So, you're in bed, you hear a shot, you go out, she's standing here. >> Mhm. >> And he's still sitting down. >> No, he was he was standing up. >> He was walking around. Yeah. >> In his underwear. >> Mhm. >> And he's and he's coming at her >> bleeding from the side of his head. Yes. >> Is she back? >> Mhm. >> At one point. >> On October 7th, 2014 in Riverside, Washington, Parker Bo was brought in for questioning in connection with the death of Patrick Altus, who had died as a result of gunshot wounds. Spoiler details are in the video description and the full results of all charges in the case are laid out at the end of the video. >> Your cop driver stole a vehicle belonged to Patrick Altus. Okay. Was registered to Paul Mau Murdo. Okay. That's the guy he bought the truck from. >> And there was some stuff in the truck that was taken as well. Okay. >> Um on Let's say today the 7th on Sunday evening. Um Patrick Al was found dead in his house. Okay. He'd been shot. Okay. Are you serious? >> Mhm. Downstairs. And we get there behind him. All the guns are gone. Cuck's gone. And Shane's gone with the dog. And we know that you were living with him prior. You came up from the Yakimo with him. >> Yes. >> Okay. >> And then Shayen came up too. And I don't know what your relationship is with Shayen. Um it's mutual. We're just girlfriend boyfriend. >> Okay. But obviously there were some issues with Patrick. >> Okay. And I I'm not I don't kind of [ __ ] around. I just tell you what the facts are. Yes, sir. Um, we're looking at you directly for the murder of Patrick. Yeah. And and we're going to when we're done here, we're going to go to a search warrant on the truck in our motel rooms. >> Okay. Cuz we know what guns are missing. We know what ammunition was used. There's an autopsy being done today. Um, and right now you're the one we're looking at. Shayen's being talked to as well. And she also talked to this guy last night and she pretty much told us what she knew. And I'm aware I just found out that she also talked to a mental health counselor in jail and pretty much told everything again this morning to a mental health counselor. >> That's pretty consistent with what she told him last night. So I'm here. I'm not going to blow smoke up your bottom or anything. Now's the time to deal with this and get out front because we know kind of what the facts are >> and we know you were there. We know he was last seen when he last talked to people on text. Um we're tracking his cell phone um which is down here. Um so what's going on? What happened up there? >> Well um like you say uh I was out in Yakama at the CRC and I met her sister. >> Mhm. and u me and her sister we run off and then he shows up with Shayen and then uh he takes us all up there and uh I was doing some work for him. We were building fence. >> Mhm. >> And um I don't know. Uh supposedly um he did something to her. I don't know what it was. >> Tell me about that. >> But she wouldn't talk to him. She didn't look me in the eye. I I've been noticing you going on for a couple days, you know, and I said, "Pastor, I don't know what you've done, but I'm leaving." And uh she says, "Well, I'm coming with." So uh I walk off one night and uh I'm heading down the mountain and uh I almost make it Riverside and here she comes in the truck and I said, "Okay, you know, is there fun with the truck or what's going on here?" and you get in and uh get a hold of a buddy. We get 250 bucks on the wire and we go get some gas, you know, so we can drive it down here cuz I'm not supposed to move down the curtain like you know and we drive down here. We don't have any of I mean [clears throat] this is where we run law enforcement or anything. We just drove straight down here. >> How did you get here? What route did you take? Um, I drove down 12 down past the uh Tri Cities and then I went down past Big and just follow the river all the way down Portland and then came down uh on the I5. >> So when you left Riverside, which way did you go? >> Um, south >> south on >> um I'm not sure what road that is. Down past uh it goes down through Wanchachi and all that, you know. So, we went through Wachi. >> Mhm. >> And then what was the next town? >> Um, what is the next town? Um, I don't know. There's a few little towns out there. I remember just going over the mountain and I saw the turn off little one. Um, it's in the basin. I know that. NA. Okay. I don't want to say I'm thinking. And what was the next one? Um again, I it had to be in the basin. I mean um you been down over in the valley then. So yeah, maybe I don't know. >> So then after you said Tri Cities. >> Yeah, Tri Cities. You went down Fox 21 all the way down Tri Cities and we went just across the border and follow the river all the way down to Digs. >> Where'd you cross the river at? Um right there where the Wall River meets the Columbia. >> Is that south of uh Pasco? