So, like Brian was saying, um it's not the first time that we've been lied to. So, we we understand how kind of uh your perspective changes a little bit and uh we just wanted to come come hear what you had to say. So, >> on July 11th, 2018, in the Orafino area of Idaho, Cole J. Marcel was brought in for questioning in connection with the death of Sarah Warden, who had died as a result of a homicide. Spoiler details are in the video description and the full results of all charges in the case are laid out at the end of the video. >> Floor is yours, [clears throat] man. Amanda, like I said, that the whole process of me and Amanda was true. Um, I seen Sarah probably about a half a dozen times. Talked to her maybe once or twice. She ended up stealing dope for me and things out of my truck. Um, my intentions were just to get my money back. Um, there's a fellow and I'm being 100% honest. I don't know his name, but he has 13 tattooed on his cheek right here. And uh when I was sitting at Walmart, that gentleman brought the victim to my truck. And uh I guess the original plan was to scare tactic, scare her, you know, so she won't steal from us or whatever. And uh it went a lot further than that. Um, the dude pretty much threatened my life if I didn't do it. Um, I walked up to her and I didn't even call the way through. I nicked her throat just because this dude's behind me getting ready to kill me. After that, the chick and him just went haywire. I started stabbing her multiple [ __ ] times. It made me sick. Um, let me end up loading her. This happened to wall. Dude had me end up helping him load her up and take her all the way to my springs and dump her off. [snorts] I wish I knew what his name was. White boy Shraggy 13 tatto. It's all I remember about him. He has the knife. That knife I was busted with. I just bought. He We used to fillet knife. told me it was going to kill me and her too if we didn't join. [ __ ] I guess I just I was scared, guys. Um, it's not intentionally want to lie. It's just I was scared. So, again, I'm sorry for lying to you guys, but >> I understand. I do have Mors. >> Caught you completely off guard. >> I've been raped. I've been beaten. I've been treated like [ __ ] my whole life. That's why I keep a straight face. So, I'm sorry about that. >> I appreciate that. >> Like I said, I just don't feel like I need to go down for the rest of my life for someone else that's forced me into it. >> Right. Yeah. >> You know, I know what I'm facing still. I never wanted to do that. I know it doesn't change the fact that it happened. I was scared for my own life. >> Um I mean, look at my record. Look at people that know me. I was just an innocent young boy. And then yeah, I got in some trouble, but nothing like this. I never been around anything like this in my life till recently. And I I kind of blame myself because I was in the dope game. You know, if I wasn't hanging out with those people, this wouldn't have never happened, >> right? >> So, I have a lot of guilt and shame from that. I prayed forgiveness for the situation and I'm trying to not want to just not live anymore. I mean, that's how much guilt I have. >> Yeah, it's going to be heavy >> cuz this is not who I am. And that's why I said, you know what? [ __ ] my pride. [ __ ] my ego. [ __ ] what anybody says about me. I'm going to tell them the truth cuz if I go out at least I go out with being honest. >> Yep. >> Let's stand up. >> My dad raised me better. >> I just told him yesterday or two days ago. >> Uh-huh. What'd he say? >> He's shocked. He didn't know what to think. It freaked him out. So, I'm sorry, Dad. I had to tell you. >> Yeah. It's hard to keep it inside. >> I'm not scared of [ __ ] prison. I'm just hurt by it. >> But what happened for your part? >> Yeah, man. I think I'm mad at myself for allowing me to do those things to be around those certain people. I'm mad at them. I feel so sorry for her. >> Yeah, I even I didn't even cut the juggler. I just nicked her cuz I didn't want to do it, but it was obviously a good enough for them. And then I watched him just dab her repeatedly. She's screaming. >> Oh man, that must have been tough to watch. >> I already got enough trauma in my life, let alone that [ __ ] All right. Try to hold myself together. [snorts] I've been trying so hard to block it out. No matter what I do, it just keeps coming back, haunting me. Maybe by telling you guys the truth, maybe I don't know, maybe my conscious will come back in a good way. I I just maybe that's just wishful thinking. I don't know. [snorts] I like I like I'm sorry for lying to you guys. I'm just scared to death. >> By you talking to us and telling us the truth, the family will think a lot more highly of you as well. I mean, you talk about forgiveness. That's the first step in forgiveness is being honest with it. >> I never wanted to do it. I tried to avoid it, but I couldn't. [snorts] I didn't want to die either. >> Right. >> I hope you find him. >> Well, hopefully you can help us and give us a little more information on how we how we can go about finding him. He's always around Walmart right by that that whole dope. I mean, there's like five houses there that sell dope. So, just got you guys down there watching for a guy that's kind of shaggy shraggy dark hair and a 13 tattooed on his face. >> How old do you think he is? >> Oh [ __ ] he about mid-30s higher. >> No. How tall? No, about 511. >> Weight >> about 200. >> Any names or nicknames you heard from him? >> He wouldn't tell me [ __ ] Nobody else did either. >> When did you first meet him? >> That night. He brought her to my truck and then did that to me. >> Do you remember the day? >> Not right now. top my head. >> So the you got arrested in bathroom on June 1st, >> right? >> So was it that day or the night before? >> Was it, if I remember right, it was two days before, two or three days before? >> Because we we know on the 31st, which was the day before, um she was still alive then. She talked to one of our our officers So it either in knowing that and knowing when you're arrested, it would have either been the night was very that you guys talked to. >> No, we talked to talk to talk to the victim, Sarah. >> That's impossible. It was two days before. >> Yeah. >> Did you talk to her in person or the phone? >> Yeah, in person with our our cameras recordings and we've we've watched that video. >> Maybe I got my D. So in the Walmart parking lot, do you remember where in the parking lot you were at? >> More towards the Walmart sign like maybe 100 yards away from the entrance store is kind of the side a little bit. Just try to get a an overview of Walmart in the parking lot. So, the reason I'm asking is just because of the cameras there and you know, I'm trying hoping that we since you don't know much about this guy, we can try to identify him through Walmart cameras. >> Okay. Works. >> So, you said he's 51 200. Uh, did you pull that up yet or Okay, >> I'm still doing it. So what what did he have against uh the victim? >> I don't know. He was shooting up with her and laughing and joking. >> Before uh So did you guys take your truck or? >> Yeah, I took my truck. I just met him that night like few hours before the incident. >> So this was in the truck or in the parking lot where he was shooting? >> Walmart. Yeah. >> Okay. And then did it change immediately when you got in the truck? >> It well at first it didn't and then it and then he's like let's let's go for a drive and everything like that. I'm like all right I know some pretty cool [ __ ] country. >> Yeah. >> And so we went to Waja and it pulled over and then that [ __ ] started [ __ ] happening and in my life I was at risk. >> [ __ ] >> Yeah. [snorts] So this is street right along here and then the entrance coming in. >> The house is Yeah. Right up right up in there. >> Um there's Walmart that is that the original entrance right there. I think we're like right in here area. >> Okay. >> Day or night? >> Night. >> Do you remember what time? I was trying to figure that out with him last [snorts] time. >> Kind of up from the main ones out more towards that middle middle planter area. >> Yeah. >> And near Dodge pickup. >> Yeah. >> This should show on camera with him and her running in their truck getting in. All I wanted was money that she stole from me. That was it. >> Yeah. So, just him and the victim came in the truck or was >> Manda and I were already in the truck. >> Okay. >> And I'm starting to think that she had this set up. >> Yeah. >> It just seems too odd. >> I never met this dude before and all of a sudden he knows how to come come to my truck. Yeah, >> with her. I never talked to him. >> She must have. >> I don't know how he knew. >> Did Did she say that she knew him or did they seem to know each other when when he got in? >> I didn't seem like it. I don't remember her saying anything about it cuz you guys remember I was really high. >> Yeah. >> And I'm trying to be with you. >> But as far as I remember, I don't remember her saying anything about knowing this guy. So why why did they want to ride in the truck or why did you want to pick them up? Like what was the plan? >> We were sitting there at Walmart, Amanda and I and everything and u we were letting for her cuz we knew she got paid like like the whole situation and I wanted what she took from me back. >> Amanda was going to help me do that. >> So you're planning on getting what she owed you? >> Yeah. >> Right. And then all of a sudden here's this dude with her >> and I don't know anything about this dude. So I'm thinking, you know, okay, what the [ __ ] I guess whatever, you know, I guess is what I was thinking. I really don't know what I was thinking much. >> Yeah, >> it was so high. Um and then uh we're just chilling out there and they they shot up a couple times. I'm scared of needles so I won't do it. >> Yeah. [snorts] A bad incident happened when I was kid getting a tennis shot, but uh it's here or say the truck was facing like here's Walmart. Truck was facing like that. It came around the front into the truck and sat in the back of the truck. trying to remember what was any clues or anything we said. >> So then uh they hopped in and he said, "Hey, let's go for a drive." >> I was about 30 minutes into it. >> Okay. So you guys were hanging out there for about half hour before you took off. >> Yeah. And it sucks too cuz I swear normally I would ask what's your name and I can't remember the name right now. >> Yeah. Well, I mean that's understandable when you're just high out of your mind, right? I mean, that type of stuff kind of skips out. So, uh, he said, "Let's go for a drive." And you immediately thought, "I know." >> We all agreed to