Yes. >> No. Ask again. You're getting another No. You're not taking my daughter. You can leave. >> You're not taking my daughter. >> She's my daughter. I can take her. We have equal custodial rights. >> She's my daughter, too. Not taking. >> You've already taken one for my [ __ ] life. You're not taking this one. >> Okay. >> I don't care. I don't care what you want. You can leave. You singular. >> I'm not leaving the baby. She's going to be with her mother. She's going to be safe. I'm going to bring her back. >> She's going to be safe with her father. I don't [ __ ] trust you. >> How are you going to provide to her? Do you have your her EBT? >> I don't [ __ ] trust you. I don't >> Have you worked? Do you have a car seat? [music] >> Let me leave. >> You're not leaving. >> Let me leave. You're not leaving. >> You don't have a car seat. You >> don't have a car. >> You don't have anything to your [ __ ] name. >> I do have a car. You're not taking Let me leave. >> No. I'm not telling you again. No. >> You're not taking my baby. >> Let me leave. >> No. >> I have everything for her in the car. You If there's an emergency that happens, you can't even [ __ ] leave. >> I don't. That's not the case. But >> that is the case. You don't have a car seat. You can't pay for her for anything right now. >> Okay. >> Please let us go. I was still willing to [ __ ] help you. >> No, >> you're not leaving with I'm I'm not >> What sense does it make for me to have my daughter stay here with somebody who doesn't have a [ __ ] car seat? >> I'll help you buy one. Let us leave. >> You're not leaving. >> I'm not telling you again. I'm going to get my phone in like [ __ ] 30 seconds. I will call the cops on myself. You're not leaving with my child. >> I don't care what you want. I [ __ ] You can leave. You're not taking my daughter. >> You don't have any means to >> You're not going to just [ __ ] leave. No, you're not taking my daughter. >> Stop. >> You're not taking my daughter. >> Stop. >> You're not taking my daughter. >> Aaron, get away from me. >> You are not taking my daughter. >> I can leave. Let me go. And if you can, >> you're withholding my child from me. >> She's our child. No, you're withholding my child and you're not [ __ ] leaving with my child. You can leave. I cannot make that. >> You don't have any. You can't pay for her food. >> I don't care what you think I can or cannot afford. >> If you were asking me for a [ __ ] car payment, dude, >> let me leave. >> I have [ __ ] means to pay. >> Okay, let me leave. >> Oh, no. You're not [ __ ] leaving. Don't [ __ ] touch me. >> You're not [ __ ] leaving with my child. >> You can leave. I cannot make any. >> You don't have any. You can't pay for her food. >> I don't care what you think I can or cannot afford. >> If you were asking me for a [ __ ] carving, >> let me leave. >> I have [ __ ] means to pay. >> Okay, let me not [ __ ] leave. Don't [ __ ] touch me. >> You have a video after that? >> No, sir. That was when um once the cops came and then I knew my mom was coming, I just sat down and I waited. Um and I know it's not relevant like at this point. Um, but I do have videos of why I felt the need to leave and um, I don't know if it's important to mention. Um, but just the way he acts in front of the baby where he loses his temper. >> Is it is that before today? >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. Just hang on to those. >> Okay. >> All right. So then, um, he's not letting you leave the residence. Um, you try to get past him a couple times. Um, did you think to call the police? >> No, sir. >> How come? >> Well, I understand that it's a civil matter. Um, but once once I called my parents, my dad had told me to just call the police. Um, but I wanted to record to show that he wasn't letting me leave at that point. >> Okay. And um, at what point are you able to get out of the apartment? I think he'd let me leave if I didn't have a baby. >> Right. But I'm saying right now like when did you actually go to the NCP apartment? When the cops got here? When? >> Yes, sir. >> So the cops got here and he went downstairs and he's the one that called the cops. >> Yes, sir. >> Could you have at any point taken your phone and called us to tell us something about this man's not? >> Yes, sir. I I knew once he told me I'm not going to let you leave, but I didn't think that he was going to actually stand in front of the door. Um, so once he did, I just recorded him because I wanted to show that that was happening. Um, >> and then so after you finish the recording, you call your mom and dad. >> No, sir. I called him before, like right when he started telling me he's not. >> Okay. And so then they your mom and your dad tell you to call the cops. >> Yes, sir. >> And instead you made the video called the cops. Yes, sir. >> What's your first name? >> She has her name tag with the keypass inside of the apartment. So, we got to go get that. >> It says um ma on it. >> Where is it at? >> Um it should be on the kitchen counter or I believe in the restroom. >> Okay. Um Okay. Mr. Po, I just need to get a name tag that Sarah left. Is that all right? She said it was either on the Oh, it's probably Thank you. >> How you doing, sir? >> So, here's the deal, man. Um, I looked at the video. I guess there was a video that was recorded during the incident. Um, there are some things that came to light um that wasn't informed of during our interview. Um, basically, uh, what took place in the video with you standing in front of the door meets the elements of false imprisonment, which is an offense, and then we're going to have to take you out on that. >> What? >> Yes. So, >> take me in to arrest me. >> Correct. Yes, sir. So, right now, you'll be placed under arrest for false imprisonment. >> For how long? >> Um, you'll be seeing a judge tomorrow for your arraignment, most likely. But that's that's not my decision. That's just discretion. >> Can I get my stuff? >> What are you trying to grab? I don't know, like a wallet, jacket, maybe some shoes. >> Okay. Um, I'll let you grab your shoes so your feet aren't cold. Um, you can just take that jacket with you. Do you have your wallet in your in your purse right now? But taking my child's Okay. Where's your shoes at, bro? Uh, I got some socks. You said you had your wallet with you already. Uh, >> it might be on there when I >> is okay if I grab it if it is. >> Yeah. See this damn cat. >> We're uh Where's the gap food and stuff? >> Top of the fridge or No, it's right there at the end of the counter. Right next to that water. >> Okay. You want just supporting the bowl? >> Yeah. Okay. >> We'll just stop on the balcony. I'll just place now. >> Can I just lock the door? >> Yeah, that's fine. Once you lock the door, >> I'll take your phone to the phone. and your wallet, your keys. That'll all go to your property if you have to. Just got to search everything. Separate your feet from me, please. You have any sharp object that feel something metal in your water? >> What's that? >> It's a hard. I'll call her right now and get that statement and then it that's all I need for URL and then