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Okay. So you went down the river on Washington side or the Oregon side? >> Oregon side and a little bit on the Washington side cuz we had to. >> What part was that? >> Um where it crosses the snake and kind of stays on the east side of the Columbia. >> Mhm. So then you get on the road side and head where? >> Um to a big junction and then continually follow uh 12 westbound I think Portland and the five. >> On which side? >> To the Oregon side. >> Okay. And then you hit that you hit what road you after that? >> I5 >> and took it out to where? >> Screw. >> Okay. Okay. So, what day was all that that you guys left up there? Um gosh, I'm not even really sure. Feels like 3 or 4 years ago. >> Mhm. >> Whose idea [clears throat] was it to come down to your post? >> It was my idea originally because that's where I was going anyways. I figured I just hitchhike cuz hitchhike hitchhiking is legal in Oregon. >> Mhm. So, I figured I was going to get there one way or the other. Here she comes blowing down the mountain in his truck. And I'm just like, "What are you doing?" She says, "We're coming." I jump in the driver's seat and take them on. Then decided she wanted to come home with me. So >> So did you guys have any gear in the truck or anything? >> Like survival gear? >> Just clothes, whatever. >> Yeah, we had a few garments. I mean, she did mostly. What was all on the track? >> Um, some sweaters, some jeans, bras, um, like a little box apple cider for making stuff drink. >> What was in the back of the truck? >> Um, a couple gas cans. Uh, make a fishing pole. Uh, and when I got down here, my dad put his weed burn in there and never really saw a [ __ ] Where did all the guns come from? >> Um, he has firearms. I mean, he had a 20 gauge palm. >> Who did? >> My dad. >> Oh, the ones are in a truck in your motel. >> Which motel room? >> Yours? >> Ours? Number nine? >> Mhm. >> There's no firearms. >> Is that the one they were in? Nine. >> They were in nine. Dad was in 15. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. But there were no firearms in our nine or 15? >> 15. They >> were in 15. And where did they come from? >> My father knows it. How >> they registered? >> Yes, I did. >> Okay. >> What about the handguns? >> What handguns? >> In the truck. >> There were handguns in the truck. >> Mhm. >> What caliber? >> 22. >> I was unaware of this. >> Yeah. Okay. So, why did you decide to leave Patrick's house? Uh, like I said, personally, I noticed a couple days before um she stopped talking to him, she wouldn't look him directly in the eye, and I said, "I don't know what you're doing, Patrick, but I'm leaving." And I started walking down the mountain, and like I said, I almost made it to Riverside. And here she comes down, blowing down the mountain in the truck. >> What time of day was that? >> It was dark. >> So, like what time? >> Probably around 10:30, 11:00 at night by the time I made it down there. >> What day was that? Do you remember 3:30? First night around 10:00, >> something like that. >> Okay. So, how long you been staying at Patrick's house? >> Uh, I've been out there a couple weeks. >> And did you come up at the same time Shayen did? >> No, I came to go back to town and I couldn't cuz I was working for him. It's kind of like a bro state thing to where like I do the work and he just lets me stay. Mhm. How long have you known Patrick? >> Just met him when I he shows up in this truck, same truck, and takes us up there. Okay. So, tell me about when CRC. >> Um, well, I was doing some community service there and there wasn't anybody there she really liked. Um, I'm kind of the outdoorsy type, so I guess she kind of gravitated towards me. we develop a friendship and then we decided to run off one night because um I don't know she didn't want to go back with her dad or something like that and there was just all these mitigating factors and then we run off and then unbeknownst to me he sat down the street in the vict waiting for us and we just jumped in and go >> sitting down the street from where? >> Um like the part down the street from the CRC. >> Okay. So you guys left to see our city. >> Mhm. >> Yeah. >> And then how did you meet Patrick? >> Okay. And then how did that what you