it. Like, >> okay. >> Like, yeah, cool. You know, let's go out in the woods. Let's chill. >> Yeah. >> You know, I'm a country boy. I was raised in the wood pretty much, >> right? >> You know, and I was like, I'll show you some pretty cool country. >> Okay. And we get up by pretty much the top Waja past the lake. We take instead of following that main road, we take the gravel road up to the top. >> So where it curves to the left >> curves >> and you can go straight >> straight up gravel. We went up that to the top. >> Okay. >> And then we're pulling between two railroad ties >> where it meet meets back in. >> Yeah. >> Okay. So you you took it where it goes straight and then you know where >> to the top >> stage. So like stage coach. >> Yeah. You get up to the top >> and then I think there was another road coming like this. Like this. And before that I believe. >> Okay. >> You getting your map? >> Yep. >> Actually I think I might have one of those here. Let's see here. Yeah. Okay. >> Let's see here. There's Winchester. >> Yeah, there's Winchester. So come from Lewon would be >> it's so it's kind of off the map here. >> Waja road and then you can go left along the main or go straight right >> up there stage coach >> and then >> that road right there splits. >> Well the one where it initially splits right after it turns from uh pavement to gravel. >> Yeah. >> Is that the one where you went straight? I went up the gravel and there's one up at the very top where there's two gravel roads. One comes off from an angle and the other one just got the one I was on just kept on straight. >> Okay. >> And you follow all that all that all the way and it takes you to Soldiers Meadow. >> Mhm. Yep. So Soldiers Meadow Road >> and then you can go to Winchester that way too. >> Okay. So where were you guys when you you pulled off or did you pull off or you know you said it started going crazy at some point. >> Yeah, I had pull off um right as soon as we cut up to the top. It was dark. I can't remember exactly where we're at. >> Okay. But around the junction. Uh >> yeah. >> Okay. Makes sense to you. Yeah. Okay. So, you were you were right around this area, >> I say. So, yeah. >> Okay. So, um then then what happened right there? >> Well, I said he he pretty much [ __ ] forced me like he used to you do this or you're going to die. And so I had to walk up to her while Amanda was holding her and I had to go like that. I didn't even get to her throat guard, but >> I'm not trying to justify it. I'm sorry. >> That's okay. >> I just want to find out what happened. >> Yeah. And then he went next and we went bonkers and then she went next after that. She went bonkers. So when he said you got to do this or you're going to die, was the truck already had you guys already stopped? >> It was already stopped. Okay. Out of the truck and then just the headlights was on. >> And why [clears throat] why did you stop? Cuz he at what point? >> Take this. >> You had to take this? >> Yeah, I had to take this. >> And then >> he did too. >> Mhm. >> I don't think the girls did. >> Right. And then how did it get from I got to take a piss to >> Well, I had I got out. Man was up front. He was in the back with the victim. So, we had to open the doors. Then he ended up dragging her out of there. >> Okay. >> Out of the rig. And then that's when it started cracking down. >> Yeah. And And I'm sorry. Can you go point by point on how it started cracking down? So he pulls her out of there. >> Pulls her out. Um, Amanda beats beats her up first. Um, >> what did Amanda have against her? >> Uh, stealing from me and [ __ ] because Amanda liked me. >> Okay. >> Um, he was on the passenger side. After that, she was holding her up and he said, "You go. It's your turn. Hand me the knife." Said, "No, I'm going to kill you." >> Yeah. >> What the [ __ ] So I didn't know any better. >> I didn't know this dude had a gun or what. I take off and shoots me in the back or >> Yeah. >> So I just tried to like nick her, not fully, just nick her so that he was satisfied. And then watching them do that, I was like, "Fuck." Then having to drive around these [ __ ] people. And then after the after dropping him off, he went straight to Lon and dropped him back off at Walmart and that was it. Last time I ever seen him and then shortly after Manda had Sarah's card and then I ended up carrying having it in my pocket. She didn't have any pockets that the reason why it was in mine. >> Okay. >> And that's why I had it in my pocket. >> So she had taken that card from her >> when this all went down is when she took it. >> Yeah. >> Okay. I mean, she knew the password and everything. >> So, tell me about what Sarah was doing like when this is all happening. >> She was You mean like what she stole or >> So, you guys are driving from Walmart to Waja and everything seems pretty cool, right? >> Laughing, joking. They're getting high. We I was smoking weed cuz I It's hard to [ __ ] smoke when you're driving, honestly. >> Right. >> So, I was hiding my joints and stuff. I like weed and stuff. And we're all laughing and joking. And then all of a sudden, you had to take a piss when we got up top of the wall. Originally wanted to show him a cool cabin that Britain, some Britney chick showed me when we were hanging out. >> Okay. >> And it has like food in it. It had a stove. It was like really