Were you telling us though? You said it was an accident. >> It wasn't me to hurt his ass. >> I ain't got no problem with Braxton. >> On March 9th, 2023 in Brown County, Wisconsin, Pres Wade was brought in for questioning in connection with the death of Braxton Phillips, who had died as a result of a gunshot wound. Spoiler details are in the video description and the full results of all charges in the case are laid out at the end of the video. >> What do you guys want to know? >> Well, you want me just to be blunt with you and honest. You just want to have a real conversation. I I want to know what happened with with Braxton, right? So, whatever you can share with me. It was an accident and we were just listening to music in the room. I had [clears throat] I had his gun and [snorts] I didn't know it was loaded. My shot. >> Thank you for sharing that with me. I appreciate it. I'm sure again we don't mean that you or be any disrespect to you or to Ren. Okay. >> It's just, you know, we we obviously we have a job to do too, right? So, what I what I'd like to do, if it's okay with you, is to continue talking about that and just kind of pull it apart a little bit. Um, just to paint the clearest picture that we can. Obviously, what you told me makes sense to me, but remember, we're trying to paint a picture for someone who wasn't there, right? So, is it okay if you and I continue to kind of talk about this and put that written statement together? >> Okay. Well, that's all I can ask. Right. So, um you said that you were or where were you? Let's start with that. >> We were in the room just chilling on the couch. >> Okay. But like who's >> Cam's house. [snorts] >> And that's Cam is who you? >> He's just a friend. >> Okay. Do you know his last name or anything? >> No, I do not. >> No, that's okay. If you don't, but that's okay. Do you know the address? >> I do not. I just know it's on Vikings. >> Okay. Is it an apartment? Yeah. >> Do you know which apartment you're in? >> Um, I do not. >> That's all right. That's no worry. So, you were at Cam's house at Viking Drive with who? >> Um, just me and Becca. >> And you said you guys were just like kicking it, listening to music. What is What is that all? >> It was my birthday. >> Okay. >> And so, we were just chilling, listening to music and drinking and [ __ ] Okay. >> What were you drinking? >> We had some bumb. >> What? >> Bumboo. >> What's boom? >> It's It's like a rum. >> Okay. [snorts] >> Is it called like for me to type it out? >> It's called bamboo. >> B U M B O >> B U M B U. >> Okay. Oh, sorry. Thank you. >> And then we're drinking Coronas. >> Okay. >> And that was it. And what time do you think you got there? >> Um, we got there kind of early. Um, I would say like like 700 p.m. >> Okay. So, that would have been >> the night before. >> Okay. [snorts] You wanted to start celebrating like your birthday right at midnight? Um, kind of thing kind of. Okay. And then how did you get there? >> Um, we had got a ride from um one of his friends. I forget her name. Um, I want to say Kylie Kai Kai or some [ __ ] like that. >> Okay. And if you don't know that, that's okay. Do you not? If we're not sure, do you want me not to put it in there just in case? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Okay. Yeah. I don't want to put anything in here if we're not sure. That's >> Yeah. I don't know who who it was. >> Okay. So, you guys were hanging out. Um did something like happen or trigger something, I guess you could say. Like, was there an argument or was it just you guys were just >> We were literally just chilling, just [ __ ] listening to music. He was on the phone with a couple people. >> Okay. Do you know who? >> Um he was on the phone with my cousin um last I remember. >> Okay. >> So you said that when this happened it was with his gun. [snorts] >> Yeah. >> Okay. Do you know what kind of gun it is? I mean, >> oh, it's some type of tent. It's like 10 small. It's a little nine. >> Okay. And where was it? >> Um, it was on the floor in front of us. >> Okay. Is that like you just leave it out normally or? >> Yeah. >> Okay. All right. So then how did it get to the point then where you said that the shot was fired? Um, at the point I was really drunk and so I was on my way home >> and [snorts] um I don't know. I was talking I was telling them I kind of >> you take your time. [snorts] We talking about I told him I said, "Nigga, you going to come with me tomorrow?" I said, "We come to go do something." I was like, "Can I get my car tomorrow?" [snorts] He was like, "Yeah." He was like, "Nigga, I'm with