just told me again? You guys left and he was parked down the street. >> Yeah, he was he was parked across the street from CRC by the park waiting for us. And then where did you go? >> Um almost directly to his residence up in Okanag. >> Yes. >> So what about Shayen? >> Shayen was previously in his custody I believe because she was there before everything. >> Okay. So how three or four days I think. >> And how'd she get back? I'm pretty sure he took her back to town because she wanted to live with her dad and so that worked out. >> So you were working around the place for him. That was a >> dream building fence, helping out with the neighbors and stuff, you know. >> Okay. What was Shayen doing? >> Uh just going to school. Um she helped us build the chicken coop and stuff. That's about it. >> Which one's the chicken coop? Is that front or back? Uh, it's in the front like right next to them like where the birds are. Right there sheep. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Came back with you and him from the CRC. Okay. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Who's >> neighbor boy? >> How do you know him? >> Um, came up and work on the place once in a while. You? >> Uh, not really personally known. >> How long have you known him? >> Couple weeks. He He's been there. He was He was digging holes before I showed up. Okay. >> And who's uh Christy Neely? Britney Keely. Who's Britney? Key. >> I don't know. Well, a week or so before all this went down, uh, you guys had a run in with a neighbor up there. >> Oh, yeah. Yeah. >> Some trespass dog issues. >> Yeah, I remember that. >> And you gave cops that showed up. Whose name? How can we get that? >> Because I was running with juvenile. >> Okay. And then and you guys got contacted by the state police down here. >> Okay. And what did Shayen do? >> Probably something he'd give that name. >> Um because we were runaway juveniles. >> Missing persons. You weren't entered as runway juvenile. You are a war of the state, but you weren't listed as a runaway. What? >> I thought that's what their protocol is to notify authorities that you run away. >> No way to record you run away that I'm >> this time. >> I guess I'm visual. >> Yeah. So, your story is that you're walking down the road at night to Riverside and Shayen picks you up in the truck. >> Mhm. >> You guys hauled about down to your dad's. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Where was the dog? >> Oh, the little thing that she had um with us the whole time. >> Where's the dog now? Um I guess it's with um some other residents that were staying at the motel who wanted to buy from us. >> Mhm. >> So he talked to Shayen last night pretty extensively and her story is a hell of a lot different than yours. >> So what's going on with that? >> I don't know. Somebody's got to be lying. >> So who's lying? >> Well, personally, I'm not sure. So, she'd lie. >> I wouldn't call her a liar. >> Well, then why is her story so much different? >> And her story fits scene and the facts as we know it a lot better than yours do. >> This is your opportunity to dig yourself out of a hole, dude. I'm not going to I'm not going to sit here and lie to you, you know. No, >> that's not how we operate. >> Not how I operate. >> I mean, we pretty much know what happened. This is your opportunity to man up and tell us what happened. That's going to make your life a hell of a lot easier down the road. But your story is not fitting with what the facts are showing us. It's not driving her story either. >> Okay. Like I say, a couple days before all this happened, I noticed that she wasn't looking at him. She wasn't talking to him. Um, something happened, right? >> Is that cuz of the deal in the bathroom? >> Is she one of the guys with her place? >> He talked to her quite a bit. She talked to mental health counselor quite a bit. The details are fitting. >> Okay. >> And we're still talking to her down the hall. >> She's talking. >> Okay. Tell me about that. It's in the family. I guess his father um did it to them. His brother is dysfunctional or her family's dysfunctional. Um she's the youngest, I guess. So that means she's subject to all this. >> So when did he rape her? >> Um um Wednesday Wednesday morning, I believe. So, tell me about that. >> Um, I was outside doing some work. Um, I hear you screaming, yelling, going in the house. She says, "Get the [ __ ] out." So, I got on the porch. So, there I think about finding the authorities and the neighbor or something, you know, turning all this over to you guys. Well, if I don't, of course, I