cool. Like, let's go chill out there. Check that out. I got permission. Well, we end up driving past that a little farther. And then he like pissed. I got pissed, too. All right. So, I pull over. I see a spot. Pull over. And that's man opened her door and he opened his door. Got out and drug her ass out. She end up [ __ ] just going after him. >> So you told me last time that she was pretty uh gone, right? >> She was gone. Yeah, she >> So did she even know what was she fighting it? Did she know what was happening when she was getting drugged out? Was she Was she conscious at that time? >> She was conscious enough to know what was going on, I think. >> Okay. Because when uh we pulled over and I started getting out and they started getting out, she's all I'm not high anymore. >> Sarah said that. >> Yeah. After she was talking some gibberish like that. >> Mhm. >> She's like, "I'm not high anymore now." And it sounded really concerned like she got the instinct of what was going on, you guess. >> Did she understand why everybody was going at her? She knew that that she stole from me and man haded wanted to beat her ass for it and then she ended up dying to pay for it. >> Okay. So this guy um so Amanda beats her up uh and this guy standing right there and he hands you the knife and you thought he might have had a gun. You didn't know. >> I didn't know what else you had. >> He hands me a fillet knife. He hands you a fillet knife and he says, >> "Do it or I'm going to kill you." >> And >> his reason was is that way everyone was involved. That way nobody was snitching. >> Okay. >> Which makes sense in a way. >> Yep. Right. And uh you knew when he said do it. I mean is that was that his words do it or was he more >> Go on your do your turn. Do it. >> Your turn. Okay. >> That's just I keep saying do it cuz that's what he said. >> Yeah. I can't remember exactly you adjusted me, but the way you looked at me and everything, I was like, "This guy's [ __ ] for real." >> And had she already been cut or stabbed at that point or that was the first? >> No, he made me do it first. >> Okay, [clears throat] that's kind of messed up. So, um, [snorts] then you you were behind her or in front of her? >> In front of her. >> You were in front of her and Amanda was holding her from behind. >> He made me look her in her eyes. >> Okay. And so I'm I'm sure this is really hard. I'm sorry, man. But um to get the guy that's that's really responsible for this, we got to have the details. >> I didn't want to bring this up again like that. Sorry. [snorts] >> That's okay. We can give you a second. >> That shit's traumatic. >> Yeah, [snorts] absolutely. >> [snorts] >> [ __ ] [sighs] building this [ __ ] the rest of my life. [snorts] I' I've been really trying to change myself last time I got out drug court and everything cuz I don't want to be around those people anymore. >> Right. >> That scared the [ __ ] out of me enough where I wanted to change. [snorts] Okay. Just that visual got to me. >> I understand. So you said, "Do it or I'm going to kill you." And uh you took the filet knife and you got her in the throat just about right here. >> Yeah, I nicked her at the throat just a little bit. >> Okay. [snorts] And he was satisfied with that. >> Yeah. There was just enough blood. It wasn't no squirting or hurt. She was still alive. Like I didn't cut the jugler. She was still breathing and everything. >> It was just a little blood coming down. And I guess we were all high enough that was good enough. And then he was like, "All right, my turn." And then he made him mad to do it. >> Okay. And they [snorts] each went at her a lot. >> I don't know how many times. >> Okay. >> It was making me [ __ ] sick. >> I know. That's the hardest part to talk about. So So uh what happened after that? >> She died. And then uh >> So you guys watched her? You knew she was done. >> I couldn't stand there and watch her die. >> But you knew that she was done. >> She was done. >> I checked for pulse. >> Okay. >> And he's [snorts] all dead. Like, yeah. Like, all right, let's load her up. Take her somewhere else. Okay. At this point, I was just agreeing to everything he said. Yeah. [snorts] >> And he's like, "You know what area?" I was like, "Yeah, native land, I guess." I mean, I grew up that house right there at Mud Springs, that was the house I lived in. >> Okay. >> So, yeah, I know that country the back of my hand. >> So, you you took Soldiers Meadow straight back roads. >> Yeah. >> Back over that one restaurant situation just past the lake. >> Okay. and then drove through the roads and the rolling [ __ ] hills. >> Yeah. >> Drove back that way and then came into Winchester. That was the only thing. Mason boot. That boot right there. My mom's ashes are on there. >> Oh man, that's doubly traumatic. [snorts] >> And I beat myself up about that. >> Yeah. Your mom. >> Cuz I know what she would think or what she would say, >> right? >> [snorts] >> That was supposed to be my my area where I can go to and talk to my mom. Now I can't show up to that place again knowing that would somewhere else. I mean, as far as that goes, [snorts] >> the situation would never happen. >> That's how you knew of that meadow up there above the lake then >> because Mason Butes right there, >> right on top right of the tower, I dumped her ashes and I used white rock and made a cross. >> Okay. >> And that was back in 2016. 