it. Whatever." And I don't know. Like I was I picked it up. I was sitting there talking to him. I put my arm around him and I was like I went like [snorts] this. I said something. I was like, "Yeah, [ __ ] We going to go kick it. I pulled the trigger. Boom. He was just like, "Ah." He got up. He ran to the door. And I'm just sitting here in shock. I'm looking like I thought he was faking for a second. >> And [clears throat] he runs to the door. He's like, "I'm shot, nigga." And he comes running right back in front of me. He just drops. And I stood up. I stood up and I'm just sitting here tapping. I'm like, "Brax it. Braxton, nigga." And he just like he folded up. I'm like, "Fuck." And so I tried to I called the cops, but I was just so scared to tell him like that I was there or anything. And so I end up just leaving. So, can can we pull that apart just a little bit? Can we go back through that together? >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, you said it was on the floor. Um, you picked you picked up the gun, but you didn't know it was loaded, right? >> No. >> Do you remember which hand you had it in? >> Are you I'm guessing are you right-handed? >> [snorts] >> You didn't know loaded. >> My [ __ ] best friend. I will never mean to hurt his ass. I swear to [ __ ] you. >> So, where were you? You said you were sitting. What were where where were you sitting or what were you sitting on? >> I was sitt on the on that black sofa. >> Okay. >> At the edge >> in the bedroom. >> Yeah. >> Okay. And no. Was anybody else there with you? >> Nobody. >> Okay. >> And then you just you said you were just talking to him, excited about getting your car. Do you remember like when you when you pulled the trigger, were you anticipating anything? >> Yeah, cuz I was kind of doing it all night. I I I kept [ __ ] with this guy. I kept [snorts] I took the clip out seeing if it was how to do that at the time, but which like I'm not dumb. I know how to use a gun. >> But at the time, like I was doing it all night, so I didn't think nothing of it. I took the clip out. I kept seeing if there's anything. And I just pull shirt just kept doing that a couple times. must have had it cuz I don't never remember. I don't know if I did it or if he did it. But >> is there is it possible there was more than one gun and they got mixed up? >> Um, not that I know of. There was only I only ever seen his gun. >> The T one. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> And so I don't know. I just >> How would you know though, I guess by looking at it? Because to me, I mean, we're familiar with guns, but how do you know by looking at it whether or not there's a round? >> Well, I didn't I would like earlier in the day, I kept taking the clip out and >> and just racking it. >> There's nothing in it. That clip wasn't up. >> So, I pulled the trigger >> and then the clip back in and just just kept [ __ ] with it. And um I think he must have took it and must have racked it pull it in the chamber and then I don't know just set it down. I don't know. So I just have that um it was on the gun was on the floor. You picked it up with your right hand. Um you didn't know it was loaded. Um we're sitting back we're sitting on the black sofa in the bedroom and may I put in here that You held the gun facing him and pulled the trigger. May I mean it sounds like that's what we just discussed, but I always want your permission to put something in a statement. So you held the gun like was it like I mean like you buddy like right here, right here or was it like >> I was like literally right next to him. >> We're sitting our knees like touching. >> Okay. Do you know like was the barrel touching him? Like were you that close? >> I think it was. >> Was it? Okay. May I put that in here? >> So I held the gun towards Braxton with the barrel touching >> his Where was it touching him? >> I wanted like right in his ribs or like right somewhere on his side. >> I'm touching his So his right ribs, right? >> Yeah. and pulled the trigger. He said the gun went off, the gun fired. Um, the gun fired and he said I shot Braxton. Is that correct? >> He said he ran to the living room. He ran into the edge of the the door. >> Which which door? >> Like we were in the room sitting down on the sofa. He just ran to the door. >> Oh, the bedroom door. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> He didn't run out. >> Got it. >> He just turned right back around. >> And what did he say? >> He said, "I'm shot." >> Okay. >> And you said he turned around and then you said he fell. >> And you described him a certain way. What what did you say that he did? He fell and he [snorts] ran to the door and he came back in front of me. I sit down and he end up just laying down. I don't know. Yeah, he end up just sitting down and he fell back and I just see his face and his eyes roll back of his head. >> He just start tensing up and I hear I can't get that. >> You said you called for help though. >> How did you do that? And like you called 911 or like you called >> I don't know. >> Okay. >> And did someone answer? >> Yeah. >> How did that conversation go? >> I just I tried to I tried to lie. I just said I heard a gunshot next door and I'm leaving and I'm scared. >> May I take this as you're singing? I'm sorry. Yes. >> Did you were you able to give that dispatcher like your information or sometimes they ask for it? >> No, they just kept asking what apartment and if I heard any fighting going on or something. >> Okay. [snorts] Did they ask the phone number or anything? >> No, I end up I don't really remember, but I saw I told him I told him that there I just heard a gunshot. >> Okay. and and that I was scared and that I was leaving and um that's all I really remember and I end up just hanging up and the only reason I ask is just so I can try to see if I can find that right just to make it kind of you know make it all kind of put together. Do you remember if you left a name for them? >> I'm not even sure. >> I don't remember. I was drawn. >> Do you What's What's the phone number for that phone? Okay. All right. And so, um, then what happened? I end up leaving and I was just I was just so scared and I just try to like couldn't stop thinking, couldn't stop shaking. I literally did not mean to do that [ __ ] Like that's been my boy I don't know. >> So, where did you go after this? >> I went home back to by my girlfriend. >> And how did you get there? >> Um, I end up getting picked up. >> Who picked you up? >> My girlfriend. >> And I Who was that? >> Um, Keep on >> how do you spell it? >> Um, K E I L E N. >> Okay. >> And she told me that you guys already went through the house and [ __ ] >> and y'all got her mom's car or something. >> Yep. >> We we did do part of that. And then did do you think did did Kilana know like what was up or did she? >> No, no, she just seen I was like really scared and I don't know. I just kept telling her I [ __ ] up. I was like I [ __ ] up. I was like just we just got to go and she kept asking me what happened and I just I couldn't talk. I didn't want to say anything to anybody. >> Right. So, she picked you up, went home. I'm guessing what what time was this about? >> Um, >> and approximate I don't expect you to know the exact time. >> I don't know what time, but I remember like [snorts] it was like just coming like morning and it was like I could start to see outside. Oh, so the sun was kind of starting to pick up. >> Okay. May I describe it as that? >> Yeah. >> So then at this time though, may I ask you kind of can I ask you a blunt question? Is that okay? >> So did you still have the gun right then? >> I took it. >> Okay. Do you want that in here or not? >> I don't know. Don't think it matters at this point. >> I'm going to be going away for a long time. >> Well, I mean, I don't want to get ahead of ourselves, right? You willing to talk to me and you honestly wasn't I wasn't I was going to come down here and lie, but I can't I just I just feel so sorry for his family and [ __ ] >> I'm really [ __ ] sorry for everybody who knows me and Max who died. like everybody and people like they already start accusing me of it because they heard I was the last one with them. I just didn't want to say [ __ ] to anybody. I just I know once people find out that it's me. It's going to be some people trying to hurt me. >> You think so? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Do you feel that if you're here, are you [snorts] relatively safe here or are people and I mean obviously people talk but like do you recognize anyone here right now that you have a concern of? >> No, not yet. >> Okay. Because that's something too I believe that then they can move them to different areas. Correct. If if need be. So that's something that you got to let people know about. Okay. cuz there are some things that we can do for um for you with that. >> You're telling us though you said it was an accident. >> It was broken. [snorts] If I did have a problem with the way it went to win, I wouldn't I wouldn't be chilling with him all night. That's my [ __ ] boy, homie. And I know he probably feel the same [ __ ] way right now. I just feel so [ __ ] up. >> Did anyone else stop in to hang with you guys for your birthday? They won't even just stop like for a little bit just to say happy birthday. We tried to get people over, but it was a week day, too. So, >> Oh, yeah. I suppose on Wednesday night, >> um Cam came over for a second cuz they just got done kicking out his girl. >> Okay. >> That's why there's no beds and nothing in it. >> Yeah. >> And so everything was by the dumpster. >> Okay. >> And so, I'm not sure what time it I know I don't know what time he came over, but I know he came. I remember seeing him. He came with some other person. He was like, "Oh." He was like, "Damn, what y'all think [ __ ] is doing?" He was like, "Shit was just chilling." He was like, "All right." He was like, "Well, hold my [ __ ] down." He's like, "I trust y'all." And then he end up just leaving. >> Okay. But that was [snorts] like earlier in the night. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> All right. I'm guessing that must be I was given information something about a Facebook live or something. >> Oh yeah, we were. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. [snorts] Damn, I forgot all about that. >> No, no, that's that's okay. I'm just I'm trying to put it all together, you know, in my head, too. >> Yeah, we were live. Um I'm I'm not sure whose Facebook it was. I don't know. It was either me or his. >> Okay. I'm guessing that's how you guys are trying to get people to come over and chill or kind of like hang out with chill and whatnot now. >> All right. All right. So, there's obviously, you know, stuff that we would like to try to locate associated with everything that had happened. [snorts] Is there anything else that you can share with us as to where the gun is or anything is that we can try to >> find it? I end up driving [snorts] um on the highway towards uh where the [ __ ] was it? I hopped on Lombardi. I hopped on Lombardi. I end up going towards um the pier that way. >> Okay. So, I'm 41. >> Um yeah, I'm pretty sure. And then I passed the exit where it says to the airport. >> Mhm. and I end up throwing the gun off the highway and I didn't even like like wipe it down or anything. I just end up tossing the gun. >> Okay. >> So, it's not like wrapped in anything or nothing. It's just sitting out somewhere. >> Um, it's inside of a little uh like a pencil kind of box. Like not like a pencil, like the >> like the soft ones. >> The zip up one >> like those soft like the kids use in school. >> Yeah. Oh, it's in one of those. And I put it in there and I end up talking. Um I'm not I want to say it's like white. It's a white color pencil box, but I don't know. That's okay. It's okay. >> So would it be like on the driver's side or passenger side? Um the passenger. >> Okay. >> You think on the exit? >> It was a little bit past that cuz >> it's like a four lane. >> Yeah. And then that um you see the strao exit airport and then the on one where you come around. I kept going straight and it was like a little after bit them exits like so like in between where there was like grass and [ __ ] It was really tall grass. >> Okay. >> And it was like literally soon as I seen them exits and we just kept going and like just toss it to where I first could see grass. Okay. So, like if you're going down 41 >> and you have that exit splits, right? Is that what you mean? So, you didn't go towards the airport. You stayed. It's like stayed on the main the big highway. >> You stayed on 41. >> Oh, you stayed on 41. >> Yeah. Going towards the pier. >> Okay. >> But we passed the exit. I didn't We We didn't get off on either of the >> Oh, I know what you mean. So, the little grassy spot before the highway goes under. >> Yeah. >> Okay. All right. I didn't obviously I didn't type any of that. Do you want any of that in your statement? Just saying where that's located. It's up to you. It's your It's your statement address. Whatever you want, I will respect. >> No. Okay. [snorts] Is there anything else that you can think of that would be I guess helpful to kind of put all these loose ends together? I don't know. I end up getting rid of my phone. >> Okay. >> What do you mean by getting rid of >> I broke it? So, it's like in the garbage or >> I mean, I didn't even talk to anybody about it, but just besides everybody who kept texting me and asking me what's going on. >> Just kept. Is there anything else you can think of >> that we might be looking for >> that you would be looking forward to? Anything else that we can kind of like put this all together? >> I mean, that's really it. I just I went home and I