just sit there and buy the time back and um she goes off to school and start doing some more work around the place, you know, kind of doing finishing up what I was doing for her. She comes home that night, >> Tuesday night. >> Yeah. Or I I don't know. All this time frame is just got so strung out. Um, okay. She comes home. Uh, we eat dinner. We burn some garbage. And he's a firefighter. He knows better than that to burn. Wanted to burn that on. Anyways, besides the point, we do. And, uh, I go to bed and she goes to bed and, uh, about 12:30, 1:00 in the morning, I hear some more screaming, yelling. I hear I know it was a gunshot. So I go out. He's sitting there bleeding in the couch. She's holding the 22 win mag in her hands and um I grab up before and um shot him in the face. >> Then what happened? >> Well, she keeps on screaming y'all. I take her outside. I puke. She pukes. And um that's it really. I go and cover the man up. Um, then I say get everything you need because this is it. >> Um, I take off and um I say stay here and call the police tomorrow morning and I had a backpack and the count back on. I take off over the hill and u I'm making my way on down the riverside and here she comes going down a mountain come pick me up and we continue to run. >> Which way did you go when you hit Riverside? >> South Mountain. >> You didn't go up to a park in Canada? >> No. >> And then went over and took the ferry across the river. >> No. >> Okay. So, what did you take from Riverside? Um, we just went south through Okonogan and Washi and all that. >> Okay. So, >> you took that you guys took the guns with you? >> Yes, they were in the vehicle, I believe. >> Mhm. >> The 410 and the 22. >> Mhm. >> Okay. So, getting back to after you shot him and you covered him up, how was that? How'd you cover him up? put a blanket over him, put a plastic bag over his face. >> Why'd you put the bag in his face? >> Because he's bleeding all over the home. I didn't want the household to be anymore. You know, devastated then it was in case he went to the kids or something. >> Mhm. >> What was Shayen doing during all this? >> Just crying and shaking. Couldn't let go of that 22. She was just holding tighter now. >> And was that the rifle or the handgun? Uh 22 women. It was it was a rifle. >> Okay. >> So, run me through the shooting part again. >> When you first said to her heard to pop, where were you? >> Yeah. I was I was laying in there sleeping. >> In which room? >> Um his son's bedroom. Um which should be the first one next to the bathroom. >> Two beds. No, that's the that's >> cuz there's like four room. One's a storage, one's his. There's one with two heads. And there's another one with a single bed with a bunch of stuff in it. >> Yeah. Which one? >> That's the single bed with much stuff in it. >> Okay. So, you were sleeping in there? >> Mhm. >> Where did Shayen sleep? >> The one of the two beds. >> Okay. So, you guys weren't bunking together? >> No. >> Okay. >> He would never allow that. >> Okay. So, you're in bed? >> I'm laying in bed. >> Are you asleep? >> Yeah. I was sound asleep and I uh he was just screaming and soling and then this and I roll over thinking what in the hell because I knew it was a guy shot and I go out there and he's just there's blood pouring out of this man's head. >> Where's he at in the room? So I know where the couch >> by the coffee table and she's standing at the edge. She's standing down by the end of the couch. TV's off. And I just see her there clutching that damn the bolt was so close. The action was it smelled like [ __ ] gunpowder and sulfur. I knew what had happened and he was going for it and I just grabbed up that 14 and I shot him in the face. >> Okay. He said he was going for it. Tell me about that. >> He was trying to grab the gun out of her hands. >> Okay. because he knew she she shot him. >> Where did she shoot him at? >> From what I saw, um either side of his head, I believe it was a crane shot that took place. Um somewhere in the upper area of his head, I believe >> like front, back, >> side, >> side, I believe. Somewhere in the side because it was running down side of his face. >> And he's on the couch still? No, he he was up he was up and around. He was moving around, screaming, yelling. >> Okay, so let me back up a little bit. When you come down the hall going towards the living room, the kitchen's here, living room, front door, I believe it is, and there's a back door through the kitchen. >> When you come down that hall, the TV's in this corner. >> There's a couch here under the window >> and there's a door. And then there's another couch that sits this way. >> Mhm. >> So where which couch will we see at? the one parallel to the door. >> So that's the door and the couch right here. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> So you come down the hall. >> I come down the hall. >> What do you see? >> She's standing in the couch. >> This one? >> Yeah. One. Okay. >> By the door. >> Here's the TV. Here's the couch. Here's this couch. >> Mhm. >> He's standing right here. She's standing right here. She's clutching the 22 wind mag. >> She She's shivering, shaking. She's turning different colors. He is screaming and yelling, "You shot me, you [ __ ] [ __ ] You shot me, you [ __ ] bitch." And um he he almost gets close to him, but she he's backing up. And >> is he still sitting? >> No, he's standing. He was moving around. >> Okay. >> Um he's approaching her, trying to get a hold of her. Um, he knocks the gun out of her hand and I grab the 410 and shoot him once in the face. >> Okay. Where was the 410 at? >> Uh, by the door. >> Which door? >> The sliding glass door. >> That's the one in front, right? >> Yes. >> Okay. And was he standing when he shot? >> Yes. >> Okay. So, so he stands up. So, there's a couch here, there's a couch here, there's a coffee table here. >> Yeah. >> And the TV, right? >> Yeah. >> So, where's she standing? Oo, got a little sketch. Just so I can orient myself a little bit. listen to scale and I'm not an artist. Something like this all over the bedroom. It goes like this. The kitchen's here. Does that kind of make sense? >> Mhm. >> He would be She was right here. I believe she shot him when he was here. >> Okay. >> He stands up. >> He backs away towards me. >> Mhm. >> He's here. He knocks the gun out of her hands. He He's not able to um grab the off the ground. >> What's he wear? >> What's he wearing? Underwear, I believe. >> Okay. >> Um I'm here. I approach him. Um, I see that he's been shot. He's screaming, yelling. She's here on the ground. I want I walk over here. Um, get a hold of the firearm. He is begging for someone to put him out of his misery. And um, >> he's he told you that? >> I I do. So, >> Mhm. >> And then >> So, he's standing. >> Yes, he's standing screaming, yelling. And where are you standing? >> I I'm here. I I walk over here to the door to get the firearm. >> Okay. >> Um approach him and by then he's on his knees aging for >> So you're about here >> roughly. >> Yes. >> And he's where? >> Uh it would be here. >> Okay. >> So you're over here. You got the gun and he's doing what? >> Um at the point I had the firearm in my hands. He was on his knees screaming, yelling for someone to take his life. >> Um I shot him. >> Where? Where? >> Um sadly enough, it was bird shot and in the face. >> And then what he did? >> Um dropped dead. >> You guys dump another one in? >> No. Uh that was the the first round I believe is the one that um he took on the side of the head when he was on the couch over there because that's what it looked like to me because there was blood pouring on the side of his face. >> Where'd you get this one? >> Um I'm the one who shot him in the face with the 14. That's it. >> Bird shot. >> Yes, sadly enough. >> Okay. So then after you shot him, what' he do? Um, all dead like I say. >> Okay. How would you Did he kick around? >> No, there was no No. >> So, when he hit the ground and quit moving, what was his position? Was it on his belly? >> Yes. No, he was laying flat >> on his back. >> Yes. >> And which way was his head? >> Um, I believe it was somewhat like that. >> So, put your finger where How do you think his head's at? >> Right there where you go on the red line there. >> Head. Okay. Where's his feet? >> M somewhat like right here. >> Stick figure. >> Yeah, like that. >> Yeah. >> Call his feet. >> So he lay them like this. >> Mhm. >> Where's his hands? >> Um I believe they were laying vertically to his sides >> like that. >> Yes. >> Okay. So he after you shot him, he pretty much just fell over and didn't quit moving. >> Oh, he was immediately dead on in his back. Yes. Okay. So then what did you guys do? >> Um I took her outside and cute. >> What was she wearing? >> Um like these little short booty shorts and a bra and like this purple white gray striped sweaters parking kind of sweater. >> Okay. And this was Tuesday night around 10:00. I >> I believe so. >> Okay. And you were in bed? >> Yes. >> When you How long have you been in bed? Any idea? >> 3 4 hours. >> So, it's around 10:00. >> Yeah. >> So, you know, when Shayen went to bed? >> I don't believe I I wasn't awake