2014 [snorts] she died or no 2008 she died. I'm getting my numbers mixed up. I was 14 when she died. 2008 she died and then 16 is when my dad and I went up there and dumped her ashes and also at the river. >> You went through a lot. >> I was raped 11 years old. I've been bullied my whole life at school. I was a laughingtock because I have learning learning and comprehending disability. So I couldn't speak right. >> Yeah. >> So I was made [ __ ] and then I was short and fat. So I was a fat ass little [ __ ] my whole life. Then I was brutally raped. Guy punched me four times in the face, slam in the ground, raped me, and then cleaned me up and told me he was going to kill my mom if I said anything. >> Oh man, I'm sorry. I didn't tell anybody till I was 20. >> [snorts] >> And then my mom passed away. She died. She had a bunch of that cancer [ __ ] come out of her mouth and nose. My dad asked me, "Do you want to say goodbye?" And I said I couldn't. So I got that regret. [snorts] 7 years later, my grandfather dies the same day in my arms and nobody is there. I had to tell the doctor to pull the plug. The same [ __ ] day. 7 years later. I've been trying and trying to get my life straight and figured out and it doesn't seem like no matter what I [ __ ] do. That's why I wanted mental health court this last time. One-on-one counseling to help me deal with my trauma. >> Yeah, you need to talk to somebody >> because I do I did good this last time for like two years and then my ex- fiance left me and took the kids out of my life and wouldn't tell me why. I just gave up. I can see how this would happen. >> That That was the reason why I started doing dope. >> Yeah. And then everything went down. >> So, um [snorts] it had to be difficult to get the the pickup up there. Uh and it's like runoff season, right? Into May. >> Yeah. It wasn't hard at all. >> No. >> Four low first gear. That truck is a champ. It's a had a 318 engine. So the weight ratio and the power ratio >> power is nothing. Yeah. >> It just crawls. >> Okay. [snorts] And did that guy you just knew, hey, this is an area that >> all the natives dump their u their carcasses from animals and stuff. Oh, >> okay. And you chose that be [snorts] because of that because you thought or >> I chose that hoping someone find it a lot sooner than they did. >> Okay. >> Like they people go up [snorts] there frequently so they would be able to at least see this and tell this girl's mom >> cuz I was scared to say anything. >> Yeah. >> And I've been waiting for this. >> Okay. when you guys first approached me, I just wasn't ready. And I'm sorry for that. [snorts] >> Okay. And then uh >> so um from there you said you went back to Lewon. >> Yeah. went back to Boston and then um the next day within the next day or two we went up to >> okay you and who went through >> all right [snorts] so >> pinpoint >> um you said Miranda earlier you said Amanda or Miranda >> she worked at Pondo a long time ago >> but it was the black girl that was with you when you got arrested up Okay. >> Yeah. >> Um, and you guys were an item. >> No, I was single, but we were having sex. Excuse me. >> Okay. >> Cuz after Chris left me, I've been single pretty much for like 7 months, 8 months. >> It destroyed me. And I wasn't willing to put the effort in any other relationship. So, I was like, I always confronted these girls like I don't want a relationship. If you're down to be a friend, [ __ ] whatever. Cool. >> Yeah. >> You know, I'm down with that. And that was it. [snorts] And Amanda hit my rock bottom when I met her. >> So, are you still with Amanda then? >> No. Haven't [clears throat] talked to her since I've been locked up. >> Are you with anybody? [snorts] >> Single. >> Okay. A few things. So, when you guys were first when they first brought Sarah over to the the pickup in the Walmart parking lot, was [snorts] she what was her demeanor? >> Seemed happy. >> And so, she she was okay with going for >> Yeah, she was okay going for a ride. >> Nobody had say anything about the fact that she had stole from me or anything at that point. >> She knew it. She knew it. She's like, "I got your money." She told me when I sat in my truck, she said that to me, I got your money and everything, go to ATM. Okay, cool. And then was like, let's go for a drive. Let's celebrate that, you know, this is happening. Like, okay. So, we all did. And then, you know, so forth. So it wasn't until you got up into Waja and stopped that she realized it >> in one side. >> And then when I realized what the hell was going on. >> So after after it all happened [snorts] um where did you put her in the pickup? >> Just in the back. >> In the back the bed of the pickup. >> Yeah, I just tossed her in there. >> I'm assuming that you cleaned it out. >> Nothing. You haven't touched it since then? I I threw a bunch of of other people's belongings in it. She had everything on her. >> But you had heard a report from Rotham that it had you had a lot of stuff in the back end in the cab and the back of the pickup. Whose stuff was that? >> Lot there was a lot of it that was my clothes and then there was um Alexia Holl Balls, my step exppdaughter. Uh she forgot it at my old house like months ago and I've been carrying around. It was some Mandanda Miranda, whatever her name was, and that was