changed and I end up going to get my car that morning. It's really it >> um you mentioned when you change where where are the clothes from this night? >> Um they they were in my in the room. >> Uhhuh. >> Um she told me you guys took my shoes and um my sweater. I'm not sure where my sweater is. Everything should have just been in the room. I'm pretty sure it's in the room. Um, and like I know she said you guys got my watch. Um, I don't remember wearing that, but I'm pretty sure. I mean, I always wear it. So, >> okay. >> Was there any um bullets for the gun? Yeah, Burton had gave me a box of bullets to hold on to. >> He gave me It was like last week or no, like two weeks ago before it happened. He gave me um he gave me some weed. He gave me his gun and he gave me a box of bullets. um cuz he thought when they kicked out that girl or whatever, he thought the cops and them were coming or whatever. So, he just wanted to get everything out the house. >> Okay. >> So, I end up coming to pick it up and um I didn't give it back to him everything for like the next couple days, but the bullets I don't remember where I put the bullets. I put them in my backpack. Okay. Um, but when I gave him back his stuff, that's all I remember giving him back was his weed and his gun. >> Okay. >> And so I don't I they're somewhere. And I was really trying to think about that, too, cuz that's >> I don't know. >> Is there anything that How would I know like if I found the box, how would I know that they're that they were his? Is there anything distinctive with them that I would know that they're his? >> I mean, not the box is small. They're like little red. They got a red uh the um like like the tip of the bullet. >> Yeah, >> they're red. The um >> shell that comes out of it. >> Yeah, >> they're red. And it's a small box. And there's like a He has another um another uh type of bullet in there. >> Like so there's just different kinds in the box. >> No, they're all red. Like the ones >> Okay. They're all red. And there's one bullet. I think it's just like a regular like a faux metal jacket. Regular. >> Oh, okay. I understand what you're saying. But it's red. >> The shell there. Not the whole bullet. The whole bullet. I want to say it's like gold, but just the tip of it. The part that comes out of the bullet when you shoot it. >> Yep. >> That's red. >> Okay. >> And never heard of it. All right. >> Okay. Oh, >> but she my girl told me too that y'all were looking for like a pink bullet. >> Yeah. >> Yeah, they were red. I'm pretty sure they were red. >> Okay. >> Yeah. I mean, that's that's obviously why I'm asking specific questions. >> And um to be honest, they might still be in my backpack. >> Okay. >> But I'm not totally sure cuz I end up leaving um I end up going to stay by my cousin. Which cousin? I know you have a big family. >> Um, I went to uh well, my auntie's on Smith Street. >> Okay. I don't know if I met her yet. I think she had been at the house. >> Where? >> That's swamp. >> No, no, that's not my family. She's where my girl stays. >> Oh, okay. Okay. I didn't know cuz it's not like there was several people that stayed there. I didn't know whose cousin was who and whose auntie was who. >> Yeah. know, but [snorts] I just I just went to go cuz I couldn't be around that house. I just couldn't. I was so scared and I just try to clear my head and >> go stay by my aunties and I end up getting up and going to court the next day. >> Okay. >> So, what I would like to do, can I just kind of read over this? And there's there's some parts that I think are important. Um, >> can I ask a couple questions before? >> Absolutely. Yeah. So in that room that bed that back bedroom where this happened >> what >> you know in the bedroom in the apartment where where you ended up shooting him right >> I was in there and I did a lot of work in there I just had a couple questions when you said he went to the door did he go anywhere else in the room? Do you remember? >> I know things were probably kind of chaotic at that point, but >> So he went So I like I'm sitting on the couch looking at that TV in there, right? >> You're sitting You're sitting looking at the TV. He's right next to you. He gets up and goes then to the door which is over here. Did he go towards that wall over there at all? >> No, he didn't. But I seen that there was blood on that wall. >> Yeah, there was. That's why I was wondering where that blood how that if he went over there or >> and for somehow I thought that got there too. Like I don't know cuz literally just what I told you guys. I was sitting here like this