when she went to bed. Um, she'd been up with him watching TV, I believe. >> When you went to bed? >> Mhm. >> Okay. Put the date on her before I forget. It's It's Tuesday, isn't it? >> It's 12:25. So, you're in bed, you hear a shot, you go out, she's standing here. >> Mhm. >> And he's still sitting down. >> No, he was he was standing up. >> He was walking around. Yeah. >> In his underwear. >> Mhm. >> And he's And he's coming at her >> bleeding from the side of the head. Yes. >> And she backs up. >> Mhm. >> At one point. >> At what point do I fire? >> No. At what point you said you grabbed something? >> She grabbed the barrel of her firearm and tried to get it away from her, but she I don't know if it was involuntary or she was physically holding on to it as hard as she could because it literally jerked her forward and she did not let go. >> Okay. that you saw him bleeding out the side of the face >> and I immediately knew he was wounded if not mortally um potentially fatally. >> Okay. So, when you guys went outside, you both puked and then what happened? >> Um I went back inside and covered up the body >> and and you did that by I think you said you put a blanket. >> Yes. And the plastic bag over his head, I believe. Yes. >> Where did the blanket come from? >> It was just sitting there. No. No, I grabbed one out of my bedroom. >> Was it one blanket? Two blankets? >> Two blankets, I believe. >> You got those out of your bedroom? >> Yes. >> Where did you get the bag? >> A plastic bag was just sitting in the kitchen. >> Okay. >> I just happened to see it and said, "Okay." >> So, when you was covering them up, what was Shayen doing? >> Outside crying. >> Okay. So, after you covered him up, did she ever see him? >> We did. We did reenter the household, I believe. Um, >> but when she came back in, was he covered or uncovered? >> I was covered. >> Okay. Okay. >> So, then you guys come back in then what happened? I mean, you guys are obviously talking about something. >> What the hell do we do now? >> Mhm. >> Um, I guess we were just in shock walking around like a bunch of retards. Um, was let's see. We got dressed. We got some little bit of clothes together. Threw them in the pickup. Um, I tried to call my dad. Couldn't get a hold of him. >> What' you try and call him on? >> Um, his phone. >> Whose phone? >> Patrick's. >> Is that cell phone or house phone? >> Cell phone. That's all there is, I guess. Um, >> and it didn't work. >> No, I couldn't get a hold of my folks. You >> mean the phone didn't go through or your dad didn't answer the phone? >> My dad didn't answer. >> Okay. Um then >> that's it really just um so so you guys load up stuff in the truck. What time did you leave about? >> Midnight City. >> Who was driving? >> I was driving. >> Okay. So tell me everything that you guys took from the house or the shop or whatever and put in the truck before you left. >> Um I put a toolbox in the back of the truck. There was already tank in there. Um, I grabbed the hatchet, I think. >> Mhm. >> That's That's it. Just sleeping bags. Just sleeping bags in the hatchet. >> Any tools or anything? >> No. >> Well, you said something about fishing poles earlier. >> Yeah, I think I think we might have had a fishing pole. >> Yeah. Any equipment, powers, tools, chainsaws, anything like that? I don't know if I should have though. I don't know. I just I don't mind dead, man. >> So, had you driven that truck before? >> No, but I'm fully capable of operating heavy equipment and smaller vehicles of that nature. >> Mhm. Okay. So, then when you guys left, you pretty much took the route you told me earlier. >> Okay. Did you guys So, did you take Patrick's phone with you? >> Yes. >> And where's it at now? >> Um, it's in pieces somewhere down by the park, I think. >> Is that behind where your folks got the shop back by the creek? >> Um, yeah, the general area. Yeah. >> So, you mean it's in pieces? >> Like she used to charity. >> How? With her hands. So Shaylin destroyed the phone. >> Yes. >> Okay. What about his wallet and his ID and all that stuff? Where'd you put that? >> I think it might have been in the truck. I think he's still in the truck. >> Still in the truck. >> I think so. He What about his wallet? Um, I think he had it on the couch with him. >> Yeah. But did you guys take it? >> No. >> But you did take his ID. >> No, I think there was something with registration and all that. >> Okay. Do you guys take any money from him? >> No. >> How'd you get money to travel? >> Like I said, I got $250 on the wire from >> And that was when >> the following