it. Mostly mine and then garbage. [snorts] So, where the where it happened at, you know, I understand it was dark. Do you remember about what time it was? It had to been Midnight around there. It has to be within that midnight area. >> And you had mentioned earlier about something about a couple between a couple railroad ties. What do you mean by that? Where you parked? >> Well, it was just a little there was what it was around the main road and there was like railroad tie fence connected. Railroad tie fence connected with gate in the middle and just kind of >> just like that. That's in the corner. Okay. >> [snorts] >> We'll fast forward a little bit. Um, when did you first did you see the like in the news or did did you see that it hit the news or how did you know that the body had been recovered? >> My uncle John Boy found it. That's what I was told. >> I'm not I wasn't there for that so I'm not sure. >> It was my mom's brother that found it cuz my uncle Tom had a candy. I told him, "Hey John, I just found a body in my experience." So your uncle Tom told you is that that's how you found it. >> Yeah, that's how I found out, >> you know, and obviously I wasn't trying to run away, >> right? >> Wanted to get figured out. >> So earlier we talked um obviously we talked with the the cellmates you had here and they had mentioned that you had said you had stabbed her a couple times in the neck. Is that something >> that you told them or what? What did you tell them? So we can just get that >> same story I just told you guys. >> Okay. >> You know, obviously in a dumb I was being immature about it, you know, but the same exact story. Well, that just shows you had a lot of, you know, that it hits you, you know, that you when you do that, you're kind of getting it off your conscience, which, you know, shows that you have some remorse that, you know, that's weighing you down that that bad. >> Oh, it's been weighing me down bad. [snorts] >> So, I had also in our earlier talk, I talked to with you about um what Tyrell had said. >> Who's Tyrell? He's the guy that was living at that house where Sarah was living, that Eighth Street house. >> Okay. >> Um, he had said that you and Amanda White were talking about White. There you go. That's her last name. And it was Amanda. Okay. Anyway, sorry. >> So, I mean, some at some point somebody got the story from I'm assuming you. But that's where they said they got it from is that you guys, you and Amanda were going to rob her of her social security. Had you talked about this at all with >> I mentioned I was going to get my money back. Amanda mentioned that she robber her and so since we or two are hanging out and everything, I just wanted my money back. I was trying to sell dope to fix my truck to go see my dad that's dying. >> And you had this so this conversation where you're talking about this happened at that 8th Street house. >> Yeah. >> Do you remember who all was there? Like I said, there's probably about eight people that names I don't [ __ ] remember. >> And that sounds kind of shitty, too, because eight people you think I would have figured out one name besides Mendes and Sarah's obviously. >> There's I know that house. There's a lot of people that come and go and some people don't want their names known. >> Yeah. >> Um, [snorts] how where does Amanda live >> right now? I have no clue. She sent me texts while I was locked up and I seen when I was out and then I tried to say, "Hey, what's up?" And then she would never respond. >> And that was on your >> text. So, Messenger. >> Yeah. >> Do you know if her Facebook is under the name Amanda White? >> I I don't know cuz I thought I had her added on Facebook, but you were looking and she I obviously didn't. >> And she's black, right? >> Yeah. Was there anything else taken off Sarah other than the debit card? >> As far as I know, I don't think she had anything else. >> You guys tried to use that card, right? >> Yeah. >> Tell me about that. >> We're up there in Ratham, Idaho. Uh we're going to use that card to get dope, but we had to wait till midnight cuz the card was already used prior before and so we had to wait till midnight. And that's when I we were leaving the house to go do so to get the money to come back for a ball of dope. And then cops swarmed in right then. >> So So did you to get the money out you have to have a pen? Did you you had your pen? >> No, I didn't. Amanda did. >> How'd Amanda get that? >> Uh from Sarah. So >> do you know what point that conversation happened? >> It happened right at Walmart when it was talked about me getting paid back. And and then Amanda's like, "Well, it's time to go get his money." And she's like, "You know the pin. You You can go get it." And she Amanda went out and got the money >> at the ATM at Walmart. >> At Walmart. >> So that should be there, too, right? Okay. [snorts] Sorry, my memory starting things are starting to kick in the more questions you guys are asking me, which is good. >> Okay. >> I remember that conversation. So, as far as you know, you guys used it at the Walmart and then at that store in Rathum. >> There was a gas station that she tried. >> Yeah. >> And then it didn't from what you guys told Rum was that it didn't you couldn't get the money. So then somebody went in and used it like milk or something. Chocolate milk. Does that ring a