and we on the couch [snorts] and so like if if I'm sitting next to you and I have like my arm around him. >> Yep. >> And I don't know if he was facing the wall otherwise if he was just facing like sitting back on the couch on the game. And so I I I was sitting there talking. I'm like, "Yeah, man." I was like, "You going to come with me?" Boom. And he end up getting up and he runs to the door over here and he's just he comes back right in front of me and he just dropped and lays down and he just starts tensing up. >> So that's the only the only blood that I seen too was the blood that was on his shirt and I seen like a little small splatter on the wall. >> Yeah. Yeah. There was a splatter on the wall. So that's Yeah. I was just trying to >> if you're talking about if Jo remember at all if he went back to that wall area there or >> not that I remember. I just remember him like literally shadow and he's just like ah I hear I hear a scream and he gets up and he just run walks to the edge of that door and he comes back and I don't I don't know. I don't know if he's like running. He didn't run back and forth, but he ran to the door. I know that. And he came back and then I'm just sitting here looking like And I just remember the smell of that [ __ ] gunpowder. >> Mhm. >> It didn't even My ears didn't even ring. Like that's how that's how I feel like it was so close to him. I couldn't even It wasn't even loud. And I don't know like cuz yeah cuz I don't know if we were like facing each other but I know we were both sitting down and so he could have been like sitting like towards me or something but I I just I just remember like this holding up and we were just chilling and then I don't know if I show you a picture of that area like a map of where you were. Can I show it to you? And and can you tell me if this is kind of the area that you're telling us? >> Yeah. >> So, kind of So, I brought up Google Maps, right? So, we're heading southbound. >> Okay. >> This would be the 172 exit you're talking about. Are you talking about like this area right here? >> Yeah, right in here. Soon as soon as I seen that, we were passing the sign. Yep. >> And I seen the grass, it was like somewhere in here. >> Okay. All right. Thank you. >> Does the name um Tyler Winters sound familiar to you all? >> That's my cousin. >> Okay. Was he there? >> No. I used that name for like that's probably what I might have told the >> Okay. >> the on the phone. >> Okay. I use that name when I order my food and [ __ ] And so it's just a habit literally. I just But then at the time like Yeah. I don't know. I was just so in shock, dude. I was just so scared. I didn't want like I knew eventually I was going to get caught, but I just didn't want it to. I don't know. >> Was there ever any sort of beef between you and B? >> Never. about births >> back in the day. Yeah, there was like a year ago like I say like two two years two years ago we got into an argument and fond of like um I mean do you want me to talk about that or >> No, I just I'm more worried about like just this night if there was any >> reason for you guys to fight about >> No, there wasn't not that night. Not literally. Like if you're thinking I did it intentionally, no, I did not. It's not. I pray to God. I did not want to. I don't got no reason to hurt him. That is my That is my boy. Like we was we was tight. He never even like like really like kicking it with anybody else. And we tell each other that all the time. Like every time we kick it with somebody. Would just even outside of your friendship and relationship with him, was anyone else ever out to get Braxton for any reason? Like, does he have any bad blood with anybody? >> He's Yeah, he does. He's a wild person. I'm not going to lie. He's he's he's crazy. He He just He's the type to not give a [ __ ] either. So, like even then, like I was scared to start hanging back out with him, >> but I mean, >> so it was legit. >> Yeah. And if he wanted to do something too, he would have been did something to me. But he tells me every day, every time I see him, just it's all love for each other. It is. And but there's a couple people he who he's into it with. Um um this little this little uh I'm not sure what he is. His name Ryan. Okay. Um, Ryan, Jamal, um, Ty. Um, I mean, that's really all I know of, but I know like he he he didn't he didn't take [ __ ] from nobody. He did. And I don't know. He that's the main person though who I know is Ryan who he was into it with. >> But like did he have threats coming in at him about stuff like credible like legit threats? >> Not that I