day. We're at >> um question. >> You know would have been on what? Wednesday. >> Yeah. >> Okay. So you guys this happened on on a Tuesday. You guys left about what did you say 1:00? >> Wednesday morning. Mhm. >> Start driving. Mhm. [clears throat] And >> when did when did you get to >> when did you get to here and then we'll back up. I want to say like a day and a half later. It was towards the evening when we got here. >> That was after you ran out of gas on the road. >> Yeah. >> Now, was that pretty close to where your dad is when you ran out of gas? >> Yeah, we were a few miles up the road >> on the highway. >> Yeah. >> My calendar here a minute. >> Why didn't you guys intervene before this? I mean, if you know all this. Um because he wasn't found until almost a week after. >> Okay. So today the 7th. >> Mhm. >> You guys shot him on the 30th of September, which was a Tuesday. Does that sound right? >> Yes. >> And on the 1st of October, which is a Wednesday, is when the trooper stopped you. Correct. >> I believe so. That's what [clears throat] he says. >> That's the time we relively ride. >> So that's the same. So when the trooper stopped you, that was a or night time. >> Okay. And then so that would have been the first Wednesday. And then you guys first checked in the motel, I believe, on Thursday. >> Mhm. >> Cuz the night of the Wednesday, the first you guys were camping. Is that right? >> I think so. >> Okay. So you left Wednesday morning for you. You said one, >> I believe. So, >> okay. >> Okay. So, on his phone, I haven't seen the phone records yet cuz they're still coming. How much did you guys use his phone? >> We didn't use it all. >> Mhm. >> Didn't make any calls on the way down. >> No. >> Okay. >> Better than that. >> So, your buddy on the Western Union, when did you get a hold of him? Um the following night give him a call and he says okay. >> And where's he from? >> So he acquired you 200 bucks at the West. Mhm. >> Well, who was he? What's his name? Is he a kid you grew up with? >> Yeah. Is he about how old? My age 16. Know where he lives? on loud and scooshy. They're >> pretty close, aren't they? >> Yeah. >> What's his phone number? >> 509. >> Mhm. >> 420. >> Mhm. >> 1536. >> A sale. >> Yeah. >> So, he wires your money. You guys take off? >> Mhm. >> So, when you ran out of gas, did you guys run out of money or just time to ran against guys? >> Yeah. Well, I had a little bit in the jar, so it barely got us there. So, we're done perfectly. >> Before you got rolling trooper came out. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Okay. So, getting back to this night, um, did Shayen talk about this before it actually happened? She never mentioned it to me. >> Okay. So, backing up, you said that he raped her on was it Tuesday morning? >> He's been repeatedly raping her for I don't know how long. But um the last I remember I believe was Wednesday morning. >> Wednesday morning or Tuesday morning? >> Wednesday or Tuesday morning. One or the other. >> Cuz you guys, we just talked earlier. I think you're almost out of Oregon by Wednesday morning. >> Yeah, probably been Tuesday morning. >> Okay. So, you said that was the last time. How long had that been going on? >> Um, I don't know how long she'd been up there. I think a few weeks at least. >> Mhm. >> So, how did you become aware that was going on? >> Through um telltale um signs, you know, just this frightened sort of behavior to where there's this underlying factor that is unnounced, you know. um the way he touched her, the way these things, I mean, it was it was apparent that something was taking place. I mean, whether it be some sort of sexual abuse in one form or another, you know. >> Mhm. I'm I'm not I think the first time I got on to it like I say was just a few days before that I noticed that she was really having troubles um sitting still eating drinking things. >> So when did she push to tell you something was going on? about a day before she mentioned to me when I was out working in the shop that he touched her and I didn't know what to do about it. I really didn't. >> What did she tell you? >> Um, he'd been doing things to me. >> Tell me about that. Um he tried to do these weird little things where he'd go in the shower when she was taking a shower supposedly and um strip her, play with her, and inevitably abuse her um as he saw fit. I guess that's that's the first thing that I ever heard about. >> And that was the day before that she told you that? Yeah, I believe so. That's really the first I I saw her in mud. >> Okay. So then you said that on the morning