bell? >> Yeah, that does ring bell now that does it. She got a tough moment from me. Maybe >> back to that earlier conversation when you guys were stopped by Raptor. >> She had given a different name to the police. >> She said Sarah. >> No. >> Cops were telling me she's saying her name is Sarah. >> So the Sarah was asking about that debit card. Who's Sarah? >> That's Sarah. >> No, that's what I'm saying. The cops were saying, >> "Oh, okay. figure out who who Sarah was because you because you had Sarah's >> card and she had given I mentioned the name earlier um Jennifer Malar. >> Well, the cop says is why is is she saying like cop told me that Amanda was saying her name is Sarah? I was like no and he was calling me a liar. I was like no it's not it's Amanda. Like we had a little argument about it. >> We haven't so we've got the recording from that. We just haven't had a chance to to watch it yet. >> Okay. >> We're just trying to figure out, you know, why the the name was given why she gave the name she did to Rather and find out for sure who Amanda really is. >> How long have you known Amanda? >> Not even over a week. >> And where did you first meet her at? >> I first met her a long time time ago and we only talked once and that was when she was working here at Pondo. And then I met her like years later right at Walmart. I recognized her. I said, "Hey, didn't you used to live in Marino?" And it started from there, like a week prior before this all happened. And then we started hanging out and doing our thing, of course. And then boom, here's this situation. >> Okay. It's one thing I forgot to ask. When this this whole incident happened where you know she got killed, was anybody wearing gloves or no >> just everybody free bomb it? So there should be definitely a DNA you can find. >> And she was just put in the back of your pickup. >> Yeah. >> And on the way up there there was you and Amanda up front. >> Yeah. >> And this other guy and >> he sat in the back >> with or on the way up or after the incident? On the way up. >> On the way up it was me driving obviously Amanda behind Amanda. Exactly. Was homeboy whatever his name is and then Sarah was right there. >> Right beside him like was up tight beside him. >> What were the conversations about going up there? >> Going up there to see some badass country. Um wanted we wanted to go for a drive. Wanted to get out of town, get out of list. We all had that agreement. >> Was there anything other than stab stabbing that happened to to her? Any other trauma? Um any other, you know, was hit her with something? Any any guns? Any anything other than the knife? >> No, it was just a knife incident. >> Reason I had she had a pretty big she had damage to her her skull. We're trying to figure out how that happened. I'm not sure how that one happened. I know there was stabbings and then she was in the truck and then pulled her out and she flopped on the ground and then drove off. >> How How'd she get in the back of the pickup? >> Me and um that one dude cuz he's like help me and we had to get down and we touched her. >> Me, too. So, do Dustin or Tad know about this? >> Dustin does. >> Dustin does, but not Tad. >> No, my dad knows. >> Okay. And he told Dustin on the phone or text. >> No, I saw him in person when I told him. >> Okay. >> He was call me a dumbass, you know, being very mad at me about it. So Tad's got some facial tats. >> Yeah. >> But it wasn't Tad that was with you. >> No. >> Okay. >> No. >> Tad doesn't have a 13 tattooed on his cheek either. >> All right. So, did this guy with uh the fle knife and the 13 um what happened to the knife after I mean did you [clears throat] He >> kept it. >> He kept it. If we find him, he still got it on hopefully. Okay. And the knife that was taken off of you and raft. >> I just bought that pawn shop right before I came up. It's records, too. >> Okay. So, there's not going to be any DNA in that. >> No, you won't find nothing on that. I promise you that. >> So, Sarah, when you guys are at Walmart, so you and Amanda, Miranda, whatever her name is, right? >> Um, you're you're going to rip her because she owes you money. But she went and got money when you guys were at Walmart, right? >> So she paid you back there. So I'm I'm having a hard time seeing why this guy with 13 is still like what motive does he have? What's he still pissed off at her about? >> I have no clue what beef he had. The only thing I can think of is that there's money involved and he wanted it. >> Okay. >> Cuz she gets like 800 or something like that a month. She needs 800 a month >> and all I got back was like 50 bucks because that's all she took from me. So she had all the rest of that. >> Okay. So we wanted the money that was on her. >> Yeah. >> So there would have been 800 - 50 750 >> on the car on the car. >> And Amanda got out of the truck to go get the money. >> Okay. So he wasn't personally pissed off at her. He just wanted her money. >> Yeah. That's what I was figuring. I don't know because he was he came off like friendly as hell. Like it was really cool until we got up there to that incident. >> Yeah. >> And then all of a sudden he was just [ __ ] ruthless. Just >> so after this happened, was there any discussion like dude >> what the hell was that about? >> It was quiet the whole way back. >> Okay. >> I mean I was shocked. I didn't want to