know >> or just straight banter >> just talking [ __ ] to each other every time. Yeah. >> Okay. Do you have anything else or I kind of want to read this back and there's a few parts I just I know that he you mentioned that I I think is important to add I just there's points I just wanted to listen so I didn't >> No no thank you. Okay. So, um do you want to see it as I Jimmy? Did you physically want to see here? So, [snorts] you um agreed to speak with me. You were read your rights. Um you waved them, which means you agreed and that you agreed to give a statement. I was at Cam's house at Viking Drive uh with Braxton. It was my birthday. But we uh we were listening to music and drinking bamboo bamboo and coronas. Um I got there around 7:30 p.m. the night before. We were chilling and listening to music and Braxton was on the phone with your cousin. Uh Braxton had a small tan 9 mm on the floor. I picked up the gun with my right hand, but I didn't know it was loaded. We were sitting on the black sofa in the bedroom. I held the gun toward Braxton with the gun touching his right ribs and pulled the trigger. The gun fired and I shot Braxton. He ran into the bedroom and stated, "I'm shot." Braxton turned around and fell to the floor and tensed up. Um, and I want to add more there, but I'll just finish this. Okay. Um, I called for help with my cell phone to 911. I told the dispatcher I heard a gunshot and that I am scared and I wanted to leave. The phone number from that phone that I used to call 911 is this and I got picked up by Kana Bernett around the time the sun came up. Does this so far sound okay? >> Yeah. >> Okay. The only thing that I think that I think is important, but you can totally tell me to pound sand if you don't want to add it. Is just when we talked about how um when you got emotionally said like I didn't mean to do this. Well, then I think that's important. Do you want that added to your statement? >> Yeah. >> Okay. What would you like to get right after where he said, "Um, I'm shot." He turned around and fell to the ground up. And then we started you you had become emotional, which is understandable. was in shock and I didn't >> I was in shock >> and I just I put the gun down and I was just so scared and I literally did not mean to do that [ __ ] I don't know. >> Nothing. That's I'm just I was in shot. I put the gun down and I literally didn't mean to do that. That That's fine. I just I want something in there to reflect that, right? Do you want me to add anything to that statement about how just the things we discussed with like where the gun is or do you want us just to have that be the conversation between us and then we can um invest here can go try to look for that item again. It's complet it's up to you. It's okay. Is there anything else that you would like to share with me or anything else that you think is important for me to know? >> There was a picture I had saw from you guys hanging out that night. There was two guns I saw in a picture. Where did that second gun go? >> Um, that wasn't I'm pretty sure that wasn't the night. Um, but there there was there was a video from that night you were throwing up. He must have It was a It was a rough start, I'm guessing, to the night cuz it wasn't very late in that night at all. >> And I remember seeing on >> the bathroom counter there were two guns stacked there. >> The bathroom counter. >> Yeah. It looked like >> on the vanity. >> Yeah. You know what I mean? Like where the sink is and stuff. And there was a picture looked like there was two guns sitting there. >> Did you ever see two guns in that night or is there only one gun there? Not that I I only ever see Ender see in Braxton's gun. And I know there's >> Can you Can I I'm sorry to interrupt you. When you say that, can you describe his gun like in super detail? Like what does his gun look like exactly? >> It's um silver on top >> and the bottom is tan and it got like a little finger groove on the bottom. And um [snorts] that's really all that I know. >> Okay. Does it have a light on it? Does it have a >> No. >> And that's a 9 mm. Yeah, >> it said. >> But there was no other guns there that you saw. >> No, not that I seen that night. >> Okay. All right. >> Okay. [snorts] >> All right. So then, um, I'll just have you sign this unless there's anything else that you think that's important for me to know. Anything else that you want to share? or even if sometimes what happens is because this I'm sure is going to be a huge offload to you and I can even see it right now you're finally like all that emotion has kind of been let out it's it's likely you will think of something later and if there's more that you want to share or you want to talk about we're 100% open to that too >> it really did just like get a lot off you know to >> I can see it >> talk about it >> you're probably have a ton of different emotions now too to go with it. Don't beat yourself up about having emotion. Okay. You got to just let all that flow and let all that kind of work its way through to Okay. >> Yeah. >> Um, is there anything else that you can think of that would be important or anything else that you want to know? No, not really. just I'm just glad that I got it off my chest, but I'm just scared for what's going to happen cuz I know when they're in court, it's going to they're just going to make it sound bad. >> Well, but I think you have to remember too, you know, you willing to sit and talk with us and you sharing this with us. I mean, that's being cooperative, right? That that does hold some weight, right? I mean, I can't erase what happened. what happened happen. Just the fact that you've been respectful, I feel you've been open and honest with us. I mean, that that's important. >> Yeah. Because you said you had the intention of coming in here and giving us a line of crap and >> it was. >> Yeah. And you shifted gears out of that. That's that's monumental right there. You totally could have just gave us a bunch of fluff, you know, but I think I think you already know that we know a lot of probably what happened that night, you know. know, I mean, obviously, you know, that we have search warrants that were done and, you know, so I I you you made the right decision today. You made the right decision today. [snorts] >> Is there anything else we can help you with or do for you? Otherwise, I'm going to have you sign this. Um, I know it's about lunchtime. I'm sure you're hungry. After this, you probably want to take a big old nap. Yeah. No, there's nothing. >> Okay. >> And you're more than welcome to look this look at this again. The only thing I have um present, what can I list for a home address for you right now for this? This is just your statement worksheet. >> Swamp road. >> Swamp road. Okay. >> I [snorts] assume so, but I just wanted to be sure. >> And I was on the phone. Peggy said I was going to >> Peggy is >> grandma. >> Grandma Well, I mean, let's be real. >> I'm sure she's deaf, right? >> What's it >> to drag our feet in anyway? So, >> once we get everything put together, then it'll go to the DA's office and then the DA's office will will take >> So, like I mean, I don't know. My girlfriend already said that like if you guys were going to take her to jail, she already would have been in jail. >> Well, you know, I'm going to speak very openly about that right now since we've been seem to be very open here. I think, you know, your girlfriend probably has been doing things that could get her in trouble and you know that. Um there's things that she probably got herself involved in that she probably shouldn't have. Um >> but like she didn't know anything though. Like, >> yeah, but her picking me up to everything after that, like she I just don't want her. I just don't >> What about her? What about your phone? >> My phone? I broke it. That's what I'm saying. >> You broke it? >> Yeah. Who broke it? >> I broke it. >> I know you didn't break it. >> Okay. So, >> Right. I know you're I I know you don't want your girlfriend to get in trouble and I'm going to be honest with you, myself and I know my partner and stuff, we're not we're looking to talk with you because this is what we're investigating. I'm not even not even concerned right now about your girlfriend. I'm not. And you're right. If she was that much in trouble, she would have been in jail. >> But we got it. We're going to protect your girl. We're going to protect your baby. We get it. You know, the last thing you want to probably see done is her getting locked up, especially with a with a small baby. I feel the same way. >> But we'll work through that. I don't think we're not >> We're not to that point. >> Yeah. Our goal right now is to talk with you. >> We have a ton of work ahead of us yet. I'm sure we'll be out today hopefully. I'd ask that you not talk to anybody about where the guns thrown out so we can get out there and grab it. Right. Obviously, >> I couldn't even really talk on the phone as much how I wanted to. >> In the 2023 Ashwabanon, Wisconsin case, Pres Wade was charged with firstdegree intentional homicide, felony bail jumping, and resisting or obstructing an officer in the death of Braxton Phillips.