of Tuesday that he raped her. >> Yes, I believe so. Before she went to school. >> Tell me about that. Um, like I said, I was out in the shop working and I hear screams from the house and I go up and uh he says to get the [ __ ] out of here and I go out on the porch and uh have a chew to back up and just go back to do what I was doing kind of intro of the day. I pondered on it. I never really came to a conclusion on what the hell. When you pack backing up, you heard heard her yelling or screaming. You came in. Did you see her? >> No. Like he was in the bathroom. >> Okay. >> And then uh >> what I mean what happened right after that with her? Did she go back to bed or >> just went to school? >> Okay. >> Did she drive to school? >> No. How' she get there? >> Does it come all the way up the road? >> No, she has to do it on the run. >> Where's that? Is that by the pavement? >> That [snorts] would be the end there. Yeah. >> Okay. Does she walk down there? >> Yeah. Well, sometimes he takes her. >> How about that one? I think you took her. >> Okay. >> So, she goes to school and you go out and shop and you're thinking about this whole day. >> Mhm. >> Does he ever talk to Patrick about it? >> He wouldn't get in front of me. He wouldn't even look me in the eye, you know. um he knew that I knew something was going on and I don't think he fully knew what to do about it because at that point in time we was harmonating um a juvenile fugitive, you know, and I could potentially expose him and his misguided ways, you know. Um >> Mhm. >> other than that, there wasn't much leverage between us. It was just a mutual, you know, I I do this work and you compensate me for it. where you see fit, you know. >> Mhm. >> And we continued on that basis until that night when she shot him and I shot him. >> And did she did you guys talk about it before she did it? >> No. It was um like I said, I was sleeping and I just hear that >> just this real sharp crack, you know, 22 mag. >> Mhm. loud and forward especially in concealed >> area like that. Um and then like I said go out there she's fling from the side of the head screaming yelling at her tries to grab it from her and um she doesn't let go. He drifts her whole body and he can't get a hold of it. And then I go and grab the 410. And he he he was he wasn't trying to like I don't know if he was trying to shoot her too or not, but he was I think he was trying to actually put the barrel of the gun to his head. I don't know if he knew what he done or what, but >> Mhm. >> he was physically trying to get the weapon from her. And uh I ended his life. So, here we are. >> Josh, >> so we talked about covered a lot of ground here. >> Mhm. [clears throat] >> There's no need for attorneys or any of this. Just some prison. >> Well, we're not there yet. Is there anything that else you want to talk about during this whole time that you thought about or is she okay? >> You guys are both going to be okay. You're going to be in some trouble, but you're going to be okay. Good thought. Pretty wild, isn't it? >> I would have never thought that that man could do that to a girl. It happens unfortunately. >> All right. Do you have any questions for me? >> No, sir. Um, you know what? I'll be transported back to um Washington. >> No, I don't. We were talking about that this morning. You are a warden state. >> Yes. Um, I've talked to some people there, but since we're in a different state, there's going to be some stipulation. Yeah. Some things they got to figure out how to do that since you're at your home. Okay. [snorts] You have any questions for me at all? >> Are the kids okay? I mean, how are they handling it? >> I don't know them. Um, I' I've talked to Shaylen's dad and I've talked to his dad, but the kids, I haven't talked to any of them. Um, my partner, but the other kids I don't haven't talked to. I'm not sure anybody has. Okay. Well, um, we talked about a lot of things today, partner. Is everything you told me today been true? >> Yes, sir. >> Did anything you told me today not been true? >> Yes, sir. Which one's not true? >> Some of the information I first gave you was invalid. >> And that's because why? >> Just trying to make the situation something that isn't. >> Okay. Like I said, now's the time to get out and give you a call. >> Yes, sir. >> Because the courts will favorably on that. Okay. Well, I don't have any more questions. You got any questions for me? >> No. In the 2014 Riverside, Washington case, Parker Boach told was charged with firstdegree aggravated murder, and related offenses in the death of Patrick Altus.