speak. I didn't want to listen. Music wasn't even on. >> Okay. >> Just the wind from the windows down and that was it. >> Kind of eerie. >> Yeah. I was sick to my stomach. >> Okay. >> So, you know, we just want to make sure since this is the second time we did this, we want to make sure that that we got it right this time, right? And you want to make sure too. That's why you called us back. >> Yes. >> So, um you said we could look at your phones and your Facebook. So when we look at those and we talk to Amanda and we find this guy with 13 on his face and we talk to the people at the house in Clarkson and we talked to the people at the house in Rothram that he got hooked up outside of. They're all going to confirm what you're saying. >> I don't know about the people up there in Ratham and I doubt Amanda and the 13 is going to admit that. >> What do you think they're going to say? They're probably going to blame it on someone else or me or whatever or deny it. One of the two. >> Okay. >> Just like how I try to. >> Yeah. >> I expect that the same. >> All right. >> You know, and it's that's now now I'm worried that now I'm going to be labeled as a snitch and what my life going to be at risk in prison. That's my biggest fear. So, like I said, I'd rather go out honest than a liar. >> Yep. Understand. That's honorable, too. >> That's my point. If I'm going to get killed up there or whatever, it may not happen, but if it does, at least I go out on it. I'm trying to do the [ __ ] right thing. >> So, one of the things we're trying to figure out is uh we saw we saw the body cam with you and Amanda up in Rath. And uh but you told us that the story you told us tonight is exactly what you told your um cellmates uh here uh when you guys had that fight. But what they said is that you told them that Heather was with you. she was the girl with you and that it's the girl that is coming to visit you at the jail, which we know to be Heather. And >> you got to be kidding. >> So, I'm trying to figure out why. I mean, they don't know Heather. Where where would they where would they get that from? Right. >> They get that name because she was coming to see me. I met Heather like four months prior before because of Tara Wilson, I think her name is. and we were just mutual friends. The reason why I got out to Heather is because she was friends with me and it was a home to get out to. Heather didn't even know about this. >> Okay. >> I don't know why they would mention that because she just kept coming to see me all the time is what they're figuring. >> I I don't know. I don't think they had >> wonder question about Heather >> because I don't think they know anybody. They're just telling us what they heard. Um, so Heather, according to them, Heather was your female companion up there. >> No, that was Amanda. >> Okay. >> Heather had was in Came with her kids working. She's a flagger, so she's constantly on the road. She's in Lolo [snorts] right now. >> Okay. She's supposed to come back in the day or two and everything that we're going to get a house down here. My reason because I have to drug court. Her reason it'll be easier for a grandma to help her out with the kids. >> And you guys are not in a romantic relationship at all. >> We haven't even had sex. >> Okay. >> She's not my type. She's not to be a dick, but let me tell you the reason why. Native and she's big. >> Okay. >> So, I mean, I'm not trying to be disrespectful or rude, but I love her for who she is. She's a good person. She has a good heart. >> Okay. >> She's never even had a ticket in her life. >> All right. >> You know, she's been with some [ __ ] up men. I stories I hear from her. Travis and stuff. >> Who's Travis? >> Her ex dad. The kid's dad. >> Her baby daddy. So, do you know what uh what his last name is? >> Penny. >> Penny. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Just a few more and then I'm done. So, when the money was taken from the ATM at Walmart, was it Sarah or Amanda that went and got the money? >> And then, uh, can you describe the knife? >> Knife had a soft rubber to it. Kind of I don't know. It kind of had like a little handle right here where you don't cut yourself and it kind of rounded off and then it was about that long into it. It was a file knife like for fish and stuff >> and a rubber rubber handle. >> Kind of felt like a rubbery handle. Yeah. >> What color? >> I believe it was black I believe. Unless it was gray. It was dark at the time. So, >> Right. And tattoo guy had that. >> Yeah. >> Was it like in a sheath or on him or in the >> He had it on him. He had it like tucked away. It didn't even have a sheath so he could have easily cut himself. Didn't make much sense, but And have you and did you and Sarah Sarah ever have a relationship? >> Sarah and I only talked a couple times. Second time is because she stole from me. First time was because I'm new to the place. I'm like, "Hi." She's all hi. I'm just saying hi to people. Hi here. Hi there. And that was it. >> How long did you How long had it been that you've been going around that Eighth Street house by Walmart? >> It wasn't very long. Like I said, I did Amanda and I met her there. So, about a week or met her at Walmart, but she took me over there. So, it was only been around that area for like a week, week or two. I was there maybe